Capitol Hill Stay - Veteran Owned Furnished Housing Temporary Extended Stay Washington DC Since 1997: what do users think?
Katie Wilkes
Katie Wilkes: I stayed here for a month while house hunting. Fabulous, convenient location to everything you need. One of the best parts about the house is the private little courtyard/patio space out front. Stunning in the springtime. Capitol Hill Stay was attentive and extremely communicative the entire time. The neighbors were also so kind and helpful. But I have to say, it was the sincere thoughtfulness of the people who run this hospitality group that exceeded my expectations. Tragically, I lose my pup of 16 year unexpectedly while here (we were grateful to enjoy many days of gorgeous weather on that patio together). Upon check out and kind conversation with Phil, one of the staff members, the team let me know they had made a donation to a rescue organization in my pup’s honor. It brought me to tears. Stay with them if you can- I don’t think you’ll regret it.
Response: Thank you for the kind review Katie. We were very sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved dog but it makes us happy to know you enjoyed some time together there on the patio. Thank you again for staying with Capitol Hill Stay. Your stay (and others) are what helps us stay in business, pay our staff, cleaners, landscapers, etc, so on behalf of everyone we thank you very much.
Zach Powell
Zach Powell: My wife and I have never been to a big city before. Coming from a small town in Kentucky, we were worried about coming to D.C. However, the owner (Brian) and Louise has been absolutely wonderful! The apartment was in a very safe and very upscale neighborhood. We were able to pay for a secure parking spot as well. Our neighbors were quiet and working professionals (always gone). If there were any questions, someone always answered them promptly via chat or text! I cannot reccomend Capitol Hill stay enough! If we are ever in DC again, we will be staying with them!
Response: Thanks Zach. It was a pleasure having you. We get a lot of people in from small towns and many later tell us Capitol Hill feels very much like a village within the big city, so it's kindof the best of both worlds.
Leslie Vargas
Leslie Vargas: My friend and I came to Washington DC for a girls trip to visit her daughter and my son, who is a student there. We loved the apartment from the first second we stepped into as it instantly felt like a home away from home. It is beautiful and well furnished with high ceilings and tall windows. The apartment is immaculate and every detail is attended to, including a coffee pot that makes delicious coffee and quality linens that are so comfortable after a long day of seeing the sites. It is located in a safe neighborhood and is a nice walk to The Eastern Market, independently owned boutiques, restaurants, a CVS and a wine shop. The apartment is so inviting that we decided to cook there one night and it was so convenient that the The Eastern Market is full of lovely fresh vegetables, fresh meats and a bakery. Outside the market were street vendors with quality goods to sell which was so fun to browse. I have found that where you stay can make such a difference in the tone of a vacation and this one certainly did. It was a such a wonderful time and I’m looking so forward to visiting DC with my husband and staying there again.
leo sokolskiy
leo sokolskiy: Great place to stay in Washington. Walking distance to the National Mall monuments and museums. Very comfortable and quiet location, parking spot is a great plus if you are driving in. Kitchen has all the utensils as well as washer and dryer. Brian and Luis are very accommodating and responsive.
Response: Thank you Leo. It was a pleasure having you. Please look us up again when you need furnished housing in DC

Capitol Hill Stay: what do users think?
Connor Carson
Connor Carson: I stayed in one of the Millers Court properties over New Years and it was a wonderful getaway. Walking distance of a cute corner convenience store and a straight away 5-10 minute walk to Capitol Hill and the mall. The apartment was clean and prepared for us. We had privacy and everything we needed. These properties are great for getaways or long stays. Either way, I highly recommend for any visits to Washington DC.
David Drath
David Drath: This is the fifth time we have rented a furnished apartment from Capitol Hills Stay so it is clear that we are extremely satisfied with this small company. Their apartments are clean, well stocked, and tastefully decorated. They are centrally located and convenient to parks, restaurants, entertainment, and shopping. The owners and management are accommodating, responsive to needs, and very pleasant to work with.
Christine Ferland
Christine Ferland: My husband, dog, and I stayed at one of their places after finding it on AirBnB. We loved the place we stayed in which was very central. The place was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. We especially loved that it was dog friendly. Capital Hill Stays was very professional, informative, and responsive! I would highly recommend them and stay again.
Sarah Citta
Sarah Citta: Wonderful stay in this lovely townhouse. Close enough to walk to restaurants, stores, even a trader joes!! The neighborhood is beautiful! We walked to the Mall, but it is an easy uber ride as well. Very clean, great kitchen! Thanks Brian for an excellent stay!
Em H
Em H: Perfect space and a great experience, it was close to everything and had everything we needed. Super cute townhouse and the management was smart, fast and considerate.
Sharon Lewis
Sharon Lewis: Excellent apartment for a DC vacation.

Blueground | Furnished Apartments Washington DC: what do users think?
Paulo Baioni
Paulo Baioni: The unit is really nice and at a great location. Certainly it could benefit for some additional kitchen utensils. The blueground team is great and very responsive, the building concierges however no so much. Overall a very good stay so far.
Response: Hi Paulo, Thank you for your review. We take great pride in knowing that we have helped create a positive experience for you. We look forward to you being one of our valued guests again in the future. Best Wishes, The Team @Blueground
Theresa J
Theresa J: The best short term lease option. 30 days or more. Once my credit was approved and payment was received, it was available next day for move in. Much easier and faster than working with apartment complexes. Travis and others were ready available to answer questions along the way as well.
Response: Thank you for your review Theresa. We take great pride in knowing that we have helped create a positive experience for you. We look forward to you being one of our valued guests again in the future. Best Wishes, The Team @Blueground
Joseph Rouse
Joseph Rouse: I just went through the process of renting a 2 bedroom unit in Denver, Colorado and had the worst experience dealing with this company. From the start, there were no pictures of the actual apartments that met my needs,(only stock photos.) so I was forced to physically visit the complexes myself to see if they’d work. (I’m glad I did, because one of the properties was totally disgusting and I would not have been happy there for a month.) After confirming the suitability of a property, I booked the apartment on the Blueground.com. I paid $5000, upfront, using the instant wire transfer service they required. This was for the rent in full, prepaid utilities fee, insurance fee, and a $500 security deposit. The full amount was instantly withdrawn from my account and deposited into theirs. I get a confirmation of the booking and think everything’s okay. Several days later (and just a few days prior to the day I expected to move in) I get an email stating that the credit check they’d run return “no information” and thus I could not move in. I contacted customer service trying to resolve the issue. I explained that I had already paid in full for everything. I offered to provide bank statements, notarized business records, etc. and even had a family member offer to co-sign. The wouldn’t budge. And now I’m left trying to get my $5000 returned to me. I can’t get a firm timeline of when it’ll be back in my account. Just a bunch of rude form responses and promises to forward the issue to “such and such” department. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! You’re way better off using Airbnb, VRBO or even a Marriott Residence Inn.
Response: Thank you, Joseph, for taking the time to provide feedback. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and for not fully meeting your expectations. Unfortunately, according to our records, the credit we were given didn’t not pass the background check. We understand that our accounting team has already reached out to you regarding your refund. Also, please note that when it comes to Plaid payments, it usually takes four days to reach our account in order for us to start processing a refund. We will continue to focus on ways we can improve, and we will be sure to share your feedback with the broader team to enable the best experience for our guests moving forward. Hope to see you again in the future. Best Wishes, The Team @Blueground
Luis Sepulveda
Luis Sepulveda: Process to lease a place with Blueground is very easy, everything can be done online. The place was in excellent condition and very well furnished and located in good neighborhood with proximity to good restaurants and other facilities. Blueground’s service was very responsive to all questions and request we had
Response: Hi Luis, Thank you for your lovely review. We always strive to offer services of high quality and reading your comments is so rewarding. We look forward to you being one of our valued guests again in the future. Best Wishes, The Team @Blueground
Aleksandre Metreveli
Aleksandre Metreveli: Pretty much a scam! I did an experiment and rented a place from here instead of AirBnb. I paid the price of this experiment. Below are couple of key points to consider: 1. The apartment was way worse than what I expected from the pictures. Pictures showed a bright and nice place but it turned out to be a quasi-basement place with almost no natural light 2. Once communicated the problem with the company, they went total silent and unresponsive, while being very proactive before making the actual payment 3. Registration and payment process were complicated. Had to struggle with it and spent 4 days figuring out the problem 4. General quality of the place considering the price is definitely not worthy compared to AirBnb or any other state local renting options that I have seen
Response: Hi Aleksandre, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with aspects of your stay. Our teams have been in contact with you to share a few options of things we can do to improve your stay either in your current apartment, or relocating to another of your choice. We look forward to working with you to better your experience. Best Wishes, The Team @ Blueground
Leonne Tanis
Leonne Tanis: Smooth check in and check out process. Any questions and concerns were timely addressed. Lovely apartment and building with great amenities in DC. It is a bit pricey but worth it for the no hassle experience.
Response: Thank you for the review Leonne! We take great pride in knowing that we have helped create a positive experience for you. We look forward to you being one of our valued guests again in the future. Best Wishes, The Team @Blueground

