Patisserie Poupon: what do users think?

Vikram Seshadri: Came across this nice little bakery on the way to Dumbarton Oaks. They have amazing cakes, croissants and pies. The fruit cheesecake was the best one ever.

Dagmar: The customer service was great. They were friendly, kind and packed my cakes up with care. Cakes were delicious and not overly sweet. I went for two cakes and ended up leaving with four (my own choice) lol I bought extra to share. Coffee was good too a medium to light blend.

Sarah Millet: Had some time to kill and stopped here for some pastries and coffee ! Everything was super tasty and authentic ! The coffee was on point and to top it off, they have the cutest patio.

Sarah Diligenti: The go-to place for Fraisiers cakes and for their scrumptious Hazelnut Yule Log at Christmas. I also love their Americano, which I reserve as a guilty pleasure almost once a month on Sundays, together with their almond croissant. My only regret is that the back patio is too small and shady and sitting outside in the front on the curb kills the joy of sipping an excellent coffee: noise and exhaust fumes dampen the experience.

Mark P: Great little bakery that my family and fiance explored when in georgetown. We got coffee from the espresso bar in the back, which were delicious. We got a spinach / cheese savory pastry, a pain au chocolat, and this really cool raspberry mousse/cake thing. All of it was fantastic. Service was really nice and the line moved fast. Bathrooms in the back.

Dania Ramirez: We stopped here for lunch. The coffee was really good and the fruit tarts just delightful. We also ordered a quiche and sandwiches. Everyone was super happy with their orders. I would definitely come back! Highly recommend!

Un je ne sais Quoi...: what do users think?

arun varughese: Wow. One of the best bakeries I have been to at a medium price range. They have really nice pastries which are lite and NOT loaded with sugar like many of the other bakeries. Pear tart - My favorite item from the place. It had a lite pear flavor with soft and yummy crust. Croquettes- really good and a steal for the price. Pistachio- they have really good pistachio cream so try any of their pistachio based pastries if available. Hot chocolate- The hot chocolate was good but nothing unique. Optional try. I am not sure if it’s authentic French as I don’t have a reference. But their pastries felt really high quality and you won’t have a sugar rush after having them.

Iris Tan: I LOVE everything here! I was visiting DC and My friend brought me here as this is her fav place for French pastries! We ordered 4 kinds and I loved them all! Especially the cream … they are not too sweet and creamy … also I did a quick sketch here to capture some cute moments;)

Da-Wang Wu: One of the best bakeries in DMV! They only sell croissant and breads before 11am and start selling desserts after 11am. The chocolate tarts and lemon tarts are both very delicious. Eclair and millefeuille are not bad but slightly too sweet for me, but my partner likes it. The chocolate brioche-like small bread was my favorite. Highly recommend!

Piper Strzelecki: Tragically, I am allergic to gluten, so I often don’t expect much from pastry shops. However, the staff were very helpful and I was able to pick from 2 options. I had the raspberry financier and it was easily the BEST gluten free bakery item I have ever had!!! Thank you for this 😁

Ashleah Younker: My friends and I stopped by on a whim and were very pleased by our decision! I got an eclair that I ate directly after purchasing that was So Good! I also got a chocolate twist and a raisin roll to go to share with my partner for breakfast the following morning. Both were delicious, but I preferred the raisin roll slightly. One of my friends ordered a hot latte, and it smelled divine.

Patricia Alejandro: Excellent apple turnover, warmed up and buttery, crispy pastry. The marveilleux was also excellent, multilayered with chocolate mousse, crunchy meringue and chocolate shards. Best if its kind I’ve had yet.

Nino's Bakery: what do users think?

YooRi Kim: The BEST croissant EVER!!! As much I love croissant, I am very picky about texture and flavor. Tried mamy famous croissant bakeries in NYC, Boston, and other cities but this place is the top notch! Buttery but not soggy rather a bit crunch. And those layers… please try!!👍🏼 Staffs are very friendly too💗

Sophie Hækkerup: Best croissants I’ve ever tasted. Simply just great. We stayed in DC for 3 days and ate Nino’s croissants for breakfast every morning, since they were so addictive. The coffee is the only thing that was just “fine” - everything else is great.

