Capitol Hill Stay - Veteran Owned Furnished Housing Temporary Extended Stay Washington DC Since 1997: what do users think?

Katie Wilkes: I stayed here for a month while house hunting. Fabulous, convenient location to everything you need. One of the best parts about the house is the private little courtyard/patio space out front. Stunning in the springtime. Capitol Hill Stay was attentive and extremely communicative the entire time. The neighbors were also so kind and helpful. But I have to say, it was the sincere thoughtfulness of the people who run this hospitality group that exceeded my expectations. Tragically, I lose my pup of 16 year unexpectedly while here (we were grateful to enjoy many days of gorgeous weather on that patio together). Upon check out and kind conversation with Phil, one of the staff members, the team let me know they had made a donation to a rescue organization in my pup’s honor. It brought me to tears. Stay with them if you can- I don’t think you’ll regret it.
Response: Thank you for the kind review Katie. We were very sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved dog but it makes us happy to know you enjoyed some time together there on the patio. Thank you again for staying with Capitol Hill Stay. Your stay (and others) are what helps us stay in business, pay our staff, cleaners, landscapers, etc, so on behalf of everyone we thank you very much.

Zach Powell: My wife and I have never been to a big city before. Coming from a small town in Kentucky, we were worried about coming to D.C. However, the owner (Brian) and Louise has been absolutely wonderful! The apartment was in a very safe and very upscale neighborhood. We were able to pay for a secure parking spot as well. Our neighbors were quiet and working professionals (always gone). If there were any questions, someone always answered them promptly via chat or text! I cannot reccomend Capitol Hill stay enough! If we are ever in DC again, we will be staying with them!
Response: Thanks Zach. It was a pleasure having you. We get a lot of people in from small towns and many later tell us Capitol Hill feels very much like a village within the big city, so it's kindof the best of both worlds.

ell bee: We recently had the opportunity to stay at one of the John Marshall House units on Capitol Hill. The unit was fabulous - the perfect size for a couple, stocked with everything you could need, and very clean. Location can't be beat - close to everything in the Capitol Hill area and a very safe neighborhood. Property owners were fabulous as well - great communication, and they provided us with helpful suggestions and tips. Would love to stay here again!
Response: Thank you so much. It was a pleasure having you. Please look us up if you need furnished housing in DC again.

michelle baum: We stayed at one of their properties in Eastern Market/Capitol Hill neighborhood In D.C in October 2021. They were very responsive and answered all our questions. We were able to have off street parking for a very reasonable price! Unit was beautifully kept, clean and had everything we needed. Quiet neighborhood and great area to have as base for DC travel. Would highly recommend staying with Capitol Hill Stay groups' properties. Support this great veteran owned business!
Response: Thank you Michelle. It was a pleasure having you. Please don't hesitate to look us up again if you need furnished housing in DC

Christopher Wagner: I almost don't want to write this because I don't want the competition the next time I look for a place to stay in DC. But everybody's got to make a living and the owners of Capitol Hill Stay have earned theirs, so I have to tell the truth - the place was fantastic. A great location, a great place, detailed and friendly communication from the host, a backyard to relax a bit in and a place to leave the car and not do the DC street parking shuffle. It was like having a dream home in DC and I hope we can luck into it again sometime down the line a bit...
Response: Thanks Christopher. You stayed in one of my favorite places. Very glad you enjoyed it. Don't hesitate to look us up the next time you need furnished lodging in DC.

Veronica Thomas: Location! Location! Location! What you sacrifice in size for a studio by the heart of the Capitol, you made up for it with location! The owners were responsive, the place was clean, and we felt very secure! We were driving in from out of town and took advantage of the parking space behind the building and don't regret it! We were able to see our vehicle from our window and access it easily! The neighborhood was quiet and it was a great launching point for our family of four!
Response: Thank you very much Veronica. It was a pleasure having you. Please don't hesitate to look us up again should you need short term lodging in DC.

Monika McDermott: Brian and Luis at Capitol Hill Stay are fantastic, as are their properties. We stayed at 823 A st NE, Apt 1, and had a wonderful time. The apartment was clean and surprisingly well-appointed. We were there for 5 weeks and the owners were attentive to our every need (not that there were many). We loved the neighborhood - Eastern Market is such a dream to have so close. I highly recommend this small company and their great and interesting apartments. Also, they're pet friendly!
Response: Thank you so much. We truly appreciate your business.

Leslie Vargas: My friend and I came to Washington DC for a girls trip to visit her daughter and my son, who is a student there. We loved the apartment from the first second we stepped into as it instantly felt like a home away from home. It is beautiful and well furnished with high ceilings and tall windows. The apartment is immaculate and every detail is attended to, including a coffee pot that makes delicious coffee and quality linens that are so comfortable after a long day of seeing the sites. It is located in a safe neighborhood and is a nice walk to The Eastern Market, independently owned boutiques, restaurants, a CVS and a wine shop. The apartment is so inviting that we decided to cook there one night and it was so convenient that the The Eastern Market is full of lovely fresh vegetables, fresh meats and a bakery. Outside the market were street vendors with quality goods to sell which was so fun to browse. I have found that where you stay can make such a difference in the tone of a vacation and this one certainly did. It was a such a wonderful time and I’m looking so forward to visiting DC with my husband and staying there again.

Diana Ogarkova: We visited Washington for a tourist trip as a family, and this house exceeded our expectations. It's an impressive historic 3-story townhouse close to Capitol. The location was perfect: the neighborhood is quiet, and at the same time close to everything. We liked that we could get everywhere by walking, at the same time we were away from the city noise. Space: it was nicely decorated with a homely feel and spacious, plenty of shared space and 3 bedrooms. I personally loved the books collection on the 2nd floor living room. Recommended: if you are in Washington and want to feel like a local :).
Response: Thank you Diana. That was my own home for 15 years, so I absolutely love it when others are happy with their stay there. I miss that house, and my dog really misses the park

leo sokolskiy: Great place to stay in Washington. Walking distance to the National Mall monuments and museums. Very comfortable and quiet location, parking spot is a great plus if you are driving in. Kitchen has all the utensils as well as washer and dryer. Brian and Luis are very accommodating and responsive.
Response: Thank you Leo. It was a pleasure having you. Please look us up again when you need furnished housing in DC

Heaven on Washington Fully Furnished Apartments: what do users think?

Linda Steinke: Having lived in Penn Quarter and recently moved I was back for a visit and wanted to stay in the area. I found Pelican Residences in the Lansburgh the perfect location. This 2 BR 2 BA apartment was fully furnished. The corner unit I had had great view down 7th and E streets. Within walking distance to my favorite restaurants, Gregory’s coffee as well as the Smithsonian museums, the National Mall and the Capitol and White House. The apartment was clean and the Pelican staff are extremely responsive down to replacing light bulbs. Would I stay again? YES!!!!
Response: Thanks Linda, It was a pleasure to host you. We look forward to hosting you again in one of our 10 cites. Pelican Residences

Tony Staman: Perfect location for this high quality apartment, right next to Metro Archives station so getting in from Reagan airport was very easy. Location puts you within a short distance of most of the major museums, if you did not want to walk they have a DC Bike Share dock right next to the apartment. Gym was very nice, pool was slightly above average, residents were very friendly. Front desk staff was also very friendly and was very helpful with the few questions we had. The bathrooms in our room were very clean and had beautiful glass door showers. I would definitely recommend this apartment to others looking for a nice quality hotel in a great location. Only thing bad I can say was that the beds in both rooms sat very low to the ground which was weird and carpet appeared a little dirty in some areas but neither of these comments would stop me from recommending this apartment.

Mary Ann Madejas: I had a very pleasant stay overall. The place was very quiet, clean, and had plenty of pots and pans and extra linens. I also appreciate the timely reply and the responsiveness of the host. I wanted to expand my stay by one night after i had checked in, and the host was able to accommodate very quickly.

Tyler Nixon: I stayed in this location in a one-bedroom apartment for almost 3 weeks on an extended business trip to the District. In addition to an excellent location, convenient to just about anywhere in the District and close to all of the federal facilities, monuments and museums, the room was absolutely first-rate. The kitchen and all amenities were up to date and fully-appointed, with everything one would need as though at home. The apartment was also spacious but quite cozy too. The bed was extremely comfortable and they also provided additional linens, as well as a set of towels and washcloths. The TV had both cable and internet streaming applications (Netflix - you could use your own account). The washer and dryer system was excellent and like new. The closet space was also remarkable. The free coffee and hot drinks machines at both entrances was a really nice amenity, especially on chilly days. The entrance security, with key fobs that activate the doors and are required to use the elevators, as well as the manned receptions desks at the entrances (except maybe a few hours in the late night) were reassuring for the security of the facility but also did not inhibit access with ease for anyone staying there. The elevators were numerous and though there were some issues on the first day I was there, the rest of the time they functioned without a hitch, and were numerous and speedy enough that I never had to wait for more than a few seconds to catch an elevator either up to or down from any of the upper floors. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for accommodations for a longer stay in DC and wanting all of the amenities of home.

jocelyn Luterte: Great place to stay in DC. Cleanliness and layout are great. Everything was very smooth and easy to deal with! Would definitely recommend! The heated pool is a bonus!

Shai Ruyod: "a great place to call "home". I could see myself actually living in a community such as this. Plus there is an indoor heated pool that is well kept up daily. Pet friendly too. It has exactly what I want and that is whatever I need, in walking distance. Highly recommended!!

Jerry Zhao: This place is wonderful! It's within walking distance to most of the tourist attractions like the white house, capitol, memorials and Smithsonian museums. Tons of great restaurants within a couple of blocks. The trouble is to choose which one to check out. Staff is incredibly courteous and helpful. The building also has a state of art gym, indoor swimming pool and sauna, though we didn't have the time to take advantage of those.

Hein hwyan: I had a horrible stay at one of their apartments. The blinds were broken in one of the bedrooms and I put in a request to get it fixed. The management kept tellling they will get it done but they never got around to doing it. Also, one of the toilet was broken and spilling out water. I had to nag them several times and they eventually sent someone over to fix it. They should increase their quality control and customer service. Do yourself a favor and not live at any of their apartments. Terrible experience.

Chinedu Nwaghanata: Location was great, in the middle of downtown DC, nearby many landmarks. Apartment was in the 11th floor with great lighting and view. The apartment had a kitchen fully stocked with cooking supplies and the bedroom and living room had tvs with Netflix and cable. Whole apartment was immmaculate. Parking was 16 dollars a day.

Chris Peace: Walking Distance to everything!! Restaurants, Malls or Grocery Stores. The apartment was also wonderful it is indeed Heaven on Washington during our stay.

Union Row Flats: what do users think?

Matt Farrell: I currently live at Union Row. The rooms are nice and modern but the building staff and services are terrible. We've had the hot water shutoff in our building multiple times this year. Most recently the hot water was shut off for a week last in early February. The building managers told us to try and take showers at the office or at local gyms. Not all of our fire alarms work on my floor and when I tried to contact the management about this they were extremely rude and told me we would have to wait until the next fire alarm test. The front desk staff acts the DMV most of the time. Overall not a great experience

Chris Babcock: Fantastic location, high quality building (very little noise from street and neighbors), great service by the front desk and management, and beautiful units. Very pleased to have moved here. Walkability and convenience really cannot be beat.

Michael Holmes: The Flats at Union Row are very nice condominium group. The light industrial decor is very appealing. It's located at 2125 14th Street NW.

James Arrington: CVS & YES MARKET ARE HERE. VISIT BOTH ALOT FOR VARIOUS ITEMS

Trellis House: what do users think?

Cynthia Gross: Trellis house really is a beautiful building and in a great area in terms of transportation convenience. The leasing team is great (Banessa was super helpful throughout the application process), as well as a few concierge staff. I really only have 2 complaints. The structure of this building seems to have been poorly made. The walls are so thin, you can hear word for word conversations from neighbors. There are “quiet hours” in place but some tenants either don’t respect this policy or don’t realize how loud they are. There’s also daily smell of smoke in the hallway even though this is a non smoking building but this is not as big of a concern for me. The leasing team has been responsive and helpful in terms of dealing with my complaints (particularly Claudia has been extremely nice and accommodating) but the issues persist. If you are sensitive to sound, I would not recommend this building. Otherwise moving in was super easy with full access to the dock, the amenities are great, building is clean, location is great, apartment appliances are good, maintenance turnaround is quick, and receiving delivery/packages is super convenient with 24 hour concierge.
Response: We regret that we have achieved anything short of 5-stars, Cynthia. Should you wish to discuss your experience further, please do not hesitate to reach back out to our Resident Services Office team at (202) 769-3000

Omoyeni Oyekola: Beware, trellis house is ridiculously expensive and will charge you for anything. I and my roommate moved out of our old apartment and we thought we were done paying all the charges. Until, we got an email saying we had to pay $250 for the stovetop. There were no dents, nor scratches. Just normal wear and tear, that I am pretty sure could be removed with soap & iron sponge. The only reason I didn’t clean it myself was because we paid for $175 for the deep cleaning option offered by Trellis. After paying, I remember the leasing agent saying, “you don’t have to clean anything, just move out and we will take care of the cleaning.” It is frustrating that we pay so much for rent, yet we have to be extra cautious while cooking. Like, we only cooked about twice or thrice a month!
Response: Hello Omoyeni Oyekola, I’m sorry to hear about your disappointment with us, and I would like to personally assist you with making things right. Let’s get on a call and address this ASAP, we value your business. Please contact us at (202) 769-3000 when convenient.

LaShawn Thompson: This place is awesome! The staff are so helpful and accommodating. Ms. Tynelle always goes above and beyond to assist me with my requests. I LOVE everything about the Trellis House. It's a safe and secure environment!
Response: Hello LaShawn, We thank you for taking the time to write us a review. Our team is very happy that you are pleased with our staff as we always strive to be as friendly and professional as possible. If you ever have a problem or need some form of assistance, please contact our office. Our staff will be eager to assist you! Have a great day! Trellis

Yeni Oyekola: When I first moved in, I sent a couple of videos of the apartment to my parents and I remember my dad saying “you live in an hotel” Trellis is a beautiful apartment with lots of amenities. My favorite amenities are the sky terrace (the view from the 6th floor is so amazing) and the productivity hub (I actually get a lot of work done there). The environment gives you a sense of ambiance and comfort. There’s even a private dining area and a yoga room. When I moved in, I only had one problem, my upstairs neighbor was a bit heavy footed. I should have complained from the beginning but I was worried about being a nuisance. But the noise became so unbearable that I had to make a complaint to management. The first person I spoke to wasn’t of much help. But I got an email from the property manager the very next business day. We interacted and scheduled a phone call. When we got on the call, he really listened, he didn’t overlook any of my issues. Not only did he promise to call my upstairs neighbor to see if they could quiet down, add rugs or carpet; he also said they would get me a white noise canceling machine. That was above and beyond for me, that call really made me feel valued and cared for. Ever since that call, I almost never hear my upstairs neighbor anymore and I also received the white noise canceling machine. Trellis is a beautiful apartment with a manager that really cares.
Response: Hello Yeni, Thank you for the wonderful review and for taking the time to share your feedback. Our priority is customer service and we are truly happy that we were able to make you feel at home! If you need anything, please don't hesitate to reach out! Best Regards, The Trellis House Team

Alexis Barry: The concierge has been super helpful! Ms. Jacklyn Jackson has gone above and beyond to make sure that residents are having a positive experience at Trellis. Thank you!
Response: Hi Alexis, Thank you for this awesome 5-star review! We're delighted to hear that Ms. Jacklyn Jackson has made a positive impression on your experience. We will be sure to applaud her for her hard work. We're so happy to have you, please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you ever need anything! Trellis

Juan Manuel Duboy: I've lived at Trellis House for the past year and have had a wonderful experience. The building, the staff, and the overall community have been amazing, particularly during the pandemic. After my lease was coming to a close, I decided to move to a new unit on a different floor and the process was incredibly smooth - thanks to Claudia the property manager who guided me through it. I am looking forward to the next year here at Trellis house and want to give a big shout out to the team and staff for making my time here so special.
Response: Hi Juan, On behalf of myself and the team, we are so happy that you are enjoying your residency with us! It’s our pleasure in providing a good community experience and we look forward to continuously delivering on our service here at Trellis House! Best Regards, The Trellis House Team

Heather Gillies: I lived in a studio apartment in Trellis House for two years, and unfortunately had to move out for personal reasons - I wish I could have stayed! The building is beautiful and the amenities are top notch. The building management changed in the middle of the pandemic and I was concerned that the standard of service would drop (as it does sometimes when apartments change management), but I'm happy to report that it didn't. The new staff have also taken care of my every need, from urgent maintenance requests, to moving packages for me, and even sending me birthday wishes. A special shout out to Tiana and her warm demeanor at the front desk, and Claudia in the leasing office who helped make my move-out seamless and answered all of my questions.
Response: Hi Heather, Thank you very much for such a great review! We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay here with us! We are glad that Tiana and Claudia were able to be so helpful while you were here! Best Regards, The Trellis House Team

Laura Palazio: We have been at Trellis House for a year and a half it's a great building. Over the summer, we wanted to upgrade to a larger unit and Claudia and Wayne in the leasing office were incredibly helpful and responsive. All staff in the building, from concierge to housekeeping, are very friendly. The building is very well maintained and always spotless. Maintenance requests are answered promptly. You also can't beat the location of this building as well as the beautiful amenities (which are now open again!).
Response: Hi Laura, On behalf of myself and the team, we are so happy that you are enjoying your residency with us! It’s our pleasure to serve our residents and we are thrilled to know that Claudia, Wayne and the rest of the crew were so helpful and have made being at Trellis House a great experience for you!

