USDA Child Development Center: what do users think?

Victor Hugo: Have been very happy with the care and service they provide. While it is hard to get in, if you can it will be great. Parking could be better, but that isn't e timely the centers fault.

Young World Childcare Center: what do users think?

Stephen Thompson: Absolutely remarkable child care center! My daughter has been attending Young World Childcare Center for a year and she just loves it! The staff is phenomenal. They deeply care for the students. They provide a curriculum that prepares the children for school. The center provides an environment where my daughter has grown and is happy. The center follows all the rules and protocols required by the state. The center is clean. I emphatically recommend Young World Childcare Center!

Shelby Wease: We absolutely love Young World and all of the staff. Our daughter is in the 3 yr old class and is very attached to her teacher, Miss Tifa! At night when we sing songs she makes me sing goodnight song to Miss Tifa, this is how I know she is special and good to my child. Our daughter has 2 moms and we have always felt seen and accepted by the staff. They even pay attention to not send Father's day cards home. This shows attention to detail and that every kid isn't just pushed through the general assignment! Our daughter has gained knowledge and social skills, on track for being ready for school! Highly recommended!!!

Carlo Fernandez: We LOVEEE Young World! Our son was actually at a bigger brand children's center and it doesn't compare to the quality and service provided at Young World. Ms. Young and her team were welcoming from the first day and my son LOVES Ms. Lakisha. The time they take to educate the children and the atmosphere they provide is top notch! My son will be starting Pre-K3 in the fall and he already knows how to write his name. We anticipate sending my younger son here as soon as he is potty trained and definitely recommend this center to all families in the area.

loveandlight: My daughter has been attending Young World Childcare Center for about 4 years, she loves the staff and teachers here. They have been amazing over the years with the care of my daughter and any concerns I may have. I love the transparency, the photos in the school app, the way education is incorporated with their activities and the quick response and approach during these more recent difficult times.

Lanisha Sutton: We truly appreciate the Young World Staff! Especially Ms Tanya and Ms Kisha! My son has learned so much and blossomed over the time period of him starting at the center. Ms Kisha has assisted us in grooming him and preparing him for the next chapter of K4! We can’t thank them enough.

Charlene M: Positive: Professionalism, ValueAbsolutely love the director and staff at this daycare that both of my children attended for years. Clean, disinfected daily, handled the pandemic outstanding and kept my child safe. Daily updates and pictures and the location and hours of operation are perfect for working parents.

Maribel Kidder: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, ValueI wish I would’ve found this place sooner. Mrs. Tanya and her staff are absolutely amazing. I have a very vocal child and all she tells me are great things, she wakes up excited to go to ‘school’ every day. They also post pictures of my little one throughout the day which is a plus in my book. I highly recommend this day care center!

Beautiful Curly: If you are looking for childcare in this area you HAVE to visit Young World Childcare Center. My son is now 7 and has been going to this center since he was 4. My niece also went to this center for several years. You can always tell if your child is in a good place or not based on their happiness and willingness to come back each and every day. Even when my son was in grade school he kept asking when he would be able to go back to this center. All of the staff members are very nurturing and caring individuals. They take the time to ensure your child receives high quality education as well as social and play time. The owner Mrs. Young is very effective with her communication to parents, ensuring the safety of our children, and treating them like her own which is something I always look for in a childcare center. They go above and beyond for all of the children here. I can go on and on but they definitely deserve more than 5 stars!!! If you want your child in a safe and clean environment with trustworthy leadership and teachers pay them a visit.

Ni BB: This is the best daycare hands down! My son has been going here since he was 2. Believe me when I tell you if you ever looking and want your child to be cared for loved and protected and taught as if they were in your own care this is where you need to enroll you child(ren). They offer summer camp and after school care and what my son loves the most are the field trips it’s a fun and positive environment where your child learns and can be a kid. The owner Ms. Young is absolutely amazing she is kind and full of nothing but love. The staff is very sweet, organized, and attentive to each and every kid as I’ve seen nothing less of the pass 7yrs. I will forever recommend this location. Please check them out you guys.

