Bidwell Restaurant: what do users think?

Anthony Stewart: Just okay. Brunch was $70 for two. The mac-n-cheese was a tasteless disappointment. They clearly use the cheapest Gruyère cheese available (if at all), because it tasted like a “just add water” cheese sauce: vapid and uninspired. The fries were overcooked and greasy, but the spinach was really nice. It was spicy and had golden currants, which was a really nice touch. Thankfully, the water was complimentary. Glad I visited, but it’s clearly a “one and done” situation. I wanted to love it; Alas! I did not!

Harland Abraham: Needed a cool, inside spot to eat at Union Market. I was near Bidwell so I tried it. I had Deviled Eggs and a Breakfast Burritto.

Kali Smith: It was okay. Very slow service, only one person working. They told us we couldn't sit in a booth unless we had four people (we had three) despite there only being booths available and no one else in line or expected to come. After waiting 15+ minutes they finally let us sit in the booth. Pizzas are big enough for one person. Thin crust, average taste. Vegetarian options.

Darryl Carter Stevens: Located in the Union Market area in NE DC. This place has a lot to offer. Seating outside was nice and socially distanced. The food was good. Although I didn't care for the pea puree that came with my salmon overall a satisfying meal. The service was really wonderful. Afterwards we went to the rooftop and listened to live music. So lots of after dinner options in the area.

Patrick D: The food and the cocktails were decent. But they were critically understaffed the night I went for dinner. They just kept filling seats and packing the restaurant despite having 2 servers and the manager handling the entire restaurant. The food and cocktails weren’t worth that hassle.

Chiquanna Anderson: The service was extremely slow with almost everything (placing orders, cleaning dishes off of the table, receiving checks, etc.). My girlfriends and I were there for over two hours, and not by choice. We even try to place our drink orders with the bartender for faster service. Bidwell needs more support and I hope they receive it soon.

Jeff Smallwood: Food is creative and delicious, plus the presentation is great, the chef seems to really care about the overall delivery. Staff were very friendly & helpful from hostess to wait staff to bus staff. The prices were pretty good given the location and quality, a touch high but in line with what you might expect. The fried oysters (photo included) were amazing, and the bright green pea soup was so fresh tasting it was stunning. Cocktails were also unique and yummy. Definitely recommend and we'll go back for sure. Plus the Union Market seems like a great place to be.

Nathan LaJoye: I'd give them 0 stars if I could. We tried to go here for dinner while visiting the DC area. Put our name down for a table. And the lady who took our names for a call list and clearly didn't care, she kept jumping over to sit down at her friends table, while other patrons stood around at the desk waiting for her to return (take out food order sat there with the person at the desk for ten minutes while the waitress was at her friends table). We waited a half hour when told it would be ten minutes. And then people who came in after got seated before us (they didn't reserve ahead, they also had to wait). A table for two was open for about ten minutes as well before someone was brought over to it ahead of us. We finally just gave up on them. Ridiculous and unprofessional service, no plans on trying again later in our trip. I cannot recommend this place because of the terrible service, food looks good but you're not treated well.

Yasmine Saibou: Great food! I got the patty melt burger and it was delicious! Cooked at a perfect medium rare. The fries were a bit over cooked tho. My friend had the lobster taco which she loved, you get two and their rolled up like a mini burrito. But $25 for bottomless mimosas, I’ll pass.

JAMES BRYANT: Great place to "People watch" and have a great meal

Sequoia DC: what do users think?

Ashley Emtcheu: The food is delicious, the place is decorated beautiful with Christmas decorations besides its classy and upscale look. Wasn't able to try a drink I was recommended to try by the server but overall great experience. Place is located in a great location which is great if your wanting to get great photos with friends/family. Parking Garage is 2 minutes away in walking distance to this restaurant which is very convenient. 👍🏾

Zuleirys Santana Rodriguez: Amazing customer service! The outdoor dining is just soo extremely gorgeous, spacious and clean in every way. You have a lovely view of the water, the Sweden Embassy, and just the river! The food was just next level, specially the octopus that was cooked to perfection and I will certainly have it again when I come back to bring my boyfriend.

IamJoedie S: This was my first time and the experience was awesome. We came for a birthday dinner. A party of 12 arriving at 5 PM on a Sunday. We had two servers they were on top of everything. There was never a moment a glass was empty. Food service was quick hot and absolutely delicious. I had the steak was absolutely surprise when the potato came out with macaroni and cheese…must order if, no when you come. If you’re looking for a sexy restaurant to have a brunch, lunch and or dinner this is definitely the spot it overlooks the water great date spot. I will definitely come back again. Next time for the brunch. I hear that it is phenomenal. Come. Eat. Drink. Enjoy!

jen w: I gave this 3 stars because of a couple reasons first we had a reservation Saturday at 1:30 pm for their tapas brunch. They were super slow getting our food to us at the beginning. We ordered two rounds of food before the waitress came back and told us it was last call. We were barely there an hour. There is a 2 hour limit, I feel that if they have reservations till a certain hour they should allow the two hour minimum for people. It’s 64.95 per person they aren’t doing a favor for anyone. Next we chose to sit inside and it was obnoxiously loud. There was a group of people that were talking and screaming to each other, while I’m glad they were having a good time management should have asked them to simmer down because all the rest of us could to was watch them because u couldn’t talk for the noise. Having said all that, the food was very good. We opted for Bellinis and Mimosas. They were very good. The waiters walked around with carafes of Champagne and refilled you. My glass never got empty. I would go back here but make an earlier reservation and in cooler weather where I could it on the patio so I don’t have to deal with the noise.

Renee McCracken: Mother's Day Brunch at Sequoia has now become our new tradition. The food was excellently prepared and the service was outstanding. The entertainment was a great addition to our experience. I did have one hiccup during our time there but it was promptly handled and it was like it never happened. I love Sequoia and will definitely recommend and return.

Vy H.: Came here recently Saturday night for a private holiday event—had a great time! The restaurant is huge and beautifully decorated to fit the Christmas/Holiday theme. We had open bar—they have a huge selection of liquor! Food was decent—the hors d'oeuvres were delicious, the main dishes were just okay. Staff are all pretty friendly. There’s a coat check room downstairs when you enter, and an elevator if you don’t want to walk up all the stairs.

John Varkey: We came for an anniversary dinner. The hostesses were a bit surly and disinterested but our waiter was great. The views are fabulous. My wife had the crab cakes and I had the lobster scampi. They were both fabulous but according to my wife the lobster had the edge. We went for a nice stroll along the water and around Georgetown after dinner. A very nice evening was had.

Kat B: Loved this place so much. My partner and I came here for our anniversary, not only was the view beautiful but the energy/service of the staff was amazing . The food was spectacular, definitely get the burrata if they have it ! We were pretty full but still made room for dessert and an espresso which was also delicious . Definitely recommend for a date night/ celebration . Prices were in line with the portions/ambiance .

Crystal Sings: Beautiful simply Beautiful 💜My daughter and I brought my mom to last Saturday’s brunch for her 80th birthday and we really enjoyed the service, food, and ambiance of the restaurant. George, our waiter was awesome and made our experience so memorable! Thank you George!

elizabeth rose: Visiting from florida and this restaurant was highly recommended by locals and im delighted i took their advice! The atmosphere was great, very inviting and scenic, indoor and outdoor seating offered with a nice view of the river. food was really good and exceeded expectations and the server Dominique went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our experience :)

Logan Tavern: what do users think?

Nomad USA: Super chill neighborhood tavern. The host there is generally pretentious and cold. I’ve had this issue getting seated at the LT in the past. Their hosts is is far from friendly as is imaginable. Even with the place completely empty, getting a booth probably requires a some type of cash payoff. The servers are super chill and helpful. Menu is great. Wide variety of appetizers and entrees. I had the BBQ Korean wings and the LT burger with truffle fries. The LT burger was just a buck more, truffle fries 2 bucks more, all super tasty and perfect medium rare. They have little alcove by the bar, great for people watching, and the requisite long bar for a casual lunch or dinner. Bathroom. 6/10 for cleanliness.

Kiffa Shirley: Wanted to try something new and made our way to Logan Tavern over the weekend. We ordered the empanada appetizer, and the figgy burger with truffle and B.A.B Grilled Cheese. Everything was delicious but I may have overdone my taste buds with the truffle. They were tasty fries but next time I will just get to enjoy the burger with regular fries. Can't wait to return.

Matthew Cook: Very good food. Plenty of menu variety so everyone should be able to find something. Including some decent vegetarian dishes. Good cocktail and beer selection. Extremely friendly staff and very efficient.

Hong Hanh Dinh: Amazing service here. Our waitress was very sweet and friendly, giving us all the best recommendations and attentive to our needs. The food was amazing. I loved the steak and eggs, it wasn't an aggressive portion but the right sized to be full and comfortable without the discomfort and regret afterwards that you've over eaten. The bloody Marys were awesome! They offer different kinds of bloody Marys and you can choose which topping you'd like. There is also a huge boot sized bloody Mary but i went for an easy individual size. The dessert options are so great. I love the Mango key lime pie which I think is the restaurant favorite. Would come back again and again!

Jay Vizcarra: LGBTQ+ friendly with great eats! I had one of the famous cheeseburgers on the menu which was super tasty. Usually hopping with great people eating there. Centrally located with a pleasant neighborhood walk surrounded by other places to eat in the area.

Darnice Ward: Logan Tavern was a great choice for an after graduation celebration. None of us had ever been to Logan Tavern as we are from out of state. In our party of 14 only 2 of our party members were from the area, and they had never been either. The did not have a table on Open Table to seat all of us so I reserved several tables and hoped they could seat us near one another. I called and talked to someone who said they would and they OVER delivered and seated us together!!! Our food was delicious and each person was happy with their selection. Although the menu is not extensive it has something for everyone. We had everything from wings, burgers, dip, salad and seafood pasta. Drinks were tasty and the alcohol in them was of average amount. Our waiter. He got every order correct and was consistent with checking on us. He brought found out in a timely fashion and waited for me because I was sitting between both tables. He seemed to have another big party as well. However, the only thing is that he seemed slightly annoyed NOT rude just bothered. We would definitely return again if back in the area. Right now it is tough to service the public so I understand our waiter may have been overwhelmed, please be kind to our service workers.

