Lincoln's Waffle Shop: what do users think?

Chelli Smith: Chicken wings were seasoned just right with an amazing crunch. The waffles were soft without being soggy and they were so good. By the time I looked up my teen had inhaled her French toast so I didn’t get to taste those, but when I asked her rating scale of 1-5 I could barely get the words out before she said 5. This place is the perfect hole in the wall/mom-n-pop type spot that lets you know the food will be good. We will be back!

Claire Mizutani: Stopped by for breakfast with my brother. We were seated at the counter and served pretty quickly. The chicken wings were very crispy and the grits had a wonderful consistency. My brother said the eggs were cooked exactly as he asked and was happy the waffle wasn’t too sweet.

Michael Rusk: What a great find in downtown DC. The wait was about 15 minutes but well worth it. The host was such a character and kept us entertained. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. I had a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on a bagel. My wife had a waffle and sausage side. Coffee was brewed fresh. Warning — on the day we were there, 3/26/22, their credit card machine was out of order and they were only accepting cash. The ATM around the corner was broken also! Plan on $15 per person unless you’re really hungry.

Janess Backstage Chicken & Waffle Kitchen 3: what do users think?

Larry “Big Schlim” Mcleod: So here’s what happened…I was researching fried chicken spots, I found one, I went to the spot, I ordered their food, I got the food, I was skeptical, I ate it, and it exceeded my expectations!! Good people when I tell you that the Fried chicken at this establishment is delectable…STAMP THAT!! On my initial review of this place, @janess_backstage_kitchen , I took a bite out of the Halal chicken, and waffle, (pictured-$12) and I gave it the Big Schlim grade of DELICIOUS!! So I finished the review, and started pushing. While pushing, I kept dipping into the container with the chicken in it, taking bites. I did this so much so, that I got viciously honked at while stopped at a green light. I crushed that meal before I arrived at my next destination…and I wasn’t even hungry!! That’s some good a** chicken my good folks…please believe me…it’s officially STAMPED!! So this spot is a licensed, black owned, startup establishment that I decided to give some go too…I’m super happy that I did. With curbside service only, Janess’s has a very simple menu that includes shrimp and grits (pictured $12), Belgian Waffles, Halal fried chicken, hand cut Zentachi fries, and a house made mumbo sauce chicken combo that comes with a Belgian waffle. That’s it. For now!! I also ordered their shrimp and grits (pictured-$12), that came in a container with enough room to feed 3. It smelled good, but aesthetically it didn’t look that great. I took a bite and seemed it DECENT. But once again, I pulled off and I kept dipping!! So this one is officially DELICIOUS!! The more, and more i dipped into these meals, the better they got!! Customer service was excellent (these are some truly kind hearted folks good people), and online ordering is easy. Now In order to perfect your meal, they take their time. So add 30 mins to your pick up time. Online ordering was simple, and parking was available. Good people…trust me on this one…get the chicken, be patient, and enjoy. That’s it. #bigschlimsreviews #blackowned #halalfriedchicken #shrimpandgrits #belgianwaffles #housemademumbo #deliciousness #goodeats #stamp #tryit #startup #thatsit

Unconventional Diner: what do users think?

Zeyu Hu: Went to Unconventional Diner for both brunch and dinner and let me tell you they didn’t disappoint at all. Brunch: Got three different items to share for brunch, and each was unique in its own way but complimented each other so well. The shrimp and grits were perfect. The BBQ shrimp had an amazing smokey smell which really made it stand out. The biscuits were also amazing, nice and crispy and the house made sausage was great. The blueberry pancakes were the fluffiest I’ve ever had, a great sweet treat to end the meal. Dinner: Came back for dinner a week later and it blew me out of the water again. As the name suggests, the menu has a large variety and when the waiter tells you you can’t go wrong with anything, they ain’t lying. We got such a variety of food - from French to southern, Chinese stir fry to Cuban. It just all works so well. Bottom line: A must visit if you are in DC. The best wait staff and service. But remember to book ahead!

Claire Mizutani: Went out to dinner with my family and a friend from school. Great food! I really enjoyed the mezze and the Mac n cheese. Speedy service and great labeling on the menu for those with dietary restrictions. I wish that the outdoor seating area had heaters but now that the weather is getting warmer that may be less of an issue

Christopher Guarin: Was in town to check out the Cherry Blossom Festival. We made a point to stop in for some brunch before walking all over town. We were definitely not disappointed. Everything we tried was delicious! From the drinks, to the Everything Lox, and Chicken and Waffles....every bite was amazing. We will be back for more on our next trip!

Eric Lee: Got the cheeseburger and fried chicken. Both were phenomenal. Simple dishes but everything was cooked and seasoned so well. Price for these dishes were affordable. Great vibe as well, pretty large space. Will be back to try more!

