Days Inn by Wyndham Washington DC/Connecticut Avenue: what do users think?

Kelly Cunningham: The reviews do don’t do this place justice. It was great for the price! The room was extremely clean, beds were very comfortable, and it had everything we needed for our stay. Yes, it was a little outdated, but you’re not paying $500 a night to stay here. Also, parking is only $25 a night On Fridays and Saturdays. Sunday-Thursday have free parking. There is no full continental breakfast, but there is coffee and muffins.. BUT, you’re in DC go enjoy breakfast at a good diner!
Response: Dear Kelly, We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your time with us at Days Inn Washington DC, and we're happy that our clean, comfortable accommodations left a positive impression on you. Please come back to visit us again the next time you're in the area!

Lauren Klos: Although the hotel didn’t seem like much from the outside, the lobby is very nice and well-kept and the staff were very friendly. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. I liked being able to walk to restaurants nearby and being in the city itself (instead of having to stay in North Bethesda for a similar rate). The one downfall was the nightly $25 rate for self-parking in their open garage.
Response: Dear Lauren, We are thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed your stay at Days Inn Washington DC. We agree; there is nothing better than a great staff and comfy bed to return to after a busy day, so we are happy you were impressed. Should your travels bring you back to the area, we hope you choose to stay with us again.

Phil Miller: It’s a Days Inn. Can’t expect a lot. It was inexpensive and room 410 was clean. It is within the DC square. That is a lot. People at the desk were great. No breakfast, no microwave and no refrigerator. The only breakfast restaurant close is a Burger King. Old building so bring your own wall plugs etc. We will make it work because of the location and cleanliness.
Response: Dear Phil, Hearing from our guests is essential as we constantly strive to enhance our guest experience, so thank you for reaching out. Though it was a pleasure having you, and we are pleased to hear you enjoyed our convenient location and friendly staff, we regret that other areas of your stay fell short for you. Rest assured, your concerns are valid and will be addressed internally as we evolve our services and property. It is our hope that you will consider staying with us again in the future for a better visit.

A. Rosenquist: My son and his friend were supposed to have a refrigerator but they said they didn’t have any due to Covid (?) but then they magically found one when I called and pointed out that we had a guest with a medical need for it. Be aware that they don’t charge the card you reserved with online unless you, the cardholder, are physically standing there holding it— not at all clear in the reservation process and very inconvenient in a city full of college students whose parents might want to pay from another place. It’s near the metro but other than that it’s not a particularly easy or pleasant place to stay.
Response: We appreciated the opportunity to host your son and his friend. Thank you for mentioning our convenient location near the Metro. While our accommodations are not equipped with a refrigerator, we're glad that our team was able to assist you with this request. Please know you can review a full list of our amenities on our website before making a reservation. If your son's travels bring him back to Washington DC, we hope he will return for an even better experience.

Hannah Mench: If you’re looking for an easy, no frills, clean, quiet, peaceful, safe place, on a main road, look no further. I stayed for one night just traveling through town and it was simple, tidy and perfect. Disclaimer: the bed was not the comfiest mattress in the world but it was fine, and hey, the lady at the front desk was nice so it balances out.
Response: Dear Hannah, We are delighted to hear we were exactly what you needed on your quick trip through town. From our clean, comfy accommodations to our friendly guest service, Days Inn by Wyndham Washington DC/Connecticut Avenue has everything one could need to enjoy a stay with us. While your bed wasn't to your preference, we're so happy our convenient location and peaceful atmosphere helped make up for it. The next time you're in town for a bit longer, depend on us again for the value you deserve!

Brayana Pettit: By far one of the worst hotels I've stayed in a long time. This is not a place one wants to come to for a nice time. The hotel looks nothing like the images with the exception of the outside! On the second floor where my room was located, felt unsafe. On all 3 nights I stayed was a fight in the A.M & P.M., guests slamming doors, screaming in the hallway, the stench of smoke (Marijuana and cigarettes) filled the hallways. Bathtubs and walls chipping of paint. No microwave, no refrigerator, and coffee maker didn't work. The only 2 reason I gave this hotel a 1 star is because I had to at least pick a star ave because the staff was nice.... other than that it's not worth the money. However I will say it is a convenient location. Close to train station and restaurants
Response: Dear Brayana, Thank you for being our guest in DC and for reaching out. We're sorry to hear certain aspects about our property weren't your preference. We always aim to provide a safe environment for our guests and to have our front desk team ready to assist should they be notified of any issues. It is nice to know you appreciated our convenient location and friendly service. Many thanks for the suggestions for how we can improve. Our team wishes you safe travels.

Folu A: Hotel was like a place that had its great days but now old and falling apart. Four stars for the location and its access to other things. There was a nice bookstore about 10minutes walk and the best coffee shop was just 1minute walk. The hotel itself is 2 stars. You can find cleaner places to sleep for same price or thereabouts. I was to spend 2nights there and even for such short stay, I couldn’t stay the second night. Staff was ok.
Response: Dear Folu, Though we are an older building, we do our best to maintain a high level of comfort. We're glad you still enjoyed the convenience of our location, and we hope for a chance to improve your perceptions the next time your travels point you in our direction.

Days Inn by Wyndham Washington DC/Gateway: what do users think?

C G: The rooms are affordable but needs work. The curtains are dirty and stained. The sheets are dirty. Black mold on the ceilings and in the shower. If you need to make calls there's an additional charge for the phone. The parking is terrible and they recently updated the policy so there's an additional charge for parking. If you need to use the restroom there's no restrooms in the lobby. If you arrive early there's an additional charge for the room if you show up before 3. There's breakfast but the hours for breakfast are basically 7-9:30 so really you might as well just say there's no breakfast. The floors should be swept and mopped. They're swept so they give the appearance of being clean but if you take off your shoes and go shower and walk out without socks or shoes you will find that the bottom of your feet will be black. The location is fairly centralized but you're right off the freeway so your best option is to take the other exit so you can actually get to the street without causing an accident. Long story short it would be in your best interest to find another location altogether.

BriAnna Glenn: Room and bathroom had black mold. It had bugs, such as ants and some type of milipede or centipede. The beds were dirty, so they never changed them before we got there. Breakfast ended early, 7-9:30, what kind of hours is that??? Extra fee to check in early, $20. I'm just disgusted and disappointed. Pool was also shut down with no explanation as to why it wasn't open. I would never recommend, nor will I ever return. Disgusting floors, they had the bottoms of my feet black and I had just walked out of the shower. The sink had something greasy all over it? As if it had never been cleaned. The curtains had mystery stains and holes in them. My God, it had the appearance of a horror movie. Also had water spots in the ceiling, so you can tell water comes into the room often. The walls were yellow, not from the wallpaper, bur just because they are that gross. In certain spots you can tell they used to be white. Just don't freaking go. You also have to pay for parking?? They also rent out the parking lot when they have an inn full of guests. Disgusting behavior. You'll talk to them, and they just continue to look at their phones and barely respond. They will never get my money again.

Brittany Watkins: The reviews on here are a bit extra I think... This is a decent hotel! I stayed this past weekend for the 1st time visiting DC and it was clean and they were very helpful. You have to get your own extra towels and they dnt clean your room until u checkout but it was not a bad stay at all. I will stay again. They have a laundry room and vending machines and ATM in the lobby.

