Tiny Chefs: what do users think?
Julya Fridman
Julya Fridman: I invited Tiny Chefs to conduct a cooking class at my home in CT for my daughter’s birthday party. She and all 11 of her 4-10 year old guests greatly enjoyed the party! In fact, after the class was over, my daughter requested to do it again next year. For 2 hours, two Tiny Chefs staff members were working with the kids, allowing adults (parents) some time to catch up and the best part was that the kids got to enjoy their own creations at the end. I would highly recommend Tiny Chefs!
Response: Awesome, thank you much!
Kristina Woo
Kristina Woo: I signed my son up for a summer camp hosted by tiny chefs. He really loved it, and he is one to do something one day and not want to return the next; but this time he kept wanting to go back!! He had confidence in the things they taught him and was excited to share! I will definitely be sending him to more classes hosted by Tiny Chefs!
Response: Yes! We love to inspire. Thank you for your post!
Suzy Ghannam
Suzy Ghannam: Wonderful experience! We had a birthday party for my 9 year old and it was loved by all! The girls really felt proud of their work and enjoyed every moment. I had ZERO to worry about! Tiny Chefs did an amazing job! Would highly recommend for those who want a worry-free event!
Response: Thank you very much!
Carolyn Fruzzetti
Carolyn Fruzzetti: My daughter really enjoys the Tiny Chefs camps. The curriculum is well-planned and the staff is professional. I am a culinary school graduate and am pleased with the educational and fun cooking environment (where they clean up their own mess!).
Response: Thank you for your comments! We really appreciate the time you took to provide us with feedback. We look forward to seeing your daughter at a future event!
Thomas Page, Jr
Thomas Page, Jr: My 10 year old loved it- evidently one of her favorite summer camps- ever! Had to order her to bring some of her efforts home as she kept eating everything she made; and what she brought back was delicious! She now wants to go to more baking and cooking based camps.
Response: I love this, very exciting to hear and our personal goal is for our campers to be inspired. Thank you for sharing.
tom parkins
tom parkins: My 3 year old daughter likes pizza and chocolate pudding so I signed us for up for the Tiny Chefs "Pizza & Dirt with Dad" event at Mamma Lucia’s in Bethesda. The online ad looked good and even included a video of kids making & baking personal size pizzas at their events. So I paid the $60 event fee and went to Mamma Lucia’s on Father’s Day. We quickly learned that the ‘pizza’ was actually a small, cold, flour tortilla with raw toppings; that’s right, unbaked ‘pizza’ at an Italian Pizza restaurant. While sitting at the table in disbelief with other parents, I double checked the Tiny Chefs website on my cell phone. After scrolling thru the ad again, the word “pizza” appeared 7 times and at the very bottom of the ad in small print it did say “Pizza, Pizza Roll Up” however there was no mention of an ‘unbaked’ pizza product. My daughter took two bites and threw it away. I mentioned our dissatisfaction to the instructor at the event and she said that ‘she just works there but she would tell management.’ Not confident that would happen, I sent an email to Tiny Chefs management, not something I wanted to do on Father’s Day. Needless to say, after receiving six patronizing emails from them over the next few days, I was informed that they decided to offer an ‘unbaked’ pizza product for safety reasons but chose not to disclose that in their ads; that is misleading! So I googled images of ‘Pizza Roll Ups’ and all of the pictures show baked pizza roll ups. But management dismissed that and felt that $60 was reasonable for a cold, flour tortilla with raw toppings. Really??? So to appease me, I was offered a coupon good towards a future purchase of another Tiny Chefs event worth $30. And risk putting myself through another experience like this with misleading advertising, overpriced ‘pizza’ (or similar food product) and receive yet more dismissive communications from their corporate office? No thank you. So parents, Buyer Beware of Tiny Chefs. Read the fine print & ask questions before purchasing because they don’t offer a customer satisfaction guarantee; and once they have your credit card number, your money is gone. Avoid the disappointment, misleading advertising, overpriced food, unscrupulous business practices and aggravation in dealing with a condescending management team. I just discovered that Wegmans offers a kids cooking class for $10 where you get a large, hot pizza – imagine that! Caveat Emptor!
Response: Thanks for your review Tom. We always aim to please our kids and parents and know you were sadly disappointed with the menu option. We have implemented a customer satisfaction guarantee and hope you will return to a future Tiny Chefs event!