Queen Melissa: Wonderful for family outing , a date and friends brunch. Everything was outstanding. The cleanliness was good. The customer service and server was really nice. My kids loved everything and they are usually picky eaters. This was my first time eating shrimps and grits all I can say it was amazing. Overall,we were a satisfied family and will be back again.

Ben Multak: Unconventional diner dishes but delicious flavors. Everything I’ve tried here has hit and the restaurant itself is a well oiled machine. Highly recommend if you find yourself in the area. Really enjoyed the Crab Fritters and Fried Chicken

Sirius Fidelity: This was one of my favorite food places on my trip. The place was a pretty good size, clean, and bright. There also appeared to be outside dining as well. I ordered the kid size portion of the Blueberry Lavender Pancakes as pictured, and the Shrimp and Grits. Nothing short of amazing. Prices were reasonable and the portion sizes good. I highly recommend this place.

Christal Young: I love a place that has vegan as well as non-vegan options. This place was so good, I came back two days in a row. Their kale nachos were just superb and their cauliflower salad with falafel was also delicious and filling. The colors and ambiance are also nicely done. There are several dining spaces, including indoor and outside seating, each with its own vibe.

ReCreate Artworks: I found this gem about a 20 minute walk north of the mall. I cannot recommend it enough. There was plenty of seats, the staff was quick and efficient, and the restaurant itself was stunning. It makes you feel luxurious without having the price tag that usually comes with it. It’s very affordable but the quality of food is beyond the price. I got a double shot of espresso and the Brussel Sprouts with Fried Egg. 10/10.

Chunhee Hong: We had buttermilk pancake, corned beef hash, cappuccino and rise & shine. All delicious! The customer service and server were really nice. Overall,we were satisfied and will be back again to try other menu!

Founding Farmers DC: what do users think?

Tyler Davis: Quality food and drinks! Stopped by while out and about visiting DC with the family. Short walk from several metro stations. Reserved a table during lunchtime the morning we went and was seated minutes after we showed up. Staff was attentive and my drink was never empty. Reasonable prices for the quality food you get considering the location and love the bar menu. Was recommended this place by several people and it was quickly apparent why. Will definitely visit again next time we are in DC!

Konstantinos Rizakos: We were seated promptly at our reservation time. The hosts and servers were polite and effective, albeit the food and drinks took a while to come out. Everything was very very tasty. The meat in particular. Try the prime rib, and the pork chops - but you may want to ask that they cook less than you usually like because ours were slightly over cooked.

Kimberly Giang: Omg so yummy. Visited DC for the first time and found this restaurant for breakfast. It definitely did not disappoint! It was so yummy we came back the next morning. We reserved a table online and good thing we did because it gets crowded fast. Our table was ready when we arrived and all of the staff was very friendly. Food came out fast. The French toast was so unique and tasted amazing. I loved the Eggs Benedict and how crispy the hash browns were! Definitely would come back!

WooDo Jedi: Good service! Our server was outstanding. (Front hostess and host didn’t make us feel welcome though - we felt like cattle coming through the door). Our orders came our timely and had that flavor profile that spoke of home. We would definitely return here!

Frankie Painter: This is our 3rd time here and WOW, everything we’ve ever ordered has been amazing! We always start with the honey cornbread and this time I got Scallops Meunière with butternut squash risotto and my husband got catfish with grits and green beans. My scallops were cooked to perfection - they cut like butter. The atmosphere here is warm and cozy but lively, although there were way less people this time because of social distancing restrictions. Our waiter was super! We had to show an ID and proof of vaccination. Highly, highly recommend!!

Ying Liang: Friend took me here for dinner when I visited DC. We went on a late weekday evening. Definitely call for reservations ahead of time because it was incredibly crowded. I’m not sure how long we would’ve had to wait if we didn’t plan for that. Our waitress was very nice, food took a while, probably because it was so busy! So plan some time to catch up and relax. It was sort of dark and loud but the restaurant still had nice ambiance. I got the chicken and waffles… and oh my goodness, it was the best fried chicken and the best waffles I’ve ever had. So freaking good. The green beans were crunchy/fresh and the mac and cheese was decent. Not sure what sauce it came with but I was enjoying it! I would probably try to get here for early brunch next time instead. Definitely recommend you stop by if you get the chance.

Goose Prevot: Stumbled upon this restaurant while walking over towards the Lincoln Memorial. The atmosphere was awesome. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I liked that the craft cocktail spirits were distilled by the restaurant. We were able to purchase a bottle to take home as well. The food was very tasty. It is a definite try if you are around the area.

American Best Chicken & Waffle: what do users think?

Marissa Dee: Wide variety of food options. Everything we had was tasty! I enjoyed the chicken tenders and waffles. Chicken was well seasoned and the waffle was close to perfect (fluffiness, sweetness, texture were all perfect)!

angelina nelson: I got a bunch of food for my family and it was amazing. The customer service was great, the food was fast and fresh. There is a variety of food and it’s all amazing!! Everything I had was so good! I highly recommend.

