Ted's Bulletin: what do users think?

Arash Tavakoli: I had one of my best dining experiences in this place. The breakfast is easily enough for two people. The staff are super welcoming. Try their tarts and that tastes like heaven. Been very happy with the pancakes and hey they bring you a whole container of coffee. I also really liked that when we ordered one breakfast for two, they put it in two different plates. Thoughtful! So enjoy!

Calvin Thumma: My wife and I went here after a recommendation from a co-worker of mine. The area we are from has a number very good bistro and brunch locations but this meal blew them out of the water. My French toast was by far the best I’ve ever had, the bacon was crisp, potatoes were perfect and the eggs yummy. My wife’s meal was equally delicious, she order eggs, potatoes, toast and sausage. Nicole was our server and made sure every was perfect and never left our drinks get close to empty

Paul LaVigne: Enjoyed the bakery treats we had the other day so much we came back for brunch. Be sure to call ahead for reservations as this is a very busy place with longer wait times. The food was excellent. I do recommend you come and enjoy this place when you’re in town

Angelica Norman-Beltran: Walked past this restaurant on my way home and decided to stop and have dinner. I'm so glad I did. My waitress was very nice and sociable. I ordered their Lavender Mule from the cocktail menu, Loaded Tater tots to start and decided to go with Avocado toast for my dinner, and finished everything off with their seasonal Cherry Blossom Churros. Every thing tasted amazing, I'd caution on using too much of the ranch sauce on the tater tots. It added an extra salt flavor that my mouth didn't like, use it sparingly. The Avocado toast was worth it the price. The poached eggs were made perfectly and there was a lot more avocado than I expected so that was a pleasant surprise. (Note it can be spicy with they peppers they use). All in all I'm happy I found this place while on a walk. I'll need to stop by again and try out a nother dish!

Jessica Zheng: Pretty good brunch location! For drinks, we just got a caramel iced coffee and a vanilla milkshake. Coffee was okay, didn’t really taste the caramel flavor at all. For our meals- I got the Big Mark Breakfast. The sausage was very tasty but the eggs and hash brown were pretty bland, I ended up using dipping them in ketchup. Boyfriend got the salmon toast, that was surprisingly tasty! I was just weirded about eating raw salmon as my first meal of the day but it caught me by surprise!

Tilak Kalaria: Absolutely spectacular dining experience at Tex’s Bulletin for brunch. Service was awesome in this spot with a great ambience and location in DC. The food was excellent too so much to choose from. Their avacado toast has such great attention to detail. The S’mores tart was special! To better enhance our awesome experience someone kind patron paid for my party of 5’s brunch!! Highly recommend Ted’s!!

Amanda Pokrzywa: Friendly service, great atmosphere, insanely delicious food! Highly recommend the BBQ & Bacon Bloody Mary! There's something special about their homemade tarts. The Huevos Rancheros hit all the flavor profiles I was looking for.

Fiorella Hidalgo: Went to get the special cherry blossom dessert during the Cherry Blossom Festival! Smoked Salmon Benedict is one of the best I ever had before! (I like it better than Kramer’s!). It took a while to get seated on a Sunday morning, so try to make a reservation in advance!

Hannah: Okay. I’m excited to review this place as an avid brunch food lover. To begin: we were told that the wait time was 40mjn and given a buzzer. Great. No problem, totally understand. To be fair, we hadn’t made reservations that morning. We wait 50min. They then tell us to wait another 30 minutes. My pregnant and hungry friend got it changed to 20min. Still. Once inside, the vibes were great. Our server was fast and attentive. Huge food portions and cute decor. Definitely not worth the weird waiting times, but will definitely make reservations next time!

Jacob Grice: Breakfast was awesome!!! Staff was super nice, restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was uplifting and calming at the same time. Food was very good and filling , you must try the cheese cake!! Defiantly will be back again!!

Logan Tavern: what do users think?

Nomad USA: Super chill neighborhood tavern. The host there is generally pretentious and cold. I’ve had this issue getting seated at the LT in the past. Their hosts is is far from friendly as is imaginable. Even with the place completely empty, getting a booth probably requires a some type of cash payoff. The servers are super chill and helpful. Menu is great. Wide variety of appetizers and entrees. I had the BBQ Korean wings and the LT burger with truffle fries. The LT burger was just a buck more, truffle fries 2 bucks more, all super tasty and perfect medium rare. They have little alcove by the bar, great for people watching, and the requisite long bar for a casual lunch or dinner. Bathroom. 6/10 for cleanliness.

Kiffa Shirley: Wanted to try something new and made our way to Logan Tavern over the weekend. We ordered the empanada appetizer, and the figgy burger with truffle and B.A.B Grilled Cheese. Everything was delicious but I may have overdone my taste buds with the truffle. They were tasty fries but next time I will just get to enjoy the burger with regular fries. Can't wait to return.

Matthew Cook: Very good food. Plenty of menu variety so everyone should be able to find something. Including some decent vegetarian dishes. Good cocktail and beer selection. Extremely friendly staff and very efficient.

Hong Hanh Dinh: Amazing service here. Our waitress was very sweet and friendly, giving us all the best recommendations and attentive to our needs. The food was amazing. I loved the steak and eggs, it wasn't an aggressive portion but the right sized to be full and comfortable without the discomfort and regret afterwards that you've over eaten. The bloody Marys were awesome! They offer different kinds of bloody Marys and you can choose which topping you'd like. There is also a huge boot sized bloody Mary but i went for an easy individual size. The dessert options are so great. I love the Mango key lime pie which I think is the restaurant favorite. Would come back again and again!

Jay Vizcarra: LGBTQ+ friendly with great eats! I had one of the famous cheeseburgers on the menu which was super tasty. Usually hopping with great people eating there. Centrally located with a pleasant neighborhood walk surrounded by other places to eat in the area.

Darnice Ward: Logan Tavern was a great choice for an after graduation celebration. None of us had ever been to Logan Tavern as we are from out of state. In our party of 14 only 2 of our party members were from the area, and they had never been either. The did not have a table on Open Table to seat all of us so I reserved several tables and hoped they could seat us near one another. I called and talked to someone who said they would and they OVER delivered and seated us together!!! Our food was delicious and each person was happy with their selection. Although the menu is not extensive it has something for everyone. We had everything from wings, burgers, dip, salad and seafood pasta. Drinks were tasty and the alcohol in them was of average amount. Our waiter. He got every order correct and was consistent with checking on us. He brought found out in a timely fashion and waited for me because I was sitting between both tables. He seemed to have another big party as well. However, the only thing is that he seemed slightly annoyed NOT rude just bothered. We would definitely return again if back in the area. Right now it is tough to service the public so I understand our waiter may have been overwhelmed, please be kind to our service workers.

John G: Logan Tavern, an old favorite over the years, haven’t frequented there as much as I used to. However, I’ve stopped in recently for the greatest drinks made by bartender John. Logan has a great fried chicken classic, with wonderful homemade mashed potatoes and generally Swiss chard… I prefer the asparagus, though, so make sure you ask if you want something different. Chipotle chicken sandwich is wonderful as well, and more recently, I have fallen in love with the pulled pork barbecue sandwich, minus the bun… and a couple extra pickle slices! Bartender John is fantastic at getting your order right, your food tasty, even while I subtract a few calories with a few changes! Thanks John for keeping Logan, local, lovely, and (de)licious!

Patty Cannon: Excellent food & service! The chef came out to meet us and to be certain we were happy! Such a wonderful adventure for us! A large group of 10 and there were several couples enjoying dinner around us...as well as bar seating. Excellent choice for dinner!

courtney mims: Nice place but parking can be a challenge. My husband loved the burger and my sister enjoyed the asparagus salad. The garlic and parmesan fries are yummy but I wasn't a fan of the Buffalo shrimp. It was swimming in sauce and too rich with the blue cheese added. The drinks are good and we love that it is pet-friendly.

Michele R McConnell: We had a great experience. I have a food sensitivity / allergies and they were very accommodating. Aubry was a fabulous server and kept up with our drinks and food. The chef came out and discussed food options for myself and delivered!

Old Ebbitt Grill: what do users think?

Natalia Mednikov: There are straightforward American-style food. This restaurant is best known for its huge old-school oyster bar—think lots of dark wood, brass fixtures, and big mirrors. That oysters was fantastic and fresh. We’ve enjoyed also cheese sampler, fried calamari and baked oysters. Everything they do is absolutely delicious. The service was very fast and friendly. We were happy to choose this great restaurant to end our busy day in Washington, D.C.

Tiberiu Hrihorciuc: Loved the experience! Tasted a dozen oysters and each one was more delicious than the other. Wine is very fairly priced. Saw it more expensive in some New York wine discount stores. The fish was such a huge portion when they split it in two plates we told them that we did not order 2 plates but to our surprise that was a full plate. If you get a chance to go to happy hours for oysters don't hesitate!
Response: Thank you, Tiberiu!

Aditya Karandikar: Had an awesome time here as a late night/ early next day stop. The food was quite nice and fairly refined, especially at such a late hour! The atmosphere was popping as well which made it more enjoyable. Service was very friendly and they had great oysters. Fresh complimentary bread never hurts either…

Sam M: This place is one of the more famous restaurants in DC. I visited this spot during brunch and it was packed. I would definitely recommend making a reservation for both weekend dinner and brunch services. I started with New England clam chowder and some salad dish. For entrees, I got eggs benedict and catfish. All the dishes I ordered were pretty good. But, I definitely enjoyed their desserts more even though I was pretty full before it. Their key lime pie and salted caramel bread pudding were both amazing! Staffs were very accommodating and attentive during the whole service. I’m planning to visit this restaurant and will get some oysters and burgers next time. I heard they are pretty good. I definitely recommend this place to celebrate any special occasions.

Suzi Figueroa: Wow, wow and wow! A friend recommended this establishment to me when I asked for dining recommendations for my upcoming DC trip. I am so glad I listened. The warm and inviting ambiance matched the service. And the food? Oh my goodness. Delicious. My SO ordered meatloaf. Who knew meatloaf could take on a such an extraordinary presentation.
Response: Suzi, Thank you for visiting Old Ebbitt Grill and leaving a great review! We're happy to hear that you enjoyed your experience and we hope to have you back again the next time you're in town.

Mary H: What a DC institution. I've been here numerous times taking "out of town" guests but always failed to write a review... This place is busy and crowded... so make a reservation. Service is attentive and friendly. Try to get a seat in the atrium, much nicer and brighter. *turkey club-generous portions of turkey. It was good and the fries were nice and hot. *salad greens- tasty, I wanted something light. *calamari-nice and crispy. They have a good selection on their menu, we just weren't that hungry. It's kinda the place to go when you visit DC.
Response: Thank you, Mary!

