The price was excellent, the service was excellent and the breakfast was the best I’ve come across included in the room cost. I will most definitely return! Book with confidence! I want to thank Avvy in the breakfast room for keeping everything super super clean, stocked and fresh. I forge the gentleman at the front desks name but he was awesome too. Purple Cotton: Lovely hotel- perfect location! Front Desk Supervisor very accommodating. Only complaint is breakfast was not well kept and food and condiments kept running out. Breakfast clerk was nice though! I will most definitely return here!

József Gyula Nemes: Affordable yield close to the center. I am kindly helpful. Rooms are tidy, breakfast is delicious and hearty. What is a bit weak is the wifi that works in the hotel. I had a good time, I will recommend it to friends as well.

SUSMITA KAR: Rooms were nice and clean and friendly staff.. breakfast however was not good! Breakfast time was 8-10 am on Saturdays and Sundays and both the days it was over by 8.30 😂 I’d expect a better estimate from the management!

Shanekya Tate: My experience at this hotel was a complete disaster…DO NOT STAY HERE…..I paid approximately $200 for an overnight stay…..AS A RESULT, I did not expect to be welcomed by ROACHES….Upon arriving, we waited approximately 25 minutes for the front desk representative to acknowledge us & check us in…..While waiting, I called the main hotel line and it continued to ring non-stop…There was no service bell, therefore, after patiently waiting I had no other choice but to yell “HELLO” numerous times ( Which was completly out of my character)….The lobby had not been swept and the carpets throughout the hallway were filthy!!! When I reached my room, AS SOON AS I TURNED ON THE LIGHT TWO LARGE ROACHES CRAWLED AROSSS THE FLOOR…. Immediately Disgusted!!! I did not even fully enter the room to speak on the rest of the condition of the room!! I returned to the front desk to explain & asked for a refund!! It seemed as if my complaint was something they were already aware of… I was informed that they was spraying on that floor last week & offered another room (As if roaches don’t travel)…I kindly REFUSED & requesred a redund, which was denied & I was told to call “CHOICE” the company booked through!! NOT ONLY DID I CALL, but after an hour on the phone with them!m, I was told to call Comfort Inn back as they were the only ones who were allowed to refund me!!!! I had already traveled long hours, this was completly inconvenient having to find another hotel late at night in an unknown area!! Thankfully, a representative by the name of Maria spoke with her manager who was Pleasant to return my funds…. I will not stay here or recommend spending money here!! ACROSS THE STREET IS “HARBORSIDE HOTEL” very clean and pleasant experience!! Staff and rooms are a 10….This was the worse experience I ever had!!

enap: I had a wonderful experience at the Comfort Inn Ballston. The room was clean and the location was convenient with plenty of parking spaces. They offer a free shuttle to Ballston metro station. I was amazed by the breakfast selection; warm omelets, sausages, and waffles were available, which I think was a great deal considering the reasonable hotel price. But most of all, the staff members were so delightful. They went over and beyond to help our stay enjoyable. My favorite were Mrs.J and two gentlemen at the front desk, Mr.J and Mr.H. Thank you for treating us like a family. I will definitely come back to this hotel in the future.

Daniel Girtin: Overall I was very impressed with this place even though I had my doubts since it was a comfort inn. After staying there though I would highly recommend it. The breakfast bar was nice, the rooms were very comfortable and the location was very convenient. Some of the staff was amazing and a couple left something to be desired but over all 2 weeks there and I was happy

Jen Knox: Hotel is right on the corner and very easy on easy off from the freeway. However, do not stay here if you two a trailer or your vehicle is higher than 9 feet. There is little to bo parking and definitely no parking for a trailer. My Nissan NV2500 cargo van only was going to fit in the outside lot. But, everything else was great, smooth check in, rooms appeared clean and definitely a spacious King Suite.

