Ted's Bulletin: what do users think?

Arash Tavakoli: I had one of my best dining experiences in this place. The breakfast is easily enough for two people. The staff are super welcoming. Try their tarts and that tastes like heaven. Been very happy with the pancakes and hey they bring you a whole container of coffee. I also really liked that when we ordered one breakfast for two, they put it in two different plates. Thoughtful! So enjoy!

Calvin Thumma: My wife and I went here after a recommendation from a co-worker of mine. The area we are from has a number very good bistro and brunch locations but this meal blew them out of the water. My French toast was by far the best I’ve ever had, the bacon was crisp, potatoes were perfect and the eggs yummy. My wife’s meal was equally delicious, she order eggs, potatoes, toast and sausage. Nicole was our server and made sure every was perfect and never left our drinks get close to empty

Paul LaVigne: Enjoyed the bakery treats we had the other day so much we came back for brunch. Be sure to call ahead for reservations as this is a very busy place with longer wait times. The food was excellent. I do recommend you come and enjoy this place when you’re in town

Jessica Zheng: Pretty good brunch location! For drinks, we just got a caramel iced coffee and a vanilla milkshake. Coffee was okay, didn’t really taste the caramel flavor at all. For our meals- I got the Big Mark Breakfast. The sausage was very tasty but the eggs and hash brown were pretty bland, I ended up using dipping them in ketchup. Boyfriend got the salmon toast, that was surprisingly tasty! I was just weirded about eating raw salmon as my first meal of the day but it caught me by surprise!

Tilak Kalaria: Absolutely spectacular dining experience at Tex’s Bulletin for brunch. Service was awesome in this spot with a great ambience and location in DC. The food was excellent too so much to choose from. Their avacado toast has such great attention to detail. The S’mores tart was special! To better enhance our awesome experience someone kind patron paid for my party of 5’s brunch!! Highly recommend Ted’s!!

Fiorella Hidalgo: Went to get the special cherry blossom dessert during the Cherry Blossom Festival! Smoked Salmon Benedict is one of the best I ever had before! (I like it better than Kramer’s!). It took a while to get seated on a Sunday morning, so try to make a reservation in advance!

Hannah: Okay. I’m excited to review this place as an avid brunch food lover. To begin: we were told that the wait time was 40mjn and given a buzzer. Great. No problem, totally understand. To be fair, we hadn’t made reservations that morning. We wait 50min. They then tell us to wait another 30 minutes. My pregnant and hungry friend got it changed to 20min. Still. Once inside, the vibes were great. Our server was fast and attentive. Huge food portions and cute decor. Definitely not worth the weird waiting times, but will definitely make reservations next time!

Jacob Grice: Breakfast was awesome!!! Staff was super nice, restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was uplifting and calming at the same time. Food was very good and filling , you must try the cheese cake!! Defiantly will be back again!!

Old Ebbitt Grill: what do users think?

Natalia Mednikov: There are straightforward American-style food. This restaurant is best known for its huge old-school oyster bar—think lots of dark wood, brass fixtures, and big mirrors. That oysters was fantastic and fresh. We’ve enjoyed also cheese sampler, fried calamari and baked oysters. Everything they do is absolutely delicious. The service was very fast and friendly. We were happy to choose this great restaurant to end our busy day in Washington, D.C.

Aditya Karandikar: Had an awesome time here as a late night/ early next day stop. The food was quite nice and fairly refined, especially at such a late hour! The atmosphere was popping as well which made it more enjoyable. Service was very friendly and they had great oysters. Fresh complimentary bread never hurts either…

Sam M: This place is one of the more famous restaurants in DC. I visited this spot during brunch and it was packed. I would definitely recommend making a reservation for both weekend dinner and brunch services. I started with New England clam chowder and some salad dish. For entrees, I got eggs benedict and catfish. All the dishes I ordered were pretty good. But, I definitely enjoyed their desserts more even though I was pretty full before it. Their key lime pie and salted caramel bread pudding were both amazing! Staffs were very accommodating and attentive during the whole service. I’m planning to visit this restaurant and will get some oysters and burgers next time. I heard they are pretty good. I definitely recommend this place to celebrate any special occasions.

Suzi Figueroa: Wow, wow and wow! A friend recommended this establishment to me when I asked for dining recommendations for my upcoming DC trip. I am so glad I listened. The warm and inviting ambiance matched the service. And the food? Oh my goodness. Delicious. My SO ordered meatloaf. Who knew meatloaf could take on a such an extraordinary presentation.

Elaine Viegas: AMAZING! There is no other word to describe it. Since we arrived until we paid the service was perfect. I couldn’t be more happy for their food, service and kindness on my birthdays lunch. We didn’t mention that it was my birthday but they saw on my profile and as soon as I arrived they asked to confirm and no only brought my desert with a candle and a cute chocolate happy birthday place on the top. Our server was amazing, she arrived singing happy birthday, was very classy and really surprised me. Thank you for the excellence in your service. BTW the food it’s top quality, my oysters and shrimps were fresh abs really tasteful.

Jelena M: Great food, great price, great service! The waiter we had was so nice, knowledgeable, and friendly! The calamari was very good, but watch out for the spicy peppers in it . My salad was yummy! I usually never order salads, but I am glad I did as the dressing was citrusy and refreshing! They also give warm bread and butter while you wait 😍

Unconventional Diner: what do users think?

Zeyu Hu: Went to Unconventional Diner for both brunch and dinner and let me tell you they didn’t disappoint at all. Brunch: Got three different items to share for brunch, and each was unique in its own way but complimented each other so well. The shrimp and grits were perfect. The BBQ shrimp had an amazing smokey smell which really made it stand out. The biscuits were also amazing, nice and crispy and the house made sausage was great. The blueberry pancakes were the fluffiest I’ve ever had, a great sweet treat to end the meal. Dinner: Came back for dinner a week later and it blew me out of the water again. As the name suggests, the menu has a large variety and when the waiter tells you you can’t go wrong with anything, they ain’t lying. We got such a variety of food - from French to southern, Chinese stir fry to Cuban. It just all works so well. Bottom line: A must visit if you are in DC. The best wait staff and service. But remember to book ahead!

