Amy Bishton: This fall, when my 20 year old gas boiler would not fire up upon first use, I contacted Polar Bear to take a look. Their response was incredibly quick, with a tech dispatched on Monday afternoon based on a Sunday evening email. The tech arrived promptly, worked efficiently, was knowledgeable and willing to answer all my questions on boiler operation. Fortunately, the problem turned out to be minor (pilot light out), but it is re-assuring to know I can confidently turn to Polar Bear when I have HVAC needs.

Robert Hoffman: Patrick came the week before, without delay, when we reported that the outside unit was continuously running even though it was not a cold day. Gerald added freon last year and the unit was 14 years old. Paatrick said the blower was out and would cost $1,800 to replace. So we decided to replace the entire unit. Patrick was very good about explaining everything as we made our decision about what to purchase. Today (4/22/21), Levi and Trey came and installed the unit. Lew Williams: I recently contracted Hugee Corporation to replace an aging Carrier unit with a High Efficiency (16 Seer) Goodman condenser, coil and humidifier. The HVAC technicians were professional and very knowledgeable. The entire installation was successfully completed in less than three hours. All of the old equipment was hauled away and the technicians used lots of company provided floor coverings for extra protection making cleanup quick and easy. Brenda Pilgrim: Yesterday I called Hugee Corporation for their help in fixing my air condition unit that was not working. Around 9:30 a.m. this morning, the company dispatched one of their worker to my home, and upon checking the system, he was able to spot the problem right away. He discovered the compactor was bad, he when to the shop to retrieve the new part for the AC system, replaced it and the system is working awesome. Hugee Corporation was very professional and the technician was well verse as to what was required for the system to work properly. My family was very happy with the service that was rendered. I am therefore recommending Hugee Corporation as an excellent Air Condition Company. I will make sure and past on this information to all of my family and friends. Again thanks, I am colder than ever, and I am actually dressed accordingly for the flow of the air that is coming out from the system.
Kawytae Norals: I recently hired Hugee Corporation to come out and resolve my issue with my AC unit, as well as figure out why my 3rd floor was not cooling to my standards. They performed an assessment, and it was determined that I may need AEROSEAL, as well as a duck cleaning. Upon them starting and running the pre-aeroseal work, it was determined that that was not the issue, and the duct work was clean (honesty). It was later determined that I needed my AC unit serviced, as well as repair a rip in the duct work in the attic. Receiving honesty and integrity from a business goes along way in my book. It is one of the most important qualities when dealing with companies that you have never worked with before. I highly recommend them. Alonzo F: Magnolia Plumbing Service. A couple of days ago I noticed water was leaking from my hot water tank. Call around for estimates for a tankless water system but was shock at the prices. I call several companies for the estimate and decided to go with a regular tank water heater. I chose Magnolia Plumbing to replace my tank. The plumbing service technician was mainly why I chose this company. He followed up that night with a call to see if I made a decision to go with his company. He saw that my water was ready to go and to call in the morning if I had any problems. Sure enough, that night the water tank fail and water all over the place. I called the plumbing technician Pasquale Skok, he call back and told he would check his schedule and see if he could come that morning. He did come and installed my new water heater and this is the first time that I received such great service from a Plumbing company. Magnolia Plumbing your technician is a true value to your company. Syed Younus: NICE Heating & Air was amazing, from the get go when the sales person came, to understanding options / pricing / financing with the main office, all the way through the technical side of things with the installation crew. I’m extremely happy I went with NICE- there are a lot of HVAC installation crews out there but I truly think this business thinks of the customer first. They use great technology in terms of scheduling and are transparent with what they’re selling (equipment, cost) which I appreciate, as many other companies refuse to do the latter. The entire crew was patient, flexible and customer-service oriented. I highly recommend NICE and will use them going forward for maintenance. I know I’m in great hands with them! You will see they are well reviewed in all the sites out there, don’t just take my word for it!

