The Mirror: what do users think?

Melissa Escudero: This place has the best vibes! Absolutely love the drinks every time we come. The seating is very comfortable and the lighting set a great tone. The bartenders are super nice. We came right after getting engaged and they even gave us all free shots. Cant complain at all!

JDV22: Drinks were pretty poorly mixed. If you’re looking for a neat place with loud music to just kind of vibe, it’s perfect. If you’re looking for well made cocktails, I’d recommend going somewhere else.

Richa Bhatt: This place was really cool in terms of finding it and the atmosphere but other then that it was meh. The whole bar was super dark and it was hard to see anything. The drinks were incredibly mediocre and so was everything else like the bathroom- the bathroom I used had no lock so I had to hold the bathroom stall door while using it. So yeah, besides going to a place that’s behind a mirror, there’s no other pull. It’s a very mediocre place and it is priced like it’s something nicer which is stupid. I would only come back if I had to like I wouldn’t make plans out of my way to go here.

Parker Kelley: We went here after a DMV friends event on a Friday night ! It was very packed & due to the space being very small it was hard to move around. The bartenders were busy & took forever to get a drink. The idea behind the bar is neat and interesting but wasn’t worth my time!

Zach Yoder: If you’re looking for a speak easy that fits the traditional role of one, this one barely fits the bill. The only thing that this place has similar to other speak easy’s is that it has a hidden entrance. The music is way too loud and the lights are way too dim. This is essentially a club with a fancy entrance.

The Crown & Crow: what do users think?

Christopher Yuen: I was in town for a business meeting and I took a few friends out to this bar on a whim and we had a blast! The bartenders were friendly and the drinks were unique and delicious! I had so much fun I ended up leaving my blazer at the bar. I called the manager Graham a few days later and he mailed it back to me all the way to Connecticut. He’s awesome and this place is too!!!!!
Response: Thanks Christopher, it's our pleasure to host you and your friends!

Annie: Cool bar with a chill vibe. Came here on a Monday night at 630 and there were only 2 other groups. Not the typical DC bar. There are a few tables and the bar to sit at. The cucumber mule was really good!
Response: You can always count on us for good vibes and great drinks, Annie. We're happy to hear you enjoyed your cucumber mule. Come back and see us for more cocktails in the future! -Cheers, The Crown & Crow

Corey Nolan: Always have a great time in this nostalgic Bar. Brian "Bar Man" has done an outstanding job building his dream. Staff is super friendly and they have stepped up their cocktail game since I last visited. Glad I was able to ring in 2022 in such good company! Thanks C&C team! Stay safe!
Response: We're glad to hear you always have a great time with us, Corey. Our friendly staff is always here to take care of you and treat you to a cocktail. We hope you'll be back to celebrate with us sometime soon. -Cheers, The Crown & Crow

Adriana Cortés-Buelvas: I absolutely love the Crown and Crow. Great cocktails and a huge offer on drinks. Great indie rock music, feels like an Irish experience.Graham is the nicest!
Response: You can always count on us to show you a good time, Adriana! We're happy to hear you enjoyed your cocktails and the music. Hope to have you back again sometime soon! -Cheers, The Crown & Crow

Lost & Found DC: what do users think?

seanjohn Thomas: Nice Venue ... Boring atmosphere .... Boring beer ... Bartender does not even know what they are serving from craft beer menu ... COVID Claimed.anothe business ... Sad

Robert Jacoby: Underwhelming bar...even though the drink list looks pretty good. Loud bar, somewhat divey. I was definitely served the wrong beer, although didn’t have time to question it because the bartenders are very inattentive. Had high hopes for this one because it looked cool from the outside, but they fell short. (Not going for lower than 3 stars because if you like the divey, loud scene, you may have a different opinion.)

Denis Blondeel: Good bar, friendly people. Only bar we returned twice during our stay in DC

Manuel Valverde: Great place to hang out, spacious with an outdoor area.

B Josie: My boyfriend went to Lost and Found on Saturday afternoon before I went back with him the next day. He sat out front. He was smoking a cigar while they served him a drink. If it was not allowed, he would’ve understood but clearly this was okay. So, I tagged along with him the next day. We sat out front smoking cigars as we watched several other people sit at tables smoking cigarettes. They were not patrons. Someone from the bar walked over to us 30 minutes later, letting us know we can’t smoke here. It’s not allowed. It was clearly allowed for the OTHER people that had been smoking but we were told something different I guess. I explained to him we wouldn’t even be here if my boyfriend was told the day before that it wasn’t allowed. He never did give me a response when I asked why it wasn’t a bother for the waiter the day before -_-. I wasn’t trying to step on anyone’s toes but I had to explain how there had been several people smoking here before us that have an affiliation with the art gallery next door. The security guard who works at the art gallery even told us it has NEVER been an issue. And he’s been working there long enough to know that. Clearly it just wasn’t okay for US since we weren’t white. I would never come here again and I’ll let everyone else know not too as well.
Response: Thank you for your review. We do have a non-smoking policy on our patios, but as owners we take responsibility for not communicating this effectively enough to our staff. We apologize for the inconvenience and that you had a negative experience at our bar. We hope you'll give us another chance in the future.