Amy Workman: If you're worried that this a nice place turned tourist trap that cuts corners, worry not. We had a fantastic experience and the food was superb. Our server was in his 9th year here and I wished he could've just sat and talked with us all night. They were wonderfully accommodating and welcoming of our kids, which you definitely can't say about a lot of places. Some places know that if the kids are happy the parents are more than happy to get another round and more dishes. And then when we're sans-kids someday, we'll definitely be back to sit at one of the beautiful bars. We had the walrus raw bar which was perfect for us never having had raw oysters. They did a little of each kind they had that night and I had no idea oysters could taste so different. We had the mussels, kids mac and cheese, and sausage pasta dish. The pasta was house made and the sauce creamy and spicy. So good. After dinner we walked it off around the White House. I've spent much more at restaurants and not gotten half as much food or nearly as good as service, so even though it was our most expensive meal in DC it was also our best value. Definitely a must-go in DC.

Elaine Viegas: AMAZING! There is no other word to describe it. Since we arrived until we paid the service was perfect. I couldn’t be more happy for their food, service and kindness on my birthdays lunch. We didn’t mention that it was my birthday but they saw on my profile and as soon as I arrived they asked to confirm and no only brought my desert with a candle and a cute chocolate happy birthday place on the top. Our server was amazing, she arrived singing happy birthday, was very classy and really surprised me. Thank you for the excellence in your service. BTW the food it’s top quality, my oysters and shrimps were fresh abs really tasteful.

Jelena M: Great food, great price, great service! The waiter we had was so nice, knowledgeable, and friendly! The calamari was very good, but watch out for the spicy peppers in it . My salad was yummy! I usually never order salads, but I am glad I did as the dressing was citrusy and refreshing! They also give warm bread and butter while you wait 😍
Response: Jelena, Thank you for stopping by Old Ebbitt Grill and leaving a great review! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your experience and look forward to having you back again soon!

Matthew Hanna: This was a pretty cool place to eat. It is so old but very nice inside. Lots of preserved animals I didn't expect to see like sea turtles, walrus and more. The food was great and I really liked the drinks. You can still visit and get a really good burger and fries for like $18 or you can go all out and pay $100+ for a super delicious entree. Either way the alcohol is good.

Founding Farmers DC: what do users think?

Erica Anstey: We had a fabulous experience here. It's a very fun atmosphere and the food was delicious. I had the crazy corn chicken salad and it might be my most favorite salad ever. My husband had the southwest chicken salad and my daughter had the chicken and waffles. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Our waitress, Camilla, was fantastic and has a great personality. Everyone working there seemed like they were having a good time.
Response: Thank you so much for your review, Erica! I am glad that you and your family enjoyed their dining experience. Please dine with us again! -Xenia

Tyler Davis: Quality food and drinks! Stopped by while out and about visiting DC with the family. Short walk from several metro stations. Reserved a table during lunchtime the morning we went and was seated minutes after we showed up. Staff was attentive and my drink was never empty. Reasonable prices for the quality food you get considering the location and love the bar menu. Was recommended this place by several people and it was quickly apparent why. Will definitely visit again next time we are in DC!
Response: Awesome! Thank you so much! -Jessica

Konstantinos Rizakos: We were seated promptly at our reservation time. The hosts and servers were polite and effective, albeit the food and drinks took a while to come out. Everything was very very tasty. The meat in particular. Try the prime rib, and the pork chops - but you may want to ask that they cook less than you usually like because ours were slightly over cooked.
Response: Thank you so much for the glowing review! Please come back soon! -Jessica

Kimberly Giang: Omg so yummy. Visited DC for the first time and found this restaurant for breakfast. It definitely did not disappoint! It was so yummy we came back the next morning. We reserved a table online and good thing we did because it gets crowded fast. Our table was ready when we arrived and all of the staff was very friendly. Food came out fast. The French toast was so unique and tasted amazing. I loved the Eggs Benedict and how crispy the hash browns were! Definitely would come back!
Response: Thank you so much for the glowing review!! So glad you enjoyed your first dining experience with us! We look forward to seeing you again soon! -Jessica

Francess Kargbo: I've gone to Founding Farmers for brunch previously, but I'm glad to say I prefer their supper menu. The chicken was well seasoned and juicy. The green beans were fresh, and I substituted mashed potatoes for the honey scotch carrots as the side. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. I definitely suggest this restaurant as a dinner option; you will like it.

WooDo Jedi: Good service! Our server was outstanding. (Front hostess and host didn’t make us feel welcome though - we felt like cattle coming through the door). Our orders came our timely and had that flavor profile that spoke of home. We would definitely return here!
Response: Though the welcome was not warm, we are thrilled you enjoyed the meal and service! We look forward to your next visit and giving you a great experience from start to finish! -Tiffany

Peter Shaw: Great food and coffee, albeit slightly over priced. The beignets were very very good. Personally don't think the egg scramble was worth ordering. Service was good but the food came out rather slowly. Waited a good 45 min for food to come out.
Response: Hi, Peter. I am very sorry you waited so long for your breakfast order. We appreciate your patience and look forward to seeing you again! :) -Kerry

Frankie Painter: This is our 3rd time here and WOW, everything we’ve ever ordered has been amazing! We always start with the honey cornbread and this time I got Scallops Meunière with butternut squash risotto and my husband got catfish with grits and green beans. My scallops were cooked to perfection - they cut like butter. The atmosphere here is warm and cozy but lively, although there were way less people this time because of social distancing restrictions. Our waiter was super! We had to show an ID and proof of vaccination. Highly, highly recommend!!
Response: Thank you so much for the amazing review, Frankie! We are so thrilled to read that you and your husband enjoyed your visit with us! We aim to give you a great experience on your 4th visit also! Thank you so much for dining with us! -Najjah :)

Ying Liang: Friend took me here for dinner when I visited DC. We went on a late weekday evening. Definitely call for reservations ahead of time because it was incredibly crowded. I’m not sure how long we would’ve had to wait if we didn’t plan for that. Our waitress was very nice, food took a while, probably because it was so busy! So plan some time to catch up and relax. It was sort of dark and loud but the restaurant still had nice ambiance. I got the chicken and waffles… and oh my goodness, it was the best fried chicken and the best waffles I’ve ever had. So freaking good. The green beans were crunchy/fresh and the mac and cheese was decent. Not sure what sauce it came with but I was enjoying it! I would probably try to get here for early brunch next time instead. Definitely recommend you stop by if you get the chance.
Response: Thank you so much for the glowing review. Please come back soon! -Jessica

Goose Prevot: Stumbled upon this restaurant while walking over towards the Lincoln Memorial. The atmosphere was awesome. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I liked that the craft cocktail spirits were distilled by the restaurant. We were able to purchase a bottle to take home as well. The food was very tasty. It is a definite try if you are around the area.
Response: Awesome! I'm so glad you enjoyed everything. Please come back soon!- Amber

SUCCOTASH: what do users think?

Rachel Murphy: Ordered the taste of the south. The food was overall pretty good, plentiful and the sampler was a nice way to try many things. Full orders at other tables looked very large. Sadly the overall experience was not great and I’d probably not return. A couple small things combined were disappointing. A raw piece of chicken replaced with a piece way over cooked (clearly the kitchen was mad) - we never ever send food back but raw chicken we did. The manager seemed to place blame on us (a lucky chicken vein). I have a shellfish allergy and asked if possible to get a scoop of the grits(without shrimp) just to taste and that was ignored. Wasn’t looking to substitute but it would have been nice (or told not possible if the shrimp was cooked in). Then a 4 top was placed at a table next to us when the restaurant was fairly empty with many open tables in the same server section. In covid times seemed odd. Plenty of brunch places in dc so I’ll try others instead of returning

Dominique: Came here for dinner while visiting a friend in the DMV area. The ambiance is nice. It's large with ample seating. It's dim-lit giving that romantic vibe. My friend and I both ordered the Belle's Punch to start. It has both vodka and bourbon, but the mango-flavored vodka, ginger and mint mask the alcohol. We got the cornbread cakes to start. We could have skipped it. They were small donut hole-sized. Wasn't like traditional cornbread and we weren't really a fan. The rest of the meal was great though. I ordered the shrimp and grits which was truly delicious. Loved the shrimp in it. It was cooked perfectly and all the flavors of the meal came together really well. My friend got the chicken and waffles with the largest pieces of fried chicken I've ever seen. My other friend ordered the Dirty chicken which had honey gochujang so it was pretty spicy. There was no sides that came with it, but the portion size was gigantic. She thought it was delicious, but couldn't really handle the heat. Overall, the meal was good, but the service left something to be desired. Perhaps the server was having a bad day, but we had to prompt him to come by first to take our orders and then throughout the whole meal down to getting the check. The issue was that with the other tables he was far more attentive. That definitely shouldn't deter anyone from going here. The meal was great and it's worth coming here for the food.

Bwalya: Was looking for a brunch place in a pinch and was referred here by a friend. This place was perfect! Service was exemplary from the moment we walked through the door to when our server returned our cards. She was humorous, patient, and extremely helpful. The drinks were great and the food was worth traversing DC for, I'll be back for sure 👍🏿

Aaron Renshaw: Had a great time here. Lots of care taken with both menu and bar options. Everything we had was top notch and ample portions. Cocktails were great and our bartender, Rafael, was fantastic! This will absolutely be on my list for a return visit when I'm back to DC

Miracle Reason: Absolutely loved this place! I went with my cousin for her birthday. The restaurant itself is a vibe - Beautiful seating/ decor, perfect for a classy dinner. Service was amazing shout out to Kayla who took great care of us. Drinks were delicious. Had my 1st proper whiskey sour with egg white. She had the cactus rose, a tequila drink. For starters we had Wings and the fried green tomato salad- Amazing, ESPECIALLY the wings. I had the chicken and waffles and when I say that was probably the best waffle & syrup I have ever had I'm not over exaggerating. The chicken was nice and crispy. She had the shrimp and grits which was very flavorful. I highly recommend.

Brenna Belletti: Delicious food & drinks at a great price point. The other reviews are correct on here about the service, it's extremely slow. We had to ask to pack up the rest of our order so that we wouldn't miss our show at Ford's theater even though we gave ourselves a few hours for dinner! We got the taste of the south courses dinner so that we could try a little bit of everything and it was fantastic!

K R: Succotash kinda sucked…. The atmosphere was great, our waiter Mike was patient and kind and we loved his service! When it came to the food it was disappointing- sticky buns: dry, waffles: hard, hang over special: salty, with gravy on a fried egg instead of the biscuit… why?… If you’re coming for food lower your expectations. If you’re coming to feel sophisticated yet comfy you’re in the right spot. I also noticed the people next to us not finish their food. Worth noting.

Bryan Mroz: Went on a Friday evening. It was full but we had reservations and we were seated quickly. Service was a bit slow but our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. Food was perfect. We had Shrimp and Grits and Catfish. Great ambiance. There was love music mostly soul and jazz.

Vin D Sr.: Amazing menu and a fine meal. Staff was great and we enjoyed the atmosphere! Chicken and waffles outstanding as was the smoked steak! Sides were awesome too! So good we had to take a few orders to go! Highly recommend. Make a rez to secure a table at this hot spot.

Chris Taylor: Amazing space with comfy booths. They had live music which was a nice touch. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was good, I enjoyed some food came as starters. Loved the milk punch cocktail and the honey old fashioned. A good spot.