Cozymeal Cooking Classes: what do users think?
Valerie Damond
Valerie Damond: Last night twelve members of my family experienced a truly remarkable Spanish dinner. Chef Greg presented us with a very relaxing and utterly delicious meal. Every course was beautifully displayed and clearly constructed with the best ingredients. He and his helper served us and left the kitchen immaculate. If you would like to experience an expertly crafted Spanish cuisine, I highly recommend Chef Greg.
D H
D H: I had my Cozymeal event today. I have never participated in an online cooking class before, and I must say it was great! My daughter and I took the class making the Chinese dumplings with Chef Li. Chef Li was great and while making the recipes really gave good information on the Chinese culture and the different types of substitutions to use in the event you are not able to get a specific ingredient. She made suggestions regarding kitchen utensils and made sure that all of us were on track with her during her instruction. My only difficulty was with the recipes being in grams and not in US measurements. It would be nice to have both listed. I live in a very rural area and this option of online cooking classes is such a welcome experience. I would definitely take another class!!
Benjamin Bowden
Benjamin Bowden: Really enjoyed having Chef Tiffany cook for my girlfriend and me. Great food, great conversation, and a generally excellent evening. One note: she arrived 45 minutes prior to the scheduled arrival time, when nobody was home. Her early arrival was a positive, as the meal took a few hours to prepare, but Cozymeal should communicate better with the clients about true arrival time. Bottom line: Tiffany provided an excellent French meal, all cooked from scratch, with fresh ingredients. Moreover, there were leftovers! Really looking forward to my next Cozymeal experience.
Alison Ponzi
Alison Ponzi: We had an evening full of freshly made pasta, bruschetta, and bread pudding with Chef Tiffany. I bought a KitchenAid mixer last year with the pasta attachment, and she was open to teaching me how to use it. She also worked with us on our likes/dislikes allowing us to choose a different appetizer. All in all it was a successful night with great food, company, and conversation.
Steven Sacks
Steven Sacks: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueMy girlfriend and I took the Festival of Indian Flavor with Chef Manjiri. It was such a wonderful experience - she clearly explained the agenda for the class, told us about herself, explained all the ingredients, and then helped us through all four recipes with both laughter and fun. What a great time!
Theano Kampani
Theano Kampani: Really enjoyed having Chef Greg cook for my husband and me. Great food, and great conversation! We highly recommend Chef Greg and his Spanish dishes. The star of the menu was the dessert for us :)
Kathleen Norwood
Kathleen Norwood: This was a wonderful experience. Chef Gustavo was a delightful host and instructor He shared knife and preparation tips as well as the history of the food. The food was muy rico and we came away with many tips to make prep easier and food tastier for making a yummy paella as well as other dishes. Chef Gustavo created a welcoming, warm and relaxed evening. Thank you, Chef Gutavo!
Niki Holmes
Niki Holmes: We had an amazing experience with Chef Judith. Her recipes were easy; we had great company; and the Chef taught us some very useful techniques. --Plus--The food tasted so delicious!

CulinAerie: what do users think?
Ryan McGorty
Ryan McGorty: Culinaerie is one of, if not, the most well-known recreational cooking school in the area. They offer a lot of different cooking instruction to aspiring cooking enthusiasts of all different skill levels. They have an online calendar that shows which classes are available and when. The classes book fast, so be ready to book if you see one you like. You can take individual classes on a class-by-class interest basis, or participate in a series of classes designed to improve your skills through a structured course. If you want to take a knife skills class, learn how to make Thai food, or even make tapas, they have a wide offering of options. The actual location consists of two instruction kitchens, with one being significantly larger than the other. The instructor leads the class through the cooking demonstration and there are overhead TVs and assistants in the room to help in case you need it. The instructor usually walks around while you are cooking/preparing food to give you tips. I went here for a date night cooking class and we had a very good experience. We learned a new recipe which we’ve cooked on our own at home. It is pretty expensive, but it made for a great experience.
Michael Alexander
Michael Alexander: We came here for my fiancé’s employer’s Christmas party. It was a fantastic! I love to cook and pursue it as a serious hobby. The instructor was great. She was patient with those who did not know techniques and gave pointers to those of us with working culinary knowledge. I will be planning a family function here in future.
M. Marzulla
M. Marzulla: We did the "Date Night: Craft Cocktails & Small Plates from Mexico City" with Eliza Gonzalez and it was fantastic! The instructions were easy to follow and the dishes were delicious! It was fun learning how to make the cocktails as well, and both instructors were super friendly and helpful! I definitely recommend signing up for one of the date night courses, it turned out to be one of the best dates we have had in a while!
Brittany Gerig Campbell
Brittany Gerig Campbell: We had a fantastic experience at the couples cooking and wine pairing class. High quality food, helpful assistants, and an instructor who was a former chef and really knew her stuff. Wine was free-flowing and we never felt rushed. Would definitely come back!
Amanda Burkholder
Amanda Burkholder: We took a bread making class at CulinAerie and had a blast! The teacher was knowledgeable and clear. We made four different kinds of bread and got to take it home. The class took about three hours, which included instruction, mixing, kneading, and baking the bread. They served complimentary wine, coffee and tea during the class which was a great touch. We will definitely take a class from CulinAerie again!
Vanessa
Vanessa: Took a french macaron class over the weekend. It was actually a really fun experience! The macarons came out so much better than I anticipated! I thought for sure we would bomb the recipe. What makes this experience fun is sitting at the same table with fun friendly people :) The chef was good, though a bit curt. The staff that was helping was really nice. I would definitely come back to do this again. Great date night idea, or something fun to do with friends.

Cookology Culinary School: what do users think?
Deserae P.
Deserae P.: It was a pleasant experience. I did a dinner adult class. The entree item was shrimp risotto. I personally do not cook that much and the chef instructor made me feel great! He explained the only difference of us the professional and they cook over and over. He explained how properly cut and how to add your personal touch. I really felt confident after class. For adults you could get some nice rose. It all was very nice. I would so come again.
Jada M
Jada M: Service was horrible, the instructor teaching us had limited communication and was not paying attention to us. We had to make the macaroons by our selves. They were helping everyone one else but us ours didn’t come out good because they didn’t help us. She said our macaroons were perfect and took them out early causing them to mess up. The instructor was rude and short, seems like she did not want to be there we had limited amount of hands on instruction if you want hands on instruction this is not the class for you. They show once and get irritated when questions are asked. If you are a beginner this this institution is not good for you.
Response: You showed up 45 minutes late for your class. We made the mistake of allowing you to participate. Your girls were not at all interested nor did they participate nor did you participate. The chefs and sous chef had to pretty much do everything for you. It’s still confusing as to why you would even expect us to be able to do more than we did we basically took the class for you.
Stephanie Safro
Stephanie Safro: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueFun way to share an evening. Learned a few things. Made my meal and got to eat while we cooked and took the rest home. Chef Renee was a lot of fun. Food was good. Location was easy to get to with Orange line Metro. We were able to remain socially distanced for others who took same class. Would go there again.

