Marriott Vacation Club Pulse at The Mayflower, Washington, D.C.: what do users think?

Andrew Tuttle: This is a very nice hotel. They have all the amenities that are necessary for a great stay. They have complementary tea and coffee in the lobby. They also have many ballrooms that host magnificent parties. When I was staying here, they were hosting the Australian Royal Air Force for some award ceremony or something. They had a party after and I could hear the music from my room on the third floor. Those kinds of things are very annoying. The rooms are very small. They also have two beds that are very small.

Ajay J Mundra: This property is very luxurious. The lobby is quite nice and the chandeliers were very nicely laid out. Additionally, the Christmas decorations was quite good. The check-in experience was good, however, the challenge was getting luggage to the room. Since there is almost hardly any parking space, getting the luggage unloaded and then separately park was car was a bit inconvenient. Regardless, the good thing is that the property did advice that we should find a parking spot in advance nearby. We used iparkit to get the parking garage for our stay. Coming back to the hotel, the room was really nice. The two queen beds were very comfortable and the wallpapers were nicely done. The room was really big and spacious. The coat room and bathroom were also quite spacious. This property is quite close to White House (walking distance) and it is convenient to take cabs to visit museums nearby. Overall, a wonderful experience with Marriott Vacation Club property.

William Collesano: Reps were very pleasant and helpful, facility was clean and well maintained, restaurant food was very good as was service. Only 1 recommendation - place or make available a coffee pot in the room. We often returned late in the evening - no nearby coffee shops or restaurants were open.

D G: Great location. Staff go out of their way to say hiwelcomegood morning. Coffee machine on our floor was broken all week. Club Pulse still closed. Makes little sense blaming covid for it since everything else is open with masks optional.

Murad Omar: Towels not clean. Shower had hair. The hotel staff didn’t think that the first thing they need to do is to apologize vs saying thank you we’ll tell the cleaning staff. Disrespectful

Christine Macaalay: I stay checked out today, very poor service. I stayed in this hotel for 4 days. Air-condition is not working every night, at the 1st they send someone to fix the air conditioning but we were not updated regarding the air conditioning if fixed, when we get back to the hotel at night, its not working. Made a complaint regarding this issue but the front desk just responded that they will make notes and smile. NEVER AGAIN, POOR SERVICE>>

B W: Also no microwaves or kitchenette accommodations so good luck if you want to enjoy any leftovers from eating out..

William Roger: They gave us a squatty little room with a king size bed. At certain times of day you could never get cold water it was always hot didn’t matter which faucet you turned on. The food was below average at the concierge service. I think Marriott needs to take a major look at this hotel and repair fix up the little things. The overall ambience of the hotels quite nice.

Jeong Kim: Rating as a 3.5. Ordered the shrimp and grits and chicken and pancake tacos. Shrimp and grits were good but wished they would load up on the slaw bc needed a fresh crunch esp. for a shrimp taco. Chicken and pancake was okay but nothing out of this world. Was just ckn strip wrapped in pancake.

Washington Marriott at Metro Center: what do users think?

Derek Kruger: Great location for this Marriott. The national mall, White House …. All within walking distance from this hotel. The restaurants within walking distance are great too. The staff were helpful from valet, front desk to bellhops. Even a Starbucks in here, even though we prefer Dunkin’ Donuts was still nice to have a “real” coffee shop in the hotel. We will definitely be staying here again. Tip- worth it to find your own parking garage. 1/3 the price

01carbin1: I worked at this property when I was in college. My wife and I were downtown so I decided to go down Memory Lane and stop in for dinner. The club sandwich was still on the menu and was as good as I remembered it. The friendly service and speed of delivery were appreciated....a tad bit inattentive after the food was delivered, but overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Angela Thompson: Good hotel, great location. Right next to the metro. Also has capital bike share steps away. Doormen are awesome too! No room service though. And, no extras in the rooms either. No lotions, shower cap, pen and paper, etc. But, once again, location is pretty close to everything.

Marco Sernicola: Very useful position close to the Metro Center Station. Large and comfortable room with 2 queen size beds inside. Clean, extra pillows, many towels and 2 small bottles of water... Unfortunately there was no fridge or free wifi facilities. The gym and a small Starbucks, inside the hotel, were very helpful.

Eteri Mach: Very disappointed in a few things: 1. Our room was never cleaned during the 4 days. 2. On the checkout day room service just kept knocking on the door in the morning, waking us up. I don’t understand why they cannot coordinate with the reception who checked out and who is still there. 3. There were provided no dressing gowns, disposable kits, or anything. When we called and asked for a razor, they told us to come downstairs and get it. Not very good service. 4. The duvet covers inside the sheets were soiled with brown spots. Otherwise it was clean, and the location was nice.

Carol Chung: Be prepared for insanely long waits for the elevator and your car ($54 valet parking only). Considering how long the wait is for the elevator, I would say this hotel is NOT handicap friendly. We would have to wait around twenty minutes every time we used the elevator. When we were there the first night, it was fully booked with only ONE elevator running. The next day they had 2 out of the 4 elevators running but still long enough wait that we would just walk from the 12th floor. The rooms are also outdated with popcorn ceiling and lots of stains. Would not recommend staying here!

