The Observatory at America's Square: what do users think?

C F: This venue is absolutely stunning. It’s been several months after our wedding and we consistently still have guests telling us how beautiful our ceremony venue was. It has a breathtaking view of the Capitol and is extremely well maintained. We fit our 160 wedding guests under the provided tents for our ceremony with room to spare. Suzanne and the entire staff were a delight to work with and they really saved the day by accommodating us by scheduling a tour and our event very quickly after having our original venue cancel only 5-weeks before the big day.

Mark Vallaster: View is fantastic. Food is good but slow

Kimberly Kruse: Gorgeous views

Roof Terrace Restaurant: what do users think?

Ron Milkowski: I have never been to the Kennedy Center and had no idea that there even was a restaurant. What a very nice dining experience. Santo our waiter was very knowledgeable with the food and drinks. It is a bit pricey but worth it. Even if you are not going to an event I highly recommend checking it out.

Anusha Chatterjee: Wonderful bar service! The food was so good. Had the tuna carpaccio and the salmon. Both were absolutely perfect! Lovely seasonal Cocktails. Perfect stop before or after the show. The bar has the full menu, so no reservations were needed. Lovely intimate vibe.

Craig Herrick: We’ve been here a number of times over the years though this was the first visit in two years. The Terrace has upped their game. My lamb chops and wife’s fillet would go over well in any finer local venue. The service was prompt and professional and based around our show time. Terrace maintains most of its vintage (60’s) vibe which is what I like about it.

Myrna Linzy: Very good. Waitress was very good in helping me with which meal. Picked my drinks. Awesome place.

Catina Carter: The food and service was outstanding. Wonderful place to have a beautiful experience of class. The views were wonderful as well.

Mary Robinson: Wonderful dinner before a show. Cant beat the views! Professional service throughout the meal.

Veronica Coleman: Wonderful evening at the Kennedy Center and dining at the Roof Terrace Restaurant. Great food. Great music.

Phil Cooke: Great setting at the Kennedy Center, ideal for pre show dinner. Service was excellent; overall, food was very good. Our party of four got fish, with the bass being the best, by far. Others, trout and salmon, were just okay. It is a little pricey, but the setting, service and convenience make it worth it.

The Rooftop at The Ven at Embassy Row: what do users think?

farida popal: I was there on Saturday the 25th. We wanted to go to the rooftop bar. As soon we were at main entrance, the door man greeted us and guide us. When we went to the bar the atmosphere was nice. The drinks were a bet pricey and bar food was great! I’ll defiantly go again.

chrisy edme: The stay was wonderful! The staff at the front desk are amazing ! Specially Lyle at the front desk, he was just a sweetheart to us. We booked our stay prior to them implementing the daily amenity fee. He waived it off of our stay and informed us that he will be more than happy to still provide the perks ! We received some sent sachet of jasmine and lavender which were amazing :) In addition to that he provided us with late check out because our flight was later in the afternoon. He also gave us some great tips of how to get around since it was our first time in DC. Also my room was provided with daily housekeeping and my housekeeper was just a sweetheart too but forgot her name unfortunately. My only Con was the bathroom size, as it was super small and there was no ventilation.

Kimberly “ ” Watson: Excellent! Love the space! The art exhibit in the hotel was wonderful!

Reuben Wauyo: This is a beautiful venue and would seem to be all great but terrible customer service. Called for a reservation and information on restaurant and was referred to main line. To which someone picked up after I waited on hold, heard me then hung up. This is the most disrespectful and frustrating thing I can think of when trying to get things set for events. Calling back no one picks up and I have now been calling main line for 30 minutes to be assisted and again no one to answers. You would have to be crazy to work with these guys on anything important for you will receive absolutely no clarification or answers on any questions you have. I was very surprised to even see positive reviews at all. I really hope it’s an isolated event, but if I can help anyone else not deal with my issue I’ll be glad to steer you away and onto another location. I will update with location and name after my reservation is set with our new venue. Also to be noted, not even the central main line can reach these guys and are unwilling to even try. I believe we’ve definitely dodged a bullet.

Walter Hunt: Friendly staff , great location, very accommodating

The Capitol View at 400: what do users think?