Service Bar DC: what do users think?

Elias Chelala: Awesome location with a cool vibe. They have an enormous selection of cocktails and delicious food. Make sure to try their spicy fried chicken sandwich which is very juicy and crispy. If you plan on visiting make sure to bring proof of vaccination. The prices are reasonable for the area and the service was decent! I will visit service bar again!

Kara Clark: Small bar with great food and drinks. Fried chicken sandwiches are stacked and cooked perfectly with seasons. Drinks menu are listed from light to strong. I do wish the food options was more but overall happy with the pick! Drinks absolutely great! Your bill will add up however, it was a bit pricey but overall great food. The bar is a bit small but they have outdoor eating areas as well.

Monica R S: The fried chicken is soooooo good! Food was overall delicious. The old fashioned was good. Service was good too. We sat outside and it was sufficiently heated.

Rebecca Kaufman: One of my favorite places to get cocktails in DC. They have such a great and wide selection of different specialty cocktails with plenty of different liquor options to choose from. They also always have seasonal options that change often as well as a great selection of small bar foods.
Response: 🤘🏼

Lani: Casual bar with good drinks. You can only sit 1 hour and 30 mins. The food was about a 6/10, we got burgers and mozzarella balls.

Kelly Wiley: What a great little place with excellent drinks and food! Cullen was super knowledgeable about the menu items and the specifics of each drink! They have stellar homeade ginger beer!
Response: 🙌🏼

Mark Orebiyi: On the search for the best Fried Chicken Sandwich in the DMV my team and I came across Service Bar. I highly recommend this restaurant. They are known for their cocktails but this sandwich was devine. Solid portion as well (fries come separately). I would put them in my top 5 (and this was our 21 place). Our server, Cullen, was extremely informative and accommodating. I will be back.

Blake Arrington: Good drinks and great chicken The fried chicken meal is the best bang for you buck coming with 3 sides and 2 chicken thighs for $20, I definitely recommend it Make sure you try the original fried chicken. The Nashville hot is good but not as good as the original which has a honey glaze. The atmosphere is a very bar feel inside. If you sit outside they did a good job of turning the street into a nice seating area but it is very loud with cars driving past Would come again to just get the chicken to go

All Souls Bar: what do users think?

Ivan Alekhin: We loved our time at All Souls last night. The bartenders were great and really knew what they were doing - they made the evening special. We liked the menu and felt like you get a lot of bang for your buck. The atmosphere of the place was just right - not too loud, cozy, and safe. We will definitely come back here again and again. It’s a gem of a place!

Mark P: Friendly, personable, and accommodating staff. Good music from rock to jazz and beyond. Unfussy yet creative cocktail list with prompt service. Authentic and reliable neighborhood bar. Give them a visit!

Cassandra Pereda: The drinks were good. But the male bartender when we were there was very rude. His demeanor was standoffish and not welcoming. Additionally, I got two drinks, each $11 somehow he said my bill was $30 because he was including his tip in it. I was going to tip regardless but the way he went about it rubbed me the wrong way.

Amelia Barabak: Had a bad experience- friend and I didn’t like the drinks (one on menu, one off). Bartender not friendly or helpful. Good if you like 7/11-esque snacks, mediocre service, and aperol. The drinks are cheap for a reason y’all.

Andrew Benson: Bartender to patrons — regarding hospital doctors in COVID, “they weren’t really in the trenches.” Don’t need to come back here.

YAZ 90Z: The Asian bartender acted uncomfortable to serve my party. Rude service.

Christian Mai: Fun bar to go to! Luved the roof top! Drinks were great and the service also!

Richard Derrico: Nice setting and good drinks. Fast service.

Sudhouse DC: what do users think?

Charli Knows How To Eat: Stopped by here randomly with a friend of mine. We had been bar hopping all night and needed a quick pick me up for brunch. The bartender was very friendly and informative. He suggested I get the tacos which were probably the best ones I’ve had in dc this far. And the prices were fairly cheap for the quality of food and drinks we received. It’s a cute little bar with indoor and outdoor seating.

