Stacy Lemery: Having a West Elm accessible to bus and metro lines is great for residents of the DC area. There is always lots more online, but being able to see the quality of bedding, furniture, etc in person makes a big difference. I have purchased a bed, bedding, hallway shelving, a shoe rack, curtains, candle holders, and other decor from West Elm.

Ms.: I love the items in the store. Very stylish and very unique. 2 full floors of sofas, pillows, dishes, pot holders, baskets, wall decor and more. Easy to stay in store and "look"..sure to find an item for your home or gift for another. Can't really talk about customer service except to say no one acknowledged or ask me did I need help to find an item. I was on my own..succeed

Eric Overton: Staff at this store were basically useless and didn’t seem to know much about the products for sale. Fortunately, I was only there to test a floor model before buying online. Shipping was fast with only two weeks between purchase and delivery. Delivery dudes were both prompt and chill.

Geneva: I was wary of buying from this store based on some of the reviews here; however, after a year of searching for the right sectional, I found the perfect one for me at West Elm. I received good service from the store. The sales person was very clear that my sectional - which I bought in November for a nice discount - would not arrive until early January. As promised, I got calls and emails from the delivery department the second week of January and was able to schedule a date that worked for me. The two delivery guys were amazing - they had to maneuver their big truck down a narrow alley to get to the loading dock. They were professional and efficient and out of my apartment in less than 15 minutes. The sectional is exactly what I wanted and so comfortable.

MIchael Wright: Prices are unnecessarily high, since the doors are left open during warm weather, thus requiring more energy for A/C,, which also incrementally contributes to climate-changing emissions. So, not the shop for customers who either don't like higher prices or want to help the environment.

Angela Garcia: STAY AWAY FROM WEST ELM. It's customer service is the worst, they won't ever deliver your items on time, they won't care and won't do anything about their mistakes with your order....it is just not worth it. I have received the wrong item TWICE (which honestly I don't understand how they can mess up the size of a piece which is clearly stated in their website other than it should have never been offered there in the first place because it doesn't exist). Now I'm stuck with an item which is not the one I ordered, and west elm won't care to pick it up and complete the return. THIS BRAND IS A JOKE.

The store associate we worked with was knowledgeable, professional, and personable, and really helped us choose the best option for our apartment. Our furniture won't arrive for a while, but we'll eagerly await it! The store itself was clean and well-organized.

Jonathan Mullen: Some nice stuff. Seems overpriced for what it is. Similar to Crate and Barrel.Joybird is just down the street and offers higher quality furniture at a better price.

Annapurna Mitra: The worst delivery experience I have encountered. I ordered a dining table and four chairs, with in-home delivery. The chairs were sent via UPS, not assembled, and with no explanation despite paying $250 for in-home delivery. I live alone, and there are 7 pages of assembly instructions requiring two people. I have no way of doing this, and am left with a living room like a furniture warehouse. On the other hand, the dining table, which was ready 10 days ago, and I had asked the customer service to wait and schedule an appointment for all items together is yet to arrive. I cannot find a way to schedule anything on the website, and on the phone I can not find a way to talk to a human being. I have received no response to my email. If I could give zero stars I would.

Sarah Gunel: Customer service was super here! All of the sales associates were helpful, but not pushy. They were also pleasant (happy). After we returned home from our shopping, I realize that I left my daughter's hat there. I called and the woman who answered the phone said she would mail it to me. I was incredibly impressed with their customer service. I would definitely return to this store!

Janet Robinson: We've used Rockville Interior's several times over the past 20 years and have always been delighted with their fine work. We recently had a sofa, love seat and 2 chairs reupholstered and they look gorgeous. They also redid the cushions and they are so comfortable now. Their friendly and professional staff helped up choose the right fabric from their vast selection in their beautiful showroom. We saved a lot of time & money reupholstering our old furniture that fits our space perfectly versus searching for and buying new furniture that just doesn't seem to have the quality as our old furniture does. DJ Karni: I had Lutron motorized shades installed yesterday by Rockville Interiors. The entire experience from measuring, ordering, and installation and post-installation follow up was seamless! I'm really impressed with their attention to detail, measuring and making sure everything would work for my particularity tricky set-up. The pro-active follow up throughout the process from Ilan was much appreciated. I knew that he was on top of everything and I had no reason to worry about anything. The installation techs were also fantastic! We've had a lot of work done over the years and I was really impressed with how professional they were, bringing in blankets to set their equipment and tools on, covering our furniture so it didn't get dusty from drilling into the ceiling, making sure everything was set before leaving and cleaning up every last bit of debris. They were done really fast too. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!

Mary T.: Helpful customer service, and wonderful selection. A very enjoyable shopping experience. Would come back! Only negative was one employee, possibly a manager, Lisa. The associate checking us out asked her for help, she came over obviously annoyed with him then ignored us standing directly in front of her. This male associate was kind, friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to help us. It bothered me that she would treat him this way, especially in front of customers. Maybe she was having a day or was exhausted but it was off putting.

Noah Merlin: Here is why you should never buy a piece of furniture that is "In Stock" at Crate & Barrel again: - My wife and I were looking for two swivel chairs in stock, so we could get them relatively soon and not wait the insane lead times that all new furniture has right now. - We went to Crate & Barrel on 12/24/21: Our sales rep at Crate & Barrel told us our two Drew Swivel chairs were both in stock (~$1,900 total for the two). - We decided to purchase the two chairs on the basis they were in stock. We were told they would be delivered in two weeks (two weeks from 12/24 is 1/7/22). - On 1/5 we received an email that they were being delayed and would be delivered in mid January. We called the store because we thought it was odd that items that are in stock in the warehouse could be delivered. When calling in, we were told that the items actually were not in stock. They offered us a $150 gift card once the item was delivered to make up for it. I did not accept, but they weren't willing to do anything else. - Every two weeks our item was delayed longer, and we were sent an email saying the items would be delivered two weeks later. - This morning, on 2/22/22, we received an email, stating the delivery would be in early March. It has been delayed for two months now, when we had a two-week lead time. So I sent an email to customer support, stating that I would like a 50% refund. Instead of reaching out to me, they emailed me to let me know my order has been cancelled and I have been provided a refund. I have now waited since 12/24/21 (two months) since the order. I have no swivel chairs. I have no order. I now need to begin the search for chairs all over again. I called support at the store, they said they couldn't do anything and I needed to contact corporate. I contacted corporate, and Elaine tried to explain to me that it was my fault for not reading the receipt and that it didn't matter what the sales rep said to deceive my wife and myself into buying these chairs which never came. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM THIS STORE. Crate & Barrel has now admitted to me several times that they have an inventory system bug that makes it so they do not know when an item is in stock or not. This could be true, or they might use it as an excuse for predatory business practices, intentionally misleading consumers into making purchases they may not otherwise. If it is true, they do not account for their errors and expect the consumer to pay for it instead. Goodbye Crate & Barrel forever.

Leo Sheridan: Liz D. came to my rescue when a 3rd party courier service lost a Christmas present! I can't say enough about how professional she was throughout the entire dramatic ordeal. Liz honestly saved Christmas. I've been a customer of Crate for quite some time. I even worked for the company many moons ago. I was astounded by how swiftly Liz handled everything, and she did it during THE MOST busiest time of year!

Jennifer Lee: Very nice community type center for shopping Crate and Barrel is great some nice restaurants and parking if you want to pay for it. It is near American University so you see lots of students around and lots of pedestrians. It's right off Massachusetts avenue so it is bus accessible only as far as public transportation.

Vishal Sinha: This is another good location for Crate and Barrel. The only negative shopping here is the scant parking options. Once you are in the store, the experience is worth the parking issue. The store is laid out well making shopping a good experience. It's hard not to buy more than what we had in mind! The staff is friendly and always ready to help answer any questions. The selection at that store is quite good and we like the products sold here. Or kitchen is stocked with many of the essentials from Crate and Barrel!

