Embassy of Libya: what do users think?
Mohyedin Saadawi
Mohyedin Saadawi: I visited the embassy today in order to collect new passports of my son and grandson , the receptionist was a very nice lady who received me with the highest level of respect and professionalism she asked me about the reason of my visit , I told her about the reason and passed the receipt and the old passports and she asked me to take a seat while she went the check with the person in charge. . So far everything was normal, but a minute later surprisingly the door opened and another lady came with a tray that had coffee , a bottle of water and some biscuits on it . This was the real face of the Libyan hospitality . I here by would like to submit the highest gratitude , and I felt so honored and proud of being a Libyan after having this experience , two minutes later a very respectful gentleman came to me with the passports and asked me to check that the details are correct , shacked my hand and walked me to the door . What a professional way to serve the state of Libya and its citizens .
Asma Shaibob
Asma Shaibob: They always responds to my call and answer all my questions. They’re professional, efficient and fast with any needed documents. I want to thank the lady who answers the calls, she’s so nice and helpful.
AJ Ong
AJ Ong: They processed my tourist visa within a few hours of receiving my passport via USPS Express Mail. I applied when there was a brutal storm in the East Coast so I was pleasantly surprised that my passport came back enclosed in a ziplock bag.
Suhir Zabteyaa

gerard lyons
gerard lyons: Had a great dinner here with wounded warriors foundation. The building itself is beautiful and teh Ambassador was a great host. His parents were visiting to from UK and we sat with them at dinner, such a fun older couple!
christine savage
christine savage: Very un informal no help at all
Matt Warren
Matt Warren: No idea why so many of the reviews of this place are negative. I lost my passport and wallet whilst travelling the USA. Booked an appointment for an Emergency Passport online, followed the process and they even mailed me my Emergency Passport to a hotel I was staying at later on in my trip so that I could continue my plans. I had no issues using the Emergency Passport and the Embassy were even helpful and responsive to me when my scheduled flight out of Miami was cancelled (due to Hurricane Irma) and I had to get a flight out on a different date.
Julie Kuhl
Julie Kuhl: I have ONE simple question and what do I get? I get the worst British accent and a circle of nothing and I mean nothing. I need a working number for the Gov.UK. HM passport office. I got more information, better information from the United States immigration offices but I did not get a working phone number. What is the deal? Are they not here to help us? Seems to me that they, like the American government are off this week! I am so frustrate. If anyone has the correct phone number for the British Passport office please post it, post it anywhere, post it everywhere! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Embassy of Benin: what do users think?
Emmanuel Ngu
Emmanuel Ngu: Absolute disaster! Called in this morning after several unsuccessful attempts yesterday, with a question on how to obtain a visa to Benin. A lady finally came on. She was revolting to say the least. No clue in public relations, extremely rude, and does not even have the patience or time to listen to what I have to say. She hung up the phone on me three times before I could tell her that I was looking for a visa to Benin.

Embassy of Czechia: what do users think?
Mia Speight
Mia Speight: I went here for a model call and go see. The staff was very punctual and friendly. The interior was very clean and well maintained. It was also very thoughtful that they served refreshments. Lastly, the was a unique art exhibit on display.
Shan Zhu
Shan Zhu: Very friendly and helpful staff within nice environment. Went there on Friday for visa and sent it back on the next Monday. Surprised by their efficient work!
Robert Bisby
Robert Bisby: We were fortunate enough to get guidance and answers for our travel requirements from Martina in the Czech Embassy in Washington. I cannot say enough about her kind and gracious attitude. She was so helpful and so polite. Martina has that wonderful blend of professionalism and personal warmth and sincerity in her character. It was an absolute pleasure to deal with Martina. I highly recommend asking to speak to Martina when needing answers or guidance from the Czech Embassy in Washington.
S. Bek
S. Bek: Terrible customer service at visa section of the embassy! Very rude tone, reply and extremely disrespectful and impatient when I asked just a few questions regarding short term visa to visit Prague. On top of that, the lady I spoke to does not seem to understand my questions well and tried to make me look stupid as if I don’t understand what is going on. Especially, when she kept repeating “as i told you” when she seemed herself not to understand my questions clearly. Seems like she tries to make callers feel as if they are begging her to issue a short term visa. Is she an angry person or rude or impatient, or does not like at all when people call her to ask questions...I don’t know what think. As I called the first time, I believe it was the same person, she answered the call in Czech language and as I don’t speak Czech language, I politely asked her ‘can I speak in English or...’ when she snapped at me saying ‘or what???’ After talking to this lady, I am rethinking whether I should travel to Prague or not because if she is the person who issues visas at the embassy, I am not sure if I want to deal with her attitude and rudeness in person since I already find her to be extremely disrespectful on the phone. Very very unprofessional! Type of service I would never expect from the embassy! Hope it will be seriously considered by embassy employers and will address her attitude when she deals with people who call embassy just to ask few questions about a visa.
Trexy P
Trexy P: Went to get a last minute Schengen visa. Went there on a Friday at 8:30am, was done by 8:37am! I received my passport with my visa the next Wednesday. The people who work there are professional, they don’t do small talks or try to be friendly. They just want to get the job done and that’s it. I am perfectly fine with that because it makes the process faster. If you have inquiries, you are better off sending an email than calling. They are responsive in emails than calls. Overall, I was just glad that they processed my visa so fast!
Jeff Rogers
Jeff Rogers: We are still awaiting our long term visa to be issued, but appreciate their thoroughness and desire to make sure everything is correct. Their emails were clear and response time prompt. Hana has been very gracious and kind as we await our long-term visa.
Vlog Of Beans (BenzNipay)
Vlog Of Beans (BenzNipay): I got my passport back (with visa) after 3 days! I was surprised how fast they came back. The officer, Hana was very accommodating and professional and she helped me with the process. I am so excited to travel to Czech Republic and experience their culture!
Zhuohong Xie
Zhuohong Xie: 5-Star service! We applied for Schengen Visa on Tuesday and received the passport in the mail today. The street parking was easy to find. When we arrived, we were the only ones there and no need to wait. We two in and out in 15 min. The email communication was smooth and the staff responded timely and in a professional way. As a government agency, They are definitely on the top of the tier (did I tell you about Germany Embassy? Don’t go there!). Be sure to bring a USPS prepaid envelope so you don’t have to pick up in person.

Aiman Ibrahim
Aiman Ibrahim: I dealt with the Australian Embassy in Washington last week. I submitted three passport renewal applications for my three children. Indeed, the Passport Office team is very supportive and friendly. They explained to me in very candid manner the need to obtain the correct size and type of photos, the requirements of qualified Guarantor, etc. The team makes you feel home in Australia. Many thanks to all of them.
Iram Ashraf
Iram Ashraf: Worst experience I ever had in my life. The people here don’t even know how to talk with ladies. I came all the ways from Ohio to DC and the guy wo took pictures treated me as i’m his slave. He really need to learn manners first. I don’t know why Pakistan hire such people who don’t even know how to talk. And now even me he was also misbehaving with others. I saw an old lady and he was talking very rudely with her. I DON’T EVEN WANT TO GIVE ONE STAR

Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in the United States: what do users think?
Dr. G P
Dr. G P: Went here to renew my passport. The staff were so professional, kind and considerate. I felt very comfortable in seeing how they take care of elderly ones who sought assistance in their services. Felt proud of being a Filipino and at least felt at home to be in the Philippines even for a few moment.
Kristina. Lumapas
Kristina. Lumapas: I don’t know when they have transferred but the office is not at 1600, it’s at 1617, just across the former. Got there at 8:40 am and was 2nd in the line. The employees arrived at exactly 9 am and they opened and let us in. The process was fast and smooth as I was the first one for dual citizenship. The clerks were friendly and gave clear instructions. There were only 5 of them attending to us because of Omicron variant surge. Our oath taking was scheduled at 1:30 pm that same day but because they were waiting for us to be complete, it started 1 hour late. It was fast and all questions raised were answered. Overall it was a good experience, place was clean, masks were mandated and 6 feet apart was implemented. The only downside was scheduling, it took me 2 months to get a slot. So to everyone trying to get a dual citizenship schedule, try on the 15th day of the month, that’s when they’ll open slots.
Nixxiii S
Nixxiii S: This is my first time renewing my Phil passport in the US and I am VERY impressed. I live in Japan for years and their Phil Consulate there is extremely embarrassing. At first I was nervous because I thought it would be the same here in the US but I was wrong. The appointment system can be frustrating but after that, everything went smooth. Their very professional, humble and extremely accommodating to my SO. I really appreciate your consideration with my case and took me in even I failed to confirm my appointment. You have no idea how much you’ve helped me. Kudos to your team!! God bless y’all.
Marilyn Bradley
Marilyn Bradley: The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. She was able to answer all my questions and allowed me to photocopy my documents on site for no cost. Be sure to bring a pre-paid US priority mail envelope for each passport. There are only 2-3 parking spaces on the street in front embassy annex building where processing of passport occur. Plan on 2-3 hours to complete the passport transaction. We used the spot hero app to find parking for $13 nearby.
Sheila
Sheila: The services has improved, organized, and polite staff. My appointment for passport renewal was at 10am and I was done before 11am. I like how efficient they are now compared to coming in 2018 and spent the whole day.
Rian C
Rian C: We usually renew our passports at LA/NYC, but since this pandemic started we have been redirected to consulates in the southeast US. For renewals, you HAVE to set up an appointment online via QLess. I won’t repeat what others said, but it really is a terrible way to get your appointment. I had to check daily (for weeks) early in the morning to see if a slot opens up or becomes available. I guess the only good thing about this is that you won’t have to wait in line for too long outside under the sun. Not sure about commuting, but we were able to walk to it since it was only a few blocks away, parking may be an issue too so plan ahead. Make sure to have all requirements ready, have originals and photocopies (they have photocopiers on site too), cash for the renewal fee etc. Weird thing was there was a renewal form online that I printed and filled up, but they still asked me to fill up a form on site. You have to at least get there an hour early just to let them know that you’re there because you won’t be able to get in, you just wait under the tree’s shade (no chairs) until you hear your name being called out. After all that, it goes on smoothly, it isn’t really crowded inside, it’s cool & clean, folks were really nice and accommodating. Estimated processing time was 4-6 weeks, we got ours in a month.
Amado Punto
Amado Punto: Nag renew po Mrs ko at this embassy last March 2022 ng passport, smooth, easy and all staffs are Very professional.. all of them. Keep up the good work.Maybe not needed but I recommend having an ATM machine inside or accept payments with cards.
Monique Queen Bartonico
Monique Queen Bartonico: It was a very good experience for me. Ang receptionist (Paula), was super helpful and approachable. Mabilis po transaction if complete documents mo and organize ka. Tip po, be there 30 min before your appointment para mas mabilis. First-camp-first-serve basis sila! Make sure na complete na yung fi-fill upan nyo. They will not help you with your application form since they’re busy with their job, especially po sa mga Nanay, Tatay, Lola, and Lolo natin. Bring extra copies, just in case. And bring original copies too, don’t worry they will ship it back to you. I can give 5 Star Review, yet one thing I didn’t like is maraming questions just for renewing… and some cases are controversial and personal. Again, in general it was a great experience! Keep it up 👍🏻

Avik Dutta
Avik Dutta: Amazing architecture outside the embassy of Indonesia. You can visit the statue from the outside. Just park the car off street and watch this great statue of Devi Saraswati the goddess if Education and Music and art and craft according to the Hindu Mythology. It is very close to Indian embassy. A must visit place if you are in DC and have some after watching other important destinations. Highly recommended.
Rebecca Guo
Rebecca Guo: Had appointment at 11 and waited until 1. There was only one worker, and she only served one family (2 adults 4 kids) for the two hours we were waiting. I understand that 6 people take a long time, BUT, in the middle of the serving she walked around the Embassy twice leaving the family waiting. Then disappeared for 30 mins leaving the family waiting. When we asked her for an estimated wait time she rudely told us to shut up and stay in line. I wish she had a name tag so we can report her to the Embassy!
Kyle D
Kyle D: The inside of this embassy is absolutely stunning. The detail to attention, carvings, trim, moldings, paintings, just gorgeous! There is a beautiful wooden carved organ that seems to be well kept. Indonesian people are so friendly and welcoming! I have gone to Bali several times and it truly is an amazing experience. Photos as of May 2019