Kevin Knoll: Paid for king/courtyard view, had to accept queen/interstate view due to plumbing issues with original room. Had to have room keys re-coded more than 20 times during 3 night stay 5/12-5/15. Joanne the manager stood in front of me and maintained complete silence when I spoke with their brand new desk clerk about our dissatisfaction, clearly hearing me yet not making eye contact or acknowledging my presence. She immediately went and closed her office door next to the elevators to further avoid any sort of managerial responsibility. The hotel is very convenient to the highway, DC and numerous eateries. If you want a cheap room and have low expectations, this hotel will surely suffice. Fans of Fawlty Towers will find it entertaining. Most businesses do take on the personality of leadership, this one seems to barely be able to make the doors work.

Brittany Handy: Received a hotel voucher since my flight was canceled through Delta. I arrived and had to wait over an hour and a half in the lobby with a handful of other guests. when I finally received my room key, I went up to open the door and opened it and found a suitcase in the room. The room they gave me was also issued to someone else. I went down to the lobby to let them know, and the employee was nice but basically told me she didn’t know what she could do and she was working on it. She also tried to tell me there was no reservation for me even though I had a confirmation number through Delta. Beyond frustrating and unprofessional. I had to room with a coworker since It was well past 11 PM at this point. I would not recommend this hotel there anybody and will be calling corporate to complain about the security issues with giving me a stranger’s room key.

srinivasan Ramakrishnan: Pros , Neat rooms , clean restroom, free parking , good value to stay , near to DC Cons, Door lock pretty old not working from inside , access card/key needs update . Free breakfast served - but employee will question you if they see more than one muffin or doughnut in you plate. Well I took those for my kid and wife sitting near the table. Rude indeed. Well manager told me she wassorry about they way I was treated, but you know what it ruined my whole day. Pity me ?

dona seminetta: An older hotel, but it was clean and the staff was friendly. Their restaurant was closed, but you are within walking distance to quite a few others. Continental breakfast was available. Free parking.

Jessica Williams: Which I could give a lower rating. This was the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever seen if you can even call it a hotel. Disgusting!!!! Elevator carpet was filthy. Halls had trash in them. Went to two different rooms that smelt like cigarettes. Just nasty, walls need to be painted in the hallway. Doesn’t feel like the hallways are air conditioned. Not to add their was a bug waiting on our pillow for us. With the two pillows provided look as if they belong on someone’s sofa.

Adam Carte: Girl at front desk was extremely unpleasant, no customer service skills whatsoever. Room was clean but bed was very soft!! Felt like sleeping in a hammock.Will never visit this hotel again!!

Babba Samba: This place is one step from being condemned. There is a weird stench in in the elevators , halls and rooms. There are stains on furniture in rooms and the pillows are so small you can sleep on them. This has to be one the worst and disgusting hotels I ever stayed in

joanne schneller: Room was fine. No handicapped room available????? Put us on floor #3 not even close to the elevator. Real struggle for me with luggage. Breakfast left much to be desired - no coffee in pot at 7:45am, a 2 slice toaster for 25 people that barely worked, cardboard eggs, fake butter, etc. Pro - a few blocks from the auto train! Employees very nice.

Alan Park: The room was very clean and spacious with a desk for working and a very comfortable bed, and plenty of outlets for my devices. It was also very quiet so sleeping was no problem. In my brief interactions with staff, I found them very friendly. I was just here for a quick overnight stay, but all my needs were met. Overall I was very satisfied with the experience.

Teresa Wyckoff: The service was impeccable! The people at the front desk were so nice, and so kind. Drove in late, from a long drive and they made process fast and smooth to check in. Free wifi & it was very fast. Room was clean and quiet. A great value, breakfast was good - with eggs, and sausage. They had microwave & fridge, which we appreciated. Thank you for a great stay and thanks for the recommendation to drive through the Shenandoah park as we were traveling south, beautiful views of the fall leaves.

Rhea Sharma: This place is awful, old, and run down. It’s waterfountains and computers are not functional. Their breakfast is poor. The rooms contained rusty and old toilets. The walls are cracked in places and there were insects crawling in the room. In addition, their carpets were dusty and the room was smelly. They did not provide the most basic necessities such as charging outlets and functional lights. I feel cheated out of my money. The stay was definetly not worth the expense. Try to avoid this hotel.

Randall Thayer: This hotel is convenient to the Metro and to Amtrak so it was a good location for me. The staff were great and helped me with my laundry and directions. They also provided transportation one day to Metro. I found my room to be spacious and clean. the table was great for meals and working. They even have a small refrigerator to store drinks and stuff. The breakfast was very good and included waffles and oatmeal, which I like.