Joshua Kappel: I recently hosted a birthday event at Sudhouse and had a great experience. From the communication beforehand to the day of, everything went smoothly. The atmosphere was great, cheap drinks and food, my friends and I had a fun night all around. Will definitely book another event here in the future!

Shankar Kulumani: Great bar on U street. Plenty of space to get drinks or hang out with friends.Top floor is great for cornhole

Natalie Kitzrow: This is the best neighborhood bar! I love the staff and great food and that it’s so easy to just stop in for happy hour on any random day. Grab dinner, a shot, and great conversation. Ask the owners about the free party room - I hosted a party here recently and I’ll be back!

Enitan Falana: The Late night menu is great, Tacos, mozzarella sticks, inexpensive beers and shots, a laidback atmosphere. Bartenders are really nice and friendly !! Down to earth owner, definitely a neighborhood favorite. Some outdoor sitting & Upstairs is has enough space to host a private parties or small event
Response: Thank you!!

Brit Number: Best happy hour - great patio

Mallory Waton: Excellent location ... Just the right amount of people watching, bars and music. 3rd floor is a great place to have a party S well.
Response: Sweet! Thanks

Kate Jowaisas: Free popcorn and koozie! Small place but good vibe.

Matthew Pollock: Friendly staff, fast service

Response: We're zen that you're zen, Stephen. Thanks for the enthusiastic-but-chill review!

Connor Garvey: Very cool spot on 14th st. They have great happy hour drink deals and good vibes. No food besides some free popcorn but they let you bring outside food in which is very nice.
Response: Thanks for coming by, Connor. And thanks for the review. While we appreciate the 5 stars, we respect the honesty even more. Come back any time!

kevin van der welle: Really cool place to have a beer on the not-so-busy times. Great selection of beers btw! The free popcorn is a nice bonus and it makes the place smell real good

Cindy Yang: Vaccination card + id needed. Nicely presented dish, friendly service (although a little slow), and yummy dishes. The portion is not so big but sharing friendly. Recommend fried halloumi cheese, eggs, hummus, and Turkish coffee. Also get their cocktails.

Belkiss Anane: My go-to 💙 i absolutely love everything about this place. From their brunch menu to their cocktails to Arak to their Muhammara! Everything I eat here feels like a hug.
Response: Thank you!!

Jessica C: This is a great bar! The cocktails are excellent. In particular the frozen mint lemonade and the Janissary Corps are great. I don’t remember the name, but the hot buttered drink in the winter is phenomenal. Great vibe for friends or a date. Just not that strong in the food department. Still recommend. Just go for cocktails instead of dinner.

Rima Saif: I love this place. The brunch here was amazing and every time I come to Washington DC I always make it a point to stop by here. And now that they have brunch it’s absolutely perfect. The food was light and so tasteful. And their drinks are so perfect for spring/summer day.
Response: Thank you so much Rima!

R: Some of the drinks are decent but not great if you are hyped about it. I would say Jack and Rose or Bar Charley down the block make better cocktails. The wings, fries and some of the other bites are good but the primary appeal of this place is it’s ambiance reflected well, more than in any other place, in the walls with quirky middle eastern framed covers and portraits as well as the lighting and the playlist. The patio is a respite from humid afternoons on beautiful breezy evenings and the service is mostly good. One of the bartenders upstairs perhaps could use a little courteous manners having firsthand noticed his overall rudeness to patrons. All in all, cozy spot for evening hangouts and a little after since it is open late.

Chioma O: Loved this place! The food and general vibes are wonderful .will definitely come back to try other things on the menu!

Maha Kamel: This place is the gem this city needed. Not only are the cocktails and food selection amazing, I come here to feel like home. The music and diverse selection of cocktails, beer, and entertainment is top notch and unlike any other place I’ve been to. We tried the brunch menu today and it was TO DIE FOR 🤤 so yummy!! The halloumi is the best I’ve ever had and everything else was delicious, we tried the chicken fattah, the foul madamas, manouche, Turkish coffee that was so authentic I felt like I was in Istanbul, and the best Bellini and pomegranate mimosa I’ve ever had!!
Response: Thank you Maha!! Hope to see you again soon ☺️

Rahul Tilva: Green Zone is one of my all time favorite bars in DC. Amazing cocktails, friendly people and service, and just a great atmosphere.
Response: Thank you so much!

Ana Paula Pellegrino: I love this place. The drinks are tasty, the rest of the patrons are fun, the DJs are really good and the dance floor is on fiiiiiiire! Always guaranteed a good time :)

Ben: Fantastic bar and even better bartenders! Great locally sourced cocktails and beers. Would highly recommend if in the Chinatown area.

