Lew Williams: I recently contracted Hugee Corporation to replace an aging Carrier unit with a High Efficiency (16 Seer) Goodman condenser, coil and humidifier. The HVAC technicians were professional and very knowledgeable. The entire installation was successfully completed in less than three hours. All of the old equipment was hauled away and the technicians used lots of company provided floor coverings for extra protection making cleanup quick and easy. Brenda Pilgrim: Yesterday I called Hugee Corporation for their help in fixing my air condition unit that was not working. Around 9:30 a.m. this morning, the company dispatched one of their worker to my home, and upon checking the system, he was able to spot the problem right away. He discovered the compactor was bad, he when to the shop to retrieve the new part for the AC system, replaced it and the system is working awesome. Hugee Corporation was very professional and the technician was well verse as to what was required for the system to work properly. My family was very happy with the service that was rendered. I am therefore recommending Hugee Corporation as an excellent Air Condition Company. I will make sure and past on this information to all of my family and friends. Kawytae Norals: I recently hired Hugee Corporation to come out and resolve my issue with my AC unit, as well as figure out why my 3rd floor was not cooling to my standards. They performed an assessment, and it was determined that I may need AEROSEAL, as well as a duck cleaning. Upon them starting and running the pre-aeroseal work, it was determined that that was not the issue, and the duct work was clean (honesty). It was later determined that I needed my AC unit serviced, as well as repair a rip in the duct work in the attic. Receiving honesty and integrity from a business goes along way in my book. It is one of the most important qualities when dealing with companies that you have never worked with before. I highly recommend them. Adam Fine: Worst customer service and transparency. It is impossible to get someone to even get back to me in a timely manner with a quote. It was simple enough to get a diagnostics visit set up (though they scheduled it for the wrong day by mistake). Then charged more than double what I was quoted for the diagnostics visit. Really unprofessional. Severe lack of transparency when it comes to quoting/billing. Do no recommend anyone uses this service until they drastically improve the way they do business. Pro Functional: Between being overcharged on more than one occasion, redundant diagnostic fees, breaking the heater while fixing the A/C, and then charging us to fix the heater that they broke, I felt compelled to share my experience with HUGEE Corporation. First, we must use HUGEE due to the fact that our home's HVAC unit was installed by them and is serviced by them per our home warranty terms. On 6/26/2019 we called HUGEE because our air condition was intermittently failing. It would not blow cold air consistently. HUGEE sent a tech and unfortunately, the system was blowing cold air at that moment. We were billed $125 for the diagnostic and $95 for the tech to literally just show up and tell us he can't do anything since it is working. We paid the $220. I agree that it's difficult to diagnose an intermittent problem. Bill paid. On 7/22/2019 the HVAC finally completely fails. They again charged us another $125 diagnostic fee + labor. I felt we had already paid the diagnostic fee on 6/26/2019 which resulted in nothing. Whats worse is this time they charged us twice for the labor since they sent two techs. Each tech accrued an hourly rate. What's odd is that the 2nd tech's job was literally holding the door open. I would have suggested using our door stopper. The techs were friendly and I was happy that the AC worked so left it at that. On 8/2019 our 2nd HVAC unit failed completely. Keep in mind that both HVAC units were installed by HUGEE. I called HUGEE and asked for an estimated cost to avoid being blind-sided. The lady on the phone explained it would cost $125 for the diagnostic fee and $90 per hour. They sent a tech who confirms that the HVAC had indeed failed and charged me a $125 diagnostic fee and says he'll need to order a part and install it on a future date. Fine, that's fair since he had to drive here. On 9/2019 the part finally arrives and HUGEE Corporation sends a tech to install it. Since I was told it was an hourly job I noted the start time and end time. The total time to complete the job was hour. But they charged us $425 for the visit when the 1 hour should have costed us $90. This was over 400% more than what they quoted us. When I asked why he said "That is just what my boss told me to charge". I called the office and the lady confirmed that she told us $125 for the diagnostic fee and $90 per hour. However, this time they had to charge $425 since the part was under warranty, which made no sense. This was not disclosed to us on the initial call or any time after ordering the part. At this point, I was annoyed but not compelled to write a bad review. It is now 11/5/2019 and in VA it's when it gets cold. We turned our HVAC unit to heat. We immediately noticed that there was no hot air. I reluctantly called HUGEE and again asked for a cost breakdown. The gentleman explained that it was now a $45 trip charge and $25 per 15 minutes. They send a tech out and this is the worse part of the experience. The last time HUGEE came out to fix the unit on 9/2019 they failed to secure a wire so it was loose. He pushed the wire in and the heat immediately started to work. I'm not an HVAC expert but I'd expect that testing for both heat and air/condition are required after replacing a core component. But they didn't. They billed us $209 for 1 hour. $125 for the diagnostic fee when they quoted $45 by phone. $80 for labor when they quoted $25 for 15 mins. When I pointed it out he immediately acknowledged it and said it was a mistake. I am not frustrated with the tech and don't fault him at all. Mistakes and miscommunication happen. I get it and can empathize. The tech was friendly and ultimately got the HVAC to work properly. And he connected me to his boss to figure out how to handle the transaction. It was the owner/"boss" of HUGEE who ultimately made the final call to make us pay for an issue they created, in addition to overcharging us almost double. You could also argue that the HVAC should've been checked for both heat and A/C after the repair on 9/2019. The heat was never tested until we tried to use it.