Michelle Casares: I rent rooms for our construction crews several times throughout the year. Working with this motel has been THE WORST experience I have had by far. I should have known that a chain that would not allow us to "direct bill" was not trustworthy. They gave us a monthly rate since our crew was scheduled to be in the area for 6 weeks. The project was postponed so our crew only needed to stay there for a few weeks. I asked the motel to charge us the regular rate and credit our corporate card for the remainder. Of course I got the runaround and they are wanting to charge us for time that our crew will not be there. There was no where in any documentation that said we would have to pay for time that we did not use the room. DO NOT do business with this motel. Fair warning.

Charles Ransom, Sr.: It's just a safe place to stay. Ignore the television - it works, but barely. If you need quiet, stay above the 1st floor. The sheets on the bed show a good bit of ware, but they appear to be clean. Despite the appearance, the bathroom is shower only.

Scarlett Fascetti: The place is really dirty, their were cockroaches in the lobby area. We had no choice but to stay there for one night since we could not get our money back or find anything better in the area. This is not a place that I would ever stay at. I don’t do fancy but I do clean. The bathroom in the lobby was so gross and smelled like throw up that my mother eyes teared and almost threw up herself. I felt bad for my guest and I apologized tremendously. The pool as you can probably guess, close with a cover on it on a 85 degree day at the end of June. There’s nothing I can say that’s positive except the bed was clean, the bathroom in the room were old and gross. We got up at crack of dawn to leave. Pay a little more do research about the area before you go there. Cause the area where it was was just as bad.

T D: Made reservations and then tried to ask for a refund, said because it was prepaid that couldn't happen. Rooms was dirty, service was non existent. Tried to ask for fresh towels and they made it seem like it was a big deal. After the second day I just left all the trash out front with the towels, came back from the days Adventures and stuff was still out there. Only positive was our amazing Uber driver. So I guess don't stay here

Angela Thompson: Decent is the best I can give. We did sleep well. You pay $10 for parking (I'm assuming it pays for the guard for the parking lot that only let's in cars with the parking permit), $100 cash or charge to your card for incidentals which is reimbursed. But the bathroom was not clean. The previous guest's hair was still in the shower. Grime on walls and dirty fingerprints all over the bathroom door. Sink was not clean when we arrived.

Sean Kelly: I can't believe I paid as much as I did for this. It's in a really bad location. It's old. It's broken. My toilet ran all night and flushed loudly all night. The refrigerator was louder then the ac which was still not loud enough to block out all the traffic noise. The curtains are broken and leaves crack people can just look in. I had a bullet hole in the window. The employee are not nice don't care and will not give you a refund. House keeper wake you up at 7am to ask if you are going to check out today. If you need a late check it out it close more money. DO NOT BOOK HERE

Charlie Decker: Made reservations on line using hotels.com, it set the wrong date. I made another for the right date and had the original reservation cancelled using hotels, com with a 100% insurance. It was cancelled 15 days prior to check in and they or Days in will not refund the money and hotels.com says they can do anything. On to the staff at front desk , the 2 people I felt to checking in and checking out were great. Very helpful and informative. The rooms are good , the screwed down tv was funny. But after watching the drug deals go down in the room beside my I understand. I would have given a 4 ⭐ but the refund policy is a joke.

Wyndham Garden Washington DC Area: what do users think?

Eliot Prowse: Neat and clean. Comfortable beds. No carpets in room made it a little loud from doors closing in the hall and people talking, but seemed cleaner than a carpet might. Good renovations but seemed unfinished. Desk was more a shelf not really attached to wall too well, leaking faucet, bathroom door old with rusty hinges. Terrific bath/shower. Breakfast was okay, not like going out to eat but more than just bagels. Outdoor pool was still closed (end of March), small fitness room. Plenty of parking lot space.

Ashok Patel: The best part of the hotel was nice comfy beds and clean sheets but there were so many not so good or average points. Front Desk - Not so welcoming. Took extra long time to give me a room. Checked in at 8.30 pm. Day time front desk staff was courteous. Insects - Found insects on the ceiling. Elevator - Very small and not clean. Hardwood floor - This is better than carpets. Looks clean. However, the carpet in the hallway looked dirty (It may not be dirty, but looked dirty due to its design and dark and light shades). Air conditioning - The separate AC unit was not working. Spent the whole night without AC. We had booked the room for two days. Next day informed the front desk and was fixed immediately. Central Heating and Cooling System - This was actually only heating system. I set the lower thermostat temperature hoping that it will cool the room, but instead it heated the room. The next day front desk staff explained this to me and told me to keep it off. But I already spent the night in heat. Bathroom - Too small. Breakfast - Average. Too noisy. The coffee was the best. Parking lot - clean parking area. Enough parking available. Price - Good price as compared to other competitors. Value for the money - Not the best hotel but you get the value for your money if you are ready to compromise with your comfort. This is definitely not the Windham experience, I had at Smokies, which was the best.

David Johnson: Well if I were to guess, I'd say this was a Rodeway Inn or something like that from about 1972. It's obvious there has been an effort to clean the place up, but it still needs some significant work. The elevator is like a freight elevator with parquet floors on the wall. It barely fit my wife, daughter and I with two bags. The room's door has a very strange gap at the top of the door. It almost looks like the doors used to be fit with those windows above the door that you could open up. The room has no carpeting which my wife was not a fan. The bathroom is small, one at a time. The counter top has been updated and maybe the shower (but not the shower head), but it truly looks like the black mold on the ceiling was just painted over and is starting to bubble up again. There's a strange second air conditioner in the room, and even stranger directions for the original air conditioner. At least the 1972 red heat light in the ceiling of the bathroom still works. The security guard was very nice...? So that's my impression of the place after a half an hour. We haven't had a chance to try the breakfast yet, but they did tell me at check in it would cost an extra $10 per room for whatever reason. If I were Wyndham, I think I'd be embarrassed to put my name on this place, it could be better with some more work. I wouldn't stay here again if I were in the area.

dee Joslin: I made a reservation and called to confirm the pet fee. I was informed that my pet can't be left alone in the room because it'll bark and disturb the other guests. I have a cat and declined housekeeping. Still the same answer. Leaving this review to warn others. I've stayed at other hotels with no problem. I can't bring my cat everywhere.

Bob Steve: I checked in and the room was dirty. I told the front desk and the employee said that I was out of luck. That she was the only employee. She could give me some clean sheets and a clean towel if I still wanted the room. I asked if could get a different room. She then told me they were all booked up and that the last three rooms were on hold for other people. So she said nope. I have stayed at this hotel many times. I have never had this problem before. I don’t know what is up but I really don’t want a dirty room. The employee said I could sleep in my car and I could still get the free breakfast. Lol.

Ms. Denise: It's dark in the lobby, old nasty looking carpet, portable big air conditioner in the room. The room was so unappealing and the hotel parking is on a slanted hill. I would not stay here, was only looking for a guest from out of town. I hate to say it, but it's a ghetto hotel. The outside furniture seemed more inviting than the hotel. They can't put central air in that place and bright lights, and new carpet??? I don't understand.