Sahar Bayounis: This place has one of the BEST chocolate croissants I’ve ever tasted. It’s so flaky and immaculate. ✨🥐 Before I got in, I checked google maps reviews, and majority of them was about how delicious the chocolate croissant was. So I had to try it! I also got a small cappuccino with skimmed milk. My total was close to $9. I appreciated how clean and spacious the restroom was! Usually coffeeshop restrooms aren’t that clean. I just wish the place was a little bigger to accommodate more customers. Because I waited a bit for one customer to leave so that I can use their table and work on my computer. But all in all, great atmosphere. 👍🏼 Shout out to Blaine & Sarah for being awesome baristas! Thank you for welcoming me with a great smile in the morning! ♥️♥️

Tommy Sommer: I just had a bite of the chocolate croissant and it changed my life. My cappuccino was very good too. After weeks wanting to try this place, I finally stopped by and I’m having a perfectly pleasant experience. Updated with photo of a beautiful chocolate croissant. This place is so consistently good. I love it.

go potyr: Tried their Yuzu crossiant and Seasame crossiant, enjoyed every bite of them! Seasame Croissant was full of flavour except that it was a bit oily, after all it was a good place for 🥐 in DC.

Maya Patel: We had a delicious breakfast at Nino’s this morning ☕️ I love all the photos of the owner’s dog - Nino, in various parts of Italy that are hung on the walls and that the owner speaks Italian! Both the baristas at the cafe were really friendly and you could tell that it’s a beloved local spot! Their pain au chocolat is amazing – really buttery, flakey, light & delicious! Good coffee too, although next time I need to ask for a single shot cappuccino (it’s strong!) Thank you 💕

ays al: I love pistachios and I try every pistachio croissant I can find whichever city/country I visit. Never eaten a better pistachio croissant in my life. Simply the best for my taste. Flaky, light, tasty. Their espresso shots are good but I am yet to encounter a good latte/ cappuccino experience in the DC area. Steamed milk should look velvety even if you leave it untouched for several minutes. It should never form mini bubbles, not even one, if it is done correctly.

Firehook Bakery: what do users think?

Molly Cooper: I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! We both got an americano (one hot, one iced) with oat milk. It was only around $8 which for DC I was expecting way more. The people working were so nice! I also grabbed sugar to put in it but it didn’t need it at all! This is the best coffee I’ve had in ages! It made me so happy :) thanks guys!!

P. B.: Possibly the nicest coffee and goodies I have tasted in Washington.Excellent service, with friendly staff.Try the Almond Biscotti as treat for home.

Sonia Chlup: What a lovely bakery. Friendly staff, well priced pastries. Will be back before leaving Washington.

Mary P: Ordered two cakes here. Vanilla strawberry was very good 4/5 stars. The chocolate mouse cake- the mouse was delicious, but the cake was dry and had no flavor! Everyone agreed mouse was the only good part about that cake. Didn’t taste like chocolate at all 2/5. Easy ordering and pickup. They had no bag for two large cake boxes so bring your own. Also, one box had frosting on the bottom so we had to ask to be re-boxed so we wouldn’t get on our clothes. Would try again but not order the chocolate mouse cake.

Hanna Foreman: The coffee and pastries here are at great prices for the area. Highly recommend the lattes and cappuccinos here. The cookies are to die for and highly recommend the ginger cookies. Croissants here could be a little warmer, but the savory ones are generous with the cheese. The staff is always super friendly.

Manasi Kabadi: Love this bakery. They have so much variety. Their breads are really good too.

Michael C: The cakes aren’t very good. Mine was soggy and tasteless

Fresh Baguette: what do users think?

Anna Maroni: The best baguette I’ve had outside of France. I walk in the shop and the smells make me feel as if I’ve been transported back to a bakery in Europe. The pastries are amazing. With half of my family being French and Belgian, I have high expectations of bread and pastries! Fresh Baguette does not disappoint. I’ve also purchased some tea imported from France which is now one of my favorite teas. Love their variety of imported food products.

Vladimir Rodin: Great pastries and sandwiches, good variety of hard to find french beverages and syrups, westm and welcoming staff, amazingly fast fulfilling of online pickup orders.

yvette vandenberg: Wonderful customer service and great treats. Pistachio eclair, strawberry mousse tart, cro-gel sandwiches, and baguette sandwich were amazing. You can sit down outside and enjoy your goodies.

Silvia Lacy: I love this place their cakes and desserts are the Best!!! I’m always happy with their croissants and breakfast sandwiches :)

theniceone06: This has been my third visit to the Rockville location and my experience has always been pleasurable. The staff is very friendly (and many of them speak French, which only adds to the experience), the pastries and savory meals are awesome and fresh. But the coffee... EXCEPTIONAL! My only wish is that they have more macarons.