Gabriel Gopen: Polar Bear installed a ductless mini-split for us and they were some of the best contractors that I have ever dealt with. We needed to convert a sun room into a home office. A sales rep came out to discuss options and look at the space. He walked through all the details from where the unit would go to the conduit lines. When the unit we ordered couldn't be delivered, they upgraded our unit at their expense. Great company, highly recommended! Services: Heating system installation , Ductless heating & A/C services

Anne Miller: Our heater stopped working and it very cold in our house. Polar Bear did come out on a Sunday in a timely manner. The owner seemed friendly. He was wearing a mask but it kept coming down as he was talking so it was pointless. He told me I needed a new furnace costing $5200. My furnace is only 10 years old, we bought a very good model and was told it would last 15 to 20 years. He told a very inappropriate political joke during our conversation and is very good at selling. He went on and on about why it wasn’t worth repairing. I thanked him and decided on a second opinion. The next day another company came in and repaired it for $750.00 and assured me the furnace will be good for another 10 years. The parts they repaired were not even close to what Polar Bear said was wrong with it. Buyer beware and always get a second opinion. I do not recommend Polar Bear!

Tim Rann: Very friendly team and easy to schedule. Purchased the 2x annual service contract. The first AC inspection went smoothly, although the technician didnt really clean anything (just made sure everything in working order). Suggested I use a hose to clean the condenser on my own - had hoped they would do this. My unit started leaking a few months later, causing some minor flooding in my basement. Had to call Polar Bear a few times over the weekend before they confirmed that they don't send anyone out on Sat or Sun. Was able to get an appt on Monday afternoon - no real harm done, but would have been nice if they were upfront on timeline (esp for "priority service" per my service contract). Technician very quickly identified the core issue and getting an estimate for a new system one day later. Overall, pretty happy with Polar Bear - customer service very pleasant, technicians on-time and very nice / to the point.

Tracy Roman: We had a great experience with Polar Bear. We called them in the middle of a heat wave and they had a technician out to us the next day. The technician was on-time, courteous and quick. He diagnosed the problem in a few minutes, fixed it on the spot, and made recommendations for future maintenance of our system. Also, the employee who answered the phone and scheduled the visit was very courteous and helpful. All in all, we are extremely satisfied and will use them in the future for any heating and AC problems.

I own a 1913 row house in Washington DC and after eight long hot summers, I finally decided to have central AC installed. After getting estimates from multiple companies in the area, I decided on Polar Bear. Joe Kelly, the owner, provided exceptional ideas for installing central air in my older home. The duct work went through the attic and walls, so no exterior ducts with drywall were needed. Mr. Kelly offered the best, most competitive price. Communication with Mr. Kelly and his crew was easy. I didn't have any concerns about the crew working in my house and they were respectful of my space and pets. The project was completed ahead of schedule. I'm very pleased with this investment of AC from Polar Bear and look forward to enjoying a cool, comfortable house next summer.

Zach Geller: My experience with Magnolia was abysmal. I called Magnolia on a Thursday asking them for the first available appointment because my air conditioner was dripping a lot of water every time it turned on. They said the first time available is that Sunday... fine, I get it’s the busy season. Sunday comes along and the technician’s equipment, a wet vac, isn’t working and says he will have to come back when it is working. He notes that the cause of the problem is likely the condensate line and that he will call to schedule the new appointment. Days go by and I don’t hear back from him or anyone at Magnolia so I called again. It is now Wednesday, 6 days since my first call. Miraculously, they say he can come that day! I stay home that day and wait for his call but it never comes. Late that evening I get a call from the tech saying he can’t come that day but he’ll be there Friday morning. He arrives on friday morning with his wet vac and nothing else and vacuums out the condensation pan and then asks for paper towels - I figure he’s cleaning up some of the splashed water that got on the walls and floor. Then he says something along the lines of “if the problem persists, we will need to rebuild the condensate line” and hands me his card reader to pay the bill. $189 dispatch fee and $235 for vacuuming out the pan. I was shocked. Had I known he was just going to vacuum out the pan for $235 and not actually fix the problem, I would have spent the $200 at Home Depot to buy my own wet vac. Unsurprisingly, the drip started back up within the day but was coming from a different spot now. I followed up directly with him and then with the dispatch team. I asked for them to apply the money I already paid to actually repairing it... a full week later and I still have not heard back. I’ve never felt like anyone has ever taken advantage of me so aggressively before. $424 is no small amount of money, especially considering the time I needed to put into this for negative results. Not to mention that when I hired a more competent company to clear the condensate line, they found the paper towels I handed the Magnolia tech shoved into the pan which caused the leak to move and damage even more drywall. I’m still waiting for my refund. Make this right, Magnolia. Service: Repair HVAC

