Brenda Conyers: Someone picked up the phone and put me on hold and never picked up the phone to answer my question about renting tools! I was on hold for 20 to 25 more mins I took another call and nobody came back! Terrible customer service not coming back to the phone. I young lady answer the phone I heard her voice.

Michael: Rented dehumidifier from tool rental department. Spoke to staff on the phone before picking up and they agreed to stay open until I arrived, because this was late and looked like I might not make it during their regular business hours. Very polite and helpful. Equipment worked well.

Yvans Cator jr: Wish they had more equipment selection but the customer service made up for it. Had some issues with a piece of equipment and one of the supervisors helped remedy the situation. Also was a pleasure to speak to!

Gale Mcfadden: On the morning of my event I contacted OHR in desperate need of 15 folding chairs. I went immediately and was loaded up right away. The gentleman stacked the chairs neatly in the rear of my SUV and I was on my way in under 15 minutes and it only cost me $20.

John Gary: Rented a 10' uhaul truck, only kept for 2 hours, put gas in truck, and returned it.. When I returned it, the attendant took the truck to the lot without giving the millage, or gas reading. The front office says we will send you a receipt . 2 days later they added on $11.00 worth of gas even though I had just bought gas minutes before. as far as I am concerned this was a complete breach of trust.. Go anywhere except this place.
Response: Hello Gary: Sorry for the misunderstanding. We try our best to expedite our services to get customers in and out to go about their day. Some of our processes with U-haul don’t require you to wait. We ask you if you would like to wait for us to close the ticket or send you a receipt on the basis that the truck was returned with the same amount of fuel. I’ve reviewed your invoice to check where the problem may have occurred. As stated in the contract, it is the customers responsibility to check the fuel before leaving and return the gas tank at what it was dispatched. I did the calculation on how many miles were driven and you went approximately 74 miles. Our 10 foot trucks get and estimate of 12 mpg as stated on the U-haul website. If you can provide a fuel receipt around 6.17 gallons I would be happy to reimburse you for the fuel. Once again, I’m sorry we didn’t meet your expectations. Please feel free to reach me directly if you would like to discuss the issue. We hope this one instance doesn’t deter you from coming back. Jose Rodriguez: Smh Rated this place 5 star before but no more the girls at the front desk are no help. I set up my $50 guaranteed reservation with them to get a 6 x 12 trailer for 1 pm on the 20th of Saturday and come to find out someone who does not have the same last name as me and someone who does not have the same LICENSE NUMBER as me was able to take my RESERVED trailer. They didn't say sorry or anything they just told me to call uhaul to see if I can pick it up at another location. I didn't have time to go to another location I was thinking that pre checking in by the uhaul website should save me time but it did not save me time at all. I really needed the 6 by 12 but they didn't not try to accommodate me I was rhenone who mentioned if they had another size trailer and it was a 5 by 9 trailer which was not big enough but I needed a trailer. I wasn't even offered the $50 for the 50 dollar guarantee offer,of the reservation I asked for. When I finally got the 5 by 9 reserved it created another reservation and the girl who helped didn't even apologize or didn't seem to care for their mistake. To add to the frustration she put in for the trailer to be turned in the same day but I put online that I wanted to turn in the trailer for the 21st of march at 1 pm. Also, there were to reservations on my online uhaul. Rodney I know you are going to read this ir was much better when jackie was there she was legit.

moni cool: They are great as far as renting anything from them. And have everything you want for party's and home equipments, with reasonable prices.

neaneah Robinson: I called them last Friday no one answered the phone called back Monday they were closed left message for them to call me I was looking for tables on Tuesday I started calling them a lady answered I told her what I was looking for she told me they had only 5 foot and 8 foot tables so I told her I would take them for this coming Saturday she explained I needed to reserve through their email with credit card and license since it was my 1st time renting from them so I emailed them all my information and number of tables. Wednesday morning a man calls back and said he was sorry the lady was mistaken only 8 foot tables were available so I said ok I will take 3 of them he also asked me to scan my license and email it so I did. Thursday afternoon I get a text sorry no tables are available for Saturday but I could try AAA. I text back I don't understand I reserved them with my credit card and they didn't respond back so basically they left me high and dry for my son's graduation party yes next time I would have called a few weeks advance instead of a week but don't tell me you have them and I reserve them to turn around and say you don't