Renee Davis: Positive: Professionalism, ResponsivenessMy grandson started just as the pandemic hit us and everyone was closing down. They accepted him and were more than on top of the safety precautions necessary. He loved going to school, loved his teachers and they did an awesome job getting him ready for kindergarten. He will definitely miss them.

Kids Are US Learning Center: what do users think?

Brittany Hunt: My name is Brittany Hunt, and I have a former student of Kids R Us Learning Center. His name is Christopher Jenkins-Greene, J.R., and he is turning 8 years old in April, this year. I am not too fancy of Kids R Us because they had an incident where a child's hair was pulled by a patch. It frightened me. Immediately, I wanted to transfer Christopher, because as a mother, I am concerned for Christopher's safety! What to do? Although, as agreed, Christopher was not transferred as both parents agreed to keep him in Kids R Us, the incident was concerning. Christopher graduated from Kids R Us, and is thriving in his new school, Hillcrest Heights Elementary School. As Christopher enters second grade, I would like to thank Kids R Us for housing Christopher as I worked at George Washington University Law School. Also, a concern of mine within Kids R Us, is, when I asked how was Christopher's day, to his teachers, they would always say, "He's okay." with no further words. Very upsetting as a mother! I don't like their kids bathroom! One of their kids took my son's Christmas present from his father, a mini Blaze truck!!! And Christopher told me, that he was teased, and sometimes, singled out by teachers! I am upset! Brittany Hunt

La Petite Academy of Washington: what do users think?

Muhammad Bilal Bawany: This daycare is a god send. We just enrolled our 2.5 year old daughter and regret not sending her earlier. The school sends lots of updates throughout the day on potty training, food and activities as well as photos. La Petite also offers classroom cameras for your child’s room, which - for nervous parents like us - helped us feel at ease since we could check in and see that she was having fun and participating in learning activities through the day. The teachers are great, the school is organized, super easy system, and has huge playgrounds which is a rarity in DC. Fully recommend, it’s a great place to send your kid.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to write us and for sharing your amazing feedback Muhammad.

Wendy Wang Pisa: Watching some of the streaming video from daycare over the two days we sent our 2.5 yo daughter there, we were very concerned to see conduct that was inconsistent with both OSSE health and safety guidelines and the center’s own stated policies, including a lax approach to masking and mixing of classes (at one point we saw nearly twenty children in a small space with roughly half not wearing a mask). We were also disappointed with the teachers' level of engagement with the children. As a new child in the class, our daughter was frequently left alone, receiving very little adult supervision or facilitation of play/ engagement with other children. Major red flags: * No masking almost every time we looked at the video streaming * Mixing of classes, amounting to nearly 20 children in a small space with most children unmasked * Nap time not set up to be sleep inducing, lights are kept on while other kids are running around or watching iPad or playing * Lack of teacher engagement and social facilitation * All free play time in the afternoon with no guided developmental activities * Kids watching iPad in a group, quite frankly we could do this at home * Management not responsive to our concerns in a prompt manner, showed no empathy
Response: Thank you for your feedback Wendy. We expect our team to be attentive and caring at all times, and we’re sorry to hear this has not been your experience. Your feedback is important to us and we have shared this experience with our local management team.

Bethany Rosera: Love the infant teachers, they are great with my daughter! Lots of updates for parents and very clean, best place! Updating now that it’s been 2 years, we are still there and my daughter has been through almost every classroom they offer. Great with COVID protocols, always responsive. Recently got a new playground and renovations. The staff has ALWAYS been great with my very anxious daughter, challenging her and supporting her along the way. She’s now 3 and starting to sound out words! Like any school there’s sometimes issues that come up, but if you communicate with the school everyone is responsive.
Response: Thank you so much for your kind words Bethany. We’re so grateful for the opportunity to help your children learn, grow, and explore the world around them!