Blue Duck Tavern: what do users think?

Jennifer 怡慧 Lin: Came to DC for the cherry blossoms and to celebrate our anniversary. So glad we were able to get a reservation on a Saturday night. We loved everything we ordered, the beef rib was so flavorful but tender, the striped bass is light but fresh and the texture of the fish was so soft, the side order of cauliflower has great flavor and with a crispy outside, almost greens beans blended really well with the mushroom. We also got an apple pie as dessert, the pie crust is extremely thin but flaky, the apple filling is tangy but remains a very good texture (not overly soft). We couldn't finish it so took it back to our hotel and ate it the next morning, it still tasted really good! The whole experience sitting right in front of the open kitchen was really cool, we were able to see the chef dedicatedly finishing every dish before serving it. We really enjoyed our visit at the Blue Duck Tavern and we're impressed by the quality of each dish here.

Michelle Wiciak: Absolutely phenomenal. This place has the best duck ever. Honestly, everything we had was amazing--from the charcuterie board to the horseradish potatoes to the chocolate peanut butter cake. A well-rounded meal. Not to mention, our waiter did an excellent job at recommending our wine selection and paired beautifully with our dishes. Just an amazing experience and will come back when we are in the city again.

Tilak Kalaria: Blue Duck Tavern in the Park Hyatt is an amazing dining experience. The ambience and the service match the excellent cocktails, wine, and cuisine. You truly get what you pay for and you do pay don’t get me wrong but WoW everything tastes excellent and the service team’s attention to detail elevates the experience. The bone marrow and the duck were my favourite dishes to name a couple. Intriguingly delicious was their house bread with olives! Excellent dining experience that is worth the price. Cheers.

Kim Nguyen: Wow. We were so impressed with the quality of the food here. It’s my first time in DC and after a bit of researching for fine dining restaurant, we decided to try Blue Duck Tavern. I was able to make a last minute reservation for 2 at 8:30pm. Their bone marrow and duck breast were so bomb. The service was amazing as well. Highly recommend!

Jerry’s Adventure: Service, value, flavor it hits all the marks The short ribs were tender and melts in your mouth. And with a smoky flavor 👌 the egg 🥚 is cooked perfectly as it gives a creamy texture to the dish. The biscuit holds up with good structure, but it’s flavor may not be as accentuated as it can be (mostly herbs) and can use a gravy. Pancakes were fluffy as expected and presentation is beautiful 😌 Overall a must go in DC area

Jim Baker: Went here on a recommendation from a friend, and while the food was very good and the service was attentive, we just weren't as blown away as we expected, especially at the price point. The short rib hash was a just little low on flavor and the Pork Belly Benedict seemed a little clumsy with how the pickled vegetables, basically a lot of carrots, were assembled together. Again, others might completely disagree with this, so go and try and make up your own mind, it just won't become a staple for us.

Michael B: This was a very nice restaurant. But honestly, none of the food was that memorable. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere was nice, but for this price point I expect to die and go to heaven. I just wasn't feeling it. Nothing was wrong, but I wasn't blown away.

Vivian Cheng: Went for lunch. Food is solid, well-executed. We had the cured ocean trout (delicious!) and the kale salad (perfect) with two entrees. Crab cakes are large and delicious. Well seasoned, paired with a salad. I had the confit duck leg. Flavorful, succulent, with a beautiful crispy skin. Sadly, we were too full for dessert. Well-worth a visit.

Tamila Torab Eghdami: It was my first time eating duck. The food was absolutely delicious! 😋 The service was amazing. Too bad we didn’t have time to go back for the second time but next time I’m in Washington definitely we’ll go back. We also tried their apple pie with tea and it was the best apple pie I ever had in my whole life. This restaurant worth your money and time!

Amer Alsamman: Went for our anniversary. The staff were curtious, and friendly. Our waiter went above and beyond to make make our experience great The apple pie was amazing. I had the beef rib which was good but had more fat veins than expected.

Ben's Next Door: what do users think?

E Gilbert: My best friend came into town and we want to do something fun so we went to Ben Next Door we had a ball. The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious 😋. The music selection was on point to match the unlimited mimosas that came in 3 types cranberry, pineapple, or orange juice. I will definitely be visiting again soon. The only thing I did not like were the bathrooms they were not being kept up at all I went to the two located towards the back and the back of the toilet was missing from one hopefully this will be fixed. But there was toilet paper, running water, and soap so I was good. I definitely recommend checking out the brunch here.

Philip Wilson: This spot has been a neighborhood staple for more than a decade.. and the only thing consistent - is their inconsistency. I came back today after taking a 5/6 month break and I'm underwhelmed. The new decor is blue and black, which almost never does well in a space that's designed to be a restaurant. Blue is an appetite killer. And with the new pallette, they've done away with the amazing local art that used to adorn the walls. The new calamari blend came out burnt and chewy.. I couldn't eat it. The new chicken tender coating is great. I wasn't excited about paying 20 for a cocktail, but that seems to be the price point for their top shelf spirit. Looks like I'll be on another 6 month hiatus.

Aaron Wilson, Jr.: Brought the family here during our trip to D.C. and glad we came! I was wary when the Uber pulled up and I felt the club vibes pulsating out of the front door...we had the progeny with us. (Side note...I would have hated to try to find parking. Uber or walk if you can.) Hostess took us through the front, by the bar, past the open area of seats and up the stairs to a loft area that was away from the bar and had another family sitting there as well. Our waitress came and apologized for the wait in getting to us (it wasn't THAT long but the gesture was appreciated). She was friendly and very responsive, even jovial with the kids. Our food came correctly and without delay...and maaaaan was it good! Collectively, we had the chicken and waffles, grits, quesadilla and cheese fries. There's always a concern when having chicken and waffles because chicken breast can be dry depending on who cooks them...Ben hooked it up. Benny was moist. Benny was juicy. Benny was what we call...delectable. Topped it all off with the cheesecake and the bread pudding....zero complaints all around. Definitely returning when we come back to DC.

Makeda Fox: The food was sooo good !! I got the shrimp and grits, along with the bread pudding for dessert. Very flavorful, the vibe was amazing. Our waiter Kash was very entertaining, attentive and funny. BEST waiter EVER. 10/10 I recommend!!

JENNii: Good spot for a casual Sunday brunch with friends. It’s right next to the famous ben’s chili bowl on U street. They food and service was good as well. I would definitely come back to this restaurant.

Toshia Brown: Very nice vibe, excellent food, no mambo sauce or cornbread muffins but the kale was so scrumptious and tender; seasoned to perfection

Bryanna Edwards: Ronnie is my boy! I met him my first time and fell in love. But then came when he was off and I regret it. But anyway the food is amazing and I love Ronnie's service! He is the best! This is my go to for my "mom date" every Friday early happy hour. Will keep coming back!!!

Gaelle Claude: The service may be a bit slow but their food is pretty good. I tried their burger and it was amazing! The picture may seem basic but it was bomb! I’ve been there on occasions where I ordered the chicken and waffle, which I would rate 7/10 because the chicken is a bit salty. I loved the cocktail I ordered I believe it’s called a chi-chi colada.. amazing! 10/10. The fish and grits is pretty good, I would rate it 8/10. My friend says the salmon meal was decent but she didn’t enjoy the sugar on her sweet potato fries. Due to slow service over all experience is 7/10

Josephs Boy: I really enjoyed this place & the owner was really nice. I enjoyed the history of the restaurant that was shared. I sat outside it was live but I enjoyed it. The Jerk Pasta was delicious and the mambo wings were the perfect appetizer (u can always tell when people take pride in what they serve). I will definitely be back my next trip to DC.

ajia brown: Ate brunch here and the food and atmosphere was perfect. Black owned restaurant filled with lots of people the line is always LONG

CIRCA at Foggy Bottom: what do users think?

Krystal Styles: My family and I came here for dinner before going to a musical at the Kennedy Center, since it is within walking distance. The food was excellent and the customer service was great. I had the Shotgun Shrimp for an appetizer and the Wild Mushroom Ravioli for my entree'. Both were delicious and I would order these dishes if I came back again. For dessert I had the Key Lime Pie and it was just ok. I have had better elsewhere and probably wouldn't get it again, but it definitely wasn't bad. Overall, my family and I enjoyed our experience and we would go back again if in the area.
Response: Hi Krystal, Thank you so much for dining with us and providing your feedback! I'm so happy to hear that you enjoyed your meals. I apologize that our Key Lime Pie wasn't your favorite. I am hopeful that you will enjoy other desserts of ours during your next visit. Kindest regards, Maggie (Brand + Community Manager)

Kelly Crenshaw: We were going to another spot and one of my group said "what about here" as we came out of metro. They had a large party cancel so we were able to get in. Everything was great. Food was fantastic and we all were happy leaving. The mac and cheese might be there best I have ever had. I been thinking about and I can not remember a better bowl of mac and cheese... it was that good.
Response: Hi Kelly! Thanks so much for dining with us and providing your feedback. I am happy that you stumbled upon us and even happier that your group enjoyed everything - especially the mac and cheese. I hope that you will find us again in the future! Kindest regards, Maggie (Brand + Community Manager)

andrew: Super cute place for brunch. My friend made a reservation for Sunday at 11am which is also when they open. It's a lovely place and prices are standard for this type of restaurant. We each started with a hot coffee and and then ordered our meals. I had the Fried Chicken Sandwich, served with sweet potato fries. Fried chicken was hot and crispy and the fries were fresh and crunchy. Exactly what i needed. My friend had the Avocado Toast, which looked really good but i didn't not try it. Service was fast and friendly. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated outside and the weather was perfect. Located next to Whole Foods. I believe it's just street parking, but Whole Foods has a parking garage and it's free for the first 90 minutes.

Noah Wahquahboshkuk: CIRCA has a great atmosphere and friendly staff. The jambalaya didn't really taste like a classic jambalaya but their spin was pretty tasty! The noodles used were great but could have been more plentiful in comparison to the proteins. The Austin Cabernet was amazing. Will make my way back soon.

Jessica R: We decided to come here on a whim and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We came for more of a late lunch/early dinner and even though we did not have reservations they still were able to seat us. They did have to seat us in their outdoor area, which was a little chilly but perfectly fine. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. The food was great! I got the blackened chicken mango salad and my mom got the barbecue chicken flatbread. Both were very good
Response: Hi Jessica, We are so glad that you found us and even happier to hear that you enjoyed your experience! Hopefully we can host you inside next time! Kindest regards, Maggie (Brand + Community Manager)

Ed Tracy: Wow! First visit and it was quite memorable. Jambalaya entree Most Excellent. The chef worked some magic to get the best of the shrimp into the sauce. Butterflying the shrimp was also great for bit size. Brussels sprouts app, Most Excellent. Maybe best I've ever had. We got the bacon on the side. Crispy yet surrounded by soft blue cheese and a slightly sweet vinaigrette sauce. Vegetarian wife loved it too. Pumpkin ravioli were really good, a bit too sweet for my taste. Mash potatoes were good. Ask for table bread and butter. OMG, their house herb butter is fluffy and delicious. Also loved their custom concoction drinks. The Black Manhattan and the Maple Old Fashioned were smooth and delish! (the Maple OF is girl-friendly)
Response: Hi Ed, We are so happy you found us and enjoyed your first dining experience! Thank you for your support; we look forward to hosting you next time. Cheers! Kindest Regards, Maggie (Brand + Community Manager)

Lori Kusterer-Farley: Great dining experience for our family ! Foodie place ! Loved the outdoor tent with heaters. Burger, wings and shrimp salad were amazing! Would definitely return ! Walking distance to a DuPont circle.

