Jojo Restaurant and Bar: what do users think?

Fernanda Lanzagorta: The live music is definitely the best asset of this restaurant. Its 10 dollars for the the music. We were expecting more on the food, the fries and apple tart were the best of all. The ambiance is so cozy and inviting. I’ll come back for the music and the desserts.

mletts423: This is a great spot! The Jazz was incredible. It is a small bar with great sound. The bartenders work really hard and make great drinks! I highly recommend this place!

Vicki J (MylifeMystyle): Jojo’s a vibe ! If you like jazz / live music then check it out when in DC . There’s a $10 cover for the nights the band is playing live for downstairs seats. The food is tasty as well .

Anita Molina: What a little gem. We came to enjoy some late night jazz. Cozy inside, atmosphere was fantastic. Loved the ambiance. Excellent food, excellent drinks and most importantly excellent music. We will be back.

Emerson P. Daniel: interesting. food is great! the bartender pictured here touched my limes with his bare hands… and he kept going to the side to eat like taking chomps,,, i guess he was really hungry 😂😂😂overall— unsanitary and friendly in a fake way. oh and he didn’t know what the menu pictures were.. like what🤣🤣🤣 do you want me to get something?? and i kid you not my friend was asking about the picture and i literally figured out myself so you would THINK the bartender could do the same let alone know off bat—

Alex Moore: Came for the jazz and will probably only come back for the live jazz. The drinks were pretty standard, maybe a little too sweet on their fruit based cocktails. We had a reservation but had to wait ~20-30minutes for the table, despite arriving on time, since the party before us took their time to gather up and leave. The food was ok, and took a very long time to come out. Ordered the lamb chops rare, but only one of the 3 were rare. The chops varied in thickness too, which added to the uneven doneness. The dish was supposed to come with garlic mashed potatoes but came out with a few potato wedges instead, the spinach side was good. They add 20% gratuity to your bill and $10/head for live music.

Mastro's Steakhouse: what do users think?

John Darden: The steaks were cooked just right. Our waiter was polite and make our evening more enjoyable. The lobster mash potatoes had plenty of lobster meat; however, it was oily. If you like lemon drops then you should definitely try theirs because of the taste and presentation. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were huge. We had added crab meat to one of the steaks; however, we felt as though the restaurant could have included more meat relative to the cost of the dish but it was good. You can pay your bill using your phone. That was a nice touch (no need to wait for someone to come back to you) We plan on coming back.

Jaela Ford: This review is strictly for the waitress named Nicole. We would have given 5 stars if she did not taint our experience in the beginning. We were told by the hostess that she would be our “wonderful” waitress. She also came over to bring us menus and ask our water preference as if she was our waitress. However, for some odd reason the waiter was switched. When she was acting as our waitress, she was extremely short when answering our questions & seemed as though she did not want to be bothered. She also never introduced herself. We had to ask our new waiter for her name. There was absolutely nothing positive about her. It was as if she had pre judged us just because we were a table of young black women. Thankfully, our new waiter Phillip came over and saved the night. He was super welcoming and helpful. He answered all of our questions with a smile. His customer service was top tier! The drinks and food were also amazing! Thank you Phillip!

Mary McKay: We couldn’t have chosen a better establishment to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. From the food to the service, everything was exceptional. The service size of everything is huge! You could definitely share every course and spend half the money…or if your like us, we enjoy the left overs the best day 😍.

Renee M: Sooo...the wagyu steak was delicious and the seared scallops were the BEST I have ever had! The sear on both dishes was perfect, the flavors were on point, and the meat melted in my mouth like butter! The drinks were CRAZY good, like strong, but made with appreciation for the full flavor profile vs just the liquor. Our server, Rice, aka the Tony Baker look a like was on it. He was very attentive and gave us great suggestions. We have 4 sides, 2 were bomb and 2 were not. The roasted brussels a sprouts and the cream spinach were tasty. The cream corn was gross and the lobster mac was under whelming. For $40 a side I would like more flavor. The atmosphere was cool. The live singer was entertaining and awkward. I would go back just to chill at the bar.

Chez Billy Sud: what do users think?

Alexander O'Neill: Whether for an anniversary, birthday, or date night, Chez Billy Sud is the perfect place to celebrate. A small French bistro in Georgetown, this restaurant has an intimate atmosphere well reflected in its dishes. Every dish on their menu is a winner and you simply cannot go wrong. The poultry dishes are excellent, and I’d recommend pairing with a bottle of wine. The sommelier is hilarious and went above and beyond to help us decide on a pairing.

Diana Milena Lopez Avila: Amazing good & service. We ordered the leeks vinaigrette for appetizer and the poulet rôti for main course. For dessert we ordered the tarte au fromage. Everything was absolutely amazing.

Jannat Nain: Just left chez billy and I feel compelled to write this review. We stopped by without a reservation and were accommodated by the staff. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Torrence (hope I got the name right!) was an excellent server and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. The food was absolutely delicious and exceeded our expectations. We ordered the gnocchi special, the duck, the chicken and the buccatini. The dessert was good too. The ambience was really nice as well. We will be back here again!

Hope Greenleaf: Really cool place! You’ll find a great happy hour, yummy food and drinks, and a fun and knowledgeable staff. The restaurant itself is really cute. There is a little courtyard between two buildings. I prefer to sit at the beautiful wooden bar in the right hand side building. I don’t remember the bartender’s name but he was witty and kind. I definitely recommend Chez Billy Sud!

lucia hostrup: Beautiful French Restaurant in Georgetown . My recommendation is: MOULES-FRITES and LOUP DE MER -Delicious Sea bass. try to get a spot on the courtyard out back.

Jamie: so lovely! went here to celebrate with my friends and everyone was very friendly. really enjoyed the diverse crowd and our dinner and drinks were wonderful 10/10

Areen SH*: This place is so cute and cozy and Alamo feels private. The food is always amazing, the staff is very friendly. I would recommend this restaurant for couples or maybe a group of 4 , but not more.

The Hamilton: what do users think?

Anny Khaysavang: We made reservations at 6pm and were sat down right away upon arrival. Food was delicious and all came out quick! The Mac and cheese was a little cold but other than that, all of the dishes were 5/5. On top of the fast service, our server Courtney was super nice and knowledgeable of everything on the menu. Loved our server and the food! Highly recommend as a dinner spot for friends and family!

