Harold Brenner: I was redoing my daughters vanity drain after she bought a new one. After extensive research and measuring, I thought I knew what I needed. I failed to find the required pieces at a generic hardware, so I went to Eastern Plumbing Supply. The person there looked at my pictures and suggested a much better alternative for much less money. Their prices were great. It worked out exactly as they suggested!!

Gabriel Gopen: Polar Bear installed a ductless mini-split for us and they were some of the best contractors that I have ever dealt with. We needed to convert a sun room into a home office. A sales rep came out to discuss options and look at the space. He walked through all the details from where the unit would go to the conduit lines. When the unit we ordered couldn't be delivered, they upgraded our unit at their expense. Great company, highly recommended! Services: Ductless heating & A/C services , Heating system installation

Anne Miller: Our heater stopped working and it very cold in our house. Polar Bear did come out on a Sunday in a timely manner. The owner seemed friendly. He was wearing a mask but it kept coming down as he was talking so it was pointless. He told me I needed a new furnace costing $5200. My furnace is only 10 years old, we bought a very good model and was told it would last 15 to 20 years. He told a very inappropriate political joke during our conversation and is very good at selling. He went on and on about why it wasn’t worth repairing. I thanked him and decided on a second opinion. The next day another company came in and repaired it for $750.00 and assured me the furnace will be good for another 10 years. The parts they repaired were not even close to what Polar Bear said was wrong with it. Buyer beware and always get a second opinion. I do not recommend Polar Bear!

Tim Rann: Very friendly team and easy to schedule. Purchased the 2x annual service contract. The first AC inspection went smoothly, although the technician didnt really clean anything (just made sure everything in working order). Suggested I use a hose to clean the condenser on my own - had hoped they would do this. My unit started leaking a few months later, causing some minor flooding in my basement. Had to call Polar Bear a few times over the weekend before they confirmed that they don't send anyone out on Sat or Sun. Was able to get an appt on Monday afternoon - no real harm done, but would have been nice if they were upfront on timeline (esp for "priority service" per my service contract). Technician very quickly identified the core issue and getting an estimate for a new system one day later. Overall, pretty happy with Polar Bear - customer service very pleasant, technicians on-time and very nice / to the point.

Tracy Roman: We had a great experience with Polar Bear. We called them in the middle of a heat wave and they had a technician out to us the next day. The technician was on-time, courteous and quick. He diagnosed the problem in a few minutes, fixed it on the spot, and made recommendations for future maintenance of our system. Also, the employee who answered the phone and scheduled the visit was very courteous and helpful. All in all, we are extremely satisfied and will use them in the future for any heating and AC problems.

Sophia Malone: I highly recommend Polar Bear Air Conditioning and Heating for AC installation. I own a 1913 row house in Washington DC and after eight long hot summers, I finally decided to have central AC installed. After getting estimates from multiple companies in the area, I decided on Polar Bear. Joe Kelly, the owner, provided exceptional ideas for installing central air in my older home. The duct work went through the attic and walls, so no exterior ducts with drywall were needed. Mr. Kelly offered the best, most competitive price. Communication with Mr. Kelly and his crew was easy. I didn't have any concerns about the crew working in my house and they were respectful of my space and pets. The project was completed ahead of schedule. I'm very pleased with this investment of AC from Polar Bear and look forward to enjoying a cool, comfortable house next summer.

Amy Bishton: This fall, when my 20 year old gas boiler would not fire up upon first use, I contacted Polar Bear to take a look. Their response was incredibly quick, with a tech dispatched on Monday afternoon based on a Sunday evening email. The tech arrived promptly, worked efficiently, was knowledgeable and willing to answer all my questions on boiler operation. Fortunately, the problem turned out to be minor (pilot light out), but it is re-assuring to know I can confidently turn to Polar Bear when I have HVAC needs.

