Mark Weinress: Really like this store, and all the Room & Board locations. Large and nicely laid out for easy shopping. Well priced, well made stylish furniture with a good, but not overwhelming selection. Very helpful staff. Lots of options on upholstery and other details. I've bought quite a number of pieces at the Room & Board in Chelsea, NYC.

Brandon Gaimari: Customer service is actually good but products are over priced junk. Bought a bedroom set and the design of the bed causes it to squeak every time you roll over. Customer service had Dr. Furniture come out twice - one time screws were missing in the bed, the next time installed slat pads (why were these not installed originally?). For the price you pay, the quality is not what it should be. Beware.

Anna Harrington: First, we had a guy helping us who like was non responsive at the Logan circle room and board. Then I ordered online for July 7 and the furniture store confirmed via email and when I called they told me July 7 was unavailable. Not good service for the price and wouldn’t buy here again.

Summer Logan: I was working with Lisa (who apparently is the store manager). Her behavior does not seem like she should be. My problem was passed off to Peter and I felt underappreciated as a client. Would not recommended the people that work here. Service is below expectations for the money you spend and management should do a better job. Seems like they do not care or engage with clients. Highly disappointed and unsatisfied.

Kathryn Adamcik: I ordered a couch from here in August and it was to be delivered at the start of December. It was delayed until the end of December and I waited for it to arrive. 1 day before it was supposed to arrive in the warehouse I got an email saying it would be delayed for 2 more months. I waited for 2 months and days before it was supposed to arrive in the warehouse after the 2 month delay I got an email saying it was delayed again. I have called customer service and they have been of no help. They have no idea when the couch will arrive or what the progress is on it. They will not give a discount for this long delay. I am stuck in a pattern where I expect the couch to arrive any day, and then it gets pushed back. This is not okay. I paid over 3k for my couch and am just getting brushed off by customer service, the managers that I have spoken with, and the associates who we spoke to in the store we shopped at. I was planning on purchasing a side table, coffee table, and lamp after the couch arrived, but I will no longer be using room and board in the future. I ask you all to be wary of purchasing from here. I paid for the couch in full and now it looks as if it will never arrive. I expect more from this company, and am highly dissapointed.

Catie Kemp: Love love love. They were a bit too pricey for me to consider when I was living in my apartment, but since buying my place last November I have become a very loyal customer. I started working with Daren to get an idea of what I wanted in my living room- just having the sounding board was so helpful. I have since outfitted my entire living room with them- probably went to the store at least ten times before making my order and never felt harassed or pushed into buying immediately. My mom bought her first house in over a decade this summer and I’ve encouraged her to buy with them too (which she has and has had an equally good experience). The biggest thing for me when I’m spending money on furniture is knowing that a) it will last and b) having confidence in my purchase. I most recently ordered a set of four dining chairs which arrived on Friday and the color just isn’t quite right in my space. I went into the store yesterday and discussed the issue with an associate (didn’t catch her name)- they are very up front about wanting to make things right if you’re not happy. She gave me a sample swatch to take home and test in my space and this morning I called customer care who was happy to facilitate an exchange for me. They are back ordered until February so they even offered me the option of keeping the current chairs (so long, of course, as they are kept in excellent condition). Even speaking to their central customer service center is a personalized experience- I don’t have the same concern with other businesses that my order or request is going to get lost in the shuffle. You can get just about anything in any color/fabric/wood stain/finish that they have and the quality is outstanding- I really wish they were in the kitchen cabinet business because their wood quality, in my opinion, is unmatched by any other business I’ve explored at their scale. Everything is made in the US (Minnesota I believe). Of course with the pandemic things (especially custom items) can take a couple or a few months to come in, but this is far from specific to R&B and well worth the wait. I’ve had three or four delivery experiences with them and each time the employees were punctual, communicative, and, most importantly, careful with my home and furniture! In summary I can’t recommend them enough. They have found a customer for life in me and I am happy to scream my unsolicited appreciation from the rooftops any time! Edited to add- forgot to mention they are dog friendly (with treats!). If this isn’t the sign of a good business I don’t know what is.

Renee Davis: Don’t get me wrong, I love this furniture store. The customer service is great. Delivery service (workers) is great. It’s the actual product, the furniture quality that deserves 1 star (none if I could) our last purchase was the Reese sectional sofa. The buttons pick you when you sit on it and the cushions are cheap. No Cush whatsoever! It’s like sitting on the floor. The entertainment center has no wire outlets in the back for cord management and it scratches easily. And even though the only rerun policy listed is for mattresses I was told (Ginny) that if it was a couple weeks past they would be able to take it back? Do not be fooled by the pretty picture. It’s not worth the price!

Lisa Williams: Went there to purchase a couch and chair. Was within 5 feet of 4 staff members yesterday and the only person in the store. No one greeted or spoke to me. Would never consider purchasing anything from the store.

Jenny Fader: Though we didn't end up buying anything from here, I must say they had a great selection at reasonable prices. Unique style of furniture compared to other stores. The staff was also helpful and friendly without being too pushy at all. Comfortable atmosphere for actually trying out furniture.

