Caroline Maunakea-Hammonds
Caroline Maunakea-Hammonds: We stopped in after lunch for the Hamilton exhibit, we didnt even know this place was here. We stayed for the tour of the home, it was informative and delightful. This is honestly my new favorite museum in the District. Our docent, Dan, was engaging and a wealth of knowledge. Such an unexpected treat.
Daniel Draper
Daniel Draper: Nice free museum and toue located on embassy row. Great to check out while taking a walk through the beautiful neighborhood. Takes about an hour on the tour and you get to see the beautiful house.
Junxiao Shi
Junxiao Shi: Free museum offering one-hour tours of the historic house. I found this via geocaching last year. It is worth the time.

The Ven at Embassy Row, Washington, D.C., a Tribute Portfolio Hotel: what do users think?
Stacie
Stacie: Location was perfect! The staff was amazing! There is an art gallery in the basement! The rooms were nicely appointed. I enjoyed being able to walk around the area and seeing all of the different embassies. I will definitely stay here when I visit the DC area. They charge a nominal destination fee and I loved all of the amenities you are given to offset that. The bar service and offerings were great!
James Walston
James Walston: Absolutely would stay here again. Comfortable, well-appointed, valet parking on site, and in the perfect location at Dupont Circle. The staff was friendly and very accommodating, especially Eli and Lyle. They have a 24-hour gym and game room, too. Hopefully I can get back here in the summer and try the rooftop pool. Thank you for a great weekend!
Elaina Genthe
Elaina Genthe: I stayed for three nights during the Cherry Blossom Festival. Staff was great. The man at the front desk with the beard was especially kind and Jorge the bartender. At the restaurant/bar, I had a beautiful, delicious espresso martini, a salad and the Mac and cheese. It was all delicious! My only complaint is about the rooftop. I wasn’t made aware that it was open or closed, but a previous reviewer had pictures of it so I tried to go up one day but the door was locked. I wish staff would have mentioned the details upon checkin.
Britney Sutton
Britney Sutton: I had a crazy experience coming to DC we were supposed to stay at a completely different hotel but something happened with the third-party company and we were switch to this hotel. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by Eli who has made this experience extremely pleasant. The hotel is nice but we all know customer service can make or break your experience. Eli and the rest of other friendly service rep I greatly appreciate the experience. With the exception of the late night hotel rep that was kind a rude and parked my car in the wrong spot Mr. brown coat. 🤗
M B
M B: Stayed here with family for my birthday weekend. The ambiance of the hotel was beautiful, great place to get Instagram photos. Wonderful amenities - restaurant with TVs, fitness center, roof deck, game room and a mini art gallery. The rooms were comfortable and our views were gorgeous. The location is great too, right next to the Dupont circle metro. Frank R and his team did a great job of welcoming us. From the moment he arrived he helped us get our car valeted, luggage up to the room and even had a bottle of wine, chocolate and a handwritten note for us! Thank you Frank R and team, you made our stay so special!!
Ido Simyoni
Ido Simyoni: My new favorite hotel in Washington DC. The staff are super friendly, kind and caring. Each one of them gave us a warm welcoming feeling. They gave us friends bracelet (ven in danish means friend). They have valley parking, nice gym and also Amazon lockers inside the hotel). Jennifer was our favorite stuff member as she was the one to check us in and take care of us. Location was great. There’s a cvs and couple of coffee shops near by (check out Emissary). They’re also dog friendly and my best friend got a nice comfy bed too for our stay. Only one thing that bothered me is the hearing was probably one of the loudest I’ve heard.
WanderlustBeauty Dreams (WanderlustBeautyDreams)
WanderlustBeauty Dreams (WanderlustBeautyDreams): Loved my time at this property. The hotel is situated in an amazing location and loved how walkable the area is. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The king room with city views was spacious and perfect for my weekend stay in Washington DC, highly recommend booking a stay here!
Jr
Jr: I will never stay at this hotel ever again. Not only were the rooms small but I paid in advance for my stay. I was charged almost $1000 additional on my card with no explanation of what the fees were for. The hotel said that their merchant ended up releasing my funds however it has been a week now and there is still a hold on my funds that i cant access. The charge caused my account to have a negative balance. I had planned a vacation trip to DC and this caused a major inconvenience causing me not to have any funds to use which ruined my vacation trip. I would not recommend this hotel.

