Hyatt Place Washington Dc/Us Capitol: what do users think?

Jessica Marie: I stayed here last week. Overall, I had a pleasant time and experience even though I did not get the room I initially paid and requested for. I paid for early check-in and Higher Floor Room. When I arrived I was given a key to a High Floor Room but someone was still in the room. Let the front desk rep know and was given another key to a lower floor room but still had a nice view. Room was clean and roomy enough space for two relax and comfortable. Breakfast was lackluster so don't have high hopes. Hotel is in a perfect location, close to great food spots, grocery store and my favorite Starbucks. 5 minutes from the Metro and Close to Downtown. I will stay here again on my future visits.

Melanie Brown: Hotel is nice, breakfast is good, everything was clean and well stocked. Giving 5 stars because the staff is exceptional! Above and beyond meeting every need and SUPER friendly! Another bonus is the cold water they keep in the lobby. It had ice and was full every time we came down morning or night. What a comfort for busy tourists, especially in the summer. There are drugstores, food and coffee right around the corner. And ubers into all of the tourist attractions were fairly inexpensive. We will be staying here again! dispense in the lobby

Derek Kruger: Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any room. This site will compare countless booking websites and normally will have prices much cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is one of the highest rated in the area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you won't be let down. Pola P: The sheet of the bed was dirty. The road outside was very loud and I could hear every car going by while being in my room. The walls are very thin and I could hear people from the other room almost all evening. The bathroom door was very loud! It was squeaking. The breakfast wasn’t that good. The room was spacious and nice. The air conditioner was very easy to operate. The elevators were very fast and nice!

Sonny Iqbal: I stayed in this location for wife's birthday! The staff was very nice and courteous. They made our stay very special. The place was clean and the room has great views. Special thanks to the front desk staff and the General Manager who was present. I highly recommend staying here. Great location for activities in DC. Close to H street and the national Mall.

Jen Bradley: Pay for the valet or your car WILL be broken into!!! At least a dozen cars had a window smashed out during our stay & center consoles ripped out. They put two holes in my window trying to break in but couldn’t get it to shatter. Everyone else, not so lucky. When I told the front desk they said they tell everyone not to park on the street (when we arrived they said valet or street were the options, no warning whatsoever about the DAILY break-ins and complete lack of police presence). Breakfast was ok. Semi convenient location but not safe (vacant lots flank half the street). Coffee shop across the street was nice. Room wasn’t that clean. Needed a blanket for the pull out couch and had to wait 30 min, as no one was attending the front desk. Phone did not work. Need a key card to gain access to the lobby and to activate the elevator, even in DC that says a lot,

Erika Williams: Personally, this is not what I'm used to for a Hyatt and the 1st night I was very disappointed with the room to the point that I didn't want to be in it at all. However, the front desk staff was very accommodating and moved us to a different room for the remaining nights. The parking situation should definitely be fixed especially since the only true and safe option is to pay $53/night for valet unless you're ok with the possibility of your car being broken into. There were public parking lots available for a fee, but when we drove around those, there were cars already there with broken windows even being right next to the police department, so that should be changed. I also think that based on the location and the environment around this hotel, the price of the rooms should be decreased slightly especially with the limited parking availability. Another issue I ran into was that the room we booked for had breakfast included for an additional charge, but we found out when we got to the hotel that breakfast was included for everybody. However, I do want to mention that we booked through booking.com so I think that was more of a third party issue than the hotel's doing. I don't think I'll stay at this hotel again just because of where I prefer to stay, but I will also be sure to do a better job at using things like Google Earth to check the surroundings of a hotel before making a reservation there.

Melinda White: Stayed last weekend with friends. We booked two rooms and were given rooms 11 floors away from each other one of which was dirty and had no linens on the bed. We called the front desk to inform them and they stated they would have it cleaned while we were out for the day. Came back hours later to the room in the same unclean condition. We went to the front desk to resolve this as well as being double charged. They moved us to a new room and stated they would be discounting the rooms but instead they charged us an upgrade fee. So don't stay here if unless you are looking to be overcharged and stay in dirty rooms. Only good thing was the valet staff. Immanuel in particular was very friendly and helpful ensuring our cars were safe throughout the stay.

uthra pakkiriswamy: Towels were smelling full of smoke! That means they haven’t changed from previous stay or they haven’t washed properly. Whole room was filled with smoke. For 4 people, 1 shampoo and 1 soap was provided. Exhaust fan wasn’t working in toilet. Worst room service in my entire life! Kitchen, valet service was good.

Omni Shoreham Hotel: what do users think?

J MacDrizzly: The Omni DC is a wonderful place to stay while visiting our nation’s Capital. As a guest, It is not uncommon to run into our political leaders, or dignitaries, as many of them have meetings inside the hotel. The old world charm of the hotel, is not lost to mismanagement, or poor upkeep. It’s truly one of a kind. I would recommend this place to anyone. It’s so close to so much, and has some of the most beautiful surrounding streets, large bridges, and enormous towering trees ; that so much of the city has lost with the rapid development. The staff is also very knowledgeable, courteous, and will go out of their way to see you are enjoying your stay. The rooms are spacious, and clean, there is a great little cafe, as well as a restaurant that serves very traditional breakfast. My only complaint, would be that the magnet keys are very easily deprogrammed, so if you can take one piece of advice, don’t let your phone, or any other cards near your key card. Lastly their is a plethora of good, inexpensive restaurants just a stones throw away, as well as a CVS and an exquisite liquor store, that offers a wide assortment of wine and spirits. I could go on about this hotel, I suggest you just give it a visit yourself. I almost forgot about the pool…. Great way to relax and take in some of the natural beauty, while basking in the midday sun. By
Response: Hi J, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful experience at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. We love hearing about our guests experience and are delighted you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit. Amanda Jeffries Marketing & Social Media Manager

Muriel Rand: Charming historic hotel. Room was very comfortable and clean. Good conference/businesses facilities. Service was fine, but very few people available. A bit hard to find the meeting rooms and noone to help. Elevators are tiny and slow. Beautiful lobby and gorgeous gardens behind the hotel. Prefect to sit under the trees.
Response: Hi Muriel, Thank you for taking the time to share your wonderful experience at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. We love hearing about our guests experience and are delighted you enjoyed your stay. Mandy Cluff: Staff was top notch. My flight arrived early, with luggage I opted to go straight to hotel, the front desk was amazing. Got me checked in early with a smile and a promise of getting me taken care of. The room was large and gorgeous, very clean, bed was super comfortable. I walked the beautiful grounds, read outside and had a nice afternoon. I was staying for a conference- all meeting spaces and meals were well done. The staff was always right there when needed at any level. From the doorman, concierge, front desk, housekeeping, wait staff, maintenance.... not one passed by without a friendly smile or a hello. My stay was amazing, can't wait to return.

Michelle Olson: We could not have been more pleased with our stay at this hotel! Upon arrival we were met with a friendly greeting from the doormen. Our bags were brought up by the bellman within 30 seconds of entering our room. From that moment, every employee that we had contact with was friendly & helpful! David at the concierge desk had so much knowledge of the area & was able to get us a dinner reservation at a wonderful restaurant. The gym has a wide variety of machines. The outdoor pool was clean & well maintained. I also like that the hotel is right next to the trails at Rock Creek park, the Metro is a block away, the zoo is a three block walk (or $2 bus ride) & there are numerous restaurants to choose from a block away. My only complaint would be that the bathroom counter was small but that is what you get in a historic hotel.

liz: Beautiful grounds, and great location. The subway is super close by! Staff were okay, nothing special. The bed was very comfortable and the overall room was fine, nothing amazing (which it should of been for the price). I was also upset to hear that breakfast is not included. Considering the price of the room, it really should of been. The hotel seems a little outdated but nonetheless I liked the history behind it. I enjoyed the stay but wouldn’t rave about the hotel. Its not the worst thing in the world having to stay here but for how much I paid I will look at other options next time.
Response: Hi Liz, Thank you for your review and letting us know how we can improve the experience for you and future guests. I hope you choose to return and allow us to improve the experience on your next visit. Amanda Jeffries, Marketing & Social Media Manager

Shelby Pelesky: Attempted to stay here and upon arrival the lobby was beautiful. Unfortunately, that is where the elegance ended. Checking in at 5pm, we received our first room only to find it hadn’t been cleaned - the comforter and sheets were rumpled and pillows on the floor. We were given another room and after opening the door, we were severely underwhelmed. The room was very dated (same as the first) but much smaller than the first room. This room at least had the appearance of being cleaned until you lifted the comforter to find hairs in the sheets. We flushed the toilet upon entry and it did not stop running the entire 20 minutes we were in the room. Additionally, after decided not to stay, the valet seemed to have lost my car keys. We waited for an additional 30 minutes just to get the vehicle. Would not recommend for anything other than a pretty lobby.

Steffon Greatness: Very Nice place. Amazingly friendly staff. Very big rooms. Stayed on the East Side (Promenade). The pool is outside so I didn’t go but I did take a look. The pool was stated to be heated. The bathroom was not what I liked in a hotel bathroom. I didn’t use the curtain the first time I showered and almost started a flood… The drains may need to be updated. It feels really old there. Valet service is $55 a day. Daily Hold of $100 a Night. (Released at checkout)

CD A: This is a 1930 built Grand Hotel. Most of that charm is still found here. My room was large and well appointed. The front desk made for an easy check in and out. The maid service was excellent. A beautiful swimming pool, back terrace off the main dining area to take meals al fresco. I was there for a meeting and stayed a week. The main lobby and dining area are beautiful. As for the location, the Zoo, area with mid priced restaurants of all kinds, and the metro a block away to get around. Excellent price and location. I definitely would stay here again.
Response: Hi CD, Thank you for taking the time to share your wonderful experience at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. We love hearing about our guests experience and are delighted you enjoyed your stay. Sonny Kim: We were absolutely disappointed with everything. The staff from arriving to leaving was completely abrupt and unhelpful. We unfortunately had one of the guests cancel last minute due to testing positive for covid and the hotel staff was completely unaccommodating to put us in a smaller room. The room itself smelled old and damp and only offered toiletries for ONE guest even though the room had two beds and our reservation was for FOUR. The shower ended up clogging up and there were brown stains on the blinds in the bathroom and the staff was able to change our rooms but the next room was not that much better. The staff was also completely unhelpful in advising us on how valet parking worked so we spent the majority of time indecisive on whether to use the valet or find alternative parking. We ultimately were completely disappointed in the amount of money we spent at this hotel and in no way received the level of service to match that.
Response: Thank you for completing the survey regarding your recent stay at our property. By telling us what you liked about your stay and how we can improve, you are helping us deliver a superior experience for you and other guests in the future. I am so sorry that we were unable to meet your expectations. Our hotel offers valet parking only, with the possibility to go in and out anytime. Your comments were shared to our Housekeeping and engineering team regarding the room condition. I hope you will give us a second chance and we will make sure to wow your experience. Sincerely,

Patricia Moss: Knew a convention was coming in yet I wasn't able to get into my room until almost 10pm. Couldn't even get lunch on the premises as it had closed while I was standing in line to check in. Luckily they had a snack bar. The lighting was horrible-luckily I had a balcony to do hair and makeup. Most others did not. No shower caps. Sheets had stains on them-they were clean but with stains. Over $300 a night with stained sheets and no shower cap? REALLY? I get shower caps in hotels for under $100 a night. Then it took several visits to the desk to check out because of "issues". Very disappointing.
Response: Thank you for completing the survey regarding your recent stay at our property. Your business is very important to us and we value your feedback. By telling us what you liked about your stay and how we can improve, you are helping us deliver a superior experience for you and other guests in the future. Your comments were shared with the Housekeeping team to ensure better quality of standards. Shower cap are delivered upon request, I am so sorry that it was not communicated to you. Thank you again for taking the time to complete the survey. We appreciate your loyalty to our brand. Sincerely,

Marriott Vacation Club Pulse at The Mayflower, Washington, D.C.: what do users think?