Stacy Lemery: Having a West Elm accessible to bus and metro lines is great for residents of the DC area. There is always lots more online, but being able to see the quality of bedding, furniture, etc in person makes a big difference. I have purchased a bed, bedding, hallway shelving, a shoe rack, curtains, candle holders, and other decor from West Elm.

Ms.: I love the items in the store. Very stylish and very unique. 2 full floors of sofas, pillows, dishes, pot holders, baskets, wall decor and more. Easy to stay in store and "look"..sure to find an item for your home or gift for another. Can't really talk about customer service except to say no one acknowledged or ask me did I need help to find an item. I was on my own..succeed

Eric Overton: Staff at this store were basically useless and didn’t seem to know much about the products for sale. Fortunately, I was only there to test a floor model before buying online. Shipping was fast with only two weeks between purchase and delivery. Delivery dudes were both prompt and chill.

Geneva: I was wary of buying from this store based on some of the reviews here; however, after a year of searching for the right sectional, I found the perfect one for me at West Elm. I received good service from the store. The sales person was very clear that my sectional - which I bought in November for a nice discount - would not arrive until early January. As promised, I got calls and emails from the delivery department the second week of January and was able to schedule a date that worked for me. The two delivery guys were amazing - they had to maneuver their big truck down a narrow alley to get to the loading dock. They were professional and efficient and out of my apartment in less than 15 minutes. The sectional is exactly what I wanted and so comfortable.

MIchael Wright: Prices are unnecessarily high, since the doors are left open during warm weather, thus requiring more energy for A/C,, which also incrementally contributes to climate-changing emissions. So, not the shop for customers who either don't like higher prices or want to help the environment.

Angela Garcia: STAY AWAY FROM WEST ELM. It's customer service is the worst, they won't ever deliver your items on time, they won't care and won't do anything about their mistakes with your order....it is just not worth it. I have received the wrong item TWICE (which honestly I don't understand how they can mess up the size of a piece which is clearly stated in their website other than it should have never been offered there in the first place because it doesn't exist). Now I'm stuck with an item which is not the one I ordered, and west elm won't care to pick it up and complete the return. THIS BRAND IS A JOKE.

Joe C.: Thus far, we've had nothing but a good experience working with west elm. The store associate we worked with was knowledgeable, professional, and personable, and really helped us choose the best option for our apartment. Our furniture won't arrive for a while, but we'll eagerly await it! The store itself was clean and well-organized.

Jonathan Mullen: Some nice stuff. Seems overpriced for what it is. Similar to Crate and Barrel.Joybird is just down the street and offers higher quality furniture at a better price.

Annapurna Mitra: The worst delivery experience I have encountered. I ordered a dining table and four chairs, with in-home delivery. The chairs were sent via UPS, not assembled, and with no explanation despite paying $250 for in-home delivery. I live alone, and there are 7 pages of assembly instructions requiring two people. I have no way of doing this, and am left with a living room like a furniture warehouse. On the other hand, the dining table, which was ready 10 days ago, and I had asked the customer service to wait and schedule an appointment for all items together is yet to arrive. I cannot find a way to schedule anything on the website, and on the phone I can not find a way to talk to a human being. I have received no response to my email. If I could give zero stars I would.

Sarah Gunel: Customer service was super here! All of the sales associates were helpful, but not pushy. They were also pleasant (happy). After we returned home from our shopping, I realize that I left my daughter's hat there. I called and the woman who answered the phone said she would mail it to me. I was incredibly impressed with their customer service. I would definitely return to this store!

Quoc Thieu Tran: I reached out to Tim to see if he and his team could help move the same Boconcept pieces I bought a couple years ago. Tim was able to accommodate and the furniture was disassembled, wrapped, and moved to my new apartment. While assembly manuals are helpful, having someone who already knows how to disassemble/assemble these furniture pieces definitely expedited my move. Would highly recommend!

Shailesh Kumar: Purchased "Indivi" sectional after customization. It fits very well for two families and perfect for our family room. Very sturdy and contemporary style. We also purchased a customized large leather ottoman to go with it. Quite satisfied with the quality- bit on the expensive side but I guess worth it. Very thankful to Aymann from DC store who helped us for this purchase and spent a lot of time explaining and choosing the right stuff. Looking forward to few other Bo-Concept furniture in our home.

Michael Nagan: Two big thumbs-up for BoConcept, and Tim. The first thumbs-up is for the furniture itself. We purchased several Mariposa chairs and a Granada table. We have absolutely loved them both! They are probably our favorite pieces of furniture. The table is incredibly easy to expand and contract, so we actually do it all the time. (The mechanism is kind of fun to use, so I actually like doing it, rather than dreading it.) And the chairs are beautiful and comfortable. The second thumbs-up is for their service. We had a problem with one of the chairs almost five years after we purchased it. The warranty had long since ended, but I contacted Tim (who wasn’t even the owner when we purchased the chairs) to ask about it. He concluded that the problem shouldn’t have happened, so he offered to fix the chair for free. That involved replacing a substantial piece of the chair - which couldn’t have been cheap for them. And they did the repair in about 15 minutes at their warehouse while I waited and chatted with the lovely repair people. I guess you can tell that I feel pretty positive about BoConcept, but they’ve earned it!