Embassy of Indonesia: what do users think?
Avik Dutta
Avik Dutta: Amazing architecture outside the embassy of Indonesia. You can visit the statue from the outside. Just park the car off street and watch this great statue of Devi Saraswati the goddess if Education and Music and art and craft according to the Hindu Mythology. It is very close to Indian embassy. A must visit place if you are in DC and have some after watching other important destinations. Highly recommended.
Rebecca Guo
Rebecca Guo: Had appointment at 11 and waited until 1. There was only one worker, and she only served one family (2 adults 4 kids) for the two hours we were waiting. I understand that 6 people take a long time, BUT, in the middle of the serving she walked around the Embassy twice leaving the family waiting. Then disappeared for 30 mins leaving the family waiting. When we asked her for an estimated wait time she rudely told us to shut up and stay in line. I wish she had a name tag so we can report her to the Embassy!
Kyle D
Kyle D: The inside of this embassy is absolutely stunning. The detail to attention, carvings, trim, moldings, paintings, just gorgeous! There is a beautiful wooden carved organ that seems to be well kept. Indonesian people are so friendly and welcoming! I have gone to Bali several times and it truly is an amazing experience. Photos as of May 2019

Canopy by Hilton Washington DC Embassy Row: what do users think?
Joel Pagett
Joel Pagett: The Canopy Washington was our base for exploring the city for 4 days. It’s very well located in the city and is walkable to most major attractions. It’s also close to a variety of bus stops and Metro stations so you can travel further afield. The check in process was quick, friendly and efficient, and we quickly made our way up to the bedroom. It was surprisingly big and spacious, as well as being very stylish. The Nespresso machine was a nice and appreciated after a long flight too. We did have breakfast in the restaurant in the mornings, and although nothing ground-breaking, it was tasty and fairly well priced for Washington. We were thinking about stopping in for a drink one evening but we thought the atmosphere in the bar was a bit flat and corporate, so maybe some improvements could be made there to make it more enticing for leisure stays. Overall the stay was fantastic, and would stay here again in a heartbeat if visiting the beautiful city of Washington!
Response: Thank you Joel. We appreciate your feedback on our hotel. It's great to hear that you enjoyed the proximity to local attractions as well as the small things like our coffee machines! The Bar and Lounge just changed back to management by the hotel and are looking forward to jazzing things up a little! We look forward to offering you a warm welcome back to the Canopy by Hilton Washington DC Embassy Row again soon.
Tiffany Aldridge
Tiffany Aldridge: My entire family loved this hotel. Extremely clean, warm and inviting. Room doors are set in alcoves, which reduces hall noise, so it was very quiet. Rooms are immaculate, have lots of storage and space to set your luggage. Beds are comfortable, and we loved the option of both a king and queen in the same room. The gift shop has locally made items you actually want to purchase. Staff is very friendly. Parking was available on the side street without the need for valet.
Tiffany Aldridge
Tiffany Aldridge: We enjoyed our stay very much - my entire family of four agreed it was a great hotel. Rooms and lobby are immaculate. Rooms have plenty of storage and space to spread out personal belongings. The option of both a king and queen in the same room is great for families with more or older kids. The gift shop has locally made gifts that you actually want to buy. All staff was friendly. Location is great - close to the white house, while quieter than I expected.
Andrew Harmon (Werd69)
Andrew Harmon (Werd69): Our stay here was fantastic. We did 2 nights and had a pleasurable time. The room was very clean and updated. We had no view but we got there early and instead of having us wait they gave us a room that was ready. We had breakfast there both days and it was great. The service was impeccable. The location was fantastic. Walking distance to restaurants. We took an uber to the Smithsonian museums which was not expensive. The hotel is not cheap but you get your monies worth and then some.
Amarilis Sostre
Amarilis Sostre: My family and I stayed at this location and it was absolutely wonderful. It was our first time in Washington and this hotel is placed at a great location. We were a few minutes walking distance from the White House, and Washington Monument. The staff was wonderful and made us feel very welcomed. I would definitely stay here again!
Response: Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We appreciate your feedback and will certainly pass on your comments to our team members. We look forward to offering you a warm welcome back to the Canopy by Hilton Washington DC Embassy Row again soon.
Welt Reisender
Welt Reisender: Had a fabulous stay and have nothing but good things to say. The hotel is very beautiful and spacious. The location is perfect and is walking distance from all the hotspots in dc. All the staff was so friendly and welcomed me with warm smiles. Anything I needed was taken care of and the restaurant was so convenient and has outstanding food. Would definitely stay here again. Recommend the chicken tenders.
Philip Blaylock
Philip Blaylock: First, hotel appears to be quite new, very modern and updated in a very upscale area of DC. Room layout is wonderful with a large sliding door which divides the bedroom from the bathroom, where the shower and toilet have another door. Super comfortable beds, sheets and pillow, the only reason i gave 3 stars is due to the road noise and the amount of light that comes in from the top of the blackout curtains. If you can get a room that is not facing 16th St, 5 star all the way. If not, then bring your loudest sound machine.
Response: Hi Philip Blaylock - We greatly appreciate your positive comments about our amenities and accommodations, but we're sorry that we fell short in providing a comfortable experience. Thank you for taking the time to leave this invaluable feedback and rest assured that these comments have been shared to foster improvements. Guest satisfaction is always our priority. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for an improved stay.

Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in the United States: what do users think?
Dr. G P
Dr. G P: Went here to renew my passport. The staff were so professional, kind and considerate. I felt very comfortable in seeing how they take care of elderly ones who sought assistance in their services. Felt proud of being a Filipino and at least felt at home to be in the Philippines even for a few moment.
Kristina. Lumapas
Kristina. Lumapas: I don’t know when they have transferred but the office is not at 1600, it’s at 1617, just across the former. Got there at 8:40 am and was 2nd in the line. The employees arrived at exactly 9 am and they opened and let us in. The process was fast and smooth as I was the first one for dual citizenship. The clerks were friendly and gave clear instructions. There were only 5 of them attending to us because of Omicron variant surge. Our oath taking was scheduled at 1:30 pm that same day but because they were waiting for us to be complete, it started 1 hour late. It was fast and all questions raised were answered. Overall it was a good experience, place was clean, masks were mandated and 6 feet apart was implemented. The only downside was scheduling, it took me 2 months to get a slot. So to everyone trying to get a dual citizenship schedule, try on the 15th day of the month, that’s when they’ll open slots.
Nixxiii S
Nixxiii S: This is my first time renewing my Phil passport in the US and I am VERY impressed. I live in Japan for years and their Phil Consulate there is extremely embarrassing. At first I was nervous because I thought it would be the same here in the US but I was wrong. The appointment system can be frustrating but after that, everything went smooth. Their very professional, humble and extremely accommodating to my SO. I really appreciate your consideration with my case and took me in even I failed to confirm my appointment. You have no idea how much you’ve helped me. Kudos to your team!! God bless y’all.
Marilyn Bradley
Marilyn Bradley: The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. She was able to answer all my questions and allowed me to photocopy my documents on site for no cost. Be sure to bring a pre-paid US priority mail envelope for each passport. There are only 2-3 parking spaces on the street in front embassy annex building where processing of passport occur. Plan on 2-3 hours to complete the passport transaction. We used the spot hero app to find parking for $13 nearby.
Sheila
Sheila: The services has improved, organized, and polite staff. My appointment for passport renewal was at 10am and I was done before 11am. I like how efficient they are now compared to coming in 2018 and spent the whole day.
Rian C
Rian C: We usually renew our passports at LA/NYC, but since this pandemic started we have been redirected to consulates in the southeast US. For renewals, you HAVE to set up an appointment online via QLess. I won’t repeat what others said, but it really is a terrible way to get your appointment. I had to check daily (for weeks) early in the morning to see if a slot opens up or becomes available. I guess the only good thing about this is that you won’t have to wait in line for too long outside under the sun. Not sure about commuting, but we were able to walk to it since it was only a few blocks away, parking may be an issue too so plan ahead. Make sure to have all requirements ready, have originals and photocopies (they have photocopiers on site too), cash for the renewal fee etc. Weird thing was there was a renewal form online that I printed and filled up, but they still asked me to fill up a form on site. You have to at least get there an hour early just to let them know that you’re there because you won’t be able to get in, you just wait under the tree’s shade (no chairs) until you hear your name being called out. After all that, it goes on smoothly, it isn’t really crowded inside, it’s cool & clean, folks were really nice and accommodating. Estimated processing time was 4-6 weeks, we got ours in a month.
Amado Punto
Amado Punto: Nag renew po Mrs ko at this embassy last March 2022 ng passport, smooth, easy and all staffs are Very professional.. all of them. Keep up the good work.Maybe not needed but I recommend having an ATM machine inside or accept payments with cards.
Monique Queen Bartonico
Monique Queen Bartonico: It was a very good experience for me. Ang receptionist (Paula), was super helpful and approachable. Mabilis po transaction if complete documents mo and organize ka. Tip po, be there 30 min before your appointment para mas mabilis. First-camp-first-serve basis sila! Make sure na complete na yung fi-fill upan nyo. They will not help you with your application form since they’re busy with their job, especially po sa mga Nanay, Tatay, Lola, and Lolo natin. Bring extra copies, just in case. And bring original copies too, don’t worry they will ship it back to you. I can give 5 Star Review, yet one thing I didn’t like is maraming questions just for renewing… and some cases are controversial and personal. Again, in general it was a great experience! Keep it up 👍🏻

