Steven Zimmerman: a wonderful day for GW’s MPH graduation

Rich Lanthier: I work at GW so walk by the Smith Center all the time. In addition to GW basketball this 5000 seat arena hosts graduation celebrations, speakers, concerts, and other events. Nice facility right on the GW campus near Foggy Bottom metro station.

Bernie Seinberg: Great place for a college graduation.Excellent visibility.

Dante Jones: Nice venue I enjoyed the Championship game here

Herman Quay: Saw a tennis match there. Nice small venue on George Washington campus.

ronald downs: Loved it great basketball experience.

Washington Sports Clubs - DuPont Circle: what do users think?

Jesse Bacon: I was in town three days for a conference and needed a gym to workout in… when we asked about daily passes the staff was super friendly and helpful in allowing me and a colleague to utilize the facility… I was able to complete all of my CrossFit workouts for the three days I was there. The facility was spacious and had everything we needed. Would totally recommend to anyone in the area looking for a gym home or those passing though on business. I’ll visit again whenever I’m in the area.

J Heather: Very friendly front desk staff and cleaning staff. Location is well maintained (cleanliness and equipment). The location can get crowded especially during rush hours (around lunch and at the end of the day). The other WSC nearby shutdown so their members automatically transferred to this location. Bathroom/lockers may be spotty at times but it depends on the time of the day. They offer membership discounts if you sign up in person (just a warning regarding the annual fee- they cannot waive it).

Conor O'Reilly: I had a personal training session with Phil and he did a great job! He taught me a lot about free weights and stretching. Now I feel more comfortable to use the more advanced equipment. They also have a pool, sauna, and basketball court. Love this place

Mahvash Edrissi: I started going to gym a month ago, first it was difficult to come out after so long time lock down. But after few days I got used to it now i want to go there everyday. Friendy staff, and clean place, and all equipment makes this place great. I do my exercise, take a shower and saunas, afterwards I feel great about myself. Thank you wsc

Equinox Sports Club Washington, D.C.: what do users think?

David Gershman: Today I signed up and had a great experience. Mike, in membership, not only showed me around- they answered every question with full clarity, gave me far more insight than I expected, and was simply very nice and sweet. I knew I was going to get a membership going in, but it’s nice to get warmth and comfort instantly upon arrival. Felt like I was one of the regular folks

TPMT Associates: Love it here as usual - they take care of the place and most importantly, the people who works out here take care of the place and is clean and tidy and doesn’t trash the place. As usual, it’s the people who come to gyms that are the messy/dirty and this place doesn’t have those ppl - not that I saw anyways!

John Heinemann: You get what you pay for. This gym doesn’t make sense for everyone, no one is a better person for going here, and a free gym in an apartment building is going to do 90% of what Equinox does. But the other 10%? I actually look forward to working out more when there’s both a sauna and a steam room, a saltwater pool, luxury bath products, memory foam floors for stretching, and refrigerators full of Eucalyptus infused face towels. I go for the amenities, and then I just decide to work out because I’m already there.

Roschel Davis: Excellent school with great programs and supportive culture.

Craig Foucht: Went to a football game here. Nice.

Phineas Reichert: Improving athletic complex at the Catholic University of America. Outdoor and indoor track have been redone within the past year. Weight room is all new. Gymnasium is freshly redone. Overall, nice for D3 athletic facilities.

Chanelle Williams: Nice athletic center but no enough parking. I had to park on the street and walk half a mile to get in and this was for a cheer competition which only took up half of the center. Cant imagine how horrid parking would be on game day.

Hebrew Yisrael: Victory for Good Counsel

Coach Apa: Great place to watch a football game!

Nathan Lapin: Easy place to park, great turf and grass fields.

Hannah Degn: Definitely one of the best fields we played at all season! The turf is great, plus they have dugouts for both teams. We loved playing under the lights even though it was so cold. We also appreciate that because the field is so big you can get more home runs based on league rules.

Aladdin Al-Ayoubi: The field is turf but it is occupied most of the time. The lights stay on until 10 pm so I guess you can plan your game after 8. Usually it is empty by that time. If the field is taken and you want to play soccer, there is a grass area next to it and futsal field near.

DOC's Detailing: Spacious, clean, and safe are all a part of the experience you will have when visiting the field. Come get your game on, and enjoy this location to its fullest.

Kaleesa Henry: Nice turf field with dirt softball field to the side. Street parking so be prepared.

Kevin Sunita: I’ve recently joined CCAC since I heard about them from a fellow member. The classes looked like something I would be very interested in, but more so the stretch class. I’ve had back issues for quite a while now but after attending that class for a couple weeks, my back has never felt better. The instructor Vikky makes the class very fun and enjoyable along with the people that take it. Would highly recommend this gym!