Heaven on Washington Fully Furnished Apartments: what do users think?
Linda Steinke
Linda Steinke: Having lived in Penn Quarter and recently moved I was back for a visit and wanted to stay in the area. I found Pelican Residences in the Lansburgh the perfect location. This 2 BR 2 BA apartment was fully furnished. The corner unit I had had great view down 7th and E streets. Within walking distance to my favorite restaurants, Gregory’s coffee as well as the Smithsonian museums, the National Mall and the Capitol and White House. The apartment was clean and the Pelican staff are extremely responsive down to replacing light bulbs. Would I stay again? YES!!!!
Response: Thanks Linda, It was a pleasure to host you. We look forward to hosting you again in one of our 10 cites. Pelican Residences
Tony Staman
Tony Staman: Perfect location for this high quality apartment, right next to Metro Archives station so getting in from Reagan airport was very easy. Location puts you within a short distance of most of the major museums, if you did not want to walk they have a DC Bike Share dock right next to the apartment. Gym was very nice, pool was slightly above average, residents were very friendly. Front desk staff was also very friendly and was very helpful with the few questions we had. The bathrooms in our room were very clean and had beautiful glass door showers. I would definitely recommend this apartment to others looking for a nice quality hotel in a great location. Only thing bad I can say was that the beds in both rooms sat very low to the ground which was weird and carpet appeared a little dirty in some areas but neither of these comments would stop me from recommending this apartment.
Mary Ann Madejas
Mary Ann Madejas: I had a very pleasant stay overall. The place was very quiet, clean, and had plenty of pots and pans and extra linens. I also appreciate the timely reply and the responsiveness of the host. I wanted to expand my stay by one night after i had checked in, and the host was able to accommodate very quickly.
Tyler Nixon
Tyler Nixon: I stayed in this location in a one-bedroom apartment for almost 3 weeks on an extended business trip to the District. In addition to an excellent location, convenient to just about anywhere in the District and close to all of the federal facilities, monuments and museums, the room was absolutely first-rate. The kitchen and all amenities were up to date and fully-appointed, with everything one would need as though at home. The apartment was also spacious but quite cozy too. The bed was extremely comfortable and they also provided additional linens, as well as a set of towels and washcloths. The TV had both cable and internet streaming applications (Netflix - you could use your own account). The washer and dryer system was excellent and like new. The closet space was also remarkable. The free coffee and hot drinks machines at both entrances was a really nice amenity, especially on chilly days. The entrance security, with key fobs that activate the doors and are required to use the elevators, as well as the manned receptions desks at the entrances (except maybe a few hours in the late night) were reassuring for the security of the facility but also did not inhibit access with ease for anyone staying there. The elevators were numerous and though there were some issues on the first day I was there, the rest of the time they functioned without a hitch, and were numerous and speedy enough that I never had to wait for more than a few seconds to catch an elevator either up to or down from any of the upper floors. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for accommodations for a longer stay in DC and wanting all of the amenities of home.
jocelyn Luterte
jocelyn Luterte: Great place to stay in DC. Cleanliness and layout are great. Everything was very smooth and easy to deal with! Would definitely recommend! The heated pool is a bonus!
Shai Ruyod
Shai Ruyod: "a great place to call "home". I could see myself actually living in a community such as this. Plus there is an indoor heated pool that is well kept up daily. Pet friendly too. It has exactly what I want and that is whatever I need, in walking distance. Highly recommended!!
Hein hwyan
Hein hwyan: I had a horrible stay at one of their apartments. The blinds were broken in one of the bedrooms and I put in a request to get it fixed. The management kept tellling they will get it done but they never got around to doing it. Also, one of the toilet was broken and spilling out water. I had to nag them several times and they eventually sent someone over to fix it. They should increase their quality control and customer service. Do yourself a favor and not live at any of their apartments. Terrible experience.
Chinedu Nwaghanata
Chinedu Nwaghanata: Location was great, in the middle of downtown DC, nearby many landmarks. Apartment was in the 11th floor with great lighting and view. The apartment had a kitchen fully stocked with cooking supplies and the bedroom and living room had tvs with Netflix and cable. Whole apartment was immmaculate. Parking was 16 dollars a day.
Chris Peace
Chris Peace: Walking Distance to everything!! Restaurants, Malls or Grocery Stores. The apartment was also wonderful it is indeed Heaven on Washington during our stay.

mburr
mburr: We stayed in DC three nights on M St SW. The apartment worked out great for us as our son lives several blocks away in the Wharf area. Apartment was clean and well furnished. The cleaning person was there when we arrived early with out bags and was completely accommodating and helpful. All aspects or our stay were great--will do it again.
Response: Hi Guest, Thank you for this review, may we know as to why we only got 4 stars? Thanks, Pelican Residences
Mary Ann Lim-Madejas
Mary Ann Lim-Madejas: We had an absolutely fantastic stay here. The room was nice and bright and great for getting work done in the day. We had everything we needed to cook and enjoy the room. We were easily able to walk to the national mall as well as the waterfront. We also enjoyed using the gym and having a glass of wine on the rooftop.

Dorchester House: what do users think?
Matthew Lawlis
Matthew Lawlis: Overall Dorcester House is a solid apartment complex for a location in the city. It has some down falls, mainly the age of the building hurts the ability to block noise from other rooms but its not a huge deal, also you get the odd pothead that makes the hall smell like weed 24/7, but thats pretty common in DC. The place has improved greatly over the last 6 months or so and serving those who live their seems to be a top priority. Also maintenance and sanitation is sold. Everything is fixed on time and I have yet to see a mouse or roach.
Sophia
Sophia: Management is SO helpful and kind. Shelton was an immediate help during a move for me, the security people are always asking me how I am and keeping me smiling. I couldn’t recommend enough. I feel safe. It’s in a great spot. I feel lucky to have a great size apartment and awesome management.
Response: Hi Sophia! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We strive to provide our residents with a great place to live! Thank you, The Borger Team
Bobby Hodges
Bobby Hodges: Management lies to your face about everything. I was told 6 months ago while looking for apartments the gym was being fixed up. The same sample paint swatches are on the wall and all of the machines are unsafe. The machine to add money to your laundry card has been broken now for 2-3 months. I have told "Concierge" and management but still nothing. (numerous tenants have complained) Employees constantly park in my parking spot while I am at work, the assistant manager even admitted this while I was in her office.
Response: Mr. Hodge, Thank you for your feedback. Our goal is to present a positive, dignified and businesslike image at all times through our appearance, behavior and interactions with others. If we failed to meet your customer service expectations, we sincerely apologize. Please contact us at 202-667-3600 or Sgordon@borgerproperties.com so we can address your specific concerns. We look forward to speaking with you soon! Shelton and The Dorchester House Team
Lauren McDanell
Lauren McDanell: I just moved in about two months ago and am extremely pleased with the cleanliness, privacy, and size of my unit, as well as the friendly 24-hour front desk/security staff and the building amenities. I looked at another apartment building nearby for the same price that was much smaller and lower quality; glad I went with Dorchester instead. I’ve received compliments from other DC residents who visit on both the building and my unit. Check it out!
Jil V
Jil V: Terrible management and customer service, I was interested in an apartment and they didn’t even know what was available and kept giving me incorrect information. When I tried to speak to the building manager, he offered a move-in credit (which was already being offered to all prospective tenants anyway). A bad experience that led me to looking elsewhere.
Response: Thanks for bringing this concern to our attention. It is our goal to treat everyone respectfully and to have loyal residents. We strive for continual improvement and welcome your feedback. Please contact us at borgercares@borgermanagement.com so we can address your specific needs. Thanks again!
The Swede
The Swede: Roaches and mice common. Apartment renovations looks like a five year old did them. Lead paint covered by cheap acrylic paint that gets very sticky. AC units barely working. Top Internet speed available is 2mbit down.
Chat Tejada
Chat Tejada: Those who know Washington know that housing comes at a cost!! Great starter apartment with plenty of perks........... mine is not renovated but the space is simply HARD TO FIND in DC.
Response: Hello Chat, Thank you for the raving review! We hope you continue to have an amazing experience with us. DC certainly has its perks and finding the perfect home is no easy task. We are excited you are starting your journey here with us. Your comments and feedback help us to better serve our customers. We thank you for your time and invite you to reach out to us should you have any questions. Team at Dorchester House