I like carrying nuts with me all the time and when I visited this park I run out of it. They love to ask more nuts and dig hole and hide it 😅

DC Design Tours: what do users think?
Kristin Roberts
Kristin Roberts: I took a Cleveland Park Cherry Blossom Neighborhood Tour a couple of days ago and loved it! I learned so much about the National Cathedral grounds and the Cleveland Park neighborhood, even though I lived in the District for over 10 years. There were also great connections to other areas of DC on the tour that really shows the “small town” nature of DC. On top of that, Carolyn, our guide, was friendly and welcoming making sure to engage everyone in our group in conversation and asking all of our questions! I wish I had had time to take more of their tours while I was visiting, but will definitely sign up for another next time I’m in town!
Response: Thanks Kristin! It was a pleasure meeting you!
aphrodite fletcher
aphrodite fletcher: Beautiful walking tour of the cherry blossoms. Unfortunately we weren’t able to the splendor due to the bad weather a few days prior to the the tour. Our guide was very informative!
Response: Thanks for joining us, Aphrodite!
ANNE Goshen

Cheri Wyse
Cheri Wyse: This tour is a must! Carolyn was warm and knowledgeable. The time flew by as we immersed ourselves in the history she was sharing.
Response: Thanks so much Cheri! It was a pleasure meeting you and Randy. Thanks for sticking it out in the cold with me! :)
Jill Smith
Jill Smith: My husband and I are relatively new DC locals and thought a tour would be an excellent way to learn more about our new community and we were not disappointed. We had an amazing time with Sam yesterday, as our guide on the White House & Penn Ave Architecture Tour. He was informative, engaging and great fun to spend time with. An architecture tour with the rich historical context is an interesting and illuminating way to learn about DC in that it was a designed city. I will appreciate the buildings and the area in a new way and have fun stories to share with friends. Having previously enjoyed an exceptional tour with Carolyn (Dupont Circle and Embassy Row), I would enthusiastically recommend DC Design Tours to architecture and history buffs alike.
Response: We really appreciate your review, Jill! Thank you for being a repeat customer, and taking the time to post about our tours!
Stephen Mannino
Stephen Mannino: Our family thoroughly enjoyed a DC Design Tours walking tour of historic Georgetown with our private tour guide, Sam. Sam was informative, witty, and extremely engaging over the course of our 2-hr tour. We have two teens, including one who is not easily entertained or amused and he was capable of captivating that kid for the duration. We highly recommend DC Design Tours, especially Sam!
Response: Thank you Stephen! We really appreciate your review!
Josh Torres
Josh Torres: The tour was amazing. Carolyn was nice and knowledgeable. She was sincere about the good and bad of DC, very descriptive and had great suggestions. Took time to hear our story and made personalized suggestions on other tours we should take with them. We definitely will be back to take more tours with Carolyn.
Response: Thanks very much, Josh! Hope to see you again! :)
Meghan Cocci
Meghan Cocci: We took the evening walking tour of monuments and memorials with DC Design Tours. Carolyn was a pleasure to work with - quick to respond to inquiries and very easy to book. Sam, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and charismatic. He kept our group of 9 (that included 5 kids) engaged throughout the tour with interesting anecdotes and stories along the way. Definitely would book again!