John G: Logan Tavern, an old favorite over the years, haven’t frequented there as much as I used to. However, I’ve stopped in recently for the greatest drinks made by bartender John. Logan has a great fried chicken classic, with wonderful homemade mashed potatoes and generally Swiss chard… I prefer the asparagus, though, so make sure you ask if you want something different. Chipotle chicken sandwich is wonderful as well, and more recently, I have fallen in love with the pulled pork barbecue sandwich, minus the bun… and a couple extra pickle slices! Bartender John is fantastic at getting your order right, your food tasty, even while I subtract a few calories with a few changes! Thanks John for keeping Logan, local, lovely, and (de)licious!

Patty Cannon: Excellent food & service! The chef came out to meet us and to be certain we were happy! Such a wonderful adventure for us! A large group of 10 and there were several couples enjoying dinner around us...as well as bar seating. Excellent choice for dinner!

courtney mims: Nice place but parking can be a challenge. My husband loved the burger and my sister enjoyed the asparagus salad. The garlic and parmesan fries are yummy but I wasn't a fan of the Buffalo shrimp. It was swimming in sauce and too rich with the blue cheese added. The drinks are good and we love that it is pet-friendly.

Michele R McConnell: We had a great experience. I have a food sensitivity / allergies and they were very accommodating. Aubry was a fabulous server and kept up with our drinks and food. The chef came out and discussed food options for myself and delivered!

Firefly: what do users think?

Sadhana G: Went to this beautiful place for brunch on a Sunday. The food was a whole new level of excitement! Presentation and quality of the food and the good ambience set the right tone for the weekend. But the only setback was the price. We had an Egg frittata, chicken and waffles and Egg Benedict-crab ( the chef special) and it cost us 70$. A great place to grab finger food in a cute setting !

Garner Marshall: Excellent breakfast spot. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Parking is pretty scarce around the area. Staff is excellent. Good is delicious. Music is diverse. Location is convenient. This is going to be one of my new favorite breakfast spots.

Steven Power: Wonderful location and the food is pretty good. The prices are very high. Brunch for two with no drinks besides one cup of black coffee was $50 for one order of French Toast, one Avocado Toast, and a side of fruit. The service was good overall, but one small thing annoyed me somewhat. We were there for Saturday brunch so I ordered a cup of black coffee right when the waitress first came over. The coffee, which they charged $5 for, finally came a minute before our food. I drank it quickly, thinking that for $5 for a tiny cup, a refill would be in order. No such luck. I don't know if asking for a refill would have taken another 20 minutes and cost another $5, but at that point in the meal, I didn't bother. Overall, a solid 5-stars. The location and ambiance outside are really great.

Mariia Sarlayan: Wonderful food, amazing service, beautiful interior, pleasant vibe. A bit pricey for brunch but worth it. I wish more tables outside had umbrellas for shades but even then the experience was memorable.
Response: Mariia, We are definitely wowwed by your amazing review and grateful for your comments. I hope we'll see you again soon, for another memorable experience! Please be safe and well until then. Sincerely, Anastasiia Firefly General Manager

Kim S: The food, service, and ambiance were excellent! My only disappointment was that they weren't open for dinner Sundays because we were looking forward to going back.

Linden Yee: Solid brunch, overall recommend. The eggs on the benedict were pretty undercooked but the flavors were good, and the chicken and waffles were really well seasoned. Service was pretty slow, and the staff seemed to be up against a lot. While the waiter was great, they appeared to be the only one working the entire restaurant.

Khadija Khan: The restaurant has changed a lot since the last time I was here! Really friendly staff and nice ambiance! My favorite was the peanut butter and jelly French toast with the jalapeño honey! It’s an Interesting combo but I really liked it. Our server recommended a really yummy mocktail! The food was a little pricey so I’m not sure if I’ll be visiting again any time soon, but the dishes were innovative and delicious.
Response: Khadija, Thank you for the great review and the photos you shared from your recent visit at Firefly. Love to hear the our food and service left a great impression. I do hope you'll come abck again soon. Warmest Regards, Anastasiia, General Manager, Firefly

idcwhatcoloritis: This had to be an off night cause the place was interesting. The old arcade games were cool and our waitress did her best with a terrible situation. Two of our three meals were barely warm at best and cold at worst. The other was basically frozen salmon from a grocery store on what looked like Couscous but was actually rice some how. They nuked our food in the microwave and brought it back out. The vegan burger both smelled and tasted like fish. Completely inedible. All in all, the food was terrible all around. The only plus to this experience was the owner who took both meals off our bill and bought us a round of shots to make up for it after there POS system went down. We saw at least 10 plates go back to the kitchen while we were there. I don’t think this is normal cause most of the people there seemed like regulars and were super confused by there food. I think it was an off night but I don’t think any of my group will be returning.
Response: Greetings, Thank you for your feedback I just would like to double check, is this review for Firefly Restaurant located at 1310 New Hampshire Ave NW Washington DC. We don’t have old arcade games at our restaurant. Thank you Anastasiia Hehelska Restaurant GM

Lisa Mayberry: Cute little place for brunch out of the way in a hotel down New Hampshire Street. Outside patio seating is nice for a cool day with the umbrella up.
Response: Lisa, Thank you for your recent visit to Firefly and the excellent review. We could not agree more, the Terrace is a great place to relax, people watch and enjoy one (or two) of our amazing cocktails. Please come back soon! Sincerely, Anastasiia Firefly General Manager

S P: Everything about this restaurant Amazing and I mean everything! I went once and I can't stop going back I tell everyone to go best chicken and waffles I have ever had! Drink and beautiful and delicious

Ben's Next Door: what do users think?

E Gilbert: My best friend came into town and we want to do something fun so we went to Ben Next Door we had a ball. The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious 😋. The music selection was on point to match the unlimited mimosas that came in 3 types cranberry, pineapple, or orange juice. I will definitely be visiting again soon. The only thing I did not like were the bathrooms they were not being kept up at all I went to the two located towards the back and the back of the toilet was missing from one hopefully this will be fixed. But there was toilet paper, running water, and soap so I was good. I definitely recommend checking out the brunch here.

Philip Wilson: This spot has been a neighborhood staple for more than a decade.. and the only thing consistent - is their inconsistency. I came back today after taking a 5/6 month break and I'm underwhelmed. The new decor is blue and black, which almost never does well in a space that's designed to be a restaurant. Blue is an appetite killer. And with the new pallette, they've done away with the amazing local art that used to adorn the walls. The new calamari blend came out burnt and chewy.. I couldn't eat it. The new chicken tender coating is great. I wasn't excited about paying 20 for a cocktail, but that seems to be the price point for their top shelf spirit. Looks like I'll be on another 6 month hiatus.

Aaron Wilson, Jr.: Brought the family here during our trip to D.C. and glad we came! I was wary when the Uber pulled up and I felt the club vibes pulsating out of the front door...we had the progeny with us. (Side note...I would have hated to try to find parking. Uber or walk if you can.) Hostess took us through the front, by the bar, past the open area of seats and up the stairs to a loft area that was away from the bar and had another family sitting there as well. Our waitress came and apologized for the wait in getting to us (it wasn't THAT long but the gesture was appreciated). She was friendly and very responsive, even jovial with the kids. Our food came correctly and without delay...and maaaaan was it good! Collectively, we had the chicken and waffles, grits, quesadilla and cheese fries. There's always a concern when having chicken and waffles because chicken breast can be dry depending on who cooks them...Ben hooked it up. Benny was moist. Benny was juicy. Benny was what we call...delectable. Topped it all off with the cheesecake and the bread pudding....zero complaints all around. Definitely returning when we come back to DC.

Makeda Fox: The food was sooo good !! I got the shrimp and grits, along with the bread pudding for dessert. Very flavorful, the vibe was amazing. Our waiter Kash was very entertaining, attentive and funny. BEST waiter EVER. 10/10 I recommend!!

JENNii: Good spot for a casual Sunday brunch with friends. It’s right next to the famous ben’s chili bowl on U street. They food and service was good as well. I would definitely come back to this restaurant.

Toshia Brown: Very nice vibe, excellent food, no mambo sauce or cornbread muffins but the kale was so scrumptious and tender; seasoned to perfection

Bryanna Edwards: Ronnie is my boy! I met him my first time and fell in love. But then came when he was off and I regret it. But anyway the food is amazing and I love Ronnie's service! He is the best! This is my go to for my "mom date" every Friday early happy hour. Will keep coming back!!!

Gaelle Claude: The service may be a bit slow but their food is pretty good. I tried their burger and it was amazing! The picture may seem basic but it was bomb! I’ve been there on occasions where I ordered the chicken and waffle, which I would rate 7/10 because the chicken is a bit salty. I loved the cocktail I ordered I believe it’s called a chi-chi colada.. amazing! 10/10. The fish and grits is pretty good, I would rate it 8/10. My friend says the salmon meal was decent but she didn’t enjoy the sugar on her sweet potato fries. Due to slow service over all experience is 7/10

Josephs Boy: I really enjoyed this place & the owner was really nice. I enjoyed the history of the restaurant that was shared. I sat outside it was live but I enjoyed it. The Jerk Pasta was delicious and the mambo wings were the perfect appetizer (u can always tell when people take pride in what they serve). I will definitely be back my next trip to DC.

ajia brown: Ate brunch here and the food and atmosphere was perfect. Black owned restaurant filled with lots of people the line is always LONG

The Lafayette: what do users think?

Laura Xu Chen: Second time back in DC for a weekend and we are in Hay Adams again after 10 years. The food never disappoints and in fact everything was superb! Rack of lamb and Crab gnocchi were excellent. You have to order the soufflé! The ambiance was fine dining yet the wait staff are so warm and pleasant! We stayed for a 3 hour dinner and it was a beautiful and elegant experience

Adam Galazka: Amazing restaurant located in the Hay Adams hotel. Reservations were done via Google and confirmed by the restaurant a couple days in advance. Table was ready 45 minutes in advance. Their customer service from initial greeting through the whole dinner was amazing. Very good wine menu and you also have a cocktail menu as well. We tried a mushroom soup and octopus for appetizers. Ordered chicken breast and bronzini for main course. For our dessert we had creme Brule. Everything was amazing and tasty. We will definitely come back.

