Ted's Bulletin: what do users think?

Arash Tavakoli: I had one of my best dining experiences in this place. The breakfast is easily enough for two people. The staff are super welcoming. Try their tarts and that tastes like heaven. Been very happy with the pancakes and hey they bring you a whole container of coffee. I also really liked that when we ordered one breakfast for two, they put it in two different plates. Thoughtful! So enjoy!

Calvin Thumma: My wife and I went here after a recommendation from a co-worker of mine. The area we are from has a number very good bistro and brunch locations but this meal blew them out of the water. My French toast was by far the best I’ve ever had, the bacon was crisp, potatoes were perfect and the eggs yummy. My wife’s meal was equally delicious, she order eggs, potatoes, toast and sausage. Nicole was our server and made sure every was perfect and never left our drinks get close to empty

Paul LaVigne: Enjoyed the bakery treats we had the other day so much we came back for brunch. Be sure to call ahead for reservations as this is a very busy place with longer wait times. The food was excellent. I do recommend you come and enjoy this place when you’re in town

Jessica Zheng: Pretty good brunch location! For drinks, we just got a caramel iced coffee and a vanilla milkshake. Coffee was okay, didn’t really taste the caramel flavor at all. For our meals- I got the Big Mark Breakfast. The sausage was very tasty but the eggs and hash brown were pretty bland, I ended up using dipping them in ketchup. Boyfriend got the salmon toast, that was surprisingly tasty! I was just weirded about eating raw salmon as my first meal of the day but it caught me by surprise!

Tilak Kalaria: Absolutely spectacular dining experience at Tex’s Bulletin for brunch. Service was awesome in this spot with a great ambience and location in DC. The food was excellent too so much to choose from. Their avacado toast has such great attention to detail. The S’mores tart was special! To better enhance our awesome experience someone kind patron paid for my party of 5’s brunch!! Highly recommend Ted’s!!

Fiorella Hidalgo: Went to get the special cherry blossom dessert during the Cherry Blossom Festival! Smoked Salmon Benedict is one of the best I ever had before! (I like it better than Kramer’s!). It took a while to get seated on a Sunday morning, so try to make a reservation in advance!

Hannah: Okay. I’m excited to review this place as an avid brunch food lover. To begin: we were told that the wait time was 40mjn and given a buzzer. Great. No problem, totally understand. To be fair, we hadn’t made reservations that morning. We wait 50min. They then tell us to wait another 30 minutes. My pregnant and hungry friend got it changed to 20min. Still. Once inside, the vibes were great. Our server was fast and attentive. Huge food portions and cute decor. Definitely not worth the weird waiting times, but will definitely make reservations next time!

Jacob Grice: Breakfast was awesome!!! Staff was super nice, restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was uplifting and calming at the same time. Food was very good and filling , you must try the cheese cake!! Defiantly will be back again!!

Jimmy T's Place: what do users think?

Alejandro “ZTXH” Zamora Jr.: This little place is a great find. The food is great, has a like home feeling, and feels like a small step into how things were a while back. Friendly service, great tasting food and amazing atmosphere. This is a Cash only establishment

Rachel Cipkins: The food was so good!! Can’t go wrong with a $3 grilled cheese at 7am. Make sure you have cash

Jimmy Thren: My name is also Jimmy T, which is why we went to check it out. After two years of the pandemic, this was the community we’ve been missing so much. Kind, thoughtful and fun staff. I love how sarcastic everyone was with each other. It’s a cozy, fill you up, delicious breakfast stop. If you are a craving a place that makes you feel like your apart of the family, this is it.

Mad Mike0082: Absolutely the best breakfast place I’ve found in DC. Super affordable , cash only , food is perfect. Not for the fancy crowd for the real down home folks. Will be back every morning.

Amanda Pedraza: Best diner experience I’ve ever had. Food was amazing service was even better ! 10/10 would recommend! The woman behind the counter is god sent !

Lincoln's Waffle Shop: what do users think?

Chelli Smith: Chicken wings were seasoned just right with an amazing crunch. The waffles were soft without being soggy and they were so good. By the time I looked up my teen had inhaled her French toast so I didn’t get to taste those, but when I asked her rating scale of 1-5 I could barely get the words out before she said 5. This place is the perfect hole in the wall/mom-n-pop type spot that lets you know the food will be good. We will be back!

Claire Mizutani: Stopped by for breakfast with my brother. We were seated at the counter and served pretty quickly. The chicken wings were very crispy and the grits had a wonderful consistency. My brother said the eggs were cooked exactly as he asked and was happy the waffle wasn’t too sweet.

