Cozymeal Cooking Classes: what do users think?

Valerie Damond: Last night twelve members of my family experienced a truly remarkable Spanish dinner. Chef Greg presented us with a very relaxing and utterly delicious meal. Every course was beautifully displayed and clearly constructed with the best ingredients. He and his helper served us and left the kitchen immaculate. If you would like to experience an expertly crafted Spanish cuisine, I highly recommend Chef Greg.

D H: I had my Cozymeal event today. I have never participated in an online cooking class before, and I must say it was great! My daughter and I took the class making the Chinese dumplings with Chef Li. Chef Li was great and while making the recipes really gave good information on the Chinese culture and the different types of substitutions to use in the event you are not able to get a specific ingredient. She made suggestions regarding kitchen utensils and made sure that all of us were on track with her during her instruction. My only difficulty was with the recipes being in grams and not in US measurements. It would be nice to have both listed. I live in a very rural area and this option of online cooking classes is such a welcome experience. I would definitely take another class!!

Benjamin Bowden: Really enjoyed having Chef Tiffany cook for my girlfriend and me. Great food, great conversation, and a generally excellent evening. One note: she arrived 45 minutes prior to the scheduled arrival time, when nobody was home. Her early arrival was a positive, as the meal took a few hours to prepare, but Cozymeal should communicate better with the clients about true arrival time. Bottom line: Tiffany provided an excellent French meal, all cooked from scratch, with fresh ingredients. Moreover, there were leftovers! Really looking forward to my next Cozymeal experience.

Alison Ponzi: We had an evening full of freshly made pasta, bruschetta, and bread pudding with Chef Tiffany. I bought a KitchenAid mixer last year with the pasta attachment, and she was open to teaching me how to use it. She also worked with us on our likes/dislikes allowing us to choose a different appetizer. All in all it was a successful night with great food, company, and conversation.

Steven Sacks: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueMy girlfriend and I took the Festival of Indian Flavor with Chef Manjiri. It was such a wonderful experience - she clearly explained the agenda for the class, told us about herself, explained all the ingredients, and then helped us through all four recipes with both laughter and fun. What a great time!

Theano Kampani: Really enjoyed having Chef Greg cook for my husband and me. Great food, and great conversation! We highly recommend Chef Greg and his Spanish dishes. The star of the menu was the dessert for us :)

Kathleen Norwood: This was a wonderful experience. Chef Gustavo was a delightful host and instructor He shared knife and preparation tips as well as the history of the food. The food was muy rico and we came away with many tips to make prep easier and food tastier for making a yummy paella as well as other dishes. Chef Gustavo created a welcoming, warm and relaxed evening. Thank you, Chef Gutavo!

Niki Holmes: We had an amazing experience with Chef Judith. Her recipes were easy; we had great company; and the Chef taught us some very useful techniques. --Plus--The food tasted so delicious!

CulinAerie: what do users think?

Ryan McGorty: Culinaerie is one of, if not, the most well-known recreational cooking school in the area. They offer a lot of different cooking instruction to aspiring cooking enthusiasts of all different skill levels. They have an online calendar that shows which classes are available and when. The classes book fast, so be ready to book if you see one you like. You can take individual classes on a class-by-class interest basis, or participate in a series of classes designed to improve your skills through a structured course. If you want to take a knife skills class, learn how to make Thai food, or even make tapas, they have a wide offering of options. The actual location consists of two instruction kitchens, with one being significantly larger than the other. The instructor leads the class through the cooking demonstration and there are overhead TVs and assistants in the room to help in case you need it. The instructor usually walks around while you are cooking/preparing food to give you tips. I went here for a date night cooking class and we had a very good experience. We learned a new recipe which we’ve cooked on our own at home. It is pretty expensive, but it made for a great experience.