Enrique Escalante: This place is a mess - do not consider sending your child here. About 4 years ago my wife was expecting so we set up a tour here. When we got to the center for our previously designated time, the director (who was supposed to give us the tour) had already left for the day and nobody had any record of our scheduled tour. Needless to say - we left and did not return. Fast forward to now - and my wife is expecting again. I had heard from a colleague that the place was better than our first experience...so we figured we'd give it another shot. I signed up for a virtual tour (that's all they're offering) about an hour before the previously designated time, they just sent me a new calendar invite for a different date/time. Nobody contacted me to apologize for the last minute cancel and to offer an explanation - or even to find out if the newly proposed time worked. Nothing. Complete lack of professionalism - avoid at all costs! Edit: Please see the response from the owner below. This is pure theater. I tried calling the number below on the day my appointment got cancelled and nobody answered. If they truly wanted to discuss this and wanted to make amends, they could call me directly rather than posting a trite statement just to save face on a public forum.
Response: Thank you for bringing this to our attention Enrique. We understand the importance of first impressions, and we're disappointed to hear that we made a poor first impression on you. We expect our team to be warm, welcoming, and professional in all interactions with families at all times. We are sorry to hear that you did not see this exhibited in your interactions with us. Please feel free to give us a call at 800-527-3848.

Conor O'Brien: Great school/daycare. They participate in the Childcare Aware Program that subsidizes Active Duty military childcare if care is unavailable on base, which was a huge help given the cost of care in the area. Professional, loving teachers and a safe environment. We will likely send our next child here too.
Response: Thank you Conor! We are so glad to hear about your great experience!

Melissa Marks: My son attended La Petite from the time he was 3 months until he was 3.5 yrs old. We had a wonderful experience. Any concerns we had were addressed quickly and thoroughly. The teachers all knew him by name (even the teachers from other classes) and it felt like a family atmosphere. I cried on his last day!! When he started PK3 this year he was fully prepared and on track with the rest of the children in language, math and social skills. We will be sending our second child there in the fall.

J S (Anonymous): RUN!!!! Do not bring your children here, this place is very unprofessional down to the teachers. They are overpriced and you’re not seeing exactly what the money is being put into. they provide breakfast, lunch, and 1 pm snack and also diapers, wipes, and sippy cups. But that still doesn’t scream 500+/week. The teachers are always on they’re phones and not paying any attention to the students. The management team don’t care about anyone but themselves. You bring something to their attention and they just sweep it under the rug. The classrooms are always left out of ratio, when you see the teachers they’re always looking overwhelmed or stressed and most days it’s only 9am smh. Something has to give with this place. This has been going on since my daughter (who is now 3) has been attending. I tried with my other daughter but it wasn’t a great turnout. My daughter was in the toddler department. The teachers who she was with can barely speak English so myself, my daughter, and the teachers had a hard time understanding each other. I just really wish the best for this location!
Response: We greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you have not been having a positive experience at your location. We are committed to providing a positive and safe environment. The concerns that you have mentioned involving staffing and ratios are ones that we take very seriously, and will be noted for further action.

Kassie Lord: We love La Petite. My daughter started when she was 4 months and is now 19 months. We’re moving out of the area unfortunately and will miss having her here. There have been many improvements over the last 2 years including a renovation and new playground. Staff are positive and responsive. Thank you!!
Response: Thank you for the great review Kassie! We’re so happy to hear you are loving your school!

Radha Rajkotia: We love La Petite. Our daughter has been there since she was eighteen months and has always loved it. The teachers are all so caring and committed to the children's emotional wellbeing, as well as development. The amenities are great and the easy access to lots of playgrounds and outdoor space is unusual for DC daycare facilities. It really is a great place. I highly recommend it.

E. G.: La Petite in DC is an excellent day care. Our son bonded with many of his teachers and was very well cared for. I always had great confidence that our son was in the best hands and was learning and growing a great deal while in La Petite's care. The Academy is very well run, pleasant and clean. The Director is a very caring and competent woman and we came to feel like La Petite was family. From experience, I can tell you that La Petite in DC is one of the very best. Very professional and personable place.