Washington Marriott Georgetown: what do users think?

Rodney Ibrahim: Room was a perfect size for a family of 4. We had a double room + and we were anxiously waiting to get in our room after our 4hr drive. Unfortunately, even though we were after our check in time, our room was not ready and we had to wait almost an hour to finally unwind. As a Marriott member with status I expected better. Other than that the room and hotel were good. Hotel is centrally located and a great place to start the day. Breakfast in the morning is good and the staff who handle the food were very friendly. Other than the check-in snafu the hotel checked most of the boxes and we would come back if in the area.

Jessica Poku: The Good: my hotel room was excellent. I had an amazing view, a large couch, a nice bathroom and very comfortable bed and amenities. Everything was accessible (ice machine, elevator, ubers etc). I was a happy camper. The Bad: service was not great. Check-in was pretty lazy, no offer of welcome gift (asked about it the next morning and they said they applied it and didn’t need to mention it) - I thought the policy was to offer an option to members? They had a great M Club downstairs which I visited for water, and the attendant stared at me the whole time and just hovered behind me with a question on her face, until I left. It was rather uncomfortable. I also needed silverware, and when I requested I was told that there was nobody available to bring any because the staff were on break for an hour. Besides the above I enjoyed my stay and was happy with my room and view.

Kim Schaff: Aretha, the woman at the Front Desk, is amazing. We were part of a wedding group, so many people with the same last name, but we were checked in promptly and all in the correct rooms! We got the directions for underground parking and shortly were in bed. The rooms were modern, the beds were firm, with a wide variety of pillows with varying firmness, and individual thermostats! A wand and a rain-head shower fixture, soft absorbent towels and plenty of counter space made for a deluxe bathroom. My only very minor complaint, is that the on/off switch on the bedside lamp is the same brown as the fixture, making it difficult to find.

Lindsey Santoro: My phone reception isn’t that good so I could really hear her name but Anisha or Aretha maybe it was, a young woman at the front desk, is outstanding. She really went above and beyond to make a special delivery to my husband’s room for his graduation and she was so polite and courteous every time I spoke with her on the phone. She deserves recognition for delivering true hospitality. Thank you!!!

A suitcase and a baby: Beautiful hotel in a great location. In the middle of Georgetown, walking distance to the monuments as well a George Washington hospital. Trader Joe’s located nearby. Gym downstairs was clean and a suitable size, rooms stocked with towels and clean linens and shower pressure great. Will definitely return

Gary Jett: 4 day three nights stay. Overpriced average with lousy parking. They are quite good though at removing personal property during housekeeping. The area they (corporate as well) excel in, however, is taking your info and promising to have a team member reach out. Mostly no one does, but, when they do it is to take your info and promise to have a team member reach out to you. Oh, they also hope that you had a pleasant visit.

Rose Riley: Very clean, courteous staff, and good room sizes. We enjoyed our stay with the family. I have included some pics of the room to include the view from our window. The Marriott never disappoints.

JW Marriott Washington, DC: what do users think?

John Tucker: Great location. Very nice staff. I had a base room with two full-sized beds. Only concern was that my top sheet was not long enough to tuck in...literally got in bed, pulled the covers up to my chest and felt a rush of air come from the bottom of the bed. Why housekeeping made the bed that was is beyond me... and when I tried to tuck it in, it was too short at the top to even come within 2 or 3 feet of the top of the headboard. Nice room otherwise.

Annette Tatum: Beautiful hotel, walking distance to all the monuments and the White House. Do not waste your money on a rental car because its easier to walk and not have to worry about parking. Excellent location and staff, will recommend giving this place a try when in Washington, DC.

Brenna Belletti: Really beautiful hotel. The rooms are small but beautifully decorated and clean. We had a lovely view from our room as well. Convenient Starbucks coffee located in the shop in the lobby. I would stay here again!

Asma Alavi: The hotel is neat, clean. And the staff is friendly. The room was spacious. There is a corner bakery right outside the hotel. The location is amazing. Just 5-10 mins walk to all the attractions. We loved our stay there

Courtyard by Marriott Washington, DC/U.S. Capitol: what do users think?

BC Turk: To start, the valet parking is outrageous but there is a garage literally right down the same road for about a third the price. The staff is super friendly. Housekeeping would speak to us and ask if we needed anything as we headed to the elevators. Everyone was always saying, Have a good day”. The amenities within the hotel room were good. We checked the sheets and filters and all was clean. Sheets are super thin but worked out okay. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and sink/bar. All the you need. I like the security they have coming in. It is a two minute walk to the Metro (red line). Would recommend for location being close to a walking path and the Metro.

Garrett Robak: Extremely friendly staff from the front desk, the cafe, management, housekeepers, and valet. Everyone was so pleasant and made the stay that much more enjoyable. The hotel is very modern and has very comfortable amenities. The hotel is also located in a really great section of DC where there are a ton of restaurants and shops that are within walking distance.

