Residence Inn by Marriott Washington, DC Downtown: what do users think?

Alyssa Sciannella: The room was perfectly clean and had everything we needed. The staff was kind, friendly, and helpful when we arrived. We were given clear instructions about self parking, which was helpful. The breakfast was better than expected, and had gluten-free options to accommodate my food allergy. At check-out, the doormen were kind enough to stack our belongings on a rolling cart and bring it out to my car without us having to ask. They really went above and beyond to make us comfortable.

Brent: Great hotel. We stayed in a suite which was great value! The room was clean, love the small kitchen which was useful! The location of the hotel was great - really close to the metro station and the staff were super friendly. The downsides of the the pressure of the tap sink wasn’t strong, there wasn’t a kettle or teabags and no bathroom robe was provided. Otherwise would recommend.

Kelly Adon: I'm just wrapping up my weekend in DC and had to leave a review for this Residence Inn! This operation is a well oiled machine, everyone has a job and executes that function perfectly and then goes above and beyond to make an experience for the guest. The breakfast ladies have all been spectacular, Elaine especially. She is a picture of true hospitality. Each person I run into has a smile and warm greeting and you really feel at home here. This is not easy to do in a city like this and I would 100% recommend staying here to anyone for business or pleasure! Also want to add, the hotel is in a great location within walking distance to many restaurants and the National theater. It is also on major bus lines if wanting to go that route to get to the museums!

Chris Saslo: Truly appreciate the convenience of this hotel. Staff are always kind and professional. Closet space is a challenge as suits and shirts stick out beyond the doors making the closet suboptimal. They still have not reinstated full maid service yet so you have to ask for coffee, Towels etc. Otherwise the hotel is one of my preferred despite other Marriots in the city having more amenities overall.

Downie Winkler: Everything about our stay was excellent. I've been to hotels that were supposed to be the "best in the biz," and haven't had very good experience with the sound bleeding through the walls, or the quality of the bedding, or the other guests staying there. The staff was very friendly, and we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

Joanne Haney: We had a bit of trouble locating the hotel. Upon arrival the valet assisted us with our luggage. Upon entering the hotel, we were greeted quickly, but given the wrong room. After calling the service desk, a few minutes later a porter came with the right key. The room was clean and spacious. There were large windows witha street view. The kitchen had a regular sized refrigerator and microwave. It had a single serve coffee maker. The beds were comfortable. The shower was stocked with large size bottles of body wash, shampoo and conditioner. The buffet breakfast wasn't as in the past, due to Covid-19. We did have pancakes and scrambled eggs. The only fruit was bananas. The coffee bar was clean and well stocked. The breakfast attendant was very friendly and helpful. Tables were cleared and cleaned in a timely manner. Parking was $50 + tax for valet which is pretty much the only choice. Street parking is difficult to find. The valet crew did a very good job. They were patient and helpful.

Alfonso A. Rivera Cordero: It worth every penny. The included breakfast it was a mega plus. Thanks to the associates that make the breakfast everyday. You deserve all the Credit. The locaction was perfect for our visit to all the national mall. The CVS on the same building was awesome to have. 15 minutes from all the sights and very easy to walk around. The room was phenomenal, the only thing was the touch paint in room you can notice was the wrong gloss and the thermostat was so far from the actual vents area it can get warm enough that bother. But other than that was great stay.

Maggie K: This was the cleanest hotel room I've ever stayed in. There wasn't even dust on the baseboards. The room was very basic but it got the job done. Breakfast was great but the coffee was very weak. All the staff were very kind and helpful. It was surprisingly quiet at night.

Tsukiko: Can not say enough good things about this place. Sheriden is the nicest, most amazing person. She always has pets for my little dogs and I know they make her day. William, Kyle, and Dylan are also incredible people. Kyle is my service dog’s favorite new friend. I’ve never seen her warm up to anyone so quickly. Everyone at the front desk also loves my best friend’s dog Cap. He always gets so excited to see whoever is working when we come down. The staff here are all wonderful people and have helped make the last 9 months amazing.

Tom Burke: ~$150 for the night do we didn't have to drive 1.5 hours back home after the event. Room seemed clean, but could've had better lighting. Rate included breakfast - nothing special, but good. Walking out the door was a bit confusing due to the double hallway (the building is a narrow wedge, due to occupying two adjacent roads on a traffic circle. Parking was interesting - you've got to drive around the block to enter subterranean parking, and there's a staff member that punches a code to let you in. When checking in, there is really only 1 spot in the lobby parking, so that was a bit nerve-wracking. Overall good night, tho. Staff was very friendly.

Residence Inn by Marriott Washington Downtown/Convention Center: what do users think?

Carrie K: Honestly, I'd I could give more than 5 stars I would. Everyone was incredibly kind and made us feel like we were coming home. The breakfast was nice, but again the wonderful staff helped put it over the top! The valet was helpful and convenient. They let us pack our car and keep it garaged after our checkout so we could finish out our day again. The rooms were cozy and large. I felt like I got much more than what we paid for. Our family will definitely be staying here again!

Kristina. Lumapas: Overall everything was great from check-in to checkout. Room was clean, bathroom felt luxurious and kitchen was fully equipped. The only downside was the bed size. We booked a room with king bed and what we got was a queen. We reported this to front desk and they insisted that it was their king size bed. I couldn’t be wrong with the size since we have a regular king bed at home, not even a California king bed, and theirs was just too small, I’m very sure it was a queen. If you’ll get assigned to room 1010, don’t expect a king bed, it’s just too small. My husband slept on the couch since me, our preschooler and him couldn’t fit.