Together We Cook: what do users think?
Cristina Padrao
Cristina Padrao: My daughter had classes with Mari in the past and loved it. We didn’t attend many more classes because Mari’s cooking studio is far from where we live. With the pandemic, I had the idea to ask Mari to do a virtual birthday party cooking class to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and it was a total success. Everybody loved and had a great time (kids and adults!). the recipes she taught us how to make were all super delicious! Thank you Mari for making Gabi’s party so special.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, Cristina! It was a pleasure to be part of your family's special celebration and see all those happy faces cooking together! ; )
Amanda Willhite
Amanda Willhite: We love Ms. Mari!!! She is amazing with children. We’ve done two cooking classes with her and this last one, all three of my girls were able to do it and had a blast. We plan to do many more. In fact, tonight they made the meal they learned for my husband and me. It was delicious! I love how she teaches them how to create healthy delicious food that otherwise my girls wouldn’t touch. One of my daughters is autistic and Mari is extremely patient and understanding with her. I can’t speak enough wonderful things about her and her classes. Let your kids give it a try and you can benefit when they cook at home for you!
Response: Thank you for your most wonderful review, Amanda! So important, especially during these challenging times. I’m glad to hear that the girls cooked at home! 😍
Jennifer Hole
Jennifer Hole: Our Brownie troop had a wonderful experience at Together We Cook. Multiple times throughout the class different girls remarked how much fun they were having. Every single girl tasted at least one new kind of food and many of them were shocked and amazed to learn how delicious egg salad can be! Mari organized a class for eleven 8-year-old girls, at the end of a school day. The girls were full of energy (as always!) and Mari was patient, kept the class moving forward beautifully, and kept everyone engaged. We worked towards the "Healthy Snacks" badge and the girls and their parents were all very pleased with the experience. My two children (I also have a 6-yr-old son) have both thoroughly enjoyed classes at Together We Cook. They have grown in confidence in the kitchen and feel very proud of the skills they have learned with Mari. They have tried new foods during each class and my daughter, after learning to make Apple Galettes in class, recreated them for our extended family last Thanksgiving. The classes are small, Mari has a beautiful calm presence with kids, and her love for teaching about healthy, delicious food is apparent. I highly, highly recommend her classes!!!
Response: Thank you so much for the excellent detailed review, Jennifer! I'm glad that everyone had a wonderful experience. : )
Kyra J
Kyra J: We had our 5th grade junior Girl Scout troop earn their cooking badge today. Mari was great. The girls were engaged. They Used math to plan nutritionally balanced meals. Most of all they had fun.Would highly recommend Mari’s cooking class.
Response: Thank you so much, Jacqueline for taking the time to write a review, Jacqueline! Much appreciated.
stephanie birdwell
stephanie birdwell: We loved Ms. Mari’s class. Our kids attended both in person and online (she manages the online format very well) she’s great with the kids, keeps everyone focused, on task and incorporates science and very practical skills into each session. Our entire family really enjoyed the delicious croque madames along with the yummy salad. A simple, but impressive meal.
J Vyas
J Vyas: Awesome cooking classes for kids. We did one cake baking and decorating class and one pasta-making birthday party. The owner, Mari, is extremely patient with kids. She explains larger cooking concepts (e.g. what to do if you put too much salt or liquid into a recipes). Close to the beltway location with plenty of parking makes getting to classes easy. Highly recommend!
Response: Thank you so much! : )

Jules Polonetsky
Jules Polonetsky: Lovely baked items created by very special people. Spend your money and support independence and training for the employees. Gluten free options available.
Jack Luxemburg
Jack Luxemburg: Though out of the way in an industrial part of Rockville, it is worth the trip. The baked goods are excellent even if the selection is somewhat limited. That the bakery is also a training and employment center for people with disabilities makes buying there doubly good. There are a range of products that are gluten free, vegetarian and maybe vegan.
Michael Shuman
Michael Shuman: Very good pastries and supporting a good cause.
Sydnye White
Sydnye White: Sunflower Bakery nailed the individually wrapped treats for the school faculty and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week. Muffins on Tuesday and cute cookies on Wednesday.