Rob Streicker: I cannot say enough nice things about BoConcept DC and its owner Tim Machenaud. I purchased an office chair from this shop almost 5 years ago and it held up beautifully until one of the wheels popped off -- it appeared that normal wear and tear had stripped a bolt of its threading. Despite the chair being out of warranty, Tim immediately offered to replace the entire chair at no cost to me. It was available to pick up from the showroom the next day. This is customer service at its finest. I'm now sitting in my new chair writing this review -- a very happy customer.

Patricia Strohm: The team at Bo Concept did a terrific job in helping me find the right furniture for my new place. Ayman came and measured and presented a custom look that is elegant and comfortable. The delivery men were equally helpful. Tim is an excellent manager. I've always liked the furniture and other products at Bo Concepts but the Georgetown store is the best (better than the ones in London) I have visited.

Laura Lee: Seriously, the best customer service EVER!. We bought a couch and a rug here and Tim is so expeditious with his replies to anything we needed. There was a little piece of fabric that was sticking out after we got it delivered and he came right away to fix it. The delivery was also the BEST delivery experience I have ever had. SOOOOO OD professional! The inside of the moving vehicle was even cleaner than my house! Definitely NOT a 3rd party delivery service and fake white glove delivery. They wore booties when they came into the house, came within the time frame of said delivery, and gave 20-25 mins notice as promised. I would DEFINITELY recommend them to ANYONE! Superb 5 star service.

R Adebowale: I was interested in purchasing the Austin Leather Barstool from Joybird but like everyone else, I’ve read the reviews about Joybird and was nervous about purchasing furniture from them. I called the DC showroom and asked if they had the barstool on display and they did. I eventually went to the store to view the barstools in person and had such a pleasant experience with the Dela and the rest of the associates in the store. I ended up purchasing the barstools and because I purchased them in the showroom, I got a pair of free pillows! The barstools came in exactly within the timeframe they quoted and they were perfect. Will be back to purchase more furniture!

I highly recommend visiting this location in person if you’re interested in Joybird products and on the fence about your purchase, it’s well worth it.

Amy Rowland: Honestly I was scared to place an order based on the reviews. However, Tyler at the DC showroom was super kind and helpful when we went to look at fabrics. He offered a fabric sample box to take home before making the final decision. Tyler was wonderful. After visiting the showroom (twice), we ordered the Holt storage sectional and were told delivery would be mid-December. We received the couch this week, which was delivered and assembled in our living room with no hassle. So far, loving the sectional - perfect size for our living room, very comfortable, and the pet friendly fabric does not show dog hair. Will be interesting to see how the couch holds up over an extended period of time but, so far so good - a seamless ordering and delivery process.

Jessica Abbott: Our experience with Joybird has been quite disappointing. I will never buy another product from them, and wish we hadn't wasted our time and money. We bought a Hopson Grand couch, which was shipped to us 13 months ago. Within two months, a cushion seam ripped. I thought it was a fluke, and was happy when their customer service sent us a replacement cushion. Six months after that, a second cushion seam split, and again, they sent us a new cushion. Within two months of that, the first cushion they replaced split at the seam AGAIN. Now Joybird won't replace the cushion because the year warranty is over, but they told us we could replace the cushion for $200 a pop. What? On a couch we spent $1600 on 13 months ago? I see the price for that couch has actually been raised to $1760 now, which is absurd. We have a couch that is used in a formal living area that gets very little activity that is basically rendered useless. Meanwhile, our 14 year old Ikea couch that the kids and their friends use all the time, that has been through 5 military moves, and cost almost half the price, has held up beautifully. We'll never buy another Joybird product, and will happily tell anyone I know considering it what an ordeal ours has been, and how poor the craftsmanship is. Shame on you, Joybird.

Vatche Hadajian: Horrible customer service. Order will 100% be delayed if they ever receive it. We ordered a sectional, notified it had shipped and were tracking the shipment. The tracking showed it was in transit for over a month well past the deadline for when it would arrive at the warehouse. I reached out to find out the status and was told they would have to track it down. A week later they said it was lost and will need to reorder a replacement piece. Another month or so and I receive a notice that the order is ready for delivery. I scheduled the delivery and unsurprisingly I only received half the couch (the replacement order was not included). Delivery people had no clue what I was talking about. I reached out to Joybird and they said they will track the missing order and get back to me. We had just gone thru this entire process of finding the missing piece. They are in over their heads with logistic and management. We ordered our couch in Nov 2021 and its currently April 2022 and still no idea when we will get it. If you try calling the customer service number no one will pick up even if its during their stated work hours. Will never order from here again!!!