Chaz Love: This place was a joke. First I was told that it was only 10 minutes away from the airport. When I pulled up I could tell the building was very old. The place had a disgusting odor to it, especially in the elevator. In my room there was a refrigerator that wouldn't stop ticking. The carpet in front of my door was disgusting. The toilet flooded, they had to plunge it. The windows had dirt all over it. It was just a lot and alot of money wasted. I wouldn't recommend at all

Crys JR: Just got back from staying at this hotel. Let’s keep in mind that the hotel has posted at the front that they are individually managed by a local LLC with a license to use the Wyndham name. So lobby, beautiful, breakfast was delicious and staff was okay overall (some were nice and some were stand-off ish). The room was nice, so glad it didn’t have that nasty carpet in the room from the hallway. The maze of the hotel is hilarious and the elevator is tiny. You will have to go outside to get to the lobby. I stayed 2 nights and was still trying to figure it out. There is no closet in the room but we got a miny fridge and microwave which came in handy with my baby and his vegetarian diet. The bathroom was tiny and semi updated. The shower was a task as there is a handle for each temperature and it never quite got to a perfect temp. I just took a cooler shower because I wasn’t about to get burnt. Absolutely loved the mirror in the bathroom. Perfect for selfies! The beds were so comfortable and the tv had plenty of channels. Only issue I had was I kept seeing bugs, my friend said it was roaches but I’m no expert. There were just a few that came out at night . None in the bed, all found around the door or desk and bathroom / kitchenette area. It did bother me and that’s why I gave 2 stars. It was super affordable and location was perfect for us ( 5 minutes or less from 24 hr 7-11 and Walmart, only 30 minutes from BWI and capitol ) so I get what I pay for. Unfortunately, I won’t be back because I don’t do bugs.

Ming: I had a spacious and cosy room that came with all the bells and whistles such as a microwave, a good sized mini fridge, the ironing board, a fancy coffee maker and cute toiletries that are not standard amenities in many hotels. Pity i could not get my fancy coffee maker to work. Front desk staff were super helpful and offered me coffee from the dining area instead and also to have Maintenance come by to fix my coffee maker. But i decided that i had enough of a caffeine fix for the day. Special shout our to Nengy for her exceptionally warm hospitality and help. One thing of note though is that whilst the hotel was cosy and comfy, i was not too sure it was in a salubrious and safe neighbourhood.

Britt Renee: This hotel was great checking in, that was it. Room 253. *Last room by stairs. You hear every person coming in and out, all night long with the slamming door. *Room has NO HEAT!!! Had to use space heaters. *No Comforter, they only provide sheets for beds. *Lobby gets put on lock down after not sure what time, we came in at 10pm after a capitals game, and the security guard told us we have to go back outside and use the side doors to get in to the hotel. Makes no freakin sense. *can't use side doors because our key kept not staying activated. Had to keep going to front desk to do so. * door key doesnt work, and had to get it reinstated 2 times. *broke out in hives over night, not sure if its what they wash the sheets in or what, but horrible...!!!

Club Wyndham National Harbor: what do users think?

Derek mooney: Wonderful rooms. Suite was very nice. Offered amenities like pool table, foosball, ping pong, etc. Very nice options, and was useful as the hotel was slow. But the small space, and limited options, I can see how this would be not useful when hotel is full. View was lovely from the balcony. When in the winter, offered the outside hot tub, which seemed fun! Till you realize they don't offer anything like bath robes, and you have to freeze between the hot tub and not a short walk back to the hotel. Overall, very happy with it.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback! We appreciate your review, and will make sure to improve moving forward.

Sharon Stell: The lobby smells really good when you enter the building. The customer service was great and the room suite was on point. The bed was very comfortable, the space it was set up really nice. I love the kitchen area, I definitely recommend it and would come again. 😃
Response: Hi Sharon, thank you for the positive comments. We are so happy to have you at our resort and hope to welcome you back soon!

Iam GamerMeek: I'm giving one star based on the customer service and their response to what I considered a serious safety concern. I stayed at this hotel this past weekend. The rooms were spacious and the kitchen was fully stocked with cooking accessories. The room had some stains on some of the common area furniture but nothing big enough to make a fuss about. However, while me and my guests were in my room, a stranger gained access. Literally walked into my room. Apparently, the front desk staff gave the stranger the key card to my room. I was told that this stranger shared the same name as me and the associate assumed that that person was me. The front desk called me, explained the situation, deactivated all of my key cards and issued me new cards. They assured me that a manager would be in contact with me. Two days passed and I had to reach out to the manager. The manager said he would investigate and get back to me. What more was there to investigate? A staff member's negligence jeopardized my safety. What if me and my guests weren't in the room? This stranger could have stolen all of our belongings. I expected some type of resolution besides changing my key. It has been four days since the incident and two days since I've last heard from this manager. Based on my customer service experience, I will not be staying at this establishment again.
Response: We're troubled to hear that this was your experience. We want to get you in touch with our Owner Care team to assist you further. Please reach out to us at 855-670-0758 (option 1) and an agent will be happy to help. We are continuously looking for ways to improve, and will make sure to pass along your comments and concerns to the proper team.

Noton Abet: First and, right out front, the people here are AMAZING. It's been two years since we were last here and the service and the people have only gotten better. There's always someone around to ask for help from and each person we've worked with has taken ownership of our request. The room does show it's age but is still clean with working fixtures and appliances. The pools, games rooms and common areas are kept spotless. Our unit is two bedrooms with one en suite and a second full bath. It sleeps between 6 and 8 people when using the pull out couch. Basic WiFi is limited to 4 or 6 devices and trading them out is not something we've figured out how to do, so, I've been using my phone as a hot-spot. The resorts location, of course, is excellent. The time to reach shopping, entertainment, the metro and so on are all very short.
Response: Hi Noton, thank you for the positive comments. We are so happy to have you at our resort and hope to welcome you back soon!

william pittman: Clean, quiet, busy. Lobby is heavily trafficked. Moderately aggressive push to meet with owners despite many statements of no. Aggressive attempts to prove they are no longer aggressive. I need you to forgive me mentality. Not showing awareness that they have not been respectful of your issues and concerns. Very clean rooms. Tangible gifts in the suites. Most staff are very courteous.
Response: Hi william, thank you for the positive comments. We are so happy to have you at our resort and hope to welcome you back soon!

Dave Lawrence: Always enjoy our stay at Wyndham National Harbor. The check-in and check-out process was hassle free. We had a 4 bedroom Presidential Unit…very clean and nice. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to our next stay at this resort.
Response: That's great to hear, Dave! We're so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Club Wyndham National Harbor. Thank you for sharing your experience!

Adriana VH: Has been a home away from home for years. Perfectly located minutes from D.C. a ferry ride into Alexandria and more. The hotel is always amazing. Only downside is we wish they would update their arcade for the kids and adults for those cold days where staying in can still be fun.
Response: Hi Adriana, thank you for the positive comments. We are so happy to have you at our resort and hope to welcome you back soon!

Pepsi Brown: Had a great time staying here for our vacation in Washington DC. Viewing the monuments, museums and other sites was just an Uber ride away. There is plenty to do and see in National Harbor. The room was comfortable for the 3 of us and we had booked the 3 bdrm suite. The staff was professional and welcoming and we enjoyed the extras like wine night and the popcorn. Had a wonderful time staying at this hotel
Response: That's great to hear, Pepsi! We're so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Club Wyndham National Harbor. Thank you for sharing your experience!

Nicole Jefferson: Half way into my stay and the place is great. The service is impeccable. I needed a safety pin and they came up to bring it. Nothing is state of the art but very comfortable. This truly a resort in a resort type area.
Response: Hi Nicole, thank you for the positive comments. We are so happy to have you at our resort and hope to welcome you back soon!

