Josephine Butler Parks Center: what do users think?

Liza Greenberg: We checked out multiple venues in DC, but none captured the vision we had for our October 19, 2019 wedding like the Josephine Butler Parks Center. The space is beautiful enough to not need too much decoration but simple enough to be a blank canvas if you wanted to go big. We had 120 guests and it felt both spacious and intimate. Malina was very informative and helpful and has done the wedding rodeo enough times to have answers to every question we threw at her. And we felt especially great about using the Center because we knew we were supporting the Washington Parks!

Joseph Ortega: A classy and elegant old venue in the heart of the city. Spacious and full of rich historical ties to the city.

Aaron Hedquist: I’ve photographed several weddings at the PARKS CENTER. Every time, the venue is well organized, plenty of room for vendors, and the guest seem to really enjoy the multi-level space. You also won’t be able to beat the access to one of the largest (and best) parks in DC. PLUS, the building is run by a local non-profit so a portion of the proceeds go back to doing great work here in DC. If your thinking about having a wedding, corporate, or family event, definitely check-out the JOSEPHINE BUTLER PARKS CENTER.

Jeffrey Harris: Fun event space. Been there for wedding and fundraising/social event. Lovely.

Audrey Link: Attended a couple of wedding parties here. Fairly well maintained historic home. Nice staircase in the foyer which is a good spot for photos. There is a balcony (might hold 30)which is a nice place for cocktails in nice weather. There was more than enough room in the dining area for the 150 or so in attendance at the last party. There are 2 kitchens, an upstairs which is a decent size and a much smaller one on the lower level. This provides a lot of room for prep and the fridges help with the cooling of your beverages so not everything has to be chilled on ice. Parking is a little difficult because of the location, but the same can be said for all places in that vicinity. Overall a very quaint location for your event.

Andrew Breza: A charming and historic event spacelocated next to Meridian Hill Park

M U K T I . D E S A I: I had my wedding here in September of 2014 and it was absolutely perfect! The space is gorgeous and we knew the venue was for us the moment we saw it. We had just under 150 people and the space was perfect. Dinner was a little cramped, but other than that the space was perfect. We were lucky and had amazing weather so we are also able to make great use of the terrace. This is the perfect place for someone wanting a DC wedding at a reasonable price. The photo opps are also amazing and if you are lucky and get good weather, the park is so close and makes for great photos as well.

Erin R: Went here for a gala. A historic venue that is perfect for a small to medium sized corporate or personal event! Two stories we’d open for us to gather in. The staircase is beautiful!

Honey & Lavender Events: what do users think?

Bryce Fowler: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueMaya with Honey and Lavender was the best support to plan and execute my husband’s 50th birthday week. She was responsive and creative up front in the planning phase and great to have as an extra pair of hands during execution. I would definitely hire Maya again and recommend her for any party planning.

Lynne Cripe: My husband and I hired Honey & Lavender Events for full-service planning of our 10-year vow renewal. We eloped when we got married and this was our chance to have a wedding-like event that we had promised our family and friends to one-day hold. Maya and her team were AMAZING! They immediately got a sense of our vision and hopes for the event, helped identify a stellar team of vendors, kept us on track in terms of tasks and budget, came up with creative ideas when we were stumped, helped us navigate the vagaries of event planning during a pandemic, and took care of the details so we could enjoy our guests and each other. People asked us if we were stressed in the days prior to our vow renewal and our ability to honestly respond, "No" was all due to the competence and care of Maya and her team. I would hire them again in a heartbeat and would recommend them enthusiastically to others.

joan hadeed: You absolutely need Maya and her team at your wedding. I cannot say enough good things about them. I hired Maya as my day of planner and from a month out from the wedding she was coordinating it all! I was at ease in the weeks leading up to the wedding because Maya was so responsive to all of my vendors and made sure there was a detailed timeline for the weekend. The day of was PERFECT. Maya and her team are so warm, flexible, organized, and professional. I received so many compliments from both other vendors and guests. Everyone says “something” will go wrong on your wedding day. NOTHING went wrong on our day thanks to Honey and Lavender!!

Jennifer Greene Naples: Maya and Juliette planned a garden soiree birthday party for us in the spring. They were fantastic -- timely, knowledgeable, and well-connected. It was a wonderful, WORRY-FREE experience, which was EXACTLY what we wanted. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Honey and Lavender Events, without hesitation, and hope to be able to work with them again in the future! Thank you again for all your help!

The LINE DC: what do users think?

Corry: We stayed at The Line for three nights and I wish we could have stayed longer! Prior to our arrival the front desk staff were friendly and helpful on the phone with fantastic dinner suggestions and tips for getting around via public transit. We arrived early and were expecting to leave our bags at the front desk but the employee was very accommodating and checked us in. The room was lovely. Incredibly clean bathroom and bedroom, a beautiful view, comfortable bed, and very quiet. We enjoyed downtime either at the rooftop mini bar at night watching planes fly in to Reagan air port or during the day on the patio out front of the hotel. Truly a beautiful hotel and spectacular staff. 10/10 would recommend!!

Mollie Young: Everything about our experience was incredible. The staff is warm and hospitable, the room was spacious and tasteful (with great city views), and the amenities cannot be beat! We were so excited to use the gym and couldn’t get over equipment options — there’s something for everyone! The hotel restaurant, No Goodbyes, is also a must. The service is excellent and the food is fantastic. Definitely have a cocktail at the bar before or after dinner and check out the coffee shop the next morning. Everything about our stay was wonderful, and we are already planning our return visit!

Sara Urtz: Our stay was okay, not great. For the price, I was expecting great. There’s nothing really special about this hotel. There was no fridge to keep waters we brought in (besides the minibar which was full of drinks to buy) and the curtains are paper thin, letting in so much light it was hard to sleep. Great location and staff was friendly, but nothing special besides that.

Anna Ponamarchuk: Hotel is amazingly beautiful! It looks like Spanish parlament house from outside and it looks like a design studio from incite! So beautiful! Sweet Rachel was there the the mornings both days I was staying. She rescued my life with all the printing for my embassy apartment. She was kind, bubbly, and so helpful! I have a hotel my self and would definitely love to work with her! Kenny helped me on the phone after I checked out. These guys are great! They complete my wonderful stay in The Line DC Definitely recommend and will come back!

