Anna Mahr: I can’t say enough good things about my experience at LovelyBride in Georgetown!! Gorgeous shop, personalized, professional, and overall phenomenal experience. I was fortunate enough to have the owner Danielle as my consultant and I felt like she was able to read me so well and provided the experience my family really wanted that day. I went to another salon right after I left lovely bride and the dresses and service just didn’t even compare. I said yes to the dress immediately and cancelled all my future appointments, and I’m so so excited to be a lovely bride!!!
Sydney Sanderson: I bought my wedding dress from Lovely Bride DC back in February and my experience was nothing short of fabulous. On my first visit, I was by myself and Tabby helped me FaceTime my mom to share in the experience. Several dresses were pulled based on my choices made online, but a couple other dresses were pulled as we went along and Tabby honed in on what I was interested in. I loved the way they help you reach a decision, and everyone in the building was so supportive and kind - even if they were not directly helping me. A wonderful experience from start to finish and of course, a beautiful dress. Thank you!

I was starting to get nervous and discouraged about my search for a dress but when i went to lovely bride i tried on about 4 dresses before i found the one, all of which i liked more than any dress i had tried up to that point. They definitely have the most unique selection of gowns specifically If you are looking for a more modern look that other stores just aren’t carrying yet. Cannot reccommend lovely bride enough!

Marissa Metil: My experience at Carines was unforgettable! Bianca was my consultant and she was SO friendly and truly seemed so excited when I found my dress. When I went to pick it up from alterations a week before my wedding, she (who had not seen me since I picked my dress a year ago) was so excited to see me and was genuinely so happy for me! The team was great and the boutique was of course beautiful!
Megan Cairns: I love carine’s! The dresses were beautiful and high end and the inventory was fantastic. I worked with Briana who was amazing! She instantly understood my style and pulled perfect dresses for me. She was sweet and accommodating. She worked with me for multiple appointments and never became impatient. I was able to really explore the different styles and figure out what I wanted. While I didn’t end up purchasing my wedding dress from Carine’s, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend.
Ilana Naidamast: Carine’s Bridal/Aisle is truly the Kleinfeld of the DMV. Carine is the fairy godmother of bridal gowns and while I didn’t find my dress here, she taught me SO much about what I want in a dress. Carine was extremely knowledgeable and put so much thought, effort, and time into my appointment. I felt like an absolute princess. We talked for about 5 minutes before shopping through the racks and she knew my style right away. I have tried on a lot of dresses, none of which came close to “the one” until I visited Carine’s. Lastly, my appointment was in person during COVID and the $45 cleaning fee was SO worth it. She takes the ultimate amount of caution to stay safe, clean, and social distance. Cannot recommend Carine’s enough. Everything about this store and the experience feels magical.

Chelsea Quenum: I always envisioned myself wearing a vintage gown on my wedding day but was torn between having a traditional bridal experience where you go to a beautiful salon versus purchasing something online. Ultimately, I chose to wear vintage on my special day. I purchased a classic, vintage A-line wedding dress and excitedly brought it to Diana, after finding her online; she had stellar reviews! I was planning for a June wedding and wanted to remove the long sleeves from my dress. Apart from that, I didn’t plan to change the dress much. However, during my initial consultation, Diana recommended several other alterations that would improve the overall fit of my dress (she is really great at this!)…we decided to open the neckline to a bateau/boatneck, to accentuate my neckline and cheekbones and shorten the torso. Diana also let the dress out at the waistline, brought in the bust and straightened up the buttons on the back of my dress (if you look closely in the before photo, they aren’t straight). To do this, Diana had to remove each piece of beaded lace and then resew it. When I returned for my first fitting a few months later, I could hardly believe it was the same dress. Diana kindly allowed me to bring my family and friends. I had my “say yes to the dress” moment and cried when I tried it on. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Diana and she truly is the gown doctor, she made all my dress dreams come true and put up with the many crazy bride moments I had throughout the redesign process, assuring me how beautiful I’d look on my big day. About a month before my wedding, I started to worry about several small buttonholes from where the original buttons were -- they became more visible after cleaning, and I wanted to cover them up somehow. Although they were barely visible, I knew they were there…Diana took care of it for me. She took the time to find and dye lace that matched the front of my dress and used it to create a beautiful design for the back of my dress. She even added pearl beading and I was amazed at how well it matched the original lace. After about a year of working together, I could not have imagined a more fun experience and my dress was absolutely stunning. As we went through the process, Diana suggested a belt, which she made for me. She also made my veil – a cathedral style veil with satin trim and a blusher. Diana is an incredibly talented and highly knowledgeable seamstress. She has my HIGHEST recommendation!
Dawensca Dorjuste: All I can say is… we need more businesses just like Diana’s Couture & Bridal. I haven’t received any customer service like this. As soon as I walked in…the energy and environment was so pleasing! I was searching for a last min measuring to be done, while other places required appt or just don’t provide that service. I was able to get fitted immediately. You won’t regret purchasing or doing your services here! Will come back to visit :)
Jill Bailey: Wow! Diana was amazing. I found a dress I loved, but the designer was out of business. I brought that photo and my re-design ideas to her and she helped me select the best fabric and custom designed my dress that was really a dream realized. It was so comfortable and so me. I had so many compliments. You need to trust her- she is decisive and gifted. I am very type A and organized, and Diana is artistic. Her ways may seem unconventional - but just let her do her thing, you will not be disappointed! I can not thank her enough!

