Byte Back: what do users think?

David Whitney: Byte Back is an organization driven by solutions, results, and impacts. Byte Back continues to successfully bridge the Digital Divide. It does so by providing historically excluded communities an equitable pathway into the Digital Economy. This is done through transformative digital advocacy, digital literacy, and tech certifications. I strongly recommend donating to Byte Back in support of its mission, vision, and impact.
Response: We appreciate your kind words!!!! Thank you!

Ana A: I attended the virtual info session last week and my experience was positive. The session was well organized, professional and everything was communicated clearly and multiple times even after folks kept interrupting with questions and topics that were not relating to the session. Ms Stallings did a great job facilitating all this in a timely manner, with help from Ms Farmer. I am a potential student, pending the results from the session, just wanted to give my view/review.
Response: Thank you so much for your review and we're so happy you got the information you needed at our Info Session!

Marty Wrin: I came to Byte Back with some IT experience but no certifications. There was an orderly process for applying and I was notified of my acceptance in a timely manner. I took the IT Fundamentals class with Andrew. He is engaging and patient. He mixed videos with lectures and PowerPoint presentations to deliver the content. With his help I easily passed the CompTIA ITF exam and began my career in IT! A big benefit of Byte Back over many other places is the additional resources and connections. Both during and after my time as a student, I was invited to career events, networking events, and even conferences via Byte Back. I have taken IT courses at several institutions and Byte Back is by far the best. I believe in Byte Back so much that I chose to come back and work here as an IT Specialist!
Response: You were a great student and participant, Marty! Now we're so thrilled to have you on staff, giving back your skills and knowledge to IT students. So amazing! Go Byte Back Alumni!!

Tamara Waller: I had a great experience during my time at Byte Back. I enrolled in the IT Track. Eliana was great going through an Office refresher course. Then we moved on to IT Fundamentals with Andrew. He made class interesting and interactive. A+ was taught by Marty Wrin. He was very patient and knowledgeable. Byte Back also provides great support services such as resume review and monthly metro cards. I passed A+ thanks to the help of Byte Back.
Response: We're so proud of you, Tamara! Can't wait to see where those skills and cert take you. Go Byte Back Alumni!!

Loretta Howell: I started my Byteback experience in November 2016. I do not believe my experience could have been any better, from the variety of receptionists to the instructors. I have taken a total of three classes so far, I am currently studying IT Fundamentals. WHERE DO YOU GET THESE PEOPLE FROM??? They are heaven sent. I knew little about utilizing my personal computer to the fullest. I feel more empowered as a result. Leo, Shannon, Bock, Derek, Dasea, and Andrew you ARE SIMPLY THE BEST!!!!
Response: Your story is so touching, and thank you SO MUCH, Loretta. We're so happy to be able to help you in your education and career journey and can't wait to see where the future will take you!

University of the District of Columbia Community College (UDC-CC): what do users think?

Henok D: The most terrible school I have ever been to. Both the main campus and the Community college are the same. A lot of slow, unprofessional, and rude staff who keep yelling at students when they are not even doing their jobs properly. I submitted a certain paper to the Financial Aid office and they told me they lost the paper after weeks that I had to pay about $1700 out of pocket. During the 2020 Pandemic, I tried to contact them as I was having difficulty to waive the Student Insurance that is provided through the school because I already had an insurance coverage; no one answered my call until it was due. And now Miss Gaskon told me that I have to pay about $1300 for the coverage I never needed. Mis Gascon was there in 2018/19 when I had the same issue; she helped me waive it then. I could not go to her office in 2020 be a of Covid restrictions. I tried to solve the issue communicating with them but nothing got better yet. I would not recommend anyone to go the UDC unless one needs a headache. I cannot deny that there are some great Professors such as Prof. Sonnie Abebaku. However, individuals are very helpful to us, it’s overall experience at the university that makes a difference in our academic lives. So far, my overall experience is just TERRIBLE!