Our phone lines are busy on Friday, Saturday, and Mondays. We answer our phone lines in the order from which they were received and wait times may vary. Customers can experience wait times up to 15 minutes or more. We apologize that the wait times can be long but each customer is different where we can speak to someone for 10 mins for a small event or up to an hour for a large function. Our staff should have stated the wait may be long and offered to take your name and number down to give you a call back when we were available to get back to you. Sorry. Graduation season has always been the beginning of the busy season for our company. Item availability becomes limited if you try and make a reservation a week in advance. We always recommend making your reservation at least two to three weeks in advance to ensure availability. For new customers, creating an account via e-mail can take up to 24 to 48 hours. I see that you sent over your information on Wednesday afternoon and I apologize that we couldn't get back to you sooner than you expected. For faster service, we recommend to new customers to come down to our store. We can create an account and reserve items all at once. Again, we sincerely apologize to hear about the problems you experienced. We really appreciate your critique and we will use your review to improve our business services. Daryl Taylor: The desk was ok but the yard workers lack proper tool/equipment and I'll say traing to do their jobs properly.

Ernesto Ferreras: I lost my whole day because of a grinder machine, the first one was damaged then I drove back to the store 30m away, they replace it but I couldn't finish the job, 2 days later, they made me pay again, the 2nd machine didn't has power so had to return it again. They returned the payment but what about my and crew time that I lost? Now I'm happy renting in HercRentals.

Carib Gem: I rented a dehumidifier. The staff was very helpful especially with it being my 1st time there. The return process was very simple and quick! I was also able to easily extend my rental time over the phone.

Ferzana Hashmi PHILIPPE: UNPROFESSIONAL AND LACKING IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. The woman answering the phone has no business taking calls from the public. She has ZERO expertise in explaining what is available for rent in a clear and articulate manner. I called United Rentals to rent a bobcat/skidsteer to be used for transporting topsoil to level a one acre lot. The woman who answered my call spent almost 10 minutes on the phone with me vaguely describing models on the phone. Never once, did she reference a website and lucidly explain the options available. Instead, she made me feel like I needed to know what I wanted to rent, as if homeowners rent this type of equipment all of the time. Following my call to United Rental, I spent 10 minutes on the phone with my landscaper summarizing this vague conversation with United Rental in Landover. The landscaper said he would go in person to identify the correct machine. I called United Rental back to see if this was okay so that we could pick the right machine for the job and I would pay for the reservation. Same unhelpful and inarticulate woman picked up the phone and was put out that the landscaper was going to come and look at machines. She said that the machine I wanted was in Virginia. I said surely there is a way for you to show the landscaper what is available e.g. catalogue/posters etc. She said that she can have him pull things on his phone while he is in the shop but that he was not allowed at her computer due to COVID. During my two calls and 25 minutes wasted, I was never given links to a website or a clear way to figure out what is available for rent. A gentleman picked up the phone and rather than diffuse a situation with actual information/website, he hung up on me. I don't know how these folks are in business. It should be crystal clear what is available for rent. The person should be able to clearly say A, B and C while pointing to a website/catalogue/something.

Jarred Byrnes: I had a very good experience here. I Was able to rent a lawn aerator the day of on a Saturday in peak season for much cheaper than renting at Home Depot would have been. I don’t understand the bad reviews for the owner, he was very friendly and helpful. The other worker helped me load the equipment into my truck and was very thorough in giving instructions on operating the equipment. Will definitely use ACE for all my rentals from now on.