Rebecca Rzepkowski: This was my first time trying on wedding dresses and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. They were very understanding and accommodating when I had to reschedule my original appointment due to COVID. The consultant, Skye, was amazing! She helped me navigate through different styles, picked dresses in my price range, and was very knowledgeable about the dresses. She made us feel comfortable and welcome. I also found my dream dress here! Highly recommend!
Raquel Sorto-Robles: I found the one!!! After going to 3 other bridal shops, I found my dress at Ellie’s bridal. They have dresses for allll budgets and it’s a great experience! The moment you walk into this old town Alexandria store, you feel happy and excited to find the dress. I don’t know the name of who helped me, but this lady was great! She took her time with me and never rushed me and let me just have fun with the experience. I 10/10 recommend Ellie’s bridal to any bride!

Hannah Bowers: I was worried the initial dress I had picked before covid wasn’t the right one and ran into Modern Trousseau as I wanted a Grace Kelly custom dress and was told they could do that. Ended up deciding that day to go with them custom “making” me a dress. I had second thoughts that evening but was told when I called first thing the next morning that it would be too late to cancel. The dress arrived and was poorly made for me as their shop is in Connecticut and—in order to get the best fit—you really need to go to their main location. It is a good concept but the product is not truly bespoke or couture. After getting several opinions from family and friends, I did not/could not wear the dress. Lesson learned. They may be ok for the styles they already have but if you want bespoke, this is not the shop for you.
Erin Aucar: Modern Trousseau was our first salon appointment and it set the bar high. After we went to another a salon, we realized how helpful it was to have Sabrina ask the right questions and be perceptive enough to guide us towards decisions. As someone who can be indecisive and who loves dresses to begin with, I knew that I would have a hard time deciding, but we ended up going back to Modern Trousseau the same day and putting two dresses together to make the perfect dress. I am so excited!!! They have a lot of classic designs if that is what you are looking for.

Maggie Bowman-jones: We had an appointment scheduled for one of my bridesmaids on Friday- her flight was changed and we had to cancel and try moving to Saturday. Tiana was amazing and noted the new flight time and got us in for Saturday. God knows it’s hard to work in retail right now, but I’ve found the staff at all BHLDN Locations I’ve visited to be so kind and helpful- they truly do try their best to accommodate when they can. The studio upstairs in Georgetown is also so quiet and super private compared to other BHLDN locations which was also a plus.
Samantha K: I’d love to give 5 stars! The staff were a dream to work with. They clipped and zipped me whenever I needed help. Reps emailed me a list of seamstress in the area, which was helpful too. The offer limited sizes to try on and like what another reviewer said the dresses are in poor condition but they were good enough to get an idea. I liked the dressing room size and setup. The reason why I am giving four stars is because of their lighting in the entire dressing room. The only lights that were helpful were in the fitting room but not where you walk out to show your friends what the dresses look like on you. That lighting was not great on me. My dress was shipped to the wrong address. I called and the rep said she fixed my address. Hopefully, the dress arrives. Mistakes happen. Parked in a lot for $12/day but there is a garage in the building that BHLDN is in.
Courtney W: I came to BHLDN as a bridesmaid to try on dresses. Our consultant (do not know her name) was not good. She was not very friendly or helpful. We felt like we had to ask her to do things that she should’ve already been doing. She made a comment towards me that made me feel horrible about my size. She rushed the bride at the end of the appointment in a rude manner. The bride had come here before and had an opposite experience with another consultant, so i know they’re not all like this.
Yasemina Julia Paraskeva: Recently scheduled an appointment to try on bridal gowns at Bhldn’s Gtown location. They had a broad variety of gowns and an ample fitting room. I received excellent service from Sloane - she was very thorough in explaining the ordering process and in helping me determine my size. She was very attentive. I highly recommend her when making bridal gown try-on appointments at Bhldn Georgetown!
Joy Lyle: Stopped in the store last minute to look at the wedding dresses. The consultant Ellie was so kind and accommodating. Wonderful experience! 😊
Emily Dohogne: The sample dresses to try on are in rough shape - there was pilling, stains, and pulls on much of the dresses’ fabrics. They need to be replaced. It’s difficult to get a visual image of the gowns because of the state of their conditions. Overall, it was a good appointment. Our stylist was nice and helpful and honest, but again, the state of the dresses really brings down the experience and expectations of these thousand dollar dresses.