TL S: had such high expectations based off the reviews. 1st room had massive amounts of hair on the bathroom floor I could barely stomach it take the pictures. I showed the front desk, and the rep was very nice and moved us to a better room. HOWEVER, it was just better with more space, not really cleaner. The bathroom was in need of a good scrubbing, because of mold in the shower, and corner of floor, the room curtains we falling, and the carpet was filthy. Does anyone inspect? Or do quality control on room cleaning and write up the lack of care and maintenance that is needed for basic upkeep? I would hate to see their homes. It is the 4th of July weekend, so most rooms are booked, so I had no choice. I had to clean the room to stay in it for our trip. I didn't want the housekeeping to do any touching of our stuff. I didn't want to have to re-clean over her lack of attention to detail. Free breakfast was boring with only turkey sausage, bacon and some biscuit with cheese. No variety. No waffle iron or French toast. If you want more then there is the expensive restaurant with limited choices i can say I will not EVER stay here again.

Nicole Laskin: Highly recommended. Really enjoyed our stay here. Came to DC for the first time, and loved the convenient access to the green line metro. It made it very easy to navigate the city. The room was clean and plenty of space for just the two of us. Price is reasonable for a big city. Would recommend and definitely would stay again.

Matthew: On night 5/6 and the service in this hotel has been better than some 5 stars I've stayed in. The authenticity and warmth from every employee I've interacted with has exceeded my expectations. Bravo to your supervisors and leads who manage the front line. This exceptional service is due to y'all! The towels did smell funny tonight, and y'all know the view of the dumpsters sucks.

MR. MiIosz: Disappointed. I was really excited to stay here as the hotel is fairly new and the pictures looked really nice. However, this hotel has not been kept up well. Many stains on the couch and the bedside table had many scratches.Have stayed in older hotels that had better upkeep. Their measurements are also off. Their standard suite was NOT 471 sq feet, maybe 371 and the bed was a Queen not a King. Dishonest! If they were honest about the room and bed size, it would be a 3 or maybe a 4 but the false advertising needs to be noted.

Albert Wu: Modern, new looking, well designed business hotel just adjacent to the convention center. All of the staff is very friendly, nice, and efficient. Pillows are fluffy. Beds are comfortable. I had a satisfying stay to visit relatives for a few days at this hotel. Rooftop access is very nice. The scenery on top is not exactly spectacular but it feels good to relax in the comfortable furniture and enjoy outdoor air on rooftop. A lot of TV options in the room. Somehow casting from iphone doesn’t work. The website mentioned in the instructions doesn’t work. A technician tried to come to help but I think it is a website issue and not a hardware issue in the room. Breakfast area is cozy and breakfast wait staff is highly courteous. However, the breakfast food variety and quality is not better than in lower end hotels though.

Chyna Westfall: We had a great stay while in DC. We stayed for 4 days. The room though a little dated was very clean and housekeeping was awesome. The staff were very accommodating and welcoming. Complementary breakfast had a good selection. We did not try the restaurant. Being located on the 12th floor directly under the fitness center was a minus because we could hear banging from the equipment throughout the night. The fan on the HVAC system also never shuts off regardless of how you adjust the thermostat and the room seemed to always be hotter than the thermostat was set. Overall good place to stay though!

Mauricio Flores: Hotel is located in a very good location, rooms are wide and open, but they have some issues that I will number as follow: 1. They limit you on your Air conditioner thermostat, your AC won’t go down in temperature more than 72-73ish. How I know that?, I travel a lot and have with me 3 different thermometer which I position in different places in the room, and they never came down in temperature of 72 F, When I have set my room’s thermostat at 65. I pay for Ac and they limit your temperature to save $10 2. Curtain’s shower smelled like mold or not clean. That’s a -3 points for me. 3. Room’s Tv won’t work, It was resetting every 30-45 seconds itself. 4. Parking is about $50 per night. Otherwise, breakfast was serve as every other Residence Inn in the country.

Residence Inn by Marriott Washington, DC/Capitol: what do users think?

Derek Kruger: Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a place. They compare hundreds of booking websites and normally will have prices much cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is one of the most well known in this area. I've been coming here for a very long time. If you stay for a few nights you for sure won't regret it. I had a fantastic stay at the Residence Inn in DC/Capitol. I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and amenities in the rooms. The ladies at the front desk were very kind and extremely helpful. They explained everything amazingly and made our stay very enjoyable! The hotel was within walking distance from the main attractions. I highly recommend this location and will return to this location in the future.

Mohamed Aburadi: I had a fantastic stay at the Residence Inn in DC/Capitol.

My Desk C.O.: A good place to stay at for a while. The rooms are perfect; everything from a pull out couch to a stove, very high speed internet, great views, and more. The employees were very nice also. There is free breakfast, but there are not a ton of options. It was good though. The location in Washington I personally wasn't a fan of. A pro could be that it was very close to the subway, but a con would be that just walking to blocks the wrong way and you can be in a shady area. Overall, this Residence Inn was a great experience.

Elizabeth Long: Very nice hotel, excellent location and amazing value. Check in was a breeze and staff was super friendly. Breakfast is great even during Covid times, they still have a full hot breakfast. Parking can be tricky but we found a couple of spots upon our late night return.

Alex Aquino: Good room size, location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Had 3 requests during 3 night stay and all promptly handled. Dropping a star for a few issues like sandwich breakfasts for 2 of 3 mornings, no ready coffee in the lobby, no reserved parking spot even if we're paying for parking.