波。真秀ᶘ oᴥoᶅ: We went to the Lafayette for breakfast. Our waiter, Emmanuel, was extremely friendly, humorous and attentive. The French Toast came with hot maple syrup and the Lafayette Eggs Royale were accompanied by hollandaise sauce, which blended well with the rich salmon and eggs.

Shawni McGraw: We decided on this restaurant to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary because of the spectacular views and ambience. When we found out that the view we were seeking was not available, the manager went above and beyond to get a private tour of just that view. He wanted our day to be special and he did just that. The food was fabulous and everyone is so customer focused. The mood was romantic with the live piano player and decor. I highly recommend this restaurant for your special day.

CRPARK LLC: Fine dining at its best. After graduation dinner with great down town DC vibe. Service was superior and the environment, on point.

Jenovie Yoka: The food was really good and tasty. The prices are also fair but I did not like the service at all. Furthermore, it was simply awful! The servers that had us that night( a man and a lady) were just not professional and welcoming at all. The were working like they were forced to take care of us. We reserved the private room for a special occasion (my sister engagement) and those two servers made us have a very bad experience. Especially the lady when it can to the moment to pay the restaurant bill. In the other hand the meals and the drinks were simply amazing!

Michael O'Reilly: **FUTURE VISITORS: THEY NO LONGER DO ROOFTOP DINING** This is a fantastic restaurant in a fantastic hotel, but they no longer do anything on the roof. The roof is now reserved for events and such, which is truly disappointing. What’s the point in going anymore? The ambience of the restaurant is nice, but not nice enough to justify going. The food is great, but there are better, cheaper options throughout DC. It is all fairly expensive as well, and for what? One of the main reasons to go was for the wonderful view, but if I no longer have access to that, then the Lafayette is no longer a #1 choice.

Stacy: Good but too expensive. The servers were all so friendly and helpful. It was unbelievably fancy. You are clearly paying for the experience.

Eduardo Rukos: Beautiful & very well executed French inspired menu with a lot of highlights. The staff was amazing and the desserts are pieces of art.

Mark Blanchard: Hands down the most beautiful venue in DC (at least when it was up on the top floor through the pandemic). Great food, great view from the top floor, and friendly staff.

Robert's Restaurant: what do users think?

Tori Lorvig: Nothing outwardly wrong, although the food is certainly outshined by the decor. Their salads are their strength, the soup was a bit bland and the ravioli had powdered rather than grated parmesan. The bread is delicious, but served with cold butter. The fruit tarte is nice, although the serving is enormous.

Simon Bodner: Can I give it 0 stars!?! If you notice the red goop on my glass, when I noticed it, I told the waiter, and he said "oh they just take a glass and don't check" I ordered an arugula salad that was old and the romano cheese was almost ready to be thrown out. My wife ordered 1/2 chicken with mushrooms and greens, which were all greasy. All in all, a really nasty experience.

Tom Kunsman: Bit overpriced menu. Special request was not fulfilled, and was given incorrect bill st dinner. The space is incredible

Scott Orr: The dining room is pretty, and the food was unobjectionable (though not particularly great), but our service was awful. First, the restaurant had no booster seats, only a high chair--which was not really what my 3-year-old needed. It worked out OK, but you rarely see a restaurant nowadays that doesn't offer both high chairs and booster seats. Another black mark in the kid-friendly department was the mini-hamburgers on the children's menu: the buns were miniature, but the patties were simply one full-sized patty cut into halves, which didn't really fit the buns. Our server forgot to take drink orders for my son and me (the other adults were drinking wine already by that point); the hostess came by and got milk for my son, but when I asked about a drink for me, she told me the server would take my drink order, and when I noted he hadn't actually done so, and asked her to ask him about it, she ignored me. For the impression I got, she might as well have said, "It's not my job." The server did finally take my order 15 minutes or so later, but after that, he didn't offer to refill either my son's milk or my soft drink until the meal was nearly over. And all of this while the restaurant was nearly deserted--so it's not like the staff was overwhelmed. As we were about to leave, I needed to change my son's diaper, and discovered no changing station in the first (small, unisex) restroom I found. I asked the hotel concierge where I could change him, and he gave me directions to the men's room...and as I was trying to process those, he added "You're welcome," seemingly indicating that I should have said "Thank you" already. In any case, thanks would have been undeserved, because the restroom lacked anywhere to change a diaper. Indeed, my wife then discovered that the women's room lacked a changing stand as well, though at least there was a couch she could use.

Savannah Slone: My mom and I ate here while staying in Omni. We approached the host stand and weren’t greeted, so we weren’t sure if we were supposed to seat ourselves. We picked up a menu to see what they had, then we were approached by a male server who asked if we needed a table. We told him yes, so he took the menus from us and sat us. Nice area, very pretty, there’s an option to sit outside as well. We were given water and a few minutes to figure out what we wanted. After a little bit, he came back and took our order. About 10-15 mins later our food was brought out by different server. We ate, it was pretty good. Then we sat for about 10-15 minutes after finishing out food until we could track the new server down for our check. Overall not a good experience, service was bad. We were never greeted, or simply told hello. The first server was rude and disappeared and we never saw him again. The second server was again rude, not personable at all. She never asked us how our meal was or anything. Food was good but wouldn’t go back. For such a nice hotel, I would expect better service.

Ruthanne Sweeney: We were in Washington, D.C. in April 2017 and stayed at the Omni Shoreham. Robert's breakfast buffet was fabulous - omelets made to order, great variety of baked goods, pancakes & waffles, just about anything you could want. For dinner, the herb crusted rack lamb was the best I have ever had and the portion size was more than generous. Caesar salad was fresh and good size. I did not realize that what I thought was going to be mashed potatoes, were actually pureed potatoes, but other than that everything else was delicious. My granddaughter had the steak, which was cooked exactly as requested, so that's what I ordered the 2nd evening we dined at Robert's. Servers were very accommodating.

Ryan Wegman: The staff is very courteous and the Federalist setting, as a historically protected landmark for DC, really stands out when you have the chance to sit in the dining room and take in the frescoes and surrounding touches. Salmon salad nicois was delicious! Brunch is a whole other experience you must try!

Michael Pack: For upscale dining they need training. The duck confit was a thigh and leg finished in oven? This is just wrong, should have been breast and not re heated and might as well been chicken it was so mild. The filet was completely under seasoned. These are basics and unforgivable. Our waitress didn't say a word that we could hear and then stood ten feet away the whole meal and stared at us. Prices were fine if the food was up to par. I imagine from other reviews that breakfast was the way to go but wouldn't risk another bad experience.

Nizar Farsakh: A gorgeous space with an antique feel to it. Beautiful tables and wall paintings, but the food is hit-and-miss. The first time I ate there it was exquisite the second time it was pretty bad. And that was within 2 days

Alayna Poe: Amazing food, elegant atmosphere, pricey but worth it

Old Ebbitt Grill: what do users think?

Natalia Mednikov: There are straightforward American-style food. This restaurant is best known for its huge old-school oyster bar—think lots of dark wood, brass fixtures, and big mirrors. That oysters was fantastic and fresh. We’ve enjoyed also cheese sampler, fried calamari and baked oysters. Everything they do is absolutely delicious. The service was very fast and friendly. We were happy to choose this great restaurant to end our busy day in Washington, D.C.

Tiberiu Hrihorciuc: Loved the experience! Tasted a dozen oysters and each one was more delicious than the other. Wine is very fairly priced. Saw it more expensive in some New York wine discount stores. The fish was such a huge portion when they split it in two plates we told them that we did not order 2 plates but to our surprise that was a full plate. If you get a chance to go to happy hours for oysters don't hesitate!
Response: Thank you, Tiberiu!

Aditya Karandikar: Had an awesome time here as a late night/ early next day stop. The food was quite nice and fairly refined, especially at such a late hour! The atmosphere was popping as well which made it more enjoyable. Service was very friendly and they had great oysters. Fresh complimentary bread never hurts either…

Sam M: This place is one of the more famous restaurants in DC. I visited this spot during brunch and it was packed. I would definitely recommend making a reservation for both weekend dinner and brunch services. I started with New England clam chowder and some salad dish. For entrees, I got eggs benedict and catfish. All the dishes I ordered were pretty good. But, I definitely enjoyed their desserts more even though I was pretty full before it. Their key lime pie and salted caramel bread pudding were both amazing! Staffs were very accommodating and attentive during the whole service. I’m planning to visit this restaurant and will get some oysters and burgers next time. I heard they are pretty good. I definitely recommend this place to celebrate any special occasions.

Suzi Figueroa: Wow, wow and wow! A friend recommended this establishment to me when I asked for dining recommendations for my upcoming DC trip. I am so glad I listened. The warm and inviting ambiance matched the service. And the food? Oh my goodness. Delicious. My SO ordered meatloaf. Who knew meatloaf could take on a such an extraordinary presentation.
Response: Suzi, Thank you for visiting Old Ebbitt Grill and leaving a great review! We're happy to hear that you enjoyed your experience and we hope to have you back again the next time you're in town.

Mary H: What a DC institution. I've been here numerous times taking "out of town" guests but always failed to write a review... This place is busy and crowded... so make a reservation. Service is attentive and friendly. Try to get a seat in the atrium, much nicer and brighter. *turkey club-generous portions of turkey. It was good and the fries were nice and hot. *salad greens- tasty, I wanted something light. *calamari-nice and crispy. They have a good selection on their menu, we just weren't that hungry. It's kinda the place to go when you visit DC.
Response: Thank you, Mary!

