Erin Wagner: I’ve gotten so many high quality items from Miss Pixie’s over the last several years, but today I’m finally leaving the five star review they’ve always deserved! We had scheduled a delivery for them to bring a table we purchased, and Miss Pixie herself rolled up in a pickup truck this morning right on time. It turns out the delivery drivers were stuck in an elevator, but somehow that didn’t stop them at all! We gave her a hand and she didn’t charge us the usual delivery fee to make up for the trouble (what trouble?!). We look forward to continuing to shop at Miss Pixie’s as we furnish our home.

Alexandra Goodman: Lovely antique store with some really nice pieces. Prices for some of the larger items were reasonable, but pricing was kind of all over the place. Obvious sets of items (chairs, side tables, glasses, etc.) were priced individually which was weird for an antique store. Other pieces were priced way too high, like $95 for an IKEA mirror or $250 for a simple basic wooden console table (which would have been $50 anywhere else but DC). Overall, I enjoyed this store and walking around inside, but I probably won’t buy here due to the pricing.

They will pickup things you don’t need anymore (they recently came to my home in dc to pick up an old toilet and vanity for donation). They have such gorgeous stuff and lots of awesome antiques and all at great prices. Love the idea of shopping here since it’s environmentally friendly to recycle and reuse instead of buy new!

ann feltman: Absolutely the BEST place ever!!! Amazing selection of furniture to refinish or have customized. They even offer classes to paint and create your own. Joni is truly the BEST teacher. Truly a treasure, especially for Northern Virginia! Totally in love!

Joni is very knowledgeable, and showed the class so many different types of paint, painting techniques and finishes. The store is fabulous too. It was really neat to see how an ugly dresser could get a new, much more stylish, life. I bought some paint and really look forward to tackling my first project.

Stephanie Cushing: Joni and her team did a great job refinishing an antique walnut chested drawer and vanity desk that got scratched and damaged during a move. She worked with our budget and got everything done just in time for the holidays. The finished pieces look beautiful! We will definitely be back with more furniture for them to fix. Their store is also full of antique wood pieces for sale that were fun to look at!

Catie Kemp: Love love love. They were a bit too pricey for me to consider when I was living in my apartment, but since buying my place last November I have become a very loyal customer. I started working with Daren to get an idea of what I wanted in my living room- just having the sounding board was so helpful. I have since outfitted my entire living room with them- probably went to the store at least ten times before making my order and never felt harassed or pushed into buying immediately. My mom bought her first house in over a decade this summer and I’ve encouraged her to buy with them too (which she has and has had an equally good experience). The biggest thing for me when I’m spending money on furniture is knowing that a) it will last and b) having confidence in my purchase. I most recently ordered a set of four dining chairs which arrived on Friday and the color just isn’t quite right in my space. I went into the store yesterday and discussed the issue with an associate (didn’t catch her name)- they are very up front about wanting to make things right if you’re not happy. She gave me a sample swatch to take home and test in my space and this morning I called customer care who was happy to facilitate an exchange for me. They are back ordered until February so they even offered me the option of keeping the current chairs (so long, of course, as they are kept in excellent condition). Even speaking to their central customer service center is a personalized experience- I don’t have the same concern with other businesses that my order or request is going to get lost in the shuffle. You can get just about anything in any color/fabric/wood stain/finish that they have and the quality is outstanding- I really wish they were in the kitchen cabinet business because their wood quality, in my opinion, is unmatched by any other business I’ve explored at their scale. Everything is made in the US (Minnesota I believe). Of course with the pandemic things (especially custom items) can take a couple or a few months to come in, but this is far from specific to R&B and well worth the wait. I’ve had three or four delivery experiences with them and each time the employees were punctual, communicative, and, most importantly, careful with my home and furniture! In summary I can’t recommend them enough. They have found a customer for life in me and I am happy to scream my unsolicited appreciation from the rooftops any time! Edited to add- forgot to mention they are dog friendly (with treats!). If this isn’t the sign of a good business I don’t know what is.

