Michelle Wiciak: Absolutely phenomenal. This place has the best duck ever. Honestly, everything we had was amazing--from the charcuterie board to the horseradish potatoes to the chocolate peanut butter cake. A well-rounded meal. Not to mention, our waiter did an excellent job at recommending our wine selection and paired beautifully with our dishes. Just an amazing experience and will come back when we are in the city again.

Tilak Kalaria: Blue Duck Tavern in the Park Hyatt is an amazing dining experience. The ambience and the service match the excellent cocktails, wine, and cuisine. You truly get what you pay for and you do pay don’t get me wrong but WoW everything tastes excellent and the service team’s attention to detail elevates the experience. The bone marrow and the duck were my favourite dishes to name a couple. Intriguingly delicious was their house bread with olives! Excellent dining experience that is worth the price. Cheers.

Kim Nguyen: Wow. We were so impressed with the quality of the food here. It’s my first time in DC and after a bit of researching for fine dining restaurant, we decided to try Blue Duck Tavern. I was able to make a last minute reservation for 2 at 8:30pm. Their bone marrow and duck breast were so bomb. The service was amazing as well. Highly recommend!

Jerry’s Adventure: Service, value, flavor it hits all the marks The short ribs were tender and melts in your mouth. And with a smoky flavor 👌 the egg 🥚 is cooked perfectly as it gives a creamy texture to the dish. The biscuit holds up with good structure, but it’s flavor may not be as accentuated as it can be (mostly herbs) and can use a gravy. Pancakes were fluffy as expected and presentation is beautiful 😌 Overall a must go in DC area

Jim Baker: Went here on a recommendation from a friend, and while the food was very good and the service was attentive, we just weren't as blown away as we expected, especially at the price point. The short rib hash was a just little low on flavor and the Pork Belly Benedict seemed a little clumsy with how the pickled vegetables, basically a lot of carrots, were assembled together. Again, others might completely disagree with this, so go and try and make up your own mind, it just won't become a staple for us.

Michael B: This was a very nice restaurant. But honestly, none of the food was that memorable. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere was nice, but for this price point I expect to die and go to heaven. I just wasn't feeling it. Nothing was wrong, but I wasn't blown away.

Vivian Cheng: Went for lunch. Food is solid, well-executed. We had the cured ocean trout (delicious!) and the kale salad (perfect) with two entrees. Crab cakes are large and delicious. Well seasoned, paired with a salad. I had the confit duck leg. Flavorful, succulent, with a beautiful crispy skin. Sadly, we were too full for dessert. Well-worth a visit.

Tamila Torab Eghdami: It was my first time eating duck. The food was absolutely delicious! 😋 The service was amazing. Too bad we didn’t have time to go back for the second time but next time I’m in Washington definitely we’ll go back. We also tried their apple pie with tea and it was the best apple pie I ever had in my whole life. This restaurant worth your money and time!

Amer Alsamman: Went for our anniversary. The staff were curtious, and friendly. Our waiter went above and beyond to make make our experience great The apple pie was amazing. I had the beef rib which was good but had more fat veins than expected.

Andrew Bogdan: Had an excellent time grabbing dinner here! The food was absolutely amazing, and the art on the walls was fun to look at and made for great conversation. I ordered the eggplant and butternut squash soup. It was literally the best soup I have ever had in my life, absolutely amazing. The wine list was excellent as well. Really recommend for a private romantic date night!

Georgia Hensley: We had such a great experience visiting 1789. The food was delicious, the waiters were pleasant and the manager was so knowledgeable. He knew all the history and even about the Exorcist house and steps directly across the street. We enjoyed short ribs and sirloin, my brother in law had the halibut, we also tried the lobster and the octopus starters. They were so good. They even called our cab for us. We will def. return on our next visit to Georgetown. 1789 is located at 126 36 St.NW 20007

Norma Del Carmen: Last night in Georgetown and we wanted to try this Michelin star restaurant as a treat To end our thanksgiving weekend and 1789 Restaurant did not disappoint, it blew our tastes buds away! The butter squash soup we started out with was so amazing that we knew the rest of the dishes would get better and better. Be sure to take a video of how they present the soup…it happened so fast, great presentation. I had the brioche halibut and My tastebuds were just in heaven. Our bellies were full but we still wanted to enjoy the evening w deserts and it did not disappoint as well! Service was excellent ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ And the food was delivered quick. This is my new favorite restaurant in Georgetown by far and looking forward to coming back again!

Gabriela Frank: One of the best fine dining experiences available in DC. Do not hesitate to visit for one of the best dining experiences of your life! Every single bite did not disappoint and you just can't go wrong with whatever you order. We started with the first round of drinks (Cardamom Bee's Knees & Brown Butter Old Fashioned) and knew in that moment we would be in for a special treat. We split the Ravioli dish, which had exceptionally seasoned mushrooms you could almost mistake them for beef. We ordered the Halibut and Duck dishes for main courses and every aspect of the dish was just pure slices of heaven on a fork. To top it off, we finished with the chocolate dessert and wished we had more room to eat more and drink more! High recommend for someone celebrating a special occasion, or want to impress someone with exceptional fine dining.

Tucker Jones: Excellent food and fabulous service. Such a great dining experience, one of the best in DC!! Desserts topped off an amazing dinner snd they were off the charts!

Marilyn Breedlove: For over 20 years I have enjoyed the 1789 restaurant. It had been about a year since I had dined here last. I'm very sorry to say they are not what they once were. My husband and I took my daughter for her 21st birthday dinner. At the end of the meal my husband and I agreed it was the worst $400 meal we had ever had. The plates looked lovely.. The best part of my meal was the bread and the very delicious butternut squash soup. The menu said sea scallops. And I was served bay scallops. The sauteed mushrooms were completely uncooked.

Katie Greener: Food was amazing and perfectly portioned! So much that we had to take home leftovers! Wonderful date night spot. Drinks were phenomenal as well…combinations complimented each other so nicely. We ended our meal with sharing the cheesecake with some coffee and couldn’t have been more satisfied.

Ines R: This restaurant is located in Georgetown a couple of blocks up the hill from the main M street. The restaurant is quaint with low beamed ceilings and cobblestone floors. The walls were covered in hand drawn pictures of the Washington monument and other historical figures. We ordered the 5 course tasting menu. I had mine with the wine pairing for $165. Without the wine pairing it was $105. The food was good however I can't say it was great. None of the dishes really wowed me that is the reason for the 4 rating. I expected the food to wow. On several dishes I had to add salt and pepper. My favorite part of the meal was the ice cream topped with gold flakes. The wine pairings were very good. I would go again but I would order from the main menu versus the tasting menu. The service was impeccable!!!! From the valet to the servers. This is a romantic restaurant, a place for an intimate dining experience.

Diana Feldmaier: SIR Sundays are BACK!! It is the best brunch I’ve been to. The buffet style food was delicious, lots of fun, great show, and unlimited mimosas! Bring all your girlfriends, you’ll have a blast!

Alexander Cárdenas: The experience was really good. I enjoyed the night with my friends, good drinks and the music was perfect. However, there was not enough air conditioning and very hot. Other that that good.

Rod S: I love the venue. The food is not good. I ordered the steak w fries and the steak was tougher than beef jerky. It was like a retreaded tire slathered with sauce. My date ordered the salmon which was delicious But it came out later and the staff was rushing us to finish our food in preparation for the night crowd so we could not enjoy or finish it. I wish we didn't stay for after hour drinks as the place just gets raunchy. I really wanted to like this place as it appears as a classy club. I was mistaken.

