Taylor Schena: The staff here are fantastic. When moving in, the gentleman at the desk stayed late to help me access my unit as it was still locked. He was incredibly friendly and helpful. It's easy to get in and out of the facility. The place must be regularly monitored as I got a text not long after moving out asking if I moved out and if not to call them. While I had never worried about the security while I was a customer, that text message made me feel confident if I decide to store with this company again in the future. The only downside is that I wish customers had 24hr access, especially since a code is required to enter it just makes sense to me.

Allison Bain: The customer service from the Extra Storage Space on U St has been great. I moved into extra storage space about two years ago. While moving in, I realized my unit was too small to accommodate the items I was storing. The manager was amazing and got me into a larger unit right away. I no longer need a storage unit, but I’m grateful I had a safe place to store my belongings.

carol: I was a customer of Extra Space Storage for several years after sustaining significant trauma. I lived outside on the streets of DC and now in a vehicle traveling. I was not ready to get rid of all my belongings until recently. Extra Space (U St, NW DC) provided a secure and clean environment to store items I cared about. The staff were professional and courteous. The manager and assistant manager worked with me to close out my storage unit remotely with dignity. I am grateful and highly recommend this storage site. If in a position to store items in the DC area again, I would choose Extra Space U St, NW.

Niyah News: I’ve had a storage here for almost two years and I haven’t had any problems. I recently moved my things out and Tiffany was such a great help. She even reached out to me to make sure that I understood the smoothest and most affordable way to move out. Shanise Taylor: Went to this location a couple days ago & knew exactly what I needed. Well at least that’s what I thought. tina white: This is by far the best storage facility I have been too. The Staff are extremely helpful and patient with all of my question. The facility was clean even the bathroom. Meghan Murphy: Taiya is awesome and extremely helpful it was a delight to talk with her. This is a great location with good access. I have a small locker and it has been an immense help to continuing my home lifestyle by removing some of the clutter of things I do not want to get rid of but also do not want taking up valuable apartment space such as my holiday supplies and other items I intend to use in my future home. Also it gives me that extra edge if I see some piece of furniture to restore that I dont currently have time for. I know I can get it and store it away until I have time or space to deal with it. Really how could anyone go wrong with using this place.

Daniel Vogel: Very positive overall experience. Mohammad was personable, respectful and helpful. My one piece of feedback for the facility is that they need more dollies. On a busy Saturday, we had to wait to use one of the two dollies/carts that were available.

Probably one of the nicest customer service I’ve gotten at any business. Aisha Hassan: I rented multiple units for my school, we needed short term storage for furniture and other school supplies. When I visited and explained our situation and the type of access we needed Extra Space staff gave me a few options and we quickly rented 7 10'x15' units. We were able to get units that were adjacent to each other and all on the same floor. - The loading area was large enough for the two professional moving trucks to easily load and unload. - We had easy zccess with the keyless gate code - I forgot my keys once and staff were able to remove the lock and provide a new lock for me. - Small parking lot but there were always multiple spaces available when I was on site. - Facility was clean and staff were super helpful!

Debra Jenkins: The first thing I noticed was how clean and modern the facility looked. It does not look like a storage space but more like a modern office or apartment building. Once inside I was amazed at how spotless everything is. And the staff goes above and beyond their required responsibilities. Donald stopped by on his day off and he took the time to help me lease a space. Keion wasn't even helping me and he took me on an extensive tour of the facility. They check locks every week for tampering and do a sweep of the building to make sure nothing has been compromised daily. They have call buttons on every level to ensure that they can assist you if needed. There are multiple elevators and the loading dock is large and can accommodate more than one move in at a time. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with my choice since I made it over the internet site unseen, Speaking of which, they offer internet specials with reduced rental rates on occasion.

Facility was clean and staff was responsive during my holiday-weekend move in. Also, this facility has one of the larger garages I found in the area. Our 20 foot Uhaul fit well.

Amanda Ham: I used this storage center for over a year and it met my needs until the prices started to go up almost double throughout the year. Overall the location was convenient for me and I was able to safely keep my items stored there until I removed them. The call buttons throughout the storage center need to be fixed, but I can’t thank Dee enough for her amazing customer service, if there is every an issue she’s prompt to respond and has great patience. You can tell she actually appreciates having customers.