Kevin Shim: Staff is friendly. Location is good. Room was decent. The Line DC has everything that typically comes with a 5-star hotel. A restaurant, a gym, conference rooms, and valet parking. The hotel entrance is on the side of the building! Keep in mind that valet parking is going to be $59 per night, which may be worth it since it’s difficult to street park in DC. Due to zoning laws, you’ll only be able to street park for 2-3 hours at most unless you have a resident sticker. The area (it’s called Adams Morgan) has a variety of food options, and generally safe to go out at night. At the time of this writing (early 2022), there was a noticeable homeless presence on the streets of DC. Most are harmless and will leave you alone. The hotel room is decent. The sink water gets scaldingly hot, which you may or may not like. The shower head has strong pressure, so the water will give you a massage. Some of the furnishings in the room seem cheaply done. For example, the power cord for the free standing lamp is fixed onto the wall with some cheap plastic. Some of these fixtures were coming off the wall when I was there. Overall, decent 5-star hotel. Nothing extraordinary.

photog1976: One of the worst restaurant experiences ever. Our waiter forgot dishes and then forgot again for another 25min once reminded and chose to blame the kitchen staff rather than seeking to resolve the situation and make a simple apology. He then slammed down the plates when serving, gave our family the stink eye and walked off without saying a word. We made sure to be polite and respectful the whole time, but this place is just full of staff who think they’re too good for their job. Food was nothing to write home about. Was much better with previous owners.

Washington Plaza Hotel: what do users think?

Manny Sergentakis: We arrived 2 hours early and got a room without waiting. Excellent staff and customer service. Outdoor pool was great. All the sites are walking distance. Highly recommended.

Cesar Zucco: Great location. And a great pool that allows guests to forget about the location. Architecture invokes what the future looked like in the 60s.

Kelley Hambrick: Absolutely beautiful place. All the staff were very friendly and hospitable. We were treated very well. I love that your car is locked secure in the garage every night. Check out time is NOT at the crack of dawn...the only disappointment was the beautiful pool was closed. The bathroom tile was beautiful and clean. Beds were comfy and very clean. Location, I gave 4 stars only because it was a little bit of a walk to get to the museums. But also, it was a nicer quiet area, right across the street from the beautiful Martin Luther Church.

Shannon Dermid: Upon arrival, we were greeted and welcomed so pleasantly. The young lady that checked us in went above and beyond for us after we asked her about some local black owned restaurants. The pool was not open as of yet but looked great! We will definitely return to enjoy the pool and their outdoor bar. The restaurant bar inside the hotel was great as well, the lady bartender was alot of fun. The greeter was always attentive and very friendly when opening the doors for everyone. Parking was so easy, it is a extra charge BUT it is in all of DC hotels. It was very clean and beds and pillows comfortable. This hotel is in a PERFECT LOCATION, right in the middle of everything. This is our go to stay at spot now.

Arun Bharath: Great location, big pool and cleaning services everyday which is fast disappearing from other hotels! White House, museums, and restaurants fairly close to the hotel. A bit dated and could use some renovation but still recommend for a stay there.

Tony Duncan: Pool area is great. Rooms a bit dated but we’re clean and comfortable.

The Mansion on O & O Street Museum: what do users think?

Alita brown: I had such a great time hearing about the history of the Mansion on O. So many doors and rooms. Vintage overload. Love it! I will definitely be back. The owner and his family were so pleasant to us. I hope they were able to take one of sushi restaurant recommendations. Please go and support this local jewel

Kurt Heuberger: We did the After Hours tour and had a truly unique experience! We spent 2 and a half hours exploring the mansion, and we felt we could have spent more time there (sadly they were closing for the night). I really felt like I could go back the next day and have a completely different experience. If you are in the DC area, I highly recommend the Mansion on O Street.

K A: I visited the historic O museum last week but I wasn’t able to explore the mansion because I got there late. I’ll definitely revisit earlier another day to have ample time to explore the 100 rooms and shop. You can literally spend the whole day there. Make sure to check for the available hours and tours before heading there. I highly recommend to all locals and tourists. It’s a must see!!! Lovely Ambiance ✅ Good Service ✅ Very Friendly And Courteous Staff✅

Jia Fan: Feels like a giant flee market, with no organization. Rooms and rooms of things piled together. Not worth the Money, especially considering there are so many museums here in DC that are world class and all free. The secret doors sounded cool, but not really…

Will Stein: Had a wonderful time at this museum on Saturday, it was quite unique and engaging! I was served drinks from Tameka who was kind, patient and seemed to be effectively running the operation. I purchased a book from 1889 called Carrots and an old Victorian sofa, how fun!

Lakshmi Mahalingam: I would call this more of a flea market maze than a museum. If you like searching for cool things to buy in an overwhelming mountain of junk and you are ok with very tight/cluttered spaces, this is for you. I was disappointed because it was advertised as a museum - which it has the potential to be if the items were curated and displayed in a pleasing way. The staff were absolutely lovely and we did end up buying a couple neat things (book, shot glasses, earrings). I was so excited to visit I even dragged my BF and my mom, but it was a waste of time and $. I would recommend the Hillwood Mansion & Gardens for a truly gorgeous experience.

The Mayflower Hotel, Autograph Collection: what do users think?

Alok Sinha: Had a wonderful stay here for 6 days. The room was big and clean. The staff were friendly throughout the stay. The doormen were very nice always quickly chatting with us and opening the doors for us. There was coffee and tea available for free every morning which was a big plus. The main advantage to this hotel is how central to the city it is. It is only a few minutes walk to the white house and also several great restaurants. It is on the same block as a red line train station which made it super easy to get around the city. Would highly recommend staying here it you are in Washington D.C and want to easily take public transportation to all the landmarks of the city.

Christine: It’s the last night of my week long stay at the Mayflower Hotel & it is by far the most immaculate, comfortable yet not sterile space loaded with amenities & hospitality driven employees. Beautiful, rich feeling, spacious rooms… with great water pressure. I upgraded on Friday night & saved $10/night to have a 3 room “suite” so make sure you are getting those weekend savings! Please take care of your bellhops, door men, bartenders, all of the good people with tips large or small proving it’s the appreciation that truly matters and in return they go out of their way to make sure you feel like your a rockstar. Good food, rather small selection at restaurant/bar, but it gets a bit pricey & so does parking.

Ukvayat Hanak: A building infused with elegance and beauty that captivates and relaxes the weary traveler. Service was polite and helpful every time. The beds comfy, temperature controls great, and rooms spacious for a crowded DC area. Only had two issues: an excessive amount of pubic hair left uncleaned behind the toilet area and some of the furniture/carpet needed a good cleaning to bring it to tip top shape. Everything else was outstanding.