Tommy Tang: Very nice and east pickup experience! The stuffs are so nice!

Mohammed Audi: Great quality, just downright horrendous service. We bought all of our furniture across 6 months and it's all really sturdy, high end and elegant. They've done a great job in modern design. If follow-up services mean anything to you, such as eventually replacing sofa cushions, you need to find another place. Any form of follow up requires months of chasing down, pleading and disappointment.

Ardavan Tookaloo: Very modern and beautiful. I like this place a lot. You will never walk out empty handed.

Aysenur Melek: We had an awful experience here. Arlington deserves better. Keep your business to better places. They make people feel as if the stuff in the store is more valuable than them.

Matt Jepsen: Whatever you do, don't order online. BBB uses UPS Sure Post where UPS delivers to your local/regional post office who in turn delivers it with your mail. I'm a big proponent of the US Mail and I have no beef with UPS. But, they often don’t work well together and the handoff makes for significant delays. If you're going big box for online shopping, stick with Walmart/Target/Amazon or better yet, support a local business.

Patrick: The people working do not wear the masks appropriately - mouth covered, nose not. One employee was kind enough to put more disinfectant wipes for the carts after asked him to. Cool products and great place to get small sized items for travel.

Karen Smith: Found everything I needed in one trip. The sales associates were not only very helpful, but very available and plentiful; which, doesn't happen much these days. I didn't realize how much I missed a well organized craft store until I came into joann fabric's.

Life with Kia: Following clients around the store. Manager was really rude. Denied our purchase for 20 minutes. Treated people of different races differently. Locked us in the store. I will never come back to this store., there are plenty of other Joann fabrics to shop.

KMB: I’ve always had a great relationship with the establishment as a whole, but this store was so disrespectful to me, friends, and comrades. I want to play devils advocate for them so bad but what they did was so disrespectful! We spent thousands of dollars here and they were trying to kick us out by closing they’re cutting booth and we’re following us all around making sure we didn’t steal. Let me mind you, there was a white couple who they treated so well. Obviously I am a person of color making a comment like this, but that’s so unprofessional and disrespectful! They even locked us in the store! Who does that?! They said that it was so no body else walks in… how are we supposed to walk out then? Make it make sense. No sense = nonsense. They were even talking about my friends and comrades in a different language so we wouldn’t know what they were saying. Very disrespectful and I’m very disappointed in this store.

My-Self S: Miss Keneisha 10+ she was amazing , I drove all the way from Virginia to the store, sense that was the only store that was showing that has Cricut mugs available. When I got there I could not find any on the floor. I passed by Miss Keneisha and ask her about it she told me everything was at the front. I when to the front and the cashier said there did not have any. I when back to the website and it still was showing that there had 16 left. Miss Keneisha saw me looking around and said that she will help me after she is done with a customer. Few sec later she came and ask me to show her what I was looking for, after that she checked again and said she will look in the back sense she could not find any on the floor either. She left and few min later ,came back with a big box of all 16 mugs. I was so happy I was jumping out of the joy from inside. What I want to say thank you Miss Keneisha for going out of your way to help me find the mugs. I appreciate it so much.

Tiffani Makala: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and extreme racist customer service reps. Very inappropriate communication that made me feel uncomfortable . They locked the doors so we wouldn’t be able to exit. Will not be returning again. Do not recommend. Was absolutely racial profiling. We not shop there again

Bri “The Mezzo Maven” Cooper: I started going here holiday season 2020. I ended up buying my entire holiday decor from here! The prices are great! There is always a sale! I love that the collections are very unique. I should mention the sales associates. One time I wanted to make a hat for a high tea. The sales associate asked me a few important questions "have I done this craft before?" She had the best shortcut idea and it looked AMAZING! The other day I was in therr for fall crafts and guess what? IT WAS STILL FALL!! Great selection and again the sales rep was very helpful and friendly to all of his customers.

Shelbi LUCAS: This one is a bit messier than the other Joann's I've visited. It is one of the smaller ones. Though, I've been to a small one in Ohio and they always seem to have it together. Also, it seems the person at the register (may be the manager) kept my coupons that print out with the receipt.😕 Just so you know this one is inside the mall and down stairs. So there's two mall entrances you can use to get to it.

Carrie: I bought a sectional for my "small space." I worked with Laura at the Clarendon store in Arlington, VA. She fit me into her schedule promptly so that I could qualify for the sale price before the deadline, and came to my home the same day I visited the store to get measurements and evaluate fabric samples. I placed the order and received the item earlier than promised. The delivery team was professional and the whole experience was very positive. I love my new sectional sofa and it fits perfectly in my living room.

Samantha Katz: I have worked with Antoinette since 2018. I have bought several pieces for a variety of rooms in my house. I have a particular eclectic style and a fairly strong opinion of what I like and she works with me. She never pressures me to buy. She will give you the same great service if you are only buying one piece or if you are redoing a complete room/house. She is a great designer and while I have not used her for design, I would highly recommend her.

Ken and Tricia Hettler: Julie Sink did a fabulous job helping us design our family room. It was very helpful to see the different designs on Ethan Allen's 3D design software. Amina Bennett Nevels: Every piece we ordered (and we ordered 4 rooms of furniture) came nicked/chipped. After waiting a year for our items we were sorely disappointed, especially at this price point. Customer service was spotty and did very little rectify these issues. I didn't buy furniture from this establishment only to have it require repair upon arrival. Last time I order from this place.

Vanessa Villagarcia: WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! In April 2021 my husband and I were searching for furniture for our new home. I purchased a few pieces of furniture at Pottery Barn before without any regrets but we wanted to go in a different direction this time. We went to Ethan Allen because we thought it was high end and good quality furniture. We ordered furniture for our Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen and our new Bedroom. We also placed an order for Window treatments for the entire house (About 30/35 Windows). We placed the furniture in April 2021 and we were told and assured that the furniture was going to be delivered and installed in August 2021 the latest. It is Mid-November and we are still waiting for our furniture to arrive. We were so very disappointed that we wanted to cancel our furniture order but our request was denied. A couple of weeks ago we received a sofa and a dining table. The sofa arrived with a big and noticeable stain on one of the cushions and some dents on the wood. First, We contacted Ethan Allen several times since August to follow-up and get updates about our furniture and the sales representative was not too helpful and always gave vague answers. There was and still there is not a straight answer regarding delivery dates and now about the sofa cushion replacement. All I heard is Ethan Allen processes and a lot of excuses to fulfill our furniture order and get the furniture replaced. The last time I spoke with the sales rep. she literally said: "I am hoping you are enjoying your beautiful furniture" I am not sure how she dared to say so knowing that I/we can not have our house set up yet. I am SO VERY DISAPPOINTED and deeply regret the day we decided to stop at Ethan Allen instead of going back to Pottery Barn since I knew how serious they take customer's business.I wish I could go back in time or have the opportunity to return what we just received and cancel the remaining pieces of furniture order, I will DEFINITELY do that. I thought Ethan Allen was a serious and respectful furniture store with good quality pieces of furniture but now I know they are not. Sadly I can say, I was wrong.If you take CUSTOMERS seriously and a piece of advice from a very frustrated customer, you should train your people to be more honest, straightforward and respectful with your customers and their needs. This is not a joke, we are spending money on your business, nothing has been given for free. We had to cancel two or three events in our new home because we had and still have an empty house.

Zayda Morales: Customer service almost non existent. We ordered furniture months ago. We had a time of delivery. It didn’t happened. We were not really surprised since everything is taking a long time to be delivered. My disappointment is with the lack of communication on the status of the order. I called on a Saturday. Today is Thursday and I have not received a call. An email was sent Sunday and still no response. It doesn’t take much to make a call or respond to an email. Out order is 2 months over due.