Remembered Events: We just had a fabulous wedding at this venue. The view is beautiful. They have a parking garage underneath the building and you do have to go through the lobby of the new stations to get to the reception spot but well worth it. We had around 100 people which fit the space perfectly. Delmy the venue coordinator is so wonderful to work with. The space offers multiple options for your cocktail hour set up. The restrooms are far from the space just something to be aware of. I would suggest making signs it is downstairs or have a designated person showing guests where to go (this was something our planning team did).

Colby Shomaker: This place has great views of union station and the capital. Not the best location and set up to host an event but overall it’s ok.

ALANA VAUGHN: What an amazing venue to have any event. It felt like you were on the deck of a cruise ship with the beautiful black drop of the Capitol in the background. It was open air... it was beautiful but when it started to drizzle there was a beautiful canopy that still allowed you to enjoy the beautiful view.

Travis Hyams: We had our wedding of about 100 guests at Capitol View. Our experience was amazing, and we would recommend the venue to anybody that is planning their next event. The view speaks for itself. So, if you are on the fence, just go see the place. Delmy the venue coordinator is a true champion. She is experienced, organized, well-connected, and when the anxiety of planning an event becomes too stressful, she draws on all of these to keep you calm and make sure things go as planned. The day of went off without a hitch and our guests continue to rave about our event! Delmy handled all the décor and the venue looked truly stunning. We hope others get to experience how truly magical Capitol View is!

Kiedra E.: Unfortunately this rating comes from an inability to receive a date to even view the venue. We absolutely adored the space from what we saw online. I reached out to the venue the beginning of January and received little correspondence and after confirming a date finally but, not a time , I waited over a month for a time confirmation email that was promised and never came. This was extremely disappointing. I’m not sure why we weren’t valued or given the usual business etiquette or decency many others have in the past from the reviews I read but, I hope that this experience is isolated and not common practice of this venue.

andrew strycker: I was here for a conference dinner on the rooftop. The food was lackluster and ran out multiple times. the event was by reservation only so it was not as if Capitol View had no idea on how many patrons to expect. The two bars that were on the rooftop were cash only and hard to navigate towards. The bathrooms were also located a fair distance away. After a bit of socializing (like an hour), many of my peers decided to go to another venue.

Michael Gerardi: Great venue for people who are political advocates and/or patriots

Megan Muñoz: Delmy was very nice but myself and other guests could over see and hear her being unfriendly to the staff and taking down about the wedding party. Otherwise fantastic venue and a wonderful time.

Vue Rooftop: what do users think?

Elizabeth T.: Awesome location for a rooftop - only issue is that the best views are by the standing bar which seems to be an odd placement considering the food is expensive and you would think that they would seat more people by the windows. Drinks are on the pricier side with beer starting at $11. We ordered the burrata and lobster mango to start - by far the highlight of the meal. For dinner I got the lamb burger and it was okay but I’ve had better.

Elliott Schellinger: The views of the Washington monument are absolutely unparalleled from the booth at the Vue Rooftop. This was my first time at the establishment and I must admit I am quite impressed. The staff and the management were extremely accommodating, even though our demands were somewhat obnoxious. They were willing to open up the private dining area just for the two of us, and let us experience the D.C. skyline at its absolute best. The food was quite delicious. The appetizers in particular were truly scrumptious; “calamari” and “Parmesan fries” are the absolute must, along with the “olives and bread” starter. The must have cocktail for me was the “power to peaches”, divinely smooth and summery fresh. All-in-all, it was a perfect bon-voyage evening before we headed back to NYC. Thanks to the staff and the management for wrapping up our Washington D.C. visit in a ribbon with a luxurious bow on top.

JR Franks: Definitely worth checking out for the views of the WH and Mall, and the rooftop itself is quite spacious with a good amount of seating. The drinks were (unsurprisingly) on the pricier side so I probably wouldn’t come back often. Didn’t try the food but the burgers looked excellent, I’d probably try one if/when I come back.

Pat S: We had a table of 13 guest for a dinner party. My calamari was hard and overcooked my entree the seafood linguine was distasteful. Our entire table didn’t enjoy their entrees. Beautiful views of the White House and Mall, and the rooftop it’s spacious with a good amount of seating and upscale. Good vibes and ambience for drinking and dance only, dine somewhere else. The drinks were on the pricier side my cocktail was $22, overall so I probably won’t come back as often.

