Madrigal Lofts: what do users think?

Andrew Cho: Lived here for 3 years. Staff is incredible, never had a package stolen, and the neighbors are super friendly. You can walk to most downtown places, and the building is one block away from the I-395 entrance, so driving out of DC is convenient. 90% of residents are owners, so there is a strong community.

Jonathan Ross: Amazing place to live. Great location and the staff here is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Amenities are good and building is in great shape. Walking distance to City Center, Chinatown, and Union Station; you're in the middle of the city but Mount Vernon Triangle still gives you a community feel.

K. Antonio Wright: These condominiums are very nice a good friend of mines lives here & I love 2 come visit him just 2 embrace these beautiful places!

Jonathan Isett: nice lobby, security, and good location in D.C. Lots of stuff to walk to close by. Lofts are nice and offer all the amenities. Parking, too!

allen young: Great place to live I have done work in several of these units the management team, security team, and maintenance team are really good and nice people

Tamora Papas: Great space and very convenient.

Vaughn Pinkett: If you've never make it here

Nina Loftin: Great ambiance with lots of natural lighting

Jonny: Nice building with a pleasant staff

J Fitz: Nice looking appartment

Mission Lofts: what do users think?

Ben Darius: Mission Lofts isn't just a place to call home, this place is an EXPERIENCE! The gym has everything I need; I used to roll my eyes at people who rode stationary bikes, but now I'm an avid member of the Peloton community! The lower level is a great place to work remotely and host bible studies. I particularly love the outdoor grill area with the fire pit. The sky views from the apartment are glorious everyday! Though I will say when it comes to living on the south side of the building, what you gain in sights you pay for in SIRENS (fire trucks, police, and ambulances blare their horns at the intersection upwards of 8 to 12 times a day). The appliances are reliable and apartment layouts aesthetically impressive. I get a lot of use out of the built-in water filter in the kitchen. Most impressive of all is the staff that works here. Shout out to Jess, Moona, Elshaday, Albert, and Maria - you guys make it a joy to live here. Answering questions quickly and acknowledging me with smiles every time I pass by, this team is incredibly professional AND personal - I dare you to find a culture like this at the other apartments you're considering.
Response: Ben, That's such a great feeling to know that we left you with such a remarkable impression of Mission Lofts. We're overjoyed to see your rating and truly thank you for sharing! Mission Lofts Team

Carlos Velazquez: I have lived at the Mission Lofts for a year. I decided to renew my lease. It was a difficult decision given the recent flooding challenges. However, the leasing and maintenance team is great. The amenities are very nice and my unit is very quiet. A peace-of-mind is a valuable benefit.
Response: We appreciate you sharing your comments, Carlos! I am sorry I missed you today, I look forward to meeting you next week. Sincerely, Jon Formella Senior Property Manager

Malik Mitchell: I moved in Mission lofts December 2021. Love the community, the staff, and location. Apartments have all the newest and updated fixtures. Also, so much space for the price compared to other properties in the area. Would like a better intercom system for guest entry if possible, current is a bit dated. Overall made a great decision moving here!
Response: Hi Malik, Thanks for the great review! We're thrilled that you had a 5-star experience at our location. We look forward to providing you with more great experiences in the near future. Sincerely, Jessica

iOntheBeat: Moving was great. Moona was extremely helpful, very responsive and always willing to help. Super happy with the apartment and amenities. Everything looks brand new. The apartment is located close to everything and there is barely any noise. We cant even any of the neighbors! Looking forward to my stay!!
Response: We appreciate the time you took to give us 5-stars! It's great to know that we were able to provide you with the highest levels of service. We look forward to serving you many more times in the future! See you soon!

Darnell: Lived at mission lofts for over a year. I recently renewed my lease and do not plan on leaving. My apartment is top tier. The leasing team is always dotting their “i” and crossing their “t”. On point. Amenities and common areas are kept crisp. The views are also incredible. I recommend this building as often as I can. I love living here.
Response: It's such a great feeling to know that we left you with such a remarkable impression of Mission Lofts. We're overjoyed to see your rating and truly thank you for sharing!

Gal from VA: I am leaving a review because I don’t feel like too many people leave reviews for the great things businesses do. Mission lofts is the hidden gem of Falls Church. As soon as you walk into the building , it’s a vibe of its own and you want to see more. The corky paintings, the amenities, the apartments. I LOVE my apartment. The finishes, the space, the VIEWS!!! I frequently enjoy the sunsets. My neighbors are nice. The building is clean and always smells amazing! The management team is AMAZING. Jessica the property manager goes above and beyond to make sure that we the residents are happy and if there is any issue she’s right on top of it. Moona moved me in, and she’s very graceful, knowledgeable, and over all charming. The maintenance team is ON TOP of everything! Albert and Rodney know what they’re doing and always have smiles on their faces. Avenue 5 is LUCKY to have such an amazing team. I am overall super happy that I found this place and made it home.
Response: Thank you for your review. We're happy to know that we've exceeded your expectations and look forward to continuing to do so!

hans zwierstra: Initially, this place was great, until some of the old neighbors moved out and new ones came in. The promise I was sold on for a "noise minimizing apartment" quickly went out the window. If only they built the walls out of concrete... I believe that the experience will depend entirely on your neighbors if you are a light sleeper or have a non-typical work schedule. Pros: -Decent sounds insulation vs normal sounds. I pretty much only hear voices within my unit if my neighbors are having a domestic disturbance or a party. Or are on the phone standing in front of my door. -A large number of parking spaces. -Pretty good gym. -Rare exposed concrete ceiling/floors. -Good maintenance team. Cons: -Noise transmission from impacts is very bad. Heavy footsteps from the unit across the hall can be felt, as can objects being dropped, etc. The hard surfaces from the concrete ceiling and floors make it worse. I don't think most people have the lease required % of carpet, so it's a challenging situation. Entirely neighbor dependent. -The many parking levels do not connect well or at all and is not secured. -Building security is questionable. I've found open unattended and unsecured entry doors on many occasions. -The package room can be a nightmare. Edited since leasing did help out after I talked to them in person and things have improved quite a bit with my noisy neighbors. Will edit again with final impressions after move out.
Response: Hans, Thank you for your honest feedback. We are truly disappointed we did not meet your expectations. Your satisfaction is important to us and we would appreciate the opportunity to learn more about your experience. Respectfully, Jessica.

L Dee: Great apartment community. Staff is fabulous. Building is spotless. My unit is huge and my closet is just as big. Love my neighbors- quiet and considerate. Parking is always available. Close to everything. Highly recommend.
Response: Greetings L, Thanks for choosing us and leaving such a great review! It's feedback like yours that reminds us why we do what we do. If you ever need anything please don't hesitate to reach out to our team. See you soon!

DaveXYZ: I moved in December so I haven't fully experience the amenities this property offers, especially outside! But I am enjoying the most beautiful and very unique lifestyle currently in Mission loft. It is a dream apartment, with my amazing view, industrial ceiling and open space. I Can't wait until summer when my wife and I can enjoy the many things you guys offer on the property. Your lovely ladies at the leasing office are probably the best in comparison to any apartment complex I've been to and I know because I work in Property management.
Response: We appreciate you sharing your comments, Davexyz! Our residents' opinions are extremely important to us at Mission Lofts. We have shared your comments with our team. On behalf of all of us at Mission Lofts, thanks for your continued residency! Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any thoughts as to how we can improve our level of service even more.

Veronica Zervan: I spent a lot of time looking at apartments in the area. I decided on Mission Lofts - I really love my new apartment. It is smaller than some of the other ones I have looked at but offers so much more. 24 hour fitness center sold me. I work out early and this is perfect. Excellent equipment. Conference areas to work from or meet clients. lots of little places to sit and read. I am really looking forward to nice weather so I can hang outside on my huge balcony. The move in has been great and everyone is so very nice. I highly recommend this place and I am a difficult person to sell on anything.
Response: Veronica, We are also glad you decided to call Mission Lofts “home.” It’s so awesome to see that the community is meeting all of your needs. Mission Lofts was designed with a unique live/work concept allowing our residents to get most of their needs met in the building…it looks like that is working for you! We look forward to making your life easy during the rest of your lease term. At Mission Lofts any “Mission is Possible!”

The Woodward Building Apartments: what do users think?

Yuhuan Song: I haven't moved in but already can feel their excellent service. The general manager, Mike, and a lady I spoke to on the phone are nice, kind, professional, efficient, responsive, and compassionate. They understand how stressful it is to find a place to live and settle everything down. They offer their best service to make it less stressful. For example, they offered to receive my package before I move in, they attach pictures to show me where to park on my move in day, and the lady on the phone spoke to me twice kindly and gave me useful information. Highly recommended! Added 12/29/2020 - I lived here for a few months and my previous statements still stand. The management and service staff are just a wonderful crew. They are so attentive and responsive. If you need help, they are always there. They are very good at what they’re doing and flexible too! I’ve been having some issues I need help with, and they’ve been working with me rigorously to find solutions. Finding a nice place to live is not about being free of any problem. Nobody can have no problem all their lives. But having professional help there to support your residential experience has been the most valuable for me.
Response: Yuhuan- Thank you very much for your kind review. I have worked with Mike and the rest of the team for many years now and we believe our service is what sets us apart from many other buildings. We look forward to having you as one of our tenants and we hope to continue to make your experience as pleasant as possible.

Becca N: I toured the Woodward apartments back in April 2021 with Michael O., and I was very impressed by the building, services, and most of all the staff’s level of professionalism. It was clear that their Management prioritized making the apartment leasing experience as positive and painless as possible. Although I ended up selecting another apartment that was closer to work, I highly recommend this apartment based on my tour experience.
Response: Thank you for your kind words Becca. We hope you are happy in your new home.

Claire Marshalek: Friendly and helpful concierges. So close to the mall and white house.
Response: Claire- So glad you enjoyed your stay.

Andrew Osborn: The rooms are very nice but the check-in and it process and lack of customer service for billing issues was woeful. Didn't even get a receipt emailed after checkout and forget getting anything resolved.

David Brown: It's nice little apartment for a single person or a couple. Full kitchen and washer & dryer. My only real complaint is the water temperature maybe barely reached 100F in the shower, and I would bet a bit less than that.
Response: Thank you for your review David. We did have our boiler completely reworked so hot water is no longer a problem.

Ladonna Lewis: Had a great stay here. Nice place.
Response: Glad you enjoyed your stay. Please come again.

Angga Andara: Great
Response: Thank you so much for the kind words Angga. We are so glad you enjoyed your time with us.

