Pizza University & Culinary Arts Center: what do users think?
Ralph Riley
Ralph Riley: Amazing experience!! Everyone at Pizza University went above and beyond to make sure the atmosphere was supportive and collaborative. Jonathan Goldsmith, John Arena and Scott Wiener make a tremendous team. So glad I took the class.
Bobby Lang
Bobby Lang: Absolutely a phenomenal experience. Never knew how much there was I didn’t know about pizza! The entire course was full of passionate and very knowledgeable people that I will have in my network forever.
Allison Birney
Allison Birney: We had a great time! Chef Sed(?) took time to answer all of our questions and was the ultimate professional throughout the class. Making our own pizzas at the end was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend this class.
Brenda Leadley
Brenda Leadley: Chef Sed is great! My friend and I had a wonderful time learning how to make pizza. We also got to eat our delicious creations! Chef Sed has a passion for pizza and was a kind and patient teacher. Highly recommend!
Eric MIller
Eric MIller: Great experience, learning different traditional dough methods, recipe formulation, and of course the stretching and making of dough. Working with world class instructors and amazing Marra Forni Ovens!
Valentina Ossa

University of the District of Columbia Community College (UDC-CC): what do users think?
Henok D
Henok D: The most terrible school I have ever been to. Both the main campus and the Community college are the same. A lot of slow, unprofessional, and rude staff who keep yelling at students when they are not even doing their jobs properly. I submitted a certain paper to the Financial Aid office and they told me they lost the paper after weeks that I had to pay about $1700 out of pocket. During the 2020 Pandemic, I tried to contact them as I was having difficulty to waive the Student Insurance that is provided through the school because I already had an insurance coverage; no one answered my call until it was due. And now Miss Gaskon told me that I have to pay about $1300 for the coverage I never needed. Mis Gascon was there in 2018/19 when I had the same issue; she helped me waive it then. I could not go to her office in 2020 be a of Covid restrictions. I tried to solve the issue communicating with them but nothing got better yet. I would not recommend anyone to go the UDC unless one needs a headache. I cannot deny that there are some great Professors such as Prof. Sonnie Abebaku. However, individuals are very helpful to us, it’s overall experience at the university that makes a difference in our academic lives. So far, my overall experience is just TERRIBLE!
Yesly Turcios
Yesly Turcios: GLEN DOMINA rudest person ever if you are working under a facility and a Student is inquiring on information/assistance you should be able to provide that at your upmost ability but unfortunately that was not the case here..
Danny Hirschfield
Danny Hirschfield: I graduated UDC-CC with an AA degree in Liberal Studies Fall Class of 2015 Alumnus. This college really helped me develop my learning skills as I am an older non-traditional student that started as a freshman with very little prior knowledge and discipline in academia. I have transitioned to the UDC flagship campus pursuing my BA degree in Political Science as a pre-law student. This university is the most affordable place to get a good quality education being the only public higher learning institution in Washington, D.C.
Jamilya Allen
Jamilya Allen: Okay So I applied about 3weeks to a month ago and I’ve yet to receive any papers informing me if I was missing any documents or etc. I’ve called at least 5 times a day for about two weeks straight leaving voicemail after voicemail and no one has yet to return my call not only did I call multiple times I have also emailed them multiple and no response. It’s ridiculous what’s the point of having an admissions office if they not even going to pick up the phone, guide you in the process of being admitted or anything else like you guys get paid to do nothing it’s sad.
h T
h T: This University has only good professors! But getting a Bachelor from the UDC will not get you a job!! Their jobs faire is just to get a website from the companies and brochures lol!
Jordan Stewart
Jordan Stewart: The financial aid lady with gray hair and dreads is disrespectful af. Most of the staff here are disorganized and rude. I disenrolled 2 months ago. When I went to disenroll the lady was eating crab legs in front of me. Come to find out she never really disenrolled me, and I had to go back up there today. Smh. I really wanted this to work bc I’m a Dc Resident but I’m enrolling at PGCC.