JD: This is a great spot for the social fare and view. It was packed on a Tuesday evening. Food was okay. Service okay. Drinks are great. Service gratuity is included in your bill, so tip extra when warranted

Robert Chang: If you want a great view of the White House, definitely check out this bar. Definitely worth spending the price for a drink just to check out the view. The drinks are definitely on the pricier side and my Old Fashion was a tad small but once again, the view was worth it.

PGAmos: Fantastic view. The White House is hidden because of the trees but I’m sure it’s in plain view during the winter. I attended an event and everything I ate was tasty. The drinks weren’t bad either! I’ll be adding this to my list for out-of-town folks to visit.

Susan FG: Food was great, as were service and views. One drink from the outdoor bar was not good, indoor bar drinks were definitely better. We still had to wait about 20 minutes for our table but that was not too bad

Christopher king: The view was pretty great. I ordered the lobster and rice because the bartender recommended it. The presentation was great but it tasted really dry. My friend got the crab cakes and those were delicious! Dont get the rice, it’s not worth $54. Probably wouldn’t visit again.

The Rooftop at the Graham: what do users think?

Karen Elise: A wonderful little hidden gem! The atmosphere was great, the views were awesome, and the bread pudding was amazing! I also enjoyed the “Island Vacation” drink 🍹 great place!

Jeff Wilson: Super fun and a pleasure all around — Jeff Elstro (General Manager) and crew run a top notch place all around! White wine came with a bucket of ice (without asking)and was excellent (a decent selection). You need to have your phone— QR reader only for menu and drink/wine list. The view really is TERRIFIC! You get the Arlington (Clarendon) skyline AND Georgetown, DC —see pics! We arrived on a Friday at around 7:00pm and had to wait around 10 minutes to get in. The food plates were some of the best I have EVER sampled — they are really that good! We had the Takis - Asian style, and the fig and goat cheese small pizza. The meat was perfect and the pita dough for the pizza was fresh and not dry. Later on it got a little noisy, but it’s a bar, and it’s popular!!! A lot of fun!!!

Carl Poblete: Amazing venue nice small joint really just missing some music food and drinks are great. The bread pudding was delicious!

Miguel Curiel: Breathtaking view, fancy place and delicious drinks. Food menu is limited— but what is available is delicious and the place does serve well its main purpose as a lounge bar.

Paul Thurrott: Fantastic rooftop bar with great staff, excellent cocktails, and killer views.

Ieshia E. Butler: Heard about the rooftop around town and wanted to visit. Had an amazing time with my husband. The service was stellar and so was the food.

Chris Marras: 2 words. Doki and Max. These two were awesome and whenever we are visiting Georgetown we will be back to get some amazing service from these two 👍 drinks were also fantastic

lissette Alvarez: From the minute you enter this little boutique hotel you are greeted with a smile, friendly reps at the front desk. Awesome!! Then you go to the roof top and it’s even better! The place is Beautiful , friendly service, the drinks, the view not so much of anything to look at but the sunset 🌅 is there so it’s gets 5 stars ⭐️ For that. I’m going to assume it was the manager or the owner but what a friendly guy. The atmosphere, the service was awesome definitely a place to go when you are in DC. Loved it!!!

Jack Rose Dining Saloon: what do users think?

Oceanie De Silva: What an Amazing Whiskey Collection!! We had a night out of drinks here with our friend who was visiting us and we absolutely loved the place and the collection of whiskeys and bourbon and so many other stuff! The bar tenders are so friendly and knowledgeable about everything! I said I love fruity cocktails with either Gin or Vodka and instant cocktails were created! Must visit in DC

Meg Salocks: One of the best collections of Scotch Malt Whisky Society on the east coast, along with lots of other unique bottles with a real range in prices. The staff are eternally nice and thoughtful, and will happily help you find the right pour for your tastes. A date night favorite if whiskey is your thing.

Anindita Barman: This is a very popular place I could tell from the crowd that was in the restaurant even after the kitchen had closed. We had the "Jack Rose Barrel Picks" flight, the "Time in a Bottle" cocktail, whiskey Wings and fries. The whiskey selection in the flight was great, the cocktail and the wings were good as well, however, the fries were not seasoned or salted at all. Service was good but the host could have done better. He just stood there without greeting or anything so we were not sure if he was part of the staff. Upon asking if he worked there, he said he did after which we asked for a table and he led us to one. :/ Parking can be a hassle as the restaurant is in the heart of DC. There is street parking but finding a spot is up to luck.

