HighRoad Hotel Washington DC: what do users think?
Simon Cardenas
Simon Cardenas: Friendly staff, good location, beds are okay. Im definitely staying here if I come back
Nora
Nora: I’ve been here last February before the pandemic and I really enjoyed staying here the price so convenient and the staff were so nice and friendly they made sure that I get whatever I needed and they were so helpful and happy to help I honestly felt like home here and this is the only hostel I like among all hostels I’ve been at. Back then they served breakfast every day and there were some activities every week. Somehow everyone I met there was lovely and friendly we had so fun hearing each other stories and future plans. I’m so thankful for this experience. Also about the location it’s so nice there are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops in the area almost one block away. I highly recommend it.
Ellen SC
Ellen SC: Such a lovely hostel. Was made to feel so welcome, like I was coming home. Beds were comfy and hostel was quiet enough to get a good nights sleep but also lots of social areas. Would definitely recommend!
Emily Wakwe
Emily Wakwe: Surprisingly excellent! 👏🏾 Only request is that mirrors or a mirror needs to be in the room.
Lauren
Lauren: Loved my stay at this hostel. The location is beautiful in a very lively neighborhood. A 5min walk gets you to the bus stop. It’s about a 20 min ride to the national mall and DCA. Spacious and clean rooms. The beds were comfortable although very squeaky. I had a room on the third floor and had the bathroom to my self every morning. Very friendly staff. Went out Saturday night with people from the hostel and had an incredible time. If you’re a solo traveler going to DC and thinking about booking any kind of accommodation I recommend this hostel.
Response: Hi Lauren, Thanks so much for a detailed review of the HighRoad Hostel DC. We're so happy to hear you enjoyed our beautiful neighborhood of Adams Morgan, our hostel amenities, and our Saturday night event, Bar Night! However, I'm sorry to hear that your bunk was squeaky. I can say with confidence that our beds are typically not noisy. We will do a spot check of the beds first thing tomorrow to ensure all beds do not squeak!! Please let us know if you have any other suggestions for us! We are always looking forward to guest comments to improve and provide the best service and experience for our guests. Safe travels and see you soon! -Miyuki at the HighRoad Hostel DC Team
Camryn King
Camryn King: My stay was AMAZING! the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating! All of the general areas, bathrooms, and my room was extremely clean and up to par. I really really loved staying here. I would suggest to anyone who may think about staying in a bigger room with more beds that your privacy may be worth the little extra fees. I stayed in a 14 bed mixed gender room and I don’t have any complaints, I just think I would prefer a more expensive room next time for more privacy 😊
Jeff Martin
Jeff Martin: This hostel is awesome! I’m a teacher, I brought 15 students here. The staff was incredibly responsive, helpful, prompt, and professional in advance of arrival. We were greeted by staff and shown to our rooms in a very welcoming manor. They were nice to me and my students. The showers are clean. the beds are very very comfortable and do not squeak when you turn over in them. The vide is hip and fun. The location is in the heart of the fun to be had in Adams Morgan. I will definitely recommend this hostel to others and will definitely plan to come back (without students) to have fun with this hostel as my home base!

Days Inn by Wyndham Washington DC/Connecticut Avenue: what do users think?
Kelly Cunningham
Kelly Cunningham: The reviews do don’t do this place justice. It was great for the price! The room was extremely clean, beds were very comfortable, and it had everything we needed for our stay. Yes, it was a little outdated, but you’re not paying $500 a night to stay here. Also, parking is only $25 a night On Fridays and Saturdays. Sunday-Thursday have free parking. There is no full continental breakfast, but there is coffee and muffins.. BUT, you’re in DC go enjoy breakfast at a good diner!
Response: Dear Kelly, We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your time with us at Days Inn Washington DC, and we're happy that our clean, comfortable accommodations left a positive impression on you. Please come back to visit us again the next time you're in the area!
Lauren Klos
Lauren Klos: Although the hotel didn’t seem like much from the outside, the lobby is very nice and well-kept and the staff were very friendly. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. I liked being able to walk to restaurants nearby and being in the city itself (instead of having to stay in North Bethesda for a similar rate). The one downfall was the nightly $25 rate for self-parking in their open garage.
Response: Dear Lauren, We are thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed your stay at Days Inn Washington DC. We agree; there is nothing better than a great staff and comfy bed to return to after a busy day, so we are happy you were impressed. Should your travels bring you back to the area, we hope you choose to stay with us again.
Phil Miller
Phil Miller: It’s a Days Inn. Can’t expect a lot. It was inexpensive and room 410 was clean. It is within the DC square. That is a lot. People at the desk were great. No breakfast, no microwave and no refrigerator. The only breakfast restaurant close is a Burger King. Old building so bring your own wall plugs etc. We will make it work because of the location and cleanliness.
Response: Dear Phil, Hearing from our guests is essential as we constantly strive to enhance our guest experience, so thank you for reaching out. Though it was a pleasure having you, and we are pleased to hear you enjoyed our convenient location and friendly staff, we regret that other areas of your stay fell short for you. Rest assured, your concerns are valid and will be addressed internally as we evolve our services and property. It is our hope that you will consider staying with us again in the future for a better visit.
A. Rosenquist
A. Rosenquist: My son and his friend were supposed to have a refrigerator but they said they didn’t have any due to Covid (?) but then they magically found one when I called and pointed out that we had a guest with a medical need for it. Be aware that they don’t charge the card you reserved with online unless you, the cardholder, are physically standing there holding it— not at all clear in the reservation process and very inconvenient in a city full of college students whose parents might want to pay from another place. It’s near the metro but other than that it’s not a particularly easy or pleasant place to stay.
Response: We appreciated the opportunity to host your son and his friend. Thank you for mentioning our convenient location near the Metro. While our accommodations are not equipped with a refrigerator, we're glad that our team was able to assist you with this request. Please know you can review a full list of our amenities on our website before making a reservation. If your son's travels bring him back to Washington DC, we hope he will return for an even better experience.
Hannah Mench
Hannah Mench: If you’re looking for an easy, no frills, clean, quiet, peaceful, safe place, on a main road, look no further. I stayed for one night just traveling through town and it was simple, tidy and perfect. Disclaimer: the bed was not the comfiest mattress in the world but it was fine, and hey, the lady at the front desk was nice so it balances out.
Response: Dear Hannah, We are delighted to hear we were exactly what you needed on your quick trip through town. From our clean, comfy accommodations to our friendly guest service, Days Inn by Wyndham Washington DC/Connecticut Avenue has everything one could need to enjoy a stay with us. While your bed wasn't to your preference, we're so happy our convenient location and peaceful atmosphere helped make up for it. The next time you're in town for a bit longer, depend on us again for the value you deserve!
Folu A
Folu A: Hotel was like a place that had its great days but now old and falling apart. Four stars for the location and its access to other things. There was a nice bookstore about 10minutes walk and the best coffee shop was just 1minute walk. The hotel itself is 2 stars. You can find cleaner places to sleep for same price or thereabouts. I was to spend 2nights there and even for such short stay, I couldn’t stay the second night. Staff was ok.
Response: Dear Folu, Though we are an older building, we do our best to maintain a high level of comfort. We're glad you still enjoyed the convenience of our location, and we hope for a chance to improve your perceptions the next time your travels point you in our direction.