Joyful Biodun: Beautiful building! The atmosphere is so soothing and welcoming! You want to sit there forever. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional, the hostess and host were incredible and amazing. I had a great time dining here for lunch with work colleagues.

Natalie Caldwell: Massive restaurant. Very attentive and kind management and wait staff. We had the single banana bread loaf with the whipped honey butter - don’t skip this. It’s awesome. The fried chicken sandwich was fantastic especially with the extra mumbo sauce (the two pieces of chicken weren’t overly crispy but I imagine because of the extra sauce). The truffle rosemary fries were great, but nothing there wasn’t enough “stick” for the rosemary and pecorino cheese to stick to them which was frustrating. Otherwise, great meal. Excited to go back.

P. B.: Great atmosphere. Friendly attentive staff. Prompt service and tasty food. When you see a restaurant attract children dining out with their parents, business dinner groups, single diners and couples you know its good quality. all overseen by the pleasant Irishman John Grace. Pictured is the tasty Hamilton Burger.

Denise Primus: Service was amazing. Servers were very attentive even thpugh the place was packed. Food was delicious. Must try the boozy milkshakes. Carrot cake was really good..it was a busy night but they accommodated our party of 25.

Jessa 4Peace: This was my first time at The Hamilton Live. Went to see a Led Zeppelin cover band. The venue is easy to find and clean. Quite a pleasant small venue for a more intimate show. There were 2 bars and my cocktails were good...a bit pricey but good. The restrooms were clean and the COVID vaccine screening process was quick and thorough. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely see a show there again!

RPM Italian: what do users think?

Sandeep Wilkhu: Excellent experienceWe sat in the bar because we did not have reservations. But our waitress Addison was so very excellent she made it an excellent experience. I would go back to the bar seating.

Charli Knows How To Eat: A very good friend of mine treated me to this very fancy dining experience. It was so amazing. I would recommend this restaurant for special events or celebrations. It is quite expensive however the service is great and the food is even better. I convinced my date that I’d like my own steak however I did not know they give you such large portions which is a first to see in a upscale restaurant like this. Nonetheless it was so tender and evenly cooked I ate every single piece !

raymond burgos: The service and hospitality are on par with the best in the world with amiable and capable staff. The presentation and food are excellent. The decor is well-suited to a high-end establishment and will make you break into a smile as soon as you walk in. The portions are good, not more significant portions - this is a tasting restaurant. Quality over quantity!

Des KF: My boyfriend and I had reservations for this restaurant for my birthday. When we arrived we walked in and was greeted by the hostess and she sat us. The tables were super close to one another which was the only downfall. Tim was our waiter and he was so nice and attentive. We started with drinks and I got the Spritz and Giggles, it was weak but it was tasty. For my entrée I got the king crab with squid ink pasta and that was good. My boyfriend got the shrimp scampi pasta and he really enjoyed it. Tim gave us a cheesecake because we waited for a while to get drinks and that was so nice and it was so tasty. I also slid in that it was my birthday and he gave me a small, cute dessert to sing happy birthday. I really enjoyed my time, the ambiance was great and so was the food and service.

Lin Dinh: dim, upbeat ambiance with upscale cocktails— perfect spot for a bourgeois night out. plates were tapas size but the perfect portions. the mushroom pizza was by far the best pizza I’ve ever had. the short ribs were also superb. love it here!

MADDART: It was my first time dining here. I ordered a New York strip which was about 16 ounces.(a lot bigger than I expected from an upscale restaurant. It was cooked perfectly and had lots of flavor. The server was a bit forgetful about a couple requests I had made for pepper and silverware. I had to ask several times. Other than that the setting was great and I enjoyed my time there.

H. Ibdah: Amazing service. Amazing food. Amazing atmosphere. We went there to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The waiter was theatrically impressive. The food was outstanding. We tried many dishes, I only took a photo of the main courses. I highly recommend the octopus for a starter. For the main we had the lobster pasta, meatballs, steak and side dishes. Great for romantic dinners and for outing with friends.

john Dickerson: Reservation required, proof of covid vaccination with ID valet available $20. Service was outstanding John was our waiter, and he did a great job everything was swift and on time. The food was delicious, for appetizers we Truffled Garlic Bread Parmigiano-reggiano, 1/2 dozen half Shell oyster, truffle and parmesan cheese pizza, Big Eye Tuna Bruschetta Basil Aioli garlic toast, the main was Lobster Fra DiavolobCalabrian chili & tomato and Short Rib Bolognese Pappardelle, Rosemary. For dessert we had Tiramisu Whipped mascarpone & coffee.

Imani: The decor was nice. We liked our dishes but were not a fan of how soft the meatballs were. The plates were also small. We started off with a spritz for our drinks but sent it back because it was very sweet. We ordered a Paloma instead which was very delicious. The reasons for the star decrease was the hostess. We asked if we could move our table and she tried to explain the seating arrangements but made a condescending remark by saying “does that make sense” with a slight attitude which was very noticeable by the both of us.

The Occidental: what do users think?

Al Ectric: Everything is really excellent about this location: the service, the decor, the history, you name it, just top notch. However, the food 🥘 with all honesty was average. The quality, taste, an flavor were okay with both the half chicken platter and the salmon platter we ordered. Not worth the price. They were cooked/served without salt and I don’t care what secret recipe you have, if you don’t use salt when you cook, might as well head to the nearest senior living buffet (no offense). But hey, I guess you’re only there for a piece of history and service.

Hilda Kroll: A nice, quiet place to have lunch and a challenge to remember the names of the famous people whose portraits are hanging everywhere. The short rib grilled cheese sandwich had lots of tender meat and was oozing with cheddar and Bel paese cheese. What made it unique and special was the radicchio-citrus marmalade. Reasonably priced with great service thanks to Chanel.

antoinette rodney: Food was good. Pleasantly surprised by the cornbread. I was expecting the usual starter bread. The cornbread was served in an iron skillet so it stayed warm longer! I had the pasta special which was pasta made on site with lobster and clams. It was not heavy at all! I also had the Occidental salad which was also light and good. Normally with a meal this size I walk out of the restaurant feeling like I had a ton of bricks in my stomach because I was so full but not here. Decor is interesting. Many pictures on the walls of influential people in Washington. Waiter was attentive!