C. Kane: The designer was awesome and the furniture well made and on trend. I purchased a full condo worth of furniture. It’s been just under 4 years and it’s all held up extremely well. My only complaint today is that the fabric protection I purchased is outsourced to a third party (Guardsman) and they are extremely difficult to deal with and their Better Business Bureau rating is a “stellar” 1.9. Remains to be seen if they will actually honor the claim but I have little confidence given the reviews and my experience to date, even though I’ve followed all of the rules. It was very expensive to purchase (through EA) and Ethan Allen should be better at selecting the vendors it affiliates with. The fabric protection induced me to select a lot of whites, I’m not sure I’d make the same choice today given my experience w Guardsman. My recommendation based on my experience is to think very carefully before buying anything affiliated w Guardsman.

Maureen Zafros: I had a fantastic experience working with Sidney! She's a very talented and creative designer who made refinishing my living room stress-free and fun. I love the furniture and rug I purchased and appreciate the calm, peaceful atmosphere she created. Sidney visited my home several times and developed a personalized plan for me to work from. Her exceptional artistic sense and her knowledge of design principles were evident as she patiently spent many hours working with me. Sidney suggested furniture styles and organized fabrics and rug samples so that the process of making final decisions was straightforward and within my budget. I've referred her to my friends who were very pleased with her guidance and expertise in assisting them. I highly recommend Sidney!

Loni Cohen: My husband and I went to Pottery Barn this morning with our toddler in tow. We had a fairly clear idea of what we wanted in a living room set and the budget we wanted to stick to. This was the 7th furniture store we visited and finally found just what we were looking for. PROS: This location has two floors with a good number of sofa sets available to test drive and numerous options for fabric. We loved having the ability to customize the furniture to make it exactly what we were looking for at a price we could feel good about (different fabrics have different price tags). We were assisted by Kassie, who was very personable, professional, and extremely helpful. She made the experience of customizing the living room set easy, enjoyable, and kept us in our budget! We will definitely work with her for all of our future purchases. CONS: Yes, this gorgeous furniture comes with a price tag (you get what you pay for, right?), BUT we were very lucky to purchase during a 25% off promotion, which made the price very affordable so look for the sales/ sign up for their emails. Also, I could certainly see what some customers have complained about regarding staff. Some of the staff seemed a little snooty and would walk right past us without a greeting or offering assistance. Again, Kassie was not like that at all, so just look for an associate who seems happy to help. Finally, Pottery Barn Kids is completely separate and unable to combine orders with PB so you will pay twice for shipping if you order from both. OVERALL, we will definitely shop here again and would recommend PB Bathesda to our friends.

Chris Leo: We've had a TERRIBLE experience shopping at Pottery Barn, both in store and online. We went to the store in Bethesda, were helped by someone named Caterina. Initially, she helped us with curtain rods and we purchased 2 curtains, 2 curtain rods and 2 sets of finials. One of each had to be sent to us from another store because they weren't in stock at Bethesda. Caterina assured us everything would match, despite coming from different places. When we received the curtain rods and finials from the other store, THEY DIDN'T MATCH. The curtain rods had OLD brackets that didn't match what we received from the store, which had NEW brackets. The finials also had a different finish. We had to go BACK to the store a second time to return those items. While we were there, Caterina gave us a hard time about returning the items and I had to say that I was extremely frustrated because she helped us and told us everything would match. So, she accepted the return and someone in the store placed an order for us online for a new curtain rod and finial. After almost a MONTH waiting for it to arrive, I finally received it and mounted both curtain rods only to find out that the one that was just shipped to us is DEFECTIVE! The set screws are jammed and do not loosen or tighten onto the curtain rod! I called customer service and they told me the curtain rods are now DISCONTINUED and the best they can do is allow me to return them. Now, I have to TAKE DOWN the curtain rods, PATCH THE HOLES and ship back one set with a return label, and then I have to GO TO THE STORE FOR A THIRD TIME to return the other curtain rod. THIS IS RIDICULOUS! I have spent almost two months just trying to get two curtain rods and have WASTED SO MUCH TIME AND MONEY.

Gloria Corbin: If I could give Pottery Barn no stars, I would. This company is a complete JOKE! My employer purchased an item as a thank you for one of our providers in January, It is now August and we have not received anything. When we have called, they inform us that the item is waiting to be delivered but when you talk to their delivery company, they don't have the item to deliver. When I called customer service and asked for a manager, they put me on hold. They'd return every 7-10 min saying "Waiting for a manager to pick up the call". It took an hr to get a manager. Absolute worst customer service EVER! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY

Vishal Sinha: This is our go to Pottery Barn store. The store is laid out well tho a bit too busy to move around freely. But space is a at premium in Bethesda :) The store is sometimes not adequately staffed - specially afternoons on weekdays. And getting help right away can be a challenge. But the staff is friendly and always willing to help. On our most recent visit, we needed help buying a bed headboard and frame we the folks here helped us out making a selection. We wanted to checkout the swatches for the beds and the salesperson was very patient and answered all our questions! We like the quality of their products and appreciate the customer service :)

The Carpenter's Hope Info: Moustapha, who works at Pottery Barn Bethesda, MD, is AWESOME. I live in North Little Rock, AR. I have been searching for a particular item that Pottery Barn sells. An online Pottery Barn representative told me the item I need is in the Bethesda PB. Yay!!! I called yesterday and Moustapha was very helpful. He took my request and promised to call me back with status. He did call and said he could not find the items but that he would check with someone else and call me back today. True to his word, Moustapha called and said he found them. He and I just hung up. He said to check my email for shipping confirmation and the items should arrive Monday!!!! Yay!!!! I'm so grateful! Thank you, Moustapha!

HAPPY CRAFTY CAT: I was trying to find this paper pad at various locations in my area. However, online it says the stores in my area have them i go there and nothing. It has been two weeks and yet nothing. I was told to give it some days and i did. OFCOURSE nothing. I do appreciate the staff who went out of their way to look for it at the Wisconsin ave location. It seems there is a system mix up online as i found other crafty people have been looking for it too. The IT TEAM SHOULD FIX THIS. VERY MISS LEADING ONLINE WHEN IT SAYS WHAT LOCAL STORES HAVE WHAT IT IS THAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AND THE QUANTITY AND THERE IS NOTHING WHEN YOU ARRIVE TO PURCHASE IT. A'Jahan Love: Huge store and inventory. Their website is accurate for what's in stock and has the option to ship to this location. They don't have canvas stretchers or canvas rolls in store, but they do online. You can find varying sizes at Blicks store which will be cheaper by a lot.

Gwendolyn Young: Went here on 4/18/2021and found Easter supplies were 70% off! Lots and lots of it just taking up space. I did buy some Easter flowers and some other craft supplies. The don't have a huge selection of various wired ribbons. The did have some peach polka dots ribbon for $3.00 (Clearance), but I chose to wait on that one. They did have several $5.00 mystery boxes for sale, but some had been opened up. Their Clearance section in the back has been cleaned up tremendously! But I must say that they have much more beautiful flowers than the small Joanne's Fabrics that is located in Greenbelt Shopping Center. They do have some type of discount program but I truly don't know how it works. So, if you are looking for beautiful flowers, Michaels is the place. They also have a large variety of greenery! The store was almost empty when I was there.

She started to have a attitude with my mom but then I came in and stop stop talking to her like that and then she said oh it’s none of your business I said she’s my mom it is my business we asked for the manager and then the lady got scared and was like OK here’s your money and I don’t recommend the store to anybody the service is trash in the cashiers in the manager or not nice at all on you guys should try Michael’s next-door to them great customer service great everything the stuff is the same but then it’s just better service

Koi Toi: Horrible customer service. I pulled my phone out to check the time, just to be accused of recording?!?! I was left standing waiting for another cut of fabric. They claim they can only make one cut per fabric ?!? It is clear that customer service and class is not available at this location. I will happily be driving the 40 min to the sterling location. This place plain and simple is a mess along with the staff.