Elona Evans-McNeill: Mr Foster is a credit to your company, your customer training and your business culture. Totally professional, friendly and quite accommodating. craig setlow: Honest, easy, clean, and helpful is what you will get from 6011 Blair rd Extra Storage Space. If you ask for Dee she will make sure you are taken care of. Ramatu Kandakai: I used extra space storage for 4 months from June-Oct 2021. It was super easy to get a unit online with a lock. Payments were super easy and access to my unit was a breeze. My move in and move out ran smoothly and all my items were in amazing condition. I didnt even use the temp controlled pod. I also like that the storage units were super big so a 5×5×10 for a good price.

Ivan Brown: Walking into the office I felt welcomed, Dee approached me with the happiest spirt. Having the answers to all of my questions made me feel even better about this storage. I was only looking around for pricing, i went to 3 different locations and this was the best location I have been to thus far. Andy Leddy: The staff is always super helpful and accommodating. I've used two other storage facilities in the past 6 years and this location is by far the best. Facility is always clean (that includes restrooms) and there are plenty of large wheeled carts. It's a solid operation and I very much appreciate their professional demeanor.

Enrique Caceres: Worse experience. I rented a locker a paid on a Saturday, moved Sunday and showed up with a truck full of stuff. The code didn’t work, no one was able to assist, the 800 number Dustin have anyone there, the office was closed. I was left with a truck full of stuff and had to extend the truck rental and unload back at another apartment. I reached out repeatedly and got nowhere. I called today and finally got a rude employee that tried telling me I was doing the code wrong. I rented another truck and after ensuring someone was there made a second attempt. This time the code worked. I’m out hundreds of dollars due to the delay, go somewhere else!!

Al Lewis: Everything went okay until I drove out and noticed the right outside mirror of the 15 ft truck was very loose and couldn't be properly adjusted. I returned and they fixed it on the spot. I drove the truck at very moderate speeds, did a simple storage unit move. Only drove a total of 16 miles, put $15. of gas in there to bring the level back to where it was when I got the truck. Upon viewing my emailed receipt I saw that they charged me a $39.15 re-fueling fee (6 gals.)!!! What???!!! I'm going back for my refund, and pursue possible legal remedies! This is unfair, and really theft on consumers!!!

Ted Hill: The truck was not clean or well-maintained, then I was overbilled by $175. After a long time on the phone with customer service they sort of resolved the problem, but I was still overbilled by $30.

Caleb Darger: I got a call the day before telling me that the truck I rented would be at a different location (10 minutes away, so not a huge deal). I showed up to the new location and they told me the truck was actually at the original location that I had specified, but the trailer that I rented was at the current location, and I would need to personally go pick up the truck at the original location only to bring it back and pick up the trailer. The staff at both locations were not helpful and unfriendly. Overall just a terrible experience.

Eddie Pruette: I had an excellent experience here. A representative, probably a manager, at this location, really helped me through a problem caused by my own mistake. The van I rented was in great shape. I would recommend this location to anyone. The after hours return process had a lot of steps, but it was pretty easy and straightforward.

Tyler Ashlin: Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They got me everything I needed in a timely fashion and answered all my questions!

David Stiles: U-Haul tried to make this as easy as possible. Driving this truck 1300 miles was very difficult. If my son moves again, he can use a moving company.

Ashley Stewart: It was very quick and easy! I decided to go on a whim, and was excited to be driving away in my rental truck within ~20 minutes. Staff were friendly and helpful. I liked that I was able to complete the return process on my phone, and the location was convenient for me.

Ray daSilva: Equipment rental process and cargo van were fine. The automated part of the process worked fairly well. What marred the entire experience was the attitude of the customer service agent at the desk at this location. She was aggressive, arrogant and dismissive of the customer for no reason at all. I understand that such an attitude may get built up over a period of time working in such a position but it has no place when you are working in a customer service position. Her attitude tarnished the U-Haul brand and soured what might otherwise have been a good experience. I know that workforce issues are affected by the pandemic and labor shortages but there is no excuse for such behavior toward customers. No, I will not return to this location. I will not recommend this location.

