    Jason Steitler: As the 2020 protest settlement didn't include an apology for police conduct, the agency has yet to retrieve its honor from that day.

    Karl H: Okay these police "dudes" are tasked with crowd control at a tourist place. They do have to be ready for the worst case scenarios. They look like the gestapo in many cases. Some were okay, made eye contact and so forth. Others seemed a bit aloof. Had one officer who didn't like the way I parked, got angry when I asked for information on correcting the issue yelling at me "ROLL". Being a smart-ass I retorted back, "Excuse me, didn't you mean have a nice day". He got really irritated,got out his car, and tried to intimidate me by threatening to cite me. When I responded with "Dude, I'm just trying to figure out how to get out of here." he got really pissed. "In the first place, I'm not dude, I'm officer and went on with his attempt at intimidation. The conversation went further south so to say. Fortunately his supervisor was there, interceded and calmed things down. So this officer got all control freak in his behavior over ~a parking issue~. He wasn't concerned over anyone being harmed, drugs being transported, or anything remotely criminal in nature. He was to exhibit that he was in absolute control over *patrons* at a museum area over a parking issue. I found the situation to be simply ridiculous. To the officer I would suggest he try to remember a single day at work in which a patron didn't make some mistake that didn't conflict with some rule. Is it appropriate to treat any of them with indignation and anger. Or is there perhaps a better option for handling these situations that occur every single day of your career at the National Mall?

    Ann Best: I'm a Retired DC Police Officer and I know that these Police here have big issues with their positions. They don't have any respect for other Police officers n other jurisdiction. They need to learn how to talk to people. They need to learn How to Community Policing. They're pure Asswholes. Wait until one of them come to aid u and you'll see the true colors of these Asswholes. Black r worse than the White ones. There's a lot of them that can't come to certain locations in DC because they have been sued or the Judge has given them a stay away from certain places because of their Not knowing how to talk to people. 😇 Talk about what u have experienced, not just give them good ratings and u haven't seen them in action. God bless the people who have to be in their company. It's not gonna be a good experience. 👮🏾‍♀️👮🏾‍♂️👩🏿‍✈️👨🏾‍✈️👥👥

    alfredo ramirez: well there were a marathon on eastcapitol on sunday when i park my car there no sign but they still tod my car , i walk for 45 minutes looking for my car in till i found ofc john he was very polite and he took me in the police car i belive car #1112 he find my car for me thank u very much . I WAS MAD WHEN I SAW THE TICKETS BUT JUST THE THOUT THAT A OFFICER TOOK HIS TIME TO LOOK MY CAR I WAS NOT MAD ANY MORE..     Sam Odle: Love having these men and women in the neighborhood. As a local I’m nearby daily with my dog in the park across the street. I also come several times a year to get a parking permit for friends/family and everyone I talk to is always polite and helpful.

    Stephanie Fritsch: My review of the Capitol Police in Washington DC. Most of them are professional. I got called Sir three times when I was in the Senate Hart building. I'm a transgender woman and when I got arrested for civil disobedience the police were very professional. This is me holding my arrest paperwork after I got sprung after paying my fine. unfortunately the police have to follow orders from a mostly Republican Senate and House of Representatives. So all in all they did their job in a very professional way while they arrested me. I always retain the right of free speech and assembly which is guaranteed under the Constitution though. Saying that if I ever get arrested again by this professional police force I reserve the right to alter this review.. if they do not uphold the highest standards of police professionalism!

    mickey p: just what to say how one of your officers this past sat. was so helpfull to us . In given directions to 8th street it was about 11;30 in morning and he was a motorcycle officer. Told him we were looking for the d.c. dog kennel he even thank us for getting a rescue dog. I shook his hand and thank him for being so helpfull.

    Farruk Highlander: This dirty animal right here was doing 60 mph on 30 mph road on K st NW going to NE not a single police nor camera on the road, God forbid if any scooter or bike crossed his pass he would kill somebody. Please crack down on speeding on your streets.

    Elke Gordon: A Virginian, I visited the District to attend a rehearsal. Could not find my car afterwards! Officer Davis of District 2 located it with the most pleasant demeanor -- and without laughing at this female driver. It helped that the car was exactly where I had told him I might have parked it -- but he went out of his way to find it. He started by saying "so you lost your car? a Rolls Royce, I suppose?" Thank you Officer Davis. He gets 5 stars, the total experience there a 3-4.

    S Hays: Big THANKS to Officer Brown, who stepped in to help when he saw us searching for our puppy on MacArthur Blvd, near Battery Kemble Park. Our puppy, 10 months old, had run off - He stepped in, volunteered to help - and drove through the area - we both saw her run through traffic & into the park...He went up to find her, then my husband found her, got her back on a leash - and home...! Thank YOU Officer Brown!!

    Jason Creeden: The receptionist is very rude and unprofessional. It is unfortunate that such people are the main interaction point for the police department whose officers seem quite professional.