Yesly Turcios: GLEN DOMINA rudest person ever if you are working under a facility and a Student is inquiring on information/assistance you should be able to provide that at your upmost ability but unfortunately that was not the case here..

Danny Hirschfield: I graduated UDC-CC with an AA degree in Liberal Studies Fall Class of 2015 Alumnus. This college really helped me develop my learning skills as I am an older non-traditional student that started as a freshman with very little prior knowledge and discipline in academia. I have transitioned to the UDC flagship campus pursuing my BA degree in Political Science as a pre-law student. This university is the most affordable place to get a good quality education being the only public higher learning institution in Washington, D.C.

Jamilya Allen: Okay So I applied about 3weeks to a month ago and I’ve yet to receive any papers informing me if I was missing any documents or etc. I’ve called at least 5 times a day for about two weeks straight leaving voicemail after voicemail and no one has yet to return my call not only did I call multiple times I have also emailed them multiple and no response. It’s ridiculous what’s the point of having an admissions office if they not even going to pick up the phone, guide you in the process of being admitted or anything else like you guys get paid to do nothing it’s sad.

h T: This University has only good professors! But getting a Bachelor from the UDC will not get you a job!! Their jobs faire is just to get a website from the companies and brochures lol!

Jordan Stewart: The financial aid lady with gray hair and dreads is disrespectful af. Most of the staff here are disorganized and rude. I disenrolled 2 months ago. When I went to disenroll the lady was eating crab legs in front of me. Come to find out she never really disenrolled me, and I had to go back up there today. Smh. I really wanted this to work bc I’m a Dc Resident but I’m enrolling at PGCC.

MICHAEL HILL: No comment

angel almonte: One of the best experiences I have had as a student. The professors were extremely helpful in guiding me to obtain an education . The facility is improving and they have an excellent student center. The student body is very a diverse population. The administration staff are as friendly. as you are to them. In other words if you act a fool than expect to be treated as one. 😊

Georgetown University: what do users think?

Da-Wang Wu: I have several talented colleagues who graduated from Georgetown University, so I always want to visit this school. The campus is very beautiful, especially with the fall foliage. It’s a nice half-day trip to visit the university, the shopping area (mainly on M Street), the canal and the waterfront park.

Danny L: Must place to visit if you are visiting DC. Lots of things to do around the university. Great place for photography and sightseeing. Plenty of Restaurants around that area. You would love it.

David Gilbank: I fulfilled a lifelong ambition when I came to Georgetown to see where The Exorcist was filmed. I particularly wanted to throw my self down the stairs that featured in the finale. Obviously that could cause terrible damage, so I through a soft toy down instead. See photos. Its a brilliant beautiful neighbourhood. Well worth a visit.

Mj Dillenburg: Great graduation ceremonies! Except for the 95 degree heat and humidity....it was beautiful.

Russ Watts: Excellent university, superb perspective on the political realm, mindful about the Jesuit values.

Enric Piferrer Torres: We stopped for a quick walk around the university buildings, and it was worth it! It reminded me of Harry Potter somehow. Beautiful main building. We parked outside for free in a 2 hour parking (no meter). The neighborhood is beautiful too

Justin Ahearn: So charming and beautiful. Feel like I’m going to get culture of Washington DC and the people that I meet are great

US Government Accountability Office: what do users think?

Rose Merree: 6/20/2018 I have given the FBI everything. 4/20/2018 Hi GAO I have made it easy to see how 5 banks defrauded the United States Government & used the United States Courts to do it. They are telling on themselves in both words & action. The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) is an independent, nonpartisan agency that works for Congress. These lovely people research and provide Congress with information so I emailed this office telling it everything going on to my surprise this office CALLED me. The GAO wanted to be sure my rep in Congress knew so they would not be sending duplicate information which would slow down the process. GAO Thank you for what you are doing. 5/20/2018 Hello GAO I mailed you some records. Enjoy 6/05/2018 Thank you for the phone call. It really made my day. I followed your instructions.