Matt Toigo: I've had Magnolia do work for me twice and both times they've been outstanding. I needed advice on an old boiler and Angel clearly ran me through everything I had, checked everything over, what service options were available, and didn't try to scare me into servicing anything or buying a totally new system. Really appreciate having all the info I needed to make good decisions on maintaining or replacing what I had. I had another plumbing company no-show for a job, called Magnolia up, they got Nelson here at 9AM the next day. They gave me an estimate before starting any of the work, talked me through everything they were going to do, and capped a gas line and installed a new tub faucet in 2 hours. Life is too short to deal with contractors who don't communicate well or show up so I'll call them every time now for anything plumbing/heating related. Chris Faircloth: The customer service at this company is atrocious. I have been rescheduled and cancelled on multiple times after providing a down payment and being repeatedly assured that service would be performed during the scheduled appointment. I will update this review if they ever actually fix the air conditioning but so far we are going on week 5... Update: The AC has been fixed but at double the cost that was estimated based on the initial visit. While the technician was kind and apologetic, I will be looking elsewhere in the future.

Alonzo F: Magnolia Plumbing Service. A couple of days ago I noticed water was leaking from my hot water tank. Call around for estimates for a tankless water system but was shock at the prices. I call several companies for the estimate and decided to go with a regular tank water heater. I chose Magnolia Plumbing to replace my tank. The plumbing service technician was mainly why I chose this company. He followed up that night with a call to see if I made a decision to go with his company. He saw that my water was ready to go and to call in the morning if I had any problems. Sure enough, that night the water tank fail and water all over the place. I called the plumbing technician Pasquale Skok, he call back and told he would check his schedule and see if he could come that morning. He did come and installed my new water heater and this is the first time that I received such great service from a Plumbing company. Magnolia Plumbing your technician is a true value to your company. Bill Lawall: After having them come out and determine that we would need about 1k worth of services we were not able to do on the first appt. Paid for coming out and giving an estimate. Next made an appt for 2 weeks later on the only day the building can/would turn off the water to do the work. wanted first thing and was told they would be there between 8-10. After five calls, McMurray was the only one which appreciated that this was an emergency (to us) and sent someone that afternoon. Turned out our entire HVAC system had to be replaced. keith jackson: The gentleman called me back while shopping. I proceeded to describe my problem and he placed me on mute while he talked to “another shopper”. Then took me off of mute after I’m like “hello” (noticing I’m on mute) so I can him wrapping up his conversation. After repeating what I said while on mute he cut me short. Telling me that he didn’t have availability for another 6 business days and before I could schedule the appointment told me “good luck to you boss” and hung up.

Thomas Agbonyitor: My technician Milan arrived on time both days. He was very professional. He wore a face mask and shoe covers like I asked the whole time. One of my bathroom sinks was leaking. He checked it out and it turned out I needed a new valve and a new faucet. He was very communicative and showed me pictures of under the sink throughout the process. He fixed the valve the first day then I bought the faucet the next day and he installed it a couple days later. There is no more leak and my new faucet works perfectly. MaShana Davis: CroppMetcalfe was great! This was our first time using them. Our hot water had been scarce the last few months. Didn’t know why, and they came in to diagnose it. We have a tankless water heater. Although the model we have appeared new to the tech (Jared), he took time to call the manufacturer and get some advice on how to assess the issue. He even called to get the price of the part that was needed to resolve it. Jared returned after the part was ordered, installed the new part, and stayed around until we were sure the issue was resolved and we were satisfied. Jared was hilarious; felt like a friend more than a tech or contractor. CroppMetcalfe made sure they informed us on when Jared would arrive even when the original appointment time was slightly pushed back.

Sassy Sauce: Great discounts on Christmas items as part of the holiday sale. I picked up Christmas stockings for under $5.00. There were fire pits on clearance as well. I like this location and they generally have the items I’m in need of for repairs or decorations, etc. The staff is very helpful as well.

Stuart Miles-McLean: I don't like all the self check out lines which are killing jobs. They did have things I was looking for in the wild bird and critter section, but it appears they need more employees -- all over the store -- to keep the inventory organized and properly shelved and labeled. The employees I did encounter were very helpful and friendly; it just looked like they need more of them.

Kev- keepingitreal: This location offers a variety of affordable items for your home improvement needs. I really appreciate the staff in the aisle for assisting me with finding items on my check list. At check out the cashier was welcoming and friendly. This store was very clean and offers plenty of parking.