Khoi Nguyen: Came here for lunch with some coworkers. We had some oysters, angus burger, crab cake sandwich and the fried green tomato BLT. Everything here was delicious. Oysters were so good we had to order another dozen. The burgers and sandwiches are a must order. The crunch from the thick cut bacon and fried tomato in the BLT was definitely the highlight. The crab sandwich was cooked perfectly and the added water crest added some great texture. This is a great place to people watch. The outside patio is perfect when the sun is out. Food and ambience here is great. If you want seafood and American food this is one of the best spots around the mall.

Karen L: We took advantage of restaurant week to revisit an old friend, the Occidental. The food is still great. The seating arrangement does not crowd the room and allows for conversation. We enjoyed all the dishes we had as they were interesting and well done. Will definitely put the Occidental back on the list for lunch rotations given our pleasant dining experience. If the ice cream cookie sandwich is on the menu, get it! the cookie was fab! (My fantastic Grilled Point Judith Calamari Salad is pictured: Beet Yogurt, Barley Chips, Apricot -Harissa Coulis, Summer Mixed Greens, Shaved Daikon Radish)

Barcelona Wine Bar: what do users think?

Eva Milstein-Touesnard: This food was SO good and the bread is house made fresh and complimentary! 😉 so you know we got LOTS of bread. Also, the price wasn’t too bad for dine in! The wine was also really good. And such an amazing vibe inside and outside. Overall loved it!

Nik Rama: Barcelona is always an amazing chain of restaurants to get high quality drinks and tapas. The four of us were quickly seated and ordered several tapas and drinks. The tapas were incredible (I forgot to take photos and only got one…). Empanadas were super tender and savory on the outside while encased in a crispy exterior. The other crispy fried appetizers with with cheese and meats were unique and delicious in their own ways. The view of the street from this restaurant is also great. You can watch the bustle of the city go by while enjoying the cool and shaded seating of this restaurant. The only reason for the 4 stars is because it’s a zoo here. So many people trying to come eat here leads to long lines and people loitering outside. Make sure to come during a non-peak hour to enjoy this experience itself!

Анжела Четина (Сексолог и психолог): Visited Washington from DC for two days and I am happy o could come to this cozy restaurant. In December I could eat outside thanks to heaters which is amazing, food is good quality, big variety of choices. Amazing ambiance, small piece of Spain 🇪🇸 tasty, stuff is friendly and smiling, wine is also high quality with an incredible smell. Highly recommend that place !

Erick Vivas: The food is very good! The place is beautiful but too loud! I was very happy with the tapas. All of them simply delicious.

Jay Law: Although we got seated immediately, on a Saturday nonetheless, service was slow. Now, that doesn’t take away from quality of the food but it’s definitely hinders your experience some. Which the said, the tapas style menu items are perfect for someone who like to taste and try different foods. The drinks were great and vibe was on point.. plus, it’s patio is great for afternoon eating and people watching in DC.

Alex Gonzalez: Amazing atmosphere and the Sangria is by far the best we have had. For food we had the charcuterie and the meats and cheese we had were absolutely amazing. It seems to us that they have very fresh ingredients. The staff was very friendly and service was top notch. It’s worth checking out if you live here or are from out of town and want an enjoyable dining experience. We highly recommend it. Edit 1. I forgot to talk about the bread. The freshest bread I have had at any restaurant.

Mica Ann: I’ve tried Barcelona Wine Bar when vacationing in Denver and our experience was rather intimate. It was definitely a shock for me to not only have an extremely crowded bar but also too loud of a music you cannot even hear yourself giving the order. Server recommended two to three tapas per person which is about right. We ordered ten tapas and the only ones I remembered are: patatas bravas, shishito peppers, boquerones (sardines), mussels, ham croquettes, shrimp in garlic, and half paella seafood. We just came back from Spain two weeks ago and all of the tapas we ordered are very much comparable in taste, quality, serving size, and price. So I am very happy about that. The place is extremely packed when we came in at 10:15pm with a reservation. The service is rather slow. I think our waiter has way too many tables for him to handle. The manager actually served our first round of tapas and got our order drinks. I was very impressed that he remembered our drinks without writing them. Got me a little bit worried that he got them right because it took a very looong time before our drinks came. But hey, he got them 100% right! Five stars for the really great tapas and good but not great paella. Five stars also for the cocktails and wines we ordered. I’m normally empathetic coz the world is short-staffed. But I think since this is a franchise, they had a choice not too accept too many customers or to hire more help and whatever their choice was, it was not displayed right the night we visited. Less one star for the awful service. This is a wine bar, not a nightclub. Less another star for the too loud music. Make sure you make a reservation especially on weekends and holidays.

Rebecca Kert: Virtually everything was a 10/10. The server had super helpful recommendations. The drinks were creative and delicious— especially the guns and rose and bourbon spice. All the tapas we ordered was delicious and the bread was wonderful. Fun atmosphere but still family friendly.

Ivy Chan: You’re paying for the environment. Pricey dishes. I went for brunch and their tapas dishes are small and overpriced. Taste was good but not worth the price. The braised pork was barely 2 pieces and cost $9. Lots of alcoholic drinks to choose from.

Miguel Curiel: Popular place with delicious food and drinks. This may not be the best place to have a deep and intimate conversation, but it is a great pick if you’re searching for a youthful ambiance, party-like vibes and some good Spanish meals + wine! Due to its popularity, it is strongly advised to reserve beforehand (tried to walk in once, estimated waiting period was 45 minutes which actually ended up being 2 hours i.e. it is VERY popular and entails lengthy stays).

The Prime Rib: what do users think?

Arlan Bryant: This place is amazing! This was the first time my wife and I have went here. It was truly a memorable fine dining experience, for our anniversary. The ambiance of the restaurant was classy and comfortable. Plus the touch of having a piano and piano player, playing music throughout the evening was nice. Our server, Roberto, was excellent! Then there is the food; amazing! Literally, every item we ordered was prepared perfectly, and they had a nice wine menu. To top things off they have us an delicious creme brulee to share for our anniversary. We both agree that it was a great experience and we will definitely return.