Motel 6 Washington, DC - Convention Center: what do users think?
Chris Williams
Chris Williams: Well honestly, when we walked in we gave a small gasp of surprise - it was better than we thought it’d be! (Which is to really say, it wasn’t as bad as we thought it’d be!) It seemed to be pretty clean and put in order, and we didn’t find anything gross or upsetting or anything. Overall it’s just fine, only a bit low quality - but what’s wrong with that for cheap dudes on a one night trip?? The bathroom didn’t have a fan, so I slipped and but my head trying to put on my underwear after I got out of the shower, since the floor was so slippery (since there was no fan). The room was pretty hot in the evening, and never cooled off; the ac didn’t change anything. When we turned the TV on for some reason the volume was literally all the way up, and of course the volume button on the remote only worked very slowly if you did it just right (needs patience!). Other than that, we found no other reasons for complaint. Would come back again if I needed to save money.
Bruce Carlton
Bruce Carlton: Motel is poorly kept and rundown. Fixtures are loose and falling off the wall. Roaches were in the bathroom. Owner lied about his facilities on a popular reservation site. He listed laundry facilities that do not exit. He listed a snack bar that does not exist. The vending machine was practically empty, and the soda machine was out of order. The ice machine was also broken. There are no refrigerators in the rooms, and TV reception was extremely bad. The only positive was the proximity to the city, but you are completely surrounded by construction. Do not stay here! Repeat, do not stay here!
Alyssa Wright
Alyssa Wright: WORST HOTEL EVER. Would never recommend to anyone ever. Me, my cousin, her boyfriend, and my army boyfriend all stayed here. We stayed two nights. At first we had trouble with the names that were on there so we had to call head quarters. Got it figured out. We payed $418. For that hotel that was way too high. In our room there was tobacco everywhere in weird places. Some crusty stuff on the floor. Sheets had burn holes. Room service came in without us there. In my cousins room there was no drawer in the stand and only one tv channel and they found 3 ROACHES. Went and told front desk. They didn’t care. We even asked for a different room and they said we’re sold out sorry. This place was terrible. No one was friendly. Constant noise. Had to yell and tell someone to turn down their tv. DO NOT GO HERE
Response: Hi Alyssa, We're sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay with us, and we apologize for any inconveniences you may have experienced. We hope for the opportunity to improve your experience with us. Please visit again. Maz #Team6
Alexia Huerta
Alexia Huerta: ***BEWARE BED BUGS*** WORST place ever, booked last week to stay one night for an event @ National Park Stadium. It was over a 2 hour drive to get here and were relying to stay the night. WE checked in, put our belongings away and left to our event. Came back to finally rest passing 1AM and could not even get 1 hour of sleep and SURPRISE we get bit by bed bugs!!! We make the reception aware of the situation and instead of apologizing he seems bothered or offended by making him aware! We asked for a refund and gentleman seemed like we were annoying him. He stated “well it’s too late now can’t go inspect the room” and even asked for “proof/pics” of the bugs. Asked him if he was the manager and after a long thought/pause he said yes. We had to leave and look to stay elsewhere. Keep in mind by this point it was like 2 am already. So disappointed. We did not ask for compensation as a result of getting checked up for the bites and inconvenience of having to stay elsewhere. They should consider themselves lucky…
Addae Hicks
Addae Hicks: Once we got to the hotel, there was a crazy person yelling in the street outside, she wandered into the Motel and started banging on the windows. We told the receptionist and he literally did nothing but look at Woman, mind you we had Highschool students with us and they were terrified. I also have pictures of the beds having cigarette buds all over the bottom of the mattres with residue. It was entirely terrible and nothing was done to fix the issue. We left and got a new hotel. Overall -10/10
Response: After reading your review, we’re disappointed to learn that we fell short of your expectations. We’re constantly trying to improve in order to provide the best guest experience possible, so we appreciate your honesty. In the meantime, we’ll look into these issues and do our best to address them. Thanks again for your time, and we hope to see you again soon. Nancy Y. #Team6

Days Inn by Wyndham Washington DC/Gateway: what do users think?
Brittany Watkins
Brittany Watkins: The reviews on here are a bit extra I think... This is a decent hotel! I stayed this past weekend for the 1st time visiting DC and it was clean and they were very helpful. You have to get your own extra towels and they dnt clean your room until u checkout but it was not a bad stay at all. I will stay again. They have a laundry room and vending machines and ATM in the lobby.
Michelle Casares
Michelle Casares: I rent rooms for our construction crews several times throughout the year. Working with this motel has been THE WORST experience I have had by far. I should have known that a chain that would not allow us to "direct bill" was not trustworthy. They gave us a monthly rate since our crew was scheduled to be in the area for 6 weeks. The project was postponed so our crew only needed to stay there for a few weeks. I asked the motel to charge us the regular rate and credit our corporate card for the remainder. Of course I got the runaround and they are wanting to charge us for time that our crew will not be there. There was no where in any documentation that said we would have to pay for time that we did not use the room. DO NOT do business with this motel. Fair warning.
Scarlett Fascetti
Scarlett Fascetti: The place is really dirty, their were cockroaches in the lobby area. We had no choice but to stay there for one night since we could not get our money back or find anything better in the area. This is not a place that I would ever stay at. I don’t do fancy but I do clean. The bathroom in the lobby was so gross and smelled like throw up that my mother eyes teared and almost threw up herself. I felt bad for my guest and I apologized tremendously. The pool as you can probably guess, close with a cover on it on a 85 degree day at the end of June. There’s nothing I can say that’s positive except the bed was clean, the bathroom in the room were old and gross. We got up at crack of dawn to leave. Pay a little more do research about the area before you go there. Cause the area where it was was just as bad.
Charlie Decker
Charlie Decker: Made reservations on line using hotels.com, it set the wrong date. I made another for the right date and had the original reservation cancelled using hotels, com with a 100% insurance. It was cancelled 15 days prior to check in and they or Days in will not refund the money and hotels.com says they can do anything. On to the staff at front desk , the 2 people I felt to checking in and checking out were great. Very helpful and informative. The rooms are good , the screwed down tv was funny. But after watching the drug deals go down in the room beside my I understand. I would have given a 4 ⭐ but the refund policy is a joke.

District hotel: what do users think?
m.
m.: A little apprehensive going in as price was so good and there was no one at front desk upon arrival. However, turned out to be the perfect place to stay for a one night visit. I lucked into a great room with large windows which gave a perfect view of the street out front. The room was very bare bones but super clean. Bed was OK. TV listing would be nice. AC heat unit was quiet and super efficient. Room even had a ceiling fan. No microwave in room, teeny tiny one in lobby next to 24 hour coffee and tea. No restaurant or gym. Ice machine on second floor. If you are looking to eat on a budget, there is a Whole Foods Market right around the corner (all kinds of hot and cold prepared foods, even pizza.) I will stay here again. Nice lady at front desk works some long shifts!
Ambar Robinson
Ambar Robinson: I enjoyed my stay great staff and clean room. Elevator works and good wifi for work. I would stay again.