Michael Alexander: We came here for my fiancé’s employer’s Christmas party. It was a fantastic! I love to cook and pursue it as a serious hobby. The instructor was great. She was patient with those who did not know techniques and gave pointers to those of us with working culinary knowledge. I will be planning a family function here in future.

M. Marzulla: We did the "Date Night: Craft Cocktails & Small Plates from Mexico City" with Eliza Gonzalez and it was fantastic! The instructions were easy to follow and the dishes were delicious! It was fun learning how to make the cocktails as well, and both instructors were super friendly and helpful! I definitely recommend signing up for one of the date night courses, it turned out to be one of the best dates we have had in a while!

Brittany Gerig Campbell: We had a fantastic experience at the couples cooking and wine pairing class. High quality food, helpful assistants, and an instructor who was a former chef and really knew her stuff. Wine was free-flowing and we never felt rushed. Would definitely come back!

Amanda Burkholder: We took a bread making class at CulinAerie and had a blast! The teacher was knowledgeable and clear. We made four different kinds of bread and got to take it home. The class took about three hours, which included instruction, mixing, kneading, and baking the bread. They served complimentary wine, coffee and tea during the class which was a great touch. We will definitely take a class from CulinAerie again!

Vanessa: Took a french macaron class over the weekend. It was actually a really fun experience! The macarons came out so much better than I anticipated! I thought for sure we would bomb the recipe. What makes this experience fun is sitting at the same table with fun friendly people :) The chef was good, though a bit curt. The staff that was helping was really nice. I would definitely come back to do this again. Great date night idea, or something fun to do with friends.

Cookology Culinary School: what do users think?

Deserae P.: It was a pleasant experience. I did a dinner adult class. The entree item was shrimp risotto. I personally do not cook that much and the chef instructor made me feel great! He explained the only difference of us the professional and they cook over and over. He explained how properly cut and how to add your personal touch. I really felt confident after class. For adults you could get some nice rose. It all was very nice. I would so come again.

Jada M: Service was horrible, the instructor teaching us had limited communication and was not paying attention to us. We had to make the macaroons by our selves. They were helping everyone one else but us ours didn’t come out good because they didn’t help us. She said our macaroons were perfect and took them out early causing them to mess up. The instructor was rude and short, seems like she did not want to be there we had limited amount of hands on instruction if you want hands on instruction this is not the class for you. They show once and get irritated when questions are asked. If you are a beginner this this institution is not good for you.

Stephanie Safro: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueFun way to share an evening. Learned a few things. Made my meal and got to eat while we cooked and took the rest home. Chef Renee was a lot of fun. Food was good. Location was easy to get to with Orange line Metro. We were able to remain socially distanced for others who took same class. Would go there again.

Buttercream Bakeshop: what do users think?

Megan Barnes: The cake of my dreams was created by Tiffany at Buttercream. When we did our tasting I was blown away at how I would be able to choose as every flavor was better than the last. She did an incredible job pulling our English garden vibe together for a beautiful cake on our wedding day.

Chels Owens: Looooooooove their cake and cupcakes! These people are top notch and make high quality baked goods, you will not be disappointed. I got a gorgeous unicorn cake from them that was a huge hit with my friends and I got myself a cotton candy cupcake that was the absolute best.

nitubw: This is my go to bakery for special ordering celebration cakes! Buttercream makes it easy to order online and provide ideas for specialty cakes. My older daughter loved her Wonder Woman cake! It was honestly looked almost too good to eat. Almost. She had her favorite flavor, S’mores. They made my younger daughter’s Moana dream come true with her birthday cake which also incorporated her favorite flavor: Vanilla cake with lemon curd and strawberry buttercream (despite it not being on their menu at that time). The cake was the right amount of sweet and the buttercream was fantastic. My husband had also purchased one of their peek-a-boo cakes (Elderflower soaked lemon cake with blackberry jam and vanilla buttercream) for my birthday. Let’s just say this family of four devoured it!