Aileen: I made an online reservation, unfortunately I arrived and I couldn't pick up the car, they hadn't left the keys

Cassidy Martin: Do not trust or rely on this location. Literally will do everything possible to avoid using U-Haul again after this experience. Scheduled a 6am self-service pick-up and because no one prepared our truck the night prior, when I arrived at 5:50am and tried to complete the mobile check-in process, it came up with a screen saying I would have to wait until 7am for someone to arrive to hand off the vehicle. Had to call customer service and Uber to the nearest location on 5th where the equipment I payed for wasn’t in the truck that I would be using and the access code to my vehicle key lock wouldn’t work. The only reason everything went OK was because an employee arrived early and was able to get our key for us and our equipment. Thx for nothing

Super quick and easy, but she still had time to give me information and tips about the app and that will make gaining access even easier. Secure and clean as well.

Patty M: A friend who passed recently has a unit here. As her executor I needed help and direction on how to access the unit. Donna was amazing. She helped me through the process and told me what needed to be done. Luckily I located the key (after Donna told me what to look for). She and her associate were so pleasant and knowledgeable. During a difficult time I really appreciated the kindness and understanding they showed.

Alexis Payne: I used Public Storage for 4 months this year in 2 units. From the move-in to move-out, it was flawless. Carla and Donna were so helpful and patient with me as I navigated my moves and any visits I had while my things were there. I would highly recommend the space.

Mike P: So glad to have finally moved out. Let me start with the good things though... Place seems very clean and renewed. The access system seems to work well too and there's parking inside making a city location very convenient. Prices weren't too crazy when I signed up a few months ago, but it seems summer pricing is at least a third or more higher now. Now for the bad and really the only reason for docking two stars and reason for my move out, because honestly I could've still used the unit despite my move. Carla, one of the employees drove me out with her attitude. She acts like the place is a military base and becomes so rude once you've signed up (happy friendly sales face though when you move in). She would constantly hover over me during my move in barking commands at me. Don't do this, don't do that. You need to be out of here in ten minutes. You have two minutes and now the gate probably won't open for you. You're going to get a letter from corporate (all for leaving a few minutes late, which was my fault yes, but c'mon where's being nice and having good customer respect). I visited again numerous times and would do everything I knew to be in compliance with her rule book. A glass dropped out of my unit and shattered. I could've just left it, but no, I cleaned it up as I should. I saw a trash can on the first level so I dropped it in there. There comes Carla from behind the closed door, yelling at me that it's not a trash can. I was confused, but then asked what I should've done with the glass. She then changed gears to tell me it's not for customer trash specifically, so maybe broken glass I'm just supposed to leave on the ground because I'm not going to put it loose in my car? Either way, the interaction was not pleasant, especially when she decided to come back after me to submit a report on my trash disposal to corporate. I've never seen anyone so adamant to tarnish a customer. I honestly then grew a fear of ever returning because I didn't want to be "written up" with corporate for rules I wasn't even aware of. One last example of where this came up again was move out day with my movers. When I moved in, I was told to park on the street to load in and to load in across the sidewalk... To hold the gate open with a box or blanket to block the sensor. But move out day, when I did this, suddenly that's no longer allowed and that I should use the loading doors... Which were broken for quite some time. Just tell me what to do right before, rather than yelling at me everytime I'm there. So many of the interactions were conflicting information from the last visits. So I couldn't wait to move out. And normally I hold my unit for bit after a move while I get situated. Not this time. I couldn't wait to remove everything I had and that's just what I did. When I came back for the inspection, Donna was the one who helped me. She was so pleasant and easy to work with. No hassle, no complaints, and a nice welcome to come back again. But sadly I won't due to the experience I had. It's a shame because the place is actually pretty nice as I mentioned earlier. Hoping Carla can learn better customer service skills. I am also docking one additional star for their hours. It makes it hard to access other than a weekend since it's regular work hours. My past units were open until 9pm.