Claire Mizutani: Went out to dinner with my family and a friend from school. Great food! I really enjoyed the mezze and the Mac n cheese. Speedy service and great labeling on the menu for those with dietary restrictions. I wish that the outdoor seating area had heaters but now that the weather is getting warmer that may be less of an issue

Christopher Guarin: Was in town to check out the Cherry Blossom Festival. We made a point to stop in for some brunch before walking all over town. We were definitely not disappointed. Everything we tried was delicious! From the drinks, to the Everything Lox, and Chicken and Waffles....every bite was amazing. We will be back for more on our next trip!

Eric Lee: Got the cheeseburger and fried chicken. Both were phenomenal. Simple dishes but everything was cooked and seasoned so well. Price for these dishes were affordable. Great vibe as well, pretty large space. Will be back to try more!

Queen Melissa: Wonderful for family outing , a date and friends brunch. Everything was outstanding. The cleanliness was good. The customer service and server was really nice. My kids loved everything and they are usually picky eaters. This was my first time eating shrimps and grits all I can say it was amazing. Overall,we were a satisfied family and will be back again.

Ben Multak: Unconventional diner dishes but delicious flavors. Everything I’ve tried here has hit and the restaurant itself is a well oiled machine. Highly recommend if you find yourself in the area. Really enjoyed the Crab Fritters and Fried Chicken

Sirius Fidelity: This was one of my favorite food places on my trip. The place was a pretty good size, clean, and bright. There also appeared to be outside dining as well. I ordered the kid size portion of the Blueberry Lavender Pancakes as pictured, and the Shrimp and Grits. Nothing short of amazing. Prices were reasonable and the portion sizes good. I highly recommend this place.

Christal Young: I love a place that has vegan as well as non-vegan options. This place was so good, I came back two days in a row. Their kale nachos were just superb and their cauliflower salad with falafel was also delicious and filling. The colors and ambiance are also nicely done. There are several dining spaces, including indoor and outside seating, each with its own vibe.

ReCreate Artworks: I found this gem about a 20 minute walk north of the mall. I cannot recommend it enough. There was plenty of seats, the staff was quick and efficient, and the restaurant itself was stunning. It makes you feel luxurious without having the price tag that usually comes with it. It’s very affordable but the quality of food is beyond the price. I got a double shot of espresso and the Brussel Sprouts with Fried Egg. 10/10.

Chunhee Hong: We had buttermilk pancake, corned beef hash, cappuccino and rise & shine. All delicious! The customer service and server were really nice. Overall,we were satisfied and will be back again to try other menu!

Logan Tavern: what do users think?

Nomad USA: Super chill neighborhood tavern. The host there is generally pretentious and cold. I’ve had this issue getting seated at the LT in the past. Their hosts is is far from friendly as is imaginable. Even with the place completely empty, getting a booth probably requires a some type of cash payoff. The servers are super chill and helpful. Menu is great. Wide variety of appetizers and entrees. I had the BBQ Korean wings and the LT burger with truffle fries. The LT burger was just a buck more, truffle fries 2 bucks more, all super tasty and perfect medium rare. They have little alcove by the bar, great for people watching, and the requisite long bar for a casual lunch or dinner. Bathroom. 6/10 for cleanliness.

Matthew Cook: Very good food. Plenty of menu variety so everyone should be able to find something. Including some decent vegetarian dishes. Good cocktail and beer selection. Extremely friendly staff and very efficient.

Jay Vizcarra: LGBTQ+ friendly with great eats! I had one of the famous cheeseburgers on the menu which was super tasty. Usually hopping with great people eating there. Centrally located with a pleasant neighborhood walk surrounded by other places to eat in the area.

Darnice Ward: Logan Tavern was a great choice for an after graduation celebration. None of us had ever been to Logan Tavern as we are from out of state. In our party of 14 only 2 of our party members were from the area, and they had never been either. The did not have a table on Open Table to seat all of us so I reserved several tables and hoped they could seat us near one another. I called and talked to someone who said they would and they OVER delivered and seated us together!!! Our food was delicious and each person was happy with their selection. Although the menu is not extensive it has something for everyone. We had everything from wings, burgers, dip, salad and seafood pasta. Drinks were tasty and the alcohol in them was of average amount. Our waiter. He got every order correct and was consistent with checking on us. He brought found out in a timely fashion and waited for me because I was sitting between both tables. He seemed to have another big party as well. However, the only thing is that he seemed slightly annoyed NOT rude just bothered. We would definitely return again if back in the area. Right now it is tough to service the public so I understand our waiter may have been overwhelmed, please be kind to our service workers.

John G: Logan Tavern, an old favorite over the years, haven’t frequented there as much as I used to. However, I’ve stopped in recently for the greatest drinks made by bartender John. Logan has a great fried chicken classic, with wonderful homemade mashed potatoes and generally Swiss chard… I prefer the asparagus, though, so make sure you ask if you want something different. Chipotle chicken sandwich is wonderful as well, and more recently, I have fallen in love with the pulled pork barbecue sandwich, minus the bun… and a couple extra pickle slices! Bartender John is fantastic at getting your order right, your food tasty, even while I subtract a few calories with a few changes! Thanks John for keeping Logan, local, lovely, and (de)licious!

Patty Cannon: Excellent food & service! The chef came out to meet us and to be certain we were happy! Such a wonderful adventure for us! A large group of 10 and there were several couples enjoying dinner around us...as well as bar seating. Excellent choice for dinner!

Michele R McConnell: We had a great experience. I have a food sensitivity / allergies and they were very accommodating. Aubry was a fabulous server and kept up with our drinks and food. The chef came out and discussed food options for myself and delivered!

Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab: what do users think?

Alexander Staufenberg: My parent took me here for their anniversary dinner. I was sort of nervous about the vegetarian options — but I was very pleased with stuffed mushrooms, the potatoes lyonnaise and the steamed asparagus. The portions are very generous. After hearing we were celebrating an anniversary the house gave us a complimentary brownie with ice cream and whipped cream. It was divine.

Konstantin: Great restaurant. Atmosphere is nice, staff is friendly and food is really good. Oysters were fresh and fried chicken was simply delicious. This place is very popular so reservation is recommended there.

Swastika Nohara: The best stone crab there is! My favorite was crab stuffed shrimp because it was creamy and delicious! Perfectly seasoned and crunchy at the same time. Creamed spinach and broccolini was also nice. We spent 156 USD for those meals as seen on my photos.

