VIDA Fitness U Street: what do users think?

Benyam Ephrem: Overall: Solid gym, nothing is overtly missing. You can do everything you need to do. Summary: Basically 3 floors, cardio floor, machine + dumbbell floor, powerlifting floor (w/ dumbbell rack). Good: The ambiance and vibe is good. You feel like you are working out in a cave with a bunch of people. Bad: - Working out from 5-6/7 sucks. The gym is too small to serve the load of patrons at rush times. There aren’t enough benches & benches for presses so you find yourself waiting for major lifts. - If you go any other time that is non-rush it is a solid gym - The benches are way too close to the mirrors, you can’t do heavy lifts and drop weights. It just feels cramped. You have to maneuver around people doing heavy lifts and there are just personal space issues (when squatting I don’t want anyone near me, we have mental bubbles). - Maybe picky but the dumbbells are decent ones. I’ve used better with more grip (steel handle with a mesh pattern etched in). They are a bit narrow in grip and have plastic handles with decent grip. This nuance is kind of annoying and grip is worse so I just do few dumbbell movements now. I’d give ~3 1/2 stars but I imagine there is a huge constraint on real-estate within the city so a gym can only be so large, etc (can’t compare it to gyms I’ve been to elsewhere). But at ~$120/130/mo you’d want more space and just…more. But this was the closest complete gym option to me (.8 mile jog) and the vibes are good. Edit: Have visited all other branches. Nice to be able to switch up gyms on a day you have time to jog farther. Great branding & vibe consistency. Great value add if you want to switch things up and drop in other gyms.

Joe Kawly: The most decent gym in DC. But lately, they have been faking short especially when it comesTo maintenance. It feels like each day there is something not working.

Mattia Pallozzi: Honestly I have had always a lovely experience, clean fun and the staff especially has always been pretty amazing, from managers to trainers! 👌🏻👌🏻

Reynaldo Castillo: Positive: ProfessionalismAmazing workout experience from the membership consultation to the quality of the facility. Paul Leiby understood my fitness goals and listened to all my concerns as I came from another gym franchise. I fully endorse the quality of the experience and I guaranty you will see results in your fitness goals.

Crunch Fitness - Chevy Chase: what do users think?

Jade Rodrigues: I’m really happy to have joined this gym. I got some sessions and my trainer Dawn was super helpful and is the sweetest person! I had never had a trainer before and she exceeded all of my expectations. When I joined the gym I wasn’t sure how to start and felt intimidated with all the equipments options. Dawn showed me a variety of exercises and created a workout plan that was tailored to me, to my needs and what I need to improve. Seeing her definitely made me feel motivated and confident to keep going regularly to the gym. Dawn is super nice, caring, and dedicated, and I would see her every day if I could!

Katerina Athena: I’m a new member of crunch and I already love it! Everyone has been super friendly so far. I’m doing personal training with Sean. He is very attentive and personalizes my workouts. I have previous injuries to my spine and he really checks in and makes sure I’m not doing anything to further my injuries and incorporates workouts that will help strengthen areas that will lessen my chronic pain. I haven’t used the showers yet but it’s super nice that they provide towel service so you don’t have to carry a soggy towel out with you. There’s a parking lot in the back and you can get validated for 100 free minutes. I got a great deal on a few personal training sessions but I will continue to go even after those are finished!

Brian Jessup: Can’t say enough good things about this gym. Housekeeping is always keeping busy making sure the gym is spotless. Management always tries to answer questions and resolve concerns as quick as possible. Front desk staff always welcomes you with a smile and most even by name. Trainers are very knowledgeable and attentive.

Mikhail Nowlin: This is by far the best gym I have worked out at since moving too Maryland. Very clean, very friendly non judge mental environment. The staff are great! And for a low monthly price compared too other gyms. Check it out!!!!

Camilo Conde: The vibe of crunch is excellent. My trainer, Sean, and other staff are extremely helpful and positive. The variety of equipment is diverse and gives gym goers the ability to train with a highly varied program structure if desired. Also a short walk from the Friendship Heights metro station.

Marie Moylan: Excellent facility. Always active but never crowded. Great range of machinery and space for exercising. The cleaning staff are of the highest quality and are always working to clean and sanitize the facilities. Covid rules were followed religiously and I have always felt ‘Covid-safe’ working out there. We’ll organized, professional and friendly.