Kids Village Learning Center: what do users think?

sharee richardson: My 3 year old son has been going to Kid Village for almost 7 months now and we absolutely love it. They are very flexible and have great hours. I can see the growth and learning every day! The teachers are able to separate the younger and older toddlers so they get more 1 on 1 time and best of all, the children seem very happy there. I will note, my son had terrible separation anxiety when he first started going and was not great at taking naps, but the teachers were extremely patient with him! When I see my son interact with the other kids/“friends” as he calls them, they give him hugs whenever he comes and goes and love to share toys with him. My son has learned to count to ten in Spanish and has learned the primary colors in Spanish. The daycare is also great at keeping parents in the loop through the ‘Child Pilot App”, where parents receive updates on the curriculum, potty/diaper changes, when they have taken a nap and share pictures of their activities. It’s very nice to know that he is in a caring environment while he isn’t home. If you live in Shepherd Park or a nearby neighborhood, I would definitely recommend.

Woodbridge Day Care Center: what do users think?

fanta donzo: I would not recommend NOBODY to send there child to this center. Very unprofessional, not only that when I took my son out of this daycare they never took him out of the system. He was in there system for 3months after I had taken him out so they were still getting paid for him. During the summer there were supposed to be field trips on Fridays that was canceled so every Friday the children had no school but the school was still getting paid for this day. It was an big inconvenience for the parents because we have to work every Friday you can’t keep taking off for people who are supposed to be watching your child.

Gap Community Child Development Center: what do users think?

Layla Nicole: I love the teachers! And you can tell how much the teachers love the kids. They engage with the parents everyday (even during COVID when parents couldn’t go back to the classroom they would stop & talk to the parents about the baby’s day). They were always so excited to see the little ones at drop off and everyone came to say goodbye to the baby at pick up. The support staff is very friendly as well; it has that neighborhood family center feel which has been so comforting during this timeframe.
Response: Hi Layla Nicole! We truly appreciate you and your sincere 5-star review! We are so happy to hear your family has had an enjoyable experience at GAP! Our teachers and staff are the heart of what makes our center a family environment and a dedicated servant to the Ward 4/Petworth community for the past 40 years. Thank you for entrusting GAP with the care and development of your child, and thank you for taking the time to share your positive feedback!

Elena Gamez: The gap is truly a great place for your child. My daughter started at 6 weeks old, by far the earliest I have ever placed my child in daycare, so understand how new it was. They took her in with much love, respect and understanding of my situation which was very important. My daughter grew out of her baby months into her now toddler year with the great help of Ms. Kelly and Ms. Howi (sorry if i misspelled) . She absolutely loved walking through those doors, smiling and running into Ms. Kelly or Barbara's arms :) Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have told a lot of parents about The Gap and given my recommendations.

Caroline Portugal: My son has been at GAP for 2 years—during which he was loved and nurtured. I find this daycare to be a real gem in the neighborhood, with some real amazing women and teachers. I am grateful to them for all the care and attention they gave to my son: it's a pleasure to see his emotional development as a result of it.

Emily B.: Both my kids have attended this daycare since 2-3 months of age; both will likely be here through preschool. My spouse and I love it and can't imagine our little ones being anywhere else. The staff are caring and seem to be trained in the most current best practices. The administrations are friendly to and communicate well with the parents and also have caring relationships with the kids. This place comes highly recommended.

The C.H.I.L.D. Center: what do users think?

Alisha V.: My daughter has been going to this daycare for two years since she was only 6 months old. I looked at 13-15 daycares and this daycare stood out. The staff is nice, its clean, the kids are well taken care off, and I have a really great friendship with one of the teachers. She's like a mother figure to me. My daughter always runs to her since she was the first teacher she had as an infant. And still two years later the teacher is her favorite. Every day my daughter brings arts and crafts home that I get to put in her folder. She learns colors, letters and numbers. I couldn't be happier about this daycare. The director is always willing to work with you when it comes to payments. I wouldn't want my daughter anywhere else! I always recommend this daycare to other parents. I love it!

Ivelise De La Cruz: Despite all this negative stuff that happened a long time ago that these people wrote, this daycare is improved with everything since then. My son has been there since he was 11 months and he is 3 getting ready for Pre-Kindergarten. This daycare has help my son with his speech, listening skills, identifying his numbers, letters, and colors, which he has improved very well, and has help to get accepted to very good schools too. I would recommend that your children to come here because the teachers and manager do care about the kids well being, and to do their best to get ready for school.

deja little: I was recently employed there and had the hands on experience of the place. The head manager sucks because she fails to listen to reason and only believes her way is right. The building is crappy. Leaky roof, no handicap bathrooms, no security cameras so they are unaware of what could be going on. The break room is crappy, snacks for children are sometimes stale, no hand sanitizer anywhere in the building but what the kids parents have to bring. Like the place overall is damaged and in need of extra funds to make the place more appealing to others and better for employees.