Jessica Fullington: Today I went to the garden center for some outside plants. Yolanda was so very helpful! She was able to answer my questions, she even went and got me a cart so that it was easier for me to get the items I purchased to my car. It is so refreshing to have people who are pleasant and helpful at their jobs I will definitely come back to this location to get all the plants I need this spring! Marla was very helpful as well along with the young man who answered some of my questions about my plans. All around a wonderful experience!

goklt: Lots of materials here. Check out was fast. However good luck asking for assistance. Lots of associates are walking around but not helping customers. I tracked an employee down for assistance in moving materials from a high shelf to store level in the door section. He called two times for assistance to my aisle but no one came and he advised going to customer service. They called and still no help. Had to track somone down in a different department altogether. Crazy.

Chase Johnson: The employees here are courteous. But the wood cutting service they claim to offer is not available when needed. The store should just be candid that wood cutting won’t be available (or at the very least won’t be available at any specific time). I am a local DIYer (not a contractor). Before I bought wood I asked about cutting and was told it was no problem—buy it and then request a cut. I did. I was then told the lumber associate wasn’t available for an hour. I couldn’t get the wood (a single sheet of plywood I needed to cut in half) into my car, so I waited. After an hour, there was still no lumber associate, so the wood was never cut.

N R: Terrible customer service. Returning an item took 3 months of repeated calls to schedule a pickup and even when Lowe's had the item back multiple calls were needed to secure the refund. Such a hassle, so worth avoiding! The third party delivery service that they use doesn't turn up in the agreed time slots so it's very easy to miss them and then get stuck in the web of calls that are required to reschedule.

Annie Signorelli: I ordered a dishwasher with professional installation and the process from start to finish was completely nontransparent and unprofessional. The installation had to be rescheduled because the dishwasher wasn’t pulled down for pick up in time, and then when it was installed it was the incorrect dishwasher — not even the right brand. After several hours on the phone with the Lowes installation line, including being told multiple times that they couldn’t advance the process because they couldn’t get in touch with anyone at their own Lowes store, I called the store directly and was able to sort it out and get the installation rescheduled. A Lowes associate later told me that they don’t have the “luxury” of waiting on hold with the store which is what I had to do in order to ensure my order was completed. Finally the correct dishwasher was installed on the third attempt and I was told I could contact the installation line again to discuss compensation for the inconvenience. Again it took multiple attempts to even get an update on where my case stood, despite being told every time that I should expect a call back “by end of business” every day I called. When I finally got offered compensation it was for less than half of the amount I requested (I requested the installation service be refunded seeing as it took 3 attempts and I was the one having to set everything up because Lowes did not follow through). While I am satisfied with the product I am in disbelief at how difficult and unprofessional the process was with Lowes. I do not recommend purchasing appliances from installation from this store or using the Lowes installation services.

Conchita Coney: Excellent but one of the employees didn't know what he was talking about whereas getting parts for a 2019 torro self-repellent lawn mower. He told my husband and I to go to store name Grainger on MD 202 they are either closed or permanently shut down.

Elizabeth Ramming: Assistance was top notch!! The gentlemen working there were very polite and helped me a lot with specific questions. HOWEVER-- However, I needed lumber, a 1X6 piece. What they had in stock was WET. But oh! I found 2 dry pieces at the bottom. But alas, don't be happy for me. Those pieces were warped in both directions - both along the length and width. That's it. So, shut up and buy it, or fight DC traffic to go someplace else. Both of those options were the absolute WORST. Why was the wood wet amd warped?? ... Duhhh. How utterly stupid.

Nick Doty: BUYER BEWARE!! Technically incompetent, shady business, and unresponsive customer service. Argent installed my new heating/cooling unit. Days after moving into my new build (with the new heating/cooling unit), insulation from my heat melted all throughout my heating/cooling closet releasing terrible fumes and nearly causing a fire. Fast forward a year and a half later -- my auxiliary heat (from my 1.5 year old HVAC unit) burnt out. Keep in mind, most HVAC systems have 10 - 20 year warranties. Argent sent someone out, said it needed to be replaced, and then I had to follow-up via phone 2 weeks later to get a status update. Darnella informed me the part was ordered and would be here in 4 weeks. During this time it was sub-30 degrees more than half of the time, with no heat. 4 weeks later, I called and was told the part had not been ordered. It would take another 4 weeks. Then Robyn took my call and said it had been ordered, but it would still take another 4 weeks *headscratch*.. really? Robyn informed me she would try to get the manufacturer and the distributer to cover the costs. 4 weeks later, I had to call again (because Argent doesn't know how to update their customers apparently), and was told it would be another two weeks at least. Robyn informed me the manufacturer, distributer, nor Argent would cover the parts or labor for the piece. All to say, I've wasted my time dealing with this incompetent company. There hasn't been one bright spot: their units, the installation, and the people are all faulty, incompetent, and rude at best. Don't waste your time! Seek HVAC services elsewhere! Some of the repair people they send do not have much experience. Others are top notch. Many of them are always trying to sell me something else. He did not. Anita Adkins: I purchased a replacement for a broken high-end faucet ($599) on 3/31/22. The technician told me someone would call and it should only take a few days, so my faucet was left dismantled. No one called. I called to check on it a week later. I was told it takes 5-7 business days. We waited a few more days, then my husband called again. This time, he was told it could take up to 30 days. He asked to be transferred to our local office to speak with someone. The call was transferred, my husband was greeted by his name, then the call disconnected. No one called back. The very next day, just shy of a month, we got a call the faucet was in. But it was not the right faucet; it didn’t fit. Again, the technician said someone would call me, but no one called. After seven more business days I called again. I requested verification another faucet was ordered or to have my money returned. I was assured the Manager, Geo, would check on it and call me back. No one called. It is now almost the end of May and almost two months later; my sink is still inoperable. We had been customers of United Air Temp for over ten years. Our account has always been in good standing and we haven’t needed much outside of regular maintenance. The dismissiveness and lack of customer service we have received is shameful. I am requesting my money back.

