Sydney Sanderson: I bought my wedding dress from Lovely Bride DC back in February and my experience was nothing short of fabulous. On my first visit, I was by myself and Tabby helped me FaceTime my mom to share in the experience. Several dresses were pulled based on my choices made online, but a couple other dresses were pulled as we went along and Tabby honed in on what I was interested in. I loved the way they help you reach a decision, and everyone in the building was so supportive and kind - even if they were not directly helping me. A wonderful experience from start to finish and of course, a beautiful dress. Thank you!

Jennifer Freed: Elizabeth was amazing to work with and made my experience feel personal, special and so fun! She chose gowns I was obsessed with (that ended up being finalists) and immediately picked up on my style and the look I was going for. I honestly could not have had a better bridal shopping experience. Elizabeth is a gem and anyone would be so lucky to get to work with her! Lovely bride is also a beautiful space with gorgeous options .

Maddie: I went to 4 bridal studios before buying my dress and had the best experience at lovely bride!! Danielle was truly the best and so helpful. I was starting to get nervous and discouraged about my search for a dress but when i went to lovely bride i tried on about 4 dresses before i found the one, all of which i liked more than any dress i had tried up to that point. They definitely have the most unique selection of gowns specifically If you are looking for a more modern look that other stores just aren’t carrying yet. Cannot reccommend lovely bride enough!

Megan Cairns: I love carine’s! The dresses were beautiful and high end and the inventory was fantastic. I worked with Briana who was amazing! She instantly understood my style and pulled perfect dresses for me. She was sweet and accommodating. She worked with me for multiple appointments and never became impatient. I was able to really explore the different styles and figure out what I wanted. While I didn’t end up purchasing my wedding dress from Carine’s, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend.

Ilana Naidamast: Carine’s Bridal/Aisle is truly the Kleinfeld of the DMV. Carine is the fairy godmother of bridal gowns and while I didn’t find my dress here, she taught me SO much about what I want in a dress. Carine was extremely knowledgeable and put so much thought, effort, and time into my appointment. I felt like an absolute princess. We talked for about 5 minutes before shopping through the racks and she knew my style right away. I have tried on a lot of dresses, none of which came close to “the one” until I visited Carine’s. Lastly, my appointment was in person during COVID and the $45 cleaning fee was SO worth it. She takes the ultimate amount of caution to stay safe, clean, and social distance. Cannot recommend Carine’s enough. Everything about this store and the experience feels magical.

Dawensca Dorjuste: All I can say is… we need more businesses just like Diana’s Couture & Bridal. I haven’t received any customer service like this. As soon as I walked in…the energy and environment was so pleasing! I was searching for a last min measuring to be done, while other places required appt or just don’t provide that service. I was able to get fitted immediately. You won’t regret purchasing or doing your services here! Will come back to visit :)

Jill Bailey: Wow! Diana was amazing. I found a dress I loved, but the designer was out of business. I brought that photo and my re-design ideas to her and she helped me select the best fabric and custom designed my dress that was really a dream realized. It was so comfortable and so me. I had so many compliments. You need to trust her- she is decisive and gifted. I am very type A and organized, and Diana is artistic. Her ways may seem unconventional - but just let her do her thing, you will not be disappointed! I can not thank her enough!

Raquel Sorto-Robles: I found the one!!! After going to 3 other bridal shops, I found my dress at Ellie’s bridal. They have dresses for allll budgets and it’s a great experience! The moment you walk into this old town Alexandria store, you feel happy and excited to find the dress. I don’t know the name of who helped me, but this lady was great! She took her time with me and never rushed me and let me just have fun with the experience. I 10/10 recommend Ellie’s bridal to any bride!

Christina Castiglione: Hannah was amazing to work with! She was very knowledgeable about the dress styles, fabric, and customization options. It felt extra special being the only party in the store and it felt very intimate and personal. Definitely recommended adding this place to your wedding dress salon list!

My friends couldn’t help but mention how the experience there completely differed, in all the BEST ways, from our previous experience some where else. I am so happy MT was the last shop we visited — unknowingly saved the best for last! My experience didn’t feel rushed and Allie picked out the two dresses I absolutely fell in love with — you can tell that she not only has an eye for fashion but it also passionate about her profession! Clarissa: Modern Trousseau DC was extremely helpful with assisting me in finding my wedding dress! Jackie and Kelly were very nice and had great tips on how to style my dress for the big day. I not only felt comfortable and beautiful but like myself on my wedding which is what really mattered to me. They always started on time for every fitting and went above and beyond to help me find the perfect dress. They even helped me plan on how to get it overseas! Would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a wedding dress!

