Anna Mahr: I can’t say enough good things about my experience at LovelyBride in Georgetown!! Gorgeous shop, personalized, professional, and overall phenomenal experience. I was fortunate enough to have the owner Danielle as my consultant and I felt like she was able to read me so well and provided the experience my family really wanted that day. I went to another salon right after I left lovely bride and the dresses and service just didn’t even compare. I said yes to the dress immediately and cancelled all my future appointments, and I’m so so excited to be a lovely bride!!!
Sydney Sanderson: I bought my wedding dress from Lovely Bride DC back in February and my experience was nothing short of fabulous. On my first visit, I was by myself and Tabby helped me FaceTime my mom to share in the experience. Several dresses were pulled based on my choices made online, but a couple other dresses were pulled as we went along and Tabby honed in on what I was interested in. I loved the way they help you reach a decision, and everyone in the building was so supportive and kind - even if they were not directly helping me. A wonderful experience from start to finish and of course, a beautiful dress. Thank you!

Maddie: I went to 4 bridal studios before buying my dress and had the best experience at lovely bride!! Danielle was truly the best and so helpful. I was starting to get nervous and discouraged about my search for a dress but when i went to lovely bride i tried on about 4 dresses before i found the one, all of which i liked more than any dress i had tried up to that point. They definitely have the most unique selection of gowns specifically If you are looking for a more modern look that other stores just aren’t carrying yet. Cannot reccommend lovely bride enough!

Marissa Metil: My experience at Carines was unforgettable! Bianca was my consultant and she was SO friendly and truly seemed so excited when I found my dress. When I went to pick it up from alterations a week before my wedding, she (who had not seen me since I picked my dress a year ago) was so excited to see me and was genuinely so happy for me! The team was great and the boutique was of course beautiful!
Megan Cairns: I love carine’s! The dresses were beautiful and high end and the inventory was fantastic. I worked with Briana who was amazing! She instantly understood my style and pulled perfect dresses for me. She was sweet and accommodating. She worked with me for multiple appointments and never became impatient. I was able to really explore the different styles and figure out what I wanted. While I didn’t end up purchasing my wedding dress from Carine’s, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend.
Ilana Naidamast: Carine’s Bridal/Aisle is truly the Kleinfeld of the DMV. Carine is the fairy godmother of bridal gowns and while I didn’t find my dress here, she taught me SO much about what I want in a dress. Carine was extremely knowledgeable and put so much thought, effort, and time into my appointment. I felt like an absolute princess. We talked for about 5 minutes before shopping through the racks and she knew my style right away. I have tried on a lot of dresses, none of which came close to “the one” until I visited Carine’s. Lastly, my appointment was in person during COVID and the $45 cleaning fee was SO worth it. She takes the ultimate amount of caution to stay safe, clean, and social distance. Cannot recommend Carine’s enough. Everything about this store and the experience feels magical.

Maggie Bowman-jones: We had an appointment scheduled for one of my bridesmaids on Friday- her flight was changed and we had to cancel and try moving to Saturday. Tiana was amazing and noted the new flight time and got us in for Saturday. God knows it’s hard to work in retail right now, but I’ve found the staff at all BHLDN Locations I’ve visited to be so kind and helpful- they truly do try their best to accommodate when they can. The studio upstairs in Georgetown is also so quiet and super private compared to other BHLDN locations which was also a plus.
Samantha K: I’d love to give 5 stars! The staff were a dream to work with. They clipped and zipped me whenever I needed help. Reps emailed me a list of seamstress in the area, which was helpful too. The offer limited sizes to try on and like what another reviewer said the dresses are in poor condition but they were good enough to get an idea. I liked the dressing room size and setup. The reason why I am giving four stars is because of their lighting in the entire dressing room. The only lights that were helpful were in the fitting room but not where you walk out to show your friends what the dresses look like on you. That lighting was not great on me. My dress was shipped to the wrong address. I called and the rep said she fixed my address. Hopefully, the dress arrives. Mistakes happen. Parked in a lot for $12/day but there is a garage in the building that BHLDN is in.
Yasemina Julia Paraskeva: Recently scheduled an appointment to try on bridal gowns at Bhldn’s Gtown location. They had a broad variety of gowns and an ample fitting room. I received excellent service from Sloane - she was very thorough in explaining the ordering process and in helping me determine my size. She was very attentive. I highly recommend her when making bridal gown try-on appointments at Bhldn Georgetown!