Lew Williams: I recently contracted Hugee Corporation to replace an aging Carrier unit with a High Efficiency (16 Seer) Goodman condenser, coil and humidifier. The HVAC technicians were professional and very knowledgeable. The entire installation was successfully completed in less than three hours. All of the old equipment was hauled away and the technicians used lots of company provided floor coverings for extra protection making cleanup quick and easy. Brenda Pilgrim: Yesterday I called Hugee Corporation for their help in fixing my air condition unit that was not working. Around 9:30 a.m. this morning, the company dispatched one of their worker to my home, and upon checking the system, he was able to spot the problem right away. He discovered the compactor was bad, he when to the shop to retrieve the new part for the AC system, replaced it and the system is working awesome. Hugee Corporation was very professional and the technician was well verse as to what was required for the system to work properly. My family was very happy with the service that was rendered. I am therefore recommending Hugee Corporation as an excellent Air Condition Company. I will make sure and past on this information to all of my family and friends. Kawytae Norals: I recently hired Hugee Corporation to come out and resolve my issue with my AC unit, as well as figure out why my 3rd floor was not cooling to my standards. They performed an assessment, and it was determined that I may need AEROSEAL, as well as a duck cleaning. Upon them starting and running the pre-aeroseal work, it was determined that that was not the issue, and the duct work was clean (honesty). It was later determined that I needed my AC unit serviced, as well as repair a rip in the duct work in the attic. Receiving honesty and integrity from a business goes along way in my book. It is one of the most important qualities when dealing with companies that you have never worked with before. I highly recommend them. Adam Fine: Worst customer service and transparency. It is impossible to get someone to even get back to me in a timely manner with a quote. It was simple enough to get a diagnostics visit set up (though they scheduled it for the wrong day by mistake). Then charged more than double what I was quoted for the diagnostics visit. Really unprofessional. Severe lack of transparency when it comes to quoting/billing. Do no recommend anyone uses this service until they drastically improve the way they do business. Pro Functional: Between being overcharged on more than one occasion, redundant diagnostic fees, breaking the heater while fixing the A/C, and then charging us to fix the heater that they broke, I felt compelled to share my experience with HUGEE Corporation. First, we must use HUGEE due to the fact that our home's HVAC unit was installed by them and is serviced by them per our home warranty terms. On 6/26/2019 we called HUGEE because our air condition was intermittently failing. It would not blow cold air consistently. HUGEE sent a tech and unfortunately, the system was blowing cold air at that moment. We were billed $125 for the diagnostic and $95 for the tech to literally just show up and tell us he can't do anything since it is working. We paid the $220. I agree that it's difficult to diagnose an intermittent problem. Bill paid. On 7/22/2019 the HVAC finally completely fails. They again charged us another $125 diagnostic fee + labor. I felt we had already paid the diagnostic fee on 6/26/2019 which resulted in nothing. Whats worse is this time they charged us twice for the labor since they sent two techs. Each tech accrued an hourly rate. What's odd is that the 2nd tech's job was literally holding the door open. I would have suggested using our door stopper. The techs were friendly and I was happy that the AC worked so left it at that. On 8/2019 our 2nd HVAC unit failed completely. Keep in mind that both HVAC units were installed by HUGEE. I called HUGEE and asked for an estimated cost to avoid being blind-sided. The lady on the phone explained it would cost $125 for the diagnostic fee and $90 per hour. They sent a tech who confirms that the HVAC had indeed failed and charged me a $125 diagnostic fee and says he'll need to order a part and install it on a future date. Fine, that's fair since he had to drive here. On 9/2019 the part finally arrives and HUGEE Corporation sends a tech to install it. Since I was told it was an hourly job I noted the start time and end time. The total time to complete the job was hour. But they charged us $425 for the visit when the 1 hour should have costed us $90. This was over 400% more than what they quoted us. When I asked why he said "That is just what my boss told me to charge". I called the office and the lady confirmed that she told us $125 for the diagnostic fee and $90 per hour. However, this time they had to charge $425 since the part was under warranty, which made no sense. This was not disclosed to us on the initial call or any time after ordering the part. At this point, I was annoyed but not compelled to write a bad review. It is now 11/5/2019 and in VA it's when it gets cold. We turned our HVAC unit to heat. We immediately noticed that there was no hot air. I reluctantly called HUGEE and again asked for a cost breakdown. The gentleman explained that it was now a $45 trip charge and $25 per 15 minutes. They send a tech out and this is the worse part of the experience. The last time HUGEE came out to fix the unit on 9/2019 they failed to secure a wire so it was loose. He pushed the wire in and the heat immediately started to work. I'm not an HVAC expert but I'd expect that testing for both heat and air/condition are required after replacing a core component. But they didn't. They billed us $209 for 1 hour. $125 for the diagnostic fee when they quoted $45 by phone. $80 for labor when they quoted $25 for 15 mins. When I pointed it out he immediately acknowledged it and said it was a mistake. I am not frustrated with the tech and don't fault him at all. Mistakes and miscommunication happen. I get it and can empathize. The tech was friendly and ultimately got the HVAC to work properly. And he connected me to his boss to figure out how to handle the transaction. It was the owner/"boss" of HUGEE who ultimately made the final call to make us pay for an issue they created, in addition to overcharging us almost double. You could also argue that the HVAC should've been checked for both heat and A/C after the repair on 9/2019. The heat was never tested until we tried to use it.

