Poetry: My experience here was amazing. My daughter was able to find her beautiful prom dress here at Signature. It was many selections and styles to choose from and Ms. Bobbie and the owner (can't remember her name) was very helpful and professional. Will definitely be coming back and referring people to this store.
Leah: I have purchased my prom dress from this boutique and have had such a great experience! The staff was so welcoming and supportive, and the boutique itself had so much energy. Although it is a small store, there were so many unique dresses to choose from and the boutique provides alteration services for their dresses, which was convenient. I highly recommend this boutique for those of you who are looking for a prom dress shopping experience!
CR CR: We needed a dress shop ASAP after finding out her dress wasn't ordered. I googled and Signature popped up first and happened to be the same store she saw online. She had wonderful experience being 18 and alone. Staff was friendly (I was on the phone) and although she got a different dress, it was was gorgeous. Definitely recommend this store and YES the website is legit.
Briana Esp: The customer service was amazing and everybody there was so nice! I loved almost every single dress I tried on, and if I told them it’s too big they always told me that’s okay and they can help with that. I honestly loved it here! 😭 I wish I could stay forever lol!
Chloe Mizrahi: Absolutely amazing dresses, people, and help!! Whenever I need a dress for a pageant or prom this is where I go and tell my friends to go. Everyone especially the owner is so so sweet. Everyone is so helpful and makes sure u have the right dress. It can be stressful at times but they make sure everything goes smoothly. She accommodates everyone’s needs, even I go I go with my sisters as well. Even when the store is so busy during prom and pageant season she helps everyone!! THE BEST PLACE EVER!!
Gina Shawl: Dresses are gorgeous but alterations not so good. My daughters dress first came back as a high low which it was not suppose to be and the way it was altered in waist line made it too tight in the hips. Second alteration in fixing the high low now dress was too long. They should really have a tailor in store to mark measurements. Also the communication wasn’t good never was told when the dress came in both times. 2 days before prom and we decided we just had to live with it!

Kayla Rivadeneira: This place is my absolute favorite!!! It was very professional, clean and helped me find the perfect prom dress! The owner was so kind to guide me to the dress of my dreams as well as making sure I was comfortable, safe and happy. I would definitely recommend.

Juanita Beltran: The store was actually very beautiful and very well put together however the store only caters to one type of woman my daughter being plus size went to the store in hopes of finding a pageant dress. It was only one dress that she was given to Try on and the sales people were very standoffish and the vibe that you got was that she was treated differently I was sitting outside and watching how they interacted with the more skinnier persons who came into the store as a opposed to my daughter she was completely ignored we even asked if they were other dresses if she could try and And we were told I’m not sure and the sizes they were suggested we’re not even for her, the sales people and the owner push the dress so hard and wasn’t taking her feelings into consideration. No don’t give me wrong these girls and this lady can sell the pants off somebody but this mama bear was not impressed or buying it, it was all fake no real substance or truth to their salesmanship and did not appreciate how my daughter was treated as opposed to the other people in the store because she’s plus size. Truthfully was so ready to drop good money for a dress so happy I didn’t- I am all about Stellar customer service and will pay for that stellar customer service but unfortunately I did not find it at the store

We tried to explain to you best that our very petite sizes and our plus sizes are always the first to sell out in stores because it’s not often people find stores that sells ready-to-buy xxs, xs, 00, 0 or sizes 18-26. We tried our best to explain to you that even though we currently didn’t have it in store because it’s prime prom/pageant season, we could absolutely look into ordering the perfect dress for your daughter’s pageant. We had an amazing time with your daughter Anya, she was so funny, witty, beautiful and sweet. We would love to work with you guys! Shannon Giddens: After getting blindsided by a custom dress designer yesterday three weeks before my daughter’s prom and encountering a rude boutique owner (In Annapolis) this afternoon. We reached out to Signature and Bobbi answered the phone and just the greeting on phone made us feel like the day will get better. Our experience with Bobbi was amazing from the initial phone call to completing our transaction. She picked out a dress that appeared to have been made for my daughter and picked the perfect accessories to go with the dress . After all we encountered in the last 24 hours, we were able to find the perfect dress and our prayers were answered. Thank you Signature, especially Bobbi for turning this frantic prom dress search to a beautiful experience. My daughter is still smiling and can’t wait to pick up her dress. PS. I also saved a couple of dollars. WONT HE DO IT!!!

Maggie Bowman-jones: We had an appointment scheduled for one of my bridesmaids on Friday- her flight was changed and we had to cancel and try moving to Saturday. Tiana was amazing and noted the new flight time and got us in for Saturday. God knows it’s hard to work in retail right now, but I’ve found the staff at all BHLDN Locations I’ve visited to be so kind and helpful- they truly do try their best to accommodate when they can. The studio upstairs in Georgetown is also so quiet and super private compared to other BHLDN locations which was also a plus.
Samantha K: I’d love to give 5 stars! The staff were a dream to work with. They clipped and zipped me whenever I needed help. Reps emailed me a list of seamstress in the area, which was helpful too. The offer limited sizes to try on and like what another reviewer said the dresses are in poor condition but they were good enough to get an idea. I liked the dressing room size and setup. The reason why I am giving four stars is because of their lighting in the entire dressing room. The only lights that were helpful were in the fitting room but not where you walk out to show your friends what the dresses look like on you. That lighting was not great on me. My dress was shipped to the wrong address. I called and the rep said she fixed my address. Hopefully, the dress arrives. Mistakes happen. Parked in a lot for $12/day but there is a garage in the building that BHLDN is in.
Courtney W: I came to BHLDN as a bridesmaid to try on dresses. Our consultant (do not know her name) was not good. She was not very friendly or helpful. We felt like we had to ask her to do things that she should’ve already been doing. She made a comment towards me that made me feel horrible about my size. She rushed the bride at the end of the appointment in a rude manner. The bride had come here before and had an opposite experience with another consultant, so i know they’re not all like this.
Yasemina Julia Paraskeva: Recently scheduled an appointment to try on bridal gowns at Bhldn’s Gtown location. They had a broad variety of gowns and an ample fitting room. I received excellent service from Sloane - she was very thorough in explaining the ordering process and in helping me determine my size. She was very attentive. I highly recommend her when making bridal gown try-on appointments at Bhldn Georgetown!
Joy Lyle: Stopped in the store last minute to look at the wedding dresses. The consultant Ellie was so kind and accommodating. Wonderful experience! 😊
Emily Dohogne: The sample dresses to try on are in rough shape - there was pilling, stains, and pulls on much of the dresses’ fabrics. They need to be replaced. It’s difficult to get a visual image of the gowns because of the state of their conditions. Overall, it was a good appointment. Our stylist was nice and helpful and honest, but again, the state of the dresses really brings down the experience and expectations of these thousand dollar dresses.
Hayley Hoaglund: I was very excited to try on BHLDN's dresses! They are beautiful and just my style but unfortunately the service was awful and I left feeling flustered and frustrated. Our stylist, Gabriella, was extremely pushy and only let me try on 4 dresses. I pointed out others I liked but she would not let me try them, and proceeded to count down the minutes until the appointment time was over. My family flew in from the midwest to accompany me, and she would not wait for my own mom to see the dress on me before she had me change, stating "only 15 minutes left, there is no time" and pushing my mom out of the dressing room. I left in tears about how she made us feel, the confrontations that we had, and that my family had flown across the country for an experience like that. I am extremely disappointed. BHLDN needs to work on making the brides feel beautiful and valued before they will ever get my business!
Ryan Beigel: Even though I didn't find my dress here, my stylist Savannah was awesome. Loved how laid back and patient she was and she pulled some great dresses with different silhouettes. I think that this store is best for brides looking for a boho look at an affordable price. Definitely recommend making an appointment for sure.
Emily Hewitt: I absolutely loved my wedding dress shopping experience thanks to BHLDN Georgetown! I was absolutely in love with the Cecily Gown (which at the time was on final sale) and I desperately wanted to be able to try it on and see it in person instead of taking a risk & ordering it online (final sale dresses are not returnable). I was able to make an appointment for a fitting 24 hours before going in. I went to BHLDN with my mom on my lunch break (thank goodness I worked in DC and was so close by!) and Calla, our sales associate, was so sweet! Of course I tried on the Cecily Gown first (AND FELL IN LOVE!!), but I also tried on other dresses as well. Calla quickly figured out my style and brought me more dresses I hadn't noticed before to try on too. I knew the Cecily Gown was "the one" and after purchasing, my mom and I were allowed to relax in the store for a bit longer and enjoy some complimentary champagne. I don't know what BHLDN is like on a weekend, but I can say that shopping on a weekday was amazing. It was like a personal, private shopping experience (I should add this was pre-COVID pandemic). Additionally, months later, when I decided it was time to purchase a veil, I e-mailed BHLDN Georgetown and asked if they had a veil in stock that I tried on at my fitting. Unfortunately that veil was no longer available but Lauren recommended the Scalloped Fingertip Veil which was very similar. She even gave me a free shipping code for it! I felt like an absolute princess on my wedding day in the Cecily Gown and Scalloped Fingertip Veil and I can't thank BHLDN Georgetown enough for their help! I love BHLDN wedding dresses and they are so much more affordable compared to other bridal salons. I highly recommend and wish I could have another wedding simply to wear another BHLDN gown! :)
Stephanie Song: I've been to 3 BHLDN locations (NYC, Devon, and Georgetown) and this is the best one by far. My stylist, Cora, was so helpful and accommodating. She didn't pressure me at all, or make me feel rushed, even though I was half an hour late due to traffic. She took time to listen to what I wanted and gave me non-pushy suggestions for dresses that would fit my body/venue well.