Embassy of Portugal: what do users think?
Isabel Maria Vivas
Isabel Maria Vivas: EDIT: Today (April 1st, 2022), I went to the Embassy to do my passport and had a good experience. The team took the time to answer my questions and even did my cartao de cidadao. The experience that I had F2F and by email is totally different. I understand now that only 2 or 3 people are taking care of all the emails for the entire East coast. They try to do their best and make sure to provide the most accurate information!! Previous Comment: Worst experience ever. People working there will blame you. 0 customer service. Conflicting information provided and incomplete. This place is a joke!!! I have been trying to register my marriage at the consulate. So I can renew my passport. I called and sent an email. I would like to mention that my husband was born in Cuba and any paperwork takes months and money. The US Has restrictions so I can send or receive anything from Cuba. It took me 7 months to get those documents from Cuba. As you can imagine, I asked many questions before starting the process: what documents, how much, should it be translated, etc. Anyway, I followed the instructions and sent the paperwork back to the embassy to process it. Once they received the documents later, they sent me an email saying that 2 things are missing in the package: apostille and auto declaration. They never told me In the first place that I had to apostille the birth certificate of my husband by the Portuguese embassy. They never sent me the document to change my name even if I asked many questions about that. I tried to explain that I have not been informed of this detail and tried to find a solution. The reply I got: you should’ve had asked! I was so surprised by that answer. This is the worst customer service ever. The instructions are not provided - clearly and detailed enough. The people working there, answer half of your questions and are not clear. At all. They blame you.
Steven A
Steven A: We understand why this is one of the highest rated embassies in Washington. My wife and I were visiting on the Friday before the world embassy open houses on May 4. The doors were locked and we struck up a conversation with Carlos G., a man standing nearby. He explained that the European Embassies celebrate May 9 and their open house is on May 11. He suggested we arrive early because last year they had over 3000 visitors and they only let 30 in at a time. Unfortunately we would not be in town the next weekend. He graciously invited us in, showed us pictures of his favorite places in the Azores, and was passionate about his country and heritage. We understand why he was selected for the diplomatic Corp and he did his country proud! Thank you. We look forward to visiting Portugal.
Tina Metzger
Tina Metzger: Does anyone work here at all???????? Clean your VOICE MAIL boxes if you are not bothering to pick up the phones.
Francis Fil
Francis Fil: At the Embassy of Portugal in Washington DC, you have a team of dedicated people to help you sort out any issue you may have. Keep on with the Good work, team!
Pena Branca
Pena Branca: I visited the consulate to pick up my ID card. They limited the NR of people indoors to a max 2. There were plexiglass screens to protect the employees and hand sanitizer was available. I had to wait about 40 mins outside, but once it was my turn it took less than 2 minutes. Felt safe and efficient.
William Harris
William Harris: Incredibly rude. Incredibly unhelpful. Do not waste your time calling.
Sonia Costa
Sonia Costa: Does anyone know if people actually work here? Any time I call, I cannot get through to a single person! ALL voicemail boxes are full and I mean ALL of them. You can’t even leave a message for anyone. The visa and passport number they provide calls absolutely NO ONE. This truly is ridiculous.
Mariella Solis
Mariella Solis: Called a couple weeks ago and left a message about some questions I had on a voicemail with my callback number but never received a call. Not to mention that the person who transfers the call, a man, huffed and puffed because I dialed 2x in a row. Definitely not feeling like calling again but have to to get some answers. The best thing to do is send an email. That was the only way I got any answers. It didn’t say I could inquire about what I did inquire about in the email section but it was the only way I got through to someone.

Larz Anderson House: what do users think?
Kaitlyn Cole
Kaitlyn Cole: Walking into the Anderson House will take your breath away. This building exudes an unparalleled feeling of opulence and historic charm. Surrounded by the grand chandeliers, marble staircase, monumental ornate frames and reflecting pool, you will feel like royalty everywhere you turn. Every corner of this exquisite wedding venue makes for a perfect photo background.
rachel robertello
rachel robertello: Super interesting museum that works as an AMAZING wedding venue. The team is very responsive and works smoothly with all vendors to make the day run perfectly. We are so glad we found the Anderson House as an option for our wedding and that they were available.
Trevor Joyce
Trevor Joyce: The Anderson House museum is one of my favorite museums in D.C. It is quiet yet packed with so many beautiful architectural details. It consists mostly of several large rooms but the entire left wing of the building is for private use and is thus not open to public visitors. The guided tours are time efficient and professional but I find it best to visit when they host events and musical performances.
Olga Crawford
Olga Crawford: The tour of the house is superb. The house looks like the Breakers.
Daniel Sweeney
Daniel Sweeney: Beautiful Washington DC Historic site. Very unique and pretty rooms. Outdoor space is great for events. Wedding here was great, and they hosted well.

Nicholas Biniaz-Harris
Nicholas Biniaz-Harris: Closed for four consecutive days for holiday (which is fine). Finally reach out after 4 days and the person on the phone is extremely rude and hangs up on me. Terrible way to treat people who want to visit your country!
Chris & Hannah Armstrong
Chris & Hannah Armstrong: Outstanding experience! Consular staff provided a prompt response to my inquiry and processed our visas in less than 24 hours. Rahmat!