Zach Geller: My experience with Magnolia was abysmal. I called Magnolia on a Thursday asking them for the first available appointment because my air conditioner was dripping a lot of water every time it turned on. They said the first time available is that Sunday... fine, I get it’s the busy season. Sunday comes along and the technician’s equipment, a wet vac, isn’t working and says he will have to come back when it is working. He notes that the cause of the problem is likely the condensate line and that he will call to schedule the new appointment. Days go by and I don’t hear back from him or anyone at Magnolia so I called again. It is now Wednesday, 6 days since my first call. Miraculously, they say he can come that day! I stay home that day and wait for his call but it never comes. Late that evening I get a call from the tech saying he can’t come that day but he’ll be there Friday morning. He arrives on friday morning with his wet vac and nothing else and vacuums out the condensation pan and then asks for paper towels - I figure he’s cleaning up some of the splashed water that got on the walls and floor. Then he says something along the lines of “if the problem persists, we will need to rebuild the condensate line” and hands me his card reader to pay the bill. $189 dispatch fee and $235 for vacuuming out the pan. I was shocked. Had I known he was just going to vacuum out the pan for $235 and not actually fix the problem, I would have spent the $200 at Home Depot to buy my own wet vac. Unsurprisingly, the drip started back up within the day but was coming from a different spot now. I followed up directly with him and then with the dispatch team. I asked for them to apply the money I already paid to actually repairing it... a full week later and I still have not heard back. I’ve never felt like anyone has ever taken advantage of me so aggressively before. $424 is no small amount of money, especially considering the time I needed to put into this for negative results. Not to mention that when I hired a more competent company to clear the condensate line, they found the paper towels I handed the Magnolia tech shoved into the pan which caused the leak to move and damage even more drywall. I’m still waiting for my refund. Make this right, Magnolia. Service: Repair HVAC

Matt Toigo: I've had Magnolia do work for me twice and both times they've been outstanding. I needed advice on an old boiler and Angel clearly ran me through everything I had, checked everything over, what service options were available, and didn't try to scare me into servicing anything or buying a totally new system. Really appreciate having all the info I needed to make good decisions on maintaining or replacing what I had. I had another plumbing company no-show for a job, called Magnolia up, they got Nelson here at 9AM the next day. They gave me an estimate before starting any of the work, talked me through everything they were going to do, and capped a gas line and installed a new tub faucet in 2 hours. Life is too short to deal with contractors who don't communicate well or show up so I'll call them every time now for anything plumbing/heating related. Chris Faircloth: The customer service at this company is atrocious. I have been rescheduled and cancelled on multiple times after providing a down payment and being repeatedly assured that service would be performed during the scheduled appointment. I will update this review if they ever actually fix the air conditioning but so far we are going on week 5... Update: The AC has been fixed but at double the cost that was estimated based on the initial visit. While the technician was kind and apologetic, I will be looking elsewhere in the future.

Alonzo F: Magnolia Plumbing Service. A couple of days ago I noticed water was leaking from my hot water tank. Call around for estimates for a tankless water system but was shock at the prices. I call several companies for the estimate and decided to go with a regular tank water heater. I chose Magnolia Plumbing to replace my tank. The plumbing service technician was mainly why I chose this company. He followed up that night with a call to see if I made a decision to go with his company. He saw that my water was ready to go and to call in the morning if I had any problems. Sure enough, that night the water tank fail and water all over the place. I called the plumbing technician Pasquale Skok, he call back and told he would check his schedule and see if he could come that morning. He did come and installed my new water heater and this is the first time that I received such great service from a Plumbing company. Magnolia Plumbing your technician is a true value to your company. Bill Lawall: After having them come out and determine that we would need about 1k worth of services we were not able to do on the first appt. Paid for coming out and giving an estimate. Next made an appt for 2 weeks later on the only day the building can/would turn off the water to do the work. wanted first thing and was told they would be there between 8-10. Christopher B: One of the better Ferguson's in the area, in my experience. Staff are pretty helpful and they usually have what I'm looking for. The one thing they don't carry that is important is 20' lengths of pipe. So may not always be the best choice if you're on a big commercial job working with cast iron.