Andrew Tuttle: This is a very nice hotel. They have all the amenities that are necessary for a great stay. They have complementary tea and coffee in the lobby. They also have many ballrooms that host magnificent parties. When I was staying here, they were hosting the Australian Royal Air Force for some award ceremony or something. They had a party after and I could hear the music from my room on the third floor. Those kinds of things are very annoying. The rooms are very small. They also have two beds that are very small.

Ajay J Mundra: This property is very luxurious. The lobby is quite nice and the chandeliers were very nicely laid out. Additionally, the Christmas decorations was quite good. The check-in experience was good, however, the challenge was getting luggage to the room. Since there is almost hardly any parking space, getting the luggage unloaded and then separately park was car was a bit inconvenient. Regardless, the good thing is that the property did advice that we should find a parking spot in advance nearby. We used iparkit to get the parking garage for our stay. Coming back to the hotel, the room was really nice. The two queen beds were very comfortable and the wallpapers were nicely done. The room was really big and spacious. The coat room and bathroom were also quite spacious. This property is quite close to White House (walking distance) and it is convenient to take cabs to visit museums nearby. Overall, a wonderful experience with Marriott Vacation Club property.

William Collesano: Reps were very pleasant and helpful, facility was clean and well maintained, restaurant food was very good as was service. Only 1 recommendation - place or make available a coffee pot in the room. We often returned late in the evening - no nearby coffee shops or restaurants were open.

D G: Great location. Staff go out of their way to say hi\welcome\good morning. Coffee machine on our floor was broken all week. Club Pulse still closed. Makes little sense blaming covid for it since everything else is open with masks optional.

Murad Omar: Towels not clean. Shower had hair. The hotel staff didn’t think that the first thing they need to do is to apologize vs saying thank you we’ll tell the cleaning staff. Disrespectful

Christine Macaalay: I stay checked out today, very poor service. I stayed in this hotel for 4 days. Air-condition is not working every night, at the 1st they send someone to fix the air conditioning but we were not updated regarding the air conditioning if fixed, when we get back to the hotel at night, its not working. Made a complaint regarding this issue but the front desk just responded that they will make notes and smile. NEVER AGAIN, POOR SERVICE>>

Fred Thomas III: The Mayflower is a fantastic historic hotel. Inside the hotel on the 7th floor is "The Pulse" which is Marriott's vacation club. Therein lays the problem as the vacation club offers a specific type of experience. A hotel is altogether different and unfortunately it's like putting a round hole in a square peg. No pool, no amenities in the room, no store and staff barely knew about the visitor expectations. Again, a great experience if you're looking for a high-end hotel. They do have the Edgar which is the onsite restaurant and full bar. Good food but a bit pricey based. It was too late but had we known the difference there is no way we would have used 2,400 points.

B W: Also no microwaves or kitchenette accommodations so good luck if you want to enjoy any leftovers from eating out..

William Roger: They gave us a squatty little room with a king size bed. At certain times of day you could never get cold water it was always hot didn’t matter which faucet you turned on. The food was below average at the concierge service. I think Marriott needs to take a major look at this hotel and repair fix up the little things. The overall ambience of the hotels quite nice.

Jeong Kim: Rating as a 3.5. Ordered the shrimp and grits and chicken and pancake tacos. Shrimp and grits were good but wished they would load up on the slaw bc needed a fresh crunch esp. for a shrimp taco. Chicken and pancake was okay but nothing out of this world. Was just ckn strip wrapped in pancake.

The St. Regis Washington, D.C.: what do users think?

Lisa: You will hear the food and beverage director before you see him. During our trip, he raised his voice multiple times quite angrily - it was quite concerning to hear him speak to guest service staff in such a way and that he was comfortable enough to do it in front of guests, too. Otherwise, my husband and I had an absolutely lovely stay. Our room was amazing and there were lots of friendly faces. I also especially enjoyed the pillows, and I wish I had thought to ask what type they were as they were super comfy.

Hampus Engstroem: Don't forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a hotel. This website will compare thousands of booking web sites and usually will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the highest rated in this area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure won't regret it. We went to St.Regis afternoon tea to celebrate the cherry blossom season and it didn't disappoint. The place is nice and their tea selection is amazing. It's a set menu. I personally enjoyed the savory part more. While the sweets were well represented and looked amazing, nothing tasted special but the scones. I highly recommend it I just wished that I have the choice of picking what I'd like instead of having little of everything. They offered a to-go box for the rest of the sweets though.

Sade Smith-Edwards: The hotel is amazing and me and my husband went here for the afternoon tea this passed Friday. It was our 5 year anniversary and we were thinking of staying the night after a fun day of hanging out in the city. Our opinion had changed when the person servicing us essentially never addressed me, even when I was the one asking questions. When my husband asked to have champagne, only HE got to taste it and I was blatantly ignored. She had her back to me as often as possible... That is until I was the one paying the check. I have NEVER, and I do mean never, been treated that way in any service capacity. This completely deterred me from book a night there. I'm sure the staff and hotel is wonderful but this was not a good look. And this was our 5 year anniversary. Probably will think twice before considering going here for a stay.

Ghaida Alshabnan: We went to St.Regis afternoon tea to celebrate the cherry blossom season and it didn't disappoint.

Squirrely: Five stars all around. The rooms are elegant, updated, clean, and comfortable. Each staff member I dealt with went above and beyond to help. I was especially pleased with the front desk employee who grabbed me a cup of coffee in the middle of the night when I had to catch an early flight. The location is excellent and there are plenty of restaurants and attractions within walking distance.

J. Jasmine Villanueva: My husband and I took a last minute trip to Washington and decided to take my parents to this facility and couldn't be happier. Rooms and service were nothing short of amazing. The staff at any St. Regis property NEVER disappoints. Oh, and it's literally a 3 minute walk from the White House and restaurants, etc. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is visiting Washington DC.

Sarah Morris: Unfortunately this was a disappointing and underwhelming experience. The hotel is pretty but lacks 5 star service. I have dust allergies and spent most of my time here with a clogged nose which miraculously cleared up when outdoors!! I assume this was to a lack of cleaning of their filtering system. The staff did their best and offered complimentary breakfast but I really cannot excuse having a poor night's sleep in a hotel? Certainly not worth the price ticket and I would choose elsewhere if I return.

Liem Huynh: We stayed for one night in the Metropolitan Suite in June 2022. The room desperately needs renovation and service was nonexistence. Disappointing experience overall. No prearrival email, no response when I emailed the butler service for restaurant reservation, zero communication from the butler during the entire stay. Unfriendly lobby staff, no greeting, had to open the door on my own at times. The Metropolitan Suite was old and in need of a renovation. Dirty pillow cases, worn out carpets, water from faucet smelled a little punky and we even found pieces of shattered glass on the floor. Only positive experience was the check-in, after that everything went down hill. Recommend trying something else while you’re in DC. Much better experience at the Ritz Carltons if you’re a Marriott fan.

Joe J.: Amazing tea experience in DC, probably the best in terms of service, flavor, presentation and selection of teas. The cherry blossom touch is a nice and pleasant surprise. Although it is on the pricey end, definitely recommend!

Ayesha SH: I attended the Whimsy event on April 1. Pros and cons below: Pros: Wine was good. We ordered a Napa cab so it was costly. Ambiance was decent. The best part was their waiters who were super friendly and hospitable. Cons: I was told parking would be validated prior to attending the event. On the day of they refused. We spent upwards of $600 and they wouldn’t validate the parking. Food was ok. I didn’t feel that great later at night. The princess thing was childish, hilarious, and unnecessary. Adults attend these kinds of events not kids. Overall not worth the money they charged us.

Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel: what do users think?

Rebecca C: I would give this a solid 3/3.5 stars. I must admit, since it’s a 4 star hotel, we expected a bit more. I’m going to guess they had to cut some amenities due to COVID. The night staff seemed friendlier than the morning staff. The bathroom was fine (I read a few before going that it was moldy). The water does take quite some time to stop dripping after you turn it off but the pressure was fine. You can definitely tell they used bleach/serious cleaners. Did notice some stains on the shower curtain and bed but could just be from use over the years. The best part really was location in terms of distance from certain attractions. That and the fact that Starbucks was in the lobby (they open early but close early as well). They also have a easy to use and relatively spacious safe. If I’m honest, I can’t say we will be choosing this hotel again the next time but overall, it was a fine experience.

Wesley Sparks: I am a loyal Marriott member, Platinum Elite so far this year. Overall this location is great for Convention Center trade shows. I ate an omelette for breakfast and it was definitely than I expected for a busy morning service time. Did not try the restaurant for other meal times, but the bar is pretty nice and well run. The beer list leaves a little to be desired. Main thing that keeps it from getting five stars is somehow I got placed in a “European” room, which means small bed, small room.

Derek Kruger: Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any hotel. This web site will compare thousands of booking websites and typically will have rooms much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of the highest rated in the area. I've been staying here for years. If you stay for a few nights you for sure won't regret it. This is definitely a four star hotel. The staff are amazing. They were welcoming and accommodating. The room was clean, well appointed and comfortable. I had a nice city view on the 8th floor. Starbucks is conveniently located on the main level. I will definitely be back.

Nikki SKD: No frills as expected, bathroom was clean but bed linens had a very musty odor when we first arrived as if the room had not been used or refreshed recently. Parking was relatively simple (about $30 per day), within walking distance of many sites if walking is your thing. No microwave in room was a bummer since indoor dining wasn't a safe personal option at many locations. If be inclined to stay again if it were for not having a microwave.

M M: The location of the hotel ist great. You can reach most attraction in Washington DC per foot. The staff at the front desk was friendly. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Our room was completely forgotten to be cleaned for one day! Instead of a clean room and fresh towels we got a page long detailed letter of apology. Does this happen possibly often🤔?

Adrienne Bowden: Overall a really nice hotel. Can't use the bathroom in the lobby unless you have a hotel key (I was there for a conference so I didn't have one). Starbucks in the lobby was out of many things. Don't waste your time standing in their line. The hotel food was great

Lou Costanza: This is definitely a four star hotel. The staff are amazing. They were welcoming and accommodating. The room was clean, well appointed and comfortable. I had a nice city view on the 8th floor. Starbucks is conveniently located on the main level. I will definitely be back.

B. W.: Just had a bad three-night stay. The hotel has fancy lobby area, but hotel room is showing its age. Very thin walls with bad soundproofing. Can hear street noises clearly even on the 9th floor, as well as people talking in neighboring rooms. Carpet is dirty. Underground garage for the $35 per day self-parking is confusing, and with rats hanging around too. As a Marriott platinum member, did not feel much recognition at the hotel. They are still keeping the club lounge 'suspended' due to covid, even though pretty much everything else is coming back to normal. The only option they offer to platinum member as breakfast benefit is pathetic: choose between one muffin and one croissant, an oatmeal, and coffee/juice. I asked the restaurant to have these packed to take to my room. Was told to wait, and was simply ignored for about 15 minutes. Finally someone came to ask "muffin or croissant" and left. Waited about another 10 minutes, received it without any drink. Had to ask again for my coffee. By then a couple groups behind me had been greeted into the restaurant, had their breakfast, and left. Upon checking out, the front desk told me that the restaurant gave me $20 credit, which she applied to the charge of my parking. The total charge would be $85 instead of $105. However, in the end, two charges of $85 and $20 were made to my credit card after the pending period. NO credit after all. Just unbelievable.