Anne Marie Smith: The Mayflower is a beautiful hotel. The room was not large, but it was very comfortable, with one exception. The desk chair was very low and had a cushion that sank you even lower. If I had needed to do a lot of computer work, I would have had to request a different chair. As it was, I was in a meeting all day so it was workable. The thing I liked the best was the ability to control the fan. I am a light sleeper so it was wonderful to be able to turn the fan to stay on continuously instead of having the on and off that you get with an auto setting. I was not bothered by noise at all...a big win.

Hampus Engstroem: Definitely enjoyed my stay at this hotel, definitely high-end and the service was excellent! The only criticism I have was during the first night I was in a room that had an AC duct right outside the window going up the wall, it was so loud that it sounded as if there was a jet engine sitting right outside my window. Barely slept that first night. The next day I talked to the front desk about it and they promptly switched me to a new room without any issue. Definitely top tier service!

Tasneem Jama: I would have to say one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. From the beginning of check in, the room that was originally assigned to me had an issue with flickering lights. The reception immediately checked to see if there was another room and switch me out to another no questions asked. The bedding is so comfortable, all I wanted to do was sleep in all day. Housekeeping were very friendly and cleaned very thoroughly. The location was fantastic, it was close to everything, sometimes even walking distance. They provide complimentary coffee and tea in the mornings in front of the lobby until 10:30am and as a coffee addict, it was good enough to drink as the first cup of coffee. Connected to the hotel, is this little all day breakfast that serves amazing breakfast. I would definitely not hesitate to book Mayflower!!!

Charlie Edwards: Would recommend. Stayed here two nights for a work convention held in the meeting rooms of the hotel. Nice room, spacious, up-to-date and well maintained fixtures and decor. The meeting rooms were good for our convention of maybe 200-300 people.

United States National Arboretum: what do users think?

Eduardo Moser: We visited during cherry blossom days. They have a great variety of cherry trees and magnolias. It is a complement to know different cherry blossoms from those of the Tidal Basin. There is no proper public transportation, so the place is fairly free of tourists. We came to this place by car on the recommendation of a friend who lives in DC. The Bonsai collection is amazing. There is much to walk and explore. On a plain they have mounted the original columns of the Capitol. Bring some snacks and drinks, because there is no service in the place. Access and parking is free.

Da-Wang Wu: We came here in late April, and the Azalea blossoming was pretty amazing! Walking on the trail with the Azalea blossoming along the way was very nice. Parking inside the park can be tricky, so we parked in the lot right next to the entrance and walked 5-10 minutes to the main campus. Overall, it’s a beautiful place, and I would definitely come back.

CJ: Depending on when you visit the US National Arboretum, something different is peaking. In mid April, the fruit trees were just past peak, but the lilacs shrubs were close to full bloom. As I strolled thru the lilac grove, the soft lilac fragrance permeated the air. One of the US National Arboretum’s most prominent and a little puzzling landmarks is the old Corinthian National Capitol Columns residing on the Ellipse Meadow. The US National Arboretum was not the column’s intended home when they were quarried back in the early 1800s. Originally, the columns were built as a part of the east portico of the US Capitol Building now located about 3 miles away from the US National Arboretum. By the 1860s, when the dome of the Capitol was completed, the columns were deemed inadequate to support the new dome. It wouldn’t be until the mid 1980s before the columns would find their final home at the US National Arboretum. Twenty-two of the original 24 columns are on majestic display in Ellipse Meadow. During our trip to the US National Arboretum in mid April, the Azaleas were just starting to bud and bloom. So no good pictures this trip. Peak time for the Azalea garden at the arboretum is late April. I hear the Azaleas are a beautiful sight when the hillside is painted with splotches of different colors.

Karthikeyan Rajaram: Luck is when you run into a beautiful place like this without planning. Better luck is when you get into it in the company of a person who used to volunteer at this place. We didn’t really plan to be at the arboretum, considering that the Spring is still not Springy enough. We had seen enough of Cherry Blossoms in the Tidal basin area that we thought we could do something else. We just made it to this place on recommendation from one of our relatives, who also accompanied us. Since he was a volunteer here, he helped us navigate and gave us so much insights about the different kinds of plants, flowers, bonsais and the what the lovely people who work here, do. We drove around this place and still got to see more cherry blossoms, along with different other species of flora. The enchanting Bonsai museum is a must visit as it did take our breathes away. The old columns of the capitol and the grove of different state trees are some of the special features of this place. The flowers were not in full blossom and we definitely look forward to checking this place again in summer.

Logan Heilman: Visited for the Bonsai event they were having and had a blast. All the vendors were great and the museums bonsai and penjing exhibit was phenomenal. Will definitely be back.

Elisabeth “Beth” Ostrander: We only had about an hour and headed to the bonsai area. Wow! To see living gifts from Japan and China that were started and cared for since before the birth of our nation was truly outstanding. Befitting our National Arboretum! Will return to see more treasures!

Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC/U.S. Capitol: what do users think?

Siobhan Walker: My stay was amazing. My room was spacious and so clean. The front desk was polite, helpful and very professional. Octavia was awesome. She was most helpful because the hotel I had a current reservation for had canceled my reservation and I had to make a reservation here last minute. She provided me the most outstanding customer service possible even with my frustration from the other hotel. Any questions I had was answered and my stay was relaxing. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

g watson: Customer service here is EXCELLENT. Very friendly staff - extra praise to the office manager, Reina Munoz and guest agent Janay! Hilton - you should recognize this location and their staff, they go above and beyond their call to make guests feel welcomed and comfortable. All hotel/hospitality should take this location as the example for service. The rooms are clean, and quite comfortable and roomy - this hotel is conveniently located, just a short walk from Union Station. I was here for business and I was delightfully surprised for the work space and seating area. I was also happy to learn their fitness center is open 24hrs...with my stay being business in nature - it is difficult for me to get a work out in at most places, due to the limited hours fitness centers are available. 100% recommend the US CAPITOL location. If you want to feel welcomed and comfortable, stay here!

Angela Baca: The air conditioning in our room never worked even after they had someone come and fix it. The elevator stopped on every floor. The pool was available but it was foggy and couldn’t see the bottom of the pool because of this. Burned my kids eyes and mine. This hotel is older and not maintained well by Hilton. There are no fans in the bathroom so if you take a hot shower your whole hotel room fills with steam. The people are nice and it is located near a metro. Those are the only two things that are good about this hotel. Only stay here unless you just can’t find anywhere else to stay.