Ak Alam: I loved the chicken biryani extra spicy and it tasted like what my dad use to make. Very authentic Indian cuisine. Also can’t go wrong with chicken tender and waffle combo. Little place with big taste. Highly recommend this place. Definitely going back!

Shifuddin Babor: The chicken, fish and fries are awesome, hot and delicious especially with the seasoning and sauces. Recommend ordering on the phone, since it can get busy, but these Bengali’s really know how to cook!!🍟🍕🥘 🍮🍰🍔 check out. Alloys fresh food🔥🔥🔥

Yerania Poline: Food was yummy! Prices is affordable and the server was very friendly.

Mehjabeen Hossain: This store has so many food options ranging from american to indian. The store owner family is really nice. Biriani tasted really good.

Shantel Phillips: I ordered chicken and waffles and it literally exceeded my expectations. The chicken was hot and fresh and seasoned to perfection! Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. The waffles were so good! I ordered through door dash and it was still hot and fresh. I love spending money on food and this restaurant will definitely be getting more of my money lol.. somebody kiss the chef for me

Belga Cafe: what do users think?

Renee Ethier: Had a great brunch here! Everything was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised how good the pulled pork was in the cornbread waffle entree. The restaurant itself is very cute and has indoor and outdoor seating. Service was great - the food came out very quickly. Would definitely go back.

Ray Moreno: I have eaten here more than two dozen times mostly though it’s become my weekend early breakfast routine. I’ve had 80% of the breakfast/brunch menu items & am never disappointed. The waffles are amazing ( what you’d expect from a Belgium restaurant), the mushroom toast is so well seasoned snd a delight. The green eggs a really nice twist & I could go on… I loved the poached eggs with salmon and if you’re looking for traditional American you can get it there too. I’ve also had the Flemish stew and mussels. The stew is extremely flavorful (a top notch culinary experience) and who can go wrong with a mussels in a white wine, garlic butter sauce with plenty of herbs to add the “wow” to the flavor. I am not a drinker but I did enjoy a really nice glass of Cabernet with the stew and it was an incredible match. They have a wide selection of wines. Overall if your looking for wonderful food experience, you’ll have it here. The service is also always great and Omar is my go to server. He adds a nice mix of professionalism/home style treatment. Amongst the best DC spots!

Alexander O'Neill: Eastern market is such a great place for food. Belga is one of neighborhoods more upscale haunts with a great selection of Flemish and French dishes. You can’t go wrong with the entrees though you may have more fun splitting a few of their many apps. The cocktails are also delicious!

Brigitta Danyi: The coddled egg in the bokaal! That was my order on the picture ! First time I had brunch in Belgian restaurant ! The place was full, then the owner come to welcomes us and try to find a table where we all can seat down. After a min. we was at the bar what we don’t mind. People very friendly there, I was surprised food arrived soon fresh hot and yummy . (We all order different brunch) Coffee latte was great then I saw the lady at the bar made the Bloody Mary so my friend order for us too! If you are in DC we definitely recommend this place ! See you, and thanks for the excellent service!

Mark Orebiyi: My girlfriend planned this extravagant day for her and I and it included Brunch at Belga Cafe (which is from 11am-3pm on the weekend). The restaurant fits a descent amount of people. Their drinks are awesome, I recommend the Bellini and B’Mimosa. Their service was great. I had the Lamb and Chorizo Burger and my girlfriend had the Fried Chicken and Waffles. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Mehmet Esen: Great atmosphere for brunch! The waffles were delicious. No wonder the place was packed. We will return when the weather is better to enjoy sitting outside.

Anna V (Chapacatt): To keep it short, the cafe is good but overpriced for what it is. It was nearly 18$ for an avocado toast and an over dressed “side salad”. While the staff and outdoor seating are nice, the price was just not worth it. For 18$ I would have expected even better service, higher quality ingredients, better coffee, and an atmosphere more conducive of a cafe (blasting the top 40 at a cafe just isn’t the vibe). The toast was very “instagramable”, but I would have preferred something with more flavor.

Dwayne Thomson: Streetside seating is charming, and the menu has many options. Not sure how much of it is authentic Belgian, but the venison tomahawks were fantastic. Would have enjoyed the drinks options to reflect the Belgian theme too, but the house cocktails, more Heartland-American than anything else (mulled wine, apple cider, bourbon), were quite decent.

SUCCOTASH: what do users think?

Bryan Mroz: Went on a Friday evening. It was full but we had reservations and we were seated quickly. Service was a bit slow but our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. Food was perfect. We had Shrimp and Grits and Catfish. Great ambiance. There was love music mostly soul and jazz.

