A Tatum: I ordered a queen plush end of 2/21 and received it within a few days. However after 3 weeks I determined I wanted to exchange. I called and Manny assisted me efficiently. He had me come back in, recommended other mattresses to lay on to try out. I went with a medium plush of another brand, which was more firm, it cost slightly more but he managed to do an even exchange and I got the new mattress delivered in two days! At the Same time they swapped out for the old one. They were very understanding that you need some time to adjust to a new mattress and don’t always get it right on the first try. I did have to pay for the delivery fee though. At the time I shopped they were offering a free adjustable base so all in all I got a great deal.

Catie Kemp: Love love love. They were a bit too pricey for me to consider when I was living in my apartment, but since buying my place last November I have become a very loyal customer. I started working with Daren to get an idea of what I wanted in my living room- just having the sounding board was so helpful. I have since outfitted my entire living room with them- probably went to the store at least ten times before making my order and never felt harassed or pushed into buying immediately. My mom bought her first house in over a decade this summer and I’ve encouraged her to buy with them too (which she has and has had an equally good experience). The biggest thing for me when I’m spending money on furniture is knowing that a) it will last and b) having confidence in my purchase. I most recently ordered a set of four dining chairs which arrived on Friday and the color just isn’t quite right in my space. I went into the store yesterday and discussed the issue with an associate (didn’t catch her name)- they are very up front about wanting to make things right if you’re not happy. She gave me a sample swatch to take home and test in my space and this morning I called customer care who was happy to facilitate an exchange for me. They are back ordered until February so they even offered me the option of keeping the current chairs (so long, of course, as they are kept in excellent condition). Even speaking to their central customer service center is a personalized experience- I don’t have the same concern with other businesses that my order or request is going to get lost in the shuffle. You can get just about anything in any color/fabric/wood stain/finish that they have and the quality is outstanding- I really wish they were in the kitchen cabinet business because their wood quality, in my opinion, is unmatched by any other business I’ve explored at their scale. Everything is made in the US (Minnesota I believe). Of course with the pandemic things (especially custom items) can take a couple or a few months to come in, but this is far from specific to R&B and well worth the wait. I’ve had three or four delivery experiences with them and each time the employees were punctual, communicative, and, most importantly, careful with my home and furniture! In summary I can’t recommend them enough. They have found a customer for life in me and I am happy to scream my unsolicited appreciation from the rooftops any time! Edited to add- forgot to mention they are dog friendly (with treats!). If this isn’t the sign of a good business I don’t know what is.

Anthony Dailey: I came into PB looking to buy a living room set and ended up leaving with that plus a bedroom set and dining room table. This was by far the easiest process I’ve ever experience when financing furniture. The associate Kevin was helpful and very knowledgeable or products and prices which made the process much quicker. Answered all my questions, provided great recommendations and even issued coupons and discounts for a First Responder. Would absolutely recommend and would do business again.

Dee Balliet: Overall decent experience buying. I wasn’t able to get financed; I imagine due to having a credit score under 600, even though I have more than enough income. So I ended up not being able to finance the “dream bed” and I bought out of pocket a similar style but about $400 less in price before; that I’m not completely comfortable with; I actually preferred a different mattress as an alternate choice but the salesman assured me the Simmons Dixie x Charli was far superior to the Serta. I’m going to chance it but I always have a bad taste when a salesman get a a little pushy. Granted he did spend a significant amount of time with the customer before me so by the time he was able to work with me the store was close to closing. Going to give it a try and if I don’t like it will return in 30 days and pick out a different more suitable mattress. Also store advertised sale price on the mattress I purchased; but when he rang it up he then says the sale signs on the mattress aren’t accurate and the sale was over, but didn’t explain why he told me when I first asked about the mattresses on sale. So also struck me as odd. Otherwise delivery drivers were great and on time, great communication.

Deborah G: I visited and purchased from the District Heights location. When I walk in I was immediately greeted by staff and asked if they could be of assistance. We made our selection the staff wrote us up, delivery date was scheduled soon we cashed out and left. Employees were upbeat friendly and professional at all times. My delivery arrived as scheduled the two young guys called to keep me updated they arrived delivered my furniture they were professional,friendly and careful. I was very pleased. My experience at JMD furniture was outstanding and this will be my go to place for my furniture needs. The furniture looks great and is a great quality for the price and so easy to assemble I purchased the 11pc bedroom set with free mattress and box spring( and it’s a real mattress and box spring not a foam topper). If you’re on the fence stop in I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