Lauren Ainsworth: The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff are friendly, attentive and accommodating. Very pleased with our stay and would highly recommend!

Holland Holland: Very good location near shopping centers, stores and eateries. The room is a bit dated but i enjoyed the jacuzzi tub.

Lindsey Gray: There was some kind of party all weekend in the hotel with loud music until 3 am and the parking lot was so full we had to park 2 lots away and walk. The room had a bug on the sheets and our keycards didn’t work and we had to get new ones twice. The hallways smelled of weed and the bathroom had a tub that filled with water while showering and the toilet would not flush correctly. Definitely do not stay here especially if you have kids it’s not very safe and the side exterior door which is supposed to only be accessed with a room key is always open. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in they also did not honor the original price and charged an extra $50 fee that I wasn’t aware of and was not on the website.

Jerri “Medic4Purple” Thompson: Except for it being a nightmare to get to, it was tge perfect location for our stay. We visited the tidal basin to experience the Cherry Blossoms at full bloom. Room was clean and staff very professional. Only issue is the toilet is sized for a child, so very low to ground. It was very difficult for my elderly mother to use without assistance. There were contractors on site giving estimates do hopefully they willbe renovating soon and addressing this issue. Would recommend for an overnight stay. They have a full hot breakfast which is a plus.

Gray Lenora: This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stay in. The rooms were not cleaned at all. Hair is was stuck to the ceiling in bathroom. I did Lysol all the the surfaces but the amount of dirt was gross. I sleep in bed by door and move early morning to the bed the was next to air conditioning, half the room was too hot. After Laying in the other bed for about 30 minutes I got really itchy pull the sheets back and realize some of the sheets inside were dirty and there was bedbug and a spider in the bed. Save you money for a better hotel.

Jarrod Walker: No frills hotel, restaurant not open yet. Located in a funky spot behind Hotel Pentagon (an old motel that’s trying to hold on). The staff is pretty friendly. Pay attention to the room amenities, not all rooms come with a fridge and microwave (however, there’s a microwave for use in the lobby). While the hotel looks a little dated, it is nice & clean.

Dan Bernard: I picked this hotel due to it having a restaurant. Upon check in I find out the restaurant is closed. (COVID) also, there is no refrigerator or microwave in the room the hot breakfast was still on. I arrived at 8:45. Staff were in the breakfast room closing it down at 8:55 am. People were still wanting to eat but were told “sorry we are closing it now” we still had 5 min. No leniency from the house cleaning staff. I don’t think customer service is high on the list. I have many hotel stays in a year. I experience hotels across the U.S. and Canada. I know some hotels are trying to save money by not reopening some amenities. Yet, they still advertise these things on the choices app. Dissatisfied with the hotel stay.

Chuck Cali: Booked for location to Regan airport. And they state in their info on various sites that they have an airport shuttle. They do not any longer since Covid started. Friendly staff, good breakfast choices and its included.

Jordan Hall: Asked for money in front of hotel multiple times. Very nice front desk, but slow check in and room wasn’t ready upon arrival after check in time. Card stopped opening room door each night of stay. Nice rooms, walking distance to metro rail. Looks like it used to be really nice.

idesigndream: They overbook their hotels. And when I booked the hotel 2 weeks before my stay with special rate, there were room available, and few days before my stay, they are calling me to say that they are overbooked and they can not honor special rate. This is so bad how they treat their guests! Tips to the manager: next time offer your guest who booked the room early if they are willing to pay the regulars rate before asking them to cancel for your overbooking mess-up. No wonder why the rating of the property is so bad!