Natalie Martin: The staff was nice and did what they could, but the hotel was overwhelmed and not well maintained. It is unequipped to have more than 1-2 guests arriving or departing at the same time. It also has intentionally inadequate air conditioning. I have stayed at Hiltons in other cities that also have valet only parking. They’ve all had a driveway to pull in and unload your vehicle. This one has only a small shoulder that a maximum of 2 cars can pull into. Everyone else has to just stop in the middle of a busy street. There were no luggage carts when we arrived, left or had to move rooms on the second night. Other guests also told us that there were no luggage carts when they arrived. On the first night the room was consistently hot though we could hear the AC cut on and off. After coming to look at it twice, the maintenance man determined that the compressor in our room was broken so we were moved to a new room (again no luggage cart, we had a lot of stuff as we were traveling with a toddler). The maintenance man explained that the AC units are motion activated so guests will always return to a hot room and it will always get hot in the middle of the night so that’s why it took him so long to figure out that ours was actually broken. This seems incredibly stingy for a Hilton (in addition to being illogical as it takes more energy to cool a hot room than it does to simply maintain temperature). Stay here only if you are a single traveler with one suitcase and don’t mind an 80 degree room overnight and when you return after being out of the room. Other reviews mention how slow the elevator is, that is also true.

Geoffrey D: Parking valet lane is terribly short. Stains on the comforter. Breakfast included not properly advertised on elevator or through hotel. Laid out of first floor is very awkward, why have steps instead of escalator to second floor. Front desk staff were superb. All throughout the stay they were informative, helpful, positive and available! Wait for valet was not long at all, which was surprising. Minor issues, overall decent stay.

David: Very nice hotel - staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The Manager greeted us as we were leaving and just make the stay complete. Nice pool and restaurant - special call out Kevon our waiter for one of our evening meals. Great place to stay - close to a metro stop as well.

Chippy McLain: Guest services here should be renamed "guest hassles." Checking in and checking out were lengthy, frustrating ordeals. Paid valet parking was ineffective, slow, and overpriced--and apparently the only option. Showers were inconsistent, with cold winning two out of the three mornings we stayed. One of the two elevators was broken leading to overstuffed rides with no option of social distancing as well as long delays in the lobby. The spa had a new twist: a hot tub colder than the pool. I had hoped for a classy, Hilton experience for my family. I wish I had stayed at a Motel 6. I am thankful that I saw no rats inside the hotel. There were plenty just outside the front door; I assume due to the construction and vagrant tents across the street. This section of DC has some big rats. My littlest did think these were cool; my wife, not so much.

Sassy Sauce: The hotel is pretty decent. It met all of our basic needs. It was as clean as I think it should be but the rest of my party felt it was ok. Parking can be a little challenging in the area but we managed. The front desk staff were pleasant and very helpful. I would go back if I needed to.

The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown, Washington, D.C.: what do users think?

Jessica Leifer: Disappointing. Can hear the highway from the room, and they supposedly didn’t have any other rooms to offer us. Definitely not worth the price. Rooms should be soundproofed better. Mediocre— nice Marriott at best. Probably could have spent $200 less and stayed at a hotel just as nice, and way quieter. The lobby is adorable and homey feeling. Service was great. Location is great.

Sean C: For a high end hotel, the rooms were old, not well maintained, and very underwhelming. We were super disappointed when we got into our room. It was mediocre at best. It looks like what you would expect at one of the lower end Marriott properties, but not a Ritz. The shower is super small, the toilet is very low to the ground and uncomfortable. The bathtub was dirty, the towels were small, thin and not soft at all. The wallpaper also has stains in a number of places. The lobby of the hotel is nice and the location is good. There are two wings in the hotel and our room was in the West, so I don’t know if this is an older part of the hotel or not, but it could use major renovations for us to want to come back again.

Toni Dzinic: My wife and I had our wedding at the Ritz in their Fahrenheit Ballroom, and what a beautiful night it was! We had ~60 guests and that is about the most people I’d personally recommend for the ballroom. Liliana Klein is the person to talk to when you want to plan a wedding there and she’s such a pleasure to work with. She walked us through everything from day 1. The food was excellent, the preferred vendors were also a joy to work with. Seriously, I’ve never experienced better service at a hotel. If you’re considering having your wedding here, do it! If you’re coming here for a night or two, or just to enjoy some dinner and cocktails, you also won’t regret it. We’ll be back!

Kimpton Hotel Monaco Washington DC: what do users think?

Shining Starzz: I’ve stayed in hotels all around the world and this is my favorite. Front staff was friendly and sociable. Check-in was easy. Free happy hour in the evening. High vault ceilings in the rooms, which are well decorated. Large full mirror in the rooms and little things like the jewelry box, umbrella, yoga mat, exotic animal print robes and natural soap make a big difference. Only disappointment was the view from my window.

Susan Payne: Friendly, attentive staff, spacious lobby and guest rooms with funky meets traditional furnishings, soaring ceilings, and comfy beds. Perfect location for Smithsonian and within walking distance to the Tidal Basin/cherry blossoms. We felt very safe walking around. Complimentary coffee in the mornings and wine in the evenings - a nice touch. Several very good restaurants within a few steps from the hotel in every direction, including a lively restaurant/bar with outdoor seating in the hotel’s own courtyard. We’re hoping to make this an annual trip!

Ray Bentley: This was the WORST experience of my life. When I arrived my room was not prepared at 3pm on a Saturday! We ended up not being able to change and we’re late to an engagement. I asked the staff when and why our rooms were not ready and they gave us no timeline until I asked for the third time. Upon asking the front desk attendant was extremely rude when I really tried to be overly nice about the situation. Upon my room being prepared they didn’t apologize and might as well have just thrown my hotel card keys at me. When I asked what they could do to accommodate the issues we experienced, she said nothing. They finally gave us fifty dollars credit to a restaurant at the hotel. When we went to check out they also tried charging us for the fifty dollars we used at the restaurant and basically called me a liar until I explained how terrible of a stay I had. Going further our rooms were not cleaned the entire weekend and they blamed it on staffing and Covid issues. They did not adjust our price even though we booked through American Express travel. The worst part of all of this was the fire alarm that went off at 2am requiring the entire hotel to exit. They chose to rent out there lounge on the roof that evening to a 21st birthday party in which someone pulled the fire alarm. This place is a frat house not a hotel. It’s very disappointing because the furniture and ambiance of the space was great. A manager was supposed to call me after I checked out and I have received nothing of the kind. Worst stay I’ve ever had in a hotel and I travel for work all the time. Location and hotel furniture fixtures plus, everything else was absolutely terrible. Disappointing. Zero stars if I could.