Ron Milkowski: Stopped in for a quick drink. Great bartender. Seems like a college crowd. Would definitely be back for dinner. Recommended.
Response: Hi Ron! Thanks for stopping in! I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed our bartender. We are looking forward to your next visit for dinner! Kindest regards, Maggie (Brand + Community Manager)

Jessica Morales: This lovely corner is perfect, the menu is not big, but it has a good selection of different options. We had as an appetizer tuna poke nachos, the flavor combination and the fresh tuna was so delicious, and as a entree jambalaya, the spicy was on point and the penne pasta cooked to perfection, my husband ordered a braised short rib, the meat was so tender, the mash potatoes has this smooth texture so perfect. Thank you Michael, great service.
Response: Hi Jessica! Thanks so much for your rating! We are so happy that you enjoyed your experience with us. We are looking forward to hosting you again soon. Kindest Regards, Maggie (Brand + Community Manager)

Tran Kim-Senior: My husband and I came here with some friends before going to a show at the Kennedy Center. The food was good--he had rainbow trout and I had blackened salmon and our friends each had burgers. The ambiance is energetic and on the louder side which was fine for our purposes but if you're looking for a romantic, more quiet ambiance, I wouldn't recommend this spot. The bar menu looked good and varied though we're not big drinkers so we can't provide any feedback on the drinks. There was also a nice patio if you're looking for good outdoor seating.
Response: Hi Tran, Thank you so much for dining with us and providing your feedback. I am happy to see that you enjoyed your experience. We hope that you will visit us again soon! Kindest regards, Maggie (Brand + Community Manager)

The Lafayette: what do users think?

Laura Xu Chen: Second time back in DC for a weekend and we are in Hay Adams again after 10 years. The food never disappoints and in fact everything was superb! Rack of lamb and Crab gnocchi were excellent. You have to order the soufflé! The ambiance was fine dining yet the wait staff are so warm and pleasant! We stayed for a 3 hour dinner and it was a beautiful and elegant experience

Adam Galazka: Amazing restaurant located in the Hay Adams hotel. Reservations were done via Google and confirmed by the restaurant a couple days in advance. Table was ready 45 minutes in advance. Their customer service from initial greeting through the whole dinner was amazing. Very good wine menu and you also have a cocktail menu as well. We tried a mushroom soup and octopus for appetizers. Ordered chicken breast and bronzini for main course. For our dessert we had creme Brule. Everything was amazing and tasty. We will definitely come back.

波。真秀ᶘ oᴥoᶅ: We went to the Lafayette for breakfast. Our waiter, Emmanuel, was extremely friendly, humorous and attentive. The French Toast came with hot maple syrup and the Lafayette Eggs Royale were accompanied by hollandaise sauce, which blended well with the rich salmon and eggs.

Shawni McGraw: We decided on this restaurant to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary because of the spectacular views and ambience. When we found out that the view we were seeking was not available, the manager went above and beyond to get a private tour of just that view. He wanted our day to be special and he did just that. The food was fabulous and everyone is so customer focused. The mood was romantic with the live piano player and decor. I highly recommend this restaurant for your special day.

CRPARK LLC: Fine dining at its best. After graduation dinner with great down town DC vibe. Service was superior and the environment, on point.

Jenovie Yoka: The food was really good and tasty. The prices are also fair but I did not like the service at all. Furthermore, it was simply awful! The servers that had us that night( a man and a lady) were just not professional and welcoming at all. The were working like they were forced to take care of us. We reserved the private room for a special occasion (my sister engagement) and those two servers made us have a very bad experience. Especially the lady when it can to the moment to pay the restaurant bill. In the other hand the meals and the drinks were simply amazing!

Michael O'Reilly: **FUTURE VISITORS: THEY NO LONGER DO ROOFTOP DINING** This is a fantastic restaurant in a fantastic hotel, but they no longer do anything on the roof. The roof is now reserved for events and such, which is truly disappointing. What’s the point in going anymore? The ambience of the restaurant is nice, but not nice enough to justify going. The food is great, but there are better, cheaper options throughout DC. It is all fairly expensive as well, and for what? One of the main reasons to go was for the wonderful view, but if I no longer have access to that, then the Lafayette is no longer a #1 choice.

Stacy: Good but too expensive. The servers were all so friendly and helpful. It was unbelievably fancy. You are clearly paying for the experience.

Eduardo Rukos: Beautiful & very well executed French inspired menu with a lot of highlights. The staff was amazing and the desserts are pieces of art.

Mark Blanchard: Hands down the most beautiful venue in DC (at least when it was up on the top floor through the pandemic). Great food, great view from the top floor, and friendly staff.

Ted's Bulletin: what do users think?

Michelle Wiciak: The food was excellent, although the corned beef hash was extremely salty. I loved the smoked salmon rangoons, and thought it was the highlight of the meal. The biscuits and gravy were also stellar too, and that dish was HUGE. I enjoyed the banana cream pie, but thought the crust was too thick. The only downside was that the place was a bit too loud music-wise and our server seemed disinterested in serving us

Alex teufel: This was the most pleasant restaurant experience I’ve ever had. I am from out of town.First off, they asked if there was any food allergies before taking orders and bringing food, and as a person with a food allergy this was super cool, and something more restaurants should do! Tiffany was a phenomenal waitress, best server I’ve ever had. Polite, and thoughtful staff, short wait, GREAT food. 10/10 recommend!!

Deana Bushell: The Strawberry lemonade was delish...the fried pickles were the perfect starter for our meal. Also had the Chicken Parmesan with a side of Brussel Sprouts with blue cheese and bacon. More than I could eat and very tasty. Great local place with a wonderful atmosphere.

Noah Vaughan: Great place. I've gone by a few times but the wait was always too long (reservations highly encouraged!) so was excited to get in there today. Had the tamarind coated wings to start and they were amazing. Lunch was steak and a Cesar salad, both really good. My only complaint is that I was only a bite or two into my appetizer when my meal and salad arrived. I finished my wings, are my salad, and the steak and fries were cold by the time I got to them. Still good, but would have been even better warm.

Sarah: Delicious entree meals and really the main sell. 5 star for food, 3 star waitress. Will definitely be back for the entree meals because the cooks know what they are doing! I was very excited for the pop tarts but filling is only within the very center of them and it would have been ten times better taste-wise if it was served warm. Service was extremely slow and our waitress did not refill our water glasses and we had to wait an extremely long time to get our bill to leave. Food (excluding dessert) and environment great, but service may need some improvement especially since it was not very busy and we still waited a long time for waitress to come back to the table to ask about dessert and then again to get the bill (1.5 hours for two people to eat).

Charlotte Meindersma (Charlotte's Law): We had a Ted’s tart, which was really good. The dough is soft shortbread cookie like. Fresh iced tea was good. And we tried the loaded tots. Outside seating is really nice. Not all servers are as friendly as we’d hoped for, the girl who helped us most was very helpful and friendly.

Michelle Owen: Fabulous eatery situated in East Market Washington DC...fabulous interior featuring art deco decor. At the back dining g area are many booths, you can even watch old movies from an old projector. The service was terrific, the food excellent and the vibe friendly and happy. The menu was great, not too big, not too small. The coffee was excellent as was my Peach Bellini. It's true...the cinnamon rolls are "as big as ya head".

Amreen Shafiuddin: seemed like a small cafe from outside but they have a indoor seating place for brunch !!! looked like a upscale place.. people were posh there !!! the room had ample sunlight and it was all lit.. the tables were big enough for 6 people to sit comfortably. Our server was sweet and friendly.. people even clicked our photos without us asking for help !!! the food was amazing.. i would give it 15/10… we ordered 5 different dishes.. none disappointed… The big mark breakfast was super filling.. avocado toast was presented well and quite filling as to was on the lighter fair.. the stand out dishes were the Country fried chicken and Grilled salmon !!! omg amazing flavours !!! soooo yummm !! definitely coming back here for eating this again !!!

Cory Schwab: Delicious breakfast! And the homemade pop tart was a nice surprise. Coffee could have been a little stronger but still tasted good!

Scott T: Great general breakfast fare. I had eggs, bacon, gluten free toast, and hash browns. She had avocado toast. Both were excellent, but that's not why you are reading this review. We came here for the homemade pop tarts and they were excellent. They would have been better warm, but because of a lawsuit, that is no longer allowed. The table next to us got the massive cinnamon roll and we decided to get one as well. (Back story, I have a mild wheat allergy which often makes my stomach hurt when I eat wheat. I didn't learn of this until 2021 and had eaten wheat all my life and thought the pain was normal. So I generally avoid wheat, but on certain occasions, will eat it and deal.) The cinnamon roll was the star of the show. It was huge, 4 adults could easily share this. From the photo, you can see my plan... work to the middle. They serve the roll without the icing/sauce and pour it on at the table. Every bite was fabulous, but the middle, oh my the middle, was insanely good. It was so warm and soft, covered in tasty goodness, by far the best roll I've ever eaten. When in DC, take a detour to one of these restaurants locations and grab a pop tart and a cinnamon roll, you won't be disappointed.

Hard Rock Cafe: what do users think?

Kelvin Ofula: A typical Hard Rock Cafe in the heart of DC. Strategically positioned. Loved the interior deco and their food. The staff were once again as amazing as always and very helpful. The lady at the souvenir shop was very very helpful and friendly. I loved every single bit here. The ambiance was great and so was the music. Hard Rock is just pure positive vibrations and I always try to visit one when in an area with one. I would totally recommend.
Response: Thank you for the thoughtful 5 star review Kelvin! We hope to welcome you back to the Washington DC cafe soon!

Matt Daniel: A classic Hard Rock Cafe in the heart of DC. A great layout within what appears to be a old fashioned restaurant or bar. The rock n roll decor is seamlessly integrated into the Art Deco along the walls. The staff were very hospitable and I recommend making a reservation as you can ask for better seating up stairs or in the back. There was one tv above the bar featuring music videos of various famous rock n roll bands. The pricing was reasonable for the area and the options for food were good with large portions. I’d recommend to stop by if you haven’t been, hope this helps!
Response: Thank you for the thoughtful 5 star review Matan! We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit!