Robin Doody: This is a great building. It's in the heart of the city with delightful amenities, but more than that, the staff is so nice to work with. Claudia and her team have helped us with leases each time, and the process is cordial, friendly and the least stressful it can be. Certainly had much worse experiences at other buildings. Recommend fully for the great staff that work at the building!
Response: Hi Robin, Thank you very much for such a great review! We work very hard to make sure that we are offering the best experience. So happy to hear that our service met up to your expectations! Best Regards, The Trellis House Team

Linda Armistead: I have yet to move my daughter in and already I am confident in giving Wayne Toombs a perfect score. Trellis House has a gold gem working for them. He has graciously walked my daughter and me through the entire process making it, not only stress free, enjoy. He has a wealth of knowledge and shares it with thoughtfulness, professionalism and kindness. He is undeniably the BEST at what he does. Having him guide us has truly put this overprotective mom’s mind at ease. God bless him and his loved ones!
Response: Hello Linda, Thank you for the wonderful review and for taking the time to share your feedback about Wayne. Our priority is customer service and we are ecstatic that we met that mark! Kind people like you make our job a pleasure.

Varsity on K: what do users think?

Audrey Yang: Ceiling leaks and drips. Ceiling literally fell down one time. Homeless people sleeping in the lobby often. Hot water was gone for over a week (thanksgiving time). Internet outages all the time. Packages are always missing/stolen. Handicap equipment broken most of the time. Elevator is out all the time. Incredibly high fees and utilities. If you care about quality of life, don’t live here.
Response: Audrey, this is worrying to hear and certainly doesn't sound like the comfortable, safe, and pleasant living environment we strive to maintain for our residents. We will share this feedback with the appropriate staff to ensure we're doing everything we can to that end, but we also encourage you to call us at 2028640420 so we can address your concerns directly. We'd like to provide whatever assistance we can. Thank you.

Ethan Benn: Bria, the leasing manager, gave me a great tour of the Varsity on K! The building looked great and modern, as did the rooms and the amenities (a study space, gym and event space). She did a great job of answering my questions and reaching out afterward.
Response: Ethan, we're thrilled that Bria was such an asset throughout your tour! Thank you for the kind words and for taking the time to share your feedback - we hope to see you back at Varsity on K again soon! Be well.

Katie Thompson: (My friends live in this building, I do not). Varsity on K is such a disgusting apartment complex. Management is terrible (even compared to other questionable apartment complexes in the area). On several occasions, I have seen homeless people sleeping in the hallways. I have also seen blood and feces in the elevator on several occasions. It also takes forever to get maintenance requests completed. This building feels unsafe and I feel bad for people stuck in a lease here.
Response: Katie, this is worrying to read and not the living experience we pride ourselves on. Please get in touch so I can gather some more information and ensure these claims are properly addressed. Thank you, Tyler Bruce - Property Manager - (202) 864-0420

Lauren Doyle: Every time I walk into this building I feel unsafe. On FOUR occasions I have tried to visit, I've encountered homeless people lounging in the hallway. I'm convinced that management only has notifications on when they get bad reviews on their website, they pay zero attention to people who live here who actually have apartment problems; my friends who live here have been trying to get in touch with the leasing office who have literally hung up on their calls.
Response: Lauren, we are dedicated to the comfort and satisfaction of our community and I want to ensure that your friends have their concerns heard and properly addressed. Since I am unable to find their contact information from this review, please have them give me a call directly. Best, Tyler Bruce - Property Manager - (202) 864-0420

Guangfu Su: Bria was very professional and Tyler was very friendly, both of them in the leasing office made my living here better. However, the maintenance guy here was really unpleasant, he was the only one maintenance person, this guy was neither friendly nor professional. First, he had zero will to make friends with you, always acted, talked and walked like he is so proud of him with no reasons, never looked at you when you were in the same elevator or met in hallway even if he was actually very familiar with you, it was so weird. If he was very professional or serious in doing his job, then it was fine for him to ignore resident in life and being arrogant, however, the thing is that he was actually not serious in working, each time you made a request for maintenance, he would complain even more than you and made excuses by pushing all responsibilities for the problems to resident. Also, each time he saw you doing something, he would come to correct you, but all he said were nonsense which I verified afterwards, which means this guy never wanted to actually correct or help you out but just talking nonsense to make him feel good. I felt this guy was often hanging around everywhere inside of apartment for no reasons, not working but just wasting time. I suggest Varsity better fire this maintenance guy, without him Varsity would be a great place to live.
Response: Guangfu - thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry not all our team members have left the same great impression on you, and I'll certainly address this review internally to ensure we're providing outstanding resident care. If you'd like to discuss this, I also invite you to get in touch with me directly - my email is bria.giboney@bhomstudentliving.com. All the best, Bria Giboney - General Manager

Isabella Webster: I have never lived somewhere where it was so evident that the property management neither cared for residents nor practiced basic communication with the on site team. The individuals who work in the office and for on site maintenance are wonderful; however, they clearly have no support to actually do their jobs effectively. The internet is out so frequently that I’ve had to upgrade my cell phone plan to include unlimited hot spotting. I’ve regularly had to call out of work or reschedule exams due to internet outages. The tiles in the hallway above my apartment have been leaking water for months. I’ve had maintenance requests queued for repair since my move in inspection six months ago that remain untouched. The heat does not consistently work even in the midst of snowstorms and it seems the only way to get attention for these issues it to write a Google Review (as can be seen by others posted for this property which detail the additional ongoing issues of package/mail theft- which I’ve also experienced for packages totaling well over $300 in only the past six months).
Response: Isabella, I am sorry to read this feedback. We strive to address the concerns of our residents promptly and effectively, and it is disappointing that this has not been better reflected in your experience. I apologize for the issues you have encountered with your wifi and your heat and would appreciate another chance to speak with you to see what more I can do to help. If you are willing to discuss this further, please give me a call at your earliest convenience. Thank you, Tyler Bruce - Property Manager - (202) 864-0420

Anna Hip: Our experience working at Varsity on K has been great!. Their team has always been very helpful, by working with them you can learn a lot. We are very thankful to everyone at Varsity for making our working experience unique.
Response: Anna, thank you for the review! We are so glad to hear that you have enjoyed your experience working with the Varsity on K community. We will be sure to pass on the kind words to the team. Have a great day!

Gabrielle Picard: The management here is absolutely abhorrent! This management does not answer any resident concerns. I have been in the elevators and seen what I can only imagine to be blood in the elevator. In addition to this there was a dumpster fire in the building and the alarm in my friends’ apartment didn’t go off. Only some alarms went off so I hadn’t evacuated until I smelled smoke and looked and saw people had evacuated.
Response: Gabrielle, Your frustration is understandable and I apologize for the issues you've raised here that have given you cause for concern. We take our resident's feedback very seriously, and I would like to step in and discuss these matters with you. Please consider giving me a call when you have a moment. Tyler Bruce - Property Manager - (202) 864-0420

Shaoyi Che: [Long Review Warning] [First part-Professional and friendly staff] It is usually not the amenities or the luxury finishes in an apartment building that make you feel like home. It is the people. I am a GW Law student and I have been a resident here for a year. They do not have a dedicated concierge here, so Claudia and Joy in the leasing office are responsible for all the works beside maintenance. They are the people that make me feel at home in this apartment, and I have never had similar experience before. They always go above and beyond and they really think in your shoes in a very professional and yet friendly manner. They have been extremely helpful. [Problems in the building] I want to address problems I personally encountered and problems I saw in the reviews in two parts. Yes, there are problems in this building but I am still giving it 5/5 because I believe the rating system should be based on comparisons with other buildings in the area. The rent is also an important part to consider. [1]Old Building related issue. The building itself is old and on rare occasions (once a year from my observation) the resident may encounter hard-ware related issues. This year, we had two common area issues. One-week of Hot water shortage and a one-time 3-4 hours elevator shutdown because of a minor flooding issue in the garage. For my unit, the HVAC unit was broken in my unit once and it was replaced after the staff spent effort on trying to fix it. Although we had problems, the management team in this building has always kept us informed and addressed the problem to the best of their capabilities. I was compensated for the hot water shortage. It was not a lot but that at least that shows how the team care about the feeling of residents. Whenever something broke in my apartment, 90% of the time the maintenance staff will come fix it within hours. I live on 11th floor, and two of my friends live on 7th and 5th floor. None of us have experienced rodent issues. [2]Complaints about delayed response from the office. I can't say enough good words about Claudia and Joy in the front office, but I was not surprised when I saw review complaining the office not responding to emails. They are extremely overworked. They do leasing, property management and concierge all by themselves and they simply are not able to reply emails in a timely manner. I would recommend anyone with urgent request to go directly to the office. [Conclusion-you get 100% what you pay for here, hence my 5star rating] All the problems come down to one thing-cheaper rent. I gave 5 star rating because I received what I paid for. A little over 2000 dollars for a nicely finished apartment with a balcony in foggy bottom? I can't ask for more. Although the building itself is old, it was recently renovated and the units are really new and nice. Before I decided to move in last year, I toured 8 different apartments in the foggy bottom area and I have never regret choosing to stay here. Yes, there are apartments with equally nice or nicer units, 24-hours concierge, dedicated property management office and a separate leasing office in a new building in the area. But then you are looking at 1bedrooms starting at 3000+ dollars a month. FYI I toured Westlight Apartment and their 1B is asking for 3700 dollars a month, almost double the price here. Is it really fair to complain old-building issues and lack of 24-hours concierge service in an affordable apartment? I don't think so, unless you are willing to pay 3700 dollars instead of 2100 dollars a month.
Response: Thank you for your in-depth review of our community, Shaoyi. Your detailed feedback will help prospective residents make an educated decision in choosing their next home, and we're pleased to know you are happy with your decision to live with us. We're glad to hear our team members, such as Claudia and Joy, have made you feel so at home. If there is anything we can do to keep up this level of excellence in the future, please let us know. Best, The Varsity on K Team

JJ LaBella: We moved our daughter into Varsity on K in May 2017. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this apartment complex, and the staff. The staff, including Wendy and Jasmine, are all wonderful, professional, friendly. The apartments are truly luxurious, not only for students, but for young professionals as well. The kitchens are beautiful, with lots of counter space, cupboard storage, and brand new GE appliances. You have your own washer & dryer within your apartment, making it easy to do your laundry while studying. The building, completely renovated, feels brand new. Everything in it is new, including the common rooms, hallways, apartments, exterior, etc. It is located in a very safe, well lit, residential neighborhood in Foggy Bottom, behind the GW Milken School of Public Health. Walk one block East, look towards your right, and the Lincoln Memorial is visible down the hill. Eight blocks away is the White House, so the security in this area is obviously very concentrated. Georgetown's M Street shopping district is about a 10-15 minute walk. Whole Foods and CVS are less than a 5 minute walk. The building itself is extremely secure and feels very safe. It is very quiet. I have never heard any noise through the walls, or in the hallways at all. The building is impeccably clean and perfectly maintained. The apartments feel quite spacious. The gym is very clean, large, inviting, and has state-of -the-art equipment. There is a large study room and private group study room, as an alternative to walking to/from the library in the cold winter. There is a huge entertainment room with luxurious amenities to entertain your friends. Outside, there is a gorgeous, clean, relaxing area including many tables, chairs, and a fire pit. I have never heard any noise from this. The mail area is clean and offers a Luxor package service. There is a storage room, where you can rent a space to keep your extra things secure. There is a safe, secure garage underneath the building, should you need to park a car. Many of the apartments have private patios, or balconies, and it is nice for us to enjoy breakfast on the patio with our daughter when we come to visit. As parents, peace of mind when we live hours away, is priceless.
Response: Hey JJ! Thank you so much for your 5-star review! We hope you are having a great week! -Pinnacle Campus Living

Capitol View on 14th: what do users think?

Sophie Van Pelt: I have never written a review before but I am unsure of how to express my concerns since nobody from management has gotten back to me so I am hoping this works. I pay ridiculously high rent for this "luxury" apartment and I can't get my property management to return my calls, emails, or questions about the fridge in my apartment. I don't recommend this building to anyone. UDR, if you see this, please answer me?

Laurel Hagaman: Update - in the process of moving out, I left a couple bags of clothes and furniture in the loading dock to assist the movers, who arrived 2 hours later. When I came back, the clothing was gone. Management has done nothing but ignore my emails and now will not take responsibility for the hundreds of dollars lost. I know they did not “trash” them as everything else was left in the loading dock (including a mattress, nightstands, table). Overall 0/5 stars. An overpriced and ridiculously stringent babysitter - can’t have guests at the pool, can’t access amenities after 10pm, management is just trying to nickel and dime you. In speaking with other residents, many are equally unhappy, frustrated, and looking to move. But as others have noted, management does not care about the happiness of the community and therefore they will continue to see a steady decline in the rate of applicants/renewed leases. I highly recommend looking into other apartments in the area - have heard much better things about the sense of community and overall happiness of residents in neighboring apartment complexes. Update - parking is $265/month for a reserved spot, and residents have kept spare items (totes, chairs, etc.) in their spots for years. Management just said they will trash anything left in the spots. Additionally, to receive packages, you have to pay for a package service. Can’t wait to move out.
Response: Hi Laurel, I am disappointed and truly sorry you are not having a more positive experience with us. We appreciate your residency and feedback; I will relay it to our team so we can look into your concerns and work to improve. We would like the opportunity to make things right and encourage you to reach out to us through WeCare@udr.com so we can assist you. Kind regards, Rachel C.