Residences on the Avenue: what do users think?
Anna
Anna: My experience at the Avenue had been extremely positive minus the lease renewal and the leasing agents. Beware when you rent from them that they will provide great rates to get you in the door and then will raise your rent by at least 50% at your renewal and claim there is “nothing they can do about it.” Incredibly disappointed that this is how the property and the management company treat their tenants.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are disappointed to see your low star rating and would like to talk with you about your experience. Please feel free to give us a call or stop by the office.
Michael Najarian
Michael Najarian: Bradley and Michael are great and very professional. The property is alway clean and well kept. The maintenance men Gelner and Russell are always polite and prompt on any issues I may have. I highly recommend this property!
Response: Michael, thank you so much for providing us with feedback on your experience here! We really appreciate your positive review. If you ever need anything else from us, please feel free to give us a call or stop by. Have an awesome day!
Richard Payne
Richard Payne: I am very pleased with my decision to move to The Avenue. Great location, great amenities and a very helpful leasing staff. Roxana and Olivia were a great team providing information regarding the property as well as prompt follow up on any questions during the decision and move in process. They are very professional and a pleasure to deal with. The concierge service has also been great. I have not experienced any issues with package delivery.
Response: Richard, your recommendation means so much to us and we're so happy to have earned it. Thank you for taking the time to let us know how Roxana, Olivia and the concierge staff did. We're grateful for your residency and we hope you have a great day! - Bradley
Marc Wonders
Marc Wonders: I have lived at Residences for the past year and had a great experience. The location and apartment itself are great, and the complex has nice amenities- rooftop pool, fitness center that was nice to have during Covid, etc. The staff are a major plus too. Whitney was always very responsive and helpful, and they were flexible and easy to work with in extending my lease on a short-term basis. Concierge is friendly and make it easy to get packages.
Response: Hi Marc! Thank you so much for your kind words. We loved having you at The Avenue! Best of luck on your next adventure. If you find yourself in Dc again, we would love to welcome you back home at The Avenue! Whitney Waller, Property Manager
Irving Vierma Muro
Irving Vierma Muro: Although my stay was short, the experience in your facilities was phenomenal and pleasant. The view from the long, rectangular pool was unmatched. But the most extraordinary thing was their people. The people who work there do it with care and attention to detail. Roxana made her best tour ever and showed me beyond the usual. She and her team deserves 5 stars on almost everything, because even though some other things are not at the top of 5 stars, they are doing their best to achieve it.
Response: Irving Manuel Vierma Bujo, we strive for 100% satisfaction, and it is great to see you had such a positive experience at Residences on the Avenue. Thank you so much again for your feedback! We hope you have a great day!
NATALIA ESGUERRA
NATALIA ESGUERRA: These two months living here have been incredible! The location is fantastic, but the heart of this apartment building lies with the staff. They are very attentive and did everything possible to make me feel welcome. Roxana Castillo went above and beyond the call of duty to help me when I needed a hand, always with a big smile on her face!
Response: Natalia Esguerra, thanks for your praise and kind comments about our team. We hope to be of service to you again in the future. Best wishes, Residences on the Avenue
Floyd's
Floyd's: My visit to Residences on The Avenue was nothing short of excellent, and I owe that experience to Roxana. From the moment we met, i was constantly reassured that she would continue to take care of me, and be there for me every step of the way. I have a very busy and tight work schedule, so being prompt and mindful of one’s time is very much appreciated. My only regret is that my job threw me a sudden curve ball, requiring me to relocate to the west coast. Otherwise, I’m confident Roxana was going to ensure all my needs were met. Thank you, Roxana for being a shining example of a kind, attentive, and attention-to-detail oriented person. So many others can learn from your example.in Kudos to her!
Response: We strive to deliver an excellent experience and are glad you found this to be the case. We hope to see you soon!
Meredith Lapp
Meredith Lapp: Yvette, one of the concierges, is the best. Having lived here several years, I have gotten to know her quite well. I always look forward to seeing and chatting with her on the weekends. She is so helpful and kind – especially to my family when they visit. It would not feel the same here without Yvette!
Response: Meredith Lapp, thank you for the high star rating!