Vin D Sr.: Amazing menu and a fine meal. Staff was great and we enjoyed the atmosphere! Chicken and waffles outstanding as was the smoked steak! Sides were awesome too! So good we had to take a few orders to go! Highly recommend. Make a rez to secure a table at this hot spot.

Chris Taylor: Amazing space with comfy booths. They had live music which was a nice touch. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was good, I enjoyed some food came as starters. Loved the milk punch cocktail and the honey old fashioned. A good spot.

Open City: what do users think?

Deny Kostadinova: The place is very nice and pleasant, outside seating area seems a better option since inside there is no AC and only fans so it is noticeably hotter. I loved that they had oat and almond milk to substitute whole/skim for cappuccino. The hash brown is nicely cooked - crunchy and in a square. If they were to have booths inside the place I would give it a 5 star. But amazing as they have a bar inside too. Prices aren’t as expensive as other restaurants that I visited nearby. The waitress was extremely nice and talkative to us.(:

D L: Open City is one third of a Greek-owned Diner trilogy. All three spots are solid for good food at a fair price. Very Casual. Full Bar. No set vibe -You will see all types of people as a situations when you walk in. Always friendly service! Coffee and Tea options have a gravity all their own within the Menu; the selection is as interesting as it is diverse. I strongly recommend the Dirty Chai (I ordered mine with a shot of Vodka- why not!?). I have yet to encounter a menu item that is even remotely unpalatable. I will say Breakfast is their strong suit, especially for Dinner! :)

Numba “Numba” 1: The overall vibe was retro with the decor and the interior design. The waiters were both professional and polite with the food being absolutely delicious. I highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy an appetizing meal.

Stephen Dobbs: We come down from Baltimore to explore DC and this is our 2nd time eating here. We made sure to come back bc the food and prices were that good. My g/f had the half of chicken with mashed potatoes and asparagus. I had the 24th street chicken sammich again.... so good and we split the sm kale salad

Thomas Gibson: Great food and atmosphere! It’s a lively cafe, but you can easily carry on a conversation and there is enough space between the tables so you don’t feel super crowded around you. The London Fog was top notch. I also had the sausage calzone. The calzone was full of peppers, onions, and sausage and tasted great. A bed of arugula was also included with a great lemon dressing that wasn’t thick or watery and complimented the arugula very well.

Max Porter: Delicious hash brown bowl. Great vibe. Do recommend arriving early. I showed up at 0900 on a Sunday and got a seat immediately. When I left at 1000 there was already a wait of ~7 people outside.

Josh Axelrod: A sister restaurant to the AdMo fave, Tryst, Open City mostly captures the charm of its progenitor. All day brunch is a huge plus and the flatbreads and pies are a standout. A great choice for breakfast, brunch, or lunch.

Ben's Next Door: what do users think?

E Gilbert: My best friend came into town and we want to do something fun so we went to Ben Next Door we had a ball. The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious 😋. The music selection was on point to match the unlimited mimosas that came in 3 types cranberry, pineapple, or orange juice. I will definitely be visiting again soon. The only thing I did not like were the bathrooms they were not being kept up at all I went to the two located towards the back and the back of the toilet was missing from one hopefully this will be fixed. But there was toilet paper, running water, and soap so I was good. I definitely recommend checking out the brunch here.

Makeda Fox: The food was sooo good !! I got the shrimp and grits, along with the bread pudding for dessert. Very flavorful, the vibe was amazing. Our waiter Kash was very entertaining, attentive and funny. BEST waiter EVER. 10/10 I recommend!!

JENNii: Good spot for a casual Sunday brunch with friends. It’s right next to the famous ben’s chili bowl on U street. They food and service was good as well. I would definitely come back to this restaurant.

Toshia Brown: Very nice vibe, excellent food, no mambo sauce or cornbread muffins but the kale was so scrumptious and tender; seasoned to perfection

Gaelle Claude: The service may be a bit slow but their food is pretty good. I tried their burger and it was amazing! The picture may seem basic but it was bomb! I’ve been there on occasions where I ordered the chicken and waffle, which I would rate 7/10 because the chicken is a bit salty. I loved the cocktail I ordered I believe it’s called a chi-chi colada.. amazing! 10/10. The fish and grits is pretty good, I would rate it 8/10. My friend says the salmon meal was decent but she didn’t enjoy the sugar on her sweet potato fries. Due to slow service over all experience is 7/10

Josephs Boy: I really enjoyed this place & the owner was really nice. I enjoyed the history of the restaurant that was shared. I sat outside it was live but I enjoyed it. The Jerk Pasta was delicious and the mambo wings were the perfect appetizer (u can always tell when people take pride in what they serve). I will definitely be back my next trip to DC.

ajia brown: Ate brunch here and the food and atmosphere was perfect. Black owned restaurant filled with lots of people the line is always LONG

Busboys and Poets: what do users think?