Kirk Brown: Posting from my husbands account... I was a bridesmaid in my best friends wedding Oct 2017 and Georgetown Bride was hired to do the bride and bridal party. She did an amazing job on all of us. First of all, the wedding was 1.5 hours from DC and she was there on time with all her products. Everyone was amazed at the depth of Melissa’s portfolio, from politicians to actors to models, from NY to LA. Even though we weren’t “celebs” she treated us like we were just as important as her famous clientele. The Bride had short hair and Melissa was able to put extensions in her hair in order to give her that perfect bridal messy updo that is so popular among brides these days. She did an amazing job and her prices were extremely reasonable, given the distance she had to travel.
Aimee Wertepny: I cannot say enough amazing things about Melissa and her team at Georgetown Bride! I’ve known Melissa for over 25 years and have watched her grow her business from the ground up. Her sheer talent, work ethic, drive for perfection and commitment is undeniable- not to mention the warm energy she brings into any space she enters. She has flown to Chicago on a whim to prep me for photo shoots and even coached me through calming my nerves— Melissa works her magic and knows how to reach in and present the highest version of people through her low-maintenance vibe, humor, cool professionalism and down-right talent. Not only did she make me look gorgeous, we had a blast throughout the entire process while glamming me up and making me feel as comfortable and courageous as possible. When I need to roar, she’ll be right back in chi-town. Worth it 100%. Keep working your magic, Georgetown Bride. It works.

Kristine Maraan: I went to Rosalin’s Bridal Boutique for my dress fitting and it was such a great experience! They asked for examples of what kind of dress I was looking for and they had so many different options available to try on that were similar to what I was envisioning. I found THE dress during that first appointment. They were so accommodating with all the alterations and by the end, my dress fit me PERFECTLY. I could not have been happier with how it fit. I felt like an absolute princess on my wedding day!
Abigail Lacy: Rosalin’s may not come with all the frills of some of the fancier shops, but they are in no short supply of amazing dresses, kindness, good advice, reasonable prices and an amazing seamstress. (Found my dress here cheaper than elsewhere) PLUS they were supportive of my customization requests (the thin belt) and showed me different, creative ways to tie the bow (like in the front rather than back). They were flexible with appointments and communicated clear and easy.
Dottie Kramer: I wish this had been my first stop of the day. This was the only boutique that asked me for my Pinterest inspiration and pulled dresses for me before I got there. They pulled my dream dress immediately and at no point did I feel pressured to buy anything or go over budget. They were so sweet, the staff was kind, and I felt like they knew me and what I wanted so quickly, the whole process was a breeze. They were transparent about everything (cost, wait times, etc.) Cannot WAIT for my dress to come in.
Jessica Yellowitz: Rosalin’s was by far my favorite bridal shop experience. They had a great variety of dresses, and knew exactly what I wanted. I found my dress here after looking at two other places first. Save yourself the hassle and go to Rosalin’s first! I worked with Veronica and Rosita and they were just lovely and they helped me find my dream dress. Can’t say enough great things about this place!
Heather Foss: This little boutique is the most darling place! When attempting to schedule locations to search for my wedding dress during COVID-19 this location was one of the only ones doing in person. The staff wore masks during the entire session and maintained COIVD-19 safety precautions. My bridesmaid and myself also wore masks during the session. I went in thinking I already decided on a dress, however, I am glad I listened to the wonderful ladies at Rosalin’s and tried on a more formfitting gown. While I tried on many gowns, the one they recommend as well as my bridesmaid is the dress I choose. I also managed to stay under budget! They seriously have dresses for everyone! Overall the experience was wonderful and I would recommend any bride looking for a dress visit this boutique!