B Rene: I have to give Sax 4/5 stars because of my experience. I took my mother here for her birthday about a week ago for the dinner and show. The atmosphere is REALLY intimate/dramatic. Quick bite: they give you some type of flavor popcorn. Unfortunately, the server came around and took the bowl while we still has popcorn in it and didn’t even ask us if we were done or if we wanted more. I just thought that might’ve been a nice courtesy. Appetizer: we ordered the cocktail shrimp (there were four fairly large shrimp. They were seasoned and cooked perfectly! My mom had their blackberry mesculin salad which was really good as well. Neither of us really cared for the vinaigrette that comes with it (too vinegar-y), but their ranch (which I believe is housemade) was really great! Drinks:my mom had what was originally served as a house shooter (They practically give these away) district was pretty refreshing, cool, and crisp. It’s pink, and forgive me I cannot remember the name of it. I had the art of the tease, Which is either whiskey or bourbon-based, but really tasty! Comes with some type of sugar crystals on a stick that’s a little bit longer and thicker than toothpick. Would definitely order again. Dinner: I tried the lamb... not so great. But traded for the Oscar NY strip....BOMB. It came with asparagus beets in the crabmeat. I don’t even know how to explain the flavor in the party in my mouth! But definitely a must try if you plan to visit. It definitely made up for any concern I had about the lamb. My mom had the Chimichurri steak frites. They came up very tender and juicy. Not quite as flavorful as the New York strip, but still really good. For sides (yes, they are à le carte) we had the mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. Both really good! Those are probably some the best mashed potatoes I’ve ever had in my life! Not sure if that’s a thing, but for me that night it was. Only issue that I had with that was they don’t seem to have enough sides. I took pictures of the menu, so you’ll see what I mean. I just feel like maybe a little more variety would have been more intriguing. Dessert:didn’t really look too appetizing. Again, not enough menu options, and the few items that were there didn’t really spark my interest. Because it was my moms birthday, they did bring out cheesecake with a candle and two glasses of champagne. Not bad. Definitely nice that they were thoughtful enough to bring her something and celebrate with her. The cheesecake that they brought out was really good… Unfortunately I don’t remember seeing that (non dulce de leche) on the menu. Entertainment: They have a different set every 40 or 45 minutes after the hour. Definitely not raunchy or anything classless, But I would not recommend this place for kids under 16 maybe even 18. As this was my first time, I wasn’t really aware that the show takes place kind of at the eye level of the people sitting upstairs, and we ended up sitting downstairs. Still a great deal because the entertainment was also on the floor, but I feel like there were parts of the show that we missed when they were doing floor work in the skybox. We would have been able to see that better if we were on the second floor. Now we know for next time though. Last tidbit: No matter the size of your party or the time of day or the day of the week that you come in, they will be adding 22% gratuity to your bill automatically. Overall, my first Sax experience was great. Definitely book a reservation. They do have a two hour maximum time limit that they claim that they strictly enforce. I took plenty of photos for you guys...enjoy and pay a visit

Lee Davis: Amazing place, amazing food, spectacular show. Shout out to the wait staff, and performers. Seldom do you go somewhere that matches how wonderful you feel inside after getting dressed up, smelling good, and feeling good. You will be on "Baller status" when you attend Sax and won't mind "popping bottles" for one moment, as the match you with the atmosphere, professionalism, and grandeur spirit of the whole experience!

Daisy de Santiago: The staff at SAX needs to learn the definition of hospitality. Better yet, they need to go back to hospitality school. We used to go to SAX several years ago until their shows became tasteless and raunchy. Then, we recently heard they rebranded their image as a legit supper club, so we decided to try them again. When we arrived, the place only had a few diners and the bar area that they call a “fast bar” but had no bartender in sight. So, we sat down at one of the tables to wait for a bartender to show up and watch the show that started. A service staff (if you can even call her that) walked up to us ask asked if we had a reservation. We said, we didn’t, but that we wanted to grab a drink. She immediately dismissed us and said we cannot sit in that area because the party who reserved it was about to arrive any minute now. Well, as evidenced by my photos below, it had been over an hour and no one had occupied the area where we were sitting. The bar downstairs was never staffed and we were told we needed to go to the upstairs bar to be served drinks. The bartender was the only hospitable person in that entire establishment. Also, when we moved to the other side of the restaurant, this time with our drinks in hand, we were approached yet again by someone who looked like he could be the manager. Rather than offer us a seating where we could enjoy our drinks, he simply told us that we cannot sit at that particular table. This place was a waste of visit. They were rude and dismissive. They ought to take a page out of Stephen Starr’s book when it comes to excellence in service and talent in the restaurant industry. Which, by the way, was where we headed after our time at this wannabe, overpriced, superficial supper club.

Desirea Conner: Sax is always a great time ! I went with my best friend for a pride event and we had so much fun !

Bryan Jordan: Awesome decor and entertainment. Easily spend $200 between two people, so bring your $$$ but the drinks and food were executed very well. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great place for a date night, birthday party, or special event. We will be returning again for sure, well worth the trip into DC.

Dani Pass: Never go here. The staff is so aggressive. As a woman I felt so unsafe. I saw their bouncer grab people by the neck and aggressively take people out in an unacceptable way. This person cannot be working there. Brendon, the one working at the door was completely unhelpful and ignorant about this serious situation.

David Salcido: The ambiance is great but it was a little weird having a bunch of dogs in such a small place and the service was bad. Getting a seat is very difficult on a Friday night since it is so small. The service at the bar could have been better. We sat for a good 30 minutes in between drinks before we could get the bartender to come back. One of them was just doing dishes the whole time which was awkward.

dilianna bustillos: The Abraham Lincoln cocktail surprised me. I didn't have high expectations but the drink was perfect. The bartender was very nice and the ambiance was refined and intimate.

Tofig Karimov: The restaurant's service is appalling. For the entire restaurant, there was only one waitress. The hotel, which has a 4.6-star rating, should provide far better service than this. They don't know how to properly pour wine. A good hotel should feature a separate dinner restaurant and a brunch restaurant. I would not suggest this product.

Dennis Mema: Drinks were delicious, and charcuterie board was excellent, but was disappointed in the simplicity of our meals. Ordered sandwiches costing an average of $25 and got the same sandwich, if not worse, that I could order for a third the price at a dive bar down the street.

Garner Marshall: Excellent breakfast spot. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Parking is pretty scarce around the area. Staff is excellent. Good is delicious. Music is diverse. Location is convenient. This is going to be one of my new favorite breakfast spots.

Steven Power: Wonderful location and the food is pretty good. The prices are very high. Brunch for two with no drinks besides one cup of black coffee was $50 for one order of French Toast, one Avocado Toast, and a side of fruit. The service was good overall, but one small thing annoyed me somewhat. We were there for Saturday brunch so I ordered a cup of black coffee right when the waitress first came over. The coffee, which they charged $5 for, finally came a minute before our food. I drank it quickly, thinking that for $5 for a tiny cup, a refill would be in order. No such luck. I don't know if asking for a refill would have taken another 20 minutes and cost another $5, but at that point in the meal, I didn't bother. Overall, a solid 5-stars. The location and ambiance outside are really great.

Mariia Sarlayan: Wonderful food, amazing service, beautiful interior, pleasant vibe. A bit pricey for brunch but worth it. I wish more tables outside had umbrellas for shades but even then the experience was memorable.

Linden Yee: Solid brunch, overall recommend. The eggs on the benedict were pretty undercooked but the flavors were good, and the chicken and waffles were really well seasoned. Service was pretty slow, and the staff seemed to be up against a lot. While the waiter was great, they appeared to be the only one working the entire restaurant.

Khadija Khan: The restaurant has changed a lot since the last time I was here! Really friendly staff and nice ambiance! My favorite was the peanut butter and jelly French toast with the jalapeño honey! It’s an Interesting combo but I really liked it. Our server recommended a really yummy mocktail! The food was a little pricey so I’m not sure if I’ll be visiting again any time soon, but the dishes were innovative and delicious.

idcwhatcoloritis: This had to be an off night cause the place was interesting. The old arcade games were cool and our waitress did her best with a terrible situation. Two of our three meals were barely warm at best and cold at worst. The other was basically frozen salmon from a grocery store on what looked like Couscous but was actually rice some how. They nuked our food in the microwave and brought it back out. The vegan burger both smelled and tasted like fish. Completely inedible. All in all, the food was terrible all around. The only plus to this experience was the owner who took both meals off our bill and bought us a round of shots to make up for it after there POS system went down. We saw at least 10 plates go back to the kitchen while we were there. I don’t think this is normal cause most of the people there seemed like regulars and were super confused by there food. I think it was an off night but I don’t think any of my group will be returning.