Kay Chevalier: I was in DC for the weekend and my Airbnb was close to the bakery; I’m too embarrassed to admit the number of times I stopped in to get another treat. Everything I tried was amazing! Like AMAZING!!! Their savory breakfast roll was super. The one I had was filled with egg, cheese, & sausage. The Queen Bee was flakey and soft and buttery and sugary, a perfect balance. Oh my, I want one just thinking about it. Ps.- their unicorn hot chocolate is adorable!

Mackenzie Jandernoa: Super cute and friendly spot! The Reese peanut butter cup cookie bar was absolutely phenomenal and worth every bite. I enjoyed the chocolate chip cookie and the half brownie/half cookie bar as well, however, the funfetti cupcake was a huge miss for me; this certainly could be due to personal preference. It just didn’t have much flavor. More specifically, the frosting was super bland. Overall, it’s still worth stopping in and checking out the variety of treats they have to offer!

Kate Morton: Buttercream was good, the gluten free snickers brownie was tasty but I did hope there would be more gluten free options. My date said the triple chocolate cupcake was good though the icing could’ve been more flavorful.

Fran's Cake & Candy Supplies: what do users think?

Clare Bolton: Frans has EVERYTHING you could possible need. Including cake decorating, cupcakes, cookies, molds. The employees walked up to me and asked if I needed help politely. Very amazing and was like a bakers heaven. Excited to come back!!

X: I have zero decorating experience but thought it would be fun to try. Chef Dawn taught this layer cake class on buttercream, fresh floral and gold drip. I’d never done piping or icing before but she was encouraging and I left with a pretty good final product. There was 8 in my class, 2 people per table. They provide all the supplies (cake, icing, spatulas, flowers, buttercream, gold, edging tools, etc), you create the product and take it home. Way more advanced classes if that is what you are looking for. They do seem to book out fast, so click all the way on the Event Bright info to make sure they aren’t sold out of the class you want. You get a discount on store products the day of your class. The two store employees (or owner/s?) were helpful and complimentary to us in the class.

Rochelle Whittall: I buy most of my supplies for cakes from here. I bought some stuff recently and they gave me a wrong product by mistake. I emailed the store to ask for a solution because it was urgent. It was about 1 hour drive so didn’t have a way of going back but a lady named Debbi immediately responded and said she will bring it to me the following day. She delivered it as promised. The store and the staff is great. I highly recommend buying products from here

surabhi jain: One of the best stores in NoVa for cake supplies. What makes it stand out is the service. Shoutout to Nick who guided us very well. Very nice experience overall

Ruth Vallejos: This store is amazing for all you need for baking, they got it, very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely going back every month. Love it.

Felecia Moore: Nice, well supplied shop! Friendly staff!

Corrie M: I love Frans! So glad to have a bake supply shop in the area. Always well stocked and there is always someone willing to help you find something. Plus, they have a rewards program so you get even more when you buy from them!

Sur La Table: what do users think?

Fonsetta Badger Brown: The cooking class was loads of fun. Pressure cooked short ribs, mushr!ooms risotto and cheesecake with caramel sauce.. The instructor was awesome!

Tatiana Padilla: Finally got to do a class in person after joining several virtual ones, we LOVED the experience! It was my Christmas gift to my mom and best friend, it was fun— delicious— and they couldn’t wait to try the recipes at home. Lots of hands on practice, PLENTY of food, and the chef+assistant we’re very engaged and kind. Excited to be back in two weeks for Italian steak night 😋 A few ways the class could be improved: —I ’ve grown up in the US since I was 5yoa, and even I had a bit of hard time understanding the prof. He spoke a tad bit fast/muffled. — offer BYOdrinks, we were sad to be drinking water with such a nice meal. — groups of 2-3 max per station so everyone has a chance to help with the prep. Our group of 3 had 2 stations and we felt that was PERFECT! Wouldn’t want to be 4 people to one station.