Fonsetta Badger Brown
Fonsetta Badger Brown: The cooking class was loads of fun. Pressure cooked short ribs, mushr!ooms risotto and cheesecake with caramel sauce.. The instructor was awesome!
Tatiana Padilla
Tatiana Padilla: Finally got to do a class in person after joining several virtual ones, we LOVED the experience! It was my Christmas gift to my mom and best friend, it was fun— delicious— and they couldn’t wait to try the recipes at home. Lots of hands on practice, PLENTY of food, and the chef+assistant we’re very engaged and kind. Excited to be back in two weeks for Italian steak night 😋 A few ways the class could be improved: —I ’ve grown up in the US since I was 5yoa, and even I had a bit of hard time understanding the prof. He spoke a tad bit fast/muffled. — offer BYOdrinks, we were sad to be drinking water with such a nice meal. — groups of 2-3 max per station so everyone has a chance to help with the prep. Our group of 3 had 2 stations and we felt that was PERFECT! Wouldn’t want to be 4 people to one station.
Rasha Sharif
Rasha Sharif: Zero for customer service! The lady named Donna was terrible! She did not ask me for my email to add the amount I purchased toward my perks program. She was cold and did not hide her racism from the beginning! I love Sur la table but this was annoying. I want my perks added!! Edit: I love sure la table and I shop online ! This was my first time to stop at the store next door and I was disappointed :(
Alexis McCoy
Alexis McCoy: I loved the cooking class (steak frites, 01May22) the instructor was very knowledgeable and provided tips for other meals with similar ingredients. Would love to do it again.
L. Charisse Davis
L. Charisse Davis: I was looking for some upscale corn holders. They did not have any like that. I started looking around at other things, like cloth napkins. They had some nice ones. But others appeared a bit shopworn (dirty) and were not marked down. I had a hard time swallowing the prices of the "new" ones, much less the shopworn ones that were the same prices. I guess made of linen in India costs more than made in China. 🤭 It is a beautiful store, both inside and out (loved the beautiful potted plants outside), and it does have some nice things--baking pans, appliances, kitchen tools, etc.--just not what I was looking for. Oh, and the staff was very pleasant and tried to be helpful.
Cynthia Davis
Cynthia Davis: My friend and I came here for the pasta cooking class with Chef Scott. It was absolutely incredible we couldn’t stop talking about it all the way home. The instructor was incredibly knowledgeable and fun and all the food was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our girls night out and we will definitely be back for more classes!
Kyle D
Kyle D: The staff is friendly, helpful, but will let you shop if you want to alone. You can get really high end knives and cookware ($1600+) here!
Jay Empty
Jay Empty: So much fun learning to make sushi tonight with Chef Cacchiitti and my table partner Adele.

Pizza University & Culinary Arts Center: what do users think?
Robert McMahon
Robert McMahon: The experience that I recently had at the 3-day course, Pizza Business 101, exceeded my expectations. In just three days, we covered a wide range of topics from ingredients, proper techniques, equipment and basic business startup information. Obviously there is a lot to learn, but the course gave a real sampling of things to think about and processes to practice. I would highly recommend this course to anyone that wants to get started in the pizza business, or even someone that just loves making pizza and wants to understand the business side of things as well.
Ralph Riley
Ralph Riley: Amazing experience!! Everyone at Pizza University went above and beyond to make sure the atmosphere was supportive and collaborative. Jonathan Goldsmith, John Arena and Scott Wiener make a tremendous team. So glad I took the class.

Clare Bolton
Clare Bolton: Frans has EVERYTHING you could possible need. Including cake decorating, cupcakes, cookies, molds. The employees walked up to me and asked if I needed help politely. Very amazing and was like a bakers heaven. Excited to come back!!
Response: Hello Clare, Thank you so much for the 5-star review!! We are happy to her you loved our store! I will make sure to pass the good compliments to our amazing staff. We look forward to seeing you again soon! Thank you!
X
X: I have zero decorating experience but thought it would be fun to try. Chef Dawn taught this layer cake class on buttercream, fresh floral and gold drip. I’d never done piping or icing before but she was encouraging and I left with a pretty good final product. There was 8 in my class, 2 people per table. They provide all the supplies (cake, icing, spatulas, flowers, buttercream, gold, edging tools, etc), you create the product and take it home. Way more advanced classes if that is what you are looking for. They do seem to book out fast, so click all the way on the Event Bright info to make sure they aren’t sold out of the class you want. You get a discount on store products the day of your class. The two store employees (or owner/s?) were helpful and complimentary to us in the class.
Response: We are so glad you enjoyed the cake decorating class with Chef Dawn! Your cake looks amazing! We hope you have an opportunity to join us for another class soon!
Rochelle Whittall
Rochelle Whittall: I buy most of my supplies for cakes from here. I bought some stuff recently and they gave me a wrong product by mistake. I emailed the store to ask for a solution because it was urgent. It was about 1 hour drive so didn’t have a way of going back but a lady named Debbi immediately responded and said she will bring it to me the following day. She delivered it as promised. The store and the staff is great. I highly recommend buying products from here
Response: Hi Rochelle, We appreciate your business and your kind words! I am so sorry we made a mistake with your order. Thank you for giving us an opportunity to fix it for you! We hope the project you are working on is a huge success! Thank you!
surabhi jain
surabhi jain: One of the best stores in NoVa for cake supplies. What makes it stand out is the service. Shoutout to Nick who guided us very well. Very nice experience overall
Response: Hello Surabhi Thank you so much for you 5-Star review!! We are pleased to hear you liked our store and our staff! I will make sure to pass the good compliment along to Nick. Thank you! Hope to see you soon.