Gregg Caldwell: Have been here two times and the service has been excellent and the bourbon knowledge has been on par. Not sure how long it would take a server to know what liquor they have and the ability to speak about each bottle? Place gets loud as it gets later in the night. Make sure to check out the upstairs area.

Kevin Raisch: As a whisk(e)y fan, I had to visit Jack Rose while in DC and it was awesome. Kyle, our whisky advisor, perfectly crafted a whisky flight based on my preferences and provided very detailed and interesting facts about the story and science behind each bottle. In addition to the 3,000 unique bottles of whisky they have food, beer, cocktails and two floors of space (including outdoor space) so it’s perfect even for those who don’t want whisky.

Larry Miller: Over 2600 different Whiskies in their inventory. Great selection of rare whiskey. Great cocktails, service and food. This was a busket list bar for me. Itcwas the worth the trip.

Michael McDaniel: Truly a must-go place for bourbon and whiskey lovers. For starting at only $28, you’ll get to experience 3 bottles tasting with an excellent background on each bottle by well-knowledgeable and passionate servers. The second floor is open air with different corners to experience.

Ozio Lounge: what do users think?

Erica Kearney: The Drinks Are Juice It’s No Champagne At All In The Mimosas I Wasted An Outfit Coming Here There Was No Food The Fat Manger Was Very Rude When Asking Questions About Where Is The Food. Then They Made Their TOGO Plates First Before Serving Us. hookah 80$ Please After Paying 60 To Drink Juice And Eat Old Grits Save Ya Money The Scenery Is Cute But That’s It.

203Whitty: Sunday was horrible and I really wanted my money back. Arrived at 1 and most of the food on the top floor was already gone. Had to keep walking back to the next level just to get food, that was nasty. The mimosa was all juice. Will never return again.

Tiara Welch: Couple things I noted about brunch: 1) was on the second floor, the entire second floor had one waitress/server for the whole floor. 2) they were giving us juice with no champagne for bottomless mimosas (check your glass for bubbles) 3) buffet server was using his hands to serve French toast and bacon 4) music is solid. 5) Salmon was my favorite. — overall the food was good for my experience. 6) the crowd was very very young.. like, college kids pretending to be Cardi B & the Migos.

A Lee: Rip off!! They have free entry on eventbrite. The girl at the hostess stands say it’s 60 each to get in: that would have been fine if you we didn’t eat at Air Lounge: the food is better btw. Rip off!! They deserve zero stars!! We were willing to buy drinks but not brunch. The girl looked Asian btw: that way you will know who we worked with.

Jayda Brown: Great vibes. Good food. I’m not sure why it’s so hot in there please fix your air conditioning. Other than Ozios being a sauna , I highly recommend for girls brunch !

Kevin Gaines: Paid 120 for me and my girlfriend brunch was told bottomless mimosas but it would come every other hour and also was told all u can eat but they ran out of food but the atmosphere and music was vibe

Michael Benissan: I visited with a group of friends during the late afternoon hours on a Sunday while on a short trip to DC. When we first entered, I noticed a laid back lounge vibe and wondered where everyone was given there was word of a day party going on there. Turned out the rooftop is where the party was! The high energy crowd, drinks, and upbeat music from the DJ made this an exciting hangout.

Sharese Davis: We had brunch reservations and basically paid $60 to stare at each other and eat cold food. They could hire more staff or something. We paid for bottomless mimosas and didn’t even get that. I ended up buying myself some drinks but all in all this was an extreme waste of money. DO NOT come here for brunch. Go elsewhere, some place that can accommodate you for a decent price atleast. They claim to do everything in order by reservation but that’s not true, we were here since 2 and another table received better service than us and we got here after them. Their time pretty much ran out and they were still Being accommodated. They really need to do better honestly. Waste of money. Actually stay home make your own drinks. Save you money and time.

Ocean Terrace Cafe: what do users think?