Rasha Sharif: Zero for customer service! The lady named Donna was terrible! She did not ask me for my email to add the amount I purchased toward my perks program. She was cold and did not hide her racism from the beginning! I love Sur la table but this was annoying. I want my perks added!! Edit: I love sure la table and I shop online ! This was my first time to stop at the store next door and I was disappointed :(

Alexis McCoy: I loved the cooking class (steak frites, 01May22) the instructor was very knowledgeable and provided tips for other meals with similar ingredients. Would love to do it again.

L. Charisse Davis: I was looking for some upscale corn holders. They did not have any like that. I started looking around at other things, like cloth napkins. They had some nice ones. But others appeared a bit shopworn (dirty) and were not marked down. I had a hard time swallowing the prices of the "new" ones, much less the shopworn ones that were the same prices. I guess made of linen in India costs more than made in China. 🤭 It is a beautiful store, both inside and out (loved the beautiful potted plants outside), and it does have some nice things--baking pans, appliances, kitchen tools, etc.--just not what I was looking for. Oh, and the staff was very pleasant and tried to be helpful.

Cynthia Davis: My friend and I came here for the pasta cooking class with Chef Scott. It was absolutely incredible we couldn’t stop talking about it all the way home. The instructor was incredibly knowledgeable and fun and all the food was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our girls night out and we will definitely be back for more classes!

Kyle D: The staff is friendly, helpful, but will let you shop if you want to alone. You can get really high end knives and cookware ($1600+) here!

Jay Empty: So much fun learning to make sushi tonight with Chef Cacchiitti and my table partner Adele.

Imagine Cake Studio: what do users think?

Rick Garcia: They came through last minute with an amazing cake! A company canceled on me Thursday night for a Sunday event. I emailed Imagine Studio and they came through. They are very friendly and great customer service. Their cakes were super moist and beautifully done! Love this place. They also support the military!

Brandi H: We’ve ordered several cakes from them at this point. One time we actually were given the wrong cake but it worked out fine in the end. Since then we have always paid the extra $25 to have the cake delivered instead of picking it up. The cakes always taste amazing and always look good. I can trust that the pic I send of the cake I want is what I will get. The only thing I will say is that my last cake was delivered in a box that smelled like smoke, so I had to immediately take it out of the box and throw the box away. It did not affect the cake’s taste thankfully.

Mariama Y.K. Smart: I ordered a CocoMelon cake 3 days before a godsons birthday party and they did not disappoint. The cake not only looked good, it tasted awesome!!! I will definitely be using their services again!!!

Tiffany Balmer: they should change their name to cupcakes and customer service. The drop off of the cup cakes was top tier. I learned how to properly unbox cupcakes!!! thanks for taking the time to bake and teach. They were so cute and yummy. Thanks!!!

whitney hurley: Made a beautiful cake that tasted amazing! The cake was bigger than I was expecting, but that’s not a bad problem to have. The design was exactly as requested.

Maria Zenquis: I ordered the 15 cupcakes and was delivered on sept 24. The cupcakes didn’t taste fresh and also I thought that all 15 cupcakes were going to fit in one box. Would I have known that I would’ve just order 12 . It was awkward to see two boxes and one box had only 3 in them . I’m addition you guys should really work on your packaging . It’s looks generic . I may have well just bought cupcakes from store rather than ordered them . Thank you . But I will not order again and will give your company a bad review

Blain: They deliver the cake 2 and half hours late after we finished the birthday celebration. On top of that, we ordered vanilla flavor, but we received chocolate. Very disappointing.

Together We Cook: what do users think?

Cristina Padrao: My daughter had classes with Mari in the past and loved it. We didn’t attend many more classes because Mari’s cooking studio is far from where we live. With the pandemic, I had the idea to ask Mari to do a virtual birthday party cooking class to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and it was a total success. Everybody loved and had a great time (kids and adults!). the recipes she taught us how to make were all super delicious! Thank you Mari for making Gabi’s party so special.