The scheduling is very prompt in setting up appointments and the service technicians are on time every time and give a courtesy call 0.5 hr before arrival time. Michael Brown: As a company, REI should not inflict their political beliefs onto customers. That said, they carry good gear and this particular location is fantastic. Every time I have come here they have exactly what I need. The staff are friendly and helpful and generally knowledgeable. I don’t know who makes REI branded clothes and gear, but they do a good job.

Mike R: I like this store for so many reasons. First: they have excellent customer service. Today I walked in with my bike to get my flat tire fixed. A woman approached me and signed me in. Then a man walked up to me and asked if I would like to him to park my bike. I was appalled by this gesture. Second: This establishment has everything here. I mean like… leave that bike area if you want to. You will be buying anything from energy gel to underwear. Third: conveniently located right beside the metro.

H Gill: Great store! love REI… but checking out here is always a 15 min wait. The checkout line moves at a snail’s pace, and the managers/supervisors don’t seem to care. I’ve seen customers put items down and leave out of frustration.

You park in the parking deck and then have to walk all the way around a whole city block because they have blocked off the elevator and stairs. So, you drive into the parking deck and then have this surprise journey ahead of you, through a sketchy alley and everything. Just wanted to give other customers a heads up!

Ben Layton: Bike shop effectively closes at 6:30, not 7:00, since you have to get on a wait-list to get the bike checked in and the wait-list closes at 6:30. Called in advance and told them when I'd get there and they didn't mention that, so came all the way here for nothing. Turnaround on basic repairs also 9-10 days rn, which is honestly nuts.

R: Oddly enough they aren’t dog friendly yet I saw a pitbull walking around without a service vest. The area around is horrendous, good luck finding a parking spot. Really disappointed that REIs aren’t dog friendly yet their competitors REI and Bass Pro is.

George Grabow: Contacted Michael and Son for general plumbing and pipe repair in a location that had very difficult access. One of their highly experienced plumbers, Eric Blackmon, called and asked to see if he could come early. I was overjoyed as our water supply had to be turned off. Erick immediately assessed the situation and briefed me on some of the complexities and how he planned to proceed with the repairs. He kept me completely informed of his progress and asked me to inspect the project when completed. He was very knowledgeable and shared some of that with me. He then asked if I needed any other repairs work and then made some expert suggestions of other potential problems that I should keep my eye on. This was a very friendly approach with no pressure applied - information only, and I appreciate that. I will certainly ask for him for any future plumbing needs. Brittany Booker: Our service person was very nice and knowledgeable and completed the work in a timely manner. However, the work (electrical panel replaced) that was done to me is "incomplete" but according to M&S it is complete and we would have to get a "handyman crew" to fix the dry wall that the Michael & Son employee cut out and drilled back in a sloppy manner. I emailed Michael and Son's customer service and was told it's an additional cost for the dry wall to be fixed..usually costing $350 extra. Also, originally we were going to use their "leasing program" in order for this unexpected job to be completed. We asked every question we could think of to our service person and the bank they use for this program. It was not explained that if we paid it off early that there would be a "buyout" to complete the 120 month contract they wanted us to sign. ($10k total) This whole process to me was not very smooth and to honest "incomplete" due to the extra dry wall that had to be cut below the paneling. UPDATE 4/7/22 We were told the job was "complete" about a month ago, however when the Dominion person came out today to inspect the final project, there was a copper wire that wasn't grounded. Carol Willis: It is unfortunate that this company sends standard responses to complaints and does not reach out directly to the customer. If the person responding to my posting had taken the time to review my account they would see that I called and asked to be contacted by customer relations several times. I am stuck with this heating/hot water heating system that I paid $15,000 for and only worked for 3 months. I am very disappointed. This company installed a furnace and hot water heater system in November. Three months later I discovered water leaking from the system, there was water all over the floor. A tech came out on a Wednesday but was able to make the repair. The tech shut off the valve and had me turn off the system. He returned the next day and stopped the leak. Due to warmer than normal temps I didn’t realize the heat was not working and on Saturday morning the temperature in my house was in the 40s. A tech came out for the third time on Saturday but wasn’t able to fix it. I would have to wait until Monday. The tech returned for the forth time, was here for about an hour. He left saying that he thinks he knows what the issue is but it is 1100 on Monday and I am still without heat and hot water and waiting for the tech to return. I don’t have any confidence that even if this system is fixed that it won’t break down again. I began calling customer service on Saturday when it was clear that the system couldn’t be fixed. I asked for a replacement of my system. Unfortunately the people who could help were not available on the weekend. I waited until 8 on Monday and still had not received a called. At this point I was quite angry. I finally received a call back and I vehemently expressed that I wanted a replacement system. I was told it didn’t work that way and he wasn’t in the mood to be yelled at and hung up. I have been without heat and hot water since Friday and I am unsure when my system will be repaired.

