Valerie DeThomas: Wanted to withdraw some cash from my account. Was told by a teller that a supervisor put a limit on how much a customer could withdraw, so they could not help me. (The limit was a low $ amount.) You’re reading it right - I could not withdraw my own money! Like a ‘Karen’ :-) I had to ask if a supervisor would make and exception because I needed funds that morning. Was told that supervisor was not available. The teller apologized although she personally didn’t do anything wrong. This whole situation was extremely inconvenient for my plans, and awkward for everyone involved. Not only did I waste my time, but I also left with a feeling that this bank does not have my trust anymore.

Alejandro Suarez: Always very kind and attentive. Staff have gone out of their way to resolve issues that were corporate's fault not their own (especially with their branded credit cards). Even when they couldn't solve my issue, they did everything they could to make up for it.

Bobby J: I had a very uncommon issue so when i couldn't resolve it on the internet, I walked over to this branch. There were three people working and they all three became involved with the issue. One of them, Matthew, looked up the account and then started talking to PNC support. It took him several phone calls but not because of him. I walked out of the branch with my problem resolved. It doesn't get any better than that!! THANK YOU.

patrice rouse: The ATM room at PNC BANK PARK ROAD is DISGUSTING!!! Nobody ever cleans it. How are customers supposed to use the ATM with trash and old nasty, stinking, rotting food and clothes in front of the ATM?!?!! Again it ALWAYS looks like this. I am highly dissatisfied with the way this branch has allowed the ATM to be presented.

Arman Moyer: This location seems PERMANENTLY CLOSED. Although when they were open they were dysfunctional; couldn't expect more from a bank in the middle of a GHETTO afterall. They received MILLION$ of stimulus or covid-19 incentive$ but they did not help the customers who made them. Pity!

Meg Smith: This PNC branch tends to be frustrating. Lines are long and patrons are generally difficult (which is no fault of the bank's), which translates to slow service. I avoid it as a rule, although sometimes it can't be helped.

Lauren Biehl: If I could give them negative stars I would. They charge 2% to cash a check. So it cost me $50.00 to cash a check for $2500.00 that was two hours of work I lost because of this. I have never been charged this amount of money to cash a check from any client every, TD Bank, Capitol One, Wells Fargo, most ever charged is $10.00 for not having an account with the bank. I feel like I just got rapped. Disgusting that they charge this kind of money it's my hard earned money and they want to take it from me for cashing a check that was drawn on there bank. Oh but I can open an account and not be charged anything! Rip off!

AAA&TGlobalMaintenance: I vent to open an account and nothing on the door stated that the branch was closed at 1:53pm today on a Tuesday . They had the door look and I had to call for someone to unlock the front door. That was ridiculous and I feel like people just don’t want to do there job and they are losing clients this way

Ade Ola: Horrible customer service!!!! We were in the area to shop, and my ATM card got stuck in their machine- the machine completely shut down during the process of withdrawing cash. We went into the banking hall, and politely requested that they should help get my card from the machine. In the end, the manager informed us that she couldn’t get the card, and she was not willing to tell us why she couldn’t get a technician in ASAP to fix the problem. We were also harassed by the security officer for calling their customer service representative over the phone to check if the situation can be resolved from their end, without having to cancel my card or driving all the way to my bank to get a new card. On our way out the machine was back up and running! Please avoid using their ATM if you are in hurry and don’t want to be insulted.

Zak Elmanakhly: 4th street is a very commercial area, sidewalks were blocked by two different trucks on the walk up from NOMA. The majority of shops were of the "whole sale" variety. Their shop windows looked like the cover of an Oriental Trading magazine. On the whole I would not recommend walking here from the south up 4th street.

Donna Jones: Imagine sitting in line for 30 minutes for the ATM only to find out the ATM is not working! Literally stuck, because it’s a one way in, one way out drive-up and you’re surrounded by cars!

Little Angel: No respect. And when you ask do you have envelop etc. The cashier will mad at you and said no. We dont give out etc.