These contradictions are not accidental, nor do they result from ordinary hypocrisy: they are deliberate exercises in doublethink."- this needs to be shut down now. Do not work with these people.

Demetrius Gethers: I was not happy with the automated answering machine because it tells you that they can help you with your questions but they only answer certain position for certain questions and I was not happy with that at all

dion thorn: Bunch of gestapo tyrants.

Kevin Davis: Worst episode of Portlandia ever. Would not recommend

Brady Frey: This post office is closed to the public; confirmed onsite and to calls to USPS. Unless you work in this facility, you’ll be wasting your time.

Sarah Cloud: Going through the Ford building security and wandering the halls to find this post office is totally worth the effort. The nicest, most knowledgeable and helpful employees work at this post office. I go out of my way to use this post office because the lines are short, they always have the supplies I need, and they are just so friendly!

Sonja Drumgoole: I too agree that the people who work at this Post Office are very friendly, helpful and professional. On my way there Now! Just want them to know they are appreciated..... Be Blessed!

maxbernstein: Only available to congressional staff at this time

Jonathan Updike: I echo the comments about the helpful and friendly staff. After quickly making it through security and finding the office (ground floor, Capitol/north side), I was immediately helped with exactly what I needed.

John Walker: Fantastic Service. I really wish more people could be as helpful in their jobs. Thanks Pam.

Stacy A: Worth at least one visit to celebrate US history. See the Declaration of Independence, constitution, and bill of rights. Room is dark and cold to help with preservation. No photos allowed at all. Entry was simple enough once I found it and staff was quiet but helpful.

Rodrigo Gonzalez: An impressive building which was made to preserve the national documents. In the exhibition, you can see The Constitution, The Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights. Congratulations to the staff and curators for such an impressive place. I recommend it.

Dez Davis: Beautiful building and so many things to look at. However, the security personnel are extremely rude and yell constantly. Also, it is a complete free for all to try and see the documents. Everybody crowds around the documents and stands there forever, not allowing anyone else to see the documents. Need to execute a better option of allowing everyone to see the documents fairly.

courtney edwards: The worst place I’ve visited in DC. The staff was rude and pushy with the exception of the employees working in the cafe. I highly recommend visiting the cafe. I was also locked in the building for 10+ and not permitted to leave due to an issue that was not disclosed to guests. I would go to anywhere in DC again except for the National Archives.

Matthew Miller: In reality, you could make a very quick trip here and only see the most important things here--The Constitution, The Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights. With a bit more time, there are other exhibits to see, especially if you are interested in the archiving process and what gets stored in the National Archives. For families with younger children the Boeing Learning Center is a nice place with activities and hands-on materials. The staff there are keen to explain things and are clearly devoted to their vocations.

John Neff: Security staff are a joke, while going through the security screening process two security staff screamed and yelled at my child. They soured what was an anticipated visit to see our nations founding documents into a terrible experience. The security staff needs to take a class on sensitivity training. What an embarrassment to our national treasures.

Wei Hsu: Amazing building and gorgeous architecture.

Nikoloz Gachechiladze: Considering that the place is free, it provides an amazing experience. You can see the originals of American Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence and Constitution all within 15 minutes, if you have planned your route. There are other interesting exhibits, but these three are highlights and definitely worth a visit.

Richard Super: Our kids passports expired 2 days before we were supposed to leave for a family vacation that was changed 3 times due to covid. After calling our congressman’s office, he was able to secure us a next day appointment. We arrived 45 minutes early and happily let in to start the application process. Everyone was so helpful and pleasant and we received our children’s passports in 2 hours! Thank you

Eric Sanne: For those of you reading this before you have an appointment, ensure you book at 8:00 am two weeks before your appointing. A man in line called at 8:03 and received the last appointment with “hundreds” on hold after him. I arrived at 7:30 am for an 8:00 am appointment and the experienced could not have been better. Others were in line. We were all anxious, of course. We were processed quickly. The first window checked that I had all of my documents. The second window processed my application and payment. I was out by 8:13 am! They informed me that my passport would be ready at 11:30 am but called me at 10:15 to say it was ready. I picked it up and was on my way. Tips: Sign up for the earliest appointment you can. Print out your travel itinerary with confirmation number. Show up with all documents filled out and pictures ready. Be polite. This is an extraordinary service offered by State, and it really saved my trip from going south.

