Harley Stine: Through the mold remediation company I use, First Priority USA, we rented a 40’ articulating arm lift to use in power washing algae from cedar shake shingle steep sloped roof on Saturday, June 27, 2020. The lift was delivered on Friday, June 26. The lift was perfect for the job though it took about 1 1/2 hours, including trip to Home Depot for 2” X 4” shims to level the lift. Articulating arm does not fully articulate unless unit is level. After that, the lift fully operational, it proved to be the perfect choice for the work which took 5 hours in all to complete. Lift rent @ $1000.00/day was indeed worth the rental cost which included lift delivery day before work day and return pickup. Though Sunbelt did not pickup until today Tuesday, June 30 and it required multiple phone calls to get the pickup. Efficient return was needed because the house lift was used at is a zero-lot-line home in a small cup-de-sac development of 15 homes. The house the lift was needed at off Old Chesterbrook Road is a narrow private street and parking is tight. After completion of work the lift was parked on thee street because access to driveway was needed on the following Monday morning for POD delivery to the driveway. Sunbelt Rental location is only 3.5 miles away which is why, I believe, rental price was reasonable but it should have been picked up on Monday, not Tuesday and so many phone calls is frustrating.

Mel P: Horrible experience: my husband rented a jumping jack there for one day, the published daily rate was $72 - our account was charged $124. My husband did not ask for the receipt as he left and had provided his credit card information prior. We had actually made doubly sure this won’t cost more with a call before we picked up the tool. When we called and asked for an explanation we were told that a tool protection plan was added. We should have paid $100. That’s still no explanation for a $124 charge. Then we asked to receive the receipt via email and they said they’d sent it right away, we never got anything. Total rip off, never again for any sort of rental. Terrible customer service.

Sunbelt is one of the best rental companies that I've worked with. The equipment arrived to my job sites on time and were in great condition. Azita M.A.: Taken advantage! Rented two outside heaters for one day for $200 and was charged $180 for delivery and pickup! This was for a distance of 6 miles!!! Will never go back!

Paul Benda: It's Sunbelt Rentals not much to say about that, but their prices are pretty competitive. I like this place because the counter guys are very helpful and pleasant to deal with. This is my go to place for rentals.

I love how they know where every item is specifically located - like really! Upon entry, you’re on main isle. To your left are short isles leading to registers. Staff always escort me through store or to elevator where I’m met by another team member on lower level. Ayesha, General Manager, allows items to be opened for me when possible so I can feel item. I especially love their text message lime where consumers can ask questions before visiting store. Great Team!

koura Gibson: Disappointed to be rudely treated for “walking into store” before opening. The door was wide opened and I entered only to be charged aggressively by the 3 attending employees, shouting for me to exit. I had to calm them down of their excitement to reprimand me for entering the store. There was no indication that the store was not opened. No hours were posted ether. Then the older guy rudely and aggressively closed the door as I exited. He then snarkly stated “I guess!” When informing him that 8:00 was in 14 minutes. It was really disappointing to have to endure such rudeness in the morning.

Nathan Deunk: Very convenient location, and they've really improved the store since they moved locations. Unfortunately, Fragers employees and contractors consistently endanger the residents of the surrounding community by illegally parking on both 11th SE and Pennsylvania SE. I can't support a store that cares so little for their neighbors, especially when those neighbors are their customers.

dc delivery: Absolutely amazing service. Used their go-go scooter for a 3 day festival and only had to charge it 1 time! Excellent service! Same-day on-time delivery, great pricing and friendly and communicative! ZERO HASSLE! I wouldn’t have been able to even go to the festival without this service at all. Karla Stewart: I learned about Express Mobility after the original company I had reserved a mobility scooter from canceled my order at the last minute. The hotel concierge at the hotel recommended Express Mobility and while they were more expensive than the first company, they came through and made it possible for my grandmother to get around during our visit to Washington DC. Delivery and pickup were easy and seamless. I highly recommend this company. The price is the only reason for 4 stars rather than 5, but given the circumstances the additional cost was absolutely worth it.

