Park Hyatt Washington D.C.: what do users think?

Patrick Hill: Excellent all around. First off, the location is perfect, tucked away from K Street and close to Rock Creek making it more of a quiet location relative to other parts of the city. The building, lobby etc all look very new, clean and crisp. The room itself was large, modern and had a very comfortable bed. We had one of the Junior Suite with the half bath. It was a great deal using Hyatt Points and paying $100 for the upgrade over a standard room. Enjoyed arriving to fresh cookies as well from the staff. Very nice touch. My one gripe with many Hyatt properties is the pocket door for main bathrooms however the pocket door at the Park Hyatt was substantial and allowed for more privacy. We had both dinner and breakfast room service and both meals were fantastic, delivered on time and well worth the price. I assume everything was cooked from Blue Duck Tavern which has rave reviews. I did not have the opportunity to check out the pool or fitness center, but can only imagine those facilities are top notch. Finally the staff were all friendly and polite. The service like that matters. I look forward to returning again soon.
Response: Greetings Patrick Hill, Thank you very much for taking the time to review our hotel; we appreciate that! We are very happy to hear how much you enjoyed your stay with us and we can't wait to welcome you back again very soon. Best Regards, Donna

Chris Turner: This was our first time staying at the Park Hyatt and it was a wonderful experience. The moment we arrived, the bellhop Jorge, gave us a warm welcome and helped us unload our luggage and four young kids. When we checked in, our room did not have a great view so they upgraded us to the Georgetown Suite and it was phenomenal! The room was gorgeous, spacious, and comfortable. The room service was delicious, especially the breakfast. When we were ready to check out, Jorge once again warmly greeted us and helped us bring our luggage down and load it into our car. I know it can be hard to work on Christmas, but the staff were cheerful and warm. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in DC.
Response: Chris Turner, We are delighted to hear that your stay met all of your expectations. We will make sure that we let Jorge know that you gave him a rave review as well. We hope to see you again in the near future! Tonia

Mariya K: Good hotel but I expected more from a five star hotel. The front desk staff was friendly except one black man he was a bit rude. Also they should clean their carpet in the front as the first impression when you walk in leaves a feeling of a dirty place. I stayed in a suit and it was nice and had everything you need. The only thing they need to change armchairs as those have old school shrunk covers. I decided to make a reservation for a dinner at the Blue Duck tavern which was recommended by the front desk and I was told they had a Michelin star. I’ve been to Michelin stars restaurants before so I had some high expectations. But the restaurant disappointed me a little bit. First there was a little confusion where the host station was. When I walk in there’s a bar in the front and I told I had a reservation and a barman told I could seat anywhere the I walked further and saw a hostess. I was by myself and they had plenty of empty tables. It was an hour and a half before they close. But they decided to seat me in a totally empty area which I didn’t like even though I asked to seat at the different area which had empty tables. The hostess asked a waiter but he refused. I ordered a cocktail and after sipping I noticed the glass was all dirty which is unacceptable in any restaurant but especially at the restaurant with a Michelin star. The food was tasty. When I received a check I expected they would take that cocktail out of the bill or offer me a discount which they didn’t. So I left with a bitter aftertaste. No wonder why they didn’t receive a star from Michelin for the past years. The service leaves much to be desired.
Response: Hello Kalashnik, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback on your recent stay. We appreciate all the feedback we can get about our guests' experiences. Please allow me to apologize for the less than perfect Hyatt experience. Your feedback has been shared with our entire management team, and we will evaluate ways to improve our operation. Again we appreciate your concerns and we will consider your comments while making changes. Thank you for choosing Hyatt. Best, Anisa

Vivian Cheng: Great hotel. Got a junior suite, which was spacious and comfortable. Good lighting in the room too. It was clean and well-maintained. Not a lot of street noise, which is always a bonus. Amenities are nice. Shower pressure is low, but the shower is spacious. Note: Blue Duck Tavern is worth a visit. Also, hotel is about 7 minutes from the Foggy Bottom metro stop.
Response: Greetings Vivian Cheng, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel and giving us a 5 star rating. We really appreciate that. Very sorry to hear about the water pressure in the shower. this information has been communicated to our team to be addressed. I would agree that the Blue Duck Tavern is worth a visit. We can't wait to welcome you back to the Park Hyatt Washington D.C very soon. Best Regards, Donna

Frederick E Stidam Jr: Great customer service from the manager Mr.Cho ,the valet team, house keeping, and front desk staff. 👏 . Any and everyone we interacted with with was friendly and professional. The room clean spacious and comfortable. This location perfect for access to great dining and fun dining.
Response: Hello There Frederick, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your feedback on your recent stay. We are overjoyed that our staff at the hotel provided great customer service, we appreciate your kind comments. We are glad to hear we met cleanliness and comfort expectations. We hope to be able to welcome you back soon! Kind Regards, Anisa

Sek Eun John Lee: My wife, our 20-month-old son, and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Park Hyatt Washington DC. Staff members were welcoming and professional. Our suite was widely-spaced and gave our family much-needed privacy. Food via room service from Blue Duck Tavern was delicious. Location of the hotel was amazing given its proximity to Georgetown and Dupont Circle. We will definitely stay here again.
Response: Hello Sek Eun John Lee, Thank you for providing your feedback on your recent stay. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us here at the Park Hyatt Washington D.C. We are glad you enjoyed your room and the food we had to offer. We hope to welcome you back soon again! Kind Regards, Anisa

Adam Wilton: This was my first stay at a Park Hyatt property and I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I had an amazing stay and it is now one of my favorite hotels/brands. The service is excellent with the front desk staff being super friendly and professional - some of the best service I have ever experienced at a hotel. The room was very nice and clean with high end amenities and finishes. Since I booked through AMEX’s FHR program, I received a $100 property credit which I was able to use for room service at the Blue Duck Tavern which had excellent food - truly some of the best food I’ve ever had. Unfortunately there is only valet parking available so I just parked at a George Washington University parking ramp which was much cheaper, but the hotel is actually quite reasonably priced and rivaled some much more expensive 5-star hotels I’ve stayed at. Overall, the Park Hyatt brand shocked me on how nice it is, and I intend to visit more properties in the portfolio when I travel.
Response: Dear Adam Wilton, We are thrilled to be the first Park Hyatt you have stayed with! It is fantastic to hear you had an amazing stay and is now one of your favorite hotels/brand. We are pleased our service was excellent and the front desk staff were super friendly and professional. We are overjoyed that it was some of the best service you have ever experienced! It is wonderful your room was very nice and clean and you enjoyed our Blue Duck Tavern. We are ecstatic it is some of the best food you have ever had! Thank you for the insight on parking and on pricing. We are truly honored you will be visiting more Park Hyatts and will look forward to your next visit with us! Warmest regards, Tonya

Harlen Smith: It is late June 2022 and this hotel is pretending it is June 2020. Except that they are charging 2022 prices while providing 2020 deep covid level services. Tgd staff are great, but there’s no real room service, no minibar, no spa, the pool is closed. The only food available on site is from the Michelin starred restaurant downstairs, which is only open for a few brief windows per day. Breakfast is normal, but lunch and dinner are over wrought and over rich. Not something you can eat multiple days in a row. I paid $800/night to stay in a mid sized suite with my 5 year old. We pay that kind of money because we want access to good food in our room while traveling. Park Hyatt DC did not deliver on that. It’s also about a decade past due for a renovation, but I would have been fine with that if they weren’t pulling a covid service con. Do not stay here until they get their ish together. Even then, management of this hotel has proven that their judgement cannot be trusted. So maybe just don’t ever stay here.
Response: Dear Harlen Smith, Thank you for the feedback. I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay with us . We appreciate the insight on our guest rooms and our food options, as we recover from the impacts of Covid -19. We value your feedback to make improvements. Thank you for staying with us and we hope to have the chance to provide a better experience in the future. Aneshia

Hyatt Place Washington Dc/Us Capitol: what do users think?