Paul Booth: I will say at the outset that the manager promised to comp us a night (out of our two-night stay) due to the problems we had and she followed through on that promise. There were hot water problems in the bathroom. We had no hot water in the shower/bathtub and the sink hot water was barely a trickle. Someone did quickly come to take a look. It turned out that the ring that indicates hot/cold on the bathtub was installed backwards. Later that evening, though, we felt something snap in the faucet and it no longer worked smoothly. The gentleman who came theorized that the hot water line in the sink was clogged. He said he'd leave a note to have that replaced the next day, but that didn't happen. The air conditioning did not work. We had it set to the lowest temperature, but it got nowhere close. The alarm clock was a piece of junk. The button to set minutes was broken as were the USB charging ports. Back to the bathroom, part of the baseboard was coming off. There were stains on the walls. Part of the ceiling had blistered paint. Breakfast was advertised as ending at 9:30. I would expect that if I dilly-dallied and rolled down there at 9:20, I could get breakfast and not rely on the kindness of my family to give me their cast-asides. I did better the second morning. The breakfast staff did not. They were rolling things up at five after 9. Fortunately I hustled through and was able to get something. My nine-year-old daughter said, "This is the worst hotel in my whole life!" This was certainly close to the worst hotel experience I have had within the U.S.

Jenny Teng: Conveniently located that we could walk to our points of interests in DC. Great value for our stay of 3 nights. Room was clean and spacious. Due to a tall building across the street, our room was a bit dim even with all lights on. Nice staff and good service. Breakfast was good.

James Stewart Jr: Landed in this hotel as part of a larger group reservation, and only because somebody else canceled. I hit the jackpot! Prior to arrival spoke with Louise (I believe), manager who assisted me with an issue with reservation. Could not have been any more helpful ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Checked in on 5/14, clerk Jackie I believe, just PERFECT, polite, helpful, parking tips, just a great asset to Residence Inn ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Room-Top-Notch! Full size fridge, microwave, dishwasher, plates, utensils, big screen TV, strong water pressure in the shower, zero complaints⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great, free, hot, buffet style breakfast too! 12 minute walk to US Capitol building. Highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Serelle Taylor: Check in was smooth, easy and staff was friendly. Our room was clean. Thos hotel is so close to everything. I would 100% stay here again with family and kids. Easy access to National monuments, transportation and restraunts. My son enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was good. I was hesitant from reading previous reviews, but I can assure you our stay was great!

Residence Inn by Marriott Washington, DC/Dupont Circle: what do users think?

Totana Mi: Cannot say enough about the entire staff! So courteous and helpful the entire six days of my stay. Great breakfast, too. As for the location, we had access to the farmer's market on Connecticut, the metro and Georgetown. Georgetown was about a 20 min walk, which was fine for us, as we love to walk. Felt secure going out after dark, even at 2 am to take the dogs out to pee. Underground parking was good, too. Hughly recommend. Will definitely stay here again🙂

Edgardo Honda: The property is worn out. It needs a top to bottom update. The beds are very soft provides no support and out backs hurt in the morning. The a/c is motion sensitive and it stops cooling at night and woke up sweating. The bathroom toiletries are cheap. Other Marriott hotels have very nice toiletries. We even found a roach. I love Marriott hotels and go out to the way to stay with them buy this one has been forgotten by the company.

Kurniawan Fahmi: The hotel located near the office, DC Metro in Dupont Circle, qnd the moat important thing is halal food restaurant ... less than 5 minute walk. Visit this location on May 2022 The American beeakfast provide variance of bread, eggs, beverages, and 1 fresh fruit. The service is good. Room is large, equipped with large tv, microwave, kitchen utensil, and large refrigerator. But they do not provide daily cleaning. Hotel also provide guest laundry in 4th and 8th floor. The staff namely Mauricio explained me in detail on how to operate it. And provode the coin change.

Aubrey Peterson: My parents stayed here while visiting, and it was an easy, central location. The room was clean and spacious, and we had a nice time enjoying dinner together inside the room when our reservation was cancelled due to a windstorm. I also called in regards to blocking rooms for an event and the head of sales, Robin, was so kind and warm. She really made my day and was exceptionally helpful!

Haf A: The Staff were excellent and made our stay very comfortable. We had a specialty vehicle and Muricio assisted to where we can park safely out back. Karen was great with hotel extension. Seviye was very friendly and felt I had family there. The Hotel is near everything, especially coffee lovers with several options. Food Galore of different types in the area of your favorite food or Discover new favorites as I did.

Zorina Pop: 5 days no cleaning service, pullout couch was unusable, stained sheets, noisy pipes. Great front desk service. Great location.

Residence Inn by Marriott Washington Capitol Hill/Navy Yard: what do users think?

Annie Lazarski: My family's stay at this hotel was fantastic all around, but I want to highlight the staff in particular. Each morning, they are constantly refilling and tidying and cleaning the breakfast area as guests eat. (As a side note, the hotel had oat milk as a non-dairy option. This is incredibly rare, and a very thoughtful consideration) Outside of breakfast, the desk staff is incredibly welcoming and warm. They have responded to each ask and request for ideas in the area. They've directed guests to the nearest metro stop and given other suggestions as well. Each time we came across a staff member in the hall, they were more than kind, asking if we had everything we need and doing so in a human way. This staff deserves to be paid much more fairly - they are doing the work that actually matters. They are the reason my family and I have chosen to stay at this hotel AGAIN rather than any of the other options in the area. They are truly what sets this hotel apart. Because guests tend to stay here for longer periods, it's more important for the place to feel like home than if it were just a stopover hotel. The staff truly make this the case. I look forward to every interaction I've had with them. And I hope they're being compensated for it.