Brittany Beresford: If I could give 0 stars, I would. TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION, CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND NO ACCOMMODATIONS DUE TO THEIR LACK OF EFFICIENCY. Placed an order for the Denna sectional in June of 2021, which was supposed to arrive around September 10th of 2021. I CONTACTED THEM the first week of October to check on the status because my account showed it wasn’t even in production. A WEEK LATER I received a response apologizing and that the fabric I wanted was on back-order until January 2022. The only option I was given was to pick a new fabric and they’d throw in a protection plan for free. The new fabric I chose had an estimated delivery date of end of October- beginning of November. Right before Thanksgiving I REACHED OUT TO THEM yet again, because it said it was sitting at Lazy Boy’s warehouse. I was told 1/2 of the couch was missing and that they’d start an investigation and get back to me within 3-5 business days. 8 BUSINESS DAYS LATER I REACHED OUT TO THEM, and they still had no answers. My options were to get a refund or place an entire new order (yeah right). I already informed them I wanted a refund if they could not locate the other 1/2, nothing like paying attention to detail. It’s now 12/06 and I’m still awaiting my refund. Please note we aren’t rich, and really wanted to finally invest in a good piece of furniture. M D: Update: 2:27 - I read through the other ratings and decided to the store directly. I spoke with Cynthia and she worked with us on the finding a solution. It wasn't a perfect solution, but it is helping us through until our couch get here. I upgrading the rating from a well deserve one star to three just because of her. If everything goes through well, then another increase in rating will come. So for the moment, go see Cynthia if you need to deal with Joybird Placed an order on July 4th. Promised delivery on the 25th, then the 30th and now December 13th. Their solution was $100 gift card, protection plan or "will provide you a full refund" A good solution would be, "We are sorry for the giant #screw up we did here is 30%+ off your couch and free delivery. Another solution would be " We are sending a temporary couch to your home and will provide you with a very generous discount." Another great solution would be "We are sorry for the giant #screw up, we are paying expediated fees for expedited materials and and will it a rush priority of your couch build, you'll have it in two and half weeks. " The online chat part is one of the worst parts of this company that I've dealt with. Not an exaggeration.

Please save your money and time and invest in a quality couch at West Elm or Crate and Barrel instead. I’ve only had my couch for 2 months and the cushions are sagging, the material bunches up and is already pilling. It looks like I’ve had the couch for years and it is barely sat on. Mandi Lindner: I could've ordered online, but I made an appointment at the 14th street store because I wanted to test the sofa options first. The sales people also have the most up-to-date information on available discounts. I ordered my sofa in early October and just received it, so it took about 3 months. Because it's made to order, they are up front with the wait times and actually told me it would be much longer. I appreciated the communication along the way in letting me know when the manufacturing facility started working on my piece, when they shipped it, when it arrived at port and when it would arrive by truck. Over all a good experience that, again, they are up front about. The couch is beautiful and exactly what I wanted. It's firm enough to not lose cushion shape or need much fluffing, but soft enough for lazy Saturday naps. Great experience overall so long as you listen (in-person) and read (online) when you order to understand that made-to-order furniture will take some time.

Jordan Wells: My family had a great experience. From initial contact, to storefront appointment, to delivery, single Interior Define employee we spoke to was personable, kind, and patient as we figured out what was best for you. My dad and I enjoyed our in-store visit, and loved how thorough Beth was in showing us the pieces we were interested in. The furniture is comfortable, and it’s the upgrade our living room needed. Overall, the only issue we had was with the delivery partner (notified us of delivery date the day before, arrived outside the delivery window, and did not unbox the furniture or remove the boxes as they were supposed to). Luckily it wasn’t the end of the world for my family, and when we let interior define know they were very apologetic that we’d had that experience. However, I don’t hold that against them, and I believe they’re looking for a better delivery partner. Again, this was a wonderful experience, and I know where to go the next time I need furniture!

Thomas King: I was struggling to find a sofa I liked, and dropped by Interior Define. I had a friend who had had a good experience there, so went in with some hope. The team at Interior Define, and the products they showed me, far exceeded the hope I had. I was so happy with the experience, and with the customer service. My rep Aera was friendly, helpful, and creatively astute. She listened to what I was looking for, and provided great feedback and insight. Ultimately she helped me order my sofa at 10pm at night. It was the best customer service experience I’ve had in any design or furniture store. Now I’m just waiting for the sofa - but so far, so great!

Lauren Smith: If you’re considering ordering from here don’t. I ordered my couch in May of 2021 knowing there would be delays, but nothing could have prepared for just how long it’s taken. Customer service does their best, but every time I speak to someone I get a different response on basic things like whether my couch has been built, where it is in transit, and when it will be delivere. Save your money and buy a couch somewhere else.

Adrienne Brooks-Hill: I only went to the store to see how well the Sloan daybed was constructed. The sales team greeted me and informed me upon asking why I was visiting that only the sofa was on display. I sat on the Sloan and asked if it was their standard cushion or the down, since the store carries 3 cushion types. The team told me which and helped me find furniture that used different cushion types. The visit also helped me gauge the weight (hints to piece construction) and seams (points to upholstery skills). I found the team in Tyson's Corner, VA helpful. I was not ignored and they were knowledgeable of their products. Prior to my visit I had tested numerous fabric samples with coffee, ketchup, dirt, etc. and left the fluids on them for 24 hours before removal. I knew before hitting the showroom floor, which was a bad fabric and how solid furniture should be build. Custom furniture should meet high standards to justify the price as I could easily take my money to Greenfront, RH, or Ethan Allen. Because ID was having a sale, I purchased the daybed at home where I could cross reference my room layout and re-measure my door openings. Thus far, I have heard from ID weekly with status updates on my piece. I find this amazing as I don't expect it until late Oct/early Nov. I hope nothing goes awry. Great experience.