Dave Anders: Had occasion to go in this rental place on Thursday 8/3 to rent a tool. The old guy at the counter could not have been any ruder had he tried. The tool was to be rented by more boss using his CC over the phone. Not usually an issue but it certainly was here. When I was given the price I simply asked if the counter guy needed the number to call. He then stated "how does that become my job". I said " excuse me"! By now the phone is in his hand as he then ask "Who the f#*k am I calling"? I simply got my license off the register and gave him the cussing he so richly deserved. Went to the rental place across from Dominion Electric and did my business. Pleasant counter guy and saved $40 to boot. Y'all remember ACE isn't the only place to rent in town. Apparently they seem to think they are.

Andy Johnson: well everyone complains about this woman well if you do not like her you should go else where. She is half owner of the business and the other is her Brother. lol Now for me I only rent the log splitters and every year they look worse. I just called to see if they have any new ones and the lady said they are trying to get caught up on all of there repairs. Well repairs are not what they need. They need to replace. They are in rough shape. I am sure they could have a good house sell and sell all of their old stuff and buy some new items. This is what we are wanting from a rental company. Good and new equipment. that operates efficient.

Josh Karrasch: This tool rental store is a little out of my way but worth every second! They have the best equipment, it always works, and they never beat around the bush about cost. I know up front what I am going to pay when I bring it back, no surprises and the prices are competitive. I'll keep coming back!

She's a cancer to that establishment, they should cut her out and start the chemo. If they didn't have the better prices around town if give them zero stars if I could. If that miserable woman is reading this then this is for you; no one is forcing you to work there, if you hate your job so much then go cry in the dark somewhere. This place will not see another dime from me until you are gone.

Josh (JB): My go to for rentals. Some of the equipment is has seen a few years but usually they have been well maintained or fixed. Guys out in the yard are great to talk to

Telma Umana: Worst place to rent equipment! The old man at the front desk charged me extra because the ladder I rented was not sliding down easily. When my guys try to lower the ladder at the job site the ladder wouldn't slide down. Poor customer service the old man laugh when I told him he was going to lose my business, because he was charging me for something that was damaged already.

Alex M.: Got every rental to may need. Deposit fee varies by who attends you. I rented pressure washer twice. 1st time is was a 150 deposit. The 2nd time guy said it was 300. Then lowered to 200 since i didnt have that much cash with me. Rentals are checked before and after rental.

B Thornberry: I've used D&B several time for projects around the house and each time I've been extremely satisfied. They have good prices, a large selection, and the staff is knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. Giving a big shout-out to Jon O. Always very helpful.

Cory Laws: I'm not quite sure how to judge, but I've always liked D&B. The guys at the counter have always been friendly, and had personality, which I like. I like talking trash a bit, or just making people smile. Their shop is old, but has been updated inside and is a lot nicer than I remember from a few years ago. I've rented from them recently, but had grading equipment delivered. Tools are plentiful and in good shape. I've never had any problems. Pricing is also good, especially compared to the national chain across the street.

Farrah Khan: Great place to rent lawn equipment (my purpose in going there - they have some other equipment). Equipment was clean, in good condition, and easy to use. The price was best of any place in the area. All the attendees were friendly and easy going, and took extra time to explain how to use the equipment. I would absolutely rent again when the need arises.

shane hannegan: Best rental place in Nova and I’ve been to them all. I’ve been a customer here for over 10 years and have always been taken care of above and beyond the minimum. See Matt Wright for a no BS way of getting the job done.

Jeff Parnes: Needed a tiller to get my garden ready for planting. Rented a 5hp unit for a reasonable price for 4 hours. They helped me load and unload it. Easy to do, recommend them!

Matt Mella: Just finished aerating a 1 acre lawn with a ride on machine from D&B - this thing was a beast. In under an hour I had great quality plugs with minimal effort. I've got a decent sloped hill on part of my property and was able to navigate it with the ride on easily. Compared to the walk behind I used last year my plugs were at least twice as long and the walk behind took me a solid 3-4 hours compared to this one hour. Highly recommend!