Neal Wilkinson: Just a few years back, most of the Smithsonian museums weren’t worth eating at. That has changed - first with the Native American Museum, then the African American museum and now the Museum of Natural History. There are four signature bowls. You can add chicken, salmon, or tofu to any of them. The bowls are right at 10 bucks and it’s 3 bucks to add a protein. They also have sandwiches and desserts, a coffee bar that’s open until 5 and I saw someone with popcorn and popcorn is always good. One of us is vegan and it was so easy to accommodate that here.

Jenny Terry: Expensive! Here is where they make up for the free admission. $4 for a can of warm lemonade. Half of the seating was roped off despite most of the seating being full and people trying to find places to sit. It would have been nice to spread out away from people and not have to share tables with strangers.

Sergio: Worst food ever, all fried with unchanged oil and disgusting, no healthy choices, salads no taste, all high sugar sodas and extremely expensive!

Graf Douglas: The Ocean Terrance is closed. The atrium is open but the food is expensive, fried and/or salty. A cup of coffee is $5. No veggies except boxed salads. No fruit. Trying to buy outside and bring in.

bizarresanity: Terrible service. Waited at the counter to order food and was ignored by all three of the staff members. Then proceeded over to register, thinking we could order food there, and was yelled at by the cashier to go back to the counter. We returned to the counter and the staff continued to ignore us, talking amongst themselves.

nati: Barely any options for food but it was good. A little too expensive.

Austin Dibble: Extremely expensive

Sequoia DC: what do users think?

Zuleirys Santana Rodriguez: Amazing customer service! The outdoor dining is just soo extremely gorgeous, spacious and clean in every way. You have a lovely view of the water, the Sweden Embassy, and just the river! The food was just next level, specially the octopus that was cooked to perfection and I will certainly have it again when I come back to bring my boyfriend.

IamJoedie S: This was my first time and the experience was awesome. We came for a birthday dinner. A party of 12 arriving at 5 PM on a Sunday. We had two servers they were on top of everything. There was never a moment a glass was empty. Food service was quick hot and absolutely delicious. I had the steak was absolutely surprise when the potato came out with macaroni and cheese…must order if, no when you come. If you’re looking for a sexy restaurant to have a brunch, lunch and or dinner this is definitely the spot it overlooks the water great date spot. I will definitely come back again. Next time for the brunch. I hear that it is phenomenal. Come. Eat. Drink. Enjoy!

jen w: I gave this 3 stars because of a couple reasons first we had a reservation Saturday at 1:30 pm for their tapas brunch. They were super slow getting our food to us at the beginning. We ordered two rounds of food before the waitress came back and told us it was last call. We were barely there an hour. There is a 2 hour limit, I feel that if they have reservations till a certain hour they should allow the two hour minimum for people. It’s 64.95 per person they aren’t doing a favor for anyone. Next we chose to sit inside and it was obnoxiously loud. There was a group of people that were talking and screaming to each other, while I’m glad they were having a good time management should have asked them to simmer down because all the rest of us could to was watch them because u couldn’t talk for the noise. Having said all that, the food was very good. We opted for Bellinis and Mimosas. They were very good. The waiters walked around with carafes of Champagne and refilled you. My glass never got empty. I would go back here but make an earlier reservation and in cooler weather where I could it on the patio so I don’t have to deal with the noise.

John Varkey: We came for an anniversary dinner. The hostesses were a bit surly and disinterested but our waiter was great. The views are fabulous. My wife had the crab cakes and I had the lobster scampi. They were both fabulous but according to my wife the lobster had the edge. We went for a nice stroll along the water and around Georgetown after dinner. A very nice evening was had.

Kat B: Loved this place so much. My partner and I came here for our anniversary, not only was the view beautiful but the energy/service of the staff was amazing . The food was spectacular, definitely get the burrata if they have it ! We were pretty full but still made room for dessert and an espresso which was also delicious . Definitely recommend for a date night/ celebration . Prices were in line with the portions/ambiance .

Crystal Sings: Beautiful simply Beautiful 💜My daughter and I brought my mom to last Saturday’s brunch for her 80th birthday and we really enjoyed the service, food, and ambiance of the restaurant. George, our waiter was awesome and made our experience so memorable! Thank you George!

elizabeth rose: Visiting from florida and this restaurant was highly recommended by locals and im delighted i took their advice! The atmosphere was great, very inviting and scenic, indoor and outdoor seating offered with a nice view of the river. food was really good and exceeded expectations and the server Dominique went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our experience :)

Laetitia Monnier: Beautiful view of the Potomac river. The rooftop is really nice. We went at night and we could see the Potomac river and the skyscrapers in Virginia. We took desserts and it was so good ! We had the chocolate soufflé from the famous restaurant just below and it was one of the best cake that I had !! The basque cheesecake was good also but the chocolat soufflé was definitely the star of the show for me.