J Foodgeek: I tried sesame baguette cinnamon roll, and almond croissant. Nice store and products.

Alexander O'Neill: Unassuming French bakery with high quality and fresh selection of goodies. Staff are always super friendly and get our orders together quickly.

Cheryl Daniels: Ordered online, walked in, picked up order and was back out quickly. The pastries are wonderful, the baguettes fresh and flavorful. Quickly becoming one of my favorites spots in Alexandria.

Kira Yeary: Have loved everything so far!! 😍 have tried chocolate croissant, ham & cheese croissant, Nutella croissant, and the hazelnut eclair. My favorite has been the pesto breakfast croissant sandwich, it.is.amazing.

Pluma by Bluebird Bakery: what do users think?

Hannah Hunt: Excellent cardamom morning bun and overall experience. There is a good variety of pastries available to order. This was my first time but I definitely plan to come back. The inside was also beautiful, really nice atmosphere.

Chanpen Tee: The place looks so nice and clean. The staff is friendly. And chocolate croissants is good. I will tey their coffee next time.

Celestino Garcia: This coffee shop is dope. The coffee is a great and the pastries are A1. Breakfast sandwich is pretty good too.

Meg Voorhis: Upscale bakery and coffee spot in the greater union market corridor. Fresh savory vegetarian options and good bread, but a bit pricy (~$50 lunch for 4 items) and service from the made to order menu was slow.

Hannah Yoo: Best pastries in the city!! Seriously I always try to stop in for a bite then end up eating the entire pastry case. I especially love the croissants and morning buns, and they also have beautiful salads and yummy pizzas. Also love that it’s a small business owned by locals. Love spending all day here drinking coffee and catching up with friends on weekends. Neighborhood gem!

Alex: This breakfast sandwich is honestly one of the best in DC. Freshly made bun + tender, sweet, salty pork belly + perfectly cooked egg. Amazing.

Rise Bakery: what do users think?

Dumdi B.: I’m always on the hunt for good treats that are both gluten and dairy free. I was so happy to find Rise Bakery! My favorite was the vegan double chocolate cupcake and the vegan cookies and cream cupcake. Both went really well with unsweetened almond milk. Such a nice treat for date night. Thank you for the existence of this place!

Sadie Vogt: Absolutely delicious! In town for work so I had to stop here and try their gluten free options! Recommend to every gluten free person in DC who has a sweet tooth!!

Peregrine Sky: Cute, unfortunately no dine in at this time, progressive bakery. Lots of options for all kinds of dietary restrictions, soy, nut, dairy and all gluten free. 18th Street sandwich was amazing! These are certainly the best gluten free pastries I’ve ever had but they are still not delicious like normal pastries!

JT Mitchell: Both the Oreo cupcake and the apple fritter were pretty good. Both are also vegan. I’d say I like the fritter better. Had some good bite to it. The cupcake was tasty. Pretty solid.

Anna L: Very very happy with my experience at rise. Got the 18th street sandwich - delicious bread with arugula, herbed Mayo, bacon, and tomato. I also got a cherry turnover that was amazing. Yet to try the cheddar jalapeño loaf and the strawberry cheesecake but they look great. Can’t wait to come back another time.

Danielle Somers: Hands down best GF bakery in the DMV. All of their baked goods are incredible and their customer service is excellent. We had our wedding cake made there and everyone sung their praises. Worth the trip!

LP: Cute little gluten free shop with additional egg nut and soy free options. First gluten free spot I’ve tried that is moist and flavorful. Yum! I got the raspberry danish.

Le Caprice DC Café Bakery: what do users think?

Mark Blanchard: Not so french but not so bad. Pastries were hit or miss. Pain au chocolat was good, but flavored cookies were bland, no flavor at all. Chairs and tables were dirty with food crumbs everywhere. Staff was nice and friendly.

Jared Szuba: I have been a frequent customer at this bakery over the past two years. I can’t speak to the desserts, but I’ve had everything on the breakfast menu. Their breakfast sandwiches are sub-par, largely flavorless ingredients, no salt. Almost always a disappointment, but hey, there’s not really anything else around here when you want breakfast on the go. Firstly, the variety of baked goods is impressive. Their lunch sandwiches are hit or miss, I’ve tossed at least one in the can. That’s a problem, given how expensive the sandwiches are. The coffee is just fine, certainly not bad and does the job, but perhaps a bit overpriced for its quality. The croissants, however, hit it out of the park! They’re really as good as people say. Ultimately, I’m grateful to have this place in the neighborhood, disappointing as it can be. It’s a quiet place to work and has nice atmosphere. If the owners put a new effort in, this place could fulfill its high potential.