Erica Campanaro: There is so much to say about Amanda and Bre!!! They are ABSOLUTELY wonderful and helped to make our wedding day so perfect. From the beginning, they were so helpful, super communicative and responsive. On the wedding day, they were so attentive, making sure me and wife had everything we needed (Amanda even got me a drink before toasts started because she saw I was empty handed). Amanda handled all of our vendors and made sure everyone was where they were supposed to be. They were so on top of everything and executed our vision flawlessly. We were able to enjoy our wedding day without any concerns or anxiety because Amanda and Bre were so amazingly professional and handled everything with ease. It was such a perfect day and I have Capital Romance to thank so much for helping us get through the planning process and the wedding day. I highly recommend Capital Romance and would hire them all over again!

Jill Bosserman: I walked in on a Saturday morning, alone, just to browse. The sales ladies asked me what I liked, and I pointed out a few styles from a helpful poster of the basic dress cuts. They pulled about 5 or 6 dresses for me (all small sizes, as I’m a size 2P). Dress #4 was the perfect dress – Mikado and Tulle. They told me, “That’s the one.” It was absolutely perfect in every way. They helped me order it in a size 2P, which fit *perfectly* when it came. I mean, so perfectly that it needed NO adjustments for fitting, and didn’t even need to be hemmed once I had on my shoes. (All they had to do was trim the front layer of tulle.) My excellent floor rep was Sharon. The manager was also super sweet and helpful!! And did I mention my dress was a bargain compared to the bridal salons? 1000% recommend!
Betsy MacKenzie: Ashley G. Was amazing at helping me find a dress that fit, was flattering and perfect for the occasion! I wasn’t even considering the dress she pulled for me and ended up buying it on the spot! Thank you so much Ashley G!!
Michelle Hyde: I worked with stylist Lisa Hall and she was amazing. My daughter and I needed to find a dress for my sisters wedding and I needed to find a wedding dress, on short notice, for several valid and challenging reasons which would continue to be issues. Lisa listened to my concerns and was able to help me find dress that made me feel comfortable and made suggestions on how we could overcome the challenges that were specific to my situation. I was concerned that we would not be able to find a nice dress on such short notice, but she did. It has been a while since we have a attended a formal event, but she made us feel very comfortable about the process and addressed all of our concerns. I was also happy as my daughter found a dress and she hates dress shopping. So it was a win all around!!

Paige Raborn: Spread my ashes at this Anthro! (Only half joking.) Somehow an extremely well organized store despite its massive size, Georgetown Anthropologie has the best items and even better associates! The wonderful and hilarious Camila helped me make a few style decisions, and she is incredibly intuitive about personal taste and sizing. I will definitely be coming back the next time I visit DC.
Lion King: My all time favorite shopping place in the U. S.! Quiet and full of beautiful stuffs! D.C branch is one of the best one, the people work there are nice and beautiful, will help you find the things you want especially the one in the shoes area, we didn’t try shoes but she gave us some advices on coat!
Hannah Degn: The best anthro building in the the DC metro area! It’s 3 stories, always has an amazing sales section, and has a great home section too! It’s such a cute store and has such a large selection! Definitely worth browsing and trying things on that you see online!

Lisa Sheehan: I can not say enough about Bella Mera Bridal! I was searching for a specific veil for my daughter and I reached out to them. I received an immediate reply from Jennifer who went above and beyond in every way. She found the veil and assured me it would be received within 4 weeks. Well it was received in less than 2! With careful packaging and a protective bag for hanging. Let me also mention the price was amazing! After I received the veil Jennifer reached out to make sure everything was satisfactory. Where do you find that kind of customer service?! I highly recommend Bella Mera if there is a wedding in your future!