Mahiya Momota: Not a person to write reviews but this place really deserves one. We got our appointment on the same day of our flight. Our appointment was at 8am and our flight was at 1:45pm. We got there at 7:30 and was already a line there. We told the lady at check in we have our flight on that day and need the passport asap. She put us on expedited waiting list. We were sure we were not gonna make it to our flight. My husband my daughter and I was out of there by 10am with our new passports. Such a great place with good service.

AdamHeidi Berry: Absolutely wonderful experience! My Daddy passed away a week ago and I needed an emergency passport to go to the funeral. The lady (I wish I remembered her name!) who helped me went above and beyond to make me feel at ease and was just the nicest person! Thank you so much! What a kind soul in the midst of my grief! I got my passport within three hours.

Kim James: Helen made it happen! We drove from North Carolina to get a passport for a trip scheduled for the next day. We had the first appointment of the day, expecting the be able to drive right back to North Carolina in time for our daughters prom. Helen gave us great customer service and we were back on the road within a couple of hours. Despite traffic and highway delays, we made it back In time for photos! Thank you Helen for making this happen! (Our daughter thanks you too! 😊)

Muhammad khan: One of the Best Experience. Needed to get a New Passport for my son . Got a Appointment for 10: 30 am March 29 2022 .Walked in the office building . Check in staff at the gate were courteous Security staff was courteous The lady at the check in inside the office courteous and the Agent that took the Passport Mr Daniel i believe his name very courteous . Went to pick up the Passport at 2pm and same process followed . I am very Happy . The whole team is fantastic . Keep up the great work and Thank You all for your efforts keeping the clients happy issuing Passports in nick of time .

Planet Depos: what do users think?

Lori Ramsey: Over the years that I have been responsible for engaging court reporters, videographers and translators in connection with proceedings in which Pillsbury’s lawyers are involved – locally, elsewhere in the US and internationally – Planet Depos has earned our repeat business. My experience has been that the staff at Planet Depos is responsive, knowledgeable, professional and helpful. On more than one occasion I have called late in the evening or on a weekend for last minute assistance and Planet Depos has responded. The work product has fully met our requirements. In short, for me, Planet Depos is a top choice.

Jose Garcia: Excellent customer service! Everyone I have dealt with at Planet Depos is always profession. On a number of occasions, they have gone out of their way to cater to our requests no matter how small or insignificant it may seem. They have provided court reporters for arbitration and depositions in several different states and their court reporters have always being top notch. Their prices are competitive and their work product is second to none.

Tracy Castillo: Planet Depos is a company with great customer service, professionalism, and people with positive attitudes. Planet Depos has pulled me out of more than one jam in the past few years. Their customer service and dedication to my projects have made them stand out to me when it comes to last minute rush calls for court reporters and document print jobs. They are my go to for court reporting, interpreters, and large document print jobs.

Pat Cotton: I have worked with Planet Depos since their inception and, when my firm has a choice, we prefer to work only with them. They are professional, dependable and always respond quickly to requests. Their employees are very friendly and courteous and will go the extra mile to assist clients. The work product of their reporters is also excellent. Highly recommend them.

Marcia Montgomery: Matt Workman and his team have been wonderful to work with. They stay on top of things, send timely confirmation emails, and are always ready to adapt quickly and efficiently to changes in deposition schedules. It is nice to hand a request over to them and not have to check back periodically to make sure everything is being handled. The first time I contacted Matt he was on a family vacation. Nonetheless he took time to discuss what we needed, tell me what information he needed from me, and pass it all along to his scheduling team who immediately contacted me to confirm the dates and times for the depositions. They are very good about getting us the names of the court reporters in advance so we can alert building security and others who need the names. They are my go-to court reporting company.