NatFan: Pretty good steak. Not the best but solid. Had the 21 ounce rib eye with imperial crab and broccoli with a bottle of Justin. Justin is highly recommended. They were all pretty good. Moved to the bar to be closer to the pianist. Late Bday outing with friend.

Isa Alvarez: Lobster Santiago was tasty. Wonderful atmosphere with live music, a piano and bass. Men are required to wear a suit jacket throughout dinner.

John Barnhart: Birthday dinner for my brother. Excellent service, excellent food. Guys must wear a jacket but they have some if you forget yours so no worries! I had the rack of lamb which was awesome

Mia Dillard: The food was okay, but bland and did nothing to entertain my tastebuds. The cocktails were of less than average taste for the area, but the wine list seemed nice. The music was joyful, but it’s hard to hear over the conversations of people seated so close to you. The ambiance is nice, but a little too traditional and stuffy for my youthful taste. The service was simply excellent. I even enjoyed the cheesy dad jokes. I would not recommend to a friend.

Nathaniel Lack: Exceptionally priced food cooked unexceptionally. This place is merely going through the motions hoping no one realizes that their best days were decades ago. Instead of focusing on whether men are wearing jackets, perhaps they could get a good chef instead of what seemed like fry cook to make our meals. Very disappointing.

Sequoia DC: what do users think?

Zuleirys Santana Rodriguez: Amazing customer service! The outdoor dining is just soo extremely gorgeous, spacious and clean in every way. You have a lovely view of the water, the Sweden Embassy, and just the river! The food was just next level, specially the octopus that was cooked to perfection and I will certainly have it again when I come back to bring my boyfriend.

IamJoedie S: This was my first time and the experience was awesome. We came for a birthday dinner. A party of 12 arriving at 5 PM on a Sunday. We had two servers they were on top of everything. There was never a moment a glass was empty. Food service was quick hot and absolutely delicious. I had the steak was absolutely surprise when the potato came out with macaroni and cheese…must order if, no when you come. If you’re looking for a sexy restaurant to have a brunch, lunch and or dinner this is definitely the spot it overlooks the water great date spot. I will definitely come back again. Next time for the brunch. I hear that it is phenomenal. Come. Eat. Drink. Enjoy!

jen w: I gave this 3 stars because of a couple reasons first we had a reservation Saturday at 1:30 pm for their tapas brunch. They were super slow getting our food to us at the beginning. We ordered two rounds of food before the waitress came back and told us it was last call. We were barely there an hour. There is a 2 hour limit, I feel that if they have reservations till a certain hour they should allow the two hour minimum for people. It’s 64.95 per person they aren’t doing a favor for anyone. Next we chose to sit inside and it was obnoxiously loud. There was a group of people that were talking and screaming to each other, while I’m glad they were having a good time management should have asked them to simmer down because all the rest of us could to was watch them because u couldn’t talk for the noise. Having said all that, the food was very good. We opted for Bellinis and Mimosas. They were very good. The waiters walked around with carafes of Champagne and refilled you. My glass never got empty. I would go back here but make an earlier reservation and in cooler weather where I could it on the patio so I don’t have to deal with the noise.

John Varkey: We came for an anniversary dinner. The hostesses were a bit surly and disinterested but our waiter was great. The views are fabulous. My wife had the crab cakes and I had the lobster scampi. They were both fabulous but according to my wife the lobster had the edge. We went for a nice stroll along the water and around Georgetown after dinner. A very nice evening was had.

Kat B: Loved this place so much. My partner and I came here for our anniversary, not only was the view beautiful but the energy/service of the staff was amazing . The food was spectacular, definitely get the burrata if they have it ! We were pretty full but still made room for dessert and an espresso which was also delicious . Definitely recommend for a date night/ celebration . Prices were in line with the portions/ambiance .

Crystal Sings: Beautiful simply Beautiful 💜My daughter and I brought my mom to last Saturday’s brunch for her 80th birthday and we really enjoyed the service, food, and ambiance of the restaurant. George, our waiter was awesome and made our experience so memorable! Thank you George!

elizabeth rose: Visiting from florida and this restaurant was highly recommended by locals and im delighted i took their advice! The atmosphere was great, very inviting and scenic, indoor and outdoor seating offered with a nice view of the river. food was really good and exceeded expectations and the server Dominique went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our experience :)

Firefly: what do users think?

Sadhana G: Went to this beautiful place for brunch on a Sunday. The food was a whole new level of excitement! Presentation and quality of the food and the good ambience set the right tone for the weekend. But the only setback was the price. We had an Egg frittata, chicken and waffles and Egg Benedict-crab ( the chef special) and it cost us 70$. A great place to grab finger food in a cute setting !

Garner Marshall: Excellent breakfast spot. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Parking is pretty scarce around the area. Staff is excellent. Good is delicious. Music is diverse. Location is convenient. This is going to be one of my new favorite breakfast spots.

Mariia Sarlayan: Wonderful food, amazing service, beautiful interior, pleasant vibe. A bit pricey for brunch but worth it. I wish more tables outside had umbrellas for shades but even then the experience was memorable.

Linden Yee: Solid brunch, overall recommend. The eggs on the benedict were pretty undercooked but the flavors were good, and the chicken and waffles were really well seasoned. Service was pretty slow, and the staff seemed to be up against a lot. While the waiter was great, they appeared to be the only one working the entire restaurant.

Khadija Khan: The restaurant has changed a lot since the last time I was here! Really friendly staff and nice ambiance! My favorite was the peanut butter and jelly French toast with the jalapeño honey! It’s an Interesting combo but I really liked it. Our server recommended a really yummy mocktail! The food was a little pricey so I’m not sure if I’ll be visiting again any time soon, but the dishes were innovative and delicious.

idcwhatcoloritis: This had to be an off night cause the place was interesting. The old arcade games were cool and our waitress did her best with a terrible situation. Two of our three meals were barely warm at best and cold at worst. The other was basically frozen salmon from a grocery store on what looked like Couscous but was actually rice some how. They nuked our food in the microwave and brought it back out. The vegan burger both smelled and tasted like fish. Completely inedible. All in all, the food was terrible all around. The only plus to this experience was the owner who took both meals off our bill and bought us a round of shots to make up for it after there POS system went down. We saw at least 10 plates go back to the kitchen while we were there. I don’t think this is normal cause most of the people there seemed like regulars and were super confused by there food. I think it was an off night but I don’t think any of my group will be returning.