Joe W.: Great customer service. The only place that would rent me a trailer wide enough. The 15 other rentals either didn't have the size and width I needed or refused to rent since I was not a construction company. From start to finish amazing customer service. When I arrived they we great help on hook up, double-checking everything and letting me borrow a pinion hitch at no extra cost. On returning they went above and beyond. I only had one day to return the trailer that week, and I would not be able to make it until 10 minutes after closing. They said no problem bring it up. A large storm hit a few miles from the shop and turning that 10 minutes into 30 minutes past closing. They still helped me out. I know what it's like trying to get off to see family after a long day, but you are held back. I can't thank them enough for working with me.

Danny Climo: Have used D&B for two separate projects and have been very happy with their service. In particular, I rented a bush hog to clear some land and through a fault of my own, D&B replaced the hog same day without no additional charge. Have also used their aerator for a yard project and the tool worked well. Great prices and customer service.

My experience when calling to check for prices, all the way through my drop off was excellent. The folks are friendly, Oscar was great and loaded it up into the truck for me. He also check the gas and topped it off moments before putting it my truck. They provided me with a brief lesson on how to use it. I will definitely be back to rent from them when I need to. Excellent experience excellent service friendly people. And on top of it the most competitive price I found while shopping around.

She not only handled my transaction with a smile, but ensured that my delivery would be seamless. Kyle and Mateo came to my home and were two of the nicest delivery professionals I ever encountered. Audrey Lester: Blind Customer: I increased shopping here during pandemic, as it’s in my community. On nearly all visits, I’m greeted at front door by a very knowledgeable staff member. I love how they know where every item is specifically located - like really! Upon entry, you’re on main isle. To your left are short isles leading to registers. Staff always escort me through store or to elevator where I’m met by another team member on lower level. Ayesha, General Manager, allows items to be opened for me when possible so I can feel item. I especially love their text message lime where consumers can ask questions before visiting store. Great Team!

koura Gibson: Disappointed to be rudely treated for “walking into store” before opening. The door was wide opened and I entered only to be charged aggressively by the 3 attending employees, shouting for me to exit. I had to calm them down of their excitement to reprimand me for entering the store. There was no indication that the store was not opened. No hours were posted ether. Then the older guy rudely and aggressively closed the door as I exited. He then snarkly stated “I guess!” When informing him that 8:00 was in 14 minutes. It was really disappointing to have to endure such rudeness in the morning.

Al Boyd: Customer service, was excellent. But I didn't appreciate being mistaken for a thief. I had the receipt was in my bag. I am a retired police officer, I don't need too steal anything from anyone.

Nathan Deunk: Very convenient location, and they've really improved the store since they moved locations. Unfortunately, Fragers employees and contractors consistently endanger the residents of the surrounding community by illegally parking on both 11th SE and Pennsylvania SE. I can't support a store that cares so little for their neighbors, especially when those neighbors are their customers.

mppal32937 Ocean: On August 9th I reserved a lawn thatcher for pick up on September 21st at the Sterling location. When I arrived at the business I was told they didn’t have the equipment I had reserved MORE THAN a month ago. I was told they had a thatcher available in Bladensburg MD ... a 47-mile, 1-hour drive around the Beltway. I took an unpaid day off of work to get this job done. What’s the point in making a reservation? Why didn’t the business transfer the equipment to Sterling? To say this is poor customer service is an understatement. This is incompetence. We all know what happens next: A reply from the business with a lame apology and a statement about how they value their customers. I will never deal with United Rentals again and I will make sure to share this experience with everyone I know, both personally and through every social media platform.

Jacqueline Mariano: Decent customer service initially. When equipment was dropped off they were two hours early usually not a bad thing but for our specific logistics didn’t work out well. We rented on a Friday for weekend use but the equipment brought was too big and I was told to rent elsewhere because they were closed and they’d deal with it on Monday. Well it’s Monday and I still haven’t heard from anyone not even for pick up. I called 5 hours after they opened and just said they’d text me with an eta. Horrible customer service after our initial phone call. And we Beat not even be charged because we could not use the equipment at all and went elsewhere as they suggested. No one called over the weekend or even followed up.