Maryam Sherbaf: We went to Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone crab for our anniversary. The service is excellent, atmosphere is nice , the restaurant is pretty packed. The food is good but it’s a bit overrated and overpriced.

Allison Williams: Wow this place is gorgeous, really nice ambiance, I want to start there. The food is delicious and fresh as well. It is pricey so if your going and you have a party of more than 2, expected to spend like 100$ a person. The drinks were good but not strong enough for me. It was my birthday and my first time there and I enjoyed every moment.

Melissa Flaminio: Our waiter Jeffrey was fantastic. We were looking for a good seafood spot close to our hotel that we could celebrate my recent graduation and it totally hit the spot. Got the seafood pasta and the crab was buttery with citrus, and the little slices of asparagus was top notch. Loved it and definitely worth the trip

BlackSalt: what do users think?

Anna S: Always delectable! I have been to BlackSalt on many occasions, and the service is always fantastic. This visit was no different from my previous visits. It is the experience you expect with fine dining. From the oysters, to my entree of red snapper with truffle sauce, the food could not have been better! (And I didn’t think I would like the truffle sauce at all! I was so glad I was wrong.) I will, of course, be back again.

Christina: Wonderful seafood place! Fresh, tasty and perfectly cooked. We’re just visiting from overseas but would definitely come back if we lived in the area.

Joyce Y: First day in DC , we were hungry and excited to try this place. The oyster selection is good and I would come for oysters alone! The dishes are decent too but my seabass tasted very different from any other seabass I’ve had. The texture was so firm that I felt it was a disappointment. We didn’t like the menu selection for the entree but they pretty much did whatever fish my kids asked for, very flexible with us.

cesarnews4: Customer service at its best. This place has it all. Amazing food, great atmosphere, attention to detail, clean and cozy. My wife loves this place. I made a reservation for her birthday. The restaurant printed out a special menu with the date and a line saying “happy birthday” for our table .. Customized menus for us. How special is that??? After COVID many restaurants lost customer service , attention to detail. It seems like most restaurants are running short staff and it shows on the service level. NOT BLACKSALT This place has it together. Another example. When they brought our food, the ladies on the table get their plate 1st , then everyone else after. We noticed those details. That’s why they deserve 5 starts . Simply put, quality with taste. I highly recommend it . Plus the food is amazing

A. Manka: Well executed food with great flavor! Also received teamwork approach who met our needs and made our experience smooth and relaxing. We have been coming for years.

Meme Smith: It was nice last min plan, first time having Caviar. Would had been nice to know the key notes of the Caviar before I had ordered....the drink was not great I had ordered Cocgnac cocktail that was ruined with a lemon. But over all it was nice I would try it again

David Hosey: Friendly atmosphere. Food was decent but the petit tower wasn’t as fresh as we would have hoped. Overall good experience

Floyd Le Vere II: Best tuna I ever had in my 42 years. Who knew peanut sauce went with mangos and noodles?? Dear God, praise this place, and me, so I can come BACK!

Ambar Capitol Hill: what do users think?

Maya Bryant: I’ve been to this location for brunch twice so far. It’s a great place to go if you want to try multiple things. I went last time for my birthday brunch, which was on the rooftop floor. It was beautifully decorated and spacious for my party of 9. The food is always really good especially if you want to try new things. The crispy cheese slider really impressed me. Other great menu items include the mini burgers, beef prosciutto Benedict, and pecan and maple waffles. I would honestly skip the mac and cheese and bacon and grits, but it’s still worth a try being that you pay one price for everything. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I definitely wouldn’t mind coming back for dinner one day.

Scott Nguyen: Came in with high expectations based on recommendations from friends and certainly was not disappointed! The food was so delicious and the service was top notch. We ordered a lot of small dishes with plenty of options for meat and vegetarian eaters. Our servers constantly had food orders taken and delivered, and we walked away very stuffed. Highly recommended.

arun varughese: One of the best restaurants in DC. The price is high but you get unlimited food of premium quality. 45$ for dinner and 35$ for lunch. The food quality is of the level of a good high end restaurant with normal ingredients. All items are small plates but it’s not an issue as you can order them again. My favorites are rainbow trout, lamb lasagne and slow cooked beef. Almost all their items are good. I did not like salmon as it tasted very bland.

Leighton Smith: Our experience at Ambar was phenomenal. One of my top 5 favorite dining experiences across the world. For only $45 (plus drinks if desired), you get 2 hours at a table to sample anything on the Balkan / Eastern European menu. Everything tasted fantastic. The service we received from Tamara and others was 5-star. I cannot believe how flavorful everything was. What an awesome cultural experience. Thank you Ambar!!

Doris Becerra: I enjoy this place... I love it. All the food was great!! I would recommend! The lunch was amazing and very quite place. I went with my baby, my mother and husband and all was perfect! The waitress was phenomenal and very nice!! She explained how its works and she brings to us every plate that we want it repeat! We love it the place. Some photos of the lunch.. but I must take more photos!!

Stefan Tobler: Wow, this was my first bottomless brunch experience in DC and I’m glad it was. Ambar is a hell of a deal with some delicious food and exciting atmosphere. The photos below are from breakfast but their dinner is equally as fun! HIGHLY recommend, one of the only places I find myself at time and time again bringing all my new guests!

Gina Abrams: Me and the crew had a great time! We went for brunch. We were seating as soon as we arrived! Melissa was an excellent host! She kept the food coming. Everything was good (except for the bacon was too salty, I typically eat turkey bacon). Make your reservations today!

Brittani Spaulding: My absolute favorite brunch spot ever. All you can eat food and drink for under $50 pp. Can’t beat it. Everything on the menu is tasty and the drinks are good. Make a reservation ahead of time. Make sure you come hungry and thirsty, the service is always great and plates and drinks are refilled quickly.

Viraj Patel: Great $35 unlimited plates brunch on the weekend. Be sure to get here at least an hour before closing so you have time to order all the plates. Best items: cheese pie, salmon Benedict, veal soup, kale Caesar, Balkan salad, grilled steak, fried chicken slider, pecan and maple waffle.

The Capital Burger: what do users think?