Samantha K: I’d love to give 5 stars! The staff were a dream to work with. They clipped and zipped me whenever I needed help. Reps emailed me a list of seamstress in the area, which was helpful too. The offer limited sizes to try on and like what another reviewer said the dresses are in poor condition but they were good enough to get an idea. I liked the dressing room size and setup. The reason why I am giving four stars is because of their lighting in the entire dressing room. The only lights that were helpful were in the fitting room but not where you walk out to show your friends what the dresses look like on you. That lighting was not great on me. My dress was shipped to the wrong address. I called and the rep said she fixed my address. Hopefully, the dress arrives. Mistakes happen. Parked in a lot for $12/day but there is a garage in the building that BHLDN is in.

Yasemina Julia Paraskeva: Recently scheduled an appointment to try on bridal gowns at Bhldn’s Gtown location. They had a broad variety of gowns and an ample fitting room. I received excellent service from Sloane - she was very thorough in explaining the ordering process and in helping me determine my size. She was very attentive. I highly recommend her when making bridal gown try-on appointments at Bhldn Georgetown!

Miriam White: A great selection of gowns for reasonable prices. They do a really good job of making sure you only look at sizes that work for you since it is sample sale only. Their seamstress is also amazing and does beautiful work to make your dress fantastic for your wedding day.

Alice H Abboud Chalhoub: Pamela and Connie are amazing! This was the first (and only) bridal store I visited and I highly recommend it. I was immediately greeted by Pamela and her staff making me feel very welcomed and excited about the experience. They helped me browse the many beautiful and affordable dresses they had. I appreciated Pamela’s honest opinion which helped me narrow down my many options. I bought my dress that day (in Jan 2021) and canceled all of my other bridal store appointments because I felt very happy with my dress and it was very convenient that Connie could do my alterations in June, which gave me plenty of time to be ready for my Aug 2021 wedding. I tried my dress yesterday, a week before my wedding, and it didn’t close right. I was freaking out and called Pamela, she told me to come when I was available and I did today. Connie and her showed my mother and I how to close it properly and it fit right, just like it did when she did the initial alterations which only took her two weeks. Thank you!!

sanam lodin: Let’s start off by saying everything happens for a reason! I had bought my original wedding dress from another shop in the area. Two weeks before my wedding day I had my final fitting. The seamstress did a horrible job fitting the dress to my body shape. She completely altered the style of my dress and it just didn’t look right on me. After google searching bridal shops in the area to find a dress in such a short timeframe, I found Pamela’s bridal shop and called her right away. I explained my situation to her & She scheduled an appointment for me the next day. She pulled out all the dresses for me and believe it or not she had the same exact wedding dress in stock and in my size!!! I couldn’t believe I came across the same wedding dress. It didn’t need much altering except for hemming which was done perfectly. Pamela even went out of her way to sell my original wedding dress for me in her shop. I can’t thank her enough for saving me from such a nightmare!

Brooke Miller: I cannot say enough wonderful things about Pamela and Say Yes for Less. I began my wedding dress search by going to all of the shops in DC and the suburbs, but was having a very hard time finding something that I truly loved in my budget (~$4k). A neighbor told me about SYFL and thank goodness she did! My experience with Pamela was refreshing. She was very honest, down to earth, and not pushy or overly sweet like some stylists at other shops had been. She has a great eye for what will fit your body (and budget) and it is clear that she has a ton of experience in the industry. The shop is meticulously clean and organized with large dressing rooms. Pamela has a large selection of beautiful veils and bridal jewelry as well. All of the dresses look brand new and have been professionally cleaned. There certainly is not patio furniture inside as another reviewer mentioned—there are adorable wrought iron tables and chairs for plenty of seating if friends or family come along. Since she sees customers by appointment only, I was always given complete and undivided attention. While the concept is designer dresses at a fraction of the price, I never once felt as if I was in a discount shop. I ended up purchasing a Vera Wang gown that still sells for full price! I also completed my alterations with Pamela and Connie, which was another great experience. Connie is skilled, professional, and completed all of my alterations with one visit. I have been raving about SYFL to everyone I know getting married and I can’t wait to wear my dress next month!

rachel robertello: I truly cannot put into words how grateful I am to have found my dress at such a wonderful shop where all the staff were so kind and helpful from looking for the dress to the final fitting. Being plus size, I was so nervous to even go dress shopping but they really made me feel like a bride and had more than enough styles for me to try on. Then when I became pregnant, they continued to work on my dress alterations to accommodate all my body changes along the way and my dress fit perfectly, the way I wanted it, on the wedding day. I had such a wonderful experience working with everyone in this bridal shop and really appreciate how kind everyone was. Jessica Taylor: Very late review, but I wanted to make sure I rave about the girl that helped me with my shopping and purchase! I had an appointment to look at bridal appointments back in July, 2021, and I was helped by Ayesha, the girl in the photo. She was so positive and uplifting and wanted to make sure I was truly happy with my choice! She was also very sweet and treated me and my sister and mother very kindly. She made the experience fun and exciting rather than daunting like I thought it would be. This was my first and last dress shopping appointment as she was able to help me find a beautiful dress and help make it affordable. I liked how the place scheduled appointments for COVID and was not crowded at all like the major chain bridal shops can be. My group had plenty of space and time for our appointment and did not feel rushed or uncomfortable at all. I did give 4 stars because we had to wait about 10-15 minutes past our appointment time outside in July. However, they didn’t rush us even with our appointment being at the end of the shop’s hours! Thank you so much Ayesha if you see this! My dress was so beautiful and you’re great! :D