Michelle D: The apartments do not look like the photos on the website. If you sign a lease without touring the specific unit in-person, you will likely get something very different than you expected. Leasing staff are very unresponsive and unwilling to help. *updating after living here 4 months I chose this building for a lot of reasons, but most ended up being incorrect based on what was on the website vs reality. Again, make sure you tour and ask these questions up front (my bad I guess). For one, there’s a front desk person 24/7, but if you forget your key, they won’t let you in. If you get food delivered, they won’t take it until you can walk down. They will only hold your packages for two days, so don’t go out of town when you have deliveries. My AC was broken and my apartment was 80 degrees, but because it was only 78 degrees outside, they could not prioritize my apartment and told me to open a window (my apartment doesn’t have windows that open). Took over a week to fix. My window was cracked and the rain was spilling into my apartment. They said they will try to get it fixed in the next few days (I don’t know about you, but I think a leaking apartment should be more of a priority). I wish there was a better outlet than google reviews to share these concerns, but the staff is unresponsive and does not care. Overall, I am overpaying and they are under-delivering. Save your money and find a more quality apartment.
Response: Hello Michelle, I apologize for the poor customer service. We have shred your concern with the team and we will use your feedback to improve. Kind regards, Quay Neach 720-348-7620 WeCare@udr.com

Jessica Barbour: If you are a resident here I feel bad for you. I deliver for Uber and they made it impossible for me to deliver somebody’s medicine. I tried to explain. The persons phone is broken and they said oh we take it back if she doesn’t come down. Disgusting.
Response: Hello Jessica, I apologize for your experience. Our team goes through the steps to get the delivery to the correct person. Additionally the delivery service should notify the recipient when a delivery has been made. Kind regards, Quay Neach 720-348-7620 WeCare@udr.com

Khery Moye: My neighbors and the staff here @ Capitol View are both amazing and make living here a dream come true. The location is perfect. After much anxiety over moving into the city, I’m glad I choose Capital View on 14th.
Response: We appreciate the 5 stars! Please let us know if there is anything we can help with. Thank you for your feedback. Best regards, Bree F. 720-348-7620 WeCare@udr.com

Nini Jin: I'm writing this review solely based on the wonder and attentive maintenance crew that work at Capital View on 14th. Every issue I've ever had in the building (appliances or electrical), they have addressed it in detail within 24 hours of me submitting a service request. Sam, Jason and Scott (their boss) run a tight ship and I feel so at ease knowing that no matter what happens, they will fix it (with a smile too). So five stars to them! 4 stars for the rest of the building staff and the building in general. 1 star for my neighbors that smoke in this non smoking building (stairways and balconies) and 2 stars for my neighbors that let their dogs pee right at the front door >_< All in all, still love living here after 2 years.

Emily Moreno: I never write reviews but I felt compelled to on this matter. Capitol View is over priced and far from the downtown bar/shopping/restaurant appeal that 14th Street attracts. The leasing agents are unprofessional and unwilling to work around long work schedules. I would NOT recommend living here to anyone. Enjoy living on 14th Street. I promise here you won’t enjoy it.

Samantha Caparas: Top-notch staff and amenities. There are so many great places to live in DC, but this is one of the best in my opinion. If you’re looking for an apartment in this area, be sure to check it out!

Miguel Pelaez: One of the worst apartment buildings in the district. The management is absolutely rude to the residents. Once you sign thee lease they don't care whether or not you are enjoy living in the building.

nica veronika: I really enjoying to live in Capitol View apartment ! Management are amazing❤️ , always people nice and friendly. Building perfect clean and new . 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

River Pointe Apartments: what do users think?

l s: Worst place ever. We can NEVER speak to anyone in the rental office. They never answer the phone. We have been here for 2 months and they have been in our apartment 5 to 10 times without our notice for a leak in another apartment. We couldn't use our second bathroom for about a month. Every time they came in the left a big mess for me to clean up. They left big wholes in the walls for about a month . They bring in third party contractors so if anything is stole the are not responsible. DO NOT MOVE HERE !!!! They are supposed to have trash pick up . Nobody comes to pick it up so they just leave it in the hallway for weeks. It smells and it brings flies into our apartment.

Siri Reddy: I would give a 0 if possible. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! We drove all the way from New York on the promised move in date with all our luggage and after we reached they told us that our apartment wouldn’t be ready for another week. They tried to force us into another apartment which was dirty and gross. Andrea from the leasing office and her manager were very rude towards us and despite all this, they didn’t even give us back our holding fee.

Beth: I lived in river Pointe Apartments prior to ZPM Management taking over. I don't remember the management before ZPM, if someone has that company please list it. I have been gone since 2018 and now ZPM has put in 2 judgements against me stating I did not pay a security deposit. I told them to check with the company they purchased the ownership from because I put my security deposit and first rent payment down. How would I have been able to live there four 1.6 years prior to them taking over. Now I have to dig and find paper work from 4 years ago from the raggedy management company before ZPM and ZPM. Very sad! If you can help don't move there. If you have to keep all of your records and make sure it is accurate.
Response: Hello Beth, I am sorry to hear that you are having this issue. Please feel free to email riverpointe@zpm-management.com to contact someone in the office who may be able to provide you with more information. Prior to ZPM taking over Gates Hudson was the management company. I hope this information assists you in resolving these matters.

Stepping Out: The building and neighbors are fine, however there is a leak in the building that has been here for a year which also is causing leak in my unit... this has not been addressed, so if you want an inattentive landlord who doesn’t respond, always away and never addressed issues then please move here .. oh and you pay valet trash, however the trash people pick and choose when they want to come pick up your trash. I will give 2 stars because no one bothers you, however it seems as if no one works in the rental office and they need to hire more maintenance man, to my knowledge it is only one person, that is ridiculous..
Response: Hello Resident, I am sorry to hear that you have been experiencing an ongoing leak. Please rest assured that all roof leak issues have been inspected and are in the process of being resolved. Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic the company and the office have been working as diligently as possible to address the many concerns that have arisen since the start of this paramount event. We will continue to work hard to provide service to the community and address maintenance issues as safely as possible during these unprecedented times. Please note that the office team is still under Covid-19 safety guidelines and work on a rotating schedule to keep staff and residents safe until further resolution has been provided by the CDC. If ever you have an emergency and cannot reach someone in the office, please do not hesitate to email randrews@zpm-management.com and someone will surely respond within 24 business hours. Thank you again for your comment. We value your opinion here at River Pointe Apartments.

Jana Haynes: DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! I’ve been here since March and can’t wait to move!!! I did my pre move in inspection and reported the laundry list of repairs to be done before I moved in... Of course when I moved in the repairs were not addressed. It takes them forever to complete any repairs!!! My A/C has been out for days on top of a leak in my bedroom ceiling that still hasn’t been looked at I reported it over a month ago!!!! My unit has mold growing on the baseboard from a leak that happened a month after I moved in that was never addressed properly!!! Even after calling corporate and speaking to management the same issues are not fixed!!! If you want a slumlord live here!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!
Response: Thank you for sharing your concern with us. Our residents and their opinions matter, as a result we work to respond to maintenance requests as quickly as possible. Occasionally, priority is shifted to maintenance emergencies and stabilizing unsafe situations that may arise within the community. If you experienced a delay, please know it is likely a result of priority and not neglect. Our aim is to provide a quality living experience, therefore we regret you feel this way. Be assured, your concern is important to us and the matter will be addressed. A member of our management team will touch base with you to assist in resolving the matter. Thank you again for your feedback!

Ashley Fowler: Do not move here. This place is just horrible and the management team sucks and is incompetent. They do not know how to do their jobs. I have lived here for close to a year and it has been nothing but hell. They moved me and my family in a broken down apartment. The stove and microwave wasn’t working, several closet doors broke one fell on me and i has pregnant at the time. The bathroom is the worst thing of all. It looks like no one painted it in years. Maintenance takes their time fixing stuff. Something in my apartment breaks every week and they fix it it and it breaks again. The water is off every other week without notification. The apartments are super super small. The apartment we was shown looks nothing like the apartment we moved into. We were told we was going to get updated appliances and that was a lie. They don’t do a walk through with you so I have documented everything that was broken when we moved in. My front door is so wobbly it shakes every time someone slams their door. I have complained about that too they just say that i can add my own lock but its funny how everyone in my building has the same two locks and i only have that one raggedy lock. I don’t write bad reviews but for the price of these apartments it really suck that they do not take their job seriously. The only thing about the apartment is the location but if that’s what you are looking for then there are other apartments on Indian Head hwy. Ms Johnson needs to be retrained or let go. I hope they improve the management team or get them retrained. If they really take the time to read their reviews they ALL say the same thing so it’s not the residents it’s THEM.
Response: I am so sorry to hear about this. I am hoping your living experience has improved. River Pointe is managed and owned by new management ZPM Management as of 6/1/18. Thank you for sharing your concern with the management at River Pointe Apartments. Please contact our office and we will be happy to assist you.

Darryl Love: Since the new staff has come on-board things have been changing for the better. They are courteous, professional and listen to the needs of the residence. When needing maintenance work done they are prompt and the management staff keep me informed on my work-order I put in. I appreciate the cheerful smiles when I go into the office, it shows that they care about me as resident. They are trying to make a change for the better and make the residence feel welcome and more inviting.

Richard Robinson: I got a newly renovated apartment and it’s cool. Nobody bothers my car, my building is quiet and it’s clean. The office staff takes care of any issues I have and it seems like it’s on the come-up. Yeah, I like it! People don’t get their way and post stuff but really, it’s a pretty decent neighborhood. I’m good.
Response: Thanks for your feedback, Richard! It is great to hear you have settled in and feel comfortable. We work really hard to respond and make sure residents needs are effectively addressed. Thanks again for your feedback!

Monet Gooch: I have very mixed reviews about this place. I have been living here since September of 2017. When we first moved in we had the "newly renovated apartment" (only one in the complex btw). There were nails all in the carpet, you can see where they attempted to repair the cracks and holes in the walls. PARKING IS HORRIBLE! When we first got here we were able to park on the service road. A few months in, I came out to my car for work and found a new no parking sign and a $150 ticket on my car that the leasing office said was my problem. My cousin (who lives in the complex) was constantly getting her car towed because the paid reserved parking spots were horribly painted and other tenants had her car towed on top of the tow truck doing rounds (she had an approved parking sticker in the window). We then had to park in the poorly lit neighborhood and walk over wo the apartment complex via service road. After the 4th shift in management we were finally able to get something a little better. Speaking of shift in management, every time someone new came in, there was a new policy and procedure which was never enforced. Paying online was extremely difficult and a $50+ processing fee so we decided to write personal checks. That was going fantastic until our personal checks were lost twice via office staff...not once......but twice. Oh and did I forget to mention they weren't processed until the 18th of the month and told us they were no longer giving out receipts? We now pay with cashier's checks so that the money is out of our accounts and they don't throw us into the negative as they have done multiple times. During this process the dishwasher was never mounted to the counter and fell on the at the time 6 year old. When we renewed our lease, we thought all was well until the new staff came in and we got a notice on the door asking for a signed lease and other documents that were submitted months prior to. We were trying to figure out why we had a $300+ credit on our account and was told by the previous leasing staff that we were over paying and to save it for a month that we were struggling. We had them to pull the file only to learn we were paying the new rate and being charged the old rate. After being told the new rate would be in effect the following month, we received another notice on the door that said we now owe $100. How does one go from have a $300+ credit to owing $100?? Let me tell you. The new manager went back into the system and charged us the remaining balance for all of the months that we were being charged the old rent amount. After calling she stated that we agreed to pay the new amount (which we paid) so she was bringing the account current. Needless to say we got got! The current issue is the mice! Yes I said Mice as in more than one. The first one came running across my master bed floor the end of November. I called maintenance and he came and looked around and said "it was probably passing through, I don't see any holes." The next day, the mouse ran out again and my cousin caught it using sticky traps. Problem solved right? WRONG! About 3 weeks ago, my cousin said she saw a mouse go in our stove. Didn't think anything of it since maintenance said there were no holes but I was very skeptical. We called the leasing office and had pest come and set traps. Nothing. WELL! Last night the mouse came running across the livingroom floor. As I watch from WhatsApp, my family tried catch the daggon thing as it ran through our American Ninja Warrior obstacle course for mice to include going over the traps. Needless to say, it is yet again GONE! I called the leasing office for them to tell me there was nothing they could do, they don't catch mice, I had to wait till Friday for someone to come back out. Something in my soul just said check near the sinks for holes. I'm too scared so I asked the other maintenance guy to check. YAHTZEE!!! HUGE FREAKIN HOLE!!! I check the bathrooms... MORE CRACKS FOR MICE! We shall see how long it will take for someone to come and fix it. I honestly stayed because it was affordable at the time.
Response: Thank you for your feedback! We regret you are not having a good experience. We worked diligently to overcome the negative experiences of prior management and have implemented more efficient payment processes to better serve our residents. Through much account clean-up and streamlining of processes, accounts are accurate and up to date. We apologize if you were negatively affected by our progress in the interim. This was not our intention. We also realize what an inconvenience it was to our residents when the County eliminated parking on the service road in front of our community. It created an unanticipated parking challenge, nevertheless, we are rolling out a policy that will remedy any remaining parking woes. Our records indicate a treatment plan for your home is already underway. We know the results are not immediate but with patience and diligence the matter will be resolved. We look forward to assisting you in any way we can. Please contact the office to speak with the manager directly if there are additional issues or concerns. The phone number is 301.839.4690.

Lady Luna: If I could give this place no stars I would. Where do I count the horrors of living here. 1. Kids, Kids, and KIDS! For the love of God! These kids are always outside in front of my building and others. Tossing the football, playing tag and the loud screaming is highly unnecessary, when you are coming home from work. No one wants to hear them or watch them play around doors and windows. They also allow themselves to play inside the building at times, in the hallways. Other kids are letting them inside these buildings to play in the hallways. There have been incidents where they broken my window. There is a large area near the doggy park for them to play or the playground hidden behind the building away from the community. Can you please get the parents to redirect their kids to ONLY play in that area? What is the point of having cameras around if you are not going do anything?? 2. Smoking. Okay, smoking outside is fine, but inside your apartment where you can set the building on fire if misplaced? No! I live over people who smoke an exceedingly amount of weed in their home and it comes up through my vents, making it impossible to stay in my room with my kids. They end up coughing over this matter. These people don’t realize that they are not the only people living in this building. This is NOT your house, there are other people here who suffers from health problems. 3. Maintenance. Oh my god, maintenance is terrible. They enter your house and leave a mess after they finish their requested work, and half the time, they don’t follow through the with incomplete work. The do a quick fix, say they will order this and that, leaves and never returns, they never make a note on it or bring it to the rental office for them to decide who should return for a follow up, instead we keep getting these mandatory unit inspections consistently because of something they saw or something happen. 4. Trash. I went to the main office to have the trash remove from my lense but they say, it is impossible. Not everyone waits to have their trash taking out, and we should have a right to choose whether we need it or not. Please stop enforcing endless amount of money into your hands over unnecessary things. No one has that type of money. It is bad enough the trash bin outside gets over flow and it doesn’t get taking care of until later. I have been living here for a long time and I did enjoy it a couple of years but this place got so bad over the years, but they do want the rent money on time. What is the point of paying all this money only to be disrespected by the community and management? I hope they would improve on these and make the community more comfortable for people to come home too, not excessive work. I really did like being here in the past, but times have change for the worse. Those are the main three, that needs to be brought to attention immediately. DO NOT MOVE HERE!