Cami Pease: Great craft beer selection and cocktails. The menu rotates frequently which keeps things fresh. Fun ambiance and a wonderful staff.

Sojung Na: Nice place So great cocktail And Taxes are included in a drink Great cocktail

Noah McKee: Cozy basement bar, all local drafts and spirits made on the east coast from North Carolina and up. No name brand drinks for the most part besides a few limited staples like patron, black label, jack Daniels, etc. Friendly regulars, small but great staff, good place for happy groups. Beer list constantly changes because they try to rotate a lot of local drafts. Stop in for sure if in DC

Janessa: Private party for our staff and the ambiance was beautiful. Perfect spot to rent out. The sandwiches and potato salad was great. Lots of beverage options. 🍾🍹🍸🍷🥃

Jessica Dalzell: Tasty beverages. Trivia on Sunday was great! The bartender and trivia host were both extremely nice.

Bianca Hutton: Chill place for drinks, cool interior but the orange crushes were highly disappointing- they were watery, weak and not served with a fresh pressed orange, instead a pre-mix was used. For $10, we expected a more high quality drink.

Joy Meldshisterz: Good place for some drinking sessions with some group of friends. The place is in a basement which is nice (kind of discreet drinking style) if you want to just simply chill out and relax.

Natasha Shokouhi: Stopped in for happy hour with an old friend. The place was empty and not too loud. Perfect for catching up. We shared the enormous portion of appetizer nachos, and had some cocktails. Definitely worth it! Service is great. Vibe is chill. They play old school hip hop - the classics! Shortly before we left, the crowd came in for the trivia. So perfect timing for us! A nice neighborhood spot!

Haywood Brookins: Found this little hole in the wall because the first Bar I went to had me ready to leave D.C all together. Music was good ,vibe was crazy and drinks was everything hidden gem in the DMV #JayandKiraapprove

Miss Guided: Asked for a drunk bartender told me no then charged me 24 for 1 drink…

Hugh Wilkinson, II: Very chill environment with great service!

Gene B.: Low-key place by Howard. Service is ehhhhh but the vibe is really cool. Located close to a wing and pizza location as well.

Sev Velasquez: I wanted to kick it with some friends I haven’t seen since the pandemic began. The front door Man/Busser was very nice and explained to us that we had to sign in and include contact info. Our server/bartender Alexis was just amazing. Bathroom was clean. Area was clean. We had a great time. All around good vibes. I can’t wait to come back here.

Sky Deane: if live music was available, like everyday, I would be one happy camper! awesome neighborhood bar.

Joe: Great selection of beer, good happy hour and cool bartender. Plus free popcorn. Been coming here for years and this place sticks around. Down in the basement but good bar

Robert James: My wife and I stopped in here before going to see Tool and instantly loved the place. The bartenders were extremely nice and helpful and they were playing the best music. We will make it a point to stop here anytime we’re in the area.

Tod Bowen: Fun dive bar ‐ enjoyed my drink here. And the bartender was helpful and friendly.

Emily Kline: DO NOT COME HERE. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. Me and my friends (a group of 5) visited this bar on 4/4 around 0100. The security guy (John) came up and deicided to harass us (a group of women) for our IDs despite many people (parties of 10+, but male) coming through. My friend jokingly tried to have him guess our ages but he want having any of it. We awkwardly gave him our IDs, suggested he was being rude, and he promised us unlimited popcorn from the bar. After having our IDs checked (after we seated ourselves), Doug, the bartender was incredibly rude. We told him the situation and it was obvious he was peeved as he dragged the beer glass across the bar. He begrudgingly served us 2 beers and immediately turned his back towards us and walked away. I do feel like we were treated unfairly because a group of 4 men walked in right after us, never got ID’d and was immediately greeted by the bartender as “hey bro”. And never was asked for their IDs. I Do not Recommend this bar to anybody and I strongly suggest you stay away. So many better businesses you can give your money to.

Lorna Cole: Very authentic, amazing beer, unique people. Love it.

Vicenta Marcela: Nice place, bartender is so friendly. Beer bar and Cider are so great. My fiancé and me love this place, we always visit this place when we go to the downtown.

Nick Marquardt: Really cool underground vibe (figuratively and literally). Good selection of beers and liquor.

Brad Badger: My girlfriend and I made sure to stop here after she had been here years ago and loved it. Our bartender Deborah was 10/10. She made some amazing drinks and was incredibly great to us. We got an appetizer sampler and the fried fish bites were absolutely killer. Live music was great as well. Cool vibes and great service. I will definitely stop by Madams Organ again the next time I am in DC!