Anthony Stewart: Dirty—crumbs all over the chairs in the café, they took 20 minutes to bring out my order, the girl working the till looked as though she couldn’t be bothered... 😑 The “pain au chocolate” (simply chocolate croissant here) was actually decent, but the red velvet cake was a complete and utter catastrophe. It tasted old, and the frosting tasted of washing up liquid. It looked so promising, alas! it was just not meant to be. Had to toss it out after two small forks. Not worth a repeat. A “2” is being quite generous.

Tammie Smith: Not sure why the reviews are so high. Just ate part of a croissant that tasted more like a hardened bread. Likely a combination of being poorly baked then left out to congeal and dry out. Not worth the calories and money. I threw it away.

Bread Furst: what do users think?

Leslie Williston: this place is so cool! fun to be able to watch people make fresh bread. The pastries we fabulous. i would love to see a lemon scone. overall wonderful inside and out. cool market vibe inside too

Sedona Reilly: Stopped here on my way home from American University and it was hands down the best breakfast place I have been to in the city thus far. The store is so cute, there’s everything you could imagine in stock. The employees were so warm and welcoming, and the food was delicious. My mom and I left with 2 gourmet bagel sandwiches and a few pastries for the road. I will be making this a regular spot when I move to the city!

Sticks Forks & Others: Stopped by today for the first time - a 30+ minute drive. Well worth the trip. Very impressed overall. Main goal was to get some canele, which is very hard to come by, especially the good ones. Wasn’t disappointed. Picked up a bag full and a chocolate croissant. All very, very good. The canele was firm and crispy on the outside and moist on the inside - just the way it should be. The same goes for the chocolate croissant - perfectly done with the perfect amount of chocolate. There is so much to see at the store. From pasta to peanut butter, you could spend hours eye shopping. There is parking behind the back and few outdoor seats in front and back of the store. Definitely worth the trip and worth revisiting.

Y B: Do you like the taste of burned toast? This is what the crust tasted like as I discovered the condition of the bread in the paper bag. Additional worth noting that not posting prices is a basic form of economic discrimination.

Dondré: Bread furst is a different type of bakery. Not only do they have fresh bread but they also offer a plethora of local pastas, sauces, dried fruits plus more. The staff is friendly and the options are plenty. There are options for outdoor dining as well which is always nice when the weather is great.

dwayne gulley: Late review but it was a must. Breakfast here is amazing. Very busy but worth the wait as everybody in here is visibly working hard. Manager or owner was walking the floor and stocking and recommended the mixed jars to mix alcohol with. That was a solid recommendation and a hit with my holiday crew.

SakuSaku Flakerie: what do users think?

Kate S: My favorite place in DC for croissants—so flaky and yummy. They have so many innovative sweet and savory ones. The key lime cruffin is divine if you can get one. They seem to run out fast. I live a block away and have only been able to snag one once on my weekly visit. That is a croissant in the shape of a muffin with key lime inside and meringue on top. The almond croissant is also very good. I didn’t like the curry meat bun or cheesecake soufflé that much. Today I bought the strawberry tiramisu cruffin which was very good.

P Ak: The plain croissant needed more time in the oven. Chocolate croissant texture was good but the chocolate was on the sweet side. Almond croissant was the winner of the bunch. Update Valentine’s Day heart pastry was a rose lychee combo. A bit dense and pricy at $8. Pain au Chocolat was good but the plain croissant was OK. The kouign amann with yuzu was pretty good. Pistachio croissant needed a bit more pistachios. Update The mushroom Danish was good but it needed a bit more cooking. The ham and cheese Danish was ok. The Japanese cheese cake was good.

Roo G: Highly recommended! Contacted them via Instagram from the UK to arrange a birthday cake for my husband, as we were going to be staying locally. Reply was swift and they were friendly and helpful in giving me options and pricing, and were flexible when I asked to change something. The cake itself did not disappoint, an absolutely delicious chocolate raspberry layer cake. We also visited twice during our trip to indulge in their delicious pastries, and certainly plan to return on our next visit to DC. We sampled the chocolate almond croissant, lemon & blueberry cake and the banana caramel cruffin. Everything was fresh and delicious!