Lisa Mayberry: Cute little place for brunch out of the way in a hotel down New Hampshire Street. Outside patio seating is nice for a cool day with the umbrella up.

Ristorante Piccolo: what do users think?

India Lindsay: Don’t go here - probably the worst restaurant I have tried in DC. It looks so cute, has a bunch of awards posted on windows and menu, and has other good reviews. The Italian food was bland and did not taste fresh. The sauces tasted store bought. Pasta and pizza quality were nothing special. The service was slow and prices were high. I spent $40 on a pasta dish I could have made better at home.

Miguel Curiel: Elegant Italian cuisine. The place is very dreamy and romantic even from its outdoor design, and it’s located in the neighborhood of Georgetown which only adds to this thematic. Everything we ordered was as tasty as can be and it personally won a spot as one of the best Italian places in DC.

Kerry Holt: Nabil served us and gave us excellent service and gave us recommendations on menu choices, we shared a Caesar salad and Risotto with complimentary house bread and dipping olive oil the portion size was great for us followed up with Cappuccino and one dessert to share. Price with generous tip less than $40 a head. Will come back next time when we visit from Australia. Kerry and Rod

Kendall Abell: We loved our waiter Hadi! He gave us the best experience here, ensuring that we loved all our food and drinks. It was my boyfriends birthday and Hadi made sure it was a very special occasion for us!

berkley pelletier: Great date location. Homey wooden interior and a fun upstairs. I want to try it in the summer for the second floor patio. I have on good authority that they serve “The best fettuccini Alfredo I’ve ever had,” and my mushroom ravioli was excellent. I also enjoyed desert. And the appetizers were great too. Pretty much a great date night in Georgetown. 🤠

Elina Valentina Frolova: Felt absolutely humiliated! All tables outside were available, the first manager said we were welcome! However, another manager looked at me and my partner up and down and said that there were no free tables. We asked about the tables outside, were told it’s for walk-ins. However, we were still refused to be seated! We were properly dressed for an exciting dinner date. We travel all over the world very often, and this was the worst attitude we’ve ever experienced!! Avoid!!

Paul Miller: Delicious wine and the fish special was spectacular. Really cool building with excellent outside seating. Nabil was very friendly and really took care of us.

Jeff Wilson: So delighted in the way we were treated!!! Reservation for 9:00pm and seated right away in a romantic private-ish nook in the front room. House bread and dipping sauce is excellent — had 2 servings! The pinot Grigio wine was crisp and light and went perfect with the Rockfish and the Fruti di Mari that we ordered as main courses (see pics). A congenial and polite crowd in the place — busy but not loud! Dessert was EXCELLENT — cannoli and fresh coffee! The waiter decided that the dessert and coffee was on the house— an extra treat. We were serenaded by a violinist who was quite experienced, and was taking requests — Vivaldi and Bach! — see video! The brunch option looks really appealing — see offering flier in the pics. Frankie is the BEST!!!

Chris Wickell: Nabil was an amazing and kind server. The Bolognese lasagna was absolutely delicious and the lobster risotto was fantastic. The complimentary chocolate dessert was much appreciated!

SUCCOTASH: what do users think?

Rachel Murphy: Ordered the taste of the south. The food was overall pretty good, plentiful and the sampler was a nice way to try many things. Full orders at other tables looked very large. Sadly the overall experience was not great and I’d probably not return. A couple small things combined were disappointing. A raw piece of chicken replaced with a piece way over cooked (clearly the kitchen was mad) - we never ever send food back but raw chicken we did. The manager seemed to place blame on us (a lucky chicken vein). I have a shellfish allergy and asked if possible to get a scoop of the grits(without shrimp) just to taste and that was ignored. Wasn’t looking to substitute but it would have been nice (or told not possible if the shrimp was cooked in). Then a 4 top was placed at a table next to us when the restaurant was fairly empty with many open tables in the same server section. In covid times seemed odd. Plenty of brunch places in dc so I’ll try others instead of returning

K R: Succotash kinda sucked…. The atmosphere was great, our waiter Mike was patient and kind and we loved his service! When it came to the food it was disappointing- sticky buns: dry, waffles: hard, hang over special: salty, with gravy on a fried egg instead of the biscuit… why?… If you’re coming for food lower your expectations. If you’re coming to feel sophisticated yet comfy you’re in the right spot. I also noticed the people next to us not finish their food. Worth noting.

Bryan Mroz: Went on a Friday evening. It was full but we had reservations and we were seated quickly. Service was a bit slow but our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. Food was perfect. We had Shrimp and Grits and Catfish. Great ambiance. There was love music mostly soul and jazz.

Vin D Sr.: Amazing menu and a fine meal. Staff was great and we enjoyed the atmosphere! Chicken and waffles outstanding as was the smoked steak! Sides were awesome too! So good we had to take a few orders to go! Highly recommend. Make a rez to secure a table at this hot spot.

Chris Taylor: Amazing space with comfy booths. They had live music which was a nice touch. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was good, I enjoyed some food came as starters. Loved the milk punch cocktail and the honey old fashioned. A good spot.

Taberna del Alabardero: what do users think?

Queli: After being disappointed with DC food, we ran into this gem. Not only was food incredibly delicious, the presentation was amazing and portions were great, and the service was phenomenal. Shoutout to Edgar for bringing me a real spicy spice to accompany my delicious food. He understood what Mexicans need :) Thank you to all the Taberna team for being amazing ! PS- I recommend paella and, sausage and blood sausage tapas !

Eduardo Sevilla: Old school D.C. restaurant, classic service and ambiance serving fine Spanish cuisine that no longer overwhelms you but will satisfy your Iberian peninsula cravings. Tapas for dinner is the way to go, variety and well executed, albeit small portions. Outstanding wine list, only the very best varietals from all the growing regions in Spain. Grilled Bronzino, Chilean sea bass and grouper specials are highlights. Expensive paella options not my favorite.