Shavonne Perry: BEWARE! They have HORRIBLE customer service!! Not ideal for weddings and proms if you want to guarantee you will have the dress you want in time!!! They do not allow refunds!! Us Bridesmaids decided to get our dresses here. They did not measure everyone correctly first off. We ordered the dresses months in advance. Some paid for their dresses in full. During those months she was not responsive, she didn't call the bride back for months. Other people had to call the shop for her to answer. The day our dresses were supposed to be there for our dress fitting (with people coming from out of town), they were not there yet and she didn't communicate that to anybody. The bride's grandmother had to call her that week and she finally answered. Even though the bride had just called right before that and left a message and the shop told her she was unavailable. Finally, the one time she called the bride back, she told the bride that the dresses would not be delivered until a week before the wedding, and that was not guaranteed. So, we had to come up with a plan B. They offered her some dresses from their warehouse which was unacceptable and nothing like the original dress. We ended up getting dresses off the rack at David's Bridal, which matched the color and original style (which had excellent customer service and was very helpful!). When the bride asked for a refund for those dresses (when did still did not have them), the owner stated that we signed agreements that did not allow for refunds. Only two bridesmaids has signed agreements. The other 4 bridesmaids (including myself) had never seen or signed such agreement. She still refused to give a refund for our dresses. DO NOT SHOP HERE! Save your money and patience. :)
Danaeka Wilkes: I am the bride and my bridesmaids decided to get their dresses from this shop. This has been the worst experience that i ever had. Their staff is uninformed and appears to be inexperienced. They didn’t appropriately measure my bridal party, they ordered the dresses in sizes too large, and they up charged for a unnecessary rush delivery. They didn’t contact us once the dresses were back, my maid of honor had to call to see if they were returned yet. I am actually advising my bridal party not to get the alterations done with them. This nightmare is not over, hopefully we can pick up the dresses and go on our merry way. If you want to enjoy your bridal experience, run away from this shop, fast. I would give them less that one star, but this application won’t let me.
Mia Laze: I am paying for my dress and service. I don’t get why I was treated like they were doing me a favor. 1. I am a dress size 6 and the lady insisted j order a 12 saying I might gain weight between now and then 2. The alteration was almost 1000$ and I asked an estimate just so I know before my alteration appointment... u know just a ball park. This number was just dropped on me and I was in shock. 3. After all of this was done I had to go and pick up my dress. I cancelled the appointment twice Because I had other things to take care of that were urgent and the other time I just forgot. The lady had the audacity to tell me if I cancelled anymore I can not pick up my dress!! Lol I paid over 2000 dollars for this and all you had to do was hold it for me. The alteration lady was awesome tho
Monique Wise: I believe myself and the entire wedding party that I was a part of were provided dresses of the wrong size. I provided my measurements which I can admit may seem like a different size, but when I wrote that I am a dress size 4 I should have never been provided with a size 10. In addition to the hundreds I spent on the dress I then had to go spend a substantial amount to get the dress altered to actually fit me. All of this was after being shoo'd out of the store after picking up the dress because an appointment to pick up (what's the point?) is different than an appointment to try on a dress. There was one person in the boutique and I still wasn't allowed into the empty dressing rooms after paying for my dress. I would never recommend this place to anyone!
Tracy Clark: My daughter was told at the last minute that she couldn't get the prom dress she wanted and placed a deposit on months in advance. So we had to choose from something she was not that excited about and the company didn't even give some discount from their mishap.
Rachel Dance: My sister called over a week ahead to schedule an appointment based on the employee on the phone stating that they had a specific Pronovias gown. She had difficulty finding this specific gown all over the DC area, and was excited to finally have an appointment to try it on. She called again the day before to confirm they had the gown, and was told yes they did. The first thing the employee in this shop did that 'greeted us' was scold us immediately for having drinks. We had no problem putting our drinks out, but that's no way to greet a bride and her family when they're preparing to drop a significant amount of money in your shop. She then proceeded to open the dressing room door to show my sister the gowns she pulled, and the gown my sister called twice about was not in the room. When we asked about the dress, she asked to see a photo because she said she wasn't familiar with the dress. My sister pulled up a photo from their website of the dress, and she said 'oh yeah, I think we might have had that but maybe we sold it'. My sister then proceeded to tell her that she called yesterday and whoever was on the phone confirmed they had the dress in the store. She said she would look into it and went into their office. When she came out she said 'okay let's get to trying these on'. She said nothing about the dress in question, did not help my sister see what the long sleeve dresses would look like on her arms until prompted multiple times by family members and my sister. When we left there was no 'so sorry we couldn't help, or thanks for coming'. Nothing. My sister left crying at how disrespected and mislead she felt. I would never recommend this shop and their unhelpful staff , especially to someone trying to find a wedding gown for one of the most important days in their lives.
Brandon Jones: If I could give this business a negative one star I would. Their behavior was horrible!!!!!!! From the owner to the staff. The owner lost his objectivity and berated me as a customer after my complaint. I had a horrible experience at this store. Following my terrible experience I spoke with the owner only for him to add insult to injury by defending the negative behavior and poor attitude of his staff. He offered one excuse after another, and as a matter of fact the owner stated, that he felt that his employees "deserved a pat on the back" in response to my complaint of the horrible customer service that I received. This store did not value my business and made no apologies for the terrible treatment that my daughter and I received from their store. Their lack of care and poor customer service has caused my daughter to now be without a wedding veil and her wedding day is fast approaching. We should have been aware of this possibility ahead of time. We selected the veil at the time we selected the dress and if there was a danger in the veil not being able to arrive on time for the wedding date we should have been told. We were told that we had time to order the veil and that the worst case scenario would be that we would be able to purchase the store sample. We expected more but we have learned a valuable lesson. We should have read the reviews before we selected this vendor to purchase my daughter's Pronovias wedding gown. If I ever have to purchase another Pronovias dress I will contact them directly to have them recommend another one of their vendors. Always go where your business is valued and my business was not valued at this store.