Laetitia Monnier: Really good burger ! I’m not usually a fan of burger but these gourmet burgers are just to die for !! The patty is so juicy and so big ! And the truffle Parmesan fries are just incredible (and yes you can actually taste the truffle) ! Their milkshakes are delicious too and can’t wait to go back and try their boozy shakes. Our waiter was amazing too. He was super nice and super helpful. He helped us choose the best options for our burgers and he made our time quiet enjoyable !

Jenni James: This is an awesome place just located up the street from Capital Arena and Chinatown. The burgers are amazing. A great place for both non-alcoholic and other drinks. I had the homemade Grapfruit Soda. I loved the atmosphere. I would say a great place for older kids as it draws a more older crowd.

Frankie Painter: I was craving a delicious burger but didn’t want to walk far since it was freezing. This place was phenomenal! First of all, they bring you their special pickles to munch on while you wait (how awesome and unique is that) and then —- the most amazingly juicy, perfectly cooked burger arrives! It was so delicious that I forgot to take a photo but mine had bacon and Gorgonzola cheese, lettuce and tomato. My husband loved his as well. Our waitress was super attentive and friendly. We did have to show ID and proof of vaccination to dine in. SO WORTH IT!!!

Syerra Carigo: I visited with my nephew last week after the car show. This restaurant is literally right across the street from the DC convention center. It was pretty packed when we arrived but we were still seated right away. There’s not much social distancing going on inside as the tables are right near each other, but they do check your vaccination card for those (12?) and over. All the staff were hospitable! This place definitely has good vibes! My burger and drink were amazing, I have no complaints! My 6 year old nephew did lol. He ordered a kids burger and it’s literally a slider. Not 2, not 3, 1 burger slider and some fruit or fries. I ended up taking him somewhere else afterwards as he was still hungry. Other than that, I have no complaints. The food is great, the facility is clean, and the staff were great! I’d definitely return!

Rebeca Martinez: Fantastic burgers! We ordered three different burgers all were so different, but great. Although it was a bit pricey so worth it. Service was super. When we visit the city again definitely going to revisit Capital Burgers.

Le Diplomate: what do users think?

Thang Phu: Highly recommended! We stopped by for a late afternoon food one day and was amazed at how fantastic the food is. It was all so good, especially their desserts. I have travelled to multiple regions in France and I can attest the food here tastes the closest to food in France. They even have a wine carafe on the menu, just like France. I wished I lived near here so I could go treat myself now and then.

mike wittenburg: Five Stars for the food and the atmosphere. Visited on a busy Saturday evening and got a table without a reservation, amazing. So much seating available. Indoor and outdoor seating. Went with a couple of friends and the drinks and food were fabulous. Tuna dish is a small serving. Trout was great and the muscles were awesome. Apple dessert and vanilla creme brulee delicious. Definitely a popular spot. And the bread... So much bread... Good variety of bread to choose from. Enjoy!

Daae Katsicoyannis: The meal was incredible. I recommend going with friends and sharing everything. The service was also impeccable. You can tell that all ingredients at this restaurant are fresh and of excellent quality. It’s rare to find such an approachable restaurant of this league. I would recommend to anyone.

brian perkins: Loved this place for a few reasons. Let’s start with the bread. Why can’t all restaurants serve great, fresh, delicious bread? Because it’s not easy. I pictured the empty escargot plate because after dipping the bread in the garlic sauce it was game over. Add onion soup, superb steak frites, profiteroles to die for and you have a neighborhood gem. Not to mention the wait staff gives treats to dogs being walked by the restaurants. How great is that?!

Rob: The food and ambiance are always great. However, on multiple occasions, I’ve felt that the service is not what you’d expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Last time I felt a bit rushed and the service, while attentive, was curt. When our entrees arrived, a waiter couldn’t fully reach to place my friend’s plate in front of him. Rather then walk around the table (there was space), the waiter placed it on the table and gave the plate a quick flick of the wrist to push it over. It’s a small example but I think captures a similar sentiment seen in other reviews about the service.

Karissa Warren: Had an awesome food experience on New Years! Was a little disappointed they didn’t have their usual pastry assortment but every single item we got was delicious!! We really came for the pastries and croissants but were blown away by the food! If you want an authentic French croissant, they’ve got you covered! We will definitely be back!

Dee Ketterman: We’ve eaten here twice and love the food and decor. The feel of the restaurant more resembles an upscale bar with delicious food, as most people are standing and drinking rather than eating. I’d like to try sitting at the bar because I think it’d be a better experience to fit the atmosphere over a low table with people standing all around. The mushroom tart is fantastic and the French onion soup is the best I’ve ever had! The service was dressed appropriately but less attentive than expected, most likely because of how busy it seems to get. Regardless, I really like the food and hope to visit again soon.

Bibiana Oe: Very cute upscale dining experience! The waiter had many recommendations that were appealing. The bread with the butter is amazing! Ordered assorted oysters, mushroom tart, beef bourguignon, mussels and frites, and the profiteroles. Loved everything and it was good portions! Recommend for a lovely cozy dining in experience since the bar and inside of the restaurant is super unique!

Ted's Bulletin: what do users think?

Michelle Wiciak: The food was excellent, although the corned beef hash was extremely salty. I loved the smoked salmon rangoons, and thought it was the highlight of the meal. The biscuits and gravy were also stellar too, and that dish was HUGE. I enjoyed the banana cream pie, but thought the crust was too thick. The only downside was that the place was a bit too loud music-wise and our server seemed disinterested in serving us

Alex teufel: This was the most pleasant restaurant experience I’ve ever had. I am from out of town.First off, they asked if there was any food allergies before taking orders and bringing food, and as a person with a food allergy this was super cool, and something more restaurants should do! Tiffany was a phenomenal waitress, best server I’ve ever had. Polite, and thoughtful staff, short wait, GREAT food. 10/10 recommend!!

Deana Bushell: The Strawberry lemonade was delish...the fried pickles were the perfect starter for our meal. Also had the Chicken Parmesan with a side of Brussel Sprouts with blue cheese and bacon. More than I could eat and very tasty. Great local place with a wonderful atmosphere.

Sarah: Delicious entree meals and really the main sell. 5 star for food, 3 star waitress. Will definitely be back for the entree meals because the cooks know what they are doing! I was very excited for the pop tarts but filling is only within the very center of them and it would have been ten times better taste-wise if it was served warm. Service was extremely slow and our waitress did not refill our water glasses and we had to wait an extremely long time to get our bill to leave. Food (excluding dessert) and environment great, but service may need some improvement especially since it was not very busy and we still waited a long time for waitress to come back to the table to ask about dessert and then again to get the bill (1.5 hours for two people to eat).