Lisa Mayberry: Cute little place for brunch out of the way in a hotel down New Hampshire Street. Outside patio seating is nice for a cool day with the umbrella up.

Harvest Tide Steakhouse: This restaurant is exquisite. Chef Mel is amazing, he understood my dietary needs and my meal was delicious he even gave me some of the special sauce from my meal to take home. I must say the front of the house is wonderful also, Juan, Stephen, Jose and Jordan.

Angela Kappus: The atmosphere of Sonoma was top notch. It's a relatively quiet place to meet up and talk over some great wine. The food is good but standard, focusing on pasta, pizza, and a few entrees. I wished there were more varied appetizers for a group. I would recommend Sonoma more as a place to linger and talk rather than a foodie place.

Bob Krumm: What a great dinner date experience! Very good wine list. The menu was a nice variety too. But neither were so extensive that they were without focus. We paired four courses with four wines and all were exceptional. They use a nitrogen system so that glasses are just as fresh as unopened bottles. And the food is awesome. Definitely recommend the mussels and the tuna tartare. And don’t skip the port for dessert. Strong five stars!

Jose Luis Aparicio: Excellent bar and restaurant , the Sonoma burger was great but, bartender Juan and Jose were amazing. I would like to recommend this cocktail: old fashioned🍹.

Sarah Bartholomew: Sonoma has become my go-to destination for great company, great wine, and dishes that hit the spot. There's a great variety of both wine and food, so you can come here and try something new with every visit. The diversity is key. The staff is incredibly friendly and personable and have quickly become friends. Come to Sonoma for the wine, stay for the company! Can't recommend this place enough.

Melissa Tavilla: I stopped for lunch on a weekday while waiting for my entry time to the Library of Congress. The food was perfect. Salad greens with salmon and a side of focaccia. I ate outside to enjoy the fine weather and watch the world go by. The server was efficient but not welcoming. The glass of wine with lunch made it all a little too expensive for a lunch time stop.

Ellen Tani: A sad exemplar of DC’s reputation for food mediocrity. Went here for lunch with a friend at 11:45 am on a weekday. The restaurant was nearly empty, took them 30 minutes to bring me a glass of wine. The food is uninspired and expensive, probably because it’s so close to the capital grounds. Go a couple blocks west for better options!

Amanda Persad: I’ve been before and I feel like the quality of food and ingredients were incredible. But they truly topped themselves for restaurant week. I got oyster stew, whole dorado, and creme caramel w chocolate pearls. Amazing.

Paul Krzych: Sonoma is THEE place to go for a great meal on Capitol Hill. Pastas are exquisite as is their cocktail, wine, and beer programme. Great staff, too! Went most recently to their annual crab feast. A must do event during the summer!

Justin Scheblein: My wife and I went here to have some drinks and had a great time! The service was awesome, a manager kept checking in with all the tables and the wait staff were great! The drinks were original and tasted awesome. We ended up ordering some food too, because it looked so good. Will definitely go back!

Eduardo Paraan: I had a very high expectations of the brasserie being in a prestigious hotel brand but I was disappointed by the choice of food in the menu, which I thought was modest at best. The server however was absolutely great and definitely saved the evening from being disastrously ruined.

Hugh W: My wife and I wanted to try some French food, the ambience was nice, the server was very helpful with explain the different French foods on the menu, it was spacious and not like your typical French restuarant where everyone is bunch together. We order steak and chicken, it was well peppered and tasty, for appetizer we tried the french onion soup it was unique, we'll definitely go again.

Andra Lyn: I visited with a guest from out of town in this lovely French-cafe style eatery housed within their hotel. The atmosphere was pleasant with a mixture of business guests and (seemingly) millenials in the know who would rather avoid the crowds at Starbucks and the like. Service was attentive and friendly. They were not skimpy with the cream and sugar for my coffee. I will gladly return when in downtown DC during the morning rush.

Harry Fang: That chicken breast was the most moist and tender breast I have ever had. Amazing! Restaurant week special.

Ana Mitchell: I traveled in for an event last weekend. Ambiance and Entree/Cocktail were great, however the Wait Staff was way too aggressive. I had a 7PM reservation, and called to share I’d be running late, but was still questioned by a Server when I arrived. I offered to sit at the Bar even though almost all of the restaurant was empty, where I was hovered over the entire time being told 2 or 3 times to order a dessert, and 3 or 4 times to order a second drink with my meal. I shared that I had an event early the next morning and declined, and then was told by a Server that I “would learn one day what it was like to work and have responsibilities..”? I suppose he judged my age off my appearance, and I shared in response that I have a full time career and a second job, to which he then stopped pushing for more orders. I felt uncomfortable throughout, payed cash and left immediately following my meal. As I was leaving, the same Server felt obligated to hand me my receipt when I already laid cash out, in an effort to attempt to protect his tip, I imagine. I tipped my usual 20%, but likely shouldn’t have given how aggressive they were throughout. I’d encourage doing research and finding a better spot, or definitely opting for the patio or a regular table.

Solana Cox: We celebrated our 5 year anniversary here all the way from Pittsburgh and let me tell you, Ocean Prime did not disappoint. It was well worth the start of our road trip to DC. Everyone who came to our table went above and beyond. I ordered the teriyaki salmon and it was scrumptious! When I told the waiter that it was our anniversary, they made sure it was going to be a night to remember. Highly recommend this place.

Syerra Carigo: We visited for happy hour on Wednesday and it wasn’t too crowded. I tried their delicious steak tartare and my husband had their oysters. I also tried their “berries and bubbles” cocktail which comes with dry ice, Belvedere citrus vodka, marinated berries, house made sour, and Chandon Brut. This drink was so sweet and very cute! The staff were all friendly, and all the bartenders attended to you whether they were serving you or not. We had a very nice time. I’m looking forward to returning for dinner.

Danovel Tolli: This was my first time Dining at Ocean Prime. Taking my lady out for her birthday. It was nothing more than a top tier experience. The waiter Briyan was awesome..extremely friendly, warm, and you just knew he enjoyed serving us and you felt it everytime he visited the table. The first thing I tasted was the Surf and Turf Scallop, and prime rib..Amazingly tender and full of flavor. Nothing more than immaculate. The Lamb Chops were the best I have ever tasted from anywhere. Prepare to be here for a while as they do take their time to give you an experience. I will be going back for the Private dining experience for sure.

chris chadwick: Oceans Prime was truly a great experience. The service was friendly and on top of everything very impressed for a busy place. The food was amazing. I had a 10 filet cooked medium rare minus....tender, juice and delicious. The peanut butter chocolate cake thing out of this world! Great food and wine excellent service.

eriko p: Ocean Prime was the BEST meal we had during our visit to DC. Hands DOWN the BEST!!! We were exhausted after another day of walking around the Mall and the museums and needed an oasis to sit down, relax and hydrate. We stumbled into Ocean Prime without knowing what to expect. We were seated immediately to a beautiful quiet booth. The booths on the perimeter face the street and those booths are beautiful deep blue velvet ones! ( next time I might request those! ) Our server ( tall Chinese woman) was spot on perfect! She asked if we wanted water: still, bubbly or tap. We chose bubbly and there were free refills! We drank a lot of water! She was helpful and polite in her suggestions. We started our meal with steak tartare and it was spiced and flavored beautifully! It was the best steak tartare we have had in a long time. I ordered the scallops over risotto and my husband ordered the chilean sea bass. Both dishes melted in our mouths and we were relishing each bite. The food was beautifully presented. The staff all seemed to work extremely well! That takes a lot of training and good leadership. Bravo! I saw a few business men having their lunches as well as older couples. We were not dressed in business attire, but it didn't seem to matter. Francina Thomas: My family made reservations at this Restaurant for my birthday celebration. I loved it, felt like a Queen for the evening. Everything was wonderful from start to finish. The check in crew were friendly and professional- found our reservations and table was ready on the spot. Our waiter Alexander was superb !! He was friendly, knowledgeable on the menu, wine, sprits and dessert. His recommendations were excellent. He truly made my birthday special by treating me to my dessert. How sweet. The Food was Delicious 😋 😍!!! The prices were upscale but so was the service and food- definitely worth it. The portions were large. The variety was awesome. We tried a bottle of Resling wine from a California venue which was light, fruity and semi sweet - just like i like it. There were 6 of us coupled off with a meal price around $150.00 to $250.00 per couple. I will definitely keep this place in mind for a return visit.