Vilia McClearen: Wyndham is Always a great experience, very reliable, handicap accessible and always willing to help! The national harbor is an easy walk and is full of food and little things to do. It is super easy to get to DC and doesn't take very long unless they're is extra stupid traffic. Thanks for the great experience!
Response: Hi Vilia, thank you for the positive comments. We are so happy to have you at our resort and hope to welcome you back soon!

Days Inn by Wyndham Arlington/Washington DC: what do users think?

Josh Murphy: Assuming one has their tetanus shot, this place is a viable option. For those who are curious , please note this hotel does not offer cleaning and only provides 2 towels for a 4 night stay (requesting extra towels was an hour long process). The room I was assigned did not have AC. Additionally, the hotel breakfast was rather sparse and rather empty despite arriving roughly 15 minutes after it had opened. The lobby staff were great; however, everyone else really did not seem to care.

Romona Outlaw: DO NOT STAY in this dump. I had to spend 2 night here & it was awful. The place is nothing like advertised. The lobby area smells horrible and the rooms smell no better. It is very rundown. Plaster coming off walls, mold & mildew in the shower. The water runs so slow that when you later up it’ll take forever to rinse off. For 2 days we couldn’t even get an extra wash cloth, had to buy our own. Anytime you ask front desk for help they knew nothing. We traveled 4 hours here for my husbands military reunion, so at least we got to enjoy our time away from this place. I’ve stayed in different Days Inn before but this is by far the worst one ever. I’ll be skipping all Days Inn from this point on. The one star was for the comfort of the bed.

Addy S: My daughter stayed here with a group from her college. She found a roach in her bed. She captured it and put it outside. The room was small and dirty. The heat didn't work in her friend's room. I almost booked a room here for myself, but the price was $199 on the website for one Saturday night! So instead, I stayed at a very nice hotel 1/2 a mile away with large rooms/suites for $112. My daughter's group will warn other groups at her college not to stay here!
Response: Good morning Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at Days Inn by Wyndham Arlington/Washington DC. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. We can understand your frustration. We pride ourselves in giving the best possible guest experience at all times, we are sorry that we fell short in this instance. We appreciate the time you took to share your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the future. Kindest regards The Management

Caitlyn Hibbard: Besides friendly front desk service the hotel it's self is easily the worst one I have ever stayed in. Our window was broken and repaired by placing a plastic sheet over it that was glued on, there was a dead bug in the bathroom and a left over raisin in a corner from the last guest. 2/3 of the available outlets didn't work. 2/5 light fixtures didn't work, and one was a black light... Couldn't tell if the carpet was brown or green. The bed seemed clean but I removed the comforter has to I did not trust it, bed was sagging and bearable at best. Pretty sure the door had been kicked down before as there was metal reinforcements along the frame. I think some people may live in this hotel... Front desk said the hotel was at capacity yet there were only 10 cars in the parking lot. These 5 start reviews about this place I would say are probably falsified in some way.

Bhrenda Miranda: It’s very very old, smell bad, carpet has a lot of stains. Not all room has microwave and refrigerator. Staff are rude, they will hang up the phone when you express what you need. We asked for towels they said no more towels and hang up. Water heater takes time to warm. Toilets are not reliable. There’s bugs everywhere. Molds in the wall. Cleaner doesn’t know how to clean well. Electric suckets are corroding. Etc etc.

Sue MacLane: Staff was nice but room was old- internet was spotty. Room temperature was cold and could never get it warm enough to make it comfortable. It had snowed and lot was not plowed. Headboard fell off wall and could have really hurt someone if they were sleeping in that bed. Price offered on internet was significantly lower than price given at front desk. We left early when we got the power back in our house, so did not stay the night.- If you need a roof over your head and want a room that is relatively inexpensive this would work, but not really a comfortable motel. Looks much nicer in the front.

Kari Sloan: BOOK ANYWHERE ELSE! We walked in and immediately walked back out. The room smelled musty/moldy (and my sense of smell is not good so it had to be pretty strong). The window at ground level had a flimsy metal lock and was loose in the frame. If someone wanted to get in, it wouldn't have stopped them. A door a few rooms down was actually busted in. No idea if this was actually broken into or if they were simply in the middle of fixing it but it didn't bode well and of course no refund... oh well, my kids safety was more important.

pdnapora: I asked to switch from a room that hadn’t been cleaned, and I got in quite late. The next room had crayon marks on the walls and green kid’s slime on the bathroom door. No cable tv, and zero channels. Fridge froze all that I put in it. Microwaveless too. The first room had a microwave, because it still had someone’s leftovers in it. It has the feel of a motel that people live in, long-term. Pool was a pond. Front desk was very nice, though. Bus 45 & A5 close by.

Rits M: Its a solid three star Hotel, very similar to most other days inns if you've been to one. This one is a little older and not too much care has been put into its upkeep. Still the rooms are clean and theres hot water Pros Great location to get in and out of Close to a grocery store and restaurants Free breakfast in the morning - eggs, toast, bacon, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, fruit Clean, and helpful staff AC and heat worked really well. Cons Mostly all in its presentation - chipped and peeling paint, sockets which are loose, older beds and hotel equipment WiFi very spotty and not available in most rooms. Best in the main hotel itself.
Response: Good Morning Thank you and appreciated your feedback and time, you suggestions are always welcome to further improve our services. We hope to welcome you again. kindest regards The General Manager

Marcus James: Most despicable place I have stayed. I room is shy of being a hazard. Room was visibly dirty All over. The cleanest thing in the room were the towels. The floor was wet as I walked the floor with only my socks. The room didnt have an A/C or heater that worked. Just downright horribleCity regulations should SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO STAY HERE. PAY THE EXTRA MONEY TO LIVE SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! The service got 2 stars because the desk personnel were polite and the location was ok. Please ANYONE looking to stay here ... DON'T unless you're homeless and need to come in for shelter. Priceline should remove this place as an option.

Days Inn by Wyndham Arlington Pentagon: what do users think?

Gang Cheng: This is a two star motel. The location is very good to visit DC downtown area. The hotel hardware is not in good condition, however, it’s value matches with the price. Several nice restaurants are close by downstairs, which is very convenient. The front desk is helpful.

BLAZE: Room are kinda old but nice and very clean,no bugs. I got lucky I got and inside hall room at a corner. They're not there 24,7. I had to slide my key inside the lobby and then call to check out. No issue qith that. Many places to eat nearby. Fairly quiet. I would book again . It was worth it. Not the best but nice for sure if you're on a budget like I was.

Kevin Russell: It's not a luxury hotel with super nice rooms, pool, gym, etc. But if you're just looking for a place to lay your head, it may be right for you if you are on a budget. The front desk was helpful and nice. I'm having surgery and have to be in town for an additional 8 days. I was told to speak with the manager tomorrow to see if he'll give me an even better rate than they were giving. I appreciate things like that. I had left my phone in an uber and had to use the phone in the room... not great connections, but how often does one use their phone iv the room? Close to Pentagon and other attractions. Good close by that you can walk to. So... worth a shot I think.

autographnut 85: I have stayed at this place many times in the past. I would have consistently rated this a 3 star in the past. Nothing fancy but easy to get where I was going via the bus & train. This stay was awful! Walked in and the floor had not been swept. Then went to the bathroom to find droppings on the floor. Then we left for dinner and came back to droppings on the bed. Told the front desk they seemed to not care. So left the next morning for a different place.