Michael Rusk: What a great find in downtown DC. The wait was about 15 minutes but well worth it. The host was such a character and kept us entertained. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. I had a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on a bagel. My wife had a waffle and sausage side. Coffee was brewed fresh. Warning — on the day we were there, 3/26/22, their credit card machine was out of order and they were only accepting cash. The ATM around the corner was broken also! Plan on $15 per person unless you’re really hungry.

the DINER: what do users think?

Regina Hogan: Willy at The Diner was so awesome! Excellent customer service. The fish tacos and cherry blossom shake were amazing! Got a table outside in the shade. Very satisfied, will definitely be back!

Megan Bennett: Went to this place while visiting DC with my boyfriend. The food was amazing and the service was even better! Our waitress (wish I could remember her name) was awesome and very accommodating. Will definitely visit again when I’m in DC!

Pandora White: It was amazing. I went at a crowded time on a Saturday. I managed to snag a seat at the bar. The portions are nice. The price is amazing. The service fast. I recommend this.

Des KF: On the way into DC my boyfriend and I wanted to stop at this spot for lunch. When we arrived it took a little time to find parking. When we walked in they told us we can sit anywhere. Emmanuel was our server and he was good. We started with cocktails and I got the Bonecrusher and it was tasty. For my meal I got the chicken sandwich and it was so good! The aoli was very tasty that they added. My boyfriend got the Diner Royale and he enjoyed his meal. The bill came to about $52. We enjoyed and would return.

Levnon: Not a bad place to grab a bite. They got a good selection for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Quality is good, and so is the service.

Paula Ramirez: This place never disappoints me! The food is so delicious! I ordered the Ponderosa omelette and it was just perfect! We ordered the migas and wow so delicious! We also ordered a burger and it was cooked to perfection! If you want to enjoy great food at a reasonable price here in DC you def need to stop by the Diner!

Barb O: Just terrific! Exactly what you look for in a diner… quick service, (thank you Tamika!) delicious and plentiful food at a good price, friendly staff.

Pete's Diner: what do users think?

Demetria Andrews: Loved this family owned and run restaurant. There were clearly regular customers. We were treated well and the food was quick and delicious. I highly recommend Pete’s.

Dirk Jonker: Busy place when I arrived. I was seated promptly by the nice staff. I had the typical breakfast, scrambled eggs, bacon & hash browns. I found the bacon was a little over cooked but the meal was satisfying overall. A nice location with a outdoor patio. I recommend. 👍

G E: Relatively unknown little diner a block behind the US Capital. It’s called Pete’s but it’s actually run by a Korean family and has a bit of an Asian slant. They are friendly and provide great service. Anyway, it’s good for a basic breakfast before you head out to explore the monuments and museums or a break for lunch in between things. Clint Watwood: Cozy breakfast spot. We had the steak and cheese sandwich and the Egg Salad sandwich which was made fresh on the spot. Friendly staff with a smile.

Corner Bakery: what do users think?

Swastika Nohara: Nice Cafe with good selection of pastries and egg for breakfast and lunch. We had ham sandwiches and omellette that comes with bread and a cup of fresh fruit. Loved it! Cinnamon roll is also good. The Coffee is just average. But for warm breakfast we are happy!

Sahar Bayounis: I ordered the half chicken sandwich with a side of tomato soup. It was so good! I also recommend the sweet crisps. They’re really addictive. I just didn’t like the attitude of the cashier lady, she was rude and unwelcoming unfortunately.

Marcy: Pricy. But the food is good. I got a full sandwich with a cup of soup as a $2.99 add on with a small coffee and everything cost $17.68. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is right next to marshals where we bought a charger. There are a few seats next to wall outlets to recharge. Perfect place to eat and charge your phone.

Mandi Mouser: Great place to eat while trying to warm up!! Sandwiches, soups, salads, and delicious bake goods. Every staff member that we encountered was 10/10! The cashier lady was very warming to my son who is shy and indecisive. She helped us figure out what was the best choice. The food was amazing!!!!!!!!! Would definitely eat here again. ***Plus side…very very close to the White House***

Michelle Dombrowski: I wanted to express my gratitude & appreciation for an employee at this Corner Bakery location. The employee is Melinda T. As my family & I visited DC for 7 days for a family vacation, we stayed at the Willard Hotel (which is across the street from Corner Bakery). We frequented this Corner Bakery for breakfast and met Melinda among our travels. It was Melinda’s charming personality that kept us wanting to come back to dine in. Not only is she so sweet & friendly, Melinda is also so damn hilarious. We couldn’t get enough of her humor. Corner Bakery is lucky to have an employee like Melinda because she makes customers feel so welcome, like we were eating at home. Thank you so much, Melinda, for your welcoming hospitality. You are the best & we hope to see you the next time we visit DC. Your friends from Michigan, the Dombrowski family 😉

Drewe Zanki: Good sandwich. Great coffee. Super nice staff.