Amy Workman: If you're worried that this a nice place turned tourist trap that cuts corners, worry not. We had a fantastic experience and the food was superb. Our server was in his 9th year here and I wished he could've just sat and talked with us all night. They were wonderfully accommodating and welcoming of our kids, which you definitely can't say about a lot of places. Some places know that if the kids are happy the parents are more than happy to get another round and more dishes. And then when we're sans-kids someday, we'll definitely be back to sit at one of the beautiful bars. We had the walrus raw bar which was perfect for us never having had raw oysters. They did a little of each kind they had that night and I had no idea oysters could taste so different. We had the mussels, kids mac and cheese, and sausage pasta dish. The pasta was house made and the sauce creamy and spicy. So good. After dinner we walked it off around the White House. I've spent much more at restaurants and not gotten half as much food or nearly as good as service, so even though it was our most expensive meal in DC it was also our best value. Definitely a must-go in DC.

Elaine Viegas: AMAZING! There is no other word to describe it. Since we arrived until we paid the service was perfect. I couldn’t be more happy for their food, service and kindness on my birthdays lunch. We didn’t mention that it was my birthday but they saw on my profile and as soon as I arrived they asked to confirm and no only brought my desert with a candle and a cute chocolate happy birthday place on the top. Our server was amazing, she arrived singing happy birthday, was very classy and really surprised me. Thank you for the excellence in your service. BTW the food it’s top quality, my oysters and shrimps were fresh abs really tasteful.

Jelena M: Great food, great price, great service! The waiter we had was so nice, knowledgeable, and friendly! The calamari was very good, but watch out for the spicy peppers in it . My salad was yummy! I usually never order salads, but I am glad I did as the dressing was citrusy and refreshing! They also give warm bread and butter while you wait 😍
Response: Jelena, Thank you for stopping by Old Ebbitt Grill and leaving a great review! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your experience and look forward to having you back again soon!

Matthew Hanna: This was a pretty cool place to eat. It is so old but very nice inside. Lots of preserved animals I didn't expect to see like sea turtles, walrus and more. The food was great and I really liked the drinks. You can still visit and get a really good burger and fries for like $18 or you can go all out and pay $100+ for a super delicious entree. Either way the alcohol is good.

The Visiteur: what do users think?

Anthony: Only open from 5pm-10pm during Covid times. Nice big screen TV, strong drinks and good food. Good atmosphere and good service!

Walter Wilson: Very nice, very clean.

Paula Bothwell: My husband and I had a late dinner at The Visiteur and very much enjoyed our meals. My husband had Steak Frites--his steak was very tender and the chimichurri sauce was perfect. I had the Baby Candied Striped Beet Salad--the presentation was lovely, especially the visual contrast between the locally sourced goat cheese medallions and the different types of beets. I also had the sweet potato jalapeño bites. The sprinkling of salt and salty bacon, mixed with the sweet of the potatoes and the speck of jalapeño hit all the best flavors. There was a lot of food. Neither of us were able to finish our meals. Our server was very attentive, but not overly so. He kept an eye on us and stayed out of the way, but was there when we needed him. Our check out was quick and painless. I found the prices to be very reasonable, especially for the obvious quality of the food. I guess the weirdest thing about this restaurant is that it cannot seem to decide if it's a big loud crazy bar or a nice, sit down, have-a-quiet-date place. There's a loud, huge screen TV right in the middle of things--Loud Bar: +1 There is also nice out-of-the-way seating--Quiet Date: +1. The strangest part about the restaurant is that it's in a big, open area, so if your buddy is checking into the hotel across the big room, you can look over and ask him to join you. The food is great, the service is great, and the restaurant meets socializing needs, regardless of what they might be. I'd definitely go back.

J Snider: Come here and get Sam to make you his old fashioned, one of the best ones I have had in the city. They also have fantastic food. It is a pleasant surprise to end up at a hotel with good food and drinks.

Amber Gadeken-Long: Had the best service I have had in years. very respectable server Named Alex Bright light of the place.

James Curd: Cozy environment 😌 very welcoming.

Luis Campos: Menu does not match online menu. Food was not the best

Lincoln: what do users think?

byron subero: This restaurant was great! The maitre d was very nice and informative about the restaurant and the art work. Food was delicious and the drinks was amazing. The peach moonshine was fantastic. Definitely need to go back to try their brunch.
Response: Hello Byron, Sorry for the delay but thank you so much for your review. Be Well, Alan Proprietor

Amanda Long: We stopped for dinner because it was close by, but it was a wonderful experience. We had 2 appetizers and 3 entrées, and loved all of it. The steak was perfectly cooked, and we couldn't have asked for better service (thanks Karen!). We'll be sure to come back next time we're in the area!
Response: Hi Amanda, Thanks for the great review. We are lucky to have customers like you. Appreciatively, Alan Owner

Klara Cheung: Downtown DC and there's there's street parking around. Cute little place, masks are required indoors but there's a cute outdoor sitting area. For those who get a lot of mosquito bites, make sure you spray up before you go! Good service and great food. We ordered the House Cut Fries which came with 4 different sauces which were all very good. Fries were also very good and well seasoned. I ordered the Cornmeal Fried Softshell Crab Bahn MI Sandwich. The Crab was a great size and really crispy and the Bahn mi was very flavorful. I ordered the Gettysburg Cooler for a drink which was very refreshing. Definitely recommend it here!

Faith Mitchell: Enjoyed brunch at Lincoln yesterday morning. Loved the vibes as the restaurant is cute and they play good music. It is very clean and I felt comfortable enjoying a meal here. The menu had a lot of options and $50 for bottomless mimosas and food is a great deal. Definitely had some unique flavor combinations that we surprisingly enjoyed. The service was a bit slow as we waited for awhile to be served and didn’t get checked on as much as we would have liked. However, everyone was nice including the manager and, when we did get a server, we were well taken care of. Would go back.
Response: Hi Faith, Thank you for your review. We appreciate your business and hope to see you soon. Kindly, Alan Owner Lincoln Restaurant

Gina S: Cool place to visit due to it being linked to the historical figuer Honest Abe. Small space, a bit of a wait, but the menu offers good southern/homestyle food. I wasn't wowed, but my appetite was satisfied.

Mikayla Ramirez: Nice atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Great food. Decent price.

Nonie Fields: My friend and I stopped by the Lincoln yesterday for lunch. The food was amazing and the ambiance and decor was aesthetically pleasing. Our server Brandy took great care of us she made our experience a million times better. I definitely will be back to try the dinner & brunch menu!
Response: Hi Nonie, Thank you so much for your review. We appreciate you dining with us. Kindly, Alan Owner

Bobby A: Got there for "Happy Hour". They have a wonderful appetizer selection as well as wines, beers, and cocktails. We enjoyed glasses of wine, beer. And a couple of scotches! The deli platter was good as was the fish taco. The romaine ceaser was really tops! Excellent waiter though they were busy. We sat outside but the inside is very nice. Also, clean restroom. Will come back.
Response: Hello Bobby, Thank you for the kind review and your business. Appreciatively, Alan Owner

Madison Garcia: I went to Lincoln last Sunday for their Pride brunch with a group of girlfriends and had such a fun time! The bartender, Nico, served us and gave us the best experience. The drinks were great and he was so fun and friendly. The food was delicious and the service made our time there even better. I will definitely be going back soon!
Response: Hello Madison, Thank you for the kind review. I will pass it along to Nico. I appreciate your support. Appreciatively, Alan

Patrick Baber: Delicious brunch and incredible staff. Highly recommend. Cool vibe and decor as well.
Response: Hello Patrick, Thank you for your kind review. We greatly appreciate your business. Respectfully, Alan Owner

The Occidental: what do users think?

Al Ectric: Everything is really excellent about this location: the service, the decor, the history, you name it, just top notch. However, the food 🥘 with all honesty was average. The quality, taste, an flavor were okay with both the half chicken platter and the salmon platter we ordered. Not worth the price. They were cooked/served without salt and I don’t care what secret recipe you have, if you don’t use salt when you cook, might as well head to the nearest senior living buffet (no offense). But hey, I guess you’re only there for a piece of history and service.

Hilda Kroll: A nice, quiet place to have lunch and a challenge to remember the names of the famous people whose portraits are hanging everywhere. The short rib grilled cheese sandwich had lots of tender meat and was oozing with cheddar and Bel paese cheese. What made it unique and special was the radicchio-citrus marmalade. Reasonably priced with great service thanks to Chanel.
Response: Hilda, giving our guests a five-star experience is something that with continually strive for. Thank you for dining with us and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

antoinette rodney: Food was good. Pleasantly surprised by the cornbread. I was expecting the usual starter bread. The cornbread was served in an iron skillet so it stayed warm longer! I had the pasta special which was pasta made on site with lobster and clams. It was not heavy at all! I also had the Occidental salad which was also light and good. Normally with a meal this size I walk out of the restaurant feeling like I had a ton of bricks in my stomach because I was so full but not here. Decor is interesting. Many pictures on the walls of influential people in Washington. Waiter was attentive!
Response: Thank you for taking the time to share feedback on your recent dining experience at Occidental Grill & Seafood. Our staff works incredibly hard to ensure our guests have the best dining experience. We hope to see you back very soon.

Khoi Nguyen: Came here for lunch with some coworkers. We had some oysters, angus burger, crab cake sandwich and the fried green tomato BLT. Everything here was delicious. Oysters were so good we had to order another dozen. The burgers and sandwiches are a must order. The crunch from the thick cut bacon and fried tomato in the BLT was definitely the highlight. The crab sandwich was cooked perfectly and the added water crest added some great texture. This is a great place to people watch. The outside patio is perfect when the sun is out. Food and ambience here is great. If you want seafood and American food this is one of the best spots around the mall.
Response: Your review of The Occidental is flattering. Thank you for the kind feedback and recommendation.

Raquel Gitch: The atmosphere is great. We enjoyed looking at the photos and guessing who everyone was. All 6 of us enjoyed delicious meals, we tried everyone's plates and my halibut was the winner then the truffle fries were a close second.
Response: Raquel, thank you for such a wonderful review. Nothing pleases us more than to hear that our guests thoroughly enjoyed their dining experience. We look forward to welcoming you back soon for another 5-star meal.