Megan Barnes: The cake of my dreams was created by Tiffany at Buttercream. When we did our tasting I was blown away at how I would be able to choose as every flavor was better than the last. She did an incredible job pulling our English garden vibe together for a beautiful cake on our wedding day.
Response: Thank you so much Megan!! You were such a JOY to work with. We are beyond grateful for word full clients like you!!!
Chels Owens
Chels Owens: Looooooooove their cake and cupcakes! These people are top notch and make high quality baked goods, you will not be disappointed. I got a gorgeous unicorn cake from them that was a huge hit with my friends and I got myself a cotton candy cupcake that was the absolute best.
nitubw
nitubw: This is my go to bakery for special ordering celebration cakes! Buttercream makes it easy to order online and provide ideas for specialty cakes. My older daughter loved her Wonder Woman cake! It was honestly looked almost too good to eat. Almost. She had her favorite flavor, S’mores. They made my younger daughter’s Moana dream come true with her birthday cake which also incorporated her favorite flavor: Vanilla cake with lemon curd and strawberry buttercream (despite it not being on their menu at that time). The cake was the right amount of sweet and the buttercream was fantastic. My husband had also purchased one of their peek-a-boo cakes (Elderflower soaked lemon cake with blackberry jam and vanilla buttercream) for my birthday. Let’s just say this family of four devoured it!
Kay Chevalier
Kay Chevalier: I was in DC for the weekend and my Airbnb was close to the bakery; I’m too embarrassed to admit the number of times I stopped in to get another treat. Everything I tried was amazing! Like AMAZING!!! Their savory breakfast roll was super. The one I had was filled with egg, cheese, & sausage. The Queen Bee was flakey and soft and buttery and sugary, a perfect balance. Oh my, I want one just thinking about it. Ps.- their unicorn hot chocolate is adorable!
Mackenzie Jandernoa
Mackenzie Jandernoa: Super cute and friendly spot! The Reese peanut butter cup cookie bar was absolutely phenomenal and worth every bite. I enjoyed the chocolate chip cookie and the half brownie/half cookie bar as well, however, the funfetti cupcake was a huge miss for me; this certainly could be due to personal preference. It just didn’t have much flavor. More specifically, the frosting was super bland. Overall, it’s still worth stopping in and checking out the variety of treats they have to offer!
Kate Morton
Kate Morton: Buttercream was good, the gluten free snickers brownie was tasty but I did hope there would be more gluten free options. My date said the triple chocolate cupcake was good though the icing could’ve been more flavorful.

Suradee Thongkiattikul
Suradee Thongkiattikul: Great place to stop by after the zoo to grab a quick bite. The bagel sandwiches are around $6 and baked goods are around $4 each. Overall a decent place with vegan and gluten-free options. Nut-free and kosher if that’s also a concern for you. They had cute zoo-themed cake pops here and if you want a cute panda pop then this is the place for you. I tried their southwestern sandwich on an everything bagel and it was tasty and big enough that you’re full but not overly stuffed. I also tried their cookie bar and it was okay, though I wish I would’ve gone with their raspberry bar instead (maybe next time).
Marie Brown
Marie Brown: Beautiful cake pops. I wanted to get a holiday gift for my mom (who already has everything) and support local business at the same time. Online order and curbside pickup were very easy.
Rowan Cloud
Rowan Cloud: I love this place! They have a great variety of options, including gluten and allergen free foods. The staff is very nice and incredibly helpful, and I always feel welcomed coming in here. The decor gifted to them from the zoo across the street are an added bonus- so cute!
Pete Freeman
Pete Freeman: Typically coming to a bakery at the end of the day is a mistake, and while I missed the morning brownies there were plenty of cake pops and they were excellent! I also want to counter some of the reviews of staff behavior; the woman who helped me was friendly and quick. I’m impressed!
Toby Barg
Toby Barg: Can’t speak for the in person experience, but we ordered breakfast and snacks to our hotel for our group and it was nicely presented, delicious, on time. Warm bagels snd cream cheese and other options. Highly recommend the Duffins (donuts crossed with muffins) which were fresh, soft and very delicious (maple glazed and chocolate glazed were our favorites).

Sticky Fingers Sweets & Eats: what do users think?
Dwayne Martin
Dwayne Martin: Customer service was absolutely great. I was purchasing some treats for my vegan roommates birthday and they gave great recommendations and he loved it. Definitely will be coming back.
Jessica Williams
Jessica Williams: Love, love love! I’m severely allergic to milk. So this is really my only option if I want dairy free cupcakes from a bakery. The carrot cake cupcakes, coconut, and red velvet cupcakes are AMAZING!!!!! I know red velvet are around all year. I wish the other two were as well. I’ve been in heaven since picking up my order.
Queen Afua
Queen Afua: It was a treat in itself omg I had the matcha tea and an apple cupcake it was Heavenly and everything is vegan which is a plus for me
Maria I
Maria I: I had high hopes for this place and ordered a dozen cupcakes for work. I only tried the red velvet and the frosting was too sweet and the cake was not flavorful.
Carla Godoy
Carla Godoy: I have lived in Columbia heights now for over 10 years and have always seen sticky fingers bakery but have never actually been there. But now since I am a vegan, let me tell you this is the perfect place. The cupcakes are to die for, and so is the rueban with sweet potato fries. My favorite is the sticky buns on my way to college.
Edward Parsons
Edward Parsons: Was super excited to visited Sticky Fingers. I fondly recall watching the owner on Cup Cake Wars and pulled for her because of her vegan values. After a year of living in DC, I took my family to the store. My wife was given a piece of the double chocolate cake, and we had to experience the shop for ourselves. Expectations were high for Sticky! When we walked in I initially thought that the neo look was interesting...but after looking around the store it seemed to be randomness that I found difficult to connect with. When I order, the employee seemed to be rushed and somewhat annoyed. The store was not very clean. The products that I bought were tasty, but the entire experience left me wondering...is this the true Sticky Finger experience...? I hope not. I will be giving Sticky another try, but sometime you only get one chance to make a first impression.