Christine: Michael & Sons has done my furnace installation and electrical panel upgrade as well as regular maintenance on my A/C and heating. They are always professional and are mostly on time. They could be a little better about cleaning up after themselves but it’s not a huge complaint since they do a good job on the actual project at hand. There are small things I wish they would be more clear about such as they won’t be patching the square they cut out of my wall to work on the electrical panel so I have to find someone to do that as I’m not handy myself. They’re not the cheapest service but they’re not the most expensive and most of their services have a pretty good warranty that’s included. Hong Qiang: Our 15 year old water heater had to get replaced and I was able to get next day service through online scheduling with Michael & Son. The technician came right on time. R and D: Michael & Son - Plumbing – Shower Repair - 2/23/2022 The technician respected my property by putting on foot covers at the door (each time) and not parking in my driveway without asking. I appreciated that the technician followed health protocols for wearing a face mask. The technician asked about the problem and listened to my concern (“The shower will not stop dripping”). The technician explained his assessment of the problem based on his inspection and he offered a solution. He offered assurance that Michael and Son could fix the problem and the price (up scale) for the service. The technician completed the repairs promptly and professionally. After he completed the repair he showed and explained what he had done. The door was wide opened and I entered only to be charged aggressively by the 3 attending employees, shouting for me to exit. Then the older guy rudely and aggressively closed the door as I exited. He then snarkly stated “I guess!” When informing him that 8:00 was in 14 minutes. It was really disappointing to have to endure such rudeness in the morning.

Sassy Sauce: Who doesn’t like Costco. It’s filled with stuff we really don’t need, but when we see it we justify why we want it and figure out the rest later. The tire center crew is very helpful and I have bought car batteries from here as well. The ease of rerun for items is really good and the process is very streamlined. I like the selection of items and it’s generally well staffed. I don’t have to wait too long in line before checking out. The gas prices are the best I’ve seen in the surrounding areas. It’s usually a win whenever we visit.

Anthony Stewart: A bit crowded, but great just as every other Costco. If you haven’t been a member for a while, now is your time to go back! Things have only gotten better! Pretty easy to reach by public transport if one doesn’t plan to get much (and traveling by bus and metro forces one to be a bit more circumspect in one’s purchases). Will be returning monthly and already know where to find great holiday essentials. Hadn’t had Costco pizza in years, and it really hit the spot. It’s one of the few places in the country where a meal and a drink can still be had for under $3!

Oceanie De Silva: Love Costco and specially this DC one as it’s the only one that sells Liquor in the whole DMV area! We find some great items- coconut water from Sri Lanka, Dutch ovens for a great price! Hard Liquor and wines and beers etc amazing collection!! And great prices too! The Japanese whiskeys are a treat and also some fine wines from France and Spain! Also the service is great and efficient! Even though it’s always crowded you move fast!! Become a Member and come over to the DC one!

B. Lipkowitz: This is a great store for just about anything personal, business, and corporate. A courteous, efficient staff is ready, available to serve, offer samples, or assist along well stocked aisles of both the familiar and upscale. Libations, anyone? The A+ "adult beverage" section has an exceptional array of wines and spirits.

I SLAY ALL DAY TRAVEL The Solo Traveler: Its always a pleasure coming into this Costco to see the workers with great customer service. They are friendly and kind. The selections are wide and many. I really like this location and it’s close to home.

Jneen Pas: The lines were long but the cashier was polite. Then my reciept didn't print at the register and I had to wait an additional 20 mins for them to bring me a printed reciept from the back. Made my rating less.

Hannah Solomon: I'm just reviewing so they'll read this some day on beach too sandy water to wet. It's what you expect. At one point in my life I lived on the rotisserie chicken, miracle noodles, and bell peppers. 10/10. Return policy is clutch for trying out new stuff too.

Paul Simao: I woke up one January morning to discover I had no heat. I called B&B and they sent out Cesar promptly. He quickly diagnosed the issue - the company that had installed my new furnace and AC 18 months earlier had run an uninsulated pipe from the condensate pump to the outside, which froze when temperatures dipped, cutting off my furnace. Cesar rigged up a temporary fix that provided me heat and then came back the next day with his colleague Melvin to sort out the permanent fix. It was all done quickly, professionally and with a smile. That's why I have a contract with B&B.