Eve Breier: Lovely atmosphere! The music is good, bartenders are friendly, nice mix of club-like dance floor upstairs, seated area on the middle floor, and a bar/performance area downstairs. It has it all. Also pretty funky decor all over.

James Bladen: I really wanted to try this place and menu sounded good, but waited over 15 minutes or more for someone to take my order and never did! I asked the bartender if someone was going to wait on my table and I could not hear what his response was, he just mumbled something. I was being as patient as possible and understand places are short staffed. There was a big table of around 10 people upstairs and I was by myself downstairs, I guess that explains it. The bartender was more interested staring at his phone than making sure his customers were taken care of. I was going to order a large order and I do tip good, but sorry, you just lost a customer and me recommending a place if you ignore solo diners like that.
Response: Sorry it didn’t work out for you. We are having labor issues but that is no excuse

Stacy Walker: Awesome spot, easy bar, and amazing entertainment! Check them out on Tuesday nights for great live music

Ieshia E. Butler: Food was just ok. Nothing to write home about. I am from the Caribbean and was expecting the soul food to be a bit more flavorful. The waitress was really nice and the menu was affordable.
Response: Maybe you wanted Caribbean food and not Soul food

Amanda: Great dark chilled atmosphere. Multiple floors with a partially covered roof top bar. Live bands. Friendly speedy service. Reasonable food and drink prices. Pool table available.

DiiJay Victorious: Great place. Bouncer is cool and ppl are sociable. Bands are cool. Beware atmospheres change momentarily and without notice (not for badly, just different crowds)

Alison Scott: Loved the live music, bartender was so friendly! Amazing vibes - so glad we stopped in here. One of my favorite stops while visiting DC

Joveria Javed: We went for happy hour Friday night and the bartender was extremely unprofessional. He spilled the drink he gave me and then was tending to other people, which is fine. But every time he was free, we would raise our hands. We were not belligerent. Then he YELLED at us about stopping and then finally came to help us order. Please teach your bartenders to not yell at just anybody. Maybe don’t drink on the job.

Emma Rentz: A great addition to Admo! The staff is stellar, the food and ambiance are also great, and they have fun drinks. The all you can drink happy hours sounds super intriguing.

Christina Y: We went today for the Miracle bar and it was great despite the rain and outdoor only seating. They have a little patio area set up with a tent and heater with delicious Christmas themed drinks. Try the Naughty shot and the Christmas Carol Barrel. It tastes like the spirit of Christmas and made the season bright for me! We also tried the Koji Chicken and california roll. The koji was delish ! I hope to come back soon to try their other items.

Jesseca Makeup: Okay so..this was pretty disappointing, the pop ups prior to this one so far has been phenomenal. The decor this time around was kinda cheesy and uncomfortable compared to previous pop ups. But , I could deal with that because it was still festive nonetheless. What I couldn’t deal with was the expensive prices! I was honestly shocked at the prices after ordering. The drinks were meh , the food was “ok” . We ordered gingerbread cupcakes that were dry and tough. And walked out of there unimpressed after paying 180.00! They sneak a service charge in there and then expect for you to leave a additional tip. Think I’m good on this pop up for years to come.

Dani Brown: Had made a reservation to enjoy a nice dinner outside in an igloo with a few friends. While booking the reservation resy specified that we would have our own igloo and server. When we arrived for dinner the seating was just general tent seating outside with other guests. Our server took a bit of time to get over to us to take our drink orders, and with that being said she was extremely out of it. We had a group of ten and yes that is a lot of people to serve but everyone’s drinks came at different times and some people didn’t get there drinks till 30 minutes after they had ordered. The food came before most of our drinks and we had to remind our server we ordered drinks a couple of times. The owners were very nice and another server helped us out with a few things. The food was good. I understand they had a Christmas pop up bar inside the venue but either way it was a bit of shame our experience was what is was. Hopefully they can do something about the speed of drinks and other than that food was good.

Natasha Hansen: Enjoyed a delicious cocktail. Their streetry is nice and warm! With friends we shared the fried chicken, dragon roll, peppers and edamame. The fried chicken was amazing! Everything was delicious and service was great! I do wish they had more winter-y cocktails!
Response: Thank you! Miracle, our Christmas themed pop up bar starts next week 11/26-12/31! Be sure to come back and try any or all 10 holiday cocktails!!

Kasey Herren: Definitely a bar for the younger crowd. They do have an awesome selection of beer, but the food was lacking. Stop by the neighboring Mexican restaurant first then go have a good evening getting smashed at Derbys after.