Samantha Stadler: Just had an appointment and it was less than an ideal situation. The staff and owner were fairly friendly and we were the only ones in the store so the experience felt very personalized. We were greeted right away by our consultant. She was pleasant but I was a bit surprised she didn’t want to see any inspiration photos and instead just said I could tell her what I liked. The appointment unfortunately only lasted about 30 minutes because of a pretty poor plus sized selection. Out of what looked like a fairly extensive collection in the store turned out to be only 1 rack of about 10 dresses. I guess this kind of explains why she didn’t need to see much inspiration. I am a street size 16/18. I was able to pull about 3 or 4 dresses and I fit pretty well but none of them were what I was looking for. The owner came with one more for me to try which was nice. I did like it more than I thought but it wasn’t the one. The consultant gave me a name of a plus sized store to try and told me to focus on finding places that would have my size. I appreciated all the help and the hospitality but I would have preferred to be given a heads up of the selection and maybe I would have gone somewhere else or at least gone in with an expectation.
Sharon Santiago: Wonderful bridal salon!!! Pamela is friendly, knowledgeable and values your time. Some bridal shops need to sell you a dress. Pamela creates the experience of Saying Yes to the Dress by listening to the bride and delivering an awesome bridal experience. Thank you Pamela, my daughter has her beautiful wedding gown.
Miriam White: A great selection of gowns for reasonable prices. They do a really good job of making sure you only look at sizes that work for you since it is sample sale only. Their seamstress is also amazing and does beautiful work to make your dress fantastic for your wedding day.
Alice H Abboud Chalhoub: Pamela and Connie are amazing! This was the first (and only) bridal store I visited and I highly recommend it. I was immediately greeted by Pamela and her staff making me feel very welcomed and excited about the experience. They helped me browse the many beautiful and affordable dresses they had. I appreciated Pamela’s honest opinion which helped me narrow down my many options. I bought my dress that day (in Jan 2021) and canceled all of my other bridal store appointments because I felt very happy with my dress and it was very convenient that Connie could do my alterations in June, which gave me plenty of time to be ready for my Aug 2021 wedding. I tried my dress yesterday, a week before my wedding, and it didn’t close right. I was freaking out and called Pamela, she told me to come when I was available and I did today. Connie and her showed my mother and I how to close it properly and it fit right, just like it did when she did the initial alterations which only took her two weeks. Thank you!!

Ashlynn Klicka: From the second we walked in, the employees were aggressive, rude, and didn’t listen to what the bride said she wanted. The negative attitude was tangible and the passive aggressive comments were a little much. It felt like we were doing something wrong by saying we had looked at other places and had an idea of what the bride wanted. When the bride tried dresses on when and said she didn’t like something, they were defensive and acted personally offended. What a terrible experience. The bride felt uncomfortable and that is completely unacceptable. Thankfully this was not the first shop we went to, because if it was, the bride would have been extremely discouraged.
sanam lodin: Let’s start off by saying everything happens for a reason! I had bought my original wedding dress from another shop in the area. Two weeks before my wedding day I had my final fitting. The seamstress did a horrible job fitting the dress to my body shape. She completely altered the style of my dress and it just didn’t look right on me. After google searching bridal shops in the area to find a dress in such a short timeframe, I found Pamela’s bridal shop and called her right away. I explained my situation to her & She scheduled an appointment for me the next day. She pulled out all the dresses for me and believe it or not she had the same exact wedding dress in stock and in my size!!! I couldn’t believe I came across the same wedding dress. It didn’t need much altering except for hemming which was done perfectly. Pamela even went out of her way to sell my original wedding dress for me in her shop. I can’t thank her enough for saving me from such a nightmare!