YT White: My team visited for lunch during DC Restaurant Week, the food at the Occidental was really good and we all had something different. The best part of our visit was the service, hands down Ashley is one of the best servers in the area!! Her knowledge of wines (and their appropriate glasses) really scored big with me. She was patient answering our many questions about the menu items and remained kind even when overwhelmed by the group's excitement and enthusiasm. The entire team of servers were professional and etiquette and they all helped to create a wonderful team outing. I look forward to another opportunity to dine here soon. 🍴
Response: Thank you for dining with us and for your great review. We understand that you have many choices here in Washington, and are thrilled you chose to dine with us.

Andy Ho: Slight bit of wait but that's alright. Restaurant is split into two sections, one formal dining and the other the bar. Stopped at the bar side and ordered wine. Has a decent wine selection and the price is ok. Portion for the ahi tuna was a little too small. Burger was fine but by then was too full to finish the whole plate.

Liam Amiri: Great location, very nice staff and a very peaceful place. But the food wasn't that great. I ordered the Amish chicken sandwich and it was a very average gas station kinda club sandwich :) for real! My friend ordered the Salmon and he wasn't very happy either... I hope they work on the food taste and quality cause this restaurant is a beautiful place.

Janine Beatty: The food and ambiance was great. I sat outside on a beautiful day. The service was ok, but not as attentive as I would expect from this type of restaurant. The waitress assumed I wasn't going to order because I asked if happy hour food was served at tables. She also passed me multiple times to check on other tables. I wouldn't say she was rude, just didn't seem to think I needed the same level of service.
Response: Thank you for choosing to dine at Occidental and for sharing your feedback. It saddens us tremendously to learn of the shortcomings you experienced during your recent visit. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration that resulted from this experience. We are committed to giving quality service to all our guests, and in this instance we indeed failed to execute that to the standards we wish you and all our guests to experience. We hope that you will visit us again and that we can redeem your faith in Occidental Grill & Seafood.

Karen L: We took advantage of restaurant week to revisit an old friend, the Occidental. The food is still great. The seating arrangement does not crowd the room and allows for conversation. We enjoyed all the dishes we had as they were interesting and well done. Will definitely put the Occidental back on the list for lunch rotations given our pleasant dining experience. If the ice cream cookie sandwich is on the menu, get it! the cookie was fab! (My fantastic Grilled Point Judith Calamari Salad is pictured: Beet Yogurt, Barley Chips, Apricot -Harissa Coulis, Summer Mixed Greens, Shaved Daikon Radish)
Response: Thank you for dining with us and for your great review. We understand that you have many choices here in Washington, and are thrilled you chose to dine with us.

Tabard Inn Restaurant: what do users think?

Laura Fries: Part of the quirky Tabard hotel, the restaurant is cute and intimate. We only had breakfast and while somewhat reasonable for the area, it did not blow my socks off. The menu is small and strange. A lot of people seem to love the brunch, probably out of the novelty of the place. According to the menu, it said it makes the scones daily, but mine was definitely not fresh and was microwaved. Husband had the spinach omelette, which he said was fine. The cappuccino was okay. I really wish they would step it up in the kitchen. Such as cute place. Service was okay.

Min Li Fu: While the outdoor seating area is really cute, the food and service are mediocre. The fried chicken of Chicken and Churro Waffles was dry, even for a chicken thigh. The waffle was okay too. The Eggs Benedict was also just okay and not exciting. The donuts and scones were also just okay. Maybe we came at a bad time?

Mark Blanchard: Very cute and cozy space, and service was good. We also loved sitting by the fireplace and sipping on a drink. Couple issues though: (1) food was average at best - pancakes were crispy (overcooked) and the scone was super dry, we almost choked - reminded me of a Curb your enthusiasm episode. (2) the hostesses have absolutely no idea what they're doing. We walked in at 12:30 pm and they told us the wait is 45 minutes. It didn't look too busy. So I pulled up my phone, made a 12:30 reservation on the spot and pretended I had "forgotten" we had a reservation. They walked us right in. There were also reservations at 12:45 and 1pm. Not sure why they told us we had to wait 45 minutes. The hostesses are literally turning people away although there are tables ready.

Katherine Cummings: Brunch with my wife here was delicious! The espresso, the coffee, and the eggs Benedict were all delicious. The place has a very warm European homey vibe and I would definitely recommend it!!

Nicholas Tappa: This is a really interesting restaurant. The wood paneling and whimsical decor seem like you’ve stepped through the looking glass into a set from The Batman movies. Our dinner was superb including a stupendous 3- dip and chips selection, haddock served over a luscious broccoli risotto, and gorgeous duck breast with charred green onions. Good dinner service and a highly courteous staff. Would highly recommend!!

Toshia Brown: Food was so delicious 😋; atmosphere was on point #GoodVibes

Karen Freker: Atmosphere, fresh prepared, mimosas after 10am, maybe we'll go back for. Cocktails.

James Nelson: Excellent! Steak was cooked exactly as I ordered it. Chef came to my table to even ask about my experience. Best NY strip I have ever had(And I not a fan of NY strip). Eggs with cream cheese and chives was excellent, cooked to perfection as well as the potatoes. If you are there for breakfast or brunch the donuts are a must! Would definitely come back here, wish I had more time to try some of the other dishes.

Arash Tavakoli: Welcoming staff and warm atmosphere. If you go there definitely try their donuts!

A.N Vasquez: A D.C. gem. Loved every detail and space in this quiet and unassuming inn.We reserved a time for a late weekday breakfast while staying in the neighborhood. The service was kind and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious.

Clyde's of Gallery Place: what do users think?

Rodney Ibrahim: We were from out of town and decided to catch a hockey game. Unfortunately it didn't occur to us that finding a place to eat before the game would be so hard. We walked into Clydes and it was mobbed. At least an hour wait and we had 2 young children. However the manager on duty saw our struggle and managed to seat us right away. Amazing customer service and I'd give 5 stars just for that! Food was delicious and service was top notch. Go here.

L. H.: great!!! loved it here, our server was so sweet!! great menu for selection and everything was so fresh, highly recommend the oysters rockefeller!! the patty melt is just amazing, it’s like fancy comfort food - perfect for a cold day. fish tacos are also great, portion sizing is on the smaller side, but still fantastic.
Response: Thank you so much!

Ebone Cruz (The Entrepreneur Plug): Where do I start. I swear this place reminded me of Cheers! Literally down to earth bar tender, wish I could remember her name. I ordered the fish tacos and they were seasoned to perfection. The beans and rice weren't the best so I'd suggest fries as your side but you be the judge. Inexpensive stop for a quick lunch the bar and conveniently located from several hotels in the area. Stop by check it out and if you're not a fish person try the chicken combo 1 I think it is.
Response: Thank you so much, Ebone!

Paris H: My friends and I had an okay experience. Our waiter was cool. Our food was good. My only complaint would be the host. Apparently she gave my friends a hard time about the reservation and had a nasty attitude with them. As a waitress myself, hosts are the first people guests communicate with. If their first encounter is greeted with rudeness, that bitterness follows the remainder of their time spent at your establishment.
Response: Thank you for your feedback and review, Paris. We hope to see you again soon!

Sasha Lee: Not bad for a first time visit. I like the overall setup of the place. The food was alright. I had a jumbo shrimp cocktail which was really good for my appetizer then a Reuben sandwich with fries for the entrée. The sandwich was a little dry but it was decent.

Saad Noaman: Great food and amazing service. I had one of my best meals in Washington DC. Atmosphere was amazing. Highly recommend the Nachos, Burger, chicken wings and crab dip.
Response: Thank you so much, Saad!

Monica Fair: 2 stars. Staff seemed to be running away, from the young lady who tried to seat me in the dirtiest seats in the place. The server also ran off, when we asked him for ketchup. Actually Ran.. the food was not a full course meal. Sausage in the Rigatoni was salty. Meal came with no sides or bread. Double crab cake came with tatter tots no veggies. Chef should be ashamed of himself for letting this come out of his kitchen. For the price at this restaurant the seats should not look like this. I do recommend the nachos we're amazing the rest. S.M.H...

Mike Loewenthal: Always a wonderful meal and great service. Excellent late night menu with entrees available instead of typical deep fried bar food.

Emily Smith: Wonderful experience here! We had a large party and there were very accommodating. The no kick kentucky mule was delicious and the steak was phenomenal. Awesome server and great atmosphere. Check it out!

Safiya Parker: Had a reservation Thursday at 3p before an event at the arena. The service was quick since we got there before most of the crowd. The food was okay and got the job done.

Unconventional Diner: what do users think?

Zeyu Hu: Went to Unconventional Diner for both brunch and dinner and let me tell you they didn’t disappoint at all. Brunch: Got three different items to share for brunch, and each was unique in its own way but complimented each other so well. The shrimp and grits were perfect. The BBQ shrimp had an amazing smokey smell which really made it stand out. The biscuits were also amazing, nice and crispy and the house made sausage was great. The blueberry pancakes were the fluffiest I’ve ever had, a great sweet treat to end the meal. Dinner: Came back for dinner a week later and it blew me out of the water again. As the name suggests, the menu has a large variety and when the waiter tells you you can’t go wrong with anything, they ain’t lying. We got such a variety of food - from French to southern, Chinese stir fry to Cuban. It just all works so well. Bottom line: A must visit if you are in DC. The best wait staff and service. But remember to book ahead!

Claire Mizutani: Went out to dinner with my family and a friend from school. Great food! I really enjoyed the mezze and the Mac n cheese. Speedy service and great labeling on the menu for those with dietary restrictions. I wish that the outdoor seating area had heaters but now that the weather is getting warmer that may be less of an issue

Christopher Guarin: Was in town to check out the Cherry Blossom Festival. We made a point to stop in for some brunch before walking all over town. We were definitely not disappointed. Everything we tried was delicious! From the drinks, to the Everything Lox, and Chicken and Waffles....every bite was amazing. We will be back for more on our next trip!