Café Sunflower: what do users think?
Michael Kurtz
Michael Kurtz: I am new to Rockville and recently visited Sunflower for the first time after finding them through a Google search. I was looking for a Kosher bakery to buy something to bring to as a gift to a Kosher home. in addition to enjoying the best and most unique Hamantashen I have ever had, I was so impressed by the staff of young people. This was a truly “feel good” experience. Many thanks for the opportunity to support such a great community service. I look forward to indulging and trying new treats very soon
Seth Hoffman
Seth Hoffman: This coffee shop is a diamond in the rough, difficult to find from the road but well worth it! Staff are friendly and helpful. They gave me a love of Chai Latte that I will never forget. Also pastries. Mmmm pastries.
Andrea Simhony
Andrea Simhony: Amazing apple pie and pumpkin are my favorites. Delicious not too sweet. Melting in your mouth. Can’t go wrong with this place.
Diego Proano
Diego Proano: Great little coffee shop inside the executive building with delicious baked goods. The staff is very friendly and caring. Stop by for a cup of coffee and a raspberry crumble!
Jake Klingman
Jake Klingman: I had a great time.I ordered a coffee and a rocky road.I also had brownie and sunflower swirl.I also had a raspberry bar.The food is great. The manager named Joey is very kind and the person behind the counter named Jake is so kind.
Aaron Bernardo
Aaron Bernardo: The restaurant is awesome and broad, the meals was delicious and the rates were very reasonable. fast, productive service and very personal waiters. I highly recommend this place.
Tammy Berman
Tammy Berman: Wonderful baked goods. Cute cafe. Overly friendly staff. Easy parking
Nayema jackson
Nayema jackson: No way to find the bakery and they had very little selection. Definitely not a real bakery just a shop that sells coffee.
Ellen Janeen
Ellen Janeen: Tasty pastries! Cute little shop with a nice vibe. Friendly and helpful staff.

A Baked Joint: what do users think?
pelumi olaleye
pelumi olaleye: First time visiting. Went around 9am on a Saturday morning. I’m a French toast enthusiast & I couldn’t wait to try their theirs. It’s the best French toast I’ve tried out of all the ones I’ve tried. Their velvet cake is delicious. The cafe is cozy with vibrant music. Great for kids as well. I will return.
Sahar Bayounis
Sahar Bayounis: This is a nice breakfast place. I really loved the vibe and design of the restaurant. And I liked how I could study there because the atmosphere was so chill. I just didn’t get why it was so expensive because I had an egg sandwich with cheese for $9 (no coffee or drink). I wanted to try the famous biscuits but they were baked with bacon and I couldn’t find a vegan option.
Fernanda Lanzagorta
Fernanda Lanzagorta: Delicious made from scratch biscuit breakfast sandwich. Their creations are original and tasty. The coffee is also good as well as the pastries. Order in advance or be patient to wait in line specially during the weekends. Plenty of seating options inside and outside.
Elias Chelala
Elias Chelala: The smoked salmon sandwich was absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and the venue had a good vibe. It cost around $12 and took about 15 minutes to prepare the order. The inside has lots of cozy seating and the patrons seemed friendly. This place is conveniently located near where I work and live and I will definitely be visiting again.
Greg Young
Greg Young: It came highly recommended and we definitely enjoyed it (though a couple of menu items—the quiche and French Toast—were not available). We went fully savory, though the sweet options were plentiful and looked delicious too.
Marina Figueroa
Marina Figueroa: Adorable coffee shop!!! Very hip, loved the decor and plants around the store. A bit expensive; I think it could go with a side for the price, but delicious nonetheless. Be ready to show proof of vaccination :)
Philip R.
Philip R.: Had a nice meal here after an event at the convention center. Lots of seating for dining indoors. Photos show the ham and gruyere quiche with salad and the chicken and rice soup. The soup was hearty and flavorful!
Erika
Erika: This place is spectacular! Amazing food, super fresh and came out quickly. We had the creme brulee french toast, a massive croissant and a HUGE cinnamon raisin roll. 10/10 would absolutely recommend!! We will definitely be back!!!