Jean Ng: We read a lot of negative reviews about this place and some is kinda true. Parking is an issue BUT we found a garage just across from the hotel inside the ELEVATION BUILDING which a full day charge is only $16 max. We left the car in the garage for the entire week stay and just use the metro as our main transportation. The room we got was nice and comfortable. Although we have an issue with the AC. The temperature is constantly at 73 even tho we set it for 68. A little stain on the couch but no big deal. The room also have good noise insulation (maybe I just slept through it since we walk so much during the day) Big shout out to Miss Nu who checked us in. She just brighten our day and made us feel special. There is a refreshment table set up with coffee tea water and cookies for free after the breakfast period. Tons of food options around and trader joe’s is just 6mins away on foot towards Union Market.

ESB NYC: Busy and basic Marriott in NE DC. It was fine for what we needed but I’m not too enthusiastic. Room was clean. There were some kinda gross stains on the sofa/ottoman that were unappealing but we’re not too fussy. They charge $45+tax for daily parking but you can self-park across the street for $16 a day including tax, literally 3 minutes walk. The morning coffee situation was not very well organized. There were also some strange service issues with the front desk. We stayed in the same room but we utilized two separate reservations, the front desk seemed very confused about this and they came up to our room with a rather confrontational demand that we come downstairs to check out and check into the room again although we had been told on the phone that we were good to go. Not really a big deal but I felt that the aggressive posture was unnecessary and left me with a bad taste. On top of that, I am a gold Bonvoy member and I would’ve been entitled to a room upgrade which I declined for the convenience of remaining in the same room. One thing that I believe some other people commented about is that you cannot control the temperature in your room effectively. There is a thermostat and you can make the numbers move up and down a bit but it doesn’t appear to have any effect on the temperature in the room which seems to be controlled centrally. There were a couple of evenings where we were uncomfortably warm. On the plus side, you are just a couple of minutes from the Noma metro station and there is also a Dunkin’ Donuts close to that. You’re also about a 8 to 10 minute walk from the Union market area which has a Trader Joe’s and some great restaurants and other food options inside the market. If not for the convenience of the location and the comparatively reasonable price, this would probably be a three star review.

Marriott Marquis Washington, DC: what do users think?

Charles Hanskat: Great location if attending a convention at the convention center. Easy access from the convention center metro station without needing to walk outside. Rooms face outside or inward to the atrium. Atrium rooms are quiet. Room size is on the small side but well appointed with large flat screen TV that has streaming services too. Internet access is fast and easy. Desk is a little limited in size. Bathroom is shower only but had plenty of light for shaving and makeup. Good sized closet with a safe too. Beds and bedding are typical Marriott quality that is quite comfortable. Staff are friendly. The M Club just opened back up and is well stocked for breakfast and appitizers in the evening.

Lou Costanza: Excellent location. The hotel has a lot of amenities. M Club is open 24 hours and has a delicious breakfast with lots of selections including bacon, eggs, oatmeal, smoked salmon, muffins, fresh fruit, etc. Staff are very friendly. Comfortable bedding, the bathroom is a decent size and there is a safe in the closet. Fast response to questions and/or service requests via the Marriott App. Really like this hotel!

Louis C: Beautiful, modern hotel with a huge lobby, tons of meeting space, and great views of the mall and capital building from the higher floors. Can’t beat the location if you’re going to the convention center. If you have access to the lounge you’re in for a treat. The fitness center is massive with tons of equipment. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Really, all around a great hotel.

Megan Meline: Beautiful hotel, great rooms and bathrooms, quiet and insulated from noise. I would absolutely stay here again. Was super convenient to get to the convention center on cold/rainy days in the underground terminal that connected the two. Loved the water features in the lobby, and the bar was a good size for how many people were always there.

Courtyard by Marriott Washington: what do users think?

Alex Kaplan: Rooms are clean but in need of maintenance. Night staff is rude and useless.

Hoyt Phillips: I was here for one night while in town for work. The check-in process was fast, efficient and friendly. Kathy was great! The rooms are nice, not big but they have everything you need. The view was nice. I ate dinner at their restaurant. It’s very small and not a full service place. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. The service again was very good and the food tasted good. The location of this hotel is great. You can easily walk to many places to eat. I’d stay here again.

Zack Williams: Quality hotel in a great location. The staff was great and welcoming. Any time I returned to the hotel the valets, bellmen, and the receptionists all took a second to welcome me back. The room was clean and comfortable and I had no issues with anything not working. I am already planning another trip back to the area and I am planning on staying here once again.

Courtyard by Marriott Washington, DC/Foggy Bottom: what do users think?

Pam Fitzpatrick: Great location but I am not pleased with the cleanliness of my room. See the photos of stain on the sofa. More disturbing were the fluid marks on the bathroom door frame and light switch. What you see here is after I wiped part of it off with my finger. Glad I had my own Purell wipes with me. Was offered free breakfast as a compensation for this but my preference, particularly as we continue to deal with the health crisis, would be a clean room. I should be staying here for monthly business visits but I will be looking for alternatives even if that means it further walk to the office.

Frank De Jesus: Great staff starting out with valet up to house keeping. Very clean and beautiful rooms. Bistro restaurant serves very good food. All our needs were taken care of...will stay here again 👍

T Smith: Great Foggy Bottom location with easy Metro access and close to George Washington University and GWU Medical Center. Nice hotel with polite staff and parking available by valet only, but parking available... If you have ever been to Foggy Bottom, you understand. Enjoy..!!