Edward A. Gray: Very nice and clean staff was excellent. Location was perfect for me to walk around DC. I would stay here again.
Andrew R
Andrew R: nice hotel in a not busy area that is a good deal near restaurants and convenience store to get you through a DC trip
Marsha Royal
Marsha Royal: No frills but well priced for the area. Walking distance to stores, restaurants and the bus. Helpful staff.

Motel 6 Washington, DC: what do users think?
Suleng Patrick
Suleng Patrick: There’s a first time for everything.. and this is the first and last time I’ll ever stay at a Motel 6. Where do I begin? First and foremost the front desk agent was the best thing about the place. Her spirit and smile is too good to work at a dump like that. The first room I got to smelled like a box of cigarettes. I stood there for less than 5 min and decided that this wasn’t gonna work. I was able to switch rooms with another guest who checked in right after me…being that they hadn’t made it to their room yet. I get to the room - cool. The beds were uncomfortable, walls are thinner than paper, and in the light fixture in the bathroom im just gonna assume the black spots were mold. Also the ceiling in the bathroom is bubbling up. I’ve never stayed in a place as badly as this. I didn’t expect a mansion but I also didn’t expect this travesty. People deserve better since we are spending money to be there. Also, there was a woman who kept harassing people and ultimately fell asleep in the hallway. I believe the police were called but still - management do better.
Ramon Ocasio
Ramon Ocasio: Came to run the rock n roll half marathon. Just needed a room for the night. Very clean staff was very friendly and courteous. Will definitely stay here again
Response: Hi Ramon, We are glad you had a great experience and appreciate your feedback! We look forward to providing your future lodging needs. Maz K. #Team6
Kristy Reliford
Kristy Reliford: Room smelled, our room was not cleaned any of the 4 days we stayed eventhough we ask for it to be several times! Our trash was running out into the floor our toilet was clogged for 3 days before anyone came to fix it the only way we got clean towels was to go get them!!! Horrible experience!
Response: Hi Kristy, On our behalf, we would like to apologize for the inconvenience you incurred while being our guest. This is not our standard, and we take reports of poor service and poor cleanliness very seriously. We are committed to guest satisfaction and appreciate you taking time to review your experience. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Maz K. #Team6
Jason Broughton
Jason Broughton: Standard rooms. Some are spacious due to corner locations. Overall good. People are constantly coming to the location but noise is minimal from experience in being a the location.
Cynthia White
Cynthia White: Do not under any circumstances stay here. The rooms are atrocious. The room and shower conditions are terrible. Characters staying living there. Dark hallways and no amenities.
Response: After reading your review, we’re disappointed to learn that we fell short of your expectations. Ivy City Hotel: what do users think?
Jarrod Schad
Jarrod Schad: Very rowdy location. We called the front desk twice about someone pounding on both our door and windows past midnight. Staff did not address the issue. It took 3 separate requests to get a clean towel on our 2nd night of our stay. They did not drop off clean sheets like they promised either. It was a very poor experience, and we will not be staying here again. I do not recommend. The little you save is not worth the headache.
Natasha Bank
Natasha Bank: Staff was nice and friendly. Clean renovated rooms, towels, bed sheets etc. Will definitely come back if I needed to. Deposits are refundable if you Haven’t SMOKED in the rooms.
Jeannellys Gonzalez
Jeannellys Gonzalez: This place is so trash. Currently staying here, I’ve experienced stain sheets, stained towels, and a dirty atmosphere. Worst part of the night is that there is no noise control. I had to wake up to someone banging on my door. This is a poor quality hotel since I’ve been in DC. If you want a nice hotel and sleep, go to Moxy. This ain’t it

Club Quarters Hotel White House, Washington DC: what do users think?
Amanda Sykes
Amanda Sykes: Super friendly staff!! They upgraded me with my pet to a larger room on the top floor with a view of the park across the street. Technology was awesome - could connect phone to TV. Everything was super clean! They also have water on every floor for the guests! The only thing I can “complain” about is there is no parking available. However, there is a garage around the block for $40 overnight. Last, there is no extra fee for a pet. Just have to sign a waiver. Will definitely stay here again if I am ever back in DC!
Tyler Stalletti
Tyler Stalletti: Staff was friendly but the hotel is of sub-par quality. Entering the room I actually thought it was great but then I noticed some things. The bathroom is small but it was gross as I smelled mildew. The tile flooring and walls in the shower were covered in mildew. Even the bottom of the show curtain had mildew. The bathroom had a drop ceiling which looked dirty and if the shower had mildew I’m sure the tile ceiling had it also. That’s not the worst part, I noticed when running the air conditioner I began to sneeze. I was out all day on Saturday walking dc with no problem. As soon as I went into my room and turned on the A/C I began sneezing. Left for dinner and kept sneezing which was horrible. After a few hours out I stopped sneezing. As soon as I came back to the hotel room which had the air running I started sneezing again. I can’t guarantee it was the air conditioner but their was definitely something in that room making me sneeze. The remote for TV also had white stuff all over it and was also gross. It was supposed to be all sanitized in a clear bag but obviously not. I honestly almost asked for my money back but the staff was so friendly that I didn’t want to.
Samia Muhammad
Samia Muhammad: This hotel 🏨 is best choice to be near from all activities near by such as White House. I highly recommend this hotel. The stuff especially Aline is amazing and helpful she changed my room next day to have a best view. The lounge in second floor has a fresh coffee ☕️. There is a water free.
Wei Hsu
Wei Hsu: We stayed here for two days, and I think I chose the best hotel in Washington DC! The location is great! Close to everywhere on foot. Including White House, monument and some museums! Also five mins away from subway station on foot! The service here is also great! The lobby is clean and make people feel comfortable. Next time when I travel to DC, I will choose this place again!
D Howe
D Howe: Stayed here in May 2022. One of the best big city hotel experiences I’ve had. It’s not fancy and the rooms are basic but they’re spotless, the place is quiet, bathrooms are modern and clean, the staff is polite and helpful. Highly recommend this property. There is a Boulanger in across the street that serves up incredible breakfast items. Right next to a mtetro station.
Ganindu Madhawa
Ganindu Madhawa: Stayed here for a week in Autumn 2017 and cost me around 260$/day just for the stay without meals. Obviously the rooms are comparatively smaller so was the bathrooms. . However it was perfectly equipped with needs for single person stay and I would say the stay was comfortable. The reception staff was so friendly The place is located in the heart of the busy suburbs and just few hundred yards from The White House, Renwick Gallery and a number of free museums. Rooms were clean.