    Georgios Gounaris: A complete joke. Literally theft happening in their block and they tell you they won't get up to do anything. Sad, very sad...

    Juan Amaya: I was arrested today by one of your officers (unfortunately I forgot his name). for driving with a suspended license. his professionalism and respect was outstanding. He was doing his job and he did it well. he and the officers at the station were also very helpful. I was in the holding cell and I have High blood pressure which went up and I just had a stroke. I told one of the officer I was having chest pains and he immediately call the paramedics and he told me "your are safe here" which is how any human being should feel in a police station. just want to say "thank you" and I will fix my license so you wont have to arrest me again.     Jarhead: Thank you so much for the help last night. We are from North Carolina and stayed at the Morrison Clark hotel. Which we thought would be a cool experience because of the appreciation of historical buildings. Some one from the hotel staff entered our room while we were in the shower. So wrong on all the levels. 3 of the best officers in the department helped us and kindly escorted us to a recommended establishment. So cool of them to do that for us. Sorry I didn't get there names. Feeling very loved by your department. Keep up the good work. Definitely went above and beyond their duty.

    Maria Melendez: I attended the Women's March and want to thank the District of Columbia and their finest.... the police officers were amazing willing and ready to assist in anyway they could. Yesterday was not an easy job for them; as my understanding is they had no help from other law agencies as the day before and yesterday was a much bigger turnout. Kudos to them and your entire police force. I made sure I thanked them and let them know they are respected as I entered and left the city the protect.     Freya Grand: Officers responded to our call about a man curled up on our front porch and possibly unconscious. The lead officer handled the situation with tact and respect, ascertaining what was going on before he did anything dramatic. We were very impressed with the care and professionalism that the officers brought to the situation.

    Madison Caldwell: Before today, I would have told you that most criticism of police officers is bunk, and that they are largely good people in whom we can safely put our trust. Well, turns out some cops really are power-hungry bullies.

    Michael Schlenker: our car got a rear window smashed at 13th and Corcoran. I shouldn't have left so much out in the backseat, but anyway my backpack which contains much of my life was taken. I'm guessing an officer or a unit came by around the same time, because they somehow acquired my backpack and took it to the station, leaving a business card for the precinct under the windshield wipers. I've seen and heard of a lot of car break-ins in DC but I've never heard of property being retrieved like this, so I was very grateful to get my bag back. I did not get the opportunity to thank officer R.L. Werner who presumably brought the bag back to the station. Thanks.

    Ben S: I have stopped by this office multiple times over the 25 years I've lived in the neighborhood and they have been unfailingly courteous and helpful each and every time. If I've needed a temporary visitor parking pass or a no parking sign, I've always gotten it quick and easy, no fuss.

    ernestine glenn: I am a resident of New York and my brother lives in Washington, D.C. I received a call that he was picked up by ambulance at 3:00pm on Saturday, and would be taken to certain hospital. Called that hospital and he was not a patient. By 7:00pm I had contacted four hospitals and no listing of his name. This morning around 10:00am I called this police station and problem was solved. My elderly, blind brother has no cell phone and therefore contact was not available. A male police officer took my information and put me on hold; short while later a female officer assisted me and placed me on hold. I had provided her with information and she was able to discover the location of brother and the time he arrived at hospital. What a relief!! What excellent service!! Kudos to the Police Department. I am grateful!

Looked like a hunky farmer and would’ve sent me over the edge if he had aviators on. What are they feeding these officers up here? What ever it is it’s working. Within minutes he jacked my car and installed the new thingy quickly. I’ll save that visual for a later date. I hope nobody throws a box of nails in the same spot on Sunday on the way home. They were VERY patient, with a fast response time, and later called me to tell me the outcome! Was a good time to wait for my flight. My bosses cell phone was lost there between terminal B & C on Friday morning. I could see it on the iCloud (with find my phone) and she helped me secure it.     AJT: These officers are complete liars. Ruining peoples lives base on false accusations.

    Rick Samara: I had an excellent experience with District 7 this evening that I wanted to share. It all started with Mrs. Parker on dispatch. THE POBLEM: No one in my family or the people that care about her at work heard from my 27-year old daughter since last Thursday (5 days and highly unusual). Needless to say, there were a lot of people really worried about her safety. My daughter was not answering her phone calls or texts. I had solid reason to believe she was at an old boyfriend's home where he lives with his parents. Yeah, I could have driven to the house myself. But, if she wasn't answering my calls or texts why would she answer the door. For all I knew, he could have had her locked in the basement. And she currently had a battery charge against him. He could be violent with me. I didn't need that. It was time to seek help from the authorities. Mrs. Parker was extremely professional and empathetic to my needs. She recommended she dispatch a patrol car to do a "welfare check." ...just lay eyeballs on my daughter to let me know she was safe. Then she called to tell me that Officer Anise (Badge #2907) had accepted or taken her call. I was impressed. That's great customer service. She also asked if Officer Anise should call me. You bet! There may have been another officer and patrol car involved. Unfortunately, I don't know this officer's name or badge number. But, I do believe he or she was a valuable member of this overall team effort. I wanted to expressly thank District 7. I believe it was Officer Anise who told my daughter to call me. She did and I communicated my concerns to her. Bottom line, she's safe! And, she promised to come to our home tommorow to talk and explain her absence. But, I was most impressed with Mrs. Parker, her professionalism and attention to duty. She performed a yeoman effort bringing this all together to my overall satisfaction. If she were a subordinate under me in my military career, I would definitely recommend she deserves more responsibility and promote on next opportunity.