Tina Marbury: My group is visiting from Ohio for a conference. The restaurant is pleasingly eclectic in its decor. The atmosphere was quaint. The server was pleasant and smile with authenticity as she assisted the three of us. The food was served hot and was pleasing plated. The taste of the good was amazing. The seasoning of the catfish, greens and cheddar and jalapeño grits was perfect. I could eat here every day.

Erika L Zamora: Loved this place! 1st time in DC and heard this was a great place to eat and shop for books. They were right! Staff was friendly and the energy was Perfect. I had the cheeseburger and some nachos- both were delicious. I tried the cauliflower bites and was pleasantly surprised! I asked our waitress what drink she recommended since I liked sweet drinks. She brought over a DC water and I ended up having 3. Bought some postcards, stickers, a jigsaw puzzle and a book. Would definitely visit again!

Destinee Douglas: This was a really nice place ! As you wait too can check out their book store . Had so many different wonderful and colorful books. We sat at the bar so we wouldn’t have to wait . We had ebony as our waitress. She was very sweet . As you can see in the photos there are two pics of soup. Norge the same ( wild rice vegetable soup) but one is a cup and one is a bowl! If you get the bowl you’ll likely be full before you even get your entree. But the soup was delicious and flavorful ! I definitely recommend that. Then I ordered the shrimp and grits ! Absolutely delicious. & I love how they has asparagus in it . Never had shrimp and grits with that in it. The shrimp were big & it was a nice portion . My friend got the chicken and shrimp pasta . It was kind of spicy but good as well! We both ordered their orange Juice too and you definitely want to because it’s really fresh. It gets made right in front of your eyes with a machine they have at the bar . Literally squeezes the oranges 😆 My cousin ordered a burger . Didn’t get a chance to take a pic but it was good . Last but not least we topped it off with their desert . A banana pudding I think with ice cream. It was good 😩 we were stuffed ! Lol

Peter Schwarzenbach: Good spot for a cozy breakfast. Prices are a bit steeper than expected but friendly wait staff and prompt courteous attention was always offered. My eggs where a tad overcooked but by no means bad. Would recommend for a unique and tasty experience

Aditi Rajvanshi: This place has amazing fresh food available at an affordable price. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options as well! Would definitely recommend if you love flavorful breakfast.

Jimmy T's Place: what do users think?

Alejandro “ZTXH” Zamora Jr.: This little place is a great find. The food is great, has a like home feeling, and feels like a small step into how things were a while back. Friendly service, great tasting food and amazing atmosphere. This is a Cash only establishment

Rachel Cipkins: The food was so good!! Can’t go wrong with a $3 grilled cheese at 7am. Make sure you have cash

Jimmy Thren: My name is also Jimmy T, which is why we went to check it out. After two years of the pandemic, this was the community we’ve been missing so much. Kind, thoughtful and fun staff. I love how sarcastic everyone was with each other. It’s a cozy, fill you up, delicious breakfast stop. If you are a craving a place that makes you feel like your apart of the family, this is it.

Mad Mike0082: Absolutely the best breakfast place I’ve found in DC. Super affordable , cash only , food is perfect. Not for the fancy crowd for the real down home folks. Will be back every morning.

Amanda Pedraza: Best diner experience I’ve ever had. Food was amazing service was even better ! 10/10 would recommend! The woman behind the counter is god sent !

Silvia Oakland: A great cafe on 14th!!! I stopped after a day of wondering and exploring and I’m so glad I found this place. Service was incredible and so was the food. I’m from a small town in the Midwest and I felt right at home in this little place. Thank you!

Muriel Cooper: Always a great time at Highlands! The food selections arr incredible and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Great spot for weekend Brunch in a quiet, unassuming neighborhood. Dine in or take out, you will be pleased with your decision to choose Highlands, anytime.

Jailyn Stone: Thia place was a true diamond in the rough. The reviews had me hype until I got there. I was skeptical but everything was so good. They had a vegan gyro that was delicious. My kids enjoyed the waffles. And hubby said French toast was very good. I was already stuffed but what I had of the grits was good. I would highly recommend this place.

Romona Foster: The Highlands was a nice surprise. I was invited to lunch at this wonderful little place. Service was excellent, the food was really good, the space was cozy, and I loved the art work and community environment. If you love community, culture and people, check the Highlands out! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Kelsey: Very cute spot in 16th St. Heights with reasonable prices and great food! Would definitely recommend coming in for breakfast.

The Greenhouse: what do users think?

Melissa Luke: The food is great, but the experience is what wow’d me the most! Wonderful ambiance, very cozy and not pretentious, and they give you a tiny upholstered foot stool for your purse!! We had tons of fun.

Miguel Curiel: Elegant experience, tasty food. Went in for brunch and place is 1) more beautiful than expected and 2) cheaper than expected. Great pick if you want to go have a nice talk + meal in somewhere iconic, fancy and affordable. Highly recommended that you reserve beforehand.