Dc International Hostel 2: what do users think?
Angus Bezzina
Angus Bezzina: I never write reviews, but I feel compelled to write this to warn other people not to stay here. My stay was one of the worst experiences of my life. I can concede a lot given this place had an average review to begin with, but during my time here, I saw more rats than I did people, my food was taken and to cap it off, on the third night of my stay, they booked somebody else into my bed so that when I came back I had nowhere to sleep. I tried calling reception multiple times to resolve this, but they never answered and so I spent the night trying to sleep in the lobby. When I asked them to refund the rest of my stay the next day, they accused me of lying and yelled at me. They still have not refunded the money. Honestly after my experience there I would rather sleep on the street than in that hostel and if it was possible I would give them a negative rating.
Carson Peck
Carson Peck: Similar to a homeless shelter. The service is terrible and the rooms are just as bad. I reserved my room hours in advance and checked in and made my bed. When I came back to my bed that night some guy was sleeping in it. So I said screw it and had to drive 3 hours to my house. You’re better off pitching a tent in the middle of DC than staying here.
Jul Athen
Jul Athen: Good simple hostel. You have everything you need. The kitchen has no cooking options but a microwave. The reception is often without staff :D one bathroom for eight persons..
Louisa Wu
Louisa Wu: You get what you pay for. I stayed with some lovely women which was luck of the draw. Would have preferred if there were lockers for valuables.
Nathalie
Nathalie: First of all, there were hairs on my bed, the bathroom is too dirty...at the night I was sleeping alone and someone opened the door and turn on the light at 12pm, who left some things and took some stuff into the closeth, and I realized he was a homeless then left the room, after an hour he came back and doing somethings in the closeth, I was so nervous, and he prepared a bed next to my bed and sleep, in this moment I decided to take my stuff to go out the room, I didn´t know what to do, because It was at 2am after that I waited on the first floor for 5 hours, no one in there... I saw a mouse and cockroach in the kitchen and when I came out that place, I saw two homeless pleople sleeping outside.
Katsiaryna Ramaniuk
Katsiaryna Ramaniuk: Horrible! 0/5Dirty hostel, with random people just from the street roaming in the common area without even a place booked, the staff is never at his place, last but not least bed bugs!!! Respect yourself, never even come near this place.

Comfort Inn Downtown DC/Convention Center: what do users think?
ajaye b
ajaye b: The hotel is an older building (with the nuances particular to them), however it was perfect for my conference stay, reasonably priced, and very convenient to walk to the conference center with a variety of independent restaurants nearby. The staff members I met (front desk, housekeeping) were professional, thorough, helpful, and always pleasant. I would certainly stay there again, and easily recommend it to others.
Response: Dear Ajaye, It has been a great pleasure having you as our valued guest. We are immensely grateful for your appreciation. We are delighted to read that you enjoyed the friendly service delivery extended to you by the team. Looking forward to the pleasure of serving you during future stays with us. Sincerely, Hotel Manager
Mike Williams
Mike Williams: This hotel was very conveniently located for my trip to DC. The price was excellent, the service was excellent and the breakfast was the best I’ve come across included in the room cost. I will most definitely return! Book with confidence! I want to thank Avvy in the breakfast room for keeping everything super super clean, stocked and fresh. I forge the gentleman at the front desks name but he was awesome too. Well done to the Comfort Inn DC staff. Had a great time. Thank you
Response: Hello Mike, Thank you so much for staying with us and the wonderful feedback. Your generosity in appreciating our hotel staff and the breakfast is very much encouraging. It is our privilege to host guests like you, who makes us run that extra mile towards guest satisfaction. Guests like you are the real ambassadors for our hotel. We will be really excited to welcome you again. Sincerely, Hotel Manager.
Purple Cotton
Purple Cotton: Lovely hotel- perfect location! Front Desk Supervisor very accommodating. Only complaint is breakfast was not well kept and food and condiments kept running out. Breakfast clerk was nice though! I will most definitely return here!
József Gyula Nemes
József Gyula Nemes: Affordable yield close to the center. I am kindly helpful. Rooms are tidy, breakfast is delicious and hearty. What is a bit weak is the wifi that works in the hotel. I had a good time, I will recommend it to friends as well.
Response: Hello Jozsef, Thank you for the stay and the nice comments. It is good to know that you had a satisfactory experience. We will surely address the WiFi strength issue. It is a privilege for us to have guests like you. We are looking forward to your next visit. Sincerely, Hotel Manager.

Washington Plaza Hotel: what do users think?
Kelley Hambrick
Kelley Hambrick: Absolutely beautiful place. All the staff were very friendly and hospitable. We were treated very well. I love that your car is locked secure in the garage every night. Check out time is NOT at the crack of dawn...the only disappointment was the beautiful pool was closed. The bathroom tile was beautiful and clean. Beds were comfy and very clean. Location, I gave 4 stars only because it was a little bit of a walk to get to the museums. But also, it was a nicer quiet area, right across the street from the beautiful Martin Luther Church.
Shannon Dermid
Shannon Dermid: Upon arrival, we were greeted and welcomed so pleasantly. The young lady that checked us in went above and beyond for us after we asked her about some local black owned restaurants. The pool was not open as of yet but looked great! We will definitely return to enjoy the pool and their outdoor bar. The restaurant bar inside the hotel was great as well, the lady bartender was alot of fun. The greeter was always attentive and very friendly when opening the doors for everyone. Parking was so easy, it is a extra charge BUT it is in all of DC hotels. It was very clean and beds and pillows comfortable. This hotel is in a PERFECT LOCATION, right in the middle of everything. This is our go to stay at spot now.
Response: We're delighted you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to having you back soon!
Ted LeBlond
Ted LeBlond: I had stayed at the Washington Plaza about four years ago. Some when I found out last month that I would be in Washington DC for nine days, I obviously made my reservation there. Like last time I was extremely pleased with the service and the hotel. All the staff from the front desk to maintenance and housekeeping are polite and professional. When I had a very minor issue with my shower faucet and I reported it to the front desk maintenance had come up literally within minutes fix it quickly and correctly. The entire hotel is very clean and neat. I had daily housekeeping and I don’t know how they made the bed. It was always so nice and barely a wrinkle on the sheets. I hated to sit down or lay down on it but I did have to go to bed sometime. I got a great rate because it was in the middle of December and also they had a seven day promotion. But one thing I like most about the Washington Plaza is they do not charge one of those ridiculous destinations or amenity fees that seem to be the trend now with so many hotels. I highly recommend this place.
Ios ParosNaxos
Ios ParosNaxos: This during the pandemic. The interior was looking just a little run-down. The room had no microwave or mini-fridge, so you had to rely on room service. But their service was excellent and the food was good. Coffee came in large pots. Lunch was also served but not dinner. Snacks and some alcoholic beverages sold at the front counter 24/7. The hotel also has a a very cozy restaurant, which, at the time, was closed. Everything you need is within walking distance including a 7/11 and dry cleaners, a hair salon and Whole Foods Market. The hotel is also located on the edge of the downtown area, the drug store is a block away. The people living in this neighborhood are A+.