The Yards Collection - Foundry Lofts: what do users think?

Ebony Ashley: Ms. Green has been a pleasure working for the past five years of me leasing at Property. Not only does she support residents with all concerns, but she’s also kind caring , and a generous individual. I strongly believe that without Ms Green in the office things wouldn’t be the same. Her positive energy can light up a room ,and she makes it her due diligence to respond back to calls emails and inquiries. she’s very informative with all information along with providing residents with resources. She is truly the best five stars!
Response: Hi Ebony, thank you for taking the time and posting a 5 star review for us! Thank you for the feedback about Jeannette, we are fortunate to have Jeannette as part of our team. If there is anything else we can assist with, please let us know. Syed Hassan, General Manager. Syed.Hassan@BrookfieldPropertiesMultifamily.com.

Angela Mcnair: I Have lived at the Yards for several years, my only complaint is how management and maintenance deals with time sensitive issues. You have to call 6 plus times and make several visits to get a response from management... You have to put in several tickets for maintenance before they complete a job, for maintenance ,you better be home to make sure the job is completed before they close out the ticket.
Response: Hi Angela - Thank you for your feedback. We will be working with out maintenance team to increase the speed of completing maintenance work orders.

SWYD DES: We love the apartment and the community! Quiet and the grounds are maintained well and very clean! The office staff is very efficient and friendly! The Manager takes time to listen to any requests and address them right away especially Ms. Jaennette. Her customer service is amazing and I definitely recommend more people to come live here because of her.
Response: Hi SWYD, thank you for taking the time and posting a 5 star review for us! Thank you for your feedback regarding Jeannette, If there is anything else we can assist with, please let us know. Syed Hassan, General Manager. Syed.Hassan@BrookfieldProperiesMultifamily.com

Dasean Mickey: Loved the option of being able to look at 4 different properties at one time. Jaennette Green gave the best tour I’ve had by far! Simply amazing and patient. She listened to my needs and wants. Remembered everything down to my dogs name. Never felt more valued when touring an apartment before.
Response: Hi Dasean, thank you for taking the time and posting a 5 star review for us! Thank you for your feedback regarding Jeanette, she is a valuable asset to our team. If there is anything else we can assist with, please let us know. Syed Hassan, General Manager. Syed.Hassan@BrookfieldProperiesMultifamily.com

Julius Stewart: Don't bother renting if you cant pass the paper bag test. The Leasing office ( Mario) will ignore your maintenance request, when your A/C is broken in the middle of august, but will fix your melanin deficient neighbors the same day. And offer to put in them in the hotel for the inconvenience. When your melanin deficient neighbors make the proverbial complaint about your " hippity hop" music they'll side with them without concern for your tenant rights. All in all stay away from The Yards. They're better choices in navy yard that provide more amenities without the harassment. Edit in response: Thank you for your display of professionalism and providing a keen example. Your response, disseminating a legal proceeding between us is a violation of my right to privacy as a tenant.
Response: Hi Julius, thank you for taking the time and posting a review for us. Management strives to treat everyone equally and fairly. Noise complaints registered against residents once verified are mitigated via courtesy reminders. If left unresolved, management is forced to take legal action to mitigate the issue. I hope our conversation earlier today provided clarity for you with the legal process. If there is anything we can do to assist you with, please let us know. Syed Hassan, General Manager. Syed.Hassan@BrookfieldProperiesMultifamily.com

Camille Milton.: The amenities are lackluster compared to comparable buildings in the area/price range. The gym was filthy and more than half the workout machines were broken. The fixtures in the unit toured were aging and in need of renovation. The shared parking garage experiences frequent break-ins met with little concern from yards management and no steps taken to keep residents safe.
Response: Hi Camille, thank you for taking the time and posting a review for us. We are saddened to hear about experience at Foundry Loft. Please reach out to me personally so I can go over our future plans for the Gym and common area spaces. If there is anything we can do to assist you with, please let us know. Syed Hassan, General Manager. Syed.Hassan@BrookfieldProperiesMultifamily.com

James SMith: I attempted to view the apartment complexes, but was immediately turned off by the attitude of the leasing manager. It may have been because I was "dressed" down. nonetheless I find it unacceptable and couldn't imagine doing business with a company that employs such "Talent"
Response: Hi James, thank you for taking the time and posting a review for us. We are saddened to hear about your experience at Foundry Loft. For clarity I want to make sure you visited 1212 4th St SE, Washington D.C as we operate centrally out of our Yards Collection leasing office. I am unsure who you may have interacted with, our Leasing Manager is assisting a sister community and has not been in the office. I would love the opportunity to retour you personally. If there is anything we can do to assist you with, please let us know. Syed Hassan, General Manager. Syed.Hassan@BrookfieldProperiesMultifamily.com

Hendrik de Zwart: Moved in at the end of September and so far thrilled with the experience. Jimmy Tran was fantastic to deal with through the leasing process and my indecision. Sure, the gym could use a little refresh but overall would recommend this building and especially working with Jimmy!
Response: Hi Hendrik, thank you for taking the time and posting a 5 star review for us! Jimmy is a valuable asset to our team and we love having him here. Thank you for the feedback, we hope to refresh the GYM at Foundry Loft soon, if there is anything else we can assist with, please let us know. Syed Hassan, General Manager. Syed.Hassan@BrookfieldPropertiesMultifamily.com

Vivian Liggins: The Yards is the best place to live. Me and my sister stop by and toured and met with Ms Green she is awesome and she took her time with us and we will be ready to call the yards home soon. Thanks Ms. green see you guys in March
Response: Hi Vivian, thank you for taking the time and posting a 5 star review for us! Thank you for your feedback regarding Jeannette, If there is anything else we can assist with, please let us know. Syed Hassan, General Manager. Syed.Hassan@BrookfieldProperiesMultifamily.com

Dwight Walker: I live here because of Jeanette. What can I say? She is super. She advocated for me and I am still here. She is always kind and professional. She works hard for the Yards and for her residents. She deserves a raise. No more weekends for her. She does too much as it is.
Response: Hi Dwight, thank you for taking the time and posting a 5 star review for us! Thank you for the feedback about Jeannette, we are fortunate to have Jeannette as part of our team. If there is anything else we can assist with, please let us know. Syed Hassan, General Manager. Syed.Hassan@BrookfieldPropertiesMultifamily.com

Crystal City Lofts: what do users think?

Cheryl: This was the worst apt building I've lived in my life. The fire alarms have gone off about 30 times in the almost 2 years I've lived here. One recently went off during the snow storm...The management is horrible. We've been having issues with our neighbor yelling at all hours of the night and they have done nothing about it. The walls are also super thin. The only good things I can say about this place is the maintenance team is quick/responsive and the location is good.
Response: Cheryl, we regret to hear that you had a negative experience with us but would appreciate the chance to turn your experience around. We regret that you aren't satisfied with your experience. We hope you will give us another chance. Please call us at (703) 822-4997 so we can work towards a solution. Thank you and have a great day. Bandar Badrah Property Manager

Tiffany Jones: The maintenance team at Crystal City Lofts always delivers high-quality service. Thomas and Berhanu have excellent communication skills and always ensure my needs are met. I am very appreciative of their prompt assistance. They are a great asset to our community. Thank you!
Response: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Crystal City Lofts. For us, it's all about anticipating and responding to the things that matter most to you. And we are delighted that you are happy with our service at Crystal City Lofts. We look forward to serving you for many years to come. Sincerely, Bandar Badrah, Property Manager

Cate Mathews: Update :Major construction to the roof and parking garage, planned to continue through July. Very loud all day, not livable. Dweck properties waited until the last minute to announce the long planned construction, waiting to fill as many empty apartments as possible, and ignoring all complaints from current residents. I would not do business with Dweck Properties again. It should be illegal to make people live under these conditions. Management is useless after the lease is signed. I've had 2 packages stolen and my car was vandalized in the parking garage. They did not know how to access the video from the camera in the mail room and there are no cameras in the garage. Lighting is very poor in the parking garage, so its not a safe place. Planes start taking off around 6am, so unless your an early riser, may not be the best location. Trains run all night. It's not possible to leave the windows open, day or night. I suggest viewing the carpet with a UV light, looks are deceiving. Appliances are poor quality. Turn over is constant with tenants and management. The fire alarms go off constantly, day and night. Had to go outside about 11pm while it was snowing.
Response: Cate Mathews, we regret to hear that you had a negative experience with us, but would appreciate the chance to turn your experience around. Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we can improve. We hope you will consider us again in the future. Take care.

Josh V: tl;dr: (1) extremely loud construction occurs any day between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM (2) fire alarm testing occurs once per month, which is concerning because another Dweck property recently had a major fire (3) management is uncommunicative and charges high fees. Crystal City Lofts was an ok place to live until new management took over in January 2022. Since then, the property has gone downhill. As mentioned in other reviews, extremely loud construction occurs nearly every day, anytime between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Management informed residents about the construction 4 days before starting it. They also did not inform residents until the morning construction started that cars needed to be relocated for construction. They gave residents two hours to move their cars and then towed cars that were in the way. They also did not inform residents that access to bike racks and storage units, which residents pay for, would be unavailable during construction. The fire alarms are tested an average of once per month, and always during the workday. The frequent testing is annoying, but is also concerning because another Dweck property had a fire just a few months ago that displaced multiple residents (Google "The Buchanan apartment fire to read about it). Management has not communicated to residents why the fire alarms need to be tested so frequently. The building also finds ways to make money any way it can. For example, renting the lounge costs residents $85 *per hour*. Many other reviewers have also posted about being charged very high move-out fees. The positives of Crystal City Lofts are that maintenance is responsive and the leasing agents were friendly upon move-in. I have already contacted mgmt about these issues, but I have not seen improvement. To improve this rating, management should (1) send an email to residents informing them why fire alarm testing is occurring so frequently, and test the alarms at a particular time of day, rather than giving a 10-hour window; (2) send a weekly email informing residents of the hours construction will be occurring, and on what areas of the building. Additionally, limit hours of construction from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM M-F as was originally promised; (3) change policies regarding fees for lounge rental; and (4) offer residents alternative bike/storage areas due to the impact of construction, or offer a discount.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. We are so sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience and would like to get a better understanding of how we can improve. Please give us a call at (703) 822.4997. We look forward to making this right for you. Respectfully, Bandar Badrah, Property Manager

Sean G: DONT RENT FROM HERE they will SCAM you for $$$!!! They automatically renewed my lease at the month-month rate without notice or authorization. Also, the building is Super noisy (constant train and airport noise at all hours- you can’t keep your window open at all). Even worse; management is unresponsive to any maintenance requests, have fire alarms at ALL HOURS AND screw you on renewal terms ($700/month rent increase to renew). Would never live in another DWECK managed property!!!!
Response: Hi Sean G, thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent experience. We are disappointed to hear that you are not satisfied with your visit. Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we can improve. We hope you will consider us again in the future. Take care.