S M: I am writing this before even receiving the product, but with the customer service I have experienced this far I want to warn others. They have a general lack of transparency and delivery changes from when we ordered it of 2 months to now 6 months. Additionally they claimed to want to support healthcare workers but only in very narrow terms. I asked to cancel and was told there is 50% cancellation fee within 30 days even though production has clearly not begun. Stay far away from this company and stick with companies that value customer service.

You are the best part of Interior Define, and because of this, we do always want to provide transparency when it comes to both our lead times and how we operate. Our lead times are on our website for each particular item so clients know how long the production, inspection and delivery will take. This information can be found when you choose the item you are interested in and it will be under the customization options before you place the item in your cart. The reason for the extended lead time is due to the congestions that have been an issue since last year at the Los Angeles port. As far as the policy, we do have this stated on the website too as we do begin purchasing all the pieces for production after the 72 hour window period we give to clients to cancel without any fees. Diamond Wilson: Poor customer service experience…We arrived for our 2pm appointment and we were not greeted by anyone. We sat around waiting until 2:15 when finally someone came over to let us know they would be with us shortly. I asked how long the wait would be because “shortly” could mean anything. She said 20 more mins. The associate was not apologetic at all so we decided to leave. There was no respect or consideration for our time and I will not be returning. I’m truly disappointed that this establishment lacks basic manors and customer service skills. We went to West Elm across the street and had a much better experience and our couch will be here in a few weeks!

S B: Worst customer service ever! Never buy something at Roche Bobois, you will regret it if there is an issue with the new stuff. I bought a floor lamp (together with a bed, night stands and a sofa), and only 2 weeks after I received it I found out the lamp has a switch issue. I keep asking them for a solution but they have not sent a technician or found a solution. They do not even respond to my emails. The funny (or sad) thing is their own employees are who gave 5 stars Google fake reviews below (see Arjun Chaudhary and Taina). Both work at the Washington DC location, call there and ask for them. I took a photo in case they delete their own reviews. It seems I am not the only one complainig, check @ Pissed Consumer. All had the same disaster follow up customer service experience. Mary T.: Helpful customer service, and wonderful selection. A very enjoyable shopping experience. Would come back! Only negative was one employee, possibly a manager, Lisa. The associate checking us out asked her for help, she came over obviously annoyed with him then ignored us standing directly in front of her. This male associate was kind, friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to help us. It bothered me that she would treat him this way, especially in front of customers. Maybe she was having a day or was exhausted but it was off putting.

Noah Merlin: Here is why you should never buy a piece of furniture that is "In Stock" at Crate & Barrel again: - My wife and I were looking for two swivel chairs in stock, so we could get them relatively soon and not wait the insane lead times that all new furniture has right now. - We went to Crate & Barrel on 12/24/21: Our sales rep at Crate & Barrel told us our two Drew Swivel chairs were both in stock (~$1,900 total for the two). - We decided to purchase the two chairs on the basis they were in stock. We were told they would be delivered in two weeks (two weeks from 12/24 is 1/7/22). - On 1/5 we received an email that they were being delayed and would be delivered in mid January. We called the store because we thought it was odd that items that are in stock in the warehouse could be delivered. When calling in, we were told that the items actually were not in stock. They offered us a $150 gift card once the item was delivered to make up for it. I did not accept, but they weren't willing to do anything else. - Every two weeks our item was delayed longer, and we were sent an email saying the items would be delivered two weeks later. - This morning, on 2/22/22, we received an email, stating the delivery would be in early March. It has been delayed for two months now, when we had a two-week lead time. So I sent an email to customer support, stating that I would like a 50% refund. Instead of reaching out to me, they emailed me to let me know my order has been cancelled and I have been provided a refund. I have now waited since 12/24/21 (two months) since the order. I have no swivel chairs. I have no order. I now need to begin the search for chairs all over again. I called support at the store, they said they couldn't do anything and I needed to contact corporate. I contacted corporate, and Elaine tried to explain to me that it was my fault for not reading the receipt and that it didn't matter what the sales rep said to deceive my wife and myself into buying these chairs which never came. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM THIS STORE. Crate & Barrel has now admitted to me several times that they have an inventory system bug that makes it so they do not know when an item is in stock or not. This could be true, or they might use it as an excuse for predatory business practices, intentionally misleading consumers into making purchases they may not otherwise. If it is true, they do not account for their errors and expect the consumer to pay for it instead. Goodbye Crate & Barrel forever.

Leo Sheridan: Liz D. came to my rescue when a 3rd party courier service lost a Christmas present! I can't say enough about how professional she was throughout the entire dramatic ordeal. Liz honestly saved Christmas. I've been a customer of Crate for quite some time. I even worked for the company many moons ago. I was astounded by how swiftly Liz handled everything, and she did it during THE MOST busiest time of year!

Jennifer Lee: Very nice community type center for shopping Crate and Barrel is great some nice restaurants and parking if you want to pay for it. It is near American University so you see lots of students around and lots of pedestrians. It's right off Massachusetts avenue so it is bus accessible only as far as public transportation.

Vishal Sinha: This is another good location for Crate and Barrel. The only negative shopping here is the scant parking options. Once you are in the store, the experience is worth the parking issue. The store is laid out well making shopping a good experience. It's hard not to buy more than what we had in mind! The staff is friendly and always ready to help answer any questions. The selection at that store is quite good and we like the products sold here. Or kitchen is stocked with many of the essentials from Crate and Barrel!