George Grabow: Contacted Michael and Son for general plumbing and pipe repair in a location that had very difficult access. One of their highly experienced plumbers, Eric Blackmon, called and asked to see if he could come early. I was overjoyed as our water supply had to be turned off. Erick immediately assessed the situation and briefed me on some of the complexities and how he planned to proceed with the repairs. He kept me completely informed of his progress and asked me to inspect the project when completed. He was very knowledgeable and shared some of that with me. He then asked if I needed any other repairs work and then made some expert suggestions of other potential problems that I should keep my eye on. Christine: Michael & Sons has done my furnace installation and electrical panel upgrade as well as regular maintenance on my A/C and heating. They are always professional and are mostly on time. They could be a little better about cleaning up after themselves but it’s not a huge complaint since they do a good job on the actual project at hand. There are small things I wish they would be more clear about such as they won’t be patching the square they cut out of my wall to work on the electrical panel so I have to find someone to do that as I’m not handy myself. They’re not the cheapest service but they’re not the most expensive and most of their services have a pretty good warranty that’s included. Hong Qiang: Our 15 year old water heater had to get replaced and I was able to get next day service through online scheduling with Michael & Son. The technician came right on time. It was a big job to be done by one person not to mention he has to go get the new unit and to haul away the old one. 5 hours later our hot water system is back in business. R and D: Michael & Son - Plumbing – Shower Repair - 2/23/2022 The technician respected my property by putting on foot covers at the door (each time) and not parking in my driveway without asking. I appreciated that the technician followed health protocols for wearing a face mask. The technician asked about the problem and listened to my concern (“The shower will not stop dripping”). The technician explained his assessment of the problem based on his inspection and he offered a solution. He offered assurance that Michael and Son could fix the problem and the price (up scale) for the service. The technician completed the repairs promptly and professionally. After he completed the repair he showed and explained what he had done. While I am very satisfied with the completed repair, my confidence in Michael & Son could have been boosted higher if the specifics of the written warranty for the services and parts I received today was highlighted on the invoice. Caren Penso: The nice man they sent, Yohanbes, was very professional and on time. He did my semi annual heat pump check and cleaned my dryer vent. I have this done every 18 months but no one was ever as thorough as he was. He took a lot of lint out and could not believe I had it done only 18 months ago. He told me that probably the guy before me did not do a good job. Very honest of him. I’ve been using this company for almost 20 years. Some of the repair people they send do not have much experience. Others are top notch. Many of them are always trying to sell me something else. He did not. Michael Stanton: Huge thanks to Johnny and JP on their installation of our two new Navien tankless water heaters, sump pump and water filtration system. The process working with Johnny was efficient from initial quote to installation zero surprises. We received clear instructions on how to use the new system (which has minimal maintenance!) and we greatly appreciated the clean manner with which the team worked in our house including the tidy equipment installation. Thomas Agbonyitor: My technician Milan arrived on time both days. He was very professional. He wore a face mask and shoe covers like I asked the whole time. One of my bathroom sinks was leaking. He checked it out and it turned out I needed a new valve and a new faucet. He was very communicative and showed me pictures of under the sink throughout the process. He fixed the valve the first day then I bought the faucet the next day and he installed it a couple days later. There is no more leak and my new faucet works perfectly. MaShana Davis: CroppMetcalfe was great! This was our first time using them. Our hot water had been scarce the last few months. Didn’t know why, and they came in to diagnose it. We have a tankless water heater. Although the model we have appeared new to the tech (Jared), he took time to call the manufacturer and get some advice on how to assess the issue. He even called to get the price of the part that was needed to resolve it. Jared returned after the part was ordered, installed the new part, and stayed around until we were sure the issue was resolved and we were satisfied. Ivan and his team are attentive and just all around good people. Robert Teachout: I was notified by text when the tech was on his way, which included a map that tracked his travel to my home. The tech was respectful, putting on mask and paper shoe covers. After a brief inspection, he quickly resolved the issue that was causing a banging noise in the fan, explaining what he did. After completing the maintenance portion of the visit, and BEFORE installing, he asked whether I wanted to get a replacement filter and humidifier pad (no on the filter and yes on the pad). He showed me how to replace the pad and how to properly use the metal electrostatic filter I have, which will save me money going forward. Will Bonner: My friend and roommate, Ethan, referred me to these guys and I’m very glad he did! I’ve been to DP three times now with various car issues, and they’re always very clear about what the problem is and how to fix it. David and his crew are always having a good time and it’s clear that they are enjoying what they do, which makes the trip there so much more bearable. Emily Guskin: Dave is the best mechanic. I have a 20 year old car that I hope to drive for 20 more years because of Dave. I have never been condescended to by anyone on his staff and never feel ripped off. In fact, he often charges me less than his estimate and regularly tells me not to bother to fix some stuff. He also lets me order after-market parts myself and then I just pay his team labor costs. Everyone who works there is nice, enormously competent and clearly enjoys their work.

Carmine Faul: I have a Honda Element. Metro Motor here and at the Capitol hill Penn Ave were great. I had an issue with my alternator, and on the way to AutoZone to buy a new one, my battery ran out of juice. It was late at night, and I called around. I spoke with Woody at Metro Motor at Capitol Hill and he quoted me a price that was 300$ lower than the honda dealership. I got a tow, and by my own fault, was dropped off at Metro Motor | Penn Ave before I realized the difference. Dontaye at Metro Motor | Penn Ave welcomed me with open arms, even though it was closing time. He worked with Woody at Metro Motor Cap Hill, and Dontaye honored the price I was quoted from the different location. During the process, he troubleshot and found several blown fuses and replaced those free of charge along with my alternator which had gone. He was great at communicating with me through the process. Woody followed up with me as well the morning after I dropped off my Element and was very helpful throughout the process. It has been about two months now and my car is running great.