Dave Crowell: Crystal City Lofts staff made the entire process stress free. From providing videos and photos of units aiding in selection to actual move in date and staying after hours to turn over keys, the staff went above and beyond.
Response: Dear Dave Crowell, You made our day! We do our best to truly deliver a five star living experience, and we are delighted to see your feedback about living at Crystal City Lofts. We look forward to serving you for many years to come. With appreciation, (Bandar Badrah, Property Manager)

Ashley Barbour: I recently came by with a friend to view this place. Pretty nice if you ask me! The property Manager Bandar was nice and very pleasant! I recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the Arlington area.
Response: Thank you for visiting us at Crystal City Lofts. We are delighted that you had a good experience during your tour, and we hope you decide to make Crystal City Lofts your home very soon. Please let us know If you have any other questions; we are open seven days a week to assist you. Feel free to call us at (703) 822.4997 or email leasing@crystalcitylofts.com. It will be our pleasure to have you as our newest resident. Very best, Bandar Badrah, Property Manager

Jennifer Valerdi: The community and staff are one of the best in crystal city!Thank you Bandar for your fast and professional service! 100% recommended to move here!!
Response: Hi Jennifer Valerdi, we are very happy to have provided you with such a positive experience! If you ever need anything else from us, please feel free to give us a call or stop by. Have an awesome day! Sincerely, Property Manager Bandar Badrah

Carl W: Lived here for a year, would have moved out faster if we were able to find a sublease. To start, there was a roach infestation that they did their best to sweep under the rug after trying to say it was our own fault. Extremely thin walls, and you can almost always hear other neighbors conversations + tv. The moving out process was also so terrible it’s almost laughable. Management refused to reserve us the elevator and loading area despite us booking a reservation 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE. then months after we move out we also get charged $170 for carpet cleaning despite the fact that we paid a company to clean all of the carpets literally THE SAME DAY that we moved out. Unless you enjoy having no comfort and getting scammed, don’t live here.
Response: Carl W, We regret to hear that you had a negative experience with us, but would appreciate the chance to turn your experience around. Please give us a call at 703-822-4997 and we will be more than happy to discuss your experience and go over your move out charges. Best, Martin Peña Property Manager

Helena Wu: We lived here for three years and overall enjoyed our stay but sometimes it did get loud from the train and airplanes. We also had a terrible move out experience. We were charged for so many things (damaged blinds, painting, cleaning fee, etc.) that was completely unreasonable and added up to almost $1000!!! Management is also not the most responsive/cooperative. Maintenance was good but things in our apartment kept breaking as well (patio door, lights, etc.) If it weren’t for our terrible moving out experience, I would have given a higher rating but our move out experience left a bad taste in our mouth after an overall decent experience.
Response: Hi Helena, We are truly sorry to hear of your disappointment. Our goal at Crystal City Lofts is the comfort and peace of mind of our residents current and past, and your feedback is valued as we continually try to enhance our community. We only charge for the damages that have been accrued by a resident when they move out. We take pictures at the move out inspection that support the charges and make sure that we charge accurately for the damages. Should you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 703-822-4997. Best, Martin Peña Property Manager

Lofts 14 Condominium: what do users think?

Brittney Justice: Have lived here for two years now. It is a decent place to live for DC. However, the biggest problem is the attitude of certain residents. Specifically, the owners of unit #121. If you live near them, you are out of luck. They complain about everything, watch everything you do, and target renters. Anytime someone is standing outside of the complex on the street, they will come out, cross their arms, and stare you down as if you don't belong. I've lived here two years, pay $4k a month, but simply cannot take the arrogance and elistism of these residents. Avoid units near this one.

20 20 Lofts: what do users think?

A Hardin: I rented here for a couple years. The apartment, building, and tenants are nice. And in fact I was very close to considering purchasing property here. However, due to the dysfunctional, unresponsive, and incredibly rude building manager, 2020 is not a good place to live. I would highly recommend against 2020, particularly if you are renting as you will be treated like a second class citizen.

Cliff Mckenzie: Great place to live

Lofts 590 Apartments: what do users think?

Catrisse McDowell: Pros: - Friendly concierge and maintenance staff! (Love them, truly.) - Location is good for those with no cars ... easily a walking/biking area (close to mall and shopping centers, Target, Harris Teeter, Costco, eateries, Crystal City, hotels, new Amazon HQ, equidistant to 2 metros, plenty of bus stops) ... however because of these attractions this means the traffic in this area is crazy currently and will probably get worse with time. Things to consider (Middle-Ground): - The option to have garage parking ($125 monthly) or outdoor ($75) - The price of rent may be affordable ... but it's only because the inside of the place is really dated. - No pet weight limit so you never know who might be living beside or above you and the noise their dogs make - The pool is shared between the other surrounding buildings. Cons: - CONSTRUCTION NOISE!!! - WINDOWS NEVER SHUT FULLY - be prepared for cold winters and hot summers. - TINY SPIDERS (not poisonous) EVERYWHERE IN THE UNITS ... probably because of the window issues. - THIS IS NOT A MODERN APARTMENT COMPLEX. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS APARTMENT SCREAMS 2007 (yes ... the "granite countertops", stainless steel appliances, carpeting, flooring, cabinets, washer and dryers, closet doors, tile in bathrooms, light fixtures, etc) - Visitor parking is SCARCE and you have to pay daily for visitors. - Haven't' had the most positive experiences with the office staff. - THE UNITS ARE PAPER THIN (invest in good ear plugs or headphones) - It's going to be dark in your apartment. So if you're a natural sunlight person ... choose elsewhere. - Noisy dogs/dog poop in the community - FREQUENT trash smell in hallways - THE GYM (AKA THE SWEAT CLOSET) IS BASICALLY 1 WORKING TREADMILL AND A WEIGHT RACK. 2 people is really a crowd. Summary: Significantly more cons than pros. The location tries to make up for the dated units and lackluster amenities. If you are okay with sacrificing the quality of your space for this location - do you! If you simply need a place to lay your head at night -- I guess this is fine. (No guarantees that you will sleep peacefully in this area though.) If I knew what I know now ... I would've made a different housing choice. The rent will go up annually to "stay with the current market trends", yet the apartments will continue to "stay with the trends from the 2000s".
Response: Hi, Catrisse. Thank you for your balanced review and candid feedback. We are pleased to hear that you enjoy our convenient location and working with our team. We're always looking for ways to improve and your perspective is incredibly valuable to us. We also want to create an environment that's welcoming, comfortable, and one that our residents are proud to call home. This includes addressing service needs or pest concerns as quickly as possible, investigating noise concerns appropriately, and more. We have policies and processes in place but we are always open to adjusting those to better serve and accommodate our residents. We'd be more than happy to discuss any of these with you and how we can further improve the experience here. Please feel free to reach out to us directly at any time. Thank you for the feedback and for choosing to live with us.

Bradley Gardner: If you want to pay 3k per month for a terrible apartment in a great location, this is the place for you. Sure, the concierge and staff are nice, the loft style layout is pretty awesome, you can walk to Crystal City and Pentagon City within a few minutes, but at the same time the building is falling apart and management seems to be unable or unwilling to make repairs. I moved into my first apartment here in 2018 and although it took me a while to realize, the building is falling apart. Elevators are regularly out of order for maintenance, water is leaking from the hallway ceilings, staff is constantly changing, oh, and our apartment hasn't had air conditioning for 9 days! At least this is only the fourth time this summer the a/c has stopped working... You would think having a tenant living in an 84 degree apartment would be a priority but the contractor still hasn't made it here for repairs. At this point you might be wondering to yourself, "what are they doing with all the money they save by not doing repairs and maintenance? The exterior of the building must be exquisite!" Unfortunately I must inform you that is not the case. The grass at the Fern St. entrance is so long right now that I temporarily lost my dog in there and I don't know how they did it but somehow every single light bulb in the exterior lamps is mismatched. I honestly didn't know light bulbs came in such a variety. I do have a lot of great memories of my time at Lofts 590 but as I'm typing I'm realizing it's all specific to the location of the property and not my apartment or the building itself. There are plenty of other apartments in the area and if you're currently looking for a new place to live, do yourself a favor and skip this one.
Response: Hi, Bradley. Thanks so much for sharing your honest review. We are glad that you felt the layout of your home was well done and that the team always delivered friendly service. It's something we always strive to provide our residents and we're pleased that their efforts resonate with you. We would also like to thank you for your feedback and criticisms. Ensuring that our residents are comfortable in their homes is incredibly important to us. We recognize that the air conditioning troubles were both frustrating and inconvenient. We have, unfortunately, experienced significant delays in part deliveries and the team has provided portable devices in the interim. We are actively seeking assistance from additional vendors and exploring alternative solutions to fully resolve this matter. We did experience water intrusion during a heavy storm and minor elevator issues this past summer. We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we fully resolved these situations. The team is in the process of replacing the exterior lightbulbs and will investigate any landscaping concerns. We are always looking for ways to improve and will use your comments to better serve our community. Thank you again for your review.

Taylor Phillips: I loved living at lofts. My apartment was clean. I never saw a single bug (or other critter) anywhere and I lived there for 3 years. Only reason I left was because I moved out of the state or I would've stayed longer. My apartment was on the 4th floor facing the pool and i didnt notice the construction noise at all. I loved the team they are so nice and helpful. I had a few maintenence things over the year and they fixed me right up. Thanks guys! Someone move into my apartment!!!!
Response: Hi, Taylor. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us! We appreciate it! It was a pleasure to have you as a member of the Lofts 590 community and we wish you the absolute best in your future endeavors.

Lauren Perlik: I’ve lived at Loft590 for about a year now. The front desk associates are always very friendly, organized, and happy to chat. The building managers are also great and are very fast to respond and always super helpful! I’ve always been appreciative of the small things the staff go out of their way to do like printing something if the business center is out of ink or just searching for some extra milk bones for dogs after the come in from their walk! The building itself is very clean, maintenance is always done in a timely manner, and the apartments are very clean. I’ve loved living here and I’m only moving because I’m transitioning to a studio apartment. I’d definitely recommend Loft 590 if you’re looking for affordable living in a quiet neighborhood!
Response: Thank you for sharing this with us, Lauren! We're thrilled to hear that you have enjoyed living with us at Lofts 590 Apartments. It's been a pleasure to have you part of our community!