Varsity on K: what do users think?
Audrey Yang
Audrey Yang: Ceiling leaks and drips. Ceiling literally fell down one time. Homeless people sleeping in the lobby often. Hot water was gone for over a week (thanksgiving time). Internet outages all the time. Packages are always missing/stolen. Handicap equipment broken most of the time. Elevator is out all the time. Incredibly high fees and utilities. If you care about quality of life, don’t live here.
Response: Audrey, this is worrying to hear and certainly doesn't sound like the comfortable, safe, and pleasant living environment we strive to maintain for our residents. We will share this feedback with the appropriate staff to ensure we're doing everything we can to that end, but we also encourage you to call us at 2028640420 so we can address your concerns directly. We'd like to provide whatever assistance we can. Thank you.
Ethan Benn
Ethan Benn: Bria, the leasing manager, gave me a great tour of the Varsity on K! The building looked great and modern, as did the rooms and the amenities (a study space, gym and event space). She did a great job of answering my questions and reaching out afterward.
Response: Ethan, we're thrilled that Bria was such an asset throughout your tour! Thank you for the kind words and for taking the time to share your feedback - we hope to see you back at Varsity on K again soon! Be well.
Katie Thompson
Katie Thompson: (My friends live in this building, I do not). Varsity on K is such a disgusting apartment complex. Management is terrible (even compared to other questionable apartment complexes in the area). On several occasions, I have seen homeless people sleeping in the hallways. I have also seen blood and feces in the elevator on several occasions. It also takes forever to get maintenance requests completed. This building feels unsafe and I feel bad for people stuck in a lease here.
Response: Katie, this is worrying to read and not the living experience we pride ourselves on. Please get in touch so I can gather some more information and ensure these claims are properly addressed. Thank you, Tyler Bruce - Property Manager - (202) 864-0420
Guangfu Su
Guangfu Su: Bria was very professional and Tyler was very friendly, both of them in the leasing office made my living here better. However, the maintenance guy here was really unpleasant, he was the only one maintenance person, this guy was neither friendly nor professional. First, he had zero will to make friends with you, always acted, talked and walked like he is so proud of him with no reasons, never looked at you when you were in the same elevator or met in hallway even if he was actually very familiar with you, it was so weird. If he was very professional or serious in doing his job, then it was fine for him to ignore resident in life and being arrogant, however, the thing is that he was actually not serious in working, each time you made a request for maintenance, he would complain even more than you and made excuses by pushing all responsibilities for the problems to resident. Also, each time he saw you doing something, he would come to correct you, but all he said were nonsense which I verified afterwards, which means this guy never wanted to actually correct or help you out but just talking nonsense to make him feel good. I felt this guy was often hanging around everywhere inside of apartment for no reasons, not working but just wasting time. I suggest Varsity better fire this maintenance guy, without him Varsity would be a great place to live.
Response: Guangfu - thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry not all our team members have left the same great impression on you, and I'll certainly address this review internally to ensure we're providing outstanding resident care. If you'd like to discuss this, I also invite you to get in touch with me directly - my email is bria.giboney@bhomstudentliving.com. All the best, Bria Giboney - General Manager
Isabella Webster
Isabella Webster: I have never lived somewhere where it was so evident that the property management neither cared for residents nor practiced basic communication with the on site team. The individuals who work in the office and for on site maintenance are wonderful; however, they clearly have no support to actually do their jobs effectively. The internet is out so frequently that I’ve had to upgrade my cell phone plan to include unlimited hot spotting. I’ve regularly had to call out of work or reschedule exams due to internet outages. The tiles in the hallway above my apartment have been leaking water for months. I’ve had maintenance requests queued for repair since my move in inspection six months ago that remain untouched. The heat does not consistently work even in the midst of snowstorms and it seems the only way to get attention for these issues it to write a Google Review (as can be seen by others posted for this property which detail the additional ongoing issues of package/mail theft- which I’ve also experienced for packages totaling well over $300 in only the past six months).
Response: Isabella, I am sorry to read this feedback. We strive to address the concerns of our residents promptly and effectively, and it is disappointing that this has not been better reflected in your experience. I apologize for the issues you have encountered with your wifi and your heat and would appreciate another chance to speak with you to see what more I can do to help. If you are willing to discuss this further, please give me a call at your earliest convenience. Thank you, Tyler Bruce - Property Manager - (202) 864-0420
Anna Hip
Anna Hip: Our experience working at Varsity on K has been great!. Their team has always been very helpful, by working with them you can learn a lot. We are very thankful to everyone at Varsity for making our working experience unique.
Response: Anna, thank you for the review! We are so glad to hear that you have enjoyed your experience working with the Varsity on K community. We will be sure to pass on the kind words to the team. Have a great day!
Gabrielle Picard
Gabrielle Picard: The management here is absolutely abhorrent! This management does not answer any resident concerns. I have been in the elevators and seen what I can only imagine to be blood in the elevator. In addition to this there was a dumpster fire in the building and the alarm in my friends’ apartment didn’t go off. Only some alarms went off so I hadn’t evacuated until I smelled smoke and looked and saw people had evacuated.
Response: Gabrielle, Your frustration is understandable and I apologize for the issues you've raised here that have given you cause for concern. We take our resident's feedback very seriously, and I would like to step in and discuss these matters with you. Please consider giving me a call when you have a moment. Trellis House: what do users think?
Cynthia Gross
Cynthia Gross: Trellis house really is a beautiful building and in a great area in terms of transportation convenience. The leasing team is great (Banessa was super helpful throughout the application process), as well as a few concierge staff. I really only have 2 complaints. The structure of this building seems to have been poorly made. The walls are so thin, you can hear word for word conversations from neighbors. There are “quiet hours” in place but some tenants either don’t respect this policy or don’t realize how loud they are. There’s also daily smell of smoke in the hallway even though this is a non smoking building but this is not as big of a concern for me. The leasing team has been responsive and helpful in terms of dealing with my complaints (particularly Claudia has been extremely nice and accommodating) but the issues persist. If you are sensitive to sound, I would not recommend this building. Otherwise moving in was super easy with full access to the dock, the amenities are great, building is clean, location is great, apartment appliances are good, maintenance turnaround is quick, and receiving delivery/packages is super convenient with 24 hour concierge.
Response: We regret that we have achieved anything short of 5-stars, Cynthia. Should you wish to discuss your experience further, please do not hesitate to reach back out to our Resident Services Office team at (202) 769-3000
Omoyeni Oyekola
Omoyeni Oyekola: Beware, trellis house is ridiculously expensive and will charge you for anything. I and my roommate moved out of our old apartment and we thought we were done paying all the charges. Until, we got an email saying we had to pay $250 for the stovetop. There were no dents, nor scratches. Just normal wear and tear, that I am pretty sure could be removed with soap & iron sponge. The only reason I didn’t clean it myself was because we paid for $175 for the deep cleaning option offered by Trellis. After paying, I remember the leasing agent saying, “you don’t have to clean anything, just move out and we will take care of the cleaning.” It is frustrating that we pay so much for rent, yet we have to be extra cautious while cooking. Like, we only cooked about twice or thrice a month!
Response: Hello Omoyeni Oyekola, I’m sorry to hear about your disappointment with us, and I would like to personally assist you with making things right. Let’s get on a call and address this ASAP, we value your business. Please contact us at (202) 769-3000 when convenient.
Yeni Oyekola
Yeni Oyekola: When I first moved in, I sent a couple of videos of the apartment to my parents and I remember my dad saying “you live in an hotel” Trellis is a beautiful apartment with lots of amenities. My favorite amenities are the sky terrace (the view from the 6th floor is so amazing) and the productivity hub (I actually get a lot of work done there). The environment gives you a sense of ambiance and comfort. There’s even a private dining area and a yoga room. When I moved in, I only had one problem, my upstairs neighbor was a bit heavy footed. I should have complained from the beginning but I was worried about being a nuisance. But the noise became so unbearable that I had to make a complaint to management. The first person I spoke to wasn’t of much help. But I got an email from the property manager the very next business day. We interacted and scheduled a phone call. When we got on the call, he really listened, he didn’t overlook any of my issues. Not only did he promise to call my upstairs neighbor to see if they could quiet down, add rugs or carpet; he also said they would get me a white noise canceling machine. That was above and beyond for me, that call really made me feel valued and cared for. Ever since that call, I almost never hear my upstairs neighbor anymore and I also received the white noise canceling machine. Trellis is a beautiful apartment with a manager that really cares.
Response: Hello Yeni, Thank you for the wonderful review and for taking the time to share your feedback. Our priority is customer service and we are truly happy that we were able to make you feel at home! If you need anything, please don't hesitate to reach out! Best Regards, The Trellis House Team

Linda Armistead
Linda Armistead: I have yet to move my daughter in and already I am confident in giving Wayne Toombs a perfect score. Trellis House has a gold gem working for them. He has graciously walked my daughter and me through the entire process making it, not only stress free, enjoy. He has a wealth of knowledge and shares it with thoughtfulness, professionalism and kindness. He is undeniably the BEST at what he does. Having him guide us has truly put this overprotective mom’s mind at ease. God bless him and his loved ones!
Response: Hello Linda, Thank you for the wonderful review and for taking the time to share your feedback about Wayne. Our priority is customer service and we are ecstatic that we met that mark! Kind people like you make our job a pleasure.

Regus - District Of Columbia, Washington - Metro Center: what do users think?
Engel “D'Journey” Caceres
Engel “D'Journey” Caceres: Honestly, I am always on the move. Having the ability to book a conference room from wherever I am and been able to receive the quality of service they provide with everything I need for whichever type of conference or meeting I’m having it’s such peace of mind. Comparing others, I’ve never seen such dedication to help and allocate the customers as theirs. So thankful for your work guys, always helping me being more efficient. Keep up the great work & God bless.
Kamal Nawash
Kamal Nawash: I recently signed up with Regus in Washington DC. I met with a Regus manager and I informed him that I was looking for an office with a phone answering service, copy machine and fax line included in my rental fee which is the same setup I had with my previous landlord. I was told that “I am at the right place.” I was quoted a price of approximately $1275 for an “all inclusive” office that includes a “phone answering service with unlimited calls in the United States.” I was specifically told that when I receive a call the receptionist would answer the phone, ask who was on the phone and announce the call to me. I was also given a “deal” if I signed up for two years that I would be able to make copies at 5 cents per copy and I was shown the kitchen and told I will be able to use kitchen services for coffee and water, all included in my rental fee of $1275. With the above terms in mind, I signed up for a two year lease to start on October 16, 2017. Approximately three weeks prior to the commencement of my lease term, I visited the office space to meet the new area manager and that is when I learned that most of the representations made to me were false. In other words, I was defrauded. During my conversation with the new area manager, I discovered that my rent did NOT include a phone answering service, did NOT include use of the kitchen and did NOT include use of the copy machine at 5 cents per copy. I was now told that I do get a phone but I would have to pay extra to have my phone answered. I was also told that I would have to pay a monthly fee to use the kitchen and I would have to pay 15 cents per copy to use the copy machine.