Veronica Martinez: HORRIBLE! I wouldn't even give them one star... this Center stinks like mold. As soon as you go in, you can smell it. The Place is outdated. The staff seem nice but the Director or lady who takes care of the paper work there Ms. Oliver is nasty rude and unprofessional! As soon as she saw me she gave me a nasty attitude. If you treat the parents like this, imagine how they treat the kids!? The prices are reasonable but NOT worth it.

sassy Sullivan: I didn't even want to put a star daycare sucks in all categories for a daycare center the staff is unfriendly never smile mean and the director u cAnt talk to and I came in one day And a staff was pulling on a child the food is crAppy and the fruit and I was told it was catered from somewhere I couldn't even find the place on google my daughter came home with her bowels back up from the food all I can say is DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE. My child was out sick n she came back n all her supplies was used times I picked my child up with cold running down her nose crazy right well my daughter is in a better daycare now

Ana Guzman: I recently visited the Riggs rd location because the sign stated non traditional hours but it is only open until 6pm. the first thing I noticed was the stale smell of urine, i automatically decided my child would not attend there. i spoke with the director to see if she would tell me anything that would change my mind but she seemed uninterested in me so i will seek elsewhere. it stinks there really bad and the staff unfriendly, not worth it.

Olivier Ballou: My daughter has been there for a year and loves it. Staff is really experienced and kind. Director is professional and trustworthy. Facility looks a bit outdated but quality staff makes up for it.

Ashley Brown: Just recently pulled my child out. Had issues with director no soon as my son started. Very unfriendly environment walked in a couple times to staff yelling at the children wouldn't recommend any one to this facility.

Jorge Portillo: These people treat the children and infants really bad...do not put your child here!!! They are really aggressive with the children. The lady in charge bruced my 5 year old by grabbing and squeezing his arm...she is being sued for that...

Kids Come First Daycare: what do users think?

Jonelle Lewis: Where to start with this place. VERY unsanitary, I'd go put my son bottles in the fridge and they hard roaches on the INSIDE, YUCK. Son always came home sick. On top of that the staff was very unprofessional wore holely clothing an just looked nasty. Not to mention my son got bit in the face at 7month old. Meaning they were not even watching the children carefully. PLEASE DO NOT ENROLL YOUR CHILD HERE. By far the worst I had ever experienced

Jasmine Smith: Very unprofessional and ghetto environment. Classes look nothing like the picture. Director and teachers show favoritism to certain children. My son caught multiple infections.

Queen Gemini Monique Lucas: The enviroment as well as the comfortable feeling and vibe you get upon entering and conversing with the staff.

Elder’s Childcare Center: what do users think?

Letitia Brown: My niece has only been a student for a week in the older infant classroom, Her first time in childcare ever. She came home yesterday with buried arm as if she was pinch. The director or who ever was on the phone with my sister and I stated “she may have injured herself in the crib” and laughed about it. This is very serious situation for anyone to laugh about. Trust and believe she will NOT be returning.

Maelena Ingram-Williams: To say that Elders Childcare Center is GREAT is an understatement. THEY ARE AMAZING. My 2year son has only been there for 5months and I can see the joy and happiness every morning and evening, from the time I drop him off to the time I pick him up. The staff are Grade A and soooo sweet. It definitely feels like a family and I'm comfortable. Especially with this being my only baby I'm very pertective. He came from a home base center where he was not excelling to his full potential. Ever since Elders came in our lives I see a complete transformation. I say all the time "This was one of the best decisions Dad and I could have ever made for our young prince life". Their the best :)!!
Response: Thank you for your positive response. We look forward to serving the public in the most professional and diligent way possible...