Outside unit was not running and vents had no airflow; temperatures outside were hovering around 94 degrees. He was able to get a technician out to my address later that day. The tech (rick) got me up and running and even dealt with severe traffic that day. He even had to make a trip to grab a part to fix the unit. Very happy and grateful for their service and making sure this was all fixed on one trip. I would highly recommend and I am very appreciative of their work.

Stephen Palmer: The technician who first came out was good, he answered our questions, located the problem, and attempted to fix it. That where the good stops, from this point on Three J’s Company was awful. The were supposed to submit a service ticket to replace our dishwasher and didn’t do that at all. Didn’t answer my calls, wouldn’t give me any updates, never called me back, and the management personal was awful. After 70+ days without a response or working dishwasher i reached out to another company and it was fixed a week later. Then i filed a complaint/dispute with my bank since they charged me and did nothing for me and someone from Three J’s Company had the nerve to call me and try to tell me i don’t understand how the process works and that i was wrong and this was my fault. Tried to point blame at me and took no responsibility for their own company. I wouldn’t recommend this company to ANYONE and if i could give them a zero rating, i would

Dawn Foreman: The technicians left us in worst shape than we were before they came. They were assigned to us through our home warranty company to fix our refrigerator. Two different technicians came to our house 4 times. The last tech left saying he was going to recommend a replacement because he had no idea what was wrong. We reached out to our warranty company, and they told us 3 J's diagnosed the problem as an "internal short" which is not covered. We now have to buy a new refrigerator out of pocket, We have asked them several times for paperwork to show what they recommended and the repairs they made but they have yet to furnish them. They told us that we needed to get them from the warranty company, and the warranty company says 3 J's needs to provide those records to us. Our first interaction with them was March 2021. Joanne was very responsive until after the final diagnosis was provided was provided to the warranty company. Now she is not returning our call. She is the liaison for my home warranty company. We strongly suggest not allowing these people into your house to fix anything.

Yemi: Don't recommend even if this company offers a free service. Their utterly incompetent technicians and horrible customer service will not disappoint you. They are one of the vendors used by American Residential Warranty (ARW) out of Texas. Three Js was hired by AWR to place a kitchen faucet in my house, it took more than three months before they finally showed up. When they did, they tried to replace a $500 faucet with a faucet that cost $115. When I asked why the technician lied and said AWR bought the faucet and sent to them. I called AWR and they said Three Js purchased it and that they had no say on the quality of a replacement part. I paid $110/month in premium for AWR warranty, so I think at the very least I deserve a much better service. Also, I live in Alexandria VA where there are many competent plumbers. But AWR went an hour away to fort Washington MD to find an incompetent vendor for the work request.

Sue Rhee: They came to my house under warranty company told me my water tank has hole and need replacement. My warranty company didn't cover because it was over the time issue. I got other plumbing company come out and told me the sensor was the problem. They replaced the senor and working great. I call the company for refund of the service money because it wasn't hole on water heater. The have not responded. Don't use them they don't know what there doing. The other company said I needed to get money back for service charge for telling me false item. DO NOT USE THEM....

Lazarus Gonzalez: This company was assigned to us through our home warranty company. The problem I was having with my freezer was that the ice cream would not stay in a frozen state, it was like soup but the other items in the freezer remained frozen (with the freezer set at maximum). We had this problem for months because the companies that had come out to diagnose my freezer said they did not work on sealed systems. Three J's came out to diagnose the problem and said that a fan motor was not operating correctly. The very next day, EVERYTHING in the freezer had melted and spoiled. This was a loss of hundreds of dollars worth of food. It has now been two weeks (they said the part would be in and we would have our freezer working in a week and a half) and I have not received ANY update on our freezer. I tried to have another company re-assigned through my home warranty company but they said they are unable to do that since parts had already been ordered. I am now basically stuck with this company to complete my repairs. I would NEVER recommend anyone to do business with this company. Spend the extra money and use a company that has higher ratings and a better reputation to help you maintain your sanity.