    sycaway96: This station is impossibly awful! It took them two weeks to complete an accident report. When I picked up the report, the accident date was wrong. When I brought it to their attention, they actually said that i could have my insurance company call them! I hope to never get in an accident again if they have to be involved!

    Kimberly Garcia: It took four weeks to get an accident report. Every week we went in they would say the officer would be back the next week.

    Ashlei: It's wonderful when you contact the local Dept and ask a question or ask them to tell you whowyou could call to ask and they give you a sarcastic response. I hope when you call and ask a question you are given a nicer response than the one you gave me.

    Trevor Diaz: Quick service for district 5, accessible bathrooms, some what dated interior (but that’s not what you’ve come for). At time of writing it does not show up on google maps when searching for “police.”

    franklin Howell: They use a mind game method were they bully you verbally and mentally repeatedly hoping that you snap on them, to make it seem like YOUR the crazy one. They tried that on me when I was Arguing with them about a Ticket. But instead of doing what they expected I'm just going to give them a Bad Review....Hope it makes difference.... Worst Cops Ever.....

    Jessica Kohls: At 1:34 PM today (April 7th, 2017) I made a call to the 5th District Police Department about something alarming I saw at the Costco. There was a woman screaming at and continually beating her toddler in the back of her car over a piece of trash left on the floorboard, while her younger child watched. I called DC Child Protective Services first, who in turn told me to call the local police department. NOTE: I do not know the woman who was beating her child. All I was able to write down was the license plate number on her car. I called the police department, and the gentleman (if you want to call him that) who picked up the phone was incredibly rude. I guess he thought I was wasting his time. "Did the child ask you for help?" Obviously he didn't, he was a small boy probably two or three years old. "We can't interfere with discipline... if you can't even verify his age there is really nothing I can do.." Well gee, officer, I DON'T KNOW THEM. How the heck am I supposed to know the exact age of said child? And I'm pretty sure hitting a small child in the face MULTIPLE TIMES is not just discipline. I am OKAY with child discipline, but what I saw was ABUSE. He wouldn't even take the license plate number, and clearly didn't care about what I was saying. I thought the whole point of being a police officer was to protect your community? I feel bad for the people living in this area, because it was very clear to me that this officer doesn't give a crap.

    Meredith Rintoul: The police recovered all of my possessions after a car burglary. I had no hopes of getting my things back but they worked diligently and kept me updated on my case. I cannot thank them enough!

    ❻ • B L V C K ❾ C V L T • ❻: Living in a groupe home 1212 girard street ne washington dc i would firstly like to state that i have been making music 2009 2 guys who are very problematic and has anger issues assulted me.. without any correct standards in the law at all.. asulted me my cell phone was broke in the process (i still have that cell phone and pictures of the cellphone witch is now broke my sd card witch had music on it sense 2009 - 2010 where on that sd card and sim card also went missing when this event happened) and was *NEVER RECOVERD* and i was also bleeding from my forarm and bruised up after this event..and i had video evidence of everything that occured on that day and none of them was placed in handcuffs... and before this i was hit multiple times with a mop by 1 of the same people..my hand bruised up... so i ended up bying some *pepper spray* just in case something happened again...AND it did...1 of the same guys assulted me AGAiN..while 1 of the employees was on duty.. he rushed me 3 times.. the last time he fell down the stairs he got back up and was still rushing me..so *with my SWOLLEN HAND* hand i took my *peper spray* out and sprayed him.. the employee that was on duty (named herb) let this entire event occure *and only proceded to stop the event after he got *peper sprayed* which he still did not break us up physically but the attacker with burning eyes just stopped... the employee proceded to yell and call the police only after me using the *peper spray* the police deliberatly saw the entire video..placed the guy in handcuffs this event happen to me on august the 29th.. the guy was literally let back in the group home in a matter of hours... These guys are worse than flesh eating bacteria

    DMV BALLER: the Police here act just as ghetto as the residents that live in this area.....there's one officer Jose Freeman they need to get rid of him ASAP he's a piece of garbage, he needs to learn some manners....Big difference between police in the hood vs not in the hood