Rachel U: Reservations for Saturday night, we were warmly greeted and seated. Unfortunately due to the busy night, we were only able to order 1 kind of paella for at least 2 people. So we ordered the lamb and cod. Both were yummy. The squid ink sticky rice was so fun. We ended with complimentary pastries. Live band and dancer were the cherry on top! Such a great experience, we will be back.

David Arrimadas: Amazing restaurant. It is a piece of Spain in Washington. The quality of the food is very high same as the professionalism of all the staff. We really felt at home. It was a great experience for our Spanish family that after five months in US is really missing our country delights. Highly recommended if you want to have a good time and food!

Joshua Russell: Classic DC restaurant that specializes in Spanish cuisine. We were able to get reservations for Sunday night to celebrate a birthday. At time of reservation I mentioned it was birthday celebration. When we arrived, we were greeted quickly and sat. They had a nice, cozy table reserved with a very nice Happy Birthday card written for our special guest! We started out with tortilla de patata, friend manchengo cheese with raspberry sauce and the cherry & mango gazpacho. Everything was superb, the favorite was the cheese with the raspberry sauce. We ordered a chicken and seafood paella to split with everyone. It was spot on with both the texture and taste one would expect from paella. The seafood that came with it were clams, mussels and shrimp. For dessert we ordered the churros with chocolate and the warm cheesecake. Not were very good and just the right size. We were surprised yet again with a very special Happy Birthday plate written in chocolate with some berries, chocolate and cookies. Very good and will look forward to coming back here again soon.

Mark Blanchard: Spain meets Dorothy Draper on the decor, pretty awesome. Food was great, serrano leg sitting in front of you getting sliced. Sadly we got a piece of bone with the serrano. The food was good, and so was the service. We enjoyed the flamenco dance and music around 830pm.

Morgan Niu: I was there for DC restaurant week. They have special menu for us. Food is good but I am a little disappointed. Service is excellent. Live music and dance are impressive. I would like to talk more about the taste of food. I had tuna guacamole tartare, tastes like poke bowl. My husband had blood sausage. Seafood paella is good. Usually it is salty in other restaurant, but not here. However it looks messy in the plate. I shared this paella with my friend. But server didn’t share it equally in out plate. I have more in my plate, it is little awkward. Dessert is caramel flan. Caramel sauce is way too strong. My husband gave it a try, he agreed with me. One drop of the caramel sauce could stay in your mouth for 5 mins. By the end of the dinner. I forget all the taste from previous dish. Only the taste of caramel in my mouth and my brain

Lynelle Nicole: The owners at DCanter Wine Boutique in Capitol Hill recommended this place. It did not disappoint. We had papas bravas, garlic shrimp, and the mixed paella with a bunch of wine. The happy hour section was lively and full of people. The section we were in was quiet and secluded; perfect for a business dinner or confidential conversation. I’d love to come back when they have live music.

Aleyda Villavicencio: We came across this place entirely by luck, but having been in Spain and loving Spanish food like we do, this place didn’t disappoint, and we felt really confident the food had to be good when we walked in and realized many tables were taken by Spanish guests. If you’re in town you have to stop here. Plus they have a lunch menu that’s very affordable!

CIRCA at Foggy Bottom: what do users think?

Kelly Crenshaw: We were going to another spot and one of my group said "what about here" as we came out of metro. They had a large party cancel so we were able to get in. Everything was great. Food was fantastic and we all were happy leaving. The mac and cheese might be there best I have ever had. I been thinking about and I can not remember a better bowl of mac and cheese... it was that good.

Jessica R: We decided to come here on a whim and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We came for more of a late lunch/early dinner and even though we did not have reservations they still were able to seat us. They did have to seat us in their outdoor area, which was a little chilly but perfectly fine. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. The food was great! I got the blackened chicken mango salad and my mom got the barbecue chicken flatbread. Both were very good

Lori Kusterer-Farley: Great dining experience for our family ! Foodie place ! Loved the outdoor tent with heaters. Burger, wings and shrimp salad were amazing! Would definitely return ! Walking distance to a DuPont circle.

Ron Milkowski: Stopped in for a quick drink. Great bartender. Seems like a college crowd. Would definitely be back for dinner. Recommended.

Jessica Morales: This lovely corner is perfect, the menu is not big, but it has a good selection of different options. We had as an appetizer tuna poke nachos, the flavor combination and the fresh tuna was so delicious, and as a entree jambalaya, the spicy was on point and the penne pasta cooked to perfection, my husband ordered a braised short rib, the meat was so tender, the mash potatoes has this smooth texture so perfect. Thank you Michael, great service.

FIG & OLIVE: what do users think?

Yubin Kim: Each plate is contemplated. It is not hard to note the chefs here have a complete understanding of each ingredients used to make their dishes. Every bite was a harmonic perfection. Not to mention the interior and exterior of this restaurant is matched to concept. Had a lovely lunch dining!

Ruben Costa: Beautiful place, nice ambience, good service. The food was delicious and well cooked, nice presentation. Even the drinks were wonderful and everything was full of flavor.

Jonathan French: We decided to try here after reading about it online. The food was delicious and the ambience was just as good. We chose to sit outside because we came without a reservation and the inside wasn’t available. Outside worked well, though because the weather was perfect. I ordered the grilled tuna sandwich and it hit the spot. Seared well and the seasonings complimented the fish. The bread was also nice and crunchy. We also ordered a Mediterranean egg dish…I can’t recall the name but it was also fantastic. The sauce the eggs are in were full of flavor…honestly, it exceeded our expectations. Finally, I ordered the signature cocktail that was nice and cold. Perfect for starting the day… The waitstaff was super friendly and courteous, as well. Really happy with the whole experience. It’s located right in the middle of CityCenterDC. So if you’re in that area, worth stopping by.

Amik Maytesyan: Mac and cheese was super good hundred percent recomend, and the atlantic salmon was amazing, the truffle fries were the best fries we had.

