Erin Wagner: I’ve gotten so many high quality items from Miss Pixie’s over the last several years, but today I’m finally leaving the five star review they’ve always deserved! We had scheduled a delivery for them to bring a table we purchased, and Miss Pixie herself rolled up in a pickup truck this morning right on time. It turns out the delivery drivers were stuck in an elevator, but somehow that didn’t stop them at all! We gave her a hand and she didn’t charge us the usual delivery fee to make up for the trouble (what trouble?!). We look forward to continuing to shop at Miss Pixie’s as we furnish our home.

India Lindsay: Store has a variety of furniture, art, and random decorations. Everything is laid out artistically while still being easy to walk around. Majority of items are on the pricier side, though you can find a few steals. I snagged a painted medium-sized pot hand painted in Italy for $12.

Jace Warble: Miss Pixies is a lovely little shop with beautiful pieces, helpful and knowledgeable staff, and price that matches quality. Definitely worth stopping by!

Rachael Brown: Everything is over priced just because they say "antique". But that wasn't even my issue. I was in the store for 10 minutes and passed the store employee and was never greeted. I watched her greet other guests who walked in after me and was super cordial to another guest. Cool. I need to furnish my entire apartment, but I'll take my money to someone who wants it.

Alexandra Goodman: Lovely antique store with some really nice pieces. Prices for some of the larger items were reasonable, but pricing was kind of all over the place. Obvious sets of items (chairs, side tables, glasses, etc.) were priced individually which was weird for an antique store. Other pieces were priced way too high, like $95 for an IKEA mirror or $250 for a simple basic wooden console table (which would have been $50 anywhere else but DC). Overall, I enjoyed this store and walking around inside, but I probably won’t buy here due to the pricing.

Franklin Sahlhoff: Couple things* Prices are high but you get what you pay for in regards to the condition that said they need to do some spring cleaning??? Maybe I’m just a clean freak but they could hire some heavy lifters to clear the place out felt like half storage unit half show room. William Kraybill: Wonderful Experience! Doug, the owner, has more knowledge of Modern furniture in general and Danish Modern in particular than anyone else I have spoken with. He will give you the background and history of any piece you're interested in, so you know exactly what you will be getting when you are considering a purchase. More than just facts and details, he gives you a feel for the piece, so you can really understand how it will fit in your home. I love this guy :)

Mario Zampaglione: I've tried to go to this store on two separate occasions. Each time I was met with rude upper management that wasted my time and did little, if anything, to make up for their mistakes in having me wait outside the store after having called to ensure the store was open. Furthermore, their stubbornness in refusing to admit their mistakes and offer any kind of conciliation was truly infuriating. While their collection of furniture is certainly nice (reason for the two stars) they overcharge like crazy. I was able to find the same couch I found in their store for 45% less and in much better condition. Having finally furnished my apartment from other vendors, I've learned that this store has a reputation of consistently rip customers off. I'm all for supporting small businesses like this, but my consistent poor experience with Modern Mobler leave me to have to leave this review.

talltomtroyny: Great store and everyone was more than helpful. Prices are very high. I couldn't afford anything. I asked about a teak garbage can and was quoted $800-$1200. I also picked out a few Dansk candle holders which the guy didn't know the price. I gave him my email address, and still haven't gotten a price 3 days later.

I was amazed on the quality and the prices. Such good materials and customer service. I made this my store of choice. Btw thanks a lot for instructing me on what to get! tavea brooklyn: This shop is a treasure everything $2! It used to be all $1 but went up during covid. I find great items here has a great variety.

Virginia Inzeo: Mike the owner was very friendly, his prices were great and he is accommodating with his prices. It's a little small on space, and there is street meter parking. The store is on a side street so not many people know its there. If you enjoy a treasure hunt and have patience and love cheap prices its worth a visit.

James Walsh: This place is so unique. It's a great way to upcycle instead of buying some random new piece of terribly made cheap material. Picked up some solid wood chairs for cheap. They absolutely need to be refinished, but they are solid and needed a new home. If you're okay with using some elbow grease, then this place is awesome. It's also just a responsible use of materials.

Ramy Sharabi: Absolutely a must go for treasure hunters and if you are looking for home remodeling and furnishing in a budget. It is not an antique store, rather a salvage store that sell second hand and used construction, home improvement, kitchen cabinets, doors and windows, and electric appliances etc for decent prices. Friendly staff and plenty of parking spots.

Jennifer Ibrahim: What an amazing community resource that i bet most people aren’t even aware is here. This is the goodwill of home renovation. They will pickup things you don’t need anymore (they recently came to my home in dc to pick up an old toilet and vanity for donation). They have such gorgeous stuff and lots of awesome antiques and all at great prices. Love the idea of shopping here since it’s environmentally friendly to recycle and reuse instead of buy new!