Joe Vaszily: Avoid this company!! Very poor customer service. Lack of communication with customers. Will never rent from them again and will not recommend them to family & friends. They wasted my time waiting for a scooter delivery that they texted and emailed me the morning of the scheduled rental that it would be delivered to us by 10am. Waited from 9:30am to 11am then called. Claimed to not have my reservation but called me back to tell me that they delivered the scooter to the hotel concierge the day before but never bothered to inform us. Claimed the texts and emails I received were automated. So how is the customer supposed to know the scooter was sitting in a remote storage area of the hotel? A courtesy email or text would have sufficed to let me know the scooter was delivered. Instead we wasted a full morning of a $175 per day rental.

Due to the cherry Blossom festival today, we had extremely busy day and the hotel was supposed to inform you that the Scooter was delivered. As you can see on other reviews, we are known for taking ownership and caring deeply about our customers. We can’t fix the past, but you have my personal commitment to improve the way we serve every customer. Until then, please accept my sincerest apologies.

Jennifer Kirby: I got to DC and shortly thereafter had a back wheel come irreparably off my four year old chair. This was a Friday evening. I called Express Mobility at 10 on Saturday and had a quality rental power chair at my hotel before noon. Was able to enjoy 3 full active days in DC. Thanks! Owner is friendly, and efficient and professional. Hopefully won't need again, but if I do, I won't worry.

ariam gebrehiwot: I rented a scooter last weekend form Express Mobility for the weekend and it was at my hotel when I arrived. It was clean and fully Charged. It was so nice having the Scooter at the hotel! The DC Metro public transportation were accessible. I did not have to worry about getting around to the Museums and National Parks. I was able to use my Scooter in Downtown DC also. I highly recommend renting from Express Mobility Services.

They have been very reliable, punctual and have very competitive pricing. Once as I was getting ready for a meeting, before I left my hotel I had problem with the scooter I rented from them. When I called the company, the phone was answered immediately and their service man came within 20 minutes. He took care of the problem and I was able to get to my meeting on schedule. There service men had good sense of urgency, he was very professional knowledgeable and courteous. I couldn't say that about any other company I used before. My family and my mother really enjoyed their short visit to DC. I’ve never seen my mother so happy and not feel like a burden by not being able to walk with the family. It was a great choice for us to rent and thank you for providing this service, which isn’t easy to find for senior citizens or people who have mobility challenges. We are truly greatful. Sassy Sauce: I missed all of the after Christmas saw items. This location had a few products left over from Christmas but nothing I really wanted. Overall the store was neat and organized. I didn’t need any additional items for this trip, just preparing for next years holiday decorations.

I really Appreciate the help from a young male staff who was working in the Garden/Mulch area, he was very Helpful and Knowledgeable with assisting me with the products along with a young female cashier on the inside of the store. Now you can never get the help you need when you’re in the store aisles. Every time you asked a staff member who’s in the same aisle as you. Can you help me with something? Their reply seems to be, I don’t work over here and they don’t know who can help you..!!! Home Depot needs better training for their staff who’s working in the store aisles..

Jeff Rueckgauer: Needed a red 10 cup Brita pitcher. App says there is 1 in stock. Not on the shelf. 4 associates said they couldn't help but would page someone for the aisle. 10 minutes is more than enough time for someone to at least arrive, even if they have to look further. This HD had been really good for many years. The pandemic is no excuse for just unhelpful people and plainly unconcerned, inept management.