A lady said she would get back to me. 2 weeks later, I got an email that said they couldn't help me with my event. No reason, no follow up, no explanation. As a potential customer, I would have appreciated an explanation or a phone call out of professional courtesy to return mine.
Response: Sorry, lack of good dependable help was our problem. These past 18 months was a challenge. One of our best men passed months earlier. Three new employees lasted 8 - 36 days this summer. Three weeks ago another one of our men went into the hospital. Sorry again

They showed me how to use the machine and offered helpful advice. While using the machine, a belt broke but I was able to bring it back, have it fixed and then finish my project with minimal time lost. Very impressed. I will definitely be going back for future rentals. Thanks guys

Dale Lucas: I made the rental online for the lawn aerator and trailer. The online application was very easy to use. I received an email to verify date and equipment. Upon arrival at United Rentals I called their entry phone number and an employee came right out. They hooked up the trailer to my truck and showed me how to operate aerator. It was very easy and I was gone in about 10-15 minutes to work on the lawn. Drop-off only took a couple minutes. Very easy to process and the employees I talked to and who helped me onsite were very friendly.

Mark McClanahan: equipment did not work entirely as it should; engine died on any incline; This business did make if right and refunded half of the rental fee and explained that it was a safety feature, and that there was a work-around. It was a slight incline and only happened in one direction, however. Smooth and convenient pickup and return.

President SMDR: The phone lines are always busy every time you call. As a result, you are placed on hold for long periods of time. Other occasions you can hear the phones ringing in the background, distracting the salesperson. You are rushed such that they can answer other calls, and you feel like you are bothering them when you ask follow-up questions.

Sue Faucette: I rented a boomlift from Grand Rental and the manager was awesome. He advised me on the workings of the lift and did a great job explaining how the machine worked. He even made himself accessible by phone if there were any questions, and I did end up having to call him. I was a little late returning the lift but he worked with me on that as well. The machine operated just like he said it would and made my task of trimming the tree much easier.

Ed McKay: I get my 20lb tank propne refills here. $20 per fill. Bring your own tank, not an exchange. Best price around. All kinds of tool rentals here. Generators, lighting, lifts, bobcats, chippers, diggers, etc. They always seem to have availability of rental equipment. The only time I have witnessed lack of availability is following major storms when customers looking for chippers and generators were told they were all rented already.

Rocco Posimato: Extremely rude employee gave me a hard time about a tool I didn't even use and had for maybe 30 minutes. When I asked to return the tool and about the price I would still have to pay full price with no explanation. When I asked if this is how they usually treat paying customers I was told "this is how we deal with customers LIKE YOU". Not sure what he meant by that but regardless, if I pay for a service and am cordial with you there's no reason to be rude and insult me personally. Laughable excuse for customer service and an employee.

Miguel Rodriguez: Worst customer service. I arrived at 6:20 and I walked in and got sent right back and them saying “don’t you see we open in 10mins” in a rudely angry way. As a business owner I find myself not renting or dealing with this company/branch ever, and to make things worse I waited an hour to get my rental equipment unloaded. Also in this hour I asked to use the restroom and was denied by management, they told me “you can’t use my bathroom and I can’t allow you to go use the shops restroom”. I asked the shop mechanic and he was like yea go right ahead with no problem. Like I said I don’t recommend.

Keith Bradley: They are Quick to Deliver your Equipment. But trying to return it is another Story. I was told that it can take up to a Week to be picked up. There Delivery Fee is out Rage Us. $ 400 Rental End up Spending $800 just for 1 Day.

Sassy Sauce: Great discounts on Christmas items as part of the holiday sale. I picked up Christmas stockings for under $5.00. There were fire pits on clearance as well. I like this location and they generally have the items I’m in need of for repairs or decorations, etc. The staff is very helpful as well.