Carolyn Montoya: I believe this hotel is under rated! I loved my room and appreciated the convenience of a Starbucks in the lobby. I had a rocky flight coming in and the woman in the hotel snack shop was so helpful in finding ginger ale for me! This trip was for a conference, next time would stay here as a tourist as I love the location!

Holiday Inn Washington Capitol - Natl Mall, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?

Wei Y: My recent experience at the hotel in mid March was quite pleasant. The room was clean, decor was fairly up-to-date, beds were comfortable (subjectively), and the bathroom was fairly well maintained. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, this includes the cleaning crew (on the 8th floor) who would give you anything you asked for. The pandemic is not over yet, so I liked the idea of not having staff coming in every day. People complaint about the thin wall, water pressure and the train. I did experience all of the above. The thin wall didn’t bother me that much, it’s usually due to loud neighbors. For the water pressure, I just waited for the others to finish their use then take my turn, the place was packed at the time and everyone was taking shower at the same time. As for the train, the hotel unfortunately situated right next to the track so unless you are a heavy sleeper, the noises could bother some of the guests on the east side. We ended up switching to the other side and it was great! The food at the restaurant downstairs was also surprising. The taste and the price were comparable to the nearby places, if not cheaper. A Starbucks was also attached to the hotel but they do close somewhat early. As for the parking, we didn’t have a car, but once I parked at a hotel in downtown Chicago, it was over $100 a night. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and will stay again for sure!
Response: Wei Y, thank you for staying with us and taking the time to share your experience and feedback with us. We hope to see you again.

tabitha buono: Rooms were decent sized. Our beds and pillows were AMAZING! The air conditioning was very hard to control. We froze the entire time. Also our bathroom had a light out, and only 3 drawers for 2 adults in a double bed room? Had to stay on top of housekeeping too. You have to call down every morning if you want fresh towels, etc. Even with calling, they still forgot. With all that said, I'd stay again. The bed and pillows were AMAZING!
Response: Tabitha, thank you for staying with us. We are sorry that you had a challenge with your AC unit. We are sharing your comments with our staff to help us improve. We hope you will give us another try in the future. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.

Kelly Dias: Pros: Staff were friendly and pleasant. The bedding was clean. Shower head was high enough, temperature and pressure were good. Close proximity to the Capitol, National Mall, and museums. Cons: AC wasn't working on arrival, but maintenance was able to get it back on line. Insufficient towels and only conditioner in bathroom (no shampoo). Room was not served by housekeeping between first and second night, which meant no fresh towels. Bathroom toilet paper holder was partially detached from wall. AC unit had exposed wiring. Connecting door for the suite had a loose handle that meant that we couldn't fully close it without fear of being trapped. The front desk only answered calls half of the time (2 out of 4 attempts). The breakfast fare at the restaurant was very expensive and not the highest quality. Walls are paper-thin, so I got to listen to the couple in a nearby room argue at the top of their lungs well into the night. Unfortunately, there was a music festival in town, so they closed the on-site coffee shop. Streets were blocked for blocks in each direction, so no access for Uber or cabs. In order the get to local attractions, we had to walk 4-6 blocks out of the way to get around.
Response: Kelly, thank you for choosing our property. We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear that you experienced a few challenges during your visit. We hope that you will give us another try in the future.

Joe Hughes: We were so excited to come to Washington D.C. for vacation. I have stayed at Holiday Inn's before and never experienced anything like we did here. Nothing seemed to work. The elevators were not working properly and one day not at all. We wanted to do some laundry and there was no change available and the soap dispenser was out of soap. I wasted a dollar since I didn't see the Out of Order sign that was placed on the side of the soap dispenser. The food downstairs in the café was horrible and it made my wife sick. The 21's amendment restaurant there was not much better. We wanted to buy soda and snacks and they wouldn't except cash. The rooms were cleaned every other day if that. The carpet was filthy and the desk chair was broke. On top of everything, Nobody knew anything when we ask for directions or where anything was. Apparently this Holiday Inn was just sold and in process of a new owner. That still doesn't make it right for this establishment to really put a damper on our vacation. We called security to stop all of the yelling and playing in the hall after 10 pm at night. Our floor was loaded with a group of kids and we finally had to go out there and tell the kids to quiet down. I would look at other options before coming here to stay, Murphy's Law applies here. "Anything that could go wrong will go wrong." I'm sorry that I have to post such a negative review but none the staff didn't make any effort to make our stay enjoyable.
Response: Joe, thank you for choosing to be our guest and taking the time to share your experience with us. We are sorry to hear that this visit was not as great as it could have been. We are using your feedback to improve our services. We are sorry that you left us on this note. We hope you will give us another try in the future.

M B: This was our first time staying at this hotel and it completely served its purpose. First the location - it is across the street from the department of Education and one block from the Air & Space Museum. There is a Starbucks on the corner of the hotel and several restaurants on the same block including a McDonalds. This hotel has a parking garage under it making parking very convenient. Parking fee is charged by the hotel per day and we had in and out privileges throughout our stay. There are two restaurants inside the hotel and a small convenience store next to the front desk. The lobby is more upscale than I thought it would be and staff was nice. We got into our room the first night later in the evening and our AC wasn’t working. We called the front desk and within minutes, a maintenance worker was at our door. He changed out the wall thermostat which didn’t resolve the issue and called for assistance to bring a new AC unit. They changed that out within minutes and discovered that there must be a wiring challenge that would take more time to resolve. They contacted the front desk, got us a new room and they walked it to make sure it was in perfect working condition before bringing us the new key cards. They offered to help us move but we were fine getting ourselves to the new room. This was the only challenge we experienced during our stay and these two maintenance technicians were absolutely wonderful. We forgot to get their names but they were on duty Friday, May 20, 2022 in the late evening. Nothing is a short walk in Washington DC as buildings are huge and the distance is deceiving. Every day we walked more than 7 miles and at the end of each day I walked back to the hotel to pick up the car to pick up my Mom to keep her from having to walk back. All throughout Washington DC, there are bicycles and electric scooters available to rent electronically on the spot to make the walking shorter and to get places quicker. We didn’t use them this time but they are a great benefit if needed. We did not eat in the hotel, but it is wonderful that the restaurants were there if we wanted to. This is a pretty perfect hotel to stay in when visiting Washington DC and we will most likely stay here on our next visit and recommend that you consider it as well. We didn’t take photos of the hotel, but it was very nice, clean, comfortable beds and we felt safe.
Response: M B, thank you for choosing to be our guest. We appreciate your feedback and are delighted to know that you had a great stay. We appreciate your feedback and will be sure to share your comments and feedback with the team. We hope to see you again, next time you are in the area.

Hyatt Regency Washington On Capitol Hill: what do users think?

Maureen Jackson: Staff were beyond friendly and always smiling. Made our stay very enjoyable. Rooms were clean and so quiet. The restaurant was awesome from the breakfast to dinner. We ate a few times in restaurant and the wait staff remembered us and made it very homey. Quality of food was excellent. Never had a bad meal. Best hotel experience for us in a long time. Within easy walking distance of the mall
Response: Hello Maureen, We are glad the staff made your stay enjoyable, that is just wonderful! We are happy your experience staying with us was the best hotel experience you have had in a long time. Thank you for your kind comments they are truly appreciated, we hope to welcome you back soon! Best Regards, Anisa

Lisa Van Aartsen: Service excellent, rooms clean, like the efficiency yet stylish way it is styled. Lights too bright in the bathroom and unable to decrease. Used a bath towel over the light to dim it down. Would be nice to have bottles of water in room to go with coffee maker... right? Grab and go currently for meals at the restaurant. Not much for choices. Very nice store including Starbucks coffee, very appreciative of that. Sheets very smooth, pleasant, bed comfy, could be better, could be worse. Nicely located. Will go again.
Response: Hello Lisa, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback on your recent stay with us. We do apologize for any inconvenience the lights in the bathroom may have caused you. We are glad you thought the bed was comfortable and happy to hear you liked the location. We value our guests' insights and feedback so we can improve our operations. We hope to welcome you back soon! Best, Anisa

Jeff Ery: Room was awful. Beds were super soft and the room temp was set at 65 but I felt as hot as fish grease in lent. Woke up in a sweat every night. Location was awesome though. Breakfast was good too. Bar has stiff drinks. The room though.... Yech.
Response: Evening Jeff Ery, Thank you for the honest feedback of your stay. We appreciate all guest comments and feedback. We are working on making changes and will be updating our hotel in the near future. Glad that overall other than the room, your stay was enjoyable. Tonia

Brendan Williams: Location, location, location. And don't they know it! In all the years I have stayed there for conferences it feels like only the lobby has been updated. Rest of the property is very dated. Careful in adjusting your shower head that you don't pull it out of the wall. But your room will be clean, and, again, location.
Response: Evening Brandan Williams, We appreciate and respect all guest comments and feedback. We also appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. Thank you for continuing to patronize our property. We are working on having renovations done in the near future. Tonia

Kim Jensen: We had a wonderful stay and everyone was so friendly. If I ever go back to DC this is where I would stay again. Word of warning, make sure you know what direction you're heading when you leave the hotel. In one direction you get some pretty bad vibes and have some shady characters that'll start following you. And the other direction there's a wonderful shopping and restaurants and all the tourists spots. The hotel was lovely and we appreciated our stay.
Response: Hello Kim Jensen, Thank you for your kind review! I'm so glad that you had such a wonderful experience at our hotel. We appreciate your feedback and thank you for your tips for other future guests. We are flattered that you choose to stay at our hotel for future visits to DC. We can't wait to welcome you back! Best Regards, Toya

Brenda Orffer: The Hyatt Regency is a great location for easy access to capital buildings (meetings), great food and restaurants, and to DCA Airport. Right now, April 1, the hotel is not offering room service, and housekeeping is not provided unless requested. Otherwise, things seem to be all systems go. Masks are encouraged but not required. The hotel has hand sanitizer stations throughout as well. The desk and office chair in the rooms are not well matched for height. Very uncomfortable seating for a long period of time. Thankfully there is lots of lobby and social space to find a place to work more comfortably. There is a small fridge in the room, but no water is stocked in the room. You can get bottled water from front desk and valet desk if you request it.
Response: Dear Brenda Orffer, Thank you for the feedback on your visit. We are happy you enjoyed our convenient location to the nearby restaurants and the airport. We appreciate the insight on our desks in the guest rooms and are pleased you were able to use the space in our lobby area to work comfortable. Thank you for staying with us and we hope to welcome you back soon! Warm regards, Tonya

Melissa Lutz: Nice hotel near the Capitol. Room was not huge but was comfortable. A little pricey, but the location was very convenient to the Mall. Don't park at the hotel...you can park for a third the cost at Colonial Parking Garage around the corner. Staff were all very nice and accommodating.Would stay here again.
Response: Hello Melissa Lutz, Thank you for leaving us a review. I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. It's always great to hear that our staff were all friendly and helpful. We appreciate the parking tip. I hope that you will stay with us again soon! Best Regards, Toya

InterContinental the Willard Washington D.C., an IHG Hotel: what do users think?