Melanie Brown: Hotel is nice, breakfast is good, everything was clean and well stocked. Giving 5 stars because the staff is exceptional! Above and beyond meeting every need and SUPER friendly! Another bonus is the cold water they keep in the lobby. It had ice and was full every time we came down morning or night. What a comfort for busy tourists, especially in the summer. There are drugstores, food and coffee right around the corner. And ubers into all of the tourist attractions were fairly inexpensive. We will be staying here again! dispense in the lobby

Pola P: The sheet of the bed was dirty. The road outside was very loud and I could hear every car going by while being in my room. The walls are very thin and I could hear people from the other room almost all evening. The bathroom door was very loud! It was squeaking. The breakfast wasn’t that good. The room was spacious and nice. The air conditioner was very easy to operate. The elevators were very fast and nice!

Jen Bradley: Pay for the valet or your car WILL be broken into!!! At least a dozen cars had a window smashed out during our stay & center consoles ripped out. They put two holes in my window trying to break in but couldn’t get it to shatter. Everyone else, not so lucky. When I told the front desk they said they tell everyone not to park on the street (when we arrived they said valet or street were the options, no warning whatsoever about the DAILY break-ins and complete lack of police presence). Breakfast was ok. Semi convenient location but not safe (vacant lots flank half the street). Coffee shop across the street was nice. Room wasn’t that clean. Needed a blanket for the pull out couch and had to wait 30 min, as no one was attending the front desk. Phone did not work. Need a key card to gain access to the lobby and to activate the elevator, even in DC that says a lot,

uthra pakkiriswamy: Towels were smelling full of smoke! That means they haven’t changed from previous stay or they haven’t washed properly. Whole room was filled with smoke. For 4 people, 1 shampoo and 1 soap was provided. Exhaust fan wasn’t working in toilet. Worst room service in my entire life! Kitchen, valet service was good.

The Hay-Adams: what do users think?

Bill Maniatis: From the moment the door is opened for you, you will know that you are walking intro a most beautiful well maintained historical hotel. The facility is so well maintained and he attention to detail is second to none! Everything is clean and organized to perfection! Adding to that facility is the amazing staff! So helpful and polite and willing to perform the jobs so amazingly well. Proper turn down service, friendly and polite and so friendly This is the only place to stay in! The location is wonderful and extremely convenient however what makes The Hey Adams standout is the wonderful staff, attention to detail and how the hotel is maintained. Thank you all so much!

Evan D: Average person review: visiting from the South, and it’s an odd way to type out a review on how employees at a hotel can make you feel like you’re family here while thinking about how it’s their job to do so. It’s not a forced smile they put on, but rather a genuine atmosphere in all that they do for you. My bed was made multiple times a day, my dirty clothes were neatly folded in a small area in the room and I always had fresh towels. (It’s just a big thing for me) As I said before, the staff was more than welcoming! One gentlemen opened the door with a smile outside, and another opened it with a smile on the inside. I’m not anything special, but the Hay Adams staff sure did make me feel as if I was the most important person visiting for the next few days! Breakfast was outstanding; again, I’m a Southerner so breakfast is our staple. Didn’t get a chance to see the rooftop bar after walking 8 miles around DC because we were tired but everything about the inside and restaurant were perfect. As I said in the beginning is exactly what I want to say by ending; it’s a very hard way to describe how this building and staff make you feel like you’re family, and not just a temporary resident to fill a budget quota. There’s truly an indescribable feeling that walking into the Hay Adams is just like going to a distant relatives house. You don’t see them every day, but when you first arrive on the front porch, you’re greeted with a warm welcoming that makes you feel as if you’ve only been gone a few hours. 5 stars.

Katherine Collins: Treated my sister and her husband to a stay at the Hay-Adams & it’s one of the very few times I can say that it was absolutely worth every cent. Our rooms were impeccable, every member of the staff we encountered was genuinely caring, & every meal we ate was exceptional. Everything exceeded my expectations. I’ve never experienced anything like it; they must go out of their way to hire the best of the best & treat them well because nothing fell short of absolute excellence. I don’t think I could ever stay anywhere else in the city. It made our time in DC magical.

Tracey Vlahovic: This was an experience! From my room I can see the white house and such a wonderful view! I took the best pictures! The hotel bar was great and wonderful staff greeted us. We had many rooms booked and so many of my family came along and everyone enjoyed! I highly recommend!

Adam Galazka: Overall, just an amazing experience. I would give them 4.5 stars. Mainly because after our stay, we found some rim and tire damage from valet parking. Working with their management to address it. Booked this through Amex Platinum. Their check in process was amazing. From doors being open to everyone knowing your name, just great. This hotel is right down the street of the White House. Just an amazing location. Room was great with St. John view of the church. Room was spacious. Shower had an amazing pressure. Enjoyed the little touch of water and mandarins. Turn down service was also great as we did not expect it. We will definitely be back. Restaurant and bar/lounge on the premises are amazing.

brian perkins: Was visiting DC for the first time since the pandemic. So glad we stayed at The Hay-Adams. So charming. So comfortable. So beautiful. Such great service (the doormen, the waiters, the hostesses great you by your name every day!). I only had breakfasts there…and I miss them. Especially the corned beef hash. And they charged my Tesla. Perfect.

Priya R.: What an amazing experience. The location of the hotel is spectacular, the service is amazing and the rooms are beautiful. Special thanks to Brian Thomasson for going above and beyond to make sure my twin boys felt special during the stay. If you truly want a memorable experience, you cannot stay anywhere else. We plan to come back soon…many thanks for the fantastic memories.

Michelle W: My husband and I stayed in the Lafayette Park view suite for three nights and we were impressed with every aspect of this beautiful hotel - from the courteous and pleasant service from every employee we interacted with, an awesome concierge who set us up with an informative walking tour of DC, to the wonderful in room dining staff. Off the Record was a nightly favorite! We can’t wait to come back and stay again!

Thomas Corcoran: Despite an issue with some minor room cleanliness, the hotel management handled it extremely well. The staff turned what would have been a disappointment into a very positive experience. We look forward to returning for a relaxing stay again.

Hyatt Place Washington Dc/National Mall: what do users think?

Keith Wunsch: Convenient location, fairly close to the Smithsonian museums and national mall. The 2 queen bed (and sofa bed) room is perfect for families. Service is fast and friendly. Breakfast is a bit basic but is included in your room fee which is a major plus. Most of the unique amenities are closed in the cooler seasons and parking is a little pricey ($50/day) but otherwise it is a well equipped hotel.

Jennifer Jordan: The hotel elevator floors were dirty and not well maintained. The elevator buttons were barely attached to call an elevator on the lobby level. There were letters missing on the wall of the lobby level. The room was decent but the walls were marked up and the bathroom left a lot to be desired. The towel rack in our bathroom was rusted badly and the tub did not drain well. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone I know. There is a reason why they do not show pictures of the bathroom when booking.

Jazmín Romero: We stayed for one night and that was enough to know how things work here. The attention from the front desk staff was very good, no complaints about that. But: First of all, the elevators are pretty slow, it takes about 5 minutes to get into one. The air conditioner in our room made a lot of noise and it wasn’t fun to listen to. At around 9 a.m. the cleaning lady knocked at our door because she wanted to clean up already. It was a bit of a bother because we had just woken up, were still in bed and had barely gotten prepared for breakfast. She said that she had on her list that we would be doing the regular 12 noon checkout and not the later 2 pm checkout (we had told the staff at the front desk that we would do the 2 pm checkout since we have Hyatt Discoverist status which allows this). For breakfast there were no trays to put our plates on. They offered different sizes of plates and glasses/ cups, but I guess they think we have 6 hands to hold everything. It’s inefficient to make more than one trip to get the food. We decided to eat something in the afternoon before we left. The waiter took our order. He then said that my chicken sandwich would last longer that normal to come out (about 20 minutes. It ended up being a whole HOUR. He did not say anything about the time and we saw how the table next that arrived after us was finishing their food already. I am pretty disappointed. I hope they can get better.

Mr. Carl Davis: We stayed at this location the entire week and totally enjoyed everything. The room was spacious and we had a decent view from the 6th floor. We were centrally located to the National Mall and walking distance to CVS and the local grocery and other attractions... The staff while being very busy at times was professional and very nice on all levels. The breakfast was great and had a variety and a good selection of food... Not sure why someone said breakfast cost them extra because nothing was added extra for us on our bill. Neither were we disturbed by the fire station located around the corner of the hotel... We had a great stay....Thumbs 👍.