Allison Price (Allie): Short visit but perfect for our small family do three. Great location! Clean and welcoming accommodations. Bistro breakfast pricey but tasty! They had a pack n play ready in our room which was so great.

S.K. Tan: I thought that the value was v good for this place. We didn’t valet park (we chose to park a block away at a self park garage). The location was good (near the monuments and also the shops and restaurants towards DuPont Circle). The staff was very helpful during our 2 nights stay.

Lightning: The vicinity to major tourist attractions is amazing. Valet parking is the only option for parking. The service is excellent, cleanliness is maintained and rooms are spacious. Overall, consider this if you are visiting DC.

trisha b: Pros: Location to National Mall Close to restaurants Fridge in room We had a sofa in our room Clean room (I was worried about that after reading other reviews) Helpful staff Business center Pop, water and snacks for purchase Cons: The street is noisy all night making it hard to sleep The bed (King) is uncomfortable, my back hurt every morning The smoke detector has a bright light that flashes and you can see from your bed Homeless living near hotel and you can see from your room Pro tip if you need to hook up a device to the TV in your room, unplug the Ethernet cable, turn tv off and then back on. Now you can pick your input.

AC Hotel by Marriott Washington DC Downtown: what do users think?

Valerie Hudgins: We travel all over the country for work and leisure. Hands down best front desk staff! Jasmine (Jazz) was an impeccable representative of AC Hotels. She greeted us with a smile-we heard even under the mask! She recommended excellent restaurants in the area and was quick to greet and inquire with us every time we walked in from our excursions. This is the type of customer service that makes us want to keep returning and keep recommending. Rooms were a bit small but the prices made up for the lack of space.

Khalid Brown: Stayed here a couple days for New Years The room were clean and everything looked great. Staff was good and good were good. But the best thing is that they enforced the Liberty of what to put on your face. I can look over the fact that housecleaning didnt come the three days we were there if that valet parking was slow. You support Liberty this day and age I will come back over and over

H. Patricia Blackshire: Visited the AC Hotel by Marriott for the FIRST TIME! I was in AWE of the service by the Managers and Staffers. What brought me here was my affiliation with a local non-profit in the DC area. We had the BEST time! Food, drinks were superb. Even their complimentary drinks were outstanding. All of the persons in attendance agreed that we must visit again and SOON. So, for 2022 this place is our new go-to place for happy hours, social business meetings and more. Join us! Hope you visit soon!

Ryan Mathis: Stayed a couple of days for business. No complaints about the room - plenty of room and enjoyed the modern architectural flare. The lobby bar / restaurant was also great with espresso to get me moving and a lovely selection of cocktails. Would stay here again

Jacquelyn Collins: We were going to stay a week but checked out after one night. Non-smoking rooms have been smoked in - that was our first surprise. we went up to the 11th floor for breakfast this morning and were shocked by the terrible service. First, there was no salt and pepper available, second, no cream or real sugar for your coffee, no spoons available for cereal or yogurt, had to eat with a fork, coffee was not fresh, and there were no mugs for your old coffee. We waited a long time for them to come out of the dishwasher and finally gave up and used the mini cups. When we asked about cream or half-and-half for the coffee she said they do not have it and to use the milk, which was low fat and not what we would use in coffee. We finally went downstairs, crossed the street and bought cream at Whole Foods and brought it back for our family. I would suggest you put out salt and pepper packets, spoons, keep a clean supply of cups available, offer water which we did not get, and offer to-go cups for peoples coffee. you also need to give your employees a lesson in customer service, and using common sense. This is unacceptable in a Marriott hotel. We are gold members and travel constantly and stay in hotels often and have never experienced such a huge disappointment in a restaurant/hotel. Certainly not worth $20 for the breakfast and service. Despite the horrible experience, we thanked the lady as we left and we got a nasty glare from her. They were kind and polite upon entering but once we expressed our shock that there was no cream for the coffee and other things, their kindness/politeness faded to annoyance and an almost rude attitude. The fellow who worked the cash register was the only one who would give us the time of day. We asked several other employees who were working there for things and they looked at us with a blank stare like they didn’t understand English and ignored us and went about their business. I have never in my life had such a horrible and uncomfortable hotel restaurant experience.

Steve Tong: Great location. Easily walk to metro stations, get Uber/Lift, or just wander up to Dupont circle or Foggy bottom. Walking distance to the White House too. Room was clean and nice. Service was good. Good tapas from the restaurant on the ground floor. Most people staying are young or the business type.

Charles gehlken: Absolutely amazing. Understands the finer touches. Lounge has an eclectic yet grounded menu. Delicate and delicious. The rooms are extravagantly decorated, yet feel minimal in their incursion into your field of view. My only complaint is the lack of response from the television remotes. In internet mode everything seems to have a couple second delay or no response at all. Otherwise I truly adored the experience and will be returning in the future!

Ashley Vicary: Staff were more than helpful—they were super friendly, thoughtful and accommodating. One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. Facilities and room were also great! Highly recommend.