Melani Harden: I was walking the wrong way as I am out of state and wanted to visit this place. A man in there was very rude to me and started just saying no. So I asked for help and he said “im on break” and walked away. I understand people need to eat but dang there are better ways to speak to people and offer them help. Walked out immediately due to that experience.

Tiffany Roberts: This is THE place to go to hunt for DIY furniture in Northern VA. Once you’re there, you can roam the warehouse of unending furniture and paints. Everyone was SO nice and gave me great suggestions for my next DIY project. I purchased two chairs for my new house and will definitely be back for paints!

Elizabeth Taber: When I priced out buying new kitchen furniture, replacing my six chairs alone would have cost more than I wanted to spend. Plus I didn't want to give up my table, which is in good condition, or the chairs, which are some of the few I can sit in comfortably. Joni and The Back Dorr to the rescue! They did a lovely and professional paint job, working hard to customize a color that kept the seats true to the color of my table. And that was after patiently removing the old, damaged finish (see before and after pics). Every encounter with the folks at The Back Dorr was pleasant, and I highly recommend working with them to save the furniture you love.

Ryan Boyer: The Back Dorr and The Front Porch is the place to go if you are looking for restored furniture, furniture repair, or custom painting. The owners are knowledgeable, helpful, and incredibly patient in dealing with their customers. We got a customized cabinet turned into a media table which was exactly what we were looking for when we couldn't find anything brand new. Their work is the highest of quality, their prices are fair, and their selection is great.

ann feltman: Absolutely the BEST place ever!!! Amazing selection of furniture to refinish or have customized. They even offer classes to paint and create your own. Joni is truly the BEST teacher. Truly a treasure, especially for Northern Virginia! Totally in love!

Lauren Kirkman: I had a great evening out doing the Painting 101 class at the back dorr! Joni is very knowledgeable, and showed the class so many different types of paint, painting techniques and finishes. The store is fabulous too. It was really neat to see how an ugly dresser could get a new, much more stylish, life. I bought some paint and really look forward to tackling my first project.

Laura Small: The quality here is top-knotch, and the customizable options allow you to get your furniture piece looking exactly the way you want. Joni's team re-finished this old china cabinet base for me to use as a TV stand; the paint and preservation-coating really brought the piece to life. I really appreciated the personal care and attention The Back Dorr team put into producing a quality piece that I can admire in my home for many years. You won't regret entrusting your antiques to this honest, hardworking business!

Charlie Ampuero (Charlie): Great place and great prices! Stop in often, inventory is always updated. Joni and Dave are very knowledgeable and can solve any furniture problem.

Y G: This is a hidden gem you don’t want to miss. Their staffs are so friendly and professional. You can find all kinds of high quality antique furnitures here. I would definitely come back again.

B KH: I had a great experience there yesterday. This is the shop that acquires, cells, and repairs older furniture. The furniture available is very unique. Stephanie Cushing: Joni and her team did a great job refinishing an antique walnut chested drawer and vanity desk that got scratched and damaged during a move. She worked with our budget and got everything done just in time for the holidays. The finished pieces look beautiful! We will definitely be back with more furniture for them to fix. Mark Weinress: Really like this store, and all the Room & Board locations. Large and nicely laid out for easy shopping. Well priced, well made stylish furniture with a good, but not overwhelming selection. Very helpful staff. Lots of options on upholstery and other details. Brandon Gaimari: Customer service is actually good but products are over priced junk. Bought a bedroom set and the design of the bed causes it to squeak every time you roll over. Customer service had Dr. Furniture come out twice - one time screws were missing in the bed, the next time installed slat pads (why were these not installed originally?). For the price you pay, the quality is not what it should be. Beware.

Anna Harrington: First, we had a guy helping us who like was non responsive at the Logan circle room and board. Then I ordered online for July 7 and the furniture store confirmed via email and when I called they told me July 7 was unavailable. Not good service for the price and wouldn’t buy here again.

Summer Logan: I was working with Lisa (who apparently is the store manager). Her behavior does not seem like she should be. My problem was passed off to Peter and I felt underappreciated as a client. Would not recommended the people that work here. Service is below expectations for the money you spend and management should do a better job. Seems like they do not care or engage with clients. Highly disappointed and unsatisfied.

Kathryn Adamcik: I ordered a couch from here in August and it was to be delivered at the start of December. It was delayed until the end of December and I waited for it to arrive. 1 day before it was supposed to arrive in the warehouse I got an email saying it would be delayed for 2 more months. I waited for 2 months and days before it was supposed to arrive in the warehouse after the 2 month delay I got an email saying it was delayed again. I have called customer service and they have been of no help. They have no idea when the couch will arrive or what the progress is on it. They will not give a discount for this long delay. I am stuck in a pattern where I expect the couch to arrive any day, and then it gets pushed back. This is not okay. I paid over 3k for my couch and am just getting brushed off by customer service, the managers that I have spoken with, and the associates who we spoke to in the store we shopped at. I was planning on purchasing a side table, coffee table, and lamp after the couch arrived, but I will no longer be using room and board in the future. I ask you all to be wary of purchasing from here. I paid for the couch in full and now it looks as if it will never arrive. I expect more from this company, and am highly dissapointed.