Erin Miller: beautiful hotel room. very clean, and amazing breakfast with all vegetarian options. the ladies at the front desk were super nice and informative. the valet was great too, I left my phone in the car by accident and he gladly retrieved our car for us so I could get it. thanks so much!
Response: Thanks for the great review, Erin! It's wonderful you enjoyed your stay at Hyatt Place Washington DC/White House so much! Catherine McGuckin: Wonderful Staff And Convenient Location!! This is a well-managed property and highly recommend! Your staff should be commended. Your valet men are hard working and made sure my son’s truck was out the night before he was to report to USMC Quantico. Thank you gentlemen!! Miss T! Thank you!!! Miss T saved the day ensure my son’s shirt was dry before his departure! You were so pleasant and we’re so grateful! Great property, nice variety at breakfast, rooftop bar was great! Easy walking distance to Metro!

Elizabeth Towe: Just completed a 5 night stay for our vacation to Washington DC and while I struggled to pick a hotel for us to stay at, I’m SO glad I chose this one. From the moment we checked in the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is so clean, the bed was SO COMFORTABLE - like sleeping on a cloud. Huge bonus for us was that they have Chromecast on the TV so you can watch your Netflix and other streaming services. The free breakfast was outstanding. It was different every day and they had such a nice variety of options. Location was convenient and within 30 min walk to National Mall and other attractions. Only a 5-10 min walk to the Metro if you choose to go that route like we did several times as well. I do want to note that the only disappointing thing we encountered was one night we heard what sounded like a band very close to the hotel playing drums and music til close to midnight. We used a sound machine app on our phones to drown out the noise so we could go to sleep. I HIGHLY recommend you end your hotel search now and book this hotel for Washington DC!
Response: Thanks for the great review, Elizabeth! It's wonderful you enjoyed your stay at Hyatt Place Washington DC/White House so much! One Washington Circle Hotel: what do users think?

Josephine Amuron: The staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly, I stayed here for 2 weeks and it was amazing

Julisa Ovando: I stayed here about 2 years ago room was nice check in was good BUT I paid for valet parking once I got my car back it was ransacked everything was everywhere I had hundreds dollars worth of items from my trunk stolen I spoke to the manager with my husband they assured me they’d help me out but no 2 years later I have heard nothing. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!

Helena Williams: I stayed here for a week on a school trip and it was great. Our group was well accommodated, and the staff were all very helpful. The rooms were really nice and clean, and there was a whole kitchenette and a balcony. It was also within walking distance of a lot of other cool destinations. I had a great time at this hotel and I would definitely recommend.

Mark Jackson: Excellent location, very inexpensive, genuinely helpful, nice, caring staff, and surprise! The hotel "room" is actually a spacious apartment with a balcony equipped with table and chairs (too cold for us to use). This would be a great place to stay for a week. Tip: Take the room rate that includes parking. Paid in advance it adds $25 to the cost of the room. Otherwise valet parking is $42/night.

Megan Rainey: Great place to stay! Was only there for 1 night, but hotel was clean, rooms were spacious with private balconies and is perfectly located in the city within walking distance to restaurants, bars, the Monument and other historical sites, and Georgetown. Staff was super friendly and helpful with recommendations. Will definitely be staying here whenever we visit DC! Picture is our view from the balcony.

Paul Durkes: Hotel has a great location to everything. The rooms are clean and spacious. Having a balcony is a nice feature too. Cleaning Service is quick and not too intrusive. Only complaint is the shower gel smells horrible. Not sure why it was used.

Maria Bruce: The staff was very friendly. It was difficult to fall asleep because we were on the second floor. Maybe a higher floor would have been quieter. Also the bathroom toilet was way too close to the vanity and toilet paper holder. I kept hitting my arm and shoulder on it. Other than that the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Omni Shoreham Hotel: what do users think?

J MacDrizzly: The Omni DC is a wonderful place to stay while visiting our nation’s Capital. As a guest, It is not uncommon to run into our political leaders, or dignitaries, as many of them have meetings inside the hotel. The old world charm of the hotel, is not lost to mismanagement, or poor upkeep. It’s truly one of a kind. I would recommend this place to anyone. It’s so close to so much, and has some of the most beautiful surrounding streets, large bridges, and enormous towering trees ; that so much of the city has lost with the rapid development. The staff is also very knowledgeable, courteous, and will go out of their way to see you are enjoying your stay. The rooms are spacious, and clean, there is a great little cafe, as well as a restaurant that serves very traditional breakfast. My only complaint, would be that the magnet keys are very easily deprogrammed, so if you can take one piece of advice, don’t let your phone, or any other cards near your key card. Lastly their is a plethora of good, inexpensive restaurants just a stones throw away, as well as a CVS and an exquisite liquor store, that offers a wide assortment of wine and spirits. I could go on about this hotel, I suggest you just give it a visit yourself. I almost forgot about the pool…. Great way to relax and take in some of the natural beauty, while basking in the midday sun. By
Response: Hi J, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful experience at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. We love hearing about our guests experience and are delighted you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit. Amanda Jeffries Marketing & Social Media Manager

Muriel Rand: Charming historic hotel. Room was very comfortable and clean. Good conference/businesses facilities. Service was fine, but very few people available. A bit hard to find the meeting rooms and noone to help. Elevators are tiny and slow. Beautiful lobby and gorgeous gardens behind the hotel. Prefect to sit under the trees.
Response: Hi Muriel, Thank you for taking the time to share your wonderful experience at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. We love hearing about our guests experience and are delighted you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit. Amanda Jeffries Marketing & Social Media Manager

Michelle Olson: We could not have been more pleased with our stay at this hotel! Upon arrival we were met with a friendly greeting from the doormen. Our bags were brought up by the bellman within 30 seconds of entering our room. From that moment, every employee that we had contact with was friendly & helpful! David at the concierge desk had so much knowledge of the area & was able to get us a dinner reservation at a wonderful restaurant. The gym has a wide variety of machines. The outdoor pool was clean & well maintained. I also like that the hotel is right next to the trails at Rock Creek park, the Metro is a block away, the zoo is a three block walk (or $2 bus ride) & there are numerous restaurants to choose from a block away. My only complaint would be that the bathroom counter was small but that is what you get in a historic hotel.

liz: Beautiful grounds, and great location. The subway is super close by! Staff were okay, nothing special. The bed was very comfortable and the overall room was fine, nothing amazing (which it should of been for the price). I was also upset to hear that breakfast is not included. Considering the price of the room, it really should of been. The hotel seems a little outdated but nonetheless I liked the history behind it. I enjoyed the stay but wouldn’t rave about the hotel. Its not the worst thing in the world having to stay here but for how much I paid I will look at other options next time.
Response: Hi Liz, Thank you for your review and letting us know how we can improve the experience for you and future guests. I hope you choose to return and allow us to improve the experience on your next visit. Amanda Jeffries, Marketing & Social Media Manager

Shelby Pelesky: Attempted to stay here and upon arrival the lobby was beautiful. Unfortunately, that is where the elegance ended. Checking in at 5pm, we received our first room only to find it hadn’t been cleaned - the comforter and sheets were rumpled and pillows on the floor. We were given another room and after opening the door, we were severely underwhelmed. The room was very dated (same as the first) but much smaller than the first room. This room at least had the appearance of being cleaned until you lifted the comforter to find hairs in the sheets. We flushed the toilet upon entry and it did not stop running the entire 20 minutes we were in the room. Additionally, after decided not to stay, the valet seemed to have lost my car keys. We waited for an additional 30 minutes just to get the vehicle. Would not recommend for anything other than a pretty lobby.