Mama NYC: The place is not too bad for visiting. But it is a working area so don’t go during weekend. For your breakfast go outside for diner it is good but you can go to different restaurants around. The room is clean with a very good bed. But no place to hang your clothes.

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Washington, DC/Downtown: what do users think?

Elizabeth Long: We stayed here on a Saturday night after a Caps game. There were tons of fans staying as well, which made for a fun post game vibe. The location was phenomenal. I can’t believe how good the value for the location is. The room was very comfortable. I slept awesome, which is unusual for me. Breakfast was decent and I didn’t leave hungry. Parking is not cheap, however, DC parking isn’t cheap and the price of parking for the location/length of time is reasonable. I love that they have valet so you don’t have to drive in circles looking for somewhere to park. I would never hesitate to book here again!

Lovely0714: Great location in the middle of Chinatown! Close to the excellent wok and roll Chinese restaurant! The room was small compared to other Fairfield/Marriott locations, but it’s in a huge city so I guess that’s normal for that area. I’m just used to bigger rooms and bathrooms. But the hotel and rooms looked new and updated. The free breakfast was great except the juice was watery, could not drink it. Staff was friendly and informed us of great food and places to see nearby. Only downside is the parking is only valet. But the valet was so nice and were quick returning the vehicle without damages.

Max Braun: Modern and humble hotel in an excellent location with clean rooms and great breakfast buffet! We had a great stay here for 2 nights of city exploring. The location is just perfect and everything is walkable, the free breakfast was tasty and with variety but it was crowded, served in plastic cutlery and the juice was disgusting. The staff was friendly but not very helpful with questions about the city or restaurants around (I can recommend the "Yard House" which is very near and they have great food and beer) and the valet parking is the only parking option and very expensive with 40/50$ a day. I appreciated the all-day free coffee in the lobby. The rooms were modern and clean with a huge TV - but disappointingly it was not a SmartTV.

Robert Chang: I’ve been staying here a couple times a year for the past 4/5 years and it is consistently a great stay. Super convenient location, and walkable distance to most DC tourist locations. The rooms are nice, nothing fancy but they’ve been updated pretty recently and are quite comfortable. One of the best things about this hotel is it includes a hot breakfast every morning of your stay. And my man Dion is there in the mornings helping out with service. The guy is super friendly and provides a great atmosphere. Definitely recommend this hotel, friendly staff, nice rooms, hot breakfast, excellent location and most of all great price.

Louis C: Just a pretty ok hotel. The AC units are all old and busted/loud. Gym was small but clean. Breakfast was… provided. Streets around the building are dirty and safety is questionable (I had no issues, but definitely got rough at night). Surprising that this place is priced as high as it is, given that there are far nicer places for the same cost nearby. Honestly if the Marriott Marquis down the road is only $50-100 more a night go there, hands down no question.

Elizabeth Olmos: Excellent customer service! When I needed a dairy alternative drink for my daughter the kind kitchen staff helped me have one for breakfast. Thank you for helping her school trip from Houston to DC be a safe and enjoyable experience. I really appreciated the accommodations made for her in this hotel. You know a great place to stay is when costumer service is excellent!

Courtyard by Marriott Washington Capitol Hill/Navy Yard: what do users think?

Kacey Ripley: We stayed here with our two young kids and had a great experience. The bistro took such great care of us at breakfast, and we couldn’t believe how delicious the food was for a little cafe. The hotel was clean and well-maintained which has been our typical experience with Marriott. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, and we were able to walk to the Capitol in just a few minutes. I’d stay here again.

Heather Smith: Overall typical of this brand. Maybe I have to reset my expectations though post COVID. Only cleaned if ask the day before. Ok, got it. But I just wanted my trash removed daily. If full clean not necessary, would like an option to properly dispose of the trash. I was not given soap for sink. Twice. I was given body lotion. Thanks, but I would rather be clean. Bought my own. Nobody was flat out rude, but some staff (mostly overnight) acted like I was an inconvenience. My key kept having issues and needed it reset multiple times. Had issues with the lock not fully working and door would get stuck. I did not park a vehicle on site, but a co worker tried for 1 might and was told full, go park at Whole Foods. Not far, but still a block or so away. At least they had an option available though. Clean, most people nice, location super convenient, felt perfectly safe.

James Garcia: This was without question the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Check in is at 4pm our room was not ready until 6pm. We were supposed to have a roll away. That never happened. There was no parking available. The front desk staff just complains about their situation (we were fully booked last night) and says things like “don’t catch an attitude”. This place is so poorly run.