Catie Kemp: Love love love. They were a bit too pricey for me to consider when I was living in my apartment, but since buying my place last November I have become a very loyal customer. I started working with Daren to get an idea of what I wanted in my living room- just having the sounding board was so helpful. I have since outfitted my entire living room with them- probably went to the store at least ten times before making my order and never felt harassed or pushed into buying immediately. My mom bought her first house in over a decade this summer and I’ve encouraged her to buy with them too (which she has and has had an equally good experience). The biggest thing for me when I’m spending money on furniture is knowing that a) it will last and b) having confidence in my purchase. I most recently ordered a set of four dining chairs which arrived on Friday and the color just isn’t quite right in my space. I went into the store yesterday and discussed the issue with an associate (didn’t catch her name)- they are very up front about wanting to make things right if you’re not happy. She gave me a sample swatch to take home and test in my space and this morning I called customer care who was happy to facilitate an exchange for me. They are back ordered until February so they even offered me the option of keeping the current chairs (so long, of course, as they are kept in excellent condition). Even speaking to their central customer service center is a personalized experience- I don’t have the same concern with other businesses that my order or request is going to get lost in the shuffle. You can get just about anything in any color/fabric/wood stain/finish that they have and the quality is outstanding- I really wish they were in the kitchen cabinet business because their wood quality, in my opinion, is unmatched by any other business I’ve explored at their scale. Everything is made in the US (Minnesota I believe). Of course with the pandemic things (especially custom items) can take a couple or a few months to come in, but this is far from specific to R&B and well worth the wait. I’ve had three or four delivery experiences with them and each time the employees were punctual, communicative, and, most importantly, careful with my home and furniture! In summary I can’t recommend them enough. They have found a customer for life in me and I am happy to scream my unsolicited appreciation from the rooftops any time! Edited to add- forgot to mention they are dog friendly (with treats!). If this isn’t the sign of a good business I don’t know what is.

Renee Davis: Don’t get me wrong, I love this furniture store. The customer service is great. Delivery service (workers) is great. It’s the actual product, the furniture quality that deserves 1 star (none if I could) our last purchase was the Reese sectional sofa. The buttons pick you when you sit on it and the cushions are cheap. No Cush whatsoever! It’s like sitting on the floor. The entertainment center has no wire outlets in the back for cord management and it scratches easily. And even though the only rerun policy listed is for mattresses I was told (Ginny) that if it was a couple weeks past they would be able to take it back? Do not be fooled by the pretty picture. It’s not worth the price!

Julian Coats: Brandi and Corinth restored my faith that great customer service still exists. For me it was very special in that I am in the process of relocating from overseas (work for the military) I hadn’t lived in the states for years. So setting up a residence in the states from overseas can and did present many challenges some such as the time difference I am 6 hours ahead of est. this being said brandy and Corinth were 100% professional from the moment I spoke with them. Their patience with me was wonderful. They took the time to really help me in figuring out what was the best package for me at the same time being flexible. as someone with little knowledge of furniture they took the time to use their knowledge to ensure the furniture was a great match. I could go on and on about the overall customer service experience I received. But mostly when we are overseas we feel detached when having to deal with relocation because most just don’t understand the challenge we are facing when trying to establish a new residence in the states but Corinth and Brandi took the time to listen to ensure the furniture portion was seamless. . I thank them both and will highly recommend to my unit overseas to make sure anyone transitioning to the dc area reach out to the for any furniture needs. I was extremely impressed by the selection of furniture and how helpful and knowledgeable the staff were. Debra Russell: I went to this business for the first time ever! I was assisted by a young woman name Corinth. She is " Da Bomb" she was polite, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, delightful and just an all around good person to represent Cort Furniture. There was also another young lady who was delightful. Then there was a gentleman who wrapped my items and hand carried them to my car. The staff in that store are extremely customer service oriented, helpful and so, so pleasant. I bought several items and plan to go back and buy more as soon as possible. This is a great store with lots of distinct and unique pieces. Kayla Imani: All we can say is WOW! My boyfriend and I are moving into our first apartment and we needed quality furniture at an AFFORDABLE price. We called before making the hour drive to this location to make sure they had what we wanted and Corinth assured us that they had our choices and that they were in great condition. When we got there everything was in amazing shape and Corinth helped us put together an amazing package within our budget! Heather James: I visited this store today. The pieces of furniture and items were unique and interesting. I found that most of the items were way overpriced. I saw a few dressers that I liked that were refurbished ,painted or remodeled. However they didn't look worth the $300 or more price tag. Every thing here seemed and looked over priced. If you are looking for a good deal this is not the place to come. I am no expert on antiques so maybe many of these items are antiques. You might be better off going to Ikea or Value Furniture if you are price conscious.