Bola Adebesin: This was the first bridal shop I visited after getting engaged and I feel so lucky to have found it. Tracy was so efficient that it made dress shopping a breeze. As soon as I mentioned something that I liked about one dress, she was there, ready with another dress that had the feature I wanted but always a little closer to what I was looking for. She really knows her inventory inside and out. But beyond her knowledge base, she was just so incredibly warm and kind. If anyone asks me for recommendations, this is 100% where I will send them. My sister-in-law and mother-in-law to be were with me and they had nothing but great things to say about the service we received as well.

Katherine Skrzyniarz: My experience at I Do I Do was fabulous! Tracy was patient, knowledgeable, and kind. Prior the the appointment, Tracy texted me to see what styles I was interested in, and had an assortment of gowns ready to go right when I arrived. She also allowed my group to look through the entire inventory and pull any other dresses of interest. As this was one of my first times trying on bridal gowns, I did not feel pressured to make a decision on the spot, not did we feel rushed during the process. Prices are reasonable as well. Highly recommend!

Ashley Ortiz: I went to I Do I Do for my bridal gown and absolutely loved it. Tracy was super nice and patient during my two appointments with a fairly large entourage. The seamstress was absolutely amazing and basically reconstructed the top of my dress after I lost about ten pounds before my wedding. I also bought my veil and hair clip from there. It’s really a one stop shop. I’m in the process of consigning my dress with I Do I Do. The process is fairly easy, because I bought my dress from them they waived the admin fee. They try to sell the dress for 10 months with the possibility for extending a few more months after that point. Will update if/when I resell the dress. I would definitely shop at I Do I Do again!

Deb Stull: I am so happy I went with Love Couture. India nailed it when I sent her inspiration for the dress I as looking for. After going to other shops I came back and went with the very first dress I tried on. And I ended up staying under my budget and getting the perfect dress.

Kristy & Jack Roszel: The women at Swan Bridal are amazing! My sister had a dress emergency created by a less experienced shop. Not only did they offer her multiple alternatives to her original dress but they went above an beyond to help fix the original dress she loved. They not only fixed the issues but made the dress more perfect then we could even imagine. Thank you for saving the day with the wedding being only 2 weeks away. Swan Bridal has a beautiful selection of dresses but more importantly they represent everything a business should be putting the customer first event step of the way.

Heather Lockhart: This shop was the best dress shopping experience by far! I went to several shops prior to White Swan and then scheduled an hour appointment just to see if I had any interest in what they offered. The consultant had an idea of a couple dresses that would fit my preference within my budget. We started off in the clearance section (by my request) and found a few to show off to my closest relatives. My decision was tied between two of the most stunning lace dresses, I ended up running over my appointment by two hours! The owner, Mila, was so kind and allowed her consultant to continue to accommodate me. Then lo and behold I said yes to the dress!! Mila was so sweet to offer my family water and treats while they patiently waited. She also gave an unexpected discount to my hair piece and veil. I had a very specific idea of what I wanted my train to be shaped like and Mila gave me her honest opinion while still allowing an open mind. After I made my final decision, I sent the dress out for alterations (which came back right on time with more time to spare). I was very pleased with her knowledge and friendly relationship with clients. After my wedding I came back to get my dress preserved professionally. I had a few tears in my lace and stains at the base, which is pretty normal post-wedding. Mila reassuring that this was not a problem and will be fixed. The preservation of my dress came back like it had never been warn. I truly enjoyed my experience because of her and her team! I recommend this place to my friends, family and any future brides-to-be!

A&C Tuma: My wife and I both purchased our wedding dresses at White Swan. They were incredibly attentive and helped us pick out the perfect dresses to fit our very different styles. White Swan was incredibly flexible with our timelines and did a phenomenal job with all of the alterations. We can’t recommend White Swan enough!