Ron Paige: Amazing Experience. Sofia was an amazing Server. Professionalism personified❤ Dining Manager Ebony was amazing and checked on us along with the Sou Chef. It lives up to the hype. Monica R S: Berries and Bubbles cocktail was soooo good and it was fun to watch the bubbles. The Prime Roll was delicious, good texture, fish was fresh. The Lobster Tails were perfectly cooked and it’s a big portion! The carrot cake is good but it’s a tad too sweet for my taste, it is a big portion so it’s good to share. Our server Derek was very attentive and friendly.

TeQuila Carroll: This place is cute. Like IG worthy but that’s it lol Went here for brunch on Sunday, of course, and it was just OK. No valet parking. They take reservations but I think b/c EVERYBODY has been here it was not packed at all. Suitable for all ages (21-50). The food was subpar. Bottle service was a joke to me. They have hookah, electric, which was very different than your standard coal option. It’s a set menu for brunch. $35 for a appetizer, entree, and dessert. You can order Mimosas by the glass or opt for the “bottle service”(6 mini bottles of champagne) with a complimentary juice. If you want extra juice it’s $10. Don’t let the camera guy fool you. It’s $20 a photo. They do have a DJ but they seemed inexperienced. I’m glad I went b/c it was so hyped. But I’m wouldn’t return.

Briana “Bre” Williams: A very nice and chic lounge. The decor is amazing and the seafood mac n' cheese is delish. Plus, the drinks were on point whenever they arrived. The downside, the wait staff was a little slow. Overall, it was a great time and we were celebrating a birthday so if you're thinking about a birthday gathering this is a great place to start. They also serve smokeless hookah (that's the first time we had heard of it but we liked it) that you have to order from the hookah girl.

Shavon Alicia B: I enjoyed the vibe and atmosphere. The food not so much. Our waiter was super sweet and nice. This more of a vibe, smoke hookah spot and a light meal like wings. Not a really Brunch ,due to the food being just ok.

Brittani George: I will continue to support this business and make sure to come back. I went here to see my first drag brunch for my bachelorette party (part 2), and the place, food, staff, and performers were all top-notch.

Misha Hill: We were there for Frequency Fridays and I'd give the party 4 stars too. Great venue, the downstairs is spacious with good seating for bottle service and plenty of space to dance and mingle. Cheeky decor set the vibe and the bottle girls and bartenders were great. We had an issue with management or the promoter around bottle prices, but they were somewhere accommodating. Just be wary if you book for Frequency Friday on Eventbrite, the bottle prices listed may not be what's available.

Carla Ferguson (Your Bon Viveur): I attended a birthday brunch here. The atmosphere was great, especially with the beautiful decor. Our server was excellent and so attentive to all of our needs, requests, etc. The brunch was excellent, shout out to the chefs. All of the food that we had was great! So, it was all good until....we tried to get drinks from the bar. Service was slow, there were 2 bartenders but 1 was mostly working. The one bartender was also rude as she seemed very overwhelmed. Then it went downhill with the promoters and management....We spent over $1,300 on brunch and hundreds at the bar for additional drinks. We tried to pay for a table for the Birthday Girl, and received incorrect information about what was required. Instead of kindly explaining to us what was required they rudely came over and asked us to get up. Now, I'll be the first to say that if I want to spend any amount of money, I will, and that wasn't a problem, but what I don't condone is rude customer service! It was all good up until that point. Please work on that management because if a promoter is in your establishment they represent you and your establishment. Also if you don't respect your customers through their entire experience then you will eventually continue to loose faithful, paying customers. Sometimes we all need an attitude check. Giving respect, earns respect! Great Food + Atmosphere + Good CUSTOMER SERVICE = Repeat Customers

Ryan Morton: I would not recommend this place. My boyfriend tried to surprise me for my birthday to come here. We were running a little late because we were looking for parking. They did not inform us that we had to be on time or you will lose your reservation. So we lost our reservation after 15 minutes. Once my boyfriend spoke with the people at the door, they told us to go online to request a refund and reschedule. We try to request the refund online, and then received an ignorant response. “Unfortunately you were late, no refunds.” The people that work there in front of the door advised us to go online and request a refund and reschedule. I would never come here, I would never tell my friends to come here, I would never recommend this place. Definitely went somewhere else for my birthday and had a ball. I hope y’all step your customer service game up one day, because if not, y’all would definitely lose business.

Vocalbeast AJ: It saddens me to have to give this place such a low rating. I’ve passed this place many times on Sunday and wondered how their brunch was. I took a friend for her birthday, and I was very disappointed. Firstly, their website stressed the important of being on-time, however, we waited in line and didn’t get in until after our reservation time. The line was cramped and people also were being allowed to just walk in the front of the line because their party had already been waiting...causing a further delay for us to give our contact into and do the temperature checks. The server was anything but pleasant. She kept forgetting our order, and got an attitude when I ask for a manager considering after well over an hour my food had not arrived. Both dishes were done incorrect, but more importantly my own which came finally well after my friend finished eating hers. I ordered a MW steak which came out WellDone, and fried hard eggs that came out over easy. When the first plate came out...like I said well before the second plate but still about an hour after the order was placed, the server made a guess that it belong to my friend. We order the same thing with a few differences. Here had an item on it that I specifically told the waitress I was allergic to. The manager on duty was polite and attempted his best to resolve it, but unfortunately his efforts feel extremely short. I was totally dissatisfied and turned off by the experience. The food I received came as they were transitioning into their next phase of dinning, clearly exceeding two hours. We stayed to finish our drinks we purchased, paid for the bill, and continued on to another spot nearby so I could eat. I thought about giving them another shot because the decor is amazing and the music was right on time...however this is not a solo or duo type place. You need a group of 4 or more to get seating that won’t be by the bathroom or in an area where staff including management can stand. I dealt with three guys above 6 feet who worked there including security standing right by me so they could watch the game. Clearly violating the six feet rule. I asked if they could move and they ignored me until I asked a staff member to ask them. This caused people to but my table trying to pass them and my person. I love football, but also like being in good health. I can’t recommend this place for food, but it def attracts a nice young adult crowd where the majority are pretty well put together if you’re looking to network.

Paul Thurrott: Overpriced, pretentious eatery inside an overpriced, pretentious hotel. The presentation was fantastic but the food was all bland. Did I mention it was overpriced? It was.

Hope Greenleaf: I mostly come here because it is a beautiful space. The food is typically just fine, not bad and not stand out or exciting, but a good meal. The service is unfortunately lacking. I think they are used to a slow pace because it isn’t a very popular place, but they should still check on the guests.

Scotty ST: I had a great time here last night, primarily because it was a company event and I didn't have to pay. The drinks were excellent, my whisky sours were made with crown royal and my gin and tonics were made with Bombay sapphire. Excellent service, the staff was very friendly and fast to get my order. I tried the steak, that was available at the party. The steak was fantastic, cooked perfectly with a pink in the center. The chicken quesadillas and guacamole were excellent. The atmosphere of the bar was warm and relaxed. Defiantly will come back. The bathrooms are outside of the bar and around the corner. Bathrooms were clean and fully stocked.

Alexis: Food was great, but extremely pricey!