Kaitlyn Hegarty: Bella Bridesmaids was so cute! I loved the layout of the space. Secluded with very simple modern decor. Liz was absolutely wonderful with helping me find the perfect dress that fit my body and personality. She was also very warm and friendly. I would highly recommend this place.

Lia Konieczny: Their dresses are extremely overpriced and I received terrible customer service when trying to arrange the pickup of my dress. For context, the bride and other bridesmaids are based out of DC but I made a fitting appointment and ordered my dress from the Richmond location. At the time of my in store order, the consultant said that I was good to go and they’d call me when my dress arrived in Richmond. Fast forward almost 6 months later, after trying to track my dress down over the past two weeks (I received an email on 3/10 saying my order had arrived and they would be shipping them out to us the next day), the DC office said they had the dress and apologized for the mixup and told me to send them an I address so they could ship it to me, there was NO mention of an additional charge or that they would not ship the dress to another Bella location. Today, they informed me that it would be an additional $26.50 for them to ship the dress to my home address as they do NOT ship dresses between locations. It’s absolutely ridiculous that this information was NEVER communicated to me at any point during this process and I will be highly discouraging my friends and family from using Bella in the future.

Emily Lagos: I had a wonderful experience with Bella Bridesmaids in DC. Especially Sheri the owner who took special care of me and my girls. The dresses were beautiful, arrived in a timely manner and looked amazing on all my bridesmaids. Bella has tons of selections which is why I selected them for my Wedding Day. Although the price was high it was worth it. All my girls loved their dresses and had the option to get some money back for them by selling them to other Bridesmaids/Ladies for other events. Choose Bella-They are GREAT!
Abigail Shiman: This Bella Bridesmaids location is incredible! The mixed reviews made me a little nervous, but if you're wondering whether to go in, do it! I was shopping for my small wedding ceremony and Stacy and Hunter were both so helpful. The online booking process was easy - Hunter even called me ahead of time because I'm shopping last minute and he wanted to confirm my details. Once in the store, I felt completely taken care of, was able to try on a big variety of styles, and ended up with two dresses I could go with. Stacy knew I wasn't sure, so she set my profile up online and I calmly ordered a dress when I got home. She was fantastic with sizing me correctly, helping me figure out what I wanted in a dress, and made me feel at ease. So grateful!
nicole flores: I’m so disappointed and irritated with this place. We picked it, because it looked like they had a lot of options. Please don’t waste your time and money. My friend’s wedding is two weeks away we still don’t have the dresses, this order was placed back in April. The store associate have not been helpful or try to give options to resolve this issue, they have the audacity to say “we don’t know where the dresses are” there is a contract in place were it clearly states *BY PLACING THIS ORDER, I UNDERSTAND THERE ARE NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES AND AGREE WITH ALL THE TERMS STATED IN THIS CONTRACT AND POLICY FORM AND AUTHORIZE BELLA BRIDESMAID TO CHARGE THE CREDIT CARD ON FILE. How about when they do not comply with the contract. I still cannot believe the lack of customer service, and the stress that they put people on their wedding planning.
Response: Hi Nicole, Thank you for your feedback. We truly value all of our customers. We have been in contact with the bride regarding the order for her wedding. Due to COVID's impact on logistics the designer has been delayed in shipping the dresses. While we are unable to take responsibility for the impacts of COVID and the designer logistical challenges, our top priority has been to notify the bride and provide solutions to the best of our ability. We are so deeply sorry and have never had this experience prior to COVID. We are very disappointed, but are aiming to exercise patience and understanding with our partner during this challenging time.
Kylie Kies: pros: lots of options, a variety of price points cons: shipping delays, communication, charges for extra length ($20 on a $190 dress for someone who is 5'9") and shipping ($25) TLDR- I ended up cancelling my bridal party's orders 4 weeks from the wedding. Do not recommend. more info on shipping delays: My group's dresses were supposed to arrive last week. No one reached out to let us know they were delayed. I reached out thursday evening. Friday morning they said the dresses were delayed due to COVID but that they had confirmed the dresses were made and would confirm an ETA later that day. I understand there are supply chain issues due to COVID so wasn't shocked, but they should have proactively told me instead of waiting for me to inquire. I did not hear back on Friday. On Monday evening, I reached out requesting an update. It is now Tuesday evening. I have not heard from them since Friday morning and my wedding is in 4 weeks. I heard back wednesday morning. The dresses are now expected to arrive 2-3 WEEKS after the initial date provided. I totally get that the factory has COVID delays. I would expect to at least get some sort of refund since my girls may now end up with less than 2 weeks to get their alterations done. Based on other reviews im now afraid that we might end up with a wrong color or size and we will end up having to scramble to find something else. Update: we decided to cancel the order. We placed the order within the time frame they recommended. I get COVID has messed with things and some things are out of their control, but I do expect them to try to communicate everything and do what they can. On another note, they charge $25 per dress for shipping, which seems very high to me and was not disclosed when I picked the dresses. I expect that they will at least overnight the dresses when they do arrive.
Sheryl Greene: I am extremely disappointed with Bella Bridesmaids DC. I went in March to get measured for a bridesmaids dress. That same day, I also got fitted for a different Bridesmaid dress at David's Bridal. The salesperson who helped us at Bella's took my measurement and told me I was a size 8 for the dress I would be ordering. I told the salesperson my concern that size 8 would be too large as I had just ordered a size 2 for my other dress that day, and normally wear a size 2 or size 4 (I am 5'3, ~115-120 lbs). However, because of the limited sized Bella's has in store, I went with his suggestion as he was the professional and noted how different Bella's sizes were..Plus, I was not able to try on any dress smaller than a size 10 or 12, I believe. Fast forward 4 months later when my dress came in late July. The dress is HUGE on me, as I feared (with only 5 weeks until the wedding). After conversations with the sales people there, I emailed and they agreed to refund me for the alterations to take the dress in multiple places. Fast forward 3 months and I have NOT received my refund for the $100 of alterations I had to get (excluding the hem) that they promised me. I have called and emailed over 15 times since August. Completely unprofessional. The dress itself was nice and decent quality. It looked nice for my friend's wedding, which I'm glad. Everything else was an extreme let down and I would not recommend Bella's to anyone. I just hope I get paid back for the alterations. I will not be back.
Jessica Clingerman: This was such a good experience. I'm so glad I went in to try stuff on. I have never been in a bridal party and I hate being fussy. The owner, I think her name is Liz, helped me with my fitting. She suggested dresses and sizes that would work for me. She listened to all my concerns and made me feel comfortable.i didn't feel bad for having to try on a bunch of dresses. I would have definitely gotten the wrong size if she didn't help.
Jamie Davis: Great experience! The process was very easy for all my bridesmaids that were in different locations. Bella Bridesmaids kept me in the loop and let me now once all of my bridesmaids dresses were ordered/delivered etc. Bride recommended!