Ros Angus: RUN, do not walk, AWAY from these cowboys. My home warranty firm had them install a new unit two years ago and I've had nothing but heartache and ceiling leaks since. Two HVAC firms and a roofing company all inspected the issues and determined that Three J's installed the WRONG SIZE unit for the dormer frame in my attic. Even though I have sent Jimmy (three J's owner) and the home warranty company pictures, neither party is taking responsibility (they frankly don't give a s***.) Not only did I pay over $5K for the new unit, I now have to pay for another new, correctly sized unit (and the repairs to my ceiling and electric fan and lights) to fix the issue. I wish I'd never heard their name - I feel so cheated and upset, and stressed and broke too. These guys should not be in business and DO NOT give them your money!

Yadong Wen: They replaced our HVAC system half a year ago which kept breaking in the last a few months and we called the home insurance company which sent them to us almost every day in the last two weeks to fix but Three Js never came. The insurance company had to send another company to come according to whom Three J's did a horrible job. There are more than one places not done right and the system might be faulty as well. The new company suggested us to complain Three J's online. This is absolutely the worst service I have seen in many years.

George Grabow: Contacted Michael and Son for general plumbing and pipe repair in a location that had very difficult access. One of their highly experienced plumbers, Eric Blackmon, called and asked to see if he could come early. I was overjoyed as our water supply had to be turned off. Erick immediately assessed the situation and briefed me on some of the complexities and how he planned to proceed with the repairs. He kept me completely informed of his progress and asked me to inspect the project when completed. He was very knowledgeable and shared some of that with me. He then asked if I needed any other repairs work and then made some expert suggestions of other potential problems that I should keep my eye on. This was a very friendly approach with no pressure applied - information only, and I appreciate that. I will certainly ask for him for any future plumbing needs. Brittany Booker: Our service person was very nice and knowledgeable and completed the work in a timely manner. However, the work (electrical panel replaced) that was done to me is "incomplete" but according to M&S it is complete and we would have to get a "handyman crew" to fix the dry wall that the Michael & Son employee cut out and drilled back in a sloppy manner. I emailed Michael and Son's customer service and was told it's an additional cost for the dry wall to be fixed..usually costing $350 extra. Also, originally we were going to use their "leasing program" in order for this unexpected job to be completed. We asked every question we could think of to our service person and the bank they use for this program. It was not explained that if we paid it off early that there would be a "buyout" to complete the 120 month contract they wanted us to sign. ($10k total) This whole process to me was not very smooth and to honest "incomplete" due to the extra dry wall that had to be cut below the paneling. UPDATE 4/7/22 We were told the job was "complete" about a month ago, however when the Dominion person came out today to inspect the final project, there was a copper wire that wasn't grounded. M&S had to come back out and complete the job a 2nd time. Service: Electrical panel replacement or upgrading

Carol Willis: It is unfortunate that this company sends standard responses to complaints and does not reach out directly to the customer. If the person responding to my posting had taken the time to review my account they would see that I called and asked to be contacted by customer relations several times. I am stuck with this heating/hot water heating system that I paid $15,000 for and only worked for 3 months. I am very disappointed. This company installed a furnace and hot water heater system in November. Three months later I discovered water leaking from the system, there was water all over the floor. A tech came out on a Wednesday but was able to make the repair. The tech shut off the valve and had me turn off the system. He returned the next day and stopped the leak. Due to warmer than normal temps I didn’t realize the heat was not working and on Saturday morning the temperature in my house was in the 40s. A tech came out for the third time on Saturday but wasn’t able to fix it. I would have to wait until Monday. The tech returned for the forth time, was here for about an hour. He left saying that he thinks he knows what the issue is but it is 1100 on Monday and I am still without heat and hot water and waiting for the tech to return. I don’t have any confidence that even if this system is fixed that it won’t break down again. I began calling customer service on Saturday when it was clear that the system couldn’t be fixed. I asked for a replacement of my system. Unfortunately the people who could help were not available on the weekend. I waited until 8 on Monday and still had not received a called. At this point I was quite angry. I finally received a call back and I vehemently expressed that I wanted a replacement system. I was told it didn’t work that way and he wasn’t in the mood to be yelled at and hung up. I have been without heat and hot water since Friday and I am unsure when my system will be repaired.