Manda B: Beautiful rooftop. Pretty small, chill spot so a good place to have a stop-by on a date night.. The cocktails were pretty good!

Cc C: Terrible service, terrible experience. We sat for an hour and we’re never served water. They didn’t bring us any menus for 90 minutes. The drinks are dramatically over priced for rail whiskey and tequila - at least $20 a cocktail. To add insult to injury, it took 15 minutes before the bartender even acknowledged me but served the woman who sat down after me. The ambiance inside is incredibly dark and they refuse to turn on the lights even at our parties request - we paid for an entire section in the restaurant. Ridiculous! The absolute WORST part was that the table we were supposed to sit at was left dirty for 45 minutes and they let us stand around, refusing to clean and adjoin the tables for our party. We ended up doing it ourselves! I would not recommend this place to any of my friends. I hate being that guy, I really do, but I honestly feel we were being discriminated against for our race! I wanted us to go to Flavio instead so bad!

Rene Hugentobler: Limited expensive selection. I expected more from a 5 star hotel and especially from Puck. Food, drinks and ambiance. Additionally maybe a minimal dress code would be beneficial. The Graham seems to be the better choice.

Nisan A.: Went there for a drink with a friend and loved the Cut Above. Artisan cocktails and a good menu. Took great pictures for the full moon while there that night. The only thing is that it’s just a bit overpriced.

Ronjon Ray: Beautiful venue, decent drinks. The tiny taco "sushi" appetizers were extremely overpriced. Would go back for drinks only.

Scott Heldman: Fantastic view!Drinks were great.Service just a little slow.

Harry Fang: Nice rooftop bar and lounge with good food and drinks. A pool is accessible for hotel guests.

The LINE DC: what do users think?

Corry: We stayed at The Line for three nights and I wish we could have stayed longer! Prior to our arrival the front desk staff were friendly and helpful on the phone with fantastic dinner suggestions and tips for getting around via public transit. We arrived early and were expecting to leave our bags at the front desk but the employee was very accommodating and checked us in. The room was lovely. Incredibly clean bathroom and bedroom, a beautiful view, comfortable bed, and very quiet. We enjoyed downtime either at the rooftop mini bar at night watching planes fly in to Reagan air port or during the day on the patio out front of the hotel. Truly a beautiful hotel and spectacular staff. 10/10 would recommend!!

Mollie Young: Everything about our experience was incredible. The staff is warm and hospitable, the room was spacious and tasteful (with great city views), and the amenities cannot be beat! We were so excited to use the gym and couldn’t get over equipment options — there’s something for everyone! The hotel restaurant, No Goodbyes, is also a must. The service is excellent and the food is fantastic. Definitely have a cocktail at the bar before or after dinner and check out the coffee shop the next morning. Everything about our stay was wonderful, and we are already planning our return visit!

Sara Urtz: Our stay was okay, not great. For the price, I was expecting great. There’s nothing really special about this hotel. There was no fridge to keep waters we brought in (besides the minibar which was full of drinks to buy) and the curtains are paper thin, letting in so much light it was hard to sleep. Great location and staff was friendly, but nothing special besides that.

Anna Ponamarchuk: Hotel is amazingly beautiful! It looks like Spanish parlament house from outside and it looks like a design studio from incite! So beautiful! Sweet Rachel was there the the mornings both days I was staying. She rescued my life with all the printing for my embassy apartment. She was kind, bubbly, and so helpful! I have a hotel my self and would definitely love to work with her! Kenny helped me on the phone after I checked out. These guys are great! They complete my wonderful stay in The Line DC Definitely recommend and will come back!