Remy 2BADD: This hotel saved us from the IVY CITY MOTEL we called other hotels at 9 am to get a room and no one could get us in until 3. Courtyard instantly took care of us our room was ready after maybe about a 15 minute drive they gave us water the rooms were nice and clean everything was neat that night we had a mix-up with our Uber eats the front desk worker and the security guard were awesome I stood down and waited for my food they had great conversation just awesome people thanks again courtyard by Marriott you made our stay awesome five stars! And it was my birthday weekend thanks for coming to the rescue

Andrew Brown: The staff here were amazing with accommodating my early check in and late check out. Everything was clean and the staff remembered my name. Travel can be stressful so these little things count. I look forward to my next trip to the Navy Yard!

mikel myles: Customer Service and Communication is off! Upon purchasing 2 rms for approx $295 for 1 night I was expecting a little better customer service than I received but sometimes it is your own people that treat you in such a rude way. I walked in in a pleasant mood. Happy because it was a big day for me and my son who was going to his prom. I stood in line. Waited and saw how Abdullah treated the guest in front of me. And how the other young lady (a black female) did as well. Both giving their customers a welcome bag that had water and a breakfast bar in it with a smile and pleasant attitude. Upon arriving on Saturday after I had called and spoke with a male (Caucasian or Hispanic) on a couple occasions (1) to check that my 3rd party reservation was there and (2) to also see about using a rm to set up for a couple hours for prom pictures. The gentleman was very kind over the phone and in person. Prior to check in we stopped by. This particular guy said it would be ok for us to use a room told me and the other parent. He never mentioned a time limit or a fee. He had a technician open up the Admiral rooms on the 2nd floor for us to view and pick. We left out of the hotel happy thinking we were good for prom day set up and continued preparing with things such as a ballon backdrop planned to have a small food set up not knowing that when we arrived the following weekend on June 11 upon checking in with Abdullah that we were going to be ONLY allotted 15 mins to set up our balloon arrangement and take pictures plus we were made aware that we should’ve paid a fee for the room. Totally unaware and disturbed by what I was being told. Abdullah said ok I will give you a little more time just know we have to set up for a church coming in the next morning. It was 5/6 pm when guests started arriving. Approx 7:30 pm Abdullah came up to tell us our time was up they needed to set up for the church. Within 10-15 mins we had our ppl come out the room and a couple of the ladies stayed to clean up and set back up the 12 chairs and podium for church as it was. In the meantime I passed by Abdullah several times up until at least 10 pm. He never called me over to discuss anything about the room. Upon check out I called to see if both rooms charged on my card incidental charges were returned. That’s when I was notified by a rude young lady (the black female) that “We are charging your card $150.. the room was a mess!”.. Now I set the 12 chairs and podium up myself.. I saw the young lady carefully pop the balloons and take the confetti filled ones outside to pop. The food we had was pizza and nuggets that was nicely placed on 2 table clothes that we scooped up and trashed. To my knowledge the room was cleaned. A young man working there who had our room changed because the AC wasn’t working told me specifically “Yall are good we just had 1 bag of trash to take out”. So the attitude and the charge was a shock to me at this point! In the end I wish I had taken pictures of the room before we started and after, I wished I would have gotten the first gentleman’s name, I wish there were better communication between everyone regardless of skin color because I paid the same as everyone else and I was not rude even after I was told I could only get 15 mins, and also I wish I didn’t have to come back down to the front desk to get our welcome bags that was given to everyone else with a smile after I purchased 2 rooms at this hotel! End result.. **The rooms are comfortable and if there’s a problem the staff is willing to move you to another room. **For the Meeting Room I was not charged $150/$500 although they tried to charge my card that I used specifically for the hotel fees $150 before speaking to me. It did not work. So the new manager onboard said they just kept the $50 incidental fee. Which I was ok with. She was pleasant and apologized. The principle of the matter is we spoke to someone, came in person prior to our check in date to make sure. We did our part. The Staff should’ve done better and they also should’ve been on the same page.

Tucson Razorbacks: Service is par excellence! Quintessential! Roomy. Easy parking (for fee) nearby for all business class patrons. Recommended. Customer service top shelf! Convenient location!

AC Hotel by Marriott Washington DC Convention Center: what do users think?

Jacqueline Cheng: Overall a cute hotel in a good location, would consider staying here again if needed. Pros: location. Easy walk to most restaurants and near public parking if you need to leave your car for a few days. Beautiful decor, hot water in the shower, modern design, and comfortable bed. Cons: rooms are very small with minimal workspace. Sink area is separate from the shower and toilet. There is a lounge or club on a high floor so you may encounter people coming and going to that.

Leah Threlkeld: We’re only halfway through our stay… the rooms are pretty nice and clean. However, for being a Marriott property (usually very family friendly) this place is 100% not good for kids. We had a local friend join us after dinner for a casual drink by the fireplace and witnessed what can only be defined as debauchery. It was not late night by any means. Prior to 11pm… a fight almost broke out, the police were called… one lady was so drunk she had her head down on a table and involuntarily vomited on the floor, repeatedly. The manager was informed but didn’t seem to do much about the situation. We wrapped up our drinks promptly and headed to our rooms. Our local friend (who’s originally from NYC) said she had never seen anything like this at a hotel bar… Even if we hadn’t brought our kids, we would never stay here again. What a mess.

Olivia Lee: I love rooms without carpeting. You know for sure it gets a better clean. Spacious rooms for something so close to town. Bright well lit bathrooms and clean showers. With enough room for two people to move around inside. Great that lifts are card enabled only.

Justin B.: Really nice hotel! Very friendly and considerate staff. Clean rooms. Not the best view, but a great location. Love the modern look.If I’m ever in the area again I would definitely be back! Highly recommend.

