Zay McCullough, MSW, LCSW-A: This was the last major attraction I saw during my one week trip here from 12/28/21 to 1/4/2022. You can see the Capital Building from several blocks away. I actually remembered I needed to stop by because I saw it after exiting the Children’s Museum. It was a little after 5pm when we made it there. We say the reflecting pool, which is wider but shorter than the reflecting pool between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. Unlike the latter, the Capitol’s reflecting pool isn’t easily accessible to stuck your feet it. The view, however, was still nice. This was my first time being in DC since I was in elementary school. It was extremely awesome to see the Capitol building. It was ironic that I had just watched Olympus Has Fallen on TV in my hotel just a day prior. Unfortunately, the perimeter of the building is gated off due to the events that transpired a year ago. I’m saddened to see that public access still isn’t available. Of course COVID is an added barrier to tours. Going inside is something that I wanted to do. I did not go to the visitors center that is close by as my son was ready to go back to the hotel, lol. There was a large Christmas tree in the lawn area between the capital building and the reflecting pool. Many people were taking pictures and appeared to be having a good time. I was grateful for the experience because I talked to my son (8) about what goes on in the building, the legislative bodies, and etc. I’m sure he’s forgotten everything we talked about but he can say he seen it in person whenever he does learn about it in school.
Ganindu Madhawa: A place where one can probe into the political history of USA.It is an iconic place and you need to reserve tickets beforehand visiting the place. You will be provided with a guide who give descriptive analysis of the architecture of the place and historical events. 😊

Kenneth Birkhofer: As a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, it has been on my bucket list to visit Marine Barracks 8th & I. Today I made it happen and had the opportunity to reflect on the history and tradition of this monumental landmark. What an incredible experience; Semper Fi and God Bless my fellow Marines, all service members of our military, and the United States of America.
Arohra Lights: I loved this place. Full of culture, history, and motivation. The Friday evening ceremony was amazing and choked up during taps. Make sure to reserve your tickets in advance!! Everyone should go if you are visiting the DC area.
Dale Morrill: An amazing experience for all. The oldest active USMC post in the world. Get your tickets in advance online. Give yourself plenty of time to park and arrive. I found it just as easy and faster to walk from the parking location on M Street versus riding the bus. All of the Marines are extremely kind and helpful. The parade lasts about 2 hours. Marching band, Silent Drill team, Marine Corps mascot, honored guest(s), lowering of flag, Taps and more. A true honor to witness.

I attended the event for July 4th. No better place to be than in our nation’s capital during this time of year-very patriotic.
Jason Harrold: Semper Fidelis! To all those who served in the beloved Marine Corps, to those who are currently serving and to those who will one day step onto the yellow footprints Semper Fi and thank you for your service. I was privileged and honored to attend a night at the Marine Corps Barracks. the Oldest and most prestigious barracks in the corps. The performance of the Marines was spectacular. I rode my motorcycle across the US from Los Angeles to DC for Memorial Day and this was a HUGE Highlight of the trip. If you are a Marine, you need to visit.
Isaac Holt: This base is the oldest USMC installation in the country. The Marine Barracks is the source of the name of the area it is situated in, Barracks Row. Every Friday evening during the summer try host an event called Evening Parade which lasts about an hour long. This event features lots of impressive drill movements and songs, all of which have a historical background much like the installation.
Rakim Means: Being a Marine and going to this place for the first time was a great experience. This place has a lot of tradition and history. We got to take a tour of the barracks and see the Commandants house. It is a little bit weird watching the Marine walk around in the camouflage uniform while out in town.
Gabriel Garcia: This is a great place to visit. Every Friday starting in May the Marine Corps put on a great show. This is the best of the best Marines. I know occasionally a special guest will make an appearance. On the day that I attended the VP of the US was there. Again this is a great place to see whether you are military or not. Go and support of Marines.

Stacy A: Worth at least one visit to celebrate US history. See the Declaration of Independence, constitution, and bill of rights. Room is dark and cold to help with preservation. No photos allowed at all. Entry was simple enough once I found it and staff was quiet but helpful.
Rodrigo Gonzalez: An impressive building which was made to preserve the national documents. In the exhibition, you can see The Constitution, The Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights. Congratulations to the staff and curators for such an impressive place. I recommend it.
Matthew Miller: In reality, you could make a very quick trip here and only see the most important things here--The Constitution, The Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights. With a bit more time, there are other exhibits to see, especially if you are interested in the archiving process and what gets stored in the National Archives. For families with younger children the Boeing Learning Center is a nice place with activities and hands-on materials. The staff there are keen to explain things and are clearly devoted to their vocations.
Wei Hsu: Amazing building and gorgeous architecture.
Nikoloz Gachechiladze: Considering that the place is free, it provides an amazing experience. You can see the originals of American Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence and Constitution all within 15 minutes, if you have planned your route. There are other interesting exhibits, but these three are highlights and definitely worth a visit.