Kelly McCarthy: Beautiful hotel. Tradition and old Washington charm surround you. Next to the White House. Built in 1918 there are so many beautiful details. Don’t miss the Famous round robin bar. Check in with seamless and the customer service was exceptional. The rooms are spotless and much of the staff has been here for generations. I highly recommend this hotel.

Hampus Engstroem: Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your hotel. This website will compare thousands of booking web sites and normally will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of the best in this area. I've been coming here for a very long time. If you stay for a few nights you definitely won't be let down. We spent the night here before the Easter egg roll at the white house. It was exceptional. Easy to get in everything was right up front. You do pay for a premium but due to the location it was well worth it. The room was clean and nice. We had the high tea and that was quite the experience. If you go during the Cherry blossom festival we have the option of drinking tea with the Cherry blossom cuttings and that was quite the experience. I would highly recommend this. We only had pastries and coffee from the cafe and they were good. It is a five-star hotel.

J Kazlauskas: The water for the toilet ran all night. The hair dryer did not work. There is a label on the room's small refrigerator stating you cannot use it for personal use unless you notified the hotel to come up to the room, empty their contents & let you use it. The valet parking, luggage handling, front lobby & cleaning staffs were very nice, friendly & fast. The lobby & outside premises were very nicely decorated for the Christmas season. Various groups performed caroling & jazz over the days we were staying there.

Hugh Shoff: We spent the night here before the Easter egg roll at the white house. It was exceptional. Easy to get in everything was right up front. You do pay for a premium but due to the location it was well worth it. The room was clean and nice. We had the high tea and that was quite the experience. We only had pastries and coffee from the cafe and they were good. It is a five-star hotel.

Catherine Petty: Tea was lovely!! Would recommend highly for any events you have coming up. The staff was great, very helpful and the food was delicious. Surprisingly filling for it being so small. They even offer gluten free options. The harpist was also a lovely touch - she played beautifully. Will be back, especially around Christmas time!

Jess S.: I stayed here for thanksgiving back in 2019 and had a bit of an issue with concierge… the issue has since been resolved and taken care of… and all in all the room service was good and the hotel smelled fine. The hotel is beautiful but in a vintage way but … Flash forward to Feb 2022, I walked into the hotel to use the facilities and even with my mask on I noticed the lobby and hallway to the had a strong musty odor like that distinct moisture damage odor not saying that the hotel has moisture damage…but it’s clearly old and smells as such…and is in need of a renovation While I will most likely will stay at the Intercontinental in DC again in the future it will definitely be at the newer location at the Wharf

S R Das: Disappointed to see that the service at this storied Washington DC hotel has fallen substantially. This was my first stay here since the pandemic started. At the middle of the day - a busy time - there was only 1 person at the front desk. She seemed unsure of what she was doing, calling repeatedly for advice. I was second in line and had to wait 20 minutes. The line, meanwhile, was growling. Even though people asked her to get help (a second person), she ignored that. I found out later she had overcharged me (100 dollars more on the credit card, she added the deposit.) Yesterday when I got in at 950 pm thanks to a delayed flight, the front desk said that the kitchen was open for 10 minutes and would take my order. In the restaurant, however, the waiter said no. All in all, a less than ideal experience. As the person behind me said, no longer a 5-star experience and doesn’t justify the steep price.

The Ven at Embassy Row, Washington, D.C., a Tribute Portfolio Hotel: what do users think?

Derek Kruger: Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any stay. This web site will compare countless booking websites and normally will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is one of my favorites in the area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you definitely won't be let down. Location was perfect! The staff was amazing! There is an art gallery in the basement! The rooms were nicely appointed. I enjoyed being able to walk around the area and seeing all of the different embassies. I will definitely stay here when I visit the DC area. They charge a nominal destination fee and I loved all of the amenities you are given to offset that. The bar service and offerings were great!

Stacie: Location was perfect!

James Walston: Absolutely would stay here again. Comfortable, well-appointed, valet parking on site, and in the perfect location at Dupont Circle. The staff was friendly and very accommodating, especially Eli and Lyle. They have a 24-hour gym and game room, too. Hopefully I can get back here in the summer and try the rooftop pool. Thank you for a great weekend!

Elaina Genthe: I stayed for three nights during the Cherry Blossom Festival. Staff was great. The man at the front desk with the beard was especially kind and Jorge the bartender. At the restaurant/bar, I had a beautiful, delicious espresso martini, a salad and the Mac and cheese. It was all delicious! My only complaint is about the rooftop. I wasn’t made aware that it was open or closed, but a previous reviewer had pictures of it so I tried to go up one day but the door was locked. I wish staff would have mentioned the details upon checkin.

Britney Sutton: I had a crazy experience coming to DC we were supposed to stay at a completely different hotel but something happened with the third-party company and we were switch to this hotel. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by Eli who has made this experience extremely pleasant. The hotel is nice but we all know customer service can make or break your experience. Eli and the rest of other friendly service rep I greatly appreciate the experience. With the exception of the late night hotel rep that was kind a rude and parked my car in the wrong spot Mr. brown coat. 🤗

M B: Stayed here with family for my birthday weekend. The ambiance of the hotel was beautiful, great place to get Instagram photos. Wonderful amenities - restaurant with TVs, fitness center, roof deck, game room and a mini art gallery. The rooms were comfortable and our views were gorgeous. The location is great too, right next to the Dupont circle metro. Frank R and his team did a great job of welcoming us. From the moment he arrived he helped us get our car valeted, luggage up to the room and even had a bottle of wine, chocolate and a handwritten note for us! Thank you Frank R and team, you made our stay so special!!

Ido Simyoni: My new favorite hotel in Washington DC. The staff are super friendly, kind and caring. Each one of them gave us a warm welcoming feeling. They gave us friends bracelet (ven in danish means friend). They have valley parking, nice gym and also Amazon lockers inside the hotel). Jennifer was our favorite stuff member as she was the one to check us in and take care of us. Location was great. There’s a cvs and couple of coffee shops near by (check out Emissary). They’re also dog friendly and my best friend got a nice comfy bed too for our stay. Only one thing that bothered me is the hearing was probably one of the loudest I’ve heard.

WanderlustBeauty Dreams (WanderlustBeautyDreams): Loved my time at this property. The hotel is situated in an amazing location and loved how walkable the area is. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The king room with city views was spacious and perfect for my weekend stay in Washington DC, highly recommend booking a stay here!

Jr: I will never stay at this hotel ever again. Not only were the rooms small but I paid in advance for my stay. I was charged almost $1000 additional on my card with no explanation of what the fees were for. The hotel said that their merchant ended up releasing my funds however it has been a week now and there is still a hold on my funds that i cant access. The charge caused my account to have a negative balance. I had planned a vacation trip to DC and this caused a major inconvenience causing me not to have any funds to use which ruined my vacation trip. I would not recommend this hotel.

Meredith Robinson: Paid over $400 for a 2 night stay in a room with the lowest ceiling I've ever seen in a hotel. The AC/heat (and plumping from upstairs) was so loud I had to purchase ear plugs to sleep through the night. I wanted to like this hotel, the staff were very nice and the lobby/ design was lovely. But I felt so nickel and dimed by the end of the trip (especially with the stupid daily $28 mandatory food charge), that I just didn't feel like I got what I paid for.

Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC: what do users think?

julie c: We just spent the weekend here and loved the entire experience. The room was nice, clean and stylish but the people are the ones who made it a great visit. We were greeted by any employee we came in contact with, by name when they knew it. The bartenders were great, remembered our drinks from the first night, took time to converse with us despite how busy they were. We will gladly return on our next trip to DC.

Kimberly W.: Our family has celebrated many special occasions at this property. The entire staff, especially Nicole, are the absolute best! They always remember us and provide the most impeccable care during our visits! I highly recommend this property, the ambiance and amazing staff ensure we always return!

MBK Wise: Very nice. Great location. A variety of settings to receive guests and discuss casual business meetings. They have formal merging rooms too. The staff seem to be genuinely nice and helpful. It's a little classic and old.

Betsy Juhasz: My daughter's wedding was at the Four Seasons. I have never had such exceptional service. The food was beyond amazing, and the attention to detail was perfect. The Four seasons took care of every detail so we were able to show up and enjoy. Every member of staff was professional, polite, and top notch. I can't thank them enough for making this the most beautiful wedding we've ever been to.

Joe J.: Most likely the best hotel in Washington DC. The experiences are top notch, from the brunches on Sundays to the ambient spa treatments, this hotel is the epitome of a 5 star hotel. Definitely check it out!
Response: Yusuf, thank you for taking the time to share your rating!

Aisha Lynette: After the sudden illness and transition of my father I needed a staycation. The staff at the Four Seasons was absolutely incredible. My every need was met. Kudos to the team.

Sharon Walker: Learned they offer spa services.and that the all you can eat buffet is on Sundays only between 11am and 2pm.

Aaron Grey: Celebrated wedding anniversary with Sunday Brunch, and it was absolutely great! So much variety, great food, great service...just everything was great!

Dasha Zhukova: Full disclosure: I have worked with Four Seasons for some time but this was a personal visit for my family and I. I had high standards and Marc and his phenomenal team did not disappoint. Housekeeping, concierge, reception, and dining were all top notch. Their team had done their research on me and my family from my many other stays with their properties and applied their knowledge subtly to my stay. They are magicians of the hospitality industry and set a standard for others to aspire to.

Brian Peddie: Great drinks and service. Iconic bar with a lively but professional setting.

The Westin Georgetown, Washington D.C.: what do users think?

Maria Rogers: 2 stars because they are not very helpful with room block requests for our wedding. I made multiple phone calls chasing after the sales manager/director (Tanya). Even though she was nice and sweet, she was not able to help me at all. We went over the number of rooms, the types of rooms we need (suites were the MOST important rooms we need) and the details for our wedding but she continue to fail to meet our requests. She was not very clear with the room block process. The agreement letter and the link we supposed to receive via email for the room block was taking weeks to get, so I called and they said "we've been behind on assigning rooms for the other room block requests but you will receive the letter sometime this week". Then this week, she sent an email stating that they don't have the suite I requested and they can only reserve one suite (which is NOT going to work). So, it took you weeks to tell me that the suite I requested is not available? To summarize my issues, 1. There’s no attention to details when it comes to customer service. 2. No clear explanation about the room block process. 3. No follow up phone call about our requests. I/We will not be staying at this hotel for our wedding.

Derek Kruger: Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your resort. This site will compare hundreds of booking websites and usually will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This place is the best rated in the area. I have been staying here for years. If you decide to stay here you definitely will love it I'm sure! We got locked out of the parking garage (which btw, please never park in if you are not a hotel guest). Kyle went above and beyond to help us exit the garage that had closed without warning, when we weren’t even hotel guests. True human kindness does exist.

Francesca Leo: Classic hotel in a convenient location close to Georgetown and GW. Only issue is that when we arrived at our room, we noticed items from the mini bar were opened and half eaten/missing. We reported this to the front desk and they sent someone up immediately to take care of it. However, the items were never replaced and we were charged. The charges were removed as soon as we spoke with the front desk again. Everyone was kind and addressed our concerns timely and appropriately. Would return.

Danny Cawood: Stunning lack of customer service and professionalism displayed by the Westin Georgetown; they said that they'd email me a receipt of my stay, and I never received one. I have tried to contact them via phone no less than 5 different times this week. On Monday, I simply sat on hold (never spoke to an operator or anything) for more than 30 minutes, TWICE, and ever since Monday I just keep getting a busy signal from them. They charge WAY too much for this kind of customer service, and I will not be staying here again.