Chad Rea: Stayed here 4 nights for a work conference and must say it was disappointing for a luxury branded IHG/Kimpton property. The hotel absolutely has some bold decor choices (which I kind of enjoyed) with the furniture and wallpaper. Rooms - I stayed in room 218, the bed was too soft for my liking, and the pillows were not great quality. The room also had an unusual smell which I could not identify. The weather was in the low 30s during my stay, and the thermostat would not go above 65 no matter high I set the heater temperature (thankfully I like my rooms cold). The restaurant "Dirty Habit" was really good, the charcoal bun burger was phenomenal. The location is perfect, I was across the street from the Wizards arena, and within walking distance of a ton of great restaurants and all of the smithsonian museums. Big Plus! And I must shout out the exceptional service. The staff was excellent, front desk was helpful and check-in was a breeze. Waiting staff during the provided conference meals were very attentive. The bellmen were also friendly and accommodating. Daily housekeeping was great. And the complimentary wine (in evening) and coffee (in the morning) in the lobby was a nice touch. Overall, solid hotel, great staff, but desperately in need of a makeover.

Matthew Radomski: The service was fantastic. We were welcomed by Belinda at the front desk when we checked in. There was a small error with our reservation (used a 3rd party app) and it took them maybe 2-3 minutes to fix the error. Belinda and another gentleman at the front desk went out of their way to make upgraded accommodations for us, and ensure we had a great time. Throughout our entire stay, we were greeted by name and asked how everything was. I could not have asked for better service.

Jeremy: Unless you have a written guarantee that you will NOT be in a basement room, don’t stay here. The basement rooms are musty and provide a view of the sidewalk and garbage cans. Staff were less than helpful as I watched guests who arrived after me get checked in. All of this well past the posted 3:00pm check-in time.

Hyatt Place Washington Dc/National Mall: what do users think?

Keith Wunsch: Convenient location, fairly close to the Smithsonian museums and national mall. The 2 queen bed (and sofa bed) room is perfect for families. Service is fast and friendly. Breakfast is a bit basic but is included in your room fee which is a major plus. Most of the unique amenities are closed in the cooler seasons and parking is a little pricey ($50/day) but otherwise it is a well equipped hotel.

Jennifer Jordan: The hotel elevator floors were dirty and not well maintained. The elevator buttons were barely attached to call an elevator on the lobby level. There were letters missing on the wall of the lobby level. The room was decent but the walls were marked up and the bathroom left a lot to be desired. The towel rack in our bathroom was rusted badly and the tub did not drain well. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone I know. There is a reason why they do not show pictures of the bathroom when booking.

Jazmín Romero: We stayed for one night and that was enough to know how things work here. The attention from the front desk staff was very good, no complaints about that. But: First of all, the elevators are pretty slow, it takes about 5 minutes to get into one. The air conditioner in our room made a lot of noise and it wasn’t fun to listen to. At around 9 a.m. the cleaning lady knocked at our door because she wanted to clean up already. It was a bit of a bother because we had just woken up, were still in bed and had barely gotten prepared for breakfast. She said that she had on her list that we would be doing the regular 12 noon checkout and not the later 2 pm checkout (we had told the staff at the front desk that we would do the 2 pm checkout since we have Hyatt Discoverist status which allows this). For breakfast there were no trays to put our plates on. They offered different sizes of plates and glasses/ cups, but I guess they think we have 6 hands to hold everything. It’s inefficient to make more than one trip to get the food. We decided to eat something in the afternoon before we left. The waiter took our order. He then said that my chicken sandwich would last longer that normal to come out (about 20 minutes. It ended up being a whole HOUR. He did not say anything about the time and we saw how the table next that arrived after us was finishing their food already. I am pretty disappointed. I hope they can get better.

Mr. Carl Davis: We stayed at this location the entire week and totally enjoyed everything. The room was spacious and we had a decent view from the 6th floor. We were centrally located to the National Mall and walking distance to CVS and the local grocery and other attractions... The staff while being very busy at times was professional and very nice on all levels. The breakfast was great and had a variety and a good selection of food... Not sure why someone said breakfast cost them extra because nothing was added extra for us on our bill. Neither were we disturbed by the fire station located around the corner of the hotel... We had a great stay....Thumbs 👍.

JW Marriott Washington, DC: what do users think?

John Tucker: Great location. Very nice staff. I had a base room with two full-sized beds. Only concern was that my top sheet was not long enough to tuck in...literally got in bed, pulled the covers up to my chest and felt a rush of air come from the bottom of the bed. Why housekeeping made the bed that was is beyond me... and when I tried to tuck it in, it was too short at the top to even come within 2 or 3 feet of the top of the headboard. Nice room otherwise.

Annette Tatum: Beautiful hotel, walking distance to all the monuments and the White House. Do not waste your money on a rental car because its easier to walk and not have to worry about parking. Excellent location and staff, will recommend giving this place a try when in Washington, DC.

Brenna Belletti: Really beautiful hotel. The rooms are small but beautifully decorated and clean. We had a lovely view from our room as well. Convenient Starbucks coffee located in the shop in the lobby. I would stay here again!

Asma Alavi: The hotel is neat, clean. And the staff is friendly. The room was spacious. There is a corner bakery right outside the hotel. The location is amazing. Just 5-10 mins walk to all the attractions. We loved our stay there

Washington Marriott at Metro Center: what do users think?

Derek Kruger: Great location for this Marriott. The national mall, White House …. All within walking distance from this hotel. The restaurants within walking distance are great too. The staff were helpful from valet, front desk to bellhops. Even a Starbucks in here, even though we prefer Dunkin’ Donuts was still nice to have a “real” coffee shop in the hotel. We will definitely be staying here again. Tip- worth it to find your own parking garage. 1/3 the price

01carbin1: I worked at this property when I was in college. My wife and I were downtown so I decided to go down Memory Lane and stop in for dinner. The club sandwich was still on the menu and was as good as I remembered it. The friendly service and speed of delivery were appreciated....a tad bit inattentive after the food was delivered, but overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Angela Thompson: Good hotel, great location. Right next to the metro. Also has capital bike share steps away. Doormen are awesome too! No room service though. And, no extras in the rooms either. No lotions, shower cap, pen and paper, etc. But, once again, location is pretty close to everything.

Marco Sernicola: Very useful position close to the Metro Center Station. Large and comfortable room with 2 queen size beds inside. Clean, extra pillows, many towels and 2 small bottles of water... Unfortunately there was no fridge or free wifi facilities. The gym and a small Starbucks, inside the hotel, were very helpful.

Eteri Mach: Very disappointed in a few things: 1. Our room was never cleaned during the 4 days. 2. On the checkout day room service just kept knocking on the door in the morning, waking us up. I don’t understand why they cannot coordinate with the reception who checked out and who is still there. 3. There were provided no dressing gowns, disposable kits, or anything. When we called and asked for a razor, they told us to come downstairs and get it. Not very good service. 4. The duvet covers inside the sheets were soiled with brown spots. Otherwise it was clean, and the location was nice.