Colton Long: I’ve been coming to this Crunch location since fall 2018, and it’s been one of the best gyms I’ve frequented in the DMV. They’ve handled the pandemic and its ups and downs like rock stars. The only main caveat I’ll add here is that they desperately need squat racks that don’t have fixed safeties. Deadlift platforms are also a huge need, but squat racks with adjustable safeties are #1 on the list in my view.

MINT health club & studio- Dupont: what do users think?

R Adebowale: Great local gym. Small building but with all the modern equipment needed for a good workout. Nice front desk staff.

Lexie Barton: I love Mint!! I have been so impressed by their ability to pivot during the pandemic and create an environment that truly feels safe for everyone. I cancelled my gym membership before the pandemic at another gym and felt unsafe returning as I have an at-risk person at home, until I found Mint! Cannot say enough good things about the team and the facility. Thank you, Mint team! Also agree with the 2nd review below 👇 I’ve been during all times of the day and have never had an issue with any of my belongings. There is ample locker space with the ability to choose your own combination so you can secure your items. I’ve never seen or encountered any issues.

Kaelah Horwath: MINT is the BEST! All of the instructors are amazing and it is such a nice place to work out.

Blanca Badgett: Mint is fantastic! The variety of classes is great as I lack self structure when I try to workout alone. The instructors are very motivating and work with all skill levels. They all have a good knowledge base to modify workouts for people with injuries which I appreciate. They also have a child care, full amenity locker rooms, and a coffee machine. It is rather expensive for memberships so I would suggest using ClassPass to try it out before fully committing. Their memberships do also include the 14th St location!

Mallika Thomas: Such a great place! Really nice to go to a local, family-owned gym that is really set on delivering great health and wellness to the local community! What I especially love are the outdoor classes that are being offered in the time of Covid. They are safe, in small groups, and outdoors! And I really need the exercise after having been inside for so many months! Thank you, especially to Lauren for offering a fantastic outdoor workout!

Washington Sports Clubs - Glover Park: what do users think?

My Comment: Great neighborhood gym. Staff there -- Mahlape, Olga, Luis -- who are there in the mornings are friendly and quick to help if you have questions. You get a neighborhood vibe from the place as compared to the nameless big gyms. Especially during the pandemic you can see the extra effort they put in to keep the place clean, open, and welcoming. They make you feel part of a family. Glad to be a Glover Park member.

Jason Yeung: Been a member for several months now. I’ve haven’t had a negative experience with team members. The people that workout here are also very respectful and friendly. In response to a negative review of a team member I wanted to share my experience with her. Towards me, she’s always been friendly and hospitable. She does her best to remember everyone by name and notices when your workout buddy isn’t with you, even to the point of asking if they’re ok. The lack of a 5th star is not because of the staff. I wish there were bumper plates, another squat rack, and high quality barbells. That’s most likely a corporate issue.

Ricardo Martinez: I must disagree with a previous review. Malape is a value member of the gym, she is courteous, polite and nice in general. If there is a piece of equipment that is behind the desk, she would gladly point it to me so I can grab it (due to COVID). Luis is another great asset to the gym, he always looks to have everything ready and clean for us to workout early in the morning, always say hi with a smile and good attitude. I am appreciative of their work.

John Byrne: This is a great sports club with a friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Mahlape has always been an incredible asset -- friendly, professional and knowledgeable -- and Luis keeps everything extremely clean. The club was renovated a few years ago, and there is great equipment and a lot of space. Also, very easy to get to on Wisconsin Avenue.

Alexandre B. Sagna: I love ❤️ being part of Washington Sport Club Glover Park. The whole staff is friendly 😊. Brought two of my buddies to train with me and they loved it. Yes it’s tiny that’s true so if you don’t like being close to each other I recommend not to come around pick time 😊.

Joao Pedro: Very friendly staff and great customer service! I also want to kindly disagree with what was said in the latest review since I believe that the “older black woman”, as she was referred, is actually a valuable member and a very nice person who contributes a lot to the gym with her nice work. I only have great words to say about the whole team that works there. The gym is always super clean. The machines are well maintained, and there’s a good number of ergs, so I don’t have to wait to do my cardio.