Eric Lee: Got the cheeseburger and fried chicken. Both were phenomenal. Simple dishes but everything was cooked and seasoned so well. Price for these dishes were affordable. Great vibe as well, pretty large space. Will be back to try more!

Queen Melissa: Wonderful for family outing , a date and friends brunch. Everything was outstanding. The cleanliness was good. The customer service and server was really nice. My kids loved everything and they are usually picky eaters. This was my first time eating shrimps and grits all I can say it was amazing. Overall,we were a satisfied family and will be back again.

Ben Multak: Unconventional diner dishes but delicious flavors. Everything I’ve tried here has hit and the restaurant itself is a well oiled machine. Highly recommend if you find yourself in the area. Really enjoyed the Crab Fritters and Fried Chicken

Sirius Fidelity: This was one of my favorite food places on my trip. The place was a pretty good size, clean, and bright. There also appeared to be outside dining as well. I ordered the kid size portion of the Blueberry Lavender Pancakes as pictured, and the Shrimp and Grits. Nothing short of amazing. Prices were reasonable and the portion sizes good. I highly recommend this place.

Christal Young: I love a place that has vegan as well as non-vegan options. This place was so good, I came back two days in a row. Their kale nachos were just superb and their cauliflower salad with falafel was also delicious and filling. The colors and ambiance are also nicely done. There are several dining spaces, including indoor and outside seating, each with its own vibe.

ReCreate Artworks: I found this gem about a 20 minute walk north of the mall. I cannot recommend it enough. There was plenty of seats, the staff was quick and efficient, and the restaurant itself was stunning. It makes you feel luxurious without having the price tag that usually comes with it. It’s very affordable but the quality of food is beyond the price. I got a double shot of espresso and the Brussel Sprouts with Fried Egg. 10/10.

Chunhee Hong: We had buttermilk pancake, corned beef hash, cappuccino and rise & shine. All delicious! The customer service and server were really nice. Overall,we were satisfied and will be back again to try other menu!

The Carolina Kitchen Bar & Grill: what do users think?

hilda jay: A friend that lives in MARYLAND recommended this place to us while visiting. It did not disappoint us. The service was great. The food was Awesomely Good. The restaurant was clean and the servers wore plastic gloves as they served us our very huge portions of food. It was also my husband bday and they sang him a happy birthday song. Everything about our first visit here was on point. We will definitely be back again.

Steffon Greatness: GHETTO but the food is GREAT There was a wait because they were busy and seemingly understaffed. The waiting area is right by the kitchen… ❗️BAD DECISION❗️ I hear one waitress talk about how she wants to (blank) somebody up & she doesn’t have time for the (redacted). Another waitress spills a cup of sweet tea coming out of the kitchen and most of the staff walk right by it. One waiter who noticed decided to pick up and move all the ice out of the way of traffic. I referred to him as the super waiter. I wish we had him. Short light skinned and loud. He needs to train the rest of the staff. He was engaging with his tables and very warm. A pregnant woman gets there and possibly got bad take out service and literally tried to start a fight and broke a vase. It took them 15mins to get the Asian lady to clean that up. some of the glass broke in the area of a new born. I guess the aforementioned lady does all the cleaning since she was the same one who cleaned the sweet tea from earlier and now the vase and latter cleaned off our table. We had a rather sizable party, our waiter starts by letting us know that the bill can ONLY be split 3 ways. Also never gave us the first time welcome other tables got. 🥗🥓 The Food That cornbread with cinnamon based and butter. Addictive. Mac & Cheese is okay for franchise mac & cheese. Yams were on the money. Crab meat was fresh salmon was perfect shrimp were nice and everything was seasoned to perfection. My plate was called the Carolina Salmon. Sweet Tea is southern and the hostess was very nice. Once the food came out not one complain and not one unhappy person with their meal. Even a few to go containers. Peach cobbler was 3 out of 5. (It was given to me to go as asked but I think it was semi frozen)

S: This place is absolutely amazing! Juan was the best server I ever had! His customer service skills are definitely top tier! His service makes me want to come back! The food is spectacular and the cornbread melts in your mouth!!! Thank you for everything Juan!

Letetia Thompson: It was ok! Some good and some "not so good". Everything looks good..but taste..ehhhh.. I had short ribs..they were tough and drowning in BBQ sauce...that didn't have a good flavor AT ALL... the mac and cheese was decent. I had candied yams...they had way too much nutmeg...almost bitter as opposed to sweet. Now the catfish appetizers was bomb! Great flavor, and fried to perfection! My husband had the fried chicken meal...good flavor too...he had gravy on the side... the gravy was bland as well. The appetizer wings were flavorless too..and tasted like cooked in old grease..I would try it again. But wasn't really impressed.

Justine Hall: While visiting DC a friend of mine told me I had to try the food at Carolina kitchen. Food was good, I can't say the same for the service. We got take out and had to keep asking for some the food we orderd over and over again. Some items we wanted to try we just let it go because they were such in a rush, they weren't really paying attention, other than that food was good.

MoreEverything Today: Great atmosphere, staff was hot and cold. My order helper was amazing! My cashier was blah. Food was damnnnnnn good til I found a hair in my potato Salad😩 my experience overall was good.

Melissa F Pierce: Love this location. Food was delicious. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Much larger location. Nice atmosphere.

Yoradyl Benitez: Had a Sunday lunch here and the food was great. The portion was huge. The complimentary corn bread was so delicious. It was the most delicious cornbread muffin I have ever had!

albert Sams: Horrible customer service and food. We arrived and was told there was a 25 minute wait. After 25 minutes wait, i asked the manager why was it a 25 minute wait when there was only 2 tables occupied. His response was all the waiters quit. A waiter came pass and heard the conversation and requested we be put in his section. After being seated we ordered meals and asked for dark meat on the fried chicken order. White meat was brought to the table. The manager apologized and corrected the meat but the food was horrible. The greens were tough, the potatoe salad tasted like the refrigerator and the chicken was over seasoned. The waiter never came back to the table. I then got up and tried to get a drink. The cashier was very irritated and tried to charge more money after i explained that he never came back. Later the waiter returned and asked were things were okay. I explained to him the servive was horrible and so was the food. He looked as if he was surprised and then explained and confess it eas was under new management. I already felt that when we arrived but i gave it a chance. This was a place for some acceptable soul food. I tipped him and said yall must be better. I wont be allowing my company to do any holiday dinners here anymore until its better. I wont be returning anytime soon. I almost forgot to mention as we left, people outside smoking that loud that smacked us straight in the face. In addition folks were there begging for money when we walked in the door. DC location was hideous...

Jana Melrose: This food is amazing! We visited on the weekend and it was very busy and had a long wait but once we got the food, it was worth it!

RPM Italian: what do users think?

Sandeep Wilkhu: Excellent experienceWe sat in the bar because we did not have reservations. But our waitress Addison was so very excellent she made it an excellent experience. I would go back to the bar seating.

Charli Knows How To Eat: A very good friend of mine treated me to this very fancy dining experience. It was so amazing. I would recommend this restaurant for special events or celebrations. It is quite expensive however the service is great and the food is even better. I convinced my date that I’d like my own steak however I did not know they give you such large portions which is a first to see in a upscale restaurant like this. Nonetheless it was so tender and evenly cooked I ate every single piece !

raymond burgos: The service and hospitality are on par with the best in the world with amiable and capable staff. The presentation and food are excellent. The decor is well-suited to a high-end establishment and will make you break into a smile as soon as you walk in. The portions are good, not more significant portions - this is a tasting restaurant. Quality over quantity!

Kyana Shelton: Ambiance was stunning. Very classy and modern I love the simplicity of the place. Valet is cash only! Bread for the table was delicious. I ordered the shrimp scampi and my boyfriend ordered the chicken parmesan both a 10/10. My shrimp scampi was a small portion but besides that I had no complaints and actually left feeling pretty full. Can't remember the name of the wine I had but I believe our waiter said it had a hint of oyster. Overall, amazing experience with a sophisticated look I will be back!

Des KF: My boyfriend and I had reservations for this restaurant for my birthday. When we arrived we walked in and was greeted by the hostess and she sat us. The tables were super close to one another which was the only downfall. Tim was our waiter and he was so nice and attentive. We started with drinks and I got the Spritz and Giggles, it was weak but it was tasty. For my entrée I got the king crab with squid ink pasta and that was good. My boyfriend got the shrimp scampi pasta and he really enjoyed it. Tim gave us a cheesecake because we waited for a while to get drinks and that was so nice and it was so tasty. I also slid in that it was my birthday and he gave me a small, cute dessert to sing happy birthday. I really enjoyed my time, the ambiance was great and so was the food and service.

Lin Dinh: dim, upbeat ambiance with upscale cocktails— perfect spot for a bourgeois night out. plates were tapas size but the perfect portions. the mushroom pizza was by far the best pizza I’ve ever had. the short ribs were also superb. love it here!

MADDART: It was my first time dining here. I ordered a New York strip which was about 16 ounces.(a lot bigger than I expected from an upscale restaurant. It was cooked perfectly and had lots of flavor. The server was a bit forgetful about a couple requests I had made for pepper and silverware. I had to ask several times. Other than that the setting was great and I enjoyed my time there.

H. Ibdah: Amazing service. Amazing food. Amazing atmosphere. We went there to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The waiter was theatrically impressive. The food was outstanding. We tried many dishes, I only took a photo of the main courses. I highly recommend the octopus for a starter. For the main we had the lobster pasta, meatballs, steak and side dishes. Great for romantic dinners and for outing with friends.

john Dickerson: Reservation required, proof of covid vaccination with ID valet available $20. Service was outstanding John was our waiter, and he did a great job everything was swift and on time. The food was delicious, for appetizers we Truffled Garlic Bread Parmigiano-reggiano, 1/2 dozen half Shell oyster, truffle and parmesan cheese pizza, Big Eye Tuna Bruschetta Basil Aioli garlic toast, the main was Lobster Fra DiavolobCalabrian chili & tomato and Short Rib Bolognese Pappardelle, Rosemary. For dessert we had Tiramisu Whipped mascarpone & coffee.