Christine: Michael & Sons has done my furnace installation and electrical panel upgrade as well as regular maintenance on my A/C and heating. They are always professional and are mostly on time. They could be a little better about cleaning up after themselves but it’s not a huge complaint since they do a good job on the actual project at hand. There are small things I wish they would be more clear about such as they won’t be patching the square they cut out of my wall to work on the electrical panel so I have to find someone to do that as I’m not handy myself. They’re not the cheapest service but they’re not the most expensive and most of their services have a pretty good warranty that’s included. Hong Qiang: Our 15 year old water heater had to get replaced and I was able to get next day service through online scheduling with Michael & Son. The technician came right on time. It was a big job to be done by one person not to mention he has to go get the new unit and to haul away the old one. 5 hours later our hot water system is back in business. R and D: Michael & Son - Plumbing – Shower Repair - 2/23/2022 The technician respected my property by putting on foot covers at the door (each time) and not parking in my driveway without asking. I appreciated that the technician followed health protocols for wearing a face mask. The technician asked about the problem and listened to my concern (“The shower will not stop dripping”). The technician explained his assessment of the problem based on his inspection and he offered a solution. He offered assurance that Michael and Son could fix the problem and the price (up scale) for the service. The technician completed the repairs promptly and professionally. After he completed the repair he showed and explained what he had done. While I am very satisfied with the completed repair, my confidence in Michael & Son could have been boosted higher if the specifics of the written warranty for the services and parts I received today was highlighted on the invoice. Chip adams: Had service tech ( Jeremy ) come out to charge a/c unit with freon very quick service and Jeremy was polite, knowledgeable and professional but the price for service call a dye test and 5 LB of freon was $785.00 thought price was extremely high but wanted my air to work and had an emergency call for my business to get too. Called my HVAC man in Colonial Beach VA later I own three houses there, they pay $400.00 for a 30 LB tank of R 22 that's $13.33 per LB x 5 = $66.65, I am a business owner for 35 years and managed four others before that so I understand about mark up and overhead but that was ridiculous.

Lindsey Reines: I had bought a new heat pump less than 8 years ago from this company and have had numerous problems. Recently they told me that I bought from them a poor quality unit and should call the manufacturer myself to see if they could help me. Even though I bought it from them they offered no help. They were going to email me all the repair history and of course they never sent me anything. The manufacturer offered to do nothing so I had 2 different companies look at the system. Both said that the unit was never installed properly and that was part of the problem. I paid J&P at least $1,000.00 to tell me I had a leak in the system. One company found it just using soapy water. J&P tech not showing up, no return phone calls, promises not kept, etc. I bought a new system from another company that services all my company units which is 14 in total. I would tell anyone not to use J&P !!!

Doge 1: They were professional and gave a fair quote for repair. It was 3x less than a much larger company. Unfortunately, J&P couldn't do the service due to our limited crawl space access. After initially collecting the $90 trip fee they decided that customer service mattered over money and didn't charge us. Next time we need service they'll be the first company I contact.

Roguect Garbeled: Always reliable, trustworthy and prompt! Once again J&P has saved the day, this time diagnosing and repairing a conked-out AC on the first day of the heatwave in slightly less time than could be considered miraculous. That's why I always call them. That's why I had them install the system in the first place some dozen years ago and this is only the second problem it has ever had (first was actually furnace-related and not the AC, so that means just one failure per 12 years on a furnace and on an AC; not bad). Friends I have recommended use J&P have all been equally pleased with both the quality of work and of the HVAC equipment recommended. I think they are reasonably priced for service calls. Getting the work done correctly and quickly makes it a bargain. Getting it done HONESTLY makes it almost precious. Seriously, they probably could have said I needed a new Wankel Cuff Bonnet Orifice Tube for the Controlled Vortex Dashpot Damper and what would I have known? I was hot. Now I am cool, thanks to J&P (and Melissa, who commissioned the system. Sweetest gift a sister ever gave. I almost said it was the coolest but have sworn off puns because... oh, no you cannot fool me. As I was saying--> Thanks, sis!) My appreciation and loyalty to J&P for selling me a reliable system and for continuing to provide great service!