Steffon Greatness: Very Nice place. Amazingly friendly staff. Very big rooms. Stayed on the East Side (Promenade). The pool is outside so I didn’t go but I did take a look. The pool was stated to be heated. The bathroom was not what I liked in a hotel bathroom. I didn’t use the curtain the first time I showered and almost started a flood… The drains may need to be updated. It feels really old there. Valet service is $55 a day. Daily Hold of $100 a Night. CD A: This is a 1930 built Grand Hotel. Most of that charm is still found here. My room was large and well appointed. The front desk made for an easy check in and out. The maid service was excellent. A beautiful swimming pool, back terrace off the main dining area to take meals al fresco. I was there for a meeting and stayed a week. The main lobby and dining area are beautiful. As for the location, the Zoo, area with mid priced restaurants of all kinds, and the metro a block away to get around. Excellent price and location. I definitely would stay here again.
Response: Hi CD, Thank you for taking the time to share your wonderful experience at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. We love hearing about our guests experience and are delighted you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit. Amanda Jeffries Marketing & Social Media Manager

Sonny Kim: We were absolutely disappointed with everything. The staff from arriving to leaving was completely abrupt and unhelpful. We unfortunately had one of the guests cancel last minute due to testing positive for covid and the hotel staff was completely unaccommodating to put us in a smaller room. The room itself smelled old and damp and only offered toiletries for ONE guest even though the room had two beds and our reservation was for FOUR. The shower ended up clogging up and there were brown stains on the blinds in the bathroom and the staff was able to change our rooms but the next room was not that much better. The staff was also completely unhelpful in advising us on how valet parking worked so we spent the majority of time indecisive on whether to use the valet or find alternative parking. We ultimately were completely disappointed in the amount of money we spent at this hotel and in no way received the level of service to match that.
Response: Thank you for completing the survey regarding your recent stay at our property. By telling us what you liked about your stay and how we can improve, you are helping us deliver a superior experience for you and other guests in the future. I am so sorry that we were unable to meet your expectations. Our hotel offers valet parking only, with the possibility to go in and out anytime. Your comments were shared to our Housekeeping and engineering team regarding the room condition. I hope you will give us a second chance and we will make sure to wow your experience. Sincerely,

Grand Hyatt Washington: what do users think?

Joshua Russell: The Grand Hyatt is a very large hotel near Chinatown, just a couple blocks from Capital One Arena. They have a covered car pull through if you are arriving by car which is nice in case of bad weather but can get a bit busy as it doesn’t seem anyone really is directing people. Once inside the check in desk is to the left rear of the very large lobby. The front desk staff is very nice and efficient. We were able to get checked in very quickly and able to get to our room with ease. The elevators are at the back of the lobby. There were about 6 elevators so you don’t have to wait long to catch one. The room is very spacious and very comfortable with a very nice sitting chair as well as a desk. We had a king bed and it was very comfortable, though one extra pillow would have been nice as there were three pillows so if there are two people both could have two. The bathroom is nice as well with good shower with perfect amount of water pressure. One thing you will notice is that in the hallways and lobby areas they are pumping a scent through the ventilation system. While I found it very nice others may be turned off by it. Overall it was a good hotel in a great location.

Melissa Marie: Great hotel location and close to major tourist areas and shopping. Room was a little dirty in places, but nothing major. The bathroom mirror still had water spots. Desk was dusty and chair had crumbs in it. The shower head was not adjustable and shoots straight out instead of downward. You may not get told at check in what the amenity fee includes. If you ask, they will give you a paper, so you will know what you are entitled to. There is a Starbucks and restaurant inside the hotel. Hotel serves breakfast for free if you are a high level Hyatt member or you can pay for it. The gift shop offers a variety of items, not just souvenirs. Self parking garage is also connected to hotel. It costs $45/day with no in and out privileges. Valet is $62/day, but does include unlimited in and out. The garage elevator goes straight up to hotel lobby. The Metro station is in basement area of hotel and easily accessible to get to and from hotel. Staff was super friendly.

Nene W.: I spent Christmas night at Grand Hyatt Washington this year. It was my second time with them and I had a wonderful time! The staffs were really nice and helpful. If you like to drink and chill, don’t forget to check out their bar. The room was clean and comfortable. Plus, they also have the best breakfast which is available from 7-10am. I will definitely go back to this hotel more often. It was a great experience!

RITA LIN: We had a wonderful stay. The staff were so polite, nice, respectful, friendly and accommodating. The only concern we had was, wishing the vent in the bathroom would have been stronger. The mirrors would fog up easily during a hot shower even with the door open. Over all though , a very relaxing stay, we will return once we are back in town. Thank you!

Kim Nguyen: The Grand Hyatt is located near Chinatown and it’s extremely convenient for us to get around. We were able to walk everywhere during our stay. The online check-in process was easy and quick. I was able to request for early check-in and got our room by 12pm instead of 3pm. That was definitely a plus in my book. The hotel lobby was really massive and beautifully designed. During our stay, there was a medical conference. It was busier than usual and we had to wait some time for the elevator. Our room is across from the Sax restaurant and lounge, so it was really loud at night. There were a lot of honking, screaming, and car noise. Overall, it was a good stay for us. Oh, they also have a Starbucks right inside the hotel.

Jessica Leifer: Disappointing. Can hear the highway from the room, and they supposedly didn’t have any other rooms to offer us. Definitely not worth the price. Rooms should be soundproofed better. Mediocre— nice Marriott at best. Probably could have spent $200 less and stayed at a hotel just as nice, and way quieter. The lobby is adorable and homey feeling. Service was great. Location is great.

Sean C: For a high end hotel, the rooms were old, not well maintained, and very underwhelming. We were super disappointed when we got into our room. It was mediocre at best. It looks like what you would expect at one of the lower end Marriott properties, but not a Ritz. The shower is super small, the toilet is very low to the ground and uncomfortable. The bathtub was dirty, the towels were small, thin and not soft at all. The wallpaper also has stains in a number of places. The lobby of the hotel is nice and the location is good. There are two wings in the hotel and our room was in the West, so I don’t know if this is an older part of the hotel or not, but it could use major renovations for us to want to come back again.

Toni Dzinic: My wife and I had our wedding at the Ritz in their Fahrenheit Ballroom, and what a beautiful night it was! We had ~60 guests and that is about the most people I’d personally recommend for the ballroom. Liliana Klein is the person to talk to when you want to plan a wedding there and she’s such a pleasure to work with. She walked us through everything from day 1. The food was excellent, the preferred vendors were also a joy to work with. Seriously, I’ve never experienced better service at a hotel. If you’re considering having your wedding here, do it! If you’re coming here for a night or two, or just to enjoy some dinner and cocktails, you also won’t regret it. We’ll be back!

Keejoo Park: This place was the excellent choice for us from the beginning to the end. I called to ask some questions prior to book the room and the response was concise with all the answers. We were impressed and booked the hotel. Upon arrival, it was smooth to check in and it was quick to check in. Very convenient from parking to lobby to room as well. I drove pickup truck and the parking was easy for me. I was again lucky to find a spot close the elevator. Staffs checked to see if there was anything hotel can help and provide. The frequency was after arrival and a day later. I requested couple of times and the response was quick and accurate. We rushed to find dinner place on the first night and there were so many restaurants with excellent foods. We tried four places during our stay and all of them were fantastic. No doubt I will visit the wharf area and stay here again.
Response: Dear Keejoo Park, It sounds like every aspect of your stay was great from start to finish; we are glad to hear it! Thank you for choosing our Hyatt House for your travel needs and for taking the time to sing our praises on Google Reviews. Hosting you was our pleasure and we hope to do so again anytime you need to return to Washington. Best, Michael Anderson General Manager

Wendy Caputo: Excellent location, great staff- super friendly, great view, spacious rooms. The morning breakfast was also a nice feature. Food was fresh & well stocked, and the staff assisting were really nice. I was super disappointed with the small, worn, starched towels. It was like drying off with sandpiper.
Response: Dear Wendy Caputo, We are so appreciative of your kind review. It is rewarding to know that you enjoyed our great location, breakfast, and friendly service. Your remarks serve as an encouragement to our team who strive to provide a pleasant stay. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and please visit us upon your return to the area. Best, Michael Anderson General Manager

Kathy G.: We really enjoyed our stay here for the weekend. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous, even giving us another room with the same quality after our first room didn’t work because the people next door (a conjoining room) were being way too loud with their music and partying. The views are spectacular and the beds extremely comfy! I’d give it a 4.5 for sure.
Response: Dear Kathy Grannis, While it wasn't without some flaws, I am glad to hear that your stay was a pleasant one. Thank you so much for taking the time to share this kind and informative feedback with us and other potential travelers. We hope that you will consider a return trip for a flawless experience next time. Best, Michael Anderson General Manager