Founding Farmers DC: what do users think?

Tyler Davis: Quality food and drinks! Stopped by while out and about visiting DC with the family. Short walk from several metro stations. Reserved a table during lunchtime the morning we went and was seated minutes after we showed up. Staff was attentive and my drink was never empty. Reasonable prices for the quality food you get considering the location and love the bar menu. Was recommended this place by several people and it was quickly apparent why. Will definitely visit again next time we are in DC!

Konstantinos Rizakos: We were seated promptly at our reservation time. The hosts and servers were polite and effective, albeit the food and drinks took a while to come out. Everything was very very tasty. The meat in particular. Try the prime rib, and the pork chops - but you may want to ask that they cook less than you usually like because ours were slightly over cooked.

Kimberly Giang: Omg so yummy. Visited DC for the first time and found this restaurant for breakfast. It definitely did not disappoint! It was so yummy we came back the next morning. We reserved a table online and good thing we did because it gets crowded fast. Our table was ready when we arrived and all of the staff was very friendly. Food came out fast. The French toast was so unique and tasted amazing. I loved the Eggs Benedict and how crispy the hash browns were! Definitely would come back!

WooDo Jedi: Good service! Our server was outstanding. (Front hostess and host didn’t make us feel welcome though - we felt like cattle coming through the door). Our orders came our timely and had that flavor profile that spoke of home. We would definitely return here!

Frankie Painter: This is our 3rd time here and WOW, everything we’ve ever ordered has been amazing! We always start with the honey cornbread and this time I got Scallops Meunière with butternut squash risotto and my husband got catfish with grits and green beans. My scallops were cooked to perfection - they cut like butter. The atmosphere here is warm and cozy but lively, although there were way less people this time because of social distancing restrictions. Our waiter was super! We had to show an ID and proof of vaccination. Highly, highly recommend!!

Ying Liang: Friend took me here for dinner when I visited DC. We went on a late weekday evening. Definitely call for reservations ahead of time because it was incredibly crowded. I’m not sure how long we would’ve had to wait if we didn’t plan for that. Our waitress was very nice, food took a while, probably because it was so busy! So plan some time to catch up and relax. It was sort of dark and loud but the restaurant still had nice ambiance. I got the chicken and waffles… and oh my goodness, it was the best fried chicken and the best waffles I’ve ever had. So freaking good. The green beans were crunchy/fresh and the mac and cheese was decent. Not sure what sauce it came with but I was enjoying it! I would probably try to get here for early brunch next time instead. Definitely recommend you stop by if you get the chance.

Goose Prevot: Stumbled upon this restaurant while walking over towards the Lincoln Memorial. The atmosphere was awesome. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I liked that the craft cocktail spirits were distilled by the restaurant. We were able to purchase a bottle to take home as well. The food was very tasty. It is a definite try if you are around the area.

A Baked Joint: what do users think?

pelumi olaleye: First time visiting. Went around 9am on a Saturday morning. I’m a French toast enthusiast & I couldn’t wait to try their theirs. It’s the best French toast I’ve tried out of all the ones I’ve tried. Their velvet cake is delicious. The cafe is cozy with vibrant music. Great for kids as well. I will return.

Sahar Bayounis: This is a nice breakfast place. I really loved the vibe and design of the restaurant. And I liked how I could study there because the atmosphere was so chill. I just didn’t get why it was so expensive because I had an egg sandwich with cheese for $9 (no coffee or drink). I wanted to try the famous biscuits but they were baked with bacon and I couldn’t find a vegan option.

Fernanda Lanzagorta: Delicious made from scratch biscuit breakfast sandwich. Their creations are original and tasty. The coffee is also good as well as the pastries. Order in advance or be patient to wait in line specially during the weekends. Plenty of seating options inside and outside.

Elias Chelala: The smoked salmon sandwich was absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and the venue had a good vibe. It cost around $12 and took about 15 minutes to prepare the order. The inside has lots of cozy seating and the patrons seemed friendly. This place is conveniently located near where I work and live and I will definitely be visiting again.

Greg Young: It came highly recommended and we definitely enjoyed it (though a couple of menu items—the quiche and French Toast—were not available). We went fully savory, though the sweet options were plentiful and looked delicious too.

Marina Figueroa: Adorable coffee shop!!! Very hip, loved the decor and plants around the store. A bit expensive; I think it could go with a side for the price, but delicious nonetheless. Be ready to show proof of vaccination :)

Philip R.: Had a nice meal here after an event at the convention center. Lots of seating for dining indoors. Photos show the ham and gruyere quiche with salad and the chicken and rice soup. The soup was hearty and flavorful!