Kevin Shim: Staff is friendly. Location is good. Room was decent. The Line DC has everything that typically comes with a 5-star hotel. A restaurant, a gym, conference rooms, and valet parking. The hotel entrance is on the side of the building! Keep in mind that valet parking is going to be $59 per night, which may be worth it since it’s difficult to street park in DC. Due to zoning laws, you’ll only be able to street park for 2-3 hours at most unless you have a resident sticker. The area (it’s called Adams Morgan) has a variety of food options, and generally safe to go out at night. At the time of this writing (early 2022), there was a noticeable homeless presence on the streets of DC. Most are harmless and will leave you alone. The hotel room is decent. The sink water gets scaldingly hot, which you may or may not like. The shower head has strong pressure, so the water will give you a massage. Some of the furnishings in the room seem cheaply done. For example, the power cord for the free standing lamp is fixed onto the wall with some cheap plastic. Some of these fixtures were coming off the wall when I was there. Overall, decent 5-star hotel. Nothing extraordinary.

photog1976: One of the worst restaurant experiences ever. Our waiter forgot dishes and then forgot again for another 25min once reminded and chose to blame the kitchen staff rather than seeking to resolve the situation and make a simple apology. He then slammed down the plates when serving, gave our family the stink eye and walked off without saying a word. We made sure to be polite and respectful the whole time, but this place is just full of staff who think they’re too good for their job. Food was nothing to write home about. Was much better with previous owners.

Top of the Town: what do users think?

MS Tabu Winslow Morris, MBA: I attended the Black Republican Trailblazer Awards ceremony given by the Republican National Conference. The reception hall was beautiful with the best view I have ever seen of Washington, D.C. Your staff was friendly and the food was delicious. Thank you!

Charlie Leocha: This was once a restaurant. Now it is a function hall used for weddings and celebrations of all kinds. IMHO, It has the best view of DC to be found in the area.

Gold Hood: Gorgeous view. Nice facility. Particuarily good lighting. Room design may not suit though..

Matthew Hayes: Beautiful location! You can see all the monuments and the whole skyline of DC from here. Truly an incredible view. The staff was nice and facility clean. Parking was easy too. The entrance is a little tricky to find because the parking is behind the building. You have to walk around the side to get to the entrance. Overall a great experience.

Ernest DC: Panoramic views of the monuments from the Pentagon to the Capitol . The venue with the ultimate view. When your event has to be ' The Talk of theTown'

La Vie: what do users think?

Olivia M. Wilson: I know there’s mixed reviews about this place but I had a great experience. Our waiter took very good care of us and overall enhanced the dining experience. - The food was a 10/10 - The atmosphere and ambiance was amazing. - The view of the water gave it a very elegant vibe towards fine dining. Would definitely recommend for a date night or special occasion

Asim Soofi: Every single dish we ate was absolutely delicious. I would trust the executive chef at La Vie with any meal. There is something completely unique, yet so familiar with the variety of ingredients in each dish that transports you back to reminisce the first time you experienced it, wrapping you in a maternal blanket of bygone home cooked holiday meals. It has the luxury of comfort food with an eclectic mix transported from Mediterranean, Latin America, French, and Italian flair. Blends of sweet and spice came together in each rich bite. Vegetables and meats were perfectly prepared and plated. Fast on the day you go...you will enjoy every bite and leave happy.

Leemu Kufuor: Cute and Instagramable! Make sure you dress up! I enjoyed the food and drinks at La Vie but the customer service left more to be desired. The staff at the front when overwhelmed are not friendly or welcoming and they seem to need more attendants to serve the volume of guests that arrive around dinner. I would go back though, the food is good and the drinks are strong.

yelena antonela: Beautiful place, stuff Is very friendly Igloos is very creative warm and cozy! Food was delicious 😋 I order La Vie Caesar salad , Atlantic salmon and cauliflower couscous, Brussels sprouts it’s was so delicious you can feel so much love that food have 👌🏼🙏🏻 Dessert is yummy my favorite was a custard light and crispy. whole experience was Amazing !!

Kev- keepingitreal: We love the hospitality at La Vie. Our hoist was very generous and attentive, our food was hot, tasty and flavorful. We ordered shrimp, Lamb Chops, Truffle Mac & Cheese, Roasted Chicken with Mashed Potatoes. Underground parking garage is available for a fee.

Tasha Fuller: Overrated. When you pay more you expect more. The ambiance was amazing but the food wasn’t on the same level. The lobster was overcooked and the Risotto lacked flavor, no matter how much salt and pepper I added. The best part of my meal was the French fries and Brussel Sprouts.