Ethan Craig: Their motto is, “We treat YOUR stuff like OUR stuff!”, which is honestly pretty accurate in that they don’t really care if you have access to your things or not. They close at 6pm on weekdays, so prepare in advance to take a day off of work to access your unit during the week as you can not be there after 5:59pm. Your other option is to use one of your weekend days, but beware they close at 5pm on weekends and will aggressively rush you out of the building at 4:59pm. Additionally, they also sometimes close at random hours throughout the day, only to reopen and a random time later in the day, or sometimes not at all. Staff are nice enough I guess, but let’s be honest, there isn’t usually much staff interaction at a storage facility. All that said, if you don’t mind your stuff literally being treated like not your stuff anymore not a bad storage place. I guess it works for those that almost never need access.

Marc Tags: Secure Self Storage could not have served me any better than it did. Admittedly, I selected Secure Self Storage on Blair Road NW for its proximity to my condo. While I knew it would be convenient, I had no idea it would be as pleasant as an experience as it was. From my first inquiry by phone, the property manager, Shaye, earned my trust and business. She was pleasant, knowledgable, and able to answer all my questions and address my concerns. I signed a contract on-the-spot because of her. And, every visit to the storage unit, I made it my business to say hello to her because she was such a good representative for the company. I rented a 10x10 unit for 3 months - it was dry, climate-controlled (as advertised), and clean when I took it on...as were elevators, walkways, and hallways. The hours of service were lengthy and appropriate. Also, Secure Self Storage was extremely affordable, even with the larger units. Highly recommend this company and this location. If I ever need storage - short- or long-term, they won my business. I'll miss my new friend Shaye! :D

Clip Dozen: Arianna is a manager over the NE DC location. I had a situation which required immediate attention. She was extremely professional and I knew almost immediately that she would be the one I brought my case to. ExtraSpace better keep an eye out… I’m pretty sure any company would love to have staff like this running their departments. 5 stars to you young lady! Whenever I needed help with spaces or trash removal or upgrades. I just wanted to give a sincere shout out to the front desk woman Tiffany at my storage facility because she's all of that!!! It is such a blessing to have such customer support and professionalism . I have had things stolen from Public Storage in Silver Spring and when I first moved in she gave me a thorough tour of the facility and each level of security in the building. I also feel safe there because she keeps a watchful eye out for the customers and belongings. Anyway, enough of this. I rarely write reviews but I have to drop a note here. Much love! Kat Palomo-Bursick: It was a pleasant surprise my storage unit rental experience at Life Storage in Alexandria. The manager, Alphonso, was kind and professional. He takes great pride on his job and his facility. He made my rental process fun and stress free, as I was given all necessary information. The facility in brand new ( opened in December 2020), it provides climate control, bathroom accessibility, plenty of parking, smells and looks nice and clean.

Joe Dannenfelser: Showed up at 3 pm with a uhaul full of stuff and movers I’d hired to assist me. I had called the day before and was assured someone at this location would be available till 6 to get me situated with the storage unit I reserved, but no one was home. Drove to the nearby life storage facility up the street who were helpful in getting ahold of someone to find out that the office employee at this location had in fact left for the day and was not returning. Had to contact Extra Space storage up the street who were luckily in same price range and were able to help me out of the bad situation. I would highly recommend Extra Space instead.

Cameron Foster: Buyer beware that the rates they use to get you in the door are only a fraction of what they will be charging you within a few months of moving in. I rented a 10x10 unit and within 12 months they increased my rate from $108 to $180 a month. Current market price for an identical unit in the same building is $105. Would not recommend as any sort of medium or long term solution.

Hayley Bell: Public Storage was easy to set up and the staff was so helpful in getting me what I needed promptly and with exceptional skill. Angel was incredibly attentive and went out of her way to make sure my experience was incredible! Highly recommend.

Fasting for weight loss over 50 With Dionne: Before coming to extra space storage I visit a few others in the area. The price was not the cheapest but the customer service and the cleanliness of the establishment sold me. As soon as I walked in the store we were greeted. All our questions was answered and options were given. Desmond was assume he was friendly helpful and went beyond service. Also the young lady that was training him was great. I look forward to going there just to say hi to the awesome staff.

Greg D: This is the BEST U-Haul location by far! I’ve used this location multiple times the past couple of years- rented trucks, bought storage boxes etc. The staff is always super friendly. Tons of moving supplies always in stock and HALF the price of supplies as at Public Storage down the street.