Carol Chung: Be prepared for insanely long waits for the elevator and your car ($54 valet parking only). Considering how long the wait is for the elevator, I would say this hotel is NOT handicap friendly. We would have to wait around twenty minutes every time we used the elevator. When we were there the first night, it was fully booked with only ONE elevator running. The next day they had 2 out of the 4 elevators running but still long enough wait that we would just walk from the 12th floor. The rooms are also outdated with popcorn ceiling and lots of stains. Would not recommend staying here!

Morrison House Old Town Alexandria, Autograph Collection: what do users think?

dave: I recently spent three nights here and was thoroughly impressed with the service. Everyone that I encountered from the front porch to first entering my room was polite and helpful. My room was in a corner, with a view toward Washington. It contained the appropriate amount of space, with ample closet room and a well laid out bathroom. Every morning, there was a selection of breakfast treats, juice, and of course coffee and tea. Venturing out the first afternoon (with little knowledge of Alexandria), we were pleasantly surprised to learn that we were in the middle of the old area of town with various activities and a broad selection of restaurants available to us. Walking around near the Morrison was a pleasant experience. We enjoyed our stay here. As bad luck would have it, I discovered when I arrived home that I had forgotten a package and left it at the hotel. It had no current contact information attached, so I was worried about what would happen to the item. As soon as I called the contact number, I learned that the package had been discovered, and stored in a secure area. Within a day, it was on its way to my home, and it arrived safe and sound the following day. I was impressed at how helpful the staff was each time I called for a progress report. For my next trip to Alexandria, I will stay here again, and I highly recommend the Morrison for others.

Brandon Acosta: The Morrison House was the perfect location to host our wedding ceremony and reception! We also stayed at the hotel the week of the wedding and had an exceptional stay thanks to all of the incredible staff. From the people at the front desk to the team setting up for the wedding everyone went above and beyond to make our experience special. This was definitely one of the most hospitable places I have stayed at and cannot thank everyone at The Morrison enough!

Maddie Lesage: We LOVE staying here. Everybody on staff is so nice and hospitable. The hotel is gorgeous and always well-kept. The rooms are lovely, all of them. It’s a very special place for us and we always come whenever we can get a date night!

Luvdup DJs: This venue is perfect for an intimate smaller wedding. I had the pleasure of DJing a 60 person wedding at Morrison House last night and the staff were so lovely. Amanda & Chelsea are so accommodating & the food was delicious. It has lots of small spaces so if you have older guests they have somewhere to talk. The bar is also perfect for cocktail hour and great for some cool photos.

Daniela Nauffal: Let me start by saying this hotel does not meet the expectations of a 4-star hotel. I’ll go over negatives and positives of the actual hotel, but I also want to point out that we booked our stay with the Love Alexandria package and, unfortunately, the hotel staff did not seem very knowledgeable or prepared on it. They didn’t have our Key to the City passes when we arrived and we never got our water taxi passes, so we were unable to use them. The positives: - the hotel’s façade and common areas are beautifully designed and maintained. It is true to the style of Old Town while still remaining modern - the bathrooms in the rooms are very well designed and beautiful - the location is very convenient if you want to stay and walk around Old Town, which we did. - because the hotel restaurant is closed, the hotel is offering free wine from 5-6 pm every day. And free continental breakfast. Now to the negatives: - the room itself is nice looking, but the actual quality leaves a lot to be desired. For example, the mattress was rock hard and while it did have a topper, the topper was too small for the mattress so it kept rolling up at night, leaving us on the bare mattress. Kind of gross when you’re sleeping on a bed that many strangers have slept on, not to mention very uncomfortable. - the bedding was very cheap. The mattress had no fitted sheet so the top sheet that was used as a fitted sheet just slid around. The “comforter” was a thin fabric that was actually an insert with no cover. - even though the room was renovated, the heating system was not. The furnace was extremely loud and woke us up constantly throughout our first night, to the point where we had to turn it off for the subsequent nights. Even turned off, the furnace still made a loud humming noise that woke us up a couple times. - we booked a “ground floor” room, which we assumed would be the same floor as the lobby. Turns out the “ground floor” is actually the basement so we paid almost $300/night to stay in the basement. Although the hotel’s common spaces are truly beautiful, we had terrible night’s sleep the three nights we stayed at Morrison House so we would not stay there again. Additionally, for almost $300/night we expected better room accommodations.

Tina Colston: The room was well appointed and the customer service was excellent! Great location. Quiet yet accessible to King Street’s shops and restaurants. I plan on frequenting!

Heather: 12/30/21. Just wanted to update my review for my most recent stay at the Morrison House. The lady working the front desk, Monique, did an incredible job of not only checking people in, valeting cars, & running the wine hour but also dealt swiftly & incredibly professionally with a room issue I had at the same time! I did not realize I had been given a connecting room until someone checked in next door and put their tv on. I could hear everything loud & clear. It was not pleasant at all. Monique had my room changed in less than 5 minutes! Once again, what makes this hotel stand out is the staff.

citizenM Washington DC hotel: what do users think?

Joseph Wight: Wasn’t sure at first… Check in process was hassle free, loved that I could do it myself, not much available to help bring heavy/large luggage around but I managed. Room was smaller than I thought with an unorthodox style but the bed was massive and incredibly comfortable. Loved the fluffy pillows and the tablet being able to operate absolutely everything. The different cool soaps, tap water is safe to drink, then when I asked for cleaning, they weren’t sure when they’d get to it… then did it within hours which was a pleasant surprise. Modern, elegant, and hotel of the future… would stay again!

sierra hall: I loved my time here at the CitizenM. The decor was amazing and the cleanliness of the rooms were even better. Our check in went well and it was very easy. The showers are amazing and the bed is so comfy. The bar was my boyfriend and I favorite spot to hang out, the bartenders were lovely and we even made cool with the manager at the bar! She made us some awesome drinks. The only thing I didn’t like was the parking situation. You have to find random parking on the street. However, the hotel was so nice that it outweighed that burden of finding parking. Overall, I loved my experience the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Radhika Somthankar: The rooms are very small, but white, crisp and clean. Good for a couple. The staff is helpful. Amazing lounge and common area. The kitchen is great. Close to the national mall which was very convenient. Could be better - we came by a red eye and found doors locked, there is a way to contact someone from outside but having this in checkin instructions would be great. We were sleepy and tired and closed doors caused some panic. You can hear everything from the bathrooms in the room, so some sound proofing would be good.