Justin M: Lofts 590 started off on such a good foot with me, but at the end it started to just slowly get worse. Pros: The concierge(s) are top caliber and always willing to go the extra mile. Maintenance is fast and hard working! The leasing office staff has changed out over the last 6-9 months and it’s not quite the same as it used to be. There have also been a lot more sanitary issues with spills in the stairwells and by the doors. The biggest reason I’m moving is due to the company wanting to charge me more to live here, but list my place for 300 less to a new resident. Sorry, I don’t love this place that much to pay you more for getting the same (really it’s less than previously)…
Response: Thank you for sharing your candid feedback, Justin. The team works hard to keep our community a place that you are proud to call home and your kind words are greatly appreciated! While we are glad to hear you are enjoyed living with us, we regret that your move-out experience may have dampened your trust in us and our commitment to the highest standards. Regarding renewal rates, they are often influenced by factors that include availability and market trends. However, we strive to be as transparent, fair, and competitive as possible. We would have been happy to continue working with you and apologize that we may have missed the opportunity to do so. Please know that our team remains available to you should you have any questions or wish to discuss any experiences further. It's was a pleasure to have you as a member of our community and we wish you the very best.

Ben Nace: Me and my dog Fenway loved living here. The staff was super friendly and responsive. All repairs were done within 12 hours of submitting. The location is great and has lots of shops and food within walking distance but also quiet in the evenings after work. The only downside was the gym was a bit small, but there are a lot of great parks and bike paths extremely close and that kept me active. I recommend to anyone looking to live in Pentagon/Crystal city.
Response: We’re delighted that you had such a great time with us, Ben! It’s great to hear that you and Fenway enjoyed all that Lofts 590 Apartments has to offer, and we appreciate your kind words for our team.

Devin Davis: I've been here at Lofts 590 for about 4 months now and I love it. Relocating across country for work is never easy, but I want to say that Sarah made the move so much better. Like you I made my decision based off of so many reviews online I read for so many apartments in the area and was scared by the nightmare stories that seem to plague any number of the apartment complexes in the area. With Lofts I was pleasantly surprised! From the appearance of the apartment, the convenience of location (seriously, this is a commuters dream) to the safety and quiet of the neighborhood, this place cannot be beat! The front desk are courteous and friendly and always here to help, Sarah and Gideon do their absolute best to ensure tenets are beyond satisfied and I honestly don't think there's a better apartment complex in the area for the price you'll pay here. I already know and plan to upgrade to another apartment h(inside loft) soon. If you want clean, quiet, and affordable, with the ability to zip into DC, explore Arlington or head south to get away for a weekend this is the place you want to live! Update: I have since moved away from Loft 590 after spending 1 year in their building in a nice studio apartment. My time at Lofts was fantastic. The staff Sarah, Gideon, Lisa and Negesette have all been phenomenal people and extremely accommodating. The move-out process is always worrisome and can be a burdensome for most. This was not the case at lofts. the move-out process was simple and fair and I was treated right. Had it not been for outside circumstances I would have continued leasing at lofts 590 and I encourage anyone interested in living in the Pentagon City/Crystal city area to do to the same. Thank you for a wonderful time calling lofts my home!
Response: We are thrilled to have earned your positive feedback! Our team strives to provide the very best in customer service and to make Lofts 590 Apartments a place that all of our residents are proud to call home. Thank you so much for taking the time to share this review with us!

Brenna Thorpe: My boyfriend and I have lived here for almost 10 months now and just renewed for another year - it's been a great experience! Re: the community, we've really enjoyed the 24 hr. concierge, maintenance, and front office staff - always very responsive. Re: our unit, there are nice high ceilings on the 1st and 4th floors, all of the appliances and plumbing have worked great, and we have bonus storage in a balcony closet that is a lifesaver. The courtyard between this building and Crystal Towers has a great grill/picnic area that we use frequently. Only issue we've had is sound carrying down (thumping of kids playing/jumping) from the unit above us, but it's only intermittent. It's also a great building/location to have a dog! Highly recommend.
Response: Thank you, Brenna! We're thrilled to hear that you are loving life at Lofts 590 Apartments. Please let us know if we can be of any assistance to you, regarding noise or any other concerns. Thanks again!

Bryan: I've lived here for about 4 years and I love to call this place my home. I've never had a problem that management wasn't able to resolve but I'm also not one of those needy tenants that expects the world to stop for my every need. Sarah, the new property manager is great and really cares about your experience. By the way, I love the concierge staff. I'm pretty sure Lisa and Nagaset are two of the nicest people in the entire world. Pups are treated like residents!!! 14/10

Taylor Townshend: We loved our past year at Lofts 590 - the front desk, management and maintenance staff were always so kind and accommodating! The ONLY reason I am not giving a 5 star review is due to our move out experience. We lived there for 1 year and when asked if we wanted to use their "Easy Move Out" option ($225) we opted not to, as we knew a trusted cleaner who could professionally clean. Not to mention that there were no carpet stains, no large holes in the walls, no scratches on the floor etc. A week later we were charged over $300 for "painting and cleaning" stating that we did not leave the apartment in "Move in Condition" for the next renters. In our opinion, the painting at least should have been taken care of by the building - especially since we did not have access to the right [paint colors etc. While I believe this is a corporate flaw (Equity) and not specifically Lofts, I wanted to make anyone aware that was joining/leaving the community.
Response: Thanks so much for sharing your positive feedback with us, Taylor. We want our residents to feel comfortable sharing good or bad news with us as we are always looking for ways to improve our residents' experience. Please know that our team remains available to you should you have any questions regarding the move out process. Thanks again!

The Yards Collection: what do users think?

Gina Celata: I have been living at the Guild for almost 2 years now and have thoroughly enjoyed my time here in Navy Yard. The location is really nice since it is right by the water, shops, and restaurants so when family or friends visit, there is always something to do. Mario, the Assistant Property Manager, gave me a tour and assisted me through the leasing process in which he was very helpful and answered any questions I had. He still periodically check-ins to see how I am enjoying my stay even after all this time and I really appreciate that. I also want to give a shoutout to Pam, she is so thoughtful and I love stopping by the concierge desk to chat with her. Lastly, I want to shoutout the maintenance staff who are very responsive to any requests I have put in thus far.
Response: Hi Gina, thank you for taking the time and posting a 5 star review for us! Thank you for the feedback about Mario, Pam and the Maintenance team. If there is anything else we can assist with, please let us know. Syed Hassan, General Manager. Syed.Hassan@BrookfieldPropertiesMultifamily.com.

Joseph Ricciardi: Stay away! After you sign your lease you are all but forgotten. Zero interest in retaining customers or delivering 'post sale' service. Leasing agents do not understand the lease and hide behind 'fair housing' to cover up their ineptitude.
Response: Hi Joseph, thank you for taking the time and posting a review for us. I apologize if there was any miscommunication regarding the Military clause in your lease, happy to review this information with you and provide clarity. The clause is for exiting the lease and not applicable in situations of transfers. The Grills were replaced as scheduled on 5/13/2022 for our residents and the fire pit is also in working order. The 2 broken glass panel have been temporarily secured while the new glass is fabricated and installed. We understand things happen and management is always on standby to make the necessary repairs and upgrades. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me directly. Syed Hassan, General Manager. Syed.Hassan@BrookfieldPropertiesMultifamily.com

AB: I enjoy living at the Guild. With an amazing water view + great location, my loft is everything I’ve always wanted (and it’s pretty big for a DC apartment)! On top of that, the assistant manager, Mario is so great! He’s always so helpful and attentive to my needs, which makes my experience even better.

Arnold Williams: my girlfriend and I was looking for apt and ran across Guild beautiful building and amazing leasing agent Ms Green she knows her job an she is amazing woman. We love all the view from the rooftop great places to call home. If you are looking for a new place check out the yards and ask for MsGreen
Response: Hi Arnold, thank you for taking the time and posting a 5 star review for us! Thank you for your feedback regarding Jeannette, If there is anything else we can assist with, please let us know. Syed Hassan, General Manager. Syed.Hassan@BrookfieldProperiesMultifamily.com

Kenny Drew: I toured these apartments with the manager Mario and he was extremely knowledgeable about the wants and needs of anyone looking to move not only into the apartments but the area as well. He showed me multiple apartments along with a run down of all the amenities that made the apartments stand out amongst the rest in the area to help me fill more at ease about my decision.
Response: Hi Kenny, thank you for taking the time and posting a 5 star review for us! Mario is a valuable asset to our team and we love having him here. Thank you for the feedback, if there is anything else we can assist with, please let us know. Syed Hassan, General Manager. Syed.Hassan@Brookfield PropertiesMultifamily.com

Eric Christopher: Moved into the Guild in late March. The leasing manager, Mahamudur, personally toured apartments with me, supported me throughout my leasing process, and has answered my emails promptly when I’ve had questions. ALL members of Concierge team are awesome! Andre and Pam know your name and are always accommodating. Mark manages maintenance and has addressed my two (very minor) apt needs quickly and efficiently. The second floor dog park is an awesome amenity! Quality of life here has been good so far for me. Love living close to restaurants, grocery store, etc.

Tonya G: Surprised to see the negative reviews; this is far from the experience I have had after 10 months at Guild. I’ve lived in other luxury buildings in DC, and this is the best experience I’ve had by far. I had a very smooth move-in and both management and concierge followed up to ensure I was comfortable and everything was to my liking. All maintenance requests have been addressed within 24 hours. When my key fob stopped working, several employees were all over it to ensure it was fixed ASAP. The cleaning and maintenance I have encountered have been nothing but friendly and helpful. Concierge takes the time to get to know the residents and go out of their way to do what they can to make your life easier (shout out to Andre!) The building itself is quite new and modern. Sure it doesn’t have a gym or pool, but you can get these amenities with a membership at VIDA next door. My rent plus a VIDA membership is less than I was paying at my last building, and VIDA gym and pool far surpass anything you can get at any other building in the area. My unit is amazing. This building is one of the few “luxury” buildings that doesn’t appear to have been rushed through construction. Everything is top notch quality. Despite floor to ceiling windows, noise from outside is very minimal. And unlike many newer buildings, I cannot hear my neighbors. Like at all. If I hadn’t met them I would’ve thought the units were empty. Having real walls has been a total game changer, especially when working from home. TLDR; give this place a tour and decide for yourself.