Allegro: what do users think?

lauren Caspen: I've had the pleasure of staying with my sister at Allegro while on travel . The building is always clean and well maintained. The staff is nice and accommodating. Everyone was willing to answer all my questions and assist me with my move. The units themselves are clean and well maintained. We recently had a flood and I could tell management and maintenance were trying their best to control the situation. This location is ideal, next to the metro and lots of restaurants and stores, I love it here!
Response: Lauren, Thank you so much for your positive review! We strive for excellence and our goal is to make our residents feel at home. We are forever grateful for residents like you! Best, Allegro Management Team

lindsay laviero: All of the reviews about rodents in the building is true. You know how sometimes you read reviews of apartment buildings and it looks nice and the price is "right" so you look past some of the poor comments? There are rodents, bugs, and this building is literally a nightmare. I have lived here for over 3 years. I have continuously been disappointed by not only the building overall, the way management handles things... and to make it even better we have currently as of 05/10/22 been WITHOUT WATER for over 30 hours. The building thinks treating us like college children and giving us a few dominos pizzas and waters will be good enough. My dog was also BITTEN in this building by another dog and they did absolutely nothing to help us. There are NOT cameras in the hallways. The staff in the downstairs office has the highest turnover of any building or place of work I've ever seen in my life. The management does NOT take their job seriously. Literally RUN. the building says "luxury" it is NOT TRUE. EDIT: I have come to edit this post to state that we have now not had water for MORE than 48 hours and counting. I want to credit our front desk staff first and foremost, LEAH AND SAM are absolutely incredible, kind, hard-working, and deserve true recognition of their grace handling this MESS.
Response: Dear Lindsay, What began as a relatively simple repair to the building’s water lines, quickly escalated to a major overhaul. Once we realized this wouldn’t be a fast repair, we brought in help from our sister sites and corporate office to supplement the community with water, food, and additional maintenance and office support. We worked to communicate to those on site with our presence throughout the building, email blasts, and connection with many DC representatives including DCRA, DC Water, the Mayoral Office, and our ANC representative throughout the outage. In addition to the food and water that were made available throughout the 4 day outage, we coordinated a daily rent concession and offered hotel stipends. We understand your frustration and hope that, with the resolution and actions taken by our management team, you saw the care and concern we have for each of our residents. As of May 12,2022 water service was fully restored to the community and we have not experienced further issues. We value your choice to live here and we cannot express how truly sorry we are for this disruption and its impact on your living experience at our community. Best, Allegro Management Team

Ms. Melanie Lund: This review is specifically for the maintenance staff at Allegro, these guys are AMAZING & don't often get the recognition they deserve for all their hard work, since so much of it takes place behind the scenes. The Allegro has been dealing with pipe damage resulting in a nearly 48-hr water shutoff, & though tenants are growing restless & frustrated with how the property is handling the matter for tenants, the maintenance team is truly grinding trying to get the water back on ASAP! In the midst of dealing with this situation, they came right up to help me with a faulty thermostat that was causing temp to soar (89°F) in my unit, & stayed until they solved the issue & were sure it was fixed. They are always so friendly and thorough, even my dog enjoyed having them stop by to help! It is really wonderful knowing you can rely on these guys to help when you need it, sure makes living in an apartment complex worthwhile! Thank you for all you do.
Response: We always strive to provide top quality service to every resident and guest and we are so thrilled to hear that you have enjoyed your experience here at Allegro! We are always more than happy to assist you if anything else comes up. Take care! Best, Allegro Management Team

Michael Thompson: There has been no water in the building for 36 hours. What started as a planned maintenance has turned into chaos. My main issued is that communication from the management has been inconsistent and incomplete. Occasional deliveries to the front desk of a few cases of drinking water run out quickly. A few pizzas were put out last night, and donuts this morning. Can't drink those or flush toilets with them, and some of us can't even eat them. What's clear is that Bozzuto the management company left the Allegro staff without instructions or protocol, resulting in a patchwork, confused response. Kind of surreal.

Susana Gaviria: The building is very poorly managed and I have witnessed the rapid decline during the past year living here. There have been fob issues, a flood, and the elevators have been out of order more than once. Everything takes days to get fixed. The street noise can be extremely loud and unbearable from the inside of the apartments, and utilities are overpriced compared with other apartment buildings in the area. Upon submitting the notice not to renew our lease in a timely manner, management conveniently never received it and asked us to provide it more than once. However, nothing compares to what we have been living with for the past 2 days, we are getting close to 48 hours without water with no transparency from management about the repair process, they have provided individual water bottles and small quantities of food to “fix the issue” as if we didn’t need larger amounts of water to eat, cook, clean, shower and flush our toilets. The only good thing about Allegro is the concierge staff, specially Sam.
Response: Dear Susana, What began as a relatively simple repair to the building’s water lines, quickly escalated to a major overhaul. John Olzer: I have lived at Allegro for almost a year, and this has by far been the worst apartment complex I have ever dealt with. - After putting a deposit down it took weeks to get an actual lease to sign. - When I moved in, my AC did not work in the apartment. I was promised compensation by maintenance; however, this was later denied by management. - My dishwasher has broken 4 times before they finally decided to replace it. It often took over a week to have maintenance look at it each time it broke. - Currently, the spin cycle of my washing machine does not work. I literally have to WRING MY CLOTHES OUT in the shower before drying them. I have been denied a replacement washing machine. - There are constant elevator issues. It is common for all 3 elevators in the building to be out of service at the same time. - There are constant key fob issues where all fobs in the building are taken offline. - There are constant issues with the gate to the parking garage. When this happens, nobody can get in or out. - There is a major rodent problem on the terrace level of the building. I have seen more than one RAT IN THE HALLWAYS. My absolute favorite feature of this building was the past 4 days when the entire building had no running water - an issue that was completely mishandled by management. It took 3 days before hotel accommodations were made. In the days before that, the best they could offer was Dominoes and Krispy Kreme (???) I have raised many of my concerns above with management and have literally been ignored. I have sent emails that to this day remain unanswered by management. Do yourself a favor and RUN.
Response: Dear John, What began as a relatively simple repair to the building’s water lines, quickly escalated to a major overhaul. Carolien Vuye: We've been living here for 8 months now, and in that time I have seen the place deteriorate. At the time of our move in, Allegro had a 4.1 rating, now it has 3.6. I don't know what has happened or changed. A lot of the other reviews sound very familiar. Leah, Sam and Sarah are really amazing and go above and beyond, but that's where the good news ends. A lot of appliances are old and defective, moldy or not working. Maintenance that comes over 5 times or more for the same request because issues either don't get fixed or they put them on resolved without even stopping by. The AC, washer and dryer have already been replaced, but the fridge and dishwasher are also giving us troubles and a solution still seems far off. Update on 06/18: yesterday our oven and stove died down. I've been trying to reach "emergency maintance" for 2 hours now and still have not been able to reach them. So I guess we will be at least spending the long weekend without being able to cook. Another fine example... The fire alarm is way too sensitive and loud for the purpose it is intended to, and goes off every time you open the oven or put the oven on self clean. After the 4-day water outage, there have been fire alarm tests where the alarm would blare through the building for minutes on end. A front row at a concert would have been less noisy. Today is Sunday, and 10 minutes ago, the fire alarm in the whole building went off again for a few seconds. Why??? Also, when we came back today, the fire doors were all closed, blocking the hallway. Very difficult to get passed them when you are driving a stroller. The fountain in the courtyard goes on and off at the most random times. The other day, the water started running at 2.30am (!). Then there have been afternoons where it was completely off and nights where it was running the whole time. I just don't get it. It used to be regulated to be on until 11pm or so and then start again around 9am. And lastly there's the noise. The sound in the courtyard carries very far and the isolation is not the greatest. There have been many instances where after 10pm (easily after 1am even) there still was loud laughing, shouting and singing from neighbors having parties. It feels like no-one cares or does anything about it, so it is just getting worse. Although the lease agreement explicitly states that we should be quiet between 10pm and 8am... When we had the fob and elevator issues, you could only use the stairs, so you would have to ask neighbors to help you carry the stroller up and down the stairs. There is no ramp, so with a stroller or as a disabled person, you would need to use the lobby elevator. This elevator is broken and downright dangerous. My stroller once got stuck between the closing elevator door. I had to use all my force to push the stroller through so my baby wouldn't get smashed. This is not a joke, Leah witnessed this. 2 months later, nothing has been done to make it safer (although Leah really tried to get things moving, and I escalated as well). 8 months ago I would have recommended this place to friends, now my recommendation is to stay away as far as possible. It's a shame...

Juthica Rego: UPDATE - Allegro took great care of their residents after a stressful week. I appreciate how they remediated the issue for their residents! So thank you, Allegro. _______________________________________________________________________ We have been without running water for over 30 hours now. I've never experienced this in any other apartment complex I've lived in, and I've lived in quite a few, including other Bozzuto properties. Communication has been few and far between. This isn't the first issue we've had after moving in not even a year ago. Our dishwasher remained broken for the first 2 months of us living here, the parking garage door continuously has issues going up and down, the fob for the main entrance needs to be repaired often, and there are rodents and wasps on the units that have a terrace. For the amount we pay to live in this "luxury" building, the quality should be so much better. Very disappointed with our experience living here.
Response: Dear Juthica, What began as a relatively simple repair to the building’s water lines, quickly escalated to a major overhaul. Cherie Bennett: The good: Leah and Sam, who work at the front desk, are phenomenal, and they are the main reason I'm giving at least a few stars. The bad: I'm guessing most people know by now that we went DAYS without water, which was a mess. I did appreciate that the building management tried to make it up to us, though, and I'm sure that the situation was stressful for them as well. My main complaint was that they were rather slow to respond when the issue initially arose. My apartment did not appear to have been fully cleaned upon move-in. The laundry closet had dust and detergent on the floor, and the inside of the drawers in the bathroom had hair and other grime, including a used q-tip, in them, which was pretty gross to find. While the maintenance team is friendly, I had many maintenance issues that went unaddressed. When I moved in, my washing machine had mold in it. I submitted maintenance requests for it and they said they couldn't do anything. It wasn't until I emailed management with photos of the mold, that they finally replaced it. My AC did not work for months before it was finally fully fixed. Additionally, my refrigerator made loud noises, and the freezer would leak water into the fridge. Maintenance looked at this probably 5 times because I continued to submit maintenance requests for it and would say they "fixed" it, but it was never actually fixed. I continued to submit maintenance requests, and they eventually started being ignored, so I dealt with this issue the entire time I lived there. I've recently moved out of the building, but do not actually know my official moveout date. My roommate and I have repeatedly called and emailed management for the past two months asking them to confirm our moveout date and finalize the moveout process. We never heard anything back from them. We even asked the front desk staff to ask management to reach out to us, and still no answer. I'm not sure why we couldn't get a simple answer on our moveout date and moveout process, but this has been increasingly frustrating.

Andrea Heckert: We haven’t had running water for 30 hours (and counting). We have not received sufficient water to drink, cook, and most importantly - flush our toilets! UPDATE: It has now been 49 hours without running water. I concur with all recent 1 star comments from my fellow Allegro tenants. Our last update from management arrived 4 hours ago, with new found problems, and no clear assurance of when water will flow. Management should have ordered port-a-potties for our use and 5+ gallon bottles of water delivered to each apartment unit at regular frequencies
Response: Dear Andrea, What began as a relatively simple repair to the building’s water lines, quickly escalated to a major overhaul. View 14: what do users think?

Uchenna Mbawuike: I should have listened to the reviews. So far my experience with setting up my housing at View 14 is atrocious! It is extremely stressful and the leasing agents are not helpful at all. I really would appreciate a phone call so that I can have my questions and concerns properly answered
Response: Hi Uchenna, We are so sorry to hear you had a difficult time with your application process at View 14. Please feel free to contact us at WeCare@udr.com so we can further assist you. Kind regards, Anita N.

Micha Weinblatt: The building is extremely well maintained - everything is in tip top shape. They recently renovated the party room which is a beautiful place to hang, they brought in peloton bikes, and more importantly the staff in the building is super nice and helpful.
Response: Hi Micha, Thank you for the great review and feedback on View 14! We're so glad you're having a positive experience and enjoying the updated amenities. We value your residency and hope you will reach out if there is ever anything we can do to assist you! Kind regards, Rachel C. WeCare@udr.com

Jaime Brown: I loved living here. I was in a studio and it was the perfect size. The location is amazing, I walked everywhere. I never heard any neighbors. If you are facing 14th street it could be noisy but that's expected when living in the city. This was a great building, I always knew where my packages were. The amenities are great. I only left to get roommates and cut cost.
Response: Thank you for the great review of our community! We appreciate your feedback. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to assist you in the future. Best regards, Bree F. 720-348-7620 WeCare@udr.com

Meghan Feeney: Lived here for almost 3 years and not surprised to see the low rating. The desk staff is great and we love our actual unit, which is what has kept us happy living here. The leasing office and UDR as a company has gone downhill in the last 3 years and doesn’t seem to care about you as a resident. We’ve raised an issue at least 5 times over the past year with no resolution which will most likely result in us moving. As much as we love our space, our neighbors that live here, and the staff that we interact with on a day to day basis, it’s unfortunate that the overarching company is unprofessional and unhelpful. There was a fire over a month ago on the roof and the space is still not fixed. Hopefully this poor management has been a result of a tough year and we will see improvement soon, as we really enjoyed our first 2 years living here.

Jeff Sauri: I have always preferred small buildings or one/two unit townhouses in the past, eschewing big new shiny apartment buildings. I didn't want to pay a premium for a bunch of amenities that I would likely never use. But finding myself needing to move earlier than I planned, I decided to take a look at View 14. All the staff are great and make you feel welcome. I find myself using all the amenities regularly. The fitness center has been great, as I start to get back in shape. I telework often, and having meeting space is great for bringing in clients. Having a party room is great for entertaining guests with kids (my apartment is most definitely NOT child-proofed). The rooftop decks are great for grilling. I'm debating throwing out my own printer since I print rarely, and can just use the business center. FedEx, UPS, and USPS all pick up. They have secure package delivery. I can send out my dry cleaning from here. Even things like free coffee every morning I find to be a very welcome useful perk. The maintenance staff are quick to respond to service requests. The concierge are super friendly and helpful. The apartment itself is spacious enough (I live alone), and well laid out. I cook often, so a good kitchen is key. The balcony is small, but enough space for two to sit for a cup of coffee. The location is great, with a Street Market across the street, and just a couple blocks from the Metro. It's easy walking to Dupont, Adams Morgan, Logan Circle, U Street. All in all, I am loving my new apartment. It's even comparably priced to what I was paying for my previous, tiny apartment.
Response: Thank you for the 5 star review! We appreciate your feedback. Let us know if there is anything we can do for you in the future. Best regards, Bree F. 720-348-7620 WeCare@udr.com

Galia Pastushak: We love the building, and the location is hard to beat. We own a car because we are spoiled with access to a secure parking garage but one truly doesn't need one in this neighborhood, super walkable, close to a ton of shopping, restaurants, cool bars, etc. The management has recently changed, and all of our interactions have been more than pleasant. They seem to really care about the residents, and the few issues that we've had have been fixed quickly.

Clarence Love: My roommate and I toured the community, and Corey was our leasing agent. He was very friendly and new exactly what we were looking for. There is a true community feel at the View 14. The location is perfect to night life and metro station. The views from the roof top terrace was stunning! After the tour ended Tatiana the Sales Manager asked how the tour went and carried on a friendly conversation. This UDR community is a must if you are in the market for an apartment in Shaw/Howard University

Kyle Coven: Photograph Everything - Move-out was an ordeal... Management charged me ~$130 for a plastic crisper drawer which I did not break. I know it was damaged after I left, but since it was not noted on the move-in report and they never completed a move-out report, they pinned the damage on me. I tried to argue with them, but they threatened me with calling a collections agency. I figured it wasn't worth the hit to my credit for such a small amount. Take pictures of everything, or better yet, find another building with honest staff.