Lauren Otto: I wanted to visit Lovely Bride from the moment I heard about them. I just knew it was my bridal shop and I knew I would find my dress with them. I knew from some previous bridal shop experiences that I wanted a dress by Made With Love. I had already fell in love with two/three styles and was eager to try on more and maybe find something that was a perfect balance of all the aspects of the dresses that I loved. When I saw that Lovely Bride was having a Made With Love trunk show, I wanted to scream with excitement. Unfortunately, as soon as I had found out, upon attempting to book an appointment online, I realized that they had no more appointments available during the week of the trunk show. I was devastated. So, I called the shop directly and asked if it was possible at all to be put on a waitlist or anything that would allow me a chance to go to the trunk show and I explained how badly I wanted to be able to be there. The stylist I spoke with over the phone excitedly told me that she had a couple appointments that she could offer me and of course, I accepted. I had my appointment mid November and my aunt accompanied me. Like I said, this wasn't my first time visiting a bridal shop and I pretty much knew exactly what I wanted to try on and what I was ultimately looking for. Danielle, the manager, was my stylist for my appointment and she was AMAZING. She made me feel at home, she gave me her honest thoughts and she was also straight-forward with me. I felt very comfortable at Lovely Bride and with Danielle as my stylist. The best part, I ultimately found my dress. Their dresses are a little pricier than they would have been closer to my home in Richmond, but the experience made it worth it for me. With the trunk sale going on, I also received a special discount, which I only found out about when I went to "check out." That was just a bonus! All in all, I strongly recommend Lovely Bride. Skip the other shops, and just book an appointment with them. You know you want to and you won't regret it!
Maddie: I went to 4 bridal studios before buying my dress and had the best experience at lovely bride!! Danielle was truly the best and so helpful. I was starting to get nervous and discouraged about my search for a dress but when i went to lovely bride i tried on about 4 dresses before i found the one, all of which i liked more than any dress i had tried up to that point. Emma Kinev: Was never shopping for clothes in Washington, other things, not ladies wear. That is until I walked into Lily the First boutique in Georgetown. At first glance one sees it has a unique selection from designers from around the world.The trends are today’s but the style is what one can wear, plus one can find an outfit for many occasions and that will come with proper accessories if you need them too. The jewelry in a store actually attracts shoppers who come to see and buy just that before evening on town. Ifat travels and hand picks designers in Italy, France, Israel for both clothing and jewelry. All in great taste, plus the atmosphere in a store is that what women want. Great experience, a must for those who seek a good place for shopping in Washington. Let alone a significant charitable work this place does for the community. Strongly recommended.

This wonderful boutique features clothes for every type of woman, as well as jewelry, scarves, and bags, from designers in Europe, Israel, and the US. They are all hand picked by the owner, Ifat Pridan, who makes shopping for clothes refreshing and fun. I am retired and I always find clothes here that I can wear every day, or for special occasions and when I travel. They are stylish, comfortable, pack easily and travel well. I have worn my Lili the First purchases, clothing and jewelry, on my travels through out the US and Europe and have always received compliments. Tiffany P: Bianca was my consultant and she was incredible! She has true education and passion for fashion and design, which made her a joy to work with! Because of her background, she identified the technical details and construction of dresses that I love and pulled lots of winners. There was no guessing or awkward guiding because she *got* it. Of all my dress shopping, she made the most easy and authentic experience. The other consultants that were present were all so nice and hyped me up in a very genuine way. It was a very positive place to be.Their professionalism, knowledge of fashion and customer care is next level. The shop is very beautiful and professionally designed, it feels so special to be there and the bridal suite layout is perfect. It was so fun to have the area for guests right next to the fitting space, and to have the drama of a curtain being pulled back to show everyone the dress. It was also nice to not have to walk across a shop to go look a mirror everytime. They had a wide selection of price points and styles, and the designers they carry are all amazing. I thought I wouldn't be able to afford any dresses from here since they carry some bespoke legends, but I was happily surprised. Overall, Carine's and Bianca gave perfect bridal experience that you've imagined since you were a kid and you should treat yourself with a visit.
Marissa Metil: My experience at Carines was unforgettable! Bianca was my consultant and she was SO friendly and truly seemed so excited when I found my dress. When I went to pick it up from alterations a week before my wedding, she (who had not seen me since I picked my dress a year ago) was so excited to see me and was genuinely so happy for me! The team was great and the boutique was of course beautiful!
Breana Fischer: I'm so disappointed in this business. I reached out in May to schedule a dress fitting and was told that there was no rush and to reach back out in August to setup my fitting and alternations appointment. This made me a bit nervous, but I decided to wait because I really wanted to use them to work on my dress. I reached out in July to ensure that everything was in order and that I was on their list for August alterations. Unfortunately, I was told that they could no longer honor my request and that they had no availability. I was shocked. I followed their process and had email communications with their team. There was no apology or recommendations to other businesses, which even furthered my disappointment. My wedding is in late September, so now I'm scrambling trying to find a different business to alter my dress. This business' professionalism and how they handled this situation is completing unprofessional, and for a business where alterations start at $950, I expected more.
Megan Cairns: I love carine’s! The dresses were beautiful and high end and the inventory was fantastic. I worked with Briana who was amazing! She instantly understood my style and pulled perfect dresses for me. She was sweet and accommodating. She worked with me for multiple appointments and never became impatient. I was able to really explore the different styles and figure out what I wanted. While I didn’t end up purchasing my wedding dress from Carine’s, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend.
Kylie Kies: great selection of dresses! alterations are expensive ($950) and can only be done on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so keep that in mind, but you can get them done somewhere else. they also didn't tell me when my dress came in.
Marjan: They have a well-rounded and exclusive selection of designers, so I'll give them 3 stars for that and the beautiful interior of the boutique. However, I did not enjoy the service. First it took over a week to even book an appointment since they don't answer phones and don't have an online booking system. It is all done via email with responses that take 24 hours or more. Very annoying especially if you want to get into a trunk show or have simple questions. My consultant happened to be the owner, which I had no idea about since she didn't even introduce herself. I found out after the appointment, when I looked at the receipt. She was just pushy, cold, passive, and did not connect with me. She spent more time chatting with my fiancé than with me. This is supposed to be a memorable and once in a lifetime experience for a bride, so you expect the best. It just felt patronizing and I honestly felt like I was bothering HER by being there. No one wants to feel that way, especially not bridal shopping. I ended up buying a dress just because I wanted to be done with the situation...I really wasn't thinking clearly. When I got home, I realized I really didn't want to give my business to a place with such bad service. I'd rather it go to another boutique. Service is so important to me, and this place did not deliver at all. I contacted them to cancel the dress. It was within the window to cancel, so I did it and got the dress elsewhere. There was a $65 Covid fee, which I haven't encountered at any other boutique. They said it's to cover the cost of sanitation etc. I've been to so many other boutiques and never had to pay. Just something to note.
Ilana Naidamast: Carine’s Bridal/Aisle is truly the Kleinfeld of the DMV. Carine is the fairy godmother of bridal gowns and while I didn’t find my dress here, she taught me SO much about what I want in a dress. Carine was extremely knowledgeable and put so much thought, effort, and time into my appointment. I felt like an absolute princess. We talked for about 5 minutes before shopping through the racks and she knew my style right away. I have tried on a lot of dresses, none of which came close to “the one” until I visited Carine’s. Lastly, my appointment was in person during COVID and the $45 cleaning fee was SO worth it. She takes the ultimate amount of caution to stay safe, clean, and social distance. Cannot recommend Carine’s enough. Everything about this store and the experience feels magical.
Kate Guilfoyle: From the first time I visited Carine's last October and worked with Bri to my final dress pickup, I had a truly wonderful experience with you all. I felt special each and every time I visited and so appreciated the warmth, enthusiasm, and expertise you offered! Bri was such a joy and played arguably one of the most important roles in my wedding - finding me that perfect dress! I ended up getting the first one she put on me, one I didn't expect would be it from first glance but that became my absolute dream dress. She was sweet, knowledgable, and fun to be around - a perfect fit for an important appointment! I worked with Rosana for fittings and her attention to detail was incredible. She made sure the dress would be perfect and was extremely helpful at each of my three fittings. Everyone else that helped, chatted, etc. every time I visited was wonderful as well! I truly adore my dress and felt more beautiful on the wedding day than ever before - as cliche as it might sound.