Imani: The decor was nice. We liked our dishes but were not a fan of how soft the meatballs were. The plates were also small. We started off with a spritz for our drinks but sent it back because it was very sweet. We ordered a Paloma instead which was very delicious. The reasons for the star decrease was the hostess. We asked if we could move our table and she tried to explain the seating arrangements but made a condescending remark by saying “does that make sense” with a slight attitude which was very noticeable by the both of us.

Le Diplomate: what do users think?

Thang Phu: Highly recommended! We stopped by for a late afternoon food one day and was amazed at how fantastic the food is. It was all so good, especially their desserts. I have travelled to multiple regions in France and I can attest the food here tastes the closest to food in France. They even have a wine carafe on the menu, just like France. I wished I lived near here so I could go treat myself now and then.
Response: Thank you for such a complimentary review, Thang. We’re excited that you found our food and service to be five-star worthy. We are looking forward to welcoming you back in the near future at Le Diplomate.

mike wittenburg: Five Stars for the food and the atmosphere. Visited on a busy Saturday evening and got a table without a reservation, amazing. So much seating available. Indoor and outdoor seating. Went with a couple of friends and the drinks and food were fabulous. Tuna dish is a small serving. Trout was great and the muscles were awesome. Apple dessert and vanilla creme brulee delicious. Definitely a popular spot. And the bread... So much bread... Good variety of bread to choose from. Enjoy!
Response: mike, we’re pleased to know you had a great experience at Le Diplomate. We look forward to hosting you again soon. Feel free to follow us @lediplomatedc to keep in touch on Instagram!

Cindy Yang: Service: 3/5 Food: 4/5 Got a reservation and got seated immediately. We were running late and was trying to call but they don't answer phone calls. Fortunately our table was kept with a grace period. Recommend warm shrimp salad (the shrimp is very fresh), steak, escargot, and the duck. French onion soup is a must. We also ordered fries with added truffle but the truffle is flavorless so strongly recommend against adding it the entree.
Response: Thank you so much for the feedback, Cindy. We are always looking to improve and greatly appreciate the 4-stars. We hope we can earn that extra star on your next visit!

Daae Katsicoyannis: The meal was incredible. I recommend going with friends and sharing everything. The service was also impeccable. You can tell that all ingredients at this restaurant are fresh and of excellent quality. It’s rare to find such an approachable restaurant of this league. I would recommend to anyone.
Response: Daae, we’re pleased to know you had a great experience at Le Diplomate. We look forward to hosting you again soon. Feel free to follow us @lediplomatedc to keep in touch on Instagram!

brian perkins: Loved this place for a few reasons. Let’s start with the bread. Why can’t all restaurants serve great, fresh, delicious bread? Because it’s not easy. I pictured the empty escargot plate because after dipping the bread in the garlic sauce it was game over. Add onion soup, superb steak frites, profiteroles to die for and you have a neighborhood gem. Not to mention the wait staff gives treats to dogs being walked by the restaurants. How great is that?!
Response: Thank you for such a complimentary review, brian. We’re excited that you found our food and service to be five-star worthy. We are looking forward to welcoming you back in the near future at Le Diplomate.

Rob: The food and ambiance are always great. However, on multiple occasions, I’ve felt that the service is not what you’d expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Last time I felt a bit rushed and the service, while attentive, was curt. When our entrees arrived, a waiter couldn’t fully reach to place my friend’s plate in front of him. Rather then walk around the table (there was space), the waiter placed it on the table and gave the plate a quick flick of the wrist to push it over. It’s a small example but I think captures a similar sentiment seen in other reviews about the service.
Response: Rob, we're happy to know you had a positive experience at Le Diplomate and appreciate your feedback on how we can improve. Hopefully, we have another opportunity to serve you in the future so we can earn that last star!

Karissa Warren: Had an awesome food experience on New Years! Was a little disappointed they didn’t have their usual pastry assortment but every single item we got was delicious!! We really came for the pastries and croissants but were blown away by the food! If you want an authentic French croissant, they’ve got you covered! We will definitely be back!
Response: Karissa, 5-star experiences are what we strive for day in and day out here at Le Diplomate. Thank you for the great feedback and we'll hopefully see you again soon!

Dee Ketterman: We’ve eaten here twice and love the food and decor. The feel of the restaurant more resembles an upscale bar with delicious food, as most people are standing and drinking rather than eating. I’d like to try sitting at the bar because I think it’d be a better experience to fit the atmosphere over a low table with people standing all around. The mushroom tart is fantastic and the French onion soup is the best I’ve ever had! The service was dressed appropriately but less attentive than expected, most likely because of how busy it seems to get. Regardless, I really like the food and hope to visit again soon.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to share feedback on your recent visit to Le Diplomate, Dee. Our staff works incredibly hard to ensure our guests have the best dining experience. We hope to see you back very soon and to earn that extra star!

Heivi Herne: They call themselves a Spanish restaurant. The interior is nice. Restaurant is spacious. There are different rooms with tables. There are also tables to sit outside. The service wasn't not very fast. I ordered one cocktail. It wasn't very good. The funny thing was that they brought bread, bread and margarine as a snack. I have been to Spain a lot of times and eaten there. There is no such snack there. I think that this place is overpriced

Bibiana Oe: Very cute upscale dining experience! The waiter had many recommendations that were appealing. The bread with the butter is amazing! Ordered assorted oysters, mushroom tart, beef bourguignon, mussels and frites, and the profiteroles. Loved everything and it was good portions! Recommend for a lovely cozy dining in experience since the bar and inside of the restaurant is super unique!
Response: We're happy to know you had a positive experience at Le Diplomate and appreciate your feedback on how we can improve. Hopefully, we have another opportunity to serve you in the future so we can earn that last star!

THE GRILL: what do users think?

Charli Knows How To Eat: There was a bit of a wait so if you plan on going here I would call ahead of time. The atmosphere is really intimate and relaxed with dim lighting. perfect for a date. They have a great menu selection. My date and I ordered their meal for two to split which included 5 courses; bread with soup, a salad, an appetizer sampler, a dinner plate and desert. The muscles were amazing in the wine sauce they had! And all of the food I tried was excellent. I didn’t much care for the candied bacon or the food that had dates in it.

Ozzie Angrish - REALTOR: What a wonderful surprise 😮! The location is great, the food was good, and the service was excellent. The restrooms were very clean! You can choose to eat by the water or inside. You must have a reservation I believe. The reason for the 4 🌟 s is because I was brought vegan options instead of being handed a menu to choose options. After, I explained my concern, the service was excellent! I would definitely attend again. 😌 FYI: Ride the metro, bus, uber, or a scooter because parking is horrible.

K Wilson: The best thing about this restaurant is the Wharf location however with so many options in close proximity I Highly Recommend That You STAY AWAY! I made an reservation yet when I arrived at the confirmed time I had to wait although it was not busy here. The hostess walked me to the table and was quite confused about where I was to sit. Here no here sorry here. This wasn’t a good way to start the evening. We sat and waited for over thirty minutes to have a server offer us water. The strange thing was it was not busy. Yet I watched the servers play on their phones and socialize among themselves without even noticing my table. Nonetheless the evening service continued to decline and the food was simply bland and cold. First off we ordered the calamari and shrimp cocktail. The shrimp smelled old while the cocktail sauce was slightly sweet. The calamari was covered in layers of sauce which wasn’t good. The only time food is covered in sauces is when it is hiding something. The scallops were just okay but once again served with a pureed mountain of undercooked vegetables and sauce explosion. The halibut was served on a bed of cold risotto. What a waste of time and calories. To say this was disappointing would be a compliment.

SassyKay TheBoss: Nice outdoor seating the devil eggs were very delicious! I got the grilled chicken it was very moist and juicy, but it was lacking flavor not seasoned at all. Other than that the restaurant was amazing!!

Brit R: Was in town for leisure and was unable to make it to another reservation. Booked on Open Table here and got there early. We were allowed to sit at the bar and order drinks and appetizers first before reservation outdoor. The drinks and food were absolutely delicious! We had the Grill Punch, Strawberry Bellini, bread basket, fresh Oysters, and the steak and egg meal on the Sunday Brunch menu. The Chimichurri is some of the best ive ever had! We wanted to try to pineapple upside down dessert but they were out, a really nice family next to us that were celebrating their Anniversary was so gracious to let us taste from their platter! Our server Justin was amazing! He knew the menu well and made great suggestions. The noise level was very moderate. The restaurant is spic and span. The service was fast. The front house was moving through and making sure everything was operating smoothly. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone i know visiting DC and i will be making a must stop for future visits as well!

Tahirah Khabir: I had my birthday dinner here with my Besties. I love seafood and had never been here before. The ambiance was super cute. I love the water and outside dining. But the food was just meh. For the price I expected WOW! Now don't get me wrong. My crancake was good. Just good. Flavor and not alot of breading so that was good. The sweet potato side was Amazing. The pistachio on top took me there. Ceasar was a ceasar. The crab dip..NOPE. Not it. They also have a "lobster pie" ..meh...I may be back for the good drinks or not. Depends. ...Either way dinner and drinks with my girls was just what I needed and you guys provided the best atmosphere for it.

Kristen Darby: This is one of the best dinners that we have had in a while y’all should check it out. Steaks are delicious and cooked perfectly. And they have a kids menu. The service is great! Our server was amazing and the manager Jojo checked in with us throughout our meal. We are here for 4 days and will likely return

Mir Ra: The Grill DC is a vibe! Aesthetically pleasing, dim lighting, moderate noise level, the ambiance is rather sexy. Good place to go for date night whether solo (the bar is nice), with your bestie, or your boo 😉. The bathroom is a nice place to flick it up for the gram. It does get busy so reservations are recommended especially on the weekends. The cocktail menu looked good but personally I'm a whisky girl so I was shocked and delighted that they had Suntory Toki (one of my faves; Japanese whisky). My girlfriend had a cocktail called The Last Word (not on the menu) and she raved about it. Shout out to our server Tay for the recommendation 'cause she's picky as hell. Now the food! First of all the menu has quite a few options but what we got did not disappoint. We ordered the Mixed Grill for two at $65pp and with that we each had a Ceasar salad with anchovies (there are only two on the salad but it gave it nice flavor), then we got to sample all of the bites (appetizers) which included bacon wrapped dates, spicy lamb skewers with tzatziki sauce, deviled eggs with duck liver mousse and caviar, and grilled cheese bites dusted with honey and pistachio. OMG! Soooo good. For the main course we shared the surf and turf, ribeye steak with bordelaise and chimichurri sauces on the side (you can pick whatever sauce you'd like), shrimp, crabcakes, pimento Mac and cheese (it was cheesy af but I'm not a huge fan of pimento cheese but what little I ate was good; just wouldn't order it again) and for dessert we got the grilled pineapple upside down cake. Whew! The portions were perfect in size and I love that they sliced the steak for you making it easier to plate. I can't wait to go back and try other menu items. 😋 There is a parking garage next door to the restaurant off Main Street and no they do not validate. 5 🌟 's either way.