J W: One, if not the best, childcare center in the Fort Washington area. I love the smiles on the employees faces when we first arrive in the morning and when we come back for pick up. Even the parents are super friendly. They are following state mandated safety protocols to a 'T' and what is even more impressive is they have adapted a pretty neat app to monitor your child while in their care. Everything they do with your child gets a report generated at the end of day. 5/5 would recommend 👌
Response: Thank you for your response. We definitely appreciate it!!!!

Chinwe Aldridge: My youngest just graduated from this preschool program after having been in their care since he was 6weeks old. They were flexible, patient, and supported his personal growth as well as our family. Their community environment was a joy to be a part of and I would recommend their services to any one who wants their child to have an academically enriching and fun environment. Best wishes to the Elders community.
Response: Thank you for your great response Mrs. Aldridge.

Nicole President: Elder’s Childcare is the best childcare center in Ft. Washington. My son has been here since 6 weeks and my daughter has been here since the age of 4. They are in elementary school now, the teachers there have help my children get ready for public school. Before they went to school they recognized all alphabets, number from 1-30, how to spell their name, and also some hand writing. The staff here is amazing and very welcoming.
Response: Thank you Ms. President, we really appreciate your review.

Crystal Mullins-Bolin: My husband and I are so grateful to have a company, and now a staff that are like family to us, to take GREAT care of our pride and joy. Our little one has been under Elder’s care since she was 4 months of age and she is now 4 years old. They have instilled so much knowledge into her that she is very intelligent and wise beyond her years. We as proud parents are so happy to be connected to this group of staff/family. Thanks Elder’s Childcare for being apart our little one’s village to help her be the BEST version of herself!
Response: Mr. and Mrs. Bolin, Thank you so much! It makes me and my staff feel great to know that you both feel that way! We greatly appreciate you bringing your child to our daycare center!

Lakeisha Adom: I drive by this center everyday and decided to pop in for a tour of the facility and the staff were amazing. The lady who did the tour was super friendly and answered all my questions. The young lady who helped me register was nice as well. She explained each of the forms and broke down the calendar to me. Super helpful. I even received an email after the tour, thanking me for stopping in. The daycare center was very clean and neat throughout the whole entire daycare. The center smelled cleaned lol. The center has a Well put together learning curriculum for toddlers. I observed during my tour teachers interacting with the kids, i got to observed a classroom where the teacher was teaching she had all the kids attention, I observed a classroom outside playing. The tour was amazing! I am very pleased and excited for my toddler to start at this center.
Response: Ms. Adom, Thank you for your compliment. We look forward to your toddler starting with us during the 2019-2020 school year.

Shantell Pookrum: I must say Elder's Childcare Center is one of the best Childcare Centers. They are loving towards the children and parents. If their is ever a concern they fix it right away. The staff is welcoming and always friendly. My child been attending Elder's Childcare since she was 6 weeks and she is now 4 years old. My daughter is very smart. She knows how to write her name, patterns, basic addition and so much more. I will definitely recommend Elder's Childcare Center.
Response: Thank you, Mrs. Pookrum

Kya Elder: I LOVE ELDER'S INC. i am a Pre K teachers at Elder's Inc. Ive been working at Elder's Inc for about 20 years. My daughter also attends Elder's Inc. she started when she was 6 weeks and is now in the 5th grade and cant imagine her in anyone else care! Ive enjoyed working with Team Elder's. ive learned so much from them through out the years working there. Elder's Inc. Offer so much training for the staff to help us grow and keep us educated with all the different training, which i really enjoy! Here at Elder's we are A Team, A Family! The care i see each teacher give the children is out of this world! We at Elder's Inc. have special bond with each child in the center. You will see my face and Elder's for many more years to come. :) Love, Kya
Response: Thank you, Ms. Kya

Franchita Lockwood: My son has been enrolled since he was 4 months old, he’s now 3.5. We love Elder’s!! They treat my son as if he’s family and he feels at home with the staff. In addition to loving up on my son, they teach him!! I’m an elementary school administrator, and I often find myself comparing what my son knows and is able to do with the 3-4 year olds at my school. He is excelling at “reading”, writing, counting, speaking, sorting , problem-solving, self-care, etc. and it’s due to the education he’s receiving at Elder’s. We’ve been pleased with his teachers and communicate with them regularly! We considered moving him to a private Christian pre-school in the area, but after visiting three we were convinced that he’d be better off with his Elder’s family until further notice! Shout out to Mrs. Jestine, Ms. Kya and Ms. Tashon for all their hard work and time spent with our son! We are forever grateful! -The Eborns
Response: Thank you Mrs. Lockwood!