C.: Was only in here for an hour or so to meet a friend but the server was nice enough. Ambiance was meh. Only had one drink.

Chato Zarate: Amazing bar! This place is such a vibe! From the customer service and friendly staff, to the atmosphere! Great place to grab a drink, especially when they got weekly specials! I also really enjoyed the music they had playing. Definitely a go-to from here on out
Response: Thank you Chato!

Little Miss Whiskey's Golden Dollar: what do users think?

India Lindsay: Great for dancing and affordable drinks!! Only bar I’ve found so far offering a great environment and $6 bar drinks. Small but fun dance floor upstairs. Went on a rainy Friday night and it wasn’t too crowded. The majority of people were dancing and having a great time. DJ played songs we all knew and took requests.

Justin Soundwaves: Friendly respectful bartenders Safe but rowdy weekend with music spinning upstairs Week notes are more intimate but still energetic...always good music downstairs and up ... Down stairs is rock records of all genre on nice speakers upstairs rap and pop (only weekend) on pa Is usually get Pabst but I’ve seen whiskey enthusiast come in and enjoy a variety of flavors. Also lost my wallet there one night and no one even took it was on the floor next day with all items inside

Samantha Horn: Love this place! It’s definitely my go-to for a drink with friends my neighborhood. I love sitting on the patio area and upstairs on the patio to have conversations and a chill vibe. Then the inside for a loud club-type atmosphere. Best of both worlds!

Axel Wiksten Färnström: Had a great visit on a Monday. Hector in the bar offered equally great beer recommendations and conversation. Nice atmosphere, we enjoyed the mystique in the bar as well as the back patio. Hidden gem!

Morrill Wimbush: Professional, courteous bartendersWeekend safe yet boisterous with music playing upstairsWeek notes are more personal yet still lively.

Ankz Patel: Me and my friends love the back patio. We had a blast here. Gonna go back again!

Timothy Abdella: Whiskey Yes… and an amazing selection of German beer… Tucher, Gaffel, Radeberger…

Brooke Powell: Kind of dark and dive-y but if you’re into that vibe I’d say go for it. The cheapo whiskey flight is cool - The Awesomeness is dangerous. I like the patio. The dance floor was mad crowded, some girl was rubbing her butt on me, some other girl was begging my bf to dance with her but we successfully gave her our friend Mark instead. Now you know.

Morris American Bar: what do users think?

Martin Schmidt: nice atmosphere, slightly too much air-con , or we as European are not use it ?.. We ordered 2 espresso martini, they were average, So much vodka , and coffee was not strong enough. For my taste But their original cocktail were Bom !!! Jamaican twist on Manhattan super tasty . La Reina was soooo good , if you live tequila try this . Overall i would definitely go back
Response: Hi Martin! We are ecstatic to hear you found us all the way from Europe-- it was our pleasure having you! Thank you for taking the time to try our selection of cocktails and for this detailed review (we know a cocktail connoisseur when we meet one)! Looking forward to seeing you in the future !

Bradley Popkin: Swanky and cozy bar with two floors. Spent some time here with family and friends. Great cocktail selection and service. We were greeted quickly and everyone was friendly. I really appreciated the full-size Johnnie Walker figure outside lol.

Neil Patel: The staff are super friendly and accommodating. We ordered off the menu and were pleasantly surprised at how much we liked our drinks. The mocktails and zero proof drinks were great too!
Response: Neil, thank you for your review! We're glad to hear that you had a great experience and we hope to see you again soon!

Andrea Martin: Good drinks, good service. It’s across the street from where Google currently shows. Has an outdoor patio that feels much different than the indoor vibe
Response: We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your experience with Morris! Thank you for this great review!

Nirupa P: Good experience. We did the Halloween special & the drinks were good. We both got 3 drinks each & they were great. Our favorite was Noche de sueno & dia de muertos. Food menu were also limited. We got the devil eggs & they were good.

Rachel Lipton: The space was thoughtfully designed with a great bar but the drinks were a bit of a letdown - certainly not bad but I was expecting something a touch more exciting (I know they rotate monthly so I’ll be back to try some new ones soon) The vibe was also a touch quiet/empty which was a bit of a bummer since we were celebrating but perhaps it would have been better if we were there earlier or later

Adam Pusateri: Morris is without a doubt an absolute gem of a cocktail bar and my personal favorite. The bartenders are not only inventive but also thoroughly well-versed in classics and contemporary drinks. You can tell the whole team is proud of their bar, and it really shows. The seasonal menu is their own impressive creation, but make no mistake, they gladly take requests and offer new suggestions. Inside is a time capsule of a classic bar. The colors, décor, lighting, music – it is the perfect place for relaxing drinks. Outside is shaded and casual, exactly what you want for a group of friends. Other bars even the often lauded “Bests in DC” have fallen short of what Morris is consistently doing here in terms of quality, knowledge, skill, and service. You get way more than what you pay for here. As amazing as it all is, it is not at all stuffy. Everybody is friendly, easygoing, and enjoys what they are doing. This review is long overdue and could not be more well deserved. Morris often surprises, never disappoints, and after all their extra hard work during the pandemic, I cannot wait to sit at the actual bar again. Until then, cheers!
Response: Thank you so much Adam! So glad you enjoyed your experience.