Charlotte Meindersma (Charlotte's Law): We had a Ted’s tart, which was really good. The dough is soft shortbread cookie like. Fresh iced tea was good. And we tried the loaded tots. Outside seating is really nice. Not all servers are as friendly as we’d hoped for, the girl who helped us most was very helpful and friendly.

Amreen Shafiuddin: seemed like a small cafe from outside but they have a indoor seating place for brunch !!! looked like a upscale place.. people were posh there !!! the room had ample sunlight and it was all lit.. the tables were big enough for 6 people to sit comfortably. Our server was sweet and friendly.. people even clicked our photos without us asking for help !!! the food was amazing.. i would give it 15/10… we ordered 5 different dishes.. none disappointed… The big mark breakfast was super filling.. avocado toast was presented well and quite filling as to was on the lighter fair.. the stand out dishes were the Country fried chicken and Grilled salmon !!! omg amazing flavours !!! soooo yummm !! definitely coming back here for eating this again !!!

Cory Schwab: Delicious breakfast! And the homemade pop tart was a nice surprise. Coffee could have been a little stronger but still tasted good!

The Capital Grille: what do users think?

Valerie Laub: Absolutely wonderful! The new location is great and the inside is very nice with fun artwork. We celebrated Mother’s Day and had an excellent meal and our server, Miguel was so friendly and accommodating! He made the experience great. The food was delicious and the favorites were the filet & lobster tail, lobster mac and cheese and Brussel sprouts! For dessert, the cheesecake was amazing! We will be back for the next celebration!

Yauchin Lam: I proposed to my girlfriend here and it was the best service here. The steaks were good, the waiters was a good person, the wine was good, and the soup too. After I propose, we got really good tasting desert. Be prepared to spend money, but it is worth the price. I hope to go there again for our future wedding anniversary.

Beebea H: My daughter made a lunch reservation for 4 at the Capital Grille for lunch. We arrived slightly before our time and were seated immediately. Our server, Joharra (I hope I got that right) came over and told us the menu specials and took our drink order. She was friendly and professional. Throughout our meal she came at all the right times. She definitely helped make our time there more pleasant! Soon afterward we gave our drink order, and our bread selection w/butter was brought to the table. The bread was nice and warm, the butter was fresh with salt lightly sprinkled on top. It was very good. Our drinks came soon afterwards, and Joharra took our orders. I ordered the Seared Salmon with Avocado, Mango and Tomato Salad with Champagne Vinaigrette. My fiancé ordered the Parmesan Crusted Salmon with Roasted Garlic, white wine and lemon butter and he also ordered Potatoes Au Gratin as a side. My daughter ordered a special that had steak and a salad, and her boyfriend ordered the Signature Cheeseburger. We ordered calamari for the table as an app. We also ordered 2 crème brûlée , and an espresso flourless cake for dessert. Everything came very promptly. First the calamari. The flavor of the calamari was very good. Whatever it’s breaded with had a nice flavor that complimented the calamari. However, some of the larger clusters of tentacles were somewhat underdone. The breading wasn’t crisp in those clusters, and it had a bit of a wet, unappealing feel in those spots. All of the rings were done perfectly though and they were lightly crisp. My salmon was tasty, but a little overcooked for my taste. I like my salmon cooked to medium with a moist middle so it melts in your mouth. The accompanying salad was really good and perfectly dressed. I don’t like too much dressing and usually ask for it on the side. But this was perfect. My fiancé enjoyed his salmon and his au gratin potatoes, very much. My daughter’s boyfriend enjoyed his burger and said it was done the way he likes it. My daughter had asked for her steak medium rare (the server confirmed deep pink inside with medium pink throughout and my daughter agreed), but I think her steak came more medium or medium well. She seemed to enjoy it regardless and enjoyed the salad too. The desserts were very good. The espresso cake seemed a little too dense at first, but I think it was just a bit cold… we were seated outside (it was very hot that day) and after about 10 minutes the cake was much smoother. A much nicer texture. The espresso flavor was prominent and amazing. The crème brûlées had a rich vanilla flavor and a very satisfying crack when you broke the top, but didn’t have the soft-set, ‘barely holding its shape’ texture it should have. This was almost a custard-like flan, but still very good. Overall we were happy with our meals at the Capital Grille, and the service was perfection, as was the company and atmosphere. We had a wonderful time. I would go back any time we’re in DC. (Just discovered I put this review under the wrong Capital Grille so this is late getting up)

Gentle John: We just had one of the best lunches in a long time. The lobster salad was the best. Outstanding service. Great atmosphere for a business meeting or happy hour. Try it!

Natalia Mednikov: The Capital Grille in Washington is my favorite steakhouse that belongs to this chain. I love everything; location, atmosphere, design, service, food, wine list. You have won my heart and if anyone asks for recommendations I will always be the first to recommend you!

Hannah Grimsley: My boyfriend and I came here last night for his birthday and they truly went above and beyond to make a memorable experience for us. The service was amazing and the food was immaculate. I got the lamb chops and he got the 14oz steak. We will definitely be coming back soon !

Charlie Carroll: This restaurant was absolutely amazing! We went here after getting a tour of the capitol building. I got the Lobster Salad which tasted wonderful. After that I got the cheesecake which was the best I’ve ever had before. I suggest you go here if you want a nicely decorated restaurant with wonderful food.

Mike: My wife and I went here for the first time this past Saturday as our last dinner out before leaving D.C. Francisco made some excellent recommendations and really made our dinner one that we will fondly remember.

Dani Brooks: Came to The Capital Grille for a late lunch after attending the Japanese Street Festival. Man on man was this an experience! The drinks and food were delicious and the service was outstanding. Our waiter, Nathan, was fantastic! The steak was cooked perfectly and the soup I ordered, lobster bisque, was amazing. I would highly recommend eating here if you’re ever in Washington D.C.

Tabard Inn Restaurant: what do users think?

Katherine Cummings: Brunch with my wife here was delicious! The espresso, the coffee, and the eggs Benedict were all delicious. The place has a very warm European homey vibe and I would definitely recommend it!!