Soraya H: I highly recommend Fig& Olive to DC visitors, service is always consistent. I went for brunch, I liked that the menu wasn’t overwhelming with options. I had the cauliflower salad which was delicious, I ordered a side of salmon because I thought the salad alone wouldn’t be filling - I was wrong, salad was very fulfilling. My partner got the fig & olive burger and said it was great. We had the Spanish octopus as a shared appetizer and it was also very tasty. Speciality cocktails were also a hit.

Riccardo Renna: would suggest to have the host at the entrance to get a bit more organized. The reservation online is used to avoid to have people getting clustered at their arrival, avoiding "traffic jams" at the door. But overall nothing than positive words about the rest

Quenita Simms: The Salmon was decent, but I’ve had better. The environment was pretty mellow. The decor was pretty. Unfortunately, they had mosquitoes and I got bit up pretty bad on the top floor. You can dress up or down. Their cocktails are also pretty good. Especially the lavender one. The service was great as well. Id give it another try.

La Vie: what do users think?

Olivia M. Wilson: I know there’s mixed reviews about this place but I had a great experience. Our waiter took very good care of us and overall enhanced the dining experience. - The food was a 10/10 - The atmosphere and ambiance was amazing. - The view of the water gave it a very elegant vibe towards fine dining. Would definitely recommend for a date night or special occasion

Asim Soofi: Every single dish we ate was absolutely delicious. I would trust the executive chef at La Vie with any meal. There is something completely unique, yet so familiar with the variety of ingredients in each dish that transports you back to reminisce the first time you experienced it, wrapping you in a maternal blanket of bygone home cooked holiday meals. It has the luxury of comfort food with an eclectic mix transported from Mediterranean, Latin America, French, and Italian flair. Blends of sweet and spice came together in each rich bite. Vegetables and meats were perfectly prepared and plated. Fast on the day you go...you will enjoy every bite and leave happy.

Leemu Kufuor: Cute and Instagramable! Make sure you dress up! I enjoyed the food and drinks at La Vie but the customer service left more to be desired. The staff at the front when overwhelmed are not friendly or welcoming and they seem to need more attendants to serve the volume of guests that arrive around dinner. I would go back though, the food is good and the drinks are strong.

yelena antonela: Beautiful place, stuff Is very friendly Igloos is very creative warm and cozy! Food was delicious 😋 I order La Vie Caesar salad , Atlantic salmon and cauliflower couscous, Brussels sprouts it’s was so delicious you can feel so much love that food have 👌🏼🙏🏻 Dessert is yummy my favorite was a custard light and crispy. whole experience was Amazing !!

Kev- keepingitreal: We love the hospitality at La Vie. Our hoist was very generous and attentive, our food was hot, tasty and flavorful. We ordered shrimp, Lamb Chops, Truffle Mac & Cheese, Roasted Chicken with Mashed Potatoes. Underground parking garage is available for a fee.

Tasha Fuller: Overrated. When you pay more you expect more. The ambiance was amazing but the food wasn’t on the same level. The lobster was overcooked and the Risotto lacked flavor, no matter how much salt and pepper I added. The best part of my meal was the French fries and Brussel Sprouts.

Amanda (WhatsDaHype): Beautiful restaurant! The view of the wharf is very pretty on a sunny day. Friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant is pricey but the food and drinks weren’t over the top amazing. I truly appreciated our waiter making sure we enjoyed our meals but the items we got were just good. The presentation of the drinks were nice. We didn’t like the salmon and the waiter exchanged that meal for the lobster ravioli. It was tasty. We also tried the roasted chicken. The combination of all the ingredients was flavorful and hearty. The fried cauliflower was lightly fried but lacked flavor.

Anakaren Cruz: The service is really great and the aesthetic is beyond expectations. The restaurant is on the higher end and pricier side. We spent around $450 for 3 people. I highly recommend the lamb chops and the cotton candy baked Alaska for dessert.

Boss Marius: Mixed feelings about this place, it’s good but I do not think the price is justified. The ambiance is lovely, it’s by the water and the brunch is good, but…You reserve your time slot in advance and still have to wait to be seated. The cost of the brunch if you decide to go for bottomless food and mimosas for two people comes up to $275.

Malbec Boutique Argentine Steakhouse: what do users think?

Lou Costanza: Sat at the outdoor patio on 17th Street. The service was very attentive. Steak was delicious. I really enjoyed my salad which was fresh. They have a nice selection of wines. Since we were at Malbec we ordered a glass of Malbec! Very impressed and will definitely be back

Traveling Clown: Loooved the dressing on the Classic salad. Tomatoes were so fresh and just the right amount of ripeness. Ordered the Parillada and enjoyed the variety meats with the red pepper and chimichurri dressings. Paired with Bornada red wine. Finished with creme brulee.

Belen Webber: Absolutely amazing food!! We had the barbecue for two which has every staple of a traditional Argentinian asado. I have to say that every bite was exquisite, good quality meats, cooked with smoked flavor and seasoned to perfection. We had the crepes and flan for dessert, both were as tasty as the entrée. Would go again on a next trip to Washington DC.

Marcos Zaballa: Great Argentinian food 👌The skirt steak is imported from Argentina and it is an absolute delight.

Steven Ceva: Amazing food but most importantly amazing service by Miguel! We ordered a Patagonia parrilla for two and there was enough food for three!

Kevin Alvey: Going Argentinian. Be sure to try the sweet bread. Delicious!

Jérôme SARRAZIN: Extraordinary meat and wine experience in Dupont Circle. Came once. Came back. Will come again! And service is truly excellent. How many times do you go back to a place and the waiter remembers you, the wine you chose and how you like your meat cooked?

Victor Gomez: Loved the Entraña at this location. When we comeback to DC, this will be a must!!!

Brasserie Beck: what do users think?