Lallie Marita: The staff and trainers at CCAC have been some of the best. A lot of gyms feel very “money-grabber” so-to-speak and I have never once felt this way here, even though many will simply go out of their way to offer a correction or two. This gym also appears to attract everyone, but definitely leans toward a younger to middle-age crowd, all are welcome nonetheless!

Lisa Wu: I live closeby in a neighboring apartment complex and recently joined CCAC a couple months ago after touring the facility and doing a free trial. I highly recommend attending their Strong class with Hayat every Tuesday and Thursday; this has been a game changer for me and my fitness goals. It has helped me tighten up and tone my body all over - especially my core and inner thighs. This instructor is one of the best I have ever taken from and is extremely motivating and personable!

Athletic Republic Capitol Region: what do users think?

Elite Athletics and Personal Training: Very very cool that they turned the old Capital Sports Complex into Athletic Republic. I trained there as a kid in Bowie and now they have a full sized facility?! Definitely gotta visit when I’m back in town.

Ryan Horning: Great place for basketball tournaments.

jay R.: This is a huge sports building. They have several indoor basketball courts, workout weight training, indoor turf field and more. I came here for an Under Armour basketball tournament with my son.The staff were very friendly and organized. They have a food cafeteria which served breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was outstanding and they have a large menu, bigger than most basketball indoor places where tournaments are held! They have a variety of drink machines and food snack machines. They also have a large sitting area for a big groups of people. The parking is a huge parking lot with plenty of space. I do think they should have more indoor seating though. This is a really great place to host basketball tournaments.

Toni Gonzales: Went there for a youth basketball ball. No problems.

Banita Porter: The investment that the owner has made in this venue shows well. Thank you for improving the appearance of your business. Excellent location for tournaments.

Edward Wendel: Great gym and great trainers. I have been using gym since its opening. I am now 81 (yes, I know, old). Have been training for several years with Razonte Dunn. He may be exceptional at training high performing athletes, but he also has a special gift for taking everyone seriously and taking them to the highest level they can achieve. He not only knows the mechanics of training, he communicates a desire to make you succeed that is contagious. This experience has been life-changing.

Asher Allman: Great gym at an affordable rate. Helpful and responsive staff, both in person trainers and with online/email inquiries. All the equipment you would need, and a really cool atmosphere/space. Big fan!

Rachael Hunt: I want to give 5 stars to Raz, one of the trainers. I’ve been working out with him in his group classes and it’s been a great experience. He is super enthusiastic and always plans engaging and effective workouts. He is a great motivator. If you are ready to push yourself, he’s the trainer for you.

Devon Murphy: Love this gym! Best gym in the area by far. My only recommendation would be to add mirrors in front of ALL the squat racks. It is beyond me why half would have mirrors and half do not.

Entertainment & Sports Arena: what do users think?

Summer M: Great atmosphere, but wish the food options were better and the arena was slightly bigger. The comcast center was too big for them but I feel this arena is too small for them. It leaves no opportunity for the franchise to grow in the amount of people that come to games. They could definitely be selling more tickets especially with the sold out games.

Robert Rains: Visited here for an AEW wrestling television show in January. It’s a beautiful facility that does not feel too daunting. The restrooms were clean and there were plenty of exits in case of an emergency. Unfortunately, this complex exists pretty far from downtown DC, so if you’re leaving an event ending late in the evening have a plan for getting home.

Jeff Lucarelli: Such a great venue to see AEW!!

Bethelehem Yirga: I’ve gone to the Arena twice now - once for the Mystics Championship Game and for the Global Mixed Gender Basketball. Both games were great experiences - and packed. The feel of the DC community is strong at the arena, and I love the serving of Hennessy at the bars. The arena gives you the feel of home in a polished, professional space. Excited to attend more events at this space.

Mrs. O'Neal: Ok! Can we say AWESOME! From the shuttle ride to the concessions everything was on point! Seats are cool, section 200 is on a major incline I don’t recommend this to folks with babies! But not a bad seat in the house! Can’t wait to go back for another event! My recommendation if you do use the shuttle leave a tad early free your event so you don’t have to wait long for a ride back to the car!

dionne davis: Awesomeness! Mystic Ladies represented

Kaya Walton: The coaches are fantastic. They can get through to the kids about the importance of their training, and they make it fun. I am a strong believer of the program. My kid showed significant improvements within months of training with Redline coaches.

D Rivera: Nice people and my son had a very good workout

Monica Byrd: Great facility, service and training options for athletes!

Alicia Simon (MyWorkbasket): Great coaches that know their stuff and really care about safety! Kind, friendly, great staff all the way around.