Amanda Willhite: We love Ms. Mari!!! She is amazing with children. We’ve done two cooking classes with her and this last one, all three of my girls were able to do it and had a blast. We plan to do many more. In fact, tonight they made the meal they learned for my husband and me. It was delicious! I love how she teaches them how to create healthy delicious food that otherwise my girls wouldn’t touch. One of my daughters is autistic and Mari is extremely patient and understanding with her. I can’t speak enough wonderful things about her and her classes. Let your kids give it a try and you can benefit when they cook at home for you!

Jennifer Hole: Our Brownie troop had a wonderful experience at Together We Cook. Multiple times throughout the class different girls remarked how much fun they were having. Every single girl tasted at least one new kind of food and many of them were shocked and amazed to learn how delicious egg salad can be! Mari organized a class for eleven 8-year-old girls, at the end of a school day. The girls were full of energy (as always!) and Mari was patient, kept the class moving forward beautifully, and kept everyone engaged. We worked towards the "Healthy Snacks" badge and the girls and their parents were all very pleased with the experience. My two children (I also have a 6-yr-old son) have both thoroughly enjoyed classes at Together We Cook. They have grown in confidence in the kitchen and feel very proud of the skills they have learned with Mari. They have tried new foods during each class and my daughter, after learning to make Apple Galettes in class, recreated them for our extended family last Thanksgiving. The classes are small, Mari has a beautiful calm presence with kids, and her love for teaching about healthy, delicious food is apparent. I highly, highly recommend her classes!!!

Kyra J: We had our 5th grade junior Girl Scout troop earn their cooking badge today. Mari was great. The girls were engaged. They Used math to plan nutritionally balanced meals. Most of all they had fun.Would highly recommend Mari’s cooking class.

stephanie birdwell: We loved Ms. Mari’s class. Our kids attended both in person and online (she manages the online format very well) she’s great with the kids, keeps everyone focused, on task and incorporates science and very practical skills into each session. Our entire family really enjoyed the delicious croque madames along with the yummy salad. A simple, but impressive meal.

J Vyas: Awesome cooking classes for kids. We did one cake baking and decorating class and one pasta-making birthday party. The owner, Mari, is extremely patient with kids. She explains larger cooking concepts (e.g. what to do if you put too much salt or liquid into a recipes). Close to the beltway location with plenty of parking makes getting to classes easy. Highly recommend!

Baked by Yael: what do users think?

Suradee Thongkiattikul: Great place to stop by after the zoo to grab a quick bite. The bagel sandwiches are around $6 and baked goods are around $4 each. Overall a decent place with vegan and gluten-free options. Nut-free and kosher if that’s also a concern for you. They had cute zoo-themed cake pops here and if you want a cute panda pop then this is the place for you. I tried their southwestern sandwich on an everything bagel and it was tasty and big enough that you’re full but not overly stuffed. I also tried their cookie bar and it was okay, though I wish I would’ve gone with their raspberry bar instead (maybe next time).

Marie Brown: Beautiful cake pops. I wanted to get a holiday gift for my mom (who already has everything) and support local business at the same time. Online order and curbside pickup were very easy.

Rowan Cloud: I love this place! They have a great variety of options, including gluten and allergen free foods. The staff is very nice and incredibly helpful, and I always feel welcomed coming in here. The decor gifted to them from the zoo across the street are an added bonus- so cute!

Pete Freeman: Typically coming to a bakery at the end of the day is a mistake, and while I missed the morning brownies there were plenty of cake pops and they were excellent! I also want to counter some of the reviews of staff behavior; the woman who helped me was friendly and quick. I’m impressed!

Toby Barg: Can’t speak for the in person experience, but we ordered breakfast and snacks to our hotel for our group and it was nicely presented, delicious, on time. Warm bagels snd cream cheese and other options. Highly recommend the Duffins (donuts crossed with muffins) which were fresh, soft and very delicious (maple glazed and chocolate glazed were our favorites).