Alyssa Flores: Run from this place. I normally do not read reviews as I believe everyone's experience is different and I will form my own opinion. However, the gross incompetence of the management staff here is unbelievable. If you think about living here - let me prepare you for reality. The apartment itself, designed well, concierges are very friendly, cleaning staff is great - God forbid if you need anything from management. I paid rent on time and every month - they turned off the second fob to my apartment (my fiance's keys) and it took 4 months of both in person and emails in order for this to be resolved. We lived in apartment 205 - which is directly above Maxwell and their subwoofer. We were told it's city noise vibrating our apartment at night and WE can call the police if it was bothering us, instead of Brookfield addressing it directly. There were several parties on the roof of well over 50 people during COVID. If you tried calling security - you were told they do not enter the building - only to assist with lockouts. Additionally, Mario said security is not there to protect residents in any manner and it was our choice to live in a neighborhood that borders Anacostia. The unbelievable ignorance in that statement alone. Save all of your tenant statements and lease documents because they will blame a previous staff member for why they can't issue you your security deposit due to clerical errors. To put it plainly, it's a shame Brookfield doesn't take more pride in their staff or care about the properties they manage. At the end of the day, you're not a resident, just a means of generating money.

Erin DeVivies: Don't move here-- they'll offer you a move-in special that they don't intend to honor & then the leasing office will ignore you . I chose to lease my apartment under the pretense that the first full month's rent would be free, and that my amenity fee would be waived due to my active duty military status, as advertised on the website and by my leasing agent. Sometime during my move-in process, my leasing agent quit and no one informed me or followed up with me; my welcome experience to Guild was a text from my (former) agent telling me to pick up my house key from the concierge at Twelve12 on my move-in day. When I noticed in my rental portal that I had been charged the amenity fee and the full month's rent, I immediately called and emailed my agent to try to get it sorted out. Of course I got no response since he had left the company and no one had bothered to follow up with his clients. It took multiple messages in the online portal and complaining about my issues in my move-in survey to finally get a response from leasing management. After explaining my issues, the leasing manager ensured me that I would be credited my amenity fee because of my mil status, but that my move-in deal had somehow changed from first full month rent free (~$2500 off), to $500 off, yet I was never informed of that. When I pressed her for details about when exactly the deal changed since I applied and was approved within 24 hours of touring (where I was informed of the deal in person, and read the deal on the website), she had no answers for me and said she would "do the full research and get back to me tomorrow." Surprise, I never got a response from her again despite multiple follow-up emails. When the new leasing manager took over, I reached out to him concerning my same issues that had been left hanging. When he still had the chance to convince me to renew my lease, he was very responsive and appeared eager to clear up my leasing issues. However, once I sent my notice not to renew, he stopped following up on our email chains and it once again took multiple emails over several days to elicit any response. I asked several times for the regional manager's contact info so that I could work with them, and each time I would get a quick response with an explanation/excuse for the delay & my request for contact info conveniently ignored. I would get one or two replies then conveniently he would just stop responding until I repeated the cycle. Attempts to communicate with management in this complex are some of the most exhausting experiences I have ever dealt with. It'll be a year for me here next month, and I still haven't been credited for my amenity fee (after being assured I would 3 times), much less my move-in deal. My entire leasing experience has felt like a deceptive business practice and false advertising. On top of that, most nights when I come home to my "smoke free" building, the elevators & my entire apartment smell so strongly of weed or cigarette smoke. The vents in the bathrooms pump whatever scents your neighbors are producing (smoke, bacon, cookies, etc) straight into your space to the point where it's nauseating. Also, It took months of complaints by multiple residents and numerous excuses and delays by management before any of us got our mail keys. Not to mention the non-stop construction under the west tower that literally had their apartments shaking. Visually, this apartment has been beautiful-- and the maintenance & cleaning staff have been incredibly prompt and extremely professional. I wanted to love living here, but the blatant lack of care by management for tenant issues is what ultimately drove me not to renew my lease. I wouldn't recommend this building to anyone; especially not active duty military-- they'll play you live a fiddle and laugh all the way to the bank. I originally felt like the move-in deal made up for the steep pricing and lack of amenities compared to other buildings in the area (pool, gym), but the joke was on me as I'm now out ~$3k that I was told I wouldn't have to pay.

Mona Davis: I love Ms. Jeanette GreenShe has a beautiful spirit, and she is always very polite. Jeanette is very resourceful and she always makes my experience very comfortable when I come in the office to pay my rent. ❤️
Response: Hi Mona, thank you for taking the time and posting a 5 star review for us! Thank you for the feedback about Jeannette, we are fortunate to have Jeannette as part of our team. If there is anything else we can assist with, please let us know. Syed Hassan, General Manager. Syed.Hassan@BrookfieldPropertiesMultifamily.com

The 925 Apartments: what do users think?

Victoria H: Extremely disappointed. Zabida the leasing officer made it awful. I am moving out after a year and could not be happier. Zabida never did her job and made living there miserable. I sent in multiple complaints and the offices never resolved the issue. These apartments do not care about you. Do not rent from them.
Response: Victoria, while we appreciate all the feedback we do receive, we are very disheartened by yours and how you feel about our team. We can assure you that our team does indeed care about each of our residents and their needs. We welcome you to reach out to our office to discuss this and how we can change your perception moving forward. - The Team at The 925 Apartments

Bradley Mills: BEWARE. The renovated, 1-bedroom apartments are very nice, with hardwood floors and modern amenities. However, while the 925 Apartments offers great value and the staff is friendly, the leasing agents are HORRIBLE and will RIP YOU OFF. Before I moved in, the old leasing manager, Amber, told me they required a security deposit, even though I had a guarantor on the application. Their policy is that they do NOT require a security deposit if there is a guarantor on the application. Amber has since been fired for her incompetence. The new leasing manager, Zabida, is no better. The 925 Apartments has yet to return my money after nearly THREE months. Turns out, they made an error in processing my security deposit. Instead of charging me for the deposit and putting the money in escrow like they were supposed to, they used it for rent. This happened even though I was supposed to receive one month of rent for free, which they did not honor despite it being written in my lease contract. All this time, Zabida has acted totally aloof by not returning any of my calls or keeping me updated. I have had to jump through hoops just to get in contact with her. I feel as though she has been waiting for me to forget so she doesn’t have to deal with me anymore. She should really be fired. STAY AWAY from the 925 Apartments. Leasing agents are careless, lazy, and unprofessional.
Response: Hi, Bradley. We're very sorry for any frustration or inconvenience you've experienced, as that was certainly not our intention. We're more than happy to clarify for you, and ask that you give us a call at (202) 342-7800 when you have the time. Thank you. - The Team at 925 Apartments

Balint szoke: Fantastic place, reasonable rent, and very close to George Washington University and downtown DC. I highly recommend it.

e-lofts: what do users think?

Kittrell Shyhiem Henderson: Martin was excellent and very detailed on the final walkthrough. He gave me some pointers for future moving which he didn’t have to do. Even with the change over in staff my overall experience was amazing and they addressed my concerns as quickly as possible. If I relocated to the area again, I would definitely look to stay here again. Keep up the great work E-lofts!
Response: Hello Kittrell, Thanks for the great review! We're thrilled that you had a 5-star experience at our location. We look forward to providing you with more great experiences in the near future. Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Jacqueline Santos: My husband and I just moved in March. We never received all our information re: the welcome package. Usually includes your mailbox number, access to different areas of the building, package room, etc.. We’re still waiting on that. Apparently you need an app to reserve the amenity rooms downstairs, still don’t have access to that after asking numerous times. I finally caught someone in the leasing office and I was told that they are unable to assist with that. My apartment is beautiful and I’m very happy with it. My husband and I were very excited to move into our unit and I’m so disappointed. It makes me think we made a mistake. My complaints are mostly for the management of the building and how no one cares. The package room is a total s*** show and it takes patience to find your things.
Response: Jacqueline, Thank you for letting us know about your recent experience. We are truly disappointed we did not meet your expectations. We are a new team, and we want to make your experience better! In order to learn more about what happened we would appreciate if you reached out to us at your earliest convenience. Respectfully, Monica Rodriguez Property Manager

Rahshaun Black: I lived in this apartment for 2 years until 2019 and enjoyed my stay. I have been in the process of trying to move back but because of the popularity it’s been a wait. Cindy took me on a couple of tours of units after I listed my preferences and has been in communication with me over the last few months giving me updates on potential leases. Very professional in her assistance, I was easily able to explain my expectations in finding a unit to lease. Ms Tombini has been such a great help, definitely one of the best employees I’ve come across at the E-lofts.
Response: Hey Rahshaun, Thanks for the kind words! We truly appreciate your recommendation of Cindy and will work hard to continue going above and beyond! We look forward to serving you many more times in the future! See you soon! Sincerely, Jon Formella Senior Property Manager

Greg “Epsidufus” Mc: As of this review I've live here for almost a year. Initially, the management was pretty nice and our move in was pleasant. More recently we decided to downsize to a 1 bedroom. The new management has been absolutely phenomenal. They helped us and checked up on us every step of the way. The assistant property manager Cindy in the office specifically kept up on every maintenance request and has consistently made sure that every request or question we've had has been answered or followed up on. We moved to E-Lofts to escape terrible management, and we've found management that we couldn't beat if we tried.
Response: Hello Greg, Thanks for the kind words! We truly appreciate your recommendation of e-Lofts and will work hard to continue going above and beyond! If you ever need anything please don't hesitate to reach out to our team. We're here for you anytime! Sincerely, Jon Formella Senior Property Manager

Pamela Moore: Omg, let me just say I don't receive too many great experiences when I'm looking for a new place to live. But, this one was exceptional. My leasing agent was Angel. She definitely did her thing. She was very informative, warm, inviting, and knowledgeable. The amenities that come with this property are phenomenal. The apartments sell themselves , but it added a great touch to have Angel assisting me today.
Response: Dear Pamela, Thanks for the great review! It's great to know that we were able to provide you with the highest levels of service. We look forward to serving you many more times in the future! We're here for you anytime!