Ruddy Wang: Pros Maintenance is great, walls and windows very sound proof. Great common space. Concierge. Cons Very deceptive pricing. Utilities for an average apartment is at least $200/month as all these additional fees (admin, trash, etc) are added. They will raise your rates each year more than 10%.

maria cecilia gonzalez duran: We are really satisfied with our decision to live here. The apartments are comfortable and modern. Excellent administration and location

Oakwood Suites & Studios Dupont Circle Washington DC: what do users think?

Fredric Mitchell: Nice place. Went to a small wedding, which was intimate. Stayed in a suite in the courtyard. It was relatively quiet. Bed and pillows were not very comfortable. Continental breakfast was fine. Nothing too expansive. Location is nice and a lot of shops and food places around. Just would have preferred a more comfortable sleeping situation.

David Jarnitskii: Great check in, the guy at the front was super nice and gave us reccomendations. Location is good too. The rooms are quite spacious and very comfortable. We only stayed for 1 night but it was very nice. We would come back. Thanks!

Mark Slaughter: My first visit was very good. Very friendly staff, nice breakfast & common areas. I stayed in tower suite 3rd floor overlooking P street. Room was fine. Just needs bedside lighting & charging ports. Management says that's coming soon. I'll be back!
Response: Thank you for the great review of our hotel! We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again very soon.

Marta Nogué: Great place. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. What you see in the pictures is what you'll get. Location is great too. I'd definetly come back. The only feedback I'd give is to improve the sheets. The ones they have are very synthetic and uncomfortable.

Sivan Weizmann: Good check in, and the guy at the tiny reception desk was nice. Location is great and there is plenty of coffee shops, restaurants and attractions in a walking distance. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. And the building is beautiful. However, one big issue is that this is a 3 floor building and the reception is often unattended which makes me uncomfortable since anyone can come in as they please. In addition, if you are hoping to get a good night sleep than forget about it because except for the noise you get from DuPont circle, it also felt like we were sleeping in a dorm building. There were loud yelling and laughter noises ALL night long that kept us awake, and clearly can be heard EVERYWHERE throughout only 3 floors with the acoustic of an old building and no staff to address it. It is a shame, but unless some new reviews can indicate that 24/7 staff has been instated and availability and presence has improved, this will not be a place I’ll be coming back to.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of.

Jenna Peterson: The 2nd floor common rooms - kitchen, living room with bar service in the evening, and another room are wonderful places to hang out with a group or alone. The staff were all wonderful. Hot showers with plentiful water and lots of storage in the room. wifi was fast - didn't measure it, but worked during video calls, etc.. They let us store our luggage after check-out. Fabulous location within easy walking distance to subway and anything else you might need. Sound containment ok - we could hear the next door dog barking. Rooms average: uncomfortable sheets, only 2 hard pillows. no extra blankets, poor lighting - no bedside lights, dim overhead lights with switches in odd locations. not fully stocked when we arrived - had to ask for dishwasher and regular kitchen soap. no full length mirror in the room - I guess they figure you can go into the elevator when dressing! Breakfast of oranges, apples, bagels and a mass produced pastry only available between 7:30-9:30. Breakfast coffee maker and water dispenser were broken 3 of the days we stayed. No one mentioned they have a bar open during the evenings which could explain why we were the only clients (big upside to have the gorgeous common spaces to ourselves to hang out with friends and play games.)

Gabriel Rodriguez: While the facilities are gorgeous, and the location was spectacular, the service is lackluster. The continental breakfast consisted of a few pastries and cereal with some yogurt in the fridge. The front desk is frequently unattended, which is concerning. Moreover, I was asked “when are you going to check out” an hour before checkout by an attendant or manager who decided to knock on my door. In the rush, I left my coat, and called to retrieve it. The front desk said “check back tomorrow” and “good luck, I hope it’s there” when I said that I was instead going to check this evening. The service does not match the façade nor interior decor.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. Justin Ng: I was looking forward to staying at this hotel as I've passed by a few times and its exterior looks amazing - unfortunately the service doesn't live up to this and ended up causing a lot of time going to waste. Overall, I would suggest looking elsewhere. PROS: - Location, location, location (which is where the first star came from) - The hotel's exterior looks really nice - The room is clean and tidy (which is where the other star came from) CONS: - When we arrived at 3pm, we ended at waiting 15 - 20 mins before our room can be cleaned, so were just sitting in the lobby, waiting... - The wait happened again when we checked out at 11am (i.e. the time when everyone is checking out). We wanted to leave our suitcases behind, but no one was at the front desk, for 15 minutes. There are a few other tourists looking for the same, so it just ended up resembling a bunch of travellers waiting for a delayed train which is kind of funny to be honest. - No hairdryer in the room. My partner took a shower at 2:30am in the morning and realized there is no hairdryer in the room - called the front desk and they just said "sorry i cant' help" (?!?!). Took a look at my booking confirmation again - it lists hairdryer as an amenity so I'm not sure why. But she ended up not being able to sleep until 3:30am as we had to wait for her hair to dry. - The frontdesk team can be a hit or miss. Some of them are fine but a few of them are, to be honest, pretty rude. - They offer complimentary breakfast (which I didn't have - because it was only 7:30am - 9:30am and I haven't woke up), but a few other tourists I met in the lobby told me when they arrived 9am there's nothing left because it was "first-come-first served". So either be there (early) or be square.

Noel Rubaker: Only good thing about staying here - clean hotel & room + new appliances & efficient housekeepers. Other than that, poor service from the receptionists. The only receptionist to depend on was Greg. Our first night, we checked in sometime around 6pm on a Thursday and was barely greeted by the woman receptionist for that shift. Unfortunately I did not get her name as 1) she did not introduce herself 2) no nametags (is this not a professional setting?). I was new to Washington and had some questions about the area to which she replied "I don't know. Use google." I tried to stay calm even though she was behaving ver dismissive and rude. I then asked her whether I could make any changes to the room from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor because I noticed the elevator for the disabled was not functioning. She shrugged and did not respond for several minutes. And then I mentioned again, I needed an elevator to get to the room. She simply answered "it is working." Apparently, there was another elevator but I had to ask 5 times until she finally explained where it was. Rude, lazy, & dismissive! The next day, we were unfortunate enough to be helped by another useless receptionist that again I failed to get the name. I am starting to assume they know they were bad at their jobs and does not want anyone to file a complaint against them. This time it was an older woman, working the weekend shift from morning until 3pm. I had asked for an extension for one more night because my travel plans got delayed. She took forever to sort the issue, and then decided to tell me that I can just come back and I won't have to pay for anything. I thought, this is odd. I have stayed at several hotels and usually, you are charged for an extension. AND they would ask for your hotel key cards to ensure you could go into your room. SHE DID NOTHING. later after her shift, I called again and got Greg. We were informed we had to pay extra BECAUSE we technically did not file an extension. I blamed the older woman and Greg apologized profusely on her part. THE NEXT DAY SHE HAD THE AUDACITY TO ASK ME WHY I LOOKED ANGRY. I had to pay $2++ instead of $140. I have nothing against older employees, but perhaps train them more or get them supervised! Same like the young woman I was unfortunate with to have met. will be choosing another hotel or airbnb next time when I come back. I have never had such issues from any Marriott hotels.

Aránzazu Ascunce: Cion greeted us warmly upon arrival and as we departed he informed us on the history of the home and ownership. We would love to stay here in the near future!

International Student House of Washington DC: what do users think?

Penny: This place was terrible and overpriced, I had to move out after a few weeks. The rent price included 2 meals per day, but the food was so bad. I often had to eat out; management was very very slow in addressing residents issues, and the Wi-Fi is only strong in some part of the building
Response: Thank you for having stayed with us and for sharing more details about your experience. We're sorry to hear about your experience with us. We appreciate the feedback and will look into how we may be able to improve some of the issues you raised.

Aman Kumar: Experience: double for a month in Van Slyck hall during the month of September Pros: Relatively affordable Food (breakfast and dinner) Proximity Kind staff and students Shared supplies Group events Democratic in terms of menu selection Cleanliness for bathrooms is pretty decent (shared) Quiet, limited noise issues Cons: Poor responsiveness from management Initially sneaky fees (application ($50 one-time), linen ($75, one-time), resident services ($85, one-time) Overcrowded shared fridges Quality of food is highly variable Wifi is close to absent in some rooms including the one I lived in Breakfast is later than ideal (0 food available at 6 AM) Mismatched furnishings in rooms Residents can be temperamental Several laundry machines do not work (cold setting, laundry comes out hot) Only one microwave for warming food Yes I understand it is dorm style living. Doesn't mean you should lower your expectations so steeply.

Varsha Thebo: Highly, highly recommend this place to all the international as well as domestic students and/or young professionals who find themselves in DC. You’ll feel right at home!

Alessandro Lumina: I've been living at ISH for a couple of months during an executive university Summer program on 2009, great place and great people!

Samuel Breslow: I stayed at ISH-DC starting in summer 2018 and had a wonderful overall experience. LOCATION (5/5): Dupont Circle is a fantastic neighborhood — it's safe and pleasant with tons of food options, a very central location, and easy transit access. The metro stop is about a five minute walk from ISH-DC, plus there's a Capital Bikeshare station right outside the door. COMMUNITY (5/5): ISH-DC has a strong community, and it's very easy to get to know other residents through the meals, occasional events, and group outings arranged in the WhatsApp channel. If you enjoy interacting with people from differing backgrounds, you'll love it. I'd guess around a third of residents are domestic during the summer, and less than that during the academic year. Almost all residents are in their twenties. PRICE (4/5): D.C. isn't cheap, especially in a neighborhood like Dupont Circle, but my understanding is that ISH-DC is very reasonably priced. Consider also that you'll be saving some money on food compared to living elsewhere (see below). ROOM QUALITY (3/5): I stayed in Marpat Hall, which is a short outside walk away from the main building. The rooms are fairly old, and look/feel a little quirky and dusty, but they're perfectly satisfactory and (crucially) air-conditioned. More recently, I stayed in Van Slyck Hall, which has a more modern but less homey aesthetic. Generally, maintenance issues are addressed reasonably quickly. Most rooms are doubles, and there's a waiting list for the singles. COMMON FACILITIES (4/5): ISH-DC's main building is a gorgeous tudor-style mansion. (You can check it out on Google Street View.) There are several great common areas, including a library with a TV, game room, and exercise room. The main hall is straight out of Hogwarts. The laundry is free, although there aren't always enough washers/dryers to go around, and they sometimes break down. The house lacks adequate facilities for personal food preparation, as there is a microwave but no kitchen available to residents. The communal refrigerators are overcrowded and unclean, and the cleaning staff often remove food that has not yet gone bad. FOOD (5/5): ISH-DC provides free breakfasts and dinners every day from Mikko, a local Nordic restaurant. It's a great perk that helps reduce living costs and brings the community together. The food is high quality (not the same as a restaurant, but much better than the old Sodexo services), and the Nordic elements (e.g. lingonberry jam) are fun. Coffee, tea, and milk are available at all hours. It's possible to order late meals, but this needs to be done by 4 p.m. POLICIES (4/5): Packages and mail are all handled conveniently at the front desk, which is staffed 24/7 by a resident (someone you'll probably know). Some house policies are frustratingly restrictive, though. For instance, visitors are not allowed after 10 p.m., and if you have a friend visiting D.C., they cannot stay with you unless you arrange it days in advance and pay $75 per night.

Irène Hu: ISH is definitely the best place to stay if you want to meet incredible and engaged young people from around the world, with nearly a hundred residents, you cannot but find friends with who you will share so much. I first intended to stay only a couple of months at ISH as I didn't know any one in DC, make some friends and then move out in a flatshare..but no, I stayed the full length of my one-year in DC. Just could not leave the community. Staff members are devoted and doing their best to make our living at ISH a great experience. And it definitely was for me!

P B: ISH is a great place to live, and I would highly recommend it. I lived here for two years (June 2014- August 2016) and enjoyed my stay. Ultimately, the resident experience is what you make of it. If you are excited about living with around 100 young professionals from all over the world, this is a great place for you. - The People: By far the best benefit to living here and you will make connections. Think tankers, international scholars, visiting professors - ideas are well represented here. I made many lifelong friends all over the world, went on road trips and vacations, went out to classical concerts and operas, went for evening dinners, and took advantage of everything historical and culture DC has to offer. It's nice to be around people who always want to do something, and you will not get lonely. - The price: It's unbeatable for the location. For $1,100 - $1,600 a month, you get a room in one of the best neighborhoods in downtown DC, food, utilities, maintenance, and resident activities included. You will not find better. Trust me, I looked. - Booking: You can book for a minimum one month stay and can book month to month. That flexibility is crucial if you're trying to extend your stay in the US. - The Staff: The staff and maintenance are all welcoming, warm, and sincere people. When problems arose, they were addressed properly, professionally, and promptly. - The Facilities: Since Google came in and took 360 panoramas of the house, you can get an idea of what the communal areas are like (not the case when I applied). - The Rooms: Some rooms are nicer than others. If you aren't comfortable living in a somewhat small room with others, you may not want to live here. Marpat (the men's hall) is essentially dormitory style living and is in need of updates.

Boban Markovic: This place definitely deserves more credit! I lived at ISH for two semesters and it was one of the best experiences I had. If you are seeking housing at the great location, don’t have time (or don’t know how) to cook, prefer international crowd to mingle, discuss global issues and hit the bar on the weekend, this place is for you. The location of the house is unbeatable. You can easily reach almost any part of DC metro are from Dupont Circle. World-famous institutions with great speakers and events are just around the corner (Brookings, Carnegie Endowment, German Marshall Fund, AEI, Johns Hopkins SAIS…). When it comes to restaurants, this area provides everything from upscale dining, casual seating, take-out, to 3am jumbo slice pizza (i.e. Duccini’s). The neighborhood is probably the safest in DC, LGBT friendly, with a lot of international people, young professionals, and plethora of cultural events. Public pool, tennis courts etc are not far away. You can enjoy a morning run, read a book or sip coffee on the ISH patio or in the library, or hit the bars and indulge in the nightlife at the U and 14th Street, just a few blocks away. When it comes to facilities, ISH buildings are old, but in a solid shape. The main building is a Tudor style mansion with dining hall, TV room, library, patio, great hall, and the residence area. It looks like Hogwarts! Van Slyck and Marpat Hall are built later, very simplistic, but still a good living area. Rooms are warm in the winter and there are AC units or central HVAC in all rooms. Common areas are clean and well maintained by the support staff, but the cleanliness of your room depends on you. It is a true convenience to wake up in the morning or come in the evening and have a hot meal. While food is not the best in the world (this is not a hotel or your mom’s kitchen), it is pretty good. There are usually two dishes, vegetarian option, salad bar, soup, desert, coffee, tea,… plenty to choose from. Now, the monthly price varies between $1,300-$1,650 per room, depending if it’s a single or shared room. This includes room, food, use of the common facilities and all events. Also, if you stay a bit longer you can work at the front-desk for a few hours every week and save some money. Good luck finding studio (without food) for this price in the neighborhood! The best part of ISH are people. We organized a variety of events, traveled on the weekends, went out together, had movie nights, cookouts, Halloween party, attended a bunch of fancy events with Congressmen and Ambassadors visiting the house. Alcohol is not allowed in the common areas, but having a few drinks in your room with friends before going out is totally ok. Again, this is not a hotel so don’t expect a queen-size bed, etc. It is a student dorm. For your money, you get decent housing, food, great facilities for common use, great location, safe neighborhood and opportunity to make friends worldwide and enjoy yourself. I strongly recommend it to students and interns! ISHers will become your DC family.