Denice DuPree-Harper: We stayed there 3 nights as a guest for a family members 60th birthday party. The party was great but many of our family members had the worst rooms from broken doors to water from rain in room to roaches in their room. My Husband and I had a room on the 6th floor which happened to be better than what the rest of the family got but the smell of Marijuana was constant in the hallways. I even sprayed with the can of Lysol we carry with us to cut some of the smell. Lobby is the cleanest part of the hotel. Pool was empty and was told under renovations. Breakfast was nothing to scream and shout about but the staff was nice. They will have to make a whole lot of changes for me to even consider coming back to this hotel. Was very disappointed. My daughter nicknamed it the TOE short for THE GHETTO!

nadine gudger: The venue for the wedding was a walk across from the hotel. The overall stay, I would recommend until the staff and policies are put in place, I would not stay there again. Housekeeping come into your room without knocking first. Or when they did knock it was only once and they walk in take your wash clothes and towels and leave.i talked to the front desk and was told we would get clean towels and wash cloth between 1/4pm. I then asked was there a shortage and the house keeping staff should not enter a room without permission. I was yes to both. When another was called, I was told they did not hear the phone. When they tried calling the front desk they noticed there was no cord connection to the phone and outlet. Comfort inn needs to do better

nicole: Outdated rooms, mildew and cigarette smell throughout the entire hotel..not to mention limited response from hotel staff!! How disappointing this property ended up being compared to the reviews and photos. Upon check-in I was greeted with a somewhat lackadaisical attitude by hotel staff. Never was I asked what type of room would I like based on my preferences already on file. Once the entering the room you immediately notice the wear and tear on walls, furniture, and carpet. However.. the worst part would be the odor!! Stale cigarettes and perfume mixed together with dampness. This had to be the worst experience I’ve had in a long time. I’ll admit the complimentary breakfast was good. Staff kept all items refreshed and clean. Hotel location was excellent..nestled amongst routes 50, 301, 197, as well as MLK Highway. All in all I’ll more than likely never return to the this property simply because of the lack of communication and willingness to resolve guest comfortably issues.

Rhea Washington: My visit was amazing, my husband and I were regulars before we got married in September 2021. However, today 3/6/22 the front desk woman didn’t allow me to do a late check out regardless whether I was a regular. I asked to speak to a manager and she stated she wasn’t available. When I checked out the manager was at the front desk. I will stick to more seasoned staff from now on! The room was great, just the bad ending that ruined my day!

Jen Knox: Easy on, easy off. Ample parking for any type of car/SUV/truck and trailer. Hotel appeared clean, front desk staff was friendly. Rooms were clean and well maintained and most importantly the shower had pressure even all the way on the 3rd floor. I would absolutely stay here again.

American Express: This is a great hotel to stay in if you are in the Bowie area visiting or close to that area . The comfort INN really lives up to its name , I could stay in my room all day. The big windows with plenty natural sunlight coming thru and a great view of the pool and patio decks. The room was spacious and clean , came with microwave, cable TV with a few good cartoon channel for children and HBO movie channels and other good movie channels. WIFI is fast and beds are super crisp and comfortable. There is coffee and tea in your room and the showers have big head that feel like rainfall, so satisfying. The bathrooms have big mirrors and are also very spacious, deep bathtubs and super clean and white tile. Housekeeping also put make up removers in the bathroom which was a huge PLUS , I actually forgot mine in New York so I was happy they provided those with the room lol . The breakfast was delicious, the biscuits and country gravy 🤤 their bacon and the countless other things to choose from . It is a full hot breakfast buffet with cereal and a cool waffle maker kids enjoy !! Those waffles are big and filling , yogurt and bagels , also had options between hard boil eggs and scramble, exceeded my expectations honestly on the breakfast tip . I walked away satisfied with the taste and quality of food . The hotel is very convenient, laundry and fitness center on the first floor and also a nice size pool in the back with a few patio chairs and table with umbrella , beautiful. Lastly, the staff . My favorite person there was Jackie in house keeping , I believe she is a manager and rightfully so . I love her energy and her welcoming attitude, I felt so comfortable going to her if I needed anything or any information about the area , she was such a joy and good personality . She really made my stay that much more comfortable, I felt good spirits from the staff here overall nit one complaint, from the woman running the dinning area who always made sure the juice at breakfast stay filled and made sure the buffet were neat and the food presentation were up to par , to the woman on the fourth floor cleaning me room , she was so kind and polite and always asked before entering my room , I appreciate the kindness and happy faces I seen with staff , the energy was good in there . Hopefully when I return , because I definitely will be Staying here from now on when I come to Maryland , I hope to see Jackie again , she truly made my stay that much more special and I hope she can see this review and I’ll see her again soon ! The girl with the flexi rods 😂 beautiful soul .

