Ali A: If you're interested in real persian rugs, high quality and hand made/craft, this place is one of the best within DC/VA/MD area. Their prices are fair, considering the fact that not every store has the real/genuine persian rugs, so you should consider higher values. They have other rugs with different origins, but if you compare side by side, the persian crafts with others, you will see the difference clearly. There are plenty of nice and pretty rugs, different sizes and styles, variety of colors, and different materials. The best are the silks rugs, and then the combination of silk/wool. Of course your budget is very important, bear in mind that for a medium quality 5'×3' size silk/wool rug, the minimum price tag is 800$. The store manager and associates are professional and polite, and calmly help you to find a nice rug within your budget limitation. I went there during a sale event, the deal items were good.

Angela C.: I came in and was greeted immediately by friendly staff. Then I asked for a specific design of rug (Mahi fish pattern) and the owner brought out 4 or 5 for me to choose from. I ended up going a little over budget with a silk/wool rug from Tabriz but it was worth it! It was delivered to me and came with a high quality rug pad. I've been to a couple other rug stores in NoVA and this one in DC was by far the best!

I bought a few antique carpets and the owner will have them washed and repaired. Muhammed and Pedro, who work at Pasargad were also very helpful and nice, they showed me several carpets while I decided which ones I wanted to purchase. I highly recommend this store, they have gorgeous carpets, old and new and they were very accommodating.

Tim C: Four generations in, Pasargad is a family-owned rug purveyor providing a wide variety of high quality, hand-made rugs at very good prices (as far as such things go). The rug styles range from traditional to modern. The quality ranges from excellent to ultra-premium masterpieces. The owner David is knowledgeable, professional, and deeply committed to his craft. He's friendly, listens well, is patient, and works with you. My wife and I just bought a rug at Pasargad. It was an excellent experience and we are very happy with our purchase. If you're looking for a long-lasting, well-made rug, I highly recommend a visit.

Emil Ahmadi: Don't waste your time going here. When I checked out their credit card reader could not read my credit card. I had just used the card in Target few minutes earlier so I know it wasn't my card. The cashier admitted this has been happening all day. Unfortunately their new credit card machine is so advanced that they are not able to swipe or manually enter card info. Im Sure if you can wait for every single staff member to come and help someone can fix the issue but you would have waited 30minutes to just pay.

Rose Bailey: No AC on in the store, cashiers and workers up front goofing off loudly, and to top it off when checking out the cashier not even checking is out was barking orders about how to unload the cart.

Diane Stewart: Love my sectional. It is the most comfortable spot in my home. I'm upset I haven't been Shopping here sooner.

Ryan Peters: One of my favorite stores. Lots of great decor, toys, furniture, Wine, Beer, and tons of unique food items that change out on a pretty regular basis. You'll definitely have a fun time shopping every time you visit. They have a loyalty program that's pretty decent and ends up giving you discount coupons throughout the year. The furniture selection is reasonably priced and typically pretty high quality.

Edward Sibert: Went in last week to buy two nice bottles of wine for my fiancée. Didn't know anything about their wine and asked for help. A gentleman pointed out two bottles one said it was semi sweet, I told him didn't want sweet he said its not. Both wines were horrible, one was like sugar water with bubbles the other was just horrible and cost 22 plus tax. I called to complain and manager said well you opened them sorry. I told her I would write a review she said ok. I will never buy anything from here rude and no knowledge of their products....but they'll pretend they do.

Sharon: I went into this store to purchase a piece of wall art recently. Big, poster, red sale signs throughout the store, "Save 20%-50% off wall decor". I went to purchase wall decor item, I was told by manager the sale is for Members Only. The big, red poster signs did not state "for Members Only". She went and got a little, small black/white index card that states Members Only for wall decor sale. I accuse this company of deceptive advertising with the use of confusing, misleading & blatant untrue sale signs. ALL signs should read Members Only if this is who the sale is for. Filed VA State Attorney General Consumer complaint and BBB complaint. Can't stand companies that do this crap.

Lavonnia Johnson: You will always find something in this store for your home. There are many unique items to look at. You may just find what you are looking for.

Carla Ferguson (Your Bon Viveur): They always have the best items in stock from household items, to furniture, to gift able items, and a great variety of food, snacks and wines.

Francis Campbell: These stores are always an adventure to shop in as I never know what I'll find.Some are stocked with those hard to find specialty items you didnt know you needed and small imported items toucan find anywhere else. Some things are overpriced in my estimation but that's life now.Love the selection of spicy items I find here and the variety of German chocolate's my wife like. Those " nick nack" food items and teas, the wife likes, will keep me coming back.

n mb: Just had a great experience with Hadeed Carpet Cleaning! We had two (one small and one medium) oriental rugs sent for cleaning. They did an exceptional job cleaning the rugs, and we appreciated that pick up and drop off were included. All staff - via phone, email, and in person - were very kind, helpful, and professional. Will use again + will recommend, thank you Hadeed!