SUCCOTASH: what do users think?
Rachel Murphy
Rachel Murphy: Ordered the taste of the south. The food was overall pretty good, plentiful and the sampler was a nice way to try many things. Full orders at other tables looked very large. Sadly the overall experience was not great and I’d probably not return. A couple small things combined were disappointing. A raw piece of chicken replaced with a piece way over cooked (clearly the kitchen was mad) - we never ever send food back but raw chicken we did. The manager seemed to place blame on us (a lucky chicken vein). I have a shellfish allergy and asked if possible to get a scoop of the grits(without shrimp) just to taste and that was ignored. Wasn’t looking to substitute but it would have been nice (or told not possible if the shrimp was cooked in). Then a 4 top was placed at a table next to us when the restaurant was fairly empty with many open tables in the same server section. In covid times seemed odd. Plenty of brunch places in dc so I’ll try others instead of returning
K R
K R: Succotash kinda sucked…. The atmosphere was great, our waiter Mike was patient and kind and we loved his service! When it came to the food it was disappointing- sticky buns: dry, waffles: hard, hang over special: salty, with gravy on a fried egg instead of the biscuit… why?… If you’re coming for food lower your expectations. If you’re coming to feel sophisticated yet comfy you’re in the right spot. I also noticed the people next to us not finish their food. Worth noting.
Bryan Mroz
Bryan Mroz: Went on a Friday evening. It was full but we had reservations and we were seated quickly. Service was a bit slow but our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. Food was perfect. We had Shrimp and Grits and Catfish. Great ambiance. There was love music mostly soul and jazz.
Vin D Sr.
Vin D Sr.: Amazing menu and a fine meal. Staff was great and we enjoyed the atmosphere! Chicken and waffles outstanding as was the smoked steak! Sides were awesome too! So good we had to take a few orders to go! Highly recommend. Make a rez to secure a table at this hot spot.
Chris Taylor
Chris Taylor: Amazing space with comfy booths. They had live music which was a nice touch. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was good, I enjoyed some food came as starters. Loved the milk punch cocktail and the honey old fashioned. A good spot.

The St. Regis Washington, D.C.: what do users think?
Lisa
Lisa: You will hear the food and beverage director before you see him. During our trip, he raised his voice multiple times quite angrily - it was quite concerning to hear him speak to guest service staff in such a way and that he was comfortable enough to do it in front of guests, too. Otherwise, my husband and I had an absolutely lovely stay. Our room was amazing and there were lots of friendly faces. I also especially enjoyed the pillows, and I wish I had thought to ask what type they were as they were super comfy.
Squirrely
Squirrely: Five stars all around. The rooms are elegant, updated, clean, and comfortable. Each staff member I dealt with went above and beyond to help. I was especially pleased with the front desk employee who grabbed me a cup of coffee in the middle of the night when I had to catch an early flight. The location is excellent and there are plenty of restaurants and attractions within walking distance.
Liem Huynh
Liem Huynh: We stayed for one night in the Metropolitan Suite in June 2022. The room desperately needs renovation and service was nonexistence. Disappointing experience overall. No prearrival email, no response when I emailed the butler service for restaurant reservation, zero communication from the butler during the entire stay. Unfriendly lobby staff, no greeting, had to open the door on my own at times. The Metropolitan Suite was old and in need of a renovation. Dirty pillow cases, worn out carpets, water from faucet smelled a little punky and we even found pieces of shattered glass on the floor. Only positive experience was the check-in, after that everything went down hill. Recommend trying something else while you’re in DC. Much better experience at the Ritz Carltons if you’re a Marriott fan.
Joe J.
Joe J.: Amazing tea experience in DC, probably the best in terms of service, flavor, presentation and selection of teas. The cherry blossom touch is a nice and pleasant surprise. Although it is on the pricey end, definitely recommend!
Ayesha SH
Ayesha SH: I attended the Whimsy event on April 1. Pros and cons below: Pros: Wine was good. We ordered a Napa cab so it was costly. Ambiance was decent. The best part was their waiters who were super friendly and hospitable. Cons: I was told parking would be validated prior to attending the event. On the day of they refused. We spent upwards of $600 and they wouldn’t validate the parking. Food was ok. I didn’t feel that great later at night. The princess thing was childish, hilarious, and unnecessary. Adults attend these kinds of events not kids. Overall not worth the money they charged us.