The Lansburgh: what do users think?
Nate Walker
Nate Walker: Gorgeous apartments in an extraordinary location. Lots of sun and quiet units facing the internal quad. The management is kind and competent. First-rate experience all around!
Suzanne Scott
Suzanne Scott: We have lived in The Lansburgh on three separate occasions, each time we found everyone to be very accommodating and so easy to work with. The furnished apartments are well appointed with everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect, centrally located to everything including the National Mall, Capital One arena and metro. Not to mention great restaurants all around! Highly recommend!
hasna af
hasna af: Very nice place to stay and Strategic location!
John Jacques
John Jacques: Being TDYed to DC for 90 days, my agency housed me at the Landsburgh, in a one bedroom. Full kitchen and washer/dryer. The big gym and large lap pool were much nicer than expected. Every one of the front-dest employes are friendly and helpful. A good dry cleaners is located just kitty corner from the building. Two blocks from Galleria Metro transfer station and one block from Archives Metro. I have maid service once a week. Very nice furnishings, and 2 regular closets and a walk-in closet. Big screen Tv In living room and another in bedroom
Amber Nichelle
Amber Nichelle: After seeing their advertisement in the Foreign Service Journal, I contacted The Lansburgh and had a very thorough discussion with their Sales Rep and his Manager (a female) about four months before departing our overseas post. On the phone, we went into great detail on how we would be on government per diem for 9 months, and wanted to know if the rental would be fully covered with the sliding scale for this extended period of time. Both emphatically assured us it would be. Fast forward to five days before arrival to D.C. while on home leave in a rental car in the middle of USA nowhere, and we find out that in fact, the Sales Rep and his Manager are not only unsure of what the sliding scale amounts are, but also that our rent would only be covered for five months and we would have to pay the difference out of pocket for the remaining months. To add to this excitement, when I requested to speak to the Manager, she was extremely defensive and hostile with me although I was very calm with her from the beginning – it truly was the (VERY much unappreciated) icing on the cake. Because of this, would highly recommend avoiding this rental if you are on government per diem – they left us in a bind just a few days before arrival at the worst possible time. I understand it was on us for not getting everything in writing, but am very confused on how a company advertises in the FSJ and appears to be unfamiliar with per diem in D.C. Fortunately DOS housing came through for us and located fantastic last minute housing at an Archstone.
Bryan Wong
Bryan Wong: Spacious rooms with good amenities (indoor pool and hot tub, fitness center, sauna and stream room). There is also a nice interior courtyard available for guest use.
Allie Cantu
Allie Cantu: This is quite nice lodging! Our family booked a pet-friendly condo here when we decided to evacuate in advance of Hurricane Florence. So far our stay has been lovely. The staff have been helpful, and the neighborhood is great!

Union Place: what do users think?
Morgan Mueller
Morgan Mueller: Don’t live here if you like getting your packages delivered, or good customer service. There are so many options for apartment buildings similar to this one - I would highly recommend choosing somewhere else. Don’t be fooled by the tour - the tour was great and they really try and take care of you up until that lease is signed. After that, you are on your own .Very high staff turnover, poor communication, and a general lack of care from the moment you sign your lease. When I first moved in they didn’t even have keys or my parking pass ready for me when I arrived, nor did they have move-in bins/dolleys for me (when I was guaranteed one several times over the phone). I had to wait almost 48 hours just to have a working FOB that allowed me access to the building and the ability to lock my apartment door if I left. Everything about the building seems nice on the surface, but once you live in the building for a few months you slowly start to realize how many little things this building does wrong. I hate giving bad reviews and seldom do, but I’m sincerely hoping that someone sees this and just decides to live elsewhere. Only reason I’m giving two stars instead of one is because the cleaning and maintenance staff were great and the overall location is convenient and close to a lot of restaurants/grocery stores. Even despite this, I couldn’t move out fast enough.
Response: We are disappointed to learn of your experience here at Union Place, but will take this opportunity to improve. If you are willing to give us another chance, please reach out to us at unionplace@tollbrothers.com to speak to our manager directly. Regards, Union Place Team
Leon Barker
Leon Barker: Great place, perfect. I never heard a single neighbor in my 4-5 months of stay. The ONLY downside is that it’s right next to Union Station which means you will have trains honking their loud horns at any time of day/night. This can also be a benefit considering you have the Union Station and NoMa train stops within 5-10 minutes walk.
Response: Hi Leon, Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we did. If you have any further questions, please give us a call. We're always happy to help! Union Place Team
Jenay Wilson-Adams
Jenay Wilson-Adams: The scheduled tour was amazing and although I won’t be moving to DC at this time due to changes with my job offer, I will always keep Union Place in mind thanks to Kimberley (sorry if I butchered her name).I was very pleased with her professionalism and knowledge to answer all of my questions efficiently. There was also another member present that was informative as well, my apologies I don’t recall her name. Great property!
Response: Hi Jenay, we are very happy to have provided you with such a positive experience! We love to hear about the experiences at Union Place. We can't wait to see you again, if you need anything else, please feel free to reach out to us. Take Care, Union Place Team
Marissa Jones
Marissa Jones: Very dangerous apartment at the moment. While I love the decor, and the majority of my neighbors, there is one neighbor that is a danger and the apartment has done nothing about it. I recently witnessed this individual walking completely naked down the hallway attempting to break into apartments. I yelled at them, called 911, and notified the leasing office. This person has since stolen 2 dogs, stolen wallets, packages from the building and assaulted a concierge person by throwing hot tea in her face after she asked that the person no longer steal packages. The icing on the cake was that the tenant was watching the children through a hole in a gate at the playground of the daycare that is located inside union place. There is a video of this and the building did nothing. It also took the leasing office MONTHS to send an email out to let people know that there is a known thief wondering the halls unclothed and who is dangerous.
Response: Hi Marissa Jones, we can assure you that we do not find this type of behavior acceptable, and we would like to address the situation you have described. We would like to work towards a resolution, so if you are willing, please reach out to us at unionplace@tollbrothers.com to discuss this further. Union Place Team
Juanita Reyes
Juanita Reyes: This property participates in the ADU program and I was informed by the OTA that it is illegal to charge more then $50 for an application fee in DC and this property charges $75. I reached out to one of the leasing agents and she had an attitude when I brought this to her attention. I have also reported them to the OTA & DCHD for further investigation. Also, the reviews are true. Stay away.
Response: Juanita Reyes, we regret to hear that you had a negative experience with us, but would appreciate the chance to turn your experience around. The Eviction Record Sealing Authority Amendment Act of 2021 was passed by the DC Council on March 1st and sent to the Mayor on March 14th. She signed it on March 28th. The process in DC then requires a 30-day Congressional Review period. We would like to work towards a resolution, so if you are willing, please reach out to us at unionplace@tollbrothers.com to discuss this further. Looking forward to hearing from you. Regards, Ashana Bastola Property Manager