Will Wu: Great budget gym in Glover Park. Been a member for almost a year and never had any problems with them. Would recommend

Vinicio Aguirre: Wsc Glover is a gym that I highly recommend to the neighborhood or anyone looking to go have a good workout. It’s had major changes since the original Covid transitions. The people there are welcoming and enthusiastic when it comes to its members. If you are an individual that is somewhat of a germaphobe, there is an employee by name of Shanica who works hard keeping the cleanliness of the gym to its highest standards. She makes sure the antibacterial wipes are always stocked and the workout rooms as well as mats are cleaned daily. Overall I believe you come to the gym you’ll agree with my review.

Bernard Holland: I have not been to WSC Glover Park since the pandemic and plan to rejoin when things quiet down. Before that I was there most days for ten years. The elderly black woman Lizzie was referring to is Mahlape who has been there for more than 20 years. Mahlape is the glue that holds that club together. All the people I know that attended the club adored Mahlape. I cannot imagine her being rude undeservedly to anyone. Moreover I have seen a few altercations between staff and members in my time at the club. Invariably it was the members who were at fault.

Balance Gym Thomas Circle: what do users think?

J: I was visiting DC and did a few CrossFit drop in classes. The coaches were excellent and welcoming, and all of the class members were very friendly. The facility is excellent. Thanks for making my visit so nice.

Alistair Perumal: Used this gym for a month in DCReally enjoyed the atmosphere and most especially the Sanitized environmentWould go again!

Jack Sykstus: Was a long time member. Went to both Thomas Circle and Foggy Bottom locations frequently. Great gym in the DC area, and live the CrossFit programming. Tons of options for fitness there. Go if you can.

Kristin Dion: The staff was friendly, the facilities seemed clean, hand sanitizer was well stocked, and the classes have been helpful!

Obi Asemota: I joined this gym with my wife about a year ago after seeing how well kept the place is, and how professional the staff and trainers conducted themselves. We’ve been doing our evening work outs ever since, and I must say, the ties we’ve made with the people here are just beyond words. One of the best gyms in DC, without a doubt.

Caetie Ofiesh: Easily the best gym in the city, reasonably priced and a great workout atmosphere - nice but not fancy, lots of people serious about fitness. Ive gotten some of my best training advice from staff there, Michael, Stacy, Aesha and others.

Brendan Gregory: Really awesome gym! Lots of squat racks and bars on the second floor. First floor is just for cross fit but the rest of the building is for regular gym members. They also have personal training in a separate studio right on 14th Street.

David Lapidus: Fantastic gym. Have been a member since 2012 (Thomas Circle location) and been happy the whole time. Plenty of squat racks and places to perform olympic lifts. GREAT membership options especially compared to the bloodsucking national chain gyms.

Pure Barre: what do users think?

Sonni D: Emily taught my Intro class and it was great. She was very helpful and informative about the different techniques. Great workout. I will be adding Pure Barre to my workout routine!

Denise Morris: Great workout! Even thought it’s tiny oilers they really work your full body

Ade A: PB Capitol Hill is an amazing and inviting studio. The teachers are lovely and attentive. This is a five star studio for sure. The pure barre classic is my class of choice but all classes are great and Challenging but in a good way. I always feel great leaving the studio after a workout. It’s definitely worth the money!!!

Kirby Shultz: Every workout at Pure Barre is challenging and targets very specific muscles throughout your body! No matter how many times you have taken a class or how regularly you go, there is always a way to continue to challenge yourself and to see results. The instructors and front desk staff are friendly and able to answer any questions about classes, prices, or modifications. The studio is clean and well-kept and street parking in Eastern Market is easy or you can use the metro!

Julie Scarano: The addition of the Pure Reform and Pure Empower has been a very welcome addition to my work out routine. PB Capitol Hill has offered these classes at convenient times and with good instructors- and you can’t beat the location! I would like to see instructors interact with newer clients and learn their names as well, but I would definitely recommend this studio!

Meredith Mull: Classes are decent. You never do any one move for too long so classes feel like they go quickly which is nice. Instructors are friendly. I would say Pure Barre is somewhere in between Bar Method (I found boring and repetitive) and Barre3 (more difficult and nicer, more modern studios). Soon Pure Barre will have three class types to choose from which is nice for regulars. They also do workshops occasionally which is a great option.

Northwest Sport&Health: what do users think?