Audrey D: If you love flakey pastries, SakuSaku Flakerie will not disappoint. They offer light, sweet, and savory treats. The coffee was also great. I will definitely be coming back, since this is now my favorite place in DC to get pastries 🤤

Nguyen Le: Amazing hidden germs in the heart of Washington DC. The owner and their employees are super friendly and hospitality. You cannot go wrong with any croissant that they have available. It is super "flakerie" and crunchy, my personal favorite is Chocolate Almond Croissant pair with a Match Latte for a cold winter month or a Pistachio Croissant pair with SakaSaku Sparking Lemonade for a hot day in summer. Oh did i mentioned that they have the best Japanese Soufflé Cheesecake reminded me of the one i had in Japan. in Summary SakuSaku will make you want to return back. Thank you Saku Saku team for a wonderful brunch experience

Johnny Dubbaneh: Their savory and sweet pastries are amazing! Had the Truffle Mushroom, Ham & Cheese, Za’atar & Gruyère - all so delicious. Kouign Amman and almond croissants also so good

Firehook Bakery: what do users think?

Sahar Bayounis: A great local bakery in Alexandria! 🥐 One of the freshest croissants/pasties you’ll ever try! ♥️✨ Staff were really nice and welcoming. The place is a little small and there’s not many seats inside, but it’s very cozy. You can enjoy your cup of coffee while working and listening to some awesome tunes (they have good taste in music). 🎶 See pictures! 📷

H: Reasonably priced bakery with a wide selection of pastries, cookies, cakes, and assorted small packaged treats to go. $5 cake slices and $3+ for most individual items. They have outdoor seating but the view is of the gas station and traffic. Decently made treats for the price although on this day the indoor seating felt like it was heated for a very warm day.

Kira Yeary: Very impressed! Pricing was great. Got a ham & cheese croissant which was delicious. Cafe mocha which was rich/tasty and a chocolate croissant which was good but could’ve used a bit more chocolate. Overall would definitely go again, enjoyed very much.

Alfred Jones: Gorgeous bakery! Impressive selection. I got a zatar croissant, it was flakey and perfect. The daily quiche was delicious! Highly recommend.

Sarah Ali: Amazing local place with fresh pastries I ordered Zatar croissant, feta cheese with spinach, banana muffins and drip coffee All is delicious 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

N.E. Coviello (necworld): Great location with parking and outdoor tables. The treats at Firehook Bakery are delicious. When I lived in DC I loved to get an oversized gingersnap cookie & today I had one & it was exactly as I remembered it! Yummy!

Allen Juda: Small space with big flavors. Coffee, pastries, breads, and sandwiches are all delicious. Seating inside and outdoors. This is the kind of coffee shop every community wants. Small parking lot, but plenty of on street parking.

Hilda Kroll: My birthday surprise today was the delivery of two bags full of delicious pastries that just had to be shared with friends. All arrangements were made over the phone from Massachusetts, and everything was perfect. Great customer service and made-from-scratch pastries that melt in your mouth.

Cody B: Was not impressed with the coffee here and they had no milk substitutes. It is almost April and they still have their Christmas decorations up.... I can’t help to think if they are neglecting taking down some simple decorations they are probably neglecting cleaning certain parts of their kitchen

Tatte Bakery & Cafe: what do users think?

Jenna Wollman: It’s not often that a location has amazing service, food, and even seating but this place had it all. It’s a great environment for anyone and everyone. Everyone there was so kind. My latte was amazing as well as my Turkey Avacado sandwich! We had the best, most relaxing time here. 10/10.

Victor Immanuel: Food are good, Many choices for breakfast and brunch.Latte is just standard, is not my type of coffee (too acid).Overall good, surely I will visit again. 👍

Luisa Spizzotin: I love this place. The cappuccino is like in Italy!! The staff is kind but the speed is not the best. However it remains the best place to have breakfast!

Jay Graham: Adorable place with a stylish interior and patio seating. It felt very comfortable to sit inside and relax. The staff were pleasant. They have amazing looking bakery items, including gluten-free treats. I only tried one, but it was very good, and very reasonable prices for the level of goods. I also had their Tatte House Latte, and it was delicious. However, my partner had the chai latte and it was very weak, more milk than tea, and not much flavor at all. So maybe skip that, but definitely some great items to be had in this lovely cafe.