Blvknative: For my first time coming to this hotel, I truly didn’t know what to expect, but the citizenM definitely was more than I expected, comfy room with the bed pressed up against the window. They have these big shades, Night time and Day time. Which I thought was pretty cool. Being able to change the lighting in the room was fancy! Definitely set the mood for the night! Being able to control everything from the iPad in the room was amazing!Cool bar in the lobby. Only thing that threw me off was them charging for late checkout but either than that! I really liked this place and would totally stay again.

Richard Hardy: This hotel is amazing. Great location, compact room but with a very modern theme. For me though, it was the staff. All of them went above and beyond for me, no matter the question or time of day, with excellent local food recommendations and how to get in to a sold out museum 😊 Only thing I would ask is for my next stay, have more vegetarian food options, this is something I struggle with in the USA and I believe it would help you stand out even more.

College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center: what do users think?

Kimberly Johnson: The customer service is great and parking is easy. The manager Timothy is kind and helpful. Nice amenities and the restaurant/bar is good. Admittedly, the rooms are small. The overall facility is the draw, not the individual rooms so much. The art & sculpture galleries on the lower level is a nice bonus(though that technically is the UMCG art collection). There have a permanent and temporary artist exhibits. Overall, a comfortable place to stay and visit.

Dee: From the moment of check-in, my stay was great! Larry Rollins at the front desk was so helpful from checking me in to my employee forms that I needed. He was very warm and welcoming!! Thank you for the upgrade, we ENJOYED the suite greatly!! :) The hotel was very clean and every associate we encountered was very nice. We will definitely be back for another staycation!

Courtney Castriotta: Horrible. Bonvoy member and literally had a closet for a room. Literally. And at not a cheap rate. No AC and room was so stuffy. Could not lower it myself as it had been locked. Had to call in service who lowered the temp but vent ended up just blowing air and not cool air. Have horrible allergies so suffered all night without this. Putting in formal complaint.

Richie Rich: Attended a wedding and my shoes were destroyed in the freight elevator. I was somewhat taken aback that this 1st class hotel did not have handicap facilities. Very surprised. Then elevator broke down and had to be taken all around the property in order to reenter tje ballroom. The food and service was excellent. Gave 3 stars because of shoes destruction.

Li Ju: Pros: 1) hotel is clean 2) hotel has a free parking lot which is definitely convenient Cons: 1) Did not get upgrade for Marriott member 2) booked via a cherry blossom promotion link, but don’t understand why it didn’t apply to my booking, it supposed to get free breakfast plus subway cards, but I got nothing Overall a fine experience. But will not come again for stay.

Wendy M Gibson: Attended a conference here. Breakfast and lunch was provided. Great food selection and service.Lots of small rooms for small sessions. Plenty of restrooms too.

Extended Stay America - Washington, D.C. - Landover: what do users think?

Donovan Lewis: Upon pulling into the parking lot there was construction everywhere. When we got to the front desk, they were rude and ignoring the customers. She needed to speak up and ask if there were any questions from the guest. When we got to the room, the cabinets where falling and broken. There was a dirty looking shine stuff on the ceiling. Then when getting into the bed I found red spots on the comforter. It appeared to be blood. I did not sleep due to the vehicle traffic outside. Oh and the police were in the lobby talking to a suspect. Very disappointed in my stay will not come here again!

Mary Chambers: All the front desk staff is very pleasant and helpful, but the room on the second floor have too many roaches, on the wall, the inside/outside doors and in the bathroom. The front desk staff did ask me if I like to change room, for what, when the roache problem is everywhere in this hotel. The front desk staff provided me with a can of roaches spray, that was very helpful for them to do, the bathroom smell like weed from somebody room I did receive dirty towels and when it was time to change the sheets on the bed it had blood on the top sheet and the cleaning person removed it immediately. I hear it was no need to switch room because all the rooms has roaches problems. The workers that was making repairs Early Wednesday and Thursday Morning under my room and next door banging, removing flloor, wall, carpet, cabinets, furnitures outside of my room door after being released from the hospital. I woke up with a migraine headache 😫 both days and the manager said she did not know that the workers was working 🙃 I been here since February 16, 2022 until March 5, 2022 never again.

Angel Jenell: The staff are very nice and caring. Drew, Kayla and the manager Amanda are SO sweet! They are professional yet caring and really make sure you are having a comfortable stay by taking care of any needs that arise. Very thankful for them!

Carlos Gutierrez: Something‘s peculiar and possibly oxy sorbines act violation, American with disabilities act violations and possibly civil rights 1964 violations I’ll follow up with the state representative for Maryland and find out why you would put an accessible room three floors up there’s an emergency how do you get that person that’s needing X access to the first floor? That makes no sense! The front desk answers the guest room call to change rooms and the hotel answers the call with “Guest Services how May I held you? “ I was told to come to the front desk just for the clerks to attempt to upsell to a different quality room that this room was my selection. Clearly a sham bad guest service and clearly rude to a class of person!!! No guest services

Ananya: I planned for 3 days but I had to checkout in 2 days. I would say this is a weed Extended stay, even if you take no smoking room, you need think you are going into gas chamber. Additionally, you need to wait at least 1 hour to get assistance, surprisingly no one you see front desk. This is my last experience with extended stay and I will never book again.

RENEE Hatcher: Very good location. Close to shopping areas. Rooms clean. Good and mannerly front desk service along with polite and helpful housekeeping staff. Drew was very kind, helpful and made me feel welcome.I enjoyed my privacy and my stay.

Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center: what do users think?

jeff goldberg: Very nice Marriott hotel. Friendly and helpful staff Plenty of parking at somewhat reasonable price. Spacious, clean rooms. Superior shower. Central location in Rockville MD. Breakfast, and dinner available to order and pick up or deliver to your room for $5 fee. Limited selection of entrees. Complimentary water, otherwise no convenience store, but 7/11 close by. Pet friendly. Highly recommend.

Derryck Holston: My first time there. Stayed overnight for a conference connected to the Amphitheater. The Service was Outstanding and the room was very comfortable and reasonably priced. The breakfast was DELICIOUS and our Server named MERCEDES was AMAZING!!!! The Amphitheater venue was Fantastic as well! I truly enjoyed the stay and experience. Highly Recommended!👍🏼

Nicalena Neary: We attended an event at the Conference center of the Bethesda North Marriott. The food was very good. The service was excellent. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Tables were well spaced. The only problem was the acoustics in the large space. It was difficult to hear speeches especially seated in the back.