We only had a designer name and a picture of it from when she tried it on. We thought it was one model#. So I reached out to Bella Mera and I was lucky enough to get the most attentive and caring person on the other end of my texts to them, Jennifer. After a ton of messages for 2 days and her helping right up until she was leaving work, sending pictures back and forth, Jennifer was able to find the exact veil we were looking for. Took care of calling the designer and getting it drop shipped to me in time. We live in New Jersey and we didn’t even get her wedding dress from there. If they were that great about getting a sale for a veil and going way above and beyond, I couldn’t imagine how awesome they would be to purchase a dress from. Jennifer you rock! I was looking for Greek Orthodox stefana (crowns) for my wedding ceremony and it was the only store in the area that had a wide selection to choose from. khaldea suleiman: I was buying my daughters wedding dress here in California and the veil she wanted was sold out!!! We went in line and found it at Balla Mera Bridal Boutique. We placed our order we received regular updated emails about the status and where I was at in the order process. When the order was ready for delivery I got phone call co firming the order was correct because the lady was worried about the wording on the package was different then what was on their web site. She wanted to make sure I was getting what I wanted. That was so considerate in my opinion that was great customer service. I got the veil it was everything we wanted and expected. I totally recommend this place to brides because of their great communication skills.
Carley Fields: I had such an incredible experience with Bella Mera Bridal! I live in Wilmington, North Caroline and I was on the hunt for a cathedral veil. I fell in love with a veil at the Boutique I got my dress, but it was way out of my price range. I began searching everywhere else - etsy, other local boutiques, and random google searches. Finally, I came across Bella Mera Bridal who had the exact veil I was looking for for less than half the price I originally found it at! They were so quick to respond to any questions I had. I paid for rushed shipping to make sure it got here in time and they sent it without any problems! I was also able to get a veil bag and hanger through them, which was super helpful. I would absolutely suggest Bella Mera Bridal to any of my friends getting married!! I am so thankful I found them!

Francesca Leo: Classic hotel in a convenient location close to Georgetown and GW. Only issue is that when we arrived at our room, we noticed items from the mini bar were opened and half eaten/missing. We reported this to the front desk and they sent someone up immediately to take care of it. However, the items were never replaced and we were charged. The charges were removed as soon as we spoke with the front desk again. Everyone was kind and addressed our concerns timely and appropriately. Would return.
Natasha Pradhan: We got locked out of the parking garage (which btw, please never park in if you are not a hotel guest). Kyle went above and beyond to help us exit the garage that had closed without warning, when we weren’t even hotel guests. True human kindness does exist.
Thomas G: Nice centrally located hotel. The rooms are roomy, and the bathroom is huge. But disappointed that on-premise restaurants are currently closed, including no option for breakfast.

Muniba Khan: Stopped by from out of town since the weather ended up being a lot colder than expected. We were able to find some winter wear for a reasonable price, although I wish they had a wider selection of warm coats and some gloves for these cold fronts. Everyone that helped us was super great and friendly!
Jacqueline Francis: I went with my daughter to return a sport jacket and to look around for any new items. My daughter met her former coworker who was kind enough to assist with her return. The experience painless and without incident. After the return, we made our to the children department. My daughter wanted to see if there anything new out for babies 18-24 months. There were some times, but nothing much that caught her. My grandson did grab a footsie pajama and my daughter saw a cute pair of sneakers and a tee shirt. Very cute 😍! The checkout rep was very friendly, and he was the manager. Overall, a great experince🙏🙏🙏