Brooke Miller: I cannot say enough wonderful things about Pamela and Say Yes for Less. I began my wedding dress search by going to all of the shops in DC and the suburbs, but was having a very hard time finding something that I truly loved in my budget (~$4k). A neighbor told me about SYFL and thank goodness she did! My experience with Pamela was refreshing. She was very honest, down to earth, and not pushy or overly sweet like some stylists at other shops had been. She has a great eye for what will fit your body (and budget) and it is clear that she has a ton of experience in the industry. The shop is meticulously clean and organized with large dressing rooms. Pamela has a large selection of beautiful veils and bridal jewelry as well. All of the dresses look brand new and have been professionally cleaned. There certainly is not patio furniture inside as another reviewer mentioned—there are adorable wrought iron tables and chairs for plenty of seating if friends or family come along. Since she sees customers by appointment only, I was always given complete and undivided attention. While the concept is designer dresses at a fraction of the price, I never once felt as if I was in a discount shop. I ended up purchasing a Vera Wang gown that still sells for full price! I also completed my alterations with Pamela and Connie, which was another great experience. Connie is skilled, professional, and completed all of my alterations with one visit. I have been raving about SYFL to everyone I know getting married and I can’t wait to wear my dress next month!

Jessica Arrazola: Pro: EBR has a great selection of dresses. They are super knowledgeable on the quality and material of the dresses and will advise on what’s best (ie satin not great if you sweat). My consultant Farah was attentive and gave me options based on my body type. The dress I got wasn’t even what I went in thinking I wanted! Con: The dress they ordered was based on their measuring and consulting. They decided to recommend ordering me a size 10 dress. But when I looked up the dress and the maker’s bridal sizing for myself I was a size 6 instead of a 10. No tailor wants to take this project on, making me think they do this to bank on the alteration upsell. Note, I’m 102 lbs. size 25 jeans (0/1). Ordered me a bridal 10. Pics for during fitting and now the custom dress I’m apparently having to have made.

Sloane Katleman: I had a wonderful experience with Farah and the whole staff. They are kind, attentive, professional and all around lovely folks! Farah made me feel comfortable expressing my real thoughts and feelings on the dresses. For all the shy/people pleasing ladies out there, you know how much we need this. We went through multiple revisions until we came to my totally customized dream wedding dress. Ladies - come here to get your dress. Seriously all the dresses are beautiful. rachel robertello: I truly cannot put into words how grateful I am to have found my dress at such a wonderful shop where all the staff were so kind and helpful from looking for the dress to the final fitting. Being plus size, I was so nervous to even go dress shopping but they really made me feel like a bride and had more than enough styles for me to try on. Then when I became pregnant, they continued to work on my dress alterations to accommodate all my body changes along the way and my dress fit perfectly, the way I wanted it, on the wedding day. I had such a wonderful experience working with everyone in this bridal shop and really appreciate how kind everyone was. Elegance by Roya is absolutely the perfect one-stop shop for all the wedding gown and accessory needs.

I had an appointment to look at bridal appointments back in July, 2021, and I was helped by Ayesha, the girl in the photo. She was so positive and uplifting and wanted to make sure I was truly happy with my choice! She was also very sweet and treated me and my sister and mother very kindly. She made the experience fun and exciting rather than daunting like I thought it would be. This was my first and last dress shopping appointment as she was able to help me find a beautiful dress and help make it affordable. I liked how the place scheduled appointments for COVID and was not crowded at all like the major chain bridal shops can be. My group had plenty of space and time for our appointment and did not feel rushed or uncomfortable at all. I did give 4 stars because we had to wait about 10-15 minutes past our appointment time outside in July. However, they didn’t rush us even with our appointment being at the end of the shop’s hours! Thank you so much Ayesha if you see this! My dress was so beautiful and you’re great! :D