Kirsten Greenwell: Husband and I came here because we had gift cards to the company that owns The Grill and it greatly exceeded our expectations! We got the mixed grill set menu and were blown away. The ribeye with grilled shrimp and crab cakes was incredible, and the chocolate cake is one of the best we’ve ever had. The only weak spot was the Moroccan lamb skewers on the appetizer platter that were too cinnamon-y. It’s definitely expensive but well worth it for a special occasion!

Yessenia C: Delicious. Everything I tried was spectacular. It is expensive but worth it. My favorite part of the meal was the sweet potatoes. You MUST try them.

Georgia Brown's: what do users think?

Nicholas Stephens: Had a wonderful Mother's Day dinner here. A party of 8, we were seated in the back by the kitchen. Ambiance was vibrant, music selection was great throughout the night and our server was very attentive. Got the fried snapper fish, came with a full body fried fish! Skin was crispy and flavorful, and the meat was tender. Rice and side salad came with the dish, provided good balance. My partner tried the Carolina Gumbo, to her liking! Will definitely return for date night or just a nice random dinner outing. Enjoy!

Warman Hall: This may be one of the funnest times I've ever had dinning out while out of town! The restaurant is beautiful and they've done a great job of decorations. The menu is an interesting and varied offering based on Southern soul food and New Orleans cuisine. I was able to join a large group of people and the restaurant was able to accommodate us wonderfully. The live music was also fantastic. I highly recommend the chicken fried steak!

Drea Dawson: The food was decent. The atmosphere was nice, with the exception of the large homeless area across the street which is very sad. However, it deterred us from sitting out side. Service was horrible. The restaurant was pretty much empty and still took 30minutes to make our meals. The server rarely checked on us. The bread was cold and super dry. The drinks were really good. Parking was of course horrible in the location it is placed. The valet is $20 cash only, the man was nice enough to let me cashapp him. The worse part is that they added Gratuity of 20% to a table of 2 people. It's like they forget that people earn tips not demand them. The prices of the food is too expensive honestly for what you get. I hope they are paying all of their staff extremely well outside of tips with the cost of everything and automatically adding Gratuity. I was going to tip the young lady well anyway, due to being a server in college, but the auto Gratuity that she said is their policy total turned me off from the place. For Salmon, spinach, fries, and fried green tomatoes it was roughly $88. Yes you read that correctly. I will say the salmon was large and Cooked well.

Florence: Georgia, oh Georgia! Scrumptious Southern fare. With a last-minute reservation, I came here on a Tuesday night with 6 other people (2 children) and we were seated right away. Service was extremely friendly and fast. I highly recommend the Appetizer Sampler which is good for 4-6 people or 2 people as a decent meal. While every item was great, the standout, hands-down were the Devils on Horseback (bacon-wrapped dates, goat cheese, and oil and vinegar). Then I super enjoyed my Carolina Gumbo- a rich stew full of spicy andouille, okra, duck, shrimp, chicken, lump crab meat, and rice- WHAT?! Leftovers reheated well the next day. For dessert, though we were all full af, we all took spoonfuls (or more!) of the Brioche Bread Pudding. Their food packed with heart and soul keeps Georgia Brown's on my mind. Dan Larson: Friendly and attentive service. Our waiter was awesome. We had 5 people at our table and the food was a mixed bag - some dishes were fabulous and others not so much. Surprisingly the fried chicken was dry and tough. Dishes did not come out all at once, with a 15 minute delay from the first dish to the last. Overall atmosphere was very nice with live music. I'd try it again, hopefully next time the kitchen will be doing better.

Jon Kemp: The wife gives it 5 stars. It's no Mike's American when it comes to service but I've never NOT seasoned food after tasting it. They ran out of the extremely delicious according to Jose our waiter. So I had to settle for the stuffed shrimp which was very good. The others in our party loved ❤ the food. Sweet peach tea as good & sweet as it was Wasn't as good as Mike's. The fried chicken was great according to the wife. Catfish appetizers crunchy but even with the dipping sauce can be a pass even though we cleaned the plate. WARNINGS the bill total includes a 20% tip. Pay the tax and the subtotal not the suggested amount. I double tipped. My mistake, don't let it be yours. Dessert was brioche bread Pudding and not as sweet as the hot peach cobbler and I got the ice cream separately.

Laurie Saunders: Enjoyed Sunday brunch and music. The whole experience was wonderful. Creative food pairings we would never tried on our own. Last day for the current band. Hoping they will be back soon. Such a talented bunch. 🎶

Misty L. Smith: So this is Georgia Browns in Washington DC!!!! It is a must try when visiting Washington, the food, decor, atmosphere and service professionals were excellent! Johnathon was our server and was terrific!! Now the food was incredible, we ordered 4 entrees, the lamb chops, Devil shrimp, country friend steak and Crab cakes, let me tell you the food was amazing!!! The jalapeño corn was amazing!! Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

Sharon Nichols: Love going to this black owned establishment. The brunch is always good. Ryan @ the bar is Great, his customer service skills are phenomenal and as a mixologist his cocktails are always on point! Best Paloma I've ever had!

Crystal Gaskins: I don't even know where to start. Over all great experience!!!! Diamond is the best!!!! The people that mentioned her in the reviews didn't lie.... She is great!!!! The food was good also. The Greens and Mac and cheese that I ate off someone else's plate was awesome. We will definitely be back!!!! Oh the peach martini from the bar was perfect!!!!

Del Mar: what do users think?

Genesis Marrero: I was truly impressed with this dining experience. We flew to DC for my birthday week and had my birthday dinner here. Luis served us and he was definitely one of the best servers we have ever had wait on us (and we are huge foodies so that is saying something). He was so attentive and just knew exactly how to guide the dining experience based on what the guests is wanting out of their night whether they know specifically or not. We let him take the wheel with all of the knowledgeable recommendations and we were so happy from start to finish. We came back for our last meal in DC and again, Amber served us, and again we were not disappointed. She was so sweet and also had wonderful recommendations and made sure all of our needs were met before we said goodbye and hopped on a flight. Luckily Luis was also there and he remembered us which made us happy because he was also so memorable for us. He was so nice and sent us our new favorite drink that he enlightened us to - the carajillo. I don’t think you could go wrong with a single thing on this menu. The rest of the staff was also very efficient and everything just seemed to flow so smoothly with the teamwork here. I can’t wait to go back someday!

R: This was my first time going to Del Mar and the food was phenomenal! We went as a group of 8 to celebrate a birthday. It was my first time trying octopus and it was really good. The parking in the garage was $45 since I stay for 4+ hours which was a downside for the night so it might be better to find street parking.

Dondré: I rented an igloo and I took my family here for my Mother's birthday and my experience was incredible. The bubbles aka the igloos are nice and incredibly warm. The service is five stars absolutely fantastic, the waiter was nice and patient explaining the family style ordering style. The whole restaurant is extremely nice and well decorated it's like a huge mansion. Lastly this is not a cheap restaurant by any means, but the experience is worth it.

Jack Jiang: It's a bit pricy, but the food and service are worth the penny you spent! I love how the chef perfectly blends flavors together (like pepper+crab+uni sauce). The Sangria Roja cocktail is also a highlight, mixing the richness of wine and the sweet/sour touch of fruits/flowers - one of the best cocktails I've had in a while! Would recommend to everyone

J. Ivy Smith: Food was AMAZING! This should get. Michelin Star. There paella is the best I have had. I want to say there paella and cheesecake is similar to José Andre. Service was excellent and our waiter reminded us of actor John Mulaney. I def recommend this place and def Michelin Star worthy.

Black Star Dust: Absolutely stunning place. Great service. Top tier experience. Everything was a ten. The Seafood Paella is delicious. Highly recommend that dish. It comes in different sizes for sharing. It was my bday so they brought out gratis champagne and this cheesecake that was literally the one of the most delicious desserts to grace the planet. Don’t even get me started on the churros! Amazing! I also did come in with a VIP who goes there regularly so that surely may have enhanced the experience to 10 stars!!

Jo Han: If you are looking for high quality food and drinks then this is the place to be. I love their octopus and eggplants with drinks. There are so many selections but if you want to eat a lot then I'll go for paella. If you are going for drinks and chat then small plates are awesome and very flavorful. We come here multiple times when we come near here and never had bad experiences. Service is great too. So when you are at wharf then come by and try this place =)

Eli Samuel Bermudez: Beautiful restaurant, beautiful location and delicious food. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because is very expensive. Maybe ridiculously expensive for the food. Still a great experience for me and my wife for our anniversary !

Alya's Aura: The food was SO delicious and of course the service was top notch. Our waiter (I believe his name is Michael) was so nice and helpful and made some great recommendations. I definitely suggest leaving space for dessert because their little dulce de leche dark chocolate cakes with the horchata ice cream was beyond amazing! The perfect end to a great meal 👌🏾

Daisy Gutierrez: Food was good. Not great but good. The service was great! This wine was my fave. A little overpriced only because I feel at those prices the food should taste better. They have a great selection though! I had the seafood paella it lacked flavor. My friend had some green rice thing, neither of us raved about our main courses. The patatas bravas are good but could use more of the brava sauce.