Ronda Richmond: I do not recommend this bank as a financial istitution. They seem to be very money hungry. Too much so. I had been banking with them for several years until two days ago when I closed out my account. Two years ago I purchased a new car. Up until the last catastrophe I had been making my living consistently. I applied for a loan with them and the answer back was not what I expected. I dont care what a persons credit score is: if they show financial responsibility then they should be given a loan. If things happen that are out of there control there is nothing they can do.

KarimFarhat MyWorld: A terrible customer service, atop the transaction rip off. I walked into this bank with my elderly landlord, who has an account here. I needed to get my security deposit. The ask was very simple: withdrawal of some money, so I can take that to another bank, where I have my account. The cashier was careless and unfriendly. My elderly landlord was very polite and was trying to be friendly. On the other hand, the cashier was barely cordial, frowning the whole time, speaking in low voice even though she clearly sees that I had to repeat everything to my landlord who has hearing difficulties, and she couldn’t even make a proper copy of some of the documents we asked for!! Atop all that, we asked to withdraw $2000. She said we either have to pay $10 fee for a cashier check, or she will give them to us in cash. When we asked for cash, she started counting $20 bills!! I asked for $100 bills, she said the bank does not have them! What!!! So our only feasible option was paying their ripoff $10 fees for a check. I would NEVER do business at this bank. Disgusting.

Meirong Liu: I've been a customer with PNC for more than ten years. The new manager was helpful. The assistant manager Nikki was terrible. I reported my information has been comprised to PNC bank in June, 2018. When I asked for some assist with how to provide proof as she requested, she was very short with me over the phone. The attitude was impatient and condescending.

H. Black: Always welcoming, pleasant, and helpful. I only have a checking account but service on the account and a few international transfers has been terrific.

James H: Save your time- bank online. This location won't even give you large bills in exchange for smaller bills unless you're a customer.

Harry: April and another associate showed patience and understanding when helping my boyfriend and I with solutions on how to consolidate student loan debt. She gave us creative options to consider, didn’t rush our decisions, and the patience continued even after the bank closed at 1 (Saturday) and we were still trying to finalize our plans. Each person today was nothing but helpful and we sincerely appreciate it.

The last few times customer rep William who is often at the front doesn't greet returning customers and appears to have a frown on his face. Hopefully they can work on consistency. This bank has told me through three separate people that I would have a check I deposited Saturday available to me That day and it went from that day to Monday for sure. Today is now Monday and I’m not seeing the money for me to take care of personal matters let alone gas to get to WORK!!. Now they tell me I have to wait tell Wednesday because it’s a new account. I am pissed no customer should ever have to experience this just because they are new the policy needs to be changed and the people should be trained all the same to give out correct information from the people answering phones to the people creating your account. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE for anyone to go through!. I will not be referring anyone I know to this bank.

John ulsh: Showed up at 8:55am to use ATM outside, was out of service just like last week. Went inside to see if I could use the working one indoors, doors were locked with 3 employees behind the counter just standing around doing nothing. Had to bang on the door and yell just for them to actually come up to the door and talk to me. Wouldn’t let me use the ATM as they are “closed until 9am”, which I understand, but I had to be at work at 9am sharp…. 0 compassion and hospitality… 0 urge for them to come up and try to fix my problem. As a PNC customer for over 15 years this is quite sad

The manager just stands around or locks herself in the office when line is long and so not provide any support to the tellers specially when they have new staff she should be present. Tellers do their best and I appreciate their job I just feel like they need someone who know what he or she is doing as a manager. But Great job teller line.

Laura London: This has to be the worst location I’ve ever been to! These people are incompetent, and could easily be replaced with cardboard cutouts. The Jamaican woman there gave me the death stare when I walked and the tellers are rude and not very friendly at all. The only person that greeted me was the woman that works security who also appeared to be under the weather, but still managed to be polite. I’ll continue to go to the Columbia Heights location. They are friendly, smart and very helpful.