Erika: This place is spectacular! Amazing food, super fresh and came out quickly. We had the creme brulee french toast, a massive croissant and a HUGE cinnamon raisin roll. 10/10 would absolutely recommend!! We will definitely be back!!!

Unconventional Diner: what do users think?

Zeyu Hu: Went to Unconventional Diner for both brunch and dinner and let me tell you they didn’t disappoint at all. Brunch: Got three different items to share for brunch, and each was unique in its own way but complimented each other so well. The shrimp and grits were perfect. The BBQ shrimp had an amazing smokey smell which really made it stand out. The biscuits were also amazing, nice and crispy and the house made sausage was great. The blueberry pancakes were the fluffiest I’ve ever had, a great sweet treat to end the meal. Dinner: Came back for dinner a week later and it blew me out of the water again. As the name suggests, the menu has a large variety and when the waiter tells you you can’t go wrong with anything, they ain’t lying. We got such a variety of food - from French to southern, Chinese stir fry to Cuban. It just all works so well. Bottom line: A must visit if you are in DC. The best wait staff and service. But remember to book ahead!

Claire Mizutani: Went out to dinner with my family and a friend from school. Great food! I really enjoyed the mezze and the Mac n cheese. Speedy service and great labeling on the menu for those with dietary restrictions. I wish that the outdoor seating area had heaters but now that the weather is getting warmer that may be less of an issue

Christopher Guarin: Was in town to check out the Cherry Blossom Festival. We made a point to stop in for some brunch before walking all over town. We were definitely not disappointed. Everything we tried was delicious! From the drinks, to the Everything Lox, and Chicken and Waffles....every bite was amazing. We will be back for more on our next trip!

Eric Lee: Got the cheeseburger and fried chicken. Both were phenomenal. Simple dishes but everything was cooked and seasoned so well. Price for these dishes were affordable. Great vibe as well, pretty large space. Will be back to try more!

Queen Melissa: Wonderful for family outing , a date and friends brunch. Everything was outstanding. The cleanliness was good. The customer service and server was really nice. My kids loved everything and they are usually picky eaters. This was my first time eating shrimps and grits all I can say it was amazing. Overall,we were a satisfied family and will be back again.

Ben Multak: Unconventional diner dishes but delicious flavors. Everything I’ve tried here has hit and the restaurant itself is a well oiled machine. Highly recommend if you find yourself in the area. Really enjoyed the Crab Fritters and Fried Chicken

Sirius Fidelity: This was one of my favorite food places on my trip. The place was a pretty good size, clean, and bright. There also appeared to be outside dining as well. I ordered the kid size portion of the Blueberry Lavender Pancakes as pictured, and the Shrimp and Grits. Nothing short of amazing. Prices were reasonable and the portion sizes good. I highly recommend this place.

Christal Young: I love a place that has vegan as well as non-vegan options. This place was so good, I came back two days in a row. Their kale nachos were just superb and their cauliflower salad with falafel was also delicious and filling. The colors and ambiance are also nicely done. There are several dining spaces, including indoor and outside seating, each with its own vibe.

ReCreate Artworks: I found this gem about a 20 minute walk north of the mall. I cannot recommend it enough. There was plenty of seats, the staff was quick and efficient, and the restaurant itself was stunning. It makes you feel luxurious without having the price tag that usually comes with it. It’s very affordable but the quality of food is beyond the price. I got a double shot of espresso and the Brussel Sprouts with Fried Egg. 10/10.

Chunhee Hong: We had buttermilk pancake, corned beef hash, cappuccino and rise & shine. All delicious! The customer service and server were really nice. Overall,we were satisfied and will be back again to try other menu!

Ted's Bulletin: what do users think?

Michelle Wiciak: The food was excellent, although the corned beef hash was extremely salty. I loved the smoked salmon rangoons, and thought it was the highlight of the meal. The biscuits and gravy were also stellar too, and that dish was HUGE. I enjoyed the banana cream pie, but thought the crust was too thick. The only downside was that the place was a bit too loud music-wise and our server seemed disinterested in serving us

Alex teufel: This was the most pleasant restaurant experience I’ve ever had. I am from out of town.First off, they asked if there was any food allergies before taking orders and bringing food, and as a person with a food allergy this was super cool, and something more restaurants should do! Tiffany was a phenomenal waitress, best server I’ve ever had. Polite, and thoughtful staff, short wait, GREAT food. 10/10 recommend!!

Deana Bushell: The Strawberry lemonade was delish...the fried pickles were the perfect starter for our meal. Also had the Chicken Parmesan with a side of Brussel Sprouts with blue cheese and bacon. More than I could eat and very tasty. Great local place with a wonderful atmosphere.