S E: I was disappointed that the lady at the fabric cutting counter advised that the 0.333 yds left on the roll after measuring out 9 yds would be 50% off. I didn’t realize it until I got home that it wasn’t and was only given 25% off which was the sale price for it already. I also purchased 2 rolls of overlock thread and realized when I got home that I was charged two different prices for the same item. It was a noticeable difference. I wasn’t paying attention at the register and just thought the cashier would’ve noticed the price difference for the thread.

Asya Renee: This store is extremely unkept. There are stains all over the floor, and unraveled fabric placed in various miscellaneous places. Not to mention, the staff are poorly trained. This location defintely needs a remodel and some additional staff because there is usually only about 2-3 workers each time I go. There is a new manager, originally from CA— she is very pleasant and deserves a store worth working at.

Cecilia Feng: The staff at the fabric cutting section was rude and disrespectful especially for Asian customers. I went to this store look for card but I didn’t see any. So I went to the fabric section and asking for help. There was a white, short, long hair with a ponytail female staff with glasses was cutting the fabric for another white customer. She was really nice to that white customer and talking about her dog. When I asked her where I can find the card. She gave me a very dirty look with a very bad attitude said they don’t sell any card here and she seems very inpatient. So, she gave me this nasty gross face just because I’m an Asian while she was talking nicely to another white customer there? It’s definitely discrimination and will never go back again. I will also file a report to their company.

Trinity S.: I think this is the only Joann's I know that closes at 6pm. It's also so dark and dirty compared to other stores. Super limited selection. I wish they would just close/move this one into a bigger and better space locally. The sterling location is AMAZING.. we need one like that around here!

Kathryn Chavarria: Ordered online, easy pick up! I wouldn't say it's ready in 3 hours - maybe 5 or so. I ended up going home before I got the email that my items were ready, but I didnt need the items right away. Beautiful layout, very festive and cozy! Staff are very kind and helpful. Would recommend for any holiday office/friend gifting!

AuntSusie: One of my favs, great furniture choices, especially if you are looking for " transitional types" of pieces....for example, items that can flow from contemporary to more traditional if your home has both styles, they can help you pull it together...and you can find it here. Best to cruise the entire shop, then start making your selections...it can be daunting even for an expert because some soft furniture pieces have between 12-100+ fabric choices. Wear comfortable shoes, expect to stay awhile. We were there 3.5 hrs and made 3 furniture choices. All different but looked good together, but they did the checking on how long it would take to deliver...some items are not scheduled till next Feb/Mar; but what we ended up with was available to ship between 8-12 weeks. Even the quick ship items, due to Biden's supply chain problems..dont come in for 8-12 weeks.

Valerie Myers: I scheduled delivery of the Warren bed frame once I was contacted saying both boxes in this order were at the warehouse ready for delivery. I scheduled the delivery two weeks in advance. I reserved the loading dock in our apartment building for easy delivery. When the truck got here they told us they were missing the box with the headboard in it. They told my boyfriend that it wasn't at the warehouse (this was NOT true, as I found out later after hours of phone calls). They said they could deliver the headboard next week (which, if it truly wasn't in the warehouse I don't see how they could promise that). Then when I called customer service I was lied to yet again. The first representative I spoke to said I would get an email with delivery time later today. I waited 3 hours and called again because I hadn't received an email. The second person I talked to said that there was no record of delivery being scheduled for the headboard. He said he would transfer me to the schedulers at Fidelitone. I asked him to give me their phone number in case I got disconnected, because that had happened several times already, he said he didn't have a number for them. He transferred me and the phone promptly disconnected. I then called two different phone numbers for Fidelitone, never reaching an actual person, I left several messages and they did not call me back. I then called Pottery Barn again. The third representative I spoke to tried to call Fidelitone as well, they didn't talk to her either. I then tried emailing Fidelitone. They said they'd try and get it delivered today but since it was at the warehouse and not on the truck it probably wouldn't be today. I pointed out that they were just ignoring me to delay having to fix the problem that they caused. This is all more frustrating because I scheduled this two weeks in advance, that should have been ample time for them to get their s together. Additionally, we now are sleeping on a mattress/boxspring on the floor because we don't have a bedframe. We will have to move the mattress and boxspring yet again when the warehouse deigns to deliver our furniture. And finally, we have a large box in the middle of our living room that has the base of the bedframe in it, which will sit there until we get the piece of furniture that we were told would be delivered by May 24th at the latest. Oh, and no apologies or refund of delivery fees or anything to fix their mistakes.

Megan Lisowski: My wife and I recently purchased an entire dining room set from Pottery Barn located in Alexandria, VA. Upon receiving one of the Bradford chairs we ordered, one of them was defected and needed to be returned. We called The location we purchased the chair from and one of the associates assured us that we would receive a new chair and be able to return the defected chair in the packaging that it came in. A couple days went by and we didn’t receive a new chair, nor did we hear from the associate we spoke to at the store. We called the store back, only to find out that the lady we spoke to wasn’t working there anymore. We spoke to another associate at the store and she told us that she didn’t see anything in the system about our return and said she would start the process over again. She reassured us again that we would be getting a confirmation email and that we would be getting a chair delivered to us. We would be able to return the defected chair in the package it would come in and UPS would be picking it up. At this point 2 weeks have gone by and we still did not receive the email or a new chair in the mail. We called the store for the third time, and spoke to another associate, that associate said they would have to call someone else at the packaging facility and assured us that she would call us back. We never received a phone call back. At this point my wife and I were hopeless. We just spent 5K dollars on a dining room set and we were appalled at the service that we were given. We decided to call the generic customer service number because no one at the store was able to help us with our order. I spoke to a nice lady who pulled our order information up and made an excuse saying that the return was started but no one finalized the return. This led us to believe that the previous associates were lying to us. We were disgusted and proceeded to express our unfaithfulness with the customer service representative. She then put us on hold for about five minutes. When returning to the phone, she sounded just like the previous 3 pottery barn employees that we spoke to. She assured us our chair would be mailed out and an email would be sent to us confirming the delivery as well as a separate email from UPS to setup the return of the defected chair. I forced the associate to stay on the phone with me until I received a confirmation email since the previous experiences I had with past associates all claimed I would receive this email. After 15 minutes on hold we still didn’t receive the email and the customer service representative hung up on us. My wife and I have always dreamed of having a pottery barn dining room set in our newly built house. Although, after this experience we will never consider purchasing anything from pottery barn moving forward. Not 1 person was able to help us out from the store we purchased the set from all the way to 2 separate customer service representatives. So at this point I wanted to vent my frustration to anyone at a higher level with the company to express my terrible experience. I will share this experience with family and friends to prohibit them from going through the same experience I have and encourage them to purchase furniture from other places because it’s not worth the hassle to spend the type of money we did on something that came defected and we can’t return. The old adage you get what you pay for doesn’t correlate with pottery barn and I will never purchase furniture from your store again. I hope this summary does something to change the way your conducting business and breeds light into some loopholes within your company you can fix.

Alissa M: Please do NOT shop at Potterybarn. I have been trying to work with their customer service for over two months to receive a refund for a diffuser that I purchased that was delivered in an unusable format. I was initially upset at the product I received, but since have become exasperated and angry with customer service agents who ignore my messages, fail to follow up, provide different messages across agents, and a general lack of courtesy. I will not be shopping at Potterybarn ever again.