Ayesha helped me find my dream dress and the experience was everything and more. Ayesha was so genuine and made me feel so comfortable right off the bat. It felt like we knew each other for years! Jennifer Garcia: Love this place and Leah! I had such a great experience she definitely understood my vision. I had rescheduled my wedding two years out because of covid and even had a baby a few weeks before my wedding. I left everything for last minute including my veil which was the most important to me for my Catholic wedding. I looked everywhere even on amazon out of desperation! I originally wanted a pearl veil but Leah asked me how my dress looked and my vision and pulled this beautiful Carolina Herrera veil someone had donated. I tried it on and new it was it! But was hesitant because I always envisioned it as pearls. Leah convinced me on how beautiful this would look in pictures as well as walking down the aisle and she was right! That bad boy sparkled and got so many compliments. Im so very happy and lucky I found Leah! If you book your appointment make sure you request her she is also the best boost of self confidence you will get she made me feel so great and excited for my wedding!

Tai: Horrible experience! They kept rescheduling and canceling my appointment for whatever reason! On 3rd attempt the old lady with boxed dyed black hair would not let me in and kept repeating and assuming I was donating my wedding dress when I told her over and over I had an appointment after going back and forth with her she finally let me and my mother in we felt awkward and very uncomfortable they did not offer my mothers seat I had to pick items I wanted by myself the sales lady was not present! They would not help and just made me feel like I did not belong there! The other sales associate was not friendly and neither the customers we were the only black people in there the sales associate never apologized for assuming I did not have an appoint I do not recommend this place if you have an ethnic or you are not blonde hair with blue eyes I’m very disappointed because I gave Donna a chance and actually liked her my sister called to complain and the other sales associate picked up the phone and was laughing the whole time when my sister explained the experience to her! word of advice do not JUDGE you do not know who has money and who doesn’t I was discriminated against and lost a paying customer and even a customer who’s committed to giving long time loyalty to great businesses

Zach Jacobs: My fiancée and I had such an amazing experience at Fairytale Brides. The selection is fantastic and there were a number of dresses that fit our tight budget. Amparo was so kind in helping choose the dress. She’s a super star!! Plus, the money goes to a worthy charity or scholarship fund, so it makes you feel good in what you’re buying. Absolutely recommend this store to any bride! I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.

Shakeera Harden: Finding I Do I Do was a complete by chance thing and I’m so happy I did!!! Tracy really listened to what I want and made me feel like I was the only bride that matters. She was so sweet and caring, sharing jokes with us as she searched for the most perfect dresses. We felt protected, loved, and important the entire time. The first dress she chose for me was everything I wanted and a few things I didn’t know I wanted. I literally didn’t want to take it off. I’m so excited to try it on again when it comes in in November (yes I loved and bought the FIRST DRESS TRACY BROUGHT OUT FOR ME!!) I love everything about I Do I Do ❤️❤️❤️

They were so kind and helped me to feel comfortable and relaxed. They did their very best showing me dresses that were my style. I DEFINITELY recommend I Do I Do for every bride. They also had dresses in my price range which was awesome!
Bola Adebesin: This was the first bridal shop I visited after getting engaged and I feel so lucky to have found it. Tracy was so efficient that it made dress shopping a breeze. As soon as I mentioned something that I liked about one dress, she was there, ready with another dress that had the feature I wanted but always a little closer to what I was looking for. She really knows her inventory inside and out. But beyond her knowledge base, she was just so incredibly warm and kind. If anyone asks me for recommendations, this is 100% where I will send them. My sister-in-law and mother-in-law to be were with me and they had nothing but great things to say about the service we received as well.

Prior the the appointment, Tracy texted me to see what styles I was interested in, and had an assortment of gowns ready to go right when I arrived. She also allowed my group to look through the entire inventory and pull any other dresses of interest. As this was one of my first times trying on bridal gowns, I did not feel pressured to make a decision on the spot, not did we feel rushed during the process. Prices are reasonable as well. Highly recommend!

When I arrived for my appointment, she had already picked out several choices for me to try on based on what I had shared with her! The shop is beautiful and everyone that works there is incredibly patient and kind and makes you feel like a million bucks! Ashley Ortiz: I went to I Do I Do for my bridal gown and absolutely loved it. Tracy was super nice and patient during my two appointments with a fairly large entourage. The seamstress was absolutely amazing and basically reconstructed the top of my dress after I lost about ten pounds before my wedding. I also bought my veil and hair clip from there. It’s really a one stop shop. I’m in the process of consigning my dress with I Do I Do. The process is fairly easy, because I bought my dress from them they waived the admin fee. They try to sell the dress for 10 months with the possibility for extending a few more months after that point. Will update if/when I resell the dress. I would definitely shop at I Do I Do again!