Nicholas Tappa: This is a really interesting restaurant. The wood paneling and whimsical decor seem like you’ve stepped through the looking glass into a set from The Batman movies. Our dinner was superb including a stupendous 3- dip and chips selection, haddock served over a luscious broccoli risotto, and gorgeous duck breast with charred green onions. Good dinner service and a highly courteous staff. Would highly recommend!!

Toshia Brown: Food was so delicious 😋; atmosphere was on point #GoodVibes

James Nelson: Excellent! Steak was cooked exactly as I ordered it. Chef came to my table to even ask about my experience. Best NY strip I have ever had(And I not a fan of NY strip). Eggs with cream cheese and chives was excellent, cooked to perfection as well as the potatoes. If you are there for breakfast or brunch the donuts are a must! Would definitely come back here, wish I had more time to try some of the other dishes.

Arash Tavakoli: Welcoming staff and warm atmosphere. If you go there definitely try their donuts!

A.N Vasquez: A D.C. gem. Loved every detail and space in this quiet and unassuming inn.We reserved a time for a late weekday breakfast while staying in the neighborhood. The service was kind and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious.

The Monocle Restaurant: what do users think?

Trevor John: This Rustic gem is a great diamond in the rough. Gives off speak easy vibes reminiscent of Old financial district NYC.

Justin McKenzie: Absolutely delicious food! Historical venue! Friendly service! A must do on a visit to DC!

Xenon Booth: Lovely ambiance and great cocktails. The food was great, but not exceptional. I had the lobster linguine (which was fine) and my husband had a steak (which was good). We really enjoyed the oysters. We felt that this restaurant, overall, was great value for money.

Nicole Jamila: My boyfriend and I are very picky as he is a chef and I just love food in general. We’re visiting DC and the bar tender at our hotel suggested the Monocle. And boy are we glad we listened!!! We had 4 entrees; Crab cakes, made with JUMBO lump crab with a delicious sauce; Salmon, cooked perfectly and served with perfectly cooked veggies and a beautiful sauce; clams with linguini. We ordered two sides of onion rings (which they are known for). I’ve never had onion rings like that and I’m glad we ordered two because one wouldn’t have been enough. EVERYTHING was superb!!! Our server Joel was attentive and polite. He took such good care of us. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! When we’re back in DC, this is where we’ll be!

Carl Pruschowsky: I wish I took photos! Our experience was 11/10. Our server was fantastic and the food was wonderful. I got the Special which was a NY Strip cooked perfectly. The other people in my party got the crab cake, Ribeye and a Pasta dish and they were all ranting on how good everything was. Definitely order the soup!

LISA HANEY: I didn’t eat at the restaurant. We had a gathering upstairs. The staff was awesome. The bartender was extremely nice and funny. I’ll be back.

JOSE EMILIANO SOTO VILLANUEVA: . Unique menu, fresh food and the ambiance is incredible. Beautifully renovated and designed. Every time I come to DC I will be sure to pay this amazing restaurant a visit!!

District Daily Eats: I’ve worked on Capitol Hill for ten years and heard so much about The Monocle, but I’ve never had the chance to experience this steakhouse until this week. The Monocle is family owned and operated. You can find it steps away from the Senate Buildings. You never know who you might be sitting next to here whether its an ambassador or your very own elected official from the House of Representatives or The Senate. The menu is fairly standard as far as steakhouses go. I got the Ginger Manhattan to drink to start, followed by The tuna tartare. Next, I got the jumbo crab cake and a bowl of the jambalaya. For dessert I got the chocolate triomph cake. Everything was incredibly good! I can’t stress that enough!! I had the chance to talk with the owner and some of the staff. Everyone could not of been anymore friendly and hospitable. My orders were brought out to me quickly and correctly. As for the restaurant itself. It’s kept impeccably clean. Definitely check out The Monocle!

Nala Sloane: Coming to the taste of the food, I felt it was worth and the value for money according to me was amazing. Overall I would say the restaurant was great. Wonderful experience!

Keren Cafe & Restaurant: what do users think?

Yongjian Si: A cute family style Eritrean restaurant near Dupont Circle in Washington DC. Friendly staff and tasty dishes! The dishes and stews were flavorful and fresh. They also offer American style breakfast, but I encourage you to get out of your comfort zone and try a new dish here. Vegetarian friendly. If it’s your first time trying Eritrean cuisine, don’t hesitate to ask the staff for recommendations. Plenty of options for meat lovers, vegetarians, and vegans alike.

Melissa Unzueta: This is my second time eating Ethiopian food and it was a true delight. I was feeling under the weather and needed a wholesome nutritious meal and decided to get their Special Shiro. It was creamy, flavorful, scrumptious. I was also pleasantly surprised when I found out my order came with an extra of Enjera bread filled with their lentil sauce and spinach. Thank you for a wonderful culinary experience!

alex clark: After hearing raving reviews from our friends, we finally tried this place…..which quickly became our favorite Ethiopian place in the city. Get the Ethiopian beer, it’s tasty and cheap!! The meal was fabulous and Uber filling. We got there right at the right time because it became packed on a Friday evening!

Fiona Alison Kibblewhite: We had a fantastic experience here! Amazing food and such good prices. We ordered the Keren special (#4) with chicken and thought it was delicious! It was also big enough for two of us to share (granted we don’t have huge appetites). I cannot recall having such good food for dinner in a sit down restaurant for less then $10 each. The wait staff were super kind and helpful, especially helping us decide what to order. I would highly recommend!

Sam OB: I would say Keren is the best breakfast spot in DMV. I would always go there anytime any day. Very cozy and reasonable price. Check them out you won’t be embarrassed.

Ray Moreno: Keren is a Washington DC jewel! It isn’t glamorous, but it’s authentic, down to earth culinary delight. An Eritrean guy told me about it years ago and I’m a repeat customer. The Ful is a great way to start your day with some yogurt, diced tomatoes, jalapeños & an egg or two. The two French rolls help wipe away the last few bites. The pasta nicely combines Italian & East African flavors. The tibs are over the top tasty and plenty juicy. I often enjoy the vegetarian combo that includes cabbage, spinach, potatoes & carrots, fresh green salad, spinach, spicy lentils and yellow split peas. Two pieces of Enjera is a perfect proportion to enjoy your communal eating experience. They’ll offer more if you ask. I love to end my meal with an individually brewed coffee or even a spiced tea. You can also make it a latte or cappuccino. Let me add, it’s extremely inexpensive! $10-$15 for one which is difficult to find in DC.