Tommy Tang: Very nice and east pickup experience! The stuffs are so nice!

Mohammed Audi: Great quality, just downright horrendous service. We bought all of our furniture across 6 months and it's all really sturdy, high end and elegant. They've done a great job in modern design. If follow-up services mean anything to you, such as eventually replacing sofa cushions, you need to find another place. Any form of follow up requires months of chasing down, pleading and disappointment.

Ardavan Tookaloo: Very modern and beautiful. I like this place a lot. You will never walk out empty handed.

Aysenur Melek: We had an awful experience here. Arlington deserves better. Keep your business to better places. They make people feel as if the stuff in the store is more valuable than them.

Casey Turner: I recently ordered a Murphy cabinet from Z Modern Furniture, purchased it over the phone, directly from Gus. He was able to get it delivered the next day. Unfortunately, it was damaged and did not close properly. I contacted Gus, he was very professional, and asked that I send some pictures of the damage. After receiving the pictures, he scheduled delivery of a new unit, and had his delivery staff verify that unit was 100% before they left. Top notch customer service, will shop again from Z & Gus!

Shawna Gerlock: Gus was incredible to work with from the beginning of the project and throughout the entire project to completion. We are designers based in Toronto, Canada and it was crucial that we had someone who was highly organized and detailed especially as we were working from out of town, making the logistics a bit more complicated. We shipped and stored furniture for a complete home (roughly 9,000 sq feet) with Z-Furniture Warehouse for probably just over a year. Gus was constantly updating us on shipment arrivals and worked with us to create a tracking system that made sense for our needs. We had worked previously with another warehouse in DC and had experienced many issues with missing items and items that were not properly accounted for which was a huge headache for us. This was not the case with Gus, he had detailed records of everything that he received and delivered. He was incredibly easy to work with and when we were unable to make it to DC during our delivery due to COVID19 he and his team were able to deliver and assemble all stored furniture without any issues. We set up all 9,000 sq ft of furniture in this home over the course of a week so having someone organized was absolutely crucial. Being remote for a delivery of this scale was hard enough and having Z-Furniture Warehouse as our team on the ground helped make the process as smooth as possible. He also had great resources for helping fix furniture items that did arrive with damage. I was hesitant initially with the limited information online and we were putting our trust in Z-Furniture without any recommendations, but working with Gus and Z-Furniture was one of the best decisions we could have made for this project. He was also always easy to get a hold of when needed whether by email or phone -- he really came through for us in a big way. I would highly recommend Z-Furniture for receiving, storage, and moving services. It is only a shame that he is not local so we could work with him on all of our Toronto jobs.

DAMHA DUOAS: I've been dealing with Z Modern Furniture for years. My latest purchase was a bar made by Pulaski Furniture and it is very nice and well built. I get compliments on it all the time. The price was reasonable and delivery and setup was very efficient. See Gus and he'll take care of you. Highly recommended.

Carmela Busso: Excellent in store experience. We first met Kyle and were impressed with his professionalism and the sofas he directed us to. We went back several days later to order and were taken care of by the owner. We purchased 2 sofas and, as promised, they were delivered within 1 week. The quality of the furniture is excellent; store service terrific; delivery men clean and professional and on time. I highly recommend this store.

Janice W: We received a delivery of office furniture today. Our office is on the second floor of a walkup building. Your three men were EXCELLENT in their service -- very courteous, taking extra care in carrying up the pieces and carefully setting them down in order to avoid nicking or scratching the pieces. Jen Genealogy: I ordered a item from their website on 8/23. First it was weird that you have to wait for an email to get a delivery charge. Never received an email!!! Called them and he said his system was down and would call me back, he never did.

Sacco & Venzetti: Stopped by today, decent furniture but ridiculously overpriced. I Googled the office chair I was interested in, and they were charging more than double the price of every other retailer. And the guy running the shop (owner or manager) was a total joke. Unhelpful, unfriendly, not knowledgeable about his products - just no comprehension of customer service whatsoever. Pass.

Michelle Bishop: I love the furniture I ordered, although it was pretty expensive. My problem lies more with the customer service. I was told it would take no more than two weeks for my order to come in. Around the three week mark, I called to check in. At that point I was told that it would take no less than four weeks. When my order finally came in, we scheduled delivery. The delivery window was three hours, but the deliver truck showed up over four hours after that window ended. Given that the delivery window started in the morning and set up was not done until 7pm that night - this literally consumed my entire day off. No one called me to let me know that delivery would be late, and every time I called I was told "they just left the last customer and are on their way to you. no more than 15 minutes." I would wait 30-60 minutes before calling again to be told the same thing 3 or 4 times. Being so late is one thing, but unapologetically lying to me and refusing to be more forthcoming so that I can adequately plan my day around the delivery was rude, irresponsible, and terrible customer service. I asked for something to make up for this, and they promised to speak with the owner and call me back. That was several days ago, and I have not heard back. Given that they charged my credit card for the order ages ago, I expect that they will never speak to me again. Seriously, don't work with this company.