Heather Burtch: Common spaces were shabby and dirty. Outside areas were also looking worn and in need of help. The room seemed clean, shower was good, but the bed was soft and creaky and uncomfortable, lighting in bathroom was dim, only one nightstand by the queen bed, and furniture was worn. No accessible charging places by the bed except for the outlet. Wi-Fi was good.

Annie Zhang: I would give this place zero stars if I could. The room was shabby and smelly and the wifi wouldn't connect. Found hair in the bathroom and stains on the pillows and sheets. The toilet was also making a weird noise. Ended up staying the night at a different hotel and they wouldn't give us a refund.

Fredrick Royster: Clean rooms but very outdated. Elevator seems semi functional. But it if you just need a place to sleep, shower and shave with no frills that’s close to the great Metro public transportation and 2 miles from Pentagon City is great The most amazing part is the incredible mom and pop Thai Restaurant and bar that’s attached that’s been going strong for 35+ years. Great food and drinks and super friendly staff

Travelodge by Wyndham Silver Spring: what do users think?

Paul Larsen: Pros: no bed bugs, the shower head looked newish Cons: Oh my goodness. Not even sure where to start. Was it the rats scurrying around the office? Perhaps the pervasive smell of urine? The fact that it took the front desk 3 tries to find us a marginally acceptable room (no AC or working fridge in one, the second not cleaned)? The lack of hot water in the shower? Exposed wires in the outlets? Cracked toilet? And let's talk about the general run down condition of the property with rust and grime everywhere. This place should literally be condemned. Wyndham should be ashamed to associate their name with this... place. I don't care how good the deal you get is - I promise you will overpay.

Alex Chats: My major issue were the bathroom/sink and overall cleanliness. The tub had marks and what looked like burn stains, it didn’t drain fast, leaving a pool as I showered and the knob was broken and barely worked properly. Additionally, the sink didn’t drain properly. The furniture was coming apart, there was no chair in the room and the paint was coming off of the walls. I appreciate the affordability, but there has to be a way to keep it affordable while being clean and presentable.

Greg Huang: Decent hotel for short stays and those on a budget. Hotel is cheap and decently clean but these are the only pros. The hotel is very old and has not been maintained for a very long time. Bathroom door does not close and many wall outlets do not work. Some weird smells in the room. Sink can take a long time to drain. Front desk staff is not super friendly but will still serve you. I would recommend if you only use this place to sleep for one or two nights.

Kevin S: I've been in tents that were better. The air conditioning was non functioning, lighting and most outlets not working, the bathroom was a tiny afterthought. One redemption was being the end room shaped kind of trapezoidal so the room itself has a little space. THE SHOWER WAS BROKEN. I had to wash in the sink. The place should be condemned.

Johnnell Browne: First and foremost the staffs are not friendly, I didn't feel welcome and they don't smile. I arrived and checked in with 4 bags, there was no one to assist with the bags n I had to walk a distance to get to my room. Secondly the building is poorly maintained, the corridors and walls are very dirty. The room I was assigned to was in very poor condition. There was a hole in the sheet on the bed and the heater didnt work properly. The worse part was when I realized that the shower wasn't working when it was time for me to bathe. I kept calling front desk from the time I entered the room till the next morning and no one answered the phone. In the morning I walk to the front desk to let them know that I was calling from the night before to report the shower wasn't working and all the receptionist said was ok. No one was sent to check the shower in the room. I had to cancel my last night and asked for a refund. This was a very horrible experience, I would not recommend anyone to stay here. I work in the hotel industry for 15 years now and I know what is expected and should be done. No keys should ever be handed over to a guest unless the room has been properly checked by a maintenance and housekeeping supervisor to ensure that everything is ok in the room. This hotel is poorly managed and alot of work needs to be done to raise its standard.

Chandler John: One of the worst hotels/motels I’ve ever stayed at. The room smelt musty when I first walked in requiring me to leave the door open for several minutes-though it did not help. This left me questioning how clean the bed was as well as everything else within the room. Very small, cracked walls, and appliances don’t work well: toilet, mini fridge, etc. EDIT: Woke up to cockroaches…

Wyndham College Park North / Washington DC Area: what do users think?

Alcy Leyva: I enjoyed my stay. The room was spacious enough and the heater was already on (it's winter). The staff was helpful. The tub needed work-- the water was dripping and it had rust on the drain itself. Otherwise the view was great. Not sure I like it when I share a locked door with the room next door. Music was coming through from that room. Not loud music but still annoying. Small things like that hurt the experience.

Tee Laa: I do not recommend this hotel. The hotel looks nice enough but nothing works here. Only one of the three elevators was working, which made wait times extremely long. The TV in my room was also not working. I contacted the Front desk for assistance and instead of transferring me to another room, the staff person had an engineer come up to the room to work on the TV. After he was unable to fix it, we were given a new TV but this in itself was inconvenient because it required lots of banging, unscrewing and installing the new TV which took about 30 minutes. It was 10 o'clock at night and I had just checked in. Once the new TV was set up, I was disappointed to find that there was no cable, and literally 3 channels available. The following morning, I went down to the restaurant for the breakfast buffet. In most hotels, this is included. Not here! The front desk clerk didn't bother to tell me this when I checked in, so I was pretty humiliated in the restaurant after I was stopped mid-plate and told that I needed to purchase a dining voucher. The voucher was $10 and the food was just okay. There was a fridge and microwave in the room, but the fridge did not keep my food cold enough and there was no way to adjust the temperature. The safe in the room was also broken so I could not secure my valuables. One word: GHETTO. I will never stay here again. If you're looking for a relaxing experience without any hiccups, look elsewhere!

Sgt. Patrick D.G. (Airforce Guy): As a military Diamond, I expected to receive exceptional service for my 4 night stay. Everything went smoothly the first night. The second night, the faulty, cheap credit card scanner wouldn't register my credit card. This is the second time the credit card scanner has malfunctioned. I'm so glad to have checked in at another hotel. It was a big inconvenience packing up and leaving. I will be sure to never return to this property. The snack bar has no snacks, the coffee machine is always empty and they don't have high pressure water in the rooms.

Kelly Madden: Worst hotel stay EVER! For starters it took over an hour for them to check us in. Not waiting on other guests, literally over an hour of standing at the front desk getting checked in. The reason we booked this hotel was for the pool, which we were told was functioning. The pool hadn't even been opened yet. The elevators closed on guests, literally I was stuck in between the doors until my son pressed the 'door open' button. I had another guest of the hotel assault me on an elevator and after reporting it, we find out that there is only one working camera in the hotel. Safety of the guests is supposedly Wyndham's top priority, but there was only ONE working camera in the ENTIRE hotel. And no one did anything or attempted to find out who this other guest was. My husband had a light fall and hit him in the head while in the elevator. My husband slipped on the floor where their hired power washing people had dripped water all over the place and didn't bother to put up a wet floor sign. In the week that we stayed there, not once did housekeeping come to our room to even offer for them to clean it. We constantly had to go to the front desk to ask for clean towels, which they rarely had. And the ice machines only worked on two of the nine floors. The room wasn't exactly clean when we first arrived and after complaining they did NOTHING to resolve it. They literally did NOTHING to resolve ANY of the many issues we had with this place. The only reason we stayed was because we had already booked for a week and weren't able to get our money back. I contacted corporate TWICE and still have yet to get any type of response from them. Do NOT waste your time or money on this place. You will be sorry you did, I promise you that!