Jessica Poku: I enjoyed my stay. Full service apartment hotel. Lots of storage and great lighting. Good options for breakfast and nice location. Service was average though, none of the staff were warm or pleasant, except for the bellmen/doormen. Also no recognition or upgrade for Titanium elite. They also posted my stay wrongly and generated an incorrect folio. I left some items there that I intend to collect, and I’m hoping they take care of them in their lost/found till I can.

Ashley A: The hotel from the start was wonderful everyone was kind and very helpful. The complimentary breakfast was very delicious, I totally recommend the waffles, the rooms were clean and everything was organized, there was nothing wrong with the room. Good tv, good beds, a nice table A big fridge and freezer. Definitely something not common in all hotels, would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that is planning a trip to DC!

Ana D'Amico: Despite getting stuck in the elevator this hotel is awesome. The kitchen area is fantastic wish I had had more time to use it. Hotel is really quiet even though it's got several bars and restaurants nearby and also the baseball field. Definitely recommend staying here as the location is great if you're in town on vacation

S. Yom: The location is amazing and so close to the stadium. Also I had the nicest experience with valet parking there. The attendant was so nice. Very expensive but that's what you get for the area. Rooms were nice and clean and was great for a business stay.

Niqua Swan: The staff there was amazing. I really love the kitchen staff over all. I forgot her name but truly amazing. If you ever go, This one woman stood out to me. she has dreads and about 5'2 she always ask me about my night and how I felt. She even remember my b.day when I was there.. I appreciate some of the valet attendance. I would recommend.

L Norman: Love the location, especially if you're visiting any area around the Navy Yard. It's within walking distance to the ballpark, the USDOT, and other quick places to eat like Shake Shack, CVS, and Circa DC. The room was very clean and had plenty of towels. The kitchen is actually a kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator, coffee maker, and cups for coffee and glasses for drinks. The bed was super comfortable. I also liked the Paul Mitchell products in the bathrooms and the pump options as opposed to the travel sized kits they usually give. And makeup remove is a wonderful touch as well. You can easily set the temperature in the room and there is also a lot of room with the couch to store your items. Plenty of drawer space. This is definetley a great option for a couple nights stay. Staff is very friendly. Minor cons: The view: I think I'll stay again and try a different view. My view was of office buildings. I saw the breakfast but didn't get any on the last day. I decided to go out because about an hour before it closed it was way to crowded and I prefer to eat somewhere without people scrambling on top of each other. I'd suggest coming when it opens up at 6:30am, but I didn't want to get up that early. Overall always great experience with Marriott. Hope to come back soon!

MarcyRobert Monasky: Clean rooms with kitchenette. Excellent location near bus stop. A great hot breakfast including eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, juice and of course hot coffee. There are also gluten-free options for pastries.

P Russell: Very impressed by this Marriott. Back to the basics with a good solid hot breakfast in the morning (even oatmilk for coffee), dedicated valet parking who are adept to deal with the nearby stadium craziness on gamedays, and it was easy check in/out. Our room felt updated. It's really close to a metro stop and DC is walkable so you obviously don't really need to drive, but if you do it is just under $50 a night extra. We only drove because we had a lot of heavy items to transport to a nearby wedding reception. I think the entrance to the lobby from outside is thru the valet entrance. Bonus, we got a welcome goody bag so I guess they are starting to bring those back to elites again. Or at least this Marriott is.

Dhruv S: Staff was very friendly, had my car in valet for a whole week and they always took care of me! I had my dog there and he very very much enjoyed the stay and The Yards out front made it even more pet friendly! The clean renovated spacious rooms to the AMAZING shower pressure, I have nothing but great remarks for this hotel.

Residence Inn by Marriott Washington, DC/Foggy Bottom: what do users think?

Tracy H: The pros: -Great location to metro, eateries, George Washington University, the hospital, Whole Foods -great breakfast options -comfy bed! Slept great! The cons: -majority of personnel needs a LOT of customer service training! I have NEVER been talked to so rudely as I was at this Marriott! Flabbergasted!! I’ve been exclusive Marriott customer since 1988! This personnel needs an overhaul (not all but most!!) -needs a remodel (lobby has current decor), but the rooms and hallways - EEK!! Very dark, dim and dank. Furniture is large and bulky, very 1980s-1990s feel. -breakfast is quickly put away, and depending on who is manning the breakfast, it may or may not be refilled or refreshed 30 mins before closing it down. I’m simply talking coffee here!! Unacceptable! Very rude when asked about refilling coffee urn! -bathroom was ridiculously small! Room spacious, bathroom - barely room for one, quite awkward set up ***main tip*** Lock up everything of value in your room or take it with you!! Hopefully your safe works (ours did not). Unfortunately, there seems to be at least one bad apple in a position that has access to keys! Be advised! I would not stay here again.
Response: Thank you for your recent feedback. We do apologize that you were unhappy. We thrive to give all our guests a great experience and we apologize for not been able to provide you with one.

James Rose: Rooms are very spacious. Carpets show alot of wear in the room. Obviously this is an older building but they have done well maintaining it. Staff was very polite and located in quiet area. For the $ I would definitely stay here again. Especially compared to what I pd at other places in DC during my stay here.