Gregory Cork: FITNESS AND FELLOWSHIP IN UPPER NORTHWEST DC If you work out, every once in a while you find that memorable gym – the place where not only your fitness soared, but so did your spirits when you walked in the door. Northwest Sport&Health (NWSH) is that kind of gym. It’s a given that any quality gym will have the equipment and amenities you need to get and stay in shape. NWSH certainly has all that: two floors, with cardio equipment, a bike spin room, and studios for all kinds of classes up top (and a full and varied weekly fitness schedule); and two thoroughly-equipped weight rooms downstairs – all the machines you’ll need plus plenty of free weights, including two Smith racks. But the essential, even ineffable factor always is the fitness staff. And on this count, NWSH is terrific. Led by General Manager Moses Robinson and Fitness Director Alex Switzky, these folks are professional, knowledgeable, attentive, supportive, engaging, courteous – and not only fun, but funny. (Make sure to ask Moses about The Smolder.) Most important to me personally was that NWSH served as a haven for me through most of the COVID-19 pandemic. Working out at NWSH (yes, with a mask), and hanging with the team and the people I got to know at the gym, came to be the anchor of my day. It was what I most looked forward to, each day, in a bizarre time – a time that otherwise would have lacked air and connection, and that would have meant isolation for this active person. I always will remember and be grateful to NWSH for that critical time and for their collective generosity of spirit.

Tala K: Northwest Sport and Health is the perfect gym. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The facility is always clean and has everything you need. Great instructors and all types of fitness classes and training available. The kids’ club is our favorite. The caregivers are experienced and caring, you can enjoy your workout without a worry. Love this place and highly recommend. Thank you!

Donna Rosen: I have been a member of Northwest Sport and Health for 10+ years. I like this gym for exercise because it is laid back, but has excellent equipment and a diverse membership. I have worked with several Personal Trainers at this gym. All were good, but John Vallimarescu is one of the best Personal Trainers I have ever had. He is very careful to address the unique needs of each client. He pushes you but does not exert excessive pressure -- perfect balance. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an outstanding Personal Trainer at NW S&H.

barre3: what do users think?

Kathleen Schwarz: After having my first child, I had a hard time finding an exercise class that allowed me to reconnect to my core muscles, adapt moves for my current abilities and range of motion, not strain a recovering pelvic floor, and still be challenging. The classes at barre3 have checked all these boxes! I’m already noticing much more stability in my core and the glute strength I’ve been missing after only one week of attending. I’d definitely recommend this for someone returning to exercise postpartum!

Nhu Girl: If you’re new, I like to say Barre3 is a mixture of Zumba, Yoga, and Ballet techniques combined. It’s fun, upbeat and challenging. They offer a lot of time slots so it’s easy to schedule a class into your day. Parking is easy to find and love their location.

Jessica Goodman: barre3 DC studios (Clarendon, Navy Yard, Union Station) consistently provide a stellar workout and a wide variety of options to keep me engaged and successful during workouts. The staff and members are very welcoming and non-judgemental. Highly recommend.

Elizabeth Charash: Great classes!! Love an early morning workout and it is so nice to have so many options throughout the week. The instructors are great and the studio is a nice respite from a busy day.

Mathea Pielemeier: Barre3 instructors are always friendly, energetic, and welcoming! It’s a great low impact workout and good combo of cardio & strength work.

Cally Perkins: Barre3 Navy Yard is a great experience. Impressive studio with plenty of space and fun instructors who keep you energized and going! Highly recommend.

Jen Kennery: I cannot say enough good things about how much FUN Dance Trance is!! Oh man, from the teachers, to the music, to the choreo, the community…everything about DTDC Is just so welcoming and so much fun. Experienced members go out of their way to introduce themselves to new folks and after classes a few times a week a group may head to a nearby spot to grab a bite or a drink. 👌🏻 Easiest decision ever.

Chakaboom Fitness: what do users think?

Tina M: Unlike any other gym/ workout place I’ve ever been to. Instructors know your name; they are happy to see you every time you come in; and they genuinely love what they do. They offer a variety of classes from weightlifting, resistance training, stretching, but my favorite is the dance class, which I would refer to as Zumba 2.0. It’s a higher quality of Zumba with cool choreography that makes you feel like you are a professional dancer yourself. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for exercise, good time, positive vibes, and new friends all in one place.