Naomi Rivera: The place is a gem. Super clean, the beds are very soft and comfortable, the towels are soft like brand new, front desk was very professional and fast. The fridge are big perfect size for a couple of wine bottle. Public transportation stop is just outside the door of the hotel. FREE parking!!! Breakfast $ was decent not impressed but the brkf attending make the difference. I'm coming back soon.

Sruthi R: We waited 1.5 hours to get to the front of the line and were told that we would have to pay an extra $60 for a room that was booked through the wyndham website. The purpose of making a reservation is to hold your place for a given service and to offer it with the quoted rate for the service. We were surprised and it was the poorest experience that we had had at any hotel. I do not recommend this hotel at all if you are looking for reliable service. We ended up cancelling out reservation and had to find other accommodations at midnight after they told us. Please look elsewhere!

Brian Griswold: I wish I can give 0 or -5 stars to this "hotel". They are so terrible. I booked a reservation to spend the weekend in DC. When I arrived at the hotel around 11pm, there was a long line of people waiting to be checked-in. They double booked the rooms, didn't honor the reservations and just sent people away without accommodating their needs. At 1:15am my turn finally arrives and they said that my room wasn't available and I would have to pay $100 more per night for the suite available at the moment. This place is outrageous, PLEASE do not waste your money and time with these people.

Super 8 by Wyndham Alexandria/Washington D.C. Area: what do users think?

Will Combs: If all you want is a room to sleep in and price counts, this is your place. If you would like things like housekeeping, more than 2 bath towels and 1 wash cloth, coffee, fridge, microwave, etc..then look elsewhere. I had to call 3 times, talk you housekeeping directly, go the the front desk twice...about 6pm on my 3rd day of 6 night stay, I was able to actually get 2 more towels...given very reluctantly and with quite a bit of pleading. I've seen worse places, but the staff here is not overly friendly or accommodating at all. Not rude or mean, just not helpful at all. Oh, guest Internet hasn't worked yet and I'm on my 4th day here.

God is Love: Horrible hotel, I have never seen something like it before, I always travel but this time it was my worse, I booked 2 rooms for my family of four and two of my friends. The room does not have enough pillows for us and kids and I went to the reception to ask for more pillows they didn't have any and they gave me sheet rolls instead which were so uncomfortable to sleep on them and caused me to have neck pain and insomnia and I ended up waking my friends up at the middle of the night asking them to donate some of their pillows from their room. In the morning in the bathroom were only two towels medium size and I called the reception asking for more and they told me the room service comes at 7:30 am and when I called it was 6:30 am, so, we ended up all four of us using only 2 medium size towels, the room has no mini fridge and our restaurant "to go" food got messed up, also no microwave in the room. The breakfast in this hotel is literally muffin, yes, only muffin no cereal, no waffles, no yogurt , no bagels and cheese , just muffin . The beverages are only hot tea, hot coffee, apple juice and orange juice period

Krishna Thakkar: Pros - Attached to a Days Inn, with all the same amenities and check in office, so the cheaper Super 8 rate gets you a tiny bit more than it normally would. Cons - Breakfast was an absolute joke, just some danishes, milk, and coffee. They actually had the nerve to put out unbaked, RAW pastries with breakfast, which obviously we couldn't eat. Additionally, despite checkout being at 11AM, cleaning staff tried to come in to clean the room three separate times before we checked eventually checked out at 10:30AM. I understand that they want to get ahead on the cleaning, but having the door opened by staff without so much as a "come in" several times was frustrating.

Dennis Bagwell: It's fine if you just need a place to sleep. It's a 2 star hotel for a reason. It's close to DC, it's walking distance to a gas station, Ihop and KFC. The rooms don't have a small microwave or fridge, but room and shower seemed clean. My key fob failed to work 5 times, which was very annoying having to walk from the 3rd floor to get a new one after a long day of sight seeing. It's nothing special.

Jayce Pearl: Haven’t even stayed a full night yet and it’s terrible I walk in and smells very highly of weed as if someone smoked right before we walked in, the floors were gross then my brother sees that there are burn marks in the blanket and pulls the blanket and the sheets have dirt handprints all over the sheets. The bathroom not only had dirty towels but a overall dirty shower . If zero stars was a option this place would get it just take a stroll over to the other hotel right next door. Then call the health department and get this place shut down

Eug Su: It is not Super 8 anymore, it is Days Inn.. or vice versa... The receptionist gave us the key that didn't work two times, so we had to keep coming back to her to replace the keys, and each time we came to reception we had to wait long time because she wasn't there. The room had no coffee, nor fridge and microwave. Furniture was very worn out. The beds were rocks, maybe even floor was softer than these mattresses... It says that breakfast included, but be surprised on your arrival that it is not due to covid!

Lorrie Gurganious: WIFI didn't work most of the time. When we called about it we were told it was our device. We had to ask every day for towels and they do not clean the rooms every day. Sheets had holes in them. It was over all clean

Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Vienna/Tysons Corner: what do users think?

Unknown: I love staying here my favorite hotel. But is must be truthful. This is a very decent place and the only reason this place I think is not the best around town is the staff. Hurt to say. They seem have have no interest in the place. Maybe they should be paid more along with better training. They are very very nice but you can tell that maybe there is some kind of underlying issue with this place and it's staff. It reflects the hotels and sometimes certain things are not in the room and I think this is all due to the entire staff. I would recommend staying here because it is very pleasant and peaceful. Hawthorne please work on getting the staff more involved. Don't just say it do it and watch how much your business can blossom. This is still my go to hotel because everywhere else do not offer this peace but man I'm a little disappointed. Hope this is fixed really soon. Teaches me than you can't get it all right in this imperfect life we live.

James Bradley: THE POOL IS PERMANENTLY CLOSED! I decided to come here from a different hotel while I traveled for work, and shared it with a coworker. The first day we were here we noticed that the upstairs area had gum and stains ground into the carpeting, the previous hotel room occupant's sheets had been thrown in the corner, and the two upstairs beds had bodily fluid stains on the sheets. The air conditioning had trouble keeping up the whole time we were here, never getting below 75° during the day. The staff was polite, and the Asian woman at the front desk was extremely helpful!!! By far the most polite and thoughtful of the staff, she took care of any concerns we had and did her best to accommodate us. It was very average for the price but could definitely be improved upon. The fully accommodated kitchen was very nice as well, and included a dishwasher.

Rachael Janson: Pro tip. Take the top floor because you will be woken up by pounding. Also go ahead and ask for towels before you go to your room. You may only have two sets. Might want to bring a blanket. They are extremely thin. Pretty clean. Nice kitchen. Rewash the stuff before you use ( I always do) I found food particles on the forks.

Angel Alamo: There is a $150 deposit make sure you have the $150 on your debit or credit card. Suites are nice clean and comfortable. There was no complimentary breakfast cook had quit that really sucked. The rooms are nice and a lot of space. The best place to stay if you are going to spend a few nights they have a small kitchen great living room space. This is the best room for a two or three night stay. I wish I had stayed a few nights it is nice they have places like this to stay.