Tommy O'Connell: We went to the Ritz Carlton before going to Citronelle for what we thought would be nice, fancy cocktails. We went around 8pm for a drink before dinner, and were disappointed. My wife's drink was okay, nothing special, and I was embarrassed by my Old Fashioned. It was completely watered down. Along with that the service was not very good - they handed, handed us the drinks without a napkin, while we were sitting at a table. Now, going to a regular bar - I expect that. But paying $15 or whatever it was for a watered down whiskey drink and poor service made us both unhappy with this place. Its the Ritz Carlton for goodness sakes!

Tatianna Barrett: My family and I ate here for Christmas Eve dinner, and I have to say we were disappointed. While I appreciated the fact that the chef was able to have vegan options (called ahead, of course), in NO WAY did I think it was worth the same price as the regular prix fixe menu items. It was good, but definitely not for the price; should have paid half. The sorbets, unfortunately, tasted like freezer burn. The rest of my family enjoyed their food, so that's good. The big reason why the 2 stars was the service and quality of service. It took an incredible amount of time in between meals to get our next meal. Literally took almost 25 MINUTES to just get our drinks. Additionally, you couldn't really tell who was a server and who wasn't. You could completely tell that the restaurant was really understaffed that evening, and it just showed across the board, and seemed a little chaotic and unorganized. And unfortunately, our "main" server kept blaming other people, circumstances, etc. for the wait time, and ended up having a little bit of an attitude and quite defensive when we brought this up nicely. Listen, we completely understand we're dining in a pandemic and that people call off sick, don't show up, or don't want to work; however, if you're a HIGH END restaurant, despite the circumstances, you must deliver the same quality. And if not, then changes have to be made, such as limit the amount of reservations. And then, when we went to get our coats, the hostess was nowhere to be found; and when found, she was in the kitchen doing dishes. We spent well over 3 hours here, and it wasn't us just enjoying long conversation and the ambience. Unfortunately, it's an "enter at your own risk" type of review.

Morgan Fykes: Had a fabulous time back at Corduroy. The food was delicious and the service was good (poor guy was flying solo cause it was a VERY quiet night) - definitely enjoyed the meal and was glad to be back!!

Scott Plunkett: We just dined here for the Christmas Eve and I thought the experience overall was good with some areas of improvement. The service was acceptable but for the price I would have expected a slightly higher degree of attention to detail. Our waitress couldn’t really describe any dish in detail or how it would be presented when asked, and timing of service was a little odd as well. The first course came IMMEDIATELY, and I mean immediately after ordering before we had even time to butter our bread or take a drink of our cocktail, fine- but then afterwards the second course took a very, very long time to come out after we were done with the first course- just seemed a little odd, nitpicking maybe but I felt a little more continuity in timing would have been nice. We were about half way done with our dinner when someone came and asked if we were done- clearly we weren’t- again maybe too picky of me but there were leftover butter plates and other silverware on the table which weren’t taken away at the same time, just a little odd. Overall slightly slower/less attentive/aware service than I would have expected. But that may just be me using the high bar of DC restaurant service as an unrealistically high expectation. The food I thought was quite good, the tuna tartare and red snapper bisque were delicious. The sauces for each entree were amazing and the cuts of meat were perfectly fine but nothing to write home to mom about. Dessert was also very good. Overall I would recommend this restaurant to a friend and the combination of food and service was reasonable for the price point. Waitress could have known more about food and wine options and service could have been a bit more cohesive/attentive.

Zoe Burger: Best meal I've had in a LONG time. I already want to go back. We had the tuna. I also had the red snapper bisque- amazing. My friend had the beet salad and she enjoyed it. Oh, but that tuna! Perfection! Waitress was helpful and nice but she let us sit a bit too long once we finished. I noticed a faint cigar scent from the shop next door.

Boulder Skywatcher: We were a party of 5 who came to DC for a once in a lifetime celebration. I very much regret having chosen this restaurant for our family celebration. The food was good, but the service was beyond terrible. We waited to be seated (NOBODY at the door to greet guests), we waited 20 minutes for water and menus, our wine glasses stayed empty, our meal service took forever, and we skipped dessert because there was nobody who could be bothered to attend us. Yes, the food was good, but not so good to tolerate such bad service. I am sick of being told restaurants can't get help. Then don't open your doors. You very nearly took the special out of our special occasion, and there is no excuse whatsoever for taking so much of a customer's money and delivering such a terrible experience.

Jeff: So here is the deal. I got a dinner for 2 valued at $120 thru Verizon up program. After making the reservation I took my wife and we went to the restaurant. The restaurant is very nice and quiet with low lighting, it has a modern look to it. The lady who greeted us was super nice and gave us our Verizon up menus. Then came the server. When she saw we had Verizon up menus she looked not so happy. She never introduced herself. She took our order. I ordered green salad that was great. Then Flat iron steak with mushrooms for main course ( she never asked what sides I wanted when the plate can it had potatoes and green beans on it). I did not want to make a scene but anyway the food was excellent. Kudos to the Chef. Then came dessert it was Pistachio bread pudding, which was delicious. Other then the server being standoffish and not coming to check on us the restaurant was beautiful and the food was great.

lynda wright: There were 8 of us All LOVED the food and service. Only down side was the cigar shop next door. The smell was coming into where we sat. Several of the group were absolutely appalled. We do not SMOKE!! Understand the restaurant is trying to work out a solution. But next time we come we will change where we sat. BUT ABSOLUTELY 1 of the best restaurants in DC.

TYG Handyman: One of the best gems in DC. Wine list is great, service is excellent and food is awesome. Never had a bad meal. Chocolate tart, tuna with rice, all the soups just eat everything.

Hilda Kroll: A nice, quiet place to have lunch and a challenge to remember the names of the famous people whose portraits are hanging everywhere. The short rib grilled cheese sandwich had lots of tender meat and was oozing with cheddar and Bel paese cheese. What made it unique and special was the radicchio-citrus marmalade. Reasonably priced with great service thanks to Chanel.

antoinette rodney: Food was good. Pleasantly surprised by the cornbread. I was expecting the usual starter bread. The cornbread was served in an iron skillet so it stayed warm longer! I had the pasta special which was pasta made on site with lobster and clams. It was not heavy at all! I also had the Occidental salad which was also light and good. Normally with a meal this size I walk out of the restaurant feeling like I had a ton of bricks in my stomach because I was so full but not here. Decor is interesting. Many pictures on the walls of influential people in Washington. Waiter was attentive!

Khoi Nguyen: Came here for lunch with some coworkers. We had some oysters, angus burger, crab cake sandwich and the fried green tomato BLT. Everything here was delicious. Oysters were so good we had to order another dozen. The burgers and sandwiches are a must order. The crunch from the thick cut bacon and fried tomato in the BLT was definitely the highlight. The crab sandwich was cooked perfectly and the added water crest added some great texture. This is a great place to people watch. The outside patio is perfect when the sun is out. Food and ambience here is great. If you want seafood and American food this is one of the best spots around the mall.

Raquel Gitch: The atmosphere is great. We enjoyed looking at the photos and guessing who everyone was. All 6 of us enjoyed delicious meals, we tried everyone's plates and my halibut was the winner then the truffle fries were a close second.

YT White: My team visited for lunch during DC Restaurant Week, the food at the Occidental was really good and we all had something different. The best part of our visit was the service, hands down Ashley is one of the best servers in the area!! Her knowledge of wines (and their appropriate glasses) really scored big with me. She was patient answering our many questions about the menu items and remained kind even when overwhelmed by the group's excitement and enthusiasm. The entire team of servers were professional and etiquette and they all helped to create a wonderful team outing. I look forward to another opportunity to dine here soon. 🍴

Andy Ho: Slight bit of wait but that's alright. Restaurant is split into two sections, one formal dining and the other the bar. Stopped at the bar side and ordered wine. Has a decent wine selection and the price is ok. Portion for the ahi tuna was a little too small. Burger was fine but by then was too full to finish the whole plate.

Liam Amiri: Great location, very nice staff and a very peaceful place. But the food wasn't that great. I ordered the Amish chicken sandwich and it was a very average gas station kinda club sandwich :) for real! My friend ordered the Salmon and he wasn't very happy either... I hope they work on the food taste and quality cause this restaurant is a beautiful place.