Donny Sheinwald: Be careful. I parked underground and they hit me up for $56.64 per night even though i paid $24 a night to self park. They also hit me up for $38.92 for a small chardonnay in the fridge. when i opened the fridge, it must have moved because i don't drink. I've called Marriott 4 times, got international people each time and have been hung up on each time mid conversation. I am going to dispute charge with credit card, but no customer service. And you can't physically call the hotel directly.

Tony Moore: Great location for walking into Georgetown and Dupont Circle. Nice little pool, which we used on two hot days. I always miss a bar and restaurant in a hotel, so that's the only strike.

Natasha Pradhan: We got locked out of the parking garage (which btw, please never park in if you are not a hotel guest). Kyle went above and beyond to help us exit the garage that had closed without warning, when we weren’t even hotel guests. True human kindness does exist.

רועי שפושניק: Nice hotel, nothing more Large rooms, but in the corona era, feels like it's an apartment building not beyond. Quite mediocre service, mostly by the staff at night but apparently that's the standard in the hotel. As a regular guest of the hotel chain, I expected much more

Thomas G: Nice centrally located hotel. The rooms are roomy, and the bathroom is huge. But disappointed that on-premise restaurants are currently closed, including no option for breakfast.

Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center: what do users think?

matt Davis: National Harbor in I would go back to this hotel again in a heartbeat! Let me start out by saying, that I'm usually a person that likes to explore new places, and rarely return to places I've already been due to this. This hotel would be one I would return to- Absolutely beautiful. Well kept building and grounds, lots of activities to explore and view. I love that there was shopping with in the hotel, a great marketplace amazing. Super clean and wonderful staff. This is probably one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever see the glass elevator is nice the view is breathtaking the rooms were very nice and had lots of space 👍 The people that work here are exceptional, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They led us in all the right directions, and front desk was very nice 😊

Ryan Jensen: Nice hotel with a lot of inconveniences. The room are great; goof climate control, comfortable bed, and quality towels, etc. The problem is that the hotel is not set up for a normal traveler. It is a convention center primarily so if the event is co-located at the hotel, it's great. If you're visiting DC and want to stay here for the nearby restaurants and easy access to the Maryland side, go elsewhere. First of all, checking in is a process. It took me probably 30 minutes to get to my room even though I had made a reservation. There are long waiting lines at the check-in desk, and even though I'm an elite member, there was only one employee handling the check in. Even after check-in, the hotel layout is so confusing it took me a minute just to find the elevators. Second was the parking garage; it is a hike to get to and very expensive. Third was the "resort fee." This is a sneaky way to charge you $22 more a day for your stay. They say it includes dry cleaning and some other things but its a poor facade for an excuse to nickle and dime the guests--if I want dry cleaning, I'll pay for it separately. I was originally planning on staying there for an entire week, but decided to check out on the second day. I was excited to stay at this top rated hotel due to its location and surrounding amenities, but I'll never be staying there again.

David Blumberg: Loved this place! We stayed in their upgraded Suite and it was fantastic. Well appointed, shower pressure was strong, loved it! Beautiful building. Only minus was the loud laser show in the evening which was really annoying from our room…… also the Pool leaves a lot to be desired. The floor of the pool is terrible!!! Rough surface like unfinished concrete. People - GET IT RESURFACED SMOOTHLY!! It’s only a bit over 3 feet deep so very shallow for a real pool.

Hampus Engstroem: Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a hotel. This website will compare thousands of booking websites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This hotel is the best rated in the area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few nights you won't regret it. National Harbor in I would go back to this hotel again in a heartbeat! Let me start out by saying, that I'm usually a person that likes to explore new places, and rarely return to places I've already been due to this. This hotel would be one I would return to- Absolutely beautiful. Well kept building and grounds, lots of activities to explore and view. They led us in all the right directions, and front desk was very nice 😊

Rick A Fogerty (Cowboy Rick): I attended a large national event here. The front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable. The room I was in was nice and clean, and quiet. The conference facilities were top notch. It was super convenient that they had an on-site shop with relatively inexpensive grab-n-go snacks/meals. I really enjoyed the soups.

Tony Cooper: The bed was comfy, and I slept well. The amenities were fine, although darned near everything was way overpriced. A small breakfast for two was almost $35, and was all takeout. Aside from that, the staff were all wonderful, very helpful, and easy to work with. The resort is very large, hence there's a ton of walking of your in the furthest rooms away from the atrium, conference rooms or lobby. And we were. Overall it was fine, but I can't give it a five.

Amy Johnson Gerhardt: Best wallpaper out of any luxury resort I've ever been to. It would have been nice if there had been a complimentary coffee bar for the morning at least even if there wasn't a continental breakfast. I guess I assumed because the place was so nice that I'd atleast get breakfast out of it....alas, No such luck. There are great alternatives within walking distance to the insane cost of eating inside the resort. But again, the wallpaper. Good enough to get five stars in my book.

Shannon Oh: Beautifully appointed hotel & conference center situated right on the Potomac River just south of D.C. The service was phenomenal; from the valet & bell to the housekeeping & restaurant staff. Very large place, so bring comfy shoes. NICE food selection at onsite & nearby restaurants. Cool 80's themed top floor bar. Of course, you get what you pay for with this one. Not much pricier than other hotels in the area, but pretty high cost overall. Parking costs a good bit, too.

G R Houston-Jack: I enjoy the Gaylord brand because it's really close to a one stop shop experience. I was shocked this wasn't like the other locations. My room was clean and accommodating. The bathroom was nice, but a little on the petite side. It took a minute to find our room because we were given a room number that didn't exist. Honest mistake...no big deal. I was shocked to see only one person at the elite desk. Of all the places to wait, that shouldn't be the place. The amenities are fine. I wish there were more places to eat in the restaurant. The food store is waaaaay overpriced. We splurged one night because we were too tired to go out. It was pricey. Overall, it's a nice hotel.

Brian: I went for a college graduation ceremony. I did not stay at the hotel. The traffic to get in-and-out was absolutely insane. The traffic management to get in-and-out of the parking garage was non existing. At 1 point it took about 20 minutes to go 20' in the garage. The hallways in front of the ballrooms with all rooms where the ceremonies were held were so crowded that everybody was doing the Penguin walk and it took 30 minutes to go a few 100'. I think the fire Marshal should look at this arrangement because if there were a fire it would have been disastrous. Overall a very negative experience.

Hotel Washington: what do users think?

Jacob Lopez (JL): I wish I could give 5 stars! The view was fantastic and the lobby. It’s central to so many activities and restaurants to choose. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s kid friendly. The location is key! The sink was very small, and breakfast needs to improve. The hotel room didn’t have a food menu! When checking in… the concierge didn’t provide me with any information regarding hotel amenities!

Doug Dickinson: Highly recommend this Hotel. The location is perfect, close to all the main DC attractions. The staff was amazing, very helpful and friendly. The rooms were nice and very clean. The best park of the hotel is the rooftop restaurant and bar that overlooks the White House. Went there for a few drinks at night. The music was good and bartenders were great.

Cesar Desouza: We didn't stay in this hotel. We had a plan to have lunch in the rooftop, to appreciate the amazing view of the Washington monuments. But, it was closed and open after 5 pm. We decided stay in the bar for a while. Alex the bartender is a very friend and professional guy. The drinks and appetizers are very well done. We returned from our hotel at 8 pm to have a dinner. This place offer a very amazing view. Unbelievable view. Our food was delicious and healthy. The staff very gentile. We had a very good time and recommend all tourist to visit this place.
Response: Hello Cesar, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience at our hotel. We are thrilled to hear you loved our beautiful property and cant wait to welcome you back. Alex, and all of our associates, will be very happy to read your comments, and actually read how they are impacting not only hotel guests but patroons as well. Thank you, Guest Service Manager

Peter Grambs: This is a great property in a great location. Newly renovated and it shows. Room was fantastic (we got a slightly larger King) with great views. Loved the rooftop bar. Front desk staff was great and took an extra moment to find us a room with a view. The location is right in the middle of things - walkable to the mall and all the museums and right across the street from the White House. Lots of restaurant choices nearby too.

James Wills: Stayed for a two day trip to DC sightseeing. Fantastic central location to the Mall. Service was great and rooms were spotless! Definitely recommend! Gym was new and had a range of cardio machines and weights. Showers in the room were very funky to! The roof top bar provides great views across the White house park opposite.
Response: Thank you for staying with us! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Please come see us again.

Yuhan Wang: Stay here if you can accept its price. The location is perfect. The room is a little bit small, with a super super tiny sink. But you can feel the small details that they provide in the room. One of the staff at the front desk is not very friendly. The room inside is very clean, but they definitely need to clean their windows. I could barely see the outside buildings clearly with that much dirt on the window.

Amanda Mingard: Location is great. Service is hit or miss. Checked in with Mary and she was awesome and let me into the room early as I had three small kids. Requested a pack n play but it came with no bedding so I had to remedy that. Then one of my kids spilled a water bottle all over their bed. At 4:30 I called the front desk to see if house keeping would be coming soon. The guy who answered was rude and abruptly said we weren't scheduled for service. We were only there two nights but at more than $400 a night, I expect to get housekeeping if we want it or at least to be told that we wouldn't get service during our stay. I don't expect new towels and linens daily but the shampoo and conditioner were not even large enough for 2 days for 1 person, let alone a family and obviously a coffee bar and water refresher would have been nice. Ultimately we bumped into a housekeeper on the way to dinner and explained the bedding and she was super kind and got the kids a dry comforter. The guest services guy who answered the phone should find a role that doesn't involve dealing with people.

John Haines: The best part of the Hotel Washington is definitely its extremely central location in DC, it is near virtually all the sights. The front desk is not vey good, the three times I interacted with them they barely gave me the time of day. At one point I forgot my key in my room and asked for another and the person at the desk glared at me and gave me the new key without saying a word. The room was fine, although the view out the window was literally staring at a concrete wall. There is also no easy way to find out about the amenities for the hotel, I had to call the concierge multiple times for simple questions like how to order room service or the housekeeping hours. Overall the hotel is fine, but for the price I do not think it is worth it, if you are going to spend 400$ a night on a room you might as well go someplace a little less barren.
Response: Hello There John, Thank you for choosing our hotel for your recent stay in DC and thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We truly value your feedback as it helps us improve for future guests experiences. Please know your experience is not typical as we strive to provide all of our guests with the best levels of service. We will certainly use your comments as a coach opportunity and share with our team. Should future travels find you back in DC, please contact a rooms manager directly and we will ensure your stay is nothing but flawless. Thank you, Cirkya Burgos

Kim Sousa: We booked our stay here for a high end experience. Due to the hotel hosting large wedding parties, guests were disrespectful with their noise level to the point that it woke me up out of a dead sleep and the noise went on passed midnight. I called the desk and they sent security which appeared to only make guests even more disrespectful. Then a second wedding group had well over 10 people in their room and were cheering and being so loud even in the hallway. After my first complaint to the front desk it took at least 2 hours until the noise was finished. When we spoke to the manager the next day he gave us 50% off that night of our stay ($250– we are talking a $500 per night room plus tax). He also added that noise after hours is considered 2am…. I think that is pretty late for a high end hotel. To top it off, when I got home I noticed a really nice expensive leather bag I never even took out of my suitcase during my stay, went missing. The only people alone with my suitcase during my entire trip was housekeeping (i brought a small carry on suitcase). I called the hotel lost and found as soon as I got home and the hotel said to call the next day at noon because housekeeping did not claim anything into lost in found yet….. The hotel itself is a work of art, staff were friendly (for the most part), and location is near most museums and monuments. But locked up your things and hopefully you are a party animal. Pretty disappointed since it had been a really long time since I travelled for leisure.