Stuart Miles-McLean: I don't like all the self check out lines which are killing jobs. They did have things I was looking for in the wild bird and critter section, but it appears they need more employees -- all over the store -- to keep the inventory organized and properly shelved and labeled. The employees I did encounter were very helpful and friendly; it just looked like they need more of them.

Kev- keepingitreal: This location offers a variety of affordable items for your home improvement needs. I really appreciate the staff in the aisle for assisting me with finding items on my check list. At check out the cashier was welcoming and friendly. This store was very clean and offers plenty of parking.

Jessica Fullington: Today I went to the garden center for some outside plants. Yolanda was so very helpful! She was able to answer my questions, she even went and got me a cart so that it was easier for me to get the items I purchased to my car. It is so refreshing to have people who are pleasant and helpful at their jobs I will definitely come back to this location to get all the plants I need this spring! Marla was very helpful as well along with the young man who answered some of my questions about my plans. All around a wonderful experience!

goklt: Lots of materials here. Check out was fast. However good luck asking for assistance. Lots of associates are walking around but not helping customers. I tracked an employee down for assistance in moving materials from a high shelf to store level in the door section. He called two times for assistance to my aisle but no one came and he advised going to customer service. They called and still no help. Had to track somone down in a different department altogether. Crazy.

Chase Johnson: The employees here are courteous. But the wood cutting service they claim to offer is not available when needed. The store should just be candid that wood cutting won’t be available (or at the very least won’t be available at any specific time). I am a local DIYer (not a contractor). Before I bought wood I asked about cutting and was told it was no problem—buy it and then request a cut. I did. I was then told the lumber associate wasn’t available for an hour. I couldn’t get the wood (a single sheet of plywood I needed to cut in half) into my car, so I waited. After an hour, there was still no lumber associate, so the wood was never cut.

N R: Terrible customer service. Returning an item took 3 months of repeated calls to schedule a pickup and even when Lowe's had the item back multiple calls were needed to secure the refund. Such a hassle, so worth avoiding! The third party delivery service that they use doesn't turn up in the agreed time slots so it's very easy to miss them and then get stuck in the web of calls that are required to reschedule.

Annie Signorelli: I ordered a dishwasher with professional installation and the process from start to finish was completely nontransparent and unprofessional. The installation had to be rescheduled because the dishwasher wasn’t pulled down for pick up in time, and then when it was installed it was the incorrect dishwasher — not even the right brand. After several hours on the phone with the Lowes installation line, including being told multiple times that they couldn’t advance the process because they couldn’t get in touch with anyone at their own Lowes store, I called the store directly and was able to sort it out and get the installation rescheduled. A Lowes associate later told me that they don’t have the “luxury” of waiting on hold with the store which is what I had to do in order to ensure my order was completed. Finally the correct dishwasher was installed on the third attempt and I was told I could contact the installation line again to discuss compensation for the inconvenience. Again it took multiple attempts to even get an update on where my case stood, despite being told every time that I should expect a call back “by end of business” every day I called. When I finally got offered compensation it was for less than half of the amount I requested (I requested the installation service be refunded seeing as it took 3 attempts and I was the one having to set everything up because Lowes did not follow through). While I am satisfied with the product I am in disbelief at how difficult and unprofessional the process was with Lowes. I do not recommend purchasing appliances from installation from this store or using the Lowes installation services.

Conchita Coney: Excellent but one of the employees didn't know what he was talking about whereas getting parts for a 2019 torro self-repellent lawn mower. He told my husband and I to go to store name Grainger on MD 202 they are either closed or permanently shut down.

Elizabeth Ramming: Assistance was top notch!! The gentlemen working there were very polite and helped me a lot with specific questions. HOWEVER-- However, I needed lumber, a 1X6 piece. What they had in stock was WET. But oh! I found 2 dry pieces at the bottom. But alas, don't be happy for me. Those pieces were warped in both directions - both along the length and width. That's it. So, shut up and buy it, or fight DC traffic to go someplace else. Both of those options were the absolute WORST. Why was the wood wet amd warped?? ... Duhhh. How utterly stupid.