Amanda (WhatsDaHype): Beautiful restaurant! The view of the wharf is very pretty on a sunny day. Friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant is pricey but the food and drinks weren’t over the top amazing. I truly appreciated our waiter making sure we enjoyed our meals but the items we got were just good. The presentation of the drinks were nice. We didn’t like the salmon and the waiter exchanged that meal for the lobster ravioli. It was tasty. We also tried the roasted chicken. The combination of all the ingredients was flavorful and hearty. The fried cauliflower was lightly fried but lacked flavor.

Anakaren Cruz: The service is really great and the aesthetic is beyond expectations. The restaurant is on the higher end and pricier side. We spent around $450 for 3 people. I highly recommend the lamb chops and the cotton candy baked Alaska for dessert.

Boss Marius: Mixed feelings about this place, it’s good but I do not think the price is justified. The ambiance is lovely, it’s by the water and the brunch is good, but…You reserve your time slot in advance and still have to wait to be seated. The cost of the brunch if you decide to go for bottomless food and mimosas for two people comes up to $275.

The Watergate Hotel: what do users think?

Catherine Misleh: Worst service I’ve had in a long time - possibly ever. This rating should be negative zero stars. My mother is visiting from out of town (very far away) and I had planned a nice day to include afternoon tea for the both of us as a special treat. We do not get time together very often. Imagine our surprise and disappointment when we arrived and the restaurant had no signs of life - closed without notice. I went to the concierge desk of the Watergate and was informed it had been closed days before with no explanation and that they were sorry but the reservation must have been made through a glitch in their system. The woman behind the counter was very nonchalant and not at all concerned, even when I showed her proof of my reservation. Funny since I received both an email and two text reminders asking me to confirm, and was also charged for a prepaid tea service. The Watergate staff did not offer any recompense, said I would have to resolve the charge to my card online, and to "try Georgetown” for something today. Absolutely unacceptable! I will not be returning and will make sure to recommend against it every time. I thought it would be fun to try, but there are plenty of better other and obviously better options in the area anyway. I should add there were a couple of other guests in front of us who seemed extremely distraught by poor service and their rooms not being ready, so overall I would say this establishment should be passed over in every respect.

Olivier Saint-Vincent: 100% recommended!! If you are looking for a 5 stars ⭐️ hôtel in DC, this is the one. It was perfectly located for us between Georgetown and the Mall (walking distance), and very quiet at the same time. Gym, pool, jacuzzi, library, breakfast are great. You can walk by the Potomac easily… and it’s one of the best rooftop in DC. The architecture is beautiful and bold. The staff is very attentive and always there to help. We can say that the new GM know how to make a stay unforgettable!!!

Adam Galazka: Absolutely stunning hotel. Amazing location by the Potomac River. Walking distance to many different stores and restaurants. Check in was great. Valet parking on site for $58 a night. Rooms are spacious and the most comfortable bed. Some rooms do have balconies with waterviews but they are a little dirty. When trying to call the front desk it took awhile for them to answer the phone. Besides a couple of those negative we would definitely come back.

A. H.: Disappointing experience this time around. I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times in the past, but recently it’s gone a little downhill. The mandatory valet parking definitely needs improvement, as the attendants take 20-30 minutes to retrieve or even park your car. They were not at all friendly, barely spoke English, and left my car reeking of weed or tobacco smoke. Absurdly expensive rates given the terrible service. A cheap motel could’ve handled valet parking better. Embarrassing! Room and location are great. Front desk staff are super friendly. But frankly the valet service was so consistently awful over three days, that I probably won’t return again (at least not with a car).

Preeti Dawane: While the staff was great, the hotel itself cannot call itself luxury by any stretch of the imagination. On our arrival to our rooms, our bedsheets were DIRTY WITH STAINS. I have stayed at 3 star hotels where I have NEVER encountered such an issue. For the prices they charge, the Watergate is absolutely not worth the stay. The only reason this hotel gets ANY stars is because of the staff who took care of us. I definitely don’t include all of the front desk staff in that praise. I also was never contacted about the issue with the sheets. I had to follow up about the issue. We also have not received our itemized bill following check out. I’ve really never been more disappointed with a “luxury” hotel than this one. I will NEVER stay here again. Such a rip off.