Yogis Dogie: Nice place to visit in DC. Extremely busy but very nicely decorated. Unfortunately the food is very mediocre. Looks great, tastes bland and almost always served cool or cold. The hamburgers have an odd seasoning in them that can be off putting. Fries are good but the portion is pretty small (in relation to the price). The gift shop is well stocked. The rewards program changes its guidelines too frequently and dumps points out too often to be useful. Basically, it’s a nice place to visit, but one visit is plenty.
Response: Dear Yogis, Thank you for visiting HRC DC and taking the time to provide your feedback! Please accept my apologizes for not delivering a 5 star experience, if there is ever anything we can do to assist on your next visit please do not hesitate to reach out to the management team at Washington_DC_Social@hardrock.com Thank you, Sara Lester - Sales & Marketing Manager

Adam: It's just your typical Hard Rock Cafe. Good food and drinks. No wait. Our waiter, Terry, was very attentive and polite. Great place to grab a bite when touring DC. *please note* you get more onion rings than pictured!
Response: Hello Adam, Thank you so much for your recent review of the Hard Rock Cafe in Washington D.C. We appreciate the 5 star review! Best regards, Erik Bolme General Manager Hard Rock Cafe Washington D.C.

Bailey Alexander: This was my third time eating at this particular Hard Rock Cafe! This location really stands out. It’s in the heart of the city so it’s really nice to tour monuments an things and then ride electric scooters to here and park them. Then you can relax and unwind, ride scooters back around to tour more things in DC. The food is always very flavorful and good. The drinks are always perfect. This location has an excellent modern style with lots of arts and things on the walls. I highly recommend checking this place out while in DC.
Response: Hello Bailey Alexander, Thank you so much for the 5 star review! Best regards, Erik Bolme General Manager Hard Rock Cafe Washington D.C.

David Arrimadas: Very good Hard Rock restaurant. I have been in lot of them all over the world and this is a very good one. I love the open kitchen concept and the kindness of all the staff. The brownie is delicious and soooo big. Difficult to finish it even when sharing!
Response: Hello David Arrimadas, Thank you so much for your 5 star review! Best regards, Erik Bolme General Manager Hard Rock Cafe Washington D.C.

WorldofDaph: I try to go to hard rock in every city I visit and usually it is a pleasant experience but not today. I came to this location and sat down in the bar area waiting 10-15 minutes for someone to take a drink order. Considering how tired and hungry I was I had no energy to even leave. One of he waitresses at the bar looked at me and my fiancé multiple times and never came over. She was behind the bar scratching her back under her shirt and didn’t even wash her hands. When she finally came to our table she pulled out her cellphone to text someone. Having been a service manager in restaurant for years I was completely dumbfounded at the disrespect. I’m a pretty mild mannered fair person but this Waitress was awful. I will say the kitchen staff was doing a great job. They were pushing food out but the servers just weren’t running food which caused it to just sit in the window. The receipt said the waitress name was Sara. All I know is Sara needs to be demoted to hostess or let go. Upon leaving I brought these things to the managers attention but I could tell she didn’t really care. She offered to give me her card. That’s won’t do much at all. I watch the manager stand on the expo line and watch plates die in the window. Saturdays can be quite tough and she was probably tired and over it herself. All in all I will never return to this location.
Response: Hello WorldofDaph, Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent visit. What you experienced is absolutely not the type of authentic Hard Rock atmosphere we strive to provide. I apologize that your concerns were not addressed when you brought them to the attention of the manager on duty, we will make sure they are addressed immediately. If you have the time to discuss your experience in further detail you can reach our management team at: Washington_DC_Social@hardrock.com I do appreciate your recognition of the Kitchen Staff and will happily share your praise with them! I hope that we can connect further on email. Thank you, Sara Lester - Sales & Marketing Manager

gary becker: We had a party of 16 people. We went to Hard Rock Cafe because my previous experience at other HRCs was exceptional. Great customer service, but not at this location. We only had one server that rarely attended to our table. Drinks were empty most of the time. I asked 4 times for artificial sweetener and still never got it. I asked 3 times for a ice tea refill and it was refilled only once. Others in our party had the same experience. Tables around us were messy with food on the floor around us from previous customers and it was never tended to. The experience was so disappointing that I spoke with the manager on shift. All she said was that every restaurant was under staffed and service everywhere was impacted. Rather than take responsibility, she only verbalized excuses. Without even attempting to make the situation right. My hamburger was satisfactory, but the French frys were ice cold. I informed our waiter and all he did was say that due to our party size, some food had to sit awhile while waiting for other orders to be filled. Absolutely ZERO customer service. I even apologized to each member of our party for the poor experience they received because it was that bad. Saddens me that a HRC would allow it's service to get to this degraded level. Update: Connected with Sara Lester, Hard Rock Café Sales and Marketing Manager. Sara reassured me that all the issues I brought to her attention would be immediately addressed. As with any business or organization. There will be times a product fails or a process / service does not meet expectations. It happens to everyone. But what they do next is what really matters. Sara detailed the steps they would take to correct the situation to ensure future customers receive “Best In Class” service and food. Sara has regained our confidence in Hard Rock Café and we look forward to our next visit.
Response: Dear Gary, I really appreciate you taking the time to share about your experience. This is not the level of service Hard Rock aims to deliver. The details you shared will be very helpful in coaching our team to improve so that this does not happen again. Are you still in the DC area? I would like to invite you back as my VIP guests so that I can ensure you receive the service you deserve. Please feel free to reach out to me at Washington_DC_Social@hardrock.com Thank you, Sara Lester - Sales & Marketing Manager

Arthur Hurlburt: We would give it five stars but we ate so much that it upset our stomachs. I suppose I can't blame them for that! The burgers are good, the chicken fingers are better. They are real chicken, battered beautifully. Very, very good. Their t-shirts are pricey, but that's too be expected. The brownie sundae was amazing! Big enough to share.
Response: Hello Arthur Hurlburt! Thank you for your feedback! Best regards, Erik Bolme General Manager Hard Rock Cafe Washington D.C.

Rachel Cook: We had a very large group with reservations. They were not prepared. Some of the staff was great, but others were not. The food, for those who actually got food, was mediocre. If this continues, the DC Hard Rock will suffer the same fate as others around the country...permanently closed. It is disappointing 😞
Response: Dear Rachel, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. I hope that you can accept my apologizes for not being prepared and delivering a 5 star experience. I am glad that there were a few staff members that were great. We are grateful for your patronage and will continue to strive for improvement so we can better tend to your group on the next visit. Thank you, Sara Lester - Sales & Marketing Manager

Martin's Tavern: what do users think?

Jeannie Hill: We both love historical sites and on multiple occasions have gone to Martin’s Tavern when visiting Washington DC and the Georgetown area. We’ve been privileged to converse with the owner and his daughter to say thanks in person for the food and service. I would guess they do a great job of making each individual dining feel special. The quaint great atmosphere, fantastic food and excellent service add to the fun experience of “stepping back in time”. The individual booths and tables are sufficiently intimate enough for a wonderful dinner and the feel of private conversations. It is remarkable at Christmas time in the midst of festivities; the images attached here are from two years ago. They decorated superbly for the holiday which makes it very homey and celebratory! A lovely mix of people of people groups and whole families dine here. Give yourself enough time to look around and take in dessert, too. The staff was friendly, professional and busy. The menu offers a great selection and everything that we’ve tasted has been enjoyable! Martin’s Irish Coffee, Bloody Mary’s, Mimosas, First Lady Cocktail with a nice raspberry twist, Hot Chocolate, Lobster Risotto, Crab Cakes, Martin’s Shrimp & Gritts, Shepherd’s Pie with Lamb, and Grandma Martin’s Meatloaf are all items that I can recommend. I highly recommend visiting – even during the lunch hour, it may be best to make a reservation as the place is a favorite for locals as well as a destination for out-of-state guests. With its BIG history, it’s rather small in size and tucked on the street corner. It’s not easy to find parking, but definitely worth a good walk.

H D: Delicious turkey dinner with sweet potato purée and green beans. Fair salad and French onion soup. Good service. Decent prices for the portion size. And a very nice, classic atmosphere with interesting history. Does not feel stodgy.

Gerald Brown: We had a proper breakfast here: challah French toast with sausage, bacon, home fries and hot chocolate. Everything was good.

Mica Ann: Make sure to make a reservation as this place gets packed quickly. With its rich history and good food, this is a must visit for every tourist. Like me. There’s no guarantee you will get the historic table you are eyeing. With a reservation, you just might. If there’s a special occasion, include that too in your note. We went for brunch and everything we ordered are good. They offer typical American fair but it’s so tasty. We ordered the corned beef hash and two orders of eggs benedicts (I forgot which one). One order, my mother in law and I split coz we just came from breakfast. lol.

Richard Nelson: I think this place is more of an experience place rather than a enjoy eating place. The seats were kinda uncomfy and wasn't much space on the table. The food was average tasting and pricey for the portion size. I think its just a historic restaurant. We went during the christmas season and they had fancy decorations.

Jacqueline Schillinger: Such a charming spot to grab a drink and a bite to eat! Very delicious onion soup and if you’ve never had a hot brown it’s a great place to try it!

Kyya Bassett: The food was awesome and my new york strip was cooked perfectly! My 'chocolate awesome' dessert hit the spot with my chocolate craving! Definitely a place to experience if you are in the area, but expect to pay a pretty penny when you are there.

chparatrooper88: Famous Martin’s Tavern. Restaurant of choice for President’s and the powerful. Try the espresso martini. Local dark beer is worth a look. Pricey, but, worth a look. No veteran discount…fyi.

Dan Yu: Best brunch restaurant I have been to in a while!! Their french onion soup and shepherds pie are amazing!!! Bread pudding makes me feel like I had an American grandma. 10/10

Melissa H: Reservations are a very good idea and strongly recommended. Rich history. Spies, presidents ,senators and the like have all dined here. Lyndon Johnson had a favorite booth. John and Jackie Kennedy were engaged here. We ordered the chowder n shepherds pie. Delish! 4th generation Martin family owns / operates Martin's.

Teddy & The Bully Bar: what do users think?

Liz R: Finally made it for brunch here. I've been wanting to check it out for a while. More of a fine dining experience. Less laid back. Appears that customer service is prized very high here. Food was good - smaller servings than necessary. Nice ambience.
Response: Hello Liz, Thank you very much for the detailed review. We look forward to seeing you again. Appreciatively, Alan

Kathy Moore: Fantastic service and a nicely designed setting made our visit memorable. The menu is somewhat limited, but the food was delicious and beautifully pretended. Would like to see more appetizers that are less like side dishes you'd have with dinner. The ladies bathroom gave me a couple of chuckles.

Julleny Wain: Food was really good but pricey. They do have unlimited mimosas if you do the all you can eat which is $50 per person. The portions as small buy again its all you can eat. The chicken and waffles was amazing, they have a waffles station, omelet station.