Cynthia Vazquez: Great location. D.C.had a winter storm so my friend and I opted to stay in this hotel as we always do whenever it snows while working. It's a short walk from GW hospital. The staff was friendly and nice.. Room as always was neat and clean. Although breakfast doesn't start until 0630, they allowed us to take out breakfast because we need to be at work by 0630. What a great way to show us we mattered. Thank you so much for an excellent service. I always recommend this place to our co-workers.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to review us. We appreciate the feedback and hope to welcome you back soon!

Ron Milkowski: Great location to GWU and Foggy Bottom Metro stop. Room was spacious. Bathroom was small but it served its purpose. Breakfast was not very good. Seemed like everything was pre made and warmed. Made my own breakfast in my kitchenette seeing Whole Foods was a 5 minute walk away. I found the team to be nothing but nice. No issues whatsoever. On-site Parking is tight. Only a few spots available in their underground parking. Call ahead. Would recommend Foggy Bottom Residence Inn and will be staying there again.
Response: We appreciate you sharing your feedback and hope we have the opportunity to host you again in the future!

KevAly Ferrero: Rooms were clean, close to everything, Good breakfast options and very friendly breakfast staff (especially the new guy (sorry didn't get his name) and Tiffany (front desk) is awesome. She is knowledgeable, helpful and has a great personality for greeting new arrivals and for the duration of your stay. The only improvements we would suggest is better lighting in the rooms and definitely better air conditioning in the rooms and in every part of the hotel. The air conditioning works but for us we like it colder.
Response: We appreciate you sharing your feedback and hope we have the opportunity to host you again in the future!

Carol Aguilar: I have stayed here numerous times. Easy walk to grocery and restaurants. Washer/dryer available and supplies for purchase at the front desk. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is back, now hopefully the evening snack will follow soon.
Response: We appreciate you sharing your feedback and hope we have the opportunity to host you again in the future!

V. D.: Great location, fantastic service at the front desk, clean rooms that made me feel at home. You're a short Uber ride away from all the major attractions. If you're in town for a while this is a great place to post up.

Patrick Walsh: The review below by Tracy is pretty dead on. I'll add - bathroom not stocked with shampoo and not restocked after asking. Toilet didn't flush. Furniture very tired. Marriott ain't what it used to be.

Jason Barrett: The staff all have Aspergers. They are unable to communicate properly and they have no care or concern for the guests. They gave our room away, forcing 4 of us to sleep in one bed and told us to leave our car in a loading zone when they ran out of space. There are tents with transients around the hotel, yelling at all hours and in your face. There is no housekeeping unless you go out of your way to request it. The hotel should be renamed the Bates Motel.

Residence Inn by Marriott Arlington Capital View: what do users think?

Diane McCarthy: Very clean, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast buffet, quiet. The most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. The negatives: No maid service- had to request towels and empty garbage bins at the desk- but they did respond quickly. The parking prices are crazy. You’re paying decent money to stay there, they need to adjust the parking fees to cut the cost atleast in half. I would definitely stay there again.

Dottie “Dottie” Mount: Everyone there was excellent! A very seamless experience and no problems whatsoever, despite the snow and all of the chaos outside. The hotel offers a comfortable experience. A room with a nice view and amenities. In a most convenient location!

Rajagopalan Viswanathan: I am a great fan of Marriott hotels because of their standard beds & Pillows and service. I always chose to book in a Marriott hotel to stay overnight to have comfortable sleep to get refreshed for the next day. I traveled with my family and booked Studio; 2 King in “Residence Inn by Marriott Arlington Capital View”. It’s not worth the money. The quality of the Bed & Pillows is not up to Marriott’s standards. A/C is a disaster, it was installed right on the top of the bed’s headboard and the A/C vent airflow was right in my face. I had a tough time getting sleep that night. The bathroom looks 20 years old and needs to be renovated; Breakfast was ok. On top of $200+ tax /day room, parking fees are additional, Self-parking is $37 & Valet is $42. Overall, $270 for an overnight stay with these standards, is not worth the money. For Arlington stay, I don’t recommend this hotel, rather book some other hotels (Other brands) that provide better comfort and service for half of this price.

Scott Garland: This is an amazing hotel. The rooms are large, nice and quiet. The staff is accommodating. They area is getting better quickly with many nearby dining options and a couple grocery stores in easy walking distance. The airport is very close, and they have a shuttle that goes twice an hour.

Sleater Kinney: Good hotel, very close to all the sites in DC and downtown Arlington. Parking can usually be found on the street, which is way cheaper than paying for hotel parking. Beware of a $100 pet fee! Didn't see that and would consider other places because of it, that's extreme. Staff is nice and rooms are in good shape.

Richard BREAKIRON: I really enjoyed my stay here and will likely make it one of my go to hotels going forward. Nice rooms, great lobby and well above average hotel breakfast. What worked best for me was the great availability to on street parking at a reasonable rate!

Rubén García: They charged me for a smoking fee when I never smoked in the room. Charge was made more than a week after when they made the “discovery” in the room of a “strong odor” do you really expect me to believe this? They are clearly scamming people with these charges. Tried to contact customer service and the hotel and the information is very contradictory and unhelpful. Avoid this hotel at all costs! You don’t want a surprise $250 charge weeks later claiming you smoked there…

TJ Chapman: It was just ok. I mean the customer service was on point but the rooms are a tad dated. The room they gave us when you ran the shower the water for the tub was also running causing an enormous amount of water in the bathtub, gross. Some of my towels were stained and the room temperature was on the lowest setting but pretty humid. Yusuf was extremely friendly and had great rapport. It's time for Mariott to do some remodeling though. This location is in a main area and needs the upkeep.

Tiffany Pinckney: Absolute Perfection! Lourdes at the front desk is so amazing! The Customer service, breakfast, location and rooms were just the absolute best! I really enjoyed the stay, thank you.