Megan Guidi: White Swan Bridal is definitely a hidden gem! My photographer (Emily Alyssa Photography) recommended I try their shop after a series of striking out elsewhere and feeling a little defeated in my search. We had a 4-month turnaround time from engagement to wedding and I had been turned away consistently from other shops for the tight deadline (understandable, but discouraging nonetheless) WSB showed me a selection of dresses that would work within my timeline AND for a great price! I walked out the SAME DAY from their sample sale with a $500 gown that I loved more than even the $3000 gowns I had tried elsewhere! They also did my alterations in-house and did a wonderful job (added bones, some elastic, cups, and altered my veil to add a bustle). I had a great experience from start to finish and I’m looking forward to going back to them after the big day for cleaning and preservation. If you’re a bride feeling overwhelmed with the dress shopping experience, head to White Swan Bridal! They’ll make it fun, quick, and easy to find something you love. (I should also add, I came here completely alone to shop (my bridal party lived too far away to come with me) and the staff did a great job of offering supportive feedback throughout the shopping process!)

They were so laid back and only helped as much as you wanted. I was able to pick out dresses that I liked instead of them picking all the dresses for me. I was the only appointment that day so I could stay longer than my 90 minute appointment which was nice. I found my wedding dress for $400 which was a huge win in my opinion! Cadence Baugh: Going to Retulled was ABSOLUTELY the best decision for wedding dress shopping. Let me provide some backstory… My fiancé and I are having a very low-key and low-budget wedding. He is still in school and I am a young professional, so we don’t have a lot of money for a “normal-priced” wedding. I was budgeting $300 - $500 for a wedding dress. And let me just say, my first wedding dress experience left me in tears by the end of the day. I went to the Bridal Superstore and David’s Bridal in Indy. I was in shock to discover that the cheapest dress was $700!! I started to rethink whether or not I should even have a wedding because I could not even fathom how I could pay that kind of money - and for just a small part of the wedding at that! After doing lots of research online, I was starting to feel like I was going to have to pony out the big dough or get no dress at all… I found out about Retulled and thought I should give it a try. Everything about my experience at Retulled was perfect and even better than any experience I had at the big box wedding dress retailers! At the other places before, the dresses were not only expensive, but also very unflattering. I couldn’t believe my eyes when every single dress I tried on at Retulled was so lovely and flattering and completely in my price range! One gorgeous dress that was my favorite for a while was even lower than my price range. It got to a point where I was having a difficult time even deciding between four dresses! From start to finish, Amy and Ari were incredible. They are genuinely kindhearted ladies who were so patient with me. They listened to all of my ideas and offered their own suggestions. The dress I ended up deciding on was one Ari picked out specifically for me based on my body shape and preferences even though it was not one I would’ve picked out myself. I tried it on and fell in love with it immediately! Both Amy and Ari are so knowledgeable about what looks good. They clearly knew what looked good on me better than I knew myself! I was worried that I was becoming annoying because I was so indecisive that I had to try dresses on over and over again. They were never bothered for a second and patiently allowed me to process each dress thoroughly. The location itself was so lovely too. It is located in a little pink Victorian-style house that made you feel like you were in a luxury boutique. Every moment of this experience was magical and everything I ever could have wanted from such an important moment in my life!

Hilary Dreidame: This place is a gem! Vicki was wonderful in helping me try on wedding dresses and gave honest feedback when I asked for it. I went in alone but felt like I was shopping with family. She had beautiful things, and a great selection at reasonable prices. I definitely recommend checking them out.

Christian Nelson: Vicki was very helpful & got me into my dream dress within the first few I tried on! She was extremely accommodating with any mishaps that popped up as well, which I very much appreciated. With my last minute shopping, she was also very accommodating as far as my alterations as well! Not to mention my dress was new with tags, intricate & less than half the price you would pay at a big store. A must before you buy your dress!

Madison Stuhlreyer: A one stop shop for bridal accessories for those looking to not spend a fortune. When I started shopping for bridal accessories, I was immediately baffled at how much my dream wedding veil would cost me. The bridal boutique I was getting my dress from priced their cathedral length veils around $400-$450. I understand and respect the craftsmanship that goes into the creation, but I couldn’t wrap my head around spending that much on an accessory. Just when I thought I’d have to change my dream to something more budget-accommodating, I decided to check out Chaz Bridal. The shop’s owner, Vicki, was extremely friendly and helpful when my mom and I visited to browse her veil options. Vicki walked us through and educated us about different veil aspects and components, things I had never even considered. She guided us on choosing the right lace color and even different trim options she could provide for us. Not only does this boutique supply bridal accessories, but bridal jewelry, formal shoes and a large selection of consignment wedding dresses for a fraction of the price of retail. The owner even offers alterations as well. Overall, I absolutely loved my experience here and will definitely be recommending to those in the market for a bridal boutique that offers a personalized experience.

Vicki was kind enough to take me on as a client even though her schedule was completely booked for my wedding day. She did a great job on my alterations. My wedding day would not have been the same without her!