Rickey Anderson: I went to the Rhode Island Avenue store it was good. What would made it excellent if their stock was current with the website. They didn't have it even though the computer said they did have it. The item was Sphagnum moss. Happy that I was able to find a few other items

Bailey Cage: Unfortunately this was the first time I’ve been to a Home Depot where the staff was completely unknowledgeable. I had spent hours online trying to research the best products / methods for tiling my second-story concrete subfloor with no definitive answers, so I decided to head to the store and find someone to help me. Normally Home Depot workers are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, but whoever they sent back to flooring to help me seemed to know nothing. He was able to show me where items were on the aisle, but he couldn’t answer a single question about how to tile my floor or what the differences and pros/cons in products were. It was incredibly frustrating and unhelpful, and I ended up leaving with a couple hundred dollars of products I later had to return. What truly upset me is that I did some more research once I got home just to find out the answer I was looking for is common knowledge in construction, but as someone doing a DIY project, I just didn’t know what terms I had to search for. For a Home Depot employee - the flooring specialist - to not know this is astounding.

jamesbowdenjr: This is the worst Home Depot is in the entire country. I am trying to get a door, but the store is unresponsive, the management is inept and provides no additional assistance, the associates are extremely slow, unknowledgeable of the products. The worst customer service experience I have ever had. I do not recommend this store. Please go to another Home Depot location.

Anna Lloyd: Desmond in the home and garden went out of his way to help us find something that 4 different employees had just shrugged their shoulders and said that even though it was available online they were probably out. Desmond knew exactly where it was and showed us himself, even though it was on the complete other side of the store. He really took customer service to the next level.

DAVID GILL: paint dept vert slow. When paint was done I was not told it was done. I came up to the counter and stood there waiting while emotes helped others. After 10 minutes he pointed at can. I said is that mine he looked at me like Duh.

Lowe's Home Improvement: what do users think?


Sassy Sauce: Great discounts on Christmas items as part of the holiday sale. I picked up Christmas stockings for under $5.00. There were fire pits on clearance as well. I like this location and they generally have the items I’m in need of for repairs or decorations, etc. The staff is very helpful as well.

Stuart Miles-McLean: I don't like all the self check out lines which are killing jobs. They did have things I was looking for in the wild bird and critter section, but it appears they need more employees -- all over the store -- to keep the inventory organized and properly shelved and labeled. The employees I did encounter were very helpful and friendly; it just looked like they need more of them.

Kev- keepingitreal: This location offers a variety of affordable items for your home improvement needs. I really appreciate the staff in the aisle for assisting me with finding items on my check list. At check out the cashier was welcoming and friendly. This store was very clean and offers plenty of parking.

Jessica Fullington: Today I went to the garden center for some outside plants. Yolanda was so very helpful! She was able to answer my questions, she even went and got me a cart so that it was easier for me to get the items I purchased to my car. It is so refreshing to have people who are pleasant and helpful at their jobs I will definitely come back to this location to get all the plants I need this spring! Marla was very helpful as well along with the young man who answered some of my questions about my plans. All around a wonderful experience!

goklt: Lots of materials here. Check out was fast. However good luck asking for assistance. Lots of associates are walking around but not helping customers. I tracked an employee down for assistance in moving materials from a high shelf to store level in the door section. He called two times for assistance to my aisle but no one came and he advised going to customer service. They called and still no help. Had to track somone down in a different department altogether. Crazy.

Chase Johnson: The employees here are courteous. But the wood cutting service they claim to offer is not available when needed. The store should just be candid that wood cutting won’t be available (or at the very least won’t be available at any specific time). I am a local DIYer (not a contractor). Before I bought wood I asked about cutting and was told it was no problem—buy it and then request a cut. I did. I was then told the lumber associate wasn’t available for an hour. I couldn’t get the wood (a single sheet of plywood I needed to cut in half) into my car, so I waited. After an hour, there was still no lumber associate, so the wood was never cut.

N R: Terrible customer service. Returning an item took 3 months of repeated calls to schedule a pickup and even when Lowe's had the item back multiple calls were needed to secure the refund. Such a hassle, so worth avoiding! The third party delivery service that they use doesn't turn up in the agreed time slots so it's very easy to miss them and then get stuck in the web of calls that are required to reschedule.