Kate Beacom: I think I want to move into the Love Couture Bridal salon! Every aspect of my experience was absolutely amazing and beautifully thought through. You can really tell they take pride in the details and quality of their work. Their team and my experience in the salon were hands down my favorite part of my wedding planning process. I would do it 100 times over! Their entire team was so knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire process. Lalique was my stylist and she helped me to pick out the dress of my dreams. She made sure my opinion was heard but also made some excellent recommendations for dresses that I would have otherwise not picked for myself. She is so talented! The ordering process was a breeze, we even got to pop a bottle of bubbly in the salon once I said yes to the dress! The dress and accessories I ordered came in on time and in perfect condition. I highly recommend using their in-house tailoring services. They know those gowns inside and out, better than any other seamstress could ever do. My seamstress was a savior and made my dress fit like a glove. I felt so confident in the dress all day. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this bride feel like royalty!

Chelsea Mendonca: White Swan Bridal was easily the best bridal boutique I’ve been to. The staff were pleasant and extremely helpful. The wedding gowns there are beyond gorgeous. I found the dress of my dreams there and the wonderful women who assisted me Moia and Anna very extremely helpful without being pushy. They also managed to get my dress altered within a day on a holiday. The seamstress was very kind and did a wonderful job. Overall I’m extremely happy with the quality of dresses and the customer service provided. Highly recommend.
Kristy & Jack Roszel: The women at Swan Bridal are amazing! My sister had a dress emergency created by a less experienced shop. Not only did they offer her multiple alternatives to her original dress but they went above an beyond to help fix the original dress she loved. They not only fixed the issues but made the dress more perfect then we could even imagine. Thank you for saving the day with the wedding being only 2 weeks away. Swan Bridal has a beautiful selection of dresses but more importantly they represent everything a business should be putting the customer first event step of the way.
Heather Lockhart: This shop was the best dress shopping experience by far! I went to several shops prior to White Swan and then scheduled an hour appointment just to see if I had any interest in what they offered. The consultant had an idea of a couple dresses that would fit my preference within my budget. We started off in the clearance section (by my request) and found a few to show off to my closest relatives. My decision was tied between two of the most stunning lace dresses, I ended up running over my appointment by two hours! The owner, Mila, was so kind and allowed her consultant to continue to accommodate me. Then lo and behold I said yes to the dress!! Mila was so sweet to offer my family water and treats while they patiently waited. She also gave an unexpected discount to my hair piece and veil. I had a very specific idea of what I wanted my train to be shaped like and Mila gave me her honest opinion while still allowing an open mind. After I made my final decision, I sent the dress out for alterations (which came back right on time with more time to spare). I was very pleased with her knowledge and friendly relationship with clients. After my wedding I came back to get my dress preserved professionally. I had a few tears in my lace and stains at the base, which is pretty normal post-wedding. Mila reassuring that this was not a problem and will be fixed. The preservation of my dress came back like it had never been warn. I truly enjoyed my experience because of her and her team! I recommend this place to my friends, family and any future brides-to-be!
A&C Tuma: My wife and I both purchased our wedding dresses at White Swan. They were incredibly attentive and helped us pick out the perfect dresses to fit our very different styles. White Swan was incredibly flexible with our timelines and did a phenomenal job with all of the alterations. We can’t recommend White Swan enough!
Megan Guidi: White Swan Bridal is definitely a hidden gem! My photographer (Emily Alyssa Photography) recommended I try their shop after a series of striking out elsewhere and feeling a little defeated in my search. We had a 4-month turnaround time from engagement to wedding and I had been turned away consistently from other shops for the tight deadline (understandable, but discouraging nonetheless) WSB showed me a selection of dresses that would work within my timeline AND for a great price! I walked out the SAME DAY from their sample sale with a $500 gown that I loved more than even the $3000 gowns I had tried elsewhere! They also did my alterations in-house and did a wonderful job (added bones, some elastic, cups, and altered my veil to add a bustle). I had a great experience from start to finish and I’m looking forward to going back to them after the big day for cleaning and preservation. If you’re a bride feeling overwhelmed with the dress shopping experience, head to White Swan Bridal! They’ll make it fun, quick, and easy to find something you love. (I should also add, I came here completely alone to shop (my bridal party lived too far away to come with me) and the staff did a great job of offering supportive feedback throughout the shopping process!)