She was responsive and professional in all interactions and I plan to order with her again for my birthday this year! ❤️ I also have ordered an assorted treat box from her this past Valentine’s Day it was very unique and a creative assortment of different treats. Definitely recommend ordering with her.

Shahla Abbasi: You know how they say no one eats the cake at weddings? WHEN LALA makes the cake at your wedding everyone will eat the cake! We were so happy with the cake at our wedding. Lala did an amazing job designing the cake and delivering. She used amazing fresh flowers to decorate the cake. We picked out the cinnamon cookie butter flavor and we could not have been more pleased with the cake. To this day everyone tells me how amazing the cake tasted at my wedding. THANK YOU LALA

Surraya Abbasi: There are no words to describe Lala’s talent- she is my family and I’s go to person for Cakes. I drive over an hour away for her cakes for family events. The detail, talent, taste, and HER overall- nothing compares. I can’t wait to keep getting CAKED BY LALA 💗💗💗 the best there is! Her professionalism, class, and customer service are also unmatched. I could just go on. GET YOUR CAKE FROM LALA! 💗💗

Shekeba Morrad: Most beautiful cakes I’ve seen! We order from Lala for bdays, bridal showers, and everything in between because they are works of art!

James & Maria Hilaris: Lala is our family baker now! We go to her for EVERY CAKE❤️ A cake by Lala is not just a cake, it’s an experience. It’s a lifestyle 💁🏽‍♀️

Kelley Villamor: Found Lala on Instagram and knew instantly I needed to have my daughter’s birthday cake made by her. I ordered a vanilla cake with Oreo filling, as well as a few dozen cakesicles in red velvet, funfetti and cookie butter. All were delicious, but my favorite was definitely the cookie butter! I sent her an inspiration photo for the cake, but ultimately gave her creative freedom to do whatever she wanted. The cake came out so fun! The theme was Trolls and I love that the cake colors matched the party decor perfectly. Will be ordering from Lala whenever I am in need of a show stopping cake!

University of the District of Columbia Community College (UDC-CC): what do users think?

Henok D: The most terrible school I have ever been to. Both the main campus and the Community college are the same. A lot of slow, unprofessional, and rude staff who keep yelling at students when they are not even doing their jobs properly. I submitted a certain paper to the Financial Aid office and they told me they lost the paper after weeks that I had to pay about $1700 out of pocket. During the 2020 Pandemic, I tried to contact them as I was having difficulty to waive the Student Insurance that is provided through the school because I already had an insurance coverage; no one answered my call until it was due. And now Miss Gaskon told me that I have to pay about $1300 for the coverage I never needed. Mis Gascon was there in 2018/19 when I had the same issue; she helped me waive it then. I could not go to her office in 2020 be a of Covid restrictions. I tried to solve the issue communicating with them but nothing got better yet. I would not recommend anyone to go the UDC unless one needs a headache. I cannot deny that there are some great Professors such as Prof. Sonnie Abebaku. However, individuals are very helpful to us, it’s overall experience at the university that makes a difference in our academic lives. So far, my overall experience is just TERRIBLE!

Yesly Turcios: GLEN DOMINA rudest person ever if you are working under a facility and a Student is inquiring on information/assistance you should be able to provide that at your upmost ability but unfortunately that was not the case here..

Danny Hirschfield: I graduated UDC-CC with an AA degree in Liberal Studies Fall Class of 2015 Alumnus. This college really helped me develop my learning skills as I am an older non-traditional student that started as a freshman with very little prior knowledge and discipline in academia. I have transitioned to the UDC flagship campus pursuing my BA degree in Political Science as a pre-law student. This university is the most affordable place to get a good quality education being the only public higher learning institution in Washington, D.C.