Annie Signorelli: I ordered a dishwasher with professional installation and the process from start to finish was completely nontransparent and unprofessional. The installation had to be rescheduled because the dishwasher wasn’t pulled down for pick up in time, and then when it was installed it was the incorrect dishwasher — not even the right brand. After several hours on the phone with the Lowes installation line, including being told multiple times that they couldn’t advance the process because they couldn’t get in touch with anyone at their own Lowes store, I called the store directly and was able to sort it out and get the installation rescheduled. A Lowes associate later told me that they don’t have the “luxury” of waiting on hold with the store which is what I had to do in order to ensure my order was completed. Finally the correct dishwasher was installed on the third attempt and I was told I could contact the installation line again to discuss compensation for the inconvenience. Again it took multiple attempts to even get an update on where my case stood, despite being told every time that I should expect a call back “by end of business” every day I called. When I finally got offered compensation it was for less than half of the amount I requested (I requested the installation service be refunded seeing as it took 3 attempts and I was the one having to set everything up because Lowes did not follow through). While I am satisfied with the product I am in disbelief at how difficult and unprofessional the process was with Lowes. I do not recommend purchasing appliances from installation from this store or using the Lowes installation services.

Conchita Coney: Excellent but one of the employees didn't know what he was talking about whereas getting parts for a 2019 torro self-repellent lawn mower. He told my husband and I to go to store name Grainger on MD 202 they are either closed or permanently shut down.

Elizabeth Ramming: Assistance was top notch!! The gentlemen working there were very polite and helped me a lot with specific questions. HOWEVER-- However, I needed lumber, a 1X6 piece. What they had in stock was WET. But oh! I found 2 dry pieces at the bottom. But alas, don't be happy for me. Those pieces were warped in both directions - both along the length and width. That's it. So, shut up and buy it, or fight DC traffic to go someplace else. Both of those options were the absolute WORST. Why was the wood wet amd warped?? ... Duhhh. How utterly stupid.

Matthew Ferrell: I was less than thrilled to find out after the fact there is no night drop. I had to return 100 miles away because of this because they close at 5. The jack was broken on my unit as well, but the had what I needed in a pinch. The employees were fantastic and I could not complain one ounce about them.

Nathan Klawa: Sometimes people are lame. Sometimes people are ignorant. Sometimes people are stupid. But rarely people are all three! Sadly, Sunbelt Rental staff are. I called them recently to ensure my truck could tow a certain trailer I needed for a job. A chirpy staff member assured me, "No problem, Sir, this trailer is made for a standard 2" ball." However, on the day of the job, I went to pick the trailer up and a Sunbelt staff member told me that I was not only attempting an illegal act by towing a trailer longer than my truck, but that they, the best, brightest Sunbeltians, would be subject to STATE FINES for aiding AND abetting crime!!! Truly, I am disappointed in the technical knowledge of their staff. At an equipment rental place, costumers rely on staff to have at least a basic degree of training and common sense. It depresses me to think what the construction world is coming to...ignorance and conceit mixed all up into pudgy desk warmers. 😟 At least don't be rude, ignorance is forgivable in extreme circumstances, but rudeness - never!

Matthew Cruse: I rented a stump grinder here and when I had a problem with it they were able to get me an extension very easily. Good customer service!

Stephen Klawa: Reservations mean nothing here! After confirming that our truck could tow an 18 ft trailer and reserving it, we went to pick it up. When we got there they refused to rent it to us!

Ricardo Haynes: I ordered a bed and left a financial deposit back in june, the bed wouldn't available until mid August. So I found another outlet with cheaper prices and better quality. I ask for my deposit back along with my receipt and was told I couldn't received my deposit back until the material reached the store. As a US war veteran, I feel this is an act of economical communism.

Edward Gonzalez: I am a USAID foreign service officer, who needed temporary furniture. I decided to use Rent-A-Center. The staff were extremely friendly, flexible and made sure that I got what I wanted. The only issue to keep in mind is the delivery. One of my walls was slightly damaged. But overall, it was a positive experience.