Jen Hammond: I’m leaving two stars for the amazing view of the Wharf from our room, otherwise this would have probably been closer to a 1 star experience. I expected a lot more from Hyatt to be honest. Upon arrival our room was HOT, 80 degrees to be exact. The AC doesn’t seem to really work, if you put it on auto to the lowest setting it will continuously cut itself off at around 75 degrees, so we had to let it continually run on the fan setting at 65 to get any kind of relief. Looking at the reviews it seems to be the norm that the ac doesn’t work, but keep in mind that it’s about 35 degrees outside, I cannot imagine what it would be like in spring/summer. The shower is a tragedy. It’s the tiniest stream of cold water, if you’re a woman with long hair like myself, it isn’t possible to wash your hair in this shower, and it’s freezing. Luckily we had a bath tub in our room, otherwise this would have been a major problem. They only gave us 2 towels for the entirety of our stay, and even though they give a disclaimer that housekeeping is required to enter your room everyday, we never saw housekeeping. Our room was missing the tv remote and it took them nearly an hour to bring us one, when we called for more towels it was another wait as well. With the staff you either got the most friendly person you have ever encountered, or the most miserable person you’ve ever experienced. We requested a late checkout because our train wasn’t leaving until 5, and even though we never saw or heard another person on our floor during our 3 day stay, they told us they could not accommodate us, which was honestly no surprise considering how lackluster our stay had gone, but they at least were able to hold our luggage for us. They also charge an insane fee of $250 dollars for damages and incidentals upon checking in, so be warned of that. We are still waiting for that to go back onto the credit card, but we aren’t holding our breath based on the other reviews. We would never stay here again, there’s so many other options, and we decided to stay here based on the proximity to the Anthem, but we wouldn’t make that mistake again.
Response: Dear Jen Hammond, Thank you for sharing a review of your recent stay. We sincerely apologize that we were unable to provide you with the exceptional stay you've come to expect from Hyatt House. The details definitely do make a trip and we regret we missed the mark. Your feedback provides us with the valuable information we need to improve our service and offerings. We appreciate your patronage and hope to see you again soon. Sincerely, Michael Anderson General Manager

Shannon A. McGhee: Absolutely perfect!!!! I live for this particular location. Rooms were affordable, clean and smelling good. Beds were fluffed just right. Everything was perfect. The staff!!!!Every single one of them went our their way to make our stay great. I love it.
Response: Dear Shannon A McGhee, Thank you for taking the time to share this glowing review of your experience at our hotel! It is wonderful to hear that you hold our staff in high regard as well as our fresh accommodations. I will be certain to share your comments with our staff who truly love making our guests feel welcome when they come to town. Please find a reason to visit us again soon! Best, Michael Anderson General Manager

Joseph Henzi: This place is great! And a cool location I’ve not yet explored in DC. I got into town early in the morning and was supposed to stay elsewhere. That national casino chain gave away my room, the whole reservation. I called this Hyatt (that I was eyeing before my trip) and they got me a room quickly so I could rest, hours before check in. Everyone I’ve met here has been just as hospitable and overall just super friendly and accommodating in every way. Even better the rooms are clean and nice with a very very aggressive price. It’s hard to pass up and I wish I would have stuck with my instincts and booked this place when I was still shopping ideas for a last minute trip.
Response: Dear Joseph Henzi, Offering clean accommodations and cheerful service are core goals of the staff so it is great to hear that we delivered. Your feedback is very much appreciated. Thank you for staying at our hotel and please come see us again. Best, Michael Anderson General Manager

Lisa: You will hear the food and beverage director before you see him. During our trip, he raised his voice multiple times quite angrily - it was quite concerning to hear him speak to guest service staff in such a way and that he was comfortable enough to do it in front of guests, too. Otherwise, my husband and I had an absolutely lovely stay. Our room was amazing and there were lots of friendly faces. I also especially enjoyed the pillows, and I wish I had thought to ask what type they were as they were super comfy.

Squirrely: Five stars all around. The rooms are elegant, updated, clean, and comfortable. Each staff member I dealt with went above and beyond to help. I was especially pleased with the front desk employee who grabbed me a cup of coffee in the middle of the night when I had to catch an early flight. The location is excellent and there are plenty of restaurants and attractions within walking distance.

Liem Huynh: We stayed for one night in the Metropolitan Suite in June 2022. The room desperately needs renovation and service was nonexistence. Disappointing experience overall. No prearrival email, no response when I emailed the butler service for restaurant reservation, zero communication from the butler during the entire stay. Unfriendly lobby staff, no greeting, had to open the door on my own at times. The Metropolitan Suite was old and in need of a renovation. Dirty pillow cases, worn out carpets, water from faucet smelled a little punky and we even found pieces of shattered glass on the floor. Only positive experience was the check-in, after that everything went down hill. Recommend trying something else while you’re in DC. Much better experience at the Ritz Carltons if you’re a Marriott fan.

Joe J.: Amazing tea experience in DC, probably the best in terms of service, flavor, presentation and selection of teas. The cherry blossom touch is a nice and pleasant surprise. Although it is on the pricey end, definitely recommend!

Ayesha SH: I attended the Whimsy event on April 1. Pros and cons below: Pros: Wine was good. We ordered a Napa cab so it was costly. Ambiance was decent. The best part was their waiters who were super friendly and hospitable. Cons: I was told parking would be validated prior to attending the event. On the day of they refused. We spent upwards of $600 and they wouldn’t validate the parking. Food was ok. I didn’t feel that great later at night. The princess thing was childish, hilarious, and unnecessary. Adults attend these kinds of events not kids. Overall not worth the money they charged us.

Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC/U.S. Capitol: what do users think?

Siobhan Walker: My stay was amazing. My room was spacious and so clean. The front desk was polite, helpful and very professional. Octavia was awesome. She was most helpful because the hotel I had a current reservation for had canceled my reservation and I had to make a reservation here last minute. She provided me the most outstanding customer service possible even with my frustration from the other hotel. Any questions I had was answered and my stay was relaxing. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

g watson: Customer service here is EXCELLENT. Very friendly staff - extra praise to the office manager, Reina Munoz and guest agent Janay! Hilton - you should recognize this location and their staff, they go above and beyond their call to make guests feel welcomed and comfortable. All hotel/hospitality should take this location as the example for service. The rooms are clean, and quite comfortable and roomy - this hotel is conveniently located, just a short walk from Union Station. I was here for business and I was delightfully surprised for the work space and seating area. I was also happy to learn their fitness center is open 24hrs...with my stay being business in nature - it is difficult for me to get a work out in at most places, due to the limited hours fitness centers are available. 100% recommend the US CAPITOL location. If you want to feel welcomed and comfortable, stay here!

Angela Baca: The air conditioning in our room never worked even after they had someone come and fix it. The elevator stopped on every floor. The pool was available but it was foggy and couldn’t see the bottom of the pool because of this. Burned my kids eyes and mine. This hotel is older and not maintained well by Hilton. There are no fans in the bathroom so if you take a hot shower your whole hotel room fills with steam. The people are nice and it is located near a metro. Those are the only two things that are good about this hotel. Only stay here unless you just can’t find anywhere else to stay.
Response: Hi Angela Baca - We are sorry we did not live up to our high standards of exceeding expectations. Thanks for taking the time to provide your candid feedback regarding your experience with Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC/U.S. Capitol. Please reach out to us at https://help.hilton.com/s/contactsupport so that we can investigate further and make this right.

Natalie Martin: The staff was nice and did what they could, but the hotel was overwhelmed and not well maintained. It is unequipped to have more than 1-2 guests arriving or departing at the same time. It also has intentionally inadequate air conditioning. I have stayed at Hiltons in other cities that also have valet only parking. They’ve all had a driveway to pull in and unload your vehicle. This one has only a small shoulder that a maximum of 2 cars can pull into. Everyone else has to just stop in the middle of a busy street. There were no luggage carts when we arrived, left or had to move rooms on the second night. Other guests also told us that there were no luggage carts when they arrived. On the first night the room was consistently hot though we could hear the AC cut on and off. After coming to look at it twice, the maintenance man determined that the compressor in our room was broken so we were moved to a new room (again no luggage cart, we had a lot of stuff as we were traveling with a toddler). The maintenance man explained that the AC units are motion activated so guests will always return to a hot room and it will always get hot in the middle of the night so that’s why it took him so long to figure out that ours was actually broken. This seems incredibly stingy for a Hilton (in addition to being illogical as it takes more energy to cool a hot room than it does to simply maintain temperature). Stay here only if you are a single traveler with one suitcase and don’t mind an 80 degree room overnight and when you return after being out of the room. Other reviews mention how slow the elevator is, that is also true.
Response: Hi Natalie Martin - We are sorry we did not live up to our high standards of exceeding expectations. Thanks for taking the time to provide your candid feedback regarding your experience with our service and amenities. Please reach out to us at https://help.hilton.com/s/contactsupport so that we can look into this further. We look forward to making things right.