Santiago Suarez
Santiago Suarez: Excellent option, near to the White House and Union Station. A little bit old but very clean and good price. We had an excellent attention from the man at lobby who speak Spanish very well. He give us the chance to do early check in and we thanks a lot traveling with a baby. There is a restaurant and a gift store in the lobby as well as vending machines which is very useful. 100% recommend this hotel.
Alex D
Alex D: We checked into the hotel and went to bed. When woke up, we had bedbugs crawling on us. When we reported it, the employee who said she was responsible for our floor for the past 30 years, told us we were the ones that brought the bugs. The bugs were pointed out to the housekeeping lead, however the manager told us the housekeeping lead reported no bugs were found. I would give the manager five stars. She was great to talk to and gave us our money back. The housekeeping is the group that gets one star. The place was cool, but do yourself a favor and book at the Holiday Inn Washington Capitol. Spend the extra money, it’s worth it.
Aigil
Aigil: I had to change hotels at the last minute so I didn’t stay but they were very gracious and helpful. They did not charge me any fees and gave me a full refund, it is family run and a historic hotel, the interior is a bit dated and could use a clean up but it’s undergoing remodeling so I’m sure it will be fine in the future. The people at the front desk were kind and accommodating. The hotel is a bit rough around the edges but it has charm. Very satisfied with the service, and it has an excellent location

Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC/U.S. Capitol: what do users think?
Siobhan Walker
Siobhan Walker: My stay was amazing. My room was spacious and so clean. The front desk was polite, helpful and very professional. Octavia was awesome. She was most helpful because the hotel I had a current reservation for had canceled my reservation and I had to make a reservation here last minute. She provided me the most outstanding customer service possible even with my frustration from the other hotel. Any questions I had was answered and my stay was relaxing. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
g watson
g watson: Customer service here is EXCELLENT. Very friendly staff - extra praise to the office manager, Reina Munoz and guest agent Janay! Hilton - you should recognize this location and their staff, they go above and beyond their call to make guests feel welcomed and comfortable. All hotel/hospitality should take this location as the example for service. The rooms are clean, and quite comfortable and roomy - this hotel is conveniently located, just a short walk from Union Station. I was here for business and I was delightfully surprised for the work space and seating area. I was also happy to learn their fitness center is open 24hrs...with my stay being business in nature - it is difficult for me to get a work out in at most places, due to the limited hours fitness centers are available. 100% recommend the US CAPITOL location. If you want to feel welcomed and comfortable, stay here!
Angela Baca
Angela Baca: The air conditioning in our room never worked even after they had someone come and fix it. The elevator stopped on every floor. The pool was available but it was foggy and couldn’t see the bottom of the pool because of this. Burned my kids eyes and mine. This hotel is older and not maintained well by Hilton. There are no fans in the bathroom so if you take a hot shower your whole hotel room fills with steam. The people are nice and it is located near a metro. Those are the only two things that are good about this hotel. Only stay here unless you just can’t find anywhere else to stay.
Response: Hi Angela Baca - We are sorry we did not live up to our high standards of exceeding expectations. Thanks for taking the time to provide your candid feedback regarding your experience with Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC/U.S. Capitol. Natalie Martin
Natalie Martin: The staff was nice and did what they could, but the hotel was overwhelmed and not well maintained. It is unequipped to have more than 1-2 guests arriving or departing at the same time. It also has intentionally inadequate air conditioning. I have stayed at Hiltons in other cities that also have valet only parking. They’ve all had a driveway to pull in and unload your vehicle. This one has only a small shoulder that a maximum of 2 cars can pull into. Everyone else has to just stop in the middle of a busy street. There were no luggage carts when we arrived, left or had to move rooms on the second night. Other guests also told us that there were no luggage carts when they arrived. On the first night the room was consistently hot though we could hear the AC cut on and off. After coming to look at it twice, the maintenance man determined that the compressor in our room was broken so we were moved to a new room (again no luggage cart, we had a lot of stuff as we were traveling with a toddler). The maintenance man explained that the AC units are motion activated so guests will always return to a hot room and it will always get hot in the middle of the night so that’s why it took him so long to figure out that ours was actually broken. This seems incredibly stingy for a Hilton (in addition to being illogical as it takes more energy to cool a hot room than it does to simply maintain temperature). Stay here only if you are a single traveler with one suitcase and don’t mind an 80 degree room overnight and when you return after being out of the room. Other reviews mention how slow the elevator is, that is also true.
Response: Hi Natalie Martin - We are sorry we did not live up to our high standards of exceeding expectations. Geoffrey D
Geoffrey D: Parking valet lane is terribly short. Stains on the comforter. Breakfast included not properly advertised on elevator or through hotel. Laid out of first floor is very awkward, why have steps instead of escalator to second floor. Front desk staff were superb. All throughout the stay they were informative, helpful, positive and available! Wait for valet was not long at all, which was surprising. Minor issues, overall decent stay.
David
David: Very nice hotel - staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The Manager greeted us as we were leaving and just make the stay complete. Nice pool and restaurant - special call out Kevon our waiter for one of our evening meals. Great place to stay - close to a metro stop as well.
Sassy Sauce
Sassy Sauce: The hotel is pretty decent. It met all of our basic needs. It was as clean as I think it should be but the rest of my party felt it was ok. Parking can be a little challenging in the area but we managed. The front desk staff were pleasant and very helpful. I would go back if I needed to.
Chippy McLain
Chippy McLain: Guest services here should be renamed "guest hassles." Checking in and checking out were lengthy, frustrating ordeals. Paid valet parking was ineffective, slow, and overpriced--and apparently the only option. Showers were inconsistent, with cold winning two out of the three mornings we stayed. One of the two elevators was broken leading to overstuffed rides with no option of social distancing as well as long delays in the lobby. The spa had a new twist: a hot tub colder than the pool. I had hoped for a classy, Hilton experience for my family. I wish I had stayed at a Motel 6. I am thankful that I saw no rats inside the hotel. There were plenty just outside the front door; I assume due to the construction and vagrant tents across the street. This section of DC has some big rats. My littlest did think these were cool; my wife, not so much.

