Chels Owens: Looooooooove their cake and cupcakes! These people are top notch and make high quality baked goods, you will not be disappointed. I got a gorgeous unicorn cake from them that was a huge hit with my friends and I got myself a cotton candy cupcake that was the absolute best.

nitubw: This is my go to bakery for special ordering celebration cakes! Buttercream makes it easy to order online and provide ideas for specialty cakes. My older daughter loved her Wonder Woman cake! It was honestly looked almost too good to eat. Almost. She had her favorite flavor, S’mores. They made my younger daughter’s Moana dream come true with her birthday cake which also incorporated her favorite flavor: Vanilla cake with lemon curd and strawberry buttercream (despite it not being on their menu at that time). The cake was the right amount of sweet and the buttercream was fantastic. My husband had also purchased one of their peek-a-boo cakes (Elderflower soaked lemon cake with blackberry jam and vanilla buttercream) for my birthday. Let’s just say this family of four devoured it!

Kay Chevalier: I was in DC for the weekend and my Airbnb was close to the bakery; I’m too embarrassed to admit the number of times I stopped in to get another treat. Everything I tried was amazing! Like AMAZING!!! Their savory breakfast roll was super. The one I had was filled with egg, cheese, & sausage. The Queen Bee was flakey and soft and buttery and sugary, a perfect balance. Oh my, I want one just thinking about it. Ps.- their unicorn hot chocolate is adorable!

Mackenzie Jandernoa: Super cute and friendly spot! The Reese peanut butter cup cookie bar was absolutely phenomenal and worth every bite. I enjoyed the chocolate chip cookie and the half brownie/half cookie bar as well, however, the funfetti cupcake was a huge miss for me; this certainly could be due to personal preference. It just didn’t have much flavor. More specifically, the frosting was super bland. Overall, it’s still worth stopping in and checking out the variety of treats they have to offer!

I ordered a vanilla cake with Oreo filling, as well as a few dozen cakesicles in red velvet, funfetti and cookie butter. All were delicious, but my favorite was definitely the cookie butter! I sent her an inspiration photo for the cake, but ultimately gave her creative freedom to do whatever she wanted. The cake came out so fun! Since then we have always paid the extra $25 to have the cake delivered instead of picking it up. The cakes always taste amazing and always look good. The only thing I will say is that my last cake was delivered in a box that smelled like smoke, so I had to immediately take it out of the box and throw the box away. Chrissy Farmer: Very good! There is a gluten free option which is incredibly delicious. I’m a huge fan of allergen friendly menus. My family was pleased. The cakes are moist and the icing is perfect. It’s fun for kids because mine got to build their own cupcake. Expect to pay $6 a cup cake, but worth it.

(Chiseled chest, cape, and Thor Hammer) Although James was super busy, he took care of me and made sure I was able to get my order in. He was helpful in talking through the design and collaborative to make it exactly what I wanted. I honestly was primarily going for looks but when we ate it, I was beyond thrilled! The quality of the taste and texture of the cake matched the artistic accomplishment as well. I’ve read that some people feel the cakes are expensive but after calling around...they offer the most customization with the most creativity and best taste. All of the above made it a great value. This cake made for an unforgettable birthday for my husband and all attending. I would order from them again in a heartbeat.

Raphael Robinson: I was so disappointed with this place. I ordered a round family tree themed cake. I sent them pictures of my vision for the cake and they said no problem. My brother in law picked up the cake and brought it to my dads house. When I opened the box, I thought it was a prank. Please see pics below. Cake on the left is what I wanted. Cake on the right is what I got. The cake looked like it was done by a second grader. From the tree to the “grass” everything was just sloppy and poorly executed. Some of the writing looked like it was done by a third grader. I wanted little squirrels like the picture and the squirrels they made looked like huge rats. After all that, the cake wasn’t even good. Wasn’t worth the money at all.