Andre Sadler: This will be my first and last time ever going to a pottery barn thanks to Michelle at this store. I went into this location to pick up an online order, just to find out they did not have what I ordered and what my card was charged for in stock. When I attempted to ask for help to make sure the charge would be reversed I was treated as if I was wasting Michelle’s time and did not belong in that store. So I will take “my kind” of money somewhere else where I am treated with kindness.

Carley Litchfield: This location is so hit or miss. Several of the regular employees are so rude (two in particular I know I'm going to be "bothering" when asking for help) A few are fantastic. Can't get consistency. Just called to inquire whether something was stocked in the store and was interrupted mid-sentence "I need to put you on hold"...and then I waited 5 minutes before hanging up. I'm a VERY regular customer and the lack customer service is super frustrating.

Teri Matzkin: Nice, classy store. Furniture is mostly for larger homes it seems fo me, but very nice. Great decorating things, like candles and table dressings. Bought one of the softest throws I've dyed owned heee. Best to come when they have their sales.

They have some gorgeous furniture and the most amazing fur blankets, but it's obviously a very pricey establishment. Dijana Hrvacic: Nine months ago, we bought two mattresses queen and twin and two spring boxes of the same producer Beautyrest (see below attached invoice). Queen mattress was an extra firm mattress as I have serious backbone issues. Very soon one side of the extra firm mattress turned extra soft and sagged down that much that I slide down at night. Since it costed $1700 and it has been several months, we reached out to file a warranty claim. While processing they insisted on photos of both mattress and its foundation (spring box Beautyrest bought in the same shop, check invoice). The warranty claim was rejected due to the " use of inadequate foundation/support system". It does not make any sense considering that both the mattress and the springbox foundation were made by the same producer Beautyrest (check the invoice) and the Beutyrest springbox foundation was recommended by your shop as appropriate for this Beautyrest extra firm mattress. So, there is no place in warranty or warning by your shop that using the frame would eliminate warranty – again both of your items we bought together. The warranty card has forgotten to mention the springbox made by the same producer as the mattress and for its size, and talks about slots (non existent) in this case. If the foundation is really inadequate for this mattress as you suggest then that is the mistake of the producer who made both of them to be used together, and the mattress firm that sells them as adequate for each other and recommends them. It seems that the producer and the shop are finding their own product inadequate. After complaining again, no one has come to inspect the mattress and they just checked different reason on the list of reasons for rejection. I would not recommend to any one to buy anything in this shop as their warranty is fake and products overpriced. the same extra firm mattress-queen size now costs $650 due to bad reviews about sagging.

mike tyson: Mohamed was very helpful in my search for a new mattress for my growing teen boy that would not break the bank. He showed us options at varying price ranges and offered a price on a mid-range mattress that came out to just over half of what a Mattress Warehouse competitor wanted for a mattress that seemed comparable. I have to delete one star because the delivery people broke a planter on their way out and did not seem to care enough to apologize, but that is not a reflection on this location.

Miguel Curiel: I had previously put a 5-star service, however I have to take it back for several reasons. Staff is really nice; however, my bed took two weeks to arrive (which is still pretty bearable) but the sheets I purchased didn’t come with. Those are the only sheets I have, I’ve been sleeping on nothing for a month and what has been a burden is that no one seems to know where they are and no prompt solution was given from the company. In summary, nice service but can be inefficient.

Sassy Sauce: Great discounts on Christmas items as part of the holiday sale. I picked up Christmas stockings for under $5.00. There were fire pits on clearance as well. I like this location and they generally have the items I’m in need of for repairs or decorations, etc. The staff is very helpful as well.

Stuart Miles-McLean: I don't like all the self check out lines which are killing jobs. They did have things I was looking for in the wild bird and critter section, but it appears they need more employees -- all over the store -- to keep the inventory organized and properly shelved and labeled. The employees I did encounter were very helpful and friendly; it just looked like they need more of them.

Kev- keepingitreal: This location offers a variety of affordable items for your home improvement needs. I really appreciate the staff in the aisle for assisting me with finding items on my check list. At check out the cashier was welcoming and friendly. This store was very clean and offers plenty of parking.

Jessica Fullington: Today I went to the garden center for some outside plants. Yolanda was so very helpful! She was able to answer my questions, she even went and got me a cart so that it was easier for me to get the items I purchased to my car. goklt: Lots of materials here. Check out was fast. However good luck asking for assistance. Lots of associates are walking around but not helping customers. I tracked an employee down for assistance in moving materials from a high shelf to store level in the door section. He called two times for assistance to my aisle but no one came and he advised going to customer service. They called and still no help. Had to track somone down in a different department altogether. Crazy.

Chase Johnson: The employees here are courteous. But the wood cutting service they claim to offer is not available when needed. The store should just be candid that wood cutting won’t be available (or at the very least won’t be available at any specific time). I am a local DIYer (not a contractor). Before I bought wood I asked about cutting and was told it was no problem—buy it and then request a cut. I did. I was then told the lumber associate wasn’t available for an hour. I couldn’t get the wood (a single sheet of plywood I needed to cut in half) into my car, so I waited. After an hour, there was still no lumber associate, so the wood was never cut.

N R: Terrible customer service. Returning an item took 3 months of repeated calls to schedule a pickup and even when Lowe's had the item back multiple calls were needed to secure the refund. Such a hassle, so worth avoiding! The third party delivery service that they use doesn't turn up in the agreed time slots so it's very easy to miss them and then get stuck in the web of calls that are required to reschedule.

Annie Signorelli: I ordered a dishwasher with professional installation and the process from start to finish was completely nontransparent and unprofessional. The installation had to be rescheduled because the dishwasher wasn’t pulled down for pick up in time, and then when it was installed it was the incorrect dishwasher — not even the right brand. After several hours on the phone with the Lowes installation line, including being told multiple times that they couldn’t advance the process because they couldn’t get in touch with anyone at their own Lowes store, I called the store directly and was able to sort it out and get the installation rescheduled. A Lowes associate later told me that they don’t have the “luxury” of waiting on hold with the store which is what I had to do in order to ensure my order was completed. Finally the correct dishwasher was installed on the third attempt and I was told I could contact the installation line again to discuss compensation for the inconvenience. Again it took multiple attempts to even get an update on where my case stood, despite being told every time that I should expect a call back “by end of business” every day I called. When I finally got offered compensation it was for less than half of the amount I requested (I requested the installation service be refunded seeing as it took 3 attempts and I was the one having to set everything up because Lowes did not follow through). While I am satisfied with the product I am in disbelief at how difficult and unprofessional the process was with Lowes. I do not recommend purchasing appliances from installation from this store or using the Lowes installation services.

Conchita Coney: Excellent but one of the employees didn't know what he was talking about whereas getting parts for a 2019 torro self-repellent lawn mower. He told my husband and I to go to store name Grainger on MD 202 they are either closed or permanently shut down.

Elizabeth Ramming: Assistance was top notch!! The gentlemen working there were very polite and helped me a lot with specific questions. HOWEVER-- However, I needed lumber, a 1X6 piece. What they had in stock was WET. But oh! I found 2 dry pieces at the bottom. But alas, don't be happy for me. Those pieces were warped in both directions - both along the length and width. That's it. So, shut up and buy it, or fight DC traffic to go someplace else. Both of those options were the absolute WORST. Why was the wood wet amd warped?? ... Duhhh. How utterly stupid.

Walter Gabriel Rivera Guzman: We ordered a dinning table at the end of January 2022. They told us that delivery would happen in about 2 weeks. Since then, delivery was pushed out twice apparently due to the pandemic. We're close to the end of March and we still have not received the dinning table or an update whatsoever. We also tried to cancel the order twice. They said that they will 'put in a request and get back to us in approximately 10 days' but nothing happened. Oh and they charged the credit card. We're talking about a $2000 dinning table. I checked the website today and the listing for the table says it is 'in stock and ready to ship.' I will put in a complaint with my credit card and every consumer protection agency I can find out there. This store is a scam. Unbelievable how they trick people with their nicely furnished store and website. Order number: 320303635033.