Brian Jordan: Failed to meet or come close to promised date, poor customer service, and broke their promises to me. Ordered 28 Sep, to be available within 1 week (5 Oct). Was not available until today, 17 Oct. I repeatedly had to call to inquire on status. At each call, the date moved back. On Wed, 15 Oct, I proposed to cancel the order, and Zfurniture agreed to include free delivery and assembly, and that it would be delivered by Friday, 17 Oct. 17 Oct I called to learn status. It arrived too late to be delivered that day, so I proposed to cancel the order. Zfurniture then promised to hire someone to deliver Friday afternoon. The delivery arrived Friday afternoon, but the delivery man said he was not performing assembly. I called Zfurniture yet again, and they denied offering assembly, but would do it for $75. I disagreed and told them they owed me assembly. They said no. I threatened to cancel, but they said they would not refund $75 of my payment due to the delivery. I let them know I would provide appropriate feedback on the web. UPDATE: I opened the first box (they delivered 3), and it was black, vice the cream I ordered. I looked at the lables on the three boxes, and each was a different color. I called Z-furniture, they asked for time to figure out what happened. They called back to report they had delivered me three separate items, one of which was mine (and the correct color!). They agree to provide assembly of my chair if I would hold the other two items until the next day for pickup. They did come as promised the next day, and assemble my recliner, and picked up the errant deliveries.

Jacqueline Dobranski: We have been enthusiastic customers of Ligne Roset DC since 2012 when we bought a set of 12 formal "So" dining chairs and the iconic pumpkin chair. The store is locally owned by a warm and welcoming community-minded family. This translates to amazing customer service! Owner David Zein has an exquisite eye for design. He patiently helped me choose the right pieces and the perfect colors for my home without sales pressure. A couple of years later I stopped in and purchased the Ploum love seat - like sitting on a cloud! The first night I had it my dog chewed a hole in the seat! David had an upholsterer there the next day and you cannot tell anything happened! Last year we replaced our casual dining table and chairs at Ligne Roset. David swore the chair fabric would not stain, and he was right! I have two young kids - soy sauce, spaghetti sauce, you name it - it all comes right out of light gray fabric with a damp cloth! I have always admired Ligne Roset, and we get compliments on the style and comfort of our furniture all the time. Thank you to David and wife Dani for an excellent shopping experience. We are customers for life! BTW their newest store at the DC Wharf is stunning!

Janee Stanley: I have been to a couple of Lovesac stores during my furniture shopping experience but the Logan circle was by far the best! From the beginning Evan (the manager) was so welcoming and personable. Duane was also working that day and he was just as friendly and welcoming. Evan listened and helped me through the whole process and assured me we would get our furniture in a timely manner. Due to other issues at other furniture stores (Havertys,etc.) ; they were giving a 6-9 month shipping date so this was perfect! It took maybe 5 minutes to place my order. Will definitely return and I highly recommend this location.

anngela hanks: Duane was the best throughout my purchasing process! He was knowledgeable, patient and of course professional. He helped me to understand the differences in the plush, he helped me figure out the best color for my purchase and explained the different accessories. He didn’t pressure me at all! He was just an overall cool guy who was easy to work with. Love Sac give that man more money and his flowers!

We had to push back all plans for five weeks instead of three weeks. Very disappointed in the lack of communication and follow through.

Jennifer Zydney: My best customer experiences come about when someone I do business with makes a problem go away. That was the case with Warehouse Showrooms. Knowing lead times are stretched, we ordered some outdoor furniture well ahead of when we’d need it. When we approached the date that we thought we’d take delivery, we learned there had been some miscommunication about how/when the delivery would occur. Warehouse Showrooms really bent over backwards to address the situation and make it work for us. Super helpful and responsive customer service. Furniture delivery guys were great too, very friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to enjoy our Polywood rockers!

Sara Barth: Warehouse Showrooms is great! We purchased a bedroom set and couldn’t be happier. Excellent quality solid wood furniture at reasonable prices. The staff at Warehouse Showrooms are so easy to work with and gave us realistic expectations about delivery timelines. Barry Rosman: We bought 5 matching walnut chairs to go with our new Live Edge table. The chairs legs were too wide to fit 2 chairs side by side. After some discussion, the came up with an innovative solution to move the table legs at no charge. They saved the day and fixed it within 24 hours. That is service. They are very helpful, creative and very easy to do business with.

Alek Cannan: High quality, hand made, solid wood furniture at fair prices. This showroom is excellent and the staff are really knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. We visited the showroom looking for a dining set and a sleeper sofa. We were really impressed with the range of options available and the high quality workmanship. And most items are very customizable to adjust sizes and wood types and finishes to match just what you are looking for. We are really impressed and would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for long lasting furniture.

If you already know what you want and just want to see fabric, material, or hardware samples then this place will work. Otherwise just go to the DC location that has actual furniture. Disappointment really. They should advertise this as a design studio and not a furniture store.

Paula Rezende: I have regretted buying the Woodrow Bed. After one year of purchase, the sides are peeling off and the slats keep falling with every move. Worst of all is their customer service. I have been trying to reach them, but they just don't call me back.