Laura Yasso: I stayed there with my family this past weekend and had a great time. The hotel was clean and better located than I anticipated. There were lots of great options for food in the area and only 20 minutes walking to the White House and mall. The big negative was the social club which was noisy and intrusive. I had to wear noise-canceling headphones to sleep both nights. Glad I had read the reviews beforehand and knew what to expect. The front desk staff could have given me a better-located room because I asked to be on a floor far away from the club and in the end was right under it.

Charles Caruso: Have always wanted to try out a AC property and finally did. At check in the desk agent was very friendly, a house attendant brought towels to our room and he was also very friendly. With that being said I must say I wish I would have read the reviews before staying at this property, typically I do but it was such a last minute trip I did not. The parking lot they recommend across the street is not the most ideal when wanting to feel secure, half the parking lot was blocked and you could only go through the first aisle or through open parking spots, not sure why half the entrance was blocked with no attendant there to get to the other side. Car’s parked however they wanted and the parking was very tight, I’m sure cars get hit a lot in that parking lot. I know it’s not the hotel’s property but if you plan on parking it is not the best parking situation, even the desk agent wasn’t very confident with the parking situation which made me uneasy. We were assigned to the 13th floor which is under the nightclub which was very loud and you could feel the thumping of the music, luckily we brought a fan and it drowned some of the music out. There was a dog around us barking constantly in the morning/afternoon/evening luckily not at night. The shower head on the ceiling had no pressure and the hand held hanging on the wall had so much build up it made some of the jets shoot water out so violently it was dreadful taking a shower, the water constantly kept going cold even though it was on the hottest setting sadly that was the only way to get some warm water. I was truly excited to try out a AC hotel but this was not the experience I was expecting. Typically the highest floor is the best at a hotel but I think at this hotel that is not the case, the highest floor is the loudest and probably the most undesirable.

T CH: Had a great stay at this hotel! Excellent customer service…clean, safe, updated and plentiful plugins…and very contemporary. Rooms were just the right size…not overly spacious, but not New York or European small either. Location was within walking distance to Chinatown and the Center.

Courtyard by Marriott Washington Downtown/Convention Center: what do users think?

Jason Bogstie: The hotel staff are very nice and accommodating. I found the hotel and my room to be clean and comfortable. The hotel restaurant is not all that great, basic food for high prices. I enjoyed my stay however my room had some concerning cracks in the ceiling. I would consider staying again as it is a nice hotel overall.

Jacob Forman: Front desk lady on Thursday at 9 PM on February 3rd didn’t seem like she had the time of day to explain things or be welcoming in any manner. It seemed she had an attitude about me asking questions and it was just so off-putting. Then the next day my other guest had arrive and I had a meeting I needed to attend at the same time and I called downstairs on Friday at around 1 to let him up. As I was just beginning to ask about this the lady said, “no we can’t” in a very quick rude way and proceeding to explain why in a way that was if she didn’t have the time of day as well. I’ve never had this kind of bad service at any hotel…. Typical DC customer service though. The room and everything else was nice but please check with the staff’s attitude. I also called because I left something in my room with no call back from lost and found number. I won’t be recommending this place for anyone.

Stacey Carmo: Nate was Great! Nate was so helpful and friendly when we arrived at the hotel and used the valet service. Nate’s personality was so welcoming and friendly. I watched Nate interact with other guests and co-workers the same way. He is an outstanding worker The warm welcome set the tone for a wonderful visit. I will pick this hotel again because Nate was great! The Marriot is blessed to have employees like Nate that go above and beyond! Thanks Nate!

Corey R: Our experience with this hotel was great. The room was clean and decent sized. The front desk was great and accommodating. The downstairs bar took care of us. Overall great experience...beware of parking though... it fills up fast.

Thomas M. Pino: After checking in I went down to the bar to grab a drink for my wife and me. It took 23 minutes to get two disposable glasses of wine to take to our room. Could not believe that it took 7 minutes and four bartenders to change a $100.00 bill. Was not satisfied with the service. The cleaning lady was nice the next day. I asked for the receipts at the front desk and the attendant only printed one of the two rooms we paid for. She was not very helpful.

Brian Davis: Nice hotel with clean rooms. Friendly front desk staff. Conveniently located within walking distance of many downtown venues. Scenic rooftop chill spot closes early but the 4th floor terrace is a nice 2nd option. No free breakfast included, as typical with Marriott. Limited parking and the valet service is not so great for the price.

Courtyard by Marriott Washington, DC Dupont Circle: what do users think?

Daniel Haba: When I travel, I don’t spend much time in my room. The two main things I do in the room are sleep and shower. The sleep was pretty good. The pillows could be a bit thicker, but overall a pretty good night sleep. But the shower water was at least 20 degrees colder than it should be, even turned all the way up. My wife refused to even get in the shower here because of how cold it was. And during mine, the automatic light in the bathroom turned off mid-shower. It doesn’t appear to have an obvious way to keep it turned on without it sensing motion. Add on lack of things like iron/ironing board, and this hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Hopefully they’ll work out the kinks with the hotel still being very new. But until I know that the hot water has been fixed, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I don’t think very many people enjoy getting out of the shower shivering.