Geoffrey D: Parking valet lane is terribly short. Stains on the comforter. Breakfast included not properly advertised on elevator or through hotel. Laid out of first floor is very awkward, why have steps instead of escalator to second floor. Front desk staff were superb. All throughout the stay they were informative, helpful, positive and available! Wait for valet was not long at all, which was surprising. Minor issues, overall decent stay.

David: Very nice hotel - staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The Manager greeted us as we were leaving and just make the stay complete. Nice pool and restaurant - special call out Kevon our waiter for one of our evening meals. Great place to stay - close to a metro stop as well.

Sassy Sauce: The hotel is pretty decent. It met all of our basic needs. It was as clean as I think it should be but the rest of my party felt it was ok. Parking can be a little challenging in the area but we managed. The front desk staff were pleasant and very helpful. I would go back if I needed to.

Chippy McLain: Guest services here should be renamed "guest hassles." Checking in and checking out were lengthy, frustrating ordeals. Paid valet parking was ineffective, slow, and overpriced--and apparently the only option. Showers were inconsistent, with cold winning two out of the three mornings we stayed. One of the two elevators was broken leading to overstuffed rides with no option of social distancing as well as long delays in the lobby. The spa had a new twist: a hot tub colder than the pool. I had hoped for a classy, Hilton experience for my family. I wish I had stayed at a Motel 6. I am thankful that I saw no rats inside the hotel. There were plenty just outside the front door; I assume due to the construction and vagrant tents across the street. This section of DC has some big rats. My littlest did think these were cool; my wife, not so much.

The Jefferson, Washington, DC: what do users think?

Nick C: What an amazing experience staying at the Jefferson! My wife and I got away for a few days and to celebrate the NY! We were warmly welcomed from the first minute and upgraded to a wonderful suite for our stay. The room was amazingly comfortable with all the amenities expected of a 5 star property. Breakfast was top notch at the Greenhouse. To top it off the location was great for walking the city and seeing all DC has to offer! This place lives up to its reputation! Thanks to all of the staff!
Response: Thank you for the kind words! We hope we can welcome you back again soon.

Karen Koller: The Jefferson absolutely delivered a 5 star experience. The service was outstanding and all the little touches like a tv in my bathroom mirror or a stool for my purse went above and beyond what was expected. One of the best here. They have one of the best bar and restaurants I’ve had while staying in a hotel. The Quill and the Greenhouse had wonderful food and drinks ! Service was top notch. Every single staff member went above and beyond my expectation. A must if you are staying in DC ! So many amenities and extra touches.

Thomas Whitelock: It was a great stay from start to finish. The staff was very nice and friendly and tried to make sure we had everything we needed. When we walked up with our luggage the doorman ran out and gave us bottles of cold water, it was 96 degrees that day, it was appreciated. I drank 2 bottles before I was even checked in. One thing that stood out, my wife used the extra pillow from the closet the first night we were there. The next day, house keeping put out 2 extra pillows. That was a nice touch that they noticed and made a change. The slippers were an unexpected bonus. We had room service for breakfast during our stay, one thing, the food does come faster than the estimated wait time, so be ready. I loved the lemon ricotta pancakes. It sounds like an odd combination, it is not. I am not sure it is why I gained 3 pounds, but I am sure it did not help. There are 2 areas that need improvement. The toilet paper, it is not good, it just feels cheap. Also, there is no vent fan in the bathroom and it gets really steamy in there. One is an easy fix, the other not so much.

Raj: The lobby area, the rooms, the library, the books, incredible, impeccably inviting and beautifully laid out and designed. This is the Best hotel in DC without a doubt. Just had dinner, and oh boy, that was something else. Food for sure was amazing, but service, friendliness, and good natured cool warmth of the staff, a whole other level, Katie and John were my servers, honestly, no words. Jefferson hotel is for sure the Best!
Response: Thank you for the kind words regarding your recent visit. We’re so glad you enjoyed your time on property and that you received great service from Katie and John in Quill!

Jonathan Holloway: Our 2-night stay was excellent. The service and amenities from the entire team was great. In the restaurant, we had wonderful service from Abdel and Jorge for brunch and John in the bar. Everyone was very welcoming and provided excellent service.

Mott U D’Potyou: I spent four nights recently. The property is recently remodeled and quite nice. The building is stately. I was told that I had been upgraded twice from my original booking. (I expressed a desire for a room in the front of the building and that led to the second upgrade.) The staff are over-the-top accommodating. They spoiled me with kindness and flattery. After a couple days I found myself refusing the constant offers of service or assistance. So why a three? Well a big turnoff was the restaurant. My “deal” included breakfast. Who wants to run out in the morning searching for something to eat? Besides the pre-remodel restaurant had a Michelin star! That restaurant is no longer there. Currently, breakfast toast costs four dollars (two slices wrapped in a blanket). A frozen bagel is $6. Frozen Belgian waffles are like $19 or $20. I paid $11 for an iced coffee in the bar. I mean the food is very ordinary and costs an arm and a leg. I was told by one of the receptionists that the hotel allows $60 something for these included breakfasts. I guess that includes your tip. To be fair all these “top tier” hotels practice highway robbery in their bars and restaurants, probably figuring that a lot of the patrons don’t want to go out searching for food and drink. Whatever the reason I hate it and feel like it’s abusive. I’m not poor; but, I really have a problem with four dollar toast and an eight dollar glass of juice. And the staff, I came away feeling that they felt enormous pressure to be perceived as pampering the guest. That made me feel creepy. All I ask is to be treated with some respect. Yet I left the Jefferson feeling like the staff would be glad I was gone. They could stop acting.

Schan McLaurin: Went to the Greenhouse for breakfast! Food was amazingly delicious!! Small portion but very tasty. I spent $80 for breakfast and My husband was still hungry.

Sue Swezeny: A beautiful place. Only went for a cocktail stop. The Dreamsicle is a must have. Sweet, refreshing, and a nice jolt of vitamin C in the citrus. Yum!

Lauren Fiabane: From the time we pulled in to the time we left, the people of the Jefferson were exceptional. Katie at the bar. Susan, the historian. Yolanda at reception. Simply above and beyond service, delivered with sincerity and passion for what they do.

Glover Park Hotel Georgetown: what do users think?

Arthur LIEGEOIS: We booked one night last weekend to see the cherry blossoms (that were early this year!). My wife called and spoke to Laura. We were told we would have a king size bed and a view over the city. When we arrived at the desk, we were told that we had a room on the second floor (not so much of a view!) and two queen size beds! The employee was almost rude with us and told us that that’s what we had booked. We didn’t complain much because it was for one night, but we felt like someone had lied to us. The room was clean, the view of the backyards of two houses was ok. The next morning we decided to have breakfast at the restaurant. My eggs Benedict were the worst I have ever had and when my wife complained about her Greek yogurt having a bad after taste, the manager claimed that it was a new container and wasn’t out of date, and pretended she didn’t understand my wife asking her if someone in the kitchen could taste the yogurt. My advice: avoid the restaurant by all means! The main advantage of this hotel is its location, off of Georgetown, and we’ll connected.

Padft12laws2liv: Stayed here 6 nights for business. Gave me an adjoining room. I could hear the adjoining room’s music every night like the speaker was in my room. The last night they decided to blaze it and filled my room with weed smoke. I called the front desk and they did nothing. Slept with the windows open because I had nowhere else to go. Kept finding feathers on my things. Figured out they were coming from the Swiss cheese they call a duvet which they placed between two sheets with no cover. The entire duvet was covered in pin holes with some massive ones scattered throughout. They also didn’t clean the room well as someone’s personal conditioner was left in the shower. You’re better off at another hotel.