Jim Michaels: While the design offerings are attractive, I cannot do business with a store that has no interest in their clients. I have experienced being ignored in many of their store locations but the Washington DC store takes the prize. Not one person greeted me or offered help in the 25 minutes that I wandered the store looking for what I had received an email for that very morning. When I did finally ask someone and show a photo of the item, I received a perfunctory, “sorry” that it was not in stock. I was sorry to interrupt him from typing on his laptop and sorrier yet that I had imagined actually receiving some assistance from a salesperson. How silly of me!

Max Crocetta: After purchasing a second-hand Herman Miller Sayl task chair, I wanted to add the Lumbar Support Kit that it was missing. Upon calling DWR, I was greeted by Nikoo. She was friendly and prompt in answering any/ all questions I had, then quickly sent over the invoice so that I could move forward with my order. I realize that due to COVID and other variables in today's world, many industries are experiencing supply chain difficulties and that there will be a wait for this item, however I appreciate Nikoo explaining the circumstances and setting clear expectations! Looking forward to receiving this piece and completing my chair! :)

ro Hu: Very poor customer service for such an expensive furniture store, I had ordered a part for pedant lamp last June, since then just heard excuses from the store manager and staff member, DWR needs to improve on customer service experience. I am against name shaming so I won’t share name of individuals !!

Dondré: I really hope you have a better experience than I did, but you should avoid purchasing from this studio. I would recommend going here to only see the furniture in person and testing it out to see if it's comfortable or maybe clarify a color. THEN ORDER THROUGH THE MANUFACTURER NOT THE STUDIO. I ordered a herman miller sayl chair from here on December 3rd. There was some confusion with the color I wanted. The picture looked grey on the imagine I was shown and I made it clear that I wanted a white chair. I was told that the chair was actually white and that the lighting in the picture made it look grey. I trusted the person who worked there they would know better than me. Turns out the chair was grey when I got it. No big deal, honest mistake. My biggest issue is that it is now February 2nd and I'm still dealing with this problem. I still don't have the chair I actually wanted. On email exchanges and phone calls they tell me what I want to hear but no action has been taken, only suggestions about what they can do, which has only been offering me a partial refund. I made it clear I'd rather do what it takes to get the color I want. It seems like they have been stalling on purpose so that the return policy runs out. I have reached out to Herman Miller in hopes to get this situation handled. This is ridiculous.

Lucy: Sent me wrong item. They were quick to get their item back but still have not managed after three days to even start shipping the correct item for what was supposed to be next day delivery.

Jessica Nazarova: We have been in this store a couple of times ordering furniture and taking our time deciding between things. Jonathan has been extremely patient and kind with us. My husband and I have vowed to stop shopping online after this in-store experience! :) Even our 5 year old, who typically would hate being in a furniture store, enjoys being at Design Within Reach because he gets to play with the spinning kids chair and globe lights. We also spoke with four or five other designers in their store and everybody was extremely helpful and kind when we had questions about something. The atmosphere here is great!!!

I. David Shocket: Worst customer service ever in the Georgetown store. Longtime customer of DWR and have never had a bad experience previously. We ordered 6 Bacco chairs during the March sale which were in stock. We received 4 chairs in a timely fashion; two chairs lost en route. Replacement chair was wrong color. Multiple emails to the store manager with no response. Visits to the store on several occasions with reassurances that we would have a response in 48 hours - no response. The corporate office resolved our issues in 48 hours, and we finally received our sixth chair in August (5 months later). Order online and avoid the aggravation.

Josef Assouline: Walked in, looked at the prices, walked out immediately. Design within reach? In reach of what? Bankruptcy?
Response: Hi Josef, thank you for the comment. This is actually a common misconception about the company name, so we’re happy to address it. Design Within Reach started out (more than 20 years ago) with the mission to make authentic modern design accessible. Back then, customers simply weren’t able to buy the classics (Eames, Saarinen, Le Corbusier, etc.) at retail, meaning those pieces were “out of reach” for anyone who wasn't a professional interior designer, working with middlemen or visiting Europe to do their furniture shopping. DWR began forming relationships with renowned design manufacturers around the world to stock classics and newly designed pieces, all with the idea to make design “within reach.” Over the years we’ve continued to expand our assortment with new products at a variety of prices. Hope that background is helpful.

Sam Schrantz: Was very happy with my experience, much more than I was expecting. I was referred to them by the Herman Miller store so I could try out the Aeron and Embody office chairs before purchasing one. The salesperson actually tried to create a personal connection and didn't try to talk me into anything I wasn't already looking for. He was well informed and told me about the company's history, his personal work experience, and how they continue to help their customers even after their purchase. I came in expecting to be satisfied with the Aeron chair, but found the Embody far more comfortable and easier to move around in. The salesperson was able to explain the difference between the normal embody chair and a limited edition version that is actually cheaper with all the upgrades. Overall, it was a very positive experience and though I wasn't planning on purchasing from them, I probably will now.

hansel tan: The Herman Miller sale sign invited my wife and I to check out Eames lounge chair inside the clean and well designed store of Design Within Reach. Both of us came inside the store with a cup of coffee in hand, we politely asked if it’s ok to bring beverage indoor and the staff answered politely that it was ok. The staffs were very polite and helpful to both my wife and I, definitely a great selling point for furnitures shop. We checkout out the multiple different lounge chairs they have on display with great caution and loved all of them.