Sarah: Delicious entree meals and really the main sell. 5 star for food, 3 star waitress. Will definitely be back for the entree meals because the cooks know what they are doing! I was very excited for the pop tarts but filling is only within the very center of them and it would have been ten times better taste-wise if it was served warm. Service was extremely slow and our waitress did not refill our water glasses and we had to wait an extremely long time to get our bill to leave. Food (excluding dessert) and environment great, but service may need some improvement especially since it was not very busy and we still waited a long time for waitress to come back to the table to ask about dessert and then again to get the bill (1.5 hours for two people to eat).

Charlotte Meindersma (Charlotte's Law): We had a Ted’s tart, which was really good. The dough is soft shortbread cookie like. Fresh iced tea was good. And we tried the loaded tots. Outside seating is really nice. Not all servers are as friendly as we’d hoped for, the girl who helped us most was very helpful and friendly.

Amreen Shafiuddin: seemed like a small cafe from outside but they have a indoor seating place for brunch !!! looked like a upscale place.. people were posh there !!! the room had ample sunlight and it was all lit.. the tables were big enough for 6 people to sit comfortably. Our server was sweet and friendly.. people even clicked our photos without us asking for help !!! the food was amazing.. i would give it 15/10… we ordered 5 different dishes.. none disappointed… The big mark breakfast was super filling.. avocado toast was presented well and quite filling as to was on the lighter fair.. the stand out dishes were the Country fried chicken and Grilled salmon !!! omg amazing flavours !!! soooo yummm !! definitely coming back here for eating this again !!!

Cory Schwab: Delicious breakfast! And the homemade pop tart was a nice surprise. Coffee could have been a little stronger but still tasted good!

The Greenhouse: what do users think?

Melissa Luke: The food is great, but the experience is what wow’d me the most! Wonderful ambiance, very cozy and not pretentious, and they give you a tiny upholstered foot stool for your purse!! We had tons of fun.

Miguel Curiel: Elegant experience, tasty food. Went in for brunch and place is 1) more beautiful than expected and 2) cheaper than expected. Great pick if you want to go have a nice talk + meal in somewhere iconic, fancy and affordable. Highly recommended that you reserve beforehand.

Mark Blanchard: Delicious brunch and beautiful restaurant. Classy high end touches all around.

Caitlyn George: Extremely accommodating. We walked here with the kids from our hotel excited to try a new restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised with how kind the staff were to squeeze us in. We will absolutely be sure to make reservations next time now that we know. The staff were friendly and offered special surprises for the kids upon sitting. Made them feel so special. This is a brunch that makes you feel upscale and special. The beakfast foods and drinks are highest quality, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We enjoyed every moment and will absolutely return! The kids loved it and enjoyed feeling fancy for the morning and insist that we go back.

G Dalmeida: A return to quiet elegance... The Greenhouse is fine dining for Brunch or Lunch. It felt so nice to enjoy a brunch that wasn’t rushed, or had me waiting 45+minutes to be seated. From the fine China to the very attentive staff and quiet ambiance The Greenhouse at the Jefferson Hotel will briefly make you feel as though you aren’t in Washington, DC but maybe a lovely summer home of a friend overlooking the river. The meal I selected was rather simple and traditional waffles with fresh fruit. They were prepared well not too crunch and definitely not to soft. Too much cream butter and a glaze over the strawberries were the only things I found lacking. But everything else was just perfect . Plenty of hot coffee served in slightly larger cups and a beautiful table sitting. I would recommend The Greenhouse to anyone who appreciates a slightly old school style dining experience. It made me glad I was up on all things Emily Post. (aka dining etiquette).

Sheneze Jones: Good food and great service!

Busboys and Poets: what do users think?

Sonya Williams (Wildflowers and Hooyahs): Made a thirty min trip to try this location and it was def worth it. The waitress, Phoenix, was phenomenal! We also loved all of our food. The Mediterranean burger with lamb was such great combination of flavors. We shared the pancakes and French toast because our six year old couldn’t finish it. We had plenty of leftovers. My husband ordered the egg and cheddar burger and said it was pretty good. I loved the art and the vibe of the place. We arrived around 1030 and there was barely anyone there on Sunday. But literally when we left at 1120, the entire building seemed packed to capacity. Glad we came early for brunch! Well, three locations down and plenty more to try. This chain has a reputation of having great quality food, drinks, art, books and id family friendly. But could be great for a group of friends or lover.

Fahad Aqeel: I really enjoyed my meal here. The service was great and the place had nice vibes. Wish they could have bottomless coffee for breakfast though, and not keep paying $4 for a fresh cup.