K A: I walked in to create an account and to inquire about the aquatic center. The employee I spoke with at the activities desk was very friendly and courteous making the process seamless and also I was able to take a tour of the facility. It’s a very big and decent facility with various activities such as the fitness center, indoor track, gymnastics and athletic fields. I haven’t used the pool yet but I still highly recommend. Good Service✅ Very Friendly And Courteous Staff✅ ♿️Wheelchair Accessible Entrance✅ 🚻Restroom ♿️Wheelchair Accessible Parking Lot✅

Mark Eldridge: Impressive, modern facilities. We attended for a gymnastics competition. They have each piece of apparatus in duplicate. The organization of spectators was efficiently managed, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Tameka Barbour: This facility is great. I used to go for the indoor pool which is nice but now my daughter attends the open gym tumbling drop-ins with Coach Wale. Sooo many people come to see him. His Coaching style is tough yet respectful. He seems to be very knowledgeable about his work, will give you his info and answer all questions. He also will push your kids which I love. He is very amusing as well. Drop-in days are Fridays 8:00 pm to 9pm and Sundays all groups 4pm to 5pm. Fee $15

Jack Burton: We went to get my 11 y/o son his first COVID shot. The process was smooth, glad to finally see our tax dollars in action!!

Derwin Phillips: Received vaccine shot. Well organized for walk up and appointment visits. Large capacity allows for smooth process.

Walter Holmes: Clean, organized, a lot activities, and just a gem. I love this place.

Benyam Ephrem: Overall: Solid gym, nothing is overtly missing. You can do everything you need to do. Summary: Basically 3 floors, cardio floor, machine + dumbbell floor, powerlifting floor (w/ dumbbell rack). Good: The ambiance and vibe is good. You feel like you are working out in a cave with a bunch of people. Bad: - Working out from 5-6/7 sucks. The gym is too small to serve the load of patrons at rush times. There aren’t enough benches & benches for presses so you find yourself waiting for major lifts. - If you go any other time that is non-rush it is a solid gym - The benches are way too close to the mirrors, you can’t do heavy lifts and drop weights. It just feels cramped. You have to maneuver around people doing heavy lifts and there are just personal space issues (when squatting I don’t want anyone near me, we have mental bubbles). - Maybe picky but the dumbbells are decent ones. I’ve used better with more grip (steel handle with a mesh pattern etched in). They are a bit narrow in grip and have plastic handles with decent grip. This nuance is kind of annoying and grip is worse so I just do few dumbbell movements now. I’d give ~3 1/2 stars but I imagine there is a huge constraint on real-estate within the city so a gym can only be so large, etc (can’t compare it to gyms I’ve been to elsewhere). But at ~$120/130/mo you’d want more space and just…more. But this was the closest complete gym option to me (.8 mile jog) and the vibes are good. Edit: Have visited all other branches. Nice to be able to switch up gyms on a day you have time to jog farther. Great branding & vibe consistency. Great value add if you want to switch things up and drop in other gyms.

Joe Kawly: The most decent gym in DC. But lately, they have been faking short especially when it comesTo maintenance. It feels like each day there is something not working.

Mattia Pallozzi: Honestly I have had always a lovely experience, clean fun and the staff especially has always been pretty amazing, from managers to trainers! 👌🏻👌🏻

Reynaldo Castillo: Positive: ProfessionalismAmazing workout experience from the membership consultation to the quality of the facility. Paul Leiby understood my fitness goals and listened to all my concerns as I came from another gym franchise. I fully endorse the quality of the experience and I guaranty you will see results in your fitness goals.

The St. James: what do users think?

Ciara Long: A phenomenal facility to say the least! Our DC HBCU Alliance 5K was hosted here and I was truly impressed. Ample parking and the building exterior is beautiful but when you enter you see the gem that it truly is - areas for lacrosse, batting, wall climbing, weight and cardio training, saw there’s a water park as well as kid friendly areas as well. There were areas to shop with athletic gear including shoes plus a nice eatery. I’d love to come back on my own time and really experience The St. James for all it had to offer!

beyondTabu: It’s massive!! Everything from golf, swimming pool, basketball, ice hockey, football, restaurant, indoor play area, climbing gym, to an exercise gym. It’s a membership/ daily fee and it was pretty busy on a Saturday when we went to Super Awesome & Amazing indoor play. There’s also pretty good wifi in the entire complex.

Robert Christopher-Strayhorn: Incredible! Beautiful facility. Uniquely under a single roof, and great location for swimming, climbing, courts and fields, gymnast-ing, lifting, golf, ice skating, turf fielding, kid and adult parties, food and cocktails and more.

Tabitha Walter: I have been a member of the St. James for 2 months now, and I can’t say enough good things about the place! The staff is super friendly and hospitable. The entire facility is clean. They are consistently cleaning while I work out. There are many options to choose from when it comes to fitness whether it’s machines, free weights, cardio, various classes, sports-related activities, etc. I’m never bored there. Plus, it’s very family friendly and the fees are affordable. I feel great every time I’m there. The St. James has truly renewed my desire to be healthy.