Pinstripes: what do users think?
Raja Haider Hussain
Raja Haider Hussain: Went for dinner with family this evening. This location is perfect for a weekend drinks, lunch and dinner. One of the best spots near Georgetown waterfront. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and both options offer a lively ambiance. The staff is very attentive , efficient and courteous. They have carefully selected menu and the food we ordered was served fresh and the quality was above par. Their Calamari, Wings, Pizza, Ceasar Salad, Lasagna and chicken sandwiches were really good. However the grilled chicken with Caesar salad was very dry and not that great. We were also offered dessert on the house ( Brownie and ice cream) which was delicious. Over all a nice hangout spot and highly recommended for a casual friendly outing with good food and surroundings.
Mark Orebiyi
Mark Orebiyi: My project team had out quarterly engagement activity at Pinstripes recently. We had a slot from 4-6pm. They give you a 15min grace period which is nice. We started bowling and 30 minutes in our lane started acting up. The lane mechanic came to fix it while me and my team ordered food. The food is fantastic. From the wings to the pizza we really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, our lane was never fixed. After an hour from when it stopped working we were offer to go play Bocce Ball for 30min prior to use leaving. The Manager (Leo) was very accommodating and cover our bowling cost as we well as you bocce ball game. Although they had issues the food was amazing and they took good care of us.
Fredrik Otter
Fredrik Otter: Generous portions and innovative kitchen. Happy Hour prices are fantastic and the location fabulous. Slow service, but when the weather is nice that is only a plus!
Stephen Balza
Stephen Balza: Just enjoyed a nice meal outside along the C&O Canal on a stunning July evening. Our server was friendly, efficient, and attentive. The food portions (Baked Lasagna and Chicken Sandwich) were on the small side, but tasty and moderately priced. It’s a unique place in a great location (Wisconsin Ave a couple blocks from M St and a couple blocks from the Waterfront). We didn’t try the bocce or bowling but it was full of folks who were enjoying it.
Response: Dear Stephen, Thank you for the five star review. We are thrilled you enjoyed our delicious selection of dishes on our patio. We are glad you enjoyed our Lasagna and Chicken Sandwich. We are glad you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon for bowling and bocce.
Judy Gordon
Judy Gordon: I couldn’t be more impressed with this experience in DC. From the minute I walked in with my 2 young grandsons until we left I found the staff to be professional and caring. They certainly care about cleanliness and sanitizing which I appreciated. The food was just delicious- we shared a pizza and scrumptious warm brownie with ice cream for dessert. Do not miss it. The boys loved having the bumper rails automatically pop up when they took their turn. They also loved being able to create various scoring games using animated characters. It was so kid friendly. I felt that the each employee went out of his/ her way to make our experience a terrific one. There’s no other reason to go to any other bowling facility to have a good time.
Bri M
Bri M: It was my first time bowling at Pinstripes. We had a great time. I will definitely return. The food was awesome and the staff very friendly and attentive. Found that the music was a little loud at times but overall it was a great experience. Parking is underneath and accessible off of Wisconsin Avenue which is very convenient if you are not one to look for street parking. Highly recommend if getting together with family and friends interested in experiencing an upscale bowling activity.
Response: Dear Bri, Thank you for your wonderful review! We are so glad you enjoyed the food, service and bowling! We hope to see you again soon!
Thomas Weber (halifax9)
Thomas Weber (halifax9): Very good bloody Marys. Not overly done. Just right. The lobster and egg bruschetta is delicious. Although I would say the bread is unnecessary. Service started slow but got better. A very nice place. Oh by the way, they have bowling and bocce too!
Response: Dear Thomas, Thank you for the feedback. We are glad you had an amazing experience and enjoyed our Lobster & Egg Bruschetta and Bloody Mary. We hope to see you again soon for bowling and bocce.

The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown, Washington, D.C.: what do users think?
Jessica Leifer
Jessica Leifer: Disappointing. Can hear the highway from the room, and they supposedly didn’t have any other rooms to offer us. Definitely not worth the price. Rooms should be soundproofed better. Mediocre— nice Marriott at best. Probably could have spent $200 less and stayed at a hotel just as nice, and way quieter. The lobby is adorable and homey feeling. Service was great. Location is great.
Sean C
Sean C: For a high end hotel, the rooms were old, not well maintained, and very underwhelming. We were super disappointed when we got into our room. It was mediocre at best. It looks like what you would expect at one of the lower end Marriott properties, but not a Ritz. The shower is super small, the toilet is very low to the ground and uncomfortable. The bathtub was dirty, the towels were small, thin and not soft at all. The wallpaper also has stains in a number of places. The lobby of the hotel is nice and the location is good. There are two wings in the hotel and our room was in the West, so I don’t know if this is an older part of the hotel or not, but it could use major renovations for us to want to come back again.
Toni Dzinic
Toni Dzinic: My wife and I had our wedding at the Ritz in their Fahrenheit Ballroom, and what a beautiful night it was! We had ~60 guests and that is about the most people I’d personally recommend for the ballroom. Liliana Klein is the person to talk to when you want to plan a wedding there and she’s such a pleasure to work with. She walked us through everything from day 1. The food was excellent, the preferred vendors were also a joy to work with. Seriously, I’ve never experienced better service at a hotel. If you’re considering having your wedding here, do it! If you’re coming here for a night or two, or just to enjoy some dinner and cocktails, you also won’t regret it. We’ll be back!