Roman Ginzburg: My review is bit dated since I stayed here in 2004 for a year and summer of 2008. I had a wonderful experience and met incredible ppl at ISH. Things have changed since, but would still recommend a stay to anyone new to DC.

Claudia Li-Ting You: For foreign students and interns, this is the best house and family that you will have if you stay here. I am an ISH alumni, and I love this place and all the friends that I met here.

10K Hill South: what do users think?

Zach Brehm: I moved into 10K after trying a few other options throughout Alexandria and DC over the past few years. 10K has been the best option by far - the amenities and staff are all top tier, as are the finishes in the apartments. The building has fun events on a regular basis and provides a great value. Walking distance to multiple waterfront locations in Navy Yard and the Wharf and easy access to capital hill are also awesome perks.
Response: We really appreciate you taking the time to share your wonderful experience with us. If there is anything else you need, please do not hesitate to contact us. Have a great day! -The Team at 10K Hill South

Jackson Suarez: If you are moving to Navy Yard I highly recommend checking out 10k. Great staff and 24/7 resident service. Amenities are a level above any competitor in the area. Leasing agents are great and really are the ones that convinced me to move in. They were available around the clock to answer any questions and were incredibly accommodating. Remy was personally my leasing agent and I highly recommend using him if you are considering moving to 10k & One Hill South.
Response: Many thanks for sharing your feedback with us. We want to consistently exceed your every expectation! Please contact us at 10KGM@related.com for any future needs. -The Team at 10K Hill South

Ken Denton: Our son was attending American University when covid hit, AU like most of the colleges in the country, closed down their on campus housing for students. We hurriedly found an apartment close to the college for our son and felt good that we found one, every student was forced into this situation at the same time and places were not exactly abundant. After a year we started to become concerned with all the stories of student depressions. We never had reason to be concerned with our son in the past but hearing some stories from co-workers concerning their children we decided to look for another apartment for our son which had more to offer in the way of amenities. We as well as our son did an exhaustive search throughout the DC area. Our son came across the 10k and was literally overwhelmed by the gym and the rooftop pool. It seems like everyone makes comments about staff these days that basically repeat everyday talking points, such as they are great, courteous,etc.etc. That would be a total understatement in this case. They from day 1 acted as if they were family. I was there for my son’s move in and stayed for about a week. When I left the gentleman behind the counter actually came around the counter and shook my hand and said he was going to miss me and come back soon. Who does that anymore? My son would have friends over for bowling and for a while during a lull in his studies, would shoot hoops for hours and was often included in scrimmages for which he liked talking about. To actually go to the rooftop lay on a lounge chair and read a book was a favorite pastime of his, I didn’t even know that he like to read. All in all, to not have to worry about our son’s safety or mental health by being in such a warm and inviting atmosphere, during a very difficult college year for most, well lets just say it is hard to imagine that we could have found a better place for him to finish up his senior year of college.
Response: We really appreciate your taking the time to share your wonderful experience with us. If there is anything else you need, please do not hesitate to contact us at 10KGM@related.com. -The Team at 10K Hill South

Manuel Lauzurique: Took a tour of One Hill South and 10 K, the tour was conducted by one of their Senior Leasing Representatives, Remington Joyce. The tour was exceptional, Remington did an amazing job at communicating clearly and professionally what the community has to offer. After touring several apartment building in the area, not only the attention to detail by Remington, and the quality and elegance of the space, this is by far the place to live in the Capitol Riverfront neighborhood. Exceptional!
Response: We really appreciate your taking the time to share your wonderful experience with us. If there is anything else you need, please do not hesitate to contact us at 10KGM@related.com. -The Team at 10K Hill South

Brittany M: I came here today seeing that this building was beautiful. Saw some reviews but clearly I was mislead. Some man behind the counter who is supossed to be a concierge was just a rude and unhelpful individual. There were people in the lobby trying to complete deliveries and the way he acted towards them was completely shocking to say the least. There was another woman standing at the counter that he claimed to be helping but I don't know what that was. Never going back to that place. He's fair skinned and bald. Just Rude.

Divyesh Gutta: Great complex with fantastic views of the city and DCA airport. The amenities within the building are thoughtfully designed and give this community a hotel-like feel.
Response: Thank you for sharing your experience and for the positive feedback about 10K Hill South! If there is anything we can further assist with, please reach out to us at 10KGM@related.com. -The Team at 10K Hill South

Msnewslady: I've lived in many different apartment buildings in several states. This one is by far the best from the amenities, to the cleanliness and safety/security. But what my husband and I love the most is the stellar customer service the concierge provides. They anticipate your needs and are knowledgeable about the area. Management/leasing is wonderful too, specifically Chad. I have absolutely no complaints! Highly recommend!
Response: Hi J, Thank you so much for your kind words about 10K! We're thrilled you've had such positive experiences with our staff and with living in the building. Please do not hesitate to reach out if there is ever anything else we can do.

Suhail Sikka: As someone who has lived in many buildings in DC, 10K Hill South is the best building I have lived in. The amenities are unmatched, and the location is ideal, but my favorite part of living here is the concierge service. The staff (Xavier, Cherrod, Key, Calvin, Mira, and others) always go above and beyond to make sure any needs I have are being met. Additionally, our leasing agent (Remington Joyce) has done a great job of accommodating myself and my roommate. I highly recommend checking out 10K Hill South if you are interested in a great living experience.
Response: Hi Suhail, Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled you've had such a positive experience living in the building and with our staff. Please do not hesitate to reach out if there is ever anything else we can do for you.

Kome Emuh: Beautiful building. Super chic and modern, it's basically a retirement home for millennials. You have everything you need in one place - from the indoor/outdoor pool to the gym and co-working space. It really does make for a luxury experience. The employees (Xavier, Remington & Chad) are so accommodating and cater to all residential needs.
Response: Thanks for your kind words, Kome! We're so glad you had such a positive experience living in the building and with Xavier, Remington and Chad. Please don't hesitate to reach out if there is ever anything else we can do.

Cynthia Herrera: While I wish we could have leased with 10K, my review is based on my experience with their leasing agent, Remington. The specific units we were looking for were not available by the time we found 10K. After getting in touch with Remington, he did everything possible to make sure I had all the information needed to make the best informed decision. He made himself readily available and offered information regarding other units that might interest us. I am super sad it didn’t work out, as 10K client services and amenities were extremely impressive.
Response: Thanks for your kind review, Cynthia! We're so glad you had such a positive experience with Remington – don't hesitate to reach out if there is ever anything else we can do.

Fred A. Smith Company: what do users think?

Adriane Hall: Professionalism of rental office is ridiculous. The residential manager of our complex has an extreme attitude issue, as if she’s never worked with real people in her life. I explained to her how our laundry room app hadn’t worked in over 2 weeks ( as of now almost 4 months ), and her response was disrespectful & extremely uncalled for. They are supposed to tow cars in our parking lot if the Owner doesn’t live here, they haven’t and even threatened to tow OUR car ( she knew it was ours ). Her children live in our complex ( LIVE , not WORK for ) & have on numerous occasions harassed my guests. The apartment itself & the location is great, but unfortunately they have a rental office full of people with terrible people skills. As soon as this lease is up I’m running.
Response: We’re sorry to hear you did not have a great experience. Thank you for letting us know, as we take time to address all customer feedback. Please feel free to call our office to discuss the matter in more detail.

Dominique Gebru: DC’s housing market is tough. As a renter, it can feel like your options are overpriced luxury or old, not updated units that include terrible management service. Fred A. Smith seems to be the exception. We found a perfect-for-us unit in the heart of Columbia Heights managed by FAS, with a price tag that didn’t make me want to cry. The leasing process was simple and didn’t require tons of trips to their office. FAS has integrated a tenant portal for rent and repair requests, and our repair requests were always handled promptly. The company is pretty no-frills, but was perfect for our needs. I have an ESA dog, and they processed that paperwork quickly. I’d wholeheartedly recommend using FAS to find your new apartment.
Response: Thank you Dominique for your review and taking the time to share your experience with others. We appreciate it very much!

Kemi Asani: The Fred A. Smith Company manages one of the apartments that I was interested in. Their overall application process was incredibly slow, and with lack of communication. I called, left messages and finally a MONTH later received a decision about an application. These folxs act as though they are gatekeepers. Save yourself the stress and avoid this company. Moving and relocating is already stressful and you don't need to jump through hoops to acquire a living space.
Response: We appreciate your feedback and we are sorry your experience was less than desirable. Please contact our office to discuss your situation.

Sabrina Brogren: Had a great experience renting from Fred A. Smith company! The unit was as advertised and reasonably priced. They were always extremely responsive to emails (we heard back within 1-2 business days), and when necessary, they sent over maintenance folks who were clearly very experienced. I even once let them know that the stove had a cracked knob that caused it to not work very well, and they quickly had a new one sent over. Move in and move out was smooth, and everyone we interacted with was kind and professional.
Response: Sabrina, thank you for taking the time to share about your experience. We are always working to figure out what it takes to give each customer the best service.

Tanisha Gupta: Absolutely awful maintenance team. My room AC is broken in the midst of a significant heat wave in DC and FAS has not cared to even address my concerns. After waiting for multiple days, I only got a response to my emails and maintenance requests by threatening to write this review. Even then, they have not taken action to come look at the issue, let alone fix it. One of my roommates also has a broken AC, and is facing similar problems. As much as I like the location of the building and the people I live with, I will never live in an FAS-owned property again.
Response: Thank you for your feedback, and we are very sorry to hear that you were left with that impression of our business. I can assure you that we take all feedback seriously. Please feel free to call our office to discuss your concerns further.

EllisAshley Anderson: Trying to get an update on maintenance ticket submitted Sunday for The Violet. Please reach out. Stuff on the wall looks like mold. 05/24/22 update: STILL waiting on a response from maintenance and management! 06/02/22 update: owner responded to the Google review but we are STILL waiting on a call back. We've left numerous voicemails and maintenance tickets via our tenant portal. We would appreciate a number that we could actually talk to someone, not just leave a voicemail each time as that seems to do nothing.
Response: We are sorry to hear about your experience. We take feedback very seriously and would appreciate it if you could give us a call to discuss your situation.

Ramo Sherreiff: I'd give them a 0 if I could. This is the most trifling rental company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I moved into my unit on 7/1/19 and informed them of MULTIPLE problems with my unit in the first week. I have had TWO inspections by DCRA (both of which fined them over $12,000 for violations). Things from broken windows and AC units to a roach infestation in my unit, the hallway and the garbage cans outside of the building! I advised ANYONE having to deal with them (and if you haven't moved in with them DONT!!!!!!) contact DCRA (you can go right to their site and request an inspection even if you do not get any assistance in paying your rent, like myself.). Note, it may take a few as they seem to NOT care about even getting thousands of dollars in fines. However, you do have options other than sitting around and waiting for an ANSWER for a MONTH from them to FIX their property's issues (meanwhile wanting full rent the whole time!). The washing machine here has been broken for 3 months (to this date) and hasn't even been checked by them (despite me reminding them at the beginning of the month that nothing has been done). They also know they are wrong as, instead of fixing the problems with their unit and building, they offered me the chance to leave my lease. I honestly would've taken the escape if I hadn't spent so much time, money and energy moving into this unit (which isn't the problem, it's the management, or lack there of). If you can, avoid them like a plague. If you are already dealing with their foolishness, call DCRA as your first step. Then use that to go to court. Good luck in dealing with their special brand of mismanagement! They are lazy, refuse to do ANY of their job (even after thousands in fines!) and lie about everything (make sure you do EVERYTHING by e-mail, don't talk to ANYONE! You'll need the proof of their lies!)
Response: Mr. Sherreiff, we are sorry to hear about the complications you experienced with your move-in. We took over management of this building at the same time you moved in, so there were some things that came as a surprise to us, as well. We will be in close contact with you privately to make sure all of your issues get resolved.

Colin Boerger: The staff at Fred A Smith were very responsive and professional. They did a great job all the way from looking at places to moving out of our apartment. I had to find a place in very short notice and they were accommodating to my quick timeline. They were very prompt to any maintenance requests and kept everything in the apartment in good working order. I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for an apartment.
Response: Colin, thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We appreciate your recommendation very much!

Cheyenne Brown: I was hoping for the best moving into my first apartment. During the tour the building and unit LOOKED to be very attractive and well put together, unfortunately it was the total opposite. After 2 weeks of being partially moved in, rain came and COMPLETELY flooded our apartment. How could they be unaware of such a SERIOUS issue?? It took almost a month for them to move us into a different unit (with very poor and unprofessional movers might I add) and I'm sure it could've taken longer if we did not take the measures we did. Even the unit we moved into wasn't the cleanest (dead bugs throughout the apartment). After settling in to our new unit, we discovered further how poorly the building was built. We could hear our neighbors below us conversations and I'm pretty sure they could hear ours. Some maintenance requests were filled in a timely manner, some weren't. And even in this new unit, when it would rain we would still experience water inserting our unit. OVERALL, terrible experience when communicating with folks at the Fred A. Smith office. It's been a few weeks since we've heard anything about our deposit return, we had to reach out to them and even now it's been a week since we've responded to an email regarding our deposit and have heard nothing back.
Response: We are very sorry about your situation. I can assure you that we take all feedback seriously. Please contact us so we can properly address your case.

Joe Kawly: The property manager was ready to help and communicate to make my situation better and less stressful after I had an issue with my basement apartment. A prompt response is what tenants need. Thank you
Response: Joe, thank you so much for sharing your experience. We appreciate you taking the time to write a review for us!

Camden NoMa Apartments: what do users think?