Craig Cunningham: I had a little trouble with the cooling and heating system, and the bed made a banging noise when I turned over, and the mini fridge made a strange noise through the first night until I banged on it a few times, but it was otherwise great. (Hotels should provide more than one packet of powdered creamer per cup of coffee, like they do with sweetener.)

Deborah Bacote: I was very pleased with everything. The hotel manager was exceptional. I was stranded in the area from the snow storm there. I really was scared and lost. The manager helped me to find my car and get back to the Georgetown Hospital where my son was admitted. Thank you Tom. I appreciate you and your assistance.

Tim Berry: Room was clean. Overall facility was dated, but ok. IF DRIVING IN and require parking - beware. Parking is in the lower level of hotel, with a VERY LOW CLEARANCE -only 6’2” height clearance. Your full size pick up or SUV could be too tall to clear. Additional parking near the hotel is limited to say the least.
Response: Thank you for the feedback and your business.

Nadine Finucane: I’m a local and stayed here for a couple of nights recently. I just needed a place to crash while my place was under construction, and this hotel served its purpose. No frills, no greetings, no services.. it’s just a crash pad. I wish the sheets weren’t ripped and I wish the furniture wasn’t peeling. I also wish the parking lot didn’t reek of urine (it implies it’s not very secure if people are finding a way to treat it like a toilet). I also wish I had stayed a bit farther away where the parking would have been free, the room would have been spotless, and the employees said hello. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you really just need a basic place in this specific neighborhood.

Olivia Jones: A good hotel in Georgetown that is really convenient for all of your DC needs. The rooms are nice and thick, but nothing too special. The amenities are just OK as well compared to other hotels in the area. A great place to stay overnight if you don’t need to much fluff or frills. Parking in the area is tricky and the garage is pretty expensive at $35 a night. And beware that they will hold a $50 charge on your card for incidentals. The location really makes this hotel great, otherwise it’s not our favorite spot. But it’s for a pretty good price per night.

Hotel Washington: what do users think?

Jacob Lopez (JL): I wish I could give 5 stars! The view was fantastic and the lobby. It’s central to so many activities and restaurants to choose. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s kid friendly. The location is key! The sink was very small, and breakfast needs to improve. The hotel room didn’t have a food menu! When checking in… the concierge didn’t provide me with any information regarding hotel amenities!

Doug Dickinson: Highly recommend this Hotel. The location is perfect, close to all the main DC attractions. The staff was amazing, very helpful and friendly. The rooms were nice and very clean. The best park of the hotel is the rooftop restaurant and bar that overlooks the White House. Went there for a few drinks at night. The music was good and bartenders were great.

Peter Grambs: This is a great property in a great location. Newly renovated and it shows. Room was fantastic (we got a slightly larger King) with great views. Loved the rooftop bar. Front desk staff was great and took an extra moment to find us a room with a view. The location is right in the middle of things - walkable to the mall and all the museums and right across the street from the White House. Lots of restaurant choices nearby too.

James Wills: Stayed for a two day trip to DC sightseeing. Fantastic central location to the Mall. Service was great and rooms were spotless! Definitely recommend! Gym was new and had a range of cardio machines and weights. Showers in the room were very funky to! The roof top bar provides great views across the White house park opposite.
Response: Thank you for staying with us! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Please come see us again.

Yuhan Wang: Stay here if you can accept its price. The location is perfect. The room is a little bit small, with a super super tiny sink. But you can feel the small details that they provide in the room. One of the staff at the front desk is not very friendly. The room inside is very clean, but they definitely need to clean their windows. I could barely see the outside buildings clearly with that much dirt on the window.

John Haines: The best part of the Hotel Washington is definitely its extremely central location in DC, it is near virtually all the sights. The front desk is not vey good, the three times I interacted with them they barely gave me the time of day. At one point I forgot my key in my room and asked for another and the person at the desk glared at me and gave me the new key without saying a word. The room was fine, although the view out the window was literally staring at a concrete wall. There is also no easy way to find out about the amenities for the hotel, I had to call the concierge multiple times for simple questions like how to order room service or the housekeeping hours. Overall the hotel is fine, but for the price I do not think it is worth it, if you are going to spend 400$ a night on a room you might as well go someplace a little less barren.
Response: Hello There John, Thank you for choosing our hotel for your recent stay in DC and thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We truly value your feedback as it helps us improve for future guests experiences. Please know your experience is not typical as we strive to provide all of our guests with the best levels of service. We will certainly use your comments as a coach opportunity and share with our team. Should future travels find you back in DC, please contact a rooms manager directly and we will ensure your stay is nothing but flawless. Thank you, Cirkya Burgos

Kim Sousa: We booked our stay here for a high end experience. Due to the hotel hosting large wedding parties, guests were disrespectful with their noise level to the point that it woke me up out of a dead sleep and the noise went on passed midnight. I called the desk and they sent security which appeared to only make guests even more disrespectful. Then a second wedding group had well over 10 people in their room and were cheering and being so loud even in the hallway. After my first complaint to the front desk it took at least 2 hours until the noise was finished. When we spoke to the manager the next day he gave us 50% off that night of our stay ($250– we are talking a $500 per night room plus tax). He also added that noise after hours is considered 2am…. I think that is pretty late for a high end hotel. To top it off, when I got home I noticed a really nice expensive leather bag I never even took out of my suitcase during my stay, went missing. The only people alone with my suitcase during my entire trip was housekeeping (i brought a small carry on suitcase). I called the hotel lost and found as soon as I got home and the hotel said to call the next day at noon because housekeeping did not claim anything into lost in found yet….. The hotel itself is a work of art, staff were friendly (for the most part), and location is near most museums and monuments. But locked up your things and hopefully you are a party animal. Pretty disappointed since it had been a really long time since I travelled for leisure.

Generator Washington DC: what do users think?

Yidan Zheng: Stayed there for three nights and it’s really good!! The staff are so nice and friendly. They allow free late check out at 12pm. And the lobby is so comfortable. They have pool and gym and they also offer bike rental for only $14 for a day! The location is good with the bus stations. The only thing is the king bed is actually two twin sizes beds but I am okay with this! Thank you for providing such a good place to stay!!!
Response: Hi, Thank you so much for the great review!! We are so happy to see that you enjoyed time here with us!

Jasmine: Not a hostel for socializing, but it is very elegant, clean, and innovative! Hands down one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. It’s basically a hotel with bunk beds. The shower and toilet was in the room and is set up exactly the same as a hotel. Bunk beds have a light, charger ports and cute little framed pictures of US presidents. Sheets and pillows were extremely comfy. Bikes available for rental. Cafe on-site that closes at 2. Great place to stay!!
Response: Hi Jasmine, Thank you very much for the review! We are happy to see that you enjoyed our dorm rooms!!

Ras Sammiedread - DJ Morefire: Was in DC for a business trip with my wife and have to stay the night and finish up next day. Booked the Deluxe King Suite online and check in was smooth with Brittany at the front desk. Room and bath was very clean. Garage parking was a real test for my maneuverability skill and thought was a little expenses($40) for garage fees. We really loved our stay and peace of mind regardless. Will definitely again for sure.
Response: Hi, Thank you soo much for the great review! We are happy to see that Brittany made your check in smooth and that ypu enjoyed your stay here with us. We hope to see you again!!

Chelsey Birgisdóttir: TL;DR I would only stay here as a last resort. I would not recommend this hostel. Positives: +Great location near DuPont Circle. +Allan the manager is great and super responsive. Some of the other front desk staff were hospitable and respectful. +It’s clean! Negatives: -The beds are super uncomfortable. I think the mattresses are SUPER old. They sink in the middle. The sheets do not fit the bed and keep coming off during the night. - There is one INCREDIBLY rude and disrespectful receptionist. She was the one working when I checked in at 7am on 4/28/2022. Not only was she very unhelpful, she was having an attitude with me. She cut me off when I was speaking. She was being short with me as well. Fortunately the issue with my reservation was resolved (once I contacted Allan) but honestly my interaction with her tainted my whole stay there. I felt extremely uncomfortable approaching the front desk whenever she was working there and would wait till the afternoon staff was in to ask for anything.
Response: .

Eric Sullivan: It was a pretty 2 star experience. While checking in, we were told our room was not yet ready for another 30-45 minutes. Understandable. After sinking deep into the middle of the "deluxe king," I realized it was two twin beds strapped together. Parking was good. Good location.
Response: Eric, I am sorry to read that you were not totally satisfied with your accommodations. Thank you for your positive reflection regarding our parking facility and location. We hope you will consider another stay with us in the future.