Michael Anderson: My experience with Cindy Tombini was amazing. Apartment hunting can be a pain, but I must admit this particular scenario went the smoothest. Excellent customer service, swift responsiveness, with an welcoming attitude. The complex is great and the staff makes you feel more like a guest than a Customer, I was sold at representation! I recommend 5 Stars!
Response: Greetings Michael, Thanks so much for taking the time to share your positive experience! It is truly touching to know you think so highly of us! We hope to continue exceeding your expectations with 5 star service. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Nicholas Woolery: e-lofts was the first apartment I toured several weekends ago of many for a relocation move to Alexandria. The entire leasing team provided excellent service as far as finding a best-fit unit for me and showing me a tour of the beautiful building, and ensured a very timely and smooth move-in process. Yasmine was professional in her communications and gave timely updates and helpful tips for a solid move-in. Can't wait to start my residency!
Response: Hello Nicholas, Thank you for the awesome feedback. It's feedback like yours that reminds us why we do what we do. We truly value your recommendation, and are confident we can continue to provide excellent service in the future. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

James Lee: My wife and I tried to rent a unit here but we were never given the chance. We scheduled a virtual tour b/c we live in a different city and the leasing agent didn't call us at the scheduled time, so we had to call. The tour went fine, but the leasing agent couldn't answer a number of our questions. She said she would follow up with answers and how to apply. It has been 3 days and we haven't heard anything. We called the office repeatedly and e-mailed, but still haven't heard back. We initially wanted to rush to sign b/c we knew prices could fluctuate, but the agent assured us that the price would stay the same all week. Since 3 days ago, the price of the units have gone up $250. This is near the worst level of customer service we've received. It seems like they didn't even want us to sign.
Response: Hi James, We appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention. We pride ourselves on maintaining the highest quality standards for our customers but we didn't measure up. Please call us at +1 571-302-5300 or send an email to pm.eLofts@avenue5apt.com at your earliest convenience. Sincerely, Monica Rodriguez

Veneisy Andrade: Yasmine has been an absolute delight to work with throughout out our move out process. Due to a new job position needing me to relocate within months, Yasmine was able to answer all our questions, concerns, and help us throughout our lease transfer to a new tenant. Moving into this building to begin was was extremely easy and efficient with the leasing offices staff ready to always help. Throughout our stay, I cannot think of one bad thing to say as maintenance is quick to fix any issue, the amenities are always clean and organized, and the work from home stations are a life saver and super quiet to do zoom meetings. Overall, our experience here has been amazing to say the least and I wish we could've finished off our lease but I am so grateful for Yasmine for being super responsive and making every bit of this move-out the smoothest I've ever encountered. Thank you!
Response: Veneisy, Thanks so much for taking the time to share your positive experience! It's great to know that we were able to provide you with the highest levels of service. As always, our team is looking forward to your next visit. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Daniel Martinez: My girlfriend and I lived at eLofts for about 3 years. Absolutely loved it but wish they had a pool. After 3 years we decided it was time to make a change and quickly did we regret it. Being here for many years we have seen changes in management and staff but we were most delighted in working with the assistant property manager Cindy. She was always happy and attentive to help with any issues that came up and was also quick to address everything unlike other experiences. We currently are looking to break our current lease eLofts will is back at the top of our list. Assuming these changes fall thru we look forward to working with Cindy.
Response: Greetings Daniel, We are grateful and appreciate the time you took to leave your review. We truly value your recommendation, and are confident we can continue to provide excellent service in the future. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Sincerely, Jon Formella Senior Property Manager

Whyle Furnished Apartments: what do users think?

Sonia Khan: I spent three months at Whyle and can highly recommend the building to others. Gorgeous views, great facilities, and super convenient location for a short stay in the city, i.e. whole foods, core power yoga, and nail salon right below the building. Shannon and team went out of their way to ensure I had a comfortable stay during a hybrid work environment. Thank you!!
Response: Thank you Sonia! I am glad you chose to make Whyle home while you were here. We would love to have you back if you are ever in DC again.

William Marsh: I recently stayed at Whyle for roughly three months from October 2021 to January 2022. The experience was incredibly positive. The management team is responsive and super helpful. The gym is AMAZING! They have Peloton bikes and tons of other work out machines and gear. The apartments are modern, new, and well stocked with what you need for a short, medium, or longer term stay. The management team can provide you with a list of items in each apartment. The location? There is a Whole Foods right next door which is incredibly convenient. It's a busy part of town so it can be a bit noisy at night but it's a great location and super walkable to everything you could want! I would highly recommend Whyle!
Response: Thank you, William, for the kind words! I'm delighted that we had an opportunity to have you stay with us while you were in DC. I hope you and your wife enjoy your new city and new Peloton and look forward to seeing you two back in DC.

Amy S: Great location with easy access to the Metro. Excellent food options nearby in easy walking distance. It was a nice walk on a cooler morning down to Chinatown and there is plenty of transportation available for a quick ride to the museums on the Mall. The apartment itself was clean and decorated tastefully. I found the management to be friendly and helpful, and they were highly responsive. I recommend this location.
Response: Thank you Amy -- we truly appreciate the kind words and hope to see you back the next time you are in DC.

Ian Carter: I almost hesitate to write this review for fear of it becoming too popular and difficult for me to book in the future... alas, the Whyle is the perfect choice for a short term (30+ day) stay in the DC area. Amazing location above a Whole Foods and near tons of restaurants and bars and transit, with a fully furnished super comfortable unit (sound proofed as well!) and the best staff you could ask for. OH, and the gym and rooftop are icing on the cake. Nearly perfection!
Response: Thank you Ian for the kind words and for staying with us while you were in DC. The team and I look forward to seeing you and your family back again in the near future.

Ozan Saracoglu: İ spent the last 2+ months at Whyle and enjoyed every minute of it. İ often do long-term stays when i travel for work because i like to feel like İ am at home. My apartment at Whyle was so comfortable, and the staff made my transition to the city quick and easy. İ look forward to my next project in DC. İ will be staying at Whyle for sure!
Response: Thank you Ozan! We appreciate the kind words and for making Whyle your DC home away from home -- Hope to see you back next time.

Alok Jain: I stayed at Whyle furnished apartments for nearly five months. The apartment was sunny and had a view of the Washington Monument. The interior design is aesthetically pleasing, refreshing and functional. The bed was very comfortable. The apartment is nicely furnished and has good quality amenities. They have Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth speakers, Mauviel pots and pans, OXO kitchen utensils and Scott Zwiesel glasses. They have kept bar accessories which I found very novel that allows to make your own signature cocktails. Whole Food store is just downstairs and the property is walking distance to many restaurants and bars in the neighborhood. Whyle’s GM Shannon and Manager Shane were very helpful during my stay. All in all - enjoyed my stay at Whyle and will stay again if visiting DC.
Response: Thank you Alok for the wonderful review! It was such a pleasure to get to know you and your family while you stayed at Whyle. We look forward to seeing you back in the near future.

Abel Legesse: I can’t say enough good things about my time at Whyle! I felt like I was staying in a 5-star hotel! The staff was welcoming and friendly from the day I moved in till the day I moved out. The furnishings are high-end, the location is ideal, and the place is tranquil despite being in the middle of a bustling city. I highly recommend it!
Response: Thank you Abel! It has been great to have you with us. Let us know when you are back in town; we would love to see you again.

Nina L: My friends and I stayed here for the Spring in this super cute two-bedroom apartment. Fab design + A private view of the National Monument from our living room = VIBE! Thanks for helping make the DC experience what it was!
Response: Thank you Nina for your kind words and for making Whyle your DC residence. We hope to see you back next fall.

Valeria Wetzel: I rented Whyle looking for a premium apartment for short term. I regret my decision everyday. I was assigned unit 311, which is under the bridge that connects both buildings and therefore receives no light at all (and does not have floor to ceiling windows like the other units). It is nothing like the pictures that are posted online and it is the same price. So BE CAREFUL when you rent and make sure you reach out to ask which unit they will be assigning you. Management promised me to move me to a different apartment and I only found out some hours before the move that the other owners have decided to extend their stay and they have no other units available. Manager is on holidays and nobody is providing any assistance. I wish I had not rented this apartment. It is a rip off. Also, there is construction work nearby that goes everyday from 7am.
Response: Hello Valeria, Thank you for your feedback. Our Assistant General Manager Yogi said that he has been in constant communication with you since he is on property 50+ hours a week. As we discussed on the day that you arrived, you booked a Deluxe One-Bedroom apartment, which is the apartment type you are now staying in. We said you could move into a Premier One-Bedroom apartment as soon as it becomes available. Unfortunately, the guest staying in the next available Premier One-Bedroom Apartment had to extend their stay at the last minute. We also offered to move you to other One-Bedroom apartments, but you preferred to wait for the next Premier One-Bedroom. As Yogi has already communicated with you, there is a Standard One Bedroom apartment available that we would be happy to move you to immediately if you feel it will help improve your experience at Whyle. Regarding your current apartment, we offered to bring you additional plants and add more lighting as you felt the floor to ceiling windows in the apartment did not give you enough light and to help make you feel more comfortable. Please let us know if you would like to move into the Standard One-Bedroom apartment, and we will make it happen instantly. Thank you, Shannon Averill General Manager

Matt Spittler: I wish I could give this place ten stars! My wife had to be in the DC area for training for a few months, and since I work remotely, I joined. The rooftop lounge was the perfect co-working; I miss that view and the vibe! Their gym is legit too, with a squat rack, kettlebells, row machines and multiple Peloton bikes - I always had a great workout-- Can't wait till our next visit.
Response: Thank you Matt! We are Looking forward to seeing you in 2024- Safe travels! I hope your next stop has Lacalomb Coffee and Kettlebells.

The Gale Eckington: what do users think?

Treon Jones: When I visited The Gale Eckington Paris greeted me in the lobby. She was very welcoming and attentive to my needs for looking for a one bedroom apartment. Paris took me on a tour of the property, and answered all my questions in a respectful and professional manner! This property is very beautiful and conveniently close to the metro station and other amenities. Although I am still apartment hunting this could definitely one of my options. The customer service and professionalism of Paris definitely could possibly sway me in the direction of being a resident of The Gale Eckington!
Response: Thank you for sharing your 5-star experience, Treon! We're so glad Paris gave you a great tour and answered all your questions, and we'll be sure to pass along your kind words to her. If we can be of any additional assistance with your home search, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Ben Wilhelm: Recently moved in to the Gale, so far everything has been smooth and relatively easy to navigate. I appreciate all of the staff that I have communicated with so far and found them to be very kind and helpful. I was reading some of the negative reviews and think a lot has changed from the times those were written so as of right now I would recommend this place for sure. We have a puppy here who loves to let the world know he can make noise sometimes and the neighbors and community here seem to be very friendly and understanding about that. I look forward to the rest of the year here
Response: Welcome to our community, Ben! We're glad you and your puppy are feeling right at home in our friendly environment. If we can be of any assistance, please reach out to our team.