Jamie X: I am a huge fan of the CB2 brand. I visited the store to see some of the contents in my online cart in person. I loved every piece just as much as I did online. The showroom itself is okay. Georgetown is always busy. One plus is the complimentary validation of parking if you visit the store for 1 hour. They did have floor models of a lot of the more featured pieces. I felt the rug selection was a little lacking. And the selection of lighting was also lacking. Overall if you know what your looking for you trip will be worth it. The sales staff was friendly and helpful with out being pushy...another plus.

Samantha Angel: This store permanently closed on Feb 20, 2022. They will open a new store in the Tysons Corner area in Virginia, not sure when. So even shopping online is tricky, because they still have stuff packed up at this store and no news on when or where the new store will be set up. Otherwise love their products! Especially the Drift Reactive Indigo Dinner Plates! But when you try to order online it shows in stock, you pay and then receive emails it's not in stock and they cancel your order. Then the website still shows it in stock, what's going on Crate and Barrel 2? CB2... come on now, we love your stuff now make it easier for us to buy them.

Aref Darzi: One of the worst experiences I ever had in ordering furniture. I placed an order for a coffee table, a floor lamp, and a a set of dinnerware and flatware. The coffee table delivered damaged one week later than their estimated time and I needed to wait for 11 more days to get it replaced. The floor lamp is right now 1.5 months delayed without any updates from CB2. The dinnerware set was delivered with some broken pieces, I asked for replacing, after 2 weeks they sent it to a wrong number. It is a mess. I don't recommend placing any order from CB2 unless you can see the actual item in the store and pick it up right away. It has been a disastrous experience.

Nikki Banner: Beautiful store with LOTs of sales associates. But not one does design and can’t give input. You have to book an appointment online. They also are promoting 15% off on their site but they weren’t knowledgeable in store. Could definitely be improved. For those buying put your email in online and get the promo code. Promo code can be used in store

Sha Mar: I love this store. Staffs are friendly, polite and professional! Furnitures are modern, stylish and elegant! Atmosphere is fantastic!!!!! You can spend hours and hours looking around and nobody would even bother you! This is my kind of furniture store! They recently added natural plants into their designs looks like heaven on earth to me! You should definitely check out their new designs, details, their new fresh plans with pots and etc ... super stylish and very up to-date with modern style of living plus the touch of nature which is perfect.

Muge Sherdil: This place is awesome! We have been furnishing our entire home from here. The place is inviting and very cute, but above all, customer service is above and beyond. They are always friendly, helpful and very accommodating. At a particularly busy time a few days ago we paid another visit to the store and we were catered to with such care it is unbelievable. Ray and Britanny went out of their way to make it convenient for us and always kept their friendly demeanor. Thank you so much!

Sara Tenney: I had a bad experience with the store manager. I returned pillow cases and she told me they were used which they weren’t. Apparently my cats had climbed into the bag which cats are known to do and the pillow cases had cat hair on them. It was of course what she should have inquired but it was clear she didn’t believe me when I said they weren’t and I felt terrible that she believed I was lying. She could have handled the situation with a lot more grace. I won’t be back

Lashonda Steward: There is always something going on in this store but I had to post this complaint. I stood line for at least five minutes. I watched three people walk past the line and went straight to the cashier posted. She looked at me and served the three ladies instead of sending them to the back of the line. The store was packed. I reported the incident to the manager and his response was "so what". I told him it wasn't fair for all of us who waited and followed the rules. His response was " I can't do nothing." He didn't even bother to tell customers that they should wait to be called. I'm know for sure I can donate and purchases stuff from other store. People shouldn't cry foul when they are committing the foul!!!

Blaque Love: Recently visited this lost gem that was super organized and well managed, but unfortunately I became frustrated by the style chosen to hang the clothes. Instead of the clothes organized by size as it used to be, they now just lazily hang them all together. I ended up leaving out pure frustration without purchasing anything. Super disappointed.

Dale and Dell D: I really like this store. They have many pre-owned beautiful items (furniture and art/décor) that are offered at much lower prices than which they were originally purchased. I don't expect the salespeople to be experts on all the furniture they sell because they are not the manufacturers of the furniture.