Jon Varian: Never reserve anything from this location. I reserved a trailer here and when I went to pick it up they said the reservation was at a different location. No email, no notification that my reservation had moved. Staff was rude and didn't care that I now had to drive 30 minutes across DC in rush hour traffic to pick up a trailer that I had a reservation for here - this caused me to miss the time I had reserved for my loading dock and, in general, ruining my entire move. The other location said this happens all the time, yet u-haul doesn't seem to care enough to fix there system or treat their customers right. Will not be going here and I recommend you look elsewhere too.

Samantha Boehm: My husband and I were supposed to get a uhaul around alexandria but the location got switched to here.. I proceeded to ask if I had to pay more because of the location switch and I did, which doesn’t make any sense to me because there are multiple pick up locations around alexandria or somewhere closer than DC.. so I had to pay extra for the miles and to rent it. On top of that they ended up charging more than what was paid when it was picked up and an extra charge fee even though the gas was filled to the exact spot as we got it. This place is ridiculous and obviously is just money hungry. Try ur best to stay away!!

B linkman987: This location is Infinitely better than the Public storage nearby. This place is open later, has two loading docks that are covered, huge elevators, and has bigger units available.

Monique Monique: Moving last minute and called about 4-5 times. Each time, Roanita Morgan answered and was very patient and professional. She even scheduled my pick up. I really appreciate her taking the time and because of her, we went with this particular UHAUL!

Kacee Benton: I’ve had a unit (at one time 2 units) here since 2005. The facility is clean and secure. The staff is nice and helpful. The only complaint that I have is the price going up every year. My rate has doubled since I first got here. I don’t see a reason for the annual increase. I’m lacking storage at home, which is the only reason I’ve remained all of there years.

Rev. Dr. Patricia Johnson Dowtin: I absolutely must give the Manager Mr. Anton at the Fort Washington, MD location on Livingston Road a 5 STAR rating because he earned it!!! He always provided excellent service from the date I moved my items into Extra Space Storage. The first day I moved in he provided a cart at the door for my use. My space was clean and easy to get to. He also took time to explain any thing I had any questions about. I was a customer for approximately 1 1/2 - 2 years. I believe it was either the first time, or the second time I put items into my storage space, I locked my purse, cell phone, and car keys into my car. OH NO!!! I hurried up to the office before Mr. Anton was gone. He called my daughter for me when I explained what I had done. I knew it would be getting dark soon, and I did not want to sit at the storage place all alone in the dark waiting for AAA. I have been with AAA for 48 years, and I knew I could count on them to help me but I did not know what time they would arrive because it was a Friday evening. I also knew Mr. Anton was suppose to be leaving his job by a certain time as well. My daughter did not answer her cell phone. Mr. Anton called AAA for me as well. I felt so bad about delaying him, he had worked all day and I was certain he wanted to go home. He was so kind. He said no Ms. Dowtin I am not leaving you here alone waiting in the dark. He allowed me to sit safely in the office with him until AAA arrived, unlocked my vehicle, and the AAA driver and I both exited that inside gate together. Mr. Anton was such a blessing!!! I went back into the office and thanked him again for his kindness and all of his help. He was still there after I drove off of the property!!! Again, thank you so much Mr. Anton! I had nothing but an excellent 5 STAR experience at Extra Space Storage, from the first day, until my last day, of renting a space there, because of one staff member, Mr. Anton!!!

Chaz Mason: It is almost impossible to make a payment at this location recently. The past 3 months when I have gone to make a payment, I have been told that "their Internet is down" and they cannot process a payment. This means you have to pay on their website, which charges you a fee for the "convenience"...that fee is a percentage of the monthly rent. For me, this "convenience fee" was over $7 today. I feel bad for the employees their as they generally seem to want to help, but trouble tickets that they escalate to corporate are ignored and not resolved. I'm going to look into Extra Storage and consider shifting my business there. They are conveniently less than a block away. Cubesmart on Upshur is going downhill fast.