Erin Sprague: I had an initial issue with them when I had to call and find out when my rugs were going to be delivered, and they tried to charge me double what I had originally been quoted (although after much back and forth they admitted their mistake and made this right). I paid for an express service which was around $236 for two rugs (about $118 per rug). Express service means that they do not inspect the rugs after being cleaned. I had assumed there was a difference between a detailed inspection VS seeing that a giant stain in the center of the rug was still plainly visibly after cleaning. I think the cleaning service they performed actually made this stain worse than it was before, because it’s as if the cleaning they did brought more stain to the surface of the rug. I called to complain and they insisted there was nothing to be done because I didn’t pay for an inspection. I paid $118 for my rug to look worse than it did before. Never going to this place again.

Musadaq Hussein: I brought my old runner to clean, and it was not a great shape. They clean and repair my runner without charging me the cost of repair I paid the cleaning part. My Runner is looking like a new and I thank you for your help, I hope very Services Company can do that. Good jobHussein

Azza AlGhamdi: Wonderful store with international products that cannot be found in regular stores. My only dislike is that things can be overpriced there. You need to be a smart shopper so you buy only the unique products not the common things from here. My visit was in October and I found lovely holiday season decorations.

Elizabeth Billups: I accidentally thought its was a farmer market. I was looking for black oyster mushrooms but ended up here. I brought some of their organic virgin oil and pig out chips. The environment and vibes was pleasant snd very clean and items are organized.I found everything i needed. It was perfect.Will shop again.

Kota Hunt: This is a great store! They have a lot of interesting products for all ages and all kinds of people. They have furniture, clothes, food selections, lots of in-home items and decor, including kitchen and bath sections. Prices do run fairly high, especially for furniture. If you're looking for something affordable you're definitely more limited in your options there than you would be at others stores. Products are worth the price though, they are good quality, interesting, and last a long time in my experience. I'm a big fan of the world market in general and as far as they go this is a good location, but can get VERY busy and is often understaffed in these times so lines can be really long, especially around the holidays.

mister donuto (Mr Malice): Nice staff all around A thousand little odds and ends Good prices on unique and comfy furniture. Real nice small pieces and ingredients for cooking too. Never had an altercation here. The beer selection isnt great but they have unique brews. I implore you to try their in-house lentil chips. I will commit all manner of positive acts of change to get ahold of a bag of those cracked pepper lentil chips. Never a mess or poor quality stuff. I've bought silverware cutlery, coffee mugs, coffee, Candy, two silver metal wrapped mango wood tables, a freaking day bed, and these tiny little bottles for spices. Just in the last year. If you go during the pandemic please west a mask Even if you don't want to, its encouraged. If you choose not to and dont want to make a fuss, the store will more than gladly do curbside pick ups for you. Fun big open store.

John Herbstritt: Visited GWU textile museum while attending graduation events and impressed with items on display. Crossing 8th to 20th century,, it's truly amazing some of them survived given the delicate material of wool, cotton, silk, etc. Large exhibition space was easy to navigate and covered it under an hour. Highly recommended if you have a break while on campus.

Hilda Kroll: The Textile Museum is currently open three days a week. Since the museum moved to this location there has been one fabulous exhibit after another. Just a couple of blocks from the Foggy Bottom metro and a short walk from the Renwick, this wonderful museum shouldn't be missed.

Alyssia Greene: The children really enjoyed themselves. They were able to learn about different ways of where cotton, silk, and wool came from and how there clothes are made. They were able to try on clothes from all over the world.

I enjoyed the beautiful Indian textiles on display in the lower levels, and got to talk with one of the museum staff about materials used in textiles that were outside of what we normally think about. Very small museum, can be seen in a couple hours, definitely worth it though!

Ethem Coskun: This is a great place to buy some unique home goods. Bit pricey but quality items. Staff is very kind and helpful. They also sell different kind of teas, coffee, and some other consumable goods.

Abi Maghamfar: You can find everything from food delicacies to cookies and sweets to coffee and tea, wine and beer to kitchenware to rugs and cushions to furniture and more. It's obvious they're affected by the supply chain challenges due to the pandemic as they're thin on some supplies. The beer and wine selection has definitely shrunk quite bit!

Rachel Castillo: I’ve been a DMV resident my whole life and just recently came to visit this gem for the first time. I absolutely loved looking around this store, it was well stocked and organized. We specifically came to buy a couch that we had seen online and saw that it was in stock in the store (this has been our difficulty in finding a couch, most places say delivery is at least 3 months or not in stock). Getting help from staff (shout out to Sandra!) and purchasing the couch same day was so easy and pleasant. We purchased it, they held it for us until we brought our truck to the store, and we seamlessly picked up the couch at the back of the store. This store will definitely be a go-to whenever I’m in the Rockville area.