Kev- keepingitreal: This Walmart offers Capital City Mambo Sauce, Fruits, Vegetables, Seafood, Poultry, Dairy and all sorts of Household Items. This Walmart needs to improve its Elevator services, only two out three of the elevators are working, it would be nice if they removed one of the elevator and replace it with stairs that lead customers from the parking garage to the street level and to Walmart store level for easy access. The current stairs only give customer access from the street level to Walmart store and no access to the parking garage. This Walmart includes a Pharmacy and free two hours of parking in the parking garage. This store has shopping carts available in the store and in the garage areas.

Mirka Mendez: It's Walmart, there are no grocery stores nearby (that I know) so it's an option. Smaller than the usual supercenter, very small produce section. There was an approximately 10 min wait at every registers when I visited.

PaulDavid Morado: Not exactly the best side of town. It is Walmart so all things that go with Walmart come along with this place. It's not close to any Metro station so be prepared for a walk is it on the other side of Chinatown. Excellent place for fruits and vegetables in all things grocery but be prepared also to bring your own bags as there seems to be carts missing

Aminah Imani: Its conveniently located but not the best Walmart to be in. The customers were loud and the security with large bullet proof vests doesn’t make it a welcoming vibe. Grab your products and head out quick. They do validate parking and leave patience for the slow running elevators. The employees were helpful and efficient. This location isn’t my preference but it gets the job done when in dire need.

Sassy Sauce: Mixed experience with this store. It’s a good location and there is parking available in the underground garage. First 2 hours are free. The store has items locked in a case that I couldn’t understand. For example, women’s underwear and some personal hygiene items. Also, the store wasn’t too crowded while I was there and the associate I asked to help me gave me clear directions as to what aisle the product I needed would on. The parts of the store I visited were clean and the overall shopping experience was ok. No major complaints. Just strange observations about profits being locked behind glass.

C. Zed: Well it exists, that I appreciate. I’ll continue to shop here. The cashiers scan items more than once, has already happened twice for me. The store is small and often too messy. The aisles are narrow, and the carts are way too big for the store. Many items are locked behind cases. Could be a better experience, especially for the closest location to the US Capitol.

Virginia S: Need more employees/cashiers working. These stores rely too heavily on self checkout. Which is fine if you like to DIY but there shouldn't be so little cashiers that you turn the customers into employees and shoppers at the same time. Some people go shopping for the experience of the human interaction they have buying their things, having someone else ring it up is part of the experiences. Stop cutting corners your customers are not happy with it trust me

Van D Peluche: Terrible terrible. Twice I have ordered online groceries and the first time I did not get it until an hour later and the second time I didn’t get it until a day later than the scheduled period. Absolutely awful. Plus no one in any department answers phone calls. And their produce is very poor quality. May as well not even have the grocery delivery service. Will not even notify about orders being held for the next day.

Harriet Saulsbury: Love shopping at Walmart, some of the eorker are rude ask them a question they always say its not my department and walk away. Another thing as many seniors and disable people shopping there on a daily basis you only have maybe 10 electric scooters for the entire store which is a super store but you have maybe only 2 scooters working. You also took away your seating you have in the lobby of the stores where are we supposed to sit and wait on rides and family members to finish shopping?

Don Malnati: Nice store, The sales clerks are helpful, but there aren't very many of them. I knew that Macy's sold the perfume that my wife wanted, so I just dashed in, was directed to where I could find it, and purchased it along with a nice gift bag. They have a large variety of things, the gift bags were really inexpensive. A good shopping experience!

Muniba Khan: Stopped by from out of town since the weather ended up being a lot colder than expected. We were able to find some winter wear for a reasonable price, although I wish they had a wider selection of warm coats and some gloves for these cold fronts. Everyone that helped us was super great and friendly!

Charmaine Hurst: I'm from Philadelphia and the Macy's in Washington DC is much better looking inside! Brighter lights,the women's clothing layout displays of colors style,etc. That makes you want to be there and shop and look around. Brighter lights and the white painted walls helps to be a pleasant experience and welcoming. Clean lines and spaces makes it look larger. It is better looking than the Macy's in downtown Philadelphia where it is gloomy looking and old looking.It need a upgrade!

Kristen Ashworth: Had a lot of fun at Macy's while we were on vacation in DC! A perfect way to spend a rainy day on a girl's trip... or any time we needed a little retail therapy ;) . Their shoe and purse department is expansive and most of our purchases were marked down substantially. They even have a section for dogs - good quality dog toys for cheap prices! Dominee in the shoe department was extremely helpful and attentive for all the shoes we tried on - super fast getting sizes, kept us laughing, and went above and beyond to help us!

Michael Anderson: I enjoyed walking around the store window shopping for new items. They was a pretty good selection but thank goodness I wear a popular size or I would have purchased the whole store! I may go back to the Macy's near my home to do some wardrobe updating in the near future.