Katie Bradwell: I have a unit for a long item (paddleboard) I own on the second floor, but it's extremely difficult to get it in and out due to the corridor being narrow. The board has been damaged due to this and I've almost been injured. I've asked for 5 months for a ground floor unit with better access but have just been told I'm added to the wait-list, no updates whatsoever.

Avram Reisman: The staff was very responsive to me and answered all questions with great availability. They also called me to confirm that I was ending my time at cubesmart without me needing to call them after they did a walkthrough one morning.

Tonya McCullough: The staff at this location is excellent! They (Albert, Jade, and Marco) were not only personable but were very professional when it came to helping me determine the unit size that would best accommodate my needs. The check-in process simple, and any time I had a questions regarding consolidating my units, they were able to provide cost effective recommendations. The office and main building where my unit was located were always clean and well lit.

shed Stewart: I am so pleased with the Upshur location team. Jade was super knowledgeable in my initial request for information and did a great job helping me find the cube space and size that was going to work for me. Her pleasant attitude and job knowledge is refreshing to see compared to other places in the industry that had a take or leave it attitude when selecting space, you won’t find that bad attitude here this team cares that you get what you need. Albert was also very helpful and friendly and went out of his way and coordinated with another manager to help me with the things that I needed. The last gentleman maybe named Mark I think, I can’t remember the name but he also helped me at this location and was super helpful and friendly as he assisted me with my pass code my first time. The crew is A1 and I will definitely recommend this location to my friends and family in the area. Keep up the good work. My only suggestion would be more parking for larger and more vehicles, but it’s the city so I understand. Again thanks again for everything.

Dan Schriever: Check in was so easy because of the level of service provided by the onsite staff. She Took the time to walk me around the facilities, showed me the unit, explained everything I needed to know. Also, on a handful of occasions when I needed to contact customer support, I was put in contact immediately every time with somebody who could solve my problem the first time. This was above my expectations.

Halil Atilgan: I had to move another place so i didnt have a need for the storage even though i had one week to start my move in date to storage they refused to refund my money. any professional company would give me my full refund, they charged me $200 for a storage i never used

Mary Raha: I had a unit here for more than four years. It is conveniently located and easy to access through the loading bays and multiple elevators. In particular, Chris was terrific, very helpful when I was moving in and still great when I was moving out. I have always felt confident about my ability to access my unit, and I think their communication has been very clear. Auto pay was easy to set up/maintain. I would've liked if the pricing had stayed low for longer, but I also could've changed to a smaller unit later, instead of just keeping the larger space for my own convenience. I've recommended it to at least four people who have gotten their own spaces and been happy with them as well.

Rube Hollis: I had items stored here for three years, convenient location and was able to walk over and grab items as needed. When my debit card expired I received a polite call and they updated my information rather than charge me a late fee. When I finally relocated due to work Desmond was extremely helpful when I had some logistic issues with my moving truck. Will definitely use this location again when I'm back in town.

Theodore Przybyla: I'll split this into two separate reviews. The R street location is great, easily accessible, never waited for parking or an elevator, and Desmond (GM) addressed my questions and concerns. Very happy on this front. I dinged a star because of the main customer service hotline. I spoke to them three times and was given an incorrect definition of month-to-month (it's one day before the date of the month you rented, i.e. you rent on the 15th, you have it until the 14th of the following month). There's so many CubeSmarts around, I'd advise you to just walk in and ask questions in person.

Thomas Woodruff: I have been renting a storage unit at CubeSmart Self Storage, 175 R Street, NE, Washington, DC 20002, for over eight (8) years. The General Manager, Desmond Macalino, and the other employees (Chris and Qui Ana) are very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. To improve security at the facility, it is recommended that security measures such as security cameras or robotics security be installed at or around each unit.

Tyler McMillan: Clean facility with convenient and secure access. Desmond and rest of staff are extremely helpful and go out of their way to ensure belongings and storage unit are safe/secure.

Peter Prina: The staff were very kind, they allowed me to not pay the month’s rent even though I was a day late moving out. The location was clean and easily accessible.