Mark Blanchard: Delicious brunch and beautiful restaurant. Classy high end touches all around.

Caitlyn George: Extremely accommodating. We walked here with the kids from our hotel excited to try a new restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised with how kind the staff were to squeeze us in. We will absolutely be sure to make reservations next time now that we know. The staff were friendly and offered special surprises for the kids upon sitting. Made them feel so special. This is a brunch that makes you feel upscale and special. The beakfast foods and drinks are highest quality, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We enjoyed every moment and will absolutely return! The kids loved it and enjoyed feeling fancy for the morning and insist that we go back.

G Dalmeida: A return to quiet elegance... The Greenhouse is fine dining for Brunch or Lunch. It felt so nice to enjoy a brunch that wasn’t rushed, or had me waiting 45+minutes to be seated. From the fine China to the very attentive staff and quiet ambiance The Greenhouse at the Jefferson Hotel will briefly make you feel as though you aren’t in Washington, DC but maybe a lovely summer home of a friend overlooking the river. The meal I selected was rather simple and traditional waffles with fresh fruit. They were prepared well not too crunch and definitely not to soft. Too much cream butter and a glaze over the strawberries were the only things I found lacking. But everything else was just perfect . Plenty of hot coffee served in slightly larger cups and a beautiful table sitting. I would recommend The Greenhouse to anyone who appreciates a slightly old school style dining experience. It made me glad I was up on all things Emily Post. (aka dining etiquette).

Sheneze Jones: Good food and great service!

Sticky Fingers Diner: what do users think?

Alyssa Miron: I get overwhelmed when I find a vegan place with this many amazing options. The chick’n tenders were so good paired with a salad, and I took home some tofu “egg salad”. I’ll be back for a Buffalo chick’n wrap and all the pastries. This place is a gem!!! Very attentive service too.

Harmony Hitchner: The food came out looking like an ad! Beautiful, but according to the family it was just as tasty as it looked! I didn’t get a pic of other food because it was gone before I knew it. The service was beyond amazing! Very sweet , and very helpful staff. I just wished they had more allergy friendly food. But overall, would absolutely bring friends and family back to eat there!!

Zack Bloom: This place is unbelievable. The perogie are so good! The poutine was also shockingly great. Don’t miss the Chocolate Egg Cream (no real egg involved of course, it’s all vegan!).

L Ram: Can we please get a Fare Well in Atlanta! I’m so thankful I had several vegan options when visiting D.C., I knew after reading reviews I had to visit Fare Well and I’m so glad I did Very small but charming diner serving breakfast all day (Wednesday – Sunday), they also have a bar for people interested in adult beverages. Saturday and Sunday they have a brunch menu. I visited late Sunday around 3pm and there was not wait but it was pretty full inside. I was dining solo and unfortunately couldn’t try too many items, I definitely wanted to try the Buffalo Cauliflower ($12) and it was SO GOOD! I cleaned the bowl and really wish I had this recipe. Its spicy whipped cashew and cauliflower dip served with soy and sheet free tortilla chips. For my entrée I ordered Chilaquiles ($13). It was very filling and a large portion, I couldn’t finish my dish. I loved all of the ingredients and thought it was flavorful but did add some hot sauce since I like my food to have a little spice. The Chilaquiles included tofu scramble, black beans, poblanos, roasted tomato rojo sauce and cilantro crema served with roasted potatoes. I also added avocado ($3). Service was okay, my food was served with a smile which I appreciate.

Vikram Singh: One of the best vegan spots in DC. I had the Perogies with sweet potato poutine and Oreo milkshake. Everything was delicious! I’m just sad it took me this long to get here.

Busboys and Poets: what do users think?

Sonya Williams (Wildflowers and Hooyahs): Made a thirty min trip to try this location and it was def worth it. The waitress, Phoenix, was phenomenal! We also loved all of our food. The Mediterranean burger with lamb was such great combination of flavors. We shared the pancakes and French toast because our six year old couldn’t finish it. We had plenty of leftovers. My husband ordered the egg and cheddar burger and said it was pretty good. I loved the art and the vibe of the place. We arrived around 1030 and there was barely anyone there on Sunday. But literally when we left at 1120, the entire building seemed packed to capacity. Glad we came early for brunch! Well, three locations down and plenty more to try. This chain has a reputation of having great quality food, drinks, art, books and id family friendly. But could be great for a group of friends or lover.

Fahad Aqeel: I really enjoyed my meal here. The service was great and the place had nice vibes. Wish they could have bottomless coffee for breakfast though, and not keep paying $4 for a fresh cup.