Colette: Great hotel. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast isnt terrible and everything is clean. However, at the time of my stay, they were demolishing the floor above my room and from 8 AM to 6 PM there was constant banging and drilling right above my room. Insanely loud. They offered me a new room but I had a lot of stuff and a cat and decided against it. I just wish they had thought not to put anyone in a room that was that loud.

Pepper Mann: First time driving in Arlington, VA. Trying to find the Comfort Inn. Access to the road of the Comfort Inn can be confusing, even though we were using a navigation system. We had to circle around for about ten minutes to finally get into the parking lot. Otherwise, we were able to enjoy our time there. Shopping and restaurants are in walking distance.

May Fung: Newly renovated. Room size is traditionally the same. Bathroom is clean. Suggestions for the details: more hanging hooks/towel hangers for bathroom, light above full size mirror, light for service bar. Cushions and end tables for loveseat, a sitting chair at corner near window or a dresser. Right now the room is sparce and not comfortable nor practical. Only two small drawers at service table. Loveseat is hard and deep, need some cushions to soften it.

Luis Gronek: The room was a mess. Old, small and not really clean. There was hair on the floor. The service and the reception were unmotivated. The breakfast contained only a waffle maker and joghurt and some cornflakes. The cofee was really undrinkable. Very poor motel with flickery lights for the capitol city Washington.

Christina Roman: My experience in booking and attempting to check into my room was HORRIBLE. So horrible, that I left and found a new place to stay. First of all, I booked the room through Choice Hotels, since that is what the hotel belongs to, for 4 people. Upon arriving, the very rude manager told me that I couldn’t have 4 people because “the beds are too close together” and I “should have called because each location has different policies.” I would understand if I booked through a third party, but this was absolutely unacceptable. I tried to look past it and accept the key, and when I got to my room the outside light wasn’t working so it was completely dark, and the key did not work!!! After trying to get in for 20 minutes, I went back to the front to request a refund. The lady was extremely unsympathetic to the situation, rude, and dismissive. I called back the next day to speak to the owner of the hotel and the same horrible lady answered with the sow horrible customer service.

Tatiana Orekhova: Really enjoyed staying here. Clean room, comfy bed, microwave, pretty big fridge, coffeemaker. Nice breakfast with fruits, yogurt, omelette, waffles and etc. Beautiful, quite aria with garden, gazebo. If it’s necessary, walking distance from a subway and Walmart. Nice, friendly, helpful staff. Rob: The white front desk manager is extremely rude, condescending and immature. In response to a request for a ground floor room facing the inner courtyard his response was "You dont get to choose your room." He acted like the hotel was super popular and fully booked and was super condescending with no hospitality and customer service skills. You are in the hospitality business your job is to be hospitable and fulfill the needs and wants of your guests as best as you can because that is how the business works. There is a reason resorts and hotels are classified under Tourism and Hospitality. Obviously this ignorant and condescending manager is oblivious to that fact and has no idea how to run a hotel.

Jen Millenium: Great hotel! You need to stay here especially if you want an affordable rate, also the room are very comfy, clean and big, I had a good time in here!

Annelies Van Brocklin: The staff were very friendly and accommodating. However, there are gaps in upkeep. There were holes in the elevator where it looked like someone had taken the handle off. The handle was fixed but the holes were still there. There was also a hole in the doorframe in our bathroom and my husband found a roach in the bathroom. The bathroom door was very sticky. There was also a meal left in the fridge from the last guest that was not thrown away by the cleaning staff.

David Morrison: Well seemed ok. Safe quiet. Comfortable. A bit outdated but ok. Had a bed shower mini-fridge and microwave. Got shower before checking out and saw someone looking at me... OMG it was not the housekeeper but a roach at eye level. Antenna twitching. I think he laughed. Down the drain he went hot water and all. 20 mins of nice hot water to burn and drown him. 1 minute later he crawls back up.. Hmm. Thinking I will not return. Also smells of urine and BO on elevator.