Daniel Liestman: We thought the price was right and it was. But I recall a lot of nickel and dining with added fees. The parking garage system for both entering and exiting is a challenge and the parking spots are impossibly tight. Once you have parked, good luck wending your way back up. The amenities were slim to none. The room was small, but we loved how it was decorated—anything but typical!
Response: Hi Daniel, thank you so much for the review. We are sorry about the parking. We do hope that you will give us another try one day.

Hotel Hive: what do users think?

Jennifer Cordero: Perfect for a short stay with a small party of people. The atmosphere is warm, fun, cozy, and comfortable. I LOVE the decor. The Hive exemplifies efficient use of space, and accommodations are readily available. Carlos was a big help for us and went above and beyond expectations, bringing us a compact mini fridge directly to our room to keep some leftovers in when we asked if we could store our food anywhere. The bar has a lovely atmosphere and the drinks are top notch. The bartender we had was awesome and I wish I got her name. I intend to stay here any time I visit DC because I loved everything about it. Can’t recommend it enough!
Response: Hi Jennifer, Thank you for your review of Hotel Hive! We are so happy you enjoyed the rooms and Carlos was able to assist you with having a great stay. We certainly hope to see you again soon! Best, The Hotel Hive Team

Leigh Jacobs: Highly recommend staying here! 11/10! Great location, staff is so nice and accommodating. Coffee, pizza, bar and rooftop onsite (what more could you ask for). Room was spacious enough and clean! Brooke was so helpful and recommended local restaurants. Walking distance to Georgetown, Washington monument and much more. Only micro feel I got was from the elevator- if you are claustrophobic take the the stairs ha! Can’t wait to come back! Thank you for a great stay.
Response: Hi Leigh, Thank you for your amazing 5-star review!! I appreciate you taking the time to write us a thoughtful review. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. I appreciate you recognizing our nice and accommodating team! It's great you took advantage of our local restaurants and convenient location. We can't wait to host you again on your next trip to DC! Safe travels, Brooke

robert whitmore: Huge Disappointment. Stayed Thur 5/12 - Mon 5/15. Reception area tiny and had to wait outside since there was no room in the lobby to wait and we were told we could not wait in the bar area. The bar is the worst - no brand names at all from Makers Mark down to Coke products. One person working the bar that was nearly full. The room was small, bathroom tiny, no iron, no coffee maker and not even a closet - instead a hook on the wall with 2 hangers and a box to put things in and roll under the bed. I hung my tux on the shower wall. Walls are paper thin and you could hear the next door guests. The only food at all was at the adjacent pizza place, The hotel is not close at all to any other restaurants.. We order on Sunday and we were told only 2 types (out of the many on the menu) were available- plain and white and absolutely no toppings. They were bland and room temperature. There is NOTHING boutique about this hotel.
Response: Hello Robert, Thank you for your honest feedback. I am extremely disappointed to hear about your recent experience with us. This certainly does not represent the experience we pride ourselves on and are accustomed to delivering. Behind our Hive Bar we have local DC spirits to bring the neighborhood inside our doors. Please feel free to ask the front desk for items such as an iron and board, luggage racks, extra hangers, etc. All of our rooms are different shapes and sizes with different in-room features. We can accommodate requests such as a room with a closet if we are aware ahead of time. We understand our microhotel concept is not for everyone, but thank you for trying us out! Safe travels, Brooke

Woody Coley: Style and visual interest does not have to be expensive. Well conceived boutique property with touches missed in larger hotels. Compact, but functional rooms. Perfect location. Active rooftop, look forward to the elevator ride!
Response: Woody, Thank you for your thoughtful review! We are so glad you found value in our microhotel concept and enjoyed our clever design. We love to focus in on detail and those special touches! Thank you for staying with us and we hope to see you again on your next trip to DC! Safe travels, Brooke

Maria Jose Valero: The hotel was more than expected! Very practical, sparkling clean, parking just a couple blocks away for 24$, and the staff was amazing! They give us great recommendations of places to eat and visit. Also don’t forget to visit the bar and eat some pizza! We got the jalapeño Margarita and a rum punch with maverick and American honey Pizzas and we’re amazed!
Response: Hi Maria, Thank you for your review of Hotel Hive! We are so happy you enjoyed interacting with the team and got some great bites at &pizza. We hope to see you again soon! Best, The Hotel Hive Team

Alec Augustine-Marceil: Very good rooms if you are traveling solo, and need to be downtown. The bar is nice and the staff are happier than the average front desk people. Would stay again.
Response: Hi Alec, Thank you for your review of Hotel Hive! We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay. We certainly look forward to having you stay with us again! Best, The Hotel Hive Team

Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC: what do users think?

julie c: We just spent the weekend here and loved the entire experience. The room was nice, clean and stylish but the people are the ones who made it a great visit. We were greeted by any employee we came in contact with, by name when they knew it. The bartenders were great, remembered our drinks from the first night, took time to converse with us despite how busy they were. We will gladly return on our next trip to DC.

Kimberly W.: Our family has celebrated many special occasions at this property. The entire staff, especially Nicole, are the absolute best! They always remember us and provide the most impeccable care during our visits! I highly recommend this property, the ambiance and amazing staff ensure we always return!

Joe J.: Most likely the best hotel in Washington DC. The experiences are top notch, from the brunches on Sundays to the ambient spa treatments, this hotel is the epitome of a 5 star hotel. Definitely check it out!
Response: Yusuf, thank you for taking the time to share your rating!

Aisha Lynette: After the sudden illness and transition of my father I needed a staycation. The staff at the Four Seasons was absolutely incredible. My every need was met. Kudos to the team.

Sharon Walker: Learned they offer spa services.and that the all you can eat buffet is on Sundays only between 11am and 2pm.

Aaron Grey: Celebrated wedding anniversary with Sunday Brunch, and it was absolutely great! So much variety, great food, great service...just everything was great!

Dasha Zhukova: Full disclosure: I have worked with Four Seasons for some time but this was a personal visit for my family and I. I had high standards and Marc and his phenomenal team did not disappoint. Housekeeping, concierge, reception, and dining were all top notch. Their team had done their research on me and my family from my many other stays with their properties and applied their knowledge subtly to my stay. They are magicians of the hospitality industry and set a standard for others to aspire to.

Brian Peddie: Great drinks and service. Iconic bar with a lively but professional setting.

Residence Inn by Marriott Washington, DC/Capitol: what do users think?

Mohamed Aburadi: I had a fantastic stay at the Residence Inn in DC/Capitol. I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and amenities in the rooms. The ladies at the front desk were very kind and extremely helpful. They explained everything amazingly and made our stay very enjoyable! The hotel was within walking distance from the main attractions. I highly recommend this location and will return to this location in the future.

Elizabeth Long: Very nice hotel, excellent location and amazing value. Check in was a breeze and staff was super friendly. Breakfast is great even during Covid times, they still have a full hot breakfast. Parking can be tricky but we found a couple of spots upon our late night return.

Jenny Teng: Conveniently located that we could walk to our points of interests in DC. Great value for our stay of 3 nights. Room was clean and spacious. Due to a tall building across the street, our room was a bit dim even with all lights on. Nice staff and good service. Breakfast was good.

James Stewart Jr: Landed in this hotel as part of a larger group reservation, and only because somebody else canceled. I hit the jackpot! Prior to arrival spoke with Louise (I believe), manager who assisted me with an issue with reservation. Could not have been any more helpful ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Checked in on 5/14, clerk Jackie I believe, just PERFECT, polite, helpful, parking tips, just a great asset to Residence Inn ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Room-Top-Notch! Full size fridge, microwave, dishwasher, plates, utensils, big screen TV, strong water pressure in the shower, zero complaints⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great, free, hot, buffet style breakfast too! 12 minute walk to US Capitol building. Highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Serelle Taylor: Check in was smooth, easy and staff was friendly. Our room was clean. Thos hotel is so close to everything. I would 100% stay here again with family and kids. Easy access to National monuments, transportation and restraunts. My son enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was good. I was hesitant from reading previous reviews, but I can assure you our stay was great!