gerard lyons
gerard lyons: Had a great dinner here with wounded warriors foundation. The building itself is beautiful and teh Ambassador was a great host. His parents were visiting to from UK and we sat with them at dinner, such a fun older couple!
christine savage
christine savage: Very un informal no help at all
Matt Warren
Matt Warren: No idea why so many of the reviews of this place are negative. I lost my passport and wallet whilst travelling the USA. Booked an appointment for an Emergency Passport online, followed the process and they even mailed me my Emergency Passport to a hotel I was staying at later on in my trip so that I could continue my plans. I had no issues using the Emergency Passport and the Embassy were even helpful and responsive to me when my scheduled flight out of Miami was cancelled (due to Hurricane Irma) and I had to get a flight out on a different date.
Julie Kuhl
Julie Kuhl: I have ONE simple question and what do I get? I get the worst British accent and a circle of nothing and I mean nothing. I need a working number for the Gov.UK. HM passport office. I got more information, better information from the United States immigration offices but I did not get a working phone number. What is the deal? Are they not here to help us? Seems to me that they, like the American government are off this week! I am so frustrate. If anyone has the correct phone number for the British Passport office please post it, post it anywhere, post it everywhere! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

PAUL Farragut North: what do users think?
Héctor Arduz
Héctor Arduz: Between medical appointments I took my wife to have breakfast. My wife ordered eggs Benedict w/avocado. The avocado wasn’t ripe. In fact it was hard and tough. Inedible. Sorry to report this. I do love the pastries, but will never again order something more complex, like Eggs Benedict chez Paul, Again… pity. Feeling disappointed
J Acharya
J Acharya: I got 3 pastries and a coffee. Everything was fresh and delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try their sandwiches and salads.
Celine Aka-Koffi
Celine Aka-Koffi: The mille-feuilles (napoleon) is fresh and tasty. We enjoyed chamomile and mint tea on a cold spring afternoon. Service was excellent.
Alok Sinha
Alok Sinha: Want to give a shout out to this place. I came in a few minutes before they were about to close and the staff were so helpful in getting me some last second pastries. I ordered a cheese danish and a few other pastries. They were all delicious. The prices were fair. Would recommend stopping by here for a pleasant dessert.
Nitzan Ainemer
Nitzan Ainemer: Great french boulangerie! The service was great, we’ve ordered two special breakfast, including bread, butter, jam, eggs benedict, coffee and orange juice for 50$ total, with taxes. The food was great! Would recommend!
Jamie K
Jamie K: I thought PAUL was a European only place til I moved to dc and it still gives me those vibes, except with american efficiency. Plus, I think PAUL has the best black coffee in the city. And the pasties are all ::chefs kiss:: but don’t miss the Gourmandise or if you like citrus, the citrus tart.
Kaiser Baam
Kaiser Baam: Honestly the seating outside with a good cup of coffee and a three layer moose and relaxing great place to relax and converse with friends. The staff are wonderful. Coffees good.
mustafa Suwaylih
mustafa Suwaylih: Amazing bakery. I had the chocolate croissant. It was perfect. Paul always surprise us with they amazing decorations. It was the first time I try the macaron and the taste wasn’t as I expected. It was bigger than the normal size. My friend who knows the taste of the macaron said it was great.
Azza T
Azza T: Ordered omelette and chocolate deluxe croissant. Their latte was very good! Not a busy place and friendly employees.