Mohan Sun: Our favorite cocktail joint in town! The drinks are top-notch and reasonably-priced. We’ve been to other “good” places that charged $16 for a to-go cup. Morris beats that in so many aspects and it never disappoints. Everyone works there are super nice and knowledgeable. Doug, Ian and Rhine are skillful bartenders who can fix you up with almost any requests. They usually have seasonal cocktail menus and recently added low & non-alcohol drinks which is perfect for a person like me who can’t drink too much. I got Strawberry Kitty last time and it’s sooo good! If you want something refreshing, you NEED to get it! Please support their business. They work hard to stay afloat while continue to innovate great drinks during this difficult time.
Response: Thank you for your review and your support Mohan!

barmini by José Andrés: what do users think?

Natalie Caldwell: We were in DC for the weekend, looking for a place to get drinks before our later dinner reservation. There is a reason barmini has the reputation it does, and our experience was more than we could have hoped for. The attention to detail was both expected and impressive - the care and perfection that went into each crafted concoction was amazing. We described to our waiter what our flavor profiles were and he made us both personalized (and perfect) cocktails. We topped off our before dinner drinks with the brioche. *Chefs kiss* and that butter…I’d eat a whole loaf. Can’t wait for the chance to come back.

Kennith “Conley” Coleman: We were able to enjoy the cocktail flight. The experience was amazing and all the cocktails were so delicious. The service was excellent. We also tried the grilled cheese appetizer and it was beyond good.

Triloka Shanbhag: For those of you wondering if the long waitlist and tough-to-get-in reservation system renders this place worth going to or not, I’m here to tell you it is utterly and absolutely worth the wait. The experience of being at Barmini and having their cocktail flight is unparalleled. From the sophisticated palette displayed in the variety of cocktails to the servers that pay you copious amount of attention, every little detail is planes to the tee. At times you may feel you are transported to be amidst a lab experiment but the drinks made at your table using liquid Nitrogen are delicious and a spectacle to watch. We also tried the brioche bun, it absolutely melts in your mouth. Having been to a few other Jose Andrés restaurants in the DC area and always being pleasantly surprised with my experiences, this certainly keeps the streak going. Can’t wait to try Minibar by Jose Andres too.

Mukesh Bhakta: Just Wonderful. Vegetarian food paired with drink for me and a la crate for my wife. The dishes can be substituted with non vegetarian. We had 6 small plates and were full by the end of 2 hours. Each item was superb and we did add Australian Truffels to 4 dishes which elevated them substantially. It is definitely worth it for the experience. It is expensive but we enjoy these throes of restaurants very much. Staff was precise and excellent. Cocktails were unique and superb.

DeJuae: Food presentation was some of the best I’ve seen here in DC. It has 2 Michelin Stars. The intimate setting and couches make for a nice date night!

James King: Amazing food. Fantastic service. Highly recommended.Presentation is very elegant. Decor is intimate. Call ahead.

the Gibson: what do users think?

Jeff Schwamb: A brilliant speak-easy with bartenders that truly take their craft seriously. The custom mezcal drink was spot on the lighting and atmosphere promoted an escape from the outside world.

A V: Definitely a 4 star experience, not more. Clean, with a nice atmosphere ( music selection was not speakeasy.. more hip hop), and the staff was very nice. However, drinks were not impressive for the price paid. Also, they should describe the drinks better, especially if they have an online menu. Went to 600t on the same night and much better experience

byron subero: So my new thing is trying to go to all the speakeasy in the DMV. 6 down many to go. Gibson has a relaxing vibe with a indoor and outdoor seating.

2luvis2live: This place is so discreet. Once inside, you are totally removed from outside and embraced by the atmosphere which was chill and laid back. Everyone was cool and down to earth. Our bartender was so warm and friendly (Enjoy your upcoming birthday in August Leo). I would definitely visit again. Thanks for a great time.