Andre Mann: The store staff isn't knowledgeable about items they sell. I purchased a solid wood dresser. The store management didn't know what wood species were used. A person by name Kim sent me a link to the manufacturing website where I read that maple, cherry, or walnut is used to produce this kind of dressers. The store wouldn't let me take the dresser home because the store policy that heavy items must be delivered by a third party. I bought it June 12th, 2021 and after going back and forth about delivery date the email came in saying that the delivery will be made June 30th. I offered an option of me hiring professionals to delivery the piece, the store declined my offer. I will never buy anything from them.
Response: The most credible information is from the furniture manufacturer along with details of our assessment supporting the manufacturer's descriptions. We rely on authoritative sources in providing information. Your account of details are grossly inaccurate, and more important you neglected to note delays were caused by you and non acceptance of offered delivery dates. We made every attempt to provide excellent service by waiving store policy and accommodating your requests ranging from discounts to logistics demands.

Julia Just: I have bought multiple items here such as my living room couch, and have been happy till today. The person with me has a medical condition and needed to use the restroom ASAP. The lady working in the store refused the use of the bathroom. We are offended and will not shop here any longer.

The bathroom is a multi-use space that is not handicap compliant making it inappropriate for public use. DOLFIN MAPS: Great work! I worked with Purgistics as the Director of Operations at The Financial Integrity Network. We moved into our new office space at the beginning of 2019 and started working with Purgistics towards the end of 2018. Ari, Reuven, and their team were great! They helped us get quality furniture for our entire office space--walking us through the entire process. We were on a tough timeline and they were able to have everything installed and set-up prior to our deadline. We continue to get compliments on our space.

Byron Radcliffe: Ari and his team at Purgistics were indispensable when Equal Access International moved into our new headquarters in July of 2018. Their ideas on how best to configure our office furniture floor plan to maximize space was spot-on. Throughout the planning and installation process they were always accessible and immediately resolved any problems that normally arise when furnishing an entire office. EAI was on an extremely tight schedule to move into the new space and downtime wasn't an option. The Purgisitcs staff ensured the furniture was installed on-time we were up and running with zero downtime. Good value, great service and a very professional team.

Chad Wilcox: We were looking for smart, modern, and functional but not too expensive, and Purgistics fit the bill perfectly. We were able to visit their showroom in Georgetown and kick the tires on the furniture we were considering, which was very helpful. They even came to our space and did measurements and helped us revise our choices to better suit our configuration. We were so pleased with the work fitting out our DC office that we also got them to refurnish our South Florida office. Vendor customer service as its best; I highly recommend.

K Apara: Lisa was AMAZZZING! I am new to the area & needed quality furniture at an excellent rate & turn around. Lisa showed me CORT's meticulously curated selection & she was so welcoming & friendly to me & my service animal 🤗🐕‍ 💜 . This CORT location has excellent new & lightly used furniture. Lisa explained that the used furniture is usually from businesses & the pieces are thoroughly sanitized by professionals before going on sale. I purchased a new couch with an exquisite sectional in a blue that "pops"...and I purchased a lovely used dining table set & desk set...perfect for days when I am working from home remotely. I've never had such a lovely & quick experience in a furniture store. Also they have same day delivery which is a huge plus! Aniba & Richard were also kind... Their bedroom selection is not as plentiful...but they did have a few vanity sets. I also scored a huge foldable work table that I will use for art projects. It's funny b/c my mom recently spent thousands on a similar couch set from Macy's...it took 6 months to arrive (supposedly due to COVID) & the quality is not nearly as good as my couch. Don't allow a fancy store name to fool you into throwing away money on subpar furniture. CORT has excellent pieces for an affordable price tag. Trust me you cannot beat the customer service, quality, or price...highly recommended 💃🏾🧘🏾🤸🏾‍♀️!

Arik Karani: Recently moved into the DMV area and I went in to check out the furniture. Yousser and Lisa were amazing. They took me through all the units, helped me choose what would work for my house, discussed my budget and gave me awesome discounts to be able to get my dream furniture. The store closed and they didn’t chase me out, they were so pleasant and assisted me till the completion of the purchase which was way past closing time (over an hour). They also gave me awesome gifts to welcome me to DMV and to help warm my new home 😊. They didn’t stop there, they helped me get the best mover (Kassa). He was so professional, he delivered the entire furniture same day and fit all the items where I requested him. This is definitely the store to visit. Renee Jagana: Shopping at Cort Furniture was the best experience I had this year. One of the representatives name Lisa was very fast with responding to my email request. I went in the next day and she was very professional it seemed like she already knew what I was looking for because everything that she was showing me I wanted it and brought it. I was in and out of Cort Furniture Outlet in Rockville MD less than 40mins. My apartment bed, dinning and living room are filled with Cort Furniture for an affordable price. Tim was able to accommodate and the furniture was disassembled, wrapped, and moved to my new apartment. While assembly manuals are helpful, having someone who already knows how to disassemble/assemble these furniture pieces definitely expedited my move. Would highly recommend!

Shailesh Kumar: Purchased "Indivi" sectional after customization. It fits very well for two families and perfect for our family room. Very sturdy and contemporary style. We also purchased a customized large leather ottoman to go with it. Quite satisfied with the quality- bit on the expensive side but I guess worth it. Very thankful to Aymann from DC store who helped us for this purchase and spent a lot of time explaining and choosing the right stuff. Looking forward to few other Bo-Concept furniture in our home.