Sahar Bayounis: This was without a doubt THE best chicken panini I ever tried. Hands down. It was so juicy and tender, unlike other panini sandwiches where the bread is so tough and dry. The chicken is mixed with chipotle sauce that’s just heavenly. 🤤 I highly highly recommend trying it whenever you visit Busboy and Poets. Also, get some sweet potato fries on the side instead of regular French fries. It’s very difficult to cook the perfect sweet potato fries and get them so crispy. This place knew how to cook them!!! Unfortunately there was no poetry when I came this Friday, but I’m definitely giving it another try in the future. ♥️

The Market Lunch: what do users think?

Larry “Big Schlim” Mcleod: Now I may be a tad bit bias when it comes down to breakfast at this spot. My tastebuds are partial to this place because as a youth, my hip, debonair, bachelor father wasn’t cooking breakfast for me often, and would bring me to @marketlunch occasionally. This is where I forked through their thick cut, French bread, French toast (pictured with sweet butter, and maple syrup $7.50) for the first time, and became infatuated!! So for breakfast (Tues-Thurs 8 a.m.-11 a.m., Fri-Sat 8: a.m.-1 p.m., Sun-9 a.m.-1 p.m.) you can get a stack of pancakes, egg or crab cake Benedict’s (weekends only), Bacon, Turkey bacon, ham, scrapple (pictured-$3.25), or pork sausages as a side or in a sandwich with eggs. They have omelets that come with spinach and cheese, or platters like their crab cake platter (served with 2 eggs, grits or potatoes and toast). After all these years it dawned on me as I’m writing this…that I’ve NEVER had the LUNCH at Market Lunch!! For lunch they have crab cake, Rockfish, fried oyster, shrimp, whiting, or flounder platters, that come with 2 sides (which include coleslaw, fries, baked beans, collard greens, and more). You can turn that surf into a sandwich, and their turf (burgers) for lunch too! I copped what I’ve ALWAYS got!! Their breakfast platter with bacon, cheese eggs, cheese grits ($12.90), a side of scrapple, and my beloved French toast with a lemonade!! STAMP EVERYTHING!! I’ve been getting this same meal for years, and the formula that initially drew me in is still there!! There is integrity in their food, let alone deliciousness. In my opinion, this is the BEST BREAKFAST you can get in D.C. period!! Crispy house made bacon, just right grits, thin but meaty scrapple, and scrambled eggs that are close to perfection!! Don’t think so? Try it!! Change my mind!! That’s it. #Bestbreakfast #EasternMarket #Bigschlimsrrviews #bacon #cheeseeggs #scrapple #cheesegrits #frenchbreadfrenchtoast #localmaplesyrup #deliciousness #nostalgic #goideats #fightme #tryit #thatsit

Lawrence Brooks: Visited the restaurant on Sunday for a brunch with my wife. The staff was friendly and service was extremely fast considering the crowd of folks ordering. The food was very good. I had the blueberry buckwheat pancakes with eggs and potatoes and my wife had the French toast with eggs and bacon. The pancakes and French toast were more than we could imagine eating in one sitting and were soo good that we took them home for breakfast the next day. We plan to return for lunch to try their other menu items!

Erin K Boyle: The owner is amazing. Full of happy upbeat energy. He was so engaged with the customers he helped us pick our food and poured our coffee. Crabcakes Eggs Benedict Pancakes Crabcake sandwich

ivana gobbo: What a great experience. The gentlemen in the cashier is great! He is super funny and gives you the best suggestions, so you better listen to him :p We really enjoyed the atmosphere. The food is delicious: the crab cake Benedict it’s amazing... They are famous for the blueberry pancakes (delicious as well). The service is great, very nice staff, convenient location and good prices. FYI: This place is cash only, so be prepared :)

Merrick Brown: Good pancakes, but refusing to accept breakfast orders after 1 pm on weekends (unless you go around the order taker and talk to the chef, as I saw one person successfully do) seems like a poor business decision. They close at 2 or 3 p.m. anyway, and both yesterday and today I saw customer after customer come up to order breakfast items after 1 p.m. and get turned away. You’re known for your breakfast items. Embrace it! It’s the weekend. Some people like to have brunch a little later.

Lauren Kessler: Found this place in the Washingtonian magazine and am so happy I did! What a rare find - no frills eatery inside Eastern Market offering wild-caught seafood, mostly local, and reasonably priced meals. Grab a spot at the community table or one of the few high tops in their section or take to-go. You won’t regret it. We got there around 10:30 am and within 10 minutes, the line had quadrupled so earlier the better on the weekends! Do not miss the blueberry buckwheat pancakes with real whipped butter and real maple syrup. The shrimp and grits were quite tasty too - huge difference in flavor between wild-caught shrimp and the alternative. Only suggestion to the restaurant would be to get tastier buns for the breakfast sandwiches!