Christina Dinkins: Just a few good praises to give out!! I’ve been here for over four years I’ve seen the good and the bad but what makes living here great is some of the staff!! First let’s praise some management personnel there’s Ms.Jackie since day one she’s been very helpful informative and her motherly attitude makes her just a brilliant and refreshing spirit to interact with when visiting the leasing office. Derrick is another professional who has a great spirit his passion to do his best to help the residents are overwhelming respected and appreciated. The maintenance department is phenomenal Tony Omar and Steffen are the “BEST EVER” always prompt and their response time is amazing always making sure your apartment amenities are functioning and safe just all the way A1 professionals…Last but not least my concierge ladies the two most outstanding ladies are Sydney who goes over and beyond to help resolve issues answer questions just her graceful & positive attitude makes the front desk warm and friendly not to mention there’s Jasmine the package concierge who if I was asked to rate this young lady it would be hands down her ability to make sure you receive your packages is a breeze she’s very detailed about locating your packages delivery times and her pleasant mannerisms just tops it off as a person of first contact. There are areas of improvement but for the most it’s Home Sweet Home!! P.S Please bring James back super pleasant sweet professional delightful helpful and just a positive asset to the management team!!
Response: Christina, we cannot thank you enough for sharing such high praise for our dedicated team! Jackie, Derrick, Tony, Omar, Steffen, Sydney, Jasmine, and James will all be uplifted by your kind recognition. We love taking care of our residents and value your feedback, so please let us know if there is anything we can do to increase your daily comfort.

Hagar El Didi: We just moved recently, and we've had a great experience so far. Derek in particular from the leasing office has gone above and beyond, helping us find the apartment we were looking for, and making our move-in process smooth. He was very patient, accommodating and responsive. Also, Mr. Collins in management showed us the utmost courtesy and professionalism and that made a huge difference. Maintenance guys are swift, attentive, and very helpful. They took care of all our problems in one visit. So far everything has been great. The neighbor is nice and quiet, close to the metro and grocery stores. The people are friendly. There is also a nice coffee shop around the corner called Qualia, great coffee and friendly baristas.
Response: Hagar, welcome to our community! We are thrilled to hear Derek helped you find just the right home and that our maintenance team has promptly addressed all your needs. We hope you will be happy here for a long time to come.

Peter Hillebrand: Good location, solid building, very helpful staff. The leasing agents (Derek and Jacqueline) were unbelievably understanding and accommodating to me throughout a virtual move-in and a hectic move-out situation. Depending on price point, it's definitely a building I would recommend!
Response: Hello Peter, we are pleased to hear Derek and Jacqueline helped your move-in and move-out go smoothly and that you enjoyed your time in our community. Thank you for sharing your 5-star comments, and we wish you all the best in your next home!

Crystal Brumfield: Having a really strange experience with The Gale. Paris was really nice and helpful with explaining everything to me when I came in person to learn more about the property but was unable to show me a unit at the time. I explained how I was from out of town so it was suggested I utilize the virtual option to view a unit, I booked a virtual tour but no one ever contacted me with a zoom link or anything. I called multiple times, no one answers the phones. I kept getting emails and text from “Leo” asking if I was interested in the property, I would respond and wouldn’t get an answer. It’s all fairly strange and unfortunate. As a past resident that was looking forward to moving back, this property has severely depreciated both in its physical structure and customer service. After this many red flags, I’m both no longer interested and would not suggest them to potential renters.

Marissa: I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Derek Gibson! While I decided to lease at Gale and Eckington's sister community, "Judd and Weiler", Gale has a great leasing consultant/professional within Derek. His follow up and commitment to assisting me with my search was greatly appreciated! If I could, I would rent from both! Especially with leasing professionals like Derek! -Audrey M. Davis
Response: Thank you for considering our community, Audrey! We appreciate your kind words for Derek and will be sure to pass them along. If we can be of any further assistance, please reach out anytime.

Keyiania Youngblood: Horrible leasing agent service. Would not share information, was not personable and kept requesting me to refer to the website over her actually explaining the information. Distasteful and rude. These units are $2,000 , I would not spend my $$ here .

Nikki Mammano: I have a very strong love, hate relationship with the Gale Eckington. I lived here for two years and over the course of the two years it vastly changed. For one, it seems that they have a very high turn over rate and the people at the concierge who would always put a smile on my face, were either fired or left. Their packaging system is not very great and they have lost a few packages of mine before. The leasing office and concierge now is not very attentive when you have questions, especially when it comes to billing and rent payments. The one thing I would say is great about the Gale is maintenance. Tony is awesome and he has been there since I moved in. In addition, do not be surprised to find an ambulance or police out front every single day and night. Without fail, there is always either one, or both, or even a fire truck. **On my last night at the Gale before I moved out, there was a stabbing in the lobby. It was a very distasteful sight to say goodbye to the Gale with seeing a bunch of blood all over the floor.
Response: Hi Nikki, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We appreciate your kind words for Tony and will be sure to pass them along. We will address your feedback with the rest of our team and work to improve for current and future residents. Feel free to email us anytime at PM_TheGale@jbgsmith.com if you want to share anything else. We wish you all the best in the future.

aaron howard: I am starting to have a negative and terrible experience with The Gale Eckington. Overall the unit is fine and it serves the purpose I need it for, a roof over my head and a good location. However, due to recent events in my life I need to end my lease two months early. I reached out to the office, stopped by multiple times, and shot numerous emails to the identified staff members and so far have only received ONE response. I responded to that email and it has been radio silence for an entire week. When I stop by the office they are in "meetings" or "not in at the moment". From a logistical planning standpoint (getting movers, figuring out my exit plan, etc) you would think there would be some form of communication to help. I have been pleasant throughout this struggle. I was cordial, understanding, and accomodating. How can I work with an office that has no desire to work with me?
Response: Aaron, thank you for bringing this to our attention. As you are aware, our team is typically very responsive, and we are genuinely sorry to hear about your difficulty reaching us about your move. At your convenience, please contact me at 703-685-7271 so I can look into this matter and help facilitate communications. I look forward to your call.

Eliot on 4th: what do users think?

Alek Mouly: Been living here for just under a month and it has been great so far. The location is fantastic, the building and its amenities are of really great quality and the staff is very friendly and helpful as well. In particular, my leasing agent Ndidi was extremely friendly, made the process of starting the lease very painless and was far and away one of the nicest leasing agents I've had the pleasure of working with during my apartment search.
Response: Hi Alek, Thanks so much for taking the time to share your positive experience with Eliot on 4th! We are glad that you enjoyed working with Ndidi, she is GREAT!. As always, our team is looking forward to our next interaction. Sharita Harper, Senior Community Manager

Naomi Rinaldi: I was moving to DC from out of state, and Ndidi was extremely helpful throughout the process as I wasn't able to come and see the prospective layouts. She was very responsive to my calls/emails (I had sent her many), and I was able to ultimately snag an apartment that I really like. Overall, living at Eliot on 4th over the past few months has been a pleasant experience - both the location and the amenities are great.
Response: Dear Naomi, Thanks for the great review! It is truly touching to know you think so highly of us! The entire team including Ndidi. hope to continue exceeding your expectations with 5 star service. -Sharita Harper, Senior Community Manager

Kimberly Jamison: We absolutely loved our time living in Eliot on 4th. The location in SW DC can't be beat. We loved the large windows and extremely functional layout in our apartment. We enjoyed the rooftop amenities, the courtyard space, and occasionally working from home in the lounge area downstairs. However, after almost 4 years of renting as excellent tenants, when we asked to end our lease one month early, the Mill Creek team said that the only thing that they could do for us was allow us to pay a one month "penalty" for early lease termination. (Which is essentially the same thing as just finishing out our lease...) That unfortunate ending to our time at Eliot on 4th definitely put a damper on our overall experience.
Response: Thank you Kimberly for sharing your experience at Eliot on 4th. Thank you for understanding that we have to enforce the terms of your signed lease fairly to everyone. We wish you the very best in your move. -Sharita Harper, Community Manager

Deborah Epstein: I'm a new resident of Ellott on 4th but I want to share my experience with Ndidi Ukaibe in the leasing office. I submitted my application over the Christmas holiday when DC was hitting it's Covid spike. She was amazing, she walked me through the process with patience, she expressed sympathy and cared about my situation with professionalism and kindness. She was working alone in the leasing office and still managed to respond to me in a reasonable amount of time. I had a few bumps in my application process that required flexibility and understanding she responded with both. She easily could have filled my apartment with all the people waiting in line to get into that building. The building is beautiful, the amenities are quality, and the location is amazing.I looked at apartments for 6 months before choosing Elliot on 4th and couldn't be more excited about being a resident.
Response: Hello Deborah, Thanks for choosing us and leaving such a great review! We truly appreciate you sharing your experience working with Ndidi. We are honored to have you as part of the Eliot on 4th family! Please reach out to us with any additional questions or comments! We're here for you anytime! -Sharita Harper, General Manager

Victor Sage: The building is okay. The apartment finishes are mediocre at best or in the case of the cabinets downright awful. We moved in during Covid without having been able to visit the unit before hand and relied on a video walkthrough. Living here was okay. When we first moved in all the staff was amazing and super friendly but shortly after management fired everyone and then it was constant turnover for the entire time we lived there. It wasn't necesarily bad for us but you could feel the tension with the staff which was a bit uncomfortable. We pay enough money to live there they should treat and pay the staff that run the day to day operations of the building fairly. The biggest complaint we have though is about the utilities. In additional to your own electricity that you pay to Pepco directly you have to pay the building itself for water, sewer, HVAC, etc. They are supposed to be individually metered but it's pretty obvious they just make them up. Every resident we knew had the same issue. You could be gone for two weeks in one month and the utility bill could be higher than the previous month when you were there every day. Some months the utilities were for the same amount like they just copy/pasted the bills and didn't care. One thing is for certain the values always went up and never down. Each month it was just a little bit more. If you're looking at the Eliot I would recommend looking elsewhere. There are much nicer buildings in the area where the units go for the same rate. We could only make it one year and we are very glad to have moved on.
Response: Thank you Victor for sharing your review. If you would like to discuss the billing process in more depth please contact the leasing office so we can explain fully. I can also discuss your staffing concerns. No one has been fired since you moved in and two of our office team members have been here since the building was built. Our Assistant Manager took a position closer to home and our Assistant Service Manager was promoted to Service Manager at one of our other communities. This is one of my strongest teams and they are very close and their customer service scores have ranked among the top in our company which received top ranking in the nation in 2021. If you have a specific concern or a poor experience with a specific person please reach out to me to discuss. Thanks again for your review. -Dan Grove, Regional Manager - dgrove@mcrtrust.com