Dana Esposito: Chakaboom Fitness is a fun, extremely effective, and amazing full body workout. The instructors at Chakaboom are extremely well trained, and highly skilled. They will help you to accomplish your goals. The classes are instructor lead, with self modification. The instructors will help you follow the class at a pace good for you. For instance in chakabar if the class is doing legs (squats) you can do abs on the step. In dance class you can go with a low impact option. In bounce class you can bounce on the boots to your comfort level. There is room for everyone in Chakaboom classes, all ages and body types can enjoy and benefit from the workouts. The atmosphere is like no other, everyone does not just come for class and leave. People get to know each other, the instructors will learn your name, and you will find encouragement. Chakaboom fitness is a very special place, many of refer to as our happy places. There is always room for more in the happy place!

Gayle Coston: I stopped by to observe first and it was amazing. I went back the next week and signed up for 20 sessions on the spot. I started that evening and it was awesome. Everyone is so friendly and the instructors are the best.

Ginger Fletcher: Love love love. Will change your life! Great energy, family atmosphere, instructors are amazing. Thank you.

C DJ: Great routines, great instructors

Kevin Sunita: I’ve recently joined CCAC since I heard about them from a fellow member. The classes looked like something I would be very interested in, but more so the stretch class. I’ve had back issues for quite a while now but after attending that class for a couple weeks, my back has never felt better. The instructor Vikky makes the class very fun and enjoyable along with the people that take it. Would highly recommend this gym!

Lallie Marita: The staff and trainers at CCAC have been some of the best. A lot of gyms feel very “money-grabber” so-to-speak and I have never once felt this way here, even though many will simply go out of their way to offer a correction or two. This gym also appears to attract everyone, but definitely leans toward a younger to middle-age crowd, all are welcome nonetheless!

Lisa Wu: I live closeby in a neighboring apartment complex and recently joined CCAC a couple months ago after touring the facility and doing a free trial. I highly recommend attending their Strong class with Hayat every Tuesday and Thursday; this has been a game changer for me and my fitness goals. It has helped me tighten up and tone my body all over - especially my core and inner thighs. This instructor is one of the best I have ever taken from and is extremely motivating and personable!

Foundation Fitness of Cleveland Park: what do users think?

R. Montgomery: We are really enjoying the flexibility of using Foundation Fitness to get and stay in shape. The gym is convenient and friendly and we are enjoying a bonus of couples group training!

Mariana Salas: Positive: Professionalism, QualityThis gym is truly great! They have all the popular equipment you’ll need and a great space to do your own thing. The staff is incredibly friendly and the space is always clean. If you’re looking for a low-key gym this is it. I feel super comfortable and they offer a variety of classes in your membership.

Ben Rissler: This is an excellent gym with friendly staff! The facility is relatively small, but the gym has everything that you need to have a good workout. The gym is always immaculately clean, COVID-19 procedures are followed by everyone, and its online people tracker allows you to see how many individuals are at the gym at any given time. During the pandemic, this is a great feature if you prefer to limit your exposure to others. The outdoor deck is a unique addition which allows you to workout outside, which is rare to find in cities. Highly recommend this gym!

Shahrzad RoshanZamir: If you live close to the Woodley/Cleveland area, Foundation Fitness is definitely the highest quality gym with the most convenient location!! They have a variety of equipments that can be used by both beginner and advanced lifters. Both the staff and the members are very respectful and keep all the equipment clean, which is a plus. The staff is super supportive and welcoming. They made the environment of the new gym feel very friendly and provided with any help that I needed! If you are in DC for a short time/internship, they will work with you!! Their summer deal saved me so much money!

Danielle Lee: Love this boutique style gym! Been a member for a few years and the staff is always pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. Clean gym and even an outdoor space for some socially distant fresh air workouts. Imani is my trainer and I’ve grown in strength, endurance and confidence since working out with her. Love her motivation. Keeps me on my toes. And always shares great tips for me to practice at home too. Def check it out if you’re in the area. Worth it!

Kevin Lucey: The gym has everything you need as well as a nice personal feel. The members are very friendly and nice. The workers are enthusiastic and provide a good energy to the gym. The after hours is an outstanding policy that makess it much easier for the member to fit a workout into their schedule. Overall, the gym is a great atmosphere for a workout.

Emily: Everyone at foundation fitness Cleveland park is fantastic!! Imani and Tony are great trainers, they are fun and motivating. They make working out enjoyable. I recommend coming and training with them, they are so personable and awesome. Jenee is so welcoming and friendly. I enjoy everyone here and love coming in!