James Kim: If I can give 0 star, I would give it to Blu Dot. I bought a 2nd best dining table early January with a foreign issued credit card. There was a transaction issue with the purchase because of the credit card address issue or something. They did not tell me exactly what the problem was but they tried 6-7 times. 1 transaction went through as authorization (pending charge). Then they dropped the authorization because of their accounting issues (again, I am not well informed why they backed out). The drop was not reflected to my credit account (still a month later) so I asked their accounting to provide a proof that the authorization was dropped. Store manager and accounting team did not respond to my email at lease. Store manager is not returning my call (I called her 3 times this week). The sales person does not know how to handle this situation so the store manager was involved but the customer service is very poor. I am not particularly complaining about the service that DC store provides but I am complaining more about the customer service that Blu Dot provides. Worst experience ever. I still have this charge on my credit card and I can't let my credit card company know that the charge is dropped because they are not providing the proof. So poorly executed customer service.

Erin Wagner: I’ve gotten so many high quality items from Miss Pixie’s over the last several years, but today I’m finally leaving the five star review they’ve always deserved! We had scheduled a delivery for them to bring a table we purchased, and Miss Pixie herself rolled up in a pickup truck this morning right on time. It turns out the delivery drivers were stuck in an elevator, but somehow that didn’t stop them at all! We gave her a hand and she didn’t charge us the usual delivery fee to make up for the trouble (what trouble?!). We look forward to continuing to shop at Miss Pixie’s as we furnish our home.

India Lindsay: Store has a variety of furniture, art, and random decorations. Everything is laid out artistically while still being easy to walk around. Majority of items are on the pricier side, though you can find a few steals. I snagged a painted medium-sized pot hand painted in Italy for $12.

Jace Warble: Miss Pixies is a lovely little shop with beautiful pieces, helpful and knowledgeable staff, and price that matches quality. Definitely worth stopping by!

Rachael Brown: Everything is over priced just because they say "antique". But that wasn't even my issue. I was in the store for 10 minutes and passed the store employee and was never greeted. I watched her greet other guests who walked in after me and was super cordial to another guest. Cool. I need to furnish my entire apartment, but I'll take my money to someone who wants it.

Alexandra Goodman: Lovely antique store with some really nice pieces. Prices for some of the larger items were reasonable, but pricing was kind of all over the place. Obvious sets of items (chairs, side tables, glasses, etc.) were priced individually which was weird for an antique store. Other pieces were priced way too high, like $95 for an IKEA mirror or $250 for a simple basic wooden console table (which would have been $50 anywhere else but DC). Overall, I enjoyed this store and walking around inside, but I probably won’t buy here due to the pricing.

Kathy Carnevale: We had such a great experience with Good Wood. We had to bring our table up to Northern Virginia and they were so careful to pack and protect our items. The quality of the table and chairs is amazing and the prices can't be beat!

When I left the shop, in my excitement, I called back and purchased a piece that I had fallen in love with over the phone. Later I realized that it was just not right for the intended space in my home. So I called and asked if they could keep the piece (which was still in the store) and offer me an if in-store credit. The guy who sold to me apologized and said returns/refunds were not policy. I asked him if he might call the shop owner but he wouldn't budge. While I do understand the policy, I didnt care for his attitude when he said, "You bought it, now it's all yours." I've shopped many antique stores and MOST will try to accommodate you in some way. You won't get the extra pickle at GoodWood.

Yarden Golan: I rarely give reviews. But GoodWood is hands down the best vintage furniture store in the area. Above their great items, they have the most amazing costumer service iv’e encountered. They will go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. Highly recommended!

Natalie: While the selection is solidly 4+ star, the customer service is anything but. I concur with the reviewer who said the staff barely acknowledged their existence. Once the staff had deigned to answer my question, the two ladies behind the counter gave me that once-over, up-and-down glance before sneering and going back to talking to each other. I’m just… speechless. On principle, I won’t give my money to adults who behave like high school “mean girls.” It’s a shame, since I used to visit this store 10 years ago when I first moved to DC and looked forward to one day having my own rowhouse to furnish. Now that I do, I won’t be shopping here.

David Dreyer: One of the best stores of any kind in Washington. Staff takes a close interest in what customers want. If you don't see what you want, they will survey their sources and find items that work for you. That said, it's very hard to visit Good Wood without seeing a lot of furniture, tabletop, or other items that you'd want to ride home with you. Last, there is an appealing, integrated aesthetic to the place that makes it a pretty nice and welcoming place to visit. 5 stars earned.

peter buttecali: I fully enjoyed my experience in working with Theodore's, they have great selection, fantastic designs and excellent service from initial visit through delivery. I am a professional designer and painfully picky -- they had the perfect set of Italian-post-modern style dining chairs that the absolute best design and most comfortable I found in the entire DC area (and I searched every upscale store we have here). I can sit in them for hours! The pricing was comparable, if not competitive, to other high-quality furniture resources both in-town and online. Marian was particularly helpful, professional and responsive start to finish. I will be shopping there first for items where design and quality matter most.

Susana Ferrando: Theodore has a collection of furniture with different styles which is great since you find in one place items from different designers. Most of the furniture is made in Italy. The quality and craftsmanship is superb, the design is beautiful and the customer service is excellent. We purchased several times and Sandy helped us with the selection of fabrics, colors as well as with the design in the living room. She is a very competent designer with a great eye for space, dimensions and colors. I strongly recommend Theodore and specially Sandy.