Michelle Orozco: Diane and Michelle were an absolute delight to work with. For some context, it took me a long time to decide on a dress for my wedding. I finally bought this dress online because I was running out of time and I had lukewarm feelings about it. I just needed something to wear! At my first fitting, Diane and Michelle made me feel confident in my dress. They were so kind, patient and reassured me when I was feeling down and defeated about my choice. They listened to all my concerns and made their own suggestions. I knew I was leaving my dress in good hands! My dress needed to be hemmed, taken in at the hips, have cups added as well as a beautiful bustle that was easy to use. They also readjusted some of the appliqué on the sleeves that stuck out too much for my taste. I had two fittings in total. Diane and Michelle provide a premium service and deliver premium quality. If I ever need alterations for a formal dress, I am coming back here!

Alyssa Palumbo: I can’t say enough good things about this place. I’ve been recommending it to all my friends and family. I found the dress of my dreams here and the price was incredible. So affordable!!! My dress was basically in new condition with the tags still on it. All the dresses I tried on were in fabulous condition! I had so much fun here. I wasn’t rushed at all. The girls working were so helpful and let us take lot of pictures. The shop is spacious and clean. If I ever need another dress for anything I’ll be back! Redd Lovely1: I found my dress at Retulled after having a horrible failed appointment at DB. I needed a beach wedding dress and they kept bringing out these heavy fabrics and completely unflattering dresses. My girls and I went to Retulled and the dress I bought was the one Amy suggested! It didn’t fit perfectly, but she told me The Sewing Lady could help with that! And they did! Several months later I called Amy in a panic because the accessories I bought did NOT go with my dress. She calmed me down, told me not to freak out and scheduled an appointment. Once I arrived and put my dress on, she brought out several veils and pieces of jewelry. We tried different combinations until my look was perfected. I added the hair piece after deciding how I was going to wear my hair. I am now looking to consign some bridal items and wouldn’t go anyplace else. Amy delivered and then some. I truly thank you!

Lainey Bell: I absolutely loved my dress. The staff are so welcoming. Great customer service. I loved purchasing something second hand. They also have wonderful accessories. I recommend emailing them from the website to schedule a wedding dress shopping timeslot. They also post on Instagram so you can view the dresses. Dresses in many sizes and affordable price range (some dresses under $250)

Cadence Baugh: Going to Retulled was ABSOLUTELY the best decision for wedding dress shopping. Let me provide some backstory… My fiancé and I are having a very low-key and low-budget wedding. He is still in school and I am a young professional, so we don’t have a lot of money for a “normal-priced” wedding. I was budgeting $300 - $500 for a wedding dress. And let me just say, my first wedding dress experience left me in tears by the end of the day. I went to the Bridal Superstore and David’s Bridal in Indy. I was in shock to discover that the cheapest dress was $700!! I started to rethink whether or not I should even have a wedding because I could not even fathom how I could pay that kind of money - and for just a small part of the wedding at that! After doing lots of research online, I was starting to feel like I was going to have to pony out the big dough or get no dress at all… I found out about Retulled and thought I should give it a try. Everything about my experience at Retulled was perfect and even better than any experience I had at the big box wedding dress retailers! At the other places before, the dresses were not only expensive, but also very unflattering. I couldn’t believe my eyes when every single dress I tried on at Retulled was so lovely and flattering and completely in my price range! One gorgeous dress that was my favorite for a while was even lower than my price range. It got to a point where I was having a difficult time even deciding between four dresses! From start to finish, Amy and Ari were incredible. They are genuinely kindhearted ladies who were so patient with me. They listened to all of my ideas and offered their own suggestions. The dress I ended up deciding on was one Ari picked out specifically for me based on my body shape and preferences even though it was not one I would’ve picked out myself. I tried it on and fell in love with it immediately! Both Amy and Ari are so knowledgeable about what looks good. They clearly knew what looked good on me better than I knew myself! I was worried that I was becoming annoying because I was so indecisive that I had to try dresses on over and over again. They were never bothered for a second and patiently allowed me to process each dress thoroughly. The location itself was so lovely too. It is located in a little pink Victorian-style house that made you feel like you were in a luxury boutique. Every moment of this experience was magical and everything I ever could have wanted from such an important moment in my life!