Patty Cake Daycare: what do users think?
Laurie Valcius
Laurie Valcius: I have known this provider for a while now. She takes very good care of the children in her care and is really loving and nurturing. She is always friendly and personable and the children really enjoy being around her. She takes the children on outings and field trips to enrich their learning experience and plans developmentally appropriate activities for them to do while at the center. She has a wealth of knowledge on child development and is very competent. This home center is safe and clean with a wide variety of toys for the children to play with. I would highly recommend Patty Cake daycare to anyone looking for childcare!
Kendra Morgan Scott
Kendra Morgan Scott: We appreciate the care that was given to our son during his time at Patty Cake Daycare. Ms. Cami worked with us during my transition back to work and assured that our son was in good hands. The facility is clean and my son appeared to be happy in her care. I recommend the provider to anyone looking for a safe and happy environment for their child!
Crystal Drakeford
Crystal Drakeford: The Patty Cake Daycare experience has been a great experience for my family. I was having a tough time searching for a provider that I trusted and felt comfortable with. They are now members of my village in helping me raise my daughter. My daughter has beem receiving care from Patty Cake since she was three months and now she is a walking and talking toddler who’s excited to show me all the activities she’s done and new skills she has learned during their care. The provider was very patient with me and helped ease my worries as a new mom. And trust me, I know I was a special case lol. Patty Cakes’ story time activities have helped strengthen my daughter’s attention into wanting to read more books and improve her vocabulary. I highly recommend this provider, such a relief knowing your child is in good hands.
Tiana Wynn
Tiana Wynn: OMG…Patty Cake’s Childcare was the first childrcare provider my daughter attended and the best place for my daughter. The child care services were nothing short of the best I have ever experienced. The environment was warm, structured, inviting, nurturing and educational. My daughter learned valuable skills that she now uses in school, daily progress updates were given. My daughter never got ill from other children while attending Patty Cake’s Childcare. I recommend Patty Cake to anyone looking for excellent childcare.
Tamika Bolton
Tamika Bolton: My son attended Patty Cake daycare for about a year and a half back in 2013. He attended their before and after care program and summer program. I never had any issues with him being dropped off and picked up from school. The staff was always polite to me and son.My son never wanted to leave their house. They were a huge blessing to my family and a lot of help. I would recommend their services to anyone.
Yonis Bonilla
Yonis Bonilla: I had my son under care from this facility for about 6 months. This by far has been the worst place my son has received care in. Ms. Camia made a comment to my wife telling her “Your son talking to other parents is ruining my business”. My son was objectified and was nothing more then a pay check to Ms.Camia. I never in my life would of thought that someone that is licensed by the state would make such a comment. I guess kids don’t matter to her all she cares about is a paycheck. This facility does not have separate rooms to separate the toddlers from the infants. So she would constantly call and complaint to us because our son was too loud when the infants were sleeping. What did she expect infants sleep all the time. She constantly threatened us with kicking him out of the facility. Horrible place period.

Pastries By Randolph: what do users think?
Belinda M Vallarino Cermola
Belinda M Vallarino Cermola: Great little pastry place to go and have coffee and morning buns and deliciousness all around. Very friendly servers and wonderful. We ordered cupcakes, and raspberry filled cookies and an elegantly wrapped elephant ear/palmier and also a morning bun to go! My hubby had coffee and they have a small fridge with refreshments and water. Everything is so neat and clean and definitely a wonderful bakery. Oh and on the outside they have a small patio with wrought iron tables and chairs for you to enjoy your desserts. If in Arlington, make sure you stop here. Oh and it’s Kosher certified under orthodox supervision all year.
Tahoma Lewis
Tahoma Lewis: If it were possible I would have bought one of each. Everything was appealing to the eye, and each pastry and dessert was created with craftsmanship. It took every ounce of willpower to not eat one of my purchases on the way home.
Marilyn Evans
Marilyn Evans: I love this place! My favorite go to for pastries. I have never been disappointed. The one ought I have with them is I bought a chocolate babka today and didn’t look at it. I got home and it had icing on it. Icing! I’ll probably give it away. But they still get 5 stars. Please people. Don’t ice the babkas! Update: I stand corrected! This was one of the best babkas I ever had. And the icing, though non-traditional, was perfect!
Corinne Auger
Corinne Auger: I got a red velvet cake for my boyfriend’s birthday party and it was so delicious! Highly recommend for your next party.
Vanesa Stafford
Vanesa Stafford: I rarely leave reviews unless I am truly impressed, or truly disappointed. I have to say, I am extremely impressed and wanted to share how pleasant my experience ordering my sister’s wedding cake was. Penina was an absolute delight to work with, very detailed and patient. She provided a variety of options to work with our budget and was flexible up to the last minute. The cake was a delicious success! It was spongy, not too sweet, light, and just everything we could have imagined. I was nervous because we had not had time to do a tasting, but I was absolutely not disappointed and the cake was amazing! Thank you for delivering top notch customer service and also a top quality cake! I have passed your information around already!
Response: Vanessa, I am so touched by your thoughtful words. You were an absolute pleasure to work with and I’m thrilled the cake was such a hit that it warranted a post. We can’t wait to see you for your new family’s next celebration!
Elli Flores
Elli Flores: They have the best pastries I ever tasted... the cheesecake was excellent and the cookies were melt- in- your- mouth delicious. Thank you for your outstanding service and delicious products. The quality is amazing and I highly recommend this bakery.
Porusp Marshall
Porusp Marshall: Got 2 birthday cakes from here. Both were excellent. Moist and light.