Munera A: The bakeries and pastries were actually Delicioussss.. but we also ordered the shakshoka it was 5/10! The Mozzarella sandwich was below average. In my opinion they should work more on their salty foods

Mona Rezvani: Come here and take your IG pics but don’t expect good food or coffee. The ambiance is good and the staff are helpful (some are just overwhelmed by the sheer volume of customers), but the food is a major pass from me. If Tatte is supposed to be a medley of Turkish/Arab/Moroccan/Mediterranean/Iranian/Israeli/generally SWANA-inspired cuisine, it misses the mark in a big way. Where’s the olive oil, cilantro, or feta cheese to accent the dishes? Why is the slata on my bread and not next to it? If zaatar is on the menu, why is it dry? Is shakshouka just a buzz word for “eggs served in things” because no North African home would ever serve you “corn and spinach” and call it a shakshouka. If you know, you know and sadly Tatte doesn’t.

Jennifer Schaffer: My favorite bakery and cafe in DC. The gluten free baked goods are the best in the city! For a meal, I recommend the lamb hash and the avocado salmon toast. One of the best spots for both doing work during the day and weekend brunch. The gluten free menu is delicious and varied. Their coffee and chai tea latte are both good.

Tatte Bakery & Cafe: what do users think?

Vince Granado: Walking around the area and we stumbled across this gem of a cafe/bakery. The savory scone and the breakfast sandwich was outstanding. The flat white coffee was also very lovely. Highly recommend this joint.

Kevin Chen: This place remind me of some old Europe bakery shop. I must say they are very familiar. The americano is so so, latte is good but a bit sweet I think too much sugar. You can also come here for brunch. It has both inside and outside seating, inside about 40+ tables outside about 20+ tables Street parking no free.

Val Z.: Great place, I always walk away with more than what I come in for. The food is mostly healthy but if you’re on a diet please avert your eyes from the counter with all those delicious croissants and other delights. Coffee is really good here also. I like the service, I didn’t ever feel rushed even when I ordered a lot of items to go. The servers come to your several times despite this not being a full restaurant. Everyone is always nice and I love the deco. All their locations have a similar concept which is very refreshing and I’m glad they are opening more spots.

Black Star Dust: Sunny and bright Ambience is delightful. The service is usually fast. Pastries and breakfast offerings are pretty good. Diverse food offerings. Everything from American, African, Arabic, French and other tasty options. They offer brunch all day. Only thing, the lattés could be a little richer; oatmeal options are quite watery. Maybe try another oatmilk brand?

citygirldc: This may be my new favorite place for a lunch delivery. Ordered the roasted mushroom spinach and potato bowl, chicken salad sandwich. They have really amazing bread. Also had a latte that was packaged perfectly and still hot. Everything was delicious 😋

TPMT Associates: Such a fantastic hip cool joint with lots of people, long lines but definitely worth the wait. This is what every brunch place in the world should model themselves after. Good energy, healthy choices and lots of selection. The food was so tasty and reasonable in price. Even if it’s self serve the service by the people there was still great. Will definitely come back again n again to try their delicious treats

Gregorys Coffee: what do users think?

Krystal Perez: Cute little coffee shop I found on my lunch break this evening , the baristas are so sweet and creative I felt at home here ... they allow inside seating and presented me with a fancy latte, with art included! Keep it up ladies, your the best !!!

Saray Fischer: Stopped by this afternoon for a quick pick me up, I was surprised that this cafe was open but it feels like home , great music, soft lighting, tons of plants, and the male barista served me at my table, I loved it. I felt special and will be returning when I need to get out of the office more often . I will be recommending this chain to my coworkers , family , and friends !

Monika Raj: The staff are among the nicest folks I’ve ever met and make visiting this place worth it. However, the store consistently has issues with their online ordering system…often times it’s down or underestimates how long it will take to be ready. This in no way is the fault of the staff and they do their best to work with what they have…but this is not reliant if you are hoping to grab coffee before a meeting

Elizabeth Hung: Loved my experience and drink here! The indoor decor is so hip and cute. The menu choices all sounded amazing but I went with the matcha latte with oat milk. It was perfectly matcha-y and unsweetened (my favorite). One of the best matcha drinks I have gotten in the dc area. My friend got the chai and he said it was great as well.

Sharon Angela Naidoo: This place ticks all the boxes, good service, GREAT COFFEE and wonderful atmosphere. I have visited this coffee place everyday I stayed here. The coffee always had a personal touch. The picture below is a cortado with skim milk.

Fred Kingman: My wife and I agree that this cafe has good drip coffee, and great customer service. There is indoor and outdoor seating, we chose outdoors. She had the breakfast burrito. I tried the skinny and it was wholesome. Definitely worth a second visit next time were in town.