Amanda Baggot: Stayed here a few weeks ago and the proximity to everything is perfect! Only a couple blocks from the White house, Monument and Lincoln memorial. It's a little more of a hike (just walking) to some of the museums but most are within a mile! Hotel is upscale and the rooms were small but VERY clean! Only minor complaint was that the bed was a bit lumpy, but not really that big of a deal!

Waldorf Astoria Washington DC: what do users think?

Adam Brozowitz: Coming here was the best decision!...our expectations were blown away and to say this place is FORBES 5 star Rated is and understatement. I would give it 10 if I could. Every person we interacted with gave over the top service and the rooms were to die for. In room Dining was somthing out of a movie and the view of the inside of the hotel was extravagant. Definitely will be returning in the future.

Ken F: Great stay, excellent hotel staff. We were there for the wedding. The hotel is pricey but for events such as wedding where we had discount code it worked perfect for us from price perspective.

Franklin Tumasang: Excellent and unique service. I enjoyed one of the best Birthdays of my life at this Hotel. From the reception right up to the BLT restaurant, everything was top class and top notch. My server for the day; "Jaime, I'll never forget you in a moment. Thank you". This is the place if you're looking for a Great Venue for your event! Recommend!

Christin Myers: The bar price gouges. A Toki old fashion is MORE than an entire bottle of Toki. Outrageous.
Response: Hi Christin Myers - We're very sorry we failed to meet your expectations. Can you please reach out to us at https://help.hilton.com/s/contactsupport to tell us more about your stay? Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback, and we do look forward to hearing from you.

Joe Bellofatto: In our first stay at the Trump International in Washington, DC, my wife and I were spoiled the moment we arrived. From the valet service, to the door man to the hotel staff, our visit was perfection. The interior lobby area is beautiful (as is the building itself) and despite our plans to try local spots for a last drink and bite to eat, we instead rested in the hotel's lounge and ordered from the menu at Benjamin's Bar due to the terrific food and relaxing atmosphere. On our first night we dined at the hotel's restaurant (BLT) and we weren't disappointed with the choice as the meal was delicious and the service top rate. We loved our room and all the little extras found waiting for us there. No, I wasn't paid to write this and I have no financial stake in the hotel. In our travels my wife and I have stayed at some fine hotels, be they Marriott, Hilton or Regency, and despite how wonderful some of them were, the Trump International surpasses them all, easily.

R O: Great hotel. Lobby service is great. Ask for Andre.

Jamie Griffin: Beautiful architecture on this building. Did not walk inside.

Pepe 18: Stopped in to see the hotel and have a snack on a cold weekday afternoon. Like all of the Trump properties I have been to the staff was well trained, the property was perfectly clean and impeccably decorated. Would definitely come again. Would love to stay in one of the rooms that has the circular portion on the corner.

Mark McCormack: This hotel is beautiful in every way. The food was fantastic and like most Trump properties the service was amazing. We grabbed a quick bite and some coffee. I had the eggs Benedict and it was perfect. My wife had the steel cut oats steamed in milk, she loved it. The picture is taken from our second story seats over looking the lobby.

Hotel Zena, a Viceroy Urban Retreat: what do users think?

dominique mackey: Stayed this weekend and this is a fabulous hotel. The service, the location the people who work there really made my stay amazing. And when I needed an extra night because of a car issue they easily and quickly accommodated me and price matched to a nearby hotel I was going to check into after I had already checked out of their hotel. The Decor was amazing, the design I mean it all was great and made my Instagram very popular for the weekend. Definitely will get my business again and would recommend.

Katie Roth: We were charged $31 a night for amenity fees, we never used any of them. This was not explained until we checked out. Keurig in the room did not work, was also told the 'free' water in the room was included in the amenity fees. There was also a grease stain on one set of sheets and I found a couple of small blood stains on mine. The staff was wonderful. But would not stay again, I don't appreciate hidden 'amenity fees' when they are something I did not even use.
Response: Dear Katie, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. While we are delighted that you appreciated our fantastic team, we are disappointed to learn that your expectations were not met in regard to our accommodations and that there was a miscommunication about our resort fees. Rest assured, we will discuss with our team ways to make this policy more transparent moving forward. It was a pleasure having you here with us, and we wish you safe and happy travels. Sincerely, Sherry Abedi General Manager

Jenny Swartz: What a wonderful hotel! I was in DC for a work trip and decided to stay an extra night. My first 4 star hotel, the room was like a staying in a basement and I couldn't stand another night. My extra night was at my own expense so I wanted to enjoy it. Wow did I ever make a great choice! What a difference! Hotel Zena, bright, modern, friendly staff... well worth schlepping the 4 blocks with my bag!
Response: Dear Jenny, Thank you for choosing our hotel while you were in Washington, D. C. We're pleased you could join us for a night, and you found our accommodations exceptional and our staff friendly. It would be our pleasure to host you again at Hotel Zena, and we hope it will be for a longer visit. Come back soon! Sherry Abedi General Manager

Madison Nickischer: The rooms here are very nice. I stayed in the queen room and it was very nice and very clean. The only reason I docked a star was because there was an unexpected deposit of $375. When I reserved my room online, there was nothing at all that mentioned having to do that. Also their “deal” online of stay two nights and get your third free was totally a scam. My third night was “free” but the other two nights were charged $60 more a night.. so basically it wasn’t free at all. When I went to get the $375 dollars back (with my parking fee taken out) I got $100 less than expected. It was yet another “guest fee” taken out. That whole process was uncomfortable considering I wasn’t informed of any of the “deposits” and other “fees” that they just took. But other than that the rooms were very nice and the parking staff was very friendly.
Response: Dear Madison Nickischer, Thank you for your feedback. We strive to be transparent with our guests during their hotel booking. We would appreciate the opportunity to review your confirmation email. Please feel free to forward the email to zena.frontoffice@viceroyhotelsandresorts.com. We would like to review and rectify anything that needs to be done so. We are happy that you enjoyed the rooms and your interactions with our valet team.

N Ervin: Fantastic Stay!! I stayed at Hotel Zena while in town on business and was absolutely In Love with this Hotel! From the time I arrived, the valet, “O”, was FANTASTIC!!! The lovely young lady who checked myself and my co-workers in was wonderfully helpful and took great care of us! My room was a true delight, designed gorgeously and I still cannot get over the beautifully designed shower graced with Lady Liberty. I also have to celebrate “Princess”, the bartender…such wonderful customer service! While my stay was for business, it was truly delightful to return to the Hotel Zena be greeted with wonderful customer service and to enjoy the tranquil beauty and comfort of my room. From the phenomenal lobby, to the beautiful roof top bar, to the moment Million, the valet, helped me to my car upon my departure, the Hotel Zena was truly a fantastic experience! I highly recommend others to stay at this fabulous hotel! Cheers and thanks to the Reception, Valet and Bar (Princess and the lovely lady on the rooftop on Friday) staff that worked 11/17/21-11/20/21! You ALL need raises!!
Response: Dear N Erwin, we cannot express how happy we are to know that you thoroughly enjoyed your stay with us. We do believe that the small details matter and we are happy you were able to enjoy our restaurant, Figleaf. We hope to have you back soon.

Russ Dean: Marcie was truly a joy and made the stay special by offering me a tour and allowing me to select our suite we booked to celebrate a Birthday. When we needed amenities like ice and extra linens they were delivered both expeditiously and pleasantly, something that's rare in our travels these day, even in fine establishments. The view is phenomenal looking onto the square and you couldn't ask for a better location to call home during a DC adventure. We loved the bar and pool table, and the giant "light bright" was a crowd pleaser! I'm short, don't walk, but run and support both female celebration and fabulous accomodations at Hotel Zena.
Response: Greetings Russ Dean, We are truly thrilled that you had such a wonderful time at Hotel Zena. The team strives to provide an exceptional guest experience. We are joyful to read your interactions with the team. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience while being our guest. We look forward to having you back again. Warm Regards,

soceur1977: Spent the night here for my wedding anniversary! Very chic and modern place! The room was very cozy and I'd even say romantic with the kinda see through shower mural...;) the bathroom was spotless and the bed was a comfortable lay. Although we didn't get a good view on this occasion it was still a great stay.
Response: Thanks for your review Soceur1977. The spiral shower is definitely a favorite! We are glad that you chose to spend such a special occasion with us.

margot stanley: The property is nice and the staff are friendly. However the excessive amenity charges and the policies around the pool and rooftop access are ridiculous. The pool closes at 6pm so that they can turn the roof into a nightclub. But despite not serving food, you cannot bring food to enjoy on the roof while buying cocktails. I'm currently in my room with drinks from the liquor store nextdoor and I will not be spending one extra dime on anything in house because of the ridiculous limits on amenities I'm paying for and that led me to choose the property in the first place.
Response: Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. We're glad our friendly staff made you feel welcome. However, we apologize for any disappointment with our amenities and fees, and we'll keep your comments in mind as we constantly improve our guest experience. The next time you're in the area, we'd appreciate the chance to provide you with a more enjoyable visit. Sincerely, Sherry Abedi General Manager

Basana A.: I only had the opportunity to stay 2 nights, but my experience was everything I could have hoped for and more. The front desk staff was very friendly from the time I first checked in and was very helpful in recommending wonderful restaurants in the area. I especially enjoyed the modern decor and female empowerment theme of the hotel. And after a long flight, the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and allowed for a great nights sleep. I will definitely stay here again the next time I’m in DC.
Response: Thank you Kindly for your review, Basana! We are delighted that you enjoyed your time. We understand that it is the small things like good night sleep that matter. We are happy that you were able to sleep comfortably. Thank you for staying with us!

Didi: This is for the rooftop restaurant, and is located in what appeared to be a nice female owned hotel. The drinks were ok, the view great, the music was a hodgepodge of super loud and elevator as far as volume, food/nosh options not worth pictures and the service was meh. Nice view and location, efficient reservation and check-in process, but seating was not coordinated. I would say go for a drink or two, take a picture and be on to the next place, but worth a stop.
Response: Dear Didi, While we are happy to hear you enjoyed dining with us, we apologize for any oversight in regard to the service and quality of food that we provided. We appreciate your highlight in regards to our efficiency and will use your comments to improve the overall experience we deliver. In the future, we hope you'll consider giving us another chance to wow you. Sincerely, Sherry Abedi General Manager

Washington Marriott Georgetown: what do users think?

Rodney Ibrahim: Room was a perfect size for a family of 4. We had a double room + and we were anxiously waiting to get in our room after our 4hr drive. Unfortunately, even though we were after our check in time, our room was not ready and we had to wait almost an hour to finally unwind. As a Marriott member with status I expected better. Other than that the room and hotel were good. Hotel is centrally located and a great place to start the day. Breakfast in the morning is good and the staff who handle the food were very friendly. Other than the check-in snafu the hotel checked most of the boxes and we would come back if in the area.