DC International Hostel 1: what do users think?
Konstantin Lakshin
Konstantin Lakshin: Excellent. Good location that lets you explore the less touristy side of Washington, friendly staff, a wide variety of guests, both nomadic types of all ages and families, from all over the world. Nice kitchen, and a Giant supermarket within an easy walking distance. Clean. Unexpectedly nice, although shared, facilities. Also, you can see that they care and keep working on making the place even better. The only caveat: BEWARE OF TRAVEL SITES that advertise and reserve private rooms that DC International Hostel does not have at this time. Yet, when I arrived there with a single room reservation made through an airline as one of those package/add-on deals, Farid (hostel manager) was very friendly and efficient. He immediately offered me an entire four-bed room. Kudos!
Olga Lucía
Olga Lucía: I highly recommend this hostel for the extremely helpfull staff, cleaness and excellent location, near to a train station, markets and you can go walking to Chinatown and Federal Triangle from the hostel. I could rest well in the bed I had. I had to work quite lot in my staying and I found the most considered people there, and helped me to be safe and seize the time I got in Washington.
Hasan Gunduz
Hasan Gunduz: Worst in America. Stay away from this place unless you want your vacation ruined. Ugly decoration, small rooms, mixed showers, no supplies in the bathrooms, unfriendly stuff. You will feel unsafe here. Not recommended.
Darien Persaud
Darien Persaud: This would be worth more if the rooms were 100% private with nicer accommodations. Its too cramped. - coed bathroom is clean, needs maintenance - poorly ventilated room; roommate was clean but the units are super cramped - plastic beds - gossiping staff could be overheard in the morning - owner FARID was friendly - on site laundry - soda/snack machine I think this facility is lacking from its construction era; its time to renovate. Too expensive for what it is. I was never shown or told about any terrace.
Yumi Violet
Yumi Violet: Where to even begin? This was my first experience ever staying at a hostel. I am really glad I chose Capitol Comfort Hostel. The staff was exceptional. When booking they answered all questions, gave me advice on where to park (parking in DC is a bit of a task), places to eat. Any question I had, they answered. When arriving they were very welcoming and showed my friend and I around the hostel. What I really liked about this place is that there were so many options to chose from, having the female only rooms is a major plus in my opinion, that is the option I chose. The rooms were small but they had everything you would need, I was not expecting linen, but they had fresh linen on the bunks. They had a good sized kitchen and bathrooms. Very clean place. I highly recommend this establishment, respectful caring staff, clean place and super affordable. Other tenants were great also. I was extremely pleased and if I am ever back in DC I know where I will be staying. Thank you so much Capitol Comfort. Thanks for making my trip to DC a little more pleasant.
Ezz Nb
Ezz Nb: Very uncomfortable beds, showers have barely any pressure, very poor customer service, price is low and location is good but spend 10 more dollars and stay somewhere else cuz the place is a DUMP.
Cynthia Onyilimba
Cynthia Onyilimba: After a rocky start due to misunderstandings on the side of my German travel mate they were very quick to make up for any upset there may have been. The staff were really friendly but one was kind of lecherous too sometimes and made comments about my appearance which made me a little uncomfortable. The beds were standard / good for a hostel and it was a very good price.
Jonathan Weber
Jonathan Weber: I was looking for a cheap accomodation at a central place in Washington for a reasonable price - and finally that is what I got when I stayed here. You cannot expect high-class rooms and beds for the price that you are paying here - you get a bed in a dorm (mixed rooms, mixed restrooms, +kitchen) in an "old" house. But: Everything was clean, there were no big problems with the reservation, booking, payment or stay and you can meet nice people in the hostel. The staff was not the friendliest one and neither reservation nor booking/check-in were on a professional basis where you can feel assured that you get what you want at the end. One star less than five for that!

Generator Washington DC: what do users think?
Yidan Zheng
Yidan Zheng: Stayed there for three nights and it’s really good!! The staff are so nice and friendly. They allow free late check out at 12pm. And the lobby is so comfortable. They have pool and gym and they also offer bike rental for only $14 for a day! The location is good with the bus stations. The only thing is the king bed is actually two twin sizes beds but I am okay with this! Thank you for providing such a good place to stay!!!
Response: Hi, Thank you so much for the great review!! We are so happy to see that you enjoyed time here with us!
Jasmine
Jasmine: Not a hostel for socializing, but it is very elegant, clean, and innovative! Hands down one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. It’s basically a hotel with bunk beds. The shower and toilet was in the room and is set up exactly the same as a hotel. Bunk beds have a light, charger ports and cute little framed pictures of US presidents. Sheets and pillows were extremely comfy. Bikes available for rental. Cafe on-site that closes at 2. Great place to stay!!
Response: Hi Jasmine, Thank you very much for the review! We are happy to see that you enjoyed our dorm rooms!!
Ras Sammiedread - DJ Morefire
Ras Sammiedread - DJ Morefire: Was in DC for a business trip with my wife and have to stay the night and finish up next day. Booked the Deluxe King Suite online and check in was smooth with Brittany at the front desk. Room and bath was very clean. Garage parking was a real test for my maneuverability skill and thought was a little expenses($40) for garage fees. We really loved our stay and peace of mind regardless. Will definitely again for sure.
Response: Hi, Thank you soo much for the great review! We are happy to see that Brittany made your check in smooth and that ypu enjoyed your stay here with us. We hope to see you again!!
Chelsey Birgisdóttir
Chelsey Birgisdóttir: TL;DR I would only stay here as a last resort. I would not recommend this hostel. Positives: +Great location near DuPont Circle. +Allan the manager is great and super responsive. Some of the other front desk staff were hospitable and respectful. +It’s clean! Negatives: -The beds are super uncomfortable. I think the mattresses are SUPER old. They sink in the middle. The sheets do not fit the bed and keep coming off during the night. - There is one INCREDIBLY rude and disrespectful receptionist. She was the one working when I checked in at 7am on 4/28/2022. Not only was she very unhelpful, she was having an attitude with me. She cut me off when I was speaking. She was being short with me as well. Fortunately the issue with my reservation was resolved (once I contacted Allan) but honestly my interaction with her tainted my whole stay there. I felt extremely uncomfortable approaching the front desk whenever she was working there and would wait till the afternoon staff was in to ask for anything.
Response: .
Eric Sullivan
Eric Sullivan: It was a pretty 2 star experience. While checking in, we were told our room was not yet ready for another 30-45 minutes. Understandable. After sinking deep into the middle of the "deluxe king," I realized it was two twin beds strapped together. Parking was good. Good location.
Response: Eric, I am sorry to read that you were not totally satisfied with your accommodations. Thank you for your positive reflection regarding our parking facility and location. We hope you will consider another stay with us in the future.
Daniel Liestman
Daniel Liestman: We thought the price was right and it was. But I recall a lot of nickel and dining with added fees. The parking garage system for both entering and exiting is a challenge and the parking spots are impossibly tight. Once you have parked, good luck wending your way back up. The amenities were slim to none. The room was small, but we loved how it was decorated—anything but typical!
Response: Hi Daniel, thank you so much for the review. We are sorry about the parking. We do hope that you will give us another try one day.