Ashley Reed: Behind the veil was great for our on-site makeup and hair! I have NEVER been in a wedding where we had to move girls around because they were done early instead of being behind schedule. We had more time than we needed for touch up because they worked so fast and well together. It is great that they have a physical location for trials and that you get to work with the girls you trial with (even if you’re like me and book it a year before your wedding). My head artists Heather and Joseline were open to criticism and really worked to make sure I had the look I wanted for the day! They were both so fun to work with and talk to, which really helps when the nerves start setting in. Everything turned out so well and I was so happy with the service. Kara Lemmons: Words can’t describe how thankful I am for Behind the Veil! They were extremely flexible, easy to work with, understanding, and so talented! The moment I saw their amazing work at my friends wedding, I couldn’t wait to sign up! I wasn’t the easiest bride because of my work shift schedule, uncertainty on what I wanted and also had a black eye on the day of the wedding. But this company did EVERYTHING they could to help me! The team was always on time, energized, and excited to work with us. Holly was accommodating and worked with my mom and I to get our hair just right. We loved her calm, cool and friendly personality! The make up artist, Angela, did SUCH a terrific job on my eye and make up, no one even noticed my black eye the day of the wedding! The make up was striking but so natural! She was perfect! I absolutely loved it! I got many compliments on how well she did! I dont know what i would have done without her! Laurie was so patient, kind, understanding and such a delight to work with as well! I couldn’t have asked for a better team! Thank you Behind the Veil for making my day better than I could have ever imagined!
Ariel Winkley: I was married on Nov 3rd in Baltimore City and selected Behind the Veil for my hair and makeup team. I could not have been happier with Thea and Shanel for hair and Kelsey and Nicole for makeup. Each stylist arrived on time at the designated location and really listened to what each bridesmaid and family member wanted and the level of makeup they were comfortable with. Everyone was thrilled with how their hair and makeup came out, and I could not have been happier with the level of professionalism not only from the stylists but also from the administrative team. Most importantly, the hair and makeup team was very flexible. I had done my hair and makeup trial back in April (which in retrospect was too far in advance) and ended up changing my mind for both hair and makeup on the day of the wedding. Kelsey and Thea were extremely accommodating and with a combination of pictures and descriptions of what I wanted, were able to create the exact look I was going for. It was such an amazing day which was made even better by the fact that I felt beautiful and because working with Behind the Veil was so stress-free.

Katie Rizer: Behind the Veil was wonderful to work with throughout the planning process. They were informative, responsive, and personable in their approach. I used my trial make up as my engagement shoot make up. Joan was incredible at listening to what I wanted and made me feel at ease the whole time. Plus, I loved talking with her about our love for our pets! Joan also did the make up for the bridesmaids, mothers of the bride and groom, flower girls, and me on the wedding day. She did an excellent job managing time and making sure each person had time for final touch ups before the ceremony. I have never felt more beautiful.

Rasha Sharif: I go there a lot to return my online orders or exchange them. I rarely will ship to be honest in this store. The customer service is ok and they let you self validate for the parking. I just find it easy for me to find what I want online then try it at home, keep what I like and return what is not working.
Breda Purdy: We went to Nordstrom to shop but found a gem: their restaurant. Everything we had was amazing from sandwiches to salads. I could not believe how wonderful the tomato soup tasted. The staff there could not be nicer.So glad we happened to wander in. Highly recommend.

Taylor Friedman: Love shopping here! Store is beautiful and spacious. They recently moved the men’s store to this location from down the street and it’s an excellent layout. Great selection of menswear and customer service is fantastic! Ryan has helped me out many times and I can’t recommend him enough although all the staff are great!

Charles Hanskat: Great location if attending a convention at the convention center. Easy access from the convention center metro station without needing to walk outside. Rooms face outside or inward to the atrium. Atrium rooms are quiet. Room size is on the small side but well appointed with large flat screen TV that has streaming services too. Internet access is fast and easy. Desk is a little limited in size. Bathroom is shower only but had plenty of light for shaving and makeup. Good sized closet with a safe too. Beds and bedding are typical Marriott quality that is quite comfortable. Staff are friendly. The M Club just opened back up and is well stocked for breakfast and appitizers in the evening.
Lou Costanza: Excellent location. The hotel has a lot of amenities. M Club is open 24 hours and has a delicious breakfast with lots of selections including bacon, eggs, oatmeal, smoked salmon, muffins, fresh fruit, etc. Staff are very friendly. Comfortable bedding, the bathroom is a decent size and there is a safe in the closet. Fast response to questions and/or service requests via the Marriott App. Really like this hotel!
Louis C: Beautiful, modern hotel with a huge lobby, tons of meeting space, and great views of the mall and capital building from the higher floors. Can’t beat the location if you’re going to the convention center. If you have access to the lounge you’re in for a treat. The fitness center is massive with tons of equipment. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Really, all around a great hotel.
Megan Meline: Beautiful hotel, great rooms and bathrooms, quiet and insulated from noise. I would absolutely stay here again. Was super convenient to get to the convention center on cold/rainy days in the underground terminal that connected the two. Loved the water features in the lobby, and the bar was a good size for how many people were always there.