keith jackson: The gentleman called me back while shopping. I proceeded to describe my problem and he placed me on mute while he talked to “another shopper”. Then took me off of mute after I’m like “hello” (noticing I’m on mute) so I can him wrapping up his conversation. After repeating what I said while on mute he cut me short. Nick Doty: BUYER BEWARE!! Technically incompetent, shady business, and unresponsive customer service. Argent installed my new heating/cooling unit. Days after moving into my new build (with the new heating/cooling unit), insulation from my heat melted all throughout my heating/cooling closet releasing terrible fumes and nearly causing a fire. Fast forward a year and a half later -- my auxiliary heat (from my 1.5 year old HVAC unit) burnt out. Keep in mind, most HVAC systems have 10 - 20 year warranties. Argent sent someone out, said it needed to be replaced, and then I had to follow-up via phone 2 weeks later to get a status update. Darnella informed me the part was ordered and would be here in 4 weeks. During this time it was sub-30 degrees more than half of the time, with no heat. 4 weeks later, I called and was told the part had not been ordered. It would take another 4 weeks. Then Robyn took my call and said it had been ordered, but it would still take another 4 weeks *headscratch*.. really? Robyn informed me she would try to get the manufacturer and the distributer to cover the costs. 4 weeks later, I had to call again (because Argent doesn't know how to update their customers apparently), and was told it would be another two weeks at least. Robyn informed me the manufacturer, distributer, nor Argent would cover the parts or labor for the piece. All to say, I've wasted my time dealing with this incompetent company. There hasn't been one bright spot: their units, the installation, and the people are all faulty, incompetent, and rude at best. Don't waste your time! Seek HVAC services elsewhere! Sassy Sauce: Great discounts on Christmas items as part of the holiday sale. I picked up Christmas stockings for under $5.00. There were fire pits on clearance as well. I like this location and they generally have the items I’m in need of for repairs or decorations, etc. The staff is very helpful as well.

Stuart Miles-McLean: I don't like all the self check out lines which are killing jobs. They did have things I was looking for in the wild bird and critter section, but it appears they need more employees -- all over the store -- to keep the inventory organized and properly shelved and labeled. The employees I did encounter were very helpful and friendly; it just looked like they need more of them.

Kev- keepingitreal: This location offers a variety of affordable items for your home improvement needs. I really appreciate the staff in the aisle for assisting me with finding items on my check list. At check out the cashier was welcoming and friendly. This store was very clean and offers plenty of parking.

Jessica Fullington: Today I went to the garden center for some outside plants. Yolanda was so very helpful! She was able to answer my questions, she even went and got me a cart so that it was easier for me to get the items I purchased to my car. It is so refreshing to have people who are pleasant and helpful at their jobs I will definitely come back to this location to get all the plants I need this spring! Marla was very helpful as well along with the young man who answered some of my questions about my plans. All around a wonderful experience!

goklt: Lots of materials here. Check out was fast. However good luck asking for assistance. Lots of associates are walking around but not helping customers. I tracked an employee down for assistance in moving materials from a high shelf to store level in the door section. He called two times for assistance to my aisle but no one came and he advised going to customer service. They called and still no help. Had to track somone down in a different department altogether. Crazy.

Chase Johnson: The employees here are courteous. But the wood cutting service they claim to offer is not available when needed. The store should just be candid that wood cutting won’t be available (or at the very least won’t be available at any specific time). I am a local DIYer (not a contractor). Before I bought wood I asked about cutting and was told it was no problem—buy it and then request a cut. I did. I was then told the lumber associate wasn’t available for an hour. I couldn’t get the wood (a single sheet of plywood I needed to cut in half) into my car, so I waited. After an hour, there was still no lumber associate, so the wood was never cut.

N R: Terrible customer service. Returning an item took 3 months of repeated calls to schedule a pickup and even when Lowe's had the item back multiple calls were needed to secure the refund. Such a hassle, so worth avoiding! The third party delivery service that they use doesn't turn up in the agreed time slots so it's very easy to miss them and then get stuck in the web of calls that are required to reschedule.

Annie Signorelli: I ordered a dishwasher with professional installation and the process from start to finish was completely nontransparent and unprofessional. The installation had to be rescheduled because the dishwasher wasn’t pulled down for pick up in time, and then when it was installed it was the incorrect dishwasher — not even the right brand. After several hours on the phone with the Lowes installation line, including being told multiple times that they couldn’t advance the process because they couldn’t get in touch with anyone at their own Lowes store, I called the store directly and was able to sort it out and get the installation rescheduled. A Lowes associate later told me that they don’t have the “luxury” of waiting on hold with the store which is what I had to do in order to ensure my order was completed. Finally the correct dishwasher was installed on the third attempt and I was told I could contact the installation line again to discuss compensation for the inconvenience. Again it took multiple attempts to even get an update on where my case stood, despite being told every time that I should expect a call back “by end of business” every day I called. When I finally got offered compensation it was for less than half of the amount I requested (I requested the installation service be refunded seeing as it took 3 attempts and I was the one having to set everything up because Lowes did not follow through). While I am satisfied with the product I am in disbelief at how difficult and unprofessional the process was with Lowes. I do not recommend purchasing appliances from installation from this store or using the Lowes installation services.