Jacqueline Francis: I went with my daughter to return a sport jacket and to look around for any new items. My daughter met her former coworker who was kind enough to assist with her return. The experience painless and without incident. After the return, we made our to the children department. My daughter wanted to see if there anything new out for babies 18-24 months. There were some times, but nothing much that caught her. My grandson did grab a footsie pajama and my daughter saw a cute pair of sneakers and a tee shirt. Very cute 😍! The checkout rep was very friendly, and he was the manager. Overall, a great experince🙏🙏🙏

C Meadows: Terrible customer service in their furniture department. The gentleman that "helped" me didn't seem to have a clue what he was doing. I asked him questions he couldn't answer so he said he would check with his supervisor and then call or text me the next day. He never did. When I came back to the store three days later he was rude to me about the situation. Shop online to avoid the poor customer service.

Susan Marich: Signs are tough to find. Feels like a fire hazard. Terrible service. Four clerks at the perfume counter just stood around talking and would not acknowledge I needed assistance. I looked for a clerk on several floors ( no one around) and the up escalators didnt work; 4th floor before I found a clerk who would help. The worst! I ended up leaving and spent my money elsewhere. Some people don't need a job I guess.

Cherisse Pais: This store is a disaster. None of the suitcases had prices on them, so I had to hunt down a cashier to find out how much one was, who was MASK-LESS the entire time, not to mention completely incompetent. She ended up charging me when all I wanted was a price check. And then she tried to talk me out of processing a refund, insisting that is was a good deal (it wasn’t). Absolutely not worth going here! It’s gone so far downhill.

Jessica Boada: Good prices but it needs better employees that really like to help . Today is 1/28/22 l was at walmart 2 days ago the skate boards were price 18.98. So today i go buy the skate the price is the same i get to ✔ out the guy goes the price is 29.98 im like no they are wrong so i asked him to fix honor the price he said he can not do it the manager comes show me a picture if you want the item i go take the pic waited in line again another cahier tried to help but the first cashier said no I have the transaction on hold. So i kept on waiting them it was only one person behind me and he said i cannot do it go to customer services. I go he said to customer i have a big line i was like really. Ok finally thay send me back to the manager and she did not ask for the pic or anything and charged me 29.98. But before this she said to the customer service do not come with that. Anyway she was not even wearing the mask properly she had it on her neck. I end up returning the item and got the price at customer service with a DIFFERENT cashier after 3 different lines. Pooooooooooor customer service specialty from the manager

taqueya spriggs: I experienced very poor customer service. My family and I shopped here for the first time a week ago and the cashier who rung the father of my children's items began yelling at him because he realized after placing his items on the belt that he forgot to pick up an item that he needed in the aisle. Thereafter, the cashier began shouting for him to return to the checkout counter to complete his transaction because the store was closing soon. I for one don't have a problem with store personnel explaining to me that I am unable to go back to the aisles to select additional items to purchase because closing time is vastly approaching, but it's how you talk to people. Not to mention store security personnel tried to intimate myself and the father of my children in front of them as if he wanted to arrest us. He also became antagonizing by ordering another patron nearby to pull out his phone to video record him throwing me out of the store when I had no involvement with the incident that transpired between the cashier and my significant other. I will never shop at this location again and retail workers should be mindful of their tone and demeanor with customers because my significant other was not being confrontational, disorderly, or destroying property after being publicly humiliated in front of everyone in the store for no apparent reason. This kind of behavior is shameful and despicable and I was mortified. I am a regular shopper of Walmart corporations and I spent a lot money that day and do not deserve to be treated like a common criminal. With everything going on in the world and due to poor customer service and lack of respect for others, I think retailers should convert their services over to online shopping. This way customers can still reap the benefits of shopping without the having to potentially endure poor customer service. In the future Amazon will get all of my business.

scmi7y: Not too good experience, they did not have any of the 4 things we came for. Also they don't sell graphic cards in this store. Staff was 50/50 some was very helpful and good attitude. While others seemed annoyed by customers getting in their way and asking "stupid" questions. Somewhat hard to navigate the store. And prices has gone up lately.

Keshia Wideman: The absolute worst customer service ever. The store manager Patrick is non responsive to the lack of professionalism and ethics of the staff concerning, customers concerns/complaints. They are definitely a representation of his leadership and it shows. He doesn’t follow up on cooperates complaints, and the store is not organized properly at times. They don’t honor price misplaced items, and the cashiers are sarcastic, and rude at times. Crystal has been there awhile and can be rude and dismissive. I had to address her , and others about their rude, unethical behavior.

Michael Perez: If Purgatory exists, this Walmart will be a level. The place was clean and had an organization known to them. Not like any I've ever visited (and I've had the pleasure...to visit more than a few) but I'm sure when you've done your penance of shopping here a few times you get used to it. What really sets this store apart from the others is the stylistic hell that is the checkout process. 7 lanes with at least 9 patrons each. Cashiers that appear to be participating in a slow-down strike (and if they are, my hat's off to them and their cause). And at least 3 arguments between customers that verged on World Star territory. I will say that the curbside personnel were a little more engaged in their work.