Seda Yildirim Babakiray: Long story short: West Elm is not capable of cancelling an order. I ordered a chair on Jan 3rd with estimated delivery date in Feb. They postponed the delivery date 5 times. I have been asking them to cancel my order for the last 3 months but they are lying to my face that it will be shipped in the next 2 weeks. And they can not cancel the order because it is fulfilled and it is in the container (for the last 4 months!!!). I had the worst customer experience. The next estimated delivery date is June 29th and when I told them I am not home and refuse this shipment customer representative offered “I should kindly ask my neighbour to return the product”. They are a joke. I’ll not shop here again (never ever!). I have never been treated such poorly as a customer. Now it is my mission to spread the word! Miles Weldon: If you want your order in a reasonable timeframe DON'T ORDER FROM WEST ELM. Been furnishing an entire home and out of all companies West Elm is BY FAR the worst. Shipping estimates are completely inaccurate and don't get updated. Have had to call numerous times a couple days prior to the delivery date to finally be told there would be a delay on products I've ordered. If you're ordering a large piece like a table or couch just assume you will wait 6+ months regardless of what their website says.

gopi gunturu: I have ordered Dining chairs and Dining Table on Jun19. the chairs came quickly and they were good. The dinning table was back ordered to be delivered by Aug 03. and i am still waiting for the dinning table. The design and products are good but the customer service is not good. I had to make many calls to find out when the table will be delivered and don't get any answers. Here are the various issue I had when dealing with West Elm 1. the customer rep will say that they will transfer to the delivery depart and the call ends. They transfer to a number that is not working. Happened multiple times. 2. I wanted them to replace 2 chairs (1 box) but they sent 2 boxes (4 chairs) I had to take the heavy boxes to return to UPS. 3. The customer service Rep will tell I should get a call back in 24hrs, but that never happens. 4, My order was delivered to wrong delivery center and it is taking ages to be moved to the right delivery center. Because of the customer service, I would not recommend.

Saraswathi Gautham: Worst furniture shopping experience I’ve had and I just furnished an entire house. I went into to purchase a side table and lamps. They were being gifted by my father and when making a payment we were told he couldn’t complete the transaction with an international credit card. The sales person recommended we make the purchase by buying a gift card and using that to place the order. After charging us for the gift card and placing the order she tells us we were also charged a $150 for shipping. As I didn’t want to pay $150 shipping for just an end table I asked to change the order items and I was told I could cancel my order but not change the order. I would also only get a refund in the form of a gift card and even though the items I was changing my order to were coming out to $200 lesser than what I was being charged for I wouldn’t get a refund for the difference but just a store credit for the amount of my original purchase which the sales agent charged without fully going over the breakdown. Till now I have had to talk to 3 people to even get to the point of them telling me that I would only get a gift card with each person saying it was a mistake the store made but not offering up any real solutions. Add to all this that they have mentioned all this only via email and have not provided any receipt for the order cancellation or the new gift card issue. I’m accepting the gift card issue ( still pending actually receiving it) only as a last resort to make sure I don’t lose all my money. This transaction has felt like nothing more than an entrapment to get my money without anything to show for it. Absolutely horrendous experience. Completely unhelpful and careless sales and management at the store and customer service that’s been frustrating to deal with

Rachel Wood: Worst service I've ever experienced. I was supposed to have all of my furniture by November 26th. They ghosted me on a scheduled delivery. I had to reach out and re-schedule myself, they never acknowledged their mistake. Then I was supposed to get it yesterday, but they call to say that one of the pieces won't be there because they "forgot it." Then I get an email today that the final piece is delayed and won't be here till mid December-January. Terrible service, very unprofessional, extremely disappointing. don't waste your money for them to just waste your time.

Isidor Dimitrijevic: This business is fraud. After waiting four months for my set of nightstands to arrive, they managed to sent only one of the two and guess what!? It was broken. After couple of tries with their phone support or store manager Kevin to fix shipping issue, i decided to cancel order and return broken night stand without waiting for the 2nd nightstand to arrive at my house. Guess what?! I’m still waiting for my refund, it’s been whole month already. If you all respect your money think twice before making purchase at this fraudulent, slow and extremely unprofessional business.

Amanda Parker (ArtistAParker): Beautiful items here.. seems like great quality. I'm going to get 2 bar stools here one day, custom made. I'm a big person so I have been looking for stools that carry up to 300lbs in weight, and they have the big and tall stool I need. I didn't know pottery barn had custom furniture until I went to the mall. It's a great place to see what you want in person.. go here to the showroom before buying online.. so easy and wonderful to be shopping in a modern world.

RH: I bought a coffee table at Pottery Barn. When it was delivered the glass was broken, but the rest of the coffee table was not. I called customer service and waited for 1 hour for someone to pick up the phone only to be told that they would replace the glass in 10-15 days. Next day I get an email telling me it would be another 2 months! I called customer service (waited for 45 minutes to talk to someone) again and ask why the discrepancy. They tell me I have to get to the back of the line and they have to reorder the table again and I would wait another 3 months for delivery. I ask if there is a discount for the inconvenience only to for the agent to hang up on my. I call back again (another 45 min. wait!) and ask to speak directly to a manager. The agent refused and hung up on me again! So I drive myself to a store only to be told that now the delivery date has been moved to 6 months, rather than 3 months. I tell them I just want to cancel the order, but they said they had to wait until next week when the corporate representative was in the store. I wait another week and call the store to speak with the corporate rep. At this point, I spent hours trying to resolve the issue I tell the corporate rep that I don't want the table and want a full refund and for someone to pick the table up from my house. Finally it is resolved. In the meantime, I find the exact table on Burke Decor for $650 less, no shipping fees!!!!!! I used to go to Pottery Barn and pay more for good customer service - no longer. Save yourselves time and money and find the exact same furniture elsewhere! That was the worst shopping experience of my life!!!

Tina Zuccolo: Purchased an Indio Outdoor table at the beginning of the shutdown. Within a month the table paint started peeling. I notified PB immediately and they mailed me a paint kit that took three months to arrive and literally covered 10 percent of the damaged area. PB refused to do anything further. The employees at the Fair Oaks PB store did comment how the Indio table is junk and everyone has complained about the peeling paint. They said that they did not have a record of me purchasing the table at their particular store so they could do anything to help. It was during the shutdown, so I had to make an appointment to come in and pick up the table. The same employee that helped me on the loading dock still works there. He remembers me, but they won’t stand by their product and come up with a solution. Between all of the outdoor furniture, I spent over $5,000. Never again PB.

Joe Darden: The reason I am giving it 2 stars is because we still like Pottery Barn. We purchased some plates (curbside pick up, highly recommended) when we got them home we discovered that the plates were warped. We didn’t even use them, just noticed how badly they were warped when we started to unwrap them. After a couple of rounds of quarantine-ing, we returned to Pottery Barn to return/exchange the plates. Low and behold they have a 30-day return policy. Seriously, even in COVID? The manager refused to return, exchange or even give us a store credit. It’s a defective product!!! The part that really digs deeper was that the manager was just dismissive and didn’t even attempt to help. I take it back, changing to 1 star. I mean, we registered for our wedding here, and have spent thousands dollars at Pottery barn throughout the years. Crate and Barrel here we come.

susan lane: Let me state, that this review isn't for the FairOaks Store..... The worse customer service experience I've ever had......lost my couch, no one is taking responsibility and nothing is being done! They all talk the talk, but in the end....I have to waste my time and energy and try and get the District Manager's name and #.....and having spent 35 minutes on the phone with customer service....still don't have it! I'll never do business with them again...and believe me I've spent an exorbitant amount of money! I still can't get the phone number....Beware!!