Oakwood Suites & Studios Dupont Circle Washington DC: what do users think?
Fredric Mitchell
Fredric Mitchell: Nice place. Went to a small wedding, which was intimate. Stayed in a suite in the courtyard. It was relatively quiet. Bed and pillows were not very comfortable. Continental breakfast was fine. Nothing too expansive. Location is nice and a lot of shops and food places around. Just would have preferred a more comfortable sleeping situation.
David Jarnitskii
David Jarnitskii: Great check in, the guy at the front was super nice and gave us reccomendations. Location is good too. The rooms are quite spacious and very comfortable. We only stayed for 1 night but it was very nice. We would come back. Thanks!
Sivan Weizmann
Sivan Weizmann: Good check in, and the guy at the tiny reception desk was nice. Location is great and there is plenty of coffee shops, restaurants and attractions in a walking distance. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. And the building is beautiful. However, one big issue is that this is a 3 floor building and the reception is often unattended which makes me uncomfortable since anyone can come in as they please. In addition, if you are hoping to get a good night sleep than forget about it because except for the noise you get from DuPont circle, it also felt like we were sleeping in a dorm building. There were loud yelling and laughter noises ALL night long that kept us awake, and clearly can be heard EVERYWHERE throughout only 3 floors with the acoustic of an old building and no staff to address it. It is a shame, but unless some new reviews can indicate that 24/7 staff has been instated and availability and presence has improved, this will not be a place I’ll be coming back to.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of.
Gabriel Rodriguez
Gabriel Rodriguez: While the facilities are gorgeous, and the location was spectacular, the service is lackluster. The continental breakfast consisted of a few pastries and cereal with some yogurt in the fridge. The front desk is frequently unattended, which is concerning. Moreover, I was asked “when are you going to check out” an hour before checkout by an attendant or manager who decided to knock on my door. In the rush, I left my coat, and called to retrieve it. The front desk said “check back tomorrow” and “good luck, I hope it’s there” when I said that I was instead going to check this evening. The service does not match the façade nor interior decor.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. Beverly Wilson
Beverly Wilson: My experience has been spectacular! I’ve only been here about a month and I’m so pleased. I extend special thanks to Stacey who provided us with all the specifics & information needed & she did the virtual tour with me & my daughter; Ying, the assistant property manager, made the application process extremely smooth and easy—these ladies were the absolute best! The Concierges (Dorita, Kim, Brittany) are all so amazing & possess such a willingness to help whenever assistance is needed. Kudos to the entire staff here at 555! Also, everything in the building is wonderful. I love the location of 555–it’s quiet, great location, within walking distance to the National Mall & museums, metro, drugstore & The Wharf—the relaxing rooftop including all of the amenities offered here are great! To sum it up, I’m a happy camper here and plan to be a longtime resident. Therefore, if you’re looking for the perfect apartment & a great location in DC, please consider 555.🤗

Marise S
Marise S: I moved to 555 approximately 3 weeks ago now and my overall experience has been Wonderful: The leasing and maintenance staff have been particularly helpful prior, during and after the move. More specifically, I was first greeted by Julia the first time I inquired about the apartment building. I arrived late because I mistakenly went to another similarly named apt building; Julia graciously rescheduled the tour and it only got better from that point on. I also met Jonna who stepped in during the process for questions that could not be answered by Julia. They were both extremely helpful, courteous and professional during the application process. Subsequently, I scheduled another appointment with Stacey because I needed to take measurement in the apartment; this also went flawlessly. Stacey stayed with me the entire time and offered suggestions as far as the type of furniture would fit best and showed me a model furnished apartment for comparison. It was just not about being courteous but I found that recommendations and suggestions are particularly helpful from a Leasing Agent. Stacey also gave me a brief synopsis of the area, for instance, grocery stores proximity, parking availability in the area and zoning restrictions etc... Her professionalism is commendable along with a very gracious personality! I also had the pleasure of meeting Antonio, one of the maintenance staff, who gave me a final tour of the apartment to make sure all the amenities are in working order. He was very thorough and assisted me in understanding the digital electronics of dishwasher, oven, thermostat: he also asked me if the shower water pressure and temperature were suitable for me. I can go on and on. The building is very modern and new and very importantly, well maintained in every way: clean, organized. The architecture of building is well designed, sleek and linear with a modern simplicity. The rooftop has an amazing view of the city and the water. All in all, I love this place and the staff is absolutely Awesome and 555 is a great place to call Home!
Response: M Schutt, thank you for your incredibly thoughtful review! We strive to provide top quality service to every resident and guest and we are so thrilled to hear that you have enjoyed your experience here at 555 E Street! Timothy Pierce
Timothy Pierce: I moved to 555 at the end of October and I absolutely love it here. The public spaces are always clean and the staff are wonderful. I communicated with Stacey for about a month prior to committing to 555. Stacey is a true professional and she was great to work with. I’m always greeted with a friendly gesture every time I walk through the front door. I have to give a special thank you to Dorita for helping me get situated on my move-in day. Kim goes out of her way to help me with my packages in the evenings. I’m happy to call 555 home!
Response: Your recommendation means so much to us and we're so happy to have earned it. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if there's anything we can do for you... and we appreciate the the lunches last week!! :) All the best, Jonna Kirkpatrick - Property Manager
Zalak Raval
Zalak Raval: Jonna and team have been fantastic to work with! As someone moving to DC from out of state, Jonna was able to send me videos of the apartment the day I contacted her, and was able to meet my request for specific floor plans within my desired price range, and was there to guide me through the specifics of my lease to make sure my move-in was smooth and seamless. 10/10 would recommend.
Response: Zalak, we are so appreciative of your positive feedback and are so happy you've received great service from the team! That's what we're here for. Have an amazing day and we'll see you soon! Jonna Kirkpatrick, Property Manager
Frances Mellion
Frances Mellion: 555 E Street SW is a great place to live. The staff was extremely accommodating prior to and during my move. Now that I’m settled in, I can say the 555 community exceeded my expectations.I am impressed at the speed and the efficiency of the management team. For every question there has been an answer so far, to everything I needed settling in. I always get a quick, friendly and personal response. The neighborhood is friendly, amenable and conveniently located. Ying and the 555 staff are a great team and clearly care a lot about their residents. Thank you guys for making it so great to be a resident here!

Camden Roosevelt Apartments: what do users think?
Maryann Ford
Maryann Ford: I only lived here for a short time but it was a fantastic experience. It’s a building for adults; there were never any parties or problems with noise late at night or at any time. I actually never heard anything from the apts on either side of me or above and below me. It was the quietest apt I’ve ever lived in. It was a dream. The building is lovely with great amenities and it’s incredibly well run by Jessica, the building’s manager. I can’t say enough good things about Jessica; she went out of her way to make me feel at home there even before I committed to the apt. Her dedication to the building and its residents is unsurpassed in my experience, and I have lived in many buildings in both DC and NYC. The maintenance staff is also terrific. On the rare occasions that I had an issue in the apt with an appliance or plumbing, it was taken care of within hours. And the entire building is always extremely clean. The front desk staff (Freddy, Ruth, Caroline, Michael, and others) are also great. Always ready to help with package retrieval or anything else I ever needed. Freddy in particular is a gem. An incredible asset to the company and the building. I unequivocally recommend living here.
Response: Ms. Maryann, It has been our absolute honor to welcome you home to Camden Roosevelt! Thank you for taking the time to share your kind words and your experience as a resident. We hope to one day welcome you back to DC and will surely miss seeing you around! Thank you for being such a gem! Team Roosevelt
Katie Hurley
Katie Hurley: So far I have loved living in Camden Roosevelt. The building is beautiful and well-maintained, and the staff is so incredibly helpful and kind. Big shout out to Johanna and Davida in the leasing office whom helped my husband and I through our moving process and are always available if we have questions or need anything. This place truly feels like home.
Response: Thank you for sharing your feedback, Katie! We are so pleased to hear your loving your new home. Please don't ever hesitate to reach out if you need anything!
Patrick Marshall
Patrick Marshall: I lived at Camden for a year in a two bed two bath with another roommate and I have nothing but good things to say about it. Given the year it has been, I was personally impressed with how Camden handled everything and the professionalism of the staff. Post-renovations, you do not have much of a reason to leave the complex. Between the little details across every aspect of the entrance, the huge gym, the pool table room, the conference centers, the amazing fire pit and courtyard, the wine cellar, incredibly responsive and friendly maintenance/front office staff, you have everything you need. Yes, you pay a lot, but you get a tremendous amount in return. Highly highly recommend.
Response: Patrick, We truly appreciate your taking the time to share your feedback. We could not ask for better residents to welcome home or a better holiday sentiment! Thank you for choosing Camden Roosevelt and for brightening our day with your warm words. Wishing you all the best! Camden Roosevelt
Stephanie Cramer
Stephanie Cramer: Camden Roosevelt Apartments is truly luxury living. The staff goes above and beyond daily to ensure that residents feel at home and are a part of this high-end community. From the coffee kept fresh throughout the day, to the helpful office staff that treat you like family, to the talented maintenance crew who will help you hang artwork and more - there is no stone left unturned in order to provide exceptional service to all residents. Personally speaking, there is not a staff member that has not helped me to an exceptional degree. Jon, Gabrielle, Freddie, Matt, you name it, they all are just incredible. After living in the DC area now for the past 10 years, I can saw without reservation that I highly recommend Camden Roosevelt.
Response: Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to say such kind things about us! We truly love serving our residents and making sure everyone feels at home here at Camden Roosevelt. It's been an absolute pleasure!
Emma Miller
Emma Miller: Absolutely have loved living at Camden Roosevelt for the past two years. We were made to feel at home from the day we toured the apartment. The staff here is incredibly inviting and helpful, they have continued to exceed our expectations. As we move out of state, we wish we could take this entire community with us. Thank you to everyone at Camden Roosevelt! If you are looking for a place to live in DC- Camden is THE place!
Response: Emma, We have absolutely LOVED every moment of your residency as well! We would totally consider tagging along, especially if you will be anywhere near the beaches. We wish you both success and happiness as you continue your life journey. You will be missed! Sincerely, your team Roosevelt