Hannah Kaufman: I purchased my wedding gown and accessories from Zoya’s and am so happy with the overall experience. I purchased a Suzanne Neville gown - this is definitely the place to come to in the DMV area if you are interested in SN gowns (which you should be - they are amazing!). Amy was so lovely during all of my fittings and saved the day when the veil I originally planned to wear didn’t work. I was a little nervous as a plus size bride (street size 16) about wedding dress shopping in general, but the Zoya’s team was great and I had no issues. I felt 100% beautiful on our wedding day.
Jessica Nguyen: Zoya’s Atelier is HANDS DOWN the best bridal boutique in the area. Having gone through a few “big” names, I can honestly say that I am so glad I said yes to my dress at Zoya’s. Immediately upon walking in, Amy made me feel so at ease and so comfortable. It was such a different experience than anywhere else. She listed to me, asked questions and really understood what I was wanted. She was never pushy about making the sale. If I said no to a dress, she immediately took it into account for the next and not show me the same style. She wanted me to be in love with the dress and nothing else. Alterations was amazing as well after the fact. Zoya herself made sure everything was done to perfection. She’s super sweet!! The entire alterations team is so professional and you can tell they will never send you home with a dress that’s not up to their standards. Do yourself a favor and go to Zoya’s Atelier!! They treat you like family and not just another bridal sale.

Anna Moreland: Amy and her team made my experience of choosing and perfecting my dream wedding dress one of the absolute best parts of the wedding planning process! julie huang: I dropped in 2 weeks before a big event that I still didn’t have a dress for; Zoya, Doris and her team attended to me straightway and managed to find me perfect gown. Although it was several sizes off and there was no time to order it in the right size, their seamstresses got me sewed into it so it fit like a glove and was comfortable, as well. It was an expensive experience, but a positive one and well worth the splurge — I looked and felt like a million bucks afterward. You only live once!

Tina Truong: If you're on the hunt for your wedding day fit and you have no idea where to start, I highly recommend coming to Zoya's first thing. Beautiful shop, gorgeous gown selections. A huge shout out to Amy for listening to what I had envisioned my wedding gown to be and for respectfully encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have found my beautiful Suzanne Neville gown (and never in a million years would I have thought to try the exact style on, etc). It gives me anxiety thinking about what my gown hunt would be like if I didn't come to Zoya's. As most bride-to-bes know, planning a wedding isn't easy. Amy's kindness and communication has made gown shopping effortless for me, and now, it's one less thing I have to worry about. My gown was a teensy bit out of my budget, but trust me, you get what you're paying for. It is an investment unlike any other and you will thank yourself for it. I was initially discouraged trying on other gowns at the first store, and almost settled for a gown that was just mediocre but two thirds the price. The design of this Suzanne Neville gown Amy recommended makes me feel so beautiful, comfortable, and structurally supported (ladies with the larger busts, you know what I'm talking about!!). I am absolutely looking forward to dancing my wedding night away without any worries!

Kate Thomasson: Where do I even start?! I loved every minute of my experience at Zoya’s Atelier and especially that I got to work with Zoya herself! I made an appointment for a trunk show event to try on a specific dress I’ve had my eye on since the designer published it in their new collection. After having been to a few other bridal shops and not finding anything special or really feeling like it was a true wedding dress shopping experience, I came to Zoya’s. Best decision ever. She sat down with my mom, sister and I and went over the form I filled out, the store layout, and our favorite part was how they do the alterations in-house! Zoya is calming, friendly, a perfectionist (we love that!) and as another reviewer said - truly like a fairy godmother. I would trust her with anything! She set aside the dress I came in for to be the last to try on, she picked a few dresses she thought would look good on me and we picked a few I thought I’d like. The first dress she put me in was her pick and it was STUNNING! Something I never would’ve picked for myself but I truly felt beautiful in it, the fabric was airy and light and a one of a kind dress. So that first dress became the one to beat as we tried on the others that just didn’t have the wow factor… until the last dress. The one I’ve had my eye on. I really didn’t expect to have “that feeling” that everyone refers to when you find the one but I did. I teared up a bit and really truly felt like wow, this is so me. It was a really tough choice because I also loved the first dress too! Zoya asked all the right questions, she was a true advocate for helping make the best decision for me and how I felt. So we took some time to think about it, made another appointment for a few days later to bring my parents in to see both dresses and make my decision. One thing that stuck with me was Zoya said to “go with the dress you’re most excited about” and let me tell you, I did not stop thinking about that last dress, I looked at the photos of it online multiple times a day and was so excited to put it back on!! We came back in, put both dresses on and I just knew it was the one. They had a champagne toast for us to celebrate, took a few photos with the Zoya’s Bride sign and had my measurements taken. At both appointments, I never felt rushed like I did in the other shops, it’s a big decision to make so I greatly appreciate the time taken to ensure I knew I was making the right decision! And with that being said, I know I made the right decision on the dress but more importantly to become a Zoya’s Bride! I trust the entire team and cannot be more excited to experience this journey with them! Thank you so much! 💕
Kaleigh Jones: After going to many other stores that made me feel rushed, judged, and hopeless, I finally discovered Zoya's and never turned back. The atelier shop is not pretentious or overwhelming - it feels like home and the quality of the dresses speak for themselves. My favorite part of working with the Zoya's team was the private appointment experience. No other clients were ever booked during my appointments (before and during covid), which I really loved. It felt like I was their most important customer every time. I also loved that Zoya & Amy personally knew the designer of my dress from London, which gave me extra confidence in their professional opinions and ability to execute perfect alterations. I have already recommended Zoya's to a best friend (who also happily found her dress there) and will continue to encourage all brides shopping for their dream dress to put full trust in Zoya's to help with this special shopping and alterations experience. Paige Raborn: Spread my ashes at this Anthro! (Only half joking.) Somehow an extremely well organized store despite its massive size, Georgetown Anthropologie has the best items and even better associates! The wonderful and hilarious Camila helped me make a few style decisions, and she is incredibly intuitive about personal taste and sizing. I will definitely be coming back the next time I visit DC.
Lion King: My all time favorite shopping place in the U. S.! Quiet and full of beautiful stuffs! D.C branch is one of the best one, the people work there are nice and beautiful, will help you find the things you want especially the one in the shoes area, we didn’t try shoes but she gave us some advices on coat!
Hannah Degn: The best anthro building in the the DC metro area! It’s 3 stories, always has an amazing sales section, and has a great home section too! It’s such a cute store and has such a large selection! Definitely worth browsing and trying things on that you see online!

Austin Graff: If you've been inside an Anthropologie before, this one is the same, but bigger. There are three floors to this one on M Street in D.C.'s Georgetown. Clothes and candles can be found on all three floors, but the home section is on the bottom floor with living rooms and dining rooms set up convincing you to buy a pillow. There's also a small kids section on the bottom floor too. One fun fact about Anthropologie is that the founders give a lot of their money away to causes like fighting modern-day slavery and human trafficking.