Phillip R
Phillip R: The service here has improved significantly. I have received an excellent service today. I had to call consular section several times to ask questions and a polite personnel was patient every time answering my questions. I emailed my inquiry and received their response in 2 hours on Friday, on the day when they are closed. Great job. If you are on hold, for some reason, then they are helping someone, be patient and polite.
Liana Gabdurakhmanova
Liana Gabdurakhmanova: I have emailed the Cosul and got a reply message with a phone number to call. It took several attempts to reach to someone on a phone. The Consul sounded respectful and answered all my questions what i am very thankful for. And those who say the phone number does not work, just keep trying to call The Embassy through the day.
Umid US
Umid US: Amazing service. Always answer the phone and all questions. No appointment needed. Just make sure they are open the day you want to go. Made everything same day. Very helpful and informative. And people they have enough information on website to prepare everything for your visit. Make sure you have everything on you before visit to the embassy. Like that you will avoid unnecessary delays. Good luck.

Embassy of Colombia: what do users think?
Lomita Sheppard
Lomita Sheppard: I have called five times no one answered and no way to leave messages. Wth
Laura Munoz
Laura Munoz: I have been trying to get a hold of someone for months and the Embassy does not answer their phones, or entails, or chats online. This is the closet Embassy to my home for me to renew my passport and I try to schedule appointments online and the website does not work well. This is the worst service.
juliana ruiz
juliana ruiz: I have called to Many times NO ONE ANSWERED
JW Webb
JW Webb: I don’t think there phone works. They do not answer.
Kimberly B
Kimberly B: If there was an option for zero stars, I would. First, email should NOT be the only way to get ahold and ask questions. 2. Answering emails in an quick and efficient manner, would be appreciated if indeed you do NOT have a working phone number. 3. The website doesn’t have the information readily available for users. I had to go twice, to obtain information and each time it was an ordeal to complete 2 simple processes such as a Cédula replacement and registering my son for dual citizenship. 4. Immediately go in during my second visit which I had scheduled an appointment over a month prior, I was told that the system was down and they couldn’t help me. They had my information and no one could communicate and let me know so I didn’t drive down. Immediately with that, I requested to speak with the Head of the consulate, he told me their protocol and advised he would help me but first I needed to get my pictures retaken (which was an off shade of white 🙄. ) So gave him the benefit of the doubt and did it, to come back and have another issue as I was told originally the first visit, I needed my sons birth certificate translated and apostiled. No one told me the apostiled also needed to be translated. So in the consulate I was forced to find some on a whim to do that for me, as I’m not a certified translator. So word of advice ANY process you are planning to do , get the documents translated to Spanish and save yourself a headache. The staff aren’t helpful, they are sassy, I had one staff who was at the time helping me get my replacement cédula , she asked for my id number ( I never lived a long period in Colombia max 90 days, so memorizing the number would be silly) I look It up and provided it to her and I see her texting the main office in bogota the number but along with that making fun that I didn’t know my number 😡. That’s NOT what you do to provide good customer service. They need to educate in positive customer service. The only thing that made this experience somewhat ok was the fact their office closes at 2 pm and they did finish my paperwork at 2:30 and they didnt just tell me to come back the next day or something ridiculous like that.
Patricia Gordillo
Patricia Gordillo: They DO NOT TAKE CALLS. Their answering system is a hoax! The Zero is a way to close their doors on our face! Very RUDE and low support standards. Colombia Embassy has No knowledge, or interest in welcoming their citizens and others. It’s very insulting for everyone as a whole. Their service has the lowest quality and you will have a very hard time finding another embassy that is desciminatory as this one. Nasty!
Ricardo Schuttmann
Ricardo Schuttmann: I think it would be fair to rate this place with zero stars, but there´s no option for that. Being Colombian, it´s embarrassing the level of inefficiency that ALL Colombian consulates function at. Nothing works, the web site is full useless clutter full of bureaucratic language that few understand. The phone lines are never answered, and the choices from the numbered menu are few and they only direct you to another menu. This shows what a big mess Colombia still is. Sad.