Harbor Place Apartment Homes: what do users think?
Meena C
Meena C: I only give it five stars today because of Mr Joe Barker, and that’s the only reason. Overall experience is 1 star. I have lived here for 2 years and the maintenance is a disaster. Luckily, Mr Joe was sent to my apartment to fix the clogged tub. He is, by far, THE MOST professional employee on the maintenance team. He came in fifteen minutes before closing hours, stayed and made sure he fixed the problem, and then cleaned up the mess!!! He should really be the head of maintenance because whoever is in charge at the moment isn’t doing their job. Thank you again Mr Joe!!!
Response: Hello Meena, thank you for your feedback and kind words. We are so pleased to have you as a resident and even more pleased you are happy with the work done by Joe.
Christina Coles
Christina Coles: The maintenance man Mr. Joe does a great job. He fixed my freezer and refrigerator. My food spoiled and I had to toss it all out, he went above and beyond and took the bags to the dumpster for me. He also fixed the garbage disposal I didn’t realize was broken.
Response: Hello Christina, thank you for the feedback and kind words. We are very pleased you are happy with our maintenance department and especially the services done by Joe.
Nicole Brooks
Nicole Brooks: Mr . Joe in maintenance always go over and beyond to ensure the safety and concerns of the residents. Each maintenance request I’ve put in Joe made sure a that problem was fulfilled. Thanks Joe for all your hard work.
Response: Good Morning Miss. Brooks, Thank you for the kind words about Joe, we are always happy to know that our team is providing excellent service to our residents. I will be sure to let him know of your nice review. We are happy to have you here at Harbor Place as a resident and we will continue to strive to make sure you always have a pleasant experience here at Harbor Place Apartments!.
KayDee 8ch
KayDee 8ch: Maintenance Team member Joe Barker is top-tier! EXTREMELY attentive, respectful, and tidy!ALWAYS willing to assist and follow-up!I wish there were 10 more like him in the property!
Response: Hello KayDee 8ch, thank you for the feedback and kind words. We are very pleased you are happy with our maintenance department and especially the services done by Joe.
Mary Hughes
Mary Hughes: Gave a 4 star, for this job. The job itself deserved a 5 they did a fabtastic job. But it took months to get the repair done, for that I had to knock of a star.
Response: Hello Miss Hughes, thank you for the feedback and kind words. We are very pleased you are happy with the work done and sorry it took so long to complete.

The Gale Eckington: what do users think?
Treon Jones
Treon Jones: When I visited The Gale Eckington Paris greeted me in the lobby. She was very welcoming and attentive to my needs for looking for a one bedroom apartment. Paris took me on a tour of the property, and answered all my questions in a respectful and professional manner! This property is very beautiful and conveniently close to the metro station and other amenities. Although I am still apartment hunting this could definitely one of my options. The customer service and professionalism of Paris definitely could possibly sway me in the direction of being a resident of The Gale Eckington!
Response: Thank you for sharing your 5-star experience, Treon! We're so glad Paris gave you a great tour and answered all your questions, and we'll be sure to pass along your kind words to her. If we can be of any additional assistance with your home search, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Ben Wilhelm
Ben Wilhelm: Recently moved in to the Gale, so far everything has been smooth and relatively easy to navigate. I appreciate all of the staff that I have communicated with so far and found them to be very kind and helpful. I was reading some of the negative reviews and think a lot has changed from the times those were written so as of right now I would recommend this place for sure. We have a puppy here who loves to let the world know he can make noise sometimes and the neighbors and community here seem to be very friendly and understanding about that. I look forward to the rest of the year here
Response: Welcome to our community, Ben! We're glad you and your puppy are feeling right at home in our friendly environment. If we can be of any assistance, please reach out to our team.
Christina Dinkins
Christina Dinkins: Just a few good praises to give out!! I’ve been here for over four years I’ve seen the good and the bad but what makes living here great is some of the staff!! First let’s praise some management personnel there’s Ms.Jackie since day one she’s been very helpful informative and her motherly attitude makes her just a brilliant and refreshing spirit to interact with when visiting the leasing office. Derrick is another professional who has a great spirit his passion to do his best to help the residents are overwhelming respected and appreciated. The maintenance department is phenomenal Tony Omar and Steffen are the “BEST EVER” always prompt and their response time is amazing always making sure your apartment amenities are functioning and safe just all the way A1 professionals…Last but not least my concierge ladies the two most outstanding ladies are Sydney who goes over and beyond to help resolve issues answer questions just her graceful & positive attitude makes the front desk warm and friendly not to mention there’s Jasmine the package concierge who if I was asked to rate this young lady it would be hands down her ability to make sure you receive your packages is a breeze she’s very detailed about locating your packages delivery times and her pleasant mannerisms just tops it off as a person of first contact. There are areas of improvement but for the most it’s Home Sweet Home!! P.S Please bring James back super pleasant sweet professional delightful helpful and just a positive asset to the management team!!
Response: Christina, we cannot thank you enough for sharing such high praise for our dedicated team! Jackie, Derrick, Tony, Omar, Steffen, Sydney, Jasmine, and James will all be uplifted by your kind recognition. We love taking care of our residents and value your feedback, so please let us know if there is anything we can do to increase your daily comfort.
Crystal Brumfield
Crystal Brumfield: Having a really strange experience with The Gale. Paris was really nice and helpful with explaining everything to me when I came in person to learn more about the property but was unable to show me a unit at the time. I explained how I was from out of town so it was suggested I utilize the virtual option to view a unit, I booked a virtual tour but no one ever contacted me with a zoom link or anything. I called multiple times, no one answers the phones. I kept getting emails and text from “Leo” asking if I was interested in the property, I would respond and wouldn’t get an answer. It’s all fairly strange and unfortunate. As a past resident that was looking forward to moving back, this property has severely depreciated both in its physical structure and customer service. After this many red flags, I’m both no longer interested and would not suggest them to potential renters.
Keyiania Youngblood
Keyiania Youngblood: Horrible leasing agent service. Would not share information, was not personable and kept requesting me to refer to the website over her actually explaining the information. Distasteful and rude. These units are $2,000 , I would not spend my $$ here .
Nikki Mammano
Nikki Mammano: I have a very strong love, hate relationship with the Gale Eckington. I lived here for two years and over the course of the two years it vastly changed. For one, it seems that they have a very high turn over rate and the people at the concierge who would always put a smile on my face, were either fired or left. Their packaging system is not very great and they have lost a few packages of mine before. The leasing office and concierge now is not very attentive when you have questions, especially when it comes to billing and rent payments. The one thing I would say is great about the Gale is maintenance. Tony is awesome and he has been there since I moved in. In addition, do not be surprised to find an ambulance or police out front every single day and night. Without fail, there is always either one, or both, or even a fire truck. **On my last night at the Gale before I moved out, there was a stabbing in the lobby. It was a very distasteful sight to say goodbye to the Gale with seeing a bunch of blood all over the floor.
Response: Hi Nikki, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We appreciate your kind words for Tony and will be sure to pass them along. We will address your feedback with the rest of our team and work to improve for current and future residents. Feel free to email us anytime at PM_TheGale@jbgsmith.com if you want to share anything else. We wish you all the best in the future.
aaron howard
aaron howard: I am starting to have a negative and terrible experience with The Gale Eckington. Overall the unit is fine and it serves the purpose I need it for, a roof over my head and a good location. However, due to recent events in my life I need to end my lease two months early. I reached out to the office, stopped by multiple times, and shot numerous emails to the identified staff members and so far have only received ONE response. I responded to that email and it has been radio silence for an entire week. When I stop by the office they are in "meetings" or "not in at the moment". From a logistical planning standpoint (getting movers, figuring out my exit plan, etc) you would think there would be some form of communication to help. I have been pleasant throughout this struggle. I was cordial, understanding, and accomodating. How can I work with an office that has no desire to work with me?
Response: Aaron, thank you for bringing this to our attention. As you are aware, our team is typically very responsive, and we are genuinely sorry to hear about your difficulty reaching us about your move. At your convenience, please contact me at 703-685-7271 so I can look into this matter and help facilitate communications. I look forward to your call.