Jane Lyons: I had a great time working with Charlotte who made me feel very comfortable while trying on wedding dresses! This was the sixth wedding dress shop I'd been to (I know) and a top tier experience. There aren't a ton of dress options, but the ones that are there are very beautiful. Unlike other bridal shops, you can look online before you go to see if they have dresses you're interested in. Also, many other shops take 6-7 months to get you your dress whereas BHLDN only takes a month or less. However, there will be other brides in the shop trying on dresses at the same time, so it's not an exclusive experience. Even though I didn't end up selecting a dress from BHLDN (I went will a dress from a previous shop), I'd still recommend BHLDN to a friend.
Jessica Carns: Iris was a wonderful consultant. My brother is getting married and I scheduled an appointment for my mother to find a dress. She listened carefully, researched all the options available, stayed within price point preference, and provided input on fit and sizing. We found a dress and the other team members were equally helpful during the purchasing process. Finding mother of the bride/ groom dresses can be difficult and they made it such an easy, enjoyable process. My mom left with a huge smile and is so excited for her dress to arrive!
Courtney Elam: I much preferred when this shop had its own location. It feels cramped and a bit less special of an experience with people casually shopping around you. Dresses were stunning and good quality, but lacked options for more petite brides.
Samantha Bennett: I had a wonderful experience finding my wedding dress here in fall 2021! Both appointments went smoothly (the first was to try a bunch of dresses on, the second was to narrow it down between two options) and the staff were helpful. My dress was backordered so shipping took awhile, but I knew that when I ordered it. Super happy with my dress for my May wedding!
Ali Ruth: I was really pleased with my recent BHLDN appointment with Brettney as my stylist. I liked that this was a low-stress environment for looking at wedding dresses - I had time to browse on my own and pick out what I liked but also had help with trying on the dresses and received useful advice on different fabric options, tailoring options, and accessories. Julia Patton: My friends and I had an amazing time shopping for prom dresses at Ella Rue! The selection of gowns was plentiful and unique. This is the only shop we found in Georgetown that offers formal dresses that are special and different. Krista, the owner, was so sweet and helpful! She helped us pick out dresses and made our shopping experience special. She is so kind and definitely has an eye for what looks good on each client. My friend bought her beautiful prom dress here and we will definitely be back soon to shop again. I highly recommend Ella Rue for stunning pieces and a relaxing and fun shopping experience!
Christine Bethea: I would never visit this store again!!! Despite being from out of town with money burning a hole in my pocket, I could not bring myself to spend a dime in ANY PLACE that treats me with such disrespect. I was sent there by a neighboring shop, who had wonderful customer service, only to be treated like an outcast seconds later. I was meanly chastised for bringing in a wet umbrella, then watched like a hawk for the 20 minutes or so I decided to stay hoping she was just a nice lady having a bad day. Meanwhile she and her staff catered and practically, slobbered over to a wealthy mother and daughter duo. When I asked if there was any other vintage stores I might visit, she refused to give me the information, in spite of the fact that I was just referred to her! I had to find the several places on my own. And they agreed "she has a reputation." Ms. Rich's behavior mirrors her name. Unless you plan to spend tons of $$$$--and its obvious you will--this shop is NOT the place for you! Ella Rue is ELLA RUDE in a space much to tiny for such classist airs. May I remind Ms. Rich of a scene in Pretty Woman--Don't want my money? "Big mistake!."

Andrew's lifestyle: Ella rue is one of the most fantastic places in the heart of Georgetown. Not only have we purchased from there if also can sign there. Krista makes the consigning process fantastic and so effortless, your consignor payout is 10 times better than The RealReal. The quality of items they have is simply unmatched true gems from designers. They treat every single customer with the upmost respect whether you’re buying a $10 hair clip or a $4000 Chanel bag.
Jayni Rasmussen: I absolutely adore this shop. The co-owners are sweethearts, and I felt so special and taken care of while shopping here - such a nice contrast from the uppity attitudes of other consignment shops in DC. Amazing prices and an incredible variety of designers (including slow fashion, independent labels that are so often a rarity outside of NYC). I'm a pretty prolific thrifter and collector, so I'm fairly picky and hard to impress, but I left with a lovely selection of modern and vintage pieces about which I'm beyond excited. Definitely don't sleep on Ella Rue!

Carla Saavedra Kochalski: My go-to for fun office wear and dresses for any occasion. The designer combines flattering cuts with funky patterns that make it a perfect place to find something one-of-a-kind. I work in Tech, so dress code is casual, but I always feel dressed up in one of the designer's button ups. All of her blouses are silk, which make them perfect for the hot and humid summers of DC. This is also a perfect place for tall women as all of her pants have extremely long inseams. This place is expensive, but worth it if you're looking to add a few unique pieces to your wardrobe. The women that work here are always friendly and attentive without being annoying. Something I don't get anywhere else in Georgetown.

Emily Hyson: Out of town shoppers BEWARE One extra star because I still love the clothes but the customer service/ return policy is completely laughable. If this review seems exhausting to read, imagine how exhausting it was to live it. I came to the Georgetown store while visiting town and was hoping to try on a dress that I’d seen online. Unfortunately, they only had the dress I wanted in one-two sizes larger than I am. The very friendly sales lady insisted that they could ship a smaller size to my home (in Denver) for free and if it didn’t work out that it would be easy/free to return. Well, that’s not really true. Low and behold, the dress came and didn’t completely fit. Totally fine - I knew it was 50/50. Online customer service: So then I went online to try to return the dress - but weirdly the order number kept coming up as not valid. Phone customer service: So then I called the customer service number on the website and a pre-recorded message said it was a 3 minute wait. I waited about 15 minutes and then hung up. Then I called back, “3 minute wait” again, and after a while I got a pre-recorded message saying no one was available. Then I called back and again, another “3 minute wait” and I requested a callback. 3 hours later someone called me back. She asked for my info and only found orders from over a year ago and very rudely and unapologetically explained that that was outside their return window. Only after I mentioned that I purchased something in the store did she tell me I’d have to call the store directly. Turns out even though the store had all of my information from my online account which was how they had my address and email in the first place, for some reason they keep orders separate between online and in store (why?!?) Store customer service: so then I call the store. They seem completely confused by my request to return something and took down my number to call me back in “a few minutes”. No call for most of the day. Called them back and was finally told that I would have to ship the item to the store at my expense. Oh and by the way it must be back within 14 days of delivery so I might want to ship it back immediately (LOL). And when I mentioned that I was told it would be free to return, just a “yeah that’s not true”. Great. So I just shipped the dress to the via USPS at a cost of $20 to me. The whole experience probably added up to over 2 hours of my time. My guess is if they process the return at all, they will add some sort of fee on top of it and I won’t see my $440 any time soon. I’ll update once everything is sorted. If you live near the store you probably will never experience this circus, but I have no idea how Alice + Olivia could stand behind such an asinine policy that not even employees at the company seem to have a grasp on.

Jill Bosserman: I walked in on a Saturday morning, alone, just to browse. The sales ladies asked me what I liked, and I pointed out a few styles from a helpful poster of the basic dress cuts. They pulled about 5 or 6 dresses for me (all small sizes, as I’m a size 2P). Dress #4 was the perfect dress – Mikado and Tulle. They told me, “That’s the one.” It was absolutely perfect in every way. They helped me order it in a size 2P, which fit *perfectly* when it came. I mean, so perfectly that it needed NO adjustments for fitting, and didn’t even need to be hemmed once I had on my shoes. (All they had to do was trim the front layer of tulle.) My excellent floor rep was Sharon. The manager was also super sweet and helpful!! And did I mention my dress was a bargain compared to the bridal salons? 1000% recommend!
Faith Brown: I literally just had the best shopping experience ever. We were greeted at the door. Our consultant Nicole made this 1 hour trip worth it. She brought us so many amazing flattering options. She was very patient and knowledgeable. I found my bridesmaid dress. I will recommend others to this location.

Christine Li: My stylist Nancy was great! Very friendly and professional. She offered great advice and listened to my requests. Nancy brought me a variety of dresses to try on to help me find the style I liked best as this was my first ever bridal appointment and she walked me through their online portal. I didn't find my dress, but I did find shoes that I loved!
Michelle Hyde: I worked with stylist Lisa Hall and she was amazing. My daughter and I needed to find a dress for my sisters wedding and I needed to find a wedding dress, on short notice, for several valid and challenging reasons which would continue to be issues. Lisa listened to my concerns and was able to help me find dress that made me feel comfortable and made suggestions on how we could overcome the challenges that were specific to my situation. I was concerned that we would not be able to find a nice dress on such short notice, but she did. It has been a while since we have a attended a formal event, but she made us feel very comfortable about the process and addressed all of our concerns. I was also happy as my daughter found a dress and she hates dress shopping. So it was a win all around!!
Lauren Owens: Susie was amazing! After a few try on sessions with other retailers, I finally found the one and said yes to the dress! The entire team was incredibly helpful and I had a great time trying on. Susie was helpful with showing different options on bustle, straps, bridal belts, and shoes. Thank you, Susie! As a note - there is a great selection of bridal rompers and other white attire for other wedding events like engagement parties and receptions — which is super helpful and good to know, since I’ll be having a reception at a later date, after my micro wedding ceremony. Everything is reasonably priced and I was WAY below my budget — so I’ll have more to spend on the honeymoon 😊
Sharon Irick: After endless searching for semi-formal wear for my grandson's wedding I went to David's Bridal. Ashley was assigned to assist me in selections and she was a great help. She was patient and even laughed at my jokes. I was also able to have the necessary alteration done in time and for a reasonable price. Even more, the outfit I chose was on sale and the price was even more reasonable. This was my first visit to David's and I would highly recommend them to my friends. All the associates who work there are friendly and helpful and Ashley couldn't have been more professional, helpful and supportive!