Gabriel Nahmias: Clarence was really great! Helped me make sure I packed things well and used the right package for the use case. Sweet guy and an easy experience.

Tom Limmer: They should take down the Self-Service 24/7 sign if they lock all the doors after normal business hours. Waste of a trip here.

Karen Fowlkes: My experience was outstanding! The Woman (hair in long beautiful braids) who assisted me and others this early June 25th morning, was courteous, polite, thorough and very attentive to each individual... It was as if each customer was her PRIORITY! When it came to my turn, it was NO different, She made Me feel special, and that is what GREAT customer service is ALL ABOUT... The Customer! I will definitely do business here again! Thanks for making my D.C. morning AMAZING!!!!!

Caroline-m Holo: Honestly, everyone in this office is so rude and unhelpful, even when you are polite and just expect the same basic politeness in return. Not even talking about assistance cause this is non-existent. If you do need help, do yourself a favor, and just choose another post office.

Jean Bell: Free for kids under 2! Took our baby godson here and he loved it! There was even a nice area for children under 2 to play in. It had a boat and little jungle themed play area! We explored the whole place and the people there were very informative. They showed even us a lion and leopard! I took off a star because the rainforest walk through closed off their canopy area for renovations this time we went. Perfect way to spend a couple hours on a rainy day! P.S. The earthquake exhibit and recreation was awesome and informative!

Gayle Schultz: What an excellent adventure it was to visit the Smithsonian Museums! My only problem, was 5 days was not enough time for me. I stayed in a nice hostel walking distance to the museums. A healthy walking distance. Did take a bus a few times. Grateful to everyone that works in all parts of each museum. The hostel offered evening outings in DC, but walking all day I needed to rest when back to the hostel. Favorites were the art museums and the New African American Museum.

Jaime Nava: Great for the kids!Just recommend to come early and bring plenty of water!

Perks Advisor: The Smithsonian Castle is one of the many Smithsonian buildings located on the Mall. It is fun to view with its unique architecture and the beautiful garden that surround the Castle. Often times tourists are more focused on the other Smithsonian Museums but this is a great one to relax or to eat outside nearby.

Jonathon Koerner: This museum is someplace I remember going on field trips for the day. The overall size is quite large to do in one session unless you stay on course. I love all the information they have available, and some interactive areas. The food is expensive, but what do you expect on dc. I find it’s more of an experience to get food outside from one of the local trucks(falafels are good). As many people have commented you may need to buy tickets ahead of time during the covid era.

Daniel Bruce: I mean, you need like a month to see everything, there is just so much and it is all good and educational. Plan on at least a week here.

Michael Kojetin: World class museums but extremely subpar mismanagement and handling of reopening. Don’t even waste your time trying to get a “timed” ticket for entry as they are impossible to get for most museums. First only a handful are released for each day a month prior. They offer “limited” tickets each day online at 11am but they are next to impossible to get. My wife and I have tried for several days during our stay in DC to get one. The technology behind their allocation system is broke. Two days in a row my wife and I simultaneously tried to follow the cumbersome instructions to get a ticket and we were both met with web page error codes and glitches that prevented our completing the ticket process. We were able to get tickets to the Air and Space museum with a last minute timed ticket and the museum was great however the reasoning behind the time tickets is fundamentally flawed and does little if anything to protect the patrons or employees from anything COVID related. They need to reopen completely and get rid of this timed ticket nonsense. For an institution staffed with the words best academics I would have expected a much better handling of this!

United States Postal Service: what do users think?