Holly Chin: Come for the location, stay for Tanya and Rinard!! Tanya (the amazing bartender) took care of me during my stay, she was so sweet, social, and friendly. She even offered me her umbrella for the night as I had forgotten mine! She really made my experience special. The front desk staff member (I forget her name), was also extremely polite. This hotel is in a great location, quiet and close to many restaurants.

David Yip: Great location and solid access to good food. Clean and Good size room for the price and a well equipped gym. You can refill your water in the gym, they have a filtered water system. The hotel is new and I did not encounter some of the issues other reviewers wrote about here. I stayed for 3 weeks and I would recommend staying on a lower floor as the water pressure on the higher floors is very weak (no issues with hot water now). The view is ok but definitely not worth paying more than the lower levels. Noise level on the weekends are definitely louder. I did not try the breakfast offering as there is a great bakery 5 mins walk from the hotel (Tattes). I did have beers in the evening at the bistro and Tanya is provides very good service. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

REYNA M. RODRIGUEZ: Super extremely clean. Smelled so good. Very professional staff, welcoming and accommodating. Specially Mark Anthony at reception. We’ve been traveling from Miami and headed to NYC and every night we’ve stayed at a different hotel. This is by far the best stay overall!! Totally recommended!

Karen K: Great location, nice cozy buildings around, walking distance to the historical center. Everything is very new. Staff was helpful. The room was spacious. Missing hot water in the shower, a wardrobe, enough soap, shampoo etc. for the number of visitors as well as daily room service.

Crystal City Marriott at Reagan National Airport: what do users think?

Courtney Michael: This location is absolutely perfect! You don’t have to leave the hotel to access the metro station which is super convenient. Plus, parking in the whole Crystal city area is free on weekends so we didn’t have to pay the expensive parking fee at the hotel because we could just park at one of the free lots nearby. The rooms are clean and spacious. I love that the rooms have the wood floors so it feels cleaner than carpet. I absolutely loved my stay here and this will definitely be my new spot when I stay in DC because I can just walk down to the metro and easily get around DC without ever having to drive.

Reinoso Family: We stayed two nights and really enjoyed the hotel. The room was very clean and really nice. The bed was comfortable as well. It was really quiet inside our room despite the hotel being fairly busy. All staff was very friendly as well. The location is perfect for easily getting into the city via the metro. We will stay here again!

Matthew Hiserodt: Stayed here for a soccer tournament in the area. Rooms were modern and spacious but beyond that I did not enjoy my visit. $35/ night for parking is criminal. My bill was $370 for two nights after parking, taxes and other fees. Rooms had no microwave to try to force you to eat at the overpriced restaurant downstairs. Pool would have been nice but the crazy foreign guy at the front desk made the whole thing a massive headache. Reminded me of the guy from home alone 2; seemed to want kids to have no fun whatsoever. Would not recommend this place for families whatsoever. It’s is a business hotel only.

C. B. Thuss, Jr.: Great rooms and friendly staff. I was here for a conference and it was handled very professionally. You can get breakfast and dinner but no lunch in hotel but they will give you a list of nearby restaurants from fast food to restaurants! Very good fitness room as well!

Mark Robbins: The go-to hotel when my wife and I are in Washington. Location, location, location and a no surprises Marriott room with points and weekend rates. Bring your bicycles because the Potomac path is a block away. Pedal to romantic Old Town, then keep going to Mount Vernon on a sunny day but be alert for runners/baby carriages/young men riding fast. Later, hop on the safe, clean (vs NYC) Metro just underneath the hotel and all of Washington is accessible with a little walking or the shuttle if going from GW to the Kennedy Center.

Richard Cox: This is an older hotel remodeled but with issues. The first room had ac issues and was over 77 degrees, the second room was better. Food was good. Would have gone to the Courtyard or Renaissance had I known.

Thomas Laundon: Was put in this hotel for a flight delay. Got to my room around midnight and there was a urine(or some dark yellow) stain on my bed. Was able to switch rooms around 1am and catch my flight at 5 am. If I were to have paid for this experience I’d be even more furious. But in the future when delayed at DCA; FIND ANOTHER HOTEL

Crystal Gateway Marriott: what do users think?

wayfour96: A well run Hotel. Great location. Rooms are a little small but Clean and good room service . Fantastic Hotel lobby There is pay parking below the hotel. Front desk staff Was very helpful in accommodating polite and attentive an attentive. It was an update visit. Close to all attractions downtown pbonus walking distance to Washington DC Subway

cherry baby: Beautiful hotel in a very accessible area. Very close to the airport and they do offer shuttle service. Parking was not included in the room rate, which was very affordable on the 3rd party site I used to book. Room was spacious and clean. Easy getting in and out of the hotel, no key card needed for front door or elevator. Make sure you clarify what tower your in, it can be a little confusing. Helpful staff. Would recommend

L. Smith: Nice and clean. May I suggest signs in the garage to show newcomers the way to the elevators. Also, please share with Spothero that the shuttle stops at the other Marriott location for additional passengers. Shuttle bus driver, exceptionally nice and shuttle van has comfortable seats.