Beacon Hotel & Corporate Quarters: what do users think?
June T
June T: Unfortunately, my stay at the Beacon Hotel was very mediocre and this place seems more like a cheap motel because of how outdated all of the appliances are Such as the temperature control, TV, closet door and shower. Cons: There is no refrigerator or microwave in the room, I was told if I needed a microwave I could go to the third-floor and use the communal microwave. There must be something loose in the air vents or maybe outside of my window because I could hear something that sounded like pots and pans banging in the wind, It seems to be coming from the ceiling directly above me but definitely not another guest because the noise was too consistent. I heard this noise at least 2-3 times a minute each day/all night despite not really being in the room during the day time. The bath faucet constantly dripped, Either a couple drops or a constant stream even hours after taking a shower. I had a north facing window, they really need to renovate the windows with double or triple pane to keep out noise from the traffic circle. Lots of angry honking during the day and police sirens at night. I booked a 3 night stay and every morning around 8am housekeeping would try to enter my room (without verbally announcing themselves) even though I had the Do Not Disturb sign on my door. I am from the West Coast, so 8am feels like 5am to me, I’d get woken up *every single morning* of my stay to the sound of someone trying to force into my room against the deadbolt which would put me in a panic until I remembered it’s just housekeeping. Pros: Clean hotel and my room was clean. I really liked the lay out of my room and all the surface space provided. Front desk and housekeeping staff was very friendly when I would see them in the hallways. The coffee from the coffee pods they provide for the machine in room was tasty. Very convenient location, I picked this place because it’s easy walking distance from both Farragut North and West metro stops. Ultimately I would never stay here again because I had so many issues with either noise from outside or inside the hotel waking me up throughout the night. For someone who is a heavy sleeper these things probably will not bother you. After reading other reviews I am definitely going to keep an eye on my bank statements to make sure I get my $150 ($50/day) deposit back. Other reviews mentioned issues with hot water or the key cards, but I did not have these issues personally. Bar and Grill was closed and has been for many many months. Any reviews that are recent and mention the restaurant being open are likely paid fake reviews.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. This is very important to us and we will be discussing solutions with our management team to improve our services.
Mark West
Mark West: An above average hotel but the room needs a little maintenance attention. Wallpaper was pealing off in a few areas and the plug in the bathroom sink was not functioning, had to remove it so the water could drain. A little pricey but due to its location. Restaurant is not open right now. There was no refrigerator in the room. For a room that costs over $200 a night to stay, that should be standard equipment. The staff is accommodating though. We have a late flight so they let us leave our luggage after check out
Response: Thank you for the kind words, Mark! Our team is delighted knowing you appreciated our efforts and service. We always aim to provide our guests with a perfect stay, so we're disheartened to know about your concerns. We will be discussing this situation with our team. We look forward to hosting you again soon!
Ariana Ramirez
Ariana Ramirez: This hotel is definitely over rated. My worst hotel experience ever by far. I am really big on reading reviews before I go places but I took a chance on the Beacon & I absolutely regret it. It was an uncomfortable stay. The staff was very professional and had great hospitality though. The room was very small, there was dust all over the bed side tables and phone. The bed sheets and pillow cases had stains of blood. The filter for the heating was fire hazard filthy. No microwave, no fridge, no ice machine & parking is very expensive at almost $60 a night including tax. If you are out by the time valet leaves for the night, once you return you will have to park out front of the hotel instead of in the underground garage. Oh & don’t forget the hotel fees for things that you won’t even use or that’s closed.
Response: Thank you for your feedback we will address your issues with our team.
Steve Jenkins
Steve Jenkins: We recently stayed at the beacon hotel and corporate quarters in Washington DC. This was singularly one of the worst hotel stays in over 30 years of staying hotels around the world. The list of issues is expansive, and started before check in. So I was traveling for work and booked over three weeks out, as we were flying in from Hawaii after an overnight flight, we requested an early check in at 1pm. The message that we received said they would do their best to help us out. On arrival, the man behind behind the desk was like the soup guy from Seinfeld and insisted that there were no early check ins and that check I was 3pm. It wasn’t that he wasn’t polite, he was just outright rude. On check in we were also advised that’s restaurant is closed, the rooftop bar is closed and there is limited housekeeping due to COVID, despite this there is a $28 daily resort fee 😕. We were the put into a different room. To that which was booked, it’s a standard queen, and was tiny. After clarifying they moved us to a deluxe double double, which was roomier, but was tired and old, with a shower that has water, but no water pressure. Every day the room cards did not work, and resulted in multiple trips to reception to have them reset. Not once, not even once did anyone at reception acknowledge any issue with the room key system, in fact they used all standard hotel excuses about you must have put it near your phone, your credit cards etc etc. the thing is it was soooo widespread and whenever we would be getting a reset there would be a line, it was just unacceptable and avoidable. The 2 lifts in the building are tiny, slow and barely functioning. And finally to checkout, by this point we expected little, and the management didn’t let us down. As we were leaving at 4am in the morning, I went down the evening prior and requested to finalize my account and gain a receipt, so we could just drop keys and go in the morning. I was told this wasn’t possible as the cost of the final night didn’t click in until midnight, so I requested that the reception representative just process it at midnight and then have a printout that I could collect when I left. The reception representative said that as she was leaving before midnight this couldn’t be done and I would have to call down to have this done before I left. In addition the rate on the invoice was more than that quoted, when I showed the reception representative the emails I had received from the hotel, with the hotels email address, she denied that it had come from the hotel, and insisted it was from a third party booking agent. This was the cherry on the very average cake of disappointment that this stay was. I can honestly say that I will NEVER stay in this hotel again, and I would strongly advise that you are better to join the homeless lady at the nearby park, rather than put up with rude, incompetent staff, and unacceptable facilities.
Response: Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us your feedback, Steve. We will have a team member reach out to you about your review.

The Baron Hotel: what do users think?
Chavia Groveman
Chavia Groveman: I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel after reading all the reviews. My husband and I loved the location and our room was clean and comfortable. The front desk people could have been more readily available and present, but other than that, no complaints. It had DC vintage building character!
Elle Decatur
Elle Decatur: Amazing front desk agent. The location is such a beautiful area. The hotel has this historic important feel to it. Our room is small but it’s perfect for two and has a gorgeous view of the cathedral. It’s not fancy but it’s cozy and very comfy here we love it!
Alejandro P
Alejandro P: One of the worst hotels I ever been. From the reception it feels old and filthy. Carpets are disrty and smelly. Rooms are small. Matress were broken. And the worst part is that they stole money from my room! Avoid this plase at all costs! Spend a few bucks more and get a place with no thieves in it.
Nicole Barker
Nicole Barker: DO NOT STAY HERE. Upon arrival to hotel we waited 10mins for someone to come to front desk for check in. The hotel awning is filty and hasnt been washed off in years. While checking in I noticed reservation said 1 night stay. I immediately informed check in rep that we prepaid for 2 nights. After reviewing paperwork rep had checked us in under wrong reservation. Error corrected. Then I was told the Hotel had just re-opened 2 days ago and there was currently no Cable but the cable should be on by the late evening. My entire stay there was NO CABLE/PHONE. The room was extremely small and the carpet seemed damp. There were cobwebs on the middle and lower parts of the headboard. The electrical sockets barely worked. Bathroom water had to run for a few minutes before turning warm/hot. Toilet did not flush properly. The wall paper in room was peeling. Wall basebboards were dirty. One of the Window Blinds was broken. I could go on and on and on. Everytime I addeessed issues with staff I was told staff was new and to contact manager on Monday morning. Avoid this place at all costs.
Lila West
Lila West: The front desk/receptionist was not nice. We had a few questions and they seemed annoyed that we were talking to them. Saw a similar interaction with other customers before us.Would not recommend this place.
Tomas Bergstrand
Tomas Bergstrand: For the price, the rooms surprised in quality. Avoid rooms in 2nd floor due to noise from 1st floor restaurant. 3rd floor was nice and quiet.
Olivier Burggraaff
Olivier Burggraaff: Excellent hotel. Rooms are quite small and there is no breakfast service, but this is clear from the website before booking. Staff were very friendly, went out of their way without being intrusive. Location is fantastic, one of the nicest parts of DC and easy access to the underground.
Tara Noemi S
Tara Noemi S: The hotel was older, but clean and good for the price. The room is very basic, but again just fine for resting and again hotel is at a great location for the full tourist experience. I parked in the street and found parking pretty fast and the metered parking was free after 6pm and all weekend near the hotel, which worked out pretty nice. The elevator is very old and a kind of cool experience if you are brave enough to ride it. My only complaint staying here is that you have to pass a security person and bar patrons hanging out by the security every time you enter and exit the hotel.