Michael Nagan: Two big thumbs-up for BoConcept, and Tim. The first thumbs-up is for the furniture itself. We purchased several Mariposa chairs and a Granada table. We have absolutely loved them both! They are probably our favorite pieces of furniture. The table is incredibly easy to expand and contract, so we actually do it all the time. (The mechanism is kind of fun to use, so I actually like doing it, rather than dreading it.) And the chairs are beautiful and comfortable. The second thumbs-up is for their service. We had a problem with one of the chairs almost five years after we purchased it. The warranty had long since ended, but I contacted Tim (who wasn’t even the owner when we purchased the chairs) to ask about it. He concluded that the problem shouldn’t have happened, so he offered to fix the chair for free. That involved replacing a substantial piece of the chair - which couldn’t have been cheap for them. And they did the repair in about 15 minutes at their warehouse while I waited and chatted with the lovely repair people. I guess you can tell that I feel pretty positive about BoConcept, but they’ve earned it!

Rob Streicker: I cannot say enough nice things about BoConcept DC and its owner Tim Machenaud. I purchased an office chair from this shop almost 5 years ago and it held up beautifully until one of the wheels popped off -- it appeared that normal wear and tear had stripped a bolt of its threading. Despite the chair being out of warranty, Tim immediately offered to replace the entire chair at no cost to me. It was available to pick up from the showroom the next day. This is customer service at its finest. I'm now sitting in my new chair writing this review -- a very happy customer.

Laura Lee: Seriously, the best customer service EVER!. We bought a couch and a rug here and Tim is so expeditious with his replies to anything we needed. There was a little piece of fabric that was sticking out after we got it delivered and he came right away to fix it. The delivery was also the BEST delivery experience I have ever had. SOOOOO OD professional! The inside of the moving vehicle was even cleaner than my house! Definitely NOT a 3rd party delivery service and fake white glove delivery. They wore booties when they came into the house, came within the time frame of said delivery, and gave 20-25 mins notice as promised. I would DEFINITELY recommend them to ANYONE! Superb 5 star service.

Stacy Lemery: Having a West Elm accessible to bus and metro lines is great for residents of the DC area. There is always lots more online, but being able to see the quality of bedding, furniture, etc in person makes a big difference. I have purchased a bed, bedding, hallway shelving, a shoe rack, curtains, candle holders, and other decor from West Elm.

Ms.: I love the items in the store. Very stylish and very unique. 2 full floors of sofas, pillows, dishes, pot holders, baskets, wall decor and more. Easy to stay in store and "look"..sure to find an item for your home or gift for another. Can't really talk about customer service except to say no one acknowledged or ask me did I need help to find an item. I was on my own..succeed

Eric Overton: Staff at this store were basically useless and didn’t seem to know much about the products for sale. Fortunately, I was only there to test a floor model before buying online. Shipping was fast with only two weeks between purchase and delivery. Delivery dudes were both prompt and chill.

Geneva: I was wary of buying from this store based on some of the reviews here; however, after a year of searching for the right sectional, I found the perfect one for me at West Elm. I received good service from the store. The sales person was very clear that my sectional - which I bought in November for a nice discount - would not arrive until early January. As promised, I got calls and emails from the delivery department the second week of January and was able to schedule a date that worked for me. The two delivery guys were amazing - they had to maneuver their big truck down a narrow alley to get to the loading dock. They were professional and efficient and out of my apartment in less than 15 minutes. The sectional is exactly what I wanted and so comfortable.

MIchael Wright: Prices are unnecessarily high, since the doors are left open during warm weather, thus requiring more energy for A/C,, which also incrementally contributes to climate-changing emissions. So, not the shop for customers who either don't like higher prices or want to help the environment.

Angela Garcia: STAY AWAY FROM WEST ELM. It's customer service is the worst, they won't ever deliver your items on time, they won't care and won't do anything about their mistakes with your order....it is just not worth it. I have received the wrong item TWICE (which honestly I don't understand how they can mess up the size of a piece which is clearly stated in their website other than it should have never been offered there in the first place because it doesn't exist). Now I'm stuck with an item which is not the one I ordered, and west elm won't care to pick it up and complete the return. THIS BRAND IS A JOKE.

Joe C.: Thus far, we've had nothing but a good experience working with west elm. The store associate we worked with was knowledgeable, professional, and personable, and really helped us choose the best option for our apartment. Our furniture won't arrive for a while, but we'll eagerly await it! The store itself was clean and well-organized.

Jonathan Mullen: Some nice stuff. Seems overpriced for what it is. Similar to Crate and Barrel.Joybird is just down the street and offers higher quality furniture at a better price.