Camden NoMa Apartments: what do users think?
DejaRai Hawkins
DejaRai Hawkins: I had an amazing experience here on my search for an apartment. I attended a tour with Dara who was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and made me feel at home during our tour. Her energy was absolutely amazing and welcoming as well. Any questions we had, she answered them in full and I left with all the answers to the questions I had when I first arrived. I HIGHLY recommend Camden for anyone looking to move at the moment. It is such a beautiful living space and the rooftop was the best part of the tour for me.
Response: Hello DejaRai, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are thrilled to learn you had amazing experience with Dara. We would love to have you living with us as we would love nothing more than you continue making it a place you are happy to call home. Please reach out to us at noma@camdenliving.com if you need any assistance. Sincerely, Camden NoMa
Tiffany Minor
Tiffany Minor: Camden Noma continues to be home because of the amazing leasing agents, communication with residents, and attentiveness to details. My leasing agent Ci was wonderful. Not only did she provide me with excellent service but I also witnessed Ci going out of her way to greet every future resident and current resident we encountered. The teamwork Ci and the other agents displayed to secure every detail that was important to my rental was outstanding.
Response: Good morning, Tiffany, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. Thank you for continuing to call Camden NoMa home! We do truly care about our community and our residents and makes us extremely happy when we surpass their expectations. We are looking forward to having you living with us for years to come. Sincerely, Camden NoMa
Blain Bekele
Blain Bekele: Read, read, read the bad reviews before moving in. I have been living in this unit for exactly 37 days now. As a lot of reviews pointed out this is a a very expensive, fake luxury unit. If you visit, do not do a self tour, i believe they use this to avoid disclosing specific information about units. at least that is exactly what happened to me and my housemate. you could end up with this lovely views every single day. on one side we have a revolving of construction trucks, workers and others taking their lunch break, changing cloth and some people occasionally wave to me while i sit in my living room. on the other side we have this lovely contraption of fake flowers and bed sheets for a view. For some reason my neighbor has permission to cover our window so she has privacy to her balcony but management seem to not care about our entire living room privacy. I will be updating this as soon as possible, Today I was informed by management that the only solution is for us to switch units.
Response: Hi Blain, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your experience. We strive to ensure all of our residents are comfortable in their homes. We want every encounter with us and our community to be memorable and do have different tour types available to our prospects. We are always in the office before and after each experience to answer any questions and we do want our residents to be happy living with us. We are happy to set up a time to discuss your concerns, please reach out to us at nomamanagers@camdenliving.com Sincerely, Camden NoMa
Anahita H. Matin
Anahita H. Matin: I have been living in Camden Noma since 2020. It is a great community and such a beautiful home for me. The concierge staff are amazing! Duncan has always been helpful. The maintance staff of this building are very resposive and quick. They are always attentive, and fixed any problem my apartment had at the earliest possible. Onetime I had an emergeny on a Sunday and one of them showed up within two hours fixing a leak. The leasing office staff are very helpful, pleasant, welcoming and professional. They always dealt with any issue in a timely manner. Last but not least, a big shout out to the community manager, Michelle. she is always very responsive in anything I as a resident raise to her. Her leadership and communication skills are great. One time during early days of covid the unit on top of me did something crazy and poured all the dirt in my balcony. It was a mess! I will never forget how Michelle personally took care of this issue and went above and beyond to resolve the matter. The building is very well kept and clean with beautful court yard and rooftop. I love my apartment and I love living here.
Response: Hello Anahita, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. Thank you for continuing to choose to call Camden Noma home. We strive to deliver service that will exceed our residents' expectations, and we are very thrilled that we have met the mark with you. Every team member takes great pride in taking care of our residents and community. Rest assured that we will continue to make your living experience here at Camden NoMa one you will always be proud to call home. We hope to have you planted with us in the years to come. If you ever need anything, please reach out to t us. We are always ready to help. Best, Camden NoMa
Chantelle Smith
Chantelle Smith: Dara helped me and my roommate look for a 2bedroom apartment. She was very knowledgeable and patient with us. We had a lot of questions and she made sure to put our mind at ease with making the right decision. We decided to move forward with Avalon First and M across the street from them but It was a very close call. Thank you Dara
Response: Hi Chantelle! We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with Dara. We are honored to have her on our team! Please know you are always welcome here at Camden NoMa! Sincerely, Your Camden NoMa Team
Arthur Brown
Arthur Brown: This community is great, definitely checks off all my boxes. Great amenities, affordable luxury living and the staff was great. I personally toured with Ciarra who is very well knowledge with the community’s perks and market. I would highly recommend this community to family and friends as it does play a very important role in my decision making.
Response: Hello Arthur, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are thrilled to know you have had a great experience with our team and community. We look forward to having you join our Camden NoMa family. Rest assured, you will continue to experience Living Excellence with us. Have a great day! Camden NoMa
Frank Phillips
Frank Phillips: Excellent experience at Camden NoMa. The entire complex was gorgeous and the staff was great. I would absolutely recommend checking them out. My partner and I toured 6 different apartment buildings and Camden had the nicest individual apartments of all the buildings we toured. Before getting into that, I want to mention how exceptional the customer service was. The leasing agent who took us on our tour was Dara Tucker and it was the most comfortable I have ever felt touring an apartment. Dara was very friendly and super helpful. She showed us 3 different units and all of the buildings amenities and really made us want to move there. After we finished our tour, Camden became our #1 choice. The pros: the kitchens were the best ones we saw all day by far, the modern feel and huge island were a major draw. The patio on the first floor apartment we toured was huge and private. The room with a glass wall was strange but added something unique to the apartment that we actually really liked. The buildings amenities are everything you’d expect from luxury apartments and I could’ve totally seen myself hanging out in the courtyard on summer nights with friends. The negative for us were the “dog parks.” The parks are really tiny and we probably wouldn’t use them because we have a bigger dog. We decided not to choose Camden NoMa to move into and the only reason why was because we needed a different location. NoMa is a great area and close to Union Market, but we really wanted to live within walking distance of where we work.
Response: Hello Mr. Phillips, Thank you for sharing your experience! We also thank you for recognizing Dara. She is amazing and is a great addition to our team. It warms our hearts knowing that although you did not choose our property, you took the time to share and leave your positive feedback. Our doors are always open and you all are welcomed anytime. Take care and good luck on your hunt for your new home. Warm regards, Your Camden NoMa Team