Edeline D.: I have been a member at this gym for a few months and I am very pleased with my experience. While on the small side, the facility is well maintained and equipped with everything needed to help you look and feel great. The staff is great and they are always happy to help or provide guidance during visits. Another plus is that the gym is conveniently located near the metro stop and the hours are flexible for anyone with a busy schedule. Special shoutout to Jenee, Imani, and Tony who are always welcoming and kind!

Rock Creek Sports Club: what do users think?

Daniela Velasquez: I’ve been coming to RCSC for a little over a year now and it’s been the best fitness decision I’ve made thus far! From the front desk workers and personal trainers to custodial staff— they are extremely welcoming, professional, and respectful. I am also appreciative to have found a place that actually enforces their sanitizing regulations. Aside from the people, they have a wide variety of equipment to fulfill your fitness goals and is well maintained. *Updated review* Since the beginning of COVID to its most recent Omicron variant, RCSC has done a great job at enforcing rules such as updating their patrons via email with mask mandates and documentation of vaccination cards. They also continue to have disinfectant bottles, wipes, and towels in multiple spots throughout the gym. Last but not least is the real time capacity tracker through their website. For those who live a bit further, have a busy schedule, or simply want to save themselves a trip to the gym before realizing it’s a bit too packed (this has rarely happened to me by the way, but would occur at the commercialized gym I used to go to)… the real time tracker will be your best friend.

Felix Mazza: Been going here for years love the people and environment. Not like other gyms where people expect their weights to be picked up by an employee, people respect the gym and clean up after themselves. Staff is very friendly and always happy to give tips here and there. Not to mention has a great community lots of cool and encouraging people who will spot you anytime. Also the equipment is much better than most bigger gyms in the area, they don’t waste money on things that never get used and have cool stuff that a lot of other gyms I’ve seen do not. Would recommend RCSC to any prospective gym goers they’re worth the money and time.

Rob Gilpin: I’ve been a member for a few years. They take pride in keeping the facility clean. Throughout the covid-19 crisis the club has clearly communicated the expectation that members maintain a proper face covering at all times, I think the maturity level of the members has aided in this. Powerlifting friendly, with multiple platforms, squat racks, and benches. I have never paid for training services but the entire staff has always been congenial, and helpful.

Erin O'Hagan: Legit pilates classes, specialized range of group fitness classes and the best trainers!

Lydia Neher: The first thing that is great about this gym is the cleanliness. I have not been to another gym that is as clean as this one. The entire facility is spotless. I’m also very impressed with the type and quantity of equipment at this club. The basement has everything you need for weightlifting and powerlifting. This gym also has a great community feeling. The manager, Hadji is wonderful, knows everyone’s name and makes you feel very welcome. The other members are friendly and approachable. So much better than a chain gym!

VIDA Fitness at The Yards: what do users think?

Sandie Bonwinkor: I’m currently a new member at this gym, so far I have to say.. everyone has been super nice and the energy of the gym naked me want to go hard (harder of course). The price for the kind of “luxury” gym and energy of the gym I think is worth it. Also, I get gym shy (lol). I quickly got over that because EVERYONE is literally in their own space and world, but super nice. It feels like I’m just kinda working out and doing my thing (which I love).

Hope Greenleaf: Love the pool, the actual gym is great, the classes are just okay, and my favorite part is the luxurious locker rooms complete with sauna and steam room!

Joe Edward: Amazing gym. If they ever close down, a night club could move in without changing a thing.

Todd Marino: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityThe staff is super friendly and down to earth, they definitely took me by surprise! If you go at the right time, the gym is practically empty too; nice spacious, ridiculously clean & modern areas that you only have to share with a few others. I don’t use any of the amenities for your comparison purposes, to include the locker room.

Equinox Sports Club Washington, D.C.: what do users think?

David Gershman: Today I signed up and had a great experience. Mike, in membership, not only showed me around- they answered every question with full clarity, gave me far more insight than I expected, and was simply very nice and sweet. I knew I was going to get a membership going in, but it’s nice to get warmth and comfort instantly upon arrival. Felt like I was one of the regular folks

TPMT Associates: Love it here as usual - they take care of the place and most importantly, the people who works out here take care of the place and is clean and tidy and doesn’t trash the place. As usual, it’s the people who come to gyms that are the messy/dirty and this place doesn’t have those ppl - not that I saw anyways!