Savanna: This hotel room was the worst I've ever stayed in. The hotel itself promotes that it is non-smoking (even says this on the room door) but the room REEKED of cigarettes. The television wouldn't work unless the connecting wire was propped up with a pen. The toilet barely flushed and then continued to run no matter what we did for the remainder of the night. The comforters and sheets were stained, one of the shower towels had hair on it, the bathroom floor towel was stained and, probably worst of all, the carpet by the bathroom was so damp it wet our socks and that part of the room smelled absolutely horrendous. We tried to request a new room but they told us they were all booked up so we were stuck. They did say they would send room service to resolve the issues but, when room service arrived, all they did was spray Febreeze and leave! It was truly ridiculous. We only had to stay for one night so we wound up just deciding to put up with it because we did not have the time for find somewhere new to stay but I am still annoyed. The room wasn't cheap and it was so far less than satisfactory it was flooring. We will never, ever stay here again.

Rob: This is not a three star property, it maybe was a three star property ten to fifteen years ago when it was a Marriot but I just stayed there and confirm it's not 3 star. Their staff is not trained well in customer service and hospitality. A very rude and disrespectful manager named Malik with no guest service experience works here. He will lie to your face and when you complain or ask for something he will say that staff have complained about you when it's a lie. I'm confused as to how this man still works at the hotel because he has no customer service experience and doesn't know how to talk to staff and paying customers who pay his wages/salary. He needs to take some courses in hotel management and hospitality because he doesn't know the first thing about serving customers (guests). Although the hotel has decent room layouts and floor plans the old, stained poor quality towels, yellow stained pillows, outdated mattresses furnishings and carpets are one of the reasons it's not a three star property. Mattresses are very old spring type and not modern designed, think 1990s mattresses. Kitchen appliances not functioning properly and pots and pans missing from room altogether. Their coffee and "breakfast" is horrendous for the prices they charge. Their long term rates are very overpriced for the product and services they provide. For the prices that they charge for their loft rooms and queen studios you can find much better, newer quality and cleaner options in the area with full buffet breakfast included and without the disrespectful, unwelcoming and indifferent attitude of the staff who work here.

Mikayla G: I wouldn’t stay here again. We were supposed to be able to check in at 3 pm they told us the rooms hadn’t been cleaned and had to wait and they would call. They didn’t call after 3 hours so we came back then they told us it was ready. We were told there would be no room cleaning and no breakfast. We weren’t told beforehand. When we got to the room, it looked like it still hadn’t been cleaned. Dirt and splatters on the wall, no soap or paper towels in the kitchen, hair that wasn’t ours in the bathroom, torn up furniture, key cards that didn’t work well, hot water that turns ice cold after a 10 minute shower. And the icing on the cake, dirty sheets and top covers. BUT when I took off the pillow case to change it (after it took forever to get new pillowcases) and I found DRIED BLOOD on the PILLOW!

Christina Lee: This is NOT a hotel. It’s more of a bare bones Airbnb. My friend and I checked in last night. Room seemed OK. At least the central heating was working properly. I noticed there weren’t extra towels in the bathrooms, no shampoo, bath gels or any other BASIC amenities one would expect - even at the cheapest Holiday Inn. Mattress needs replacing. Furniture is SUPER OLD. Corners banged up, some of the stain was fading away - all very ghetto. Left the room this morning, came back later in the evening and was expecting my bed to be made, bathroom cleaned, trash emptied, etc. Again, BASIC HOTEL SERVICES, right? Nope. Nothing. Bed wasn’t made and my take out trash was still here. This place is such a dump. I knew something was up when I didn’t see a phone in the room. What if we need to call the front desk for anything? More towels? Good luck! Don’t stay here. Honestly, go somewhere else.

Days Inn by Wyndham Lanham Washington D.C: what do users think?

Guillermo Maldonado: Front desk person very polite and informative. Room was spacious and very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was like just built. Everything was clean and working to perfection. Overall, for a 3 star hotel, the ratio price/quality is unbeatable. I only missed hair conditioner and body lotion, but that's ok.

Aphasanx: It wasn’t bad for last minute checkin/room was nice and so was the front desk however, - There was a heavily** pungent smell of urine on one half of the room (carpet/pillows?). - AC didn’t work at all. -The bathtub didn’t drain for a while. - Walls were also a bit thin. - No pet policy, but you are allowed support animals as long as you have paperwork.

Dianne Arredondo: 1 star for location and having a room available for last minute check in. -1 for odor on the hallways, it is heavy of cigarettes and other unpleasant smells -1 for our room smelling of cologne when we first walked in and for having hair on the sheets -1 for stains on the wall near the AC and stains on the window blinds -1 seriously, cleaning and maintenance could be better. They do not do breakfast and it says free parking on their website but shouldn't that already come with booking a hotel room? The rooms look nothing like they do online.

Lovella Lucero: The place was clean but put dated. Not very welcoming atmosphere. You had to pay extra for late checkout. As a travel nurse that would frequently stay and give them businesses i feel this should be complimentary.

Sam McDowell: The rooms are clean but only good if you like cable. They block access to the HDMI and other ports on the TV because God forbid someone play on their Switch or Playstation instead of buy PPV programs. So if you want to do that, you have to bring your own monitor, which is utterly ridiculous. That's the main reason why the service and rooms are rated so low. The people do their job and it's close to several restaurants but I cannot recommend using this place if you plan on an extended stay and want to do anything but sleep and watch cable TV when you're not out and about.

Yvon Sakis: I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. No WIFI available. When I asked the front desk, they said guests have been complaining and management is aware of the issue. This happens in weekdays. Being aware is not an excuse when guests book their reservation knowing what amenities they need. They do offer breakfast which is good. The front desk Mustafa needs more training. He's does the job but he's impulsive and quick to argue for no reason. He argued with a guest over the phone when I was checking in. He litteraly yelled at me because I was waiting for him to hand me my bags while eating my sandwich...ridiculous! Then, he starts arguing while I was seating in the dining area when I said I can't go back to his desk with my food. I never seen such display of poor communication skills. The way he's comfortable doing that shows that he's used to doing it. I'm definitely not going back there.

Days Inn by Wyndham Alexandria South: what do users think?

Kyle Mazza: Checked in to the front desk and was served by a respectful and gracious night auditor and security person. They were both very respectful and kind. Great personality and service skills. The room was not clean and had cockroaches. The night auditor transferred me to another room, however a dead spider was found on the ceiling and more unwanted guests. The cost was refunded immediately and I appreciated the service from security and the night auditor. There should be an investigation with the rooms as it is unsanitary and very bad conditions. Unfortunately I do not recommend that anyone stay here at the property. The receptionist and security guard were wonderful but the room was atrocious.
Response: Kyle, after an investigation, we don't have any records of you even coming to the Days Inn Alexandria South. You did have a reservation for 4/29 but canceled it. Maybe you stayed at another Days Inn?

Ronald Alvarado: DON'T COME WITH YOUR FAMILY. Cheap hotel. Cheap experience. If you are traveling with low budget with your family, avoid this one and maybe pay a few more dollars and get a better rated one. First this you notice is the STRONG cigarette smell in the "non smoking room", second thing is that everything , I mean EVERYTHING inside the room, has details. You can see the lack of maintenance on this rooms. And the mentality of (avoid replacing and fix poorly to get more money with less investment), I use to travel a lot as a kid in the early 90's, and Days Inn were very respectable places to stay, not anymore. I have noticed that there is always Indian people in the staff. I don't know if that has to be with this quality problem now. PS. Ironically they make you sign a 450$ paper fine for smoke in the rooms 😂😂😂 In the morning the staff in the breakfast site behave like they hate the place and their life (white guy with lens that was Mexican)

Shawnna Stringfellow: This was a last minute accommodation that exceeded my expectations. I called after having a bad experience with a different hotel and was able to get a room. Breakfast was included along with free Wi-Fi and included a microwave, fridge and was more roomy than I thought it would be. I was actually surprised by the Breakfast area as well but appreciated my stay even more because of it. The staff maintained a clean area and kept food items stocked while guests were there. It included fruit cups, a variety of cold cereals, oatmeal, packaged pastries, pancakes, toast, milk, juice, coffee, and hot chocolate. While there were no eggs/meat my family and I enjoyed the food and cleanliness. One downside to this was that it was outdoor halls, so anyone could walk off the street and be in the hotel area, but there were cameras and staff walking the hotel quite often to monitor what was going on. Overall a great time for our short visit.