John Tucker: Great location. Very nice staff. I had a base room with two full-sized beds. Only concern was that my top sheet was not long enough to tuck in...literally got in bed, pulled the covers up to my chest and felt a rush of air come from the bottom of the bed. Why housekeeping made the bed that was is beyond me... and when I tried to tuck it in, it was too short at the top to even come within 2 or 3 feet of the top of the headboard. Nice room otherwise.
Annette Tatum: Beautiful hotel, walking distance to all the monuments and the White House. Do not waste your money on a rental car because its easier to walk and not have to worry about parking. Excellent location and staff, will recommend giving this place a try when in Washington, DC.

Patrick Hill: Excellent all around. First off, the location is perfect, tucked away from K Street and close to Rock Creek making it more of a quiet location relative to other parts of the city. The building, lobby etc all look very new, clean and crisp. The room itself was large, modern and had a very comfortable bed. We had one of the Junior Suite with the half bath. It was a great deal using Hyatt Points and paying $100 for the upgrade over a standard room. Enjoyed arriving to fresh cookies as well from the staff. Very nice touch. My one gripe with many Hyatt properties is the pocket door for main bathrooms however the pocket door at the Park Hyatt was substantial and allowed for more privacy. We had both dinner and breakfast room service and both meals were fantastic, delivered on time and well worth the price. I assume everything was cooked from Blue Duck Tavern which has rave reviews. I did not have the opportunity to check out the pool or fitness center, but can only imagine those facilities are top notch. Finally the staff were all friendly and polite. The service like that matters. I look forward to returning again soon.
Chris Turner: This was our first time staying at the Park Hyatt and it was a wonderful experience. The moment we arrived, the bellhop Jorge, gave us a warm welcome and helped us unload our luggage and four young kids. When we checked in, our room did not have a great view so they upgraded us to the Georgetown Suite and it was phenomenal! The room was gorgeous, spacious, and comfortable. The room service was delicious, especially the breakfast. When we were ready to check out, Jorge once again warmly greeted us and helped us bring our luggage down and load it into our car. I know it can be hard to work on Christmas, but the staff were cheerful and warm. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in DC.
Vivian Cheng: Great hotel. Got a junior suite, which was spacious and comfortable. Good lighting in the room too. It was clean and well-maintained. Not a lot of street noise, which is always a bonus. Amenities are nice. Shower pressure is low, but the shower is spacious. Note: Blue Duck Tavern is worth a visit. Also, hotel is about 7 minutes from the Foggy Bottom metro stop.

The room clean spacious and comfortable. This location perfect for access to great dining and fun dining.
Sek Eun John Lee: My wife, our 20-month-old son, and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Park Hyatt Washington DC. Staff members were welcoming and professional. Our suite was widely-spaced and gave our family much-needed privacy. Food via room service from Blue Duck Tavern was delicious. Location of the hotel was amazing given its proximity to Georgetown and Dupont Circle. We will definitely stay here again.
Adam Wilton: This was my first stay at a Park Hyatt property and I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I had an amazing stay and it is now one of my favorite hotels/brands. The service is excellent with the front desk staff being super friendly and professional - some of the best service I have ever experienced at a hotel. The room was very nice and clean with high end amenities and finishes. Since I booked through AMEX’s FHR program, I received a $100 property credit which I was able to use for room service at the Blue Duck Tavern which had excellent food - truly some of the best food I’ve ever had. Unfortunately there is only valet parking available so I just parked at a George Washington University parking ramp which was much cheaper, but the hotel is actually quite reasonably priced and rivaled some much more expensive 5-star hotels I’ve stayed at. Overall, the Park Hyatt brand shocked me on how nice it is, and I intend to visit more properties in the portfolio when I travel.

K H: I came to this location to return some cosmetics items that were not the best for my skin. I was helped by the two Fatimas. They were some of the most pleasant and professional sales associates I have ever dealt with. These two made my experience so enjoyable that I would more than likely return to this location in the future. I am so grateful for their outstanding customer service. I will likely return to this location although Tysons is closer to home for me. Thank you to both Fatimas!!!