Janine Beatty: The food and ambiance was great. I sat outside on a beautiful day. The service was ok, but not as attentive as I would expect from this type of restaurant. The waitress assumed I wasn't going to order because I asked if happy hour food was served at tables. She also passed me multiple times to check on other tables. I wouldn't say she was rude, just didn't seem to think I needed the same level of service.

Karen L: We took advantage of restaurant week to revisit an old friend, the Occidental. The food is still great. The seating arrangement does not crowd the room and allows for conversation. We enjoyed all the dishes we had as they were interesting and well done. Will definitely put the Occidental back on the list for lunch rotations given our pleasant dining experience. If the ice cream cookie sandwich is on the menu, get it! the cookie was fab! (My fantastic Grilled Point Judith Calamari Salad is pictured: Beet Yogurt, Barley Chips, Apricot -Harissa Coulis, Summer Mixed Greens, Shaved Daikon Radish)

Rachael Dollar: really enjoyed the imperial’s sunset happy hour. it’s 4pm-9pm on weekdays — how perfect! their cocktails are truly amazing and their bar team is super passionate about the drinks they create. really great management team as well. thank you for the hospitality!

Saminda Wijegunawardena: This review is only for the rooftop bar upstairs, I have yet to dine here though it looks quite promising from a design premise alone. Loved the hidden away, cozy rooftop bar. On a Friday evening around 10pm, there were only a handful of folks there and we had two highly skilled and friendly bartenders attending to us every moment. I sampled two cocktails and they were both expertly crafted but wildly different. Luna Cosecha - Don Julio Blanco Tequila, Martini & Rossi Fiero Amaro, Amaro Cio Ciaro, Lime Infused Verjus Rouge, Trinity Bitters, Pink Himalayan Salt It was described as a cross between a margarita and a martini and while that's somewhat apt, that description does a disservice to the complex flavor in this elegant and beautiful drink. -- Ice Cold Sunshine - Lustau Amontillado Sherry, Martini & Rossi Rubino Reserva, Cabernet Sauvignon, Coke Reduction, Trinity Bitters This was a sweet, bold and highly indulgent creation. The presentation was lovely too, representing the playful but strong flavors in this cocktail.

Russ Dean: We dined on the rooftop and Joey took fabulous care of us. The food was amazing ESPECIALLY for the price and atmosphere they provide. We loved everything we tried from the duck to the beef wellington. I can't recommend them enough after a fine dining experience that didn't break the bank, all while while being inclusive and welcoming to all guests. I've paid nearly twice as much for meals that were less impressive. Their chef and owners should be super proud. ***Give Joey a raise, his knowledge around his beverage offerings was impressive***

Daniel Garatea: Great drinks, and a nice atmosphere, especially after it dumped a ton of rain and soaked my group on the way there. The food was great, albeit a little short on the portioning for the price. But a great place to go to eat and drink. Definitely in my top list for DC restaurants.

Timmy Liu: Great clean vibe. Good tasty food that is well presented. Portions are small so make sure to order enough.

Sunny: The most bizarre customer experience ever! We walked in the place on a Saturday night. Not a single customers. When we asked the host for a table for drinks (we planned to have some appetizers as well), so said only the bar area is available. We then asked to sit on the window bar stools (a small area away from the bar and not in the dinner table area). The host said “you could, but then the waiter will have to serve you”. Wow, I didn’t realize that it would be a burden to ask a waiter to serve the drink when you go to a restaurant. Not giving up on the place, I then asked “are all dinner tables booked?”, the host replied “pretty much”…. I left speechless.

peter smith: We held a private event at the Imperial/Jack Rose earlier this month and had a great experience. The management went above and beyond to accommodate a last minute weather change and the staff was excellent. The food and drinks were delicious and our guests were delighted. We can highly recommend it.

Lily Bates: We came here for brunch yesterday on the rooftop, and I’ll just say our service was really horrible. We waited 30 minutes between “bottomless“ mimosa refills, our server seemed to disappear and not pay us any heed—the 5 stars are for Katherine who noticed our lack of attention and kindly tried to fill in when she could. She was the only one who cleared our plates, took additional drink orders despite not being our server, and took the time to make us feel welcome despite the two large parties she was dealing with. We will be back for Katherine (thank you!) and the food.

Skip everything else. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Was recommended to try this place by an Oyster guy who works at my local farmer's market and supplies the restaurant with his oysters. He said they have great food and oysters. I'm sad to report that the food, service, and price are disappointing. Also embarrassed that I asked couple of my foodie friends to join because they commented. Highlights - Drinks decently made and boozy; and oysters are fresh and clean. - Décor - Good people watching since the place is on the corner of a busy intersection. Downfalls - Food - Got the beef wellington, it was small portion, dry, and over salted. Tasted ok. For $25+ it should have been better quality control before leaving the kitchen. - Wild boar rigatoni was overly salted and still had the smell of gamely boar. C'mon, clean the meat thoroughly, like with gin or vodka then broil it with ginger, rosemary, and thyme to rid the smell and taste of game. - Burger - tasted like a burger, nothing special. cost +$18. wow! - Service - The service at our table was.. there, then not there. Saw her twice in the hour or so we were there. We left hungry and went down the street for pizza and a beer. Sincerely hope the place improve on food quality/experience and table service.

Lynn Autumn: Very nice vibe. Strong drinks and fun laid back crowd for a Wednesday night. I would definitely recommend this place. R&B themed night with an outside deck. The DJ was awesome they have great hookah but at $60 it’s a bit overpriced.

Malik Small: Last night my wife and friends sat at the bar and was there over 30 mins ordered food, drinks, and hookah and was told by another bartender “Brownskin and tall Ethiopian” that we had to get up and give our seats to some people that supposedly bought a bar table “ bought a bottle” and they reserved it which is crazy because their are no reservations on the bar it’s open seating and to ask us to get up in the middle of our meals and fun to let these other people of 5 to have our seats is ridiculous. We told our original bar tender to close us out so we could just leave all together and she was stunned at what we told her this new bartender that just came in told us so it must of been some personal friends but it was straight up disrespectful, they violated us, and we will never return here again and as a club owner my self of a bar on 9th st nw I will be sure to let others know of this bias club and not to go there because they don’t respect people rights

Michael Anderson: I thought the place was pretty dope given that we're in a pandemic. They follow some of the cities quarantine restrictions but those are about to be lifted so no problem either way. I had a really good time. The security and bartenders were super nice. I've never been privileged to this before. I will say that their alcohol selection isn't the best.

Sherrie Dixon: While the food was pretty good, the service is slow and they are so unorganized as it relates to seating. Not to mention the seating is old and almost offensive to sit on. We were a party of 4 and the tables are so small, I has to sit some of my food on the already dirty furniture. Take out would be good because again, the food was tasty, but the brunch experience left A LOT to be desired.

Michael Lightner: This bar was good before, however the bartenders are extremely unprofessional and rude. I assumed after things opened back up after Covid, customer service would be at an all time high. But it’s worst now. I’m not sure the bartender name, but she is a lite skin tall woman. I urge that anyone to stay away from her. Please spend your money with another bartender, or visit another spot.

N. Moore: Brunch music and food were good, parking was tricky, but had a nice time. Bottomless mimosas a plus!

Isaiah I-Say-ah Walker: The decor is underwhelming, we were seated in a long double sided booth, due to size of are party. However, the bench cushion had many visible burn holes making it very unattractive! We were then moved to long table with high chairs, that was much better for our group. The customer service was basic with no enthusiasm! I will say the food was good, not great! My Sangria had too much ice in it, making it slightly watery. However, my mimosa was perfect and had me nice and tipsy by time I left!

Tatyana Morena: I came here from out of town for my birthday weekend and this place did not disappoint. The pizza is amazing and the service is great!! The blue magic cocktail is chefs kiss. I had to compliment to the owner. The ambiance is amazing. The DJ is awesome , a very mature and elegant experience.