Daisy Gutierrez: I've lived here for almost 2 years. It can be noisy and elevators and garage doors are broken several times a year, but I like the inside of my apartment. I went to look at other places like the Gantry and though they have a lot of external things that I never make use of anyways so I don't care their apartments are tiny and the layout is just terrible and they are overpriced even with he supposed months free. The apartments here are spacious and the price is not ridiculous. It's a great location too! I also almost always feel safe ... though we've had some issues/incidents, they do try to take care of them quickly. All in all, I'd live here again. I would recommend an apartment facing the inside of the building as those are quieter and maybe not the top floor. I lived on the top floor for half the time here and I would not recommend it if you like it quiet. It can get VERY noisy, like vibrating your walls can't hear your TV from the music, and it's very annoying because it's at all hours during the week/end. With that said you might get lucky if you pick a spot that doesn't have a pool or something fun on top of it.
Response: Hi Daisy! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We value everyone's feedback and are always striving to provide the most peaceful and comfortable living for all of our residents. Thank you for continuing your stay with us! Sincerely, Camden NoMa

DejaRai Hawkins: I had an amazing experience here on my search for an apartment. I attended a tour with Dara who was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and made me feel at home during our tour. Her energy was absolutely amazing and welcoming as well. Any questions we had, she answered them in full and I left with all the answers to the questions I had when I first arrived. I HIGHLY recommend Camden for anyone looking to move at the moment. It is such a beautiful living space and the rooftop was the best part of the tour for me.
Response: Hello DejaRai, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are thrilled to learn you had amazing experience with Dara. We would love to have you living with us as we would love nothing more than you continue making it a place you are happy to call home. Tiffany Minor: Camden Noma continues to be home because of the amazing leasing agents, communication with residents, and attentiveness to details. My leasing agent Ci was wonderful. Not only did she provide me with excellent service but I also witnessed Ci going out of her way to greet every future resident and current resident we encountered. The teamwork Ci and the other agents displayed to secure every detail that was important to my rental was outstanding.
Response: Good morning, Tiffany, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. Thank you for continuing to call Camden NoMa home! We do truly care about our community and our residents and makes us extremely happy when we surpass their expectations. We are looking forward to having you living with us for years to come. Sincerely, Camden NoMa

Anthony Coles: I've lived here for about four months and have to shout out one of the best parts of being a Camden resident: the amazing concierge staff! All of them are great people and extremely friendly. Sande who works at the front for example learned my name and apartment number by memory so he always let's me know if there is a package for me and truly cares about all the residents. He and the rest of the staff make this my best renting experience ever!
Response: Hi Anthony! This is wonderful to hear! We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience about our concierge team and being apart of our Camden family! Sande is truly a gem and a wonderful asset to our community. Creating connections with our residents is truly what Camden is about! We will continue to provide living excellence and create lasting impressions for all in whom we come into contact with. Sincerely, Camden NoMa Management

Blain Bekele: Read, read, read the bad reviews before moving in. I have been living in this unit for exactly 37 days now. As a lot of reviews pointed out this is a a very expensive, fake luxury unit. If you visit, do not do a self tour, i believe they use this to avoid disclosing specific information about units. at least that is exactly what happened to me and my housemate. you could end up with this lovely views every single day. on one side we have a revolving of construction trucks, workers and others taking their lunch break, changing cloth and some people occasionally wave to me while i sit in my living room. on the other side we have this lovely contraption of fake flowers and bed sheets for a view. For some reason my neighbor has permission to cover our window so she has privacy to her balcony but management seem to not care about our entire living room privacy. I will be updating this as soon as possible, Today I was informed by management that the only solution is for us to switch units.
Response: Hi Blain, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your experience. We strive to ensure all of our residents are comfortable in their homes. We want every encounter with us and our community to be memorable and do have different tour types available to our prospects. We are always in the office before and after each experience to answer any questions and we do want our residents to be happy living with us. We are happy to set up a time to discuss your concerns, please reach out to us at nomamanagers@camdenliving.com Sincerely, Camden NoMa

Anahita H. Matin: I have been living in Camden Noma since 2020. It is a great community and such a beautiful home for me. The concierge staff are amazing! Duncan has always been helpful. The maintance staff of this building are very resposive and quick. They are always attentive, and fixed any problem my apartment had at the earliest possible. Onetime I had an emergeny on a Sunday and one of them showed up within two hours fixing a leak. The leasing office staff are very helpful, pleasant, welcoming and professional. They always dealt with any issue in a timely manner. Last but not least, a big shout out to the community manager, Michelle. she is always very responsive in anything I as a resident raise to her. Her leadership and communication skills are great. One time during early days of covid the unit on top of me did something crazy and poured all the dirt in my balcony. It was a mess! I will never forget how Michelle personally took care of this issue and went above and beyond to resolve the matter. The building is very well kept and clean with beautful court yard and rooftop. I love my apartment and I love living here.
Response: Hello Anahita, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. Thank you for continuing to choose to call Camden Noma home. We strive to deliver service that will exceed our residents' expectations, and we are very thrilled that we have met the mark with you. Every team member takes great pride in taking care of our residents and community. Rest assured that we will continue to make your living experience here at Camden NoMa one you will always be proud to call home. We hope to have you planted with us in the years to come. If you ever need anything, please reach out to t us. We are always ready to help. Best, Camden NoMa

Brian Redder: Sadly, I honestly don't have too many good things to say about this place. I lived here over a year and it was such a terrible experience. I had to repeatedly call maintenance and the leasing office to fix things in my apartment only to be told they'll have to come back another time. The leasing agents are very nice to you until you sign the lease, then you're only dollar signs to them. The only good thing about the place is the amenities, but the constantly broken elevators, almost not existent maintenance, insanely high prices, do not make it worth it and I'd suggest finding somewhere else to live. The worst part was that they try to charge you for so many things when you move out, some things that DC statute lists as illegal, but they do it anyways. I usually understand how difficult it can be to run an apartment building, but the management here needs a shake up. Overall a terrible experience and the building I've moved to since has been amazing, so I know its possible.
Response: Hi Brian, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sad to hear your experience with us has not been met to the standard of Camden. We strive to give excellent service to all of our residents and guests. Camden prides itself on being fair and transparent with all residents from the first interaction to the move-out process. We welcome you to reach out to us at anytime. Sincerely, Camden NoMa Management

Chantelle Smith: Dara helped me and my roommate look for a 2bedroom apartment. She was very knowledgeable and patient with us. We had a lot of questions and she made sure to put our mind at ease with making the right decision. We decided to move forward with Avalon First and M across the street from them but It was a very close call. Thank you Dara
Response: Hi Chantelle! We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with Dara. We are honored to have her on our team! Please know you are always welcome here at Camden NoMa! Sincerely, Your Camden NoMa Team

Arthur Brown: This community is great, definitely checks off all my boxes. Great amenities, affordable luxury living and the staff was great. I personally toured with Ciarra who is very well knowledge with the community’s perks and market. I would highly recommend this community to family and friends as it does play a very important role in my decision making.
Response: Hello Arthur, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are thrilled to know you have had a great experience with our team and community. We look forward to having you join our Camden NoMa family. Rest assured, you will continue to experience Living Excellence with us. Have a great day! Camden NoMa

Frank Phillips: Excellent experience at Camden NoMa. The entire complex was gorgeous and the staff was great. I would absolutely recommend checking them out. My partner and I toured 6 different apartment buildings and Camden had the nicest individual apartments of all the buildings we toured. Before getting into that, I want to mention how exceptional the customer service was. The leasing agent who took us on our tour was Dara Tucker and it was the most comfortable I have ever felt touring an apartment. Dara was very friendly and super helpful. She showed us 3 different units and all of the buildings amenities and really made us want to move there. After we finished our tour, Camden became our #1 choice. The pros: the kitchens were the best ones we saw all day by far, the modern feel and huge island were a major draw. The patio on the first floor apartment we toured was huge and private. The room with a glass wall was strange but added something unique to the apartment that we actually really liked. The buildings amenities are everything you’d expect from luxury apartments and I could’ve totally seen myself hanging out in the courtyard on summer nights with friends. The negative for us were the “dog parks.” The parks are really tiny and we probably wouldn’t use them because we have a bigger dog. We decided not to choose Camden NoMa to move into and the only reason why was because we needed a different location. NoMa is a great area and close to Union Market, but we really wanted to live within walking distance of where we work.
Response: Hello Mr. Phillips, Thank you for sharing your experience! We also thank you for recognizing Dara. She is amazing and is a great addition to our team. It warms our hearts knowing that although you did not choose our property, you took the time to share and leave your positive feedback. Our doors are always open and you all are welcomed anytime. Take care and good luck on your hunt for your new home. Warm regards, Your Camden NoMa Team

Meridian at Mt. Vernon Triangle: what do users think?

Elias Chelala: I just moved into PH II about a month ago and so far everything about the Meridian has been splendid. Olivia K. and Ms. Heart were really helpful and welcoming and as soon as I walked in they made me feel right at home. They even left me a welcome kit in the apartment with snacks and other small house warming gifts. The building is located in an awesome location near Mount Vernon Square and right across the street from Safeway. The amenities are nice and the apartment was the cleanest I toured in DC after stopping at over 10 different locations. The service requests are completed in a timely manner and all of the staff are very friendly. Work is right down the street and there is lots to do within walking distance. Additionally, you can't beat the sq ft and pricing they offer at the Meridian. I'm glad I chose this place as my home and I highly recommend it! Now I just need some furniture 😂
Response: Hi Elias, welcome to the Meridian Mt Vernon family! We are so excited to have you join our community. Thank you for the kind words about our staff and for taking the time to share with us! We appreciate your time and will definitely work hard to uphold the outstanding quality of our services!

Casey Fullman: Olivia (leasing agent) was incredibly helpful during the touring and leasing process. She went above and beyond to ensure that I was able to find an apartment that fit my needs from a size and price perspective. The process from touring to signing the lease was incredibly time efficient, straightforward and I was very impressed not only by her professionalism but also by her friendly demeanor. She was the most helpful leasing agent of all of the leasing agents that I worked with as I toured DC apartments. I would highly recommend using Olivia as your leasing agent if you tour this building.
Response: Thank you for the high praise, Casey! It's extremely rewarding to hear that Olivia was able to accommodate you during your move into Meridian Mt Vernon. We take great pride in ensuring our residents are aided every step of the way and appreciate you taking the time to give us a shout-out. Welcome home!

Michael Porter: Moved out of this place 2 months ago but my experience living here for the couple of months I lived in DC was great. The premises were always kept clean and orderly, staff was helpful, friendly, and always available if we needed any help or had maintenance issues. The rooftop deck with the pool was awesome and had tons of room for entertaining which me and my friends did a lot here. The deck also has views of the monument and Capitol which was amazing, especially at night during cocktail hour. If I ever need to move back to DC, I will absolutely try to live here again.
Response: Hi Michael, we appreciate your review! We are delighted to read that you've had such a great experience here at Meridian Mt Vernon, and our staff was able to show you everything we have to offer. We wish you the best in your new home!

Joe Howe: Olivia the leasing agent has been AMAZING! She has helped us tremendously with a fantastic tour as well as above and beyond customer service skills. Would recommend this apartment complex just based on Olivia alone! Not to mention that the apartment building was kept pristine with the best amenities that we've seen in the area while apartment hunting.
Response: Thank you for the high praise, Joe! It's extremely rewarding to hear that Olivia took such great care of you. We appreciate you for taking the time to share your recognition and hope to have you as a resident with us in the future!

Shekinah Apedo: From a rooftop view, the experience with the leasing office was excellent. The agent handling my move-in, Olivia, was personable, supportive, and engaging. Often, when people first meet me, they mispronounce my name even after I've corrected them, but Olivia got it right on every call. The best customer service exhibits genuine customer care, Olivia exemplified that in my experience.
Response: Hi Shekinah, we're so glad that you've enjoyed your move-in experience with Olivia! We understand that knowing residents by name can truly make a difference, and we're glad that this little detail has made such a great impression on you! We want to thank you for this taking time out of your day to write us this stellar review. We look forward to continuing to exceed your expectations!

Yvette Pena: I have lived at this apartment complex for 5 and a half years; good location and the amenities I need in the building complex. I just changed apartments when my lease was up in July 2021, and it was pretty seamless with the great customer service from Leasing Consultant Olivia Kostovski. In times of pandemic she was very thorough, empathic with my long distance situation when trying to find another apartment virtually and answering my and my Husband's many questions. Olivia has been the best Leasing Agent I have dealt with at this complex, with consistent service. I highly recommend her for your leasing needs, as she is thorough, listens to customer needs and is so nice and pleasant. Thanks to Olivia!
Response: Hi Yvette, thank you for the wonderful review. Our team is delighted that you're enjoying our community and that Olivia left such a positive impression. Thank you for being a resident with us for more than five years. We hope you continue to enjoy our community and are always at our office should you ever need anything!

Kristen Kern: The building and amenities are nice, maintenance is quick to resolve issues, and units are relatively affordable (at least compared to others in the area). The leasing office can be annoying to work with, but that seems to be par for the course.
Response: Thank you for your review. We are so proud to call Meridian Mt Vernon a great community and place for our residents to call home. You mentioned that you have concerns regarding our staff, and we're sorry to hear this. Please contact us so we can speak with you and remedy any of your remaining concerns!

Nancy Reid: I have lived at Meridian Mt. Vernon Square for 3.5 years. It is usually a busy place but not noisy. Tenants are consider of each other. The grounds and buildings are clean and safe.
Response: Hi Nancy, thank you for sharing your experience! We're delighted to know that our excellent service has encouraged you to reside at Meridian Mt Vernon for the past 3.5 years. We truly appreciate your feedback and we hope to have you as a happy resident for many more years to come!

Kyle Johnson: This is distributing and I’m honestly surprised, the way the office treat their custom. This past Wednesday I made a call to the office in order to begin the process of starting an application and the leasing agent she had me on hold for 15 minutes until I hung up myself and decided to move else where. I really wanted to move to the Meridian but I just felt ignored and like my business didn’t matter.
Response: Kyle, This is very surprising (as we only hear great things about Olivia) and concerning to us. Please reach out to us as the Property Manager would like to discuss your experience with you. Thank you.

Hazel Rosenblum: I just moved in to the building a week ago but so far everything has been incredibly smooth and well-organized. I scheduled a tour within 24 hours kind of on a whim -- I really wanted to be in the area but hadn't liked the amenities at other buildings I toured in the neighborhood. When I toured, I fell in love with a specific unit on the top floor that met all my needs. It was a little higher than my price range but a GREAT deal for the square footage I got. I applied the same day I toured for a move in date a week later and Jillian, the leasing agent who helped me, was super responsive and helpful in getting everything turned around quickly. I will admit, I had read the reviews and was anxious about the leasing process, so I may have bombarded her with questions but she was so helpful and kind when answering my excessive questions. When I moved in, I had a two-hour block with the loading dock and elevator -- there was one other person moving out but they were on the first floor and didn't need the elevator so I was able to move all my furniture and stuff into the unit in under my two hour window. The apartment was spotless, clean, and just as nice as when I toured when I moved in. In my first week I have already been able to use some of the amenities, and everyone in the building has been polite and respectful of COVID guidelines. It is SO convenient, so close to everything I wanted in the neighborhood, and I love my unit, the views, and the amenities! So far, everything has been great and I definitely recommend living here.
Response: Hazel, thank you so much for leaving us such a wonderful, in-depth review! It is our mission to make your transition as smooth as possible, and we're delighted we could do that for you. Thank you for highlighting Jillian and all she did for you throughout the move-in process! We're elated to hear that we've turned out to be the perfect place for you to call home. Our team takes great pleasure in ensuring that everyone who resides here enjoys top-notch service and living quality. Welcome to the community!

The Apollo: what do users think?

Cailin Eaton: We are so thankful for the kind members of the Apollo community! We also love the facilities that are beautiful and clean. We have loved raising our son here and even had his first birthday on the roof! Our only critique would be greater transparency in our initial tour and in our lease of how high rent can and will be raised year to year. That surprised us for sure.
Response: Hello Cailin, Thank you very much for taking the time to provide us with a wonderful review and feedback. It is wonderful to hear of your positive experience with our team members, we are thankful for residents such as yourselves! If there is ever anything we can do to assist you, please let us know . Warm Regards, The Apollo Team

Mr: You can rent an apartment here. They are priced very elegantly. You can live here and enjoy everything the area has to offer if you choose this as your new residence. City living has it's benefits for those of you who are socially inclined. There are many apartments to choose from so make sure you see the different layouts and styles so that you can find the one that can accommodate you and your family best.
Response: Hello, thank you very much for the high rating! Your recommendation means so much to us, we are thrilled to hear you have enjoyed your time here at The Apollo! If there is ever anything we can assist you with please let us know. Warm Regards, The Apollo Team

Jen Senna: I really wanted to live here. We found an apartment, and stopped by as soon as the leasing office opened the next day and was turned away for a tour. We were told we’d be reached out by leasing and I ended up calling twice that day to get a hold of them to see if I could get someone in or see a virtual tour. But the time I got ahold of someone- on the same day- the apartment was gone and already leased. The same floor plan on the same floor was $120 more, and I still can’t get anyone to tell me what the difference is (same square footage, same side of building just $100 more). I have followed up via email, but it’s hard to get anyone to email you back- which again, is sad cause I REALLY want to live there!