Andrey Pichugin: A nice variety of stuff, especially stuff that you won't find in other domestic stores. Only problem is that it can get really expensive.

Lev Mirov: I expected more furniture displays like found in other, larger stores. Fully accessible entrance and elevator up to the store floor room. This location sells a variety of gluten free foods and kitchenware from around the world, as well as international beers and wines and teas. A fun afternoon.

Chef Sanji: Best way for me to describe it is a fantastic knick knack gift shop for friends who want to try authentic foreign food. As a Chinese guy, I was very surprised seeing authentic candy and foods that most American markets get it offbrand and wrong.

Charlie Stitt: Lots of fun gifts and things to buy. Exotic and beautiful goodies from different parts of the world. Great food department. Even a cool kids section. The staff is usually very friendly. The check out line moves a little slow, so be prepared to wait. A must stop place for the holidays for food, gifts and decorations. The most beautiful Christmas ornaments I've ever seen.

Kelly Mahoney: I’m a huge fan of this chain of stores. This location is clean and nice, but a bit sparser than many other locations. The back end (food and drink items) is well stocked but the front end could use some more items. Overall pretty decent.

There are times where the customer service is phenomenal! But despite the usually lackluster customer service, the products are too good for me to stop coming here. If you have visiting family/friends who have never been to a World Market, you have to take them here to look around.

Vanessa Graziano: Supply chain issues are deeply impacting this store and that is sad. They used to offer a vast range of unique finds in foods and beverages. That has fallen by at least 40% of what they used to offer. That being said...there are still fun finds, but they will be hit and miss, and if whatever you find REALLY excites you...you may want to buy 2...chances are it won't be there on your next visit and/or it may be discontinued. They have a heavy focus on home furnishings but they are priced at premium price points. Sign up for their FREE member program as it does offer discounts from time to time that can help soften those furnishing desires. They carry some beautiful and unique cards that really make giving a gift something special. The foods are varied and unique. If you have a hard to please gift recipient or someone that has a fun and adventurous palate...take some time to explore the offerings.

DaFran M. Ware: I Love World Market. They have some of the best snacks and candy from all over the world. Thats what I go for. I bought teas from all over the world for a tea party I had for my birthday party. They were a great hit.

Choko Kot: I bought a pair or window curtains to find out they were short. I took them back to the store to exchange them for a different pair. After a long wait for a manager, I was told that absent the receipt, NOTHING was there they could do for me. Not only did they loose a purchase of over $150 I was going to make, but a customer for life. I asked the manager what I could do with them or should I trash them and he said go right ahead. I put them in the trash bin right under the cash register and said “thank you” to which he replied “oh you’re welcome”. No other store bluntly rebukes customers in this manner.

The Bladers: We have a basement that leads right into our garage. It was grey cinderblock with a hanging lightbulb and we decided to finish it. Little frogs can pop right in the door so we didn’t want upholstered furniture thinking nature may visit and get in the furniture. We got rattan and bamboo from World Market so it can be cleaned and dusted. Prices were so reasonable and customer service even put it in my car. I drive pretty far to get to the store but it was so worth it! Instant success and I will definitely go there again!

Ashley Greene: Returned an item today and the cashier told me I won’t get my tax back because it all goes to the government. I told her I should get all of my money back on return, she called another associate for help. This associate walked the other through the return process and my refund was still short. I was told that depending on where I live the tax returned to me would be different.

Today in the afternoon, we went with my fiancé to this store to purchase the paint and tools for our new house. We were excited as this is our first home and first time painting. There was only one very rude lady in the store who was annoyed with our questions and kept pressuring us as she kept saying that she needed to close the store (half an hour before closing). We didn’t end up buying anything and decided to make our purchase somewhere else. If you’re planning on buying from this store don’t expect to get help or guidance.

Gontran Archer: The staff was extremely courteous and professional. I picked up a gallon at a store 1 hour away which was mixed wrong. I found them just a mile from my job site so they allowed me to bring the paint to their store and provided me with a freshly mixed gallon in the right color! Kris Juncker: Sherwin Williams recycles paint cans. This is a great service. We use SW paints for my workplace, and I switched to SW for home because of the quality. However, contractors get a price discount so definitely work with your builder if you are getting the walls painted.