Very pleased with pillow choices and very happy that Susan told us inserts were down and helped us order synthetics. The lamps were a bit over priced for what they had but I would definitely come back to this store just because of Susan and her customer service.

Derek: Some of the worst customer service at PB as a retailer. My wife ordered a new crib as we are expecting our first baby. When it arrived (today), it was the incorrect item. We didn't notice this until I had unboxed and carried the pieces up to the nursery. After waiting on the phone for an hour with customer service my (pregnant) wife was told to 1) repackage the wrong crib, 2) transport it to the local UPS store. Lastly, we would not get the crib we ordered until they receive the incorrect crib they sent us. So the emotional aspect of waiting for this crib for 1-2 weeks is now turning into over a month+. Additionally, we have been staying home mostly to avoid people during this COVID situation especially given the pregnancy -- but now I need to re-package their wrong item, somehow lift it into a car myself, and take it to a UPS store. I am a husband, and really don't care about PB overall -- its whatever my wife likes. But the way they treated us in this circumstance is unacceptable. Bottomline: I would very much advise other folks to consider making your wedding or baby registries else where. It is hectic and emotional enough with these big life events... you don't need PB dragging you down with horrible customer service! Good luck

e j: Poor customer service. Came into the store for a specific duvet and matching shams. After wandering around the store aimlessly and approaching two store representatives who were apparently busy doing other things, an employee who was present but off shift tried to help me. She asked another employee (who was also apparently off shift) to look for the items but he never spoke a word to me and appeared to just give up. Ultimately, I approached one of the original “busy” employees and, after much discussion, got her to place a call to another store to locate the items they didn’t have at the Fair Oaks location. Not sure why the process took so long considering that the store was practically empty. I expect better customer service, particularly given PB’s price point.

Nic Andres: Lackluster experience with the day staff. Spent an hour in a section of fabric that is discontinued and although both Jen (the unkempt manager) and the cutting table lady saw me there never bothered to say, sorry ma'am these are discontinued.' It was not until I picked out lining, thread and matching zipper and picked a number that they alerted me. I and a couple of others asked questions during my visit and immediately said, "I don't know" without a suggestion or alternative answer. The only shining light is Zainab the welcomer and cashier. She is trying her best is a the very negative energy around her. She should be the manager or train others in customer service. Night crew is nicer for sure.

Nisa Eliana Gutierrez: I’m not a frequent shopper at Joanns but this location is poorly organized. The other locations I’ve been too have a better system when it comes to getting fabric and for someone that may be a first time customer may not even see the “grab ticket” sign yet their employees could simply say “hey please don’t forget to grab a ticket” Very disappointed with this place and the customer service.

MG: A large store which is well stocked. I always find good stuff here and I like the larger shopping center which contains a T.J. Maxx, Bed, Bath & Beyond, and movie theatre, and other cool stuff. Plenty of space to park and well-lit.

Jan McEwen: I ordered online for in-store pick up. There is no line in the store for online orders and you have to wait in the regular line any way. Stupid.

Jessica Fisher: Well organized and lots of products to choose from. Cutting counter staff can be understaffed or overwhelmed with orders at times, so you may have to wait a bit (make sure you get a number!). Even still, i prefer to go here vs the smaller Joann stores in the area.

I Am Sharon: I LOVE this JoAnn. It is, by far, my favorite. I don't know if it qualifies as a SuperStore, because its HUGE. There's so much fabric. So many notions. There's just everything here. What I love about this place? The people! People come up to you and ask, "Can I help you with something?" They don't do that anymore in retail! It is so refreshing. The cashiers want you to save as much money as possible with your coupons - either the ones printed with your receipt or the ones mailed to you. More than any of this - ample inventory, stellar customer service - they have organized pattern bins! Clean. Organized. Neat. Every pattern is in its proper place. It really doesn't get any better than this place. You wont be disappointed.

Pamela Darr: We couldn't have had a more positive experience than working with Julie Goss of Ethan Allen. We met Julie in the showroom and she took her time in showing us furniture possibles we may be interested in. She explained Ethan Allen has a free design service which could assist us in planning our family room. We set up an appointment with Julie to come to our home and take exact measurements of the room. This allowed Julie get to know us better and what we like. We set up another appointment to meet Julie at the store for her design suggestions/plan. We were so thrilled with the experience. Julie had a floor plan of our room to scale on the large monitor. Julie had a display table prepared with lamps, fabric choices, wood tone furniture suggestions, paint colors, rug suggestions...etc. Julie was extremely pleasant to work with. Sarah Lydick: Ayla did an amazing job helping us design an entire home. She pulled together looks that flowed and complimented one another. She had all the designs and fabrics ready to go. She took all of our input into consideration, but was also able to clearly show me using 3D mapping why some other designs would be better for our home. She worked within our budget and took a lot of extra care and time. Ayla even helped pick our paint colors! We will absolutely be using her again.

Pinky Verma: I can't say enough good things about Nazee! She's immensely talented and has a great eye, but she's also very supportive and helpful in figuring out next steps when you're trying to decide between lots of options. Hannah Letterman: I rarely write an online review, but my recent experience with Ethan Allen has been very disappointing and I want to give you a warning before making a purchase here. The only thing that I want to give 5-star rating is to the delivery guys. They were very professional and did their job in the most effective and efficient way. However, for all the other touch-points, I would give 0 stars if possible. Our story is long.... 1. Waiting time and Procrastination: We purchased a king size bed and mattress from EA on Aug 30. Because our house has a narrow walk way, the designer told us we should get the delivery team to measure our house to see if they would be able to take them up in our bedroom. In a document that we got from her on Aug 30, it shows the estimated ship date would be Nov 22. She confirmed with us that this would get updated to a date in early Oct once the delivery team confirmed it would fit. We made a decision to buy based on that information. Because we did NOT have a bed to sleep on, we couldn’t wait until Nov. During Sep-Nov, we called them 3-4 times. Every time we called, they kept pushing the estimated date of delivery back 2-3 weeks from the date they previously promised. Our ship date was changed from early Oct to the end of Oct, from the end of Oct to early Nov, etc. At one point, they said that the mattress was at the warehouse ready to ship, we had to just wait for a bed. While later, they said the bed was there, we just had to wait for a mattress. The worst scheduling issue when our designer said it would be delivered around Nov 23-24, which was the week of Thanksgiving. Since we wanted to get our bed desperately, we canceled our Thanksgiving trip out of the state, only to find out later that they didn’t have anything to ship to us. We got our bed/mattress on Dec 9. In total, we had to wait for our bed and mattress for 14.5 weeks! 2. Customer Service: The designer was not very helpful. Every time we called, we felt like we were begging her to help us, or we did something wrong because it seemed like she was frustrated with US! Is this really the way your brand choose to treat customers, or was our order so small that it wasn’t valuable to you? 3. Product Quality: Our bed arrived with white lines (wood glue?) visible in many areas. See pictures. We gently wiped it, but nothing came off. We would not complain if this was a $500 bed. But this is Ethan Allen with a price tag of $2400. These white lines are visible even if you stand 6 feet away from the bed!! This issue also made us realized that we weren’t provided any information/ document about the product warranty. 4. Mixed-up order/ delivery: During the Thanksgiving week, we got 2 table lamps that we didn’t order. They were left on the front porch without any notice. When we discovered them we called the store immediately and were told that we should store these 4 big boxes in our house until their staff comes to deliver us our bed and mattress. At that time, we didn’t know how long that would be. Also, what about the customer who ordered those lamps? In conclusion, we bought our first house together and were hoping to furnish it with high-quality products. You were our first choice. However, based on this experience, it will be our last time buying anything from Ethan Allen.