Ian Yusupov: Most the time I'm a huge fan of PNC - they're a great bank. But aside from David Na (who's a credit to them) this location is staffed with some of the most rude and and incompetent female employees I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. One comes to mind especially- Emily or Emerly from her name tag (from the Carribean from her accent) is a thoroughly unpleasant individual. Now, I'm not sure if she gives everyone this treatment, but every time I have gone in, she shoots hate glares and makes other faces at me. LOL it's completely outrageous that she has a job dealing with the public and I almost never patron this location anymore in large part because of her. This place is the complete antithesis of the Dupont location where the staff are a friendly, helpful and competent joy to deal with (which is what I've grown to expect from any PNC). The other strike against the Chinatown location is that some genius decided to set the ATM so that withdrawals can only be made in $20 dollar increments. I bank with PNC! Why shouldn't I be able to withdraw amounts from my account in any increment I choose - like I can from every other PNC ATM in town and like I used to be able to do at this one as well.

Derek Tripp: This is nothing against this branch. Everyone there tried to be helpful. But PNC bank (long story short) didn’t mail me or call me, charged me $12 and closed my account without it ever working. I spent money to open an account that I could never use and was never notified there were any problems. Then told they could do nothing to help me. The worst banking experience I’ve ever had, and PNC ought to call their customers and treat me with a little more dignity.

A. Maisto: I'm sorry that others have experienced issues with this branch, but I regularly bank here, and I am quite satisfied with the service I receive on each visit. I am normally at this branch during their lunch rush, and it has always been efficient and easy to take care of a range of transactions there.

E B: Had a great experience at this PNC branch today. Maria was very helpful and friendly at getting a power of attorney applied to multiple accounts and credit cards so I can help manage an elderly relative’s finances. She also walked me through how to make a cash deposit through their ATM (it’s a fully automated branch for deposits and withdrawals). She took extra care to make sure everything was accurately documented and faxed-in so I wouldn’t have to make a return trip.

Jeanne Oxley: Since this last posting on August 19, 2016 it is now September 19, 2016 and this situation in dealing with the poor management team at this PNC location has resulted in lies, mismanagement and a lack of customer service follow up and attention from the PNC Management team - Jim and Nate. Since the previous managers, Kesler and Reginald failed to ensure that my husband received his settlement check from a settlement that occurred on July 7, 2016, Reginald instructed Jim the Assistant Manager to work with my husband to coordinate pick up for the settlement check. Subsequently, due to Kesler's poor management skills and severe lack of customer service he was replaced by Nate in early September. When I called the bank in early September to inquiry on the progress of my husband picking of the check I spoke to Jim the Assistance Manager. Jim again was instructed by Reginald to assist my husband with this customer issue, however, when I talked to Jim he deliberately lied to me saying he didn't know anything about this issue and was not involved. This type of PNC management customer service is inexcusable to allow a manager of the bank to lie to a customer and not offer assistance in their position of management. He said that he did not know anything about the issue relating to my husband and the pending settlement check being held by PNC. He said that Nate would have to handle it and at that point refused to offer assistance and ended the conversation. Later on that day, my husband called Jim regarding the settlement issue at which time Jim proceeded to go off on my husband about my conversation with him. What type of unprofessional manager would chastise a customer regarding the earlier conversation with his wife. Jim needs to be disciplined for his conduct regarding customer relations as well as customer service and should not be in the position of Assistance Manager until he learns more about being discrete when talking to customers and what it actually means to provide customer service. Now onto Nate the new Branch Manager who never seems to be available either by phone or in person. Again on several occasions my husband made an appointment with Nate to pick up the check but when Nate had to change the appointment did not notify my husband and my husband would have to call to confirm the appointment. Since Nate had continued to be unavailable or provide a solution on how my husband could obtain his settlement check/funds, my husband had to propose to Nate on doing an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Why is it that these managers are so incompetent in dealing with a customer for more than 2 months that they can offer viable banking solutions to ensure that the customer gets their settlement check/funds. Therefore, as of Monday, September 12, 2016, my husband requested to do an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) from the account at PNC to another financial institution so that we can finally get our settlement check/money after more than 2 months. Nate assured my husband that the funds would be transferred by Friday, September 16, 2016. However, Nate did not provide any follow up with my husband to close the loop and unfortunately my husband did not receive the transfer by Friday, September 16 and had to follow up with Nate. Nate then gave my husband more excuses not solutions or a guarantee of when the funds would be transferred but said it would be by either Saturday, September 17 or Monday, September 19. Again, PNC management and their internal processes have failed since the EFT did not occur on either September 17 or the 19. Nate is failing as a officer of the bank in his management role to provide timely follow up, continuous customer service and bring closure to this issue it raises the question about the ethics and business practices of these managers at this bank location. This issue needs to be resolved immediately to provide my husband with his settlement funds from July 7, 2016.