Annapurna Mitra: The worst delivery experience I have encountered. I ordered a dining table and four chairs, with in-home delivery. The chairs were sent via UPS, not assembled, and with no explanation despite paying $250 for in-home delivery. I live alone, and there are 7 pages of assembly instructions requiring two people. I have no way of doing this, and am left with a living room like a furniture warehouse. On the other hand, the dining table, which was ready 10 days ago, and I had asked the customer service to wait and schedule an appointment for all items together is yet to arrive. I cannot find a way to schedule anything on the website, and on the phone I can not find a way to talk to a human being. I have received no response to my email. If I could give zero stars I would.

Sarah Gunel: Customer service was super here! All of the sales associates were helpful, but not pushy. They were also pleasant (happy). After we returned home from our shopping, I realize that I left my daughter's hat there. I called and the woman who answered the phone said she would mail it to me. I was incredibly impressed with their customer service. I would definitely return to this store!

Suzie Agrillo: An impressive, curated selection of clothes at affordable prices. I was able to try on and buy a number of designer selections for $3-$11. The staff was friendly and helpful, telling us at checkout that all clothes were 25% off. I got a variety of whimsical, one of a kind items for a modest amount of money. I highly recommend this store. It also made me feel even better that all of the sale proceeds benefit the blind.

Zoya Margolis: What happened guys? It used to be a thrift store I loved to buy from but it changed to eBay priced store during the pandemic. They actually look up ebay to price their inventory. That's not longer a thrift store moto! The Twig Thrift store a block away is my favorite. The Christ house catholic charitues is my other fave.

Liza Frasca: Great finds. Very reasonably priced. Money goes to good cause. Helps people get eye exams and glasses

Z S: Very weird experience every time I come in. They seem to not be organized enough to price items before they are put out so I've had to deal with volunteers trying to google search an adequate price for what might be a "valuable" antique. I've been turned away from buying items that are out on the sales floor because they want to appraise them. It's a thrift store not an antique auction event. They also make looking around uncomfortable by watching your every move as if you'll run out the door with something. Disappointing since they have cool things every once in awhile but not worth the unpleasant experience.

Laura Sims: They used to have reasonable prices but since the pandemic everything is twice the price.I don't mind donating to them but they shouldn't be selling at such a high rate.

Saint Demetrios of Thessaloniki-VA: they have a wonderful selection of all kinds of household and clothing and furniture and very friendly and easy to do business with.

Annie Jernigan Goldberg: I love the thrift shop. I went there to go volunteer. The place was filled with lots of stuff and there is a place upstairs with clothing. I love that the people are selling the stuff to help prevent blindness.

maeve: It’s really nice. I went there with a couple of friends and ending up going again. I bought some nice clothes and nice purses. Great prices and the staff are really nice and welcoming.

Stevie Lynn: My favorite thrift shop in Alexandria. They always have a huge variety of items, and great sales. Downstairs is household items, books, decor and more; upstairs is clothing and a wide selection of picture frames and wall art. Definitely worth a stop!

Diana Hathaway: Very nice. Clothes can sometimes be a little pricey for thrift...but has awesome jewelry and HomeGoods and specials that balance it out ! Definitely recommend.

m rivera: Great place to buy second hand clothes. The prices are very reasonable and the items are in good conditions. The people who work there are nice. Update: My review was when Martha's outfitters was in 14th St. For the new location, the closet metro station is Anacostia. The associates are nice and welcoming. They offer a program to help people in need especially parents with children. The day I went in, there wasn't much to choose from. However, you can always call in to see when they will stock up.

Yichen Dong: Very good for women, not so much for guys. Every time I go there, I feel like I see the same suits and shirts I saw last time. Meanwhile, my female friend is getting like 7 dresses and 3 shirts for 30 dollars. So it really does depend in your gender.

Marquita Williams: Becoming a Member was effortless!!! Staff was great and welcoming. The store was clean and well organized. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!!!

Foreign Luxurii: I plan on giving the director a call tomorrow as my experience here is always a negative one. Today as I was checking out, a young Ethiopian cashier and another cashier with long deadlocks -both female- seemingly acknowledged everyone in line ahead of me, except for me and another woman behind me. As I was waiting in line I observed the two cashiers engaging in senseless banter about certain customers in the store and then directed their attention at me. I simply ignored it but as I approached the counter the cashier with dreadlocks snatched my items without a word and began ringing me up. I could've simply cancelled my purchase, walked out and visited another establishment that wasn't "thrifty" but I chose to stick it out as I enjoy patronizing at neighborhood shops, especially those that are great for -and give back to- the community. I attempted to engage the cashier by making her acknowledge me with a "hello" , to which she seemed irritated and bothered to even respond, muttering it back underneath her breath. This has not been the first time that i have experienced such an occurrence at this establishment and I've tried my hardest each time to give it a chance, however I can't any longer. The associates aforementioned definitely need to be reprimanded and reminded that the shopping and donating the community does is ultimately going to their paycheck! This is a poor representation of what Martha's Outfitters stands for in this community and needs to be fixed asap.