Paige Sheats: This is one of my go to places. I love the vibe and it’s very speakeasy-ish! I also can’t say enough good things about the cocktails! They’re not only delicious but also very unique based on other speakeasies and bars around town! The only negative is it’s hard to get a table if you’re just trying to walk in, so book a reservation in advance.

James Lee: Great drinks and beautiful interior. I also recommend ordering your own and letting the bartender be creative. The bar is currently closed (tables only) and service was a bit slow when I went, but still had a good time.

Maya Bryant: This speakeasy was tucked away off of U street. The drinks were okay, but the vibe was everything. Very fun for a chill night. Make sure you have a reservation.

Round Robin Bar: what do users think?

Caitlin Cordova: The Round Robin Bar is the perfect place to have a cocktail during the holidays when you’re downtown to see the National Christmas Tree. Located inside the Willard Hotel, which is a work of art in itself, the circular Bar serves cocktails and a full menu of classic options. Cocktails ~$20 apiece. Happy hour is crowded, but there are plenty of standing options around the bar itself, and additional seating options in the hallway of the hotel’s lobby. Our bar table service was quick and efficient. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Annie Wilson: Attentive service, beautiful warm atmosphere and classic drinks - a delicious experience. The mint julep is spectacular, not fussy, and the staff are cheerful, knowledgeable and enjoyable to watch keeping bar. We went here to celebrate an occasion but we also went to see the national Christmas tree - great location for this. The historical aspects of the bar make a great addition to the experience.

Paul Terry Services Lawn Care & Landscaping: Christina and her staff are - in a word - AMAZING. Kind, caring and beyond gracious. Special requests are a not a problem for this crew. For the most unique and special celebration, look no further. Grateful for this staff.

Hue Tran: Went to the place for a drink and dessert. Service was horrible. I was eating on my dessert and the lady walking passed my table and just grabbed my dessert plate without saying anything, none of the " are you done with this? Or can I take this? Was happened.

Alex Holston: Fantastic. In the 1800’s Henry Clay brought the Mint Julep to Washington DC featuring it at this bar. Rich in history they still make this favorite May drink the same way. Makers Mark. Rose Simple Syrup. Muddle mint. Crushed ice. Our bar tender was fantastic. One of the best. We will return.

Patsy Agpalza: The Round Robin Bar at the Willard Hotel in D.C. is quickly becoming a favorite spot to have a drink and soak up the atmosphere. The Cedar Plank Roasted Salmon is absolutely delicious. I have ordered it twice now and have been very happy each time. The Bartender, Elias has worked there for 30 years and is absolutely phenomenal. Ask him to make you any drink and you will not be disappointed.

Matthew: A classy bar in a historic hotel only steps away from where Ulysses S Grant coined the terms lobbyists. Great bartenders who know how to serve a proper glass of whiskey.

Denson Liquor Bar: what do users think?

TexCat: Wanted to stop into a bar after a night tour of DC before heading back to our Airbnb. Happened upon Denson Liquor Bar - mightily glad we did! What a great little hidden gem! Friendly, personable staff, great drinks and service. Awesome cozy ambiance. Highly recommend

Benjamin G: Was visiting DC and wanted somewhere for after dinner drinks on a Friday night. Found this place. A little hidden but worth the walk down. Cool atmosphere, nice vibe and mix of people. The bartenders were great. They both make a mean old fashioned! True mixologists.

Austin Shaheen: Excellent service and the place has a really cool vibe! My fiancé and I were here on a Saturday evening for her birthday and they treated us to a complimentary champagne, very nice touch. We’ll definitely be back and recommend our friends visit here

Dane Fergusson: MUST GO! Walk down the stairs to step back in time to the speakeasy era. Just the setting is worth the trip; but, the drinks are incredible. Add to this the world class bartender Dinesha. Yeah, I said it. World Class! Excellent drinks, suggestions for other drinks, great conversation, asking our preferences to tweak to our tastes, made us feel like we were her only customers... and oh yeah the place got slammed with an overflow crowd... to busy now? No way! She still had time for hugs and pictures, before we left!
Response: Thanks Dane, you rock! All the staff thought you two were great and we all love Denisha too. She's fantastic. Come back and see us soon!

Matt Noble: What a great spot this is! Very old school and dim lighting, as if you are back in time at a speak easy. Drinks were all great and so was the music. If we are ever in DC again we will be sure to come back to Denson! Highly recommend to stop in for a drink if you haven’t already!

Brendan F: There is something about walking into a below street level bar that brings a feeling of vintage nostaligia. The staff is filled with smiles, conversation and great drink ideas and the food is unique and delicious. It does get crowded but that should tell you about the quality of the place. Definitely worth a visit.