Yaquelin Lemus hernandez: I book here my 2 wedding dresses and my bridesmaids they all buy the dresses from here as well. Everything went great until yesterday when I went to pick up one of my wedding dress with the alterations department my dress WAS NOT THERE, THEY LOST MY DRESS!!! i was there since 1pm till 3pm and they couldn’t find my dress. The alterations manager besides that they couldn’t find my dress she didn’t said anything , she didn’t offer me no other option, she only told me that she had been looking for my dress since the morning and she couldn’t find it. Few minutes later Emily the manager started helping her and she came by to talk to me about the dress and offer me options to get another dress even though I needed the dress for the same day of the pick up, I appreciate her stepping in and helping me. I was not able to get another dress because it was not what I wanted. But I appreciate her trying to help Me . I left the store really disappointed, mad and sad, with no dress for my photography session that I had that day , my hair was done already. I just had to pick up my dress and head to my make up appointment after it was my photography session. I lost all that due to alterations department losing my dress. I didn’t make any drama or any problems while I was there , I didn’t yell or cuss any body. I only took my self and my money back to the car and left with no dress. But after this I will never be going back there for another alterations appointment. What happened with my wedding dress was so wrong my wedding is in one day. And now I have to look for a new dress. I do not recommend the alterations department from this location:

mehrnaz lowlowvachi: I had such an amazing experience at Nazemi bridal. I brought in my wedding dress for some alterations and couldn’t be any HAPPIER with the result. My dress wasn’t an easy dress for alteration, I visit few other places before and didn’t feel comfortable leaving my dress with them so I started researching and one my friend’s told me about this boutique. So happy I chose Nazemi bridal, Tanaz and her staff are very professional, they went above and beyond, and definitely made me feel super special🤩 Thank you for the great experience.
Clo D: Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my experience at Nazemi Bridal. My dress was a lace fitted dress and they were a recommended tailor. I had 3 main complaints with the work. 1. The work was not well done, and it was very obvious to see that the dress was hemmed. They did not trim the lace after hemming, so there was a double layer above the hem which left a clear a white line. 2. When I came in, I asked for the dress to be hemmed and fitted. They insisted on also putting in a bustle, and I was given a quote. When I came for a try on, they had not fitted the dress at all, and when I inquired why not and said that that would be an additional charge. I was very clear the first time that I wanted it fitted and hemmed, and they had assured me that they would do that as well as the bustle. I was not happy with the additional charge, but the bill was not itemized and at the time I felt stuck and I didn't argue. 3. It was incredibly expensive. Me, not knowing better and knowing that lace dresses are difficult to tailor, paid it without double checking what average tailoring costs online. I was supposed to get married in early 2020, but we postponed due to COVID. I lost quite a bit of weight, and repurchased the same dress in a smaller size. I took it to a different tailor, and they did significantly better work for less than a third of the cost, and did not try and add additional charges half way through the fitting. Had I worn the dress that Nazemi Bridal had tailored, I would have been disappointed with my wedding pictures pictures. Hoping they do better work and are more clear with customers in the future.
Angela Baker: I had my wedding dress altered at Nazemi bridal- Tannaz and her team did a beautiful job. My dress was intricate with beading and multiple layers making it a more challenging alteration. Tannaz explained to me thoroughly what would be done to make the necessary alterations and offered a variety of options including various bustles. In the end, I chose to not get a bustle because of cost, and Tannaz added on a loop for ease of holding the train while walking around, which worked great. I had cups changed, straps shortened, and the length shortened. I had three fittings which started about 2 months before my wedding date. My dress fit absolutely perfectly. Overall, the service and tailoring were perfect! I highly recommend for bridal alterations.

Although parking in Georgetown isn't very easy, the shop itself is very serene and calming and the fittings always went smoothly. The work they do is incredible! I still can't believe how seamlessly they hemmed the very delicate scalloped lace at the bottom of my dress - they are absolute masters, which is worth the expense to get a perfect fit. My dress fit gorgeously on my wedding day. I wouldn't go anywhere else for dress alterations for big events.
Nora B: I had a wonderful experience with Tannaz and her team at Nazemi Bridal. I had a fitting in May, June, and July for my August wedding, and she was professional, kind, and helpful. Her shop is beautiful and she knows exactly what alterations to make to help you look your best. I had no idea how to bustle a dress but she showed me a few options to choose between. We ended up going with a french bustle that had nine ribbons, but she made it easy for me to learn how to put them all together. My dress came back completely clean with no visible seams, and she also gave me advice for steaming and pressing the dress before the big day. I got so many compliments on my dress and felt absolutely amazing in it all night.
Brittany M: Nazemi Bridal isn't cheap, and dragging a dress around Georgetown is not fun...but she is patient, kind, and the service you get is worth the money. My dress fit perfectly, and I felt like an absolute queen on my wedding day. I would highly recommend her!
Jess Cromeek: I got my wedding dress altered at Nazemi Bridal, and I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place! Tannaz and staff did an absolutely beautiful job, and expertly took in the dress after a third fitting without charge because I had lost weight, and what I had already paid included that additional alteration. Tannaz with was very responsive via phone and email, and was absolutely wonderful to work with. On my first visit I asked their opinion on my shapewear, and Tannaz very kindly let me know that the shapewear that was sold to me to wear under my wedding dress was too dark in color, and created some extra skin in the back. She advised me on what shapewear I should purchase instead, and she was 100% right (she also saved me about $100!). The store itself is so clean and beautiful, I felt very comfortable that my dress was there. They are pricey, but wedding dress alterations in general is pricey if you want peace of mind that your dress is safe, and your seamstress has experience in specifically altering wedding dresses, which is a particular craft. Tannaz and staff truly know what they are doing! Every penny was well spent, and I ended up getting my dress steamed there as well. I felt gorgeous on my wedding day, and I am so grateful to Tannaz and staff for the wonderful work they did.
Danielle Gray: I called them to ask about their availability and the woman who answered said, “we are closed today”. I then asked what the usual weekly hours are and then she hung up on me. I called right back (just in case the line had only cut off) and it rang and rang and then went to the voicemail. Not very welcoming :-(

They even had the hangers spaced <3 The manager was also very attentive and checking with everyone to make sure all was right and everyone was happy and being properly taken care of. My wedding was postponed twice due to Covid and last minute we decided to go through with it this year. I needed to get my dress altered again or sadly purchase a new one. Abbie Hibsch: White Swan is a hidden gem! Definitely go here. They carry some unique designers that aren't common around here. Something that made White Swan stand out is that they give you more privacy than other boutiques! They don't go into the dressing room with you and allow you to change by yourself, which I loved. The staff was incredibly kind and several different consultants helped me throughout the appointment, which allowed me to have all of my questions answered and get lots of opinions.
Robert Ferretti: White Swan Bridal has a wonderful selection of mother of bride/groom dresses. They treat their customers like gold and operate with integrity and strong business ethics. Anna, the owner, is very professional and has her customer's best interests at heart, going above and beyond to make sure that you are happy. Maia and Monireh were delightful and knowledgeable to work with. Customer service is a top priority at White Swan Bridal. I highly recommend them!