John Heinemann: You get what you pay for. This gym doesn’t make sense for everyone, no one is a better person for going here, and a free gym in an apartment building is going to do 90% of what Equinox does. But the other 10%? I actually look forward to working out more when there’s both a sauna and a steam room, a saltwater pool, luxury bath products, memory foam floors for stretching, and refrigerators full of Eucalyptus infused face towels. I go for the amenities, and then I just decide to work out because I’m already there.

The Energy Club: what do users think?

Tarica Danielle: My body felt so amazing leaving my first Zumba class with the fitness instructor Blair! I broke a great sweat and had fun while doing it. I highly recommend fitness training with Blair as well as visiting this facility!

Muriel Hubbard: This is simply the best gym there is. It’s more than just a place to come and get fit. It’s a community of people who care about each other and revel in each other’s successes and encourage each other to be the best you can be. I love every day I come to The Energy Club even when the work is harder than I think I can handle. And I always learn that I CAN handle it because all that requires is giving 100% whatever that 100% looks like that day.

Jen W: Small gym with excellent equipment, great trainers, and a really nice locker room.

Stephanie Bredahl: I’ve been a member for about 2 years and can’t say enough great things about this gym. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, easy parking. Amazing classes! Love Patrick’s classes, I train with him too and if you’re looking for a personal train he is outstanding. He pushes you, makes sure you have proper form and makes each workout ‘fun’. Spin classes a great-they got new bikes recently and new gym equipment. Try the rock climbing wall!

Christian Lilakos: The Energy Club is a great value for the cost. They house any and all equipment you need to train, whether you are a competitive athlete or just looking to train for general fitness. There is everything from functional equipment to Olympic platforms. There is even a small rock wall. I’ve been in correspondence with Howard, whom made sure to show me all of the facility and amenities . He also went over and explained the different membership packages, as the club has different options to suit your needs. Highly recommended.

Angelo: UPDATE: Donald (GM) is a true professional. He personally reached out and worked out a plan that would be beneficial to his establishment and customer satisfaction and peace of mind. Thank you Donald. UPDATE: Stellar staff and great amenities, never a wait for machines or weights during the times I workout. Very clean and functional extremely pleased with this gym. UPDATE: Still love this gym, just a quick note, locker rooms have towels, soap, shampoo, and just about anything you can think of or need. Always stocked and clean. Staff always has a smile and ready to help.

Amelia Marple: Probably the best gym I’ve ever belonged to ever. I was a member for about 3-years and referred many people to join this gym. The staff and comradarie among the other members was unbeatable.

VIDA Fitness City Vista: what do users think?

Michael L: Equipment is good, busy but not crowded in the mornings. I really appreciate that they don’t blare music here like some of the other Vida locations.

Branden Bateman: Ive been going to this gym for a bit more than half a year and appreciate that this location is less busy than other locations like the U St Vida. This gym is smaller than other locations but it also has a smaller regular customer base so it doesn’t feel too crowded, excluding the rare day where everyone in the neighborhood is fighting for a squat rack. There’s a diversity of equipment that is all in good condition - they appear to be adding in brand new machines right now also (August 2021). The gym’s air conditioning has had issues for about 2 months and is the reason I gave this a 4 star rating instead of 5. As someone with asthma, air conditioning at the gym helps me workout more effectively and avoid getting dizzy (especially with masks on). Doesn’t seem like there’s an end in sight for the lack of AC. I appreciate that VIDA management has reached out to members over email to keep us on the loop since it broke. My personal trainer is great and the reason I’d probably keep coming back to this location if I move further away. He’s friendly, kind, and knowledgable on the human anatomy. I feel like I get my money’s worth with sessions and, in addition to workout routines, teaches me the reason for doing workouts a certain way (I.e. the muscle attaches here and here so you want to rotate slightly). I would recommend personal training sessions to other people like me who struggle staying motivated. Equipment: 5/5 Staff: 5/5 Facilities: 3/5

Ali Saad: I like that the layout is all on one easily accessible floor. I’ve been going for a month at various times in the day and haven’t had to wait on cardio or strength equipment. The new men’s locker rooms have spacious showers and large, clean sauna and steam rooms. They’re currently updating the women’s.