InterContinental Washington D.C. - The Wharf, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?
Kyle Lennon
Kyle Lennon: Shout Out to Meredith, she is a gem and a half at this hotel! This property is very new and certainly a show stopper, I love the ultramodern design and the bathrooms were stunning. I also loved the balcony overlooking the river and walkways. The bar had great service and great personalities to accompany your cocktails while they served you. Top notch hotel and will certainly make this my preferred DC hotel!
Adrienne Messe
Adrienne Messe: The staff at the InterContinental on the Wharf D.C. is all-round amazing. I am so happy we chose this venue for our recent event. Every member of their team is truly hospitable, and they are dedicated to every client’s success and every guest’s experience. The Sales and Event Managers were helpful/agile partners to us through multiple event date and contract changes, thanks Mayte & Alicia! The Banquet Director was dependable at every moment for our 3 day-event and made sure everything was executed to perfection, thanks George! The hosts at the front door/front desk helped all the guests in our room block have an easy and enjoyable stay for the duration of our event. Thanks to all for helping make our event a success!
Hope Poulsen
Hope Poulsen: Pool is WAY smaller than pictures, we were all shocked at how small. The pool deck gave me and every single one of my friends splinters. And, there are only 5 lounge chairs for the entire pool. Staff is very friendly, but we had to ask for the same requests multiple times. So they seem a little disorganized. Room was very nice & clean and the location is perfect! I chose this rating because of the value - it’s not a terrible place to stay by any means, but you don’t get what you pay for. Not unreasonable to have high expectations when paying almost $500 a night, and this place did not meet those expectations.

Courtyard by Marriott Washington, DC/U.S. Capitol: what do users think?
BC Turk
BC Turk: To start, the valet parking is outrageous but there is a garage literally right down the same road for about a third the price. The staff is super friendly. Housekeeping would speak to us and ask if we needed anything as we headed to the elevators. Everyone was always saying, Have a good day”. The amenities within the hotel room were good. We checked the sheets and filters and all was clean. Sheets are super thin but worked out okay. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and sink/bar. All the you need. I like the security they have coming in. It is a two minute walk to the Metro (red line). Would recommend for location being close to a walking path and the Metro.
Garrett Robak
Garrett Robak: Extremely friendly staff from the front desk, the cafe, management, housekeepers, and valet. Everyone was so pleasant and made the stay that much more enjoyable. The hotel is very modern and has very comfortable amenities. The hotel is also located in a really great section of DC where there are a ton of restaurants and shops that are within walking distance.
Response: Greetings Garrett Robak, Thank you so much for staying with us at Courtyard Washington DC US Capitol and providing us with feedback on your experience. Our team understands that providing genuine customer service is the key element that makes our valued guests such as yourself continuing coming back! We hope to see you on your next journey to the Nation's Capital. Hotel Leadership Team
Jean Ng
Jean Ng: We read a lot of negative reviews about this place and some is kinda true. Parking is an issue BUT we found a garage just across from the hotel inside the ELEVATION BUILDING which a full day charge is only $16 max. We left the car in the garage for the entire week stay and just use the metro as our main transportation. The room we got was nice and comfortable. Although we have an issue with the AC. The temperature is constantly at 73 even tho we set it for 68. A little stain on the couch but no big deal. The room also have good noise insulation (maybe I just slept through it since we walk so much during the day) Big shout out to Miss Nu who checked us in. She just brighten our day and made us feel special. There is a refreshment table set up with coffee tea water and cookies for free after the breakfast period. Tons of food options around and trader joe’s is just 6mins away on foot towards Union Market.
ESB NYC
ESB NYC: Busy and basic Marriott in NE DC. It was fine for what we needed but I’m not too enthusiastic. Room was clean. There were some kinda gross stains on the sofa/ottoman that were unappealing but we’re not too fussy. They charge $45+tax for daily parking but you can self-park across the street for $16 a day including tax, literally 3 minutes walk. The morning coffee situation was not very well organized. There were also some strange service issues with the front desk. We stayed in the same room but we utilized two separate reservations, the front desk seemed very confused about this and they came up to our room with a rather confrontational demand that we come downstairs to check out and check into the room again although we had been told on the phone that we were good to go. Not really a big deal but I felt that the aggressive posture was unnecessary and left me with a bad taste. On top of that, I am a gold Bonvoy member and I would’ve been entitled to a room upgrade which I declined for the convenience of remaining in the same room. One thing that I believe some other people commented about is that you cannot control the temperature in your room effectively. There is a thermostat and you can make the numbers move up and down a bit but it doesn’t appear to have any effect on the temperature in the room which seems to be controlled centrally. There were a couple of evenings where we were uncomfortably warm. On the plus side, you are just a couple of minutes from the Noma metro station and there is also a Dunkin’ Donuts close to that. You’re also about a 8 to 10 minute walk from the Union market area which has a Trader Joe’s and some great restaurants and other food options inside the market. If not for the convenience of the location and the comparatively reasonable price, this would probably be a three star review.