Alita brown: I came here for the Christmas dinner. I’m giving it a 3 because the service was good. Unfortunately the food was mediocre and extremely overpriced. $70 buffet style. The meat was absolutely dry and tasteless. I tried both the salmon and chicken , but couldn’t bare to eat either. The sides were good but not worth $70. I don’t think I’ll ever have this type of dining experience over the holidays. I will cook my own.
Response: Hello Alita, My sincere apologies on your experience with us on Christmas Day, I wanted to learn more if you could please send me an email at Justin@prghospitality.com I would most diffidently like to invite you back in. Thank you for your feedback and for helping us improve. Thanks

Hyun Kwak: I had a burger with fries along with sparkling water. the quality of service was ok. the burger was great but the fries were not that fresh. I still give them 4 stars. they have a happy hour menu, but the prices were not too different from the full menu. so, please check both menus even if you go there during their HH. happy dining! :)
Response: Hello Hyun, we will work on making sure our fries are fresh and hot. I apologize and hope to see you again. Be Well, Alan

Amy Rosenquist: The food at this place was absolutely delicious! We ordered an omelet, avocado toast, chicken & waffles, and chocolate chip pancake. The mimosas are small but they have a “bottomless” option if you’re looking to have a goooooood time ;) We sat outside and the umbrellas didn’t do much while the sun was still rising, but once it was overhead it was much shadier!

M B: Bottomless brunch offered a variety of foods and consistent pours throughout the duration of our 2-hr table reservation. Some dishes were less impressive than others, but the pricing and overall experience were unbeatable.
Response: Hello MB Thank you for the great review. We appreciate your business. Kindly, Alan Owner

Jason Wallach: Went there for lunch. Excellent food, but a little slow on the delivery if you are trying to grab a "quick" bite, so be sure to tell the staff if you need speedy food delivery. I ordered the pumpkin soup to start, and it was smooth, rich, and sweet with a dollop of olive oil ricotta that added a fantastic touch of savory saltiness. The portion size was not very large, but the soup was very good. For my lunch entree, I ordered the mushroom risotto. Although the portion size was not large, the risotto was exceptional and very filling. It had blue cheese crumbles all over it, some other cheeses that left strings hanging from my chin, and something like honey that added some sweetness to everything. I cannot wait to return for happy hour or dinner to try their cocktails.
Response: Hello Jason, We thank you for your review. We will work harder at getting the food out to our customers as expeditiously as we can. Appreciatively, Alan Owner Teddy & The Bully Bar

Christopher Kenneth Young Jr: Good service. Thank you Olivia. Food could’ve tasted better for brunch. Lots of small portions during brunch, if the portions were larger, we would’ve ordered less plates. I don’t recommend going for brunch with parties more than six - can be very hectic. If you want an unlimited brunch, I would recommend this place.
Response: Hello Christopher, I am glad Olivia was able to deliver the service that we are always aiming for. I also appreciate your honest feedback in regards to the food and the portions. I would really like to know more about your experience so that I can correct these issues. You can e-mail me at justin@prghospitality.com. Thanks again.

C Simpson: The restaurant atmosphere was beautiful. The brunch options were great. However the food was just okay. George, the manager, was great at accommodating our group and making sure that we were all taken care of. The servers appeared to be overwhelmed .
Response: Good morning, I am sorry that your experience was not up to your expectations. We work hard to provide the highest level of service and food that we can. If there is something we can do for you to make this better, please let me know at alanpopovsky@prghospitality.com

byron subero: This restaurant was great! The maitre d was very nice and informative about the restaurant and the art work. Food was delicious and the drinks was amazing. The peach moonshine was fantastic. Definitely need to go back to try their brunch.
Response: Hello Byron, Sorry for the delay but thank you so much for your review. Be Well, Alan Proprietor

Amanda Long: We stopped for dinner because it was close by, but it was a wonderful experience. We had 2 appetizers and 3 entrées, and loved all of it. The steak was perfectly cooked, and we couldn't have asked for better service (thanks Karen!). We'll be sure to come back next time we're in the area!
Response: Hi Amanda, Thanks for the great review. We are lucky to have customers like you. Appreciatively, Alan Owner

Klara Cheung: Downtown DC and there's there's street parking around. Cute little place, masks are required indoors but there's a cute outdoor sitting area. For those who get a lot of mosquito bites, make sure you spray up before you go! Good service and great food. We ordered the House Cut Fries which came with 4 different sauces which were all very good. Fries were also very good and well seasoned. I ordered the Cornmeal Fried Softshell Crab Bahn MI Sandwich. The Crab was a great size and really crispy and the Bahn mi was very flavorful. I ordered the Gettysburg Cooler for a drink which was very refreshing. Definitely recommend it here!

Faith Mitchell: Enjoyed brunch at Lincoln yesterday morning. Loved the vibes as the restaurant is cute and they play good music. It is very clean and I felt comfortable enjoying a meal here. The menu had a lot of options and $50 for bottomless mimosas and food is a great deal. Definitely had some unique flavor combinations that we surprisingly enjoyed. The service was a bit slow as we waited for awhile to be served and didn’t get checked on as much as we would have liked. However, everyone was nice including the manager and, when we did get a server, we were well taken care of. Would go back.
Response: Hi Faith, Thank you for your review. We appreciate your business and hope to see you soon. Kindly, Alan Owner Lincoln Restaurant

Gina S: Cool place to visit due to it being linked to the historical figuer Honest Abe. Small space, a bit of a wait, but the menu offers good southern/homestyle food. I wasn't wowed, but my appetite was satisfied.

Mikayla Ramirez: Nice atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Great food. Decent price.

Nonie Fields: My friend and I stopped by the Lincoln yesterday for lunch. The food was amazing and the ambiance and decor was aesthetically pleasing. Our server Brandy took great care of us she made our experience a million times better. I definitely will be back to try the dinner & brunch menu!
Response: Hi Nonie, Thank you so much for your review. We appreciate you dining with us. Kindly, Alan Owner

Bobby A: Got there for "Happy Hour". They have a wonderful appetizer selection as well as wines, beers, and cocktails. We enjoyed glasses of wine, beer. And a couple of scotches! The deli platter was good as was the fish taco. The romaine ceaser was really tops! Excellent waiter though they were busy. We sat outside but the inside is very nice. Also, clean restroom. Will come back.
Response: Hello Bobby, Thank you for the kind review and your business. Appreciatively, Alan Owner

Madison Garcia: I went to Lincoln last Sunday for their Pride brunch with a group of girlfriends and had such a fun time! The bartender, Nico, served us and gave us the best experience. The drinks were great and he was so fun and friendly. The food was delicious and the service made our time there even better. I will definitely be going back soon!
Response: Hello Madison, Thank you for the kind review. I will pass it along to Nico. I appreciate your support. Appreciatively, Alan

Patrick Baber: Delicious brunch and incredible staff. Highly recommend. Cool vibe and decor as well.

Firefly: what do users think?

Sadhana G: Went to this beautiful place for brunch on a Sunday. The food was a whole new level of excitement! Presentation and quality of the food and the good ambience set the right tone for the weekend. But the only setback was the price. We had an Egg frittata, chicken and waffles and Egg Benedict-crab ( the chef special) and it cost us 70$. A great place to grab finger food in a cute setting !

Garner Marshall: Excellent breakfast spot. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Parking is pretty scarce around the area. Staff is excellent. Good is delicious. Music is diverse. Location is convenient. This is going to be one of my new favorite breakfast spots.

Steven Power: Wonderful location and the food is pretty good. The prices are very high. Brunch for two with no drinks besides one cup of black coffee was $50 for one order of French Toast, one Avocado Toast, and a side of fruit. The service was good overall, but one small thing annoyed me somewhat. We were there for Saturday brunch so I ordered a cup of black coffee right when the waitress first came over. The coffee, which they charged $5 for, finally came a minute before our food. I drank it quickly, thinking that for $5 for a tiny cup, a refill would be in order. No such luck. I don't know if asking for a refill would have taken another 20 minutes and cost another $5, but at that point in the meal, I didn't bother. Overall, a solid 5-stars. The location and ambiance outside are really great.

Mariia Sarlayan: Wonderful food, amazing service, beautiful interior, pleasant vibe. A bit pricey for brunch but worth it. I wish more tables outside had umbrellas for shades but even then the experience was memorable.
Response: Mariia, We are definitely wowwed by your amazing review and grateful for your comments. I hope we'll see you again soon, for another memorable experience! Please be safe and well until then. Sincerely, Anastasiia Firefly General Manager

Kim S: The food, service, and ambiance were excellent! My only disappointment was that they weren't open for dinner Sundays because we were looking forward to going back.

Linden Yee: Solid brunch, overall recommend. The eggs on the benedict were pretty undercooked but the flavors were good, and the chicken and waffles were really well seasoned. Service was pretty slow, and the staff seemed to be up against a lot. While the waiter was great, they appeared to be the only one working the entire restaurant.

Khadija Khan: The restaurant has changed a lot since the last time I was here! Really friendly staff and nice ambiance! My favorite was the peanut butter and jelly French toast with the jalapeño honey! It’s an Interesting combo but I really liked it. Our server recommended a really yummy mocktail! The food was a little pricey so I’m not sure if I’ll be visiting again any time soon, but the dishes were innovative and delicious.
Response: Khadija, Thank you for the great review and the photos you shared from your recent visit at Firefly. Love to hear the our food and service left a great impression. I do hope you'll come abck again soon. Warmest Regards, Anastasiia, General Manager, Firefly

idcwhatcoloritis: This had to be an off night cause the place was interesting. The old arcade games were cool and our waitress did her best with a terrible situation. Two of our three meals were barely warm at best and cold at worst. The other was basically frozen salmon from a grocery store on what looked like Couscous but was actually rice some how. They nuked our food in the microwave and brought it back out. The vegan burger both smelled and tasted like fish. Completely inedible. All in all, the food was terrible all around. The only plus to this experience was the owner who took both meals off our bill and bought us a round of shots to make up for it after there POS system went down. We saw at least 10 plates go back to the kitchen while we were there. I don’t think this is normal cause most of the people there seemed like regulars and were super confused by there food. I think it was an off night but I don’t think any of my group will be returning.
Response: Greetings, Thank you for your feedback I just would like to double check, is this review for Firefly Restaurant located at 1310 New Hampshire Ave NW Washington DC. We don’t have old arcade games at our restaurant. Thank you Anastasiia Hehelska Restaurant GM

Lisa Mayberry: Cute little place for brunch out of the way in a hotel down New Hampshire Street. Outside patio seating is nice for a cool day with the umbrella up.
Response: Lisa, Thank you for your recent visit to Firefly and the excellent review. We could not agree more, the Terrace is a great place to relax, people watch and enjoy one (or two) of our amazing cocktails. Please come back soon! Sincerely, Anastasiia Firefly General Manager

S P: Everything about this restaurant Amazing and I mean everything! I went once and I can't stop going back I tell everyone to go best chicken and waffles I have ever had! Drink and beautiful and delicious

Article One - American Grill: what do users think?

MS Tabu Winslow Morris, MBA: I attended the COE Leadership Summit and Policy Conference at the Hyatt. I commuted from Towson, Maryland to Washington, D.C. every day. I would rush in to the breakfast buffet before our sessions started. Your staff was friendly and seated me right away. Even helped me have seat close to the entrance so that I could exit quickly to get to my session after eating. Your restaurant is clean and you have a good selection of food on the menu. Thank you for the good food and friendly service.