Zlatica Hoke: Zero stars. Of all the area paint stores, this one is the worst and the most expensive, the service the slowest, the selection of merchandise poorest. I get a faster service at ACE or Monarch with 10 people in the store than in this SW store with one or two shoppers in the store. The staff does not show interest in your needs. I asked about the quality of the masking tape (they are not all the same) and the seller said he did not understand the question. When I tried to be more specific and wanted to know if the tape was smooth like vinyl or more like crepe paper, he said he still did not understand. The shop caters only goods wanted by contractors albeit its location in a residential street where many people have small projects and do not need huge quantities. The only reason I ever go there is because it is a block from where I live, but every time I go I get distressed. It is worth driving further to get decent service and decent and reasonably priced merchandise.

Pauly Kerins: I’ll tell you what, the customer service in this store is TOP NOTCH!! My 1st visit I was a bit lost but Jay the manager walked me through what I needed for the size of the room I was painting. All I had to do was pick out the color, my man even gave me some pointers on how to prep properly. Legit!! My 2nd visit was even smoother. Jack one of the other managers recognized me and was able to look up my color that chose last time and got me out the door in less than 5 min. TOP NOTCH!! Here’s the kicker last visit they gave me a voucher for the food truck that they had parked outback!! Whaaaat!! Taco Taco Thanks Guys, That’s What Customer Service Is All About.

Gregory Pitman: Choose another Sherwin-Williams location. I tried ordering samples online (covd-19) but one of the colors I wanted says it can't be made even though it's a Sherwin-Williams color. At that point I called the store to ask if it could be done as a "Custom Color" order since that is an option on the website. The answer I kept getting was "If it's a designer color I can't make it" which I understand but he kept repeating this instead of answering my question and I'm still not sure if the color is a "designer color" or not as he kept repeating the same answer with no further discussion. At no time did the person ask "What is the color so we can double check if that's the issue" or "what is the color?" he just kept repeating the same thing "Designer colors can't be made into a sample". I still don't know if the color I wanted was a designer color or not. I went to another Sherwin-Williams where they were told me "it's an online glitch and we can certainly help you."

Cassandra Hall: Went in today to begin a major repaint indoor and out. Two employees behind counter both looking down at their cell phones. Several customers in the store when we came in. Went to counter to ask for assistance. The female rep looked up and asked if we were ready to check out. We had just entered but again, both reps were staring at their phones and didn't realize we were just entering. I told the female rep we needed assistance and she looked at the male employee, he shook his head, she sat back down and they both continued to look at their phones. They said nothing, refused to assist. We took a few paint chips went to Home Depot and received excellent service. Entire time in Sherwin Williams, 20 minutes, not one time was any assistance given. Home Depot, 200.00 paint purchase from very helpful. I thought we would getting better assistance from our small neighborhood specialty store. I was very wrong. If you want to be completely ignored after requesting assistance this store will not disappoint.

Scott Starkman: I wanted to write to say how very grateful I am to have found Javaid and his rug store, Carpet Culture. I was moving from my apartment and had a Persian rug that had belonged to my parents many years ago, and which I, myself, hadn't properly cleaned or maintained. The rug also had a dog urine stain that had been there for many years and which it was believed to have become a "fixture" of the rug. In addition, the fringes were in not so good condition. Carpet culture picked up the Persian rug (and, in addition, two smaller rugs). Upon a detailed inspection, Javaid, the owner, called me to explain all the work that he recommended be done. Since I hadn't properly cleaned or maintained the rug for so long, it needed additional and more time involved work just to preserve the integrity of the rug and return it as much as possible to its original state. As part of the cleaning process, Javaid explained that the rug needed to be soaked several times just to get out as much of the dirt and dust as possible that had accumulated within the fibers over many years. And, Carpet Culture was actually able to remove the urine stain that had been there for so many years and which some other carpet cleaning companies had said could not be removed. Carpet Culture also repaired and restored the fringes, which was necessary both for appearance as well as integrity of the rug. Javaid explained that some of the processes used to clean, repair, and restore the rug were processes traditionally used by rug craftsmen for many years. I believe this is largely the reason Carpet Culture was able to achieve the expert results that it did. Upon delivery of the rug, my mother and I were so delighted to see the rug after it had been given the loving and expert care that Javaid and Carpet Culture provided. They took time and care to lay down the rug (and padding). For me, it's a testament from me to both my parents that a rug that had belonged to them since when they first got married was (finally) being given the care that it so truly deserved. Carpet Culture's prices for each stage and portion of the work were fair and honest in every respect. Javaid would only do work on the rug that he felt was truly needed. My mother subsequently decided to have her silk rug cleaned after seeing the beautiful work done by Carpet Culture on the Persian rug, and the results were similarly wonderful. My sincere thanks to Javaid, and to Carpet Culture, for their honesty, professionalism, and friendliness, and for the very expert and caring work they did in cleaning and restoring a rug that had been in the family for many years.

Chris P: I totally wasted my time and money by buying Sherwin-Williams paint. Go to Home Depot or Lowe's to get the same quality at half the price. Contractors should use McCormick's instead.