Darsh Mirchandani: I stayed at the Conrad DC for a weekend and I was thoroughly impressed. When I first arrived the valet, bellhop and the check in staff were all extremely friendly, and professional. They made me and my family feel extremely welcome. At check in the staff recognized my Diamond status and gave me a room on a high floor with a beautiful view of the park. When we first arrived, there were minor issues but Rebekah Roberts (hands down the best staff member we encountered) was extremely helpful. The room and hotel were clean, modern, and spacious . I will definitely not hesitate to stay at the Conrad the next time I’m visiting DC.
Mike Finn: This is our very first time staying here. Lovely customer service, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. We had a corner room it was really nice. Bathrooms are literally stunning. The lotion and soaps are of top quality. The gym was awesome no one there and pretty good size for hotel gym——Oh yea the estuary is incredible food, order up or sit in - they do require mask in common areas and upon walking in to check in….. I didn’t have a mask on the front desk person gently politely offered me a mask…… I mentioned to my wife how nice he was … having had very rude experiences in this matter this was a welcomed attitude. If I could give this hotel 10 stars ⭐️ I’d do it. We plan to look for a reason to stay here in the future 😀👍🏾

Aaron: I stayed at the Conrad on a rewards stay and was very impressed. The staff was friendly and courteous, even in the midst staff shortages due to pandemic & a snowstorm. The location was easy to find and made walking to sights do-able. The rooms are luxuriously modern and spacious. They included accent lighting with bedside controls, elegant bathroom design, Nespresso machine, closet space, floor to ceiling windows with automatic curtains, insulation from the noise below, and great views. I really enjoyed the spending credit as a Diamond Member, which I used at the restaurant. It was great dining on the terrace, even in the winter. I look forward to staying at a Conrad hotel again in the future.

Dinner at the on-site restaurant was also amazing! Our server, Ryan, knew the menu inside out and made lots of recommendations to help us decide on what we wanted! Christine Malloy: We’ve stayed at the Conrad and have had great experiences. This trip we needed a few assists with our activities. The Concierge- Jeffrey Morgan was beyond helpful, enthusiastic and incredibly knowledgeable professional. Mr. Morgan helped us with tickets, reservations and all with ease and smile. There were a few minor improvements/suggestions mostly focused around replenishment from housekeeping (glasses etc). But when asked - they were extremely attentive.
Blvknative: This is by far the best hotel and hotel experience I’ve had in DC! The room was fine to perfection. Very spacious for a hotel room. Comes with a couch and a desk. They have this club called the Sakura Club, you have to book a special in order to get it! A little pricey but you’re definitely paying for all of the experience nonetheless! But the club comes with breakfast and dinner and comes with drinks and refreshments as long as you’re booked to that room! Hands down the best! The best views of the city and they have a really nice roof top! Right in the heart of City Center!

Sassy Sauce: Great discounts on Christmas items as part of the holiday sale. I picked up Christmas stockings for under $5.00. There were fire pits on clearance as well. I like this location and they generally have the items I’m in need of for repairs or decorations, etc. The staff is very helpful as well.

She was able to answer my questions, she even went and got me a cart so that it was easier for me to get the items I purchased to my car. It is so refreshing to have people who are pleasant and helpful at their jobs I will definitely come back to this location to get all the plants I need this spring! Brandyn: My brother recently decided that he wanted to check out a Tesla model 3, so one morning we took a walk to the Tesla dealership in City Center. We both were expecting to just take a look and nothing else, but we were extremely wrong. We were greeted by Juliana a Tesla advisor as soon as we walked in. Juliana couldn’t have been more patient with us, she went over the entire car and once she was done she invited us for a test drive. She was not pushy at all, but definitely showed a lot of passion when she started talk about the car. I highly recommend dealing with Juliana she was truly remarkable and my brother is extremely pleased with all the follow up she has done to ensure that his delivery will go smoothly.
Wanda Chestnut: Yesterday I called the DC location to schedule a test drive of the Y model. I spoke to Matt who was very professional and set me up to come in within a few hours. When I arrived I was greeted by the staff. Matt was still working with another customer (I arrived a few minutes early) and he asked Shaun (forgive me if I spelled your name wrong) to take me to the car. This young man was cool, knowledgeable and professional! He answered my questions and provided directions on how to operate the vehicle. I was nervous because I had never driven an electric car before but he patiently explained everything that I needed to know! When I returned from test driving, Matt was ready, and we started the ordering process. In all of my car buying experiences, I have to say this was the fastest, and easiest experience ever! As Matt was entering my information, I would stop him if a question came to mind and he would stop and answer. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicles and satisfactorily answered my questions. He also walked me around to show me some of the accessories, specifically the charger and outlet options. In closing, I am a very observant person and appreciated how each customer was attended to as soon as the entered the store! I am happy that I chose this location, and can’t wait to take possession of my beautiful candy apple red Tesla🙌🏾🙌🏾