Sahar Bayounis: This was without a doubt THE best chicken panini I ever tried. Hands down. It was so juicy and tender, unlike other panini sandwiches where the bread is so tough and dry. The chicken is mixed with chipotle sauce that’s just heavenly. 🤤 I highly highly recommend trying it whenever you visit Busboy and Poets. Also, get some sweet potato fries on the side instead of regular French fries. It’s very difficult to cook the perfect sweet potato fries and get them so crispy. This place knew how to cook them!!! Unfortunately there was no poetry when I came this Friday, but I’m definitely giving it another try in the future. ♥️

The Cheesecake Factory: what do users think?

YOUNG-i The GOD: Great service, hot and prompt food. I tried the clam chowder and salad. It was my first time trying clam chowder and it was pretty good. I also asked to swap the regular salad with the mix greens (no croutons). Everything tasted fresh. Also had a margarita and the sugar free cheesecake. Really surprised at how good that sugar free cheesecake was! Also, our waitress Brittany was excellent and attentive.

Eric Olkewicz: I had a great experience here. We were able to make a reservation and got seated right away without having to wait, on a Saturday night. Our Servers name was Colby and he was great! He was attentive to our needs and frequently checked up on us to see how we were doing. The food itself was delicious, as it always is. Love the bread especially. I highly recommend going here.

trickynic303: Excellent service! Followed DC Health Mandate to show proof of vaccination to eat inside.

Meet Miss Sallyy: Their food in this location is not as good as the one in Bethesda. I used to be a big fan of Cheesecake Factory.

Chanpen Tee: Food is delicious. The staff is nice.

Jasmine Ramos: On 2/15/22 me and my fiancé were having a day in DC and we had a lovely server named Anna, kind and humorous. Brought everything in good time even though she had another table she made sure to take care of everyone, good place for a quick lunch enjoyed everything food was amazing and Anna was too! Thank you Anna :)

Teddy & The Bully Bar: what do users think?

Julleny Wain: Food was really good but pricey. They do have unlimited mimosas if you do the all you can eat which is $50 per person. The portions as small buy again its all you can eat. The chicken and waffles was amazing, they have a waffles station, omelet station.

Hyun Kwak: I had a burger with fries along with sparkling water. the quality of service was ok. the burger was great but the fries were not that fresh. I still give them 4 stars. they have a happy hour menu, but the prices were not too different from the full menu. so, please check both menus even if you go there during their HH. happy dining! :)

Amy Rosenquist: The food at this place was absolutely delicious! We ordered an omelet, avocado toast, chicken & waffles, and chocolate chip pancake. The mimosas are small but they have a “bottomless” option if you’re looking to have a goooooood time ;) We sat outside and the umbrellas didn’t do much while the sun was still rising, but once it was overhead it was much shadier!

M B: Bottomless brunch offered a variety of foods and consistent pours throughout the duration of our 2-hr table reservation. Some dishes were less impressive than others, but the pricing and overall experience were unbeatable.

Jason Wallach: Went there for lunch. Excellent food, but a little slow on the delivery if you are trying to grab a "quick" bite, so be sure to tell the staff if you need speedy food delivery. I ordered the pumpkin soup to start, and it was smooth, rich, and sweet with a dollop of olive oil ricotta that added a fantastic touch of savory saltiness. The portion size was not very large, but the soup was very good. For my lunch entree, I ordered the mushroom risotto. Although the portion size was not large, the risotto was exceptional and very filling. It had blue cheese crumbles all over it, some other cheeses that left strings hanging from my chin, and something like honey that added some sweetness to everything. I cannot wait to return for happy hour or dinner to try their cocktails.

Christopher Kenneth Young Jr: Good service. Thank you Olivia. Food could’ve tasted better for brunch. Lots of small portions during brunch, if the portions were larger, we would’ve ordered less plates. I don’t recommend going for brunch with parties more than six - can be very hectic. If you want an unlimited brunch, I would recommend this place.

Birch & Barley: what do users think?

Jade Stylistics: This place was absolutely perfect! Came here for my SO birthday and everything was fantastic. The prefix menu was exactly what I was looking for. Each dish was delicious and well thought out with the beer pairing menu. There were some dishes that tempted me to visit from NY more often. Romantic atmosphere and very attentive service. Would absolutely visit again if in DC.

Alison Warth: Great restaurant! The oysters are AMAZING - definitely worth the money to get for a starter. The birch burger was delicious and came with small crispy fries. The “Crispy Hen of the Woods” was an interesting appetizer but not anything special. It’s basically just a very thinly sliced piece of chicken battered and fried. The garlic butter that comes WITH the crispy chicken is great with the bread though! Service was friendly and fast.

Ashlina Chin: I loved this place when I came here with my sister and friend. We had so much fun trying a ton of different beers and ate amazing food. The pictures are pretty outdated, but I will definitely be returning soon!

Alice Koerner: Great food and staff. Adorable assistant waitstaff brought out unexpected appetizers with bright fresh flavors. Nicely adorned petite filet and fantastically dressed mushroom sauté. Nice Gluten free menu selections, bread substitutions, and accompanying beer options!