Ukiyo: Superb service and an even more super food, which was different than any other food I tried before. My favorite dishes turned out to be the mussels in the white wine sauce and the marinated eggplant. The scallops were really nice too. This restaurant is perfect for a business dinner as it does not get too loud. I would recommend to anyone who wants a nice unique dinner in a peaceful environment.

nivethitha jayaraj: Impeccable service, impressive taste. The menu is just a single side and what they say about restaurants that have small menus is true- almost everything is bound to taste good. I saw just one chef in the open kitchen and he was doing an amazing job on the dishes. Nutella French toast was really light and flavorful French toast with Nutella on the side- heaven! The Belgian waffles were outstanding and barely needed the syrup on the side. Crab cake Benedict was a good size dish- the crab cakes were crisp and the eggs were poached right, but the vinaigrette served on the side salad stole the show. The frites were excellent and there were three aioli choices- the Thai flavored one was yummy!!The egg skillet was great with crisp potatoes, onions and cheese and really good bread. Hot chocolate was decadent and we had a cheesecake dessert- this was not exactly a cheesecake but whatever it was, it was delicious !!

Arash E: Great experience having dinner in a restaurant after 3 months! The patio seating was used, no indoor seating. The servers (as well as the customers!) were a bit confused about the situation and you could not be sure what to expect in the service vs. safety balance. But the food tasted great as always and the hosts did their best.

Erik Johnson: Brasserie Beck was great both times I visited. Happy hour offers a half dozen oysters for $9, and is more than worth it. The beer selection is small but exactly the right beers for the place. A dinner of mussels was more than I could eat after the oysters - the mussels were both large and delicious. Service was a tad slow in the bar on an early Friday evening but very friendly. Will return soon!

Nikolaos Moropoulos: Great food, great atmosphere, great service, good value for money. Do you want more? We had oysters from california, octopus, steak tartare and a salad with smoked salmon. All were of great quality, well prepared and served. The atmpsphere of the brasserie invites you to enjoy the eating and drinking experience. Service is great, the people serving the drinks and the food know their wares and truly help with selections. Finally, the price is right.

Boqueria Dupont: what do users think?

Stefan Tobler: Delicious food, comes out fast, great service. The waitress did a great job recommending items to us and the sangria was delicious! Get out there, go for it, try something new. You won’t regret it at Boqueria!

Ayman Mobin: Came here for the brunch experience and was overall satisfied. The portions for brunch were rather small. The lamb dish that I got was on a small plate as shown in the photo so I had to order another dish because that was not enough. The lamb dish though was delicious as well as my second order of the French toast. The mimosas and sangria as part of the brunch experience were delightful.

Desiree: What an excellent night we spent here. Found this tapas restaurant by chance over a weekend in D.C. The place was crowded with good vibes and service, try and make an appointment to avoid disappointment. Top notch quality food, the tapas were too small a plate like most tapas places. The paella made our night! We brought a bottle of wine, paid $25 corkage fee which was rather reasonable. Will come back for sure! Small down side was waiter put someone else’s items on our check, so go through that before paying!

Chris Ferrari: This is a difficult review to write, and I had a tough time figuring out how many stars to give it factoring in everything going on with Covid. Food: so exquisite, delicious, and fairly priced. Atmosphere: fun, loud, and hip. We were seated quickly and water came fast. This is where it gets tricky. It took about 25 minutes before we were able to order food. This is completely understandable considering it seemed they were short staffed which seems to be the nature of the times we live in. The noise level is quite loud so understand you won’t be having any intimate conversations here. All in all, Boqueria was a wonderful time and I would definitely come back again, I do just hope that wait staff gets more support in the future.

J C: Food was good. Safe bet to take people who are visiting. Not sure if I would go back again soon. Service was good.

Hong Hanh Dinh: Great place for Spanish tapas! The octopus was great, succulent and soft to eat. The croquettes were delicious! I love the fresh olives. The shrimp was so flavorful and amazing with the bread. I love the sangria. Since they gave us the wrong bill, they have us churros as a freebie as a nice gesture. Overall the quality of food was amazing!

Ristorante La Perla of Washington: what do users think?

Alyana McCarthy: I got the minestrone for my appetizer- very flavorful and filling. I also got the chicken parmigiana which was bigger than what I’m used to. It comes with a side of spaghetti. I’m not sure what the dessert was called but it was a chocolate shell filled with gelato and it was absolutely divine. Their selection of wines were nice as well. The chef came out from time to time to ensure guests were enjoying their food and I loved that. We were seated as soon as we got In and they had a full house. Our server was so kind and courteous. Wait time was not bad for food that came out fresh and hot. Would definitely go back.

Samantha Weg: If I could give 0 stars I would! My family and I have been coming here for years. Tonight although, was the worst service we have ever experienced. From the attitude of the hostess and the waiters ignoring us. The “manger” looked like a deer in headlights! He had no clue what he was doing. When we complained to him, he pretended like he didn’t know what we were talking about. My husband had to get the water pitcher from the bar because it has been so long since anyone had refilled our water. We arrived at 6pm and we didn’t get our food until after 8pm! Absolutely disappointing. Don’t waste your money here!

cara zibbell: Went there last night for a reserved birthday celebration. It was awful!!! Vallet service has been discontinued, food was mediocre at best!! Waiter was disorganized with meals coming out at different times. Many items on the menu were not available and waiter seemed annoyed with having to serve a larger table by himself…we were 10 people but had a 5pm reservation with few people in the restaurant! It was an outstanding restaurant in the past, but is no longer.

S.A Qurashi: We had a family dinner this weekend and all 13 people love food! Service was also great! Next time we will have to save room for dessert!! It looked amazing!!

Entertainment honi chaiye: Absolutely amazing! The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. If you are looking for a great place to get Italian food this is it.

Fu G: The food is good, but the service is very problematic. We spent three hours eating dinner because no one here to serve us: 40 minutes waiting to order, after the appetizer, more 40 minutes for the main course, no one asked us if we wanted dessert 40 minutes after the main course. When we asked to the dessert menu, no one took it to us. In addition. The environment is too crowded, and the waiter keeps touching the guests while walking, making it uncomfortable.

Charles-Stephen Laubhouet: I went a while ago with my wife, on a late night escapade! We truly enjoyed it! The food was very good and the wine too! Turned out rich people eat there, the bill was high but the quality matched the price. I would recommend to any Italian food lover! The chef is the best

Catherine Anderson: First the food was definitely NOT worth the price, second the waiter hardly checked on us, we had to get water ourselves, dishes were average at best, two people ordered the same dish and even their pasta/sauce amounts were completely different, calamari was soggy, waiter forgot people’s dishes/sides, and was hard to work with in general. Do not go here