Embassy of India: what do users think?
Shweta Bhardwaj
Shweta Bhardwaj: I have filed my mother’s Indian passport renewal from July 2021 and they haven’t returned the new passport. Because I filled green card application, the first interview got cancelled as we aren’t having her passport back from Indian embassy. If my mother wants to go back to India she can’t, she can’t even go for green card process. I am calling Indian embassy Washington D.C everyday, they aren’t responding back. I am checkin online tracking everyday, there is no updates. It’s shame that your own nationality’s people are suffering at old age in USA. It’s so shame that my parent is suffering because of embassy & I can’t hep. I really feel helpless. I wish I can give all negative reviews.
Glenn Pinto
Glenn Pinto: Last year when before my mom passed away I had to travel during the worst covid times and the Indian embassy came through for me by fast tracking my OCI renewal. My ticket was already booked and was trying to get an emergency vis, but they processed my OCI instead which was already in process 4 weeks prior. They even called to let me know they had mailed the OCI back. Truly appreciate their help at the time and most grateful for the compassion shown. I was able to spend time with my mom before she passed away.
gajera mayur
gajera mayur: You should not expect anything from this embassy getting your work done on time. we are calling them everyday on regular dedicated phone number and also to the emergency contact number to get answer immediately for emergency visa. Its been 15 days we have not receive any email, phone call or anything. It is taking more than 2 month for every step from getting Renunciation certificate or getting OCI. Nothing changes on status for weeks. VFS is clueless on what is needed or what i need to apply for. There is no guidance from either VFS or Embassy. This place is ready to screw your plan. You have to be very Lucky to get things from them.
Laveena Bachani
Laveena Bachani: I had great experience with the POA attestation through post. The document was sent back to me within the promised SLA of 10 days. There were some complications but thanks to Mr. Sojan Paul for taking care of it and giving prompt responses to the email queries.
Roshni Roy
Roshni Roy: My waiver application had some complication because of which I had to withdraw and again reinitiate the process. However Mr. Sojan Paul has been very prompt and helpful in his communication so far. Thank you!
Aman Kaur
Aman Kaur: Never pick up the phone. Have been calling fir 2 weeks. Never returned my OCI card. Getting a lawyer
bodhi samanta
bodhi samanta: I wish i could give them negative stars. They have absolutely no idea about customer service. Its been 2 months and iv nothing from them regarding my passport renewal. Indian embassy should be ashamed . Lethargic and stupid as always
Chetan Reddy
Chetan Reddy: Wanted to inquire regarding my visa for traveling to India and the covid visa restrictions. No one picked up the phone when I called atleast 15 times on different days different times. I also dis not get a reply to my email. Typical customer service experience from an Indian government office . What else can you expect from laid back people who work in these government offices.
Ronni Arora
Ronni Arora: We try to renew passport last six months but we still completely paperwork every time we we got passport now they ask more papers

Embassy of Ireland: what do users think?
Rachel Max
Rachel Max: A bit disappointed with advice on how to ship ashes back to Ireland. I called and was told to email. The email back contained "advice" for an Irish person who died abroad and not applicable to my situation of sending cremated remains of an Irish ex-pat for a memorial service in Dublin. I emailed again and it took a long time to hear back. In the end, I was told cremated remains cannot be mailed and must be taken as carry-on on an airline that allows it. This aligns with what I was told at the post office.
Nnamdi Azikiwe
Nnamdi Azikiwe: In front of the Embassy of Ireland is one of the smallest memorials in Washington DC. It marks the spot where the vehicle driven by Orlando Letellier came to rest after the bomb which took his life and that of one of his passengers. This happened in the 1970s. At that time I was under the impression Washington DC was one of the safest cities in the world. That was due to having been taught in school about the forts built surrounding the city during the civil war. Afterwards I saw things differently.
amanda williams
amanda williams: The Irish Embassy front of house staff were discourteous and lacked consular knowledge. When asked basic consular information the questions asked could not be answered. It was evident local staff were not provided training in customer service, and lacked the educational background to be effective. Excuses were given, when in fact knowledge was lacking. Phones and emails were not answered prior to coming to the embassy in person. I, as an Irish citizen was embarrassed to bring my American wife to the Embassy for my passport renewal, our sons passport and questions concerning residency due to the curt nature of the interaction with front of house staff. In summary, the lady encountered was not a good advertisement for Ireland. An embassies function oversees is to look after the interests of Irish citizens abroad. Amanda Williams (Consul General) Department of State Conor Parke Grier (Nuclear Medicine)
Z. X.
Z. X.: Ireland visa application is the worst among all European countries I have visited (French schengen is the best). Embassy will not give you any update about the status. There is a number to call, which costs $30+ for a single conversation, without giving you any useful information. The call is $3/min, and yes, the representative tried hard to prolong the conversation to make more money.
Joy Boudro
Joy Boudro: Louise was very helpful with information for touring Ireland and is sending me lots of tourism information. She was very friendly, as I have always found the Irish people to be and I would have no qualms calling her again.
James McLaren
James McLaren: Was a bit of an idiot and lost my passport. The staff were kind and sorted me out immediately. Dont know what the Americans are on about the phone. It works fine and I was answered immediately. Probably just them being stupid.
Neil O'Flaherty
Neil O'Flaherty: Trying to call today but only get a recorded message with no option to speak to anyone. What would happen if my call related to an emergency?Disappointing, very disappointing.
Paul Savage
Paul Savage: So far, so good. I misdialed earlier but when I got the correct number, the call was answered immediately and I left a message for the embassy representative to ring me back.
Marty Katz
Marty Katz: This embassy has nicer and better events than others. Parking gets legal at 6:30 PM, so get there at 6:25.