Holiday Inn Washington Capitol - Natl Mall, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?
Wei Y
Wei Y: My recent experience at the hotel in mid March was quite pleasant. The room was clean, decor was fairly up-to-date, beds were comfortable (subjectively), and the bathroom was fairly well maintained. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, this includes the cleaning crew (on the 8th floor) who would give you anything you asked for. The pandemic is not over yet, so I liked the idea of not having staff coming in every day. People complaint about the thin wall, water pressure and the train. I did experience all of the above. The thin wall didn’t bother me that much, it’s usually due to loud neighbors. For the water pressure, I just waited for the others to finish their use then take my turn, the place was packed at the time and everyone was taking shower at the same time. As for the train, the hotel unfortunately situated right next to the track so unless you are a heavy sleeper, the noises could bother some of the guests on the east side. We ended up switching to the other side and it was great! The food at the restaurant downstairs was also surprising. The taste and the price were comparable to the nearby places, if not cheaper. A Starbucks was also attached to the hotel but they do close somewhat early. As for the parking, we didn’t have a car, but once I parked at a hotel in downtown Chicago, it was over $100 a night. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and will stay again for sure!
Response: Wei Y, thank you for staying with us and taking the time to share your experience and feedback with us. We hope to see you again.
M B
M B: This was our first time staying at this hotel and it completely served its purpose. First the location - it is across the street from the department of Education and one block from the Air & Space Museum. There is a Starbucks on the corner of the hotel and several restaurants on the same block including a McDonalds. This hotel has a parking garage under it making parking very convenient. Parking fee is charged by the hotel per day and we had in and out privileges throughout our stay. There are two restaurants inside the hotel and a small convenience store next to the front desk. The lobby is more upscale than I thought it would be and staff was nice. We got into our room the first night later in the evening and our AC wasn’t working. We called the front desk and within minutes, a maintenance worker was at our door. He changed out the wall thermostat which didn’t resolve the issue and called for assistance to bring a new AC unit. They changed that out within minutes and discovered that there must be a wiring challenge that would take more time to resolve. They contacted the front desk, got us a new room and they walked it to make sure it was in perfect working condition before bringing us the new key cards. They offered to help us move but we were fine getting ourselves to the new room. This was the only challenge we experienced during our stay and these two maintenance technicians were absolutely wonderful. We forgot to get their names but they were on duty Friday, May 20, 2022 in the late evening. Nothing is a short walk in Washington DC as buildings are huge and the distance is deceiving. Every day we walked more than 7 miles and at the end of each day I walked back to the hotel to pick up the car to pick up my Mom to keep her from having to walk back. All throughout Washington DC, there are bicycles and electric scooters available to rent electronically on the spot to make the walking shorter and to get places quicker. We didn’t use them this time but they are a great benefit if needed. We did not eat in the hotel, but it is wonderful that the restaurants were there if we wanted to. This is a pretty perfect hotel to stay in when visiting Washington DC and we will most likely stay here on our next visit and recommend that you consider it as well. We didn’t take photos of the hotel, but it was very nice, clean, comfortable beds and we felt safe.
Response: M B, thank you for choosing to be our guest. We appreciate your feedback and are delighted to know that you had a great stay. We appreciate your feedback and will be sure to share your comments and feedback with the team. We hope to see you again, next time you are in the area.

Elizabeth Towe
Elizabeth Towe: Just completed a 5 night stay for our vacation to Washington DC and while I struggled to pick a hotel for us to stay at, I’m SO glad I chose this one. From the moment we checked in the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is so clean, the bed was SO COMFORTABLE - like sleeping on a cloud. Huge bonus for us was that they have Chromecast on the TV so you can watch your Netflix and other streaming services. The free breakfast was outstanding. It was different every day and they had such a nice variety of options. Location was convenient and within 30 min walk to National Mall and other attractions. Only a 5-10 min walk to the Metro if you choose to go that route like we did several times as well. I do want to note that the only disappointing thing we encountered was one night we heard what sounded like a band very close to the hotel playing drums and music til close to midnight. We used a sound machine app on our phones to drown out the noise so we could go to sleep. I HIGHLY recommend you end your hotel search now and book this hotel for Washington DC!

Windsor Inn Hotel: what do users think?
Kamila Madejska
Kamila Madejska: We like it so much. We stayed in such a incredible room. Location was perfect. All monuments and relics where max one hour walking distance and 15- 20 min by car including traffic. Nothing. The staff was very kind, and helpful. Hotel offers free coffee, tea and water. They have lovely cat. If we have a chance to come back to Washington, we will choose it with certainty.
Scott Bellows
Scott Bellows: Nice front desk worker. Good location for business meetings in DuPont Circle. Good air-conditioning in rooms, good iron with ironing board on room, and nice pillows. However, no elevator in building, old rooms, thin walls, window looks out at another window of another room, cockroach in bathroom, television did not work. Double charged credit card. Details from online booking did not all make it over to the hotel. But all in all a decent experience.
Dylan Chan
Dylan Chan: Positives: Hotel is in a fantastic location, within walking distance of nightlife locations like Dupont circle and U street. 10 minute walk from the U street metro stop. Very affordable especially for DC and for this area for DC. Felt very comfortable and rustic, if not a little bit dated. Negatives: Parts of the room were a bit dirty and dusty, partly possibly to the age of the place. As mentioned earlier you can definitely feel the age of the place. The bathroom had the toilet and shower and felt very cramped. Twice someone from the front desk attempted to open the door to our room while we were in it, once in the morning even when we put a do not disturb sign on the handle, making us feel a little uncomfortable. Overall: Not spectacular but great value if you need a cheap spot in a great location in DC
Joel Brunet
Joel Brunet: We stayed at this hotel for three nights and the hotel is a little old due to being in an older neighborhood but it’s got a great classic feel to it. The hotel is very clean, has a great cozy feel to it, the staff is very friendly and the location is perfect. You can walk 5 minutes to a small little downtown are with some amazing restaurants and bars to hangout. You can also catch an Uber or ride a rental scooter through the city to the monuments and museums. I highly recommend this place!
Chi KC
Chi KC: A cozy guesthouse on 16th Street which is within walking distance to most National Parks. Reception was helpful and informative. Room was on the upper floor and will be a struggle for guests with heavy luggage. Decor was homely feel and room are spacious. Love the separate sink area with a great granite counter top.