Megan Smith: My partner and I love living at the Apollo! The concierge and maintenance staff have become like family- Carmen, Josh, September, Ms. Paula, Adrian and Bruce. The dream team!! They are the true reason why we’ve renewed our lease time and time again.
Response: Hello Megan, Thank you very much for taking the time to write such a positive review. We are thrilled to hear you and your partner have been enjoying your time here at The Apollo! If there is anything we can do for you please let us know. Warmest Regards, The Apollo Team

Ramon Castillo II: The building is beautiful, but the best thing about it is absolutely the concierge services. Especially the concierges Carmen, September, and Dominique. They are beyond friendly and get things done quickly and efficiently. Carmen, September, and Dominique are truly top notch concierges and are the highlight of the Apollo. Additionally Josue on the maintenance team is highly reliable, and goes above and beyond to get the job done. Josue’s a true asset to the Apollo’s maintenance team.
Response: Hello Ramon, Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with feedback on your experience here! We're happy to pass along your compliments to Carmen, and we are so lucky to have her on The Apollo team! If you ever need anything from us, please feel free to give us a call or stop by. Have an awesome day! Warm Regards, The ApolloTeam 202-684-7664 theapollo@bozzuto.com

Samantha Neuhalfen: We moved here in the summer of 2019. Typically, we move every year but the Apollo is just too great to leave! :) The building and its amenities are amazing starting from the lobby all the way to the rooftop pools. The gym is top notch and super roomy. The views from the roof are breathtaking. My favorite spot is the conservatory - the most peaceful place in the building in my opinion! Our apartment is truly our favorite out of all the ones we've rented during our time in DC. We can't say enough about the Apollo team who contribute so much to our great experience here! Carmen and Josh are so friendly and supportive. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!
Response: Hi Samantha, Thank you so much for leaving us such an incredible review! We're so happy to have been able to create a sanctuary for you over the past few years. Top quality service is something we strive for with every resident and guest. If you ever need anything else from us, please feel free to give us a call or stop by. Best, The Apollo Team

Scott Hughes: I recently moved to Washington DC and I’m so happy that I chose The Apollo as my new home. Not only did the leasing and management team make selecting and choosing an apartment a breeze, but the concierge staff, especially Josh, has made the transition that much easier. There are so many things to love about The Apollo, the great location within the vibrant H Street Corridor neighbourhood; the building amenities like the rooftop pools, conservatory, and boxing studio in the gym; and the friendly and responsive staff. I highly recommend The Apollo as a place to live, I couldn’t be happier.
Response: Scott, Thank you so much for providing us with feedback on your experience here! We're so happy to have been able to create a sanctuary for you. Top quality service is something we strive for with every resident and guest. We're happy to pass on your comments to our team about your wonderful living experience. If you ever need anything else from us, please feel free to give us a call or stop by. Have an awesome day! Kristal Ricks General Manager

Tiffany Jones: Living at the Apollo has been an amazing experience! From the attentive, kind and dedicated staff to the GORGEOUS amenities, I feel so at home here. I searched for over a year, comparing different apartments in the D.C. area, and nothing compares to the Apollo. For the price, location and the level of dedication to keep the property looking great, it feels like a steal! I was slightly concerned about the noise on H street since I work from home, but because of the quality of the property, my apartment is completely silent and safe! I love being close to so many restaurants, bars and grocery stores as well — the location is super convenient. But, I never want to leave home because the spaces, like the conservatory and rooftop, are incredible. Carmen, Josh, September, Olivia, Adrian and Josue have been especially helpful but everyone at the property is welcoming and supportive for whatever you need. If you’re looking for an apartment that’s high in value, with a great price and location, look no further!
Response: Tiffany, Thank you so much for providing us with feedback on your experience here! We're so happy to have been able to create a sanctuary for you. Margaretann Palmer: I absolutely love The Apollo! It has been a great experience living here for the past two years. The concierge, maintenance team, management and leasing is top notch. Even with changes in staff, the new team was extremely welcoming and happy to help. Major kudos to Brittany, Olivia, and Kristal for an authentic experience! And Ms Carmen Thomas the concierge she is very friendly and helpful and understanding she always greets you with a smile
Response: We strive to deliver an excellent experience, and are glad you found this to be the case. If you ever need anything else from us, please feel free to give us a call or stop by. Have an awesome day! Brittany O’Neal Resident Accounts Manager | The Apollo 600 H Street NE | Washington DC 20002 202-684-7664 Phone | TheApolloDC.com

Claire Danberg: I loved living at the Apollo!! The concierge and staff were always helpful with all of my needs. Maintenance requests were completed within hours of submitting. Moving in and out was super easy to reserve the loading dock/ elevators- they even give you a helpful checklist of move out reminders such as forwarding your USPS address. The amenities of course are a plus as the apartment complex is beautiful! The nicest apartment I've seen by far - you get what you pay for to have such a friendly staff.
Response: Claire Danberg, we really appreciate your positive star rating! We hope to be of service to you again in the future. Best wishes, Brittany O’Neal Resident Accounts Manager | The Apollo 600 H Street NE | Washington DC 20002 202-684-7664 Phone | TheApolloDC.com

The Cloisters Apartments: what do users think?

Emoni Smith: I’ve been living at the cloisters for a short period of time, and it’s been a great experience. Rhonda and Tita (I’m sorry if it’s misspelled) the phone are very pleasant. Rhonda is very helpful and always warm when I have any interaction with her. She walked me through my entire process, even with the challenges that arose, she did it with grace. I really appreciate that in an office staff. The units are huge and plenty of space, even with an enormous wardrobe. My neighbors are quiet and courteous. Any issues, maintenance usually fix in a timely fashion. I love this complex. And Rhonda is the person to ask for!
Response: Thank you, Emoni! We're happy to see that our team here at The Cloisters has been an excellent resource for you from the very beginning! If we can do anything for you, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly. We wish you a long, happy stay!

Brandon Harrod: Rhonda is very professional, down to earth, honest and most of all attentive to what your are looking for within Your means. Her communication skills are great. You can ask her for assistance and she doesn’t hesitate. I’m sure they are busy in the office but when you talk to her she never seems irritated nor make it uncomfortable to call. Thank you for getting myself and my family into a place we call home !!!
Response: Brandon, we're so happy that our helpful team member was able to guide you towards a home you love here at The Cloisters! Thank you for this delightful feedback and we wish you a long, joyful stay!

Eihab Isaac: I have lived in The Cloisters for 2 years. During that time, the management office was very responsive and always looking to improve the community. Tiffany and Kia are just awesome. The building I lived in was clean and quiet. Management responded firmly to all noise complaints. Maintenance are responsive. Roberto and Willy are professionals.
Response: Eihab Isaac, thank you for reflecting on your time here at The Cloisters! It fills us with joy to see how happy you are in our community and we really appreciate that you've recognized our team members for their hard work. We hope you continue to love your home here for a long time to come!

Sahar Lewis: This place is in one of the best locations with reasonable pricing and units that have nice fixtures and look modern. Never had a problem, the staff is great and really accommodating. The apartments are nice and homey. I lived on the ground level apartment and never saw a rodent or roach. The place is clean. I enjoyed living there!!! Shout out to Marianne and Vanessa in the leasing office they do a great job!

Jay Aye: I have been a resident at the Cloisters Apartments for 2 years now, and one thing has remained the same; NO PARKING. This is a serious issue due to the fact that there is a significant monthly fee (i will not mention the amount out of respect for the apartment complex) for parking a parking permit/sticker for additional vehicle (basically everyone with a roommate). There is zero parking enforcement, although there are signs saying that they "tow" parking violators, they do not hold true. The majority of people who take up all of the parking spaces DO NOT HAVE PERMITS, so if you leave work around 5 or if you work late at night, you will most likely have to walk a distance (if you're lucky) to your room. Nothing has been done to fix this situation and it seems like nothing will be done. When i first moved here, i received a parking ticket due to the fact that did not have a parking permit, prompting me to obtain one. I now realize that it was a complete waste since they do not reinforce parking. Moreover, the complex contains a "security officer" at the entrance of the complex. You expect this to add a sense of security, but it does quite the opposite due to the fact that you will either find them sleeping 70% of the time, or extremely distracted. I would love to see some improvements as soon as possible but until then, i will not recommend this place if you have a vehicle or children.
Response: Hi Jay, While we appreciate your feedback, we're extremely disheartened to hear that parking has been such a hindrance for you. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible at our community and want you to know that we realize there has been an increase in people illegally parking on our property and we are actively towing and hope that this issue will resolve the issue. We'll also let our patrol officer know about your feedback. In the meantime, we are only a short walk to public transit if that's an option. We hope our many other features will make up for this and please do not hesitate to reach out to us if there's anything else you'd like to go over. Thank you!

Enmanuel Adalid: I've been living in these apartments for two years without having any problem, Vanessa she was very kind to everyone we missed her, but the person in the reception who will not mention her name will only give a detail that she has short hair provides a terrible service bad attitude , very bad customer service, and I do not want to think that it is racist according to the reactions she have when I go to the office (I am Latino). apart from that the Saturday schedule is supposed to be 12-5 which does not comply, I have two Saturdays in a row which is 4:40 and the office is already closed. put more attention on that staff, we pay a lot of money to live here is not fair to hire staff with no experience in what they do.!!
Response: We appreciate the feedback you provided and sincerely apologize that you did not have the best experience in the leasing office. We embrace diversity and have a very diverse team at the Cloisters. If you want to further discuss this matter with the Property Manager please call us at (202) 332-9090 as we have an open door policy. We appreciate your residency and strive daily to give you the best living experience.

Jackie Pool: The property management here is horrible. The apartments are infested with mice, centipedes, spiders and mold. They refuse to fix our broken washing machine and also left us with broken air conditioning for 3 weeks in the summer. DO NOT MOVE HERE. The buildings are in horrible condition and the trash compactors often break down, leaving garbage sitting outside the dumps. Property management does little to fix or address concerns, often just choosing to put a bandaid on a much larger issue.
Response: Jackie, we are very disappointed to hear that you are experiencing issues with the upkeep and maintenance of our community. We are always striving to keep our community at the highest standards of cleanliness and take the comfort of our residents very seriously. Please contact our office at your earliest convenience to discuss the issue in-depth and how we can address these concerns.

Brittany Clark: Rhonda gave me and my mom the very best customer service I’ve ever received with getting an apartment she was very knowledgeable in detailed about the property what was included in amenities very detailed responses to every question I had she never made me feel like I was just a number she made me feel like I was part of the family from my first inquiry about the apartment home my move very simple and comfortable When you go here ask for Rhonda by name she will take good care of you and you’re family’s apartment needs
Response: Brittany, thank you for this lovely feedback about our friendly, helpful team at The Cloisters! We're confident that you'll love your experience here and we're happy to have you join us on our journey as a community!

Erica Wright: This don't make no sense... You pay 1200 plus and cant even have overnight company. The security guards can be NASTY sometimes.. I would not suggest nobody move over here..you will not be able to have overnight guest unless they walk a mile to your apt. The security is disrespectful the BIG LIGHT SKINNED ONE. THEY SAY they can park anywhere but they decided to take up the limited guest parking.
Response: Erica, we're terribly sorry if any of your visitors have had trouble parking at our community. Visitor parking is first come first serve. If the visitor parking is taken, please have your guest park on the street. We apologize if this has caused any inconveniences to your guests. As for members of our team, if there have been issues, we would be happy to chat in hopes to clear things up and restore your faith in us and our community. Please reach out to us any time if you'd like to talk! Thank you.

Takeshi Nishikawa: I am being a resident for over 5 years and resident service has been consistently declining. Recently, it has been so bad at the leasing office, I try not to get anything delivered to the office. Considering change in apartment seriously.
Response: We're truly dismayed to read this feedback. We would love the opportunity to restore your faith in our team and community. Please schedule a time to speak with our Property Manager as soon as possible so we can improve your experience. Thank you!

Harriet Last: I was supposed to move in my new apartment on the first of March I have call Mr. Isaac the person that has my lease-up package several times and left messages for him he never return my call. I call my specialist and left several messages she hasn't return my call they are the most unprofessional people I know they never return calls and all you get is voice mails. And Noone calls you back They are the worse government agency I ever work with

Davena Weddle: Yes I'm set to move soon and I was having difficulty with reaching workers as they are still working remotely.MsClemens work ethic is impeccable and she shows genuine care and concern. She returns phone calls and replies to emails in a timely manner .I just had to give a review for her and I appreciate her and any other colleagues of hers that care as much as she does ! I'm thankful and excited on my move.

yvette Johnson: Hello everyone I had the same problem but with constant calling since and emailing everyone I got stuff done I did not give up being exhausted however I love Ms. Mary Johnson she's the best will help you even if she is not in that department and Ms. Jannie Lebby and Ms.Mc Daniel's they are really working to improve the quality of the participants concerns they had new people there now just keep emailing and you will eventually get a response Happy Mother's Day to everyone that's a mom God bless 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Tuesde Hines: It was a new experience for me but once you go to the back for your interview the the worker's attitude and the way they speak to the customer is very unacceptable even when it come to the ones sitting at the desk before sending you for the interview their customers service is poor and they give alot of attitude we as customer shouldn't have to deal with this after being on a waiting list over 10 to 20 years were just happy to have come this far to receive service's

Angela Morton: Yes it’s been hectic through this pandemic I just want to say it’s also hectic because we can’t reach our Specialist or whoever your looking for I had a hard time getting in touch with my recertification worker but that didn’t stop me I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Blount she was not my case worker or recertification worker but she never refused my calls and she helped me and she had other cases as well I just wanted to say Mrs. Blount you are a blessing and I appreciate all of your help Thank you 🙏🏾

Catherine Pearson: Difficult to work with the DC housing authority, no one ever returned calls or replies to emails , this organization is a nightmare to work with. The virtual inspection of my property was scheduled for 8/11/2021 , the inspector supposed to call me the landlord first to verify the completion of the lead assessment than the tenant for the virtual ,waited while at work until 5:00 pm no phone call , later that day I was checking my email and came across an email from the inspector asking me to call him apparently the housing Authority didn’t have my phone number on file same for the tenant and I have been working with this organization since 2016 I provided an application with all my informations.. the inspection was scheduled 1 month prior but no one called to correct the issue until the day of the inspection.. so we missed the inspection until now no inspection has been rescheduled We got a re-inspection scheduled 2 months after the first one for October 14 with a default inspector, we waited the whole day and no one called , I called the office the day of the inspection 10/14 twice, first call was around 10:00 am to make sure that we are on schedule also voicing my concern about the default inspector and the agent told me that she didn’t have any information nor a number of the inspector but she reassured me that the unknown inspector will call and I have until 5:00 pm ,around 4:45 pm no sign of the unknown inspector so I decided to call again but the agent has no concrete answer for me , waisted my whole day again without an explanation or any apology, horrible customer service, i am so frustrated and can’t wait to withdraw my service

Sharon Burns: Do anyone here have any information on how to contact HUD to report the DC Housing Authority? I have moved out and purchased a home but the remaining household members will remain and they are telling me that the voucher can not be left to my daughter who is also listed on the voucher as well, they think they can tell people anything and you suppose to run with it....NOT ME!!!! I will contact Fox5 if I have too

Brittany Murray: Absolutely horrible. You wait over an hour on the phone on hold just for the people who answer to have an attitude and can’t even help you. Case workers never reply to emails or call back after you’ve left a voicemail. I’ve even left a detailed email to my case worker Ivy Day about my unit not being inspected in a while and so many issues that they need to know about with no response to this day. I’ve been trying to move all year but they keep telling me they don’t have my recertification packet which I turned in 3 times.I’m so sick of calling and emailing the people just to be ignored. They need to go back in so we can go in and actually get out matters handled. They are way too comfortable sitting at home collecting money.

Starr Foolz: I applied for public housing like 6 years ago. I never received a letter nor a phone call.