Rafael Alencar: TERRIBLE SERVICE I was writing a bad review about the service. And I realize there are so many complains about the bad service. I wonder why they keep the staff (?) If they want names, here is one: Marino (he's the worst) Stay away from this restaurant.

Igor Ostrovsky: Breakfast buffet is excellent - lots of variety, moderate price (don't miss that $25 off $50 dining coupon they offer with hotel reservation!), comfortable location right in the main lobby of the hotel. Pre-cooked scrambled eggs/bacon are hit or miss - were great one morning, but barely warm on another. Still, there is an omelet station - get it cooked to your specs right in front of you. Coffee is consistently good. Plenty of cold cuts, pastries and fresh fruit. Haven't tried sausages or pancakes - but they looked/smelled good. Bagels, oatmeal, yogurt, cereals - all typical breakfast staples. You won't leave hungry.

William Schlimm: RUDE STAFF They can serve gold in the menu, if the employers are impolite, there's no reason to eat there ever again. Specially in a place where there's a restaurant each corner. Worker called Marino is rude and aggressive from head to toe. I understand some restaurants keeps low budget for hiring unexperienced or bad trained waiters. But this one should work no where but on his manners. Stay away from this restaurant and try the one across the street.

Chanda Rice: The service here is excellent. I had multiple servers checking on me to ensure I had everything I needed. The bread with dinner is soft, warm and delicious. The weekend all you can eat breakfast has a nice assortment of options and juices.

Abq Tours: Limited menu. Ok staff. Good drinks! Avg food. $30 out the door for chicken Caesar salad & iced tea.

Kim Nguyen: Great hotel restaurant! Usually hotel restaurants are just eh. Appreciate the interesting menu with some organic and local ingredients... and even a sustainable catch of the day dish. Enjoyed the fluffy omelet, crispy hash browns and cheese plate for room service.

casmithwv: I was out walking around the museums all day and figured I'd give my feet a rest and give the hotel bar a chance despite the bad reviews. The hotel lobby is pretty and it's a nice space. Right off the bat, something felt off because someone was coming up to the bar because her waiter didn't bother to give her any utensils and the bartender wasn't giving her the time of day. The bartender took a while to acknowledge my presence and didn't seem to speak English very well. I ordered a couple of appetizers and I didn't finish either of them. They both tasted cheap and weren't particularly interesting. I had a couple of beers as well ($8/each). I thought they might do mixed drinks better, so I ordered an old fashioned. It was okay. Not great. They charged me $19 for it though, and that's where they lost me. My total (with tip) was $83. That was not an $83 meal. If I was paying $35 for that meal in Morgantown, WV I'd have no complaints, but for $83 in DC I could've walked across the street and had a better meal.

Aaron WF: Service is friendly. The place is clean and the hamburger I has was very good.

Sam Dey: Not so great. 👎 Average hotel lounge food, OK for people 'stuck' at the hotel.

Kinship: what do users think?

Andrea Bindewald: My husband and I celebrated our 16th anniversary dinner here this week. We had an awesome time. The service was amazing, and the atmosphere was perfect. Great lighting, good background music, and the restaurant was cozy but not overcrowded. The food and drinks were top notch. Paced well. The plating was beautiful and the various combinations of flavor profiles was really interesting and delicious. Highly recommend making reservations as they book up sometimes a week out. Only open Wed-Sun

Guilherme Montassier: The ambiance is very modern and light. It feels like you are in an art gallery waiting for new paintings to arrive, in between exhibits. The food is definitely above your average restaurant, with well thought flavor combinations and lovely presentation. Most of the dishes did not dazzle me, but the kinship roast chicken is a delight. Roast chicken done to perfection. I was also very surprised by the black forest cake. Overall a good experience, but am not planning a return for now.

Shannen: One of the best dinners I’ve had in DC to date! My boyfriend took me here for my birthday, and there was a little handwritten birthday note at the table when we arrived. Food was amazing; we truly loved everything we ordered (the potatoes served with the ribeye were too salty, though). Drinks were good too. Service was awesome, and I wish I could remember our main server’s name, because he was incredible. In summary, I highly recommend this spot for your next special occasion!!

Caroline G.: Maybe we came on a bad night? We came here on a Wednesday and overall just didn’t meet expectations. Presentation was always nice but the actual taste fell short. Drinks were underwhelming. The wait time between courses was excessive. Can’t remember all the names but we got a salad, ravioli, lobster French toast, lamb, halibut, peanut butter and pistachio desserts. The salad was odd and aside from the sauce not very appetizing. Pasta definitely fell short. Lobster French toast, as odd as that sounds, was the star of the night. Lamb was very dry and the toasted bread on top was soggy on the underside which ruined the texture they were going for. Just poorly planned dish all around. The halibut was confusing because yes, it was delicious and poached perfectly… but then it was 100% over staged by the curry. I enjoyed the dish I just can’t understand why they would choose to drown out such a beautiful piece of fish. I might as well have been eating potatoes, all I could taste was the curry. The desserts were hands down most disappointing. The peanut butter looked like a Kind bar was cut in half then they paired it with a spoonful of ice cream that just didn’t go. I think I would have rather ate a Kind bar. 3/10. The pistachio one was even worse as literally nothing alone or together was appetizing aside from the red sauce which we got 4 drops of. We were trying to figure out if there was something gone bad in the white sauce or if that was the taste they were going for. Our server insisted the pistachio was their best dessert so that was alarming. Speaking of server he was nice but just incredibly awkward and I felt like I was at a car dealership instead of a fine dining establishment. Everything here was just strange and missed the mark for me. Definitely wouldn’t return but given the other reviews I’m just thinking we might have come on an off night with B staff.

Shannon T: 2.5 stars. It’s just a regular fine dining place. Soup lukewarm. Bread soft and cold. No butter selection ( not Michelin level). The shrimp appetizer was odd - it was bland. The duck breast- we had way better one in Baltimore. The prime beef and foe grais were great! The lobster toast was delicious but texture wise was just sloppy. The overall presentation of food was very very normal. Only the server was smiling but none of the other waiters or waitresses were; one even sighed when serving us soup. In sum, service wasn’t even at fine dining level. This place is just okay for a regular fine dining and pricing, but certainly didn’t get a passing grade for a Michelin star restaurant for its food presentation, quality and service.

Kaitlin Wolfford: We were beyond pleased with our experience at Kinship. We were promptly seated upon arrival and the menu was explained to us. Drinks and food all came out in a very timely manner. We ordered the following: Puree of Brussels Sprouts Soup Lemon Crusted Filet of Halibut Slow Roasted Lamb Shoulder Unfortunately I can't remember what the other dishes were called because this was a few months ago and the menu has been updated since then. Everything was excellent but the soup, the lamb, and the dessert were the stars of the night. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a nice night out.

Manda B: Best dining experience of my life. We had an incredible amount of fun. And if Matthew is your server, consider yourself incredibly incredibly lucky Lobster French toast 👌 Duck dish. 👌 Carrot cake... Killed us ♥️👌♥️👌

luci wang: Appetizers are amazing. Entrees are good but not as good as the appetizers. The roast chicken for the table is very big. If you're planning to get that for the table, skip out on entree so you'd have room for dessert

Andrea Martin: I’m not sure where the Michelin star came from- plating was beautiful the food fell flat. The seasoning on the food items was either way too much or not enough and they only seem to have salt- the duck breast was bland- the ribeye was a great cut but still not cooked to perfection. I am probably most impressed but the thumb fat asparagus tips that were tender. Left feeling underwhelmed and as though I overpaid for the meal and experience. The service was also underwhelming- I had to fill my own water glass the entire time and we ran out of water on the table and were never brought more. I also had to ask for a drink menu.

Rebecca Kaufman: One of my favorite places to eat in DC. Is it expensive? Yes. Expect to spend about $100-$150 a person if eating well and drinking cocktails or glasses of wine. However this is one of the few places that you will never be disappointed with the quality of food, service, and general atmosphere. It is absolutely worth every penny spent.

Dirty Habit: what do users think?

Olivia M. Wilson: Went to Dirty Habit for brunch and it was good! The fruit was really fresh and the potatoes were crisp. However, the service was decent and they only have bar seats available. Maybe that’s because we arrived an hour before they closed for the afternoon. Either way, the food made up for it. I would definitely like to try their dinner menu.
Response: Hi Olivia — Thank you so much for the kind words and for the feedback! We take all feedback seriously, so we’ll be sure to discuss ways to make our service more efficient. We're always trying to improve, so if there's anything else you think of, please let us know. Thanks, and we hope to welcome you back soon!

Austin Graff: Located in Penn Quarter close to the Chinatown Metro Station, Dirty Habit makes for a great date night or group dinner. It's a spacious restaurant with several beautifully-decorated dining rooms, bars and a heated outdoor patio. Here's my wife and my experience going on a February Saturday evening: 1) Food: The food menu is organized first courses, mains and sides. My wife and I love little courses so we each ordered our own French onion soup and then split the beets four ways, watermelon tartare, burrata, crudo and whipped butter potatoes. For dessert, they brought over the churros and an innovative banana split. All the food was excellent and well presented, but th watermelon tartate takes the cake. It's entirely vegan and the flavor combination is out of this world. 2) Drink: They have a full cocktails, beer and wine menu. If you don't have the wine, you can bring your own if you call ahead. (They'll charge a corkage fee.) Off the menu, they make mocktails if you tell them what flavors you like. My wife's citrus mocktail was well made. I ordered the Amazonian and it was excellent with the coconut whip. 3) Service: Our service was on point. We were seated the moment we arrived for our 8:30 p.m. reservation and our server was efficient, pleasant and knowledgeable on the menu. 4) Experience: From the service to the atmosphere to the food, it was a great dining experience. They follow all pandemic protocols. Despite being full of all kinds of people, we felt far enough away and covid-safe. 5) Parking: This can be a challenge being in downtown, but we found street parking for $3 by the Rice Bar along 9th Street NW near Pennsylvania Avenue NW.

Blvknative: Going to dirty habit for Valentines Day was top tier! The ambience was everything I was expecting! The deal as far as food and drinks were top of the line! Truly a captivating experience for my company and I.

Shannon A. McGhee: Top tier restaurant/ bar atmosphere. Food was very delicious. We had a private party in one there spaces. Food and alcohol was served. The staff were more than exceptional. Everything was jaw dropping that night. The bars was fully stocked, the outdoor seating Area was a magical scene setting the tone for the evening. I'll be back as this has become my favorite spot now. See ya soon.

Heather Walker: Amazing beautiful place, food was great. Our server unfortunately wasn't the friendliest or most attentive. Prices are pretty high for what you get. 20% Gratuity was taken out automatically.
Response: Hi Heather — Thanks for stopping by, and we appreciate the kind words! But we’re sorry to hear there were certain aspects that we didn’t deliver on. We’ve noted your comments for the next team meeting, but if there’s anything more you’d like to mention or talk to someone about, please email stephanie.carre@dirtyhabitdc.com and she’ll be happy to help!