Sincerely Breakfast: what do users think?

Lindsey Stiles: We grabbed Sincerely Breakfast on our way down to the National Mall and holy moly. It was amazing! They also have a few great gluten-free items. Would highly recommend!

Marcelus Wilkinson: This place has absolutely fire food!! The biscuit was soft and didn’t cake up in your mouth, the fried chicken had a crispy, well-seasoned batter, the eggs were moist and flavorful. Top notch! They don’t use that cheap paper bacon, it has a well balanced thickness and was cooked to perfection! The oatmeal was sensational and would be a joy for anybody who enjoys sweetness and freshness with their breakfast! Don’t miss it, it’s an underground kitchen right beside another jumping restaurant, and I am so glad I broke their hosts hearts by asking where the Sincerely Breakfast’s entry was!

jude beck: Ordered the strawberry cheesecake french toast 3 times now. Overnight oats come out pretty quick for a breakfast bite in the morning. Kiosk order.

Paul G: Awesome place hidden in DC’s dupont circle! Great people working and a really fun and ever expanding menu!

Ashley: The food was delicious and the service was great at this small kiosk style restaurant. I would definitely return.

Chloe Memoir: The crab-avocado biscuit is absolutely fantastic! Listen, I was a little disappointed because it wasn’t a full blown restaurant- their concept is more “GRAB & GO” but despite all that I just had to leave a review because I WILL BE BACK! That biscuit remind me of Red Lobster- but only THIS ONE IS BETTER! Omg. I also had the French Toast which was delightful on its own as well- I just wasn’t expecting that biscuit to be that good!!

John Armstrong: The breakfast biscuit is delicious and buttery, a big portion, and a great price for DC! Takeout only ghost kitchen set up.

Raynell Tillman: These folx can breakfast! If you know you know and if you don’t get breakfast there and find out! Breakfast burritos and overnight oats there are fiyah!

Le Bon Café: what do users think?

Abdulgaleel Alhazmi: I ordered a Panini grilled chicken & roasted tomato. And I ordered Belgian waffle and a croissant and a blueberry scone. It took less than 10 minutes to full fill my order. And the Paninis tasted like they were made in heaven. The waffle was out of this world it’s like they were made out of my imagination and tasted better than I could dream to imagine. All that cost less than $32.

Desmond Alque: Fantastic little Cafe with some great food and amazing coffee. The staff are super nice, and though the inside space is small, outside dining space is available.

chan ham: A local place for brunch and serving good sandwiches...I thought no specialty cusine in particular...it is better for couples cuz the space is so small for families

Jon Scott: Cute place to grab a coffee and pastry or lunch. We had the Turkey club with potato salad. It was outstanding. Close to the Library of Congress and Capital.

Mark P: This place was really good! My fiance and I were staying at the capital hill hotel and walked around the corner to get breakfast. super easy to order and go or to pull up a cafe table and stay. We got their baked egg strata which was amazing, so were the breakfast potatoes. Fresh fruit and croissant were also amazing.

karen riobo: The food is amazing and the staff is friendly. The have flavored lattes which I appreciate because it’s never the same. Their soups are delicious as well.Croissants are to die for! This is my second time and I have not been disappointed yet… ;)

Victoria A: This is my first time visiting. I had the baked egg strata. It was delicious! I would definitely recommend this place!

Sophia Forte: A little piece of France. The white chocolate raspberry mocha was unbelievable. So delicious and the perfect way to start the morning. The wait was fairly quick given the amount of hands in the kitchen and customers making orders. Overall a wonderful experience.

Corner Bakery: what do users think?

Calvin Bryant: We we were trapped in DC because of the snow storm Jan 2022. We needed food and a place to escape from the Hilton capital hill for breakfast. Upon discovering Corner Bakery we found both. Great food, service and warm friendly atmosphere. Broccoli Cheddar soup saved the day!

Brian Hammer: This place was close to our hotel so convenient for some breakfast. A good variety of dishes and a great hazelnut coffee. I can also recommend their overnight oats with fruit. Very fair prices for washington dc.

Ukvayat Hanak: I am from rural America and this place was the closest to the prices I enjoy in the Midwest. The flavor was perfect and I will surely be seeking out a Corner Bakery the next time I am exploring DC. I felt more at home by sitting and enjoying breakfast here.

Brett Daviau: Great place for a quick bite. Everyone comes here. Always a line out the door and a pile of bikes outside. Plan on wain the morning.

Marion NYC: Nice selection for breakfast and/or brunch. The staff was very friendly. The place is clean. The food was good. This place gets very busy. Come early. Tons of outdoor space but only when it’s warm enough. Definitely check this place out! I recommend this place for a meal.