Amanda Oldakowski: Went in for a wire transfer. Everything went fine until a few days later I noticed a $30 fee was pulled put of my account! No one ever told me about this and when I called to inquire about it, I was told I should have asked if there were fees attached!?!? I've been a loyal PNC customer for years, and they refused to find any fault or refund me for a charge I was never told about. I'll be taking my business elsewhere!!

Tina Smith: This bank is very short staff and there's a lady name Latoya dent,...she needs to work on her customer service, she talks over you without getting all the facts and she's a know it all, when she really don't know much SMH, your better off visiting another Branch

Jonathan Leonard: John Ekeukei helped me count my mobey and saw that I was shorting myself $100! In an ethical manner, he corrected me, when he could have easily done something corrupt. This is avouch for a trustworthy teller.

Sharon Dennis: As a long-time PNC customer, I find it absolutely ridiculous that I have to justify why I should not have to pay to park in the PNC parking lot for 15-20 minutes. The is no drive thru window or ATM. The bank only has one entrance which is on the opposite side of the building from the parking lot. The options given for parking are to pay a ridiculous price or take the ticket stub inside and have it stamped by a teller. Thankfully I am young enough and not physically disabled so I can walk around the bank on a 30 degree windy day to get my ticket stamped.

We are so pleased to be banking with this Branch for decades, and that despite changes in staffing, these are the very Best of the bunch... including persons I cannot recall at this moment. Banks are supposed to be so impersonal but these people make you feel like you are family, that they are there to serve you, and that they care about you. Kudo's all around!!!

Mike Dunham: I have always found PNC Bank and the Chevy Chase Branch in particular goes out of its way to be of assistance to me. They have been patient in assisting me in financing a mortgage loan and anticipating my financial needs. I couldn't be happier.

Arthur Gowran: PNC at Chevy Chase is absymal in terms of customer service. I reordered checks. The first set of checks had my address incorrect. The second set of checks added another name to the checks. Finally, after multiple phone calls, the third set of checks was correct. To compound this problem, my account was debited $49 for the checks, two sets of which were useless. The checks should not have cost me anything because of the type of account I have. Over the course of four days, I called the branch at least five times and left messages to speak with the branch manager. One day I called twice in the morning and never received a call back. I expended several hours on this issue. Caveat emptor!

Toni Lewis: Don’t know if this is their structure or if i went on an off day, but there aren’t traditional “tellers” for getting you in and out with simple transactions, which means a long wait time for customer service with a banker

Nicole Thompson: Clean and inviting environment with an ATM inside. Generally friendly service when you can get it. Do not plan on getting in and out in the middle of the day unless you're using the ATM. There's always a line for customer service with a lengthy wait time.

CC ME: The bank manager at this location provided me with the worst service I have ever received he called me by my first name and had me wait a hour and a half just to tell me that he needs my daughters signature for a check I deposited at a earlier date and when I called to find out who gave me the worst service he said it was me but it didn’t quite happen that way so on top of terrible service he also perceived it happening a different way I’m taking my money elsewhere

Devin Dove: My Mom and I went to PNC Bank on Thursday to open an Estate checking account. Never have gone to a bank before where the staff was so helpful. From the time we entered until we left, the Branch Manager Nicola Reid and Monique Brown, Service Associate, were very professional and completely friendly. They answered all our questions and made our visit memorable.