Residence Inn by Marriott Arlington Rosslyn: what do users think?

bEp pen: Excellent location only minutes to Rosslyn Metro station. About an 8-10 minute walk. Starbucks and Safeway are very close and within walking distance. Nice neighborhood. I got a one bedroom, and it was perfect for our family of 4. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff was accommodating and friendly to any needs we had. I will stay again.

Promiti Ghose: We had a great stay at the Marriott as we usually too. Only noticed that their breakfast options have reduced greatly and not a lot of variety. Otherwise it is still maintained and clean. The maintain vivid restrictions as much as possible but mask wearing is not compulsory in common areas

Endeavor Aerial Photography (Endeavor UAS): We spent two nights at this Residence Inn and would definitely stay there again. It's located very conveniently to the Rosslyn Metro station as well as a Target store and Starbucks (if the need arises). As some of the other reviews mentioned, the hotel is showing its age in many cases. Chipped paint on the doors, the metal trim was peeling from the light fixture, and some other assorted things. However, the room was clean and was ready for us even with an early arrival. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Again, I would not hesitate to stay at this location again.

Mike Berg: We have stayed with Marriott pretty exclusively for over twenty years. The Marriott quality is definitely not what it used to be, even for a Residence Inn. Went to bed early, looked up and noticed there was a black streak across the ceiling where the air vent is blowing. The dust (I hope that's all it was) went from the vent to the opposite wall and collected there. In the morning I went to fix a cup of coffee in the Keurig and we only had 4 decaf pods. OK, I'll settle for tea...four packs of decaf tea that looked like they had been around a while, torn packages and stained labels. OK, I'll shower and go downstairs and grab a cup. Nope. The shower mixing valve was broke and the water was either scalding or ice cold. By the time I got back that evening the water was fixed and a nice note from George who had repaired it while we were out. The location is excellent, close to the Metro, and room size is also nice for the area. But the whole building is way overdo for a refresh. I also understand (still?) the reason for only getting our rooms taken care of every four days is because of COVID, but the prices haven't come down any with the decrease in service. The staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. This is not a reflection on them, as I feel this is more of a corporate problem. Probably trying to "add shareholder value".

Ashish Gupta: Location: This hotel is right across from Washington monuments. Really convenient. I kept my car parked at the hotel and took the train to DC to see attractions. Rosslyn train station is about 4 minutes walk from the hotel Parking: Parking is paid and costs about $25/day. Pretty standard for all hotels in the area Staff: Helpful and coureous staff Breakfast: I stayed there for 5 days and all 5 days breakfast was exactly the same. They repeated scrambled eggs and sausage and after a while it became boring. I wish they change things around. Overall good and healthy breakfast if you are staying there for less time Gym: There is a gym but it is small Rooms: Rooms are decent size given the location and the kitchen had everything you would need to cook a quick meal Overall a good option if you want to stay close to Washington DC.

AJ Righter: I've been to a lot of Marriott hotels. This isnt quite the standard I'm used to. For example, a used bottle of lotion in the bathroom, tired-looking/feeling furniture in the room that had a little too much of "the human touch." Nice staff and great location for where I was working though. Easy access to amenities and right across the river from the National Mall.

galleonK: We enjoyed our stay. Customer service and flexibility were beyond our imagination even though they did not deliver a baby crib I've requested in advance. Having a hot breakfast again was great. We will definitely stay there again.

Christian Ardito: The Residence Inn Rosslyn definitely needs some urgent remodeling (more on that later) but offers larger than average rooms for the area, and super friendly and courteous staff. The hotel manager, Ms. Flavia, is very attentive, professional and kind. In addition, it’s the only hotel in the area, among the ones I’ve stayed at so far, that offers smart TV connectivity to watch Netflix and YouTube. Now regarding the need for renovation - the hotel shows its age and need for repairs both outside and inside. The carpets are old, the furniture is old, and the decor is extremely outdated. In fact, every hotel I’ve stayed at in this area is old and outdated but this Residence Inn needs attention more urgently. Having said all that, if you just need a place to sleep, it’s a good option mainly due to the lack of real competition.

Angie Dee: Great place to stay if you’re in town for business. They help with package deliveries. But the staff have to catch up with times on communication. I called with a typical guest request and was met with a lot of “no that’s not possible” but when I pressed and got the right person the restriction was lifted. Also in stead of calling me or chatting through the Marriot App, the staff member emailed me a time sensitive answer that got lost amongst other Marriot emails. I would still give this place another opportunity if need be due to location. Post-Covid Marriot sadly is not what it used to be. Costed me an extra nights stay.

Residence Inn by Marriott National Harbor Washington, DC Area: what do users think?

Derek Kruger: Don't forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your room. This site will compare thousands of booking websites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of my favorites in the area. I've been staying here for years. If you choose this place you for sure won't be disappointed. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is clean, in a great location and the service is excellent from the front desk to housekeeping. Staff members at the front desk, Ryan and Nicole were excellent from check in to check out. Rooms are very nice, really enjoyed the studio suite. Definitely will return to this hotel.

shadow E: Staff at front desk were super friendly when we checked in. Room was nice and a good size. Parking was behind the building across the street. Only bad parts that took a star away was the counter of the kitchen in our room was sticky, we found a few hairs on the bathroom counter and in a towel, and there was no dish soap to wash dishes, only the machine soap for the dishwasher. Would stay here again!