Expectations were high for Sticky! When we walked in I initially thought that the neo look was interesting...but after looking around the store it seemed to be randomness that I found difficult to connect with. When I order, the employee seemed to be rushed and somewhat annoyed. The store was not very clean. The products that I bought were tasty, but the entire experience left me wondering...is this the true Sticky Finger experience...? I hope not. I will be giving Sticky another try, but sometime you only get one chance to make a first impression.

She wasn’t accommodating to my needs and wasn’t really interested in meeting my needs of a $2,000 cake budget. I asked her to do something within my budget and she stated that my vision was too big for a cake for $2,000. I told her I would be happy to do something within my budget and she simply refused because she wanted me to spend more money. She was very arrogant! I was so offended by the conversation even the email chain. She asked me to send her pictures of my wedding decorations so she can get a vision of how extravagant she would go. I sent her my wedding decor and her response was “less is more” and I would need to tone down my wedding decorations so her cake can be the star. She felt like I would make her cake more of a prop and felt like I needed to adjust my decor and the vision of my cake. Then she told me based on the pictures of my decor my cake price would go up and if I wasn’t willing to pay more than $2,000 for her cake then she couldn’t work for me even if I wanted to go simpler to meet my budget requirements of $2,000. This lady was very money hungry. If I’m paying $2,000 for a cake how could you tell me what to do with it or what decorations I can or cannot put beside it? It’s mine! I paid for it so if I wanted it to be a prop then it’s my wedding cake. She acted as if she was hiring me and I wasn’t hiring her. I wasn’t willing to tone down my wedding decor but i was willing to make changes to meet the budget but that wasn’t good enough. I found her on Instagram and I was blown away by how beautiful her cakes are. Her portfolio is amazing and I’m sure her cakes taste amazing but with her attitude I wouldn’t pay her a dime. Not that she needs my money but as a client you should never make people feel less than like you are better than them or they aren’t good enough for you to work with. Luckily I found a cake baker/designer in the area who is even better and I’m happy again. I do believe Sabrina can indeed make you a show stopping out of this world beautiful cake but you’re probably going to have to be rich and deal with her rude and unprofessional attitude.

Charm Love: Rude. Arrogant. Not willing to accommodate my small-medium size party. Was very rude when asking about designs. Not very welcoming seeing as though I was about to spend $400 on a basic cake design. Nasty vibes. The price wasn’t out of my budget. I just felt a simple accommodation should have been made.

Avonlea: One of my favorite spots when in DC. The cupcakes are so moist and your definitely getting your moneys worth! Before the pandemic the line would go down the street, but since they close earlier you can walk right in. They also have other treats other than cupcakes. Their Rice Krispies are very good! I took a look at their menu on the board, and was surprised to see that there weren’t any prices posted. I then took a look at their foldout menus, and no prices on there either. I was finally able to track down the price of their cupcakes online (they were over $6 per) yet i was unable to find prices for their drinks (but that could be my error) I decided to order the coconut cupcake and a green tea, and my food was delivered to me swiftly! The cupcake itself was very delicious and rich, yet a little lacking on the coconut flavor, and the tea was hot and scrumptious! I definitely would visit again! Edit: I was finally able to obtain a biscuit from them (thanks to the lovely staff for their help!) and it was very tasty! The biscuit is a drop type soda biscuit with the ingredients mixed into it, rather than a layered biscuit.

Da-Wang Wu: A lovely little bakery with many different flavors of cupcakes. They also sell coffee and tea on the other side of the counter. The staff mentioned that carrot cake and strawberry are two popular flavors in their cupcakes. Carrot cake is pretty delicious, but strawberry is just okay for me. Although I don’t like frosting in general, my friend said that their frosting felt freshly made and he actually enjoyed it. Overall, the drinks and cake are a bit too sweet for me, but I guess it might be just fine for others.