Nizar Farsakh: Higher-end furniture store with a large selection of stylish and sometimes practical furniture. They also have kitchen utensils and appliances, though I would go for the furniture more than the appliances. A bit on the pricey side but arguably hit and miss on the quality. Staff is pretty knowledgeable and helpful. They do get pretty busy at times and parking can be a challenge. I would plan to run a few errands like going to the Whole Foods next by to park.

Warren Poland: Elderly, we walked into the showroom with much experience in furniture shopping and decorating across the decades behind us, unexpectedly needing to replace a destroyed home. Met at the door by an Ethan Allen decorator, Stephanie Vordick, we found her to be uncommonly knowledgeable and extremely helpful. If she is representative of the Ethan Allen decorators, it is a rare level of assistance they can provide. The delivery of our furniture was, inevitably, delayed by the Covid hold-up, yet it not only arrived sooner than we had anticipated, but the decorator kept us informed all the while. The furniture itself was of high quality, and with the decorator's assistance in selecting fabrics, we were even more pleased than we had anticipated. There were NO problems with either the white glove delivery of our satisfaction. In truth, we were surprised to have such satisfaction from a large commercial outfit. Five stars.

Shakil A Kidwai: I have an excellent experience in dealing with Dennis Pollard of Rockville, MD store. I ordered a sleeper sofa scheduled to be delivered in November, but due to an emergency we needed it immediately, he went out of way to accommodate our needs and provided us a loaner sleeper sofa within few days. We are very impressed by the customer service, we are also very impressed by the designer Jeff Clarke, he is an outstanding designer and is good listener to understand the customer requirements and views in planning the layout.

Jennifer Faerberg: My experience with Chris Nguyen. Chris is a true gem! He is an incredibly talented designer and a wonderful person. He is laid back, listens to you, doesn't push and makes the design experience as stress free as it can be. Chris helped me not only pick out a new couch, ottoman and pillows that met all of my family's requirements but he helped me create the whole room. He listened to what I liked, what I was looking for, what my family wanted and picked out fabrics that were perfect. They weren't ones I would have picked myself but in the end they were exactly what I wanted. He made the picking easy providing me just three choices and then we could make revisions from there. I wasn't overwhelmed and I'm thrilled with the combinations. And once we picked fabric he also helped me pick my paint color another task I dread. He gave me two choices and I loved one of them...done! When it came time to pick carpet I brought the samples to him, I didn't want to make a decision without his input because I totally trust his opinion. I highly recommend Chris and will definitely use him again in the future.

Adith Subramanian: Bought a new house and wanted to get some quality furniture. The actual looks/quality/design was as good as you would expect. But the reason we ended up going with EA over the other furniture stores we went to was the customer service. We worked with Ellen Price and would highly recommend her to anyone, being the big reason we bought from here. She took our floor plan, existing furniture, and talked through our lifestyle choice to design a beautiful, functional, and affordable layout. We picked up a couple pieces and will be back to continue working with Ellen and filling out our home over time.

Ardavan Tookaloo: Ethan Allen in general, their furniture is beautiful with Good quality. With pandemic their delivery time is way behind compare to other brands like RH or Arhaus. Also if you are trying to get to IDA program it is so complicated and needs a lot of back and forth compare to rest of furniture stores such as Arhaus, Crate&barrel, CB2 and more. Also remember to ask for their free design consultation before purchasing to make sure it fits your room. So far I only have received one out of 5-6 items that I’m happy with but everything else has been pushed back a few times and I still haven’t been approved in their IDA program as a designer with 7 years of experience working in industry. I hope they catch up with their orders and change their IDA process.

Juan Carlos Navarro: We had an outstanding experience updating our living room furniture at Ethan Allen, using a mix of online review of the options and a visit to the showroom at the Rockville Pike, MD. A big part of how excellent our experience was has to be credited to the support and advice of Christopher Nguyen, a designer in residence at that store. He answer all our questions explicitly, suggested valuable design tips, personally showed us the different models and fabrics we were interested in and produced a very useful simulation of how our living room would look like. He introduced some additions and variations on our original selections that led us to revisit some decision for the better. All this in no time and with more kindness than we have experienced in a long time in any store. We are grateful and highly recommend Chris as a designer.

Dilshad Dhillon: We have been working with Rose since June 2019. We purchased a new home and wanted to make sure our home represented my husband’s and my style while still appropriate for a family of 4 with two young boys. We really wanted style with good quality fabrics that can hold up for a family. We have purchased furniture and accessories in the past with Ethan Allen but our experience with Rose this time around was extremely different. On the first visit Rose took the time to understand what we were looking for. On the second visit, she showed us our 3D room layout and fabrics. And I must say my husband and I loved the layout and the fabrics immediately. We did not waste time discussing different layouts. We knew that we didn’t need to look at more fabrics. We went with Rose’s design and are so happy with our decision. Unlike other designers, Rose gives you honest feedback and will take the time to explain why she designed the room in a particular way and why she chose those exact fabrics for you. Rose has designed our family room and we are now working on our dining room with her. Our living room will be next and with Rose of course! We cannot imagine working with anyone else besides Rose.

Alexis Martino Mallalieu: Pretty good selection here overall. I know if you purchase through the store you "help the store" but honestly there is only one associate I would even ask for and I wish I could remember her name. Otherwise, I have been there with 4 associates just standing around the register and nobody wants to help any customers at all...not just me. They act like you are a bother. While I was looking at a table and moving chairs around to see the fit, one associate asked "are you done? I want to clean up." WHAT?!?!

Tony W: This is a upscale home funiture store. Their products are high quality, good style and expensive. They have designers onsite to help your choose furnitures that fit your space. They can also come to your home to check the rooms and recommend furnitures if you want your home to be beautiful but have no idea on how to achieve it. I visited the store recently and discovered they have a kids only section with many good looking and environment safe furnitures. If you have extra money to spend on high quality furniture, you should go there and take a look.

bansi honey: Great well organised store with friendly staff. Huge collection of stuff, don’t miss the kids section and custom curtains. Store is lot bigger than it looks from outside. Overall a good experience.

Chad Lytle: They discontinued their military discount of 15%. Why not lower it to 10% like Crate & Barrel and others... Military families coming back from overseas often have to furnish an entire home, no discount knocks PB off the list.

Keyarii Taylor: This pottery barn location is terrible. The visual aspects are amazing but the staff is a nightmare expect for a few employees. The managers here have attitude problems and clearly have an authority complex. They are not helpful at all and seem extremely bothered when you ask them for help with store items. This is unacceptable seeing as though their job IS TO HELP YOU. If I could rate them zero stars I would. If this is what the William and Sonoma company considers costumer service then the CEO should be ashamed of themselves.

Walt Nicholson: Quick service in frontly staff. I called from another store to hold a product and when I got there I was able to get in and out of the store within two minutes. Nicely done.

Leslie Barrack: Had horrible issues ordering online on the app. Part of the order was for in store pickup. My daughter went to pick up the in store pickup and it wasn’t there. I went in a few days later to see if the store could help me sort what happened out on their system since the app would not show the history or what happened to the order. I stood in line and when I was next and employee came up to see if he could assist while I was waiting. I explained I wanted someone who could look on the computer and since the person in front of me was just finishing up I asked him to let me just get helped by the desk as someone else was trying to slide in front of me. As soon as I got to desk the woman behind wouldn’t let me speak and just us me step to the side with someone else. So no one would look online and I still don’t know what happened. Just going to make sure my bank disputes any balances and never shopping here again.

Rhonda Medina: This is a "pharmacy" Bed, Bath & Beyond because it has over the counter medicines, hygiene products, hair care and more, but no actual pharmacy. They carry some products you can't buy other places, so I find myself visiting every couple of months. The store is clean and staff is helpful and plentiful. The only drawback is their prices are a little high compared to other stores.