Tina Weiss: I would highly recommend this hotel. It is clean, in a great location and the service is excellent from the front desk to housekeeping. Staff members at the front desk, Ryan and Nicole were excellent from check in to check out. Rooms are very nice, really enjoyed the studio suite. Definitely will return to this hotel.

Noemi Herrera: Stay away! We booked a last minute trip and found this hotel as a pet friendly hotel. We were so excited to take our little furry baby who weighs 6.5 lbs. When we checked in we were informed that there was a $300 pet fee, that is more expensive than the room. We asked to talk to the manager to maybe get a discount as 300 is ridiculous. The manager was not friendly at all and she repeatedly said that it's not her hotel so she cannot change the rules. I work in the hotel industry and I know that as a manager you are empowered to make decisions to ensure guests satisfaction. I asked if we can just cancel the reservations but she wanted to charge us for the cancelation fee. We obliged to stay and pay the 300. We went to Westin hotel and the manager told us that what Residence Inn charged us was ridiculous. If you are traveling with your pets. Stay away . Go somewhere else and you will have a better stay and a memorable trip.

MIB Orthodontics: At check in the staff says to everyone that house keeping us suspended unless you stay 7 days or more. We are staying 7 days , but they still declined housekeeping. She kept saying housekeeping will only clean the room id we are staying 7 days or more… Most good hotels have resumed their housekeeping. Seems like this place does not take pride in hospitality. Either be hospitable or don’t be in the hospitality business.

93svx: The breakfast is great, you have different options each day. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful! The hospitality here is that of a 5 star resort! I would stay here everytime I come to the DC area and always recommend it.

Karl Richards: This is a nice clean hotel with friendly staff. I’m giving the hotel a two star review though because of the noisy heating and air-conditioning used. This is a pet peeve of mine, but I really hate hotel rooms with very noisy heat pumps. It makes it hard to sleep and darn near impossible to have a web meeting in the room without turning off heating or cooling.

Chase Plumbers: If I could give no stars I would. We are staying for 7 days with kids with no house kipping. I can respect covid policies along with lack of people working at house kipping, but their black on white writing sais "at least one house keeping if you are staying 7 days" We called and visited the front desk several times just to be told it is coming and nothing ever happened. On the last night we are being told that house kipping will be performed tomorrow when we are checking out... Really? If you are here on business give it a try, but if you are here with your family, unless you like paying top dollar for their top 10% rates and living like a PIG for 7 days, STAY AWAY!

Carolyn Ballard: My husband and I celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary, and my sister-n-law celebrated her 70th birthday on the same day, March 31st. My bestie of 55 years, who lives in DC, met us and spoiled us this weekend. The hotel staff was amazing, service was outstanding. Every employee so considerate and personal. Location perfect for all we wanted to do!

Olga Bergelson: Horrible experience overall, paid $700 a night for 7 days yet no house keeping, bathroom flooding due to cheap shower curtains, poor service, broken glass yet no one want to vacuum floors and lack of basic customer service. Stay elsewhere or better air bnb as this is not up to par to prices being asked.

Residence Inn by Marriott Arlington Courthouse: what do users think?

M. Serkan Akturk: Great hotel and great staff. I stayed at this hotel with my family for three days and it was a great experience. The location is excellent with all the restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. The breakfast has great options and “Dave” runs the breakfast area like his own kitchen. Thanks Residence Inn for this great experience! Will definitely be back for future stays!

Teri Boland: We stayed for 3 nights and had a great experience. Front desk staff were always helpful, going above and beyond. Room, as well as kitchen, was clean, with lots of space. Comfortable bed-we both slept well, all night long Great shops and restaurants just steps away. So close to Metro, which was perfect for getting to the sites in DC.

Lorrie Landrum: I would recommend this hotel to all. The location was GREAT! Close to shopping, food, transportation and really anything else you would need/want. The staff was very friendly and they took care of anything we needed. We rented out two of the 2 bedroom suites for our large group and they were absolutely perfect!

Andrea Martin: Good location that is connected to a nice shopping area with a movie theater, Starbucks, multiple restaurants, a tailor, barbershop and more. They do not have balcony's or any individual outdoor spaced for the room, but there is a sitting area outside. The pool was broken throughout the entire stay. The room was spacious, the shower head needed some attention.

David Powers: Great location for everything downtown Arlington. Close walk to restaurants. Staff was friendly and Dave served up a wonderful breakfast. I want to take a shower and long black hairs everywhere 😩. So damm gross, not even sure they cleaned the shower after the last guest checked out! Another recent disappointment with a Marriott property 😕!

Yuki Zhou: I rented out 1bedroom suite for my family, it’s fit for family trip.I would recommend this hotel to all. The location was good. Close to shopping, food, transportation and really anything else you would need/want. Breakfast was good, staffs were very friendly.

Vijayakumar Kannan: Stay and food was really good at this hotel. I really felt uncomfortable talking to the front desk employee.I stayed at this place during my business trip to DC. I checked in at around 11:30PM and the front desk person asked me for an ID proof and validated it. Then, he started to asked questions about my profession and salary which I was not interested in sharing with him. He came to an conclusion that I might be an IT guy based my race and started to talk about his silicon valley friends. In middle of this discussion, he started to interact with another person (employee) and asked me to wait for sometime. After 20 minutes of wait time, I got keys to the room and He didn't provide me basic information that i need to know during the stay.