Katlin B.: Best French onion soup I ever had! The vibe is trendy and the crowd is very eclectic. The food and drinks were amazing! Will return for soup. Thanks to the awesome host and staff! There is also a nice outdoor area as well.

Christina Hollimon: My husband took me here for their valentine's day special. It was a 4 course menu. 95$ a person and the food was subpar. I ordered filet mignon medium and it came out rare twice. We frequent placed of this caliber and don't expect to pay this amount for a under cooked steak three times, including the one they sent me home with. The soup and tuna tar tar dish were subpar as well. Honestly while I appreciate my hubby's efforts we were both disappointed with the food for the 360 dollars spent after tax and tip. The 2 stars is for the service

Aisha C: I will never spend money at this restaurant again. Absolutely ruined my NYE experience with sub par service and below average food. My group of 4 opted to do the NYE 3 course meal with a wine/cocktail pairing and it was a complete mess. Service was 1/10 as the waiter had to come back to "double check" our order minutes after writing it down. Every single order came out incorrect and we found ourselves super disappointed and unamused by the 2nd course. I had to call the manager who listened to our complaints and rewrote our order for a third time and even still the orders came out wrong!! At this point our night was ruined and already downhill but we were given purfuse apologies and a measly comp of our 2 of 4 cocktails and a water ($100 value) The bill was still around $600 including a 20% automatic gratuity forthe 4 of us and it was absolutely not worth it for the horrible service, mispaired food, incorrect drinks, and condescending waiter (who later apologized) we had to endure. Though managers really did try their best to restart our experience it was extremely disappointing for the seeming high end meal experience they advertised. Definitely not how I intended to spend my last meal of the year and definitely won't be back.

c clark: Good food, classy spot that I felt not dressed to par. I had just got in town and had on nike shorts and t shirt. But it was cool. Service was great. I'd definitely go back again
Response: Hi C Clark — Thanks so much for the kind words, and we're glad to hear you enjoyed your experience with us! We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

Lamina Richardson: I was a little disappointed when i visited dirty habit. It’s aesthetically pleasing but i wasn’t impressed with the food. I got the district chicken and the black rice that’s paired with it was very gritty. The dish was also paired with okra and string beans. The veggies weren’t sautéed at all and had no flavor. They literally tasted like microwaved veggies that were previously frozen. The chicken was actually good but the parings sucked so it wasn’t filling. Nice atmosphere though. Really good espresso martini! If i go again it would only be for drinks.
Response: Hi Lamina — Thank you for the kind words as well as the feedback. We hope you had a fun time overall, and we'll be taking your comments about the district chicken into our next meeting with the kitchen team. We take all feedback very seriously and we're always trying to improve, so if there's anything else you think of, please contact stephanie.carre@dirtyhabitdc.c o m and we'll be happy to continue the conversation. Thanks, and we hope to welcome you back soon!

Georgia Brown's: what do users think?

Nicholas Stephens: Had a wonderful Mother's Day dinner here. A party of 8, we were seated in the back by the kitchen. Ambiance was vibrant, music selection was great throughout the night and our server was very attentive. Got the fried snapper fish, came with a full body fried fish! Skin was crispy and flavorful, and the meat was tender. Rice and side salad came with the dish, provided good balance. My partner tried the Carolina Gumbo, to her liking! Will definitely return for date night or just a nice random dinner outing. Enjoy!

Warman Hall: This may be one of the funnest times I've ever had dinning out while out of town! The restaurant is beautiful and they've done a great job of decorations. The menu is an interesting and varied offering based on Southern soul food and New Orleans cuisine. I was able to join a large group of people and the restaurant was able to accommodate us wonderfully. The live music was also fantastic. I highly recommend the chicken fried steak!

Drea Dawson: The food was decent. The atmosphere was nice, with the exception of the large homeless area across the street which is very sad. However, it deterred us from sitting out side. Service was horrible. The restaurant was pretty much empty and still took 30minutes to make our meals. The server rarely checked on us. The bread was cold and super dry. The drinks were really good. Parking was of course horrible in the location it is placed. The valet is $20 cash only, the man was nice enough to let me cashapp him. The worse part is that they added Gratuity of 20% to a table of 2 people. It's like they forget that people earn tips not demand them. The prices of the food is too expensive honestly for what you get. I hope they are paying all of their staff extremely well outside of tips with the cost of everything and automatically adding Gratuity. I was going to tip the young lady well anyway, due to being a server in college, but the auto Gratuity that she said is their policy total turned me off from the place. For Salmon, spinach, fries, and fried green tomatoes it was roughly $88. Yes you read that correctly. I will say the salmon was large and Cooked well.

Florence: Georgia, oh Georgia! Scrumptious Southern fare. With a last-minute reservation, I came here on a Tuesday night with 6 other people (2 children) and we were seated right away. Service was extremely friendly and fast. I highly recommend the Appetizer Sampler which is good for 4-6 people or 2 people as a decent meal. While every item was great, the standout, hands-down were the Devils on Horseback (bacon-wrapped dates, goat cheese, and oil and vinegar). Then I super enjoyed my Carolina Gumbo- a rich stew full of spicy andouille, okra, duck, shrimp, chicken, lump crab meat, and rice- WHAT?! Leftovers reheated well the next day. For dessert, though we were all full af, we all took spoonfuls (or more!) of the Brioche Bread Pudding. Their food packed with heart and soul keeps Georgia Brown's on my mind. NOTES: **Wheelchair-accessible, clean restroom **Street parking mildly available, several parking decks close by.

Dan Larson: Friendly and attentive service. Our waiter was awesome. We had 5 people at our table and the food was a mixed bag - some dishes were fabulous and others not so much. Surprisingly the fried chicken was dry and tough. Dishes did not come out all at once, with a 15 minute delay from the first dish to the last. Overall atmosphere was very nice with live music. I'd try it again, hopefully next time the kitchen will be doing better.

Jon Kemp: The wife gives it 5 stars. It's no Mike's American when it comes to service but I've never NOT seasoned food after tasting it. They ran out of the extremely delicious according to Jose our waiter. So I had to settle for the stuffed shrimp which was very good. The others in our party loved ❤ the food. Sweet peach tea as good & sweet as it was Wasn't as good as Mike's. The fried chicken was great according to the wife. Catfish appetizers crunchy but even with the dipping sauce can be a pass even though we cleaned the plate. WARNINGS the bill total includes a 20% tip. Pay the tax and the subtotal not the suggested amount. I double tipped. My mistake, don't let it be yours. Dessert was brioche bread Pudding and not as sweet as the hot peach cobbler and I got the ice cream separately.

Laurie Saunders: Enjoyed Sunday brunch and music. The whole experience was wonderful. Creative food pairings we would never tried on our own. Last day for the current band. Hoping they will be back soon. Such a talented bunch. 🎶

Misty L. Smith: So this is Georgia Browns in Washington DC!!!! It is a must try when visiting Washington, the food, decor, atmosphere and service professionals were excellent! Johnathon was our server and was terrific!! Now the food was incredible, we ordered 4 entrees, the lamb chops, Devil shrimp, country friend steak and Crab cakes, let me tell you the food was amazing!!! The jalapeño corn was amazing!! Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

Sharon Nichols: Love going to this black owned establishment. The brunch is always good. Ryan @ the bar is Great, his customer service skills are phenomenal and as a mixologist his cocktails are always on point! Best Paloma I've ever had!

Crystal Gaskins: I don't even know where to start. Over all great experience!!!! Diamond is the best!!!! The people that mentioned her in the reviews didn't lie.... She is great!!!! The food was good also. The Greens and Mac and cheese that I ate off someone else's plate was awesome. We will definitely be back!!!! Oh the peach martini from the bar was perfect!!!!

Clyde's of Georgetown: what do users think?

Ryan Downing: Omg, We had the best time. Our server Isaiah was perfect. Laughed at all our jokes, recommended food that we will never forget. Cocktails were amazing. Restaurant was clean and staff was friendly. The next time we are in DC we are definitely going back to Clyde's of Georgetown.

Aaliyah L: This place is a hidden gem. The crab tower was a hit (first two pictures) my boyfriend didnt leave anything left on the plate. For the people that can't have shellfish like myself the Buffalo wings are delicious and probably come 8-10 pieces. Main course chicken sandwich, the absolute best. It's a honey Sriracha sauce so it's a little spicy but the pickles cool it down. The Reuben was also delicious and very filling. Best Fries I have had in a long time at a restaurant. Highly Recommend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sahar Riccardi: I took my daughter and friends here for her sweet 16th birthday. They sat at a table while I sat at the bar and had dinner. I didn’t drink at all, but the very friendly bartender, Chris, made some awesome drinks. He was super nice and attentive. The food was great. Very delicious steak cooked exactly the way I like it.

Terence Tuhinanshu: Courteous staff, a number of non-alcoholic options in the drinks menu, and one of the BEST veggie burgers I've ever had. I sat at the bar, but there's booths and tables and outdoors and a second bar, lots of options. Great vibe, would recommend.
Response: Terence, Thank you for visiting Clyde's and leaving a great review. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your experience and look forward to having you back again!

Jane Sta: Everything was fresh and tasty. I ordered my hamburger well done, and in order places they just go to much to the point where it is burned, but here it was just perfect. The cauliflower appetizer is amazing, highly recommended.

Gaby Caballero: Amazing dinner on my first trip to D.C. Our server Ryan did an outstanding service. The spaghetti with seafood was perfect. Our salad with salmon and champagne vinaigrette was super tasty. We love the ambience. Definitely we will comeback!
Response: Thank you, Gaby! We take pride is serving our customers and hope to see you back again soon!

pooria riahi: Generally speaking I like the indoor vibe of clyeds. it is quaint and feels like dining in 1920s. But my opinion for this branch is 9/10 for location. 8/10 for service when they are not overwhelmed. 7/10 for food. You'll have a good range of choices and maybe you not gonna say wow after tasting your food but you would surely not be disappointed.
Response: Thank you, Pooria. We appreciate your feedback about your experience. We take pride in serving our customers and hope to see you again soon!

Ido Simyoni: Great place for brunch in Georgetown . Matthew the host was the nicest and Olivia the waitress was the sweetest and very caring. Food was good.

John “Bams” Serev: Clyde's of Georgetown was pretty good. As soon as we walked into the establishment the gentlemen at the front was rude at first. 'Y'all don't have a reservation? " kind of low key a hole, but after that first interaction it was splendid. Our waitress was attentive and kind. The little bottle of waters were definitely made for ants. I had the shrimp and grits. They were very good and filling. I would definitely order again. Other than that clyde's had a lot of American dishes. I'd go back if I ran out of new places to try.

Chris Fortunato: Wait staff was well trained and friendly. I was recommended the crispy roasted chicken bowl, and I do not regret it one bit. Everything about the bowl was fantastic from the chicken to the fresh apples. My date had the fish and chips, which wee battered and fried in such a way to maintain both moisture and the fishes fresh flavor. Both dishes come at high recommendation