Derek Kruger: Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any stay. This website will compare hundreds of booking websites and normally will have rates much cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is one of the most well known in this area. I've been coming here for years. If you decide to stay here you definitely won't be let down. Aretha, the woman at the Front Desk, is amazing. We were part of a wedding group, so many people with the same last name, but we were checked in promptly and all in the correct rooms! We got the directions for underground parking and shortly were in bed. The rooms were modern, the beds were firm, with a wide variety of pillows with varying firmness, and individual thermostats! A wand and a rain-head shower fixture, soft absorbent towels and plenty of counter space made for a deluxe bathroom. My only very minor complaint, is that the on/off switch on the bedside lamp is the same brown as the fixture, making it difficult to find.

Jessica Poku: The Good: my hotel room was excellent. I had an amazing view, a large couch, a nice bathroom and very comfortable bed and amenities. Everything was accessible (ice machine, elevator, ubers etc). I was a happy camper. The Bad: service was not great. Check-in was pretty lazy, no offer of welcome gift (asked about it the next morning and they said they applied it and didn’t need to mention it) - I thought the policy was to offer an option to members? They had a great M Club downstairs which I visited for water, and the attendant stared at me the whole time and just hovered behind me with a question on her face, until I left. It was rather uncomfortable. I also needed silverware, and when I requested I was told that there was nobody available to bring any because the staff were on break for an hour. Besides the above I enjoyed my stay and was happy with my room and view.

Kim Schaff: Aretha, the woman at the Front Desk, is amazing.

Lindsey Santoro: My phone reception isn’t that good so I could really hear her name but Anisha or Aretha maybe it was, a young woman at the front desk, is outstanding. She really went above and beyond to make a special delivery to my husband’s room for his graduation and she was so polite and courteous every time I spoke with her on the phone. She deserves recognition for delivering true hospitality. Thank you!!!

Jada Carr: Above average customer service provided by Aretha and staff. Large hiccup w room request. I booked 2 rooms in advance w the request of adjoining room and extra towels. Show up to hotel and neither request displayed in system. Arrived at 4pm (check in time). Rec'd 2 rooms side by side w/o adjoining door. Disappointing but was better than the separate floors initially offered. We were given a token for inconvenience of waiting w additional hours. Token could have been much better for time wasted w the 4 of us being displaced but ok, I guess. Never rec'd extra towels as requested but that's water under the bridge. I do appreciate Aretha attempting to do her best of her ability to right the wrong. Rooms 646 and 648 (2 double rooms). Spacious, clean, comfy, in room fridge and quality toiletries. The rooms were definitely 5 out of 5 star quality. Clean hallways, 3 speedy elevators, connected garage, prime location. On-site restaurant bar, conference rooms, etc. I would definitely stay again.

A suitcase and a baby: Beautiful hotel in a great location. In the middle of Georgetown, walking distance to the monuments as well a George Washington hospital. Trader Joe’s located nearby. Gym downstairs was clean and a suitable size, rooms stocked with towels and clean linens and shower pressure great. Will definitely return

Gary Jett: 4 day three nights stay. Overpriced average with lousy parking. They are quite good though at removing personal property during housekeeping. The area they (corporate as well) excel in, however, is taking your info and promising to have a team member reach out. Mostly no one does, but, when they do it is to take your info and promise to have a team member reach out to you. Oh, they also hope that you had a pleasant visit.

Rose Riley: Very clean, courteous staff, and good room sizes. We enjoyed our stay with the family. I have included some pics of the room to include the view from our window. The Marriott never disappoints.

Conrad: Nice hotel. Easy check-in, nice lobby, clean room. Put the do not disturb sign on your door so the room services lady doesn't knock to see if you're still there at 8 am

The Westin Washington National Harbor: what do users think?

Melanie Dugan, Real Estate Agent: Most important to me, the room was clean! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room key is required to access the different floors, nice for security purposes. The hotel is located right on the water. I did not have a water view, but did look shops across the street. I would definitely recommend.

Shay F.: It was “okay” as it served its purpose for me personally but not worth the price. $200+ a night for a view of other buildings and I was put on the very edge of the hall by the exit. I feel I was given a so-so room based on how I was being perceived. I’m black and I was with my kid. I got an off vibe of what’s she doing here soon as I asked about valet parking. I had a bike in my room and it was just a weird feature that I didn’t ask for, that wasn’t including in my original purchase, that just took up unnecessary space. As I mentioned before, my room was at the end of the hallway and I had to walk with multiple bags with a kid what felt like a country mile from the elevator. Not to mention that they weren’t helpful and were basically blowing me off when I was trying to get assistance with a trolley. I want to point out that this behavior came from young to middle aged black and Hispanic people, so I don’t know if there was just a general sense of ignorance in the air but I wasn’t pleased. Someone mentioned how the staff only “appeared” to be helpful and I concur. Also, the couch in the room was worn.

Kiesha Rice: This place is small but really nice, clean, and has a great atmosphere for families. We also love that they are pet friendly, so we were able to bring our Westie! The staff was also super attentive, helpful, and friendly! The only negative thing about this visit was their overpriced restaurant. Unfortunately, this was our first and last stay because of it but overall the hotel was nice.

Sherry Grant: I would not recommend staying here. The staff treated us like they were doing us a favor and yet they don’t offer anything here. The pool is closed. The valet is a joke but charges $49 a day. There is no hospitality or warmth here. The bar is supposed to close at 11, but they turned us away at 10:40. We then called and asked the front desk for a bottle opener and the rude staff person was obnoxious, arrogant, off putting and refused to help us out. Instead he hung the phone up on us. Never got the bottle opener. Never got an apology for the awful service. The GM was apparently on site and was made aware of our concerns and never once reached out. Don’t stay here. People wonder why robots are replacing them. This stay would have been better if they had robots serving us.

Rob Loper: Fantastic place to stay. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice personal touches, plenty of any amenities you would need, and friendly customer service. About the beds: my brother who has back problems and has trouble sleeping in most beds raved about the beds. Just know, like most businesses at the harbor, there is no parking lot. There is a garage within very short walking distance. You'll be looking at $20/night for parking.
Response: Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to know that you loved your stay, and we can't wait to welcome you back again soon!

Charlene Robertson: Loved the ocean view that we had. I loved that you can't access other floors because your card is only coded for your floor only. I think that they should get their own shuttle to go too places like the other hotels do but overall it's a great place.

Sheli Bell: Amazing nightlife A great place for tourist and minimalists. Everything is close by, restaurant, boutiques, art displays, casinos, Tanger outlet, the pier and most of all, friendly people! We ate at a few different restaurants. My favorites start with Walrus Oysters & Ale House shrimp & grits & the lobster roll (little pricey, but you won't be disappointed) For dinner, we dined at Brother Jimmy's BBQ and ordered smoked and grilled wings and chopped salad. We topped dessert off at the Furlough cheesecake and ordered a personal Chocolate Affair and sweet potato w/o pecans to go. I didn't want mine to disappear 😢 It was so yummy that I feel like I should have purchased two for myself . I stayed at the Westin Hotel with a waterview room. The view was gorgeous and made the scene super romantic. I'm definitely going back

Young Juhn: Location and quality of the hotel was good. But service was not much. I requested early check-in and I do understand due to large events, rooms were not available but font desk staff communicated not just me but to all others like is customers' fault asking for early check-in. Very disappointed staff training on customer service. It damages the band value of The Westine.

Conrad Washington, DC: what do users think?

Darsh Mirchandani: I stayed at the Conrad DC for a weekend and I was thoroughly impressed. When I first arrived the valet, bellhop and the check in staff were all extremely friendly, and professional. They made me and my family feel extremely welcome. At check in the staff recognized my Diamond status and gave me a room on a high floor with a beautiful view of the park. When we first arrived, there were minor issues but Rebekah Roberts (hands down the best staff member we encountered) was extremely helpful. The room and hotel were clean, modern, and spacious . I will definitely not hesitate to stay at the Conrad the next time I’m visiting DC.

Mike Finn: This is our very first time staying here. Lovely customer service, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. We had a corner room it was really nice. Bathrooms are literally stunning. The lotion and soaps are of top quality. The gym was awesome no one there and pretty good size for hotel gym——Oh yea the estuary is incredible food, order up or sit in - they do require mask in common areas and upon walking in to check in….. I didn’t have a mask on the front desk person gently politely offered me a mask…… I mentioned to my wife how nice he was … having had very rude experiences in this matter this was a welcomed attitude. If I could give this hotel 10 stars ⭐️ I’d do it. We plan to look for a reason to stay here in the future 😀👍🏾

Gabriella WOWITSGOLDIE: This is our second time staying here. Lovely customer service, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are literally stunning. The lotion and soaps are of top quality I always ask for extra to take some home!! The housekeeping goes above and beyond. Anytime we are in town we will be staying here ! Highly recommend ! 5 stars. Oh yea the estuary is incredible food, order up!

Aaron: I stayed at the Conrad on a rewards stay and was very impressed. The staff was friendly and courteous, even in the midst staff shortages due to pandemic & a snowstorm. The location was easy to find and made walking to sights do-able. The rooms are luxuriously modern and spacious. They included accent lighting with bedside controls, elegant bathroom design, Nespresso machine, closet space, floor to ceiling windows with automatic curtains, insulation from the noise below, and great views. I really enjoyed the spending credit as a Diamond Member, which I used at the restaurant. It was great dining on the terrace, even in the winter. I look forward to staying at a Conrad hotel again in the future.

raymond burgos: Fantastic service, atmosphere, dining, and rooms.Very classy place. Super friendly and helpful staff. The decor is fabulous. Spacious, contemporary style. Each room has plenty of space with a great view. The location is unbeatable; shops, bars, restaurants, and everything between us are all within walking distance. I would stay again. I mainly promote the hotel's restaurants which I am passionate about. I will never promote something that I do not personally enjoy.

Mohammad “Mo” Mumtaz: Went to celebrate my anniversary and we had the most incredible experience. Jeremy at the front desk went above and beyond during our check in and through out our stay. Such amazing customer service and thoughtful attention to help us feel special and taken care of. Our room was clean and super comfortable! We had a gorgeous view of the city! Dinner at the on-site restaurant was also amazing! Our server, Ryan, knew the menu inside out and made lots of recommendations to help us decide on what we wanted! Super attentive throughout our meal! We had such a memorable experience and will definitely be back again ASAP! Highly recommend! ;)

Tyler Spindler: By far the best hotel experience I've had! We planned the visit for my daughters 7th birthday so we could visit all the museums and monuments, and the location was perfect. A 15 minute walk to the Natural History museum, and less then 5 minutes to some great family-friendly restaurants. What set them apart, though, was the staff. We got in early to see the museums, but Ernesto was able to find us a room at 1030 so we could unload. The whole front desk also went above and beyond when I mentioned my daughters birthday; when we got back before dinner, there was chilled bottle of milk, 6 little cupcakes and a bunch of balloons to celebrate her! We will definitely be back!

Chris: Our room was very nice with a comfortable bed and very nice bathroom. Very modern room. We had a room directly over the street on the 7th floor and found it very loud. The bath towels were very thin and scratchy, not something I expected from a 5 star hotel. Although the shower is quite large, the “rainfall” shower head was small and had poor pressure. Our breakfasts at Estuary were very good, and the service was great. I am a Diamond member and was not given an upgrade despite rooms showing available on the app. Essentially all monuments and museums are within walking distance of the hotel, which was very convenient. Overall an okay stay, though not sure I would return to this hotel.
Response: Hello Chris - We're sorry to see that you had a 3 star stay at our property. We apologize for the issues you experienced while here. Please reach out to us at https://help.hilton.com/s/contactsupport so that we can collect some more information about your room and stay. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.