Amanda H: My family and I stayed here for a soccer tournament. The hotel was chosen for us. If given the choice, I would not have picked this particular one. Paid parking, no breakfast, no pool. The facility itself was very nice. I had asked for extra towels on three different occasions, but only received extra hand towels. So for four people, two nights, we had a total of two regular sized towels and a bunch of hand towels. The trash/dirty towels were not picked up daily, so by the time our stay ended, the trash was overflowing. And the vending machines on all 6 floors were empty.

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Washington DC - Silver Spring: what do users think?

Trent Brink: I realize that there are staff shortages so I won’t be too harsh with my review. The front desk staff were friendly and quick to help. My main complaint is that the room was in need of renovation and updating. Other then that the cookies were delicious and the valet was easy to use when it wasn’t too busy and we didn’t have issues with other people staying at the hotel. The location of this hotel is extremely convenient, close to the interstate, a metro station, the mall, and lots of restaurants. Which is why I picked this hotel.

Rebecca Everett Brady: While the staff was very kind and hospitable, the facilities were very old and dingy. The A/C units seemed like they were hanging on by a thread...set at 60F to achieve a temp of 75F. I did not feel comfortable touching things or putting my stuff down. I was thankful I only stayed one night, and would most definitely not stay again or recommend based on the building, unless they did a huge rehab.

Matthew Matack: The A/C is absolutely terrible in the rooms. They will send up maintenance and poke around but you know that there is no way get the A/C to blow cold air when the unit is not in your room. I expect that if it’s almost 100 degrees you would want your guests to stay comfortable. It would be great if the management could get this issue resolved, no one likes sweating though the night! The staff is friendly and the valet is fantastic. Read the other responses and notice the A/C is an issue, I wouldn’t recommend during the summer months.

Leila Camejo: Horrendous! Ghetto… no service if staying over one night. Didn’t get clean towels the following day on a 2 night stay. No coffee pod fill and no toiletry fill. No garbage removal neither. Bed was not made (understandable in these times) but no clean towels?!?! I had to call and get everything myself. Housekeeping didn’t speak english and front desk staff had ghetto attitudes! Area where hotel is located is despicable. Noisy hotel. You hear everything through the walls and outside the door. Poor selection of snacks in store. Rooms extremely small. Would NOT recommend anything about it. Paid too much ($200/night) for a tiny room and no service! Ugghhh!

Ziv Edri: I have only bad experience from this hotel. 83 degrees out side 95 in my room and the air conditioner is not working. Let the lobby know (didn’t even look at me when they were talking) and basically said Nothing we can do. Just wait. Didn’t offend to change the rood didn’t offer any compensation for the bad experience. They just didn’t care! Didn’t even want to refund after I said I would like to move to different hotel. They are the worst. Not planning to go near them in the future.

Adi Misigoy: If I could give ZERO stars I would. We arrived late last night because of flight delays - our room was HOT. We told the front desk they sent someone who turned it off and back on. We all took cold showers and tried to sleep. Everyone - including the baby - woke up SWEATING and none of us even used the sheets. We complained first thing in the morning. We were told it was this side of the building and would affect all of the suites. They were supposed to have someone fix it but if they couldn’t they’d move us to side of hotel that AC is working in but we’d have to be in two rooms - fine. Go out to spend the day out and about. Return at 6:30 PM and it’s HOTTER than the night before/the morning. Tell front desk. They say they are going to send the engineer and tell us not to take hot showers as that will make the problem worse. What?! Go out to dinner, return almost at 11pm - it’s HOTTER in the room. It’s 81 degrees outside and it feels COOLER than this room. Hallways are cooler - so clearly the AC is working somewhere. Now they are claiming the whole hotel is like this and that our room is at 60 degrees. We run our AC at 70/71 degrees at home and it’s COLD there’s no way this is even 80 degrees in here. We have grandma with us and a baby - this is ABUSIVE! I booked this directly through Hilton and I’m a Gold HHonor member. This is BEYOND unacceptable. And this isn’t even going into the mold in the shower, ripped up carpet between the bedroom and living room, dingy state of everything. DON’T STAY here even if it’s free! At this point they should refund us and get us a room at another Hilton Hotel in the area and transport us. Front desk claimed they’d refund us - and bring fans to the room - when my husband goes back minutes later to say sure refund it (in case we can find somewhere else to move ourselves) - and she back peddles and says she can only refund one night on points (even though I booked directly with Hilton) and we are having to live through this hellish heat for our THREE NIGHT STAY!

amber then: We traveled to the area for a family members funeral and had made a group reservation for 12 people. Every single one of our rooms were disgustingly musty and hot. We called front desk to tell them our rooms were incredibly hot even though the thermostat read 60 degrees. They sent a tech that was in the room for no more than 1 minute, he said it was fixed but he didn’t do anything at all. We all slept without any covers and were still drenched in sweat. We asked to change rooms in the morning and they sent us to another room that was exactly the same. The rooms are significantly hotter and more humid than even outside. The AC only blows the fan, not cold air. Horrible experience.

Erin Rota: We had an excellent stay especially considering the raging Omicron infection rate and the fact that the employees were working the Christmas holidays. The hotel was quiet, the linens and towels were fresh and white, the room was clean, the valet parking service was excellent. Coffee was provided in the lobby. The hotel provided a relaxing place for us during our family visit.

The Westin Crystal City Reagan National Airport: what do users think?

Cary Owsley: Overall was a decent hotel with excellent access to the metro. The bar downstairs was nice as well, and the food was decent. The reception desk was accommodating and courteous as well. The rooms were nice and had convenient places to charge your electronics. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was well appointed with a rain shower and wand. Lastly, the parking garage was easy to access below the hotel. However, my complaint was that I could hear the guest next door speaking on the phone. It was difficult to fall asleep until he ended his call.

A Sabbagh: I had a great stay at this hotel with my colleagues from work. It looks amazing the moment you step in the lobby, but once you’re in the elevator till you reach your room, it’s not as amazing as it seemed when you stepped in! A little outdated…everything else! On my second day, it was scheduled (by the hotel) to change all access units on all the hotel room doors!! I was in my room working when the team came to remove, drill and fix the new access units, after which I had to visit the front desk to change my access cards. Nevertheless, the beds were so comfy and the room in general wasn’t bad at all. It has a refrigerator and a coffee maker, which was great! They have a small shop downstairs if you need water or some snacks. There bar is quite nice with variety of drinks but the seating was sometimes limited. Breakfast was surprisingly below average, and sometimes awful, besides one of the staff in the restaurant was quite rude when talking to him. Location is great, just 5-7 mins drive to downtown DC, and many restaurants and bars just around the corner (5 mins walk).