Destiny Jones: Short of staff never communicate about your order bad attitudes from staff members place my order a month. Ago until this day December 26 my order is still incomplete they still don't communicaticate with me about my status about what's going on i constantly call them headquarters is not any better I wouldn't recommend doing business with them find someone else who can offer better services then them

Sean Leneghan: Ask for Garret! My wife and I are beginning a small project on our home here in Rockville Maryland, and we knew we needed a lift of some sort but were unsure of what kind. We went to the Sunbelt store in Gaithersburg with many questions and upon arrival, we were greeted by an energetic young man named Garret. We discussed our plans and he explained in great detail the different types of man lifts, the capabilities and what he thought was best for what we need to accomplish. Garret knows his stuff and he helped us out tremendously! Wonderful experience!

Mike McCary: This place is close to my house when I need to rent something this where I go. I also fill my propane tanks here, they charge for the amount they fill so you can bring you tank and top it off. It feels like they fill it more than the exchange locations because the tank feels heavier the the exchange tanks.

Michael Brown: As a company, REI should not inflict their political beliefs onto customers. That said, they carry good gear and this particular location is fantastic. Every time I have come here they have exactly what I need. The staff are friendly and helpful and generally knowledgeable. I don’t know who makes REI branded clothes and gear, but they do a good job.

Mike R: I like this store for so many reasons. First: they have excellent customer service. Today I walked in with my bike to get my flat tire fixed. A woman approached me and signed me in. Then a man walked up to me and asked if I would like to him to park my bike. I was appalled by this gesture. Second: This establishment has everything here. I mean like… leave that bike area if you want to. You will be buying anything from energy gel to underwear. Third: conveniently located right beside the metro.

High five to Micah in footwear who helped me find a size in a scarpa I haven’t been able to find in stores in 4 years. He’s super knowledgeable and was connecting with all the customers. Patrick F.: The 2 stars is not for the products, it's for the lack of service. Lord forbid you need some help. I waited forever even after pushing this button (photo) and a guy that was helping someone else acknowledged they heard me and would be coming. Still waiting as I type this. FYI, I have purched thousands from this store....sigh!!

Andrea Wu: I came here to pick up my shoes that I ordered online, and after trying them out in nature, they were too big so I came back to return and get new ones. The staff helping me was very helpful, bringing me different shoes for me to try on. I finally got a pair that fit properly, and checkout was pretty speedy too. Parking on the street might be a bit tough, but it's not too bad!

H Gill: Great store! love REI… but checking out here is always a 15 min wait. The checkout line moves at a snail’s pace, and the managers/supervisors don’t seem to care. I’ve seen customers put items down and leave out of frustration.

Rebecca Tolbert: Generally a good store, but the parking situation is currently very weird. You park in the parking deck and then have to walk all the way around a whole city block because they have blocked off the elevator and stairs. So, you drive into the parking deck and then have this surprise journey ahead of you, through a sketchy alley and everything. Just wanted to give other customers a heads up!

Ben Layton: Bike shop effectively closes at 6:30, not 7:00, since you have to get on a wait-list to get the bike checked in and the wait-list closes at 6:30. Called in advance and told them when I'd get there and they didn't mention that, so came all the way here for nothing. Turnaround on basic repairs also 9-10 days rn, which is honestly nuts.

R: Oddly enough they aren’t dog friendly yet I saw a pitbull walking around without a service vest. The area around is horrendous, good luck finding a parking spot. Really disappointed that REIs aren’t dog friendly yet their competitors REI and Bass Pro is.

Bogi Yohannes: Many thanks to Tim in the bike repair department for excellent work fixing my brake line and coming up with an alternate way to fix my broken basket being held by zip ties.Tim took the time to really give great customer service and make it an amazing experience.Thank you Tim and REI for the best bike department.You guys rock to keep us rolling.

David Norman: I would never rent from here. I was looking to rent a mini excavator and calling around to get prices from everyone in the area. The united rental person that answered the phone was Anthony was definitely the rudest person i talked to all day also they are about 100 dollars more a day then there competitors. So thanks to Anthony you lost my business.