Christine Malloy: We’ve stayed at the Conrad and have had great experiences. This trip we needed a few assists with our activities. The Concierge- Jeffrey Morgan was beyond helpful, enthusiastic and incredibly knowledgeable professional. Mr. Morgan helped us with tickets, reservations and all with ease and smile. There were a few minor improvements/suggestions mostly focused around replenishment from housekeeping (glasses etc). But when asked - they were extremely attentive.

Blvknative: This is by far the best hotel and hotel experience I’ve had in DC! The room was fine to perfection. Very spacious for a hotel room. Comes with a couch and a desk. They have this club called the Sakura Club, you have to book a special in order to get it! A little pricey but you’re definitely paying for all of the experience nonetheless! But the club comes with breakfast and dinner and comes with drinks and refreshments as long as you’re booked to that room! Hands down the best! The best views of the city and they have a really nice roof top! Right in the heart of City Center!

Marriott Marquis Washington, DC: what do users think?

Brian Metzger: Very nice hotel. We stay at quite a few Marriott's, and this is one of our favorites. Beautiful open area with a bar, get snacks, and big tables to hang out with friends or coworkers. The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. Everything is exceptionally clean. The location is great with plenty of restaurants and other stores within easy walking distance.
Response: Thank you for the kind words regarding your recent visit. We hope we can welcome you back again soon!

M L G: In DC for a conference, so the location next to the Convention Center is perfect. The tunnel allows for rapid access and no rain or weather issues. The staff are wonderful and always helpful. The lobby is gorgeous with plenty of places to meet up. For the price at a flagship hotel though, the room is just average and although clean looking, the shower smells strongly of mold. The bed's acceptable, but with very flat pillows. The lack of soundproofing is the biggest negative, however. Every night there are multiple sirens and quite loud traffic noises, disrupting sleep. Several others in our group have the same complaint. I've frequently stayed in rooms overlooking roads and highways, but rarely experienced this level of noise.
Response: Dear M L G, Thank you for taking the time to post about your recent visit. I was pleased to read that you found our hotel to be conveniently located and that you received helpful service from our team. I appreciate your feedback regarding your guest room and will be sure to share your comments with the housekeeping team. Should your travels bring you back to Washington, DC, I do hope we can welcome you back! Sincerely, Philip Shortino Resident Manager

Charles Hanskat: Great location if attending a convention at the convention center. Easy access from the convention center metro station without needing to walk outside. Rooms face outside or inward to the atrium. Atrium rooms are quiet. Room size is on the small side but well appointed with large flat screen TV that has streaming services too. Internet access is fast and easy. Desk is a little limited in size. Bathroom is shower only but had plenty of light for shaving and makeup. Good sized closet with a safe too. Beds and bedding are typical Marriott quality that is quite comfortable. Staff are friendly. The M Club just opened back up and is well stocked for breakfast and appitizers in the evening.

Victor Olszewski: Simply the best experience I've had at a hotel. The staff is absolutely amazing! They are so attentive and caring. I've never been so well taken care of. I left yesterday and I'm in nice hotel, but I miss the service at the Marquis. It's so rare anymore to receive accommodations or services where you genuinely feel cared for. The best!
Response: Dear Victor Olszewski, Simply the best experience; thank you! Your kind words regarding our staff are truly appreciated and I do hope we can welcome you back again soon! Sincerely, Philip Shortino Resident Manager

Lou Costanza: Excellent location. The hotel has a lot of amenities. M Club is open 24 hours and has a delicious breakfast with lots of selections including bacon, eggs, oatmeal, smoked salmon, muffins, fresh fruit, etc. Staff are very friendly. Comfortable bedding, the bathroom is a decent size and there is a safe in the closet. Fast response to questions and/or service requests via the Marriott App. Really like this hotel!
Response: Thank you for the kind words regarding your recent visit. We are so glad that you were able to enjoy our M Club and that you found our staff to be friendly!

Louis C: Beautiful, modern hotel with a huge lobby, tons of meeting space, and great views of the mall and capital building from the higher floors. Can’t beat the location if you’re going to the convention center. If you have access to the lounge you’re in for a treat. The fitness center is massive with tons of equipment. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Really, all around a great hotel.
Response: Thank you for the kind words regarding your recent visit. We are glad you had the opportunity to utilize the fitness center and that you found our staff to be friendly and helpful!

Heather Theriaque: The hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful. I never heard any noise from neighboring rooms, although there was a little street noise at times, not unusual for a city. I ate at the casual restaurant twice and enjoyed the food. Access to the convention center without having to go outside is very nice. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Some things could use updating. The towels were rough, the headboard was all scratched up and had a penny stuck in it. My view was the church across the street and the homeless and their tents. Made me realize I shouldn't complain about the scratchy towels.
Response: Dear Heather Theriaque, I appreciate you taking the time to post about your recent stay and was pleased to read that you found our staff to be friendly and helpful. I will be sure to share your feedback regarding some of the items in your guest room with our housekeeping team and do hope we can welcome you back again in the future. Sincerely, Philip Shortino Resident Manager

Megan Meline: Beautiful hotel, great rooms and bathrooms, quiet and insulated from noise. I would absolutely stay here again. Was super convenient to get to the convention center on cold/rainy days in the underground terminal that connected the two. Loved the water features in the lobby, and the bar was a good size for how many people were always there.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to post about your recent visit. We hope we can welcome you back again soon!

Ebone Cruz (The Entrepreneur Plug): Beautiful Hotel and perfect space for a large conference. Oh my goodness the staff were amazing, well to me they were during the entire conference. The conference I attended occupied 4 floor and even the upstairs area for workshop spaces. Covid procedures were handled well to ensure all conference goers were safe and centrally located for others to walk to if they didn't stay at the location. The inside restaurant had great breakfast and the lobby bar area was a great meeting area to catch up and socialize with other conference goers.
Response: Thank you for the kind words regarding your recent visit!

krishna panchal: Hotel was very nice. The staff members were very nice and respectful. The room service was excellent too. The rooms were cleaned and very beautifully address everything. The only thing that didn't like about it was the coffee I am just being more specific about coffee cuz I am a big fan of coffee otherwise I would have given 5 stars. The hotel otherwise was very excellent and affordable

The Westin Washington, D.C. City Center: what do users think?

Gi Gi: Beautiful hotel, the staff is amazingly nice and knowledgeable. We were here for an event for 6 days and had the best of times. The rooms were really nice and clean, housekeeping did a great job. The beds and pillows are super comfy. It's within walking distance of everything. There's a nice bar in the lobby. The conference rooms were nice as well. The food provided was really nice as well during our meals. Overall great place to stay.

Eileen Flaherty: I found the location too far from any of the main sites. Way too far for me. I also did not feel safe in the area where it is located. There are homeless tents very close by. Some of the homeless were aggressive in approaching me. I did not feel safe to leave the hotel after dark which affected my stay. I will not stay there again. The hotel staff and restaurant/bar staff were very nice and helpful.

Howard Smith: Five stars because of the nice lady at the front desk that checked us in, she's really nice. The valet parking personnel were nice as well. A lady brought us a luggage cart on the morning that we checked out, she was nice as well. Lobby is nice, staying staying above the first floor was nice, look down at lobby and or looking up at all the floors. Elevators were nice. Rooms were nice but walls and ceilings seem to be dated or old. If I think of anything else to say, will update here later.

Mary Carter Scott: The first thing I noticed was how dated the hotel was, which in and of itself isn't a major issue. The room was OK at first, but we immediately noticed that the walls were paper thin. We could hear every conversation, every sneeze, phone ring, etc in the neighboring rooms (both sides.) And to make matters worse, one of the neighboring rooms had friends come to their room at 3:30 AM until about 4:30 AM which kept me wide awake. In all fairness, I couldn't call the front desk to complain because they were just talking and hanging out in their room, which they had every right to do. But probably the worst issue of all was that the shower was lukewarm at best. It never got anywhere remotely approaching hot, making showering incredibly unpleasant. And the shampoo and conditioner were hodgepodge different brands which was strange. The positives were some of the staff we met, especially the bartender we met Saturday night. Overall, out of every Marriott/ Westin we have stayed in, this was by far the worst experience.

Ece Ozkan: Overall good location and decent hotel chain yet poor customer service in this particular hotel. A good amount of the rooms face the inner courtyard which is looking at the bar, and even though the bar gets closed at 11 pm you'd still hear noise. If you are in town for work I don't recommend this hotel or if you stay here avoid the rooms facing the courtyard. Other than that overall customer service is pretty poor, during my 3 night stay I had house keeping/ cleaning once, which may also be the hotel policy yet not communicated well to customers. The hotel building itself is pretty old and not well maintained, the shower was leaking and the hair drier was broken.

Random Email: The DC Westin was in poor condition. The room was clean upon arrival, but was not cleaned during my multi-day stay - I was informed this “upon request”, something I have never encountered at a Westin or any other hotel for that matter. The check in was functionally fine “I need your passport and credit card”, but there was no please or thank you or smile of any kind - a very curt and unwelcoming experience. Oh, and don’t forget, the Westin doesn’t offer room service “because of Corona” - like seriously you’re still using that excuse? “We can’t find staff”. Really? Have you considered paying people more for the hard work they do in hotels? Room rates have certainly gone up, so how about sharing some of that excess profitability with your overworked long-suffering unappreciated staff? Maybe if you did that, they would smile more and actually make their clients happy. It almost seems like a deliberate choice by Marriott to let Westin move downmarket since its takeover, because this is now my second Westin stay since corona reopening, and both times have been very rundown.

Lauren Johnson: My father came to stay over thanksgiving weekend to visit my sister who currently lives and works in DC as a medical professional. I am writing this on his behalf as he has said that he absolutely adores this hotel and finds it to be one of the most well kept, clean, and beautiful hotels he’s ever stayed at. My father is a veteran who served 20 years in the military and has been to many places and stayed in countless hotels in his career. He finds this hotel to have some of the kindest staff with some of the best accommodations that he’s ever stayed in. He finds the bellman and valet staff to be especially kind and accommodating which goes a long way for out of town travelers (such as himself). As his daughter who has worked in the industry for many years, I find his kind words endearing and genuine as ‘post’ pandemic difficulties can be challenging. Thank you for taking such great care of my father and I can assure you when we return to the city of DC (which will be very frequent) we will stay nowhere else.

Melanie Merriken: Easy to find and they have a parking garage right next door. There is also valet parking if you are interested. Everyone that works there seems very pleasant and helpful. We were even able to check into our room early

mmchirico: Convenient and clean. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was in a good location, near a nice neighborhood with fun restaurants. We changed rooms during our stay because some partiers had arrived, but at least we were permitted to do so without a fuss. And two months afterwards, I called the hotel for assistance with a lost item, and they were more than willing to help. Very gracious front desk!

Dhivy@ kv: Worst stay ever. Most unreliable front desk staff. Had 3 nights booking made a month ago. Called and confirmed the stay 2 days prior, Also did an online check in. Still when we arrived in the middle of the night, they said it's overbooked and they re directed us to nearby hotel, saying that we can come back next day to stay at Westin. So we did as they said, checked out next day, confirmed with the Westin front desk, dropped our luggage and came back to check in and heard that they are overbooked again. All they can say is "system error". Now they want us to go back to the same hotel, check in and check out the next day to come back to Westin again. I would have rather chosen a mid tier but a reliable hotel than this best unreliable one.