Kids' Corner Day Care Center: what do users think?

Haik Gugarats: My son has been enrolled at Kids Corner since he was six months old, as soon as it reopened after the pandemic spring-summer 2020 shutdown. I cannot recommend it highly enough - the teachers are warm and caring and the administration has done everything to address the many challenges of providing for kids during the pandemic. My son loves going in every morning and learns a lot, and it's a wonderful place for infants and toddlers.

Victoria C: The teachers are warm and loving. The facility is stimulating, safe and clean and the administrative staff are helpful and kind. I’m so glad I found such a nice place, it really gives me peace of mind to know my baby is being so well cared for. I don’t have the ability to teach him a second language, so it’s really exciting to see him pick up words and sounds in Spanish.

Carolyn McCoy Zugaldia: Loving and bi -lingual. Professional and children are given a great education.

Ideal Child Care Development Center: what do users think?

Sheena Wadhawan: I had my daughter here from the time she was 1 to 2 years old after having a nanny share. We only left the center because we were re-locating to the west coast. It was like leaving family - the teachers gave Naya beautiful personalized gifts to remember them by. The teachers always treated Naya as a daughter. They are loving and caring, and the Director of the Center is absolutely lovely - she seeks feedback and will make the changes parents seek. In just the year I was there they added more meatless meals to accommodate parents' preferences, in particular a vegan family. They also made the milk organic. The Center is right next to the Petworth metro station. While it may not look fancy, the director and teachers are committed professionals. Most of the teachers have been with the center a very long time - a good sign to me that they were treated well and happy there. I also love that it is not a corporate-type of place, which means they will work with you and your family for your individual needs. They aren't unreasonably strict or rule-based. For example, if you miss breakfast because you arrive late, but your little one is hungry, the teachers are feeding them. I also found the price to be lower than market given that they provide diapers and meals.

Kunta Kinte 141: i went to this school around 2001-2003. i had a fun experience as a child growing up here.

Rainbow Child Care: what do users think?

N Tucker: They really care about the children as a whole. They teach the children all kinds of fun, educational things in addition to the Word of God.

M. Lowe: RCC is best childcare in town! It was recommended to me by several friends that are Early Childhood Development Educators so I did not bother looking anywhere else. After the tour, I knew this was the place I wanted my child to be. Fortunately, I do not have another childcare provider to compare it with. When surveying parents from my child's class, I was assured there is no need to look any where else. My oldest has been there three years and my toddler will join soon. As a working parent, I am happy to see my child happy every day. The staff is very professional and experienced as well. Check it out for yourself!

Sarah Simpkins: My Child has been going to rainbow since she was a toddler. I am very impressed with the staff and administration there. I know every place has some issues and you can not make everyone happy, but being a former preschool teacher in VA. I can say this place gets 5 stars. The property is well kept along with the cleanliness of the center. The director takes the time to speak with parents about concerns and most of the teachers are knowledgeable of what they are teaching your child to get them to the next level. The prices are fair and they do not nickle and dime you for fees. This is my daughter last year and I am very sad, but she will return to summer camp every year. Way to go Mrs. Kim and Maria on a JOB WELL DONE!

Lena Hernandez: We absolutely LOVE Rainbow Child Care in Ft. Washington. After having moved our daughter (who will be 3 in Aug) from Kiddie Academy in Oxon Hill, we kick ourselves every day for not having checked out Rainbow sooner. Our daughter's growth and demeanor is night and day now. She enjoys going to school, she loves her friends, and she loves her teachers. It is such a relief. I highly recommend you schedule your site visit today. Finding the right fit can feel overwhelming. Hang in there and best of luck.

Christian Dortch: I like this place because it is a clean and safe environment for the kids. For the parents they have parents night out.

Kisha DeSandies Lester: Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness
