mike tyson: Mohamed was very helpful in my search for a new mattress for my growing teen boy that would not break the bank. He showed us options at varying price ranges and offered a price on a mid-range mattress that came out to just over half of what a Mattress Warehouse competitor wanted for a mattress that seemed comparable. I have to delete one star because the delivery people broke a planter on their way out and did not seem to care enough to apologize, but that is not a reflection on this location.

Dijana Hrvacic: Nine months ago, we bought two mattresses queen and twin and two spring boxes of the same producer Beautyrest (see below attached invoice). Queen mattress was an extra firm mattress as I have serious backbone issues. Very soon one side of the extra firm mattress turned extra soft and sagged down that much that I slide down at night. Since it costed $1700 and it has been several months, we reached out to file a warranty claim. While processing they insisted on photos of both mattress and its foundation (spring box Beautyrest bought in the same shop, check invoice). The warranty claim was rejected due to the " use of inadequate foundation/support system". It does not make any sense considering that both the mattress and the springbox foundation were made by the same producer Beautyrest (check the invoice) and the Beutyrest springbox foundation was recommended by your shop as appropriate for this Beautyrest extra firm mattress. So, there is no place in warranty or warning by your shop that using the frame would eliminate warranty – again both of your items we bought together. The warranty card has forgotten to mention the springbox made by the same producer as the mattress and for its size, and talks about slots (non existent) in this case. If the foundation is really inadequate for this mattress as you suggest then that is the mistake of the producer who made both of them to be used together, and the mattress firm that sells them as adequate for each other and recommends them. It seems that the producer and the shop are finding their own product inadequate. After complaining again, no one has come to inspect the mattress and they just checked different reason on the list of reasons for rejection. I would not recommend to any one to buy anything in this shop as their warranty is fake and products overpriced. the same extra firm mattress-queen size now costs $650 due to bad reviews about sagging.

Elise Stull: The managers at Mattress firm are great. I ordered a pillow from the store, but the manufacturer of the pillow sent the wrong size and then gave me bad information about pillowcases (so I bought the wrong ones and was frustrated). Mattress Firm made everything right though. They helped me exchange the pillow for a different brand AND gave me a discount, even though none of it was their fault. Next time I need a new mattress, Mattress Firm will be my first stop.

Tiffany Roberts: This is THE place to go to hunt for DIY furniture in Northern VA. Once you’re there, you can roam the warehouse of unending furniture and paints. Everyone was SO nice and gave me great suggestions for my next DIY project. I purchased two chairs for my new house and will definitely be back for paints!

Melakusisay: I purchased a bed (no mattress) $800 with tax and delivery. I wanted to change it in the next day because the bed is too high however the boss of the store even he did not talk us as a customer. I have receipt which states 21 day return but on the other side for clearance and final no return. The bed I bought is new but he said even no change instead we bought. I asked him nicely to help us because my wife is pregnant and she cant clip on the bed. He did not tell us and there is no clear notice NO RETURN. There is cheating sale in this store. I saw disrespect and discrimination in this store He is completely bad man. He acted on me and upset me to do this comment as a customer. I am going to court and consumer protection too. He should learn at least the law in USA. No body above the law.

When I finally have to leave my bed each morning to start my day, I feel energized, refreshed, and ready to take on the day! Needless to say, I highly recommend Mattress Firm for your mattress needs.

Brandon Gaimari: Customer service is actually good but products are over priced junk. Bought a bedroom set and the design of the bed causes it to squeak every time you roll over. Customer service had Dr. Furniture come out twice - one time screws were missing in the bed, the next time installed slat pads (why were these not installed originally?). For the price you pay, the quality is not what it should be. Beware.
Anna Harrington: First, we had a guy helping us who like was non responsive at the Logan circle room and board. Then I ordered online for July 7 and the furniture store confirmed via email and when I called they told me July 7 was unavailable. Not good service for the price and wouldn’t buy here again.

Summer Logan: I was working with Lisa (who apparently is the store manager). Her behavior does not seem like she should be. My problem was passed off to Peter and I felt underappreciated as a client. Would not recommended the people that work here. Service is below expectations for the money you spend and management should do a better job. Seems like they do not care or engage with clients. Highly disappointed and unsatisfied.
Kathryn Adamcik: I ordered a couch from here in August and it was to be delivered at the start of December. It was delayed until the end of December and I waited for it to arrive. 1 day before it was supposed to arrive in the warehouse I got an email saying it would be delayed for 2 more months. I waited for 2 months and days before it was supposed to arrive in the warehouse after the 2 month delay I got an email saying it was delayed again. I have called customer service and they have been of no help. They have no idea when the couch will arrive or what the progress is on it. They will not give a discount for this long delay. I am stuck in a pattern where I expect the couch to arrive any day, and then it gets pushed back. This is not okay. I paid over 3k for my couch and am just getting brushed off by customer service, the managers that I have spoken with, and the associates who we spoke to in the store we shopped at. I was planning on purchasing a side table, coffee table, and lamp after the couch arrived, but I will no longer be using room and board in the future. I ask you all to be wary of purchasing from here. I paid for the couch in full and now it looks as if it will never arrive. I expect more from this company, and am highly dissapointed.

Catie Kemp: Love love love. They were a bit too pricey for me to consider when I was living in my apartment, but since buying my place last November I have become a very loyal customer. I started working with Daren to get an idea of what I wanted in my living room- just having the sounding board was so helpful. I have since outfitted my entire living room with them- probably went to the store at least ten times before making my order and never felt harassed or pushed into buying immediately. My mom bought her first house in over a decade this summer and I’ve encouraged her to buy with them too (which she has and has had an equally good experience). The biggest thing for me when I’m spending money on furniture is knowing that a) it will last and b) having confidence in my purchase. I most recently ordered a set of four dining chairs which arrived on Friday and the color just isn’t quite right in my space. I went into the store yesterday and discussed the issue with an associate (didn’t catch her name)- they are very up front about wanting to make things right if you’re not happy. She gave me a sample swatch to take home and test in my space and this morning I called customer care who was happy to facilitate an exchange for me. They are back ordered until February so they even offered me the option of keeping the current chairs (so long, of course, as they are kept in excellent condition). Even speaking to their central customer service center is a personalized experience- I don’t have the same concern with other businesses that my order or request is going to get lost in the shuffle. You can get just about anything in any color/fabric/wood stain/finish that they have and the quality is outstanding- I really wish they were in the kitchen cabinet business because their wood quality, in my opinion, is unmatched by any other business I’ve explored at their scale. Everything is made in the US (Minnesota I believe). Of course with the pandemic things (especially custom items) can take a couple or a few months to come in, but this is far from specific to R&B and well worth the wait. I’ve had three or four delivery experiences with them and each time the employees were punctual, communicative, and, most importantly, careful with my home and furniture! In summary I can’t recommend them enough. They have found a customer for life in me and I am happy to scream my unsolicited appreciation from the rooftops any time! Edited to add- forgot to mention they are dog friendly (with treats!). If this isn’t the sign of a good business I don’t know what is.

Renee Davis: Don’t get me wrong, I love this furniture store. The customer service is great. Delivery service (workers) is great. It’s the actual product, the furniture quality that deserves 1 star (none if I could) our last purchase was the Reese sectional sofa. The buttons pick you when you sit on it and the cushions are cheap. No Cush whatsoever! It’s like sitting on the floor. The entertainment center has no wire outlets in the back for cord management and it scratches easily. And even though the only rerun policy listed is for mattresses I was told (Ginny) that if it was a couple weeks past they would be able to take it back? Do not be fooled by the pretty picture. It’s not worth the price!

KB: The wife and I had just moved to DC. Unfortunately our mattress did not arrive, because the moving company somehow lost it. So I went driving around at like 8pm trying to find one for a reasonable price, and this store was about my third stop. The owner Nagendra was great! He set us up with a very nice mattress for a hugely discounted price, and even helped me load it onto my car... Nice clean, safe location with parking, good selection, good prices, and nice people. Highly recommend.

Jason Munson: So I stopped by Mattress Firm looking for a quality mattress for a decent price and before I know it, Bro Abdul not only educated me on the different mattress options but he was extremely resourceful with providing the science and technology of his craft. I left with my first adjustable mattress at a cost lower than I initially budgeted. I even purchased a few Gel pillows and other bedding material. Evelio Perez: We came late and we were looking for a great deal in a mattress. A gentleman by the name of Nagendra really took his time to explain things to my wife and I. We even got a demo of the adjustable bed platform. We settled on a less expensive mattress as it is only a temporary solution for us, but we were really happy with the outcome and the attentive service we received 5 out of 5!

Julian Coats: Brandi and Corinth restored my faith that great customer service still exists. For me it was very special in that I am in the process of relocating from overseas (work for the military) I hadn’t lived in the states for years. So setting up a residence in the states from overseas can and did present many challenges some such as the time difference I am 6 hours ahead of est. this being said brandy and Corinth were 100% professional from the moment I spoke with them. Their patience with me was wonderful. They took the time to really help me in figuring out what was the best package for me at the same time being flexible. as someone with little knowledge of furniture they took the time to use their knowledge to ensure the furniture was a great match. I could go on and on about the overall customer service experience I received. But mostly when we are overseas we feel detached when having to deal with relocation because most just don’t understand the challenge we are facing when trying to establish a new residence in the states but Corinth and Brandi took the time to listen to ensure the furniture portion was seamless. . I thank them both and will highly recommend to my unit overseas to make sure anyone transitioning to the dc area reach out to the for any furniture needs. Debra Russell: I went to this business for the first time ever! I was assisted by a young woman name Corinth. She is " Da Bomb" she was polite, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, delightful and just an all around good person to represent Cort Furniture. There was also another young lady who was delightful. Then there was a gentleman who wrapped my items and hand carried them to my car. The staff in that store are extremely customer service oriented, helpful and so, so pleasant. I bought several items and plan to go back and buy more as soon as possible. This is a great store with lots of distinct and unique pieces. You will be very, very pleased when you shop Cort Furniture Capital Heights, MD. :) :) I would very much like to see the whole staff at Cort Capital Heights store specifically get raises!! Kayla Imani: All we can say is WOW! My boyfriend and I are moving into our first apartment and we needed quality furniture at an AFFORDABLE price. We called before making the hour drive to this location to make sure they had what we wanted and Corinth assured us that they had our choices and that they were in great condition. When we got there everything was in amazing shape and Corinth helped us put together an amazing package within our budget! I was disappointed to find out that what I saw was the "on-line" price; although it is in the store which has a higher price and a delivery fee. I could order online with a 1-2 month delivery date or purchase it from store and get it immediately.

Davetta Overall: Just moved from SC, previously looked on line for furniture stores in Alexandria, and because of the reviews it was my first stop. The showroom is small, but the manager was so nice and friendly, I knew without a doubt, this was where I wanted to shop. My first choice was a sofa and half and half chair. Due to my stairway was unable to get sofa downstairs. The manager replaced it with a loveseat that fits perfectly. He had to order the loveseat, and it was only a two week wait. This store is amazing, and they stand by their word. I was told that it would take up to three weeks, had it before. If shopping for furniture, please try this store for your needs. Also the delivery who delivered, set up the furniture, where very professional.

Julia Just: I have bought multiple items here such as my living room couch, and have been happy till today. The person with me has a medical condition and needed to use the restroom ASAP. The lady working in the store refused the use of the bathroom. We are offended and will not shop here any longer.

Jamari Thomas: This is the worst store ever. Please do not shop here. Their furnitures do not last long and their customer service is the worst. They’ll take your money and no refund at all even if you called the police on them

If a customer is calling about any kind of issue your job is to help as best you can without the attitude or give the phone to someone else. This is your job and what you get paid to do. I will not go back to any JMD Furniture or refer them to anyone else!
Anthony Ajaegbueze: This is a very bad furniture store. They sell very cheap items that breaks in less than a month. Their financing is double what you are told at the store. They scam people of their money. I spent $1k at the store and no one told me it was a 90 day leasing. Now I’m going to pay $2300 on a $1k furniture that’s already damaged in less than a month. I hate this place.
Devonne Newsome: On October 9, 2019 I discovered JMD Furniture while searching for a black dresser on Google. I went to the District Heights, Md location about 11:00 am and was greeted by the manager when I walked in. I told him what I was looking for. He showed me several options and I decided on one of the black dressers, and also purchased the black platform bed and the nightstand that matched the dresser. By 2:30 the same day my furniture was delivered and set up by James and another gentleman!! Yes, delivered the same day!!! Unheard of! They were very professional, skilled and had all 3 items assembled in less than 2 hours. The furniture is beautiful and well made. While in JMD I saw other pieces of furniture that I will be buying. I highly recommend this store if you are working with a budget, but yet looking for high quality, a large selection to choose from, and most importantly when you need it the same day! I did not need mine the same day so that was a bonus and what I call exceptional customer service! Thank you JMD!

My delivery arrived as scheduled the two young guys called to keep me updated they arrived delivered my furniture they were professional,friendly and careful. I was very pleased. My experience at JMD furniture was outstanding and this will be my go to place for my furniture needs. The furniture looks great and is a great quality for the price and so easy to assemble I purchased the 11pc bedroom set with free mattress and box spring( and it’s a real mattress and box spring not a foam topper). If you’re on the fence stop in I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Mary Veach: I had read reviews for this location and saw all the nice stuff said about Wendy so I was so happy when we walked in and were greeted by Wendy!! She was the perfect balance of helpful while still giving us space to browse and discuss what we liked. Whenever we had a question she was easy to find and came right over and had answers to all the questions we asked. We ended up purchasing a couch and the whole process was really straightforward - none of that “add this protection and this feature and this extended warranty” etc etc that you have to muddle through with some sales people. We actually had time to just chit chat while we waited for my husband to tend to our child and Wendy is a genuinely nice person!! Highly recommend a visit to this location… you may even want to call ahead and ask when Wendy is working!!
Hassan M: Got the beat deal . Delivery guys are awesome. Delivery was on exact day and time . I guess 59$ for delivery just threshold (dropoff inside through first door ) with assembly (90$). I don’t need that it was just four legs for my sofa . Customer service is amazing. For delivery person they called 2 minutes before arrival and then dropped it inside my living room. Best thing they took off the shoe before stepping on my carpet and were wearing mask .

There is also a great deal of flexibility in the process of making your purchase. The prices are also great. Namitha Ramakrishna: This is a store with wonderful quality products, managed by a knowledgeable and friendly family. The lower priced couches are more expensive than chain stores like Ashley Home Store, but they are absolutely worth the quality. My friend recently slept on my couch for several nights (after I have had the couch for 2 years), and she said it was even better than her mattress. I also appreciated that the family did not pressure me to buy anything but walked me through all the options. Would absolutely recommend for anyone looking for long-lasting, comfortable, and beautiful furniture.
April Ty: We had a WONDERFUL experience at Gala Futons and Furniture today. We didn’t quite know what to expect walking in and boy were we pleasantly surprised. Mr. Ayman was helping a couple when we walked in and while we waited, we listened as he helped them. He was geniunely engaged in them and we could tell that he was just not trying to make a sale. When it was our turn, he asked lots of questions, not in an annoying way but in a way that you could tell he was really interested in what we wanted or needed. He was not pushy at all. We ended up making a purchase that same visit. We are happy to support his business. Thanks for a great and painless shopping experience!

Shiry and Ayman welcomed us like family and made our whole day really wonderful. I changed my mind a couple of times, but he was always patient, even though what I ended up buying was half the price of the first couch I picked :) Ayman also provided me with a much needed service free of charge (he said it was an easy job for him). I have received the couch for about a week and it is great. I cannot thank Ayman enough for helping me find what I need. Highly Recommend!
Hannah Lensing: Best place in the metro area to buy a couch, sectional, or futon. They will get you what you want at a great price. Extremely knowledgeable and willing to work with you. Recommend having an idea of what you are looking for prior to going because it’s a small showroom. Plus is you have tons of options to choose from and customize. My boyfriend reminds me every day we got the perfect couch :)

It’s a family-run business with a small showroom and TONS of knowledge about the products. Whatever you need, whatever your budget, they will help you find the perfect piece. They are very up front and honest, they do not try to wheel and deal you, and they stand by their products. They run their business with integrity, professionalism, and warmth. We have bought a dining room set, an entertainment center, two desks, two desk chairs, a small couch, and an entire master bedroom set from them. Every piece has been just as they described. They are also just very lovely people. If you need affordable but nice furniture, go to them! You won’t be disappointed.

Stacy Lemery: Having a West Elm accessible to bus and metro lines is great for residents of the DC area. There is always lots more online, but being able to see the quality of bedding, furniture, etc in person makes a big difference. I have purchased a bed, bedding, hallway shelving, a shoe rack, curtains, candle holders, and other decor from West Elm.
Eric Overton: Staff at this store were basically useless and didn’t seem to know much about the products for sale. Fortunately, I was only there to test a floor model before buying online. Shipping was fast with only two weeks between purchase and delivery. Delivery dudes were both prompt and chill.
Geneva: I was wary of buying from this store based on some of the reviews here; however, after a year of searching for the right sectional, I found the perfect one for me at West Elm. I received good service from the store. The sales person was very clear that my sectional - which I bought in November for a nice discount - would not arrive until early January. As promised, I got calls and emails from the delivery department the second week of January and was able to schedule a date that worked for me. The two delivery guys were amazing - they had to maneuver their big truck down a narrow alley to get to the loading dock. They were professional and efficient and out of my apartment in less than 15 minutes. The sectional is exactly what I wanted and so comfortable.
Jonathan Mullen: Some nice stuff. Seems overpriced for what it is. Similar to Crate and Barrel.Joybird is just down the street and offers higher quality furniture at a better price.
Annapurna Mitra: The worst delivery experience I have encountered. I ordered a dining table and four chairs, with in-home delivery. The chairs were sent via UPS, not assembled, and with no explanation despite paying $250 for in-home delivery. I live alone, and there are 7 pages of assembly instructions requiring two people. I have no way of doing this, and am left with a living room like a furniture warehouse. On the other hand, the dining table, which was ready 10 days ago, and I had asked the customer service to wait and schedule an appointment for all items together is yet to arrive. I cannot find a way to schedule anything on the website, and on the phone I can not find a way to talk to a human being. I have received no response to my email. If I could give zero stars I would.

Kev- keepingitreal: You never know what deal you may find when you’re shopping at Big Lots. Big Lots offers a wide variety of Household products like Home Furniture, Electric Fireplace, Food, Snacks, Home Decor and many other items and accessories. Great atmosphere with helpful and friendly staff.
Sassy Sauce: This is a large store with a good selection. There were plenty of Christmas gifts on sale after the holiday. The store was very clean and organized as well. Everything was clearly marked with the prices or discounted prices and there was a good selection of various items throughout the store. When we needed help, 2 different associates were able to assist us and they were pleasant too. Overall this is a very good store to shop and the savings are good.