Jamilya Allen: Okay So I applied about 3weeks to a month ago and I’ve yet to receive any papers informing me if I was missing any documents or etc. I’ve called at least 5 times a day for about two weeks straight leaving voicemail after voicemail and no one has yet to return my call not only did I call multiple times I have also emailed them multiple and no response. It’s ridiculous what’s the point of having an admissions office if they not even going to pick up the phone, guide you in the process of being admitted or anything else like you guys get paid to do nothing it’s sad.

h T: This University has only good professors! But getting a Bachelor from the UDC will not get you a job!! Their jobs faire is just to get a website from the companies and brochures lol!

Jordan Stewart: The financial aid lady with gray hair and dreads is disrespectful af. Most of the staff here are disorganized and rude. I disenrolled 2 months ago. When I went to disenroll the lady was eating crab legs in front of me. Come to find out she never really disenrolled me, and I had to go back up there today. Smh. I really wanted this to work bc I’m a Dc Resident but I’m enrolling at PGCC.

Milk Bar Logan Circle Flagship: what do users think?

India Lindsay: A classic, must-try dessert shop. Cereal milk soft serve is yummy and refreshing. The milk bar “crack” pie is great - we found it tasted better after taking it home and letting it sit in the fridge for a bit. The staff were friendly and offered generous samples. Gotta watch the Chefs table documentary on the founder before going - she has an inspiring story and helps you appreciate the dessert so much more (not that you need much help)

Maya Imani: Honestly, quite disappointing. Not with the staff or this particular store but with Milk Bar in general. How do you mess up soft serve? I was expecting “cereal milk” ice cream to be sweet, but it tastes like the milk from corn flakes (yuck). Not sure about any other menu item but if the ice cream isn’t good, can anything else be?

Jeff White: I tried this spot since my usual spot on 13th is now closed. The ice cream did not disappoint. They were out of corn flakes toppings so I went with cinnamon toast toppings. I loved it but not as good as corn flakes. Also surprised they had a parking lot.

Jamey Sadownick: Eek. I love red velvet cheesecake and had been seeing ads on social media for Milk Bar’s version. It tastes good, but nothing extraordinary. The very average-sized slice you see here is $10. Really not worth it. Cheesecake Factory’s version is less expensive and considerably more decadent and delicious. This left me feeling meh.

keith singleton: Ordered from uber eats. And omg gluten free options finally! Got the marshmallow cookie and bday cake both gluten free specifically. The cookie is freaking amazing I regret not getting the 3 pack. I havent tried the gluten free cake yet. Am grateful to have another gluten free dessert option cuz not many places offer this for those of us with celiac disease.

Merissa Pemberton: Lavondae D was wonderful! The red velvet cake was definitely worth trying. The milk bar pie was most definitely not worth trying. Disappointed in the cost compared to how thin and small the slice was.

Love EJ: Unique flavor of soft serve items and cake.Strawberry shortcake is really good.

Hanna Foreman: Was a big fan of the owner before coming here and thought the concept was a good idea. Came here over the summer for some ice cream on a hot, swampy DC day. Many of the desserts were sitting on the counter prepackaged and wrapped in plastic. Ordered a cereal soft serve in a cone with no extras that came out to $6. Way too expensive for something basic without a lot of flavor or toppings. Staff was not too friendly and probably will not return.

Josh Dailey: The cookies and the cake are unbelievable. I know sometimes they can be a little dry, but for the most part my experiences have been super positive. Cake price is pretty standard for a good cake, which in general is just expensive. I’d definitely go if you’re in the area, get the compost cookie! I’ve tried them all, as you can see in my pictures, and my top 3 are compost cookie, confetti cookie, and blueberry & cream cookie. Don’t miss out!

C Ark: Stopped by before they closed. They were very friendly and helpful. Prices are a bit ridiculous for a slice of cake and pie ($17 total) but at least the cake was a decent size (pie slice was tiny). Both the cake and pie were delicious.