I will share your comments with our team, who I am certain will be encouraged by your remarks. Here at Days Inn, we continuously strive to exceed your expectations. Thank you again for sharing your experience, and we look forward to serving you in the future.

Beverly Hallowell: The only reason this place didn't only get one star is the friendly staff and cleanliness. Everything else didn't even deserve the one star. The pillows were way too soft, no shape at all. None of the outlets worked. We got stuck in the OUTSIDE elevator and the emergency call button didn't work, so we had to call the front desk and use the stairs for the duration of our stay. If it weren't for TBS we wouldn't have had any entertainment during our downtime, especially since the wifi was iffy at best. Seriously lucky we didn't demand our money back.

Foram Mistry: -Decent place -Was neat and clean although restroom was just old and not really clean. - they provide breakfast which includes coffee, oatmeal, orange, pancakes out of machine, cereal, granola bars, muffins etc - decent parking on premises - water bottle dispenser machines where not working at all, was tough to find water on premises.

Onix Fuentes: If you want to experience a Grand Theft Auto, or Cyberpunk 2077 motel, this is your place. All rooms smell like cigarettes. Dirty carpet. Elevator out of service. Stairs with bad lighting, graffiti, cigarettes buds. Shower head at the level of my face. No power outlets. At least it had a functional a/c and a door with lock. And the staff where super friendly.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at Days Inn by Wyndham Alexandria South. We appreciate your business during this unique time in history and during the pandemic. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. Allow me to express my sincerest apologies and rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent any future occurrences. I will share your comments with our team. Here at Days Inn, we continuously strive to exceed your expectations. Anderson Novaes: very bad, hotel very ,but very old. dirty, full of spiders everywhere, smell of cigarettes and marijuana throughout the hotel even in the non-smoking rooms, terrible. It almost gives the idea of an abandoned hotel. Don't even think about coming with kids. depressing breakfast, even in the photos looking reasonable, no protein, no sweetener options, and any questioning with an employee was heard: "that's right". Worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life.

Club Wyndham Old Town Alexandria: what do users think?

Curtis Keller: Hotel is nicely located. It's trying to bill itself as a resort but it's really not... It's missing a nice pool, restaurant and bar. It does have some club like features on the main floor nicely done. The rooms are well equipped for rental your basic vacation condo but a bit dated. Hotel is still running under COVID-19 policies for housekeeping which was a surprise for me.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback! We appreciate your review, and will make sure to improve moving forward.

Katie Clyburn: Our family has been staying at Wyndham’s across the country for years and they continue to be a wonderful experience. The staff is almost always very friendly and personable (we all have our off days) and it’s kept so nicely clean. The location of this Wyndham is perfect, across the street from the metro & beautiful views. We did have the room keys go orange and suddenly decide they did not want to work on the room (but would on the front entrance since it was past midnight.) Thankfully the staff was able to help us get it corrected. Would love to come back in the near future.
Response: Hi Katie, thank you for the positive comments. We are so happy to have you at our resort and hope to welcome you back soon!

Kevin Eckard: Super nice two bedroom. Very large room with lots of space! Free parking on-site. And it's right across the street from the metro. You can walk to the water an find Very nice restaurants on the way.the kitchen is full stocked with all the cooking ware you would ever need. It's ou favorite place to stay in DC!
Response: That's great to hear, Kevin! We're so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Club Wyndham Old Town Alexandria. Thank you for sharing your experience!

Christina Hom: Love the location of this place. Literally right across the metro and it is super convenient to get to all the museums. The walk down King Street to the waterfront is lovely too. Overall a fantastic place to stay. Wyndham has always been pushy for their sales presentations and for that, they get 4 not 5 stars.
Response: We are thrilled to hear you love your vacation at Club Wyndham Old Town Alexandria. We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Thank you!

Brandon Clift: Lamar, Marquita, and John went ABOVE and beyond for us during our short stay in DC. They pulled out all the stops to ensure that my fiance and I were comfortable and had everything we needed for a beautiful stay. Our experiences staying in 10+ other Wyndham locations has varied. After our weekend trip to DC my fiance and I both agree that the Alexandria Wyndham is BY FAR the greatest we have stayed in. The best part is that it is located directly on top of the DC Metro, making getting in and out of DC a breeze. It is also positioned perfectly at the beginning of the iconic and historic King Street, which we ventured up and down multiple times. Don't waste your money staying at an overpriced hotel in DC; instead, stay in Alexandria's Wyndham.
Response: Hi Brandon, thank you for the positive comments. We are so happy to have you at our resort and hope to welcome you back soon!

Lisa Ferguson: Room was a little older and could use a refresh and minor repairs but it was clean and spacious. AC died on last night there, thank goodness it was not the summer. Very close to Metro for daily rides into DC area. And a short walk into beautiful downtown Alexandria with many restaurants and shops.
Response: Hi Lisa, thank you for the positive comments. We are so happy to have you at our resort and hope to welcome you back soon!

Gregory Schmidt: There's a lot of differed maintenance. Room walls need paint, furnishings are very worn. A good place to crash, but not elegant or luxurious in the least. The staff were ready to help, but didn’t know much, like when the Old Town trolley ran or it’s route. I’ll give them a bye on that, but a RESORT identifying itself as a vacation spot should provide that information as easy access. The location is on the edge of Old Town, so you are under the National flight path, or the trains, or both. All Alexandria hotels face this problem. This is close (on) the train tracks. Easy access to DC and Mt Vernon via steps to Metro
Response: Thank you for sharing your detailed review about our property. We understand we have missed the mark here and hope to improve going forward. Reviews such as this help bring our areas in need of improvement to light.

Norman Krinsky: Very hard to find this resort if not familiar with the area, as it is located behind another building. Room are spacious and clean. Staff are pleasant, but not prone to "go the extra mile" for service. No pool, but has an excellent fitness center.
Response: Hi Norman, thank you for the positive comments. We are so happy to have you at our resort and hope to welcome you back soon!

Sandra M. Davidson: Here on Anniversary trip, rooms are very clean and bed very comfortable. The front desk are very friendly and helpful. Room is facing Camron St you can see the railroad but you hardly hear it. Only thing is a little heard to fine, because you have to drive up a driveway.
Response: Hi Sandra, thank you for the positive comments. We are so happy to have you at our resort and hope to welcome you back soon!

Mike Edwards: I love this location and having access to this property. But Wyndham Old Town is in serious need of an upgrade, at least in room 509. I don't think there is anything in this room that I could not find at the local scratch and dent sale or the secondhand store. I could add photos but that would be just piling on. Management knows what the standards should be, and with the fees we all pay we shouldn't be seeing this. In fact, I will post just one photo...and this is "Deluxe".
Response: We are thrilled to hear you love your vacation at Club Wyndham Old Town Alexandria. We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Thank you!