Nils Hünerfürst: Keren is a really good place for a devent veggie platter. Not so pricey but super tasty. Super nice team.

James Wang: Amazing restaurant for Ethiopian/Eritrean cuisine with large portions and some of the best food in D.C.! Very friendly staff who came to check on us up all the time. The restaurant is a little small, so make sure to get there early, but the atmosphere is very cozy and I truly appreciated the experience.

Anna Sun: So, SO good!! I just wish my friend and I ordered one dish to share instead of struggling to finish two. Food came out quickly, and the service was friendly.

Josh Axelrod: Great prices for an authentic meal. For newbies to the wonders of Ethiopian cuisine, go for a veggie combo or the Keren special to sample as many things as possible on a heaping platter of Injera, spongy Ethiopian flatbread. A perfect place to grab beers with friends while you share a plate of Tibsi and other treats.

Old Europe: what do users think?

Vasyl Zhepikov: Hands down the best german food in US. 🇩🇪 It is not cheap imitation , but really good authentic food. Hand made sauercraft. 🤤 On pics: Sausage combo with authentic mustard. Baked brie with jam and fruits. And of course German beer. The interior is the most pleasing to say the least.

Landis Rojas: My first time here! I felt very comfortable. Also I forgot to take food pictures because the german food it was super tasty! The service is super good and attentive. Yo need a reservation in this restaurant and you really feel in s German restaurant! I really Recommend it!

Devin Nguyen: I enjoy Old Europe restaurant for its service, antique atmosphere, and certified-authentic German food! As someone who has visited Germany and Austria, I can confirm that the food is cooked according to traditional German flavors and preparation. The images I have included illustrate the restaurant’s quality and art of German culture and cuisine. My experience at this family-owned business makes me feel as if I entered a time capsule into history.

Mohan Sun: This is one of the best German restaurants in town - excellent food, great beers, and friendly owner and staff. Back before Covid, there was this old gentlemen in suspenders that would always play piano on weekends. That’s always one of my fondest memories. I had my birthday celebrations there a couple of times and they were always a blast. This restaurant veteran opened its doors in 1948 serving local customers, so please come and support them! Plus, you really can’t go wrong with a schnitzel and boot of beer!

Sam Chin: A long time local business with good authentic food and warm atmosphere. Amazing steins, cuckoo clock, and crests. They actually speak German and are good people. Support local!!

Darren H: I have been going to this place for about 18 years and love it. The desserts have recently gotten better. I always complained that the Sacher Torte was a tad dry, but this no longer seems to be the case. The appetizers, beer, and dinner are all so good that I have a hard time ordering sometimes.

Rinat Hadashi: We ate dinner: April treat, potato pancakes and schnitzel. Beverage and wine. Paid 92$.The food was tasty and very beautifully placed on the plate. The service was super nice and helpful.Recommended!

Founding Farmers DC: what do users think?

Tyler Davis: Quality food and drinks! Stopped by while out and about visiting DC with the family. Short walk from several metro stations. Reserved a table during lunchtime the morning we went and was seated minutes after we showed up. Staff was attentive and my drink was never empty. Reasonable prices for the quality food you get considering the location and love the bar menu. Was recommended this place by several people and it was quickly apparent why. Will definitely visit again next time we are in DC!

Konstantinos Rizakos: We were seated promptly at our reservation time. The hosts and servers were polite and effective, albeit the food and drinks took a while to come out. Everything was very very tasty. The meat in particular. Try the prime rib, and the pork chops - but you may want to ask that they cook less than you usually like because ours were slightly over cooked.

Kimberly Giang: Omg so yummy. Visited DC for the first time and found this restaurant for breakfast. It definitely did not disappoint! It was so yummy we came back the next morning. We reserved a table online and good thing we did because it gets crowded fast. Our table was ready when we arrived and all of the staff was very friendly. Food came out fast. The French toast was so unique and tasted amazing. I loved the Eggs Benedict and how crispy the hash browns were! Definitely would come back!

WooDo Jedi: Good service! Our server was outstanding. (Front hostess and host didn’t make us feel welcome though - we felt like cattle coming through the door). Our orders came our timely and had that flavor profile that spoke of home. We would definitely return here!

Frankie Painter: This is our 3rd time here and WOW, everything we’ve ever ordered has been amazing! We always start with the honey cornbread and this time I got Scallops Meunière with butternut squash risotto and my husband got catfish with grits and green beans. My scallops were cooked to perfection - they cut like butter. The atmosphere here is warm and cozy but lively, although there were way less people this time because of social distancing restrictions. Our waiter was super! We had to show an ID and proof of vaccination. Highly, highly recommend!!

Ying Liang: Friend took me here for dinner when I visited DC. We went on a late weekday evening. Definitely call for reservations ahead of time because it was incredibly crowded. I’m not sure how long we would’ve had to wait if we didn’t plan for that. Our waitress was very nice, food took a while, probably because it was so busy! So plan some time to catch up and relax. It was sort of dark and loud but the restaurant still had nice ambiance. I got the chicken and waffles… and oh my goodness, it was the best fried chicken and the best waffles I’ve ever had. So freaking good. The green beans were crunchy/fresh and the mac and cheese was decent. Not sure what sauce it came with but I was enjoying it! I would probably try to get here for early brunch next time instead. Definitely recommend you stop by if you get the chance.

Goose Prevot: Stumbled upon this restaurant while walking over towards the Lincoln Memorial. The atmosphere was awesome. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I liked that the craft cocktail spirits were distilled by the restaurant. We were able to purchase a bottle to take home as well. The food was very tasty. It is a definite try if you are around the area.

The Pig: what do users think?

Sam M: One of My favorite BBQ restaurants in DC. I visited this place several times and really had a great experience. This place could get pretty busy during the weekend dinner service, so I would definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Inside of the restaurant was relatively clean and had enough seating for big groups. Pretty much all the dishes I tried here were delicious, but my favorite was pork chops and smoked ribs. They also have an extensive drink and dessert menu. I really loved their strawberry shortcake. It literally melts in your mouth. Servers were very friendly and attentive during the whole dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant for some good BBQ!

