• Transfers: Set up schedule for daily transfers to units and ensure timely deliveries; Ensure food is delivered at proper temperature; Set up requisition templates for all units to ensure proper product and pack sizes are being ordered; Communicate all vendor shortages/issues to management teams; Ensure transfers are booked correctly, so stores are charged only for what they receive
• Costs: Coordinate/Conduct weekly inventory; Analyze costs weekly and identify cost issues; Work with units to identify trends of high costs
• Management: Supervise a team of Warehouse workers; Adhere to both company policies and union regulations (where applicable); Ensure a safe work environment by identifying and correcting potential issues; Administer corrective action when needed according to company/union guidelines
• Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
• Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc.)

Job Overview
Supervises Warehouse shipping and receiving activities and associates for a specific shift/area to ensure functions are performed within Company and Distribution Center guidelines. Provides excellent customer service to stores serviced through accurate handling of the inbound and outbound products.
Here is some of what you will do:

The Requirements:
• Logistics/Transportation/Distribution/Warehouse or related experience required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics or a related area is accepted in lieu of required experience

The Role:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the hands-on supervision and coordination of warehouse activities by coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining an open dialogue with pickup and delivery teams, storing, maintaining inventory levels, ordering, supervising employees, and reporting any issues to management. • Serves as a champion for Northwest Center’s Big Blue Truck Safety Above All Culture and supports all related initiatives
• Supervising the functions and working of the warehouse associates. This is a hands-on position and will involve physical movement of product along with supervisory duties
• Delegating and assigning tasks, projects, and evaluating the working of the warehouse team
• Adhering to the compliance of all OSHA, DOT, and safety procedures
• Managing and proper reporting of all product inventory, supplies, and equipment
• Supervising proper shift allocations and ensuring work efficiencies of the warehouse team
• Organizing and conducting necessary training activities for the warehouse associates
• Ensuring the proper storage and functioning of all warehouse tools and equipment
• Provide daily clean-up of warehouse work areas to ensure a clean and safe warehouse environment
• Cross trains for opening/closing and dispatching roles
• Ensuring correct product is loaded, staged, and/or ready for delivery
• Operate equipment as necessary including up to 26’ straight truck

Qualifications:
• 4 year college degree in Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in warehousing.

• Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Considerable initiative and frequent analysis necessary in daily work.

• Ability to analyze cost performance data to improve operations and reduce costs.