Lack of information and cooperation makes life here in the U.S even harsh! We need more organizations and more visits from our representatives! Costs of living skyrocketing! Danielle Dieguen
Danielle Dieguen: Can you give zero? I was travelling with my son and send our passports for visa. The few time I got someone on the phone, they told me they received and was processing it. I started the process earlier so that I had enough time not to worry like the last time. Little did I know. A month later, no passport, no visa. I adjourned the flight hoping I will get lucky. Two weeks later still no passport and no one to provide you with information. One person says. Oh it was sent, you track it, nothing. The other, ooh we have no information. Till today, I have not received neither the passport, nor the visa, nor my money back. The worse ever. What are they doing with people passport.

Anna Gerber: The most rude personnel that I have ever seen. They judged and made the situation stressful during the interview without any respect to my small kids around. They never pick up the phone to counsel an applicant. Visa requirements that are given on website are unfair. Pay for everything, prepare every single arrangement, but then they will refuse your case and don’t cary any responsibility and even do not pick up the phone to simply counsel. If something wrong with people’s documents, explain it nicely without judging and humiliating. Very disrespectful and unprofessional personnel. Do not want to even visit this country only because of this humiliating visit to this embassy. It makes sense about the country as well.
Romona Foster
Romona Foster: From a tourist perspective, very nice. I was there on a tour, for travel agents, to the Embassy of Malta.

Embassy of Brazil in Washington, D.C.: what do users think?
constance price
constance price: If you need consular services in the DC area, for visa etc, see: cgwashington.itamaraty.gov.br
Response: Correct, thank you.
Joe McSherry (Joe)
Joe McSherry (Joe): Worst expereince of my life. They obviously hate Americans and make it almost impossible to obtain a visa there. They make you buy plan tickets ahead of time before they will even except an application for the visa. Then they will make you wait 2-3 for an appointment in person for the visa. Then they will make you come there in person. Then they will make you wait in line only to tell you you paperwork is wrong. Rude people working there. Very disturbing attitudes.
MHZ Zoia
MHZ Zoia: Embassies take care of diplomatic matters, Consulates process documents (VISA, etc). Instead to call them, read the information on the website, do your homework, plan your trip in advance and, you will be able to solve your problems in time. Very often people get frustrated because forget to plan in advance.
Juliana Granado
Juliana Granado: Why can nobody answer the phone ever!?I’ve been calling every single week at various times - if everyone should be vaccinated by now, why it isn’t open until now?
Response: (Translated by Google) Dear Juliana, to contact the Consulate General in Washington, we recommend writing to cons.cgwashington@itamaraty.gov.br The Embassy does not offer consular services, and the Consulate General is a separate and independent mission.
Thayse Lima
Thayse Lima: People, this is the address of the EMBASSY , which takes care of international affairs with foreign government bodies, not the CONSULATE,which takes care of visas, documents and such. About wait and difficulty with visas: usually these rules are bilateral. Go ask a Brazilian how they are treated when applying for visas in US consulates in Brazil. Ask how far they have to travel to even apply for it.
Response: (Translated by Google) Thank you, Thayse. (Original) Thank you, Thayse.
roland matthews
roland matthews: Under renovations throughout buildings. Great in house restaurant and friendly staff.
FightsWithASword
FightsWithASword: If you are applying for a visa you must go to the Consulate General of Brazil located at: 1030 15th St NW Washington, DC 20005 Their hours are very limited, so make sure you get in early.
Shawn Allison
Shawn Allison: Terrible service. No one will answer calls as noted in several of these comments. Yes, I am sure most people have gone to the website and read the information and understand it, but sometimes you might need one point clarified.
Lara Picanco
Lara Picanco: The Embassy of Brazil has many events and does a great job promoting things of interest to the Brazilian community and others in D.C.!