Julian Coats: Brandi and Corinth restored my faith that great customer service still exists. For me it was very special in that I am in the process of relocating from overseas (work for the military) I hadn’t lived in the states for years. So setting up a residence in the states from overseas can and did present many challenges some such as the time difference I am 6 hours ahead of est. this being said brandy and Corinth were 100% professional from the moment I spoke with them. Their patience with me was wonderful. They took the time to really help me in figuring out what was the best package for me at the same time being flexible. as someone with little knowledge of furniture they took the time to use their knowledge to ensure the furniture was a great match. I could go on and on about the overall customer service experience I received. But mostly when we are overseas we feel detached when having to deal with relocation because most just don’t understand the challenge we are facing when trying to establish a new residence in the states but Corinth and Brandi took the time to listen to ensure the furniture portion was seamless. . I thank them both and will highly recommend to my unit overseas to make sure anyone transitioning to the dc area reach out to the for any furniture needs. She is " Da Bomb" she was polite, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, delightful and just an all around good person to represent Cort Furniture. There was also another young lady who was delightful. Then there was a gentleman who wrapped my items and hand carried them to my car. The staff in that store are extremely customer service oriented, helpful and so, so pleasant. We called before making the hour drive to this location to make sure they had what we wanted and Corinth assured us that they had our choices and that they were in great condition. When we got there everything was in amazing shape and Corinth helped us put together an amazing package within our budget! We are so grateful for her help and we will definitely be back to furnish the rest of our apartment. We definitely recommend this Cort location to everyone. hansel tan: The Herman Miller sale sign invited my wife and I to check out Eames lounge chair inside the clean and well designed store of Design Within Reach. Both of us came inside the store with a cup of coffee in hand, we politely asked if it’s ok to bring beverage indoor and the staff answered politely that it was ok. The staffs were very polite and helpful to both my wife and I, definitely a great selling point for furnitures shop. We checkout out the multiple different lounge chairs they have on display with great caution and loved all of them.

Muge Sherdil: This place is awesome! We have been furnishing our entire home from here. The place is inviting and very cute, but above all, customer service is above and beyond. They are always friendly, helpful and very accommodating. At a particularly busy time a few days ago we paid another visit to the store and we were catered to with such care it is unbelievable. They took me through all the units, helped me choose what would work for my house, discussed my budget and gave me awesome discounts to be able to get my dream furniture. The store closed and they didn’t chase me out, they were so pleasant and assisted me till the completion of the purchase which was way past closing time (over an hour). They also gave me awesome gifts to welcome me to DMV and to help warm my new home 😊. They didn’t stop there, they helped me get the best mover (Kassa). Tim was able to accommodate and the furniture was disassembled, wrapped, and moved to my new apartment. While assembly manuals are helpful, having someone who already knows how to disassemble/assemble these furniture pieces definitely expedited my move. Would highly recommend!

Shailesh Kumar: Purchased "Indivi" sectional after customization. It fits very well for two families and perfect for our family room. Very sturdy and contemporary style. We also purchased a customized large leather ottoman to go with it. Quite satisfied with the quality- bit on the expensive side but I guess worth it. Very thankful to Aymann from DC store who helped us for this purchase and spent a lot of time explaining and choosing the right stuff. Looking forward to few other Bo-Concept furniture in our home.

Michael Nagan: Two big thumbs-up for BoConcept, and Tim. The first thumbs-up is for the furniture itself. We purchased several Mariposa chairs and a Granada table. We have absolutely loved them both! They are probably our favorite pieces of furniture. The table is incredibly easy to expand and contract, so we actually do it all the time. (The mechanism is kind of fun to use, so I actually like doing it, rather than dreading it.) And the chairs are beautiful and comfortable. The second thumbs-up is for their service. We had a problem with one of the chairs almost five years after we purchased it. The warranty had long since ended, but I contacted Tim (who wasn’t even the owner when we purchased the chairs) to ask about it. He concluded that the problem shouldn’t have happened, so he offered to fix the chair for free. That involved replacing a substantial piece of the chair - which couldn’t have been cheap for them. And they did the repair in about 15 minutes at their warehouse while I waited and chatted with the lovely repair people. I guess you can tell that I feel pretty positive about BoConcept, but they’ve earned it!

There was a little piece of fabric that was sticking out after we got it delivered and he came right away to fix it. The delivery was also the BEST delivery experience I have ever had. SOOOOO OD professional! The inside of the moving vehicle was even cleaner than my house! Definitely NOT a 3rd party delivery service and fake white glove delivery. They wore booties when they came into the house, came within the time frame of said delivery, and gave 20-25 mins notice as promised. I would DEFINITELY recommend them to ANYONE! Superb 5 star service.

Eric Overton: Staff at this store were basically useless and didn’t seem to know much about the products for sale. Fortunately, I was only there to test a floor model before buying online. Shipping was fast with only two weeks between purchase and delivery. Delivery dudes were both prompt and chill.

Geneva: I was wary of buying from this store based on some of the reviews here; however, after a year of searching for the right sectional, I found the perfect one for me at West Elm. I received good service from the store. The sales person was very clear that my sectional - which I bought in November for a nice discount - would not arrive until early January. As promised, I got calls and emails from the delivery department the second week of January and was able to schedule a date that worked for me. The two delivery guys were amazing - they had to maneuver their big truck down a narrow alley to get to the loading dock. They were professional and efficient and out of my apartment in less than 15 minutes. The sectional is exactly what I wanted and so comfortable.