Herbert Newby: Went there during the night club hours to celebrate a friend's marriage. We bought 2 hookahs, 2 bottles, and a bunch of Red Bulls and had a great time. The DJ was 🔥 and the crowd was very diverse, consisting of 20 to 50 y.o., Black, White, Brown, & African.

GOD SON: been to their Sunday brunch twice and it’s the best!!! its always super packed,please go early to have the best experience. And if they send you an email saying to make a reservation, do it! That way you don’t have to wait too long outside. The DJs are always good. Plays hip hop, dancehall, Afro beats.The day party is a lot of fun.

garet thompson: Stopped by at 1:00 for brunch, my girl friend and I ordered a plate of French toast, eggs, fries, and bacon to share. Bill came out to $52. Don’t understand how one Plate of food came out to $52. No prices on the menu. Average Food shouldn’t be over priced like that..

Lynn O.: Very unprofessional people working. Me and my friends made a reservation for 6 people and showed up a few minutes before our reservation only to be told it would still be over an hour wait. When we asked what the point of make a reservation was the hostess just stuck out her lip and shrugged. Terrible experience. Don’t bother making a reservation even though they suggest you do so on the website and when you call. Your time will be wasted.

María Marshall: I enjoyed visiting Barcode with friends. We were welcomed and enjoyed the outdoor seating to freely smoke our hooka and cigars. The ladies provided excellent service. In the inside you can enjoy a medley of adult libations to go with the sounds of the music. If you are a local DMV artist this is a great place to have your album release party. The young and grown converge here for fun.

Ev B: This place was PERFECTION! Shot out to our waiter we called him DK (I can't remember his real name sorry) who was GREAT‼️ Excellent Customer Service and the food was AMAZING! THE BAND WAS PHENOMENAL! The Lady at the front door who greets everyone was so sweet and nice. Oh I can't wait to go BACK❤️

Victoria Little: 20% gratuity added to check, $2 fee to per person because we brought a cake in. Oh and $10 added to tab for the band, was removed since they weren't playing before we departed. It was a little disappointing since none of this was mentioned when I reserved a table for five. Food and drinks were average. Do yourself a favor and go to a better place for the price.

Tiffany Frazier: Loved this intimate spot on our weekend visit to DC. We didn't eat but everyone around us was and it looked yummy. We enjoyed the generous drinks and the Sol Roots Trio band. Will visit again on my next visit. Don't find many spots like this anymore.

Alex Moore: Came for the jazz and will probably only come back for the live jazz. The drinks were pretty standard, maybe a little too sweet on their fruit based cocktails. We had a reservation but had to wait ~20-30minutes for the table, despite arriving on time, since the party before us took their time to gather up and leave. The food was ok, and took a very long time to come out. Ordered the lamb chops rare, but only one of the 3 were rare. The chops varied in thickness too, which added to the uneven doneness. The dish was supposed to come with garlic mashed potatoes but came out with a few potato wedges instead, the spinach side was good. They add 20% gratuity to your bill and $10/head for live music.

Charlene Bermudez: Bar seating, unless reservation for a table has been made. Food was probably exactly one notch higher than bar food, which is not bad at all. As for drinks, I ordered the ellington, which is worth trying out for it's originality and bold taste. The live music was great. The Keith Butler Trio was playing on the night I stopped by. Definitely recommend stopping by when they're scheduled to play.

Robert Williams: This is a historical building allowing members and guests of members only. The dining experience is top rate.

Charles Clark: Unique ambiance and historical venue in Wasbington, DC. Private club not generally open to the public, but attendance at meetings of PSWScience will enable one to experience the Cosmos Club firsthand

M K: I’ve been lucky to be here for a concert, and it’s just gorgeous, every detail is just beautiful.

Shlomo Brom: A good restaurant, but a little bit too formal. The salmon was excellent.

Gregory Pettine: A very refined Washington institution. Valet is behind club. Dining, beautiful ballroom, meeting rooms, library. New menus and chef. Lafayette room is a treat for private parties. The ballroom was 1nd runner up for our wedding and we looked at many venus. On to the dining: Apps were ok. Mostly individual app sizes, not great for sharing. On to entrees, I need to say that I had dreams about the crab cakes. Actually two mountains of butter infused baked lump crab on my plate were perfectly seasoned and delicious. Lick the plate kinda meal. Duck and veal chops were awesome too. Lamb lollipops done perfectly.

Stephanie Simpson: Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL wedding venue. Went there for a friends wedding reception and it was absolutely gorgeous. Wish I had gotten more pictures of the artwork inside in the venue.

Kevin Lackey: Cosmos Club was simply amazing in so many aspects: History, Architecture, Beauty, Class, Comfort, and Affluence to name a few. We attended a holiday party and enjoyed the excellent food and drinks and overall unique atmosphere. Cosmos is a rare DC find... If you ever have the opportunity to go inside, do it!

Felicia “Felicia Brown” Harris: I attended a Meet & Greet in this lounge and apparently my friend and I were the first to arrive. We asked the staff about it and they were so helpful with trying to figure out if we were in the correct place because there were no events scheduled, the manager even came over to try and help us, offered us drinks as well. So long story short, we were in the correct place but there was no formal booking of this event and the organizers were half and hour late. The atmosphere was chic and cozy. The food we ordered was phenomenal, the wings and the Amish chicken sandwich were very tasty, seasoned well and fried to perfection-not hard and brittle. I am definitely planning a return visit!

Terri Fahnestock: Loved the atmosphere and our drinks were great, but don't expect anything extra. We requested waters with out drinks and snacks and we never received them. We received silverware almost at the end when we were finishing up eating. Service was extremely poor but the tasty drinks make up for it. I highly recommend the DC Sangria.

John Modzelewski: I went for drinks on a Sat night. High drink prices. Beer list is somewhat limited, favoring high volume producers. ($9.50 for a Dogfish 90). Wine list is varied, as are whisky offerings, but again suffering from somewhat high prices. It's a hotel, but there are competing places in the area. Good viewing area for sports, though, so this spot is bound to stay full.

Corrie Davidson: Tucked deep inside the JW Marriott, this swank little bar is perfect for intimate conversations or classy drinks with friends. If you want speedier service, sit at the bar, otherwise prepare to wait eons for your drinks and food. The staff is friendly, just oddly slow. The drinks were fantastic - I especially enjoyed the Potomac Pear-suasion and District Drop martinis - they pour them (perfectly) at your table. The food is elegant and tasty. Our group really enjoyed the seating area arrangements with booths made of armchairs and couches around tables with your own flatscreen TV and remote control. While it runs on the higher-end of prices, they are fitting for the environment and location.

Tiffani (M&M): Visited here for drinks while family was in town. Nice atmosphere with small couch areas to relax and have drinks. I wish they has a few more low carb options on the menu but I know bar food isn't usually low carb.

Nate S: Nice social environment, priced like you'd expect for being under the JW two blocks from the White House. Staff was friendly and prompt. I got to have a good beer, watch the Cubs,and not leave the hotel. A little more food choices and I'd probably gone 5 stars.

Mickey DF: Stopped here before a show at the National Theater. Good drinks and good place for some appetizers.

Chris Greer: Really nice bar, an unexpected find in a bus-terminal-like JW Marriott. The staff makes this place come alive. They interact and are glad you’ve joined them and, most importantly, they make some great drinks.

Alexis Jung: Environment is nice and cozy. TV visible to watch a World Cup game. All food (appetizers and entrees) were all $12. The Lamb Kofta was absolutely delicious.

Franco Gainey: Food and atmosphere was good. Wished they could cater better for larger parties. It was sixteen of us. I had the Victory Omelette, topped with a half of a fried lobster tail. The omelette was stuffed with shrimp, crab, peppers and onions.