Heysteve: Top notch! Food was excellent and the beer menu was extensive. I am a big beer nut and they had beers I never heard of. We were recommended to this place and it was our first stop after checking into our hotel. Our waitress Emma was not only delightful but helpful in picking out beers to go with our food. This will be a must anytime we come back.

Haru: The food and service here was incredible! The brunch menu was delicious, and food came out very quickly. Would recommend to anyone!

Firefly: what do users think?

Sadhana G: Went to this beautiful place for brunch on a Sunday. The food was a whole new level of excitement! Presentation and quality of the food and the good ambience set the right tone for the weekend. But the only setback was the price. We had an Egg frittata, chicken and waffles and Egg Benedict-crab ( the chef special) and it cost us 70$. A great place to grab finger food in a cute setting !

Garner Marshall: Excellent breakfast spot. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Parking is pretty scarce around the area. Staff is excellent. Good is delicious. Music is diverse. Location is convenient. This is going to be one of my new favorite breakfast spots.

Mariia Sarlayan: Wonderful food, amazing service, beautiful interior, pleasant vibe. A bit pricey for brunch but worth it. I wish more tables outside had umbrellas for shades but even then the experience was memorable.

Linden Yee: Solid brunch, overall recommend. The eggs on the benedict were pretty undercooked but the flavors were good, and the chicken and waffles were really well seasoned. Service was pretty slow, and the staff seemed to be up against a lot. While the waiter was great, they appeared to be the only one working the entire restaurant.

Khadija Khan: The restaurant has changed a lot since the last time I was here! Really friendly staff and nice ambiance! My favorite was the peanut butter and jelly French toast with the jalapeño honey! It’s an Interesting combo but I really liked it. Our server recommended a really yummy mocktail! The food was a little pricey so I’m not sure if I’ll be visiting again any time soon, but the dishes were innovative and delicious.

Lisa Mayberry: Cute little place for brunch out of the way in a hotel down New Hampshire Street. Outside patio seating is nice for a cool day with the umbrella up.

The Smith: what do users think?

Ian Sherwood: Great vibe. I can attest that they are a great brunch place. I had a great eggs Benedict for $18. It’s made on french bread which is so good! I like the energy and decor of this place. The black iron and wood ceilings give it a nice vibe.

Sam M: There are so many decent brunch spots in DC, but this place is my favorite. I originally visited the smith in New York and this place in DC is just as good. I was here to celebrate my friend’s birthday and had an awesome time. It could get really busy during the brunch so I highly recommend making a reservation. Every single plate was fantastic, but my favorite dishes were mac and cheese in a skillet, vanilla bean french toast and buttermilk pancakes. Staffs very accommodating and attentive during the whole brunch. I really appreciated them when they brought out the ice cream with candles for the birthday celebration. I also believe brunch cocktails are included if you order some egg dishes. This is one of the best brunch places in DMV and I highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

Vy H.: The ambiance here is nice—came here for lunch Friday and was able to get two seats at the bar. The bar is fully stocked and tons of liquor options! Food was good, we enjoyed the BLT +E (added avocado) and the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad—portions are generous too.

Rebecca s: Super cute place! We had to make a last minute reservation cancellation with another restaurant and knew it would be difficult to find a good brunch spot on a Sunday without a reservation. We called and they said maybe the bar would be available when we arrived but that was all they had. When we arrived it was full :( BUT they did let us know if a party cancelled or was late that they could seat u be Aubrey in the next 20 min. Well they totally did! It was really nice that they accommodated us. Cute place a great food!

Riley: The mac and cheese is out of this world. It was extremely cheesy and had an amazing crust of cheese on the top. Each bite was packed with powerful flavor. I also was able to try the wings and they were great. The seasonings were a perfect blend and not to spicy. The gnocchi was very rich and could really taste the truffle on it. The service was great.

Christina Arthur: The toffee pudding was awesome. Calamari was great! For my main dish I had the fried chicken with honey marmalade and cheesy grits. The grits were really good. There was a lot of breading on the chicken but still very tasty.

Kylan Carini: This is an amazing restaurant, and I highly recommend going here. Firstly, the food was delicious. It was flavorful and modern for a reasonable price. Additionally, the decor of the restaurant was great, perfect for your Instagram needs. They also give you both sparkling and still water at your table. The only bad thing I can say about this restaurant is that the table was a little small, but you hardly notice because the food was so exquisite.

Andrew Windheim: First time visit. Late Saturday afternoon brunch, place was still packed but got a high table at the bar. We had the eggs Benedict and shrimp and grits. One of the eggs Benedict was watery but generally very good. The shrimp grits was served in a frying pan and was very tasty. Especially loved the extra thin shoestring fries spread over the top of the dish and the included brunch drink with each brunch main. Great atmosphere and cool casual decor. Great location next to National Gallery and one short block from Capital One Arena. Close to a 5 but not quite.