Fei Ding: 4.5 stars Stayed for a family vacation to DC and would recommend. Super convenient location, subway station right at the corner with silver and orange lines, three restaurants right at the back door, and more within walking distance. Friendly staff. The thermostat is the most confusing one we've ever seen. Breakfast and Pool hours are not the most convenient, I guess it's due to covid. If you drive, you may want to check out next door 2100 Clarendon Blvd Garage, it's free on weekends and after 5pm on weekdays. I am not exactly sure whether it's ok to park there overnight, at least I don't see any signs saying it's not allowed.

Carole Goldman: Lovely lobby and check in very prompt. No indication upon making reservations charge for parking. Breakfast very fresh and nice room for starting morning. Area very convenient for sitting outside and walking around.

Hsu-Chao Lai: Good location but that's all. For the breakfast, it is only provided BRFORE 9AM at weekend and 8:30AM in weekdays. Not worth it to get up early for an average breakfast. There are many great stores (Tatte, For Five, etc) offering great brunches at this area. What's worse, the staff greeted everyone else in the restaurant EXCEPT me, the only Asian at that time. It is really disappointing to be skipped. For the check-in process, make sure the person paid shows up with his/her card. My friend maid the reservation and paid online. He had already put my name on notes and also had sent an email to notify the hotel to let me check-in before he arrived. However, the front desk still rejected me because I didn't have the exact card, so she made my wife and I stay at the lobby for three hours until my friends arrived. Haven't seen a hotel that requires the ORIGINAL CARD for checking-in in US. Not Hilton, not Waldorf. ONLY RESIDENCE INN BY MARRIOTT.

Residence Inn by Marriott Bethesda Downtown: what do users think?

Trese Briggs: The staff was very friendly and the room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast spread was nice... eggs, potatoes sausage and pastries. Sad to have to use valet parking but there really is no other option available. It would have been nice if it were included in the cost of the room with an option to tip the attendant. All in all it was a great stay.

mary 0519: Staff is really great. They're professional, friendly, and attentive. I'm here for 3 weeks. Breakfast area is very clean, descent choice of foods, plenty of sitting space. Nice room with separate bedroom. Location is on Wisconsin not quite .25 mile from Bethesda center. Metro almost across the street. Very happy with stay.

Liza M: I love this place. LOVE. You could maybe choose a newer place but that would be a loss. So comfortable, quiet, clean, and also caring staff. I appreciate the details of the spacious rooms, and miss them when we stay elsewhere. Great location. Caring, efficient, welcoming staff. I can’t say enough nice things about this hotel. I wish this was the only hotel I ever had to stay in. Breakfast area and spread is peerless, excellent and kind staff there as well. The rooftop pool (when open) is a delight, so are the views up there, open seasonally.

Joyce Griffin: Very nice and clean. Full kitchen, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, stove, garbage disposal, and large shower gel, shampoo, conditioner in bathroom. All the amenities of a home away from home for a short term. No free parking for residence. Steep at $27 over night. Staying a few days so a bit pricey to me. There was a stale odor on entering room. Staff very accommodating and friendly.

Janet Brown: I've always liked staying in a Suite at the Residence Inn by Marriott...and this was no exception. Located in the heart of downtown Bethesda...it's an easy walk to lots of restaurants and shops. Also, you get a free breakfast every day and free Wi-Fi. I enjoyed the friendly service and the fully-equipped kitchen every Suite comes with. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs to stay for a few days to a few weeks. Excellent!!!

Matt Vilardebo: A great hotel located in a perfect area. I love the rooms as they are large and accommodating. The rooms are always clean and the staff has been top notch. Would absolutely recommend this location.

Mars Salcie-Gautreaux: This hotel is strongly mid. The staff is ok but I’m a titanium elite which is the second highest status and I struggle to understand why my treatment wasn’t better. No one acknowledged my status (they’re supposed to), didn’t get special treatment for it (also supposed to). Our rooms were pretty basic but the cooking wear is really really old. The breakfast was ok, most of the items were very salty and for whatever reason, they hid the wheat bread. I’m used to wayyyyyy better service in 2/3 star hotels. The front desk didn’t explain my benefits. I asked to have my bags held for two weeks (as I come into town every two weeks) and was told no, even though pretty much every other hotel I’ve been to has stated yes, there were no free bottles of water at the front. Also the elevator has been broken for four months and there is not effort to repair it. The location is cool, but I would rather just stay at the Residence Inn in Gaithersburg if service is going to be less than great.

Chris: The Residence Inn Bethesda is very poor. I have been here for a month: - The internet is EXTREMELY slow, and that is WITH the premium internent I get by being a gold member. It is routinely 1-2mbps every night. Unacceptable. - The breakfast is all packaged food and little variety. Nothing fresh at all. On busy days, they run out of nearly half the food. The breakfast staff is extremely nice though! - One of two main elevators has been broken for my entire stay. Reading the reviews, this happens all the time - why haven't the fixed this if it is a recurring problem??? Get a new elevator. - The cleaning service is not daily. It should be. - They need an additional valet during peak hours in the mornings/evenings. Most of the valets are awesome and are working hard. Just think they probably need some help. What's good: - The staff is nice and helpful - The location is good

Wendy C: Sadly this is a barely 3 star review. The hotel was clean, the suite was nice, and the location was great. However, one of the elevators is out of service (for quite some time apparently from other reviews) and the wait times for an elevator could be long. I waited over 5 min standing in the hall for an elevator to breakfast. So add an extra 10 minutes if you need to be anywhere. The WiFi was sloooooooow. It was difficult to stay connected to a zoom call for work - I ended up having to call in on my phone. And then there were multiple people knocking on my door (with the do not disturb hanger on it) the last day asking when I was going to check out, interrupting my work calls. So if you want or need to work - I’d say find somewhere else.