Adam Rutkowski: There needs to be some customer service training. Business opens at 7am. I showed up at 7:03. It was raining outside. The door was unlocked. I entered and was told I had to leave because you weren’t open, yet. Instead of inviting me to sit in the foyer area in a chair, out of the rain, I was escorted out of the space and the door was locked behind me… in the rain.

Sunday Morning Bakehouse: what do users think?

Sharice M: A new favorite!! A very cute breakfast or quick treat spot. The menu has a nice range of options for food, baked goods and drinks. The decor is beautiful. The whole establishment breathes cozy to me. I enjoyed my meal, the staff was pleasant and provided great customer service. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, ham & Swiss croissant and a cinnamon sugar donut. I also tried the essence green tea. Everything was delicious and refreshing. I will definitely be back.

Sophia D: This is such a cute shop with pretty good pastries. Nice and flakey!!! They have fun and different dessert and sandwich options. We got an almond croissant that was delicious, a chocolate croissant that did not disappoint, and a creme brûlée Doughnut that had an AMAZING filling (and a good amount of it). The coffee options are a bit limited, but that’s not the main reason why you would go here anyway. The environment is calm and cute. Would recommend if you are nearby.

Chanpen Tee: I ordered decaf latte. It is good coffee. It tastes smooth and has a nice aroma. The store is clean. I like the atmosphere. Bakery is delicious as well

Jenna Wollman: A favorite coffee shop of mine. I wish it was located where I live! Friendly service, great pastries and coffee. My breakfast sandwich was so great, it had a cheesy spicy sauce that gave it a bit of a kick. It’s the kind of place that I wouldn’t mind working at! If I come back to Washington, you can find me here!

Peter Ferguson: This place is great. The baked good are amazing. They actually have my favorite Avocado toast of any place. The service is excellent. They are all very nice, warm, and welcoming. It is a great place to stop in if you need to work for a hour (they have WIFI), and also great to meet a friend over coffee. If you are in Pike and Rose, you should definitely stop by.

Sophie Nguyen: Pretty good quiche and an okay avocado toast. Donut is okay but great strawberry jelly! Great croissants!

Sarah Nguyen: Cute coffee and bakery near the Hilton Canopy hotel in north Bethesda area. I had the honey matcha and breakfast sandwich. Sandwich was freshly made and matcha was tasty. Love the ambiance and service.

Meg Gargulinski: Loved my experience here! I got a drip coffee and the latte and the chai latte were both delicious too. HIGHLY recommend the mushroom croissant as well! And donuts were great too. Good amount of indoor seating and easy to access from parking garages right around the corner (first 2 hours are free).

La Colombe Coffee Roasters: what do users think?

Joseph Mathias: Cute little coffee shop in Blagden Alley. I frequent La Colombe often, this was my first one in DC. Location is GREAT, with the wall art. On a warm summer day, you can take your coffee to go and explore the many arts in the alley. The only complaint I have is that the menu is very limited, and they have only pastries (I attribute this to the fact that there’s 2 other coffee shops in the alley, that’s probably why. But it would be nice to see them add bagels or other small bites to the menu). Something else as well (and mentioned by a few others) is that there’s No WiFi, so if you’re looking to get coffee and catch up on work, this is not the best place. Staff was nice!

Phil Armstrong: Popped in here for a cup and a pastry, and enjoyed both very much. The pastry was a delicious blueberry scone with a vanilla icing drizzle on top. The medium roast drip was excellent. I like its location in the neat little alley, too.

Joan Melendez: I love this space! I 💜this coffee company. I have my places in DC and NYC that I do frequent. I just am wishing and saying a little prayer... that La Colombe would look at National Harbor when they are needing their next spot!

Jorge Zurita-Coronado: Great location with friendly staff. Great selection of pastries as well. Inside seating is a little limited because of the pandemic. Great place to do some reading or get some work done.

Charles Michael: The place does get busy because it is amazing. The staff is friendly and the location has fantastic coffee. I was able to get a lot of work done. The place does get busy because it is amazing.coffee my favorite, tried their hot chocolate for the first time and love it. Quality drinks, quality wifi, quality space. All around wonderful My go-to coffee shop in DC 😊 The people are wonderful, the ambiance cozy, and the drinks are DELICIOUS! Their iced chai tea latte is my favorite, tried their hot chocolate for the first time and love it. Quality drinks, quality wifi, quality space. All around wonderful

Jenn Z: We just followed the crowed and it led us to this coffee place. It wasn’t disappointing at all! Very good coffee and bakeries. It resides in Blagden Valley which was interesting itself. It was an old shabby part of town now is under going transforming to a better place. The colorful murals lighten up the valley. Parking was easy ( from what I observed) just park on the brick road.