Sara Gurney: Vicky is a lovely person and did a good job on the alterations of my mother of the bride dress and she told me up front that she charged $55 per hour but, I had no idea it would take her 9 hours to hem and fix the neck of my dress. My dress only cost $200 new! We had my daughters dress altered by someone else and to do almost the exact same things to her beaded bridal dress we were only charged $110. Vicky was willing to work with me and she lowered the price a little but still charged me $375. I would use her again only if I got a firm price up front.
Response: How I wish all dresses were designed and constructed the same to be able to give a firm price. However, they are not which makes it difficult to do. Not all seamstresses value their time, skill, and experience like I do or charge an hourly rate. I take pride in the 35-40 years of experience I have in the quality alterations I do so they are done professionally and look as good as they do. I had no idea I would spend 9 hours on the alterations until they were finished. This being the reason I discussed the cost with you so we could arrive at a mutually agreed upon price. With the amount I had to take the shoulders up (between 1 ½”-2”) I had to completely remove the sleeves and stitch them back in to fit properly to not have gathers in the sleeves at the shoulder seams. At the second fitting you were pleased I had done this way. The armhole seam was bound with a piece of tulle binding and if I had not stitched it back on, the seam would have been in danger of pulling apart since the outer layer is tulle and lace. The neckline adjustment I did had a similar type of tulle binding which I stitched most of it back on by hand so not to completely remove it to stitch back on. The hem on your dress was three layers, one tulle and lace, the other two knit layers. One of the knit layers was stitched to the tulle and lace layer at the side seams which had to be opened up first before hemming the knit layer, then stitched together again at the sides before hemming the tulle layer. All three layers were stitched together at the center back slit which was done in a different way than I did to help reduce some time since I realized the time was getting high. I do know there are not many seamstresses out there who would have taken on the dress to alter with the complexity of the dress construction. Please reach back out to me if you are unhappy with the mutually agreed price and feel it needs further discussion. Thank you for the kind parts of the review you did, however I feel the rating deserved better than one star.
Margaret Hertlein: Vicki is so nice and easy to work with. I needed my bridesmaid’s dress hemmed and she did a great job. The reason why I am giving three stars is because it was extremely expensive. I had only the front half of the dress hemmed and she charged me $115. I will take responsibility for the fact that I did not ask about price beforehand. I also agreed to pay the amount when she told me the price at the time of pick up. However, I’ve had alterations done in the past that were more involved and a lot less expensive. My sister had alterations done for her bridal gown elsewhere and she was charged $110 for a full hem and alterations done to the top half of the dress.
Response: Thank you for the nice review on the alterations I did on your bridesmaid dress. I apologize the cost was more than what other seamstresses may charge and would like the opportunity to explain why the charge was $110 ($115 included tax) for the alterations. I currently charge $55/hour and take pride in the 35-40 years of experience in the quality professional alterations I do to look as good as they do. I tried to shorten only the front and blend into the back, but realized the needle marks from the previous stitching would show due to fabric being velvet. To prevent this from happening I shortened the dress all the way around including the lining layer. The way the hem was previously put in, the stitching was difficult to open up so I could trim off the excess amount needed to shorten. I did put in more time than the 2 hours I charged for the hem. Madison Stuhlreyer: A one stop shop for bridal accessories for those looking to not spend a fortune. When I started shopping for bridal accessories, I was immediately baffled at how much my dream wedding veil would cost me. The bridal boutique I was getting my dress from priced their cathedral length veils around $400-$450. I understand and respect the craftsmanship that goes into the creation, but I couldn’t wrap my head around spending that much on an accessory. Just when I thought I’d have to change my dream to something more budget-accommodating, I decided to check out Chaz Bridal. The shop’s owner, Vicki, was extremely friendly and helpful when my mom and I visited to browse her veil options. Vicki walked us through and educated us about different veil aspects and components, things I had never even considered. She guided us on choosing the right lace color and even different trim options she could provide for us. Not only does this boutique supply bridal accessories, but bridal jewelry, formal shoes and a large selection of consignment wedding dresses for a fraction of the price of retail. The owner even offers alterations as well. Overall, I absolutely loved my experience here and will definitely be recommending to those in the market for a bridal boutique that offers a personalized experience.