Chelsea Mendonca: White Swan Bridal was easily the best bridal boutique I’ve been to. The staff were pleasant and extremely helpful. The wedding gowns there are beyond gorgeous. I found the dress of my dreams there and the wonderful women who assisted me Moia and Anna very extremely helpful without being pushy. They also managed to get my dress altered within a day on a holiday. The seamstress was very kind and did a wonderful job. Overall I’m extremely happy with the quality of dresses and the customer service provided. Highly recommend.
Kristy & Jack Roszel: The women at Swan Bridal are amazing! My sister had a dress emergency created by a less experienced shop. Not only did they offer her multiple alternatives to her original dress but they went above an beyond to help fix the original dress she loved. They not only fixed the issues but made the dress more perfect then we could even imagine. Thank you for saving the day with the wedding being only 2 weeks away. Swan Bridal has a beautiful selection of dresses but more importantly they represent everything a business should be putting the customer first event step of the way.
Isabelle Herondale: Let me start by saying the consultant (Karika?) was great: very accommodating and sweet. She did her best to make this a good experience. You should know that the bridal shop is small. There is one 2 sided mirror which has a large open side and a side almost shoved against a bridal rack. As there was a bride and flower girls getting a fitting on the other side we were on the small side (understandable just felt a bit cramped like I had to avoid stepping on dresses to move around the bride) but we were moved once they were gone. The selection of gowns were beautiful however there is only one of each and they all are typical mannequin size unless you go through the clearance rack. If you have or are a larger bride please keep this in mind. This brings me to the real problem, the reason this store could've had a better review and now I just have to advise brides to be wary of this place or just stay away: the older woman. Idk if she is a manager or the owner but she couldn't have been more uncouth. This woman was very happy to help the other bride and seemed very helpful to her but for us she ruined the experience. My sister was in her first dress and wasn't quite feeling it so we were trying to figure out what she does and doesn't like. This woman comes up asking what's wrong with the dress and just seems rushed and unimpressed. She pulls a dress that she liked and closer to what the bride wanted and was quickly ushered into the dressing room. She then whispered something in a snarky tone RIGHT outside the changing room. While I didn't here it the bride couldn't help it and it was something to the nature of "She's just too big for any of our dresses." I think our associate caught it as she went into customer service overload but damage was done. We walked out knowing we wouldn't go back but now had a better understanding of what the bride liked in dresses.
Heather Lockhart: This shop was the best dress shopping experience by far! I went to several shops prior to White Swan and then scheduled an hour appointment just to see if I had any interest in what they offered. The consultant had an idea of a couple dresses that would fit my preference within my budget. We started off in the clearance section (by my request) and found a few to show off to my closest relatives. My decision was tied between two of the most stunning lace dresses, I ended up running over my appointment by two hours! The owner, Mila, was so kind and allowed her consultant to continue to accommodate me. Then lo and behold I said yes to the dress!! Mila was so sweet to offer my family water and treats while they patiently waited. She also gave an unexpected discount to my hair piece and veil. I had a very specific idea of what I wanted my train to be shaped like and Mila gave me her honest opinion while still allowing an open mind. After I made my final decision, I sent the dress out for alterations (which came back right on time with more time to spare). I was very pleased with her knowledge and friendly relationship with clients. After my wedding I came back to get my dress preserved professionally. I had a few tears in my lace and stains at the base, which is pretty normal post-wedding. Mila reassuring that this was not a problem and will be fixed. The preservation of my dress came back like it had never been warn. I truly enjoyed my experience because of her and her team! I recommend this place to my friends, family and any future brides-to-be!
A&C Tuma: My wife and I both purchased our wedding dresses at White Swan. They were incredibly attentive and helped us pick out the perfect dresses to fit our very different styles. White Swan was incredibly flexible with our timelines and did a phenomenal job with all of the alterations. We can’t recommend White Swan enough!
Megan Guidi: White Swan Bridal is definitely a hidden gem! My photographer (Emily Alyssa Photography) recommended I try their shop after a series of striking out elsewhere and feeling a little defeated in my search. We had a 4-month turnaround time from engagement to wedding and I had been turned away consistently from other shops for the tight deadline (understandable, but discouraging nonetheless) WSB showed me a selection of dresses that would work within my timeline AND for a great price! I walked out the SAME DAY from their sample sale with a $500 gown that I loved more than even the $3000 gowns I had tried elsewhere! They also did my alterations in-house and did a wonderful job (added bones, some elastic, cups, and altered my veil to add a bustle). I had a great experience from start to finish and I’m looking forward to going back to them after the big day for cleaning and preservation. If you’re a bride feeling overwhelmed with the dress shopping experience, head to White Swan Bridal! They’ll make it fun, quick, and easy to find something you love. (I should also add, I came here completely alone to shop (my bridal party lived too far away to come with me) and the staff did a great job of offering supportive feedback throughout the shopping process!)

Fia's Fabulous Finds: what do users think?
Anna Sumner: My friend found this place in the DCist's Top Thift Stores article. Unfortunately the article was from 2016 so many of the places listed were no more. Fia's was one one of the few exceptions. We pulled up around 3 in the afternoon unaware that the store had switched over to appointment only for in-person shopping. The lady working at the time kindly let us in since there was an hour until the next appointment. Their inventory was fantastic, if a little disorganized. The layout has been converted more to a warehouse than a sales floor. The store is also transitioning into online sales. As things turned out the kind lady who let us in to shop was the owner herself. She explained the appointment-only policy and told us we could text the store number to make future appointments. It felt good to have been able to support a local, black woman-owned shop, especially after going through the list of stores that weren't able to stay open. On the inventory: I found a lot of good pieces in my size which made me very happy. I'm on the curvier side and I'd definitely recommend this place for plus sized fashionistas. I saw very few items for men and children so you might not want to do family shopping here.

Edward Parsons: My wife and I had a chance to visit FFF and was surprised to find that the store has a $35 full a bag sale next week. The clothes are in good condition and reasonably priced.
Julia Near and Far: Fia's Fabulous Finds had a great selection of cute dresses and footwear. In the basement was $25 for everything you could fit into a bag.
Alex Chapman: I had a lovely visit at Fia's Fabulous Finds today. You have to book a private appointment now to shop and Fia was there herself to describe each room of the store for me. It's a warehouse setup, so you get to move and dive into the racks yourself to find amazing deals. Lots of Kate Spade purses and clothes, with some other brands mixed in. A wide range of sizes too, which is great! 3.3.21: Fia is no longer allowing in-store shopping outside of a once per month opportunity. Check the Facebook page for future updates.
Cassia Morris: My boyfriend and I stopped in Fia’s 2.5 years ago or so to find some items for a costume. I can’t remember the owners name, but she was THE sweetest, nicest, and most helpful!!! We talked about where her son was going to school. We live in Alaska and I still think about our visit here. I hope the owner is well and the shop is doing good!!! Much love.
Eugene Simms: Fia's Fabulous Finds is a phenomenal experience waiting to be discovered! I walked in on a Sunday, and was warmly greeted by associate, Sharon. She told me, to my amazement that Fia's offers sizes 0-3x, a rarity for a consignment shop. They have such great quality clothing, shoes, bags and accessories and at affordable prices. I purchased a silk Escada skirt for $25!! Also, check out their Bargain Basement for some unbelievable deals. A beautiful experience from start to finish.

Madeline Desser: This place is such a gem with a great selection of higher end brands. The space is fairly small, but it manages to feel full without feeling overly crowded or messy. There is a separate rack dedicated to plus size clothing which is amazing and rare to find in high end consignment shops. Fia has a great eye for stylish pieces and is super friendly too so don't be shy and check the place out if you want to find some great deals!
Symea Johnson: Stopped by for the “fill a bag for $25” event. I had to control myself because I could of stayed all day and shifted thru all the bins and racks for clothing. Fia was actually present and her and the staff are genuinely good people All positive vibes in the air!