Compass Coffee: what do users think?

Natalia Suska: Best coffee at Georgetown and arguably all of DC! Came here so many time while studying at GU and they nailed the drinks every time. The baristas are super sweet and helpful too. The almond butter lattes are my favorite but everything tastes amazing.

Teresita Bañon Leal: Good place to sit and work on something or just to have a coffee with a friend.Perfect to grab a coffee. Generally you will have to do a line to grab a drink but the line goes fast.Good quality of coffee and nice staff.

Micaela O: Cool big coffee shop. Perfect place to come and get some work or reading done while enjoying some delicious coffee. Had the almond butter latte and it was insane! Quick and good service as well.

Hind KH: There is no doubt that their coffee is always good. I really love this branch, and for me it is the best one. It is somehow big and it has plenty of tables that makes it a perfect spot to have your work done.

Logan Deyo: Great coffee shop with nice baristas, plenty of places to work (outlets galore), and good coffee. Plus a little fireplace in the back!

Marc Neilson: This is my favorite Compass and the setting is ultra charming and cozy - complete with modern fire place. I have the BEST cafè au laits here with oatmilk. I just wish they were open later.

Jennifer: Good spot, clean bathrooms, and solid coffee. Iced coffee didn’t have too much ice at all, which is a pet peeve of mine. And they have a tap for water (still or sparkling) which is a nice bonus!

Zelin Li: Compass Coffee does a great job in terms of consistency and this shop is no exception. Lots of varieties, pour-over, cold brew, what have you. The staff are knowledgeable. The location can’t be better. The only downside is you may find a lot students sitting here for hours thus it isn’t easy to find a seat :P

Kogibow Bakery: what do users think?

Erringer Helbling: Incredible experience. Highly recommend if you want something local and delicious. He did a wonderful job making the most beautiful and deliciously light cake for my husband’s dinner party.

Daljit Kaur Grewal: Sooooo good. Ordered a tres leches cake with Bavarian cream for a 24th birthday. The cake was incredibly moist, light, and delicious, and so beautifully decorated with fruits. 8” was more than enough and very affordable at $25. I wish I could’ve left a tip. (Candles purchased separately)

Vincent Honn: Seen this Sign with a phone # on it in a Movie called" How Do You Know" while Reece Witherspoon was walking in front of it.... so had to Google the # ....lol!

Nata Portillo: Great Bakery , been buying cakes here for over 10 years now and still the same great taste and same great designs and everything, the owner and his worker are always on point amazing bakery.

nebur2k2: This Bakery makes awesome cakes. I have always bought my Kids Birthday for a straight ten years. You get for what you pay well worth it. You could currently place your order by phone, you pick up and pay at the front door.

Ethan Phung: Was a great place! I ordered a cake there was really quick to order, came by to get the cake a couple hours later and it was delicious, everyone ate a slice. Had to come back for more!

Tout De Sweet Pastry Shop: what do users think?

Eileen Coxe: Super cute pastry shop. Everything looks amazing. Coffee is good and so are the pastries. Would recommend going here to get some small bites and coffee.

Rachael Houston-Carter: I ordered macarons for my baby shower hostesses as gifts and not only were they delicious but they came wrapped beautifully with the perfect color ribbon as well! Highly recommend!

Cintia Cantuária: Very friendly staff, although small quantity. Would give 5 stars if food (quiche, deserts, and cappuccino) were more flavorful and quiches were served warmer. Almond croissant is really good though!

Jennifer Lang: Delightful. I have been in Bethesda in a hotel for a long period for work. Breakfast has been a challenge. No more. Stopped here for desserts for colleagues a couple weeks ago. Came back for breakfast. Bit pricy but great coffee, perfect fruit and and an amazing pastry in a zen little spot w cheerful counter service.

Kailee Sebastian-Mixx: Quality, skilled baking here. We mostly order custom cakes and special orders from them -- the quality is excellent and pastries and cakes both delicious and attractive. If we were to choose one, the pastries would be on the better side. That said, we think the custom orders are better than the mass produced regular menu items.

Zain Ibrahim: Consistently awesome service! Everything here is super tasty, definitely a must try if you are in Bethesda

Armen Danielyan: Ordered large cappuccino with whole milk. Neither was it large nor did it taste like whole milk or espresso.

Wendy Molina: Hands down the best pastry shop in all Bethesda at this time. Dec 2021Try the almond croissant, Eclair and opera pastry.