Debra Borromeo: My family and I are visiting DC and were looking for a place for 7 of us to have breakfast. The staff here was very friendly and went out of their way to quickly put together seating for us. I ordered the avocado toast and it was the best avocado toast I’ve ever had - crisp bread, ripe avocados and perfectly cooked eggs. I would definitely return.

Voldemort aka Rockstar: D-D-D-Delicious, OMG 😱 5/5⭐️ Foamy Coffee, Rich on Salmon eggs Benedict, Ham&Cheese crepes with yummy mustard sauce, and of course DESERTS 🤤 (I’m not a food photographer 😅, but trust me it’s so good) Recommend it 100% 👍🏻

Timothy Sawwah: We had a breakfast. Loved the food. The portions can be a bit bigger, but overall it was a good experience. Try the chocolate banana crepes!!!

Mark Frank: This place is underneath the Kaiser medical building and was delicious. They had food but I asked if I could just get a coffee and pastry and they said of course! The prices were reasonable (about $3 for coffee and $3 for muffin), the workers were super friendly and the space was really nice and calm.

Tanisha Hendrix: The atmosphere is amazing with a cozy feel and lots of outdoor seating. Be patient, as they were very busy. But, they managed to still make our trip expedient and excellent. We ordered the eggs Benedict, cinnamon roll, and turkey egg and cheese sandwich and it was all exceptionally delicious!

Slipstream: what do users think?

Paolo Verzani: exceptional espresso program. Truly incredibly gifted craftsman. When I visit from NYC I without fail come to visit this cafe and I always get a flat white and enjoy the oudoor seating they have and read my Bible and just unwind. It’s the greatest cafe with a really stunning food selection too! I love their avocado toast, it goes well with their habenero spicy jam!

Ido Simyoni: Such a hipster place for a weekend brunch. Really enjoyed the vibe, service and food. Everyone was so nice and friendly.

Angela Huffaker: Carrot cake muffin with sage and cream cheese + breakfast sandwich where amazing, but the coffee was the show - Maximum Effort put in

Jeff E: Great coffee and food. They need to update their offerings online as they say open for dine in and they are not.

Sue Loftis: This was such a cute little coffee shop. Small and not kid friendly. I had the vanilla iced latte, it was perfectly sweetened, not too much sugar that overpowered the coffee flavor. And the Avocado toast was prob the best I’ve had anywhere. I’ve never had it the way they make it but I was pleasantly surprised.

cosmopus: Nice, cozy place. Nice spot to start your day with.Negative side: not clean utensils

Tony's Breakfast: what do users think?

Bluroc Obama: Ordered 2 breakfast platters for ~15$. Food was great. Pancakes were fluffy and buttered, sausage patties were perfectly cooked, French toast was soft and full. The eggs could’ve been fluffier (vs. fried hard) , but were good nonetheless. Food was ready 10min after order on a Saturday night. Definitely going back!!!

Andrew Theiss: Best tasting and most affordable breakfast sandwiches in area. But they don’t have jalapeños! Please add jalapeños. Better than any breakfast sandwich place I ever found in NYC, Boston, or Dallas.

Clifford Washington: I been dining ate this place forever and have never been disappointed... they make some of the best breakfast 🥪 in D.C. hands down 💯

Edward Holloway (NuVizion): Definatly one of the go to spots in DC for some great breakfast! This place feels "home-ly" , so expected to be treated like family..... Like you live and go there most days

Paul Askew: The services is fantasy employees are always very respectful to all customer especially to senior citizens the food is fantasy taste great. I hope they will stay in the community for very long time.

The Highlands: what do users think?

Silvia Oakland: A great cafe on 14th!!! I stopped after a day of wondering and exploring and I’m so glad I found this place. Service was incredible and so was the food. I’m from a small town in the Midwest and I felt right at home in this little place. Thank you!

Muriel Cooper: Always a great time at Highlands! The food selections arr incredible and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Great spot for weekend Brunch in a quiet, unassuming neighborhood. Dine in or take out, you will be pleased with your decision to choose Highlands, anytime.

Jailyn Stone: Thia place was a true diamond in the rough. The reviews had me hype until I got there. I was skeptical but everything was so good. They had a vegan gyro that was delicious. My kids enjoyed the waffles. And hubby said French toast was very good. I was already stuffed but what I had of the grits was good. I would highly recommend this place.

Romona Foster: The Highlands was a nice surprise. I was invited to lunch at this wonderful little place. Service was excellent, the food was really good, the space was cozy, and I loved the art work and community environment. If you love community, culture and people, check the Highlands out! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Kelsey: Very cute spot in 16th St. Heights with reasonable prices and great food! Would definitely recommend coming in for breakfast.