Fredrick Martin: I've enjoyed living at the Eliot on 4th. The property is great and the amenities are very good. The details of having soft music paly in the hallways along with the fresh smell of simple sage is a nice touch. The staff has been helpful and I've enjoyed working with Ndidi in the leasing office.
Response: Hi Fredrick, Thank you for the awesome feedback. Hearing that your experience went well really makes our day. No surprise to hear you share about Ndidi, she is wonderful. -Sharita Harper, Senior Community Manager

Trevor Alexander: The people that work at the building are awesome and make it a great spot to live. It’s in a great location, is really new, and offers great amenities. Special shout-out to Ndidi, she took care of me from day one and is always a fun time to talk to.
Response: Trevor, Thanks for choosing us and leaving such a great review! We're thrilled that Ndidi left you with such a great impression! We hope stay one of your favorites. Please let us know if there is anything that we can do for you in the future. William Weiglein, Assistant Community Manager

Maria Hurt: I really enjoyed my time living in this building. Location is amazing and hard to beat. My one bedroom was perfect and super comfortable space-wise. Nothing about the building is causing me to move out – just moving into a bigger place with my fiancé. Leasing office is average. Ndidi was impossible to get a hold of while I was applying, so maybe try to get a different leasing agent at the beginning. But it was worth it to keep bugging and eventually got through it and moved in. William has taken over for my move-out information and has been responsive and helpful so far. Only maintenance issue I ran into was a time period where a marijuana smell was coming through the bathroom and hallways. I will say the building handled it well and got it resolved quickly. Other than that, I did not have any issues with the apartment itself. One con is that lately there have been a lot of mandatory DC water shut offs at really inconvenient times (i.e. 8:00pm for eight hours, not great) with very short notice. It would be helpful to get more notice, but fully aware that can be out of the building’s control most of the time. Overall the building is really nice to live in. Amenities and location are great and the rooftop pool was always nice in the summer. Concierge is fine too. They are there 24/7 and always helpful with packages. All in all, good building to live in if you want a luxury building close to the city/Wharf!
Response: Thank you so much Maria for sharing your thorough review of Eliot on 4th. We wish you the absolute best with your move! -Sharita Harper, Senior Community Manager

Christoph von Löwenstern: Staff was very helpful and facilitated to the maximum extend my move to Washington from Germany.Nice apartments and common areas are in a very good shape.Wonderful rooftop area - very relaxing.

We are so happy you chose to call our community home and we look forward to your continued residency for many years to come. Shay Norman: Got the privilege of working with Ndidi during the leasing process. Because I was moving in the middle of winter from the mid-west the process of located a living space from another state was very stressful. Ndidi was amazing during the entire process by extending me patience, honesty, and expertise. Truly appreciated working with her.
Response: Hi Shay, We are grateful and appreciate the time you took to leave your review. We are so happy that you are enjoying your experience at Eliot on 4th and with Ndidi specifically. We hope to continue exceeding your expectations with 5-star service. -Sharita Harper, Community Manager

901W: what do users think?

Antonio Delacruz: Within the year I have lived at 901W, I have enjoyed my stay. The amenities are top-notch and the staff is friendly and always available for anything that I need. From the concierge desk to the maintenance staff specially Jose which I always practice my Spanish with. Sam The Manager is very professional and kind and Elisha is wonderful to work with! She is always available to support me with my needs as a resident. Any questions or concerns that I have, she responds promptly and efficiently. She is always professional and courteous. Thank you, Elisha for all that you do for our community!
Response: Hi Antonio, we so appreciate your high praise for our dedicated team! Jose, Sam, Elisha, and the rest of our team will be encouraged by your kind recognition. Thank you for brightening our day.

Cecilia Jasso: We moved into this building early June of 2021 and overall have had a great experience!! Concierge is extremely friendly and the design of the units are beautiful! Pros: Apartments are spacious, amazing amenities with the gym, pool, lounge, and rooftop sitting ares, concierge is always super helpful and nice, close to lots of restaurants and activities, super close to the metro, they offer a lot of cool services, and host pretty sweet events, feels safe! Cons: They recently got rid of concierge but I do still see them occasionally so hoping that they are bring that back full time, wifi doesn't always work at the ideal speed I'd want it to even though I'm paying for the top tier wifi, there are only 2 elevators so it tends to take longer to get out during morning rush times or evenings (we're on the 8th floor and have an old dog so taking the stairs isn't an option), you have to pay $50 every time you lose a key. As you'll see there are some downsides but it definitely does not outweigh the pros of this place. Elisha, the leasing agent that helped me out, was great and super easy to work with. Would definitely recommend this place to be your new home.
Response: Hi Cecilia, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback! We are glad Elisha and our friendly concierge have made a good impression on you, and we appreciate your suggestions for how we can improve. If there is anything more you'd like to share, be sure to contact our office team anytime.

Priscilla Kasper: We moved into this building about a year ago and have loved it! The building staff is super helpful and quick to respond to maintenance requests. The leasing office is super friendly and helpful, especially Elisha always available to answer questions. The neighbors are great. The amenities are great too and always in good order. The location is great and units are spacious with up to date features. Highly suggest this building!
Response: Hi Priscilla, thank you for sharing your high praise for our responsive team, excellent amenities, and beautiful homes! Elisha will be happy to know she has helped you have the best possible experience in our community. We appreciate your 5-star support and will continue to be there for you when you need us.

Ron Boehmer: The building is in a great location, but unfortunately it has several major design flaws - one of which being the metal rungs on the outside of the building. Birds love to roost in these rungs and they completely destroy the outside of the windows. Unfortunately, management will only clean the windows once a year (in the fall), so you're out of luck if they clean the windows before the fall migration. When you pay more than $2000 a month in rent for a 'boutique' residence, you should have a better view than hundreds of streaks of bird waste. I'm very disappointed in the lack of responsiveness of the building and their inability to address this issue.
Response: Ron, thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. We're glad you enjoy our convenient location, but we are disappointed that window cleanliness has impacted your experience. We believe in providing prompt and helpful service, and we are looking into your comments to decide how to best move forward. Please contact us directly at PM_901W@jbgsmith.com so we can discuss this in more detail.

Sedric Nesbitt: I have lived within 901W for a little over a year, and I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay. From the amenities, to the concierge staff, to the maintenance crew - I have been so impressed with the professionalism, friendliness and overall positive energy I have gotten while living here. Elisha - from the leasing office - has been so wonderful to work with, as she has been super great/responsive about answering any questions I had about the building. Overall - I would highly recommend living here, and would stay here as long as I could!!
Response: Hi Sedric, it is lovely to hear you are enjoying your home in our community. We have high standards for service, so it means a lot that our amazing team has made a positive impact on your experience. We'll be sure to pass your praise along to Elisha and the rest of our team!

Katherine Lugo: I've lived at 901W for a year, and the building has really exceeded all of my expectations. The apartments are beautiful and well-designed, and the amenities are great. Particularly during the pandemic, it's been a relief to live in a smaller building that has been diligent about masking and other public health protocols. I've also never had noise issues within my apartment, which is a major plus while working remotely. I'm also so thankful for our Assistant Community Manager, Elisha. Elisha made the process of transferring from another JBG Smith apartment building to 901W as smooth as possible, and was always available to answer any questions. She has also been very accommodating and patient as I work through some unexpected, personal curveballs during the lease renewal process. Really, it's been such a pleasure to have her as a resource and point of contact at 901W -- thank you!
Response: Katherine, it means a lot to know that Elisha helped your lease renewal go smoothly and that our community has provided you with peace of mind during the pandemic. Thank you so much for sharing this. If we can be of any further assistance, please reach out anytime!

Katie Smith: Beautiful facilities! Spacious, modern apartments, fitness center, and incredible rooftop. Management is also great, very responsive to requests, and makes an effort to host fun events for residents, like the cooking class we recently took! Elisha is an excellent property manager and has made the application and lease process very easy. 901W is a great place to live!
Response: Hi Katie, thank you for recognizing Elisha and sharing all the things you love about our community! We're glad you enjoy our amenities, responsive service, and fun events. If we can add to your experience in any way, reach out to us anytime.

Tiana L: I've lived here for over a year and I would highly recommend this building to anyone! Elisha is AMAZING. She is responsive and really looks out for the residents here. She will really do whatever she can to ensure the best outcome. The maintenance team is quick and responsive.( Shout out to Jose). The common areas are always clean. Also, they are very communicative with what's happening in the building whether its window cleaning, filter changes etc.) Additionally, something to note is the apartments have concrete between the floors so I never hear anyone above me and rarely next door. They have a lot of fun little events for their residences. They've had food trucks, holiday parties, cooking classes and more. It's a plus when you haven't planned a meal for the night. Most of the residents are kind people and I feel safe living here. Below I highlighted some pros and cons. Some of the cons I find no issue but something of note. Pros: Great Staff and maintenance Spacious for the price and location Super close to convenient restaurants and Whole Foods AMAZING Gym w/ a squat rack , expansive dumbbells, and Pelotons Events galore! Super deep bath tub Cons: Depending on the side of the building may have construction ( but hey its DC) No true office/co-working spaces( if you care ) smaller pool ( if you care ) Happy apartment hunting!
Response: Hi Tiana, thank you for sharing such kind words for Elisha and Jose! We are glad to hear you have enjoyed our responsive service, excellent gym, and fun events. We hope you will love your quiet home with us for years to come.

Leor Tal: My partner and I have been living at 901 W for a little over a year now and can't see ourselves living anywhere else. From the leasing office and the front desk folks to our maintenance crew, all of the staff at 901 W are helpful, kind, and go above and beyond for the residents here. Elisha from the leasing office deserves a special shoutout for consistently bending over backwards to make our stay at 901 W as comfortable as possible. She responds quickly to emails and has shown us nothing but kindness and compassion since the day we moved in. The staff at 901 W have made our experience and stay well worth it. We're so happy to have renewed our lease for another year!
Response: Leor, we are delighted to hear you and your partner continue to feel right at home in our amazing community. We work hard to create a positive living environment for our residents, and we'll be sure to pass your kind words along to Elisha. Thank you for being a loyal resident!

Lamina Richardson: I’ve been living here for a few months and absolutely love it. Maintenance comes within 24 hours if anything is ever wrong. The concierge is so nice. Elisha helped me so much with my move in process. She made everything so easy for me. She answered all of my questions thoroughly. I would definitely recommend living here.
Response: Hi Lamina, we're so happy to know you have settled comfortably into our community! We love taking care of our residents and will be sure to pass your kind words along to Elisha. Thank you for sharing your 5-star feedback.