Bayou Bakery, Coffee Bar & Eatery: what do users think?
Robert Young
Robert Young: Stopped in on a weekend trip for brunch and this Bakery is great! It’s easy to get to from the hotel and way better food than what the hotel had! Should’ve had breakfast here twice! The fresh biscuits and rolls were delicious! We tried the quiche and also liked that. Was a bit disappointed a lot of things that were on the menu weren’t available though when we went. With no clear signage that basically if those items aren’t in the case then they don’t have them. It’s always a peeve when then the host gets rude as if I, guest, am supposed to know that and where they store what; after rushing me forward to order when then other things aren’t prepared for the menu that were also full kitchen items. My host was a bit rude while their coworkers serving other guests seemed nicer and less abrasive. But all in all a great spot and he did NOT ruin my experience! They have this pepper jam by the pick up counter that was absolutely delicious! The prices were great too and liked how I could build out my sandwich to my dietary restrictions. They’re spacious with a great ambiance too! I really liked seeing their light fixtures which were really unique! I’d definitely go back again and recommend you stop in if you’re in the area.
Response: Robert- wow, we appreciate the stars and your detailed experience. It really helps us use this in meetings and "line-ups". Being a small family run business (wife does pr), we appreciate the info and especially how you presented your feedback, so I want to honor that as well. We can do better then that, so again thank you. We hope you will be back and when you are in ask for me or at least our GM. Be well, Chef Guas
Alex
Alex: Out of this world biscuits. I should have gotten the pimento bacon egg biscuit because the cheese just melted everywhere and looked delicious but ended up getting the cheddar bacon egg biscuit because of my nightshade allergy. Also got the praline latte that was lip smacking good. Would definitely recommend this place for a delicious breakfast stop before moving on to your day’s fun activities
Response: Alex-Love to hear about your visit to our place. We have plenty of pimento for you next visit. See you again soon (we hope)-Chef Guas
Virginia Moore
Virginia Moore: Bayou is a wonderful restaurant in the DMV to have a comforting breakfast. The savory grits are so tasty. They have bacon, cheddar, and green onions. The beignets are unique treat for this area. Their coffee is also well executed.
Response: Virginia- Thank you for your feedback and starzzz. Not sure if you knew, but our white corn grits are milled out at Mtn Vernon Gristmill and we are VERY proud of the relationship we have with them. For all purist, you can get them "plain" which is simply with butter, a pinch of salt and nothing more or the version you are mentioning "Dressed" which is basically loaded with the 3 toppings you listed. See ya soon-Chef Guas
Richard Chow
Richard Chow: As I write this, my hunger was just satiated by a hearty and warming lunchtime meal. Although not pictured here, we got some flavorful gumbo that had all the right items to make it a great lunchtime stew and a roast beef po boy which had an amazing gravy that had me coming back for more and more bites. The food disappeared before i could remember to take some photos for the memories. However, I did manage to snap some quick pics of their Deviled eggs with their “pork n’ peño” addition which really put these deviled eggs on a whole other level. Also, if you’re in the area and you’re not getting their beignets, you’re 100% missing out. A great spot to chose for amazing food and chill interior (and exterior) vibes. Staff was friendly, helpful and instrumental in making this place a spot I’ll be returning to in the near future.
Response: Richard- Thank you for the stars and feedback. We really appreciate it. We all hope to see you again soon. Be well- Chef Guas
Harsha P.
Harsha P.: Bayou is delicious and bring not-often-found NOLA flavors to the DMV. Beignets and biscuits are the gems, seating can be limited with a few tables outdoors. Ordering is more like ticketing at the counter which can be chaotic, but there quick and well worth navigating. Popular spot with knowledgeable and accommodating staff are characteristic of Bayou Bakery during all seasons! ig: @harshaeats
Response: Harsha- Many thanks for the feedback/review/stars! We love hearing this. Chef Guas
Love to Smile
Love to Smile: We really enjoyed this place on our visit to the DC area. We had breakfast there two times at my son’s request. We had the biscuit both times. We also had the beignets and coffee. Everything was great and customer service was wonderful…very friendly staff.
Response: Thank you for stopp'n in x2, we love hearing that. See ya'll again soon, we hope. Chef Guas
Taylor Rafter
Taylor Rafter: Fun Café! King cake daiquiri was delicious! Mac and cheese was good, muffuleta and arm drip were good. Ice coffee was OK. Beignets were yummy! Nice spot but limited seating, order ahead.

Kiara C
Kiara C: Loved everything about this place. The ambiance, the large menu selection, the drinks…everything was just fabulous! The staff is very attentive to your needs and ensuring you have a good time. I can’t wait to go back! I ordered the Croque Monsieur and the Ladurée champagne cocktail. Can’t wait to try the other items.
Response: Hello Kiara, thank you for your review! We appreciate your feedback very much and hope to see you back soon!
Nova Au
Nova Au: It was Saturday and the place was busy, and looked like they’re short-staffed (not sure), but I think the staff members did their best to serve us. We didn’t have to wait so long for food, and they never gave us dirty look for taking tons of pics xD
Therese Sipes
Therese Sipes: The hot chocolate is 10 out of 10 stars! The Elysee, éclair, practically every other dessert was stellar, except the “cake” - it’s chocolate loaf bread and was dry and unimpressive. Eat loaf bread at Starbucks and stick to the all-star macarons here!
Devin Boe
Devin Boe: Exquisite (and expensive). I have only tried the pastries and confections here, but so far everything I have sampled has been phenomenal. Excellent service at the counter, and their take-away boxes are very cute and stylish. I now know why the Maison Laduree has such an outstanding reputation for their sweets and desserts! Truly world-class, but very pricey.
Fahad Aqeel
Fahad Aqeel: Delicious pastries and coffee. They service was a bit pushy and the wait to sit is always long.
Response: Hello Fahad, thank you for your review! We appreciate your feedback very much and hope to see you back soon!
Golden Eye
Golden Eye: Cute overload! Cost overload as well - but worth the visit! Nice little pastries, drinks and light lunch items.