Jobi Magana: The two guys Chris and Desmond who work in the office helped me and my mom through the process of renting units together. Chelsea Spencer: I was referred to this facility by my aunt who also absolutely loves this place. The service I received was exceptional.. i didn’t get her name but I know she was the daughter of the General manager of the facility. She was so sweet, quick, efficient, and knowledgeable. The security of the place is very good. You have to put your code in several times to access the building and floors which I truly like and makes me feel more at peace about having my things there. I give this place 5 out of 5 stars and will refer anyone in this area who needs a storage unit to come here! Thank you for making my process a smooth one!

Nicol Valdez: Self Storage Plus is great! When I needed to keep my payment the same rate per month, I was able to negotiate with management to keep the same lowered monthly rate. When I needed help clearing out the remaining items of my storage unit, because I was not in the D.C. area, I was able to call and ask if they could help me arrange this; Shakeyta was great and able to donate my things quickly, so I wouldn't have to be charged the next month! Renee M Estill: I have dealt with 2 young Black American Ladies at the Kenilworth location! They are some very sweet, pleasant, patient, eager to assist, joyful, professional and beautiful young ladies. To deal with the public on a daily basis is not easy when you have a variety of unpleasant to pleasant people that you encounter. These young ladies have made my transitions as pleasant as they possibly could. They are professional and thoughtful on the phone as well as in person. If I had my own business, I would personally invite them to work for my establishment and pay them well because excellent customer service is extremely hard to come by anymore nowadays. Everyone is so quick to put employees down when they are the ones that are LOUD, UNRULY, OBNOXIOUS, and WRONG. I, on the other hand, am quick to appreciate the good before I criticize the bad. I usually don't express the bad to others, I point out the good! I would recommend THIS particular location to everyone I know that's needing a good and CLEAN establishment to store their precious belongings. Because of these two young women, I've decided to KEEP my precious belongings here! They deserve recognition and a pay raise! Give it to them!

Gary McNeil: This CubeSmart on NY Avenue could not be better, in my experience. I left all my stuff there for 11 months (so far), and when I returned everything was in perfect condition, no dust, no critters, no moisture or damage of any kind. Also, it's a very convenient location and the staff is friendly and always helpful. Reasonable rates, too.

Franks a mayor Velasquez: I had the most pleasant time ever with Jade and she was very helpful answering all my questions. I never thought I would need a storage unit, here I thought I can go through life not needing a big metal closet but here I am, looking for a storage unit. With an intense internet searching, I settle with CubeSmart due to the convenient location in DC, price, and over all the great customer service experience I had with Jade, she is a legend.

Courtney Hinton: The facility is conveniently located and priced around the same amount as other places. It's clean enough but the one star review is based on the unprofessional treatment I received from the manager, Shantell, of the store when I went to secure my storage rental on move in day. I had never experienced anything like this before in my life and had I not had a rented truck (with a deadline I couldn't extend) with my belongings already with me I would not have rented at this facility. For full disclosure, I did file a complaint with Cube Smart and the District Manager called me and apologized for my experience and said he would "address it with the manager of the store" and for me to call him should I have any additional issues. For the price and the plethora of other storage facilities available, I would not recommend this place because of the disrespect you may experience when trying to pay for your unit or resolve any other problems.

Marlo Johnson: The floor that my unit was on alwaysssss smelled like weed. It was so bad at one point that a few of my items smelled like it. My unit always had an excess of rat droppings in it. I wish I had taken a photo once I got my things out. Then, there’s always a random drunk or high person strolling the facility. Overall, it’s not safe. All of these were not worth the money of me keeping my items at this location.

Helene Brown: The lady yesterday was so helpful and accommodating she made a stressful day a lot easier. Also I enjoyed the cleanliness of the facility along with the music. It helps a lot to have background music while packing and moving.

Zenobia Hampton: Biggest drawback I discovered for storage is they fine you $250 if you dispose of things on their property.. Better idea to just charge a small fee that cover disposal costs but maybe they didn't think thru this thing from the consumer perspective or they just don't care.. Clean facility, but not enough dollys to move your stuff, easy to remove locks when keys lost, but I personally say if you can get around it storage isn't the best way to keep your things.. Almost cheaper to rent a studio apartment, pay a friend, or something at least they won't threaten to auction your things.. Overall if I wasn't shipping overseas I wouldn't have bought into this but I will never be so gullible again