Conchita Coney: Excellent but one of the employees didn't know what he was talking about whereas getting parts for a 2019 torro self-repellent lawn mower. He told my husband and I to go to store name Grainger on MD 202 they are either closed or permanently shut down.

Elizabeth Ramming: Assistance was top notch!! The gentlemen working there were very polite and helped me a lot with specific questions. HOWEVER-- However, I needed lumber, a 1X6 piece. What they had in stock was WET. But oh! I found 2 dry pieces at the bottom. But alas, don't be happy for me. Those pieces were warped in both directions - both along the length and width. That's it. So, shut up and buy it, or fight DC traffic to go someplace else. Both of those options were the absolute WORST. Why was the wood wet amd warped?? ... Duhhh. How utterly stupid.

Bonita Vincent: I purchased as service warranty with United Air Temp last year and again this year. So far their service personnel have been prompt to appointments, knowledgeable of what needs to be done, polite and able to answer all of my questions and concerns. The United Air Temp phone staff for maintenance appointments and services calls are easy to work with also. I am very happy with my dealing with them. They fixed my furnace within days of diagnostic of the issue, it was just a matter of waiting for the part come in. Maintenance service calls alway end with suggestions to keep my system in good order. Services: Heating system maintenance , A/C system maintenance , HVAC duct & vent cleaning , Heating system repair , HVAC system maintenance

Bryana Streets: It literally took 5 minutes to schedule an appointment and they had availability the next day! The gentleman Josh was very nice and friendly. He arrived early, which was great and was able to fix our furnace the same day! He talked to us about getting a new furnace but wasn’t pushy or extra. marianne fasolo: Kevin and Fig were terrific! They came (wearing masks) which I really appreciated! They arrived on time and got straight to work and didn't stop until their work was done. I was very impressed. I also took notice of how well they worked together and could see that they both take great pride in doing a good job. Within 2 hours my AC was blowing ice cold air and running smoothe and quiet. Professional, diligent, personable, knowledgeable. Thank you both so much. I highly recommend. Toshia Ellis: American Home Shield actually dispatch a recent issue to United Air Temps. They were fantastic. They answered the phone! Was able to schedule my visit when I wanted. Received a 1 hour window which is better than the 3-4 hour window normally given. The service person called each time they were in route. Happy with the service provided for my rental property. Kaye Wells: Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ResponsivenessUnited Air Temp installed a new water heater for us. Installing a much larger tank in a tight space and having to update the pipes to today's code was tedious, I'm sure. But they were pleasant, professional, worked quickly and were very time efficient. We have been very happy with our installation. We would DEFINITELY use them again.

Caren Penso: The nice man they sent, Yohanbes, was very professional and on time. He did my semi annual heat pump check and cleaned my dryer vent. I have this done every 18 months but no one was ever as thorough as he was. He took a lot of lint out and could not believe I had it done only 18 months ago. He told me that probably the guy before me did not do a good job. Very honest of him. I’ve been using this company for almost 20 years. Some of the repair people they send do not have much experience. Others are top notch. Many of them are always trying to sell me something else. He did not. I much appreciated that and hope he has a long and successful career with the company. Service: A/C system maintenance

Anita Adkins: I purchased a replacement for a broken high-end faucet ($599) on 3/31/22. The technician told me someone would call and it should only take a few days, so my faucet was left dismantled. No one called. I called to check on it a week later. I was told it takes 5-7 business days. We waited a few more days, then my husband called again. This time, he was told it could take up to 30 days. He asked to be transferred to our local office to speak with someone. The call was transferred, my husband was greeted by his name, then the call disconnected. No one called back. The very next day, just shy of a month, we got a call the faucet was in. But it was not the right faucet; it didn’t fit. Again, the technician said someone would call me, but no one called. After seven more business days I called again. I requested verification another faucet was ordered or to have my money returned. I was assured the Manager, Geo, would check on it and call me back. No one called. It is now almost the end of May and almost two months later; my sink is still inoperable. We had been customers of United Air Temp for over ten years. Our account has always been in good standing and we haven’t needed much outside of regular maintenance. The dismissiveness and lack of customer service we have received is shameful. I am requesting my money back.

Ashwin Urs: United Air Temp has been servicing my HVAC systems for the past 3 years and am very happy with their service. The scheduling is very prompt in setting up appointments and the service technicians are on time every time and give a courtesy call 0.5 hr before arrival time.