Daljit Kaur Grewal: Sooooo good. Ordered a tres leches cake with Bavarian cream for a 24th birthday. The cake was incredibly moist, light, and delicious, and so beautifully decorated with fruits. 8” was more than enough and very affordable at $25. I wish I could’ve left a tip. (Candles purchased separately)

Dia Berrios: Ugh I used love Sprinkles. Not sure if the recipes have changed due to Covid and the food supply shortages but they are not the same. Kind of sad about it. The strawberry was lacking strawberry flavor the only thing that had strawberry was the frosting. Everything else was decent. But for the price I was highly disappointed because there are so many other options in DC. I wont be returning unfortunately.

chelsea gadiano: It was busy but the line goes fast because of the convenient iPad ordering system. The staff were very friendly and order comes really quick! The cupcakes are soooo good! We got red velvet and lemon blueberry! My husband and I loved it! Their cream cheese frosting is the best! Cupcakes are so moist and delicious! Packaging is super cute!

I’ve only had sprinkles a few times at birthday parties and I decided to go there on my own; one of the best cupcake stores in DC! The staff is superb and the cupcakes come out efficiently!

Ree A: I went there in the Mother’s Day, I found only 2 types available of cupcakes it was the first time to try sprinkles Georgetown and reallyI didn’t like the sugar cream on the top of cupcakes also the cake was dry . I don’t know if Im un lucky in my selection choices or they prepare all cupcakes like what I tried. The service was fast although the store was crowded.

The staff at Sprinkles was incredibly friendly and ordering couldn’t have been easier. There were a few customers ahead of me but the kiosks allowed for quick, simple ordering. The red velvet cupcakes were great but the pumpkin was my favorite!

Keli Wright: I always enjoy going to Sprinkles. I went right before they closed and there was no line, a lot of cupcakes were sold out but still a great selection. I have brought lots of people here too.

Stephanie Corte: I’ve been a Sprinkles fan for many years now. The red velvet cupcakes are my very favorite dessert. The cream cheese frosting knocks it out of the park every time. They are just absolutely delicious cupcakes. I recommend becoming a rewards members if you live near a Sprinkles location. I frequently get a free cupcake. This place is definitely worth a visit if you have never been.

Meredith Davitt: We absolutely loved our chocolate wedding cake from Savvy Treats. We coordinated with Cheryl the entire time and she was great in helping us figure out exactly what we wanted. I always wanted an all chocolate wedding cake and Cheryl did not disappoint. I only wish I could have another piece because it was gone at the end of our wedding night. But we ll just have to go back and get another one on our anniversary!

Sthefany Benitez: So the guests ate the whole cake including the 1 year anniversary layer. Sooo good. A lot of times people buy a nice wedding cake but doesn’t taste good. This cake was delicious and you can set different flavors on each layer. Get the cannolis!. If you love dark chocolate the chocolate mousse shooters are the ones. Easy decision for your wedding/event. The other desserts were good too!

Taylor Park: We ordered 15 dozen mini cupcakes for our engagement party. Everyone loved them! We did pick up for our order and it was ready on time. Would definitely recommend for your next event!

Negar Kh: I ordered the blue clues-themed cake for my son’s birthday. They did an awful service!!! The blue dog looked like it was hit by a car!! And the cake taste was horrible. It was soggy and kind of wet for the price of 185$. Don’t order your cake in this place.

Coral Dirks: LOVED the brownies dipped in ganache from here. The brownies were huge, chewy, and looked beautiful. Wish there was more of a store front so that I could try more treats from here! Custom cakes online look incredible. Cheryl was easy to communicate with as well and fast in her response time. Highly recommend!!

Most recently at a graduation party, this bakery provided multiple items. The cakes were beautiful and also very delicious. Everyone especially loved the beautiful cupcakes.

Evelyn Cruz: 1st time ordering from here. I saw there cake online and I liked it. I called to confirm that the cake was going to be the same as online and they said yes. When I arrived Kyle attended me with the worst customer service ever. He showed my cake and I saw it was not like the one online. I let him know and he assured me it was. He even pulled up the picture to see and you can clearly see what was missing. But yet he continue to assure me it was right. Once I let him know this was unacceptable he proceeded by rolling his eyes and took the cake to the back to get it fixed. They did what they can at the time by just spraying a line to "fix" it.Overall the cake was ok.