Jean Taylor: I received the most rudest customer service from Clerk 15, in addition to hearing her being rude to two other customers before me. Her tone with me was just as nasty for asking a question about the amount of insurance I requested. She definitely delivers the rudeness but failed to inform me of tracking number by circling on my receipt as is customary of postal clerks. Apparently Clerk 15’s priority is to deliver the nastiest and rudest customer service ever. Customers should not be bullied or made to feel intimidated by this person whose nasty attitude is definitely not an asset to the postal service. Please do better by placing people friendly clerks on the front line. Customers deserve to be treated with respect.

acacia bobik: Clerk #15 is rude and unhelpful. She was spitting sunflower seeds at the desk and making snide comments. Would not recommend wasting your time at this location. She did not offer explanation or answer questions regarding different prices for mailing a large envelope. She was more interesting in talking inappropriately about her co-workers with another co-worker

Y. WW: I had the worst experience at this postal service. I mailed a pair of Kay Jewelers earrings to my friend as wedding gift from this USPS location about 10 days ago. The package was severely damaged and the earrings were lost at delivery. Only my card was left in the broken package. I regretted I used First Class instead of Priority; otherwise, I could file an insurance claim. But now my earrings worth over $50 were just gone.

Jean Philibert: I went to the Post Office at 1215 31st Street today. What a horrible experience. The clerk was so rude! I am in shock that she is able to treat peopleso rudely and keep her job.

i b: I asked to get a letter hand-cancelled and the lady managing the counter practically yelled at me to put it into the bin where all the letters are automatically cancelled. I came just two days ago and they hand-cancelled my letter so I know they have the capability to. Kinda ridiculous. Beautiful interior and exterior physically of the building, but I wouldn’t come back if I didn’t need to. Much prefer using the one in Union Station or Watergate.

Jovan Bethel: The lady named Kara who works here is very rude. Literally all I wanted to do was mail off my phone back to T-Mobile and was in turn treated by with the utmost disrespect; making me seem as if I did not know how to mail a package! Telling me things that I already know about packaging while continuing to scorn me for what I "better do next time I come into their store or else"! And the young light-skinned lady who works there was also very rude; trying to belittle my intellect. All of this over me just dropping off some mail. NEVER AGAIN will I go there!!

R D: Three of our packages were missing in the last week. A supervisor "Smith" contacted me and she stated "we located your packed in OH.. you have to contact the USPS in OH and conduct your own investigation.". Keep in mind this is for a package USPS lost. The manager Tobley was absolutely no help and decided not to assist in this manner. Now I understand the "DEFUND THE USPS" chants lately. This location is extremely unprofessional. please read the reviews.

Vanessa Howard: This is one of the worst Post Office I have been into in this country and I travel a lot: I asked a question and had to explain to the worker that I simply was trying to make. decision to ship priority or express mail depending on the price she directed me to get an address label for express mail and they had no labels on the counter I was so disappointed with the service that I drove to the NW side of town where the service was a little better but not great the lady at the left end window at Frederick Douglas Station had attitude upon opening at 9.01 she is getting paid to give service but gave more attitude I see why they have a low rating I’m visiting from out of town and this will be my first and last time here .

Vivian Delgado: Look who works there. Enough said. Lower your expectations and raise your level of acceptance when doing business at this establishment . Sad to say but profoundly true.

kissesfrmgi: they always have attitude, they don’t bring our packages to our front door. me and my mom went up there 3 days in a row because my package hasn’t came yet and they claim they don’t know where it’s at. they deliver stuff whenever they feel like it and that’s mostly around 8pm. They need new people to work there and new drivers that will actually want to do their jobs!

Daniel Simon: One of the worse usps I’ve been in. The line is always long and the workers don’t move with any sense of urgency. The see 30plp line and will continue to move in slow motion while laughing and giggling with each other. Extremely POOR customer service.

Regus - District Of Columbia, Washington - Metro Center: what do users think?

Engel “D'Journey” Caceres: Honestly, I am always on the move. Having the ability to book a conference room from wherever I am and been able to receive the quality of service they provide with everything I need for whichever type of conference or meeting I’m having it’s such peace of mind. Comparing others, I’ve never seen such dedication to help and allocate the customers as theirs. So thankful for your work guys, always helping me being more efficient. Keep up the great work & God bless.