Des KF: My boyfriend and I came here for my birthday brunch. When we arrived they sat us upstairs and it was kind of cold so they put us in the covered patio where it was heated. AJ was our server and he was cool. I ordered the bottomless mimosas and my boyfriend got the vodka tonic. They were playing good music while we sat. When we ordered our entrées I ordered the chicken and waffle and boy was it good. The chicken was seasoned to perfection. My boyfriend got the steak and eggs and he loved it. When the bill came 20% gratuity was included. All in all we had a good time and would definitely return.

brittany covington: I’m from Houston and this place came highly recommended from a friend that lives here. The food and music was pretty good, however they are over priced and the service was mediocre. We had to request for the waitress to come and refill drinks and check in, etc. Plus her attitude wasn’t all that great! Their menu is misleading and I just expected better since a friend raves about this place! I don’t like the 20% gratuity that’s added on either! Not worth the service…

Black Star Dust: Great atmosphere, great drinks great food! A must try for the perfect blend between upscale dinning and lounge. Bougie with good music and vibezzz! Sorry I didn’t take more photos but this is one of those spots you’ll want to pop in but definitely check the reservations because sometimes they are booked!

Arielle H: The gals & I visited @victory_washingtondc located in downtown DC by U St 📍🌈. The floral decor alone made the vibes super memorable. The delicious food & bottomless mimosas are also reasons I’d definitely return. Pictured you see “The Barnyard Delicacy” with rosemary cream sauce and curry potatoes (photo 1), the “Victory Omelette” (photo 2), and 1 serving of their Peach Cobbler (photo 3). We also had a great liking to one of their hookah flavors and she wrote the names down for us !! Keasha Esther: Great Ambiance and Great Customer Service! Overall: I came here for my Birthday dinner. The process for making reaervations was smooth and parking was decent. We were able to find street parking 1 block up. Parking was free after 6:30pm so that was a plus. Once we arrived, we were greeted and seated in a timely fashion. Our waitress was very nice, professional, and proficient. Ambiance: it was absolutely beautiful inside. As the night went on, the lights dimmed and it was so beautiful. Cons: Only 1 con. We were seated near the bathroom and there were some gnats flying around. It was a nuisance, but didn't put a damper on the experience. Management: Management came by to check on our experience. That was thoughtful and I think every restaurant should implement this! The Food: L I S T E N T O M E!!!! The food was sooooo good. I had the Strawberry Lemonade to drink, the Shrimp and Lobster Pasta (OMG) and the Bread Pudding. You guys did not let me down at all. Final Notes... I will most definitely be back! You all have a new customer in me!

Simone Sullivan: Me and my friend decided to go here for her birthday. The first time we went to Victory we had a great experience. So we decided to go back for a second time. We got their on a Saturday night around 9:30pm they didn’t have no tables available, cool. But they had bar seating available. We sat at the bar and the first thing we notice was the bartender Attitude. The bartender name was Lindsay she told us she got a bad attitude because she didn’t make no tips all night. So me and my friend like well don’t take that out on us because you didn’t make no tips. She was unprofessional the whole night. And my seafood pasta was not good this time. I will never go back to this place, Worst experience ever. I don’t recommend this place. I try so hard to support black businesses never again we’ll never again at this place.

Neva Faulkner: Great food and atmosphere! Server was nice & attentive during our Saturday brunch. Only cons were us being charged a $30 service charge for a table of 2 & me having to stand outside to confirm the reservation in the heat. The gentleman said that he wasn’t use to hosting after I provided the reservation name! When I inquired about the service fee, I was told it was a tip for everyone who worked the shift.

Briana Goode: Briefly came to visit DC for Fathers Day wknd. My family went to Victory Lounge for brunch on Saturday. We didn’t have a reservation because it was a last minute stop but they accommodated us with no issues. The service was excellent. Our waitress immediately greeted us with water and frequently checked on our table during our stay. The Food. Was. Fantastic ! Best meal we had in DC. The vibes were on point ! Even my 10 month old niece had a ball !! The staff constantly bussed our table when we finished dishes. The only setback is that it gets pretty warm in the building but it definitely didn’t take away from the experience. Will definitely be back. 10/10 will recommend all my friends and family to visit.

Gabriella WOWITSGOLDIE: Had a blast here !! Food was really good for brunch … it’s like a big plate of food and unlimited mimosas … salmon was so good ! Wings came off the bone, delicious. You pay one fee and spend like 3 hours there. The music was pretty good too, after you drink a few glasses you might even get up and dance. Bathrooms upstairs are very tiny and a little outdated other then that service was very good and food was great would definitely recommend! We will be back!

Tasha Fuller: It was all good, from the drinks, appetizers, entrees, to desserts and service. As you can see we were ready and The Park at 14th did not disappoint. We all agreed that the spinach and artichoke dip was “da bomb” the dip was creamy and full of flavor and the the fresh baked chips were the perfect compliment. We also enjoyed the shrimp and calamari. For dinner we ordered jerk wings for the table and I had the lamb, and I was not ashamed to pick up and clean the bone, it was that good. Everyone ordered the brownie for dessert and then we ordered a bread pudding for everyone to sample. I could have eaten them both and some would say I tried. You must check them out when they reopen in March.

Solana Cox: We came here all the way from Pittsburgh to celebrate our 5 year anniversary weekend. Every occasion and celebration that comes up, I will choose this place every time. The service and the DJ was on point. After a nice fine dining experience the night before, this is exactly what we were looking for the next day. Good vibes, good music, good food and drinks, and an all around fun atmosphere. When we told them it was our anniversary, they went above and beyond for us the entire night we were there. All the staff were so helpful and kept checking in on us even if it wasn’t our actual waiter. Special shout out to Dre which I’m assuming is the manager, that guy was running circles assisting staff. I’m a manager myself and now I feel like I need to step my game up watching that guy work lol. He was on top of everything and made sure we left with a memorable experience. I plan on coming back every time I visit DC. If you’re looking for a night out with good food and drinks, a live DJ playing hip hop/ r & b hits from early to mid 2000s, and all around exceptional service, this place is it. Highly recommend.

Jenn (Jenn): A small group of friends and I had dinner at The Park for my friend’s birthday and it was a good time. It was our first time eating dinner here and the food was presently good. I ordered the baby lamb chops with mashed potatoes and asparagus. My meal would have been really good but the gravy was salty so that ruined my meal. The lamb chops were nicely cooked, tender and juicy. The size is accurate for the name, and they were indeed baby size.

Lani: It was okay. The food / drinks came out fast. The happy hour only had two drinks on the menu and they weren’t strong. It was busy so we didn’t see our servers as much. I feel like the entrees are over priced now. We didn’t get enough to match the $30-40 price tags per entree. The wings werent good anymore, they were soggy. The vibe is definitely different now that it’s a restaurant only, which isn’t a bad thing but it should be noted. I think the quantity of food should match what you’re paying. I liked that I could let any server know my order if I didn’t see my server and they took my requests. But I don’t see myself returning here. The servers energy was that I couldn’t just come for drinks anymore and had to order a meal and not just appetizers. He was pushy & kept asking me what I wanted to eat and I had ordered many drinks and apps at the point, didn’t like that. The party next to us was overwhelmingly loud and we couldn’t hear each other.

Kar Ruiz: Great experience. We went for my friend’s birthday and the service was excellent; food amazing. We just loved it. Planing to come back.

Behanka G.: Food was bomb! Drinks were good. I had the pan seared chicken, a tuxedo, and daily punch. First time here and I had a friend visiting. She enjoyed it as well. The place was lively and well decorated. Parking was hard to find on a friday night but luckily there’s valet for $25.

Dan Richards: Went here for brunch as part of a group conference. They gave us a sampler of different foods and everything was great. From the French Toast to the wings every bite was an experience. The mac & cheese was one of the best that I have had at a restaurant. The eggs were fluffy and the bacon was perfect.

Latasha Perry: We made a reservation on open table the day prior as a recommendation from a friend. At our arrival we were greeted and seated promptly. The staff was friendly, attentive and swift. Our food arrived hot and was so good. The jerk wings amazing and the salmon juicy and flavorful. Mac and cheese was perfect. To note: There is a bar for seating as well. The atmosphere is dark themed and the music was complimentary of a Saturday night out.