The Rooftop at The Ven at Embassy Row: what do users think?
farida popal
farida popal: I was there on Saturday the 25th. We wanted to go to the rooftop bar. As soon we were at main entrance, the door man greeted us and guide us. When we went to the bar the atmosphere was nice. The drinks were a bet pricey and bar food was great! I’ll defiantly go again.
chrisy edme
chrisy edme: The stay was wonderful! The staff at the front desk are amazing ! Specially Lyle at the front desk, he was just a sweetheart to us. We booked our stay prior to them implementing the daily amenity fee. He waived it off of our stay and informed us that he will be more than happy to still provide the perks ! We received some sent sachet of jasmine and lavender which were amazing :) In addition to that he provided us with late check out because our flight was later in the afternoon. He also gave us some great tips of how to get around since it was our first time in DC. Also my room was provided with daily housekeeping and my housekeeper was just a sweetheart too but forgot her name unfortunately. My only Con was the bathroom size, as it was super small and there was no ventilation.

Reuben Wauyo
Reuben Wauyo: This is a beautiful venue and would seem to be all great but terrible customer service. Called for a reservation and information on restaurant and was referred to main line. To which someone picked up after I waited on hold, heard me then hung up. This is the most disrespectful and frustrating thing I can think of when trying to get things set for events. Calling back no one picks up and I have now been calling main line for 30 minutes to be assisted and again no one to answers. You would have to be crazy to work with these guys on anything important for you will receive absolutely no clarification or answers on any questions you have. I was very surprised to even see positive reviews at all. I really hope it’s an isolated event, but if I can help anyone else not deal with my issue I’ll be glad to steer you away and onto another location. I will update with location and name after my reservation is set with our new venue. Also to be noted, not even the central main line can reach these guys and are unwilling to even try. I believe we’ve definitely dodged a bullet.
Tammy James
Tammy James: Great.
Sean Makulowich
Sean Makulowich: A hidden gem in terms of elegant DC rooftop pools with incredible views. Chic, international crowd with great specialty cocktails and delicious food - grilled on the rooftop, right in front of you. The salads, house margs, burgers and chicken sandwiches are all safe bets.👍👍

Embassy of Vietnam: what do users think?
Hong Duyen Phan
Hong Duyen Phan: I called the embassy a few months ago to inquire passport renewal but no one answered. A few minutes later, I get a phone call from a personal phone with a DC area code stating that he was a representative from the Vietnam embassy and asked what I needed. At first, I didn’t think any of it. He was nice and was willing to help me fill out the paperwork until he told me that the processing fee was 885$ Via a PayPal account. He informed me that I could send him the application via snapshot, and text it to his personal cell. He said it will take two to three months. I told him it was too much and hung up. I emailed the embassy about this but no response. It is strange how the website does not post any price. I suggest to get it done at agencies. They are willing to help you file the application for a small fee (200$ Including application fee and rush order) and not 885$.
LA
LA: First, they never answered email and will tell you to call 2 numbers they have. Then if you call one number they told you to call the other number and never picked up the other line. If you happened to call the other line, they told you to call the other number. Same person picked up. Unless you pay ‘extra’ through an agent, you will never get anything done with them.
Wai Man
Wai Man: Quick in and out. No line. Drop off our documents for visa. They take credit cards.
Quan Dang
Quan Dang: Honestly, the person on the hotline is so rude. He hung up on me and did not help at all. The embassy exists for a reason: to help Vietnamese people.

Nazerke Bishekova: I don’t even know where to start. Customer service is horrible, the guy who answered the phone on 127 dial extension was extremely rude, raised his voice, didn’t even try to listen to you. Your email is not functional either, the only time they accept the calls is between 3-5pm and you are lucky if they even answer you. Update: They called us back ONLY after we left a complaint. Long story short, our questions were answered.