Kamal Nawash: I recently signed up with Regus in Washington DC. I met with a Regus manager and I informed him that I was looking for an office with a phone answering service, copy machine and fax line included in my rental fee which is the same setup I had with my previous landlord. I was told that “I am at the right place.” I was quoted a price of approximately $1275 for an “all inclusive” office that includes a “phone answering service with unlimited calls in the United States.” I was specifically told that when I receive a call the receptionist would answer the phone, ask who was on the phone and announce the call to me. I was also given a “deal” if I signed up for two years that I would be able to make copies at 5 cents per copy and I was shown the kitchen and told I will be able to use kitchen services for coffee and water, all included in my rental fee of $1275. With the above terms in mind, I signed up for a two year lease to start on October 16, 2017. Approximately three weeks prior to the commencement of my lease term, I visited the office space to meet the new area manager and that is when I learned that most of the representations made to me were false. In other words, I was defrauded. During my conversation with the new area manager, I discovered that my rent did NOT include a phone answering service, did NOT include use of the kitchen and did NOT include use of the copy machine at 5 cents per copy. I was now told that I do get a phone but I would have to pay extra to have my phone answered. I was also told that I would have to pay a monthly fee to use the kitchen and I would have to pay 15 cents per copy to use the copy machine.

Olivia Fisher- Gage: My review is not affected by the only employee (which is messed up) that works there. She is lovely and very nice to me. But what is messed up, is I ordered a replacement key for my mail box in November of 2021 and was told it would take up to 2 weeks. Fast forward to March 2022 and I still have no key. I am always told that they’re on back order, or that someone has Covid. Which again, is not the clerk’s fault. I even contacted USPS and they told me that it was the location’s responsibility and that they cannot help me. This was 3 months after having no key. This is absolutely ridiculous, and this facility shouldn’t be a thing if it can’t function properly. Mailmen are using THEIR OWN MONEY -not the money WE PAID to USPS- to replace locks. I refuse to let it come to that, because that is NOT how this works. Tons of JBAB residents paid USPS money for a service they didn’t provide. Absolutely ludicrous.

William C: Stopped by at a few minutes prior to 1100 on a Saturday. Posted hours are open until 1200. Doors locked no sign on the door. Waited 15 minutes to allow someone to return from break or something. No luck. A real business could not survive with this type of management. A simple sign explaining the inconvenience would suffice.

Sherrell Tard: I would like to write a complaint in regards to the post office located on JBAB Bolling (20032) not being open during normal business hours on June 14th. It is sad that there is no courtesy note on when a representative will be available to service customers. This is not the first occurrence at this specific location. Please provide a better service to those who reside or work on this installation. Thank you.

Felix R. Fimbres: Small Post office, I can tell this lady deals with a lot of entitled individuals. When you consider USPS will take your piece of paper clear across the country for a buck — fairly quickly and with 99.9% accuracy — it’s really amazing. Our postal service doesn’t get nearly the credit it deserves.

Joseph Sheehan: Attempted at 1:45pm to get postage on an electric bill due; Mail lady clerk screamed at me that she was taking her lunch hour and locked the doors on me. When I asked her where the next closest Post Office was off base, she became even more hostile and screamed she could not talk as she was on her ‘lunch hour.’ Have her retire and give this position to a Disabled Iraq/ Afghanistan Veteran who would appreciate a US Govt gig and treat customers with respect. This facility is totally UNSAT!!!

Michael Hummel: I was having trouble with a box, and the nice lady helped me get my items stowed and wrapped. thanks.

David Vaughan: Incredible slow and rude to customers. They show no interest in taking care of the customer. It is sad the USPS doesn’t have internal reviews of under performing post offices. This is easily the worst one I have been too. Take long lunch breaks and don’t open on time.

Alyson Lasater: Not sure why so many low ratings! I have been here half a dozen times. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Today they had 2 on the counter. Christmas rush. Line of 8 in front of me and I was out in ten minutes after shipping 4 packages. And buying stamps. Keep it up Michael and team!

The St. Regis Washington, D.C.: what do users think?