Lord Edwin Carreon: I really like The Pig. I’ve been 3 times (once pre-COVID-19 Pandemic and twice in the Pandemic) and have consistently enjoyed my experience. At its core, The Pig is a barbecue joint. It does offer some upscale and fancier items, which I like. The hi-low effect is well done at The Pig. The dining room is dimly lit and cozy with its wood booths and industrial finishes. The addition of the patio offers a more casual outdoor experience. Some of my favorite items include their St. Louis Smoked Ribs and Brisket Ragu. The ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender and perfectly smoked and sauced. Honestly, the side dishes are nice accompaniments, but don’t necessarily augment the dish. The Brisket Ragu is a perfect hi-low dish offering tender chunks of smoked brisket in a delicate, unctuous tomato and red wine sauce that beautifully coats chewy tagliatelle pasta. My favorite item on the menu is the Heritage Shank. (“12-hour confit pork shank, Yunnan potato puree, leafy spinach, roasted garlic and ginger gastric [sic].”) It’s a special dish that offers a generous portion of tender and juicy pork whose taste is amplified by the side dishes. The ginger gastrique is exceptional and balances the fatty richness of the pork. I will say, like many restaurants after these past two years, The Pig’s menu has shrunk. I really miss some of their signature items, like their bone marrow appetizer. They were unique, exceptionally delicious dishes that should return. Moreover, the portion sizes have definitely gotten smaller. Lastly, service 2/3 of the times I’ve been have been stellar, with attentive and kind wait staff. The other time I’ve been, our server was nice enough, but forgot several things we asked for (an alteration to a dish, ordering another drink, and bringing us more napkins).

Beverlyn Salva: Okay, here me out. If you or your partner haven’t eaten anything since breakfast and HAS been walking around DC ALL day and you’re looking for some food to eat? I’d recommend the Pig! My boyfriend and I have made a list of food places to go before going on our trip and so we can just pick and go.They have some great appetizers and entrees, drinks are delish, dessert is also delish… but what really amazed me is our server Kima. She was super knowledgeable, blissful, great personality and her customer service is on point. That’s what I usually look for when eating out. We love to eat but we also like to know what the front of house can do to make our dining experience better. :) Thank you Kima and the Pig (DC).

Joel Pagett: I enjoyed a fantastic meal in The Pig, and I would have no hesitation recommending it to others. The Bao Buns to start were incredible, and the Pork Shoulder steak was sensational as well. Certainly worth a visit if you’re in Washington and looking for a delicious dinner.

Ben Multak: Good flavors but not my favorite BBQ I’ve ever had. Federalist Pig has better BBQ but the ambiance of this place is much bette. Drinks were also very good and they are able to accommodate large groups.

Columbia City Bouquet: We come here every time we are in town. The cocktails are delicious. The food is super tasty. And we always have a blast with our waiters/bartenders- this time Michael was especially fun. Don’t go in thinking it’s going to be the best barbecue you’ve ever had straight from Austin, but it will surely be delicious. Eat the Brussels sprouts.

We got the Italian and the Roast Pork with gremolada...the first was good but that pork sammich was next level! Every bite left me wanting more! The folks at Bub and Pops are deserving of high praise...great food and they were super fast too!

Jackie Ndebeka: I needed a cheesesteak hoagie like home (Philly), they made me a cheesesteak like home. The family who run Bub and Pops are super friendly, run an amazing hoagie joint, and make some damn delicious food. Worth every penny.

Tan Sav: Ordered takeout from here. I got the cheesesteak with mushrooms. It was definitely delicious. A little pricey, but delicious.

All Good Home Inc David Pugh: One of the better steak subs in the dmv. Provalone was the star of the show for my Cheesesteak this morning, the roll did the splits on me on the 2nd half but was lite and had a great skin texture, was very good, steak needed a little seasoning but was cut perfect overall great experience super friendly staff definitely will be coming back again.

Commissary: what do users think?

Jo Kim: My Manager set up a Holiday team gathering for a mixology class here. We started out w a rose and made 3 drinks w tastings in between. It was very informational and the timing between cocktails were spot on. The instructor was fantastic and very generous on the liquor. I personally wasn’t a fan on the drink with Chartreuse but the history she told us, behind the liquor was fun/interesting to learn. The food in between were delicious that we stayed for full plates of food after. Service was spot on and food were great.

abdiel blas: Very relaxing atmosphere with open minded people. Great spot for breakfast! Staff were a little busy because it was a packed house but did their best to serve us in a timely manner. Would recommend!

Scotty Leach: One of my favorite affordable breakfast spots near Logan Circle. Reliable, fast, and the food is wonderful. I generally order the Huevos rancheros and a mocha to go with it, which fills me up and brings me joy. The outdoor seating is really nice too - I went on a first date here and being outdoors on a warm weekday morning made it feel more intimate somehow. Anyway - the place is usually packed and yet the food still comes quick. Those cooks are amazing. Bottom line: Highly recommended.

Jorden Van Etten: Went here for brunch on my birthday. Had the bottomless mimosas and pancakes. Such a great experience. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed this place so much. The food was so great and i got a free banana split sundae for my bday

Kevin Livingston: Pork belly appetizer was good. Fish and chips were excellent! I will ask that our server please forgive me, because I do not remember his name, but he was very nice and seemed very pleased to take our order. Thank so much, sir. Loved the decor and the atmosphere. Most important; clean restroom 🚻.

Linden Yee: This place is awesome! The happy hour is so reasonably priced with $5 rail spirits and cheap appetizers. I really liked the chicken lettuce wraps. Breakfast has also been solid too. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed and the staff is always really friendly.

Bryan Mroz: Went on a Friday evening. It was full but we had reservations and we were seated quickly. Service was a bit slow but our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. Food was perfect. We had Shrimp and Grits and Catfish. Great ambiance. There was love music mostly soul and jazz.

Vin D Sr.: Amazing menu and a fine meal. Staff was great and we enjoyed the atmosphere! Chicken and waffles outstanding as was the smoked steak! Sides were awesome too! So good we had to take a few orders to go! Highly recommend. Make a rez to secure a table at this hot spot.

Chris Taylor: Amazing space with comfy booths. They had live music which was a nice touch. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was good, I enjoyed some food came as starters. Loved the milk punch cocktail and the honey old fashioned. A good spot.