Lisa: You will hear the food and beverage director before you see him. During our trip, he raised his voice multiple times quite angrily - it was quite concerning to hear him speak to guest service staff in such a way and that he was comfortable enough to do it in front of guests, too. Otherwise, my husband and I had an absolutely lovely stay. Our room was amazing and there were lots of friendly faces. I also especially enjoyed the pillows, and I wish I had thought to ask what type they were as they were super comfy.

Squirrely: Five stars all around. The rooms are elegant, updated, clean, and comfortable. Each staff member I dealt with went above and beyond to help. I was especially pleased with the front desk employee who grabbed me a cup of coffee in the middle of the night when I had to catch an early flight. The location is excellent and there are plenty of restaurants and attractions within walking distance.

Liem Huynh: We stayed for one night in the Metropolitan Suite in June 2022. The room desperately needs renovation and service was nonexistence. Disappointing experience overall. No prearrival email, no response when I emailed the butler service for restaurant reservation, zero communication from the butler during the entire stay. Unfriendly lobby staff, no greeting, had to open the door on my own at times. The Metropolitan Suite was old and in need of a renovation. Dirty pillow cases, worn out carpets, water from faucet smelled a little punky and we even found pieces of shattered glass on the floor. Only positive experience was the check-in, after that everything went down hill. Recommend trying something else while you’re in DC. Much better experience at the Ritz Carltons if you’re a Marriott fan.

Joe J.: Amazing tea experience in DC, probably the best in terms of service, flavor, presentation and selection of teas. The cherry blossom touch is a nice and pleasant surprise. Although it is on the pricey end, definitely recommend!

Ayesha SH: I attended the Whimsy event on April 1. Pros and cons below: Pros: Wine was good. We ordered a Napa cab so it was costly. Ambiance was decent. The best part was their waiters who were super friendly and hospitable. Cons: I was told parking would be validated prior to attending the event. On the day of they refused. We spent upwards of $600 and they wouldn’t validate the parking. Food was ok. I didn’t feel that great later at night. The princess thing was childish, hilarious, and unnecessary. Adults attend these kinds of events not kids. Overall not worth the money they charged us.

Melanie Brown: Hotel is nice, breakfast is good, everything was clean and well stocked. Giving 5 stars because the staff is exceptional! Above and beyond meeting every need and SUPER friendly! Another bonus is the cold water they keep in the lobby. It had ice and was full every time we came down morning or night. What a comfort for busy tourists, especially in the summer. There are drugstores, food and coffee right around the corner. And ubers into all of the tourist attractions were fairly inexpensive. We will be staying here again! dispense in the lobby

Pola P: The sheet of the bed was dirty. The road outside was very loud and I could hear every car going by while being in my room. The walls are very thin and I could hear people from the other room almost all evening. The bathroom door was very loud! It was squeaking. The breakfast wasn’t that good. The room was spacious and nice. The air conditioner was very easy to operate. The elevators were very fast and nice!

Jen Bradley: Pay for the valet or your car WILL be broken into!!! At least a dozen cars had a window smashed out during our stay & center consoles ripped out. They put two holes in my window trying to break in but couldn’t get it to shatter. Everyone else, not so lucky. When I told the front desk they said they tell everyone not to park on the street (when we arrived they said valet or street were the options, no warning whatsoever about the DAILY break-ins and complete lack of police presence). Breakfast was ok. Semi convenient location but not safe (vacant lots flank half the street). Coffee shop across the street was nice. Room wasn’t that clean. Needed a blanket for the pull out couch and had to wait 30 min, as no one was attending the front desk. Phone did not work. Need a key card to gain access to the lobby and to activate the elevator, even in DC that says a lot,

uthra pakkiriswamy: Towels were smelling full of smoke! That means they haven’t changed from previous stay or they haven’t washed properly. Whole room was filled with smoke. For 4 people, 1 shampoo and 1 soap was provided. Exhaust fan wasn’t working in toilet. Worst room service in my entire life! Kitchen, valet service was good.
